Went here with good friends from SLC. We split the sampler plate and the chicken cordon bleu. Also had potato pancakes and black forest cake for dessert. Everything was excellent. And this is one of the reasons I keep going back. Give it a try.

I visited this restaurant as it was on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. It is without question well worth your time to drop in. Schnitzel galore, goulash, home made suasage,sauerbraten...all home made and exceptional.

I placed my ordered then went next door to order from another restaurant. I was gone 20 minutes. When I returned the food still was not ready. I was told the cook was SLEEPING. The Schweine Schnitzel was tender and bland. The potato salad was good. I lived in Germany. The food is cLose by no cigar. Not returning to this place.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The spaetzle was fantastic. Also the schnitzel was very good. All homemade. We also had apple strudel that was mouth watering good. I would recommend a reservation due to the small seating area and they are busy. Also it's a little hard to find can't really see it from the road. But it is so worth it. The only thing we didn't care for was the German potato salad, it was served cold, I'm use to hot. Also it was a bit sour. With that said we loved every thing else.

I had the schnitzel with potato salad. YUM! The best I have ever had in Nevada. Excellent food and service. I shall return.

To paraphrase Mr. T, "I pity the fool who doesn't eat at Cafe Berlin!" No really I do. Fair warning I'm predisposed to love German food but even so this place was awesome. As others have noted It's an unassuming place tucked in behind a gas station and its a bit off the beaten path, but is it ever worth the $20 cab ride from the Strip! My wife and I ate at several find $$$ and $$$$ restaurants on our trip and this place had them all beat hands down. The real difference is the care they take in the food. The spaetzle was amazing better then any I've had in Germany or Austria. The sausages were absolutely savory. well spiced, with the flavor of the meat really coming through. The schnitzel was the best part. If you've ever made schnitzel you know how easy it is to burn, undercook and over cook etc. Both my wife's and mine were perfect. And the Jaeger sauce and the Rahm sauce we just about perfect as well. I've has jaeger schnitzel before with sauce so heavy it hid the flavor of the pork/veal, not the case here. The sauce were substantial and added to the great flavor of the schnitzel. The strudel was pretty darn good too. The sweet cream that accompanied it with made my wife shudder with joy. Cafe Berlin is unassuming and awesome! I truly pity the fool who likes German food and doesn't make the trip to Cafe Berlin.

Authentic eastern European Foods - service with a great smile - according to my friends good/cold Beer

My wife and I just made our second visit to this restaurant. The food, beverages, and service were all excellent. On this occasion we came for dinner and were not disappointed. We both had the Jaeger Schnitzel with spaetzle and it was excellent (as good as or better than anything we have had in Germany itself). My wife had a smaller appetite so they allowed her to order the 'lunch portion' for dinner, which saved us money and helped avoid leftovers. They also have a decent selection of German beer. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner.

We love German Food and so while stopping for lunch in Vegas, my brother took us to this place. Strip mall restaurant but a great menu and really good food and service. We sat and talked for a while no one bothered us. Close to the freeway for easier access so that was great.

My wife and I went to Café Berlin on a friends recommendation and it was great. All food is freshly made and we had the bratwurst and Jaeger Schnitzel and both were excellent. We also had desert, the Black Forest which was nice and light and tried the cherry and apple strudel. The cherry was loaded with fruit and I loved it. My wife loved the apple. Our waitress Ramona was excellent. We will definitely be back.

I have been remiss in writing this review. Cafe Berlin is the real deal. I served all over Germany off and on for over 18 years. The food here is authentic as is the wonderful woman who works there. I believe she is from the Baumholder area. We actually spoke German for a bit. I had a couple of sausages and a great beer. Now that I have actually moved to Las Vegas I am heading back to this great establishment. To be more direct, this is not a restaurant with all of the shiny objects and latest fashion trends. This is an eatery that believes in authentic quality food in a very non assuming way. In other words, a typical German inn. Prost!

We entered the restaurant and it is one big room with old tables too close together! You feel like your having dinner with the people next to you. It took them 20 minutes just to take the order, in fact, they took the order of people that came after us. Those people told the waiter that we were there first! The food took long to come out. We had the pretzel and cheese sticks first then we shared the wurstplate (all different sausages), the jäger snitzle, the chicken cordon blue, and apple strudel. All the food was good except they burnt the chicken and the strudel was cold. It's ok but not the best. The cost for the above was $100

I am from a partially German family, so this is a sort of homecoming. The food and service is a good representation of many dishes.. Pork is subbed for veal in the schnitzels. Great noodles, red cabbage and wursts. I observed many Germans eating at other tables. Highly recommended.

I really would like to give this restaurant a good review. But unfortunately I can't. I love German food, so any chance I get to eat in a German restaurant I grab it. (See prior review of Johannes in Palm Springs) We went there on a Sunday night. When we were visiting Vegas. There were 2 other tables of diners there. The noise level was fine. They weren't playing accordion music it was standard rock. The service was good. I ordered the rouladen my husband ordered pork Veiner Schnitzel. Both were very good. My main problem is that for the mashed potatoes, we were served instant. I could disguise mine to a point with the rouladen gravy, but my husband likes his mashed potatoes plain with just butter. When we requested butter, the waitress came to the table with a handful of butter packets that were essentially frozen. With the drinks (3, one for me 2 for him)and dessert (1,which we split) the total tab with gratuity was over $100. I mean this is a restaurant, not a diner. At these prices we should have had the real thing.

Great German food. It is located in a little shopping center. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the Big German restaurant in Vegas, but we thought the food was much better. Good service.

Cafe Berlin is the best German Food I have had in the United States. I love German Food from traveling there frequently over the years, but can’t find the same quality of food until I visited Cafe Berlin. The portion sizes are enormous for the price. I ordered the sampler plate and it’s enough food for 3 - 4 people. The schnitzel served at Cafe Berlin is unmatched and the sausages are delicious. I ordered the Nuernberger and Bier Bratwurst sausages. The sides were amazing, spaetzle and red cabbage are the best in the states. The sauerkraut and mashed potatoes are also good. This place is truly amazing, and I highly recommend this restaurant if you like or want to try German food.

We ate here based on TA reviews and we were not disappointed, it's really good authentic German food. The restaurant is located in a very nondescript strip mall and is simply furnished. The food however is quite good and an excellent variety of German specialties. We had the Wienerschnitzel and it was excellent and the side dishes all German traditional fair were really good. All in all a great restaurant for German food in Las Vegas.

This is the most authentic German restaurant I've been to outside of Germany. The Jaeger Schnitzel is spot on, as is the Spaetzle. Even if you've never had German food, this should be a must on your dining list.

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed the schnitzel at Cafe Berlin. This restaurant offers authentic German food and beer. I had the Schweine-Schnitzel which was breaded pork with a delicious white sauce. My husband had the Jaegar Schnitzel which was topped with a delicious mushroom gravy. The german potato salad was wonderful with just the right amount of vinegar. We also tried the German beer which was excellent. If you order a medium draft it come is a boot shaped glass. The black forest cake was out of this world. I can’t wait to go there again.

I have wanted to try Cafe Berlin for several years. Tonight was the night. Wow! A new 'go to' place for a delicious meal. I look forward to future visits as there is more of the menu to explore! The red cabbage was perfect- it was the right amount of sour without being overpowering.

We finally checked this place out and it was very good. Very friendly staff. We both ordered the Schnitzel and it was very good. I will return!

On my last day in Vegas my flight was delayed and I decided to give Café Berlin a visit for lunch. First impression as I walked in was if you are looking for atmosphere this is not it unless you prefer East Berlin during the cold war. Nothing fancy here so I expected at least the prices to be right. However, a simple Brat sandwich, potato salad, and a beer set me back $20.00. Might as well of eaten lunch on the Strip. Now to be fair the other menu items may have been fantastic but I still had to wait what seemed an unreasonably long time for a simple order. Others seem to have had better experiences but this first visit was less than I expected.

As a German, living in England, my husband and I visited Cafe Berlin recently whilst on a road trip. Wow, what can I say !? This is the best German food we've ever eaten in a restaurant outside of Germany. It was so good that we returned the next night for more. I even had tears in my eyes as they made the sauce for the Jägerschnitzel like I make it at home. The Schnitzel was very tender and free from fatty bits. As stated in the menu it might take a little longer to get your food as everything is made fresh. Would I return !? Most certainly !!! Thanks a lot Sina (our waitress on the first night) and Sebastian.

