Great food anytime including 2 am!!

By Kristin L |

This was such a gem to find, just seconds away from the Magnolia Hotel! The service was great and the food was stellar! They have seven different flavors of amazing coffee available all the time! The chicken crepes are out of this world!

Wow!! What a breakfast!!

By Jamma2016 |

This is one of those very small places that have THE BEST food!! There were 8 of us for breakfast and they seated and served us quickly. There was so much food that we shared and got to try lots of different things and still had lots of leftovers!! The omelets were perfect, the pancakes (blueberry and plain) were huge, and the fruit was fresh and delicious. I (and all of my family) highly recommend this place!!

Great Breakfast

By Gidnik |

I had the French toast with fruit and it was to die for! Great combo of bread, fruit and a raspberry with cream sauce drizzled on top!

Great breakfast and coffee 24 hours a day

By steve c |

I have been dining at Cafe Brazil since they opened their first location in Lakewood over twenty years ago. Good food, good service and a great concept with serve yourself coffee bar. I recommend sticking with breakfast items, omelettes, crepes and Empanada. The Chicken Empanada is fantastic!

Great For Late (or Early) Breakfast

By Allen G |

In North Dallas you can do much worse than this place for breakfast. They have all sorts of yummy spicy things with eggs and meat in them. Add a dozen (or so) flavored coffees, free WiFi and it becomes a really good place to hang out at all hours of the day and night.

Food is good service can be slow.

By russkwtx |

I got my favorite the spicy chicken sandwich. I love the chipotle honey sauce. Comes with sweet potato fries. My main complaint is that the service is usually quite slow at lunch, so it is a chore to get waited on in a reasonable amount of time.

Outstanding everything!

Great food with a huge menu, great coffee, great service and great atmosphere. Everything was perfect, Angelica was our server and she took great care of us. Will definitely be back.

Great coffee

By Wanda C |

I like having the ability to have breakfast for dinner. They have great menu options and a large variety of coffee.

Not your usual chain food restaurant.

By galongpi |

I found this jewel by accident when the hotel I was staying in charged me $20 for a small yogurt, and juice. I drove buy it several times and never gave it a second look. I'm glad I finally did. The breakfast was wonderful; The staff friendly; and the price was right. If you want a serious plate full you can make it spicy or not. It's open 24 hrs. so there's no excuse for you to ever go hungry.

GREAT SERVICE AT AN END OF THE NIGHT HOT SPOT

By dennis c |

If you happen to rolling up North Central (75) in Dallas and need a cup of coffee you best stop here. This cafe has great quality food at affordable prices. Always a hot cup of delicious gourmet coffee. Don't think runny or dry eggs and bacon..goto the other place. Think of an awesome eggs meal fresh and well cooked with fresh vegetables and a beautiful bowl of fruit. Fruit looks amazing as well. They also have delicious pancakes and french toast. Organic and Vegan meals too. The service is top notch too such as Crystal and Annea.

My favorites here are breakfast items!

By Baldy47 |

Cafe Brazil has been in this location for twenty years. One of many great features is a coffee bar with bottomless cups of coffee in a variety of flavors. There may have been ten options, including decaf versions, on my visit. I had the heuvos rancheros which were excellent! Some guests were having breakfast business meetings, and that works well here. I'll hurry back on my next Dallas trip!

Dedicated evening employees, helpful, decent food.

By fergy1 |

The employees were very helpful in their suggestions, as this was my 1st visit. They were interested and helpful. The service was fast, getting my food in about 2 minutes. The food itself was decent. I had a simple salad, so I did not get a good sense of their cuisine.

Two days, two different experiences

By LopingianTravels |

Cafe Brazil is located near SMU's East campus and is a mainstay of the community. Visiting campus, we decided to breakfast at the restaurant. Our meal on our first visit was enjoyable; their Chili Relleno breakfast was hot, smothered, and very good. On our second early morning when there were few patrons, their Empanada breakfast, although arriving quickly to the table, was disappointing. The toast was less like toast than dense, hard bread; the empanada was baked with a very high ratio of bread to filling, making this part of the meal equivalent to the toast; and the rosemary potatoes were not warm. A 50:50 experience can only result in an average recommendation.

Great late night breakfast

By Yippie-Yi-O |

We've been visiting this restaurant a lot on Saturday nights and the omlettes and pancakes are always delicious. The service is good and staff has made a point to remember us.

Great meal near the George Bush Library

By Karen H |

On a short trip to Dallas to go to the George Bush Library & Museum , we decided not to eat at the hotel for breakfast. We found this spot on yelp. Great value, friendly service, food was delicious. Recommend the pan crepes and enjoy the coffee bar!

Yummy, great location!!

By Williamsland |

I love Cafe Brazil- I haven't eaten here in 15+ years so since we were back in the area opted to eat breakfast here. By all means it is not 5 Star dining but good food in a casual atmosphere where you will see Business Professionals, Couples, Friends or college students eating while studying. It's a 24 hour cafe on Central Expressway near SMU. I had a great Vegetarian Migas plate, they have bottomless coffee for like $2 and have a great variety, I had creme brulee and it was FANTASTIC. I remember eating pie here late night with friends- their pie's are amazing. I would definatly make a stop here again!

Good food

By Khammel |

Great food , good coffee, horrible service, but in this case I would take it for the food! Prices are also good. Waiters are abrupt and straight to the point. Maybe it's just the theme.

Great breakfast spot

By J C |

If you are hungry, this is the spot to go. The size of the breakfast plates are a good size and a small, but decent coffee bar. Service wasn't that bad even after it being packed on a Sunday morning.

Morning date

By mdtaylor67 |

Very good... the wife and I split the plate... they have some really great items to choose from! Multiple choices for even coffee!

Good food and interesting coffee flavors.

