My wife and I went here for breakfast and it was great! Fast and attentive service with a quirky 80's style setting. I ordered the chicken fried steak and received a huge chunky steak covered in gravy with toast and potatoes. Highly recommend this as a breakfast spot!

Great food & service. Salmon & eggs were cooked perfectly. Food allergies were graciously honored. Definitely will be back.

I was overwhelmed by the menu options. However, all of the three dishes that we ordered (tortilla soup, tuna melt, and pasta of the day) were quite good. The service was quick and friendly. We arrived for a very late lunch and were seated immediately in a booth. Though we were some of the last customers, we didn't feel rushed.

Kind of like a diner but has a bar! Breakfast was excellent and they also have some offerings you might not see elsewhere. Service was great. Place was clean. Would definitely go back.

My husband and I come here 2-3 times a year when we are in Portland. Typically there is a wait, today not so! Breakfast was fabulous, we have never been disappointed here. We had biscuits & gravy, and an omelette. All was great as usual!

I've been going to Cadillac every time I want a really wonderful breakfast/ brunch. The food is fresh and hand made with homemade touches like sausages, thick fluffy pancakes and Oregon jams and fruit. The french toast is excellent and covered in fresh fruits and high end maple syrup. Champagne and fresh squeezed oranges will lift your spirit. The salads are numerous and each is a meal in itself. Brunch menus are always hearty and filled with flavor.

Had the mixed-grill omelet and a side of bacon. Cool interior, and yes, there actually IS a pink-ish Cadillac inside the restaurant. Great omelet, tasty potatoes, And that bacon...That Bacon!!....Super thick, perfect char, bends but does not shatter, ooff! WANT MORE!! HULK SMASH!!

Best breakfast in Portland! French toast is amazing! Great bacon and mocha s! Try to hit it every trip.

We had a such a great breakfast that we had to come back and bring my son along! I had the rustic hash, the men had the mixed grill omelettes. Plenty of meat and huge servings! My son is celliac and the gf toast was a welcome addidition to the meal. The service was outstanding- quick, friendly and always ready to top off the coffee!

We checked trip advisor for a brunch recommendation. So glad we did. The Cadillac Cafe was clean, smart and very friendly staff and delicious food. A real treat.

We love going to the Cadillac Cafe! The service is always good and the food is always top notch! The Bunkhouse Vittles is my favorite menu item!

A Portland friend recommended.that we have brunch here. He. eats here often. It was very good for brunch. Good service. We parked on the street.

What a fun, local place with a big pink Cadillac inside the restaurant. Loved the sour dough toast. The bacon was so good too. Must be a Portland thing. Coffee was great. Nice atmosphere. Families would be welcome. Nice grotto room with a fireplace for a cold day. Could have eaten here every day.

Parking Valet at Crown Plaza suggested Cadillac Cafe for breakfast. It was a great choice. It felt like a neighborhood place were friends gather. Doug our waiter was so friendly. He took great care of us. The breakfast selection was extensive. If you can't find it here, you can't find it anywhere. Portions were generous! Prices were good! đđ

The food was really delicious. It gave me a home cooked feeling even though it was totally pro. I ordered the chicken fried steak and had more than enough on my plate for a bite time snack!

Great food and great service has always been our experience at Cadillac Cafe. This time was a group of 7 men all seated at a round table - some had never been to the cafe before. Lived up to its reputation.

Real food. Fresh. Wonderful, attentive service. Relaxing location. Will return soon. Portland was a great visit. Delightful breakfast spot.

We were told by several people in we know in Portland that this is their favorite place for breakfast. We can see why. We were there for breakfast and weren't disappointed. The people who had the eggs with their French Toast were raving about how good it was. The waiter we had was very good and attentive. This is one we will definitely go back to. Parking can be a little difficult and I am told that on week-ends they don't take reservations and the lines can be a little long.

Recently dined at The Cadillac with a friend after not having been there for almost 15 years. Shouldn't have waited so long between visits...it was better than I remembered. Service was on point the whole time without being in your face. Great food, really good coffee, great setting. Recommend the Cadillac with out hesitation.

Always good with nice variety. Frequent this place for late breakfast or lunch. Great place to take visitors on the near in NE side.

My wife and I ate breakfast here two days in a row. We have been here in past years and knew what to expect: very good food and neat atmosphere sitting at the window looking out on Broadway St in NE Portland. In the past we sat at the bar but the window is best. One must go early because they get busy. Service is always good and pleasant.

The food was delicious and the staff was friendly! I Recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great Sunday breakfast spot. The portions were large and the food was unique with combination that will delight mosts palates! The menu is distinct as opposed to your typical breakfast spot! Excellent service and a must go see with a pink Cadillac in the center of the open airy restaurant!

Great food, pretty good service. The fireplace makes the seating near it smell like gasoline. Lots of older people. Great for breakfast and the guy at the bar knows his stuff.

The food and service is great. Their potatoes have to be the best potatoes I've ever had. Please note that the eggs will be runny unless otherwise requested and most menu items are covered in cilantro even though this is not noted in the food descriptions (FYI to those with a cilantro allergy). The food also tends to be sweet, so come in with a sweet-tooth. Enjoy!

Attentive service and nice atmosphere for weekday breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed my pancakes with seasonal fruit, bananas and cranberries, egg and chicken sausage. Had my yearly intake of cranberries. A bit pricey but was totally fun and yummy.

I thoroughly enjoyed this cafe! Their French toast was amazing as was their bacon. Nice and thick! We will come back for sure. They also had gluten free toast with us a rarity...

We were a group of 6 looking for Sunday breakfast, and were not disappointed. The service was very attentive and the food outstanding. Good grief! the portions were quite large and given the variety in the menu, it was difficult to choose. I had eggs, apple sausage, potatoes and hazelnut french toast. It was all amazing, but definitely couldn't finish all of it. Others had salmon Benedict, huevos rancheros, and omelets and each was fabulous. The coffee kept coming. I would definitely recommend this place!

Letâs get this out the way anywhere you go itâs a 30-45 min wait in Portland. The host was great the waiter went above and beyond his services the food was nice a hot when arrived. Pleasant place for the family

Excellent breakfast menu. You can't go wrong with anything you choose. They have a very nice selection of omelettes, pancakes and waffles. I had an omelette and friend ordered bacon and eggs. Both meals came with toast and jam. The coffee here is also excellent and our server was very attentive. Get there early, it gets crowded.

