Horrible experience after a great Braves game!

By KJ |

We were so excited to try this steakhouse after our great time at the Braves game. My mother and father in law walked over a bit before the game ended in order to get us a table( 4 adults and 2 kids). They were seated and ordered drinks which they said took forever. My father in law ordered a cheese tray which never came. He asked about it and apparently the waiter never put it in. My family arrived and ordered drinks and once again it took forever. The kids ordered lemonade, they brought them water, and they finally received their lemonades after another request. My husband ordered raw oysters , they brought us two different orders/types of oysters which were not correct. We placed our order and preceded to wait over 40 minutes(which we didn’t mind). They finally started bringing our entrees. The manager “ Mr Carter” came over and told me the steak that I ordered (over 40 mins ago) had been sold out- he was telling me this as they brought everyone at my table their food and not in a “sorry” way. I understand things happen but shouldn’t I have been told this prior to the whole table receiving their food? I asked to get a substitute steak and he said no that is not how things work- I had to pay the extra price to get the other steaks because he didn’t have anything similar to the one I had ordered. He did not offer any other solutions and matter of factly stated this happens sometimes. I ended up eating a salad because everyone else was already eating. Mr Carter never came back to the table- he was not sorry at all and acted like it was no big deal. He also stated we were lucky to just get a table for our ”large party” ( 4 adults and 2 kids) , was that an excuse or justification ?? Not good customer service! Mind you the restaurant was half full during our entire visit- I guess others had the same experience as us in the past and chose not to return ? Needless to say we did not have a good experience here which we were very sad about because of our excitement about the restaurant.

Surpassed all expectations!

By GlobalExec |

On a spur-of-the-moment whim, we contacted this restaurant to accommodate a party of nine. They readily confirmed our reservation (perhaps an early precaution) and we headed out to experience their fare. They seated us in the 'Oyster Bar' area of this upscale restaurant and gave us the attention of VIP's. With my peers from all over the world (UK, Australia, Belgium, India, USA) we dined on OUTSTANDING cuisine and experienced INCREDIBLE customer service. The food was remarkable, the views of the ballpark (at night) added to the excitement of our dining experience. It's a 'must visit' culinary delight in the new Battery of Atlanta.

Good, but could be better

By TennesseeTraveler |

I'll start by saying the food here has good taste and delivery. The drinks were also well-made. However, the service here is extremely slow. We visited as a party of 4 on a non-game night. The restaurant was packed, but they haven't seemed to figure out how to handle a full house. We would go 15-20 minutes at a time without seeing our server and I waited nearly an hour for my steak to arrive. Perhaps they needed more servers, but something will need to change if they are going to thrive. Our sever, while not rude, seemed flustered and short. I think 3.5/5 is about right. Not sure if I would return for the price tag and level of service that comes with it...

Horrible experience

By marvinaddie |

I had been once before and decided to bring my husband and son for dinner tonight..ordered appetizers and they were good and came out timely. Cocktails were good. Entrees were ordered while we were eating appetizers..we had oysters, potatoe skins, barbecue shrimp and a Caesar salad..delicious..35 to 45 mins later we still had no entrees. Mkept looking for our server and still have never seen him again..flagged down a female manager and was told they were being plated.about 5 to 10 mins later they arrived..was told by a new server that she was now our server..it would have been nice to let us know so we would know who to look for..we were offered complimentary desserts because of the lateness of the entrees. .paid our check and on the way out the female manager asked if we had checked out or not??!!!! OMGG to insinuate that we were leaving and not paying!!! Of course we will not be returning.

This is a high end steak joint. The positives: Service is EXCELLENT! Friendly and efficient. Oysters, steaks, and side are very good. Location is right next to the ballpark in a hopping area (even weeknights). The not so great? It is VERYYYYYYY expensive. The wine list pricing is “Customer entertainment” worthy not for the faint of heart. My only other issue was a porkchop. I understand how hard it is to cook them but in a place like this, there is no way you need to gulp water with each bite because it is overcooked and dry. I only point it out because I have eaten them elsewhere with a different experience. It is a destination restaurant and well worth a visit

Great Food

By hstedman |

Small venue next to SunTrust Stadium in the Battery. Very friendly and possibly over-accommodating service. Excellent meat. Pan-seared sea food appetizer in curry sauce could have been an entree. Priced as any city steak house. Absolutely would return. IMO there are reviews written by disappointed folks who mistook this as a place for a burger before a game. If you don’t have the time to relax and enjoy, get a hot dog in the ballpark.

OMG

By bfchef |

I love Linton’s food but this is foodie heaven. I know it’s a steak joint but I went off of that plan tonight. The acorn ham is the best I’ve had in my life!! Salmon belly is insane and the shellfish tower was perfect. Overpriced but fantastic wine list. Communal room is really loud so be warned.

Nice Business Dinner

By sbowen O |

We had a fabulous experience here for a team dinner! I had a Caesar salad, 6 oz center cut fillet, and green beans. At the last minute we ordered the Mac and cheese. The atmosphere was very nice, service was fast, the staff was knowledgeable, and the food was amazing. The sides are served family style, so it was large portions that were easily shared. Others tried the wedge salad, Brussel sprouts, Prime rib, and scallops. Everyone said their selections were very good.

Good choice of wagyu

By David T |

Good choice of wagyu on the menu for reasonable prices. Dry age offerings were more limited. Service was good. I would fine there again but I wouldn’t make it the highlight dinner for the trip.

