I was in town on business. Some of the group was staying at the Wyndham so we were meeting at bourbon street. For a restaurant tied to a hotel I was surprised how good it was. I started with the shrimp and seafood gumbo. I was definitely satisfied. Good base flavor from the roux, okra, and the shrimp and crawfish. I went with the seafood jambalaya which had shrimp, crawfish and oysters. I enjoyed this as well. Large portion that i didn't finish. Also, the offset bowl design it came in was a nice touch. I think 5 of the 6 of us started with a hurricane. 4 came in a hurricane glass and the 5th came in a Pilsner glass. It was 8:00 on Sunday and not that many people in the restaurant so thought it was odd they didn't have enough hurricane glasses at a Louisiana restaurant. Also, the drinks came a little slow for my liking. The only other thing I noticed was that a colleagues ceasar salad had tomato on it. Overall I thought it was very good.

I travel for a living, and was staying at the Wyndham hotel, on 9th st. I just wanted a simple dinner to go from the hotel restaurant. It was the Burbon Street Seafood, other restaurants required more of an effort and I was exhausted. I just wanted to eat and go to bed, the next morning I had to get up before 4am. I ordered calamari, and crab cakes, to go. I don’t know what I ate, but it was not calamari, I’m not even sure it was fish. It was long fried pieces of some sort of tasteless white fish filets. The crab cakes, fell apart, and were completely covered with some sort of pink sauce that turned into a plate of crab mush. It was way over priced, plus they lied and said it was calamari, when it wasn’t. The worst part was when I woke in the middle of the night, very sick, and vomited the whole thing up. A hotel restaurant should be more diverse -couldn’t get a burger or something simple.

This restaurant is in the Wyndham Hotel and is nicely appointed with outdoor seating along the north leg of Riverwalk. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient. We sat outside and when our server brought our appetizer a fly landed on the plate. She quickly picked it back up and said she would get us a new order. We had the Bourbon Street Shrimp as an appetizer and it was excellent and flyless. The shrimp is sautéed in a roasted garlic and white wine sauce and served with white rice. For our entrées, my wife had the bouillabaisse and said it was very good. I ordered the eggplant with shrimp and scallops served in a creamy saffron sauce. It was delicious. All-in-all, we had an enjoyable experience.

Food choice from plain to Cajun spicy, service was great, food served hot. Great Pork chops with apple sauce and asparagus. Many choices on the menu and we've tried many all were freat, full of taste.

Staying at the Wyndham Garden hotel for what was a very stressful visit to San Antonio on a family emergency, we first encountered this restaurant the day we flew into town-- After a long day, we came into the bar for happy hour; had a couple of drinks and ordered off the happy hour menu-- OMG! For the price ($5.99) , the portions were awesome and the food was delicious-- our bartender (Karim) was attentive and sweet and it was quite an appreciated respite from a hectic day. During our stay we had one more "Happy Hour", this time with Jesse-- he made us feel at home with his kindness and engaging personality. The last experience was a very late dinner with awesome food and live jazz musicians-- it was fabulous :)

I was extremely surprised at the selection of seafood this restaurant had to offer! It was extremely clean and the service was great. If you can't find something on this menu you like then you have a problem. We ordered oysters with crab meat and they excellent. I ordered a Mahi Mahi filet with crab and a delicious sauce and that was great! My husband had a creole dish and he said it was also excellent. The prices were moderate. I would have expected to pay over $25. for my meal and it was $22. and there was food left over for another meal. It was the largest Mahi Mahi Filet I had ever gotten in a restaurant! Great Find!

the food was good. This restaurant did offer a happy hour with special drink pricing and selected menu items.

We were referred to this place by the man who works at the art museum, he told us they had great salads and he was right. We were seated immediately with a view of the newest part of the riverwalk and served warm bread. Even the art on the walls was especially nice. Food was fantastic, waitstaff were overly efficient ...when the third waiter tried to take what he thought was my finished plate I finally just let him have it out of embarrassment for continually trying to hang on. Note to waiters...ask before you take...not as you are whisking the plate away causing the customer to have to grab for it to keep it.

Snuggled in the Wyndham Gardens Hotel with wonderful patio dinning along the Riverwalk where we enjoyed a great meal with good drinks and Mariachi music. The service was very good. The mussels were great as were the oysters Arrmon.

The oyster appetizers, tilapia, martinis, and everything else were delicious - best oysters I've ever had!