This was my first visit to the Cadillac Cafe. I was surprised by the number of great choices on their lunch and breakfast menus. They are only open to 2-3pm each day so the lunch and breakfast menus carry through the open times. There were so many good choices that I had trouble deciding what to choose. I decided on the Hazelnut French Custard Toast Breakfast. The french toast was wonderful and the sausage (my choice) and egg were cooked just right. The interior of the cafe was bright and modern. My lunch mates ordered a sandwich and a salad. They were both please by their choices. The wait staff was prompt and pleasant. The overall experience was very good. I will come back here with my wife sometime and try one of the other choices that I wanted to order.

Service was great, food was delicious! Had a wonderful veggie/ albacore salad sandwich. It was amazing. Highly recommend.

Always a consistent meal. Breakfast is my favorite and our waiter was so accommodating. They have very fun specialty drinks, too.

What do you go to a restaurant for? Good food, good service, a nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, clean restrooms. Well the Cadillac has them all but if if truth be told so do many other cafes. The food was good but not really great, the service was a bit above average, the prices likewise. Atmosphere? Nice but not anything I'd write home about except for the two Cadillacs, (or was it portions thereof?) gracing the entrance. Would we return? Yes. This is a known quantity. Expectations won't be as high next time which might lead to a higher rating.

My sweet husband loves a good brunch so when his birthday rolled around we grabbed up oldest daughter and hit a Portland classic. Typical diner decor complete with a full sized pink Cadillac and bar. There was a line but we where seated in less than five minutes. Our waitress was cheerful and efficient , bringing a really cool three tiered latte, fresh grapefruit mimosa and spicy-good Bloody Mary before our food arrived. Steak and eggs was not your usual runny side up with a side of tasteless shoe leather. Oh no, this was a medium rare tenderloin with a peppery rub beautifully cooked then plated with light spinach filled scrambled eggs and house specialty home fries . Two Texas- toast sized pieces of french toast where liberally sprinkled with ground hazelnuts . Two slabs("look how big they are!"remarked daughter ) of bacon and Cadillac home fries rounded out the meal. A special on the menu that day called avocado toast , had what seemed like a whole avocado crushed on a dinner plate sized piece of toast and topped with a perfectly poached egg( it offered a custom egg option) I always go with poached as a sort of litmus test as to the caliber of the kitchen ... ha! Just kidding! I order poached because I've never been able to reliably poach a good egg at home(grin) it was very tastey and came with home fries as well. All of three of ate and drank( more than one) for under $65. Worth it all around!

Took my daughter in law here for her first time on Mon. for her birthday breakfast. This is one restauant that we have taken friends, & family to over the years and never been disappointed, usual we go on a weekend and have to stand in line, but "NO LINES" on Mon.'s. I like the room behind the glass doors, where the walls are painted green with a mural of tree,s, greenery I also like the fireplace, in the room (if this room is available). I was being good this time and had a veg. omelette, asked for two eggs instead of three, light on the cheese, no potato's or toast, just fresh fruit, and THEY ACCOMMODATED ME, loved the caramelized onions too. BE SURE AND LOOK FOR THE VINTAGE PINK CADILLAC!!!

Visited here while on a trip to portland. Itâs near the Lloyd center. Local flavor and popular. Cool pink Cadillac in the store

This was once a fabulous place for breakfast, lunch and weekend brunches. At one time if I had out of town guests, this is where I took them for brunch. This is such a good example of if it is not broke, don't fix it. New ownership came in and removed a number of great choices and started adding new things of their own and it has not been a good change. I have been back at least four times and each time it has been worse. Over thought specials that don't work. Quality of food has gone down. Hot food is coming to the table cold. Lines for a table use to be long, but well worth the long wait. Last time I went there the place was almost empty and there were no lines. I think that speaks volumes.

High end casual cafe. Popular place that doesn't take reservations on the weekend so be prepared to wait. Bright, clean and lots of attentive servers.

I've been going here since the restaurant started and was at about 12th and Broadway twenty-five or thirty years ago. I used to go two or three times a month, but over the last few months, I hesitate and find myself looking for alternatives. The Cadillac has consistently had excellent breakfasts and lunches, but recently it seems there's been a change in ownership and some personnel changes. The service has become slow and almost, but not quite, indifferent. The food is okay, but it certainly isn't the same as it used to be.

If you are in the northeast area of Portland, this is a great place for breakfast or lunch. I had the best club sandwich ever there! Andy they had a great blueberry vinagrette salad dressing.

A inviting place physically inside and out and obviously very popular. We had no trouble getting a table for four at 1:30. The place was still jammed. Everyone had food piled on plates and it all looked great. The waitpersons were on time, pleasant, etc. The noise level wasn't too bad. The views around the restaurant are fun with folks walking around to take pictures of the full-sized pink Caddy. We all ordered different items, which were delivered relatively promptly thereafter. We'd barely made a dent in our coffee. Therein lies the reason for my rating this place a 3 star, not 4 star. Two of us ordered omelettes and both, along with the accompanying "famous" Cadillac hash, were dry. We got the impression they'd been sitting under a heat lamp in the kitchen too long, waiting for a customer to arrive. The other two meals were okay according to the eaters. I'd give the place another try, perhaps at a time likely to be less busy, perhaps before the normal lunch "hour" and definitely something other than what otherwise sounded like a great omelette.

The Cadillac Cafe reminded me of the kind of place my dad would have found comfortable. We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning a little after ten, and got a table in a couple of minutes, however, a big crowd followed us, and the place was full. There was a full selection of omelettes, pancakes and waffles, and usual breakfast foods. The Cadillac potatoes were a little salty, but good. Servings were large and filling. It was breakfast done well.

Had a delightful breakfast with out of state friends. The ambience is fun with a full size pink Cadillac behind glass, the wait staff is attentive . The menu has a nice variety with breakfast served all day.

Our first time at The Cadillac. Stopped by for brunch. Was for very pleasantly surprised. The food was good excellent. Banana bread was very good. Service was very good. Will definitely return.

I was disappointed with my experience after seeing so many great reviews for Cadillac Cafe. My boyfriend and I ordered this on Uber Eats. It was a bit overpriced- the French toast breakfast was 13 dollars for 2 pieces of French toast and nothing else- no sides, eggs, anything. That was off putting. They also had an option for ârealâ maple syrup for an extra $3 instead of regular syrup- which was free. I didnât end up getting the ârealâ stuff because the price was a deterrent, but I canât imagine a $3 side could have come with enough to be worth that much extra. We split the French toast- which was really tasty. I got the avocado, tomato and spinach Benedict. This was NOT good. I believe it was partly due to it taking 1.5 hours to arrive, but the spinach tasted like frozen spinach that you get at the store and it was plopped on top of a soggy English muffin. It was super watery. This was the weirdest thing for me- the tomato on top was like a stewed tomato. I was expecting a fresh tomato slice. But this was a straight up stewed piece of tomato that had a very distinct and overpowering taste. My boyfriend said his omelette was okay, and the potatoes were pretty good. I would give this place another try since the French toast was really good, but definitely not getting the tomato spinach and avocado Benedict ever again. I also think eating here would be a better experience than getting it to go based on the overall freshness.