Great meal before Braves Game

By Scott D |

Was here on Sunday 4/28/2024 at 11 A.M., before a Braves game. Had the steak and eggs Benedict. Bartender, said I might not be able to get steak rare because it is flank. Fortunately she was wrong not in a bad way. She was just doing her due Diligence. Shout out to the kitchen for a great job. Presentation was spot on. Eggs and hollandaise were on point. Service was top notch. Would recommend this place before a game. I will be back.

Fabulous steaks!

By KLtravels121 |

This restaurant is a must try! It’s pricey & worth every dollar. The restaurant has a vibrant & noisy bar area with booths & tables which is where we ate. There is a separate dining room that is lovely & more quiet. But we opted for the more festive area. They had a nice selection of oysters from around the U.S. as well as a nice wine list. The steak selection from around the U.S. was the star of the show. We had a cowboy ribeye & a 10 ounce filet. Both were prepared at a perfect medium rare as well as perfect seasoning. These steaks were beyond perfection! We shared the guyree gratin, as well & it was the perfect accompaniment. We agreed that these were some of the best steaks that we’ve had. Make sure to visit here when you’re in the area!

Cancelled reservations for large party

By mlynnb |

Unfortunately I will not be able to comment on the food as they cancelled reservations we had made for a group of 14. Reservations were made on November 15th for December 13th. We were informed today (November 26th) they were rescinding our reservations because they decided to rent out the entire restaurant. I understand economics but C. Ellet's does NOT understand customer service. Our group is now left trying to find reservations, for a large party at Christmas time when everything is already booked. They will never see one penny from me.

Amazing location, great desserts!!

By Robbie R |

Went here after the braves game. It is the closest restaurant to the entrance and such a good spot for people watching. The food is delicious, service was impeccable, and the desserts were by far the star of the show!!!! I highly recommend coming here either for a drink and dessert after the game or whenever in the battery.

Odd service, decent food!

By Jhobackatl |

Well I was super excited to have dinner at this restaurant in the battery near Suntrust Park. The vibe of the area is awesome and this is one of the few restaurants I had not eaten at down there. How do I describe the experience but to say it was simply odd! We waited for a while for our server to get to the table. Then another gentleman (not our waiter) took our drink order. He brought back only two of the three drinks we ordered and then came back minutes later with the final drink. Then we waited for what seemed like forever to put our food order in. We would randomly have different waiters come by our table from them on out asking the same questions as other waiters would only to interrupt our conversation. Bottom line is the service was off there. The steaks we ordered were pretty good, no real complaints there. But the side dishes were less than desirable. Our mushrooms were over cooked and the other sides were simply average. It was not super pricey but I would not say it was worth the money we spent. I would expect this place to struggle until they fix their service.

Yummy

By Jacideanna |

We just walked in and sat at the bar, bartender was very nice, professional and served us Yummy cocktails. We both had steak, and it was nothing short of delicious. I’m talking melt in your mouth deliciousness!!!! It is a bit pricey, however totally worth it. Highly recommend and we will return.

Dinner at The Battery

By chanler |

Wonderful steak! We didn’t stay in the Battery area, but we did go have an early dinner here and then went to a Braves game after! The steak (either ribeye or sirloin) you can’t go wrong with, it was wonderful! I would recommend a reservation just to make sure you have a seat.

Will not return?

By I.Z.E. |

I did not like this place. It looks like a high end bar pretending to be a restaurant. I've been in bathrooms with better decor. We visited on a Saturday while the team was away. Only 1 table had patrons. The server did not write anything down and got it wrong. Also, we waited 40 minutes for appetizers and sandwiches with no apologies. No thanks..

BEWARE! 20% gratuity is already included in your subtotal

By lws384123 |

The 20% gratuity is already included in your bill. They have inserted an additional line which states "+TIP". You could be leaving a much larger tip than you expect!!

Great New Restaurant

By Dolphinheadkw |

Service was excellent. Very pricey. Great menu choices. If you don't like a lot of sauce, ask for it on the side. Sandwiches were slathered. Pace was a little too slow, mention it up front if you are under time constraints.

Absolutely not worth your time or money

By rbtvwestfall |

They have a rating of 80 B from the department of health, that should say something. I am not sure why we stayed and are there. Service was tremendously slow We tried this place a year ago or so and wanted this experience to be better, sadly it wasn't. Won't be back. Smash burger was served cool to lukewarm warm. Celery and carrots with pimento cheese dip were limp. Lacked tase. Kai a server/food runner was excellent - bright star in an otherwise disappointing experience.

Attention To Details Appreciated

By Connie K |

This was our first visit to C. Ellet’s, it was our wedding anniversary. Pricey, but it was totally worth it. We had THE BEST waiter!!! Our waiter, Turner, was perfect. He paid attention to little details that made us feel like he truly cared about every aspect of our time in the restaurant. I don’t normally order steaks because I feel like I can do it better at home, but gave it a try since that is their specialty. We had an appetizer of crab rangoons, and main course was a caesar salad, filet, fingerling potatoes and creamed spinach. Everything was prepared with fresh ingredients. Caesar salad was bright with a dressing that spot on. The temperature and quality of the filet was PERFECT, the creamed spinach was delicious (no frozen spinach here!), and portions were large. They brought us a complimentary slice of browned butter bourbon cake with ice cream for dessert and it was awesome! It was not overpowered by bourbon flavors (which is what I expected), moist and totally crave worthy. We had a great experience and will definitely return!

