This restaurant is one of my favorites to go to in Austin. The cheeseburger is amazing. I've only been disappointed by the plum gin drink, as it's extremely sweet and full of syrup; however, the time I got this drink, they comped it for me at no charge. Great service and great ambiance. I'm seriously obsessed with the layout and decor of this restaurant!!

We grabbed breakfast here when we were staying at South Congress Hotel. The food was good but definitely a bit pricey since it's a hotel restaurant. Our server was obnoxiously slow. A couple times she wandered past our table without checking on us even though we were trying to make it as clear as possible that we were finished and ready for our bill. We were also in a hurry and when we asked the hostess to get our server because we were in a rush, our server still managed to be as slow as possible.

I loved the chicken! Who says that? Chicken is supposed to be boring - but not at Cafe No Se! At Cafe No Se, chicken is delicious

Check out the menu... If you have kids, may not be your stop. Even burger was a little too fancy for 10 yo. But for foodies - welcome to mecca! Go to favorites: Quinoa Bowl, Tuna Poke, Pork Sandwich. All fabulous - not cheap eats but full of flavor and SAVOR IT! After lunch head to Uncommon goods (across street), then walk to "I love you so much" mural, the Amy's Ice Cream and back. Fun fun fun!

Fresh food and ambiance - exactly the kind of place we were looking for for brunch. Quinoa bowl and biscuit egg sausage sandwich were great - the potatoes were tasty. Fresh juice and coffee press finished off the meal. Walked right in at noon on a Sunday. Would definitely go back...and will make sure to order the coffee cake!

My husband and I ventured to Austin for a getaway weekend. Loved this little breakfast spot! The food is spot on! I had avocado toast and switched the egg to over medium. Perfect for me! He has the sweet potato hash; noting perfect combination of sweet and heat. We both had cute cups of coffee. The space is super cute!!! Love all the details in the lights, furniture and shelving. The server was so kind and knowledgeable about the menu. The space was COVID diner friendly. They have taken socially distancing and employee/patron safety into account. Highly recommended.

Three of us went her for a late dinner. Patio seating was very nice. Good selection of beers. We ordered the grilled shrimp sandwich No Se burger, and pulled pork sandwich. Everything was delicious. We shared a side of malt vinegar fries and they were good. It was a bit pricey, but not more than anyplace in that area. Nice atmosphere.

Restaurant in Hotel South Congress. The decor is trendy and retro at the same time. It works! The service is prompt and efficient. No complaints. We had brunch here during SXSW. There was no wait so that was key. The food was good. I had the egg sandwich. The bacon had a nice flavor to it. I found the biscuit to be too dry. The potatoes were tasty enough. All in all, average food. Also had a bloody Mary which was spiced just right. This place is a decent joint to stop in while bouncing around South Congress. There are other restaurants just as good on SoCo but you will have decent experience here.

We came on a Wednesday morning. Our server named MARY saw us come in, made us wait for 15 to 20 minutes before even giving us water or asking us what we wanted to drink. The restaurant was 30% full with tons of empty seats and it was unaccetable for her to ignore us. She even served a table who came in 10 minutes after us. Maybe it was because we are of Asian descent because it seemed like she purposely chose to make us wait. It’s 2019 and Austin is a progressive city so this behavior is abhorrent. I hope the management of this establishment thinks so too. What is MORE unacceptable is that we told her about the wait (I believe in giving feedback), and instead of aplogizing, she snapped and said it was not the case. I think service recovery should be expected from a hotel establishment. The rest of our meal was ruined because she showed us so much attitude, practically just tossing my coffee on the table when she had to interact with us. She didnt bother to explain the dishes. Overall food was okay. Service was horrible. Mary made this our worst experience and meal in Austin. Hope this establishment can hire better, more polite, less arrogant and racist people. I will never be back.

We had an early res, it wasn't crowded and we ordered right away . Our salad was served after our drinks but it was a long wait for our entrees. The wait staff wasn't really busy. They were congregating by the bar and talking. After talking to the waitress we finally got our meals. They did comp our second round of drinks to compensate so that was a nice gesture. My cheeseburger was very good and the fries were excellent! My wife had the chicken which she said was very good. We shared a beet salad that was exquisite so we will definitely go back. Work on the service guys!

The grilled laffa bread app may be one of the best bites of food I have personally ever had. Oh my! The flavors are never ending. The hummus comes with yummy fresh veggies too. Everything seemed very fresh. My tuna poke bowl was good, but not the best I've ever had. I would still go back to eat at this place in a heartbeat. Great service. great atmosphere. top notch

Hotel is 1603 on Congress and the cafe No Se is part of the hotel. You can eat inside or out where there is good shade. Excellent brunch menu. Food a good level above the usual. Cheerful and engaging staff. Great selection of juices and good coffee. Original dishes- one of us had the avocado toast dish and the others an excellent yellow fin tuna salad with a difference. The tuna was wonderfully raw! Well positioned on Congress near the shops and the bridge. A great find

Had a late, fantastic lunch with 4 colleagues. Very chill, visually pleasing place -- feels super comfortable. The food was great. Started with a Hummus appetizer which was very light and yummy. The toasted "pita" was perfect with oil and herbs and the right texture. Split a Quinoa Bowl which had a really fresh-tasting pumpkin seed pesto -- it was subtle and I really liked it. Also split their Torta sandwich which is made with a super tasty, rich port -- the flavors between the pork and the spreads were awesome.

Bright easy going restaurant with an interesting combination of menu items. I wanted to try everything. The greenhouse salad with turmeric vinaigrette was delicious. Looking forward to going back!