For breakfast, when on the road, I wand i) good service, ii) good coffee, iii) enough variety to choose something interesting, and iv) good food. This place had all (except #ii), along with a very pleasant setting (not important to me, but a nice plus). The food selection was good, and the scramble I had was interesting and yummy. The service was quick and very pleasant. Now, I didn't like the coffee (which is something of a surprise in Portland), but as no one else mentions it, maybe it was me. I took a couple sips and then switched to a latte (which was good). Overall, I liked the place a lot and would go back (maybe try the coffee again...)

The food is fresh, and plentiful and the service has always been good. We enjoy the atmosphere and the comfortable seating as well.

Surprise breakfast location! Really good food and service. Try the seasonal fruit pancakes! All dishes were as ordered. very good attention to detail!

The entire place is very clean, bright and with the Cadillac on display it makes the whole thing come together. The food is exceptional in that it is just as you would like it to be and enough of it. Second time in a week we ate there and had the same thing and the performance the second time was as good as the first. The staff is friendly and on the spot with additional coffee and anything you would want. Lingering at your table is no problem and additional coffee is offered. A really good place in Northeast Portland.

Used to love this place. Hubby and I would come here often on a Sunday!! Food was ice cold, and server didn't check till we were almost done eating. Found out they had changed ownership and cooks! Will be looking for a new breakfast restaurant. Sorry Radar!

Good food. Good service. Good prices. Expect a wait, especially on Sundays. They close at 3 pm. Great omelets.

Although I have heard of it for years I am rarely in that area. A friend suggested it as a mid point to meet for breakfast. I was so pleasantly surprised. The wait staff is top notch and great with suggestions. Our food came out quickly and it was delicious. Even though it is out of the way for me I was so impressed that I will go again in the future when I want to meet with friends in a nice atmosphere with great food.

Here is another first for me!! I have walked by here and never seen Tom make it during breakfast!! I had the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and Cadillac potatoes!! Excellent food, service very fast delivery of food to table, this place does fill up quickly with business people and everyday commuters , I love the decor!! Iâm told the French toast is a favorite here I recommend this place

Food was awesome. Atmosphere was great. Bathrooms clean. Service was fast and very accurate. These people didnât miss a beat when it came to having what we needed to have a good meal. Hope to be back soon.

Extensive menu of breakfast all day in addition to sandwiches, salads and soups. . Features include "custard" French toast, and " eggs in purgatory" ( poached hard eggs on top of spicy Creole sauce , on top of a LOT of grits.). Enormous salads . Attentive staff. Good decibel level

This was our second time here and it did not disappoint. We had about a 20min wait for our table (7) and we were seated in about that time. A must have, the Bakon Bloody Mary!! The food here is good and the menu is very cafe Americana.

Cadillac Cafe is a local favorite, but today was a disappointment. The service was so slow. The food came quickly, but the original drink order took 15 minutes after we were seated. Waiter seemed off or overworked.

Best Cafe I have ever been to. No exaggeration. Meal was excellent, not overpriced. They serve you a lot of food that will fill you up, guaranteed, very fancy inside, and great customer service.

This was always our favorite breakfast/lunch place in Portland. I took a friend out for her birthday last week. She wanted the salmon, but they said they were out of it. I ordered my favorite garden grilled cheese sandwich and split pea soup. The sandwich was great, but the soup was watery and tasteless. I thought it was an off day. We went back yesterday with out of town friends, and we all loved our drinks: the gearshift, pear mimosa and bloody Mary's. I ordered my same delicious sandwich, but my husband was disappointed with the eggs Mazatlan. He said the sauce was not as tasty as usual Some of the wait staff is still there, and they are awesome. The hostess told us it was sold 2 months ago which explains everything. We miss you Rod!

When a friend asks "where should we meet for lunch?" I always reply: Cadillac Cafe. It's friendly, great food, and has a unique ambience: how many restaurants have a vintage Cadillac chassis on display? Weekends are packed, but if you can visit during the week, you can probably get in, and you'll be glad you did.

We had a salad and the club sandwich plus drinks which came to $28 including tip between the pair of us - excellent value. The cafe is kitted out with its own Cadillac on display. Quite dated decor - not sure if it's deliberate or not - but gave off a 1950s vibe. We thought our waiter (Bryan?) was very good. Would recommend this place to others. Be sure to check their opening hours - it closed earlier than we expected.

Very diner-ish. The food was AMAZING!!!!! Highly recommend the hazelnut custard French toast... out of this world!

Hit the cafe around 1:30p and was able to get a table with a very short wait. Had the red, white and Blue pancakes and a salad plus Bloody Maryâs. All excellent and heaping portions. Very nice wait staff as well.

A large group of 10, including a guest in a wheelchair and a toddler who likes to wander, met here for an impromptu gathering after a family event on Saturday night. Our server was efficient, attentive, and quiet: he sensed that this was a family event and went about his work almost invisibly, and that was exactly what we needed! The food was really good, the coffee plentiful, the decor warm and inviting, and the view from our window seat onto Broadway Street a bonus.

The portions are enormous but perhaps that is America. It has a nice atmosphere. If you are into sweet breakfasts, this is the place. The coffee could have been stronger, but the people were nice and lots of real local color.

Was looking for home cooking style breakfast spot and this delivered. I was in town 5 days for work and I ate breakfast here every day. Super friendly staff and a beautiful Cadillac parked inside!

a friend and i wanted to return to the cadillac cafe and sit outside for breakfast/lunch, so today was the day...we were all masked up and were led to the back patio where it was quiet and charming...i had water and the garden omelete, sub fruit for the potatoes.... my friend had coffee and the bunkhouse vittles...the food, as always was superb......the staff is real nice and quick....it's nice, festive, and quiet in the back.....be sure to tip well during these challenging times....thx so much!

My husband was having surgery close by so I went there for breakfast. I ordered the chicken fried steak. The steak came on a large plate ad it was half nested on a lot of fried potatoes.and covered in gravy. This is what I expected however it was so heavily seasoned that the seasoning obliterated everything else. Both my husband and I are very good cooks and I couldn't pick out a single flavor that harmonized with the meat and the gravy spices fought with the seasoned potatoes. I cut my steak and it was so full of gristle and sinew strings that I chewed what I could and removed it from my mouth. After 3 more bites that were exactly the same I left the entire plate. I went to my soft boiled egg and it was cooked hard...no soft yolk at all. As I needed to return to my husband there was no point or time to speak to anyone about it but it was truly the FIRST time I actually left an entire meal uneaten. I felt that perhaps it was a line cook doing the seasoning as it seemed like handfuls of uncoordinated spices were thrown together under the theory "the more the better" with no real feel for a real flavor direction. I will not go back.