A friend that lives in Las Vegas raved about this place awhile back. So, after talking with her and some other tripadvisor users, my family and I decided to try it out. We shared the platter of assorted brats, jaeger schnitzel, some potato salad, a pretzel, and streudel (apple and cherry). We ordered a pitcher of beer to wash it down. The food was amazing. It was fresh, well seasoned, and like nothing I've ever tasted. Between the amazing food and the friendly staff, it was like being a guest in someone's home and having them cook a meal for you. When we were done, my family was incredibly relaxed, happy, and full. My mom usually doesn't like to be adventurous with trying new food, but she loved it. My uncle? He loved the beer, the food, and the atmosphere and staff. Now he wants to go back every time he's in Vegas (usually every 3 or 4 months). They loved the brats so much that they bought some to bring home for family and made sure to get cooking instructions from the staff. So happy we took a chance and tried this place out. I can't wait to take more friends as family back here to eat!

Cafe Berlin is a good "real" German food restaurant. Not American-German food! I like the Rouladen and Schnitzel Meal.

Small restaurant in a strip mall that beats the big guys hands down. Not crowded and plenty of parking. Bockwurst sandwich ($9.99) was good and the spatzel was outstanding. The Jaeger schnitzel ($12.99) was outstanding too... Same with the german potato salad ($3.69). For me, the apple studel ($5.49) presentation and flavor was superior. Really impressed!!! Girlfriend is dying to return. Highly recommend.

We stopped in for dinner on a Monday night and it was so good I can't wait to go back. The food was first and foremost authentic (my husband is off-the-boat German) and delicious. Very good. The atmosphere was charming - small, interesting wall lighting, low-key vibe, in a strip mall....but perfect. Cozy (it's Christmas so the lights and decorations made it so) and inviting. It will be a staple for us when we come through Vegas (a lot!).

Went here for dinner a couple weekends ago with my wife who happens to be German. We split the Jaeger Schitzel plus had a side salad and my wife ordered a fresh pretzel. We then split an apple strudel for dessert. I had eaten here before but my wife had not. She loved everything. The schnitzel was excellent with the fresh homemade spaetzle. Excellent brown gravy with mushrooms over it. Her pretzel took about 10 minutes as it was freshly made. We will definitely be going back again. Next time we're going to try the ruladen.

Cafe Berlin is a small unpretencious true German restaurant. It is off the beaten path, but worth finding. What it lacks in ambiance, it more than makes up in friendliness. The manager is very visibly active and the waitress has been there for decades. We shared commentary on Germany in German. As for the food: The sauerbraten is marinated for a week and is delicious. The strudel was the perfect ending. Dinner and two drinks came to $75. A definite stop for us any time we are in Vegas.

If you realy want real German food this place is great. We like to travel and visit new places to eat. Small place make reservation and enjoy. Very friendly

This restaurant is not a good value. Prices are extraordinarily high. For example, they serve jaeger schnitzel (pork) for the price of wiener schnitzel (veal). Wiener schnitzel is not available here. Mashed potatoes and sauerkraut, while tasty, are overpriced and were served cold to us. The one bright spot was the H/S on tap.

In a nondescript strip mall, the terrific German restaurant Cafe Berlin shines, and it is well worth seeking out. Though the decor may not be exquisite, the food certainly is. From the varied and extensive German menu we chose three dishes which were delicious. The Jaeger Schnitzel featured tender, lightly breaded pork cutlets bathed in a delicious Jaeger sauce with mushrooms. The bratwursts were tender, juicy, and succulent, and the Rouladen was a tasty beef sensation. Sides of bread dumplings, pan fried potatoes, Germand red cabbage and Spaetzle were phenomenal. Dishes are ample, so prepare to leave satisfied and comforted. The homemade strudel (we had the cherry strudel), alone was worth the trip. Friendly and efficient service rounds out a satisfying experience. If you love German food, a trip to Cafe Berlin should be in your future.

Ordered the sausage platter and an ice tea, --after tax and before tip, a buck short of $40.00 for lunch. WAY too greedy a toll for a restaurant without table clothes that does not provide soup, salad, bread or rolls with the entre. Meal was acceptable, but nothing I would travel more than 5 miles for. Virtually no ambiance, located in a strip shopping center between a marijuana dispensary and a gas station. I can't imagine this place surviving the next recession given the prices they are charging.

I had seen this restaurant many times as I passed by, but had yet to try it. My mother's birthday offered the chance I needed, since she had been looking for good German food and there are limited choices for this choice in Vegas. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! Each of the four of our party had something unique and tasty. Try this place!

My husband was stationed in Germany while he was in the service. I lived there with him for a year and a half. We became lovers of German food. Where we currently live, there is only one small German restaurant. So we were happy to find this café in Las Vegas. It is "off" the strip which is nice for a change, and the food was excellent and authentic. We went there for lunch. The facility is small, so I'd assume it can get crowded during dinnertime. Loved the food -- we ordered the pork cordon bleu, and had the apple strudel for dessert. Excellent!!

Not fancy, but clean and extremely two very nice ladies work there. We ordered a large plate of Rahm Schnitzel with gravy on the side and split it. They were kind to give us an extra plate. Breading was crisp, and the meat was tender. We also ordered sauerkraut on the side to split, and it was perfect, not sour. We were full, but could not pass on apple strudel to go, and we did not regret it. Prices are reasonable. I seriously could have tasted everything on their menu. It was the best meal we had in Vegas. Wonder if they ever make liver dumpling soup? Wish they had a place in Tucson.

We visited here for lunch (prices are quite a bit lower). We had the jaeger schnitzel (IMHO, a good test of a German restaurant) and the zigeuner schnitzel. Mit bratkartoffeln. The portions were a good size for us. We did not try the desserts, although they looked good. The restaurant was small and tidy and uncrowded. Good service. The family is from Wurzburg. I would visit again.

While visiting Vegas my brother and I were looking for some good German food. We came across Cafe Berlin. We had some great food and beer. We shared a monster pretzel to start the meal. My brother then had the weinerschnitzel and I had the wurstplatte, which had 3 kinds of sausage. We finished it off with the apple strudel. Both the service and food were great.

We visited as a family of four. Of course, my very picky step children turned up their noses and only ordered pretzels and sodas (which the VERY kind staff kept returning to fill). My husband lived in Germany for 6 years and we love the culture... and the FOOD! I had the Jager Schnitzel and he had the Zigeuner Schnitzel. Both were very good! The atmosphere wasn't spectacular, but it was fine for us. A friendly family run authentic restaurant!

This review is for Cafe Berlin's once a month German buffet. They have it on the first Saturday of every month. I just happened to try this place for the first time on their buffet night. The buffet has a huge following, and reservations are necessary. We saw some people turned away when they showed up sans reservations. The buffet is $19.99 per person and includes a soda or iced tea. I think the price is a little high for what you get unless you are a big eater. There is a small table in the corner set up with a few chafing dishes, like at a dinner party. I'm not sure if the selections change, but the options we had on the buffet were: cucumber salad, potato salad, peas with carrots, red cabbage, sauerkraut, spaetzle, one kind of brown sausage, pork schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, Frikadelle (German meatballs), and fried Spam. There were some gravies and mustard but that was it. Very limited but most items were very tasty. The weirdest thing was the dessert option: a puff pastry topped with cherry or vanilla pudding, marshmallows and Cool Whip. It was good but it reminded me of something my white trash aunt would bring to the family potluck dinners when I was younger. The small restaurant was packed for the special buffet night and the kitchen had a difficult time keeping up with the crowd; whenever a cook would come out with a pan of fresh food, people descended on them like locusts. At least the stuff was prepared fresh but you had to be on your toes to get something, especially the schnitzel. As soon as it was put out, it was gone. They also ran out of plates several times (but this was quickly remedied). There is one major thing I really dislike about the buffet. For the steep per person price, pretzels and strudel are NOT included. That's kind of sticking it to you when, let's be honest, all of us want a dang pretzel and some apple strudel when we eat at a German restaurant. I ordered the pretzel anyway, but having to pay extra rubbed me the wrong way (especially when the one I was served was overcooked and almost burnt). It would be nice if the owners would include one or two pretzels and one strudel per table with the buffet. Note that if you go on the buffet night, that is your ONLY OPTION. We were told that you CANNOT order regular dishes off the menu (only beer, wine, strudel and pretzels). The service was good and the German employees were so kind and welcoming. The decor ain't great but the place has its charm. I did enjoy the food and I am anxious to return on a non-buffet night. The cucumber salad, spaetzle and red cabbage were true standouts! I will update my review after my next visit. The spaetzle was particularly authentic, it took me back to my trips to Germany!

