The food was decent, the service was slow, the order was incorrect, and validated parking is $20 for lunch Decent food They got the order wrong, took 3 requests to get it right No apologies

Three of us met at Cafe Fig, in the newly refurbished Hotel Figueroa in DTLA and I cannot wait to go back. Parking is directly next door. The lobby is warm and fun without being over the top (I'm talking to you, every hotel in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills). We were welcomed by the loveliest desk staff - it was as if we were old friends. Cafe Fig is just off the lobby with various bar and seating areas, all cozy and private and comfy. I swear I wanted to sit in every chair and booth in the place. I can only review the avocado toast because that's what each of us ordered. It was perfection. Who knew I loved tomato jam and pickled onions? Because now I do. Go go go. Oh and as we were leaving, the woman at the desk told us to have dinner at Sparrow, their Italian restaurant. You can bet I'll be there soon!

This was an amazingly easy and comfy place to eat. Classy. The service and the food were awesome. And make sure to say hello to Stephanie, the manager! She makes the experience a lot of fun. Vegan-friendly, but I wish they had a tofu scramble or something like that! Still, great stuff-- the avacado toast ( I took out the egg and cheese and added spinach) was awesome. Thanks, Cafe Fig! I'll definitely revisit the next time I'm in LA Downtown!

wonderful atmosphere and staff. Food was delicious, wide variety of morning coffee and latte drinks. Overall great experience. Went on Halloween and I loved seeing all of the staffs costumes.

The food was absolutely amazing!!!! Due to us traveling with our toddler, we opted for room service. Even though we had to settle for room service, the food was absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really excellent breakfast available. Options for restaurant, outdoor or lounge seating. Great menu with lots to choose from at reasonable prices. We only had breakfast twice there. Being from the U.K. the portion size is more than we are used to so we felt nicely filled for the day. I recommend the omelette or the waffles. Everything we tried was very tasty.

There are many choices, and the tase is good, staff is good and price is reasonable. It can be very crowded, so difficult to find a spot.

Although this restaurant is perfect for people watching while having a drink or two, our brunch experience was nothing short of wonderful. On a very, very busy Sunday, the nice hostess sat our party of 6 at our reservation time. We loved the menu selections and our server (Tristan) was great with taking our orders and following up on any needs we had. Thank you for a very pleasant dining experience!

We tried their breakfasts and lunch a couple times. Liked it a lot. Food was great and service was attentive. Casual atmosphere. Very comfortable and relaxing. Great for dining solo or with family/friends there.

We had friends in from out of town staying at the JW Marriott in downtown LA and wanted to meet them someplace close to their hotel for Sunday brunch. Online, we found the Cafe Fig, located on the ground floor of the Hotel Figuero, an easy walk from the JW as well as the Ritz Carlton. We were a party of four. We made reservations for an 11 AM seating, arrived a few minutes early but were seated immediately. We had a choice of three seating areas - one outdoors and two indoors. The few outdoor tables faced the street; the larger of the two indoor areas was pretty standard though with nice spacing between the tables so you could carry on a normal conversation, unlike some eateries in LA where they bunch tables one atop the other. The third seating area consisted of a handful of tables positioned a good distance apart in the open lounge area as you enter the restaurant - with plush, super comfortable chairs and a more intimate atmosphere. We opted for that and it proved to be an excellent choice for a nice, comfortable, quiet location to enjoy our meal and catch up. If one of those tables is available when you arrive or if you are able to choose one upon making your reservation, I would suggest requesting that. Service was fast, friendly and very attentive, including a floor person (not sure of her title) who made the rounds periodically to make certain everything was okay. Between her and our excellent waitress, we felt very well taken care of. Brunch is served daily from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Two of us ordered the Veggie Breakfast described on the menu as "Lily's eggs your style, Bub and Grandma's sourdough, roasted tomatoes, portobello mushroom, avocado, spinach, Meridith Goat feta." ($24), one ordered the Avocado Toast described on the menu as "poached lilys eggs, cotjia cheese, cilantro, watermelon radish, chili, salsa, lime" ($20), and the fourth ordered the Classic Breakfast described on the menu as "Lily's eggs your style, Bub and Grandma's sourdough, Beads & Barnetts bacon, roasted tomatoes, potato ($24). Portions were adequate without being excessive and we each enjoyed what we had ordered. Prices are very reasonable for downtown Los Angeles. We were very pleased with our choice of Cafe Fig as a place to meet, visit, catch up and enjoy a good meal. If you find yourself in downtown LA looking for something similar, I recommend you check out cafe Fig.

Since our hotel did not have a restaurant, we walked to the Hotel Figueroa nearby for breakfast. Café Fig is inside the hotel. My sister chose the Breakfast Burrito one morning and the Salmon and Bagel the next morning. My g'daughter chose the Waffel one morning and Caesar's Salad the next morning. I chose the Omelet both mornings, it was sooo good! We made reservations which I recommend, as this restaurant fills quickly.

