Food was amazing with great flavor! Jamie had incredible customer service! She had an infectious personality and was always smiling. We never had to wait for drinks she kept them coming as needed. She gave recommendations and didn’t try to fake her knowledge. If you eat here ask for her to serve you! You won’t be disappointed.

Jamie was absolutely amazing! We had a birthday treat here for my daughters 16th birthday and she day was completely made by the hospitality of our waitress and staff!

One of our best experiences on the Riverwalk! The servers were so nice and entertaining! Our server Jamie was the best! She even gave us trivia while we waited for our food!

I want to separate the wait staff experience from the food. Our waitress was super. Attentive and cheerful and did everything right. The food is disgusting. It is the worst quality food i have ever eaten. Tasteless and inedible. When you serve 5 shrimp and you took ONE shrimp and cut it in 5 skinny slivers and then add a mountain of gooey breading and fat, that is NOT food. It is unfit for pigs. Everything about the food is so horrible that i still want to vomit in my mouth hours later. TripAdvisor is usually so helpful. How did this restaurant get rated so high? We were in disbelief. I can’t stress enough how awful everything on the menu is here. I am just hoping we live through the night. Pray for us.

Great food and great service by Jaime. The portion size is huge. Had the fish chips large size and the size of the fish portions was more than I could eat.

Fun atmosphere, good meal. The cajun shrimp was extra yummy! 😋 and the BBQ ribs were very good! We'll definitely be back to this or another Bubba Gump Shrimp!

Our server Jessalyn made our dining experience fantastic. Everything she recommended was perfect . The food came out at the correct temperature and fast. It was so delicious we couldn’t even have desert. Jessalyn had another server trailer her and she was super fast clearing our plates and did an excellent job as well. What a great way to spend a Birthday with phenomenal service and superb food and drinks. 5 stars is a no brainer for this place. We will be back soon.

Stopped by for lunch today and the staff was incredible! We loved all the movie trivia questions our server had, and the food was so good! I can’t recommend the net catch enough and the stuffed shrimp is probably my favorite dish I’ve ever eaten. It was our first time at one of these restaurants, and they left us hungry for more in the best way! We can’t wait to come back.

Jamie did an excellent job taking care of our family as we celebrated our newly graduated Airman! She took the time to do trivia with us and was so much fun!! If we ever visit Sam Antonio again we will definitely come back!

Nice location on the Riverwalk - good service, food average! It’s been a long time since we last frequented a BG restaurant and it is unlikely we will visit one again. Much better options on the Riverwalk are available.

Had a great time with the family! From drink recommendations to food recommendations our waitress was on top of it and had great taste! My baby loved his pasta and husband enjoyed the New Orleans shrimp! I had the ribeye of course and it was all worth it! Next time you come ask for Jaime! Shes the best!

Very good overall. Jaime is a great server! The outside is right on the riverwalk so it has a nice aesthetic to it. Lots of fans outside as well. Good place to stop

We had such a wonderful experience at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co in San Antonio on Saturday while visiting the RiverWalk. Fermin was our bartender and he was absolutely fantastic!! He was so friendly and made us feel welcomed, his kindness was truly appreciated!!!!

Friendly Staff and Right Service. The friendly place with the idea of the movie Forrest Gump. Decoration of the film. Regular food. Hopefully it gets better, I liked the casualness of the restaurant on the river. Therefore only 3 stars. Personal opinion based on my experience. I like to eat well.

Best place to eat out of all the places we ate on the river walk. We did reserve our table just in case it was busy…food was great. Kids loved it and they’re picky eaters. Our drinks from the bar came out quick. Service was exceptional-this is what made the experience even better. Jaime was our server and hope we get her the next time we come down!

Our server Tiffany was an absolute sweetheart!! 😍 Made the experience so great, kept our drinks refilled, and even played some Forrest Gump trivia with us! Food was decliuois, resteraunt was clean, all in all 10/10! 😊❤️

Lunch was a delight! Sat inside as it is hot in December this year. Christian was our server, friendly, knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor! My fried shrimp was the best I’ve had in a long time and the fish and chips were fresh filets of pollock which made my husband very happy! For a chain the food was exceptional! Loved the margaritas and taking home a shaker!

First time for me, the place was clean. The service was fast to serve us. No long wait for the food to be made and served. The food was hot and delicious.

The service was great and the food was delicious. Our waitress ensued that our orders were correct and our glasses were never empty.

Staff are lackluster, some lacking in English skills, others more interested in scrolling on their phones than being attentive. Phones should be in a lockbox at the start of shift. One member of staff was more concerned with cleaning the windows than cleaning dirty tables! Slow service, spent begin to describe our experience. I swear time was running in reverse for some employees. Food was ok, my fish was partially cooked but didn’t want to make a fuss as was only one bite remaining was undercooked. Paid by card, however was accosted by management claiming payment hadn’t gone through, my bank shows hold for $100+, I now find my bank balance $100 less until either they claim payment at which point I dispute or wait an undefined period for the transaction to be returned. Paid in cash. As of this point a $100 Lunch cost $200.

