Great for breakfast in downtown

By Chris |

Well run cafe (which can get busy later in the morning). We had breakfast a few times during our stay and everything we ordered was very enoyable.

Loved it!

By SimplyMe2014 |

The restaurant was quite quaint with a nice feel. I enjoyed the ambiance and food. I ordered the eggs benedict with ham and it was simply delicious! The presentation was inviting needless to say I dug in fast. When I return to Miami this restaurant is on my list.

Price for money????

By Luigi A |

I had breakfast with my friends here on Dec 30. Two pancakes, two Benedict turkey, orange juices: total $120 - gratuity included (15%). Way too much for a medium quality breakfast. Service is excellent, though, but the quality of the meal is really average.

Nice location in downtown

By gholzer22767 |

Nice location with a lot of different drinks including coffee and tea specialities. Delicious sweet and salty food - unfortunately a lot was sold out the afternoon we came there. Prices are very different for some items - from “too high” down to “really fair”.

Very delicious and sweet; but also has its price

By Jinny |

This cafe is really very cute. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. Food absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, however, I must also say it was by far our most expensive breakfast. We had 2 coffees a smoothie; Acai Bowl and eggs Benedict, for that we paid over 70€, therefore also a point deduction

My experience at Café Bastille

By Elena Víquez |

I went for breakfast with my family and we all really liked the food and the service was excellent. Super recommended. You have to go early because it gets very crowded and there is a waiting list.

Great place with friendly people!

By Sheri L |

We live in Key West and drove up to Miami for the day. When we arrived in downtown we were hungry so we parked and started walking. Mimi (hoped I spelled right :-)) was the hostess and told us we would not regret waiting to eat there. In less than 10 mins she had us seated and our waiter Ihab was taking our order. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly. Would definitely eat there again!

Friday night dinner

By Skipjacksailor |

Three adults and a 3 year old on a Friday night in downtown Miami. An absolutely magnificent classic french dinner. The three of us shared a steak frites (skirt steak) and a filet mignon. The two steaks were done medium rare as ordered and were both perfectly done. The skirt steak was rich with the right amount of fat and served with a bleu cheese sauce and a side of au gratin potatoes. The au gratin was not overcooked—the potato was just right—done but still had consistency. The steak frites—a buttery filet mignon with frites done crispy but still recognizable as potato and served with green beans and au poive flavored evenly and not too bitterly. The three year old was treated as a customer and had an enjoyable tome when our hostess brought him a toy car to entertain him. Dessert was a wonderful lightly sweet fresh raspberry tart served with very nice quality ice cream an a good espresso accompaniment. All in all a fantastic meal in a quiet bistro setting. Try it—you’ll be enchanted.

If you don’t mind the high price then you won’t be disappointed as the food was excellent

By Athena Bailey Cheung |

This must be the most expensive breakfast I’ve ever had! £82 for two latte, one tea, cube croissants and two breakfasts. The food was excellent so if you don’t mind the high price then I highly recommend coming here. I didn’t like the density of the crème brûlée cube croissant it was too hard outside but that was just my opinion. Mainly seating outside although inside was nice too.

Watch out for the dishonesty

By Mark |

The food was great and the service was good. However, when I ask for the bill, at the end of our breakfast, the waitress brought a portable credit card machine to use for payment and told me it's "$56" which seemed high for a breakfast for two adults and a child. So, I asked for the bill, which she never gave me, and realized she included 18%. So, I asked her if the bill included the tip, she said "no" "it's a surcharge." So, I asked her a surcharge for what? She said "we share it" amongst waiters/waitresses. In other words, she (or the restaurant) took the liberty to include an 18% tip, and wanted another 15% to 20% on top of it, which is dishonest. Had I not asked for the details of the bill, she would have ended up with a 33% to 38% tip. THAT IS STEALLING!!! How many customers were ripped off by such tactic?

Great Find in Downtown Miami

By linsbvi |

We were looking for a restaurant for dinner before a show at the James L. Knight Center and this was a great find. Excellent French food, nice atmosphere, great service, abundant portions and very reasonable prices.

not impressed

By giomar54 |

Eggs Benedictine cold, good looking hollandaise but needed a citrus tone ,soggy brioche ordered an orange juice never received ,tip already included deceiving form of payment tricking you to put more tip ,not nice not honest quite annoying

Amazing!!!!!

A Little Bit of Mediterranean France

By Thomas V |

Very cute storefront restaurant, very similar to what one finds in France. We felt as though we had stepped into Marseilles or St. Tropez with the authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Nice wine list. Genuinely friendly service. A real gem.

NEVER Again!

By Tarell M |

The sad reality is the food & service staff here are really good but the treatment from the owner/GM is HORRIBLE! Waited 30 mins for a table today (we were originally 4 but one of our friends got sick while waiting & had to leave) hostesses sat us down 3 people at a booth that fit 3-4 people. Server took our drink order & was returning with our drinks when the disgustingly rude poor excuse of a GM approached our table & said we had to move tables because the table was for 4 people not 3. Trying to be accommodating, we got up & followed him outside to a DEUCE table where we were supposed to fit 3 grown men. Needless to say we left & will NEVER come back. The GM that walks around in a pink suit is RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL & SEWER GARBAGE to say the least. Asking guests to move while they are already sitting down is extremely rude especially after the hostesses was made aware we were 3 people & no longer 4 & sat us at the table. Not to mention that he yells at his host staff for any & every mistake. Shame. On. You! You are an embarrassment to the restaurant industry. SHAME!

Great breakfast

By Dee |

We've always ordered breakfast there and pick it up. Today we've decided to eat in. The service was as excellent as the food.I highly recommended that restaurant

Breakfast

By Russ H |

My wife and I ate breakfast here over a weekend prior to leaving on a cruise. It was on the recommended list of the nearby hotel where we were staying, the JW Marriott. We were very pleased, so much so, that we ate breakfast here 2 days in a row. We arrived right at opening at 8:00AM both mornings, were promptly seated and offered coffee. Though it is not shown on the website they have a nice breakfast menu, it was very reasonably priced, and was served quickly. A nice place for an early morning breakfast if you are in that part of downtown Miami. Would definitely go there again if we happen to travel to that area.