My husband and I met friends for lunch, but ordered off the breakfast menu. We split an omelet and both had plenty to eat. The omelet included potatoes and toast. Everything was good and served on a hot plate. No lukewarm food here. Our server was friendly and the service good. We hope to return when we're next in Portland.

Ate breakfast here twice on a recent trip to Portland and loved it both times. Diverse menu. Delicious breads. Highly recommend.

What a peaceful ambience! We sat in the garden room and enjoyed breakfast with friends. The food came in a timely fashion and the waitress attended to our every need. She was great to keep our water glasses full on a hot day. And everytime she was at our table we received a big smile and asked if we needed anything else. We were treated like royalty. Everyone of us enjoyed our food. From gluten-free French toast, hashbrowns and eggs, to French toast smothered in fresh raspberries.

Shameful! Our first visit to Cadillac Cafe was an utter disappointment. While standing in line waiting to put our name on the list (I was next), a woman who clearly was a regular, walked in from a different direction, stood in front of me and began chatting with the man at the host table. Although what the woman did was rude on its own, it was the actions of the man at the host table that left a bad taste in our mouths. When I told the man at the host table that we were waiting to put our name down and were next, he very rudely and in a loud tone said, "I will address you in a minute. You interrupted my conversation with this woman. You just wait your turn." His dismissive, callous and rude behavior should not be tolerated. I am disappointed that Cadillac Cafe allows their employees to treat guests in this manner. As a result, we left and will never visit Cadillac Cafe again.

i hadn't been to this place since they moved from the western portion of ne broadway what 20 yrs ago or?.... a friend wanted to have lunch here, so it was neat to check it out.......we had brian, and he was great....i had the veggie sandwich on whole wheat with a salad...yummmmy....my friend had french toast potato and bacon plus coffee....the big cadillac is shiny and harkens to a simpler time....thx, it was excellent!

the food was good, but the service was not up to par.......hostess finally took our order as we waited and waited for our waitress to arrive......liked the coffee they used..........the french toast with nuts was really good........get the service up and i would come back to this place, as you have good food.

We recently returned for breakfast and were very pleased. The breakfast "specials" are always our choice and the smoked salmon scramble was very very good. They also offer gluten free bread for toast which is the best I have ever eaten. Although the restaurant is very crowded, you do not feel rushed and the servers are excellent.

Five of us Te at Cadillac Cafe today. They offer breakfast an lunch. Two of us had breakfast and two had lunch. The menu has unique and interesting items. Portions are on the smaller side. Service was acceptable but not great. Parking could be a problem.

I know there are a lot of great breakfast place in portland. Drove past this on broadway and randomly tried it on our wAy out of the city . Mixed grill omelet was great.. Lots of carmalized onions and bacon. Bread really good. Eggs were fluffy! Clean place. Good Bloody Mary .

An upbeat spot with great food The Air conditioning was a bit cold but the friendly attentive service made up for being a little uncomfortable

We went for a Sunday brunch and it was busy. Service was slow and the food took a long time. I had the Rustic Hash and my son had the Huevos Rancheros. The food was presented well but tasted boring and salty. The coffee was excellent. I do want to try it again but perhaps for lunch next time. This restaurant can be noisy and parking difficult.

We waited about 15 minutes for a table. We enjoyed an enjoyable meal of raspberry coconut French toast, and a "Santa Fe" omelette. The food was plentiful and tasty. They were very busy.

Definitely a trendy restaurant and takes forever to get in, But the staff is very Attentive of the food is amazing.

Perfect place for breakfast with the family. They have your basics for the kids and some interesting dishes for the adults. I had the omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, goat cheese, spinach, and carmelized onions - delicious. The omelet with spinach, bacon, and Swiss looked good as did the oatmeal (the really good steel cut oats kind). Server was fabulous - speedy and attentive. He was on top of coffee refills as well. Yay! Love the atmosphere - very cool. Will definitely be back when we're in Portland next.

This long time neighborhood favorite lives up to the hype! I've lived in the Lloyd Center area my whole life, but never had eaten at this restaurant. TWICE in 2016 did I have the pleasure of having breakfast here! I'm not too excited about the design or seating, but the food...value and taste are unquestionably good! The first time I was the only one of 10 who didn't have the highly recommended custard French bread. On my second visit my mouth was beyond pleased with choosing the custard French toast! A MUST HAVE

The service and the food was excellent. Pete was our waiter and he made sure we were taken care of at every turn. The chicken fried steak and gravy were delicious!

Bustling place with large and small groups of locals talking up a storm over large breakfast plates. Great selection of special pov selections. Plenty of on street parking. GPS brought us right there from our hotel.

The service is consistently good, the food comes out relatively fast-even with a full house on a Saturday morning. Great Bloody Mary's and a nice place to connect with friends and family over good nosh.

Had an egg-white omelet, english muffin and great seasoned potatoes here this past weekend. The place is immaculate, the service was stellar and I wish I lived closer to it!

Amazing food and great drinks including some breakfast martinis and alcoholic coffee. I would highly suggest you give this place a try.

Giant pancakes & the best fried potatoes Didnât have the cadellacs at the cafe thou. Very friendly and laid back atmosphere

We stopped in for breakfast. The service was great and my husband's omelet was "the bomb". My eggs Benedict was just so so.

The cafe is well maintained and the service is prompt and friendly. I had the custard french toast. Very tasty, but with three large slices more than I could eat. There also is a coffee bar if you just want some good coffee and a light snack quickly. My wife really enjoyed the gluten free toast - two types available - white and multi-grain.

I was in Portland for just one day. An old college friend and I decided to spend some time together, and she suggested the Cadillac. It was a blustery Sunday...my absolute favorite kind of day in Oregon. And the place was easy to find. The food was ok, but nothing special. And the service was a bit hurried. But I really liked the garden room, where we had our meal. It's quite a bit quieter than the rest of the place, and it was perfect for 2 old friends to catch up.