I did enjoy the avocado toast and french press coffee. Its a light enjoyable atmosphere. On the high side for breakfast.

We were staying at the South Congress Hotel and went to Cafe No Se for breakfast. Menu was great and food was fresh. They have lovely tables outside too if the weather is right. Highly recommend Cafe No Se.

small menu, but wonderful dishes. Great atmosphere and a great way to start the day. Loved the decor!

We sat outside at the community table, we being my wife and three kids (7 and under), and had a wonderful experience. The food was really good. Kids ate it no problem. Portion sizes were great. Drinks were a bit pricey, but nothing out of the usual. We all shared the hummus plate as an appetizer and that was a huge hit!

The food was healthy, light, and delicious. They also have great coffee. My only hesitation on cafe no se is the price. Appetizers and Salads with prices in the teens at lunch are a bit overpriced.

Fitting location on Congress with buzz and appeal. Inviting cosmopolitan ambiance, friendly host and waiter. Clean restroom!!! Had the Cafe No Se Cheese burger with fries ... flavorful, unique, and filling. Recommended.

Just like the title said. Bright, attractive room. Great for lunch vibes. Located in the South Congress Hotel.

I arrived with a reservation for 13. We were seated immediately, and the atmosphere was nice - like you were dining in someone's home. I ordered the salmon, while others ordered quinoa bowls, salads and other items with added chicken. The chicken, which cost $8, came on a separate plate, rather than added to their dishes. The ora king salmon with green garbanzo beans, fresno chile, cucumber salad, and fried sunchokes was actually a bowl of broth with the beans and chile floating along with 3 pieces of cucumber zest and 2 slivers of fried sunchokes. The salmon was literally sitting in a bowl of broth. If I had expected a soup, it would have been fine (I guess). For the price ($21) I was not impressed.

This is a very trendy, cool spot to grab breakfast, coffee or a snack. The food is delicious and clearly prepared with great attention to detail and presentation. I've never had anything here that I didn't enjoy but the menu is quite limited so I end up eating the same few things every time. Like many of the newer restaurants, the portions are small so I tend to add side items to build out the meal. Nothing wrong with that...but I was there the other day and breakfast for two fo us, with tip, was $60. So it's not for the budget conscious, I would say. There's a lot to like about Cafe No Se and I will keep going back. But, it does have some limitations that make me choose how often and who I share it with.

Cafe No Se is a great place for a delicious breakfast in a light, attractive setting. The menu is a nice twist on the usual breakfast offerings and it is really hard to decide between the delicious choices. Service is excellent - warm and friendly. Highly recommended.

Good choice to meet up with friends at lunch as parking not always easy on soco. Valet parking available at the lovely south congress hotel

A little pricey, but we enjoyed our food. Not big portion, Grand Slam eating. More for a refined palate. We really enjoyed ourselves

What a cute spot in a great location! The food was delicious but the portions are quite small. My friend and I both had the tuna bowl and had room was their baked alaska dessert - and this was brunch! Having said that, their baked alaska was delicious and would highly recommend having room for that in your appetite!

Stopped by during ACL. There was wait at every other place. Cafe No Se quickly seated us with no wait. The vibe in the place is like your in a friends home. Community table in the middle and small seats around the rest of the restaurant. Also small outside patio that would be great for people watching. The brunch menu was delicious. I order the avocado toast with a poached egg on top. Paired with an arugula salad that had a excellent light dressing. Friends had a egg and toast combo and a smoked pork sand which! Excellent salty pork. Everything was reasonably priced! Wait staff was friendly and prompt.

This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip! The food was outstanding, the service very good, the ambiance relaxing, chic, open and inviting. How fun to have tired foods I would never have paired together, and in such a delicious way! I actually came home and made a batch of Romesco for my family and co-workers, and they loved it! Way to go, Cafe No Se! I'll be seeing you, agian!

This was a good spot for lunch on South Congress. We came here mostly becuase we'd heard good things, and the wait wasn't unreasonably long. I've also been to South Congress Cafe and Magnolia, which I would say were comparable, with cafe No Se being the newest/flashiest of the three. I really liked my avocado toast and sangria. Would probably come back.

This looked like a funky hotel so we went in for breakfast and were not disappointed. Serving all the usual American breakfast staples, loads of orange juice and coffee for those of us jet lagged. I love the different breakfast to order when you are from out of town. Great to try something new. I had sweet potato hash, two sunny eggs, crispy pork belly, kimchi, mustard greens, jalapeño and it was fantastic, great way to kick the jet lag into touch in get on with the day. Great service too. I will be back next year. Thank you!

I will definitely stay at the hotel next time I'm in town. The restaurant is fantastic and had excellent service. Outdoor seating as well as indoor. Extremely comfortable and welcoming kitchen like environment. Lovely brunch items selection during lunchtime. Did not see the dinner menu. God selection of wines and cocktails. Had the avocado toast with egg and mix salad. Perfect for light lunch. I also ordered the cheddar chive biscuit to share and it was delicious. Friend had the chicken Mirasala which was a large portion and VERY good. Nice hit of spice Parking for the hotel is in the garage and the restaurant will validate. Non-smoking and handicap accessible.

Super cute restaurant! Had breakfast one day and brunch and other day! Delicious!!!! Staff was super nice!