Rude manager, terrible service, worst experience ever.

By Fran |

Worst restaurant experience ever.. I have never waited so long for food. Our plates arrived an hour after we ordered and just because we called the manager to see what was going on, if not it would have been more. He was very rude and barely gave us an apology. The server also had a terrible attitude and gave us the worst service. Would never come her again. Loud, small and crowded place with few staff to take care of customers.

Excellent service and delicious

By jperezi |

Excellent service and delicious food. Eggs Benedict are espectacular and the omelettes are also great!

Great place to eat

By Adrien M |

Came to have breakfast on our first day in Miami, came back to have dîner the day after! Great food and great service!

Used to be good

By dalia c |

The place is nice but the waiters not,we were sitting for 15 min and i had to call a waiter because they were passing near me like we didn existed. They were slow and the food wasnt the best either. When the 20 % of the tip is included like mandatory i espect much better. Will not recommend it.

Awesome Food so so service

By Arch to the Coast |

The food was great! Service was good. We had lapse where we had to wait and that’s what gave this a 4. The DJ was cool a kept everything up beat.

The opportunity for a Authentic meal

By badrax |

The opportunity for a Authentic experience of the local cuisine Not a tourist trap Happy to experience

Not French, overpriced, terrible bakery, rude owners.

By Alexandra P |

Service was terrible, they were rude to me and treated me and my family like we were worthless. They made us wait more than an hour, didn't give us the a table inside and offered nothing good in return. The food was very expensive and was not even that good. Coffee was terrible. The pain au chocolat and the croissants were over inflated and completely empty on the inside. This is not French bakery! Don't believe the "from paris to miami" slogan, these people have never been to France and don't even know what a croissant looks like! The only descent thing they have is the smoothies, which are overpriced anyway. Never going back!

Delicious!

By emzb91 |

I was staying in the area for work and stumbled across this lovely restaurant! Food is amazing and staff couldn’t have been more helpful!

A must Misti!

By Peter R |

Absolutely superb service, Food and ambiance! We struggle to find a good breakfast in down Miami! Not anymore! Staff were engaging and charming, many thanks!

Great branch in miami

By M A |

This café is amizing for brunch! We tried the Benedict eggs, some of their freshly baked pastries, and the chicken dish — and everything was absolutely delicious.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Rafe W |

This is by far the most pleasant dining experience I've ever had!!! Jewels and Jessie were our servers. They went above & beyond to ensure that we had a delightful brunch and our needs were fulfilled.

Delicious breakfasts

By PeterG022 |

We stumbled on this place by fluke and very glad we did. The breakfasts were amazing, service excellent and coffee good. We would return here no hesitation. The eggs benedict was plentiful and very tasty.

Awesome breakfast

By RoyPaulz |

We had Omelette, Crepes, waffles, and they have an excellent spread for the breakfast. The place is small n has inside n outside seating. It's quite a busy restaurant n may have to wait a little.

Creative and high end traditional dishes

By dmejias |

Great food and service! All options looked delicious and the plates we had were amazing. Strongly recommend the creme brûlée cube, pistachio pancakes, and french breakfast burrito. Our server, Gabi, was very friendly and attentive and made us feel like eating gourmet right at home.

Love it this cozy gem

By MirelCrz |

Benedict eggs are heaven also the waffles. Love the location. Small place but cozy. If you are in Miami you have to visit this gem. I recommend it to all the person who go to Miami. I went on October 2019 and I want to repeat lol.

Fantastic! Excellent service.

By K Dellota |

Fantastic! Multiple different and unique Benedict’s. The poach on the egg was perfect, something I haven’t seen in a long time. Service was attentive and I was really impressed with this small restaurant. Definitely recommend stopping in for breakfast.

Superb!

By Geraldo |

Amazing menu choices, delicious food, friendly and helpful service. We couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended for breakfast or brunch.

Very good 👍

By Sar C |

Breakfast on top. Chocolate breads are delicious and very large. Extra milk chocolate and very beautiful. The place is nicely decorated and quiet. The staff is efficient.

Great (and popular) cafe with good service

By Lankanabroad |

When there twice during our stay in downtown Miami - had to queue/ wait both times (10-15 mins) but that’s well worth it for the fare and attentive service.

Bon Jour!

By Maria C |

We were looking for a breakfast/brunch cafe near our hotel and stumbled upon this jewel. Although small it did not feel cramped and resembled a small cafe in Paris. The service is extremely efficient, the waitstaff friendly but the star is the food. Fresh ingredients and technique true to the french tradition. We ordered eggs Benedict with sauteed spinach, country potatoes and fresh fruit in addition my partner ordered the Parisian Omelette with mushrooms, onion and ham with country potatoes. The eggs were fluffy and garnished with green onion. The cappuccino was perfectly prepared with the right amount of foam and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. They also will offer sparkling or mineral water and even though there is a small surcharge it is worth it. It is on the expensive side but worth every penny.

Yummy Breakfast

By rjk857 |

What a great little Cafe. The place was very busy. We were lucky and got a seat without a wait. The food and service was great. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but not much outdoors. A satisfying breakfast that lasted well past lunch time. Pricing seemed reasonable..

Delicious food and good service!

By Fede0222 |

Today I went and everything is too delicious. I recommend coming here and to the one located in fort lauderdale. The service is wonderful and the food is the same!