Good food amazing drinks

By Vacationmom |

The food is great if you check out the menu you can see that there is a lot of steak and oysters and all that is great, don't pass up the hushpuppies. I think what stands out more than anything is the bar, they have the most creative drinks and ability to just make up something special to fit your exact taste buds better than anywhere I have ever been, it can get pricey quick but totally worth it if you want to love what you are sipping on. This is also one place where you should leave room for dessert, nothing annoys me more than having a great meal and then not seeing anything on the dessert menu that sounds good. Not the case here, save a spot!

Absolutely wonderful experience!

By Matthew S |

Came to the Battery for a Brave's game, and C Ellet's steak. We got there early, and had a wonderful lunch of oysters, fried and raw. Wonderful remoulade, and a cocktail sauce you can eat with a spoon. Came back later and ordered the dry aged 34oz porterhouse, mac and cheese, and wedge salad. The salad was wonderful, mac and cheese was other worldly rich and delicious. Nothing can compare to our steak. Perfectly done, seasoned with salt, pepper, fresh garlic. Undoubtably, the best steak I've eaten, and I cook a pretty good one! To top it off, the service was outstanding!

Not worth it

By rbtvwestfall |

Service was very slow on a very slow early Friday evening Extremely slow Appetizers were good - oysters Steaks were way over cooked asked for MR received MW Took 40 minutes and still no replacement so we cancelled our dinner and left No baked potato on the menu Definitely not worth your time or money

Excellent food and Service

By Douglas K |

My wife and I had a wonderful meal. Steaks were cooked just right, many raw oyster selections available and ours was delicious. Drinks made right and promptly. Service was excellent! We were William's 1st table of the evening he did a outstanding job and took great care of us. Will differently return for another great experience.

Great steak, Great food and in a ballpark!

By rrlawgirl |

I was staying across the street for business and wanted a nice meal. Most of the restaurants in the battery are fast food/casual. I came across this steakhouse and sat at the bar. The service at the bar was excellent. The drink menu is great and the liquors are top shelf. I had raw oysters that were great and each type was explained to me very well. I was not familiar with a number of the cuts of steak. They weren’t your typical porterhouse/ny strip/filet. The manager came over and explained each cut to me and recommended the baseball cut. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly and was delicious. They have a nice selection of sides and my roasted squash was very good. The atmosphere is open and not very cozy but I wasn’t sure whether there was a back dining room or just the tables I saw from the bar. I highly recommend this steakhouse. It was a surprisingly wonderful meal to stumble upon.

Great Pre-Game Meal

By NYCFamily_of_five |

We ate at C Ellet's before a game. The meal was delicious. We had the fried oysters, the porterhouse with fois gras and finished with a slice of Key Lime pie. The service was very good. The meal was well timed. We had plenty of time to walk over to the game after finishing our meal.

Conveniently located about 60 mts walking distance of Omni hotel , nice steakhouse with a private dining area also

By Sanjeev307 |

Go on level 3 of the Omni hotel & walk to the restaurant which offers not only beef steak but also choice of other dishes as well There is a private dining area which can house approx 30 people with a bar Nice fine dining

Great new find

By Sue G |

We had dinner there in the spur of the moment Had Chad as our waiter and he was fantastic Great menu but mostly Beef as you would expect Wonderful appetizers Sommelier was very helpful and attentive Love the decor, not the typical male steakhouse look Very sleek and quiet dining room Would go back tomorrow

Dinner before the show!

By Penny G |

We had a wonderful dinner last night thanks to an amazing chef and our very attentive waiter Jason. The service was excellent and very friendly. Made us feel right at home. The food was seasoned perfectly. No salt, pepper or condiments needed. Drinks were awesome too. It was a perfect night. Thank you for being such a big part of it. Rodney and Penny.

Great Steak! Bar Disappoints This Time.

By David S |

My wife and I stopped in for drinks one Sunday and were impressed. We decided to have our 40th Anniversary dinner here and the steaks and appetizers were really very good. Fried Oysters and Filet Mignon were as good as any steakhouse in Atlanta. I was disappointed that my wife ordered a basic Bacardi and Diet Coke and the female bartender suggested another brand of rum that turned out to be a $20 drink. She upsold my wife knowing that she was mixing it with Diet Coke, so why would she need a super premium rum if in fact it was a super premium??? We have never paid $20 for a rum and Diet Coke anywhere in this country, even New York! We will go back for the food and you should try it.

Fun Steak House

By Beachmom2kids |

This was our first visit to C Ellet’s. The menu was basic steak hour fare - very solid selection. We were very impressed by the coordinated service at our table - from initial greeting through the final presentation of the check. Brian was our primary server and he welcomed us with open arms. Brian was a real rock star - he answered all of our questions adeptly and had good menu insights. We all enjoyed the sides he recommended for the table - especially the Mac and cheese. The meal was paced well - we never felt rushed but also did not have long lags in service. We all enjoyed our food - from the seafood tower through the key lime pie. Steaks were all cooked to perfection and the scallops were very carefully grilled and well seasoned (although four medium sized scallops were a bit less than we expected to get for an entree portion). Brian was a careful server, checking in on us at key times throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed without hovering. The restaurant provides a festive birthday dessert complete with pyro effect which was a fun end to our meal. So, solid food choices and charming service —- we will definitely be back.