We wanted to make the visit to Cafe No Se in the newer South Congress Hotel. We heard they did a good job with breakfast but wondered if they would be a good spot for dinner. And it is! Prices here were very appropriate for the food quality. Service was OK and not memorable good or bad. The food was surprisingly good as the environment seems a little out of character for the location but it is funky enough to use that as a way to make it work. You can eat indoors as we did since it was very humid, but there is outside seating as well. The bartender was on point. The server was fine. The food is prepared in a kitchen not viewed by diners which is not the norm for new restaurants across Austin. Who cares - the food was really great. So we definitely will be back to No Se.

A person from the restaurant came over to our table of six and said that soap was missing from the bathroom and had we taken it? He went on to say that it was 100 dollar soap and they would like it to be returned. We offered our purses for a search, but he declined. WHO does this?????!!!

Can you please, please keep making the fried eggs with romesco toast, arugula and speck?! SO good. We'll be back.

If you want to fall in love with breakfast all over again, this is the place for you. From the coffee, to the traditional French pastries, to the delicately plated eats...We ate here every morning and never steered away. Delicious.

Stayed at SoCo hotel and loved the room service option from Cafe No Se. Avocado toast was pure perfection served with arugula and a soft boiled egg

I have eaten at this cafe three times now. I enjoyed the burger that is no longer on the menu but was very disappointed in my beet salad that arrived with two, count em, two small beet discs on the plate. I have to say that the Basque Cake that they have for dessert is OFF THE CHARTS good.

This place is amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful and they have many gluten-free options. The oatmeal pancakes were fantastic!!

The restaurant is lovely to look at, and perfect for our group of six. Something for everyone. I enjoyed the avocado toast. Many in our group tried the chicken and enjoyed it. It's not too noisy, so good for conversation, too.

The food was pretty good and we enjoyed that it had some uniqueness to it. I got a hot chai latte that was like warm which was disappointing since it was a colder morning and our service was a bit slow for a slow weekday. We sat for some time without being checked on, especially at the end of our meal. I would eat here again.

The food in here is excellent; I especially recommend the octopus. Decent wine selection, and a small but excellent menu in a restaurant full or Nordic character. A great place to stop when you can't eat anymore tex-mex or BBQ!

Went here for Christmas Eve and the food is so good, so fresh, and so tasty....And the place isn't nearly as hoity-toity as most in Austin are nowadays!

The restaurant sits at the bottom floor of the hotel. They have seating inside and outside, where doggies can dine al fresco. The mid-day menu was very limited which was very disappointing. The only substantial item on the menu was the cheeseburger. The hummus was okay. The tuna poke with jalepeno was good. The cheeseburger was downright outstanding. It was juicy, full of flavor and very satisfying.

had a great healthy and filling breakfast and our service was impeccable. Immediately attended to. Coffee was superb French Press! our server brought our dog a bowl of water and we were given a perfect table in the sun outside. very comfortable and fitting for a sunday morning!

Great latte! Everyone so welcoming and friendly. You will be happy that you chose SoCongress Hotel and Café No Se.

The food portion is very small. There are less than 10 items on the menu to choose from. The restaurant was located in a busy area but had only a few customers. after we left the restaurant i walked to home slice to get a Slice of pizza. The staff is friendly. I dont plan to go back ever.

Wonderful spot for breakfast & reading the paper. Great service. Very busy but the light and atmosphere is cheery and food delightful.

Some innovative fare like their quinoa bowl with poached egg, garbanzos, pesto, fresh vegetables. My wife had the bigeye tuna poke and it, too, was excellent. Service was quick--counter to some other reviews here--but then it was not at all busy and we were there mid-day. The rest of the menu looked good, too, and we'd like to try it again.

We went for breakfast. The food was very tasteful. Great combination of flavors. The orange juice was freshly squeezed. The breads are out of this world. The coffee was the best! When in Austin it’s a must.

It wasn't busy when we arrived, but told all the tables we wanted were "reserved" strange as no one dined there in the time we we seated! The hostess service was hopeless, as I said every table we wanted to sit at we weren't allowed to, had to wait while the table was cleared down. We were eventually seated in the half empty restaurant and then waited and waited! Still no menus, caught the attention of the hostess and asked for a menu. After a while she came over with water and still no menus! I'm sorry but come on the menu is a pretty basic requirement. Would hate to see what the service was like when they are busy! Food was ok, loved the decor and vibe but certainly wouldn't return there again!

My wife and I had Sunday brunch here on a tip from friends and we were thrilled! We had understood there may be a wait, but there's an adjacent bar perfect for mimosas while waiting for the table - yum! Cafe No Se has there own takes on traditional breakfast items, something you'll want to try - just go with it! Definitely not a bacon-and-eggs place, this is a bit foodie but really easy to enjoy. Try the ricotta pancakes!

Lunched there today. We agreed that the food looked a bit better than it tasted, in general. However, the ambience and location are great! I'm going to go back to try it again. ( I had the scrambled egg plate which was ok... But a touch odd w the addition of corn!) Excellent Latte!

Great, tasty food. There are healthy options (and fun, not so healthy ones as well). Great atmosphere. Perfect for a morning breakfast.

Typical hipster restaurant. More Californian than Austin, but still chic. Food was good and fresh. Delicious breakfast potatoes, but served with ketchup rather than salsa or a homemade sauce. Drinks are skimpy for the price - stick with water. Chef's don't like to accommodate requests.

OMG, serioulsy? It only took 14 years for me to fall in LOVE with a restaurant in Austin. Don't get me wrong, we have fantastic places here but this one blew me away. You just have to go and find out yourself. I am not giving anything away. Delicious in every measure of the word!