By Jill R |

Stopping in for breakfast last Sunday morning. We had prompt and friendly service. They have a large menu and a self serve coffee bar. The coffee bar has 8 different flavors of coffee. Our breakfast was good. We both opted for egg dishes. The coffee bar is a fun concept. You are able to try all of the varieties and have as much as you would like. Our server offered a to go cup for the coffee as well which we took advantage of the offer! Atmosphere of restaurant is nothing special.

Perfect late night spot

By jongarsh |

I went here for late night food after a night out in Dallas and it hit the spot. The tacos were delicious, and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Great Surprise Spot

By Officialfelipe |

My cousin and I stopped by around 1-2am and the server was really nice to us! She made a great Irish Cream Latte! Food smelled good and you could see everyone was having a great experience! I had the chicken, bacon and waffles and they were delicious! Big place, friendly staff (be nice! They’re open 24 hours) and enjoy a special surprise spot!

Great for late night

By K Z |

I always end up getting their breakfast platters, although a friend got their chicken fried chicken plate that looked good. My favorite is THE Sandwich. I also LOVE their holiday blend coffee but really any place with the coffee selection they have is going to be awesome in my book

Relaxed and Socially Intimate

By Constance A |

After just arriving in Dallas in the early morning hours we decided to stop here to eat. First walking in you instantly see its eclectic artsy style from its interior to the employees. The square tables are rather small but big enough to hold all the large platters my group ordered. Food tasted fresh and proportions are quite hefty. I enjoyed looking around at tall the artwork on display and you could purchase and also just watching all the other customers come in and out. Great stop when you're in the Deep Ellum area, whether it be late night or mid day.

Great service. Great food. Great price.

By Michael H |

We went where the crowd was and weren't disappointed. Not that fancy to look at, but the service, food and prices are. Visited on a Saturday morning. After a short wait, we were seated and given prompt attention by our waiter. I ordered the Chipotle Steak and Eggs. There were four of us, but the food came out quickly and food was hot. The meal was fantastic, all were very satisfied. Waiter was very attentive despite the large crowd. If you're looking for great tasting food and great service in a no-frills environment, this is the place. We liked the place so much, we visited again the next day. I ordered the Chile Relleno, which is made with a roasted poblano chile stuffed with home-made chorizo, eggs, cheese and a delicious spicy cream sauce. Even better than the steak & eggs! Again, service was great even thought the place was packed with morning rush.

We'll come back to Dallas just for ...

By Tomhoover |

Our daughter has been attending SMU for the last couple of years ... We found Cafe Brazil on the first trip when we dropped her off. It was an instant favorite . Since she will be graduating in the spring there aren't many more opportunities to visit ( we are from Virginia ) so ... If you are in the Dallas area, you should come here for at lead one meal. Preferably breakfast. Don't miss the migas, and exceptional mix of eggs, chorizo, peppers and cheese. Really it's worth the flight halfway across the country. The French toast is awesome and the crepes, divine! Don't miss the pancrepes either. Check their menu online. Then come eat here! We have never been disappointed!

Great Brazilian breakfast

By Phillip K |

Love this place. Open 24 hours a day with breakfast served all day. Specializes in South of the Border dishes. This morning I had migas, a combination of scrambled eggs, diced onion and pepper, and jalapeño. A side of roasted potatoes. Excellent bottomless Brazilian coffee.

A Disneyland for your tastebuds

By 484karlc |

This is the place where you can satisfy all of your taste buds. Cafe Brazil serves wonderful breakfast dishes which are exotic but not weird. All the items are delicious, as I have sampled them onn previous occasions. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Coffee bar and breakfast

By ScottEP |

Expansive menu with tons of breakfast options. Nice selection of coffees, try one or all of them, it's self-serve. Busy location with good service and plenty of parking, right off the Central Expy northbound access road.

Too Good to Share! Please dont visit!

By Holenone9399 |

Too Good to Share with Others! Please don't stop here !! An old diner turned into a great unique anytime "must visit" to appreciate! Definitely a Café Brazil fan and have visited three times since discovering the place earlier this summer! Without knowing the place you are likely to drive right by it. Sitting just off I-75 North in Dallas near Mockingbird Lane, is this old diner turned into a unique little coffee / diner that provides outstanding food and great coffee options to all. It is an old building with choppy floors and their rest rooms are very clean but small and a little old. Parking is a little tight and you have to be patient. Although there is limited seating 20-25 tables and you can have a 15-20 minute wait, it is worth it. We have been there at 9am and 11pm. Both were crowded, friendly, fun, and we had great service. From Fried Steak and Eggs or Classic Eggs and Bacon Breakfast, to Breakfast Releno Crepes, Texas Feast, and the Breakfast Tacos, you have to try it. We had two great waitresses the last two time there - Susan and Loera! But everyone there is exciting and are happy to help with the menu. Breakfast Releno Crepes were absolutely incredible(lots of flavor and so good), while the Fried Steak and Eggs and Breakfast Tacos were a close second. The menu provides many options and allow you to be adventurous or conservation - ask the waitress for recommendations - we did and that is how we found the crepes. Also sit at the bar if they are busy - service is great at the tables or the bar. You will have 8-10 coffee choices and it is self serve, so try several while you are dining (less than $3 for all you can drink). Also try their Frozen Hot Chocolate - visited late night this week and it was a great late night drink! Go for the atmosphere, the food, the coffee and to relax. You will not regret it. Thanks Café Brazil - looking forward to returning in the Spring when we visit again.

Solid

By txoutdoor |

Had a recent meal here, ordered a grilled chicken sandwhich....it was great! Very well cooked and delicious, the accompanying fries were fresh and hot. Nothing to complain about at all here (although the parking lot in the dark seemed a little dodgy), good service and really good food

Excellent Brazilian food

By revmichaelg |

Must try the Relleno Crepes; true Brazilian food. Flavor, portion size, awesome!