Good but expensive burger

By GeorgiaRed |

My husband and I first went to C Ellet’s before a Braves game. Totally chaotic but the staff handled it well. We went back again because the burger we had on game night (steak burger) was delicious. It was good tonight too. Very juicy. We asked for medium temperature and it was more like medium well. It was still juicy though. I had onion rings that really aren’t that great. They are fluffy large rings. More batter than onion. My husband had fries which were crispy and good. The one suggestion I would have is to put the burger on a bigger plate. It was literally served on what appeared to be an appetizer plate. The hamburger is large so it deserves some room so you can get your hands around it. It is a $19 burger which is quite pricey. There are lots of burger places in Atlanta. This one was good but not sure it was twice as good to justify the price. May go back to try the steaks because they do have quite a selection.

Very Nice and Elegant

By DeniseCarolina33 |

The food was delicious. The staff is very nice and sophisticated. During brunch there is live music. I would recommend anyone to visit, you cannot go wrong.

Great Steak! Nice atmosphere

Fabulous steak! Great Service. Sat at bar with wife and had wonderful meal. Bartender and server super attentive. Great atmosphere. Will be back....

Great food, disappointing service

By snr2440 |

Linton Hopkins needs to provide adequate orientation for his staff. The food was delicious; I had the trout, others in my party had salmon. The wait staff was heartbreakingly under manned/womaned but each soldiered on with admirable upbeat attitude. No single server knew if they made decal coffee (they did). Another did not know if parking was validated (one eventually found out they did, but it didn’t work). One didn’t know that rolls came with the meal (they did, so we eventually had them for dessert). Time lapses between ordering cocktails and receiving them, ordering appetizers and receiving them...on and on were very lengthy. As the whole dinner took over two hours there was a $20 parking fee. Yikes. But the food was excellent.

Fine Dining and Baseball

By freedine |

My husband and I recently dined at C. Ellet’s and I knew from our gracious greeting, we were destined for a special evening. No detail has been overlooked - service is impeccable, dining room is intimate and sensual; lighting is chic; flowers are gorgeous. I could almost believe I was dining in Paris if I were not in Sun Trust Park! We started with shrimp cocktail that was both delicious and beautifully presented. Everyone ordered filet mignons, although the list of steaks is impressive divided into bone in and no bone. There are other entrees - roasted chicken, rack of lamb, and duck breast, and fish. C. Ellet’s also offers a seafood tower I cannot wait to try. There is a nice list of appetizers and side dishes to compliment the entrees. Baseball games just became a lot more enticing!!!

A romantic night out

Very nice atmosphere. The food was amazing and the waitress was so professional, friendly and genuinely interested in her guest

Beautiful high end steakhouse in Battery Park

By VHemelaer |

Maybe important to say that I am a European living in the ATL area. Visiting this restaurant with a friend from Belgium. I saw the recommendation in Wallpaper magazine... a very good source for cool places in the world! And yes, I completely understood why it was in Wallpaper magazine... - very modern and trendy interior... a place to expect in NY or LA, not immediately in ATL but hey that is great! - this is not a standard steakhouse but a premium one. The pricing is also premium but the food, presentation are matching up to the expectations. I have visited quite a lot of Michelin star restaurants in Europe so there is a certain expectation. Because this is a steakhouse it is difficult to compare the food to a star restaurant but if this would in Brussels or Antwerp... they would be perceived as close to 1 star brasserie level which is right now extremely popular in Europe! So definitely worth going if you like fine dining! The wine lis was indeed beautiful but expensive but this is always the case in places like this in US so I was not surprised about that. They have 2 places: the club room and the fine dining restaurant. We were in the club room and that was indeed pretty noisy! No place for a romantic diner. You sit very close to the other parties... I don’t like that. I have not seen the fine dining location so that might be more private. We had a great diner, we did not think we paid too much and I am definitely going back there!

Great steak place in The Battery

By Thomas V |

We celebrated our son’s 16th birthday at this new eatery in The Battery. Linton Hopkin opened this steak and seafood fine dining and The Club bar with attentive service in addition to excellent food. 14 steaks from various US farms and cattle varieties with unique cuts not typically served. We started with crab claw and assorted oysters. Meats are dry aged so delicious in flavor with $4 sauce choices. We had a filet mignon, baseball cut, and Eureka cut which were well prepared and most flavorful. Best steaks! Sides are farm fresh. We had onion rings, carrots and potatoes in cheese. Definitely will go back to try other items.

Pretty good food and service

By Cafoxmd |

Disappointed our table wasn’t ready when we arrived, then once they sat us it was at an odd shaped table that didn’t fully accommodate our party. Room was freezing from overactive air conditioning. We had to complain.3 times about the temperature before they finally turned it off. My steak was over cooked. Appetizers and sides were delicious.

Unfortunate steak quality not worth the price!

By chefbaba24 |

I was very disappointed. Service was great! Drinks were great but then steak was terrible! As a chef for multiple manufacturers, I expected a good quality ribeye at $90 dollars a steak and I was extremely disappointed. I had to ask for a new steak knife because my steak knife count even cut through our steaks. I was with a client and I didn’t want to make a scene, his steak was the same and I even asked for a knife for him to use. The Wagyu steak was not great as well. Very disappointing.

Home Run!