Once awake from a heavy birthday celebration evening, we needed some vittles. We were staying at South Congress Hotel, so checking in here was pretty easy choice. The venue itself is modern chic and just like the rest of the hotel, very well appointed. I was really taken by there little stools custom made it appeared to fit the restaurant decor. We seated ourselves and over popped our waiter. We ordered a couple of coffees, which were served post haste. In the most unusual coffee glass/mug with no handle I have seen. The mugs were not hot to the touch, but it felt a little awkward at first. I ordered he cafe scramble, somewhat of an odd sounding concoction of eggs, pine nuts, spinach and ricotta.. with a side of bacon. Somehow all these things worked well together. Suzie got an egg thing if I remember correctly. My breakfast was good, simple and flavorful. Ordered another latte and kicked back. Our waiter was not intrusive but actually there when we needed him and gone when we wanted to chill with ourselves. I guess we could of left the hotel and found cheaper vittles. That wasn't a concern for us. Job done. Add to list Edit

We had the cafe no se burger. It was over done and didn't have that much sauce. The flavor was OK. The fries were kinda mushy. Not my favorite.

Wonderful breakfast foods. They will also make you a simple eggs and bacon breakfast on request if your dining companion prefers more traditional fare. Loved every bite!

Breakfast today blew my mind. Poached eggs, Green garbonzo beans, Curry, Quinoa, Bok choy, Cilantro, Lime, Toasted cashews. Oh my goodness. It's even better than it sounds. The service was great. Atmosphere was great. Wife and kids enjoyed the stuff they got too - pancakes, banana bread, and egg sandwich.

Very cute cafe. Small menu, but great food and cocktails. Located within the South Congress Hotel. Would recommend to others!

Had lunch here recently with some of my family. I generally am not that huge a fan of new wave cooking, unless it's good. This place was GREAT! It a very comfortable and pleasant space. Really terrific food and service. It was kind of difficult to make sense of the variety of "different" dishes on the menu. I even Googled a few. The waitress was very helpful though and I opted for torta, pork confit instead of a cheeseburger. I was NOT disappointed. The sandwich had a variety of excellent ingredients, not the least of which was the delicious pork. The Plantain Chips were a nice change as a side and were very good as well. We all shared a plate of grilled laffa bread with an amazing mix of spices in olive oil. We all tasted a bit of each others dishes. The quinoa bowl with grilled chicken was marvelous too. As was the Tuna poke bowl. I didn't have any of the desserts (I'm off sugar), but everyone who did raved about them. The few sips I had of my companion's latte were enough to make me realize that this place really has some fabulous food. I will definitely go back again.

Cafe No Se is a small cafe connected to the South Congress Hotel. It's in our neighborhood, so we decided to go there for weekend brunch. My spouse had the avocado toast, and I had the brioche french toast. Though we both drink decaf coffee, the server told us that the cafe was out of decaf (or maybe they just didn't want to make a pot of it). The avocado toast was nothing to write home about...avocado on toast--no special spices or anything else that distinguished it. The brioche french toast was a 4-inch cube of fried brioche topped with a pineapple ring and a half maraschino cherry. It was actually pretty good. Service was blase. I don't think the server wanted to be there, or else the cafe's training program doesn't stress that this is a service-related business. We had to track down the server for drink refills, interactions were expressionless, didn't really qualify as "service" other than taking our order and delivering our food. It's worth considering, though I'd hope for someone else as a different server next time around to see if that changed the tenor of the meal. Prices were mid-range+ for what we got.

This is a new restaurant in Austin. This has to be one of the best restaurants that i have visited in Austin. if you like lamb, you have have to try the lamp ribs. i am sure that you will agree that it is the best lamb that you will have ever tasted. careful when ordering wine. if you just ask for a glass of red wine,it may cost you $14.00 a glass. look at the wine list first. aah, you have to save room for desert!!! They make their ice cream on-site and the orange ceamcicle is to die-for. may also want to try the chocolate flan. if you like cinnamon rolls, there is another cafe in the hotel that i feel has a cinnamon roll, on the breakfast menu, that is better than Cinnabon.

Friend & I stopped here since we were staying at the South Congress Hotel, & we were so happy with our visit. They have great spins on classic salads, soups, sandwiches, etc. We both had the No Se Cheeseburger (delicious) & malt fries (even more delicious)! They have both indoor & outdoor seating, but indoors was quite loud even though it wasn't at capacity so we opted for outdoors instead. They had a nice warming device overhead, so it kept us cozy even with slightly cool temps. Overall, this is a great spot & very close to the shops on S. Congress. Prices are reasonable for Austin & the quality of the food was undeniable.

The food was ok enough (skip the poke bowl) but the service was sub par - I don't love a smothering waitstaff but our server barely checked on us. The outdoor seating area was very nice. Personally, I think the interior decor is a little over done, but it has a fun feel to it.

We stopped here for a quick bite and some wine one hot afternoon, and then stopped by again for brunch the next morning. We really loved the raw tuna dish the first time and had great, informed service by the girl who waited on us the first time. We weren't as stoked on the burger and the egg sandwich for brunch. It was good, but nothing to write home about. However, the atmosphere is super cool and is worth checking out at least for a snack and a drink!

Ate both breakfast and lunch on different days, all our dishes were great. Sit inside or out, good staff.

The service was attentive without being overbearing, and every staff member was friendly and welcoming. The food is absolutely outstanding! I ordered the avocado toast and a seasonal salad, and both were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Will return!

Great atmosphere. Lovely food. Excellent service and espresso. A bit on the posh side but if that is what you are into go for it.

High quality modern room interesting food. Good staff. a pleasure to have breakfast here each day. Views of St Congress and passers by. Outside eating area on sunny days.

