Bubba's was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Pleasant atmosphere with TVs everywhere (sports bar/restaurant). Fast friendly service. Food was outstanding. Burgers were over the top great as were the seasoned fries. Everything arrived quickly and was hot and fresh. Special sauce was unique and a great addition to the meal. Trimmings and pickle slices were fresh and perfect. Great menu selection. Great experience.

Our first time to visit this establishment. My goodness! The food was absolutely delicious! Despite being busy, the food came out in a timely manner. Absolutely delicious!

We visited this place for the 1st time and it was delicious. We were a party of 5 and we ordered several different plates. The waitress did take a little long to take our drink order, but once we asked for her, the manager came by, apologized and gave us a free appetizer. The food was delicious and the ingredients were fresh.

We ordered the salmon, and a side salad. Salad was wilted, and some of the lettuce was brown, it looked old. The salmon was really greasy. I do not normally write a review, but we have many choices for a quick bite. We will never eat there again and more importantly, will not recommend this place. We informed our wait staff but they did not seem to know what to do. All the TVs worked great.

We stopped in here while we were staying at Hyatt Hill Country as it was close. Was a Saturday night and they had all the college football games on. The burgers were great as well as the drinks. Our server Isaiah was awesome.

This was my second visit. My first visit; I left it was an hour waiting time. This time around was 20 min - no problem waiting because I heard burgers were delicious. Took them an hour to bring our plates out - understood place was pack. When I got my delicious burger I cut it in half and found a huge piece of hair. Got my stomach upset. I call the waitress & showed her the burger with the hair. I was not upset I asked to do another burger. She said the manager was going to talk to me. He never did. Burger took another 30min while my family had already finished. I told the waitress I did not wanted the burger to cancel order. We stayed there chatting away and manager never showed up. All I wanted a simple apology that's it. No discount on my wings I order for appetizers. Shame on you Mr. MANAGER. All I wanted was an a apology. Thank you for the bad service.

It's so good and they are always nice and timely. Good drinks, lots of food options. I usually get the garlic knots to start and then a margarita and either the bacon/chicken macaroni or the burgers. Our kids love going here as well. Loud, good for a party/families, and they have TV's all over for fun or for game night.

1st class service and the food was absolutely delicious. Couldn't fault anything. Tasted fantadtic. Recommend the tenders with fries and chilli. But tfe shrimp were great to

Friendly fast service and great food. Portion sizes were huge and qualtity was very high. The cicken parmasian was wonderful.

Good staff, great location. Interesting place to eat with cool decoration and plenty of TV's. Plenty of food to choose from. Got pizza which was salty but good.

Great service delivery food BUT AVOID PARKING IN THE BACK!! Truck broken into during busy time, there's no cameras in that area. They should put a warning sign THEFT ZONE atleast 3 or 4 breakins a week. Park with caution

Met there with friends. Place is always packed despite just opening. Lots of families early. There is a call ahead system but it is not a reservation system, just a get seated a little faster system. Service is excellent and fast. Bar appetizers, burgers, pizza, salads, sandwiches and a limited dinner menu (chicken, fish, steak). You can get burgers formed with 30% bacon! Food was good but not great, and plentiful. Lots of beer served at 33 degrees. LOUD and large TVs ringing the whole place, lots of sports.

We attempted to eat at this restaurant on a Friday night but the wait was over 90 minutes so we returned on a Sunday afternoon and were welcomed without a wait. Service: The hostesses were friendly and attentive. Our server was super nice, our glasses were never empty, and she checked on us frequently. Atmosphere: It is definitely a typical sports bar... loud, and full of tvs playing sports everywhere you look. The bar has garage doors on 2 sides which can be opened completely in nice weather and there are two sets of corn hole available on the patio. Food: Chicken sandwich: Perfectly moist and cooked to perfection. Sweet potato fries: Not as crunchy as I prefer but they were very good. Wedge Salad: It wasn't bad but nothing special about it either. Bubbas Bacon Burger: AWESOME! Tasted flame grilled, moist with a ton of flavor. Philly cheese Steak: Tender ribeye with veggies caramelized to perfection, great flavor. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals and will be returning in the future....Just not on a busy Friday or Saturday night.