Yessssssssss

By Kayla |

I decided to go savory with a Cajun Shrimp Benedict with tomato and avocado laid atop an open-faced croissant! The fluffy croissant foundation of the benedict was wayyy better than the traditional heavy English muffin. I will forever recommend a croissant instead of an English Muffin. The shrimp was well seasoned. I cannot complain about it at all. By the way, when I say breakfast potatoes – this is what I want! Crispy fresh potato nuggets. Keep the soggy potatoes away from me! ✌️? The vibes also swayed me to go sweet with a Strawberry, Banana & Nutella crêpe. The vibes always wins. ? I don’t regret it! It was a perfect crepe.I enjoyed everything. The decor, the service, the flavvvvvvas! You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t in Paris for 45 mins. The spot filled up quickly and was crowded by the time we paid our bill. It appears that they have a DJ pull up for weekend brunches too! You will be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t go check them out!

Excellent place for breakfast

By Alena A |

Breakfast was perfect there. The menu was expansive and truly French. Quick and attentive service - our waiter was always around though they were busy.

Food

By melz f |

Great service juelz food was great drinks came fast and the manager checking up on us was top service!

Though we were in Paris not Miami

By AlanwManchester_UK |

In the past we have only had coffee at this café so decided to give it a try for dinner and we were not disappointed. It does have the feel of a small French restaurant but what about the food you may ask. Well it was equally as good as anything I've eaten in Paris. The good test is onion soup and here it was superb. Lots of gooey cheese, soft, but not too soft croûtons and lots of onions -delicious. Amongst our mains we had shrimp linguine, sea-bass and filet mignon all beautifully prepared and tasted delicious. A few glasses of Malbec added to the occasion. Definitely a place we will return to.

Magnifique

By Giancarlo A |

If you need a touch of French in the middle of Miami definitely is the place to go! I came here with my friends and we had a wonderful avocado toast and croque madame made it with love and served with passion! I’ll come back for sure! Thanks to Estelle and Benjamine for the great experience!

I don't get all the high reviews

By pspoker |

It wasn't bad but wasn't great. My friend had the french toast and it was dry and way too sweet. Was supposed to have bananas in it, and only had a couple slices. For a couple slices of bread, some nutella on top drizzled, and a couple slices of banana it should not have been the "specail" for $16. I had the omelet which was plain, and not great by any means for $13. The jelly that came with the bread was literally the same consistency as water. It will not stay on toast just as water won't. Not sure why they serve that. A waste. They also chearge 50 cents a person for water as if not already charging too much for what you get. Next time we eat twice next door at the Eggspot rather than once at each.

Great place to have breakfast in Miami

By Jorge_sainzmx |

Early Saturday morning and the place was packed. I was lucky enough to grab a table inside; they also have tables in the street, and although the cold weather, no place to sit! Menu is extensive and can accommodate any kind of foody: regular, vegetarian or vegan. Let me say that it was outstanding... every side of the spectrum!!! Don't miss it if in Miami, even if it is not close to your hotel...

Disappointing

By jmd1701 |

The menu and atmosphere are inviting but experience was below average. Food was fair - barely warm, eggs seemed pre-prepared. Lots of upcharges (water, 18% service charge on all bills for a routine brunch place in the CBD), service fair.

Great experience

By reyna h |

The meal was exceptional, and the service was outstanding. We had a wonderful experience. I would like to express my gratitude to Alex and Byron for treating us with the utmost respect and professionalism. Their service was truly exceptional.

Love this restaurant

By pcbermudez |

Had brunch at Café Bastille for my cousin and brother’s birthday. Amazing food and top experience with the bottomless mimosas! We shared the nutella french toast which is one of the best I’ve tried and the benedict eggs were amazing!

Perfect for breakfast

By Zeituni |

Perfect croissants, good coffee, quick service, affordable prices. Highly recommend instead of hotel breakfast. Small problem: once, when coming to take away, they asked for tips (?)

Delicious

By Marinesupreme |

I went here with my husband for breakfast and loved it! The atmosphere is lovely and the food is fantastic! The manager Ben came by our table with a friendly smile and great recommendations! I had the french toast with berries and my husband the croque monsieur. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to come back!

A perfect find!

By Hanson |

We have just returned home from 5 days in Miami. We visited Café Bastille every morning we were there. Even though we had a different server each day,the service was still impeccable. Sometimes there was a wait for a table of up to 30 minutes due to the popularity of the Café, but we didn't mind as its definitely worth it. The food is so fresh and made to order with quality ingredients and the coffee is delicious too. Every staff member is so friendly and efficient. The whole team work so well together. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Amazing Eggs Benedict!!

By Cobra5001 |

We stopped here for brunch after finding them on Google maps. As we walked up we saw a DJ in front of the restaurant and the atmosphere seemed really cool from the start. They had a table for us outside and we were immediately seated. We both ordered a “Frenchtastic Benedict”, one Turkey and one Country Ham and Bacon. They also gave us a sample Churro while we were waiting for our meal. It was a delicious addition to have with our coffee. The Benedicts were absolutely amazing!! They out them on a french crossaint which is unique and delectibe. Out server David was great from start to finish and never left us hanging with an empty coffee cup! We both truly enjoyed our meals and look forward to returning when we are in the area. Keep up the great work! 😊

Weird menu good fare

By Carlos R |

An all day breaksfast menu seems odd for the business crowd clientele that frequents this downtown spot. Excellent Moules-Frites, and escargots (all about the butter/garlic partnership). Choice of fillings for the omelettes is a bit suspect as it is a bit Americanized in both size of omelettes and fillings. I give it 4 stars as it is a good lunch option and consistently good.

Delightful and delicious

By CharlotteDayTripper |

This hit right down the line. Excellent service By a delightful French girl who knew the menu very well. Presentation of each dish was beautiful. Coffee and every part of the meal component were delicious. The French toast was a little driy in a couple pieces but everything is still great. The ambience inside is comfortable themed. Worth finding for French bistro.

Place to eat was pricey but delicious, excellent service and the waiter was trilingual.

