Old world Las Vegas serves/amazing food

By Satraveler54 |

Nikki our server was excellent! The entire staff amazing! From the time we entered to exit awesome experience! My husband and I have been to many restaurants, this was like an old Las Vegas experience. The food was great. I had scallops and my husband had the dry age ribeye both over the top. My skinny margarita cocktail was amazing. Let me also mention the sourdough rolls so so good! If you want a special and wonderful evening go there!

Average at best tasteless steaks

By Taryn |

I was looking forward to adding a new go to restaurant on our Vegas trips Not Here. This is over priced bland food. There was nothing special about this —- go to BLT or Ruth Chris instead. The steaks had no flavor at all, the only thing I liked was the special straws in our cocktail. I also do not like expensive restaurants that remind me of a breakfast place

Good Steak Restaurant in a Pretty So So Hotel (Flamingo)

By Andrea S |

Much better than many of the reviews indicate. We had great service from Sean at the bar and Micky? in the restaurant. Food and service were excellent. I asked for crispy fries and they were perfect. Steak was good as was steak tartar. The biggest drawback is that it is very expensive, well over $300 for two martinis, a bottle of wine, one steak tartar, one rib eye, fries, dessert and two coffees. If you can go off the strip go to Herbs and Rye. Fabulous steak restaurant with great drinks and fun atmosphere for half the price.

Great good and service will return

By David734NewYork |

Excellent service from Eric. Our food was cooked to perfection. We had the surf & turf special which was salad, an 8 ounce fillet and a lobster tail. The 8 ounce fillet was certainly enough. We were surprised the lobster tail was so large. The special was $120 per person. We shared a huge baked potato for $16. Mixed special drinks are about $25. We truly enjoyed our dinner. We have eaten here in the past and certainly will return.

Bad food , bad night

By Melvin B |

Very disappointed. They had a private event going on. They didnt tell us when we booked. We were seated in an area where everyone was walking by to the outside. It was cold and and a constant breeze. We should have left right away. I ordered a medium filet, it came out butterflied and cooked to very well done. I sent it back. When it came back it was under cooked and almost tasteless to boot. The bill included both steaks which I of course had them remove the charge for the first one. The waiter wasnt friendly. This was easily the worst meal we had while in Las Vegas. Cost was $240 with tip. Yes i still tipped.

Superior Steakhouse

By Dave E |

While staying at the Flamingo, I wanted to give the new steakhouse a try and was so glad I did. This is an amazing restaurant and a great addition to the Flamingo. We were seated a few minutes before our reservation time and immediately met with a professional staff providing superior service. The staff followed strict Covid protocol which was appreciated. Our waiter, Joseph, was extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the menu letting us know about specials and answering any questions that we had. Following a fantastic meal of a creamy lobster bisque and a New York Strip that was seasoned and cooked to perfection, I regret that I did not save room for dessert. Can’t wait to visit again and try more from this impressive menu. When in Vegas, this restaurant is the “go-to” place for fine dining!!!

What an expensive disappointment!

By brendatG8077EC |

The lobster mac & onion soup was nothing to brag about, we've had way better elsewhere. The seafood tower, big disappointment, lobster had no flavor at all and the mgmt could care less. we were insulted by our waiter bringing us a small champagne flute 1/3 full with crappy bubbly to make up for the bad lobster. We wasted our 30th anniversary eating here and will never return.

Amazing Experience

By Jen F |

The food and staff were extremely helpful and courtesy. Our steak and lobster was to die for. Cozy atmospehere. Our waiter was knowledgable about the menu, their recommedations were spot one. Can't wait to go again.

Overall tasty food and pleasant environment

By K S |

New restaurant, the coconut shrimp appetizer is excellent, the filet and rib eye also very good. French onion soup and caesar were are on par. Asparagus was a little big so somewhat tough on the ends but well cooked. Best old fashion my husband said he ever had for a drink. Bread rolls were a nice starter.. One odd thing was the steak knives were fairly dull and the steak could use a little sauce or something on the plate. Service was very good and everyone was attentive. Overall a very good restaurant though for price, I would say The Palms is a bit better.

Top 10 in Vegas

By Jeanne B |

If you are looking for the entire experience, this is the place. Our waiter, Edward, was phenomenal. He was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. We felt like royalty. The food was incredible. The charcuterie board and the bread board are a must! It is a good thing we did not discover this restaurant until the last day or we would have had dinner there every night. You will not be disappointed. Not sure why this has a lower rating because it is a 5+ star restaurant from the moment you get there until you leave. My husband and I eat all over the country and international at times, and this is one of the top restaurants.

Phenomenal food! No bread.

By Bobej |

We ordered the wgyu short ribs and Brussel sprouts and hubby added lobster bisque to his entree. The sides are shareable, it’s enough for 3-4 people. Bread is not offered, you will have to order it from the menu. (missed that) We didn’t notice that we didn’t have bread until after the entree was brought out. When we asked about bread the waiter explained that you will have to order bread. (that’s an additional cost) The food and the wait staff was 5+!!! I would highly recommend the short ribs, it was so tender you could cut it with your fork. The pasta that comes with the short ribs was phenomenal! Pasta with two different types of mushrooms was so tasty. Brussel sprouts can be tricky in restaurants but these were excellent, not over or under cooked and very flavorful and slightly sweet. Yumm I would definitely return!

Excellent, But Ridiculously Expensive

By red69hoss |

With my adult son and daughter, we wanted to have an upscale steak dinner. Bugsy was highly rated and convenient, so we checked it out. Very nice, albeit modern style decor. Excellent service from Eric. Steaks were good, not great. The Brussel sprouts, mushrooms, bourbon peppercorn sauce, and whipped potatoes were excellent. Drinks were certainly very good. But everything was crazy expensive and not a good value.

Enjoyable Evening at the Steakhouse

By KathyTX |

Granted the prices are expensive but so is the steak. We split a filet mignon and baked potato and asparagus. Granted I am not a big meat eater. I had a blue moon beer and my husband had bourbon with a splash of water. Our bill came to $145 with the tip. Sides are too massive we only ate a third of the asparagus. Sides are $17 each. So there a big salads big potatoes etc. Plan on $10-14 for a beer and much more for a mixed drink. They don't hurry you so you can really enjoy the atmosphere and the meal. Make sure you have a reservation otherwise you won't be able to eat there.

Excellent Food and Service

By Marplon |

We recently ate dinner at this restaurant and were very pleased with the quality of the food and especially the service. We started with the crabcake and then had the bone-in New York strip with a side of potato au gratin. The steak is top prime and dry-aged. Very tender. The potatoes were delicious. Service was outstanding and I'm sorry I don't remember his name but he was very congenial and had a great sense of humor. The prices are on the high side but this is typical for a high-end steak house. My wife and I felt like we got our money's worth.

Loved it

By j1629 |

Eric was an amazing server. Made an excellent old fashion and was attentive throughout the entire experience. The food was outstanding. We will definitely be back.

Disappointing

By Brix |

We were so looking forward to going to this steakhouse. The description and the name made us think it would be an atmospheric old Vegas style vibe. NOT! There is nothing in the decor to even remotely remind one of Bugsy or Meyer. Extremely sterile. It was so cold in the bar and the dining room, even the bartender and the hostess were complaining. The hostess was kind enough to find us a table that was at least not freezing. Our table was just off the bar area and right next to the walkway for the casino. There was no wall for the restaurant! So you're sitting in a very expensive restaurant while the tourists in their t-shirts and shorts go streaming by. The steak was mediocre. The potatoes were very good. Just a totally underwhelming experience. They have a really good idea for a theme and just have not taken advantage of it. LOTS more good steakhouses in Vegas.

High end birthday dinner at the Flamingo

By WyoBobert |

Outstanding high end restaurant in the Flamingo Hotel. Steaks and sides were excellent, drinks were perfect. We sat at the bar and service was phenomenal. Great atmosphere, great food, highly recommend. Be advised that it’s NOT CHEAP. Dinner for two with drinks was $300 but worth every penny.

Our bartender, Tommy was amazing! Management sucked.

By Stephanie M |

Our bartender, Tommy was amazing! The management and their policies…not so much…Our group kept coming to the bar all week for Tommy. He was a great bartender with great service. He remembered our drink orders and always had great recommendations for something new to try. Management didn’t allow more than 4 people at the bar if he was the only bartender. He wasn’t bothered with having more than 4. (We were informed by management that it was a union rule). They would rather turn away business for a union rule. It was ridiculous.

What a Steak House!!!

By Lauri L |

From the minute we stepped into this restaurant the staff were on their game. The food was amazing our steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, we had two sides the Broccolini and the Potato Gratin they were delish and an perfect addition to our fabulous dinner, trust me when I say, you need to go to this place......I will be back!

Below Average

By MackTyson559 |

Wife and I visited for her birthday, we both ordered steaks medium well, both came out charred. We weren't pleased and didn't eat them. We asked to speak to a manger and waited 15 minutes for one, nobody came to our table. I paid for the rest of the meal minus the steaks and left. Won't return. Also service was very slow, it was about 70 minutes from time we sat down to time food arrived.