Maybe my standards are high because I live in Texas and have many friends from Louisiana, but I wasn’t impressed. We ordered hurricanes to start, and since those were good we had high hopes. The pan seared crab cakes were beautifully presented, but lacked flavor and texture in the crab cake itself. For entrees, we selected the Saffron Pasta and the Diablo Pasta. Again, the dishes were plated beautifully. The saffron pasta had that beautiful color you expect from saffron. The predominant flavor in the dish was just “fishy.” Yes, it’s got shrimp and crawfish in it, but this was different. Somewhat off-putting to me, personally. The Diablo Pasta is an imposter in terms of “Diablo” for anyone who likes spice. (If you think black pepper is spicy, then avoid this dish...it’s that level of spice.) It lacked the punch I would have expected. The shrimp were flavorless, like boiled cocktail shrimp just tossed on top. The shrimp and the dish overall would have benefitted from some additional flavor. Maybe I expected too much. But if you’re going to name your restaurant after the famous Bourbon Street in New Orleans, you need to deliver the flavor.

My husband and I had lunch with friends after receiving a rave review from our daughter who had eaten there with friends in the summer of 2018. The service was excellent and the ambiance nice. However, the food was a disappointment. A restaurant claiming to be a seafood restaurant should know how to cook seafood properly. The shrimp bisque had a nice taste, but was not as thick as is usual and the shrimp were overcooked. The same was true of the shrimp and craw-fish in the seafood pasta. It had a lovely saffron tomato sauce, but the shrimp and craw-fish were tough due to overcooking. Also the black intestines were not removed from all the craw-fish. The fried oysters' breading was tasteless, and they were also overcooked. The desserts were also disappointing. The pecan pie looked like a store-bought pie with its crust, and the sugar topping on the cream brulee was the thinnest I've ever eaten. The brulee was also a bit runny. It's hard to believe that the same chef who cooked for our daughter in 2018 did the cooking at a lunch in August 2019. So, the old chef needs to be brought back or a new one hired.

A friend recommended this restaurant and I was not disappointed! We shared the Seafood Fondue which was an order I plan to make again at a later time! We each ordered Gumbo and this too filled the bill for quality and taste—recommended!

This is a great place with real New Orleans seafood. Not the over fried, over spiced stuff most people associate with cajun food. It's fresh fish with amazing toppings. We had fresh Mahi Mahi with seafood topping and fresh trout with a different topping. Both were as good as you can get in New Orleans. I've lived in New Orleans for a few years and ate at all the best places. Commanders Palace was one of my favorites there, but the food here in San Antonio is as good. I think they had a couple of fried seafood selections but I didn't try them. Maybe next time. Sits on a manicured section of the riverwalk but not the areas where you have crowds walking by. It's quiet, romantic, and sits on the shady side of the river. The river taxi can take you there if you are downtown, or want to take it from the Pearl Brewery. We ate outside, but they have a nice spacious inside dining area. Don't expect a dark, stuffy, expensive place. It's reasonably priced, great service, and a nice place for conversation with your main squeeze. If you are a tourist visiting San Antonio, try the downtown crowded busy overpriced restaurants to get what most people see, then try this place for where you get can great food, calm ambiance, have a conversation with your guest, and really enjoy where us locals go. I've lived here for over 25 years and tried most cajun places that come and go. This is the real deal.

Came upon this restaurant by accident as we were, coming from the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, heading to our hotel about 5 minutes away. Glad we did, the food was delicious, which I had the shrimp and crawfish etouffee and an adult beverage and the service was fast.

Staying at a hotel nearby and wanting to sample some San Antonio seafood, I found the BSS online. Not realizing it was located in a hotel, we entered with some trepidation, wondering what we may have gotten ourselves into...it was a Tuesday evening around 7:30, there seemed to be only 1 other party in the restaurant. We were getting nervous... The server greeted us promptly and genuinely. She was a delight. She presented menus, took drink orders, and returned to take our order. We ordered the Oysters Bourbon Street to accompany drinks, and explained we were not in a hurry, wanting to relax and enjoy our company and meal. The oysters, and our side salads were served with warm breadsticks and a delicious garlic basil pesto. My husband enjoyed his Shrimp and Grits, my Shrimp Bourbon Street were very nicely done. The drinks were good, cold, and the food hot and tasty. The service friendly and genuine. The only minus was with so few customers, we felt rushed.

This restaurant is inside the Wyndham Garden Riverwalk hotel so I gave it a try since that's where I was staying. I went for lunch and the lunch menu is very full and the price is just right. I had the fried shrimp and fries and it was very good. They also give you freshly baked bread. Yum!