By James P |

C Ellet's is a first-class restaurant, part of the Sun Trust baseball park complex now home of the Atlanta Braves. It is the latest addition to the dining destinations created by Atlanta's top restauranteur, Linton Hopkins, acknowledged as the best collection of first-rate restaurants in this area. My wife and I made reservations here after another Atlanta Braves meltdown and we found the service and the food to be superb. My Crab Louie was great, so was my wife's salmon and her peach pie for dessert. The Key Lime pie was as tart as it should be (--I once spent two years in Key West in the U.S. Navy in the 1950s, so I am quite familiar with what Key Lime Pie SHOULD BE.) My favorite top-shelf martini's were perfect; so was the coffee, distinctly better than in most other restaurants. The restaurant was full after the game (another dismal Atlanta Braves loss, giving up a Grand Slam before any one was out in the first inning). It remains to be seen whether this first-class restaurant will thrive once the season is over and the ballpark is dead over the winter months. But we live only three miles from the ballpark complex in Marietta, and we expect to return in the fall & winter for good food and great service. TIP: make sure to make Open Table reservations in advance for days when the Braves are playing at home; on other days, that may not be necessary.

Our first visit

By getaccessorized |

This was our first visit to this particular steak house. The food was excellent as I had the rack of lamb and my husband had the 6 ounce filet. Everything was great until we got the check. We were charged for 4 ice teas at five dollars apiece. My husband and I only ordered two ice teas and the waiter kept coming by just topping it off. He never mentioned that they charge each time they top off the ice tea and we never asked him to do this. We travel all over the country and the world and eat at many of the finest restaurants and have never been charged for more than the two iced teas that we order. We are never charged for refills or topping it off. In fact some of the high-end restaurants don’t even charge us for the ice tea. We really enjoyed our meal but there is just too many good restaurants out there that do not take advantage of their customers.

Mixed Review

By BigLeprechaun |

This restaurant has a wonderful interior. It is just outside Sun Trust Park so you are right in the middle of all ballpark activities. Very nice spot for drinks before the game. The food I found to be very hit or miss for my taste. The pork belly bacon with cole slaw was outstanding. The BBQ shrimp was not. I found the clams with sausage good but for me the combo didn't make sense. The sauce they were served in was outstanding. The cocktail sauce for cold shrimp was very tasty and the shrimp were good size. In summary, a very creative menu and worth going back but I gotta find more entrees that work for me. Maybe I'll go with their steak specialties.

Have to agree

Its very good...however, service is very slow. If you are planning on attending, make sure you alot plenty of time to enjoy.

Anniversary Celebration

By JStitcher62 |

We chose C. Ellet’s to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed at all! From the moment we walked into the restaurant until the moment we left we were treated as the only couple there, and the restaurant was full! The menu is simple and elegant with great choices of steak and seafood etc and it was very well put together. Leighton was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable about the menu, very personable and literally waited on us hand and foot. We will definitely be back to enjoy this place again!

Nice Visit

By R_T_G_2012 |

A group of three adults spent the evening at C Ellet. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation and weren't seated until our actual reservation time. We didn’t understand the rationale until we entered the restaurant. The restaurant is small and quaint. You receive the full attention of multiple servers during your dining experience. We were seated close to two larger groups (10+ people and 6 people), and the laughter generated at those tables did fill the room at times. We ordered a steak dish, a seafood dish, and a chicken dish and they were all delicious. The portions were adequate. We ordered multiple different sides, and they were large enough to share. If I return to The Battery area, I definitely will visit C. Ellet again.

Underwhelming and don’t recommend

By 2bacherry |

My husband and I dined at C Ellet’s to celebrate our anniversary this month. It was an utter disappointment. The food was extremely overpriced and over seasoned. We had an appetizer of potato skins, 2 salads (one entree w chicken and one side salad) with a 6 oz filet ($65). Our total was $250. The waiter was not knowledgeable about the type of dressing for the salads, couldn't explain the drink specials or answer my question on which wine was more dry and was not attentive in between our appetizer and dinner course. While the steak was tasty (and should have been for $10/oz) I suggest you find a better value for you time and money than C Ellet’s. I may add that the hostess did acknowledge our anniversary and wish us a happy one, there was no acknowledgment of it at the table from our waiter or even a suggestion of a celebratory dessert. Next time we will go elsewhere.

Awfully overpriced and gross cold food

By kekela2017 |

Please read reviews before you waste your time and money at this restaurant. You will enjoy a hotdog and peanuts more than anything this place delivers. Service and management are lacking attention and delivery quality food. There’s a reason why this is the only place that doesn’t have people waiting to get a table here.

Absolutely the worst

By Traveling4Change |

FIRST look at how many reviews I have. Top 10% for restaurants. I waited to post this review because I wanted it to be good :///// Second chance but what a sad disappointment. They left dirty plates forever, a party of 6 and when dinner entrées were served, they checked on last order and came to say they were out of his steak ... um NOW you tell us? It was an hour after we ordered and EVERYONE had their entrees... came back with bill and charged for baked potato ordered with the missing steak...had to ask it be taken off but it was still on bill. Literally the worst experience I've had at an elite steakhouse or any normal restaurant to be honest. After asking and waiting for management, they took off 20%. It was long and painful but most of all, I felt I let my family down by giving this place another chance. A lady in restroom line said they brought asparagus out late and comped potatoes to the entire table.... reasonable and above and beyond. I love the battery so much and we are season ticket holders so I really tried to love this place.... they just don't care. Customer service doesn't exist.