My wife and I have gone to Bubba's on various occasions. They only open at 4 PM during the weekday but at noon on Friday and the weekend. The food has always ben palatable, the service has shown interest in getting to us quickly and accurately and the price has been OK. Management is constantly circulating and finding out about your experience. Il told Joe Fain that al their desserts are with chocolate and there is nothing for those of us who don't eat chocolate. He went to the kitchen and returned with a cookie with ice cream and chocolate sprinkle for my wife and a vanilla ice cream and a caramel sauce for me! How is that for listening to the customer. I will return!

Had some wings and they were AWESOME Michelle our waitress was great Will return soon. Highly recommended

We asked about size of lasagna and told large portion so decided to share. It was indeed a large portion and very good. Waitress was aware we were planning to share and indicate we would get second plate. Unfortunately two other girls brought out food without extra plate. They said would bring the plate over to us. Thankfully there was a plate used to bring out side of chili (I know odd side but husband loves chili which was good) that allowed us to split the lasagna. Never received the extra plate! I did have a side salad which was made with fresh chopped lettuce (not bagged), lots of cheese, chopped tomatoes and egg. I skipped the potato sticks “they do look delicious”. We enjoy the food, atmosphere and signed up for Rewards Program.

Staff and manager were rude when talking to me. Will definitely not come back. I was very embarrassed in front of my friends and family.

We arrived on a Sunday just before the lunch crowd hit so we were able to take advantage of the open seating area. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. He first recommended the Shotgun Shrimp for our appetizer and he was spot on. My sinuses can't take spicy foods but the shrimp had just enough to add a little kick without being overwhelming. I got the burger with sautéed mushrooms and Swiss cheese (sorry, don't remember the name) and my hubby got one of their steaks with a side of chilli. Everything was delicious! I can't attest to the noise complaints others spoke of, but there is always to-go as an option. They even have a couple of designated parking spots right in the front for those who choose to go this route.

Good comfort food at a decent price. Drink selection is good, my family enjoyed the margaritas. I had the bacon burger, it was quite good, and the fries are better than normal. Everyone else enjoyed their meal as well. Service was a bit confused-- we were asked the same thing several times by different members of the staff. In al, a good experience.

This place was super loud, wait was long, food was mediocre. Pretty expensive for mediocre food. I did like the candy bacon appetizer, but our cheese sticks were completely hollow like they were over fried. Our waiter took our order and then 15 minutes later came back to take it again (apparently he lost it) there was a full waiting area (and parking lot) and 5 tables around us were empty the whole time we were dining. Sorry, but I just wasn't impressed.

Ate here for dinner celebrating my sons birthday. We did the call a head seating and followed their instructions. We had a party of 11. Our seat time was 7:00pm. We checked in at 6:30. They said it would be a short wait. They called our party, but only had us for 6 people. When we reported their mistake, they said “give us a little bit to work this out”. In the meantime, they sat a party of 15 all at the same table that did not call ahead. They split our party, and when I questioned it I was told that was the best they could do. I was told that a manager would come and speak to me on two different occasions, this never happened. Our waiter probably bailed the restaurant out. He provided excellent service. The food was very good. The problem with this place is the people up front. Make it past them and the promise of a manager and the rest of your meal will be great.

We had a late lunch. Our friends like this place. I was surprised the food was as good as it was. The sweet potato fries stood out. Cisco supplied sea food was mid grade ie Atlantic Cod not Alsaka cod. With the price charged I feel it should be the better fish. 1 big rub was the blasting cold air from the ceiling negatively effecting the temperature of the food. It cools much to fast. You must shove it in or eat it cold. We mentioned it and the waitstaff ask for it to be delt with. It was not. So we went from a 4 star rating to a 3. This will be considered if the operunity to return comes up.

We stopped here because it was close to our hotel room. The pepperoni pizza was so delicious. The crust is a little thin and packed with flavor. Service was also fast. Definitely try if you love pizza!