It was ok. Place is quiet and the ambience was nice and away from the hustle and bustle. The seafood was over cooked a bit but the flavoring was great. Victor gave great service.

One of tha nights we were treated by a duo of piano and sax that kept us after dinner for another couple of hours. Excellent!!

What a great find in the Wyndham Garden along with Riverwalk! They have a large menu and their plates are definitely Texas sized, I loved the chicken picatta over pasta and will be back. The servers were non-intrusive and were there when we needed them.

Love eating here! The food is amazing and the portions are huge. This is a place to have a romantic night out if you wanted.

Large portions, I ate only appetizers, frog legs, snails, and alligator all were good, daughter had jambalaya was very good

Located a very easy walk from the San Antonio Museum of Art, this was a perfect spot to have dinner out on the patio, overlooking the River Walk. We split a crab cake with red pepper sauce which was tasty but suffered from over-battering & deep fried until it was hard. We had the Pasta Primavera with shrimp (nice but very bland, had to ask for lemon) and Pecan Crusted Chicken which was fine. They pour a very generous glass of wine which was welcomed! I would go back if ever in the area.

we have eaten at the one on l604 and loved it, not so much this one, shrimp was not as good seemed old and not freshly cooked, veggies were super bland, the BREAD was hot and amazing. Friend staying at hotel so easy to eat there, and based on the other one we ate at we were excited. Not super bad, not super good, just medium and for the price..ouch! I will return but to the one off l604 that is wonderful. Just disappointed.

I highly recommend this bar/restaurant located inside the Wyndham Garden Museum Reach hotel in Downtown SA. The food was so incredible!

My wife and I ate here Wednesday night and it was fantastic. We started with a calamari appetizer which was some of the best tasting calamari I've ever had. My wife had the Diablo Redfish and I had the Blackened Mississippi Catfish dinner that came with shrimp, crab and crawfish. It was delicious. I wish I remembered to take a picture of it. The portions were large. My plate had 2 filets of tender catfish. The waitress told us we were her first table of the night. We arrived at 8pm and she said she had been there since 5pm. This location is inside the Windham Garden Hotel. We parked along St. Mary's street and walked to the restaurant. We can't wait to go back, we really enjoyed the food here.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate a friends birthday. Ordered the fondue and it was good but could have been better by adding some Cajun spice to it. The fried catfish was not season to the New Orleans standard but OK nonetheless just added a lot of salt and pepper. My husband enjoyed his garlic shrimp and the fried oysters and shrimp my friend had said it was OK also. But one important ingredient missing was the Remoulade sauce. No New Orleans type restaurant should ever be without this sauce. If they don't want to make it they can order it from Arnauds.

The restaurant is located inside a hotel which did not thrill me as a first impression. My husband and I sat outside on the patio which was very relaxing and intimate. We ordered four appetizers as our meal and they were cooked to perfection. In my experience seafood tends to get overcooked, not here. The alligator was tender and the shrimp were succulent. The crab cakes were not the best I've ever had (that was in Maryland, of course); but, they were cooked perfectly as well. A nice crisp exterior and a moist soft interior. All in all, an excellent meal. The Skinny Cadillac Margaritas were delicious as well.

we were picked up by our friend , brought bus to a great place for happy hour located on the riverwalk , we were very impressed by the quality of the great food presentation the drinks were awesome . the service was top notch and the view was great we had oysters armor , crab cakes, bourbon shrimp, mini ettoufee, calamari and shrimp fondue,us guys had 4 margaritas get the only 16$ free valet parking has its located within the hotel we are going to stay there next visit great time here and quite if you like also has outdoor dining happy hour only available in the bar section

My friend and I were looking for a good seafood/cajon restaurant and discovered Bourbon Street Seafood Restaurant, located on the Museum Reach of the Riverwalk. Street parking was easily available, and river view was very pleasant. The food was both a hit and a miss. He had the shrimp and catfish combo with steamed vegetables, which was excellent, while I had the red beans and rice with andouille sausage. The red beans were under cooked, and the sausage was sliced too thin. The facility is beautiful, and in a great location on the river. I will definitely try it again soon.

This restaurant is on the Riverwalk but away from the busiest parts. It’s located at the Wyndham hotel. We enjoyed sitting on the patio on a recent weeknight. Service was excellent as was the food. We had the Shrimp Etouffee and Shrimp Bourbon Street. Very delicious! We saved room for dessert and they have some great options. We chose the Mississippi Mud pie and were not disappointed. Prices were reasonable for a Riverwalk restaurant. Highly recommend!