Great food and service !

By BergensMom |

This steakhouse is great - the food and service are on par with any big name steakhouse, but even more friendly and less intimidating. Our server, Mario, was fabulous - explained menu items, decanted our wine, recommended cocktails - he really elevated the experience. I had the filet Oscar style and it was delicious; fresh made Hollandaise sauce and a good portion of crab. My husband had the short rib and it was melt in-your-mouth delicious. While the entrees were great, the order that knocked our socks off was the brussel sprouts - bacon with a balsamic glaze. I mean. Jeez louise. It was SOOOOO savory and we loved every bite. The only downfall about this place is that it's in the Flamingo which definitely isn't as nice as the restaurant. Also, there really isn't a dress code, which is a bummer. There were a number of patrons who dressed for the occasion, but there were people in shorts, hoodies, t-shirts, and etc. So, if you want the restaurant to FEEL fancy to match the food and wine you are enjoying...this probably isn't the place. I will say that it was my husband's birthday, which I made a note of in the reservation, and they brought out a creme brulee, which we were only charged a small fee which was a lovely surprise. Also, Mario recommended an AMAZING coffee cocktail that was a perfect nightcap. Would I go again? Yes. Should you request Mario as your server? Absolutely! Should you order the brussel sprouts? If you don't, you are a FOOL!! :)

Pricey but incredible food and service

By A Joe I |

Nice atmosphere and great service. Entrance- you enter thru the bakery and if you want the speak easy, you have to be escorted. Pricing - Easily $80 per person; the regular menu items are not worth the money, however, the specialty items like the Seafood Towers and the Tomahawk steak are well worth the $100. Drinks - spot on mixing. With a large assortment of specialty drinks. Appetizer- we did the Clams...you could drink the sauce it was so good. Food - my scallops were cooked to perfection. The wife’s Filet melted. All a la cart. We order the Dirty fires. They were soggy and spicy hot (not mentioned on the menu) Service - from hostess, to managers, busers, and servers...all spot on. Kevin is worth asking for. COVID safety- everything 6 ft, masks on everyone, sterilized everything. Speakeasy- when you are done the server, if you want, we escort you to the speakeasy for a nice private drink.

Not Like Before

By haakonh319 |

I had been to Bugsy & Meyers the year before and it was a pretty good experience. This visit however was not as good. One of the funniest parts of this visit is that you enter the restaurant through a BAKERY, yet when you ask for bread I was told they no longer offer bread service! Really? A nice steakhouse that does not offer bread to go with your salad or steak? I'm pretty sure that Bugsy & Malone being good Italian's would be rolling over in their graves. Also a great place to blow $30 on a mediocre cocktail...

Extremely Overpriced

By skeetman33 |

My wife and I had dinner here during our recent Vegas visit. We found the prices to be ridiculous for the service and quality. I started with lobster bisque, at $19:00 I expected to have at least a few small pieces of lobster but there was none. My wife choose a Caesar salad. It was fine. We both ordered filets medium rare and they were both overcooked. The whipped potato and Mac and cheese were fine. One glass of wine, two filets one Mac and cheese and one whipped potato = almost $300 with a tip. And we enjoyed the table next to us texting and face timing the whole time in their Pajama Bottoms and slippers. Great ambiance.

Amazing - well worth a visit

By Anwen A |

This is an absolute amazing meal!! Yes it’s not cheap but the steak was to die for! The Brussels sprouts were out of this world! One of the best meals we had whilst in Vegas

Worst experience at a restaurant

By je6182 |

We had reservations at 7pm for a party of 8 for my sister's 60th birthday (Girl's trip to LV). We did not get seated until 7:20pm. Waiter did not come over or acknowledge us for another 20 minutes! Alcoholic drinks took almost 25 minutes to arrive & we sent one back because it was awful. Steaks were flavorful but they should be for $70.95 for an 8oz filet. Nothing else served with the steak. All sides are extra $$. King crab legs were salty. Service was less than stellar. HUGE disappointment for a special birthday dinner. Overpriced and poor service. We will not be back. My other sister made the reservation here. I would have picked The Capital Grille and will insist on that next time. So slow we did not leave until almost 10pm.

Bugsy would approve

By MsECostello |

They take you thru a little market shop as if you are going into a secret room which was a cute idea however you can see in the restaurant from the flamingo hallways. It’s bright, clean, and almost a Casablanca kind of feel to it. The staff was fast and prompt. They have several folks wait on you as far as bringing your bread, water, and main meal. We wanted on good steak night and that is just what we got. Though medium may be a bit bloody for some so you may want to ask for medium well if so. Overall, we were happy. Not sure if we would return however definitely recommend going at least once.

a good meal

By pchnmain |

I was a guest at The Flamingo Hotel & Casino. I wanted a higher-end steak dinner, but I didn't want to leave the property. So, it made sense to try "Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse". Maybe it was midweek, or perhaps it was late; but the restaurant wasn't too busy. As such, I didn't have or need a reservation for this visit. The menu at this restaurant is à la carte. I ordered: a Caesar salad ($18.95); a 10oz filet mignon ($70.95); a baked potato ($16.95); and a Bulleit Old Fashioned ($21.95). With tax ($10.79), my ticket was $139.59 before gratuity. Some restaurants serve a Caesar salad which taste "plain". Not in this case. This salad had a distinct Caesar salad taste. I think the salad shifted on the plate while travelling from the kitchen to the table, but it was photogenic otherwise. The steak was served per request--medium rare with a bit of char on the outside. Per the photo, the steak may appear dry on the outside; but the meat was well rested and juicy when cut. Some steakhouses serve massive baked potatoes. The potato present on this occasion was large but not massive. On the other hand, if a couple wanted to order two sides dishes, I believe that one potato would suffice. The service, while not extraordinary, was more than adequate. A meal at Bugsy & Meyer's is not inexpensive. However, when you consider general inflation which has taken place--the increase in beef prices in particular, and wage and overhead costs, the price for a meal here is not severely out of line with other steakhouses of this caliber.

A good and surprising new steakhouse

By David Z |

Las Vegas has been awaiting this new steak house in the Flamingo, taking over from the adequate, reasonably priced, but rather ordinary Center Cut. I guess it’s my lack of familiarity with the legend of Meyer Lansky—I always associated him win the NYC Mob, and I expected the atmosphere to be a dark wood hideaway—that caused me to be surprised with the place’s appearance. Actually, there is a lot of Florida, Cuba, & Bahamas in his story, and this “period piece” venue is actually more like an island porch, very airy and open, with pastel shades and lots of paintings of flamingos and tropical greenery on the walls. As for the food, it is infused with a lot of creativity, from the appetizers right thorough the desserts. This is a welcome attribute for steak house diners, who can come to believe that they’re all the same after dining in so many of them. And my steak, which I ordered “rare plus”, was notably flavorful. I ordered the Cadillac shellfish starter, then the 8 oz filet mignon with the Heater—a fun stuffed baked potato. I did not have dessert but I admired the selections for some time before in exercised some self discipline. I think you will like this place, if you are ready for an unconventional steak-house atmosphere and some high prices.

OMG Excellent and Awesome!!

By dino2mom |

This restaurant is new at Flamingo and it was well worth going to.....from the time you walk in you feel important. The hostess gives you a little tour and some history. The restaurant is new and beautiful...with different style seating areas...we were on what they called the patio. The service from the warm damp towels to desert was fantastic. The food was amazing and "yes" it is a nice steak house and the prices are higher than your normal restaurant but well worth it. We had steak, salad, two sides and desert and everything we had exceeded our expectations. All so yummy. Next time in Vegas we will not miss going here. We did not have any alcoholic drinks but they had some cocktails that sounded really interesting, maybe next time. I would suggest making a reservations and I predict this restaurant is going to be very popular.

Bugsy & Meyer’s Speakeasy So Good!

By TerrasTravels |

Amazing steak! So worth the price! Great coconut shrimp and drinks/wine as well! The bread is so nice it’s topped with cheese and very easy to break in three parts! I hate when bread won’t come apart! Couldn’t make a reservation because they were full but we happened to be at the Flamingo, which is where the restaurant is located, double checked and they actually took us to the Speakeasy BEHIND the restaurant (same menu). Really amazing ambiance (check out the photos😉). Even better than the restaurant! Highly recommend the speakeasy! So cool! Shawn and Laura were our bartenders/waiters and they were amazing!!