I had never ridden Amtrak so I decided to do a daytrip to Portland (from Seattle) yesterday. The train deposited me in Portland 10 minutes early and I immediately seized the moment ...carpe diem as moments like these tend to be the exception than the rule with the federally subsidized rail service...yes..carpe Amtrak ...I celebrated ....and I was rather impressed with the ride. I was jolted back into reality when the return trip was 2 hours late getting into Seattle's King St. station. But so much for the punctuality challenged thing that is Amtrak....it is what happened between arrival and departure in the Rose City that made for such a fine day. I have to say that lunch at the Cadillac Cafe was, flat out, the highlight of my visit to my old hometown. Yes, I was blessed with an outstanding clerk who helped me pick out a jacket at Macy's and the cup of English Breakfast was delightful at the B&N SBucks at Lloyd Center ....but ..yeah when I tallied up everything that happened yesterday..lunch at the Cadillac absolutely made my day. Had a hard time making up my mind....the menu tantalized me with so many nice choices of comfort food. I almost went for the lamb chops over rice ...but in the end it came down to the Original Cadillac Burger and a cup of cream of chicken soup. Generous chunks of chicken with peas and potatoes..a fine soup that I savored with each spoonful. Then the burger made it's entrance in grand fashion taking up nearly every inch of usable space on the plate. ...a guy sized pattty with tomatoe, lettuce, surrounded by toasted sourdough. I had to summon all my burger devouring skills to open my mouth wide enough to chomp down on all its goodness. This long in tooth guy loves big, juicy burgers and this one easily met and was approved instantly by my fussy palate as I heard myself discreetly exclaim Homer Simpson's ......"mmmmm..burgers". So here I am in this classy restaurant right there on NE Broadway..enjoying a great lunch in a former residence with an unforgettable art deco fireplace...a simple, yet elegant, lobby with a sculptured pooch at the front door, with a dining area that had a 30's feel to it all wrapped around the focal point of an old Caddy behind a glass garage door. I asked my server about the rotary phone station in the corner ..if it was operational. She said it still worked advising to be sure to dial 9 to get an outside line. To further enhance this delightful lunch I learned from the lady at the adjacent table that we both graduated from the same Portland high school. We had a nice visit about schooldays, Portlandia, and how much she enjoyed the restaurant as a regular from the neighborhood. The food, the service, and the atmosphere all added up to a great time at the Cadillac Cafe. I liked it and I think you will too.

Just kidding. It is behind glass, and you can't get near it. Anyway, this is a breakfast/lunch only establishment. I may be a bit harsh - I've only visited once, so my first impressions could be wrong. I had Jambalaya, which is almost always a mistake if you're not at a cajun restaurant. This wasn't a hideous mistake - just kind of bland. My wife had a salad and grilled vegetables, and she was satisfied if not ecstatic. One the plus side, the service was very good, the room was pleasant - especially the Garden Room - and everyone was very nice. I will definitely try again for breakfast!

Met the girls for a late breakfast. Nice way to start is with one of their mimosas. Not your typical drink. The pear mimosa is so tasty. Then on to food. Eggs benedict. Yum. Eggs cooked the way I like them, not too runny. Good hollandaise sauce. Service is wonderful. Great staff. Helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our visit!

One, no it's my favorite restaurant to dine in Portland! Every trip here, we must have breakfast at the Cadillac Cafe! I always have their Bacon/Swiss Cheese Omelette! It's just so good like I make at home. Service is always great and friendly. Parking is a hit or miss in this area. Lots of 15, 30 or 60 minutes spots but we need a little longer. Sooner of latter you'll find the parking that you need. We sat very near the Cadillac this time, just great looking at it--memories! Until next time, I highly recommend the Cadillac Cafe to all !

Back about a year later and this place is still a classically great breakfast place. Good coffee, good service and good selection. Compared to dinner of the 'trendy' places in Denver, I'd take the Cadillac any day!

I go to Cadillac for my favorite pancakes in Portland. Fluffy and flavorful, perfect with a side of bacon. Blueberry is best, but the plain hold up perfectly to butter and syrup. My daughter loves the monkey wrench smoothie and the potatoes are her fave.

This restaurant has been on Broadway for decades! And somehow, I've never made it over here for breakfast or lunch. Ample seating. Lots of space between tables in many cases. Diverse clientele and staff. BIG portions. (I got two pieces of their french toast and was full for the rest of the day.) Servers are considerate and professional. This place isn't cheap, though, so be prepared to easily spend 40 bucks for two people for breakfast if you have drinks. I got a smoothie that was totally mediocre and it was a waste of money. Check it out if you haven't already ...

Great food and service. We had breakfast here three times during our week on Portland. The menu is great. We wanted everything. The Hazelnut Custard French toast, the Avocado Benedict and the Huevos Rancheros were all so good we had them a twice. And yes, there is a Cadillac!

Everything I had was great. The latte. Screwdriver. Stroganoff. Mix grill omelet was amazing. Soup of the day was nice, loved the breads. Good service. Radar left us alone yet talked to us when the time was right. Price was perfectly in line. Good job

Portland has any number of great experiential breakfast places. For no surprises, great service and consistently good food, Cadillac is the standard. The food is always good, the staff is always timely, and the place is always loaded with Cadillac stuff. This place could be a seen as a theme restaurant in a huge family of similar places, but it's not. (I could totally see Pontiac Pancakes, Nissan Nummies or for the retirement community crowd Buick Breakfasts) There are a few better places for experimental and higher brow meals, or for fancier decor, but they can't beat the service.

We love coming to the Cadillac for breakfast. The french toast is so good that I find it hard to order anything else. My husband has had probably every omelet on the menu and has been very happy with his food. The wait staff are efficient, but not cloying, and the food arrives quickly, but we never feel rushed. We are early risers so we don't have to contend with the lines that snake out the door on the weekends. If you choose to wait, you will not be disappointed. This place is great!

Love this place! The staff is always friendly and warm.. The food is always fantastic. I always enjoy myself here, and so do my friends. I recommend this place anytime you're in Portland, and if you live here, get in here.

Good food, fun decor, great service - what else is there?! All these factors are consistent at the Cadillac Cafe. Which is why we keep returning. Be prepared to wait, but it is worth it.

30 years spanning two locations. The brunch vittles today in 2019 are the same quality as in 1989. Rare. Just go and experience. Very crowded after 9AM on weekends, just saying.

We met friends here for breakfast and we were not disappointed. Ambiance was great - service was on the slow side but friendly - and the menu had great diversity. The food quality was good and the portions appropriate - nobody left hungry. Prices are a bit high but match the quality so you walk away full and satisfied. This type of place really captures Portland!

was staying at a air b&b in Portland went walking in the morning for some chow came up on this cafe and decided to check it out had a typical grand slam breakfast and it was great the staff was rely helpful recommended what to have will visit again Broadway is a pretty nice walk lots of potluck stores

Whatever you do, donât miss the potatoes. They are excellent. The other food is very good, but the Cadillac potatoâs were a standout.