Filthy and un clean dishes

By NiesieJ |

Once inside we were greeted and then seated. After being seated they asked for our drink order. We both gave our order just for our drinks to come out in unclean cups! I ordered orange juice and my cup had dried up red and black residue on it. My husband ordered lemonade and his cup had dried up white spot around it. We informed the waiter and he brought us new drinks. He comes back and takes our order and we just sit back chilling waiting on our meals. But literally 15 min after us order the waiter come and tells us could we order something else their fryer is down. I informed him I didn’t want anything else so he told us we had to wait 40 freaking minutes to re place our order. So my husband really didn’t want to wait that long so he looked over the menu again. By this time another couple walks in and sits next to us. The waiter takes the food and drink order. And to my surprise their meal comes out and it’s the exact meal I requested but was told the fryer was down and it would be 40min. At this point I’m NEVER TRYING HERE AGAIN.

Excellent all the way around

By Trina C |

Family of 4 adults went on a busy Saturday morning and everything was excellent! Just a short wait and quickly seated and waited on. The menu is overwhelming as there are so many good choices. I had the oatmeal special which is skillet cooked oatmeal with chai tea and haven’t stopped thinking about it. Husband had migas which he loved. Others had chicken fried steak and breakfast burrito. All left full and happy. We will be going back. They also have a wonderful self service coffee bar with more than the basics.

Decent food

By russkwtx |

We went here for dinner on a Wednesday night and the place was not full at all. I got a BBQ cheese burger and although it was not cooked medium as I requested (instead it was well done), the flavors were good and I enjoyed it. The fries were crispy and tasty. The wife got crepes and said they were greasy. The main problem is that they never seem to have enough wait staff so the meal can turn into a test of endurance. On this Wednesday, there appeared to be only one waitress for the entire restaurant. She was doing a good job and working hard, but that is too much for one person.

Coffee Service - Not Convenient - thus no 5 stars

By mshbnyehud |

Cafe Brazil is a well-known and popular Dallas option for full breakfast, but this was my first time there. The menu is robust, and I'm sure my visit will not be the last -- even if coffee service here is terribly inconvenient. There's seated tables inside a building that might qualify for "dive" status. No matter, it was easy to access, clean and providing immediate service, except for the coffee. The good news is that there's multiple interesting choices for coffee -- in the case of this visit, there were 6 choices. Nice! Bad news is that the coffee is completely self-service, and located in one corner only of the restaurant seating area. If you end up at a table in the complete opposite end, you must get up, navigate yourself over to the coffee bar, where, thankfully, you can sample of few choices before deciding which you prefer. Then fill up your cup and trek back to your table. If the restaurant is crowded, this is no mean feat! And then of course, if you want a refill, it's back up on your feet, back to the coffee bar, repeat step 1. Ridiculous!! The coffee is delicious by the way...but really..... I chose the loaded breakfast, 2 eggs over easy on top of a heap of hash browns, sauteed peppers, onions, etc. topped with mixed cheeses, including feta. Eggs were perfectly cooked. I enjoyed all the tastes, and the portions were generous. I'll go back a second time, only next time I'll only sit near the coffee bar. If you see the building "leaning" North, you know that's where the coffee is located!! C'mon guys, you can fix this little detail.

Good place to go after an event late night

By 2draw |

If you are alone or with one other sit up at the counter and bypass the line to be seated. Good spot to get a late breakfast ( Don't forget the rosemary potatoes) or eat a sinful dessert. Dinner crepes are also good. The coffee is serve yourself. They have a "bottomless cup" you may fill as many times as you wish. Fresh and a coffee drinkers dream. You may consider siting outside if the evening is cool. Many opted for that when we were there.

You can order breakfast Anytime!

By Rio O |

Pretty cool cafe. It gets busy all the time because of its proximity to the univiversity. You can order breakfast and really good food anytime. They also have another location in Richardson, TX.

Food Worth the Inconvenience and Service

By Tara K |

Casual hangout just off Central Expressway and less than 1/4 mile from SMU and the George W. Bush Presidential Center. It's especially crowded at popular times, like Sunday brunch, so be prepared for a wait. While this particular location's service and cleanliness left much to be desired, the food and coffee selection alone was worth the wait. It almost made me forget our party of five was seated at a table meant for four. We enjoyed everything from standard chicken fried steak to quesadillas and chicken crepes, and took advantage of the great coffees available.

Good breakfast and coffee

By dan665 |

They have an awesome coffee bar and interesting food options. The breakfast here is interesting and unique. The service is appropriate.

Great all day/night restaurant

By 5016DAH |

Long time Dallas (20+ years) ALL DAY Breakfast restaurant that's not national chain. Lots of locations in the DFW area now. Vvery good with the food/service. Great selection of coffees. The hash brown casserole is outstanding. Great place to go for late night eating! Nice selection of desserts too.

Great food, great value!

By Bathfurnituredsgnr |

We traveled to Dallas for business with the family. Everywhere we tried to eat was always packed and overpriced. We found this place on trip advisor. We ordered barbecue salmon, turkey & ham crepe, super quesadilla, country fried steak, 2 desserts, 4 fountain drinks for $60.....everyone loved their entree! We could have easily eaten for under $40 of we chose to:)

Hit or miss

By schellinger430 |

Obviously this place is a staple here and the food is decent but word to the wise. Your car is not safe in the parking lot. It is a common occurrence for patrons to have their vehicles burglarized while they eat via smash-n-grab. Aaaannndd the restaurant really doesnt care. You have been warned. Oh, pecan coffee is good.

All I wanted was a pancake

By Steven B |

It was 4 in the afternoon and I couldn't get the idea of a chocolate chip and banana pancake out of my head. Cafe Brazil solved my crisis.