I've enjoyed this place ever since I found it last year. The etouffee is pretty good but the pasta primavera is my favorite. It's inside of the hotel situated right on the river so on nice days you can sit outside and watch the boats go by. The bar area small but nice if you're solo. The service is not bad, just average, but the food is worth the visit.

The Shrimp fondue was amazing - so good! The Andouille sausage was also delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the happy hour red wine and margaritas. Located in the Wyndham, we weren't expecting too much. The only regret is that we went there on our last night in San Antonio. If we'd gone there the first night, we'd have been there more often!

The food, service, live music and location is great!!! Its on the end of The Riverwalk but its so nice and away from all the madness. The complimentary valet parking, while dining, is wonderful. Its an added perk. The happy hour is wonderful!!! The Catering Manager is Wonderful!!! We had an event and she was very accommodating!!! She was even working that evening to make sure we were okay. She continually checked up on us and the servers were wonderful. I highly recommend this place!!!

This is our 2nd time, and again, we had great food and pretty good service. Minerva, (our server), tried hard, but she was obviously new but she gave it her best. Happy hour is full of great deals. We will be back!

They made us pay for empty wine glasses so we can make a toast for New Year's Eve managers Rude staff was rude and they didn't promise what they said they would give us

Just follow the river walk to the North-East and shortly after the locks you'll find this gem. The Oysters Bourbon Street were cooked to the point. Warm but still juicy. And very tasty! As a main course I had the Seafood Jambalaya. You could bathe in it! A little bit hot - but just right - and lots of crawfisch, Oysters and Shrimp. All washed down with a nice unoaked Chardonnay and accompanied by some life smooth Jazz - perfect!

We spent most of our day traveling and wanted something close for dinner. The hotel concierge assured us the seafood at Bourbon Street was excellent and the servings generous. Dinner began with warm bread and an emerald green cilantro pesto. It was tasty. We followed that with the oyster trio which was very good. The oysters were small, but the toppings more than made up for that. It felt like we got an actual crab cake on the Oysters Edward! We ordered the Pontchartrain Red Fish and Jambalaya. My husband said his dish, Jambalaya, was excellent. It was, indeed, filled with seafood. My dish, however, disappointed. The fish, which I would describe as delicate, and the shrimp, were well prepared. However, the fish was covered in a brown gravy that took away from the enjoying the seafood. I moved the seafood to my bread plate and enjoyed it plain. The rice was bland and mushy. Two bites were enough. The staff were friendly, but after rushing our order our waitress was mia. If we lived in San Antonio I might give them another chance, but with 4,000+ restaurants to choose from, maybe not.

Having just come back from New Orleans, I can tell you that this place might even be better! I probably had the best Shrimp Étouffée I've ever had. Coupled with their fresh bread, it was a meal to die for. Not over done, not over-spiced, cooked to perfection. Their appetizers were great too. Our waiter Miguel was attentive, courteous, and friendly. The manager (female) came over and checked on us a couple of times, even taking time to explain one of their exported beers. The young lady at the door was smiling and welcoming. You can't beat great service like that. To top it off, there was a nice breeze, so sitting outside by the River Walk made the night even more enjoyable with a good friend and great conversation. If you're from out of town, there's a great new upscale rooftop bar across the street so it's perfect for an after-dinner cocktail I highly recommend it Bourbon Street!

I was on SATX for a week- ate here three times. The drinks are great- staff very friendly. I had the étouffée (who knew you could get it in texas!) Fried catfish and later a fried fish platter. Really nice a great restaurant even if you are not staying at the hotel. They have tables right on the river walk

This place was so good the first day that we decided to come back a second day! It was just over a mile each way from the Courtyard Marriott and it is needed after the food! Portions are huge and a culinary delight! We had shrimp etoufee and the grilled shrimp and sausage with he red beans and rice. Both dishes off the charts! Second day was the alligator bites a crawfish po boy and the jambalaya. Man we’re these great! I recommend going from 11 to 4 though. The prices are nearly halved and the portions are the same! If you walk away hungry it’s your own fault!

My husband and I ate here while staying at the Wyndham Garden San Antonio. We enjoyed Shrimp Po'boys and the Cajun fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. Prices were very reasonable and service was great.

The food here was very good but we had very poor service. I don't know if our waitress was new, but she was slow and not very informed on the menu options.

We stopped in here mainly to sit on the deck and have a drink before walking back to the Blue Star, where we had started from before going to The Pearl. Even After we told Kara, (our server), that we were only having drinks, she brought us some fresh bread with a pesto dip that was delicious. We ended up having a couple of rounds of drinks, some gumbo and creme brulee! We will definitely be back for lunch and/or dinner. Good job Kara!

