One of my favorite things about coming to the downtown Nordstrom cafe (besides eating a ridiculous amount of chocolate chip cookies, they are addictive y’all) is the staff. If it’s pretty chill in the dining area. Nice view of pioneer courthouse square and all going’s on. Best part of being there is you can hear the cooks crack jokes & sing parts of your favorite jam on the radio. they’re hilarious. My favorite server though is Keturah, she is so gracious and her grace/kindness is above and beyond. Can’t say enough great things about her, she’s truly a gem to Nordstrom. And my other favorite server is the gentleman named Kevin. Dude is cool as hell. To be honest, everyone I’ve had service from here has been excellent. They’re friendly, anticipate your needs and seem genuinely nice. Pro tip: Get your cookie warmed up and be extra like me and dunk it in your coffee. Get all your sugar and caffeine business right friend. Xo Dri

If you are getting tired of Portland funk and just want a quick meal with reliable quality, this is a good option, and quite good value

Salads, sandwiches, soups, pastas, chicken w/vegetables and a great assortment of pastries. Located inside Nordstrom. They do sell wine but do not have a full bar. Nordstrom cookbooks and salad dressings are for sale. They allow adults to order from the children's menu. Great way to get your tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich fix!

when your salad only has four ingredients but they forget two, you know theres a problem in the kitchen. When I told the wait staff they left out the bacon and and cheese in the salad she gave me back $1:00, get a clue.

A reliable favorite. Soup, sandwiches and salads are all great lunch choices. The restaurant is small so get there early if you want a table. Great view of Pioneer Courthouse Square if you like to people watch or are a tourist. Good service and to-go options if you prefer.

We went to the cafe and had a great selection of meals and wine... the service was excellent! This is the perfect place to meet friends or family or co workers for a nice lunch and have wine! The selection of meals is excellent!

My wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch, and glass of wine, overlooking Portland's Pioneer Square. The service was good and the food excellent.

It was a cold, rainy afternoon and we needed to get indoors and were hungry. I'd eaten at Nordstrom's Cafe many places so we went in. I had a delicious pasta and soup. Service was also great. Their food never fails to please me and prices are reasonable. The view from the window was great of the area below. The Portland Nordstrom's is one of the most beautiful stores I've been in.

Good food, great prices, great atmosphere and the waitresses were very nice and attentive! Thanks for the great dining experience!

Our group shared a variety of pastries... all were very good. The brownie was excellent! Staff was super friendly and attentive. This was a nice break out of the rain for a mid morning treat.

I am a huge fan of the Nordstrom Cafe however this location is small, limited menu items, and to be honest the food was not good at all. It tasted and looked like the food was nuked in the microwave then served to us. Service was the usual high end however the limited menu and quality of food would not bring me back here again.

A nice surprise indeed. The food is quite good. I like the tomato basil soup. I have also had a number of the salads and they have all been good. This also goes for the sandwiches and pasta dishes that i've tried as well. The desserts are also very good. The service is professional and courteous. The atmosphere has a slightly upscale, but comfortable feel to it. A place that's more polite, and where the shopping fashionistas can refuel. Bon Appetit.

We were staying at a hotel across the way from Nordstrom so stopped here for shopping and lunch. Their turkey sandwich and ice tea was good. There was a nice view of Pioneer Square.

This is our to go place for lunch if shopping downtown Portland. The service to the table is prompt and friendly. The tomato bisque soup is wonderful as are all the salads.

My sisters and I needed a calm place to take our mom before a show. We tried several well-reviewed Portland cafes, but all had an hour-long wait. One sister remembered Cafe Nordstrom and I am so glad she did. For a group of remarkably different and specialized tastes in food, the Cafe offered something each of us loved: a quiche with a side of avocado, lettuce chicken wraps, a French dip, and an arugula, shrimp, and polenta salad. The last was mine, and it combined four of my favorite things (appropriate before going to the Sound of Music). The servers were helpful with our need for a table with access for a walker, they didn't worry that half our party was still parking when the other half was ordering, and they were cheery through all transactions and questions about substitutions. I would go back in a heartbeat, and I might even check out other cities' Nordstrom Cafes.

Who can resist Nordstrom's anniversary sale?! And lucky for us, there is a restaurant in the store AND the food was above all our expectations! we had pasta and salad and they were all amazing. service was good but it was a bit confusing that you had to walk all the way in to order your food first, and then seat yourselves..would have been useful if there were a sign at the door.

This is not on the par of other Nordstrom cafes I have visited. the salad was sloppy and over dressed. The service was average at best. I won't visit this one again.

Cafe ast Nordstrom seems odd to review or rave about, but after some serious shopping snd a rainy day, relaxing with consistently good food and great service is a nice treat. Butternut ravioli with chanterelle mushrooms was delicious and half the price I paid two days earlier.