We went to this cafe on the way out of Portland after a couple of daysâ vacation. While the service started off slowly (it may have been a newer server), it picked up after they realized their delay and we were well taken care of. We both had a two egg breakfast. They gave us a blueberry loaf to share. Pretty good food overall! The bacon was delicious and the potatoes were yummy with the organic Portland company ketchup.

I always try to visit this restaurant for a memorable breakfast when I'm in Portland. Be sure to check their hours before going. Plan to wait in line around 20-minutes for one of the best meals in town. At my last visit, I had the Southern Catfish, served over Collard Greens, with Cheesy Grits and eggs. Of course, they offer deluxe omelettes and cakes if you're not so adventurous. The wait staff is outstanding, paying attention to the smallest of details. The food is always great.

Kind of a quirky place but the food was amazing! We had a group of 6, and we were sat quickly and we all enjoyed our brunch. Best bacon ever!

Stopped in while doing an apartment remodel. Was underdressed but nobody cared. Wait staff was welcoming and professional. We were seated right away and in front of the eponymous and gorgeous, dusty rose, 1950âs convertible Cadillac. Bloody Mary had pickled asparagus spears, fresh sliced lemon and stuffed olives for garnish. Food was brought promptly and was hot and delicious. Great potatoes! Gluten free options are available and much appreciated. Really hit the spot and carried me through an afternoon of rock laying, no problem!

Always good food. Huge seating area, so you don't wait too long when it's busy. Good wait staff. We've been pleased with our breakfasts here.

While staying with friends, we were taken to one of their favorite breakfast spots, Cadillac Cafe. It sounded like many of the customers were regulars and chatted with the owner, who checked in regularly with customers . The restaurant reminded me a bit of a Hard Rock with the Cadillac displayed in the middle of the dining areea. The portions were ample and delicious. I chose an omelet and my husband had pancakes. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I would gladly return if the opportunity arose. The service was very good.

Love the classic diner feel in a trendy part of town. Good home cooked food, friendly service and good coffee. My dietary needs made my order complicated, but the waiter had no issues with it and everything came as asked.

If you are looking for early morning breakfast on the weekend in PDX, this is a great choice. The decor is nouveau art deco with a fireplace in the garden room. The staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is varied-omelets, eggs and bacon, french toast. If you're looking for mimosas or a tap, et cetera (we weren't ), this is also a good choice. We arrived early and watched the place fill up.

Breakfast has some creative choices I had old fashion hash with sausage, potatoes, bacon and scramble eggs, yummy. My friend had catfish filets with over easy eggs, very interesting and tasty choice. I recommend Cadillac cafe

I like to look at a pink Cadillac while I eat, who doesn't? But the real star here is the food, American classics made with quality ingredients and more than a little flair without being trendy or trying to be "clever" never a good idea with food. Recommended.

Fantastic local restaurant. A must during your trip to Portland. Will go here again when I a back. Service was very friendly!

The menu items were varied and enticing, if a little pricey. I was excited to try the Cadillac Cafe on the recommendation of friends. However, the salmon was overcooked and the hash browns had little flavor. I'm allergic to eggs, so asked that they not be served and was not offered any substitution or discount on the meal price. The only tasty item on my plate was a spinach, onion and bacon side. Thankfully it was flavorful and moist enough to help offset the dry salmon. The service was amazingly indifferent, as well. There was no spark to any interaction with our table. The server didn't check on us later, even with fewer than a half dozen tables of diners. With all of breakfast and other dining opportunities in NE Portland, I will probably not return.

The Cadillac Cafe has THE BEST Hazelnut Custard French Toast. I am addicted. My son loves their biscuits and gravy. They have it on special occasions. REQUEST - BISCUITS AND GRAVY permanently on your daily menu please. The quality of their ingredients keeps patrons coming back, from near and far.

We enjoyed a Greek salad and a Cobb salad, as well as clam chowder. The chowder was very good, and both salads were very fresh, but also very ordinary. The service was good, but in a city with such extraordinary restaurants there was just nothing that would bring us back.

We had lunch yesterday afternoon at Cadillac Café we came in at 2 PM the restaurant was empty. My lunch and Trey was there Cadillac burger and potatoes. Cadillac Café is famous in Portland for their potato however they've changed to a season and mushy potato. Other changes was the burger came with grated cheese not a slice of cheese. I very much miss the old Cadillac cafe.

Now I don't like those eggs, bacon and potato breakfasts. Never did like eggs so a good breakfast is a meal that subjugates or eliminates eggs. A restaurant that kick starts your day. They have it figured out here. I ordered their breakfast burrito and got a large burrito , hid the eggs and really good and filling.

I have been coming to the Cadillac Cafe for years. One thing I know, is that it was always very busy for lunch. So why would you almost completely wipe out a Five Star Menu for the new one? Makes no sense but it wont matter because I wont be back. Lame.

We have had breakfast here numerous times over the last 10 years because of its convenient location. I was very happy this time to finally have coffee quality that I would expect in a Portland breakfast place. I continue to find the menu items a little too much Howard Johnson and not enough Portland. It is a good place if you like sweet and gooey. However the ambiance is nice, especially for children and the service is good.

We loved Sunday brunch here! The service was exceptional. We were seated quickly considering it was Sunday brunch time. Our food came out quickly and was delicious! Definitely a place to check out if you're on Portland!

Hubby and I can say we've never had a bad meal here..this is our 'go-to' spot whenever we're on the east side of town. We've brought several friends and relatives here over the years and they absolutely love the food and atmosphere. Staff is great and service is timely. You won't regret stopping here!

This is not your ordinary breakfast/lunch dining experience. The menu was original and varied. I loved my cornmeal fried catfish and egg breakfast! My friend loved her stuffed french toast! The cadillac potatoes are Not to be missed! The bacon was large and thick sliced, also not to be missed! If I lived in Portland, I would want to eat here every day!

From the friendly greeting hostess to the nice waitress, this place is a keeper. Had the Classic Cobb salad with gorgonzola dressing and it was terrific. Service was prompt.