I went for dinner with 8 friends. I am not too big on typical New Orleans Cajun seafood dishes, but I tried a "special order" to get exactly what I wanted and it worked perfectly. I ordered my Lightly Blackened Mahi Mahi with lemon butter and lump crab meat on top. I ordered garlic mashed potatoes on the side (separate plate) and a custom salad with romaine lettuce, tomato and vinaigrette dressing on the side. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious! Their dinner rolls are also to die for - I eat mine with butter and then another one with my salad - they are so hot, fresh and good. A friend tried my Mahi Mahi and decided that he will order the same thing the next time we come. It was so fresh and tasty, but not too overpowered with the blackened flavor - just right! I told the waiter that they should add this to their menu. (Actually it is on the Papadeaux's Restaurant lunch menu, where I usually eat it all the time. Bourbon Streets was BETTER than Papadeaux's!) I could not eat all the garlic mashed potatoes, they gave me so many. I also shared them with my friends who already know how good they are there. I hate "field greens" when I order a salad, so I was so glad that they could basically give me a Caesar salad with no croutons and just substitute the vinaigrette dressing on the side. Every part of the meal was perfect, even the "Arnold Palmer" with iced tea and lemonade that I ordered - careful, however, no "free refills" on the AP's. When you go to Bourbon Street, special order exactly what you want and you will not be disappointed. And to boot, the cost came out about $4 LESS than their typical Cajun items on the menu! (I paid around $18.) Maybe I just hit them on a good night, but I was really impressed. I think that you will be also. Go Tigers!

We were given this restaurant as a recommendation from another restaurant so its nice to see them supporting eachother. The food was amazing but our server was ridiculous. I don't know if she was new or what but she messed up several things and paid no attention to us even though we were one of 2 tables in the whole place. Finally the manager started coming over and serving us and he was a lot better.

This restaurant is located in the hotel we were staying at and after a couple of ok meals on the main riverwalk we decided to eat close to the room. We were treated by a friendly wait staff and seated with a nice view of the river. Fresh bread and pesto was served as they got our drink order and then our dinner order. I had a red fish Alexander ( topped with sausage, shimp and crawfish) served with dirty rice and my wife had a shrimp and parmasian Alfredo. The dishes were delicious and cooked to perfection! Great flavor and plenty on the plate..

I had the fried oysters and they were perfectly cooked and tasty. My wife had seafood salad which had sautéed crab and shrimp. It was beautifully presented and very good. Son had combo of fried fish and oysters. He wished had only oysters because while fish was good, the oysters were great

We visited the newest location in the Wyndham garden downtown on the upper river walk The food was outstanding. They immediately sat us on the patio where a live jazz band was playing This area of the river walk is much less crowded and more laid back. I had red fish with a melt in your mouth sauce that included crab meat and crawfish. Will return!

This restaurant is one of our favorites for special occasions. New Year's Eve was one of them. There are three locations but we always go to the restaurant on IH 10 in Leon Springs. The restaurant is large and decorated in muted tones and is separate from the bar. The menu offers a wide variety of seafood. Our selections included stuffed flounder two ways: stuffed with crabmeat and one with lemon butter sauce and the other with a red pepper sauce. My husband proclaimed them both good. I had baked stuffed shrimp which were delicious. The salads were soso...basically a spring mix of greens. The salad dressings were good but our waiter got confused and didn't bring enough so two of us shared the vinaigrette. Overall, our party enjoyed their dinners. The service was less than exceptional. Our waiter and his assistant took drink orders and food orders efficiently, and served our party of eight together. However, instead of asking if anyone wanted dessert and/or coffee, we were presented with our bills. I really don't understand the reason for this oversight. The restaurant wasn't crowded and the wait staff didn't seem rushed. Overall, though, it was a nice start to our evening.

Kind of pricey but when there is nothing nearby what you gonna do? We just had a couple of drinks (beer) and some snacks and if I remember the bill was about $70. They also would not take a VISA debit card issued by Wyndham Properties that day.