The food in this small restaurant/cafe is very authentically German. The ambiance is not very special but it is made up for by the food (a better ambiance and I would have given 5/5). All the menu items are excellent and they even try to make spezi.

When we were at a grocery store to shop for room supplies for our five nights in Vegas was saw a SUV with Cafe Berlin advertising on the vehicle. I asked if they were an authentic German restaurant? When she answered in a German accent I knew the answer. I asked if they use real veal in their schnitzel and she said they don't because of the high cost. She said they use mostly pork and that the schnitzel was very good. We don't go to the Hofbrau House because they don't use veal so I was sceptical. We went there the first night of our stay and even with directions from the lady driving the Cafe Berlin SUV I had a hard time finding it. The decor in the place was sparse. But were weren't there for the decor. We greeted warmly and the lady from the parking lot recognized me. We ordered some German beer and we had the Sampler Platter for dinner. We had a choice over several items on the menu and all were well prepared and delicious. We finished with some blueberry strudel and coffee and were on our way very content with our first dinner.

Fabulous German cuisine! Strudel to die for! Not much ambience, but that wasn't a big deal for us as we were more concerned about having a great German experience. A bit pricey, but we'll be back.

Me & my friend had reservations on 12/3/2022 we were going to eat the buffet & it was advertised $19.95 per person we even called & asked if it was still $19,95 when we arrived we were told the buffe was $32.99 ?????? Why was the price changed when we drive across town to go & eat ??? We are very disappointed I don’t understand????? False advertisement!!!!!!

The food was yummy and I loved the German atmosphere, music, and beer. I am excited to go back when it’s no buffet night so we can try out the menu items.

We have lived in Las Vegas for many decades and really miss two of our old favorite German restaurants, "Alpine Village" and "Old Heidelberg ", after looking on the internet tonight, we discovered Cafe Berlin. It is Oktoberfest time and I have been craving German cuisine, so we decided to give it a try. It was no disappointment, we loved it! The decor is meager, but the food and personal service was terrific. Sebastian was so helpful and knowledgeable. We couldn't stop talking about this find all the way home, we were even planning when to return, which we definitely will!

This was my first visit. It is locally owned, very authentic and reasonably priced. I recommend it! It is one of the few restaurants located just southwest of the Las Vegas Strip.

You could seriously be in Germany when you're eating here. The food and beer had the memories flooding back from the multiple times we've spent in Germany. Whether it was the Black Forest or Berlin, this place does the German experience perfectly. It's no surprise that the owners are German. It appeared that the wife ran the restaurant while the husband ran the kitchen. They're doing a fantastic job, as are the rest of the staff. Also, it doesn't feel kitschy or touristy, like it does in a lot of Vegas themed restaurants. It's just a great German restaurant.

This is simply the best German restaurant that I have discovered in "the States," since my return from Air Force service in Germany. We love in Southern California; so, we do have several German restaurants and even a large German social club to choose from. But this small place that we found on the non-glitzy side of the I-15 in Las Vegas surpassed them all. I had Jaegerschnitzel and my wife had Zegeunerschnitzel, each with home-made spaetzle. They were great! This is now on our must-do list whenever we're back in Sin City.

Wanting German food, we picked this place after consulting Trip Advisor. No atmosphere in the strip mall location, but the food was excellent! The German draft beer was great. My 86 year mother enjoyed the German wine. Portions are generous. Will return.

I'm a big fan of bratwurst and their's is excellent. Menu is somewhat limited but the service was fast and friendly.

Stephen told me that his family is German. Very German. When I first heard that, I expected his family to come out in lederhosen and dirndls. OK, Ok, They're not "that" traditional, but they are from Germany, and they know what the Old Country food should taste like. The cafe is located behind a Popeye's and Arco gas station. We stopped by on the Tuesday after Memorial Day for lunch. The last time we had "German" food in Vegas was at the touristy Hofbrauhaus, and we were disappointed. I am pleased to say that this visit to Cafe Berlin was 1000% better. When you walk in, the place isn't fancy. It's a simple cafe with German products and posters on the ceiling and wall. What it lacks in decor, the place makes up with good food. I had the Jaeger schnitzel, while Stephen had the Rahm schitzel, both served with spaetzle, a dumpling type pasta, while mom had the Rouladen, served with red cabbage and bread dumpling. The food is made to order, and you can hear the cook pounding the pork to make the schnitzel. When the food arrived, few words were spoken while we ate, and the words spoken were "here, try some of mine". The Scnitzel was delicious. Perfectly fried outside, and covered in delicious gravy. The big hit was the Rouladen. The Rouladen is a beef roll (think flank steak) with bacon, onions and pickles, then rolled, cooked, and covered in gravy. This was served with a dumpling about the size of a huge golf ball, and a serving of warm red cabbage. This was a real traditional German meal. Very German. Our German adventure didn't end here, as mom ordered the apple strudel and Stephen had the German Chocolate Cherry cake. Both desserts were not overly sweet, Between the 2 desserts, I did prefer the strudel more. The warm apple and flaky pastry crust, dipped in the vanilla sauce was so good. Lunch for 3, along with 2 sodas, 2 beers, coffee, and dessert came to $80-something. Perhaps a little pricey since we splurged, but it was probably the highlight of our Vegas jaunt. Mom liked it, and that's the biggest critic IMHO.

The food was really good and authenticate. The place was clean and well light. A little pricey for lunch but worth it.

Good food in very simple bare bones atmosphere, located in a strip mall behind a gas station. I ordered the Jaeger Schnitzel and my wife ordered sauerbraten. Both came with spatzle. The sauerbraten was not fork tender or as flavorful as in Germany. My schnitzel was good. Both were simply presented without garnish and portions small. The waiter said our food was prepared and presented just like in Germany. Well, where was the salad? Where were the generous portions at reasonable prices and gasthaus atmosphere? Our tab was for two was $50 plus tax and tip. We didn't order beverages. Berlin can do a lot better! We lived in Germany for five years and have been back numerous times. Even the simplest places are steps above Café Berlin.

Since there are no German restaurants near where we live, we visit Cafe Berlin whenever we visit Las Vegas. Try a different schnitzel each time, always good. But, please less salt on the fried potatoes (bratkartoffln). Black Forest Cake (schwartzwalderkirschtorte) was excellent as always.

The food is fabulous from the snitzel to the black forest cake. I spent 12 years in Germany & eating here brings back fond memories of festive times. The price tag is not cheap & the atmosphere is rather plain but I keep coming back because the food is that good.

This has been the best German restaurant I have tried so far. Service is great- very friendly. Food is to die for.

My wife and I were looking for something off the beaten path of Las Vegas and lucked into this place, WOW what a find. Having been to Germany in years past this was very close to the quality of Eats we had in Frankfurt. If it's German you want and are in this area try it it is worth the meager price for the great food.

Inspired by the good reviews, we decided to go against our tradition and visit another restaurant serving German cuisine in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the welcome was not particularly friendly, the menus were slammed on the table and there was no water. The noodle soup we ordered was quite tasty. The same goes for the side salad. Now we were looking forward to the Wiener Schnitzel we ordered. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The schnitzel came out of the fryer extremely flattened and dripping with fat and tasteless. The potatoes in the potato salad were not fully cooked and half raw. Our last hope, an apple strudel, didn't really improve things: far too sweet, not acidic enough and obviously not made from fresh apples. Unfortunately, the decor, which resembled a cafeteria, didn't create any kind of coziness. Ultimately, a good restaurant idea that was ruined by small things and stupid mistakes.