Confused

By DaisyDot24 |

Ok, I will start with saying how excited I was to try this restaurant. We booked it for a birthday dinner on a Monday night and it was surprisingly full. I’ll start with the entrance. I cannot figure out for the life of me why they went to the trouble of making a ‘fake’ entrance through a bakery when the restaurant itself is open to the casino floor. We walked by the restaurant on the way to the door and could see in, see what people were eating and then were supposed to be surprised when they walked us from the bakery entrance to the main restaurant. This is where the real confusion began, the restaurant is trying to compete price wise with all the other high end steakhouses in Vegas, but the service fell far short. The waitress was no where to be found. She seemed to be the only one responsible for getting drinks, food, clearing and ordering. As a result she would fly by in a rush. In between courses she would come wipe the table down with a wet rag which seemed more like an Outback Steakhouse than a high end place. We waited an exceptionally long time for drinks and appetizers and then the main courses came out before the appetizers finished. These are the small touches that make the price of these restaurants worth it. The food itself was really good, it’s a bummer that all the rest was such a detractor. The seafood tower was great, fresh and abundant. The steaks were delicious and I think the best bernaise sauce I ever had. Lobster Mac and cheese was also AMAZING! I hope they can work out some of these kinks for a better experience.

Expensive doesn't mean good.

By Joe H |

First off I have to say I am a foodie so I believe my expectations tend to be higher than most when it comes to good food - preparation - quality and service. I'm going to jump right in - the seafood tower - amazing. The $90 ribeye steak was one of the worst I have ever had. 3/4 of the steak was not edible - all fat. I told the server - and she told the GM... he arrived after we were done eating. Told me he was sorry and asked if he could offer us a complimentary glass of wine. I said that's not the issue. We don't need wine. He said he hoped to see us again and walked away. I just don't think a $90+ steak regardless of it having been aged is justified when over 75% of it was not edible. Furthermore, as a GM that came out to talk to us, the immediate thing to do is simply remove the charge from the bill. The ambiance was poor - we were seated in the back room. One server was handling the whole back room (5 tables), so the service was not great. This was definitely a place I would never go back to. The cost of restaurants are so expensive in Vegas. When you plan on spending a lot of money on a meal it has to be great ($400 for two - there are too many good options to choose from to be stuck with an overpriced place such as Bugsy & Meyers.

What's not to like about a $50 steak? Let me tell you.

By Steven L |

This is a high-end steakhouse that uses the names of the two mafia guys who "gave" us Las Vegas as we know it today. Bugsy Siegel and Meyer Lansky built the Flamingo, which is the location for this eatery. The place focuses on meat-heavy entrees, emphasizing steaks. The steaks cost $50 and up. My ribeye was delicious and was seasoned nicely. Cooked to my specification - medium rare. Side dishes are served family style. The asparagus was OK. The whipped potatoes were extremely creamy, and tasty. I think it was overpriced for what we got, but I wasn't paying to it was a nice dinner overall.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING-Save Your Money!

By lindalcurtin |

No ambiance-unfriendly waitress-average, but way over priced food-manager standing at bar with his computer instead of asking customers about their experience.

Ripoff

By David D |

The place is seriously overpriced. A SINGLE crab leg the size of your thumb will set you back $34. In thousands of restaurants all over the world I have never been taken so much for so little. The same goes for wine: a common rioja that you can most likely get for less than $12 in most retail places is charged $75. As Mark Twain said, that oversizes my hand. Before you know they will charge $50 for half a crab leg. A bent utensil is provided to handle that crab leg. Unless you are desperate you definitely will be better off elsewhere. The service is quite decent though.

Fantastic Vegas steak house

By Anton H |

Heard a lot of good about this restaurant and the quality of steak. Both were true, the service was exceptional, staff was attentive, and food came out quick. Had the Rib cap and it was fantastic served as ordered.

Excellent Meal

By Kel7278 |

We decided to try this last minute since learning we can no longer get bar seats at Hell's Kitchen without a week long wait! Anyways, I had looked at reviews on this place several times and it looked good so we gave it a shot! They quickly found a place for us in the Count Room at the bar! We LOVED it! It was quiet, intimate and relaxing! Service was excellent, so sorry we forgot the bartender's name. We got the NY steak, short ribs, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. All of it was great, short ribs a little fatty, and nothing special about the asparagus, especially for the price. That's the reason for the 4 stars. However, shout out for everyone getting a piece of bread! You don't find that too much lately and I think that's important as these fancy steak restaurants! We will be back when we are in Vegas and ask for the same room!

Meh on the environment

By Betsy S |

Excellent steak, perhaps one of the best I've ever had. We shared a 16 oz ribeye, it was sheer perfection. Would have loved some creamed spinach, but not on the menu. The salad was great. I think if you're paying $100+ per person, some bread could be "free". Our waitstaff was top notch. Overall, one of the most pleasant dinners we enjoyed in Las Vegas. I'd go again.

I absolutely love this place! Great atmosphere, great food and great service.

By Rob |

I visit here often when in Vegas. I love the steak, but recently have been getting the tomahawk pork chops and seasonal salad with wine. Delicious. Afterwards, make sure you hop over to the speakeasy for an old fashioned. All this makes for a wonderful evening. I also love that they earn/redeem Caesar’s rewards points.

Poor Ambience, Rules for Getting a Napkin/Bread

By Peggy A |

Four for dinner, based on the description on the website we were excited to try this steakhouse. It was nothing like described. Nothing was done to update or make over this place and it certainly was not old school Vegas. It was like eating in a cafeteria. First of all we ordered drinks and when I asked for a napkin was told you don't get a napkin/silverware until you order your meal, so don't plan on wiping your mouth any time soon (who does this??) Then we ordered appetizers and asked for bread, we were then told you cannot have bread until you order your main meal, wow! Dinner for four was about $600, the sad part about the whole thing is that the food and service were outstanding but there are way to many choices in town to ever recommend or consider going back. The hotel should perhaps remove fine dining and consider something else for this location.

Hidden gem! We were walking

By Ladybree88 |

Hidden gem! We were walking around the Flamingo casino and stumbled upon this “bakery”. We were inquiring about the bread when we found out it was a steakhouse. OMG… this place was absolutely amazing! Each course comes with its own set up with fresh silverware. Salads were on chilled plates. Our entrée was cooked to perfection. Our server was extremely attentive. Extremely recommended! One of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Fab New Addition To Flamingo, The Strip, and Las Vegas!

By ToniMarie |

Unparalleled food, cocktails and SERVICE. Look out for my rock star server, Mikki, who may be headlining in the future as a psychic. She helped me choose a cocktail and dessert combo that was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Definitely not something I'd choose for myself but somehow nailed my love of berries, mint, and citrus without meeting me before. (There was gin... And she prefaced by saying to trust... Even though neither of us was a gin person... And I was just happy enough with my table win to trust) Mikki was not wrong. The combo of my contemporary cocktail (the Bramble On) and my Meyer Lemon (who can resist a play on words?) was inspired. There are vintage, "prohibition" and modern cocktails on the menu and I can't wait to taste my way through the offerings. Next time if I finish gambling before dinner I'll be sure to have that dry aged ribeye. I also hope to be back when we're in a more relaxed "phase" and I can check out the "Count Room" speakeasy/lounge.

Not impressed!

By ronald s |

We have eaten at many a fine steakhouse, and though the steak was good, the asparagus ($21) was not warm nor did it include serving tongs or equivalent. When we asked, a waiter came by with a fork and a spoon and offered to put it on our plates. Seriously? No bread plates--guess we were just supposed to hold it in our hands until we finished it! These people need to up their game, especially considering their pricing! We expect to pay $60 for a good steak, but the least expensive glass of Chardonnay was $20 and tasted like grapefruit juice! Really lacking in class for a steakhouse touted as first class. Back to culinary school!

Good..

By Explore795608 |

It was a pleasure dining with them, but word of caution, their steaks are very rare. Ordered medium rare, and it was so rare. Had to send it back.

Need to step up their game

By Passport624956 |

In a world of high end foodie restaurants in Vegas, this restaurant didn’t fit the bill. The atmosphere was not that of a five-star restaurant. We felt like we were more In a cafeteria setting then a five-star restaurant. The food was decent, but for the price, there are much better options in Vegas. If the flamingo wants to bill this restaurant as a five-star steakhouse, they’re going to need to step up the overall experience.

Slightly Disappointed

By Mindy1133 |

We chose Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse for our dinner on our wedding night. It was just my new husband and myself in our wedding attire. We were immediately greeted by the hostess with well wishes and congratulations, which was sweet. We were seated in a room with four other tables - a room that offered no ambiance no mood lighting - very blah. You see that we are here for a our wedding dinner - how about a booth??? The manager came over to our table and congratulated us on our wedding, thanked us for choosing their restaurant for our special night and told us to let him know if he could do anything for us. It was nice, but didn't see him again for the rest of the night. Our server was nice - also offered us best wishes and took our drink order. We ordered our food. Food was good and well prepared. The server asked us if we were going to order dessert and we said no thank you. Our check was brought and we left. We weren't looking for freebies on our wedding night, but a complimentary glass of champagne or a dessert on the house goes a long way. You want to thank us for choosing your restaurant for such a special night, but you don't offer your guests something special to celebrate a special evening? It was just a little disappointing, especially for the money we spent on dinner. Just a word of advice - a glass of champagne (and maybe a different choice of table) could go a long way in you showing your customers that they are appreciated.

Bugsy's is the Best Steakhouse in Vegas!

