Good food, crappy service.

By William P |

We have been here a few times on Friday nights for the $14.95 Prime Rib Special which is always very good. Last night was probably the last time that we will go for some time. While the food was great, the service was lacking. Several times our small party waited an exceptionally long time for drink refills while the staff took very good care of the regulars. I guess that they're not interested in creating more regulars.

Food average - service was very good

By BendRNA |

Went to lunch with 3 other employees, I had the buffalo chicken wrap which was good, one of the guys had a chicken BC bowl which he said was very good. Server was swamped but did an excellent job taking care of us (thanks Chelsea)

Get your cake on!

By APennero |

Kinda found this place by accident and so glad I did. I was so impressed I keep coming back bringing somebody new each time. The service is fast and friendly and the good is great. Don't worry about leaving room for dessert, I don't think it is possible. I always get it to go. If you are on FB, start following them because they post the special every day. Can't tell you how many times it has changed my dinner or lunch plans.

Delicious.

Mellow atmosphere, delicious food. Menu with great options. Service is a bit slow at times, however patience is a virtue.

A new fav!

Bridge City has good food and cheap (but good) drinks. And they have Cake! Weird for a bar i know. But they are amazing. Try the Captain Morgan Carrot cake. Oh and the steak bites and onion rings. I would have given this place 5 stars, but there was a little issue with one of our waitresses. Our first left because her shift was over, and our second was not so great. We had to chase her down any time we wanted something, and she acted put out. She then brought us our bill before we were done and asked us to settle up. We were going to have a few more drinks... I told her my date was in the other room playing slots so it would be a few minutes, she said she'd be back. Well instead of being patient she went in and found him and asked him to pay the bill! So, aside from the waitress who was obviously having a bad day, this place was a great place to hang out with friends.

They let us in early!!

By Laura C |

We were getting our car service at the nearby Toyota dealer and this place didn't open until eleven. It was 10:40 and they were able to open up and serve us. They service was so friendly. The food was reasonable and was excellent. Lovely place to eat if you are at the Toyota dealer. We sat outside which was lovely.

Nice Sports Bar

By egustafs56 |

Nice, fairly new sports bar in a newly remodeled building. Nice layout. Excellent menu, excellent food. Very reasonable prices. This is definitely the best sports bar in the southeast part of town.

New favorite place!

By 415bobf |

Stopped in one night, met some friends for a bite to eat, ended up being happy hour time. Had steak bites and a dinner salad. Dinner salad was great for only 4.95, steak bites were also very good. Its a sports bar-restaurant, lots of tv's, all are on sporting events of some sorts. We really like it and have been back many times sense. Great Staff, very helpful and friendly.

Excellent!

By TakeMeAway07 |

We were a group of 5 adults, 2 teens, 2 babies. Came here because it was halfway point for everyone coming in different directions. Walked in and was a little unsure because it felt like we were bringing our kids into a bar. Seated and greeted right away, great service and wasn’t annoyed with our kids, which is a huge bonus. Even better, the food was EXCELLENT! Only ordered happy hour sliders, salads, steak bites, Mac n cheese. All delicious! Go, you won’t be disappointed.

What a Sports Bar Should Be

By JJFHMB |

If you are looking for a fun place to watch a game.....this is it. Full bar, great selection of beers, good food, and TVs everywhere. Plus, AMAZING desserts. They specialize in homemade cakes, including great ice cream cakes. It is all provided by a very friendly and attentive staff. And, if you are lucky, your team will win.

Just OK

By Roamingrhonda |

We went to breakfast here last Sunday. There were 4 of us and an 8 yr. old. It took awhile to receive menus. It took awhile to order and receive our drinks. It took awhile to receive our meals and they had 2 of the meals incorrect. The meals were good except they kind of scrimped on the hash browns. The wait staff was friendly and the owner came to fix the mistakes in our order, which was nice.

Bridge City Taproom Does It Right

By Julie N |

This is a busy atmosphere, but well worth it. I have never had to wait or be turned away. Sporting events on the big screens and live music at times highlight the amazing food. Don't see it on the menu??ASK. Don't like the combination??ASK. They are helpful and seem to love their jobs. Do not let the bar in the center of the room fool you, children are permitted during certain hours. Great place to gather with a group of friends or work buddies.

Family birthday

Amazing service, amazing food, I had their special which was So good. Large. Prawns, linguine in a garlic lemon sauce. Really yummy. Delicious desserts. Fully stocked bar and different games on all the tv's. Definitely recommend.

Gluten Free Cake to DIE FOR!!!***

By heather m |

I had a slice of the freshest, most deliciously flavorful and moist gluten free Carrot cake I have had anywhere in this city. I've eaten a LOT of gluten free cakes and I'm also a chef by profession. So when I say it was delicious - I think I have a solid place to make that call. I can't wait to go back for another piece.