Steak & Service- Fantastic

By Dawgs99 |

Was told about C Ellet’s from our hotel. We were looking for a local steakhouse and wanted to stay away from chains restaurants. We were seated quickly at the bar. Abbie was the bartender and took our order and gave us suggestions. Abbie was fantastic! She recommended starting off with oysters, and we order six, and ordered a second order, as the first order was outstanding. The steaks came out exactly like we ordered, and they were excellent. The only suggestion I might have, and this might seem odd, but the knives weren’t very very sharp. The steak was super tender, but didn’t cut the steak like higher quality knives. Just a suggestion. Also, the sides could be a little larger for the price. They were fine, as we got mushrooms, broccoli and potato skins. The deserts were good too. The popcorn ice cream was our favorite and the key-lime pie was good too. Again, steak and service from Abbie was outstanding and would go again!

The Very Finest

If you are looking for an amazing evening and an absolute amazing steak, then this is your place. The food is incredible, cooked to perfection. The wine to accompany the meal is absolutely terrific. The service is brilliant and second to none. All in all an amazing place for an amazing evening

Spring break and Braves

They were very accommodating to seat us before our reservation but the wait for food was long - especially with a 6 month old and a 5 year old - but they did have a limited kids menu - but wow the prices for steak was really outrageous but the food we ordered was very good prime rib sandwich, Wagu sirloin - Mac & cheese was over the top - lobster rolls were authentic! Also great truffle fries 😋

Over-priced steaks, slow service, and taking advantage of their prime location next to the ballpark.

Everything, especially the steaks, was way over-priced. This is the closest gourmet restaurant in the Battery to the Chop House gate at Truist, and they are taking advantage of that fact. They don’t have to try hard for business and don’t seem particularly appreciative. Our waitress was slow at every step of the meal and even made a joke about that when bringing our check. She did acknowledge the wait, however, and comped us a dessert. The steaks were flavorful, the lobster bisque was above average, and the desserts good. Side dishes are mid. Our busboy was amazing. He was juggler-level good at clearing the table between courses. We wanted to tip him separately but didn’t see him before we left. The prices make this a place we cannot recommend. The steaks are more expensive even than the legendary Greenbriar in West Virginia and nowhere near as good.

Over the top great food and service

Classy, relaxed atmosphere. Hot rolls were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Crab cake appy was delicious. The NY strip steak and salmon entrees were excellent, as were the sides. Loved the sticky toffee dessert. Our server was attentive, but not intrusive.

It WAS Good!!!

By Relaxlife Tonetta |

I totally forgot the before pic.. lol The ambiance was nice wish we had made our reservations and the dining room versus the front room area. Our server Phillip T was GREAT and very knowledgeable about the menu. We will definitely be back. The New Orleans Barbecue Shrimp was very flavorful..The Potato Skins and Mac & Cheese was AMAZING.. Unfortunately Center Cut filet and carrots was just OK. I’ve had better steak at a better price!! I would totally suggest against ordering a cocktail drink. You’ll be better off stopping by Yard House or one of the other bars. I ordered a lemon drop martini and I swear I only had lemon juice, ice and dash of triple sec.. As you can see I still gave a four star rating. Although my steak was just ok and my drink was Non-existing. Everything else was incredible..Especially the our server..

Finally, An Upscale Restaurant in Cobb County!

C. Ellet's was a spot suggested by a bartender at the Yardhouse. Once you step in you will notice it's a class act. Beautiful Oyster bar with superb seating. The bartender was super nice and knows how to make a great cocktail. We didn't have food, but the menu is very nice. We decided to make reservations for our 40th wedding anniversary at C. Ellet's based on the atmosphere and the friendly staff!

Amazing Steak, Great Service

By CaNeil K |

We stopped in late, around 10:30, hoping they were still open. Our server took excellent care of us, even though it was obvious that we were his last customers for the night. I had the steak salad. You know, I wasn't expecting the steak on a salad to be fabulous, but it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. For dessert, we had the chocolate souffle. It was light and so chocolatey and soooo yummy! There's a range of prices. You can get a salad or a sandwich for around $15-20, or you can spend over $100 for a steak. We will definitely go back.

Disappointed for the price

The restaurant is located virtually next door to where the Atlanta Braves play and it was a game night so they were very busy. The menu description that our server provided was articulate and well-delivered, but after that, the overall service lacked. They were slow to remove plates and the 2 ladies in our party had to ask for utensils twice. The food was acceptable, but C Ellet’s is not in the same league as some other high-end steakhouses that we have visited including chain restaurants, Ruth’s Chris and Shulas.

Great Water

By Waylon C |

Went prior to Braves game. Hostess stated 5-10 minute wait for inside or outside (noticed several empty tables outside). Was called and seated in roughly 10 minutes, at one of the aforementioned empty tables. We were brought some really great cold water within 5 minutes. Eventually "saw" two waitress, never acknowledged us. They spent time at several other tables, take an order and disappear for about 5 minutes, came back out and removed two plates from another table, left to take them somewhere. One hostess came out and started to clear a table. Could not get anyone attention. Wife spoke with head hostess, her response was "have a nice day". Not my idea of southern hospitality. They did have a menu that had several items I was looking to try. Since we were never able to order can't tell you if they tasted as good as they were written. I can tell you that the water was very good, very cold and came in a good sized clean glass.

