The food was delicious! The snow crab, king crab, whole lobster, steak au poivre (even though I’m not usually a fan of filet mignon, there’s was absolute perfection), lobster thermidor… everything! The service was friendly and attentive - from our waiter to the bus person to the food station attendees (including Pavel at the boba/coldstone/crepe bar). The desserts… where to begin? Incredible! And all of the options along one side of the long desert table can be mixed in with the coldstone ice cream. Bottom line: including tax and tip it’s about $200 person person and worth the price. We all look forward to our next visit!

Its very bz here. Try to go in just when they open, usually 6 pm but sometimes 5:30 pm. Call them to make sure. Upscale atmosphere, casual dress is the norm, no need for suit and tie. Good selection of food. Its mostly asian cuisine, asian themed. So if you're not comfy with that, dont come. Its buffet style. You get your own food. We always get the lobster, and the dumplings are the best. Theres crab, sushi, mashed potatoes, prime rib..... Dessert is buffet style too. Ice cream, cakes, a large selection. It does get very crowded, be calm, be patient, enjoy the food. The waiters are bz, but pretty attentive. Just order water and drinks beforehand and youre set. They ll come and take your empty plates for you. Try to eat 4-5 plates each person not including dessert and you've paid for your bill. Theres a piano player in house, parking is free with validation, I think its a 2 hour limit. I like this place.

This place is amazing with all of the different variety of food and deserts. I was especially impressed with the service that my daughter and I received from our server Marilela. She was so professional and courteous, and made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. I was amazed how she could attend do us and all the other customers that were there to have a great meal. Thank you Cafe Sierra for having such an awesome women working here. I will be coming again with my girlfriends for a fun evening. Also the atmosphere in this place is another reason to come here because the beautiful high glass ceiling and the amazing entertainment makes it very enjoyable. It's on the pricey side and worth every penny.

The reason why I think it's the best seafood buffet in LA is bc it has steamed Maine lobster AND King Crab legs as much as one can eat of them. The buffet is only available on the weekends from 6-9pm at a cost of $60/per person but if one eats 3 lobsters it's paid for itself.

Best buffet in Los Angeles. Been there 20 times and always excellent. Selerction is mind boggling and quality is over the top.

Great food... Really enjoyed the breakfast! The decor was very elegent. *** View my profile & find my website link for more reviews!

NOT a buffet review! This review is for the Lobby Lounge, but we ordered off the full dinner menu from Cafe Sierra. Maybe the main dining room would have been a better choice, but I'm assuming everything comes from the same kitchen. We sat ourselves and the server came right over to start us off with some drinks. He listened attentively and confirmed our drink order. Appetizer was French sliders: they were dried out and very fatty. One slider was almost all fat and barely edible. However, the French Fries were good. Salad was a standard house side salad. I liked the mixed greens instead of Iceberg Lettuce. Here's where it got worse: Entree was the Mandarin BBQ Combo. It had white rice, pork and slices of duck. The duck was so cold it was almost like it had been chilled before service and the sauce was overpowering and salty. Also, it was prepared very poorly, majority of the pieces were mostly cartilage and had small pieces of bones all throughout. The pork was barely warm and unseasoned. We didn't receive bread until about the time the salad came out (which was after the sliders). Water was by request only. Maybe we happened to choose the wrong dishes tonight, but from this first experience: not recommended. We'll have to try the buffet which is available on Fridays and Saturdays.

Cafe Sierra is a very attractive big hotel dining space. The menu is good but the buffet has an enormous array of foods. You will find something for every taste. One hint -- if you enjoy bread, get it to your table before picking out your meal.

Staff was rude and gave us a hard time on free breakfast and had a string or something in my cheese Danish and almost swallowed it showed it to guy at the check in desk and brushed me off

Since we were staying at the hotel, it was a natural to take part in this offering. We invited my daughter and her boyfriend who were on a tight schedule and were promptly seated with our reservations and on time. That alone was quite a feat as the brunch is noteable and visited by many non guest locals. The selections were amazing and so many, it was hard to decide on which way to go. Ultimately we had a great time and our server Javier took good care of us.

Tables were packed tightly for the abundant buffet. We were excited to try the good-looking crab, crab legs, shrimp, lobster thermidore and many many more dishes. We were sorely disappointed. The crab legs were entirely uncracked - very difficult to work with. The seafood was rubbery and incredibly salty. The first serving of prime rib (from a very unfriendly fellow) was just a pile of fat.