Worst Customer Service Ever!!!

By Diane |

Worst customer service ever. I can't review the food because we were not able to get seated. My family of five and our friend's family of five were meeting there for brunch on a weekday at 10 am. We called first and they said they don't take call ahead seating or reservations but they were not busy so we'd get a table quickly. My family gets there and our friends were running about 15 minutes later. They said they couldn't seat us until everyone was there. Fine, that's their choice. Then several other people come in and get seated. Then a couple comes in and says they need a table for five but the other three people aren't there. The host sat them! At this point I asked the host why he had sat them and not us and he said they didn't have any tables big enough for us. I pointed out several tables and he said he couldn't seat us until all of us were here. I don't know if his English was bad or he was just rude but his reasoning made no sense! I asked for the manager and he said he would send him my way. The manager never came by so we left. Don't go there and expect good service. The host was rude and incompetent and the manager didn't care enough to come talk to us.

Very Good meal, great breakfast food, good coffee

By Don P |

The breakfast menu is really close to excellent. My favorite is the Brazilian breakfast which comes with an empanada covered with a savory and a little spicy sauce, a couple eggs cooked just right (I like them over easy) and rosemary potatoes (the jalapeno is a nice spicy addition if you want more heat). The coffee is very good with a pretty good selection. Recently we also had the Migas and the classic breakfast crepes and they were very good too. Its ambiance is a nice old fashion diner and the crowd there is a nice mix of people, family and kids. Friendly wait staff that don't try to hurry you out makes for a nice experience. We have been here many times and it is always great.

Great Late night munchies

By paigem53 |

This place was open when other conventional restaurants are closed and it is more than just a basic 24 hr diner. International fare, serve yourself coffee bar, convenience factor A+!!

Go for the coffee

By maggieandersonharris |

Outstanding self serve coffee bar with endless options. Open menu with so many different options. Authentic Chilequilles, fresh and delicious.

One of the Best!

By jim6918 |

I can’t say enough good things about this café. We went on a Sunday morning and we arrived at just the right time. A few minutes later the place started to fill, and there was always people waiting in line. I loved the South American/Tex Mex aspect to the menu. Both my daughter and I went for the Migas, a wonderful mix of homemade chorizo, onions, bell peppers and sliced jalapenos, scrambled eggs, topped with melted Monterrey Jack cheese and served with rosemary potatoes and flour tortillas. It was wonderful, and I had to look around the room to see if anyone noticed me wiping the plate with a tiny scrap of tortilla. The potatoes were very delicately flavored. My wife breaking from tradition, decided on the two eggs, three strips of bacon and a full order of French toast. The menu, quite unfairly describes the French toast as “white bread dipped in cinnamon egg batter, grilled and sprinkled with walnuts and powdered sugar.” Totally understated. The bread is not just some white Texas toast out of a cellophane wrapper. I can only describe it as some semi-dense sweet bread similar to, but better than, Challah bread. The walnuts and powdered sugar were reminiscent of a very good Streusel topping. It was simply the best French toast I have ever had. Despite having gorged ourselves on our Migas. My daughter and I finished off what French toast my wife was unable to. Our server, while very busy, was attentive and friendly. The only thing I wasn’t particularly taken with was the self-service coffee bar. The heavy white mugs they used held deceptively small amounts of coffee. I don’t know which is worse, waiting for the server to come around with the pot, or standing behind somebody who can’t decide on the Snickerdoodle or the Brazil Select, then slowly stirring their coffee and blowing on it, completely oblivious to the caffeine deprived people doing a tap dance behind them. This is a mild point and it won’t affect my overall love of this place. Definitely on my list for return visits to Dallas.

Incredibly Tasty Breakfast!

By Jermoozle |

Came here by suggestions of our concierge from hotel. Service was excellent. Great Latin decor on the walls. Some great Latin breakfast options. My wife and kids got the usual American stuff. Pancakes are huge and tasty. Omelettes are perfect. Eggs and bacon were great. French toast was spot-on. I had the Turkey Migas, if I remember it correctly. It was delicious and with the salsa, it really gave it that Brazilian feel. It seemed quite healthy also. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Nice place a unique brunch

By Miles P |

Great food with a fun assortment of South American coffee, large selection of entrees (egg & _________). Great taste, bit too spicy. I had the Chicken Brazilian breakfast (scrambled eggs, a chicken empanada and Russell potatoes) and would order it again.

Great Late Night Eatery

By Yippie-Yi-O |

I've been enjoying this restaurant since the 1990s. This is a great place to visit after a night of dancing or theatre. The pancakes are fluffy and delicious. The brisket quesadilla is very tasty, as are the mahi tacos, omelettes, and chocolate cake. The staff is friendly and remembers their guests from recent visits.

Delicious brunch and gorgeous coffee!

By Katja B |

We came here every day we could, having discovered it on our first morning in Dallas. Fresh, hearty breakfast with bags of flavour and plenty of options for vegetarians and a range of seriously tasty coffees (their cold brew tastes unbelievable). Two breakfasts together came to about $45. I enjoyed the Veggie Migas and Veggie Crepes with tomatillo sauce, while my partner went to town on the Western Omelette with ham, cheese and peppers. Really nice service as well, with friendly servers happy to help with ingredient omissions etc.

French Toast at its finest

By Jerry G |

Three of us had brunch on September 24. After some great coffee and pleasant conversation were ordered. My Tag Along had the fresh house salad which was large and very good. Our guest had the western omelet. It was large and filled with various vegetables. I had the very best French toast that I have ever had. If we lived in the area I would gain weight eating here because of the French toast. A great place to spend some conversation time with coffee and eating their French toast. Highly recommended

Be early or single

By CoastalVoyage |

Be early and you get a table, be single and you can sit at the bar any time. You will know, why. One of the largewst breakfast choice on the menu nearby. Fast and friendly service. Good pricing. Parkikng onsite sometimes difficult, nearby good possibilities. Very popular place, waiting for some minutes is valuable. Once you sit there is no one to present you the bill early as they are too busy to prepare your meal in perfection. Just enjoy!