By KEO |

Service was excellent, specialty drinks were great. We sat outside under heat lamps and were just fine. Food was well portioned but pricy. I liked why we were served but somethings seemed over seasoned. My pancakes were delicious but the grand Mariner was heavy. My husband’s eggs had some sort of seasoning that seemed too much. However that being said the food and service was excellent overall. It wouldn’t keep me from going again and trying other items. I would say go and enjoy

C'est manifique!

By trainernichole |

I stopped here for dinner the night before my cruise, on recommendation of the concierge at my hotel. The atmosphere is cozy, my waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was great.

Beautiful brunch

By LAmom_11 |

Our waiter Michael was so professional and friendly. The food was beautiful, clean, and tasty. The owner/manager came to check on us and took away our empty dishes. The view was amazing.

Bad service The blond girl very slow

By Tats C |

Food is good but everything is super slow the blond girl súper rude Not a good time. She rolled her eyes at me for aking for more honey The table was very sticky

Good food and excellent, friendly,

By Timothy B |

Good food and excellent, friendly, and attentive service. Poor beer selection, and it was not cold. Ok

Lovely breakfast venue in an odd area…

By AdeleRose12 |

Very odd street but great food. Was recommended by a friend we never would have found this place. Great selection and fresh food, would visit again!

The food is PERFECT...the ambience is delightfully French

By Mary T |

I went to the restaurant for both brunch and an early dinner. It was the best french toast I have ever eaten. The filet mignon, frites, salad, and apple tart were perfection. I even liked the rocket salad...I don't typically touch the stuff. If you are staying at a hotel in downtown Miami, i.e. the Epic, Marriott, or Continental, etc. skip the high-priced restaurants, Whole Foods cafeteria, and Bayside. Try this little quiet restaurant. It is reasonably priced. You will enjoy the food and you won't leave hungry. The place is small so be aware of the time when you pop in.

Part of Miami’s great atmosphere

By robert |

Manger à la française! Excellent food, reasonable prices, nice music, eat inside or out, enjoy all this in a pleasant, friendly environment!

Exceptional Brunch!

By Megan M |

This was the BEST place we went to on our entire trip. Crystal, our waitress, was exceptionally kind and very informative about the menu. All her suggestions were incredible. The pastries are as close to Parisian as I have experienced in the States. Drinks are well composed and the juice is fresh. We HIGHLY recommend this exceptional place, sit outside and ask for Crystal- you will not regret it! ❤️

nice french brunch spot @ Bayside Miami

By Jonathan H |

had Sunday brunch indoors @ this smallish NYC like spaced cafe @ Bayside Miami - the tables are tight here but the service and food was quite good, reco the blueberry matcha pancakes if plant based, otherwise full menu - crepes looked amazing, a bit of a wait on Sunday late morn but well worth! Within walking from Intercontinental Miami

Great little spot for Breakfast all day with delicious selections

By HamiltonSq |

The food was great and we were very happy with the service. The weekends are crazy busy but weekdays are much better. The food is fresh and the french toast was excellent.

Great place

BEST BRUNCH!

By Joanne |

This restaurant has seriously the best brunch I've tried! The red velvet pancakes are WOW and also the burger, everything I've tried in this place is amazingly good. The owners are always there and are super welcoming, if you want good food for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. you MUST COME!

Excellent Way to Start a Relaxed Day

By jimjohnmarks |

Recently here for an early breakfast prior to boarding a cruise and were quite happy with what we were served. The coffee is strong without being bitter, the service was attentive and friendly and the decor was pleasant if a bit quirky (the fake plants are out of place, especially against the leaf based wall paper). Ordered the croque monsieur which I thought came with an egg (I wasn't asked if I wanted one or not and the menu indicates it does) but it only came with the salad as it turned out. The salad was wonderfully bright and fresh. Their choice of cheese for the sandwich was sufficiently mild it didn't overwhelm everything else, but the whole thing would have been just that much better with a nice runny egg yolk. Would definitely stop in again if we find ourselves cruising out of Miami.

Absolutely perfect !

By Sacha Amsallem |

I went for a brunch with my friends and was surprised about the quality of food and service too. The new 2 owners are really professional and are bringing a new young french touch to this restaurant. If you come to Miami, don't forget to go there !! I recommend the Oignon soup and the benedict egg ! So Tasty !!!!!

Nice for Brunch,

By Paul Hagan-Rea |

Excellent cafe for brunch and drinks. We queued for 15-20 minutes but it is definitely worth the wait. The staff are friendly and the food tasted great. Lots of options for vegetarians on the menu.

I had the curry chicken Alfredo

By GinaMatt2014 |

I had the curry chicken Alfredo and it was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is very quaint and modern!

Nice ambience and good food

By Dorel R |

Perfect spot for a good breakfast while downtown. Besides the regular menu there’s always daily specials worth trying. We had an avocado toast with poached egg and berries waffles. Toast was perfect, the waffles not that much, but everything was good in general. Nice ambience and excellent service.

Great brunch!

By chneff |

Fantastic brunch! Super friendly service. Perfect poached eggs and bottomless mimosas. This 100 character count is ridiculous

Wonderful, fresh food

By Cherith Campbell-Bell |

Popped in for dinner as it was close to our hotel and open on a Sunday - great find! The cafe/restaurant is beautifully decorated, the food all tasted incredibly fresh, and the service was brilliant. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the neighborhood and looking for good food.

Great place for breakfast

Best breakfast in Miami.

By Melinda H |

My husband and I had a great and tasty breakfast in Bastille cafe. Outdoor table was great, since we been there at 8 am they had available outdoor tables. Everything was fresh and ambiance was great, staff was friendly and accommodating.

Sunday Brunch

By Samantha |

The food was delicious! So many things on the menu I wanted to order. Service was timely and friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating, check to see if they are taking reservations or how long the wait is. They were busy on a Sunday mid-morning. Also, have a second store front that is a grab and good bakery counter.