Disappointing overall. As someone who was born and grew up in Germany, I know my German food. My order (Rouladen) was not up to my expectations. My wife's order (Schnitzel) was apparently burned and had to be re-made (but was good when it arrived), resulting in our two meals being served at different times. Beer menu was very limited. A very average experience.

My German wife was longing for a taste of home the ninety mile trip was definitely worth it. I also told they offer a buffet but haven't try that yet.

My family, originally from Germany, was vacationing this month from back east and was looking for an authentic German food restaurant away from the Las Vegas strip. We had heard through word of mouth about Cafe Berlin from several people in the valley that the Cafe would be a great stop for the family before leaving Las Vegas. We all had their specialities such as the Rouladen and Bratwursts with spaetzle, bread dumplings, potato cakes and Germand red cabbage, and that, along with some great German beers paired the food excellently. They have lunch and dinner, and one day of the month a German Buffett, and I can only imagine how good that is. The atmosphere is Cafe style, reservations are recommended on certain nights, and it's $$-$$$ priced. Next time we'll have to save some room for desert, as I hear the Strudel is fantastic. Worth a trip back for sure!

Small cafe. Food was not edible. I had the Rouladen. The meat was so tough and dry I couldn't eat it. It also had a raw piece of bacon rolled up in it. It had a lot of salty, no flavor gravely over it. Found one small piece of pickle. The red cabbage was warm and maybe out of a can. The breaddumpling was a gob of bread. I love German food and was really looking forward to eating here. My husband's meal wasn't much better. You we could think that for $18.99 the food would be good. What a disappointment. So sorry

Having grown up in Germany, I tend to be very critical of German restaurants. Cafe Berlin is by far the best authentic Germin food I have had in many years. Tip - In Germany, the signal that you are ready to order is to close your menu.

Found this little tuck away Restaurant off strip in Las Vegas and found it to have authentic German Food. Great service and able to speak German if you want. The owner stopped by the table was friendly and told us how he made the recipes. I had Rouladen and my husband had the Sauer Braten. Both great and plenty of food. A great gem of Las Vegas.

Fell into this restaurant just before closing on Saturday. There were seven of us and we were all pleasantly surprised as the quality of the food. Everything is made from scratch and very good. My mom is German and is never satisfied with the food when we take her to German restaurants. She was impressed Saturday night. The chefs are German as was the waitress we had. This is definitely worth a return.

Not a fancy place but the food is great as is the service. My wife and I enjoy german food and this place is top notch. The deserts are super. I highly recommend it to folks looking for a super german meal.

We went for lunch, and it was excellent! I had the Roulauden, and my husband (who was born in Germany) had the sausage plate... very good. The red cabbage had a bit too much allspice in it for our tastes but otherwise a very good meal.

Go for dessert. The menu is rather limited and expect classic deep-fried preparation for their schnitzel. Spaetzle was fair as was the cooked red cabbage. The ambiance is lacking - tables are close together and lack linens.

We both love German food (going to the real deal in September), and this is pretty good. We both had the Snitzel, and I had a beer (surprise). It is a comfortable place south of the city in a strip mall. You will need a car to get here. Over all pretty good food, and we will go back when we return to Vegas

This is our third or fourth time eating here and it will probably be the last. I always order the wiener schnitzel and while it was made with pork instead of veal it always looked like a schnitzel and tasted reasonably good. The schnitzel this time looked like a veal cutlet you buy from the grocery store from the frozen food section. I thought they got my order wrong when they brought my meal. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed.

A hidden gem... a bit off the beaten path... And worth it- so worth it- when you hunger for authentic German Food. The menu offers the traditional fare from Bratwurst to Schnitzel to Cordon Bleu (both chicken and pork) to Roulade - the latter I found to be a bit on the high priced side (this not ordered). I opted for the pork Cordon Bleu and it was very good- even though the breading really felt more like Japanese Panko. The fries (‘pommes’) were superb. The Paulaner Weiße (wheat beer- DRAFT! Hooray!) was the best and this comes in three glass sizes... the large one IS large (the 1. liter deal!)....= 3 bottles or so... Service is swift. Having just returned from a European trip- I thought: hmmm... in Germany, there would be ONE server - one - not two or three. The owner is readily available it seems and I was asked how I liked everything! “Alles super gut” I Said... (everything was super good)... The atmosphere is ... hmm.. I cannot tell if there is a style to the ambience ... but the pipe-and-light wall hanging was cool- kind of industrial - wondering if the owner was a master pipe fitter craftsman in his previous life? Chairs are comfortable enough. They do take reservations and close a bit early like 8 pm through the week and Sundays.... hmmm 9 pm on Saturday... All in all a truly AUTHENTIC time and experience. As they advertise... It’s the real deal.... including Nina’s 99 Luftballons in the background ... and who doesn’t feel better after hearing her?!?! Genießen Sie es! (Enjoy!)

After our road trip from Tucson to the Cancun Resort we decided to look for German food. This place is great and really is just like Mom used to make. We had rouladen, goulash, semmelknoedel, gurkensalat, apfelstrudel. All were excellent.

I belong to a meetup group called "Las Vegas Friends". Quite often we meet for a meal. Today's venture took us to Cafe Berlin. If you haven't guesssed it by now let's just say we ate German food. This restaurant is located in a little strip like mall area in back of a gas station. If you blinked you wouldn't find it. Thankfully, one of the gals had been here in the past and liked it so much she wanted to return, therefore, we had a navigator and someone who could make sure we got there okay. Our group was 9 and we ordered a variety of dishes. Geraldine and I ordered the Haenchen Cordon Bleu (breaded chicken breast, stuffed with premium ham and swiss cheese, served with cranberry relish and fries). Geraldine's dish came with French Fries while I opted to substitute in the cucumber salad. Lucia ordered the Nuernberger Rostbratwuerst'l (house recipe roasted pork sausages with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut). Say that three times fast!!! Nancy ordered the chicken fingers while other orders consisted of the Bratwurst burger and Sauerbraten (marinated beef-roast with a tasty gravy and house spaetzle). I thought my Cordon Blue vom Schwein was delicious. I could have eaten two of them and not complained. The cucumber salad complemented the dish nicely. Geraldine also really enjoyed her dish of the same although her complement was French fries. Lucia cleaned her plate. Her dish came with some sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. I tried the sauerkraut and it was good----different from what I am used to but good. Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The only thing that was not loved was the potato sald. A couple of the gals ordered the dessert. I wasn't paying attention to what it was called but there was apple and cherry someting or other wih a cream on the side. Some of the other ladies taste tasted the pastries and all gave the thumbs up. The owner of the restaurant waited on us. She was very nice and helpful in our ordering of the food and the prep. I did not get her name but she totally accommodated us and even allowed the group to get separate checks. I noticed that once a month they have a buffet. I would definitely go back to this restaurant and might even work my schedule around the buffet.

Once again Cafe Berlin comes through! My wife and I had the Rahm Schnitzel with Spaetzle. We had it for dinner so you get a double portion of the lunch entree. The spaetzle was excellent and so was the schnitzel. We also had a house salad with a German oil and vinegar dressing which was very fresh. We then had the apple strudel for dessert and it was excellent as always. I keep coming back here as it's one of my favorite places and the food is always fabelhaft!

My wife and I went for lunch. We both ordered different types of Wiener schnitzel. Mine was with lemons and potato salad and hers had a brown gravy over noodles. Both were very good. Very good potato salad. The only thing this place is lacking is the tables and chairs. They are using banquet chairs for seating? The food is very good, but the seating needs to be improved. This is the best German Restaurant in Las Vegas. I will return. Photos added.

I'm a big fan of this authentically styled German bistro in an unassuming strip mall. You will be too if you like strudel, bratwurst, sauerkraut, schnitzel, and other delicacies. It is hearty and simply presented. Just as you would expect. I would be here all the time...but it is a tiny bit pricey. Completely worth it, mind you. I also have been to Germany and find this a great substitute!