Best breakfast food in Dallas - get the oatmeal

By PSully97 |

Great prices, great portions, fresh food, delicious coffee...can get crowded and service can get kind of slow but at least the coffee is self serve. Nice outdoor seating area. Best oatmeal ever. Not just your plain boring dry IHOP oatmeal - this is the real deal.

Not good if you are closterfobic! Crowds, lound, hot...

By BEACHLOVA1 |

Okay...I have been a fan of Cafe Brazil until recently. The last few times we have been to this location here has been our experience: LOUD, crowded (if you don't get there early), hot, service is only so so, the food is not as good as it use to be. The coffee bar has several coffees to choose from but they all have a bitter taste to them...no flavored creams offered...only half n half or milk. For the expense we pay to have a great breakfast/brunch out, I would go elsewhere. I am a little closterfobic and could NOT wait to leave the last couple of times I have visited because it is a small one room restaraunt with people standing around either hovering over your table or watching for a free table. You have to go get your coffee yourself and it is difficult to get through the crowded tables and chairs to get back/forth to the coffee bar. Hot! Loud! They do have an area to sit outside...but they don't always offer to serve there. If it is a pleasant day and they are serving outside, go for it. If we go to Cafe Brazil again it will be a different location.

Breakfast of champions

By Matthew H |

I've passed this place in hw75 a thousand times and never stopped in. Finally made a stop and now I'm kicking myself for not eating here years ago. The breakfast menu is awesome, albeit slightly eclectic. The chicken crepes were amazing! The coffee bar is a nice touch. Friendly service. Lively atmosphere. Definitely needs to be in your regular rotation.

First time going

By Tonster |

First time going here, when we came in we immediately got seated, the server was nice and patient when we were deciding our food. Got the berry pancake and caramel drink. Nice place to eat.

Awesome food...average coffee

By Conrad |

Any of the CB's are great and the food is always nice. The menu hasn't change much (if at all) over the past 20 y but it always a go to spot. Coffee needs to be improved (imo) and could start be serving it hot and fresh instead of in a thermos.

Pretty good

By cousinD |

My wife and meet here for breakfast from time to time when I'm in town working over night. The food is pretty good. There's always different flavors of coffee on rotation. We've been to a couple other locations and their just as good. I believe the Oak Cliff location let kids eat free on certain days. My wife says it's all of them but you have to check with them.

Bad service and bad food

By Veg G |

We had bad service and bad food at Cafe Brazil. Nothing was seasoned, no flavor in any of the dishes. Check out my full review below! http://wp.me/p4RyAk-2J

An early morning, late night, anytime spot......

By GDSPB |

....... to enjoy a well prepared, very tasty meal. We stop in every time we are in Dallas. Service is fast, friendly and efficient. The food, all freshly prepared and tasty. Great coffee selections (self-serve) and if you have the room, enjoy some of their wonderful desserts.

Great late night eats

By water baby g |

Not a lot of places to hit late at night but you can always count on Cafe Brazil. Casual eating - breakfast or dinner. Great desserts & coffee. Been around for years and for good reason.

Best breakfast ever

By Regina C |

I was in the area for business and didn’t like the hotel restaurant so went here. It was amazing. I had the banana bread French toast. Service was great, food came out quickly. Would come back=j in a heartbeat.

Go to place for bottomless coffee

By nishizak |

Went to breakfast after running the loop at White Rock Lake around 9:30am. It was almost full but was able to get a table for 2. It was busy but the wait staff was really good. Smoke Turkey Crepe was really good. Went well with dark roast coffee.

good late night dining

By nitebird |

The breakfast items re great- try the migas! Interesting crowd, friendly service.

Great Coffee

By aricaballero |

Coffee is worth it. They have a coffee bar with different coffee flavors and coffee kinds. Food was not extraordinary, maybe because I'm mexican and not a lot into Tex Mex food, but it's fine. I'll come back for the coffee.

It was okay. Even though...

By missamyQ |

It was okay. Even though I saw the line, I thought it would be worth the wait, but it isnt. The food is mediocre..and kind of bland in flavor. I had some kind of breakfast migas thing.

Early Breakfast

By Faisal N |

Friendly service and good food. Lots of coffee to refill and a big variety, but I chose the Brazil option without any flavoring. Combination plates that include big and fat pancakes that are too much to finish! But very noisy, of course, because lots of people grabbing breakfast on their way to work. We went there twice within a month's time.

Just killing time

By SCarson2015 |

My daughter was in town and we had a few hours between flights on a Friday afternoon. She is vegan and we needed coffee - so Cafe Brazil was convenient and fit the bill. She had the vegan tacos and the waitress asked if she wanted to add avocado slices at no extra charge. My husband & I split the seasoned chicken nachos and they were actually pretty good - extra sour cream for not additional charge. The coffee always smells so good & they let us take one to go at no additional charge. The place on Central is starting to run down compared to the other locations in Richardson/Plano, etc. But the staff was very nice/attentive - especially since the place at 3:30 in the afternoon was almost empty. The music was a little too loud but I'm sure it seemed louder because the space was so empty.

Open Late!

By SkyDragonfly |

The customer service here was of the highest quality and the food I ordered was delicious. I highly recommend this place. The hotel Manager and other workers recommended here and I’m very glad they did. It was an excellent choice.

I have been a big fan of Cafe Brazil for years, but this visit was a big disappointment. Waiter was absent for long periods, unpersonable and barely functional. The food was acceptable but just barely. Not at all what I had remembered in past years.