By sugarbeach |

My husband really wanted to try this new steakhouse because of the pictures we saw on line of the brand new remodelling of the former Center Cut steakhouse at the Flamingo. I thought it could not be as good as my favourite steakhouse, Ruth's Chris at Harrahs, but I was so wonderfully surprised and impressed by the ambiance, the food and our terrific server. I believe his name was Raychon(hope i got that right). He was fantastic! They have done a beautful job of transforming the restaurant into a very elegant and swanky feeling retro restaurant with the decor, the palms and they have this incredible bar that they have put in at the back of the restaurant! Just beautiful! The food was just as incredible. My husband started with the Crabcake(which Raychon said was featured on Good Morning America) and he said it was the best crabcake he has ever had! No filler, all crab-it was to die for! I had the shrimp cocktail-it was delicious! We shared a dry aged Rib steak done perfectly-medium rare, and a serving of asparagus. Accompanied by a 2017 Cakebread Chardonnay. Wow! This meal was so very special, my husband says we are coming back every Vegas trip to the Bugsy and Meyer's restaurant at the Flamingo, Ask to sit in the main dining room-beautiful very large tan coloured leather booths-luxurious! Thank you to Raychon and the entire staff. We have found a new favourite restaurant in Las Vegas!!!

Solid Choice

Dropped in right as they were opening. I was seated in the outer area. Ordered the wet-aged ribeye and it was excellent. I would eat here again, but not before I try a few more Vegas steakhouses.

Elegant dinner at the Flamingo

By 4Martinez |

First, I love the old Las Vegas charm of walking in from the Linq Promenade. It oozes nostalgia marble touches throughout and beautiful flamingo artistry all around. Wanted to make sure to lock in our time slot so was going to reserve online on Open Table but had to put credit card on file and my laissez faire habits in Las Vegas thought it wasn't wise to do this so opted to try our luck and walk-in. Well, largely open and quickly seated in a cute pink booth overlooking the bar. Our server was impeccable and tended to us very well though-out our dinner. We ordered cocktails ( Caribbean Old Fashioned(on lighter side) and Touch of Tea(loved it) and dinner drinks (Tempranillo and Caymus Merlot-both winners). Caymus can be found at Costco(yay). We ordered an aged Ribeye(best cut of meat ever) and Seared scallops with baked prosciutto (so soft and tasty). We paired it with glazed brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Both were very tasty. We really enjoyed our meal and would have loved to try dessert but we were full and needed to leave for a show. A necessary stop if you are craving a great steak dinner. It is not inexpensive but a wonderful stop(($320/two people).

Bad experience

By Megan M |

Unacceptable experience for an upscale restaurant. We had a 9pm reservation that we planned to go to after a show. At 630, they called to let us know we could come early to which we explained we could not. When we arrived at 8:45, we had to search for someone to seat us after we were told they were closed. Once seated, we had only our water filled for 10-15 minutes before we had a waiter. Our waiter was fine but certainly made no mention of our wait. When we finally ordered drinks we were told they were out of what we wanted. Ordered a second drink and told we could no longer get draft beers. At this point we decided to leave as the expected service was not nearly up to par. Spoke to a manager and he basically shrug his shoulders and closed the door on us. Do not recommend.

Extremely Disappointed and Hungry

By Derek P |

A supplier took a large group of us out for dinner. I was really excited and looking forward to a good meal. They had a great looking menu that looked promising and expensive. Upon finding out that I was Gluten and Lactose Free, I was treated very poorly. They took the set menu from me and told me that they would just make me something - which is normally fine as most places try hard to make the meal enjoyable. They brought me out a salad and said it was "for the vegan". I clarified that I was NOT a vegan and loved meat. I was very clear about that. (The dressing was delicious). As my colleagues received their 18oz steaks and scallops, etc. they brought me out a plate of mushrooms with a few cut up asparagus - and said, here is your "roast chicken". I assure you that there was no chicken, not even bits of chicken. The asparagus was few and very 'meh' and I really dislike mushrooms - so.... Dessert was a handful of berries - which was fine and I understand if you aren't geared towards people with dietary needs, dessert is tricky. I didn't complain as my supplier was the one paying for the very expensive meal and I didn't want to be a bother. Needless to say, I left very hungry and disappointed. I went to Walgreens and bought some chips and salsa to fill the gap.

Very disappointing experience

By Margaret H |

We were there for a family special birthday. On arrival at the entrance we were ignored by the male reception person as we were female and he deferred to a male standing behind.us. Food was good. Server was aggressive as to a tip, saying a number of times as we settled the account is this all I am worth. Totally unacceptable and disgusting. Would not go there and do not recommend the restaurant. Lots of other options.

Had an appetiser

By bonecrackerstu |

Bugsy's is quite expensive. I sat at the bar an had an appetizer of Coconut shrimp. It was delicious. The service was excellent. The steaks are a bit pricey, so beware.

Try another steak house

By linda m |

I’m sorry I did not read the reviews. I give Bugsy Meyers one star. The waiter was ok, food was fair. We order the tomahawk steak for $155 waiter stated it would take 30-35 minutes. The steak came out in 15 minutes, chard on out side and raw in the middle. It was returned to finish cooking. The bread was ok not warm but $10. The cool mashed potatoes were ok. There are a lot of steak house restaurant in Vegas please try another not Bugsy.

Wonderful dinner

By Patti1965 |

The lobster bisque was excellent, both the steaks we ordered were prepared perfectly. We both finished our meal and cleaned our plates. Service was excellent, kind, courteous and timely

Great steak and lobster tails

By David M |

Three of us came here after drinking far too much tequila. The tomahawk was excellent although the waiter kept trying to tell us we needed more food. Perhaps he was just trying to increase the order and therefore his tip. Either way we had plenty of food and in the end I had no complaints about the service. The gigantic slab of chocolate cake had a giant chocolate cigar perched on top. Looked really effective but it was too much for us

They don't care...

By Marty O |

Well, to be honest, I didn't end up eating there. Based on the inconsistent reviews the location has gotten I was a bit hesitant but I thought I'd give them a chance to prove the negative reviews wrong. I had a 7:00p reservation and showed up on time along with a gaggle of individuals at the checkin room. I was told to wait outside and I would be called when my table was ready. Fair enough. After 10 minutes went by, I started chatting with the couple that checked in right before me. Turns out they had 7:15p reservations but checked in early. Right around 7:15 their name got called. I, with my 7:00p reservation was still waiting. Finally at 7:20 my name was called. When I got up to the hostess station, I asked how was it that a table with a 7:15 reservation got seated before my 7:00p reservation. She said it was because they checked in first. I said that that defied logic as the 7:00 reservation should have been honored first. Then she tired to say that the table wasn't ready anyway. And I further asked how a table for 1 or a table for 2 differed to which she had no answer and absolutely no apology. At that point I realized that I didn't want to spend the dollars I was going to for a nice dinner there. Turns out the reviews that talked about total disregard for their customers was right. So my advice is go there at your own risk. I won't ever be going back.

A dining experience, 2.5 hours worth

By incorrigibleangel |

It was a dining experience, it took us 2.5 hours to complete our meal, there were 4 of us. For some that is great, we would have preferred 1-1.5 hours. The food was great, I believe it was bit over priced, but what isn't in Las Vegas? It is competitively priced for a high end steakhouse. The waitress was very pleasant and overall the meal was very good. I had a petite filet with their peppercorn sauce, my brother had the truffle butter and that was too rich for my taste. We had some cheesy potatoes and brussels sprouts for the table to share, in the future I wouldn't order the brussels sprouts again. Two of us added a seared scallop to their entrée that was well worth it and I had a crab cake that was very tasty. We were lucky enough to be seated in the back area that was set up as a speak easy and I enjoyed the ambiance, we did ask to have the music turned down but we very easily had conversation. I don't think we'd go back, but we are glad that we went, we'd probably try a different place on our next visit just to keep it fresh and because there are so many different Steakhouses to try.

The standing is not worth the price of the dishes 🙃

By Fred_GourmetAventurier |

We are mixed on the opinion to give. 👍🏻The food is good, you can't say otherwise. These are quality products, cooked perfectly and above all it is so far from all the junk food you find in Vegas. Phew! On this premise the price ($60 including tax per dish) could be justified… 👎🏽Where we start to become disillusioned is with the service which is clearly not up to the standard that this restaurant wants to give itself. 👀This is also the layout of the restaurant: there are 2 rooms, one which overlooks the passage leading to the Flamigo slot machines and another further back. Clearly at $60 per dish, who wants to eat under the noses of passers-by?! 🤦🏽‍♂️Too bad for this restaurant whose entrance imitates a French bakery: there was no bread the evening we went for dinner. They were broken...

Amazing dinner

By TiaG |

My husband and I have been to Vegas many times but this was our first time eating here. We only knew about it because we were staying at the Flamingo. On a whim we decided to try Bugsy’s and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Only downside is we had our kids with us and it’s not very kid friendly, but we made it work. This is definitely going to be one of our go to restaurants next time we go to Vegas. I recommend the seafood tower! Expensive but worth it!