Went to this place for dinner based on Tripadvisor reviews. My hopes kind of sank when I found it was attached to a hotel but, I thought, what the heck, it IS on the River Walk. Not busy at all on this Tues. evening. My wife and I shared a fried calamari appetizer which was very good. The calamari pieces were obviously cut from a large squid and resembled chicken fingers. The breading was nice and crisp and the spicy marinara sauce was very tasty. My preference would have been the more traditional "rings & tentacles" presentation but it was very good. I'm not much of a fish eater except for shellfish and fried catfish but the Redfish Ponchatrain caught my eye so I tried it. Delicious. A grilled filet cooked just right and covered with a "brown butter & mushroom" sauce and accompanied by dirty rice. Very ample portions of each. Not much atmosphere in the dining room but they do have outdoor seating available overlooking the river. The menu was pretty extensive and our server was very good. The menu is ala carte and not cheap but with entree prices in the $20-$30 range not any more expensive than similar resturants on the river walk. I would definitely go back.

I find this restaurant to be a place well worth a visit. Avoid the restaurants along the Riverwalk and go here instead. Serviceminded staff, nice interior, live music and really nice food for a price that was in the right range. I had a grilled fish and it was really good. My colleagues took the red devil dish and they were really satisfied. The only drawback I can think of are the surroundings, avoid it by going via the Riverwalk. Will come back again if I am in San Antonio again.

The salads, pasta and fish were all very good. The blackened chicken was a little salty for my taste, but I am one that does not use a lot of salt. The bread pudding was OK, a little dry for my taste, but the creme brûlée was outstanding. Bar drinks were also very good. The atmosphere was VERY pleasant, whether you sit inside or out. A nice breeze outside, not too busy or distracting (because of the location on the Riverwalk.) If you come just to the restaurant, and are not staying at the Wyndham, then parking may be an issue. The hotel only has valet parking, and I am not sure of the other parking in the area. The hotel staff was very helpful in letting people know their choices, though - I just didn't pay that much attention to what they were telling to others because we were staying at the hotel and valet parked. Pleasantly surprised to find a cajun restaurant of this quality on the Riverwalk.

We stayed in the Wyndham where the restaurant is located. Had appetizers here the first time, I had the Mussels and my husband had the Seafood Gumbo. We LOVED both. The weather was nice so we sat outside right by the Riverwalk. The Gumbo was some of the best we've ever tasted. The food was so good and the menu so appealing that we went back for dinner on our last night. I ordered one of my favorites, Crawfish & Shrimp Etouffee and my husband ordered the Fried Catfish and Shrimp. The bread they brought out was hot and delicious, along with the olive oil "dip". My Etouffee didn't disappoint and my husband said his catfish was "melt in your mouth" good. Service was great. They have a nice Happy Hour as well. Would definitely recommend and return if I visit San Antonio again!

My husband and I had dinner outside this past weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was FANTASTIC! We had been here before, in September, for my birthday and I requested a repeat due to the fantastic service, food, and atmosphere. When we arrived, the dining area was crowded so I asked to be seated outside and was granted a wonderful table next to the river. We ordered appetizers and split an order of scallops. WOW! The scallops were so fresh, tender, and YUMMY! We each had one drink and we truly enjoyed our time. What a wonderful place. We will be back!

I've stayed at the Wyndham Gardens a few times now and eaten at this restaurant every time. It's good +. I have always stuck to the fish filets thanks to the first waiter recommending them. So I've had the 'Alexander', the 'Iyla' and the 'New Orleans'. All really tasty and lots of it. I would not hesitate to recommend.

The restaurant is in a great location. Good was very tasty and service was great. Valet parking available. Which was a nice service👍🏽

My wife and I stayed at the Wyndham Hotel on 9th Street. We ordered room service from Bourbon St. It was by far the MOST AMAZING PREPARED MEAL we had ever eaten from a restaurant. Even with tax and 18% Gratuity all the food we ate was only $65. The meal was a stimulated taste bud extravaganza. You have got to try the food at this location. It will be well worth it.

Hotel restaurants can vary greatly on rating scales, & it was a real pleasure to try this restaurant while staying @ the Wyndham Garden Site, which is close to many attractions & still free of the usual frenetic activity of the Riverwalk. The appetizers were so great that we had to seat for dinner. You cannot do better than the fried catfish platter with corresponding side dishes. Service was outstanding & cordial. Highly recommend this in-house restaurant. If you are on a diet, forget it for the evening!

the scallops where huge and perfectly cooked the rice was the best I have ever tasted and that egg plant in off top delish. A little pricy but well worth it.