Awful

By Albert R |

I don't know why is that popular, was the worst restaurant I have gone in Dallas. Don't recommend it at all

Nice Pick

By Earla M |

I had the migas which were really good. Everyone ate everything. Chorizo tacos, chicken nachos and a barbecue burger were enjoyed; and the staff was really friendl

Had a great time!

By Steven K |

The food was amazing. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere is romantic. I don't think I can anything bad about this restaurant.

Great breakfast place

By SusanC |

Great place for breakfast or coffee. They have a coffee bar where you help yourself. Food is excellent and a great variety.

nice

This place is fantastic! I needed catering for the office and found it on CaterlyDelivers.com. The food was on time and the service was impeccable.

We have become regulars

By Bill W |

My wife and I visit this location about twice monthly, and always have the same dish. She loved the chicken crepes and I get a build your own omelet. Coffee bar has 5-6 varieties. A nice place in SMU area.

Good food but wrong name

By Namie78 |

If u are expecting to buy cozinha or pan do quejio u r totally wrong, this place you will find lots of Tex-mex food and not Brazilian ! Honestly I don’t know what was the concept of this cafe but I must say it’s food comfort food! Fish tacos are so good!

Dishonest Business Practice

By Michael C |

The menu states that school teachers get 15% off. I've been a teacher for 21 years. The waitress refused me the advertised discount. I had her take my ID to the manager. The manager also refused me the advertised discount. I wasn't going to fight over a few bucks in from of my date, but since there is no discount and you're lying, take it off the menu. I haven't been back, I'm not going back, and when other s mention the place, I let them know to stay away.

Nice lunch

By williamwH9178PK |

My wife and I had lunch at Cafe Brazil while in SMU area of Dallas. They always do a good job... orders are correct and delivered hot and fresh.

Nice place, open 24 hours

By biztravchicago |

This little cafe is just down the street from the Radisson Central (Soon to be a Holiday Inn) hotel. Filled with students from SMU, the place has good local dishes, coffee, and service. Would definitely recommend as a low cost, local food option to anyone traveling in from out of town

Great environment, great food, great coffee

By mikieaction |

I cannot express how much I love this place, great environment, good music, awesome food The servers here are very attentive, never have to ask for a refill, they offer anything you could possibly want I've been to this location more times then I can remember On top of the excellent quality of service and food they always add a artful, delicious twist to the dish!

Great breakfast

By Larry J |

This popular eatery is very busy. They have very interesting south american breakfast offerings which you will love! On our first visit we had a new waiter that lacked proper training so it took way too long to get our food. The next morning we had an experienced waiter and the service was very fast. Great selection of serve yourself coffees from the coffee bar. I wish every breakfast restaurant had this feature.

Dallas Vacation

By Sassynknwit |

Absolutely Amazing Food!!! We traveled from Kansas for a 4 day vacation. Ate here only once, but I regret not going back. Its Delicious!! Service is great too!! Close to Magnolia Hotel where we stayed. I would recommend to try this place!!! Plus they are open 24 hours!!! I want to travel back to Dallas just to eat at Cafe Brazil!!!

Always good

By LABill75225 |

This is a solid choice whether for breakfast or lunch. The place is a bit wacky which makes a fun place to dine. Good prices and many choices. Will be back many times.

Great place for coffee and reasonably priced casual food

By Heidi C |

This is a family favorite. We love the crepes, pancakes, coffee, hot chocolate and smoothies. We go regularly and are never disappointed. The prices are very reasonable, there is a coffee bar with at least 5 flavors and you can go back as often as you want for more. There is good wifi if you need to go there to study or work. The staff is friendly. And they have delicious desserts too. What more could you want?

Horrible, Big Rats and Horrible and Cold Food!!!

By Dr Patricia D |

I cannot believe this place has food that looks so Divine but is So Atrocioulsy Nasty and Dirty. I did give them a 2nd try before writing a bad Review. Everyone is allowed to have an off or bad day, but this place was actually worst the 2nd time. Much worst, horrible wait staff, Nasty and Filthy Dirty!!! OMG After eating our Cold and Nasty Breakfast food, a friend and I went out on the Patio so she could smoke .....I wear Glasses (Bifocals) and I had taken my Glasses off so I could relax and I still saw the RAT. I was not sure of what I thought I saw at first...but as it kept coming closer just jumped up on the chair and Screamed so loud that the other patrons moved and came to see what was going on.....he owned that place...he kept on moving slowly across the Patio. This was AWFUL GROSS HORRIBLE TRIFLING NASTY!!!!! The waitress did not even move. She was taking a couples order, look to see why I was screaming, heard others asking me what was wrong (I was standing in the chair by then - Needless to say, Anything that moves faster than me makes me scream and jump).......She heard me say it is a Rat WHILE POINTING TO IT and they could all see it, and she did not move. IT WAS NORMAL TO HER. HER DEMEANOR WAS AS IF I WAS MAKING TO BIG A DEAL OUT OF IT. OMG! Not a lil mouse, or a lil Rat....This BUDY had been EATING GOOD AND LIVED THERE. HE WAS HUGE!!! NEVER, and I do mean NEVER am I going There again. The lighting was horrible on the Patio and I now know why. I have Never seen a Rat that big....and I am from the City. A City with Alleys and I have Never seen a Rat that Big or Move so Slow. Even a Poisioned one. Nor have I ever seen a Rat not run when he see's or hear's people. HE owned this place. YUC! I am livid.....Absolutely Livid and Terrified to eat in this location again. Terrified!!! I am Terrified to eat in the Neighboring Resturants......Have they ever heard of Pest Control!!! I am sick just thinking of it. Atrocious!