The Cadillac is special. It's a throwback to the old days of neighborhood diners-- there are regulars who come in for their meal, or maybe just a cup of coffee and a visit. There are the red-hat ladies who have their semi-regular meetings (?) here. Young couples for an affordable big meal of the day make up a serious segment of the clientele. Business folks, retired folks, and anybody else might stop by. Staff is friendly, experienced, and doesn't rush you. The coffee keeps coming as long as you want it. The furniture is comfortable and the people are comfortable. Nothing is too fancy, but everything is clean and easy. There's a nice, homey feeling here. And then, the food: plan to be hungry when you get here! In addition to a terrific menu, the portions are definitely generous... and tasty. I've eaten here several times, both before and after the Covid pandemic hit Portland, and there has been no sign of change in the excellent quality and quantity of the food, the service, and the general good feeling of the Cadillac Café. An extra bonus here comes when you spot the reason for the Cafe's name: parked in a special spot inside the restaurant, on display for everyone to see, is a wonderful old 1960-something (or is it 1950-something?) pink Cadillac, complete with fins! I haven't seen anyone actually get into it-- I think that might be a little tacky-- but it I've sure seen a lot of photos taken. The Cadillac isn't fancy, but it's fun, it's friendly, and it has lots of good food. It's a winner in this neighborhood!

Went on a Sunday around noon and was pleased to find no line! This menu is great for gf food options and dairy alternatives. I had the fried catfish and they subbed eggs for fruit. I was pretty impressed. Our waiter wasn't super attentive but all in all it was great!

Prompt, courteous service; good value (I had the veggie cheese omelet with potatoes and toast for $11.75); one of the best Bloody Mary cocktails I've ever had!

Absolutely great decor and setup with very helpful and pleasant staff. Food was brilliant and cheap with great service. A must visit more often kind of place.

I had an appointment on the east side, saw the sign, and popped in for breakfast. It was a Tuesday, late morning, and there were plenty of available tables. Looks like a neighborhood favorite. I sat at the counter. Very friendly service. I had the basic breakfast. The fried eggs were good, the (link) Apple sausage was barely warm, the biscuit was as hard as a rock, the potatoes were very good, the coffee was fine. This place makes no pretensions, which is a novelty for the Portland food scene. Good place for simple food, good place for the kids. My bill was 13.50 plus tip. Exotic, it is not

The room is spotless, bright, and nicely arranged. (I did ask if I could eat in the Caddy, but they looked at me as if to say, "you're only the 47th person to ask today.") Big, big portions, with lots of potatoes. Really, an amazingly large portion of potatoes. Great baked bread of the week. My only suggestion is the need for healthier options, and some dishes with smaller portions.

I've been to Cadillac Cafe for breakfast (several times) and lunch (a couple of times). My last visit was for breakfast on a visit to Portland last week. The experience was similar to in the past, though I have to admit the cornmeal-fried catfish wasn't as good as I had had on a previous visit. It seemed to be more like flour-breaded fish with less of the crunchy granularity imparted by cornmeal that I had experienced in previous iterations. I wonder if the kitchen is using a more finely-milled meal these days, which would rob the dish of its character? Regardless, it's a minor disappointment. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their mea and, there was plenty of food to go around (including a take-home box; a real treat for someone from France where such things are nearly unheard-of). When it comes to breakfast, this is a well-oiled machine that fires on all cylinders (enough auto imagery?). Service is polite, friendly, and prompt while not being intrusive; the selection of options is large; the food quality is good; and the price (in my opinion) is reasonable given all of the above. While not a perfect choice, it's a very good choice that is highly unlikely to disappoint. Recommended.

I used to frequent the Cadillac when it was at its old location, eight blocks or so away on Broadway. Three women friends and I were spending a Girl's night out in Portland and we decided to try the Caddie's new locale. Service was perfect (we only had to wait 25 min for a table...I recall hour long waits at the former venue)...food was perfectly prepared and the amounts were plentiful. We all enjoyed our meals and are anxious to return.

We dropped in for an early lunch. As soon as we were seated comfortably, the drinks order was taken, and when they were delivered, the food order was taken. The Cobb salad was fresh and very large. The cod and chips were disappointing. While the chips were excellent, one piece of cod was very rubbery and the second piece was just average. The ubiquitous sauce bottles appeared. Two drinks, an Arnold Palmer and Negroni were excellent, as was the attentive service. Somewhat a âcurateâs eggâ then.

If there was an option to give zero stars I would. Iâve never been treated so poorly by a host. It was rainy, and parking was very limited, so I dropped my 63 year old mother off at the door to put our name in while I went and found a spot to park. The host refused to seat her until I arrived. When I arrived, the host proceeded to continue to seat other two party groups that had arrived after us. Iâm truly appalled at how callous this host was. I canât even rate the food because my mom and I promptly left after this discourteous behavior. I will never go to Cadillac Cafe again, and will tell others of this awful experience. You are NOT Screen Door, Cadillac Cafe.

A bit off the main drag in East Portland, not far from the Lloyd Center, been serving very good variety of well prepared interesting breakfast food for nearly three decades. Breakfast available till closing (mid afternoon). A smaller lunch menu also available after 11. They do take reservations. Named for a pink Cadillac perched intact on a platform at end of the dining room. Open kitchen interesting to watch.

Great spot for "power breakfast meetings" since the space is quiet, the service is unobtrusive and the coffee is plentiful. Nothing really innovative-- standard waffles, omelets, pancakes but done nicely and fine.

Hazelnut Custard French toast. Just order it and be wowed off your seat. Server with choice of egg or meat. I had the best thick sliced bacon ever served at a restaurant. The French toast was big, thick and "custardy", just like the title says. It was topped with a generous amount of chopped hazelnuts. The service was top notch! I wish I could go back but it's a few thousand miles away.

We are regular patrons to this restaurant. Tip: if you're flexible and eating on your own or in a couple, check out the bar for breakfast. There is often a wait on the weekends because it is so popular. Nonetheless, it is worth waiting for the food. The specials are delicious and nice treat. Bunkhouse Vittles if my absolute favorite (standard menu). Service, choice and excellent quality is the same as sitting at the bar or a regular table. Enjoy!

I went to Cadillac Cafe on a Saturday for lunch and it was very busy (as it should be). Service was very good and I got my food promptly. I ordered the very berry french toast which is their custard filled french toast with strawberries and blueberries on top. Absolutely delicious. The location of the restaurant is easy to get to and convenient walking distance from the Lloyd Center. Reasonable prices.

All 5 of us ordered different dishes and we all gave them a blue ribbons. Our server was great as was the ambience and food.

We had breakfast on a Saturday mid-morning. I ordered off the special menu, Chicken gravy & biscuits, eggs over medium. This dish was very good. They were busy that day but, we still had good service (coffee was a little slow). The prices are average $9 to $13 per entree. The restaurant is family friendly so bring babies to grand parents. I would eat here again!

We love coming to Cadillac Cafe for breakfast. Eggs are fluffy. Omelets and eggs Benedict are delicious. Wonderful bacon and you canât skip the custard French toast. Try the rosemary Bloody Mary. You wonât regret it!