I'm really surprised this café is rated so low. This was one of my go-to places for lunch while working in downtown Portland. Their salads are fresh and yummy with a variety to choose from. They also have solid and tasty sandwich and pasta dishes to choose from, not to mention a delectable array of desserts (the lemon ricotta cookie is my favorite). And their service is great. The only negative about this place is that sometimes it was so busy you couldn't get a seat, in which case you can have it packed and take it back to the office with you. The restaurant is also located on the 3rd floor so it's an ideal place to people watch if you sit by the windows.

What a great place for lunch - after shopping downtown I was ready to sit down for lunch. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Chef Adriana has created many unique and delicious many items. Give it a try you wont be disappointed, I will return soon.

Nordstrom's Cafe is a hidden gem located inside the store. I do recommend trying all three cafes. The downtown Nordstrom's Cafe offers you a view of Broadway and Pioneer Courthouse Square, while the Lloyd Center cafe offers you outdoor seating. The Washington Square cafe gives you a bird-eye view of the mall. The menu for all three restaurants are not the same. But the quality of flavor, variety of color/texture, and presentation is fabulous. The service is always with impeccable manners. You will not be disappointed.

Brilliant place to wait for the girls to do do their shopping and can always count on a fresh salad and cold beer or good wine list. Why do a food court when you can get 1st class food and service at very similar prices?

I have never eaten at the restaurant upstairs, but everytime I go by Nordstrom or inside Nordstrom I stop by to get their incredible Macadamian White chocolate Cookies. I am not a big fan of white chocolate but the combination of this cookie is just perfect! If they dont have them outside, they will definitely get them for you from their restaurant upstairs. So, no excuses. Do not miss it!

I always get the salads, however, this time they had the calorie count on the menu and I was disappointed by how many calories the salads contains, especially since they aren't very large and do not have a lot of salad dressing. I love the Cilantro Lime Chicken Salad, a co worker had the Spicy Shrimp & Angel Hair pasta and said it was too spicy for her taste. I think for the lunch the prices are a bit too high, especially for the quantity of food.

Enjoyed tasty lunch at the Nordstrom Cafe. Highly recommend French Dip sandwich and salad. Pleasant view of downtown Portland - Pioneer Square. Excellent service.

I ordered Fall panzanella salad and it was amazing , I couldn't finished my main corse after that , it's located in a department store .

I have been coming to this lovely little cafe in the WASHINGTON SQUARE MALL for many years and I have NEVER had a bad meal here. Their menu is imaginative, their dishes are carefully prepared and wonderfully presented by an attentive staff! Finally, I can use my NORDSTROM NOTES here so my meals seem FREE..,

Awesome casual place for lunch or dinner. I would recommend eating here even if you are dining alone.

A good meal with good service. You do order and pay before sitting down but then they bring you your meal.

Mellow relaxing oasis in a world of hustle and bustle. Excellent but unobtrusive service. Delicious and varied menu with options for special dietary needs subtly tailored to satisfy the most demanding palate. Not to mention the restful view of Pioneer Square if you’re lucky enough to catch a window seat!

The staff was extremely nice. The coffee and iced tea are also nice. But the place is an average Nordstrom Cafe (not that that's a bad thing).

You order when you walk in and then the food is brought to the rable in a short time. Food is very good and and nor expensive. I had the tomato basil soup (always a favorite of mine their) and a turkey sandwich. More than enought to eat and severed nicely. The person who brings it to the the table is always nice and helpful. Highly recomend it.

What an awesome surprise to find this cafe in downtown Portland on the third floor of Nordy's store. Service was good but the biggest surprise was the food. It was simply delicious.

Perfect choice for very tasty and healthful salads, delicious breads and desserts. Ideal for when you are shopping or running errands for a relaxing, comfortable break for lunch. Very sweet and helpful staff making the visit very enjoyable. They also have a cook book if you want the recipes and you can buy an array of dressings and famous sauces. . perfect for a gift.

Absolutely do not waste your time. Dadeland has a better restaurant with better customer service. This place wide the salon and customer service is poorly trained. the manager does not have training to satisfy a client. I waited 30 minutes for my dessert and they never brought it to me or asked if it was brought or if I needed water or wanted more coffee. completely a disaster. The client deserves respect

Its an okay type cafe. Menu has very limited selections and food doesnt taste very fresh. If there is no other place around, then its an option.
Great stop while shopping downtown
Have their tomato basil soup....yummy!!! Have it every time I can stop by. Very good food ans reasonable prices. If you're lucky you can get a seat by the windows and watch the crowd go by. A very nice atmsphere and good service.