Quite honestly I haven't been there in years, but I've never been big on buffets

We enjoyed room service, and meals in the restaurant. A breakfast buffet was very popular. Casual dining.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles’ entertainment district. I can see why folks make this home base to explore all of what Hollywood is known for. And if traveling with Fido, you couldn’t find a more attentive staff to defer to both your and Fido’s needs. We were thrilled to be able to dine with our pooch al fresco in the atrium and order from Café Sierra restaurant offering California, Continental and Chinese cuisine. As the vegetarian in the group I had so many wonderful choices, it was hard to pick just one, so I ordered several! The meaty Alaskan King Crab Cakes served with Chipotle aioli was a great start and who doesn’t like a touch of Chipotle Aioli to wake up your taste buds? I have to admit that many hotel menus are lacking in vegetarian fare, but not so Café Sierra. The Buddha’s Feast with wok-fired tofu couldn’t get any better. Hands and paws down, this is the place to be satiated after a long day of sightseeing with wonderful service and ambiance. Four paws up from this Fido-friendly family.

What a nice venue this is. They have so much food and even more desserts. Lovely displays, tons of seafood variety. Great tasting food and a nice atmosphere. If you area in the neighborhood definitely check it out. I think this is the best buffet I've been to in L.A.

Went to Sunday Brunch a week before Father's Day with a large group of family and friends. First the buffet is laid out in the hallway of the hotel due to renovation of their main dining hall. The food was good but not outstanding. The Prime rib and meats were a bit overcooked, the chinese dim sum was not tasty nor good. The sushi , sashimi was very good, the omelet , taco and crepe bar was very good. The crab legs, oysters, were plentiful. I would wait to go to Cafe Sierra until the remodeling is finished. The service was very good.

Was here for brunch one Saturday and could not believe the choices available! Everything was really great, just expensive. I personally do not normally do "brunch buffets" because the cost is very high compared to what I eat, however, the choices and quality of the food offered here is mind-blowing good! There were at least 3-4 stations with food for every taste, the fruit was fresh and delicious, there's a station where you can order eggs any style, there are also stations with Japanese, Mexican, desserts, waffles and pancakes and more that I was too full to explore. This is one of the best and biggest buffets for brunch that I've experienced! Also need to mention the great wait staff, friendly, helpful and always ready to help out. All the dishes, glasses and silver flatware was spotless...was just a perfect place to start out a day.

Great Food! Amazing service! You would think, buffet ok, but not quality. This couldn't be further from the truth. The food quality is A+ every single time. I was planning on going to Vegas, just to eat at Bucchanal but, honestly, I saved myself a flight and hotel stay.

Kids love it. Lots of variety and could pick their own food and put it on a tray.

I have never been to such an incredible brunch in my life. You name it and it was there. This is the most elaborate and eye opening experience of my life.

Service was spot on and the food was great. It's convenient and practical for those who just don't feel like getting stuck in traffic. We did not get the buffet but did enjoy some burgers, strawberry ice cream, french fries, chocolate dipped strawberries, and their quesadilla. A strong team effort from all.

We ate here for the Seafood Buffet on Saturday night. Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 tweens) was very excited to try it out. We are in Vegas several times each year and were eager to compare this buffet to others. The hostess, Anne, was so friendly. Service was excellent. Food was AMAZING! Lobster was the best I've had. Crab legs were seasoned, hot, and plentiful. Prime rib was good too. Everything we tried was great. Deserts were delicious. We enjoyed our dinner and will definitely return!

On our recent trip to LA we had the seafood buffet at Cafe Sierra at the Hilton. Delicious! If you are looking for a good seafood meal in LA for a decent price, this is a great place to visit. We enjoyed every bite! There is a large selection of dishes including sushi, dim sum, cold seafood, hot seafood, carvery, hot asian, crepes, a chocolate fountain and cakes. Something for every taste. We also enjoyed a nice selection of wines and cocktails. I would highly recommend this to anyone travelling to LA.

We had dinner here our first night at the hotel and it was very good. Cafe gets the most use for the breakfast buffet, which we thought was adequate, but nothing special.

This was an outstanding seafood buffet, very similar to a Las Vegas buffet. The whole lobster and shrimp fried rice were noteworthy.