Weird is Embraced

By 241blair |

The first one I went to was in Deep Ellum when I was in the music business. This is where you go to get sober and great coffee! It was open 24-7 and the food is really good. Great brunch location with good that's well prepared and presented. The atmosphere is very casual...that said, it is worth the trip. Real food...very healthy portions and always presented with style. Did I mention the coffee...yum

Delicious breakfast

By Angélica H |

Fresh made to order breakfast, one of my favorites when coming for work. Besides they have Wi-Fi and fast service which is a relief when on the road. Portions are big so make sure you go on an empty stomach. Highly recommend it for breakfast (it's the only meal I've had)

Always Great Food

By William E |

I have loved Café Brazil for years - always making it my choice for breakfast when in the DFW area. Only a 4 star because the service at this location was a little slow. Lunch took nearly 90 minutes for four people in a half-full restaurant. The food quality makes that a little easier to overlook. Migas and Black Beans are the best in the DFW area I've had!

Breakfast anytime and more

By Angela L |

After seeing the parking lot of this little joint packed most mornings, the group I was in town with and I decided to try it out. Boy, are we thankful we did. They were so busy and with great reason! Let's start with the atmosphere. You instantly get the diner feel when you walk in. A handmade specials board lists food and coffee that makes your mouth water. The Brazilian theme is seen in the vibrant colors all around the diner. Now let's get to the important part, the food. The menu is the perfect match/ blend of American and Brazilian cuisine. When you finally decide one (or two) things you would like to order, you will not be disappointed.

Love!

By Ashley B |

I've been coming here with my husband once a week for the past 10 years. I recommend building your own omelette. It's my healthy go to. The sweet potato fries are killer! The grilled cheese sandwich with avocado is another favorite. They also do their cheese fries on sweet potato fries if you ask. So good! Everyone here is super friendly, too. I love the coffee, too.

Comfort food, it's awesome

By TheFunFoodie |

I love Cafe Brazil. My favorite is the french toast. There are a lot of little things that you need to be patient with there, like, you need to get your own coffee in a confusing line, sometimes your server forgets 1/2 your table's orders etc. But the food is worth the inconveniences. Eggs Benedict, Pancakes, carrot cake, omelets, french toast and every yummy thing you can think of is on their menu. It's awesome.

Great Coffee Combinations

By ATexasCityGirl |

We were in town visiting family nearby, walking distance, and this cafe came highly recommended. The food was mediocre at best and the service was slow though it was not busy. The only great thing about it was the coffee selection is not your typical options, better than Starbucks--AWESOME! I highly recommend mixing the snicker-doo and the Mexican mocha together OMG, Uh-MAZE-ing!!! The food being mediocre, the coffee being wonderful ($2.50 endless cup) the price for the food is high and that is why it's a four star rating and not a five. Would I go back if I were in town again, yes but not for the food, the coffee!

Delicious food and great selection! But iffy service

By Katherine H |

I love Cafe Brazil since it's open 24 hours a day and offers a lot of different options. My favorite thing to get is the veggie omelette of crepes, but everything I've tried has been great so you can't go wrong! They also have a lot of different types of coffee, which are fun to try! The service is usually pretty awful though and I'm pleasantly surprised when it's decent.

Delicious!

By Roxann G |

At 0700 on a weekday the restaurant is not busy at all. Met my DC associates here for breakfast before our big meeting and they were beyond impressed with the service, food and ambience. The waiter was courteous and attentive, the food, as always was cooked to perfection and very flavorful and the coffee was bottomless. I highly recommend this location if you have folks in town at the area hotels.

Great breakfast spot especially for coffee lovers

By WBJM2009 |

Food was good, service was average but not too bad. They have a coffee bar that is self serve and has a variety of flavors to try. We went at 8:00 on a Sunday morning and it wasn't too busy - started filling up as we were leaving at 9:30. Great place for quick, casual breakfast.

Excellent Food!! Coffee Heaven!

By WacoBU2013 |

Great selection of coffees. I just love the chance to try new coffees. Breakfast was outstanding. I enjoyed the Brazilian breakfast. I ordered it because the empanada was something new for me. I was not disappointed. The chorizo was flavorful. Would go back again and again. The pumpkin pancakes were soooo good.

Good food within walking distance

By Lori B |

Café Brazil was recommended for a good place to eat that is within walking distance from the hotel. The service was excellent as was the food. We went back for dinner a second time and received the same excellent service.

Huge Menu

By RitaR902 |

We were here for lunch. The food was of good quality and friendly service. The menu was huge with a wide selection of food and coffee. Coffee is self-serve and all you can drink.

Loved this place to bits!

By jeyni13 |

I had the best breakfast ever here. Diner ambiance with unlimited flavored coffee refills. Had the chicken steak breakfast and it was really good. Too bad, i was only able to visit once. The servers/waiters were very corteous and attentive. No cons, all pluses. Will definitely be back.😀😊😜😉

There are several locations in Dallas, but this one offers the best late night people watching!

We have been here a few times with friends and family. Not one of my favorites but we have always enjoyed. We've been for brunch a time or two and lunch or dinner as well.

The place for breakfast 24/7

By melina1222 |

There are at least four other Cafe Brazils in the DFW area, but this is my favorite. The service is fast and the menu's reliable. I particularly like the pancrepes, veggie deluxe sandwich and vegetarian tacos. They also serve some rather wonderful french fries. My only complaint is that the serve yourself coffee bar isn't always looked after that well - last time I went, the coffee was lukewarm and several flavors weren't available. If the place is noisy, ask to sit next to a window. You'll be behind the music speakers, not in front of them.

Kid friendly

By Charles V |

Great variety of breakfast/brunch options. Homemade bread and killer french toast, coffee bar(self serve). SMU fave so get there early or count on a few mnts to be seated.