The service,atmosphere ,and food are all top notch. Steak temperature was spot on. Gus our server was attentive without being overbearing. And he was very knowledgeable about The movie " Forrest Gump ". This was a real plus for me as i am also a huge fan. I woul say that this restaurant is a must stop whenever you visit San Antonio, you won't be disappointed.

Came in for a quick bite for lunch, and food was great, but the real star of our vist was our server Q she went above and beyond as our server! She is the definition of a great server!!!!!

Great spot, with plenty of tables. Unfortunately the outdoor terrace have limited capacity so you have to be lucky if you want to dine outside, which has a great view of the river and plenty of tree shades as well. Service is normal, nothing fancy, and the food is good, as well as the prepared spirits.

We had an incredible dining experience at Bubba Gump! The seafood was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Our server, Jamie, was fantastic: attentive, friendly, and incredibly fast, making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant’s location offers a beautiful view of the Riverwalk, making the ambiance even more enjoyable. The food is excellent, of the best seafood I have ever tasted, delicious. What is quite wrong is the service. They took me a coke that I never ordered but they did charge me, I agreed to pay because I didn't want to claim. The waitress wouldn't let us eat in peace asking every 5 minutes if we wanted anything else. The worst part was that we were just finished eating our bill without having finished our drinks and there were many empty tables at the time. The food of the best but the service makes you feel very ill served, considering that the restaurant is expensive.

Went here based on high review rating. The food and drinks were not impressive. My mahi was tough and dry, served on an unimpressive plastic plate. This restaurant is more about the experience of flipping the license plate than a great dining experience.

Just married and my husband never had been to Bubba gump. He enjoyed it, we sat at the bar we had a great bartender/server “Kayla”, . That was our best and favorite since we had been in San Antonio, we had there for 3 days.

The spot is amazing, funny awesome staff, delicious food, cool gift store, with great views of the San Antonio Riverwalk. The outdoor seating area has fans, which is great for those warm/hot days (a lot of other restaurants on The Riverwalk doesn't have outdoor fans). Military Veteran friendly! So on an empty stomach I was led to bubba Gump yesterday. And I'm so glad I was...the lady helping us was the sweetest funniest most knowledgeable lady I have met in long time....the trivia game was awesome and she was professional all the way...

I must say, I really enjoyed my time here. The environment and vibes were super friendly and warm and the food was absolutely delicious. The nice girl who served me, Tiffany, was such a sweet girl. She was nice and respectful, took my order promptly and with no mistake. Over all I enjoyed my time and I look forward to my next visit. 10/10.

The food was great, I had steak n shrimp and a pomegranate punch. The atmosphere is awesome. They have forest Gump playing and they play trivia about the movie. Jamie is a really cool server. Cookie and crawfish were really good. Cookie sundae really good. Plus his approved, but he eats everything so I don't know if his opinion is really that reliable.

Chef Rafa absolutely cooked with his heart because I ordered an appetizer and A Full meal and it was the most delicious fish plate I've tasted. I travel a lot but today I mark Chef Rafa as Chef Gordon, Pro on his profession. To mark my day special I also was assisted by Sharon who was so sweet, attentive and cordial. Very nice location that allows you to dine adjacent to the riverwalk of San Antonio, in the middle of the nightlife. Turning to the dishes, compared to other places of the same sign we tried, this time we found them a little less tasty. In particular, the fried squid was really dry and not very tasty. Good crab roll. Fast service.

I really enjoyed my early morning visit. Jaime Lynn sat me close to the river and she was an awesome waitress! Very friendly and great service. The Baja ceviche was the perfect snack, 10/10 would come back!

Food was delicious and Gus was great! Love Bubbas! We sat out by the riverfront and loved the ambiance. Would highly recommend!

Bubba Gump is located on the River Walk and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately, I found that my popular Cajun shrimp is no longer available. The food tasted good so far, but by American standards the portion was rather small. The service was friendly and fast. Location on River Walk is top.

We had the best experience with our server Q. she was on point and fast. The food was great! She even took care of the Mac and cheese situation cuz my son didn’t like it. Will be back again!

Place without a doubt is nice, the service is very good, with very attentive waiters. But the options are basically fries. Is it bad? Far from that. The food is good, but I repeat, it's a lot of frying. Prices are also high. I'm sure that with the same amount spent, you'd eat more and better elsewhere.

We was very disappointed with the experience. The food arrived cold, and the overall service was poor. The jambalaya was the worst we ever had. Considering the high prices, it really wasn’t worth it. It felt more like a tourist trap than a genuine quality experience. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Waited and waited….we never saw a server in over 20 minutes even though it wasn’t packed. A table seated after us and had a server visit with 5 minutes of them sitting down.

Jamie was a wonderful host and waitress. She was very attentive to our needs. She also facilitated a game of trivia about the forest Gump movie.