Awesome dinner

By mtammy939 |

The food and service were both amazing. Make sure you save room for dessert at this place. The owner makes them from scratch daily and they are to die for.

Lunch

By Jenna S |

I love tacos and decided to go to this restaurant because I heard they have amazing street tacos. On the menus, they had tacos with pork but I don't like people so the waiter got the meat replaced with chicken. The tacos were amazing and definitely going to go back for more. The waiter was really helpful and nice.

Good food, but the cake wins at this sports bar

By Heather G |

I have been here a couple of times now. Not much to look at from the outside and inside it looks like your typical Portland sports bar with the big screen TVs, board games in the corner, NFL portraits directing you to the bathrooms, etc. The staff is friendly and if there isn't a big game going on, they will change one of the TVs to the sporting event of your choice. It can get loud (it's a sports bar) but the two times I've been there, I've still been able to have a conversation with my friends without having to shout at them. The food is good - they accommodate allergy-related substitutions or requests without acting inconvenienced about it, which is always appreciated. But the cake. If nothing else, go for the cake. They are made daily by the owner and most of them are Ghiradelli chocolate based. And the slices are huge! You can easily get two or even three servings out of them. So far, I have had one of the hot dogs (which was delicious) and the pork street tacos - after eating the tacos, I may have found my go to item on their menu! (They also reheated well and tasted just as good as leftovers which is an added bonus in my book!)

Nice New Find

By PDXWineauxs |

I had passed by Bridge City Taproom for two years. This past Monday, my sister and I decided to meet there for Happy Hour. We both really liked it. The atmosphere is good, the drinks were well made and the food was tasty. She had steak bites and onion rings while I had the shrimp cocktail. At 4PM, there were very few people there. By 5PM, the place was packed. We will definitely meet there again and work our way through the Happy Hour menu.

Love this place!

By DLackstrom |

This place has great food, great prices, great service. It's a win-win-win!! Their burgers, sandwiches, even the wings are great! Lots of beer options! Full bar. Highly recommended!

Good food, Outstanding Service

By douglase252 |

I just wanted a quick burger & decided to stop here. Nice clean friendly place. The burger was excellent, but the service was outstanding. The server was a young lady named Jessica. She did a great job. I'll go back with my wife soon because of the wonderful food and service.

Great beer!

By Danielle H |

Several taps available and the selections are fantastic! I love the tuna poké and their Reuben sandwiches! Good fries and burgers too. Bartenders are great in here. Super fun to come when a big sports game is on, lots of big TV's and high energy! It's gets pushed though for these big games. Coming before they start is your best bet for a good view.

60th Birthday Bash and Bowl Game Party that was awesome!

By Rob S |

We had a party of twenty that went to this pub and had an absolute blast! The service was excellent, the food was good, and the drinks were reasonably priced. We spent several hours partying and watching football and the servers kept everything organized including separate tabs! They were awesome! While there is construction going on and it is hard to find the entrance, the fun is inside! We will be back! We even had a friend hit the Video Poker machine for $200!!

Everything is GREAT! Cake is amazing!

By Cathy P |

This was the first restaurant I visited when I moved from the Bay Area of California, and I was NOT disappointed. ALL their sandwiches are awesome, and the Pink Champagne cake...well, I had it over 6 months ago and I STILL can't forget it. The servers are sweet and attentive, and SUPER busy, and its a sports bar atmosphere, but the food is terrific! Took my family a few times, and they all loved what they got.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

By john m |

My wife and I loved going to this place until yesterday! The pandemic is in full swing and masks are required for anything indoors. We walked in and saw that not one employee was wearing a mask. As we sat at our table we witnessed a young female employee, wearing an orange shirt enjoying eating finger food at the kitchen counter. She would stick her fingers in her mouth, then pick up customers food and deliver it to them. She proceeded to lean over customers food, with her mouth right next to food and talk to the cooks. She was having a discussion about finding a hair in food the day before, very unprofessional. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Great Go-To Sports Bar

By Rick V |

Love this place because of the food and atmosphere. Discovered the Bridge City Taproom on accident a couple of years ago and fell in love with the Happy Hour menu. More specifically the Street Tacos! I'm Latino and really appreciate homemade tacos and the Bridge City Taproom not only delivers but they actually have real Mexican's working the grill which add on to authenticity! I've had many other meals there as well but these are my go-to especially if there is a game I'd like to watch with friends. This is also a family restaurant and has lots of different menu items for many different times of the day. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a quick drink and appetizers to a full on dinner. Thanks Again! -Ricky V.

Great for happy hour; Great for other times

By Marcia M |

The six of us were seated right away at this roomy sports bar and grill. We all ordered from the happy hour menu and everyone found something they liked, although the regular menu has plenty of reasonably priced options, too. Pork tacos and sliders were substantial, while the steak bites were a smaller portion and a little overcooked for me. Happy hour drink prices and options were excellent! Craft brews were only $3.50, if I remember correctly, and they had some delicious ciders as well. The many t.v.s made this the perfect place for the sports fan. Service was excellent.