Great place

By TripJulie |

Excellent, healthy yet comfort food, perfectly served, amazing pancakes ;) Feels good in this place, ran very professionally by a sweet young couple. Came for brunch and went back two days later for dinner. Will undoubtedly come again.

Breakfast is a must do

By CM Manchester |

Advacdo on toast is worth the visit for breakfast. Great coffee friendly greeting on arrival . Good service . Good choice

Great bakery

By Michael S |

Excellent food in downtown café. July 2023 also has the addition of take away bakery + Juice/Coffee. Definitely worth a stop.

New Star Downtown

By Chefmichel52 |

We were welcomed by the new owners. As appetizers we had a beetroot salad, a Cesar salad and a lentil soup. Then we had a filet mignon,(melting in mouth) a salmon with lentils and pasta with shrimps. Sides of gratin dauphinois and french fries. All dishes were excellent. Owner recommended a red Saint Julien 2012. Very good price value. Very friendly and smooth service. Definitely worth the visit downtown.

Too busy!!!

By Thamy G |

I went to their new location in Fort Lauderdale. The place is beautiful, but the waiting time pissed me off. Over two hours for a table for one! Also, when I finally got a table, they wanted to move to another table facing the wall like a grounded kid. Besides, the waitress never came, and I had to order at the counter. The food was very good.

Best breckie ever

By JOHN K |

We dined here twice in the weeks we were in Miami and on both occasions the greeting, food and service were all superb as was the endless coffee, our Nephew lives in Brickel, downtown and took us to several eateries but this was fabulous for breakfast. Cannot praise it highly enough. We had different meals but the croissant topped with smoked salmon avocado and hollandaise was lovely. Sister in law was there on second visit looking for sausages, eggs, bacon so she managed to have the lot. Well done to all

Great breakfast

By Luc V |

Went with my wife for breakfast Good food and big plates Service ok We had the Benedict eggs , very good It is so called French For breakfast it’s more American than European

Perfect Brunch

By Hannah Pigott |

We have been in Miami a week and this place is hands down the best food we have eaten here. Service is great, attentive staff with great advice on what to order. The place is always super busy and has a great vibe. The food is insanely good. So delicious, great quality with a focus on flavour. We loved it so much we ate here on consecutive mornings. Bravo Cafe Bastille.

Great Food, Excellent staff Good prices

By sue pon |

We were there on a Friday morning, which meant that they were not as busy as on the weekends. Out servers Kat and Ashley were very accommodating. I asked for a medium rare burger without the bun. The best thing was that in the restaurant biz turnover is key and even though we stayed for over 3 hours they never rushed us along. the group of us have brunch had not all been together in several years They allowed us time to catch up with our individual lives - that was greatly appreciated.

Fab breakfast

By Scot traveller |

Cafe was recommended for breakfast by our hotel receptionist and it lived up to the recommendation. Good choice of specials on top of the lovely menu available. Great service.

By Alexander Nunez |

Brunch

By Shannon |

On Saturday we waited for a brief 10-15min. Seated inside. Adorable ambiance that reminded me of a place in Italy. We ordered 2 different Eggs Benedict. I wish I took a picture. It was our first time trying this dish and the food and service was outstanding!! The server was so nice. Highly recommend this place.

Delicious find

By penspack |

We were walking in downtown Miami the night before a cruise and we decided to give this restaurant a try. The dinner menu was varied enough that we were both able to find tasty meals. The service was efficient, if not very friendly. The entrees were good sized and all-in-all a good value. Small space but a good atmosphere.

Horrible i had a roach in my burger

By Willie J |

Have you guys ever experienced the roach burger there place is a sweat shop they hire workers who have no papers from other countries and pay them under the table for cheap labor i have seen servers purposely sneeze on a customer food because they didn’t like them be care they have 10 percent included in bill which doesn’t go to servers they re use it to pay the employees place is a dump inside photos attached

A must in Miami

This is my favorite French restaurant in Miami, and I am French. I definitely advise evryone to go there and try the filet mignon. The owners are two young French people, super nice and efficient.

Wow - amazing service and food!

By Puzzlemama |

Randomly picked this restaurant for Saturday brunch. When our Uber pulled up to the restaurant, we noticed the outdoor tables were full. We became concerned that would need to wait for a table after we came from almost 30 minutes away. Thankfully, as a party of 2 we were able to be seated right away inside. We received water quickly and our order was taken after waiting about 5 minutes since they were very busy. We ordered the Avocado Toast, Breakfast Croissant and coffee. It took longer than normal for the coffee to arrive, but it was good. The food arrived shortly after the coffee. The avocado toast was flavorful and they correctly accommodated a special order with no feta. The croissant was also delicious with the bacon jam giving a nice sweet flavor which offset the savory eggs, veggies and avocado. The thing that really stuck out to us was the professionalism of all the staff. Our server Carina was helpful and friendly. We had a different person drop off the coffee who asked if we needed anything, and we had several other people that seemed to be managers ask us if everything was good. They were all very kind for checking in but not in the interrupting kind of way. We will definitely return if we ever return to the area.

One of the best French breakfasts I have ever had

By SportsReporter |

It was raining. The outside temporary roof dripped water on us. Who cares. This place rocks on Sunday morning. Even a supermodel was patiently waiting in a line on the sidewalk to get in. The four of us ordered Paysanne crepes (chicken and Black Forest ham thinly sliced with Gruyere cheese and Dijon mustard in a fried crepe) and Eggs Benedict. Nobody wanted to share. The crepes were perfectly cooked. The Hollandaise sauce was pure velvet on the Benedict. The potatoes were excellent. Everything was outstanding. Highly recommend this place. If you are staying at the Intercontinental it is a five minute walk away.

Breakfast Sandwich + Fries 10/10

By iamjujubites |

Brunch! This place is so cute, love the decor and the seating. I had the the breakfast sandwich with fries. Both were amazing! The bacon jam on the sandwich was top tier. Now it is Miami so my sandwich was $19 and fries were over $9. I would come back and try but now I have a realistic budget. They also have heavenly pistachio spread that is well worth the price. I would come early because this place can get packed quickly.