German Restaurant ,great selection of german dishes,Currywurst and Schnitzel and more.Once a month buffet very nice for a good price

This charming and unassuming restaurant is located just minutes from the Strip but is definitely worth a trip away. As its name implies, this restaurant offers German food which is so delicious my dinner mates and I could not stop eating. I really could not get over how tasty everything was. I had the weiner schnitzel which just melted in my mouth. The German potato salad served with it was exquisite. My dining companions ordered the sauerbraten and the rouladen which they found to be as delicious as I found the schnitzel. I also highly recommend not leaving without trying the strudel ( apple, cherry or blueberry) which is over the top. Not only was the food exceptional, but the owners were so welcoming, it was true pleasure eating here. If you want some incredibly delicious home cooked Authentic German food, there is no other place to get it than here.

I had the schnitzel sandwich and my son had the Nuremberger sandwich and a pretzel. The pretzel was a great appetizer but the schnitzel sandwich bun was too dry and crumbly. The Nuremberger sandwich was a much better meal. All prices were reasonable.

I really like German food and Cafe Berlin was a home run for our family. We started with the hot pretzel...amazing. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel with fry’s covered in mushroom gravy...the memories of Germany it brought back; the taste...WOW!!! My wife had the Wurstplatte and she was very pleased. My son had the Rahm Schnitzel and thought is was very good. We all split the German Forest Cake and we left a happy family. I would like to add the owner came out a couple time to speak with us and we really appreciate that.

Stationed in Europe in military, and have visited Germany many times since. My German friends would not give this restaurant high marks. Meals are sparse having only meat & potatoes or Spätzle. Good German restaurant meals in Germany include brot/brotchen/bread before dinner, and the plate normally contains either pickled vegetables and/or small salad. These are void here. Very small salad available at extra charge. Prices seemed high compared to what was delivered on the plate. Dinner for two was $60 w/o tip, with only soft drinks = low value. Atmosphere is hard tables and chairs on concrete floor where noise can be an issue. All seemed clean and well kept. The meat entrees ordered were OK. Schnitzel was fine and cutlet was well trimmed. Sauerbraten was not as good but meat also well trimmed and tender. Not likely to return as Vegas has so many other choices that are so much better.

We joined our friends at their Porsche Club monthly dinner. Apart from good German beer, Cafe Berlin has a decent selection of German food from snichtzel, sausages to rouladen and sauerbraten. Service at this family-run restaurant is good.

Absolutely fabulous. We love German food and ate at Hofbrauhaus right after we moved here and were sorely disappointed in the quality and taste. Cafe Berlin was just what we needed and is a definite must for a German food lover.

We had dinner here on Monday, 4/20 with some locals. This is one of their favorite restaurants and they dine here monthly. The food was excellent (so was the beer) Will return on our next trip to Vegas. Really would like to try the buffet sometime.

Went here again with my wife a couple weekends ago. We had the rouladen for dinner. The entree is big enough to split between two people. You get the rouladen , red cabbage and dumplings. The dinner portion is two rouladens , lots of cabbage and two dumplings. Everything is made fresh daily and it was excellent. My wife's mother is German and my wife said it tasted just like she used to make. We also had a fresh salad, a freshly made pretzel and we split a cherry strudel for dessert. The restaurant is totally authentic in its cuisine. You definitely need to give it a try.

Authentic Germany food in Vegas. Quite a variety of homemade sausages. Loved the warm pretzel. Pay the extra for the cheese dip...It was outstanding. Streudel for dessert was OK I've had better

What a great experience we had there . Great Service and the Staff was so kind ! The food was so good since the first Saturday of the month they have a buffet, we sampled everything what a great selection of foods . From the Schnitzel to the Brats and the German Potato salad ,Sauerkraut ,Red Cabbage and Spaetzle OMG . Worth the drive to go to ! This place is a no brainer ! Thank you Cafe Berlin !!!

The Food was so good I couldn’t stop eating everything. My Girlfriend is German and from the Black Forrest. I’m American and spent many years in Germany eating their cuisine. We were meeting my “Very” American parents here for dinner. My GF was a bit apprehensive about going here considering we had never tried it and she didn’t want my parents to get the wrong idea about German food. Long story short… My parents loved it and ate everything. This is a big complement considering they don’t venture out of what they are used to. I truly feel the bad reviews are from petty Germans that are overly critical. Try the sampler and you won’t be disappointed.

The menu was varied but not extensive. The dishes like Goulash, Sauerbraten were quite good. The spicy sausage plate was with BBQ like sauce with curry powder sprinkled. The wine are a bit pricey too. Service was not very attentive either. Given plethora of restaurants to try out in Vegas, not likely to go back soon.

Had a great German Dinner at Cafe Berlin. Taste just like my mom's cooking. Price was reasonable and the service was good. Can't wait to go back!

My husband was very impressed with this place. The decore isn't fancy, but the service was good. The pretzel was enjoyable as well as the spaetzle. My husband enjoyed the bratwurst and the Jaeger Schnitzel and I discovered that I don't like German food! If you enjoy German food, then apparently this is the place for you!

If you like German food, this is a good café to try. The Wurstplatte can be shared by two people and allows one to try three different German Sausages. The Spaetzle is nicely cooked and the Pan Fried Potatoes have delicious flavoring. 3 or 4 people could easily share the Sampler Platte, which would allow them to try the sausage and schnitzel. If you have room for dessert recommend the Apple Strudel, it is delicious. Offer German beer and wine. Good service, excellent food for a great price. Great find in Las Vegas.

Authentic German food! Sooo good! kids loved their food too! Nice break from the chaos of the strip! definitely worth the drive!

This place is a good distance from the strip which kind of shocked me when I got the bill. Food was good, but we each had only one beer with our food and the bill was $130 for 3 people in 2022. I'll come back if I hit the lottery.

Had the appetizer platter and combination platter, get to try all the different appetizer and entree, the portion is quite good. The potato pancake is not really what I expected. Originally go there and to try the pork shank but they say only available once a month in the last Saturday. So will go again tomorrow and try.

This place is tiny, in a strip mall behind a gas station, but what a diamond in the rough. The décor is cozy and unique with checked tablecloths and umbrellas but maybe a little ethnic music in the background would contribute to the atmosphere. Wonderful cold German beers, a few even on draft. The waitress/waiter (owners?) were so friendly. The food (fresh baked pretzel, wienerschnitzel and potato salad) is authentically German but the wienerschnitzel is not veal, as usual these days. The prices were moderately high for lunch but we decided it was worth it. We'd definitely eat here again.

We took a taxi from the Mirage to Cafe Berlin mid week, had reservations. We are familiar with the Cafe Berlin in Denver and have loved the food there. We were not disappointed by the quality of food at the Las Vegas location. Potato pancakes were perfect and served with sour cream, applesauce and my preference to add horseradish as a combo bite of flavors. The Jager Schnitzel was good also. It is a bit expensive to take a taxi and we had a hard time getting a taxi back to rhe hotel. Transportation cost double what the meal costs.

Had the opportunity to take in lunch at Cafe Berlin located at 4850 W. Sunset Road in Las Vegas. Although it is west of the strip, it was well worth the drive. The restaurant is located in an industrial area, and is not fancy. The food and service were both very good. Great list of German favorites; Rouladen, Sauerbraten, Gulasch, Schnitzel and much more. They do offer a kids menu as well. They also offer beer..of course German beer. Check out their menu at www.cafeberlinlv.com

Tucked away off the strip in an unassuming location is this topnotch German Cafe. They have draft & bottled German beers to accompany your meal & the food is excellent. This is a quiet place on the weekend & they were showing German travel videos on the widescreen display as part of the decor. Not a fancy place, but I was there for the food & drink. I enjoyed the Cordon Bleu Vom Schwein with a delicious Apple Strudel for dessert. Staff were friendly and welcoming. This is now on my restaurant list for future visits to Las Vegas.

We picked this as our family restaurant for its European flavour and were not dissapointed in our menu choices. The service was excellent and while they were very busy they took very good care of our group of 9 people. The only thing I didn't like was that they did not have lemnade for the children so something else was chosen and in the mean time the lemonade machine was back in operation, they received their lemonade and we were charged for both. Otherwise this was worth our drive and time and we shall visit Cafe Berlin each time we visit Las Vegas.

A little off the beat in path from Vegas but well worth it. The Rouladen meal with purple cabbage and bread dumpling was fantastic.

If you like to taste the German food and if you are in Las Vegas, you have to visit Cafe Berlin. First, you get various German and Bavarian Beer! Second you get very good typical German food. Outstanding for the US. We visited at least 3 times the restaurant and we were never disappointed.