The gnudi was delicious!!! So fresh...really love the hint of mint :). My coworkers got the avocado toast and loved it too!

We shared the pancakes and porchetta sandwich, the pancakes are just light and fluffy perfection and the porchetta is just the best blend of flavor and texture between the bread, soft meat and crunchy pork skin. Just a really good breakfast.

Great light breakfast. The croissants are light and flaky with a delicious fruit filling. The pancakes are unique - hard to describe - and very good. Great coffee press and fruit bowl. It's hard to do better.

We enjoyed a cocktail and breakfast/brunch along the streetfront. the food was very good and the service excellent.

I ate here with a group on one of the nights I stayed in Austin. The food was fine, and ok value, but the menu is not particularly comprehensive. There are better options just a stones throw away on South Congress Ave

My boss was in town and we wanted to try something new, so enter Cafe No Se. Parking is easy, it's in the South Congress Hotel's underground parking garage. (Take your ticket with you so CNS can validate it) Staff were very friendly, food and drinks were quick to come out. I had the cheeseburger with the bacon and over-easy egg on top options added (something I never typically do), and it was phenomenal! The fries were great, too! Price were reasonable and I think the two of us with drinks (non-alcoholic, unfortunately) was just under $40. That also included a to go iced latte. Give this place a try! We were there off-lunch hours at 2pm and there were only a few people sitting outside and one guy in the restaurant on his laptop, that was it! Great ambiance with music in the background, but quiet enough to talk about work and not have to yell. I look forward to visiting again.

Amazing food, great selections for the whole family, and very friendly service. Would definitely come back here again!

My teenage son loved the pancakes. He also tried the charcoal filtered BLACK lemonade. He enjoyed it although it could have been a little sweeter.

For a casual cafe they sure try to be snooty. From the host barely acknowledging us to the waiter, the food runner, the manager. Everyone walked around with their nose in the air and a stick in their butt. Food was ok ,my hash was so-so. Had much better at Paperboy food truck. Actually just go to Paperboy you will be much happier. My wife's sandwich (Torta) was very good, she did enjoy it

Cool place with decent food however I felt that it was over priced for what you get. Staff was nice and the location is great if you're out and about Austin. End of the day I'm not rushing back there. However it wasn't a bad experience.

A lovely, bright and light South Congress dining choice with measures of elegance and grace. Had a tiny apple butter Koign Amin which was good, but too small... followed by a tuna pokè bowl that was definitively good. Accompanied by an $8 French press for two. $10 for a small bottle of a fresh local juicier... I was in shock. That’s just too much for 8 ozs of juice.

We had a delicious lunch in a lovely atmosphere. There is outdoor seating but we chose to be inside the pretty dining area. The service was good, food well prepared and delicious. Pretty limited menu but there were several breakfast items that could still be had at lunch.

Stopped in for a brunch with a group of friends. Located on South Congress, this eatery offers indoor and outdoor seating. It's family friendly and has an excellent variety of options for all tastes. Because the restaurant isn't huge, you may have a wait for a table. Put your name in and explore some of the great shops close while you wait. The food is quite good and the staff is very friendly. I'll definitely go back.

Went there last night on Christmas Eve and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Interesting dishes that were different. My sister in law, wife and myself started with the olive appetizer with "squeaky" cheese. You will understand if you ate it. It was excellent. If you love olives it's a must. We also had the burger, lamb, and shrimp sandwiches which were also very different, and tasty. For desert we had ice cream bar and prfiterole. Also quite different and extremely tasty. Our server was well versed in the menu and provided suggestions and insight on the various dishes. Others have mentioned the limited menu, which I thought as well when first sat down. However, the creativity and portion sizes over came those thoughts. I suggest you give it a go.

I hate not giving a tip, specially when the wait staff were so awesome, but at those prices, with that quality, I'd have to assume they make enough money to pay the servers correctly. The "Loaded" BLT...loaded with what? Certainly not flavour. And a $16 for a bacon and baby spinach toasted sandwich with ridiculously over salted fries? No, just no. Then to be charged $8 for a very ordinary cup of coffee...I think my server was even embarrassed. I get charged $4 elsewhere, and even that's expensive taking into account the exchange rate. No.. I'm afraid this cafe is a hard no on my list of amazing places South Congress has to offer.

We went for brunch but they seemed to have more lunch options than breakfast/brunch. Baked goods were excellent. Service was fair. After eating, I stood up and noticed stains on my slacks! Waitress said sorry but I really think they should've done more. Is it too much to ask for a clean chair?!

the food was fresh and tasty and the service was excellent. its the hotel restaurant. great for lunch

We had breakfast here and the menu is going for a refined brunch style. The coffee we had was nice French press (maybe a little bitter) and the breakfasts were fairly good but not very filling. The service was professional but the whole experience just wasn't outstanding.

Absolutely delicious, fresh, creative and super satisfying. Great service and coffee too! Surrounded by a neat little old town feel, downtown.

had pancakes and granola, very good the location in a busy hipster chic street. they have croissant and it's definitely a must if u r for brunch in the area. might be needed a bit of patience o get a table.

One of my shortest reviews ever: Avacado toast-beyond amazing Pancakes-Different but fantastic Coffee-fresh and flavorful Fruit-ripe and tasty No hyperbole necessary because it's that good and definitely worth the wait. I just wish we lived here.