Thumbs down to Bugsy & Meyer Steakhouse

By Robyn E |

This was the most disappointing meal we’ve had in Vegas. Firstly the steak was hyped to be dry/wet aged etc - this was absolutely tough - and raw in the center. (We had ordered medium) It was taken away and brought back even tougher… Chopped salad was a large bowl of lettuce with little topping on it. Asparagus was the only dish worth eating. Martinis were good but no martini is worth $25 - talk about gouging. If Jonathan Adler designed the interior, he should be ashamed Zero atmosphere- cheap Vegas buffet vibes.

First Visit but definitely not the last

By wwilkinson2018 |

We did hot have a reservation but showed up at 5 and did not have to wait very long for a table. Waiter came over right away and explained why the entrance was unusual. We both had the onion soup which was delicious. Then we split a 10 oz filet which was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were swimming in butter and were a perfect compliment to the steak. Prices a little on the high side but service was great and our meal was outstanding. Highly recommend this steakhouse.

Christmas Eve Dinner

By RahsBear |

I read a few negative reviews for this place, so I was skeptical going there. First, the social distancing was spot on. The food was wonderful. The service was spectacular. Our wait person, Eric, not only had perfect recommendations, he paired my filet mignon with the perfect Pinot. But, with 30 year restaurant he’s also a master mixologist. If he suggests his own invention, the best old fashion ever, a even as great, the same old fashion, but smoke infused. If you don’t get Eric, just ask for Erich’s old fashion.. the bartenders know. The Cadillac is a great seafood appetizer. The potatoes gratin and the seasonal mushrooms sides are great, and since sides are al la carte, enough for two. Warning.. the seafood tower appetizer will easily serve four people. Granted, prices run high, but if you’re looking for a special event dinner you can not go wrong with Bugsy & Myers.

Steak House

By SF |

5* experience. While you are in Las Vegas it is advisable to visit this place - Great steak house and excellent services.

It is pricey but delicious

By MrPKI |

It has a great décor inside and outside, but it get a little noisy and distracting in the large and partying crowd in the Flamingo walking by. The staff are very dedicated and committed to providing an amazing meat/steak/chop experience. We found the flavors amazing. The drink menu is a little pricey and we found the prohibition cocktail menu interesting, but it may not be the taste of many.

Raw Chicken

By Barbra W |

Manager Jamie was unpleasant to speak with … served RAW CHICKEN!!! Very disappointed! Tab was $200+ … they said they would refund full tab… we will see!!!!

Nice new steakhouse with a cool atmosphere

By TheTraveler3313 |

The overall dinner was good. My wife and I both ordered a dry-aged steak. The steak was cook to perfection, but I would have recommended more seasoning. The best part of the meal was the Yukon Gold Purée. It was buttery and packed full of flavor. Unfortunately, the worst thing was the service. The waitress we had acted as if she did not want to serve us. She would stop by. With that being said me and my wife did notice two other waiters and their interactions with their customers and they were awesome. I wish we had one of them. I like the atmosphere but I wish the service we received was better.

Stay away if your looking for classy or are expecting a flavorful steak.

By Chris R |

I would recommend AVOIDING this restaurant. The restaurant is obviously going for upscale elegance but unfortunately they don’t enforce dress code so there were many VERY casually dressed folks. Lots of jerseys, T-shirt/jeans, etc. made it difficult to understand the high end prices on the menu. Food was not great. Sides were okay. We got the crab cake starter. Looked beautiful but had almost no flavor. We ordered steaks (it’s a steakhouse). My wife ordered a wet aged steak and I ordered a dry aged steak. Both over $70. This is where things went really south. Steaks were lacking in seasoning and looked as if they were previously frozen. I have a VERY hard time believing these were aged at all. We ordered medium rare and they were cooked to the proper temperature but were tough and bland. I’m not a bad cook by any means but I could have made a better steak at home with a simple 2 hour salt dry brine. Sides were the best thing we ate all night. We had the Brussels sprouts and truffle mashed potatoes. They were great so no complaints there. All told we paid over $300 for this meal. I feel like it should have been about $80 for what we received. If you’re looking for a nice fancy steak dinner on the strip, I would strongly recommend a different restaurant. You’d be better off going to Outback to Applebees. The head chef and proprietor should be ashamed of this quality.

Overpriced and not worth the money.

By Katja1976 |

Very overpriced. The steak was fine, the bearnsise lacked acidity, the aspargus was served with the tough ends still on them and the salmon was overcoked. The wine was good, but expensive. The waiter was good. We felt like we wasted a lot of money on that neal.

Great Food and Serice

By Suzanne M |

We have eaten here twice and it does not disappoint. Dinner is expensive but the food is great and service awesome.

Great Steakhouse

By Lori F |

Pahola was my server and she was excellent. She took my order immediately and frequently checked back to see if I needed anything. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly with my baked potato. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. I would definitely have dinner here again.

Overall Opinion

By Julie |

Seafood was tasteless, steak amazing, they have a dress code but dont insist on it, so I am sitting there is a beautiful gown next to someone in a swimming costume!!!

Great steakhouse

By Chelsea M |

Had an amazing experience here. We had a filet mignon and a Wagyu Rip cap steak. Both were perfectly cooked. The lobster mac and cheese was so incredible, I still think about it. We had great wine and great service. Would totally recommend.

Very good in all categories

By MichaelMc777 |

The interior decor is attractive and has original elements- walking through the bakery and then the kitchen, to enter into the restaurant seating. The bar area is beautiful and looks like it was from twenties : ) The service was very good and attentive. I tried a salad and the scallops. Both were very good!! The presentation was attractive. The ingredients were very fresh and the preparation had creativity. The scallops were perfectly cooked and a good option for a non steak entree. The entire experience was very good and I would recommend this restaurant.

Really good but pricey!

By Elmobristol |

Excellent food and service. Very pricey though and you might find a better priced steakhouse elsewhere. We had ribeyes and they were fantastic

Service was really good until...

By BigRobUTSA |

We had a reservation at B&M's, easy access from anywhere on the Flamingo Las Vegas property. We were welcomed, served water and some really cool rolls, then... - One person in party never got his caesar salad and was charged for it - We were told tab could only be split three ways (there were 12 of us) - Server got the bill wrong and it took a good hour to untangle the mess. Good overpriced Strip food, to be expected, but one night earlier we ate at an off-strip steak place that honestly was twice as good, and half the price for me and my wife. I'll come back with friends, but unfortunately, this is now off the list of things to try. it's been tried.

Dont ask for extra rolls!

By Rick |

Overpriced but expected. Filet Mignon was excellent. Didn't expect to pay 34.00 for a glass of house Cabernet or 9.99 for an additional roll to the 1 you got. Live and learn.

Disappointing

By Bill A |

Both my wife, and my filets were not cooked to our liking. The manager, Johnathan, did not even have the decency to come over to the table. Instead we watched him consult with the waitress. After a lengthy wait between when our plates were cleared, we received a complimentary dessert of raspberry crème brûlée that was not only burnt, but inedible. Very disappointing the manager didn’t have the courage to at the very least come over to the table, and suggest an offering of a dessert, instead of sending something to the table that may or may not have been able to be eaten….. due to allergies or the desire to maintain one’s teeth. One and done. Lots of better steakhouses in Vegas.

Not great

By BPD501 |

For the price I expected much better. The drinks were ridiculously expensive for what you got. My wife got the sea bass which was good. I got the short rib with pasta. That was disappointing. I left half of it. I do not recommend this place and we will not be returning.

Good but not great

By roverirish |

Restaurant came highly recommended and service was both professional and friendly. The appetizers were fantastic and steaks were good as was the fish.

Great food, excellent service

By John H. |

We regularly include this new restaurant on our Vegas trips. Violetta is our favorite server, but we have had great service from everyone. You enter through a “false front” Bakery, past the kitchen, then to your table. If you are lucky enough to have Jamie seat you, you will no doubt recognize how she fits the theme of the restaurant to the max. Everything about Bugsy and Meyer’s is classy, but not stuffy; fun with 5-Star service, while making the casual dinner feel comfortable. The serving floor manager is constantly patrolling keeping things humming along. She (Jamie M.) will stop by to ensure your visit is perfect. The food is excellent and the menu has several less common offerings. Great desserts, too

Book the table!

By Amy B |

AMAZING food! Just book the table! The steak is perfect the service fast. The desserts are so good. Can’t say a single bad thing about this place.

A perfect dinner

By Joel T |

What a great steakhouse. The ambiance was really nice, I liked how it’s almost a speakeasy theme when u enter through a bread shop. Our server was so amazing, he had a great sense of humor and good recommendations. We got s filet and a ribeye both medium rare and it was perfect. I’m a filet guy but the ribeye was so freaking good. Our steaks were so flavorful and the sides were amazing. Loved their Mac and cheese and augraton potatoes. Def will be back to try that tomahawk. Also we found the speakeasy bar inside the restaurant, one of the best old fashions I’ve had.

Good Steak

By Traveler76AZ |

We had a small group. Everyone had a steak. My ribeye was very good and cooked right. Everyone enjoyed their steaks. I also had the French onion soup which was good. We also had coconut shrimp, mushrooms, broccoli and au gratin potatoes. Everything was good. I bit pricey - steaks are now $80.