We had breakfast here twice during our stay. A lot of options. And large portions. Food was of good quality and so was the coffee. We fell in love with their Chilaquiles A bit expensive but worth it

The Cafe Fig was a pleasant surprise - in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Worth driving to from the tourist areas of Hollywood for a delicious meal.

Had breakfast here while staying at the hotel. Food was good and loved the coconut tea. Service was a bit odd - waitress just kind of mumbled at us.

I had an amazing experience thanks to the incredible team here. Arlene, the host, was absolutely outstanding — so warm and welcoming, she truly set the tone for a great visit. Emily, our server, was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Luis at the bar served up some of the best drinks we’ve had — crafted with care and great energy. A special shoutout to Alondra, the manager, who was so attentive and helpful. It’s clear she leads by example and cares about both the team and the guests. This team worked together beautifully and made our experience unforgettable. Thank you all for the outstanding service — we’ll definitely be back! Bar magnolia

We went there twice last week because of an event in the area. The services were excellent. Food and drinks options are not super (it is tailored for pub fare) but tastes and quality were great. It was comfortable and relaxing sitting there. Noice levels not high because the setup is spread out.

The space is beautiful and the service was perfect. The varied and quality food, which is appreciated when you have been away from your country for several days. The prices are perhaps a little higher than in other places but it is worth it. I recommend it without a doubt.

Cant handle their business— waited an hour for a online order that was supposed to be ready in 20 minutes. Was told that they just had too many orders and if there was nothing that they can do about it would not expedite my order when I asked to talk with the manager the manager wouldn’t come and see me. They really need to get their act together

Had a quick breakfast here with family that was in town for a conference. Simply the best eggs benedict I've ever had. Everyone was very happy with their meals and the service was outstanding. Yes, they put a 20% service charge on automatically, but we were informed of that and frankly I would have tipped that anyway. Merci Beaucoup!

This restaurant and cafe in the lobby of the hotel Figuroa was a very inviting space. The indoor space is beautiful (a seamless extension of the lobby), with some available outside first-floor patio seasoning. The food was good here, albeit with hotel and downtown LA pricing. This is a good place for both hotel patrons, as well as for the general public.

The seating was comfortable and ambiance relaxing. Fireplace, holiday decorations, art displays were appreciated. The service was top notch.

Stayed in a different hotel in the area, the staff member Ron was very welcoming and professional.. Cafe menu was on point.Had waffles and omelette that my Mother enjoyed.. Planning on returning but to stay at Hotel Figueroa love the history.. Ron Told us the history and now were curious…

Arlene the host was amazing! Even though it was busy, she kept such positive energy and made sure my party of six got seated. The service was incredible — every staff member was kind, attentive, and welcoming. Café Fig truly goes above and beyond. Highly recommend this place!

Great food, great coffees/lattes and fun cocktails. We both had a great meal here. The service was just barely sub-par, but the menu and food made up for it.

I stayed at the nearby Ritz Carlton, and wanted to have a light meal in the neighborhood that felt local, so I visited here. I had pancakes (chocolate chips), and my husband had a hamburger. It was reasonably priced and delicious, and the service was wonderful, so we had a great snack time! However, we didn't need dinner. lol The pancakes were made with salted butter, so they were a bit salty, but they went well with the sweet pancakes. (My husband doesn't like salty sweets, such as chocolate or waffles, but he said this was delicious, so even those who don't like it might find it easy to eat.) The service is very good, so I recommend it to tourists too!

We had three really good meals and service here - a breakfast and two dinners. We normally avoid hotel restaurants - usually stupidly expensive and mediocre food. But reviews were pretty good and it was the weekend of the miserable cold, rain, snow and we were very happy not to venture back out at night after busy days. And not a lot of eating choices in the neighborhood. Really good food that seemed priced fairly: fried chicken sandwich, amazing frites, steak, roasted salmon. Yum apple baked dessert with ice cream. I didn't want a whole big breakfast and just asked for two eggs and toast which they accommodated. They have one menu all day that has something for everyone. Highly recommend.
Go just for the experience of getting inside the marvelous Hotel Figueroa building
We grabbed lunch here on our last day of attending the LA convention center. It is conveniently located next to LA Live. It is a classic early LA interior from the 20's. It seems to mainly serve hotel guests who utilize it for breakfast or brunch. We did not experience what dinner would be like. It is a pretty straight forward menu with things like omelets and salads. The service was somewhat erratic. The waitress appeared to have never heard of iced tea. She came back late in the meal to offer it saying she had not heard of it. When we ordered basic things they had to check if they still had it (at 11:30 AM?). The food was simple and perfectly fine. I think I would come here for a breakfast and only that. There are better restaurants close by.