Everything was delicious. The pretzel and mustard appetizer was an excellent start, especially with a side of wurst. The schnitzels were excellent, but the home made spaetzle were amazing!!! And of course, must have the strudel for desert. Off the beaten path, but worth the cab ride! If you love German food, this place is outstanding!

As I understand we are in an unfortunate place with bars and restaurants. I wanted to go out and support a local business while trying something different and new than I usually do. Had a date night here and unfortunately it did not go well. After being seated we ordered drinks ( beers ) while we checked out the menu. Beers came, then we placed our app order. Server returned we placed another order for drinks and our main course. This was about 10-15mins, our server seemed nice, didn't speak much except to get our orders and didn't speak to recommendations as we informed her this was our first time. The restaurant was not busy as this was relatively early in the day before dinner rush. After enjoying the musician ( pretty cool and funny ) and him having us sing along, I noticed that sometime had passed for our app. At this time we had been sitting for a little over half an hour not too long and two other parties had arrived to be seated one group or two and another of four. A few minutes after their seating our app arrived was very good so we ordered more drinks as the musician was very entertaining. Another 15 mins went by and we watched as both groups received their meals. Now as I said before our server wasn't very accommodating and didn't make efforts to check on us. With covid I understand but at some point you want to check on your table. Well unfortunately I was able to get ahold of the other server as there were only two working that day and informed her that we had been sitting for some time. Of which we place our main course order some time ago and other guest arriving after had received their orders first. I was informed that some times the kitchen makes main dishes fast and if you order appetizers they may take longer. That threw me off, why would the kitchen make my main course faster if the app was placed first ???? Our server didn't return to our table after dropping off our appetizer and didn't come back to our table when I asked for the check. I asked for a manager and was informed one was not present. I called a few days later and left a message for the manager, never heard from. I waited a week or so after and called again speaking to a gentleman who informed me he would pass the message along. No word after again. While I do not want to place any wrong ideas on a place during this time of struggling local businesses, pretty interesting that not even a phone call to explain the service we received. I guess it's top notch service for certain guests at this establishment and yes I still tipped for the bad service.

We had dinner here last week. It was just okay. We lived in Germany for 3 years so we were expecting the food to be as good as we remembered --- but it was not. The service was great and the owners very nice...just the food not so good.

There are many places that claim they have traditional German food and it is hard to find good German food in the USA. Well, I found a legit place! In fact, I like the German food here better than when I was in Germany. The homemade goulash soup was superb as a starter. The schnitzel was perfectly crispy with the awesome mushroom gravy on top. The quality on all the food that was shared with me was top notch. This is a great place for comfort food like real home cooking. Service was attentive as he explained the dishes to us. I would give this place 6 Stars if I could. Personally, I could care less about price only if the food is that Awesome...

Had lunch here on last Friday with family and friends. My wife and I split the evening rouladen meal. Comes with rouladen, dumpling and red cabbage. Excellent as always. Also had the apple strudel for dessert. This place is much better than the tourist Hofbrauhaus on Paradise and Harmon. Definitely give this place a try.

While being in Las Vegas we ran on accident into this nice, little German restaurant. We chose „Frikadelle“, a Salat and a Schnitzel. All meals were quite nice, only the Schnitzel could have had a little bit more salt from my perspective. Still overall very recommendable to enjoy authentic German food.

Went there for my Birthday and was not disappointed. Great food as always and wonderfully friendly service. And my birthday candle arrived in a slice of Black Forest Torte!! Life couldn't be better!!

On a recommendation from a friend, we went to Cafe Berlin for dinner. This is a small, quaint restaurant, attended to by the owners, a couple in which he cooks and she manages the front, with the assistance of one server. We came for the goulash and spaetzel, which was absolutely to die for!! A small cucumber salad preceeded our entree, and we finished with some delicious struedel, both apple and blueberry. If you are a fan of German cuisine, do not miss this delightful restaurant in Las Vegas.

Stumbled upon this gem when driving down Sunset Road. I went for lunch and had the schnitzel in mushroom gravy and the best schnitzel I've encountered. The Black Forrest Cake looked amazing but I was full by then. Ramona, my server, was a gem, Can't wait to return.

Outstanding lunch at Café Berlin. Small restaurant in a strip mall, but cozy and welcoming. Service was perfect. As others have mentioned, it isn't inexpensive - but the quality is well worth it. Cannot wait to eat there again Highly recommend!

I read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to not let the outside of the restaurant keep me from trying it. Boy was I glad I did. The Saurbraten and Spätzle was very authentic German food! I also had their fabulous red cabbage! Yes, it is in a strip mall! But guess what, "Who cares when the food is so fabulous!" If you want the taste of authentic German food that is awesomely tasty.... Then go here to eat!

Forget the German tourist traps (hofbrauhaus anyone?) and lederhosen. If you want authentic, made from scratch, honestly priced German food, search no longer. The Cafe Berlin serves all that with a smile and graceful management. We tried the pork shnitzel and the cordon bleu, both delicious, perfectly cooked and made with first quality ingredients. Another table close to ours, with some German clients, was eating sausages, looking very pleased. It is a little off the beaten paths, but worth the trip. Germany, after all, is farer, and you'll find the same quality here.

Went here 2 years ago and a number of times before that. Somewhat disappointed this time. First, the remodel. The inside has been remodeled and looks very nice. Even the bathrooms have had a very nice makeover. Clean and very bright. Now, the food. We started with a homemade pretzel. This was about the same as before. My wife and I split the rouladen with the dumpling and red cabbage. The cabbage was about the same as before but not the meat and dumpling. Times before you could cut the rouladen with your fork. This time you needed a knife and actually had to work at it to cut a portion. Same with the dumpling. Before they used to be moister and was able cut with a fork. Also needed a knife to cut it. From the looks of the staff, we got the impression that the place is under new management as none of the familiar faces from past visits were there. Could be the same management but I can believe they would let the rouladen and dumplings turn out this way. We felt the meat wasn't cooked slowly all day as it should have been much more tender than it was. Sorry Cafe Berlin, you let us down on this meal. We had the apple strudel for dessert and it was just as good as always. So, this trip gets a medium C. I will have to think quite a lot before going back again.

We had a wonderful meal at this fantastic Authentic German Restaurant. I spent numerous years in German and this is the closes to those real German flavors that I've missed. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel and it was awesome. My wife had the Rouladen and my daughter had the Rahm Schnitzel. Both of those dishes were fantastic also. The beer was great, the pretzel is a must and the visit is also a must. The price was reasonable for the amount of food you received and of course for all those authentic flavors. We'll be going again with friends.

Options are limited in the States for good German fare... most are kitschy tourist traps severing what American think is German food. Cafe Berlin in a nice exception... off the beaten path in a nondescript small strip mall, the restaurant itself is also pretty plain with modern touches to emulate the modernized Berlin. On to the food... having grown you in German with a German mother who was a fantastic cook by any standards, I usually avoid German restaurants outside of German... for fear of being disappointed. We decided to give this a try anyway... and it wasn't bad! My girlfriend had never had German food so I ordered us a variety of standard fare to sample. Most they got right. The Wiener Schnitzel was likely deep fried rather than skillet cooked but still good and reasonably tender. The accompanying Jaegersosse (mushroom sauce) was flavorful enough. The Bratwurst was good, and served with the correct German mustard (there is a differnce). The skillet Bratkartoffeln (potatoes) were excellent and flavorful (and best part of the entire meal). The Spaezle which are a thicker type of pasta noodle mainly from southern Germany were ok (could have used a little time on the skillet as well to brown them slightly). The Rotkohl (red cabbage) was fully cooked and served warm... very good and slightly sweet as it should be. The only disappointed were the potato pancakes... too thin and crispy, greasy, and flavorless even with applesauce... and these really aren't an appetizer as they are served here, but rather another starch alternative to the main meal. All in all filling... Was it as good as mom's? Not even close, but I didn't expect that, and it will do if you are in need of a German food fix and burger'd out!