Hidden Gem for Breakfast

By Leona L |

Fresh fruits, great coffee, real eggs ...what more could you ask for at breakfast. I had the fruit pancreepes with eggs and bacon as part of the classic breakfast. It was so delicious!!!! Sometimes you go out to eat and you think I can make this better at home. This was just like home made so you know you are eating real nutritious food.

Great overall

By Oscar L |

This is the best place my family and I have been to ever. My kids loved the French toast. My wife and I loved our breakfast. I hate to compare it to ihop but it is at least 10 times better.

I'll not be back

By Mibrca |

I travel often for work. When in Dallas (homebase) I eat at CB 1-2 a week. I order the same thing. Everytime. The food is (almost) always excellent. The service however has always been hit or miss. Good when good, the worst possible when not. One of the items I "always" order is the Spinach Salad. When attempting to place my typical order today, I was told the Spinach salad was not on their menu. I explained I'd had one earlier in the week. Told again, more firmly, it's not on our menu SIR! Good. GFY. I'll be eating at buzzbrews going forward and encouraging everyone I know in the city to join me. This is the beauty of the free market. Good luck CB. I'll NOT be seeing you.

One heck of a menu

By jollyhollyCypressTX |

Ok, beyond being overwhelmed with amazing food choice, the coffee bar is lovely! I had the chicken crepes. The spicy creme sauce was spot on, the texture of the pancakes my kids had was fantastic! My mom had the fish tacos which were tasty and a great portion. We also had the chocolate layer cake which was hoovered up in 30 seconds! I've been running between Houston and Tulsa for 20 years + and googled a good restaurant and this one came up! Dang, I'm glad! Fabulous alternative to chain restaurants. Rayna was our server and could not have been more friendly. I love the South! Below is a pic of my chicken crepes before I finished them off! There is something for everyone and not just general fare, it interesting and yummy!

Great Value and Very Friendly Service

By TutinsPony |

A busy cafe with good atmosphere, friendly and very efficient service and a great menu for all day eating. We had breakfast and my power breakfast was very tasty and I had a taste of the pancakes as well. There is a coffee bar with a selection of 7 freshly brewed coffees, great idea.

Horrible Service, Mediocre food

By Haley |

Upon arriving the outside of the building was clearly unkept and pigeons all around eating food. As soon as we walked in the door we were sat right away, however the host did look annoyed and brought out a dirty high chair for our daughter. It took eight minutes to be even acknowledged by our waitress. Our waitress was very short with us, she was not personable at all and wanted the whole order in one go and didn’t bother to ask if we wanted to course out the meals, and brought the apps and entrees all at once, she seemed as if she wanted us in and out. As soon as the food hit the table she asked if all was good and left right away. She did check up on us after a few minutes, but did not come back up to the table until she was ready to drop off the bill. The food was pretty mediocre, we got a poblano pepper crepe, the migas and the eggrolls, out of everything the egg rolls were the best so I do recommend those. My husband and I wait tables for a living so we know what is expected and we also have grace for people that have bad days, however I will say everything can come out HORRIBLE but if your waitress is personable and sweet, most people will forgive it. Just a heads up to everyone else, $50 lunch for Cracker Barrel service and ok food

Yummy breakfast!

By Galina P |

I ate here with family that lived in the Dallas area. The food was very good. I ordered the Chia oatmeal which came with a blueberry muffin and I do believe that was the best muffin I have ever had. I love that they have a "coffee bar" and you can choose from different coffees. The Southern Pecan was the best! Enjoyed eating here and definitely will come back.

Coffee on Steroids

By Wermuth |

Let me start by saying that the smell when you walk in the door is "to die for". That would be enough, but they also have food. Sandwiches, salads, and breakfast all day are some of the offerings. I had an American Club sandwich on ciabatta bread. I know that it sounds simple, and was, but it was delicious. The service is fast and friendly. Great desserts are also served. We went for lunch and it was wonderful.

Open 24 hours with delicious food but lacklustre service

By Katherine H |

The service here is always bad, and if it's decent it's a pleasant surprise. But, the menu's selection is huge and it's open around the clock, so I go here quite often. I usually get the build your own crepes (with lots of veggies inside), which comes with fruit and toast and is delicious. Also, if you're in the mood for dessert, their frozen hot chocolate and fried ice-cream are both great options!

Tasty food, good coffee!

By Adrienne P |

We took our family of 7 (5 children, 2 adults) here for breakfast. We eat out frequently and were pleased with our experience. The food was very good, with nice portions, and reasonably priced. The service was very friendly, but was at a little slower pace. Which was really not a big deal because we were not in any hurry. They have a great coffee bar, with bottomless refills. It was within walking distance from our hotel, and we will definitely go back! Great meal!

Good food, service can be slow

By russkwtx |

This is one of my favorite places for lunch in the neighborhood. The food is consistently good. My favorite is the spicy chicken sandwich with the honey chipotle sauce. I get extra on the size and some sweet potato fries. It is really good! Service at lunch can be slow because they are always busy and seemingly always understaffed. So be patient.

Mother's day Brunch

By KIMBERLY C |

Since it was a holiday, it was busy. But I was a little disappointed with our waiter. He had told us at the beginning that we would have a half hour wait after he put our order through. We sat there and chatted. About a half hour went by, My mom asked about our order, He "with a bit of an attitude" said "I told you it would be about a half an hour". Aside from that incident. The food was very good. No complaints there.

Next time we'll try breakfast

By Taylor |

After church we stopped for lunch, having never been to Cafe Brazil before. The house was packed, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated and our service at the table was reasonable for the time of day and busy-ness. The menu is huge with tons of options. The healthier options for kids was a nice change of pace from chain restaurants. We all had lunch and they were good, but the breakfasts around us looked amazing! Nexxt time, regardless of time-of-day, we will be trying breakfast. Definitely try the coffee bar for $2.79. And, if you are in the mood for lunch, the Trio Salad is great.