Good but very slow

By Maria G |

We Sat for two hours and did not get to order dessert. The restaurant and wait it were aware for my reservation and us that we need to leave at 7:30. We paid the bill at 7:45. The food was delicious! The assistant waiters or not trained. Any question you ask them they had to ask the waiter. The waiters were stretched thin since the restaurant was full. The potatoes au gratin were heavenly. I love the garlic clove they came with my steak. The amuse bouche was a pimento cheese macaroon. Delicious and unique. The house based cloverleaf rolls were good but they would’ve been better hot.

Non-refundable deposit, rude service experience

By Matthew R |

Food was good but not great. Hamburgers were just okay, oysters were very good. Big issue was quality of service. We made a reservation on OpenTable and were charged a $15 per person fee, which I thought was a refundable reservation deposit. We were celebrating my birthday and my girlfrien's birthday and included this in the reservation. Upon arrival, the hostess was very nice and wished us happy birthdays. However, this info must not have made its way to the wait staff. Our waiter never wished us a happy birthday and did not offer to bring out a complimentary dessert. A couple of weeks later, I called to try and have the deposit refunded since it was still showing up on my credit card. I spoke to a lady who said that the deposit was essentially a cover fee for the all star week since the restaurant was so crowded (it was barely half full when we were there). I said ok, that's fine, but I want to bring to your attention that nobody wished us a happy birthday or offered dessert, and I would expect this from a nice restaurant. There was 5 seconds of silence and she said "ok...any more questions?". I've never had the privilege of paying a $30 cover fee just to get a table at an empty restaurant, and I've never been treated so poorly over the phone by a hostess. I've been here many times before, but won't be going back anytime soon.

Great food, great service and noisy to a fault

By Micheal D |

First time there. Ate in the bar area. Fine menu, Very attentive service and great food. But if you weren't suffering from hearing loss when you went in, you may have it when you leave. We tried appetizers, salads, mains and deserts. All were top flight. I had chicken and although I don't want to overstate it, it was the best I've ever had. Wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. My friend had a steak and felt the same. Overall. you won't be disappointed. I understand they have a more formal dining area (couldn't get a res) that is probably quieter. Also, first time at the new stadium. The entire area is a lot of fun.

Stopped by during a Braves Game.

By Atl-roadie |

I tired C Ellet's during a Braves Game and was not disappointed. While they have a distinct and varied steak menu with excellent meat from around the country, I chose to have appetizers at the bar in the Club Room. I ordered the Chipotle Corn Bisque which was awesome and I had a Caesar salad which was very good. Bar service was excellent and attentive even though they were slammed due to the game. Can't wait to go back and have a real steak!

Better not have more than four in your party!

By TravelLover629 |

Sadly this was a very poor experience based on the policies and management. It was chosen to celebrate our granddaughter's birthday and she loved the restaurant. We tried all week to make a reservation for the group of 9, frustrated by being told they would only sit 4 at a table. We had previously eaten there with a party of 5 and there was no problem. It was now explained that there was a corporate change in policy. We made three reservations to meet our need. Mind you if was for 12 year olds, reservation for 5:30 on a night where there was not a baseball game. When we arrived there was a large area, with a table to six and one next to it that would easily have met our needs. There also was another area clearly with a large group seated with two fours and two twos. Instead of attempting to meet our needs we were totally separated in three different areas, even though there was another two other areas that easily would have clustered our group or we could have been offered to eat outside. This issue is the management on site inability to do there job. it would have been different if this was a full restaurant, but it was not. All the management did was explain away the policy, rather than doing what they should have done. I have eaten at restaurants all over the world and US and have never had such a poor experience. The food was nice, the server was excellent, but considering the fact that Atlanta has so many wonderful restaurants, many in The Battery, this truly is not worth your time or money.

Very good, but not excellent

By Donna H |

I enjoyed my dinner here. It was my birthday, so a special occasion. We each had old fashioneds. They were perfectly made. We both got steaks. Medium rare. My husbands was cooked perfectly, mine was medium. The flavor was still great tho. Impressed by the servers and their teamwork. The instant I cut open my steak to see no pink, I guess it showed on my face. Another server came to check on me. Very, very impressed by all of the service. The restaurant itself is a little loud. And a little colder than I would’ve liked. The place was very busy, so I’m glad we made a reservation.

Amazing Birthday Dinner

By jimlrvp |

Words can’t express how fantastic of a dinner we had last Sunday evening. From the flawless hospitality to the champagne and oysters to tomahawk steak, lamb, salmon and sides...followed by a perfect Birthday cake. Simply exquisite. Thank you The sommelier and wait team were fantastic too. Well done Linton and Team!

Split views

By Tim M |

We came with a group of 11 people. This restaurant split views as half the table had cold food and half had great steaks. He service was polite but very slow indeed. Food at our end of the table was great with steaks being excellent but expensive. I would think twice about coming again.