Highly recommended

Great design, delicious food, nice staff, great price value. I would definitely recommend people to come here to eat

Great breakfast spot

By Tucker509 |

My family and I stayed the night in downtown and we're searching for a place for breakfast. I read a couple reviews of Cafe Bastille and decided to try it out. Reviews did not lie. The coffee was wonderful and some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. You get a lot of food with your breakfast meals. The staff was very polite. Overall it was a great experience.

Delicious brunch in the sun

By aaiimmeess |

My friend and I popped by around midday looking for somewhere nice for brunch. We stumbled across Bastille, and I remembered I had visited on a previous trip to Miami a couple of years ago. Despite it being very busy, we were seated promptly within minutes on an outside table. I decided to order a strawberry matcha (which comes iced). This was really nice, not as strong as most matchas I’ve tried, but tasty nonetheless. I went for the Israeli breakfast - which consisted of eggs (I opted for scrambled), feta cheese, olives, tomatoes, halloumi, avocado and I added a side of smoked salmon. My friend had the crepe burrito which he really enjoyed. Overall, the bill (including tip and tax) came to almost $90. Maybe on the prices side, but the food was really good and filled us up all day. Our server, Ljubisa (I believe was his name from our receipt) was fantastic and really kept an eye on us throughout our time at Bastille. I would definitely come back and will recommend to others coming to Miami.

Best coffee in town. The staff is really good and the food is excellent. I felt like I was in a terrace in Europe. I will be back for sure.

Brunch Munch Devine

By Papa G |

I’m not a huge Crepe fan but theirs are really really good. I slipped in just before the mad rush. My only complaint is their American coffee is dreadful...French Roast it is not...& if it is, they need to add a whole lot more coffee to their brew. I’ve had better “office coffee”! Service was okay considering how busy they were. Bastille is Definitely worth a visit.

Great find!

By jleigh752 |

Truly enjoyed our experience at Cafe Bastille! From the latte to the Eggs Benedict and French toast, everything was delicious. Our server provided suggestions and good service. Would definitely return.

Crepes!

An excellent choice for breakfast. Open brick wall, Edison bulbs strung from the ceiling, chalkboard menus and wonderful servers. Crepes were delish. Benny was perfectly runny. Waffle sweet enough to satisfy any tooth. Must visit in Miami.

Loving this place even in this covid Era and the craziness of spring break. We managed to find this lovely place with so much great ambiance. The food was amazing simple but, yet so gooood the way food should be. Great coffee, good mimosas yummy hot cocoa and wow I will let pictures tell the rest. Little pricey $$$$ all worth it ! Service was really good too so, the prices although it was worth every dollar $$$$

Brunch

By RPai |

Decent place... The platter is very well decorated but there a chance to improve on the taste. Miami is not great for food in general, IMHO. From getting table to getting out, it was 1 and half hour.

Very good!

By Albuva |

The attention from the moment they receive you is cordial and fast, which is appreciated! They serve you immediately, the coffee is good and the menu is extensive with many breakfast options. I personally was looking for a good sweet breakfast option and I found it. Some very tasty pan cakes with blueberries!!!

Awesome for Brunch!

By Chris W |

The food was incredible. I went for brunch and sat outside. The staff were all incredibly friendly! You can tell it’s good because every time you walk by you always see people lined up down the sidewalk to wait for a table. There are a few comments about being “nickeled and dimed” because the restaurant charges for water. I believe they charge $2 for a huge glass bottle of water for the table. While I agree that is a little non-conventional, they advertise it on the menu. If you want a nice relaxing place for brunch that has a friendly vibe, I would recommend giving them a try!

Phenomenal service

By Greg N |

The food is amazing and the service & management of this place exceeds expectation. I definitely recommend a brunch visit if you are in the area!

Amazing Food!!!

Nice breakfast in Cafe Bastille

This is a very nice café, they gave me a table on the street and I enjoyed people watching. The waiter was AJ, he was very friendly and welcoming. He has a great sense of humor. I has a French shakshuka which was very good.

A little bit of Paris in Miami - wonderful restaurant!

By Siobhan S |

We spent 3 days in Miami before our cruise. The concierge in our hotel recommended Cafe Bastille and we were so happy that he did. We both had the gorgeous omelettes every morning. I did not want the chipped potatoes so I had a side salad instead. The fresh orange juice was so good and beautiful coffee. My husband loved the croissants. It’s not cheap but worth it. The food, the wonderful friendly staff, the decor (very Parisian) and the place is spotless including the bathrooms. It was a pleasure to eat here and I would like to compliment the owners. The cushions, the waitresses dresses and cardigans and the serviettes all matched. Green with little daisies on them - the ladies get a different serviette with flowers, the men get plainer ones with a few flowers. The attention to details is magnificent even the photos on the wall of Paris. All of these little things made our visit very pleasant. Congratulations Cafe Bastille.

Sunday Brunch

By PremierVA1 |

Excellent Sunday Brunch. We decided to try brunch here as it was walking distance from our hotel. There was a wait but it was worth it. The menus was diverse and it was hard to choose. I loved the salmon and avocado eggs Benedict. Just awesome

Came here for breakfast.

By Ray SJ |

Came here for breakfast. Great food and very friendly service. I ordered the Paris Omelette and the chocolate French toast and I was very satisfied. The parking available is a little bit of a walk but overall this place is popping.

Delicious breakfast

By s k |

Avocado toast and French toast was fabulous, wish we could have sat outside but it was raining. Staff was excellent. Would definitely go again.

Brunch was a success!