Birthday Dinner

By Maura N |

We had a great experience here. We made a reservation for my birthday dinner on a Wednesday night! My husband and I both enjoyed our meals, I had the filet from the restaurant week menu which included a salad and a side and my husband had the bone in ribeye both of our steaks were cooked perfect and tasted amazing! I also received a free glass of champagne for my birthday!

Best part of the Flamingo!

By Kevin A |

Fantastically friendly staff serve great food in a plush atmosphere. Everything we tried was excellent. Coconut shrimp, filet mignon and the bread is wonderful, Nolet's martini was dry and dangerous, Don't miss it.

Great steakhouse with cool entrance

By carylynpeters |

The entrance to this restaurant is really cool . It looks like a real butchers shop - then you walk through the side door and you are in the actual restaurant. Our meal was pretty decent, although a little overpriced maybe considering its not like we were in the bellagio or the wynn.

75TH ANNIVERSARY FLAMINGO LAS VEGAS #3: PRIME BEEF STEAK

By Gerald R |

As I was staying at the Flamingo for five comped nights having dinner here for my final night, which was the first Thursday of August 2022, was fitting. I wasn't quite sure what kind of steak to order. Before my trip to Vegas I previewed the menu of this steakhouse. One thing I noticed was the word "Prime" for certain steaks. When I eat prime rib at home for the holidays the rib roast isn't necessarily prime in terms of quality of the beef. The steak I ordered here was the first time I had beef that was rated prime. I discovered how prime steak tastes during my dinner here. I also love steak that is bone-in as the bone adds flavor. For me that eliminated the two steaks: bone-in ribeye and rib cap. A bone-in New York steak wouldn't be my first choice, so I removed that steak from consideration. That left me with either a bone-in ribeye or tomahawk ribeye steak. The steak I decide depends on if I order any side dishes. Since I planned to order side dishes I choose the bone-in ribeye. The side dishes I ordered were the onion soup and seasoned mushrooms. I was planning to order sourdough bread, but my server stated one sourdough bread would be provided for free. For my cocktail drink I ordered The Brown Derby from the Prohibition Cocktails Menu as an homage paying to the 1940's I thought. The first dish was the sourdough break. Unlike most sourdough bread this one served at Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse had a soft crust. What I really care most about bread served at a restaurant is it hot or warm and the bread at this restaurant was warm. I have to admit I am a sucker for onion soup due to the cheesy top. Even though the onion soup at Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse wasn't as cheesy on the top as I've had at other eateries the soup was hearty not heavy. For me at a steakhouse I can't eat steak without mushrooms. These weren't the button mushrooms served at other steakhouses. These mushrooms at this steakhouse had varieties that provided different texture than most mushrooms at other steakhouses. I came here for the steak. As I've stated never had a prime steak before. What I found out was how rich it was. The steak I ate at this steakhouse was unique. If I'm going to spend money for an expensive steak, I don't want a steak that tastes like steaks I've had before. Fat adds flavor and the prime bone-in ribeye I had at Bugsy & Meyer's was no exception. Sometimes when the dishes you eat become too rich you need a beverage to cleanse your palette. The Brown Derby provided that slight acidity (similar to a cider) to balance my meal. I was stuffed. I did not order any dessert. I finished my dinner close to 9PM. Even though I stayed at the Flamingo for five nights I am glad I ate at Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse on my final night at Vegas. One aspect I like about this steakhouse is that the menu isn't overwhelming with items. Overall the steakhouse doesn't have chic atmosphere, but the decor represents a steakhouse that can be from the 1940s with a modern twist. Maybe if Bugsy Seigel had this steakhouse at the Flamingo when it first opened he probably wouldn't got shot in the eye. All kidding aside I can see myself come back to this steakhouse again. Next time I'll try the prime tomahawk ribeye or the wagyu braised short ribs. As this place is in Vegas I might as well have both.

Avoid

By BaconLondon |

With so many steak restaurants in Las Vegas this one is definitely near if not bottom of the list however the prices are near the top of the list. The steak was not the best quality and was very fatty. The sides didn’t have any flavour and were not cooked very well. The service is very hit and miss and it’s not the best looking restaurant it lacks atmosphere and could do with being upgraded. I will definitely not be going back, I saw other customers that were also not impressed. If you do want a nice steak in Las Vegas I would say any other steak house will be better.

An expensive mis “steak”

By Andrew0810 |

We had a challenge finding the restaurant with no signage and nobody in the Flamingo (which is even more tired with Covid) seemingly knew where it was. The restaurant has been open for a few months. The greeting was sterile and we promptly told to “get in line” which we did. We were seated and not served even bread for 45 min. The server was pleasant enough. We did choose a bottle of wine (marked up 3x). We chose the French onion soup and the salmon tartare for an appetizer. Good but not over the top. Ok the reason you go here is the dry aged steak. My steak was unevenly cooked (but I ate half of it anyway as it was a large portion) which is inexcusable. Cooked without care if you ask me. Part rare part medium well. We did have the fois gras which was a nice treat although overcooked. Dessert looked good (candied apple), I am not much into that but my husband enjoyed it. The atmosphere is lacking and not luxurious. Gone is the classic steakhouse feel of the old “1941”, the predecessor restaurant. Honestly if you have a choice, go to Morton’s or Golden Steer. Bugsy and Meyer’s is a typical, non descriptive, casino restaurant and at $500 for two you can do a lot better. Meh.

Anniversary dinner

By ConnieN |

Husband and I were just there for our anniversary. Food was delicious and our server Erin was top notch. Best Brussels sprouts ever!

Speakeasy style steakhouse that should have stayed hidden from the public.

By BBEatEats |

Talked into the Bugsy Meyer’s SteakHouse for dinner and WOW it was a TOTAL FAIL. From the outside the restaurant is intriguing with its speakeasy style entrance but instead of being taken into a vintage style steakhouse I was transported into an old Florida dinner where the Golden Girls were the designers. The food ... THE FOOD... OYe... it made the ambiance the least of my problems... the chopped salad was a row of sprinkled spring mix with some carrots that filled half the plate and for $17.95 I thought someone already ate half of my salad... HOW is that a chopped salad? Asking for another bread will set you back $8.00 extra ... NO not because the bread was good because it’s not... but because I was trying to fill up on something since I had to send the salad back. When it was time for my medium rare salmon to show up... it made the chopped salad the least of my problems... the salmon was so overdone that I thought I ordered salmon jerky. I couldn’t even pretend to eat it. Needless to say that this was one joint that should have stayed hidden. AVOID

Mediocre

By Carol E |

We were really excited to try this steakhouse. Unfortunately it was just ok. First, although we spent $200 for dinner for two, there was only one complimentary roll since we shared an entree. That is not good customer service. The onion soup was good not great and not hot enough. The filet was also was just ok. The wine we initially ordered was not available. Also, we could not get the Brussel Sprouts our way since they are pre made. Much better options out there for steakhouses.

$5 for A-1 steak sauce ........

By ACJohnny2027 |

You enter through the “secret back door entrance. Very kitschy. They only allow one party in the check in area at a time. Understandable for health and safety reasons. Food was decent. Temperatures on steaks tended to be a little under cooked. 3 people with a soup/salad, main, and 1 shared garlic mashed for the table, and 3 sodas came to $235 plus tip and tax. I asked for A-1 sauce and the waitress brought it in a little metal cup. When we got the bill we were charged $5 for it. When I asked about it she stated that all the special sauces are an up charge. I joked that I could have bought a whole bottle of A-1 for $5 and that I’ve never been charged in any other restaurant for it but she just shrugged and walked away.

Impeccable service and ambience!

By MasterP007 |

Impeccable service and ambience at Flamingo’s new place to go for great steaks and other fine fare. We used to go to Center Cut, but Bugsy and Meyer’s has replaced it in a big way. We highly recommend and we shall be back.

Mediocre Steak

By Justin G |

I was recently in Las Vegas on a family trip and I wanted to treat my family to a good steak dinner. This was not the quality I expected. The steakhouse was very appealing to the eye, quiet, with low tempo music and an old fashioned atmosphere that allowed for a comfortable dining experience. The service was good, meal pre-sets were done right and table was cleared between service. Now, the appetizers were good, I had a shrimp cocktail and I was impressed with the quality of the shrimp, it was very good and fresh. The side dishes were also very good, the potato purée was rich and creamy with a perfect texture and flavour, the asparagus was properly seasoned and had a good crunch to it. The steak however, was quite mediocre at best. The quality of meat was very poor and lacked flavour altogether. A $90 Filet Mignon cooked medium rare should have nothing but flavour. I was greatly disappointed by this and really regret this dining decision. I will not be returning to this location and definitely do not recommend wasting your money here.

Anniversary Dinner

By cassiemstover |

My husband & I enjoyed our anniversary dinner here recently and used our Diamond Celebration Dinner. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the wine was fine and they even surprised us with an anniversary dessert! They did a fantastic job of social distancing I noticed while walking to our table, and we were seated privately for a nice conversation. The service was nice and it had a really neat atmosphere. I love the speakeasy themed lobby!