Mother's Day Disaster

By honestlyspeakg |

A reservation for 10, at 1pm turned into a 40 minute wait, with no apologies or visit from a manager. Food delivered at 2:40, zero empathy for hungry crying children, not even a discount on appetizer offered. 3 pcs of muffins with butters were given to appease the babies as we waited and waited and waited for our meals... when we were originally told it would be 20 minutes. Seating hostess unable to resolve seating issues, waitress worked hard to work within constraints, manager unconcerned with our situation. FOOD... steak good, but overpriced, chicken no flavor, bread was good. Mimosa was great... nice place, tables/seating not comfortable. Certainly not worth the price, aggravation or my time. Extremely Disappointed... ( sad to say worst review I have ever written. )

Relaxing dinner but probably won’t return

By Julie G |

Had the chicken. It was delicious! Husband had steak and it was a little over cooked. He asked for medium. We got onion rings with remoulade. Sauce was good, but the rings were bland. Had the wedge salad which was very delicious! Glass of wine is too much. Quite a mark up on Stag’s Leap Chardonnay. The service was ok and Phillip was very kind, but he didn’t listen very well. Husband asked for salad to come out with his steak, not early, but came early. He asked for coffee and had to send it back because it was cold and was not attentive with our other drinks. We did come in at the end of the evening, but it was Saturday night and we were there at least 45 minutes before their closing time. Ok experience, but nothing too exciting!

An Oasis Fine Dining

By ewellg2016 |

Located near the Chop Gate of SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves,, C. Ellet’s offers a comfortable foray into exceptional cuisine. With a wide-ranging dresscode featuring everything from formal to Braves fans stadium attire, the focus is on quality service and superior dining. Everything we experienced featured the best in flavor and presentation.

Excellent steak, sides and dessert.

By Attea146 |

This was my third (and best) trip to C Ellet’s. I’ve experienced slow service there before but this evening had no such hiccups. Starters included shrimp and a cheese selection. My Caesar was good, but pedestrian. My filet was cooked perfectly with roasted garlic on top. Sides included mashed potatoes (excellent), asparagus with hollandaise, woodland mushrooms (great with the steak), and spinach cooked with garlic and oil. All but the entrees and salad were served family style. Loved the Key Lime Pie for dessert. A California Syrah provided the perfect beverage accompaniment. I did not see a menu with prices and cannot comment on value.

Really great food!

By Juliede |

We had tried to get in here on a Saturday night. The earliest we could get seated was 10pm! Then we decided to do an overnight for Valentines Day and we were able to get in on a Tuesday night with no wait. We sat in the bar area. It's a bit noisy. There were several things on the menu that sounded good so we ordered a bunch of sides in addition to the "baseball" steak. The steak was cooked to perfection! We started off with a few Duxbury oysters. They were small but good. Then we had blue crab over salad greens the was delish! The brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, mac & cheese and squash were awesome!

Outstanding cuisine and service

By Joel R |

Greeted by friendly staff, and the seating was nice. Nice menu selections and excellent selection of wines. Our Server was well versed in meal preparation, and each item exceeded our expectations. As a mid-western native, I was blown away by the Berkshire Pork-chop. Would definitely recommend this place.

Double local!

By Kathy C |

Chef Hopkins is local and some of the food is local. Although I did not have it, I was delighted to see White Oaks Pastures (Bluffton, GA) steak tartare. Although I've never had steak tartare, it I would choose to have it, this is what I would have. White Oaks provides pastured beef of THE highest quality. That being said, I had the stead salad. Great idea, but the salad was too lightly dressed (easily fixable by an extra serving) and the steak was tough. Gosh. Wish I'd have chosen the steak tartare. The menu was very, very interesting and we will go back to try more entrees. When we entered, I sat at a table in the bar while my husband fetched the drinks. The table was nasty. And I was promptly shoo'ed away for a large group reservation which never arrived.

Hip steak house @ the park!

By E9N20 |

Great spot in the middle of Battery Park. Minimalist in design, open, airy, very cool. Excellent service, good atmosphere. Discovered this eatery last month while in Atlanta for work. C Ellet adds a little sophistication to the assortment of eateries at the ball park. Really fine assortment of oysters.. The mixologist knew how to handle a martini. Next time, I will go in for dinner and have a steak. Definitely my choice at the ball park.

Horrible attitude

By jolissa r |

The food was great server was great however we spent a pretty penny on our food but I barley touched my plate. Hence I would have opt for take out plate and I walked away from the table for 5 mins to take a photo and my food was thrown away by “accident “ when asked why ? “ we already closed at 10 and we were trying to get out of here” no resolutions and absolutely no solutions and there Definatley was no apology! Which I think is in very poor taste.

Pricey due to service

By WSU1986 |

This is a "hip" new steakhouse, but old fashioned European service - you pay for the 6 people it takes to service a table. Expect 2 hours for dinner service. The décor is beautiful. Food overall was good. Trigger fish was not a hit - not much texture. Salmon belly appetizer was bland. Baked chicken was best deal of the night - had 2 more meals with take home. Bar-B-Q shrimp appetizer was different but good. Waiter paired a great Chardonnay with the chicken. Other drinks OK and a nice selection of beers. Glad to have tried this new restaurant.

Very Dissapointed!

By Dealmaker |

We arrived 2 hours before a Sunday afternoon Atlanta Braves Baseball Game. Our server was attentive and beverages and starters were brought right away. Main courses took almost an hour to be served. The main courses were very good, but for a fine dining estabishment to have guests wait and hour for their main courses is unacceptable. If someone was on the ball the manager should ahve come over to apologise. It was strange that for brunch ice coffee was not availabe so we made our own. No cream of half & Half. Fried chicken was excellent as was the cinnamon roll and of course the H&F Burgers.