By Cottonelle |

Such a big selection! Where to begin? We decided to go with the Breakfast part of the Brunch menu. I selected Oeufs Benedict. It was poached eggs (obviously) on an open face croissant, hollandaise sauce, breakfast potatoes and fruit. It was delicious and the hollandaise sauce was not too salty. My guest ordered the Gaufre Liegoise Bastille. She loved her homemade waffle, fresh berries and of course eggs and bacon! Both meals arrived hot. Our coffee cups were topped up regularly. This restaurant was very busy and yet we were not rushed once we were finished. A nice touch, our waitress was French! Pleasant and looked after us well!

Cute breakfast spot.

By amy |

Found this great breakfast spot while in Miami. Great breakfast and the rest of the menu looks great. Delicious!! My goodness the food was so good and looked beautiful too!

Excellent food and friendly staff.

By Cassi |

Myself my partner and our friends had been looking for some decent food and coffee in Miami as we had 3 days to spend there before our cruise. I am a huge trip advisor fan and I use it regularly to find the best places for coffee. So guess who got the job of sourcing the good stuff. I found Cafe Bastille as I searched for coffee near us. I have to say the guys absolutely loved it. The coffee was just want we needed. It was amazing. I ordered an omelette, my partner got poached eggs and the other guys got breakfasts. Everything was excellent. The staff are friendly and can’t do enough to help you. When you receive your food the staff leave you alone so I understand why people say they are so slow. But your away on holidays and relaxing so what’s the rush. If you want to eat and not be rushed from the table I would recommend here. Top marks for staff and food ❤️

So good!

By Sarah |

We ate here after getting off our cruise ship. Very good, reminded me of France! The portions were large and tasty. Everyone in our party loved their food. I had an omelette and others had crepes.

Bustling cafe near Intercontinental

By local_critic |

Bustling cafe near Intercontinental hotel with excellent food and service. No shortage of options that are well prepared and ample in portion. I had the Grande Bouffe crepe that was filled with grilled chicken, spinach, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese; my wife had a freshly baked croissant that came with butter and house made jam. The place is clean and well-appointed with a gracious front of the house keeping the constant ebb and flow of patrons moving. Worth a visit anytime I’m back in Miami.

Good soup, bad mussels.

By Morris K |

Quaint French restaurant downtown. Surprisingly few patrons at 8:30 on Saturday. Maybe too early? The good: bread and French onion soup. The bad: mussels with cheese sauce. The OK, steak. The menu was unclear on how mussels were served. It turned out they were dry with a cheesy sauce. Didn't care for them and told server. She indicated that's what menu said and made o offer to replace them, although she gave the people next to me extra wine when they told her they were going to visit her home country. The service was slow and the entrees were not served at the same time. I wanted to like this place but was not impressed. If I had only ordered soup and bread it would have been a good meal.

Incredible Breakfast!

By Gailani Art |

I’ve had the best Eggs Benedict here after reading reviews and the place lives up to its reputation. The eggs are amazing and come with soft croissant & fresh fruits. The place is small but the quality of food is Amazing!

Overpriced and overrated

By Kinesha W |

Tho it’s a nice atmosphere the food is over rated and they literally charge for everything. They charge you for syrup for your pancakes and your Water!!!

Great vibe in the heart of downtown Miami

Nice food but…

By Issy |

I ordered French toast and was told there was none. No biggie but then a few minutes later another table ordered French toast and got it. Also the coffee wasn’t particularly hot. Shame the food was good.

Good breakfast buritto but I prefer the original one with flour tortilla. The waitress was lovely and attentive. The table outside was dirty / dusty but they wiped it when we asked them to.

Great food and fast service

By Love2travelthree |

We had a group of 7 and were seated on a Saturday quickly for breakfast. The food choices were quite varied and all the meals were served quickly and were very tasty. It is a family run place and it ran like clockwork. We will return if we are in the area.

A good place for brunch

By Santiago Martínez |

The service is a little slow but the food is very tasty and sufficient. There was a DJ setting the mood and the Miami açaí drink is DELICIOUS. It was a good experience.

Wonderful Breakfast

Super cute. Tasty brunch spot with a French flair. Ate here with my husband and teenagers and all of our food was delicious. Lots of choices, hard to pick just one. Loved the cute water glasses.

Good place

By coloradostevo |

This is a really good breakfast/brunch spot. We stumbled on it by accident and ended up going back twice. All of us had omelets with crispy potatoes and toast and everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. The prices are on the high side but justified by the food quality, generous portions, friendly staff and pleasant location. Good drip coffee too!

PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE YOU LEAVE

By Linda F |

Please check your receipts before leaving this place. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE YOU LEAVE! I came in here on a Tuesday morning and ordered a cup of tea and a turkey and brie croissant. It came out to over $33 for the 2 items. Now, I know Miami is pricey and I also added a little extra for service, but this caught me off guard. I asked the cashier if that $33 was for only the tea and the croissant, as I thought she might have accidentally double charged something and the cashier immediately replied that it was correct. Granted, I didn't look at the prices before I ordered. I also know that Miami is an expensive city. $33 still seemed high to me so I grabbed the laminated menu that was right by the cash register and I see that the tea was $7 (it was $6 and they charged me an extra $1 for a little oat milk on the side) and the turkey and brie croissant was $14. At this point, I wondered if I ordered the wrong thing but they bring the sandwich to my table. I asked another cashier, who wasn't the one who rang me up, how $7 + $14 with taxes and service fees amounted to $33. This woman double checked and saw that the prior cashier rang in a service charge of 20% and also a service charge of 10%, doubling the service charges. I ordered bakery items so the service charge should have been 10% only. The 2nd cashier offered to correct the charges. I don't really understand how their system worked and I was handed a new receipt for $28. I took a look to be sure that this wasn't a double charge and realized that the croissant rang in at $16, despite it saying $14 on the menu. At this point, I'm honestly annoyed that the bakery overcharged me twice. I'm trying really hard not to believe that there was no malice, but 2 overcharges is a little hard to believe. The entire time, the 2nd cashier kept telling me that there was nothing sneaky going on here and they are honest and things will work out, but I'm having trouble reconciling her protestations of honesty with 2 over charges on 1 transaction. A man came to introduce himself as a manager and asked me how he can fix this, and assuring me that mistakes happen. I couldn't agree more but this 2 mistakes on 1 transaction seems more like a pattern. He asked me how he can fix it and I asked him how he thinks it should be fixed and he kept asking me what I wanted. I just told him a to-go box because this was leaving a bad impression. The 2nd cashier came over again to apologize and offered me a free pastry, which I declined. They are very confused at how the prices in their system didn't match the printed menu price. Truth be told, I am too. I don't know how the 1st cashier charged me double for service charges and didn't even bother to check when I questioned the amount. I don't know how their Toast system overcharged me for a sandwich. Therefore, all I can say is PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!! If mistakes happen and they don't know how their items are priced in their system, please check your receipt! I have the receipts to prove this happened. I am sharing a picture of the sandwich. It was okay. I only ate a quarter of it before getting out of there but I might be biased by the situation.