Drinks were good. The patio offered great ambiance, even though we did get a bit misted by a passing thunderstorm. Location was great and easy to get to from anywhere on South Congress. Service was really prompt, accommodating, and friendly. Food was good. My waitress recommended the burger. Overall quality and taste were pretty good all throughout (though I'm never a fan of American cheese). Fries were good, and the avocado toast was good. Definitely give it a try, and I've heard good things about breakfast.

Very nice cafe with a great interior and nice staff. Great coffee and nice breakfast menu. Recommended

A bit of a wait but worth it. cocktails were innovative. we went for brunch and the French toast was amazing. kale salad with crispy rice so good.

A friend and I grabbed a late lunch here on Friday. We both had the avocado toast and we both ate every last bite. It was delicious! I had a Bloody Mary that was okay. It wasn’t my favorite. I prefer thick stout Bloody Mary’s and this one was more watery and lemony. But I did get a latte to go, that was delicious! I’d definitely go there again.

Rotten experience, staff who couldn't listen and take our orders correctly. They seemed to listen without hearing, repeated same question several times and still got things hopelessly wrong. Gents standup toilet not working and sit down toilet overflowing.

Good value- -and quiet charm - attendant staff - recommended for those staying in sister hotel - not too busy.

We went out for music and then came here for dinner. It was really nice. I had the rabbit, my husband had the vegan cauliflower salad. The other people with us had skirt steak, lamb, and beet salad. All of the dishes were great. Atmosphere was pleasant. Took a tour of the hotel after dinner. It is very elegant.

We ordered the cauliflower soup. It came and probably 20 seconds later our mains came. If we finish our soup… our mains are cold. Felt very rushed. Salmon burger was smothered in sauce. Almost sweet. Side Salad was fresh but didn’t make up for poor service and saucy salmon

We were after a healthy breakfast and this place came up in SoCo. Really liked the decor and design of the cafe, it had outdoor seating but we chose the cool interior. We took the granola and red quinoa porridge, both great portions, super tasty and just what we wanted. Service was great and our waitress very helpful on where to go next, over to Zilker park. Highly recommend.

Staying at the hotel and went over and had a great breakfast . .. granola was outstanding and pumpkin bread was good except for the topping being a little too salty. French press coffee was really good.

"I ate art" - that's what my wife Susan said after eating this amazing dessert (coconut ash pavlova, blackberry, basil, verjus toasted meringue, pistachio). All the food was as exceptional as the dessert - and the vibe in the café is totally Austin "cool". It's definitely worth the trip.

Great experience! We ordered the garlic board, the greenhouse lettuces salad, salmon & hanger steak. All were absolutely delicious! Our server was very helpful & attentive as were all the staff members. We will be back!!

Hotel No Se is getting to be my "go to" place for breakfast in Austin. Great breakfast menu along with efficient and friendly service. Try the ricotta pancakes. The WIFI is very good there.

Friday 4-28 at 2PM, we had lunch at No Se. They do take reservations and have 3 hour complimentary valet parking (nice!). The restaurant is in the South Congress Hotel. It has nice big windows over looking the sidewalk and a small covered patio that wraps around the corner. We had a reservation for 2PM and our table was ready. The place is small and it was packed. There were 3 bridal parties of 20 each going on at the same time. They are known for their cheeseburgers. They just got named 1 of the top 10 cheeseburgers by Iron Chef. I ordered the No Se Cheeseburger. It was awesome. 2 patties, American cheese, homemade bun, homemade bread & butter pickles (like your grandmothers). Nice, simple, messy cheeseburger. My friend had the Grilled Shrimp Burger. Chopped shrimp formed into a patty and grilled. Same bun with Asian slaw, cilantro and sliced chile peppers. The peppers were perfect. They had a hit of heat and nice flavor. We cut our burgers in half and shared. I liked the cheeseburger best but the shrimp burger was fantastic. It had a ton of shrimp and we both loved it. The shrimp was his favorite; the cheeseburger was mine, both excellent choices. Make sure you order the French fries. Hand cut and fried to perfection. Crisp outside, creamy inside. Get your own order; they’re too good to share. We also had dessert. He had Mexique Chocolate pudding. It was topped with grilled pineapple, course ground coffee and cocoa. I had the Hazelnut Profiterole. A big puff pastry filled with hazelnut ice cream. It came out in a huge dinner sized soup bowl surrounded by apricot, toffee, and chocolate bits. Then the waiter poured this chocolate sauce from a tiny pitcher on the bits. Reminded me of flambé without the fire. A very nice touch. My friend said the pudding was best (it needed a nice port to go with it but they don’t serve any) and I thought the Profiterole was the best and the presentation was unexpected and fun. We also had a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc with lunch and a glass of sparkling rose with dessert. They have ½ priced bottles of rose in the afternoon. Wine is reasonable. The service was great but it did have a moment when 2 of the bridal parties were leaving at the same time. Understandable. The service was still great. The food was outstanding and reasonable. The Cheeseburger is $13 so you could eat for $20. A bargain. For $12 more you can add dessert. With the complimentary valet parking and the awesome food, Cafe No Se is a great choice. I think I have a new lunch spot!

Great place for food in a beautiful & design place Very good location in the heart of soco Desserts are incredible & original

Loved the look and feel of this place. It's very rustic chic. They only have an espresso machine, so the coffee is a tad strong. I had the egg scramble and didnt care for it, but my husband had the egg sandwich and loved it. Everyone raved about the pancakes and croissants. Would definitely go back, but would try something different.