Steak dinner

Good steak dinner bit $$$$$ Drinks good. Get eib eye. Not filet. Much better. Side were good. Garlic Brussel sprouts. Server fun

Exceptional steak and service

By K.R. Dufour |

We ate here on New Year’s Eve and they were offering a 3 course meal for $99. We chose to take advantage of it and each had the Caesar salad, filet mignonettes Oscar style and dessert with the recommended wine pairing. The atmosphere is nice but not spectacular, our servers were attentive and polite. The Cesar salad was very good with house made croutons and the dressing was amazing. The steak was phenomenal and came as requested. I forgot to take picture before we started eating but the presentation was wonderful! The wine pairing was excellent and very enjoyable. The dessert presentation was impressive but ended at that. It tasted as if mass produced and although it was good it was not amazing. It was served with a spoon and the bottom crust was difficult to cut through so it was awkward.

Service not as expected at Bugsy Meyers

By Julie L |

After reading the reviews we thought this was the place to eat on our last night at Vagas... service was not what we expected... The soup was served quickly, in fact before our drinks but the side of bread followed a good few minutes later. The main meal was brought out before our soup plates were taken. In my opinion all in all, a bit hap dash and uncoordinated. When the drinks arrived, I found a bottle top Cork in my Tito Vodka and coke. Our waitress was very apologetic all the way through and the manager also came to see us to apologise for the drink incident. Luckily the food tasted superb but due to this hap dash experience we would not return.

An excellent dining experience

By Sparky A. |

We enjoyed the restaurant very much. The service was attentive and professional. The steaks were delicious. Especially successful, if you like a starter, was the chopped salad - light and unusual. We tried the dessert “Single Barrel,” which was killer. Our waiter Kevin was great - a good member of the team.

My new favorite steakhouse in Vegas!

I go to Vegas often and usually try to treat myself to one nice steak dinner each trip. This time I tried Bugsy & Meyer's which I learned has not even been open that long. This is my new favorite steakhouse in Vegas! I ordered the 10oz filet cooked medium rare. I have never eaten more than 5-6 ounces of a steak in one sitting. Ever. But this steak had such good flavor and was cooked to perfection. I ate the whole thing and was a little sad when it was gone! I don't use sauces, I eat the steak as prepared. And this steak needed no sauce or garnishments of any kind. It was fantastic! I also ordered a side of asparagus and the lobster mac and cheese. The mac had a generous portion of lobster in it which was pleasantly surprising. And that too had a great flavor. Asparagus is asparagus - it was cooked well and tasted good but there's not much else you can say about asparagus in general. This restaurant also had a great wine selection. I had a couple different styles of red and both were perfect with my meal. The bartenders were helpful in helping me decide on the right wine pairing as well. Overall, the service was great and attentive too! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good steak dinner!

No wait with reservation. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about old fashions and did not disappoint!. Steak and sides were as expected in a nice steakhouse.

The best steak I ever ate!

By rickhowe |

We were in Las Vegas for a convention, and the Flamingo was on the convention hotel list. I wrote a separate review of the Flamingo, but suffice it to say that Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse was the highlight of the trip (and the only good thing about The Flamingo). I had the Prime Rip Cap Steak, perfectly done and the most delicious steak I've ever tasted. And to start I had a "Bobby Burns" drink made with singe malt scotch, sweet vermouth benedictine and angostura bitters. I was looking forward to desert, but after leaving the desert menu, the waiter left us unattended for 20 minutes. After that wait, the moment had passed. So if you can tolerate unattentive waiters, try the Rip Cap Steak at Bugsy & Meyers.

Bugsy & Meyer Steakhouse should be as dead as their namesakes.

By Matthew O |

There are too many great steakhouses in Las Vegas to charge $200 per person for an average meal and add insult to injury with a $40 valet parking fee. The up-charges were ridiculous. $10 for half of a Hawaiian bread and butter. $14 for thin blue cheese topping on a steak, $34 for a single glass of Rombauer chardonnay, $50 wine corkage fee, bone-in rib eye for only $83. Shall I go on? What kind of a steakhouse does not have fresh baked bread or a baked potato? The Brussel sprouts side dish was excellent for only $16. I can check Bugsy and Meyer's Steakhouse off my Las Vegas Steakhouse checklist, but will never be back again. SW Steakhouse (Wynn), Herbs & Rye (off-Strip), Cleaver (off-strip) are superior steakhouses compared to Bugsy and Meyer's.

It was good … but should be a lot better for the price!

By Jessica G |

I was invited by friends for a treat because they are diamond status with ceasars…. I read the reviews …. It is a nice place and the service was great! My lobster bisque was good but I’ve had better. I also had the chicken breast . It was ok. I can cook a chicken better in my opinion. I had a sample of the filet and lobster tail. It was ok. I’ve had a lot better. For the price… it’s very expensive for what you get. But it’s Vegas! Everything in Vegas is hella expensive anymore so it’s expected. I really think the food could have been ALOT better for the price. If you pay that much it better be melted in your mouth orgasmic!!

Eat steak at Bugsy and Meyer's

By Cindy H |

Bugsy and Meyer's is a superb steak restaurant. We had the shrimp cocktail, shoshito peppers, mushrooms, a rare ribeye, a rare filet with a lobster tail, and a black and blue filet with a lobster tail. Our waiter, Eric, was an attentive and knowledgeable waiter.

One of the highlights of our trip!

By LHH06R |

It was my daughter's 21st Birthday and this was the BEST food we had on the trip! Our server, Brian, had exceptional service and the food was absolutley phenomenal! The food was absolutely exceptional. Can't beleive others had such a bad experience. We are going back very soon! And the appetizer was out of this world! Fun atmosphere, although it is related to the mob.

Nothing Special

By Connie |

We arrived at the flamingo and found our way to their dirty parking garage, and were charged $12 for this luxury. Without the help of any signage to guide us to the restaurant, we eventually found Bugsy and Meyer's. We enjoyed drinks at the bar, the atmosphere was adequate and the bartenders were friendly. After being seated at a table not socially distanced from other patrons, we waited for about 15 minutes before a waiter took our food order. I must say that the bread roll was great, but the quality of the $400 meal went down hill from there. The seafood tower was just average. Even though it's hard to screw up shellfish, they didn't even bring a mignonette for the oysters. We ordered the porterhouse for two along with twice-baked potato and lobster mac and cheese. The steak was not cut, which is customary for an entree meant for two. My dinner companion commented that it did not taste like prime meat. The kitchen needs to be schooled on what a twice baked potato is. This potato was clearly a baked potato cooked on the previous day -- gummy and dense, and then topped with melted cheese, it was like something my teenager would make in the microwave! The "lobster" mac and cheese was good in the way 2am drunk food is good, greasy carb goodness, something I'd expect in a drive-thru. This place won't last, too many good restaurants in Vegas to choose from.

Best Bar Dining

By Ashley W |

First time dining here and don’t think it will be our last. We were disappointed to not have a table and be seated at the bar, but the disappointment left quickly when the bartenders came over. I wish I could remember their names! One made me a specialty cocktail he came up with because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. It was so delish, I had 2! He made recommendations on the menu and helped us with our questions. The food was excellent and just the right portions. Another bartender closed us out and she was equally and great! Very genuine and personable. Excellent experience!

Excellent Surprise at Flamingo!

By cathy s |

Wow, I can't say enough great things about this place! The entrance looks like a bakery. Then you walk down a hall into a beautifully appointed restaurant. On the way to our table, we noticed seats at the bar and asked to sit there. So happy we did. Tommy the bartender and the rest of the bar staff were phenomenal! The roll and butter were so different and delicious. Then came the coconut shrimp with a very tasty slaw. I had short ribs and husband had NY strip...both excellent. We were celebrating my birthday so we ordered the Single Barrel dessert to split. OMG, IT WAS AMAZING! We would happily eat here again. Photo is of the coconut shrimp.

Great Steaks; Location is suspect

By TWM83 |

We had reservations for four and got in on time- but a reservation was a good thing to have as walk-ups were told 1.5 hours for a table. We were seated on the rail next to the walkway from the casino floor and pool to the hotel elevators. The walkway was very busy, loud and full of people milling around 2 feet from us during our meal. The server was polite, but knowledge of the menu and cocktail drinks was lacking. The 'assistant' waiters were very attentive to anything that was needed. The steak was very good and the puree potatoes were EXCELLENT. The total bill totaled a little over $500 for steaks, two drinks each, two sides and tip. Bugsy's steak house did not have the old school vibe we were hoping for. We were hoping for a different type of atmosphere inside the 'steakhouse', it honestly felt like our seats were in the food court. The meal was great and the wait staff will surely improve on menu knowledge.