Well, it was not to busy for a Friday night so we had no wait at all . Our server did an excellent job at taking care of us and making sure everything was up to par. I can not say enough good things about his service. The Food was delicious. I had the bubba's 33 ribeye steak, fries, and potatoes and my wife had fish and chips with the side shotgun shrimp basket. The ribeye was delicious and tender and the fries and mashed potatoes were great. The fish and shrimp were delicious as well and the tartar sauce was great. We also had a sampler platter with wings, fried pickles, and fried cheese sticks. Overall, everything was great

Great food, good service. First timers. Jamie has good energy and is on point with her service. Will definitely come back when we’re in town. Will let our family and friends know.

ADA compliant for Service Dogs…we were greeted warmly and friendly; no issues or hassles when we arrived with our granddaughter and SD. Server was spot on and super friendly; food was delivered quickly, delicious and hot. Military discounts given, great time.

We have been here 3 times already after work for some beer and food. The staff is always very energetic and ready to help with any question you may have about the food or alcohol beverages. The atmosphere is sports bar with televisions all around with all kinds of sporting events on them. The food is really great depends on what your in the mood for but burgers always go great with the big beers. The happy hour prices are totally in anyone's budget and I always get the $4 Ziegenbock beer, Huge, Huge beer! You will not be disappointed here. Expect to wait because a place this good there is always a wait.

I wish I had known about this place sooner . The staff is so nice . My waitress Shy was really sweet . I started off with the mild wings & Bubba’s fiesta dip both were excellent . I had the cheeseburger. One of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had . The restaurant is very clean . The other items on the menu looked really good as well . There was tv screens everywhere . Definitely the place you want to be to watch a game . I will most definitely be back . If you haven’t been yet you’re missing out .

This was the 2nd visit to Bubbas. The first time was a to-go order which was delish and quite prompt that I thought I’d come back. Met friends after work. Everyone wanted to watch the game so I suggested this place. Mainly for the beer yet they also have wall to wall televisions. While it can be a bit noisy especially when the home teams play, it is so casual you think you are at home. This time we had wings, mozzarella sticks and pizza which all were SUBLIME! I greatly suggest the classic ‘33 pizza. Some vegetarians were in the group and they found some options quickly. Waitstaff was quick and patient as we struggled to choose between the great array of options. Everyone had a blast, my team own and we will definitely go back to try the rest of their huge menu.

5 pm dash to find a tasty place to eat dinner without a long wait? Good luck on a Sunday in San Antonio! Just joking, coming back from a local event, I noticed Bubba’s 33 and decided to try a sports bar type restaurant. Be prepared to be greeted with a smile and welcome as soon as you step inside to check in. a 10 minute wait to be seated with a quick intro of who and what Bubba’s is all about before getting to the table! Awesome! I have to mention my servers name “Jo” as she was very cheerful and excited to explain everything Bubbas had to offer for the hungry customer. As usual I explain I am a first timer and ask what are the best items on the menu. She recommended the signature burgers and appetizers with a cold brew top it off. I read the menu asked how big were the the shotgun shrimp and the size of the main dish. She went out of her way to get a count of the shrimp! Anyway, I ordered the 14 oz signature steak, sides of broccoli and mashed potatoes and the shot gun shrimp. Medium rare is the way to go and to no surprise the expresso marinated ribeye was charbroiled to perfection! No joke, the steak was so tender, it cut like butter! And the taste was unbelievably perfect. Jo had seen me take the first bite and was surprised with my facial expression of total bliss. Yes it was that delicious! Any way, I finished the shrimp, half of my main dish and of course had my usual sweet tea with my meal. Yummy! The take out tasted just as good for the next days lunch! Another two thumbs up for a great restaurant and another thumbs up for having a military discount.

There always seems to be a short wait at any time of day. The food is definitely worth the wait. The most unusual item on the menu is the bacon burger. But beware, if you do not love bacon, do not order it. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was delivered quickly, hot and freshly prepared. The dining room is clean and well maintained. On the night we visited, there was a terrible odor of sewage in the restrooms, hopefully, that has been cleared up.