We visited here twice during our stay in San Antonio. Granted it was easy since we were staying at the hotel, but it was also because it was tasty. Our server Vaughn was friendly and attentive. He was our server two nights in a row. Friday evening there was live music outside which was very enjoyable. The first visit I had the Pontchartrain redfish and it was very good. My husband had the jambalaya which was also very good and so much food he couldn't finish it. He and I split the dish the second evening which was plenty for the two of us. Our daughter had the chicken tenders the first night which were pretty good, the second night she ordered the kids hamburger and it was OK, bit dry but she prefers them plain - it would have been better with something on it. Our adult beverages were good - the mojitos are not a mix and were really good - I ordered regular and not one that was flavored. The prices are higher but I think they were on par for the amount of food received. The Jambalaya alone was probably enough for 3 or 4 people (true serving wise - hungry American wise we made it work for two). We really enjoyed the restaurant and would visit again if in the area.

Location is in the north of river walk so its posh and price as expected is $$. This is the type of resto that you’d like to spend in a very occasional and romantic winter evenings. The etouffe was creamy and cheesy and portions were more than enough for my small appetite but i think its a bit overpriced for a cajun food.

Having wine outside on the patio was lovely, including the south d of the water fountain in the pool. Very, very relaxing.

The Cajun food just . . . wasn't. Rice, yes. Tomatoes, yes, Seafood or Sausage? Maybe. Taste, heck no! Salads, on the other hand, were huge and well prepared. Service varied tremendously by server. The bus boy was the most helpful of the wait staff I encountered.

Very good food. Restaurant is located in the Wyndham Gardens Riverwalk Hotel. We had both breakfast and dinner here. For both meals the food was freshly prepared and very tasty. It's a bit on the pricey side but worth trying.

Walled there for dinner... wasn't sure about it but it was so worth it. Awesome food and the seafood jambalaya was to die for. Great place for a romantic dinner with the wife

The atmosphere and decor was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive and satisfied our every need. But the food was bland and obviously wasn’t cooked by people that were proficient in New Orleans cuisine. The food lacked taste and definitely tasted nothing like what you’d find in New Orleans. Nice experience I just wish the food followed suit.

We ate at this river walk location and it is lovely. It is located in the newly expanded area of the riverwalk. They have outside seating and a great happy hour with a large variety of appetizers and drinks. We had oysters and scallops and they were fresh and very nice quality.

Really thought from the reviews of others that this place would be a homerun. Not so much. For our table we a fish dish, etouffee and a salad. None of them were anything to rave about. The mashed potatoes that came with the fish were probably the highlight.

Had blackened mahi-mahi and blackened salmon and both were excellent. Always ask for lemon butter sauce on the side. EVOO and cilantro for bread is better w/Parmesan. Service friendly but not trained. Forget their soups. Gumbo was too salty & Clam Chowder was flavorless.

Have eaten here twice, the first visit not so good, tried the Catfish, was the first time ever, was nasty, this visIt I tried the Chicken, very moist and tasty. Would recommend a try.

We met some friends here while visiting the Riverwalk. I read a review in Destinations. The food lived up to the review but the service did not. Each course had a distinct waiting period . Even to get water and the check. I spent so much time waiting I had to think about what I ate. The oyster trio was very tasty. My seafood Cobb salad was large and tasty but nothing spectacular. We skipped dessert and opted for sweets elsewhere.

This is my favorite seafood place in San Antonio. The good is always great. The prices are pretty good and the portions are good. I love crispy french fries and their crispy shoestring fries are awesome.

We went there for dinner but saw the size of dishes being served so decided to order appetizers instead, The carb cake with onions and the bourbon Shrimp with rice were absolutely delicious. The ambience along the river walk made for a delightful evening. our server was most accommodating in seating us in a quiet area so we could converse.

First time visit for lunch white linen table, services was great Crawfish and shrimp gumbo full of shrimp and crawfish, okra green peppers white rice and a broth that is perfect ! Shrimp Poboy was full of freshly bartered shrimp and the roll oh the roll !! Pecan crusted chicken was by far one of the best chicken dishes I've had You better go hungry !!

Great food with great service next to the Wyndham Garden Riverwalk Hotel. Our waiter, Abraham, was very friendly and got all of my corny jokes. Our family had a lovely time.

I thought the food and service here was good. I was pleased we didn't have to worry about going far to get good food so we could make our lunches quick between our meetings. I believe they made the food for our breakfast as well that was in our meeting room. I thought it was good for what we needed. Not gourmet by any means.

great service and view of the Riverwalk. I ate outside and enjoyed the covered patio. Excellent value.

This place is connected to the Wyndham Garden Hotel and has great food. We had our family reunion dinner here and 32 out of 32 people were happy. Get the Mahi is was soooo good.