This is a great authentic restaurant in a nondescript strip mall locale. The food is delicious, authentic and affordable.the menu is focused on sausages and schnitzels but rouladen and sauerbraten are also there. Great place to speak German to the patrons, waitstaff and owners. We had the Nurnberger sausage plate and the Jaegerschnitzel and we're well fed and satisfied. Nice selection of beers and they offer strudel and Black Forest cake for dessert. Recommended for German food lovers

I had Sauerbraten with Spaetzle, as well as Apple Strudel excellent food, I liked the freshness of the meal and speed of the service. Unfortunately the Apple Strudel contained nuts ---- and I'm allergic to certain kinds of nuts --- oh well nothing happened, just saying the waitress could have mentioned the nuts, after all a lot of people are allegoric. The men's bath room could have been a little bit cleaner.

I have been here a couple of times and just realized I haven't rated it yet . My son and I went here yesterday and I started out with a Warsteiner Pils on draft . I had the Haehnchen Cordon Bleu ( chicken ) and my son had the Bratwurst Burger with pepper jack cheese . Both were very good . The last time I came it was my birthday and I had the Jaeger Schnitzel which I really liked . I spent 4 years in Germany in the Army 1985-1989 and miss it . Such good memories , food , bier , travel , and girls . My favorite German restaurant was the Alpine Village which closed around 1996 and unfortunately Cafe Heidelberg closed a few years ago also . It is hard to find good authentic German food and I am not talking about The Hofbrauhaus . Hofbrauhaus has the looks , but the food is bland . Cafe Berlin also does a buffet on the first Saturday of the month , so I will be going back for that .

The chef at Cafe Berlin knows how to make my mother-in-law's Sauerbraten. She passed away in 2011 and eating at Cafe Berlin has brought back some fabulous memories of her cooking and family dinners shared with her.

The German food is fabulous. The menu choices will satisfy anyone. The beer was excellent, service super. So worth the drive!!

My wife is from Bavaria, so we are always looking for good German food and our friends introduced us to Cafe Berlin on our recent visit. It is absolutely the best German food that we have had, since leaving Germany! I can’t recommend it highly enough! We had the Sampler Platter, along with a hot, fresh pretzel and apple strudel with warm vanilla sauce!

There is only one thing to say: the food was amazing! We had the Schnitzel and also the Currywurst and both tasted fantastic and like I remember it from Germany. The Schnitzel was cripsy and the sauce for the currywurst had the right amount of tang and curry. I wish we would have been around to come to the buffet, so I will keep that in mind the next time we are around to visit.

I have eclectic taste and love trying new to me restaurants and foods. Even though it was dinner time the staff allowed me to order from the lunch menu since I was not real hungry. I had the Schweine Schnitzel with a breaded pork cutlet, crisp and golden brown and served with German potato salad and a cucumber salad. Everything was delicious, but the contrast of flavors between the cucumber salad and the German potato salad was my favorite. The service was good and I enjoyed the food.

The bratwurst with red cabbage and fried potatoes was excellent!! The Jaeger Schnitzel was so-so. Didn’t taste like the real thing. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Would recommend. If you have spent a lot of time in Germany you might be disappointed with some of the dishes like the schnitzel.

This has to be the best German food I have ever eaten. Okay, I really haven't eaten much German food before (or after) but this food was really good. Beer and sausages were really good. Seems like a family run business, the kind of food you probably would get in a real German home. Highly recommended.

little pricy but very good food..wish it was closer...maybe they will put one in Henderson.. we would gp there more often

Had three kinds of sausage, fricadels, snitzels, sour crout, cucumber salad, potato salad, straw like pasta, baked chicken, and three sauces and red cabbage. For desert fruit blended in cups and dried up pastries. For the money $25. The buffet could have been better.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food!! Solid German fare and flavors. The server was efficient, friendly and competent. Unfortunately, the “band”, one man interacting with cd music, was loud and of little value in enhancing the German atmosphere. This restaurant is far from romantic or even a place to engage in a conversation. I’d definitely not go here on a first date or for a business meeting. However, if you’re looking for well prepared, properly cooked and reasonably priced German food, this is the place.

Yummy is all I can say for the food at the Cafe Berlin in Las Vegas, NV. My family and I visited there on Sunday afternoon for an early dinner and we were totally blown away!! You do have to like Schnitzel, however, to like the food there. Oh, they also serve a sausage plate, but none of us tried that. We had three different kinds of Schnitzel and I can't wait to go back for more. A good Pilsener Bier on tap certainly washed the food down deliciously! So happy to have found a German Place since I moved here two years ago.

My husband and I have both lived in Germany (my favorite type of food) and love to find restaurants that can at least come close to true German food. We went on a Saturday when it's buffet style only. I'm not a big fan of buffets but decided to try it anyway. I didn't mind the "strip mall" location, most of the time that's where the good food is anyway. However, the "buffet" consisted of about 6 pans of food that was constantly going empty. The schnitzel was very good however I was less than enthused by the other options. My husband and I were so excited to get the potato salad only to realize it was mustard based and Americanized. Big time bummer. Overall the place seemed to stay pretty busy and the staff were very nice.

This was our first visit - it will not be the last. This menu is really German food and its's best. My Swedish wife and I shared the Rahm Schnitzel - we both loved it. Very nice appetizers - try the Onion Cheese Twist. This is a very relaxed place with delicious food. We had a great dinner and need to return - we recommend Cafe Berlin.

We stopped in for lunch at Cafe Berlin and I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a Wiener schnitzel and the soup of the day, German potato soup. Both reminded me of days spent in Germany. Great flavor and nice service. For dessert we ordered the apple strudel. Delicious! We have found a new lunch hot spot which we will add to our rotation. Vielen dank!

Best German food I’ve had in years!!! The owner and staff were Very Friendly and knowledgeable about the cuisine. I LOVE German food and always seek out a good German restaurant where ever we go! Always finding it hard to find! I was raised by a German grandmother who cooked authentic German cuisine…..This restaurant was the closest I’ve found to her cooking…..Very Authentic! We had the potatoe pancakes, sauerbraten, spaezles, schnitzel, and finished with blueberry strudel…..OUTSTANDING…..HIGHLY Recommend 😊

This unassuming little restaurant in a strip mall serves fairly decent German food - Sauerbraten, many kinds of Schnitzel, etc. It's not outstanding, but its palatable and better than another German place we tried in the city. The atmosphere is null - you come here to eat. Still, I would go back and try another meal there.

Excellent place to go for amazing German food. Clean restaurant, friendly service, and good prices. Definitely coming back!

This is a little family owned restaurant on Sunset. Not fancy but the food was very good. I had sauerbraten and added side of red cabbage. Beef very tender and red cabbage may have been the best of any German restaurant we have ever eaten in. Close to airport so it is easy for one last meal before leaving Vegas. This meal was as good as any meal we had on the strip for about half the price. Also order a slice of apple strudel for dessert. It was very good also.

Can I just say I love schnitzel? I had already made up my mind to try this place. It is in a strip mall and nice and quiet away from the strip. Real home cooking! Not pre-fab stuff you find elsewhere. So impressed with the owner and food! I had jaeger schnitzel of course, potato salad and sweet and sour cabbage. Hubby had a burger with a mix of beef and sausage. He loved it! Mine was exactly what I wanted! Delicious! The German potato salad was not what I was accustomed to, but very delicious all the same. It was cold and had some yummy dill and cucumbers. I would go back here in a heartbeat!

This is authentic German food and it is delicious. It is not a fancy place and is quite low key. But the quality of the food and the service are excellent. On Saturday night they also had an accordion band, very nice. We tried the sampler plate (very good), rouladen (interesting), strudels and plenty of German beer. This was more than enough for 3 adults and we took home plenty of left-overs. The cost was about $50 per person with beer being the driving cost. Recommended for those looking for authentic German food.

Great spot for some authentic German food. Stopped in for lunch today and ordered the Schweine schnitzel "wiener art" chicken. Which comes served with German potato salad and sliced cucumbers. Service is always nice and I have never had a bad meal here. I usually order the pork but today tried the chicken. Both are very good, lightly breaded crisp and golden brown. The wait was a little longer than usual today so the waitress gave me a apple strudel on the house! Enjoy the pic and pop in when you feel the urge for some German food done right. Danke Cafe Berlin! I will be back again.