I've been to several different locations and have always been satisfied with the food and service. Today is one of the exceptions. They came out with a delicious Monte Cristo hot sandwich and few months ago. However, this location seems to not plan very well regarding the sandwich. I was told that the Monte Cristo had to be prepared the night before. I've come at various times and have been told that they are out. Today I attempted to order at 6pm and was told they were out. This is the 4th time I've been told they were out. Definitely poor planning on the kitchen manager's part. Not too mention the general manager as this wasn't an isolated incident.

Stopped for dinner after leaving work at Lackland AFB. New place, looked kinda neat so I thought I would give it a try. The place had recently opened so everything was new and very clean. Service was average and the pizza that I ordered seemed to be very short on toppings. I am from Chicago and a pizza like this would never make it there. Where Bubba's falls short is the noise level. The noise is so loud that it is hard to even hear the waitress take my order. I cannot imagine what the noise level would be during a game. The noise was so bad I had to change my order to go and ate dinner in my hotel room. Not a pleasant experience mainly due to the fact of the noise in the restaurant. Personally, for myself I most likely will not be back.

This place is on point when it comes to serving up a cold beer . I ordered a Bud Light draft and , I kid you not, The beer had ice chips floating in it ! You can't get much colder than that. I ordered the fish and chips and they were cooked just rig.ht . Their tartar sauce has a nice lemony zesty flavor to it . The burgers at our table were also served up hot and juicy .I also had a slice of the pizza my wife ordered and that was also pretty darn good . Since they wer slammed in the main restaurant area and there was a bit of a wait , we opted to sit in the open seating/ bar area. That worked ot just fine since we were able to check out some college football that was on . Overall the place is a great place to get some good food and did I mention that cold cold beer ??

Ate here with a group of 9. My only complaint at all was that they could not accommodate that size of group without using a high top table. One member of our group could not sit in an elevated chair, so we had to split into two tables. Our tables ate a variety of foods which were all good. Service was excellent. Would not hesitate to dine here again.

Took my wife here for her birthday at 6:00 had a 25 min wait to get in which was fine so we waited. when we finally got inside, we got seated, took 5 min just for our drinks and then our appetizers took 30 minutes then our food took over an hour to come out or server said multiple times that he was sorry, and that the kitchen was backed up. Bu on the other hand i saw people being seated getting their main course before me. Was told that the manager would come to speak with me, but she never did. It is a shame whoever is the night manager at this establishment. I have a bachelor's in business and this so-called manager was going to speak to me never came ridiculous. Hire a real profession team with degrees not this manager that keeps avoiding use after we waited over 3 hrs. And i paid for my meal $70. Not sure if this place is racist towards my Asian wife or what but the service was horrendous.

Great place!! Hopping place, busy and long wait for a table. But no wait at the bar!! Delicious Homemade Pizza, huge selection of drinks/beer, and great service.

Stopped in for a late lunch and were seated immediately. This was our first visit to Bubbas. Everything from the onion rings to the Bubba’s Burger tasted great! Good reviews also for the California Chicken. Shane provided great service! We’ll be back!

First of all, we waited 40 minutes after the hostess said 15 to 20 minute wait, but it was pretty busy so we understood. Our waitress was not enthusiastic at all. Never saw her smile once. Not to mention it felt like she was trying to rush us when ordering. Oh, and by the way, all their burgers are cooked medium rare unless you ask otherwise. I sent my burger back twice, and then the manager wants to come to my table to give me a lesson on how to read their menu, and how to order instead of just apologizing. Although, I never asked for a manager. Let alone ask for a manager to come and embarrass me in front of everyone. A little lesson for you Ms. Manager, the restaurant shouldn't assume everyone likes undercooked meat, and you can't assume everyone reads the fine print. You should really train your staff to ask the customers how they want their burgers cooked if your not going to cook them all the way, or at least inform them otherwise. I also told her that I wanted to eat with my family not after they already finished. My family had already finished and my food still wasn't ready. We had to wait longer. They had to put my food in a to go container. Wow. Ya, I wanted to go and wait to be seated, order the wrong way, only to get food to go. 2 hours I'll never get back. First time here; also my last. The bad thing about it is that I know they don't care.