Fabulous experience

By Jennifer M |

We enjoyed a fabulous evening at Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse on 6/25. Both the staff and service were superb. The food was delicious and the presentation was very appealing. We had the French onion soup, 8 oz filets and asparagus served with a warm parmesan roll - a traditional steakhouse meal. The filet truly cut like butter! And I can't say enough about our dessert, the single barrel, as it was one of the best and most unique desserts I've ever had. After dinner, we went to a show then came back for a nightcap at their Speakeasy bar. The drinks were hand crafted with care and the bartender was friendly and engaging. While this restaurant is located in the Flamingo, be assured that once you walk inside you are transported to another, more relaxing atmosphere.

The quality of the steak was suprisingly dissappointing

By Don D |

The quality of the steak was suprisingly dissappointing. We ordered both the wet and dry aged ribeyes. Both steaks were cooked to the perfect medium rare. However, the quality of the meat was very poor. The shimp in the cocktail was also poor quality (very chewy). Even the baked potato was bad. It appeared to have been reheated more than once. The lobster bisque was good.

I would like to thank Sheri

By Nocentelli |

I would like to thank Sheri Schreiber with Caesar’s Entertainment Group sales for her flawless arrangement of dinner at Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse in the Flamingo Hotel Casino, Las Vegas. The dinner set for our group following my daughter’s wedding ceremony in Flamingo Wedding Chapel May, 2021. We stepped into the restaurant and was escorted without delay to tables setup with required number of seating for my group along with attractive table setting and group menu prepared for each guest. It didn’t stop there because the staff was so attentive and prompt to each guest selection and request. To my surprise, surpassing the service the food was absolutely delicious. Not one item was a disappointment. Everything was superb. This restaurant atmosphere, staff and food is highly recommended.

A great meal!

By TravelGuy72 |

We really loved our meal at B&M! Great service. Steaks were great, a tad over-seasoned for my taste, but super tender and juicy and cooked just right. Desserts were great. It is a tad pricey, but we knew what to expect. A great meal that we talked about days after our trip.

This is a true gem right in the middle of the Flamingo

By Charlie P |

If you go here you must get into the speakeasy room. It is just awesome atmosphere. Erin was our server and she was just awesome! Ask for her and tell her Charlie and Ralph sent you. We had such a great time. They have make you own Old Fashioned's. That alone made it worth coming. But the food was just excellent and super wine choices. This restaurant is just wonderful. It is not the cheapest but then what is in Vegas? Go and have fun!

Great Steak house!!!

By tuffyfranz |

We did make a reservation in advance so had no problem getting in. The service and was great. Our waiter was AWESOME! All of the drinks and food were top notch! The prices were quality steak house prices but completely worth it. Highly recommend.

Highly Recommend! Wonderful Meal for Thanksgiving!!

By Jennifer B |

Wonderful Thanksgiving dinner! I was a bit skeptical because of some of the recent reviews, but we were delighted with our experience and meal. Everything was amazing.. from the bread board appetizer to the drinks and everything in between! Our group all ordered either the filet or the prime rib and all the steaks were perfectly prepared! Don’t snooze on the sides…. We loved the fries, potato gratin, baked potato and Brussel sprouts. Service was impeccable, even after mentioning they only had 4 servers because people had called out due to the holiday. Would absolutely recommend! A+++

Very disappointing. I don’t recommend.

By Angie |

Very disappointing. Waiter was flat, unfriendly and unwelcoming and he never smiled. Lobster bisque was great. Steak was burned on outside and bland. Lobster Mac n cheese was just ok-I’ve had better at cheaper restaurants. Not good first (and last) experience sadly. We were seated by ourselves in the outer seating area by a busy walkway🙄

Expensive Average Experience

By taylor7748 |

Way to expensive for what you get. Understaffed and I thought the gangster experience would be way better. Drinks crazy expensive.

Not a fan

By Fritz |

The food wants to be high end but the service doesn’t. For a $600 dinner I would expect much better service. It really was Outback type service. The food runner spilled my drink and rather than clean it just plunked a plate on it. The waitress served as wine steward, bus boy and waitress.

Wonderful experience

By Banker1019101 |

The staff and food were amazing. There is a "speak easy" located centrally, yet secluded. Attention to detail, and service was impeccable. This is a newer restaurant located inside of The Flamingo.

They steal your money.

By Amy Harrison |

We stayed at the Flamingo and booked Bugsy and Meyer for Sunday night before we went to see ‘O’ at the Bellagio. Unfortunately due to a friend in our group becoming unwell when we arrived we decided to cancel all our restaurant bookings and just take it as came with regards to what she could eat. Essentially we didn’t want to spend a fortune on steak she wasn’t going to eat. We cancelled with front of house staff over 48 hours before our reservation who said they would cancel the booking for us, but told us if we still wished to attend, because it’s relatively early, if we still wanted to go there should be tables free. We didn’t attend Bugsy and Meyer, and despite cancelling our booking they still withdrew $150 from my friends account. We have contacted them in relation to this but have had no response. Be wary if booking and thinking you’ve cancelled. Make sure you get it in writing or they will steal your money.

Recommend!

By Llkwb |

Service was great & the food was very good. The beet salad was wonderful, bacon appetizer definitely deserves a nod, but the real winner was the Mac and cheese!! Steaks cooked to perfection. The Wagu is overrated, the strip on the prefix menu was better. Quite enjoyable & worth the price.

Big disappointment

By Christefores |

We are frequent visitors to Bugsy and Meyers, but after the latest experience, we have decided to look for new places to eat in Vegas. The experience was disappointing, to say the least. We got there about 15 min before our booking time and were told to wait they would seat us closer to our time, although they were not busy at all. We waited, and the lady would remind us how long every time she walked past, 10 min, etc. Then when our time came, she ignored us and we had to wait another 5 min, which does not sound like much, but if they are so specific on seating times then they should show us the same courtesy. We found most of the servers and staff quite rude. We were seated, and when our waiter came to ask us for our drink preference, we told him we do not use alcohol, he did not offer any alternative options, we just got water, and then they forgot about us for over 30 min. They used to serve a very good bread upon arrival, and when we asked about it when we could get our waters attention, we were told that the bread is now $9.95 and not complimentary anymore. We did not mind paying , but we thought he might have told us way sooner. At that point, we ordered the bread, but it only arrived almost at the end of our meal. We thought that for an upscale restaurant, it was very strange to pay for bread. All other restaurants we have been to in Vegas offer a basket of complimentary bread. The food was substandard, not the same quality we were used to from them. We would not recommend going there anymore. It has changed substantially, and the vibe was not nice, and we were glad o go home.

Great Food

By David B |

Firstly the restaurant never got my reservation for 8.30,then the greeter put me in for 8.45 and forgot about me and i had to go and remind her. Apart from that the food was very good and tasteful. My server Brian was excellent and very attentive. It was a bit pricey though.

Disappointed

By Janet |

Went on Monday night. Service was ok nothing extraordinary. Steak was tough potatoes undercooked and bread lol $10 for a roll. Very expensive for what we had. Dessert was scrumptious!

Pushy servers

By Pathfinder829372 |

Went to Bugsy and Meyers and the waiter was rude and pushy. It was our second time and we were excited to share the seafood tower but the waiter made commements that we werent order entrees ans made comments about the drinks implying we didnt order enough. It was uncomfortable and very plainly about his tip and not about providing good service

Not recommended

By Scalwa |

We started by being seated 30 minutes after our 8:45 PM reservation, which happens so not a big deal. Eduardo greeted my partner and related specials without even looking at me. I admit I am 15 years older and less attractive, but I was not addressed until the dessert when he finally noticed that I was not pleased by being completely ignored. I ordered a dry aged ribeye that was cooked to the correct temperature but was tough and not great quality. My partners filet was much better. Dessert was very good. This was not up to the standard they advertise or price.

Pretty disappointing

By Catullus51 |

For a very high-priced steakhouse, Bugsy & Meyer's was quite disappointing. Steaks that were dry, served only with a single charred pepper. Side dishes that were so salty that, even though the portions were small, we were unable to finish. A server who would interrupt a table conversation mid-sentence and seemed most intent on simply getting through the service. All this would be more tolerable if the steaks weren't in the $60-100 range.

Don't do it. Bland, boring, and disappointing

By Jim R |

When the cappuccino at the end of the night is the highlight, we have a problem. And this place has a problem. 1. Service. It took 20 minutes for us to get anything beyond some water at the table. And no one seemed to care. No managers came by. The waiter was slow at best. Once the food and drinks started coming, we barely saw our waiter. At this price point, that just doesn't make sense 2. Decor. Boring. Period. Nothing interesting, dynamic or relevant to a restaurant devoted to gangsters. Bunch of wicker furniture and animal prints. Cheap and dull. 3. Drinks. The primary reason I wanted to go to this restaurant was for the creative old fashioned experience. While it's still on the menu, it is not at the restaurant. 4. Food. Subpar. The bread is just terrible. Who puts parmesan cheese on a brioche stale piece of bread and charges $10? The Caesar salad was okay... But it's chopped up and over dressed like it would be at Applebee's. This isn't high end at all. The steak - which was really expensive - was bland, especially for 60 day dry aged. I've had much better at much lower priced This place is not worth your money or time or even the calories.