Placed in front of me with deliberate ta-da, was the beautiful display of a dynamic dessert. Convinced by the pitch of “a bite of winter,” I couldn’t wait to experience the perfect juxtaposition of delicate, hearty, comforting flavors and textures all at once. Starting with the maple ice cream, I gently parted the ball of chilled cream, scooped a little crumble delight, chai poached pear, and fresh fuzzy leaf of sage before admiring with anticipation the glorious bite I was about to enjoy. With the small snow globe on my spoon, I was ready to taste the promised bite of winter. The heat of my tongue turned the ice cream into a sweet sauce that gave dew to the gingerbread cake. The poached pear, supple and spiced, nestled in with the candied nuts, all swirling around as the snowflakes of crumbles gleefully danced around my mouth. I swallowed, but not before another scoop was to my lips. It was indeed a warm winter’s night. Comforting from the inside out. xo Melissa #forkmegood

Got my email back. Went to pick it you. Restaurant lights were on and doors opened. After waiting 10 mins a guy says we are closed. But they took the order. The hotel is so unorganized.

Such a fantastic meal!! We were there this morning and it was delicious! Great butter croissants, amazing quinoa oatmeal, lovely fresh fruit plate and I had them slice avocado and put it on toast drizzled with olive oil and sea salt - so good! The lattes were good; the servers were so nice and the restaurant was super cute! I would go back!!

We met family from out of town and everyone of us had an amazing meal! Outstanding service and food. We did have a twenty minute wait, but worth it!

Very good food, welcoming ambiance, great patio. A bit expensive, but considering the location, not unreasonable. Definitely some posh things on the menu, but plenty of regular food done well. Good service and attractive presentation. Although it is in a hotel, it's frequented locals.

Very Cozy place to sit, eat and chill. Great food and wonderful wait staff! Both chicken meals asks late wee fabulous!

We were recommended to try this cafe by one of the hotel staff, Asher. We assumed at first that he was simply promoting the restaurant because it is part of the hotel, but because he went into such detail about the dishes he had tried and enjoyed, the cafe intrigued us. It was a great recommendation. The food for fresh and flavorful. The menu was small, which I always like because I can have trouble making choices! The wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The desserts were my favorite part. The pastry chefs at this cafe deserve great recognition. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

This little place is so perfectly wonderful I don't know where to start. It's attached to the S Congress Hotel so it has the hip factor. The staff is wonderful, the food is so fresh and so good I almost ordered a second to go. This was our first spot on the trip and I should have gone back for every meal - nothing else compared the rest of the week. Everything was perfect, went with several for brunch and everyone raved, every plate was almost licked clean. The egg dishes are divine, the pancakes are perfection. Go, Go, Go RUN....go as often as you can! You will not be disappointed. Try every dish.

Saturday brunch (order from the brunch menu brunch) was excellent, from the mimosa to the ricotta banana pancakes to the pork sandwich (fresh bread!) that I tried. Kouign amann pastry quite good. Casual atmosphere, great prices.

On a rainy Saturday afternoon we stopped for late lunch or very early supper. No Se would be good anytime. I had the monster cheeseburger which was delicious and more than I could eat. My wife had the Grain bowl which she said was very good and filling. My granddaughter had the breast of chicken with herbs and cleaned her plate. Don't forget to try the sweet potato beignets--- so good!

What a dream for breakfast! I loved the cappuccino's and the barista knew exactly how to make it the way I like. Extra dry baby. Very cute spot with delicious and healthy food.

While walking the SoCo strip, I wanted lunch - not just pizza or bar food - and Cafe No Se was just the perfect spot. I was overheated from th walk and the staff took total care of me, set up up immediately with a place to sit, plenty of water and the most delicious salad I've had in forever. With a generous piece of grilled chicken on the side, the salad was The "Greenhouse Lettuces" with avocado, tiny orange cherry tomatoes, shaved carrots, radishes and other vegetables, little sunflower seed crackers, and a turmeric vinaigrette. The staff was lovely, the ambience of the cafe was cool and inviting. I would return for lunch in a heartbeat!

This is an easygoing cafe on the grandest avenue in Texas. Lunch and brunch hours can be chaotic, but around my usual weekday lunchtime of 2pm, it is a pleasant place to be. I usually opt for the shredded kale salad or poke bowl, though the burger is not to be missed if you have but one chance to eat here. It's a double-double and worth every calorie.

This has the most amazing, tasty healthy Breakfast I have had on my Road Trip in America. I am from Australia & use to healthy heAlthy. Love it & great Coffee & service 100% nothing was to much. I recommend the Avocado toast or the red quinoa porridge.

I loved my Granola and yes Kouign aman (en direct de la Bretagne). Good staff and good food. I also loved the design of the restaurant.

The place is sophisticated and super cute. Bread is outstanding, menu options interesting. For some reason we didn't order well. Everything everybody else got looked better than what we got, but it was a matter of personal taste. Service was slow and the place was packed. All that considered I will give it a second chance on my next visit to Austin. And parking, which is something to consider in S Congress, is right at the hotel next door.

As a native Austinite, I felt that Cafe No Se embraced its SoCo location and hit it out of the park with interior design. Don't be turned away by its association with a hip hotel, you can definitely roll up in shorts and a t-shirt and not be judged! All of the ingredients were very fresh, staff were friendly, and the inventive desserts were incredible! This would be a great place to take visitors after shopping at all of the SoCo staples.

On our last day in Austin, we decided to let fate pick our breakfast location. After finding parking right across the street, we decided that the menu at Cafe No Se looked intriguing and got ourselves on the table wait list. While waiting, we were able to order coffee and drinks in the adjacent hotel lounge area. Once seated, it was hard to choose what to eat - in the end, I had to get the avocado toast. I know that it is cliche and trendy - but it was also so very delicious! Fresh greens on the side, and topped with a perfectly done egg - perfection. It was a great final meal for our trip and a nice counterpoint to barbecue, queso, and breakfast tacos.