I was surprised this place was so good. The service was great, not too hurried but attentive. You can take your dog inside which was a treat. I loved this place. Good menu and excellent for brunch. Would go back in a heartbeat. Great little village to explore also.

Mixed feelings in our group. For two of us the food was spot on and the other two thought that the food was so-so. Spot On -Eggs Mazatlan -Hazelnut French Custard Toast So-So -Tex-Mex Breakfast Burrito -Donut glazed bacon stuffed pancakes (A special of the day)

We visited for breakfast on a Sunday morning, we got there right before the rush! Our server waited on us promptly and kept our coffee filled while our food was prepared. The food was served hot and the presentation was beautiful. I had eggs, chicken sausage and french toast. It was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is in a wonderful neighborhood with cute shops to browse in after enjoying your meal at Cadillac Cafe.

Portland is known as a foodie town. The Cadillac Cafe is conveniently located in the heart of the Broadway business district in North East Portland. There is a large menu. Breakfast is served all day. Quality, fresh ingredients and fast friendly service. Enjoy a window seat, the atrium, featuring skylights or sit near the life size pink Cadillac. I enjoyed a grass fed, organic beef burger and strong coffee. There is a large portion of elderly that frequent the restaurant. Don't be fooled by the lack of hipsters. This is where grandma goes to get home cooking.

Friends getting together for a breakfast... where to go that is not a long drive. Check TA for east side places and there are some, but not as many as downtown with its associated difficulties with parking a car - no I don't ride a bicycle. Cadillac Cafe was the one we chose, and prepared ourselves for a wait. Our visit was on a Tuesday morning, so surprisingly, we found a parking place almost in front of the building, and were immediately seated. If you have any appreciation for old Cadillac convertibles you will enjoy seeing the one they have lovingly restored and put on display. It is really a gorgeous car and the restoration is perfect. We had a very attentive server "Rich" who magically appeared with more coffee whenever a cup approached empty. I had the house special French Toast which was very good, however, the descriptions of it had me thinking it would be a little better than it was. Just that dish was very filling as the pieces are thick and large sized. Others at the table enjoyed their selections as well. Because of the cement floor and hard surface walls and ceiling, noise can be a problem if the place is full. It was distracting on our visit with about 70% of the place filled with diners.

I thought the atmosphere was great...we sat at a little table in front of the fireplace...cozy and comfortable setting. It was pretty cool that they actually have a real Cadillac inside the cafe. My husband and I just had scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and toast...it was good. Our friends had crepes and fried chicken and eggs...they thought it was the best breakfast theyâve ever had and went back every morning we were there. I thought the coffee was good I had a few cups. The service was excellent. It seemed like a pretty popular place.

I went to the Cadillac Cafe in order to try something new. They have a pink Cadillac parked in the restaurant. I ordered the banana caramel pancakes with scrambled egg and some delicious ham. The ham was heavenly. The scrambled egg was cooked properly, and the banana caramel pancakes were decadent and filling. The service was fine and the restaurant seemed very clean. All in all, I enjoyed my visit to the Cadillac cafe.

Stopped into this cafe on Sunday. Bryan was our server and he was incredible. Really. Very honest gentleman with a sense of humor as well. Breakfast was really good. I had a scrambler and my company had the custard grench toast. Both delicious. I would certainly go again.

I have been eating here for over 10 years and I drive across town for the catfish and eggs ... I was craving my favorite entree today so I stopped in to eat ... I first noticed the menu looked different which surprised me then noticed my favorite catfish was no longer on the menu ;( The server quickly pointed it out as a special for today ... I ordered and waited anticipating the way my breakfast was going to taste ... I was very sad upon it arrival the Cajun seasoning was no more along with the crispy crunch of the breading they used to prepare it in ... In front of me sat a flavorless piece of catfish and some over cooked poached eggs ... I took about 6 bites asked for my bill tipped my server and left ... I won't be back ....

The Cadillac offers a great omelette or eggs benefit menu. They are known for their "breakfast bread" which I would call coffee cake. We are not sweets people so I can't speak to that but I do love their omelette.

Beautiful morning in Portland, spent leisurely enjoying good food in this charming spot. A little noisy (saturday before mothers day) but spacious and sumptuous decor. The chicken apple sausage is a specialty but was nothing special. However the Hazelnut french custard toast was heaven, even if you can't remember the last time you wanted french toast. Not too heavy, but tasty and beautifully prepared. Skip the pear mimosa if you think of it - the bottom of the glass ended up to be all pureed pear that was just a bit too much

I rated 5 stars as it is hard to beat breakfast here. We went for lunch and was very good. Entrees were hamburger and Rueben sandwich (excellent), Cobb salad (no complaints). My 91-year old aunt said the blueberry milkshake was one of the best ever. Service very good. I highly recommend going here anytime.

I make it a point to eat here one a week. Never a let down. The best Club Sandwich in all of the Northwest! And Im not kidding about that. The Chefs put together some amazing food. The Cadillac Cafe makes all the salad dressings in house (the basil vignette is excellent). Fresh greens and great mix. I work across the street from the Cadillac Cafe and they are busy from open to close. Once you eat there you will know why. Really great salads, burgers, sandwiches, soups, AND breakfast! The employees are great! I can not say enough about this restaurant and will always be back.

Found ourselves on east side of Portland mid day and decided to stop by the Cadillac cafe for lunch. This had been on my wife's list to try, but I had no idea. Mid week lunch expected wait, but none. We were welcomed to our table almost immediately. Friendly staff and great service. They serve breakfast all day, so we both decided on a breakfast meal. I had the Sonora omelet and it was very good. Both of us enjoyed the meal. What can I say? Good food, great service, average price. Give it a try!

I've been here a number of times for breakfast. On this last visit the menu seemed to have changed (granola pancakes, did I just not see them?) but it is still quite varied. My companion had the pancakes which were light and fluffy but...missing something. Hard to explain but I've had tastier. I had an omelette, the name of it escapes me, but it had fresh ingredients of cheese, tomato and spinach cooked just right, the eggs weren't over cooked. My meal came with toast and potatoes. The potatoes had a but more crunch than I liked but my husband ate them all. Excellent coffee.
My Favorite Breakfast/Brunch in Portland
I've been coming here for about 10yrs and I have never had anything I didn't like - or love actually. Their hazelnut custard French toast is to die for. Lately I haven't been able to get far away from the steak & eggs - always grilled to perfection. I've always found the service to be excellent. The drinks are yummy and they often have a great "fresh sheet". Yesterday it was Easter Bunny crepes and a smoked salmon quiche. One year they had red, white and blue crepes (or pancakes) - strawberries & blueberries - for 4th of July. I hope this place continues to survive in Portland for years to come!