A Little Gem of a French Restaurant in Downtown Miami

By BarryL333 |

We've visited this little restaurant a few times now, and we are hooked on a crazy but delicious dish they serve: Curry Chicken Alfredo Pasta. It's a fusion of Indian and Italian with a French touch that is simply out of this world: Creamy, spiced to your liking, with a delicious curry and spice blend. Not too heavy (since it's on Penne) with a good portion of Chicken. We've also had the salads and omelettes (yum!) However, it's not your typical cozy French romantic restaurant, but they seem to really care that you leave happy and satisfied. Unfortunately, they don't have a true lunch menu or any lunch specials for us local residents, so we only go there for Dinner, or we would go there even more frequently!

Top breakfast spot in downtown Miami!!!

By PJRibadeneira |

Looking for very good breakfast options in Miami that are not extremely expensive?? This is the place! Whenever you're staying in Miami's dowtown area (JW Marriott Marquis, EPIC, Intercontinental) go and give this place a shot. Their breakfast options were quite tasty, the ambiance was very cozy and prices were very reasonable.

Good food, great service

By Ameena |

Had lunch at Cafe Bastille last week and overall had a nice time! Service is super friendly and food came out quickly. The outdoor seating was nice, especially since the weather was good. Avocado toast was basic but good. Prices are a bit on the high side but nothing too crazy. I'll definitely return if in the area.

I will definitely come back

By Tala N |

Amazing food , everything we ordered was delicious. Jules is an amazing server, it’s worth to wait to get in.

Worst service ever!!!

By Alexis |

Good food but terrible customer service. My first impression is the lady who checks you and she is extremely rude (doesn’t even smile, ever) and fully of attitude. If you don’t enjoy your job, get a new one! They change their rules from day to day. They gave me a mimosa to go one day and refused to do it the next. Extremely rude and unprofessional all around. They need all new staff who can cater to the client who bring you more business.

Thank you Congratulations on your kindness

By Victoria D |

We attended Felicitas, a pleasure! Great food and excellent service. Excellent experience!!! We'll be back soon.

Good good good

By Clara D |

Very nice place and nice. Good food and quality. We ate 3 avocado toast, poached egg, vegetarian omelet, a cappuccino and two smoothies for 130€ 4 stars so only for high prices. Recommended for lunch.

Great Experience!

By ldybug252000 |

I actually dined here twice within a 6 day time span. My fam and a friend went down to Miami for a cruise. My friend and I arrived a few days early to relax. We had brunch here after we had checked into our hotel and unpacked. While its not a budget friendly kind of spot, its not the most expensive either. Service and food was great, we walked in just as they were getting ready close the kitchen but they still took us with a smile. They just mentioned they were closing kitchen soon. The second time we ate here was when we returned from our cruise. We went to the hotel we stayed at prior as i had left my shoes, hoping to pick them up as well as hoping they would store our luggage, but no, it was too busy and we didnt have reservations there that day. We had a reservation in Miami beach, but i didnt want to uber us all over there and come back here. then have to go back... 3 of the group were flying out after 2pm, but we wanted to have brunch together. We called an uber and he wouldnt take us all and our luggage to the restaraunt, didnt want to scruff his vehicle up with luggage so 2 people actually walked and 3 of us and the luggage rode there. We got there asked if we could get in and i explained there were 5 of us and we each had luggage, so we could sit outside if it was easier and they said they would actually hold it for us and we could sit inside. Once the other 2 people made it, as they had a 10 minute walk, they started loading our luggage in a room, and we sat in the cooled restaurant and ate. Again, service was great food was as well. I did have to ask about my daughters parfait or something, as it was taking a minute and i just wanted to be sure it wasnt missed. But there is a cafe a few doors down that they get it from so there was just a delay. but yes, i would suggest going here for brunch for sure as well as i will return.

Anniversary Special

By bdcoles |

For our sixth anniversary, we were in Miami for only one night so it had to be a special place. My wife’s favorite dish is escargot and my favorite French dish is genuine French onion soup with a side of French bread and olive oil. We were staying at a five-star hotel nearby and made the short walk to this very cozy café. The food and the service was excellent and we would love to return here again.

Great breakfast spot with nice atmosphere

By Dave080315 |

This was a great place, I went there 3 times on my trip. Discovered it by accident while walking around, noticed all the people sitting at tables outside. I was able to get a table inside without waiting each time. Got the classic French toast and the smoked salmon Benedict, with American coffee and chai tea. Very good. The atmosphere is very nice, it’s a lively place. They had a DJ outside once when I was there, which was cool, never seen that before at a breakfast spot. The canned music was nice too, seemed French and kind of tropical, I had to Shazam one song because I liked it so much. The servers and the manager are very conscientious and professional, they always check that you have everything you need. The manager is always walking around, checking on things. I chatted with her after my last meal, she was very nice and friendly. I look forward to visiting again on my next trip to Miami.