A good place to watch sports

By KommissarKen |

Good microbrew list, tasty food with a fairly wide pub menu, many screens with a variety of games. Service is a little sketchy -- servers in a Taproom should never say "I don't know much about beer." Lucky for me the bartender did.

Great food!

By Silg503 |

Have been here 3 times with friends. The burgers are yummy and the philly sandwich is awesome too. I had great margaritas here too. I reccomend!

Be sure to ask for the Cake Menu!!

By Judy M |

Their food is great. But since the day we learned the owner bakes his own cakes it's our go-to place

Great service and food selection.

By Dana C |

I have been here many times and I have never been disappointed. Their food is consistently fresh and good.

Put BCT on your radar

By Sean B |

We continued our scouting of the outer SE Portland area for worthwhile "Date Night - Happy Hour" spots, and we were not disappointed when we walked in. The interior had changed significantly since we had last been in (under former ownership - a Thai venue), and immediately spoke to the sports fan in everybody (several large screens, viewable from multiple locations, were broadcasting an NLCS game). 2/3 full, but not crowded @ 5:00ish. A brief survey of other patrons' plates as we walked towards our table only made us hungrier ("Was that salmon"?). We had drinks within minutes of sitting down (I couldn't pass up a pint of Boneyard's Hop Venom, located at the top of a nicely diverse daily tap list - see photo) and food shortly thereafter. We shared the bay shrimp martini (excellent horseradish bite to the cocktail sauce), the pulled pork tacos (container of salsa could be bigger - smoky goodness), and the BC sliders (see photo) off the happy hour menu, and were full by the end - but of course we saved room for a slice of the grasshopper ice cream cake (see photo - one piece was enough for both of us), because, well, everybody saves room for dessert on a scouting trip. Including drinks, we walked out of there for less than it costs to go to the movies. We will be back - while we found real silver (value and flavor) during our brief visit, we believe that there is gold to be had off the regular menu (including some great looking desserts). Well done, BCT - your coordinates have been added to our Navigation.

Great food

My wife & I decided to try out BCT recently for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. We each had a sandwich and a beer.

A Very Nice Looking Taproom

By RSNN |

This is a nice taproom. The bar is near the entrance and has seats all around it with the bar staff in the middle serving those seated around it. The place is a sports bar with screens all around the bar and the room. Lots of places to sit inside for eating meals. The is a small area for video Poker that has about six machines. There ate lots of sports related art up high toward the ceiling. The Oregon Ducks one in particular caught my eye. Yes the duck looks just like Donald Duck throwing a fit. Next to it is something for the Portland Timbers. Looks like a wood axe model hanging on the wall. It is a pleasant place. Smart looking and comfortable to sit and kill time drinking. Or stopping in for a meal.

Consistent Food & Service

By SkiCatter |

Good selection of food & brews with specialties such as ahi and poke, and homemade corn beef and desserts that will keep you drooling until your return. Big tip of the hat to servers Amy and Steve whose friendly service makes you feel like a valued customer.

Great Happy Hour!

By Robin T |

My first time here while visiting my daughter. She and her roommates come here frequently, and she was excited to take me. Great happy hour drinks and menu. Good service and fun atmosphere. Will go again when visiting.

Great place...

This is a good place. I went with friends for a happy hour and everything that we order was good. I saw even the regular menu and it has good prices. A lot of beers to choose. I'll be coming back for sure

Great food and place to watch a game!!!

By Pam |

My husband and I stopped in here when it opened at 9:00 AM on Saturday to watch a football game. We ordered breakfast and it was very good - eggs well-done (not runny), the bacon crisp, the hash browns and muffin added to the super meal. The wait-staff were very friendly and attentive. There was no pressure in any area. Great place to eat and watch a game!!

Our favorite local Taproom/restaurant

By Ron B |

This place is a dream come true if you like an excellent selection of craft brews at fair prices. Food that pleases all pallets is available every day. Ok details are weekday open at 4 and HappyHour is 4-7 all week and weekends 7 days. $3.50 pints for HH and $4.50 pint after 7. Well drinks if you like are low priced too so ask for yours. Food menu is A+ selections as well there is a large HH menu right on the main menu to peruse. Last but not close to the least are huge Desserts, all house made by the owner Jason. He has a long history as do most of the staff working at a now closed Portland landmark The Refectory. If your a local this Very friendly Sports Taproom will become your place. Plan to share some Carrot Cake or Ice cream cake.

Tasty

By kjbugd |

we decided to try the place and were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked it. Some of the group decided to share an order and there was no problem with doing that. We were all pleased with the food and the amount of it. I had rhe hot dog that came with the kraut and hours later I am still full. The prices were reasonable and I will definitely be back.