We’re LV locals and enjoy trying new restaurants in our great city...and this was one of them. Octoberfest is celebrated weekends in October. Reservations needed as the restaurant is small. Bar off to the one side. Accordion music for your enjoyment too. We tried the sampler platter and it was so delicious. And, quite a bit of food! Really enough for 3 hungry people. The schnitzel was heavenly and so was the spatzle. A couple sausages, German meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, sauerkraut, cucumber salad and red cabbage. YUM! Hubby enjoyed a glass of dark beer. The Black Forest cake didn’t have the usual great taste...it didn’t have much taste at all, really. We would pass on it in the future. Friendly, professional service all night long. We enjoyed the meal and atmosphere and I know we will be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Proud to call Las Vegas HOME.

I finally stopped in to The Cafe Berlin and now I can't wait to go back. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. I had a Bratwurst Burger that was terrific. The mixture of sausage with beef creates an amazing taste. The potato salad was also excellent. The menu had a variety of things that looked delicious. I ordered a pretzel and an Apple strudel to go. My wife said the pretzel was fantastic. She never saw the strudel, it too was delicious.

Prices touted by TripAdvisor for this restaurant are more than four years out of date. Sauerbraten was advertised on TripAdvisor for $18.99. Real price was $23.99. Waitress said the price was raised many years ago.

Such a wonderful place, great people, and awesome food! From the potato pancakes to the German Chocolate cake EVERYTHING was so yummy! We will be back.

While the menu is authentic the prices and serving sizes were disappointing. Located in a strip mall w/minimal décor. The flat screen TV that flashed pictures of menu items was tacky. $5.99 for a 12 oz. draft, $5.99 for a single, over salted pretzel with a small tub of cheese spread. My pan roasted potatoes and Fleischkaese were heavily salted, the cucumber salad was the only good thing, my husbands Frikadelle were two small patties, blah potato salad. The bill for lunch w/ 1 beer came to over $40. Since this is the only German option besides the tourist trap Hofbrauhaus I hoped for better. The next day we went to the M Casino and had two buffets that included beer, wine, after dinner liquors the works for less than that.

This was so good, i had waited all day and not eaten in anticipation of Cafe Berlin and was not disappointed. Coming from a family of German immigrants i couldn't wait to taste authentic German food again and that i did. Had the Rahm Schnitzel and it was excellent.... tasty with wonderful Spaetzle like mama made. The service was spot on and the Cherry Strudel dessert hit the spot as well. Can't wait to return to Vegas and my favorite Deutche food. Please give this a try if a visitor to Vegas or a local resident, it's worth it. PS. Germany winning the World Cup yesterday did not damper the weekend indeed... Good German food on Friday followed by the WC on Sunday what a weekend !

Since its in a stripmall, it doesn't have the Biergarten atmosphere of the Hofbrauhaus (the other German restaurant in Vegas) but we really enjoyed the meal. We had the sampler platter which came with two schnitzel, two wurst, two meatball like things that I've forgotten the name of, spaetzel, potatoes, sauerkraut and red cabbage. It was all very good. The service was friendly as well. I would definitely go back.

Lunch is awesome. Buffets AYCE is a bit problematic though. Read why. 583619201 The luncheons, for the most part, are pretty good. My absolute favorite is the Wienerschnitzel sandwich. Consistent and very well priced. The bratwurst sandwich is too costly for the quality of the product. Equally so, do not get the currywurst as it is not beef but pork and just doesn't live up to the billing. What is a real problem is their version of the schweinshaxe. It is NOT a pork knuckle and never has been since first placed on the menu a few years back. I tried it three different times to see if they would use the knuckle ( costs more ), and they just don't. A much cheaper version of the pork's upper leg is used and it does not have the taste nor the fat flavor this dish is well known for. The ham hock is the end of the pig's leg, just above the ankle and below the meaty ham portion. It is especially popular in Bavaria as Schweinshaxn.) Photo of the real deal and Cafe Berlin's is attached hereto. The price is what really kills the entire experience. I would NEVER recommend anyone try it. Dinners, I find too expensive for the serving portions. Others may too, as I hardly see it full when I am in their neighborhood. The Warsteiner Dunkel beer is an absolute must if you like dark beer. IMO one of the world's finest next to the Brazilian, Xingu. Since Tripadvisor does not allow repeat revies within 30 days, this review was for two separate visits. On a positive note: There is a frequent diner card that upon receiving 10 stamps ( one stamp for each meal ) a free plate can be ordered. Value limited to average luncheon menu pricing.

This is our 2nd time here, the last was in 2015. The food was every bit as good as I remember the last. The pretzels are very good. I had the Rahm Schnitzel which was very good. The Spaetzle was amazing!!!! My husband had Curry Wurst, which he enjoyed.

Excellent food, but I would give it 5 stars if they served bread with their meals. Family run and they have always been very friendly to us. We are in Vegas a couple of times a year and never miss going.

Low key, good service, delicious food. We recommend jaeger schnitzel, bratwursts, and sauerbraten, & strudel for dessert. Good wine list.

Great dinners, but you really should plan on splitting one entree per couple. We tried the appetizers, which were both very good and a mistake - we couldn't possibly handle dessert!

This was my second visit to Cafe Berlin, the German Food is excellent, so is the service. I ordered the sampler platter since it has a little bit of all the food, for dessert so decided to try the Black Forest Cake, it was delicious. If you enjoy German Food or would like to try it, I highly recommend trying Cafe Berlin.

Great, authentic German food but it felt like being in a factory or garage. The place could use a little more love - maybe cloth linen and more inviting window decorations. The food is very good and you get a lot for your money.

This is a lovely café that serves authentic German dishes. Although the wait for the food is a little long; the items are freshly prepared, so it's well worth the wait. The owner also serves the tables and he's very pleasant. I look forward to my next visit to Vegas, so I can eat again at Café Berlin!

We paid almost $100 for food worse than hospital food. Mine was cold and the meat had the texture of it being reheated in the microwave. My husband’s gravy was awful. I grew up on German food and nothing tasted authentic but even americanized German food is better than this. The potato pancakes were the only editable thing we order. Save your money and go elsewhere.

This little restaurant is where you want to go if you enjoy good German food. Potato pancakes were thin, light, and savory! The Schnitzel is fantastic!

Came here when it first opened. Has done well a year later, and it show. The furniture and decorations were improved upon and sad part is the TV now is only for their own ads and no soccer matches as before. Ambience is pleasant for lunch time. Dinner, not my cup of tea. But maybe yours?

I have had dinner here many times with friends that live very close and it's our favorite place to go for great food when they don't want to cook. My personal favorite is their Jagger Schnitzel. The sauce is also excellent. I had German roommates for a year and this is true German country cooking. Well worth the trip. German food is hard to find in Vegas unfortunately and I would always pick this location over Hofbrauhaus as that place is just a rip off in my opinion.

Our friends who live in Vegas brought us here for dinner. It may not look like much but the food was good and servings generous. If you are looking for some great German food, make sure to check out this place.

We had the cravings for some real German food so, we found this place on search. Having been to Germany myself, while serving in USAF, I know what a real German food taste like...this place was VERY close to being there. I ordered Jegar schnitzel, which came with some tasty pasta, unlike "pom frits" in Germany...with fries. Very close to authentic German schnitzel. Wife ordered Rahm schnitzel with same pasta as mine. She too had enjoyed the taste but, I can not vouch for it's authenticity of taste for I never had it myself. For desert, we shared a cherry strudel. Sweet pasty dish...not too bad but, bit "chewy" and tough to cut with fork & spoon. Over all, we spent $55 for our meals, which isn't too bad for specialized "ethnic" meal in Las Vegas. Service was excellent, promptly recognized and served by a young man with distinct German accent...nice touch for an evening meal. We will definitely return to this little cafe.

Don't be scared away by the location in an industrial area or the strip mall store front next to a Circle K - the food is fabulous! Very plain decor but the service was great and very accommodating and the food was even better. We split a wurst combo plate and it was quite enough food for both of us. And the great part was that it left room for us to split a homemade cherry strudel with vanilla sauce. Delicious! With a couple of German beers on tap our tab turned out to be around $50. We will definately return next time we're in town.
Great choices
Just around the corner from my office, the Cafe offers some great choices. A good friend recommended the Cafe and he was spot on. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. Very busy at lunch time.