We had concerns about this place because it wasn't very crowded, and then we realized that the crowd was outside. Even better for us as we were tired of the summer sun and needed a quiet cool place to relax. This place was heaven on earth for us. The fantastic bread and olive oil, the relaxing ambiance, and the very friendly staff made it a great start. We then ordered dinner, I had scallops and my wife had one of the shrimp dishes. Wow! the food was amazing, seriously as good or better than any of the big name commercial restaurants. Housing the location within a small business hotel might make you take a second look, but don't give it a thought. Stop in on your next trip to San Antonio, you will be happy you did.

This restaurant far surpassed our expectations and food was superbly prepared and tasteful! Frankly we had been a bit disappointed by the restaurants in the main core of the Riverwalk area. They were all good, but a bit pricey and not outstanding. Since we were staying at this hotel we elected to try this place out much due to reviews I had found. Great Choice! We enjoyed the Happy Hour at the bar, no crowd, pleasant jazz music, very attentive bartender. I did not care for his margaritas however. That was the only down experience of the entire evening. I tried 2 different ones, neither were up to standards I think due to the sweet mix he used. However we did have a wonderful broiled oyster appetizer that was excellent. Can not recall its proprietary name. Then come dinner and my wife had seafood pasta which was richly loaded with lots of large tender scallops and shrimp in a not too rich sauce. I had New Orleans style mahi mahi which was outstanding. Blackened to perfection in a fabulous sauce with good amount of crawfish and crabmeat in a slightly spicy sauce. We would gladly get either entrée again. This was our best dinner during the 3 nights in San Antonio and well worth seeking out if you are hungry for Cajun seafood.

The jambalaya was very standard and very over priced. It could have been made with a packet mix. The best part of the meal was the bread.

Food always hot fresh and served with a smile. Cajun food cooked to tame anyone’s wild side. Love the gator bites and relaxing dining.

My wife and I were surprised at the quality of food and service. We headed to the Pearl Brewery by way of the Riverwalk and decided to stop at Bourbon Street. We both enjoyed the atmosphere and will return.

Was here with 21 others for a veterans reunion. We made reservations twice for the group. Tried most items on the menu, everyone was pleased with their dinners. Good choices for wine as well. I had the shrimp creole the first night and the pork chops the second night. Service was very good. Some even had compliments about having lunch as well. Worth a try in you stay at the Wyndham Garden Riverwalk hotel.

We ordered the pecan encrusted tilapia and chicken and mushroom dish.we sat on the patio and were promptly forgotten. Wine took twice as long to arrive, requested salt and pepper never arrived, extra oil did not arrive. Although the waitress was very pleasant, she was very bad. Sorry, but service is a big deal to this diner.

Food was just OK. Service could be better. Hard to get attention. Did not clear table before attempting to serve next course.

My husband and I headed down to the Wyndham Garden Hotel on the San Antonio River (103 9th St.) to begin a weekend of socializing with the 1966,'67, and '68 graduates of Oliver Wendell Holmes High School - in other words, my 50th class reunion! - and chose to kick off our first evening with dinner at the lovely Bourbon Street Seafood restaurant, conveniently located on the first floor of the hotel itself. What a perfect choice! Before I even start on prices or menu, I want to emphasize the incredible service - which always makes such a difference in my attitude toward everything else. Our young waitress, who was aware of the reunion, was friendly and curious about 'the 60s' while still being efficient and spot on with our orders. Our food was prepared in a reasonable amount of time, served piping hot, and beautifully laid out on our plates. I almost hated to eat it. Almost. One of our companions shared his escargo, which I've never enjoyed before but loved this time. My seafood pasta was out of this world, with large shrimp grilled in a lemon sauce served over perfect linguine, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his blackened chicken. (Bourbon Street Seafood offers many Cajun dishes, by the way, but no one at our table selected one.) The prices at Bourbon Street Seafood are very competitive with other seafood restaurants around the city, and less than other establishments on the San Antonio River. It's a wonderful place to spoil yourself just a tish without completely breaking the bank. Just a few steps away from the restaurant is a lovely patio overlooking the San Antonio River, which is a beautifullly romantic sight any time of year. Give yourself a treat very soon and come on down! Bourbon Street Seafood is open seven days a week, 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (Tuesday - Saturday), 11:00 - 9:00 pm Sunday, and 11:00 - 9:30 pm on Monday.

Only in San Antonio for a week and had to come back to Bourbon Street two days in a row. Kayla was our waitdress both times and very sweet and attentive. Blackened catfish with shrimp was delightful. The fresh baked bread with pesto was irresistible. My friend had to have the salmon again, too!
Excellent Food
I really enjoyed the cajun food at this restaurant. I ordered the catfish po boy with fries and it was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.