My husband and I visited Bubba’s for dinner during our weekend stay in San Antonio. We had our fill of TexMex and thought this would be a good change of pace. The atmosphere is fun and friendly. Lots of tvs to watch whatever sport you might want. The staff was friendly and attentive. The pizza was really good. We loved it. But the beer. Yes it was cold. Honestly it wasn’t THAT cold. But it was SO watered down! We had four different beers between the two of us, and they all pretty much tasted the same. I was pretty disappointed that a place touting their cold beer and lots of selections on draft would have watered it down so much. But if you don’t care about that, it’s a great place for pizza.

Came here on the recommendation of a vendor from the gun show. We were a little apprehensive due to a couple of the latest reviews. We came to watch 2 different NFL games, and quickly found seats in open seating. Destiny and Heather took great care of cleaning a spot our beverages. I ordered the FIESTA dip per a good review while my husband ordered the mushroom burger. Both orders cane out hot and DELICIOUS! It's a fun atmosphere to enjoys the games, great food and super service! Happy birthday to our server Heather🎂

While on a biz trip tp San Antonio, we stopped in at Bubba's 33 to get a bite to eat. Really tasty food, cold beer and good service. So good... we went back a second night and had the same great service and food .

Bubba's 33 serves a DELICIOUS Macaroni, cheese, bacon and chicken dish. If you LOVE Macaroni and Cheese, this is the dish you should try!! You will not be DISAPPOINTED!!

Horrible service horrible food! Server was busy talking to colleagues? Asked for a drink never gave straws for the wives and grand daughters drinks we asked for silverware we had to go find our own… the food looked great but Italian sausage lasagna had no sausage… no herbs… fish and chips the same… the manager just said sorry…

The food was very good. The service was mediocre. We got the nacho pizza. Will be back to try other menu options...

Amazing food! We are here twice while in San Antonio for my sons AF graduation! All 6 of us loved everything we had! Burgers are amazing, Philly was great, all apps were so yummy! Service was fantastic! Couldn’t say enough about this place! We will be finding one closer to home!

The best way to describe this experience is Wow! Having always seen it packed since it opened I was curious but the reviews weren’t that great. Finally we decided to give it a try and now I am kicking myself for not going earlier. The place is awesome! They have wall-to-wall TVs (actually wall-to-wall), a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, great employees and staff, awesome service, and freaking amazing food matched with some of the cheapest prices I have ever seen for that quality of food. All their beer is served at 33F and it is so delicious that way! These prices were lower than most places too. A giant mug was just over $4. We had Bubba’s Fiesta Dip and it was a perfect mix of chili paired with seven layer dip. The seasoned chips...so good. That was a perfect app. All of us decided on wings. Four different sauces/flavors out of six were tried and they were all phenomenal. These wings are not breaded so none of that crappy breading and they are Massive! So delicious. We also got The Big Salad which was so big it went home as leftovers. Don’t hesitate! Go give them a try right now!

Had been wanting to try this place for quite some time. Waitstaff said famous for wall to wall TV’s , cold beer and their pizza. The Grands had pizzas and yes they were awesome. We split some wings and they SUCKED. Ever he baked wings with no flavor and no spices? Yup. That’s what they tasted like! Wall to wall TV’s were impressive but IF we return it will be for pizza, try their burgers and that cold beer. DON’T TRY THE WINGS.

The food is usually a disappointment, especially if you order a pizza with other entrees. Either the pizza is cold or the other entrees are cold or under cooked (like fries or tater tot’s undercooked). We do not mind the wait and usually go right before or after the standard lunch hour to avoid the rush. The reason we will go back after a bad experience is because it’s a fun atmosphere and the good food experiences. After our last experience, we will never go back. It was a Thursday and we arrived about 1:15. When ordering we asked our waitress if the pizza line was overrun with orders (seating area was not crowded) because we knew ordering a sandwich and pizza is hard for them to time. She informed us, the back was not overwhelmed and would be ok. I ordered a sandwich, my husband ordered a pizza. After waiting quite awhile, our waitress came by and told us she would go check on our food. When she came back, she walked right passed us without saying a word. After waiting a few minutes, my husband got up and asked her about our order, she annoying sighed. My husband let her know he didn’t appreciate the attitude, which she then responded. “Well, it’s Spring Break”! We then reminded her we had asked. She then said “I can bring you your pizza now’. When our food came, my sandwich was fabulous. The pizza was cold. You could look at it and tell it sat for awhile. This place has great potential, but it’s not worth the gamble on food quality. I’d recommend you pass. We are done with it.