Great room service- the staff is wonderful. Food was delicious and fast. A great way to start your day in Austin.

The Cafe No Se is a Cafe and it is a restaurant. It’s interior is light and comfy using wood and lots of white. The atmosphere is kind of buzzing and relaxed at the same time. They do have a wide variety of healthy food - without that awkward hint of alternative and at the same time they serve burgers and coffee. ( for here and to go )

The ambiance and menu items are fabulous! It's a great place for groups or just getting together with a friend.

the pain perdu, brioche french toast with creamy cheesecake, raspberry jam and fresh berries alone is worth the wait! our server was lovely, individual french press coffee is a pro in my book and tbh i dont even remember what my husband ordered bc mine was SO good!

My husband and I went two weeks ago; sorry for the late review. But this restaurant, which is in the South Congress Hotel, was utterly charming. It has an outdoor patio on South Congress street for people watching, but the inside looks like a modern French farmhouse. The menu is a combination of French/continental and local/slow food, with Texas figs, shishito peppers and goat cheese combined in a starter (Yum!) and berkshire pork confit. The wine list is small but reasonably price and the service was excellent. I will certainly be going back again, so, go and enjoy!

Stumbled upon this cafe on a Sunday morning in Austin. The exterior is very chic, and we went in hoping to find a nice brunch to begin our exploration of South Congress. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised! The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch - the french-inspired decor and fresh-baked smell alone were lovely. There is a full coffee bar offering a range of delicious drinks, fun morning alcoholic options, a range of freshly made goods, and a full kitchen. Our waitress recommended the kouign amann (which neither of us had ever heard of) and it was truly amazing. We also split an order of sweet pea beignets and a cowboy breakfast, both which were also great. The beignets were especially tasty - very unique and savory. If you're in the area I cannot recommend enough!

The atmosphere is pleasant and great decor! The food was good (avocado toast)and the coffee was standard. Server was nice and even recommended the kid portion of fruit to not get overcharged for a few bites of fruit.

On a recent trip to Austin we visited South Congress Ave and stopped by Cafe No Se as per the recommendation of one of the locals we asked . The decor is simple and relaxing . The service was good , the food delicious . We had the quinoa bowl which was extremely tasty . The coffee was nice and strong . The restroom was clean . It is set in a great spot on South Congress . Definitely worth a stop if you're shopping on South Congress .

We had the avocado toast and egg on a roll and can recommend both. Good food and fresh juice. Nice, modern place but a tiiiny glass of juice (not even close to a cup) will set you back $5 and the avocado toast $13 (+tax and tip).

In a city full of lovely brunch choices, this new spot really stands out. The egg sandwich on cheddar chive biscuit was perfection, the avocado toast was light, fresh and delicious, and our guest's hot cakes were reported to be divine. The french press coffee was the perfect cup. Do yourself a favor and don't skip dessert (yeah, even if you've stopped in for brunch). The basque cake is something I'm not ever going to forget--absolutely stunningly delicious! Lovely light-filled space in trendy South Congress neighborhood. Thoughtful and attentive server. Becoming very popular, so arrive early or prepare to wait.

This was a lovely place in the middle of the SoCo social scene. It's attached to the South Congress Hotel so you can use the hotel's valet for the restaurant as well ($10 for up to 2hrs, $14 for 2-4hrs). You can also try finding free parking in the surrounding neighborhood although you need a permit to park there - realistically, I've never had a problem there (with no permit) but this is by no way a guarantee. The restaurant itself had a nice cozy vibe to it, a little french, a little rustic, lots of charm. Our waiter was super friendly. Portions of their dishes were on the smaller side but that was perfect for us since we got everything from appetizers to dessert and several drinks in between. Can definitely recommend the grilled laffa bread with some sort of sesame seed & garlic oil dip. Yum! The only thing I would say is they need to invest in some cups with handles (coffee is hot, people, and glass is a heat conductor!) Otherwise, would definitely be back to try that crisp cauliflower that the waiter recommended.

The menu was different - not what I expected for a hotel restaurant, but it was very good! My husband had the burger and I had the avocado toast, with the malt fries. SO good! It's very pretty ad our server was super sweet! Very nice start to our dining experiences in Austin!

I think this place is named Cafe No-Sé because they don't know if they are a classy or casual café; but the blend of the two, in my opinion, isn't working out for them. I had the Yellowfin Tuna Poke bowl, the waitresses selection, and was sadly disappointed. First of all, the food can't be seen due to the small circumferenced, high-sided bowl it is served in. In addition, the flavor just isn't there. It would be a good bowl if it was $7 but for $16 it is a waste of time and money. Secondly, my wife had the Ricotta Gnudi was very flavorful but when described by our server it was said to be slightly spicy but with added arugula to balance out the spice with a little bitterness. I'm no genius but I am certain that you don't "balance out" spicy with bitter; for that matter, arugula is spicy as well, not bitter. What balanced the dish out was the sweetness of the cream and corn in the sauce. I wanted to enjoy this place but overall, was unimpressed.
Consistently a great experience
I've been here quite a few times for breakfast and once for dinner and I've always had a great experience! The food is always good, fresh and creative. The decor is cute and modern (great for dates or business meetings). The service is always good. Honestly, this is one if my fave breakfast spots in Austin (and trust me, I eat a lot of breakfast) Highlights are: the freshly baked biscuit breakfast sandwich... so good... and great coffee.