Visiting San Antonio with family in town our other family from San Antonio insisted, we all try this place as it was a new restaurant to them as well. We used two tables because we had a party size of twelve (12). The waiter handled both tables and did it with efficiency. With a party size of twelve we had many varieties of entrées on the tables. I was very impressed with seeing they offered a quinoa and black bean burger on the menu. I typically take pictures but I guess I was too excited with trying the burger... LOL. I think they accidentally used to much salt on the burger so my brother in law finished it off for me. However, with that being said my husband ordered the salmon. He began ranting and raving about how good it was, it was time for me to sample😋😋😋 ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Very moist and flaky with just the right amount of seasoning to compliment the garlic butter mashed potatoes with broccoli on the side. FYI... I did ask my husband did he want my burger and he said," I don't want to mess up this tasty salmon taste in my mouth"😂🤣😂 Our son ordered the wings ( sweet hickory bourbon sauce) and he too was raving how great they were. Hubby tried one and did the same thing "raved". 🤗🤗🤗

We recently had dinner with our family at Bubbas 33 in San Antonio. We had a late lunch and place was not overly busy. Our server was polite and friendly. Food took a while to come out, However it was very good. Pizza is homemade and burgers were large. I would recommend and will return.

We unexpectedly stopped in and were delighted. We had the Happy Hour Burger Special and it was GREAT. It was a great price for a great burger. Our waitress was kind, friendly, and attentive as well. The actually looking forward to returning. Stop in. I hope you enjoy your visit too.

We've attempted to try this restaurant a number of times but its always packed--ever since it opened. We were finally successful in getting seated within 15 minutes and our waitress, Carissa, provided exception service, checking back on us regularly to ensure we didn't need anything, etc. We tried the Bacon Avocado burgers with tater tots which was enjoyable and also tried Bubba's Long Island Iced Tea, which hit the spot. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant out and intend to visit again.

OMG! Delicious food 1st time visiting this place and I'm totally a fan now!!! Love it My service wasn't the greatest as other customers but my food was delicious and that's what really matters.. Wife ordered the habanero burger 9of10!! Daughter ordered buffalo chicken sandwich 8of10! Myself ordered sunshine burger wow one of the best burgers I have ever tasted juicy beef patty The bread was great thick bacon strips nothing else to ask for !!! As appetizers we ordered their onion rings 7/10.. Their bubba dip left me licking my fingers like 10min. after finishing them amazing!! Definitely this is now in my top 5 restaurants in San Antonio!

We placed a curbside order for 45 minutes out, then waited another 30 minutes in the car before it was ready. When I called to check on order I was told they didn’t know when it would be ready and nothing was really coming out of kitchen. Burgers weren’t great, not worth the price. Coleslaw was terrible. Chicken strip/shrimp platter was three small pieces of shrimp and 2.5 strips. We tossed about half of a $90 order.

We decided to try out Bubba's after reading great reviews on Tripadvisor. I'm so glad we did!! I had the best burger I've ever had here. Other people in my group had the chicken tenders, philly cheese steak sandwich and the pizza and it all looked delicious. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you go to San Antonio. Staff was great and our waitress happened to be from Minnesota...we're from Iowa!

Excellent food and service! This was our first time visiting and we will come back and Refer others! Our waitress was very nice! She stopped by to check and make sure we were ok several times and even the manager came over and talked with us and invited us to come back and order a free appetizer! The salad was great as well as the burgers. If you are visiting San Antonio stop by! The portions are huge, food is delicious band the service is great!

Had a little wait but with it. Great wait staff and the burgers where second to none. Had the bacon burger and wife had a mushroom burger. Both were moist and juicy. Fries were fresh and hot. Would go again.
Great Place to watch a Game
Waitress was extremely attentive, decor was pretty cool. Drinks were priced amazingly and were good! But the spicy habanero burger was amazing!