It was a class reunion of my wife with spouses - her classmates arranged it at this place in Hilton hotel along hollywood blvd. When we came and I saw the buffet igot excited. My eyes caught the king crabs and lobster- wow it was perfect. I almost forgot my name hehe! Japanese sushi especially the fresh pink salmon sashimi was a perfect match what a diner! For those not fond of seafoods delght yourself with chinese and mediteranean dishes. There are beef and lamb steak. When full go to the awesome dessert section and surely it will fill you up. Top it with coffee and you're ready to sleep like a fattened bear! There you go- great food great place great people😊

We opted for the continental breakfast and it was just OK for $17.50 each. Service was very good with very friendly staff. For dinner we shared a salad and pizza which again was OK. That night they had their seafood buffet but we wanted a lighter meal.

We had the continental breakfast here a number of days while staying at the Hilton. They had a nice variety of things to choose from, very attentive service (even asked if we wanted to take some coffee to go), and without a doubt, the BEST bread pudding we've ever had! Never thought about bread pudding being a breakfast item, but I'm thoroughly convinced now that it IS - especially if it is the bread pudding they make at the Cafe Sierra!

We stopped in wanting a quick dinner between meetings being held at the hotel. There were a few people in front of in line. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated. Once seated we waited about 10 minutes and no one and even acknowledged that we had been seated. By that time we only had 45 minutes until our meeting resumed. We got up and walked out. Hands down the worst service I have ever had at a Hilton property. Even though this hotel is in Hollywood, unlike the the Terminator, I won't be back.

We went to Cafe Sierra at Hilton Universal for their buffet dinner last Saturday and it was good. Prices are: 49$/adult and 20$/child up to 10yrs old. They had a wide array of seafood particularly unlimited lobster, king crab legs and shrimp cocktail. They also had prime rib, lamb, chinese food, sushi, korean and taco station. For desserts, they had crepe station, cotton candy, chocolate fountain and different types of cake. My personal favorite were the lobster thermidor and creme brulee. We wanted to eat more king crab legs but they were too salty. Hope it wasn't intentional so people won't eat more because they might lose potential customers because of that. I want to say we'll be back but because of the super salty king crab legs, we probably won't be back.

Has undergone a first class remodel. Great atmosphere. Food's good. Wait staff seems like they may be union.

We ate here one night (would have been more) while staying at the hotel for two nights. The food is way overpriced for what it is. The seafood is VERY fishy tasting, pastas and rice overcooked. The servers are nice and seem honest and compassionate, wanting to try and make things right. We detailed this out much more in our review of the Hilton Hotel on this stay.

Buffet is too expensive. It appeared that some food was left out longer than the expected time frame. There was not a huge variety each day.

My family used to go Cafe Sierra for King Crab legs, lobster and prime rib buffet when I was younger, and we hadn't been here since it was remodeled. We took our family here, and the buffet is completely new and remodeled. We went to the Sunday dinner buffet. There is a new taco station, and Mongolian Stir Fry and Soup and noodle station. There is a sushi area, as well as prime rib and lobster, as well as crab legs. The desert station was awesome, as they can mix ice cream like Coldstone, and they even had cotton candy. Would definitely come back again.

The prepared eggs tray were a little under cooked. The line backed up for the omlets. Could have had more of a selection for the $30/person cost.

HEALTH HAZARD! Do not eat here! Food is literally dangerous! We all ended up with food poisoning and when I informed management..they offered me another visit at a discount! NO THANK YOU! DO NOT EAT HERE!! EVER!

I was staying at the Hilton and had the breakfast buffet every day I was there. I upgraded to the full buffet (instead of the free excellent continental breakfast) and everything was so good! I especially loved their coffee -- full bodied and smooth! They also have an excellent seafood buffet...

Alan was our wonderful server this morning. He was super helpful when I had a ton of questions about the menu to meet my dietary restrictions. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great.

A group of 8 of us were attending Universal Studios. We arrived in the city about an hour before opening, so were looking for a well rated place to eat breakfast. Cost was not a concern for us. We found this online. It is located inside the Hilton Hotel. There was both a buffet or a menu, which worked great for our group. I loved the buffet, because it offered both traditional breakfast foods, such as eggs, sausage, bagels, etc, but also some chinese foods, like potstickers, fried rice, soup. There was a station where a chef would make you eggs or omelets to order. At that same station, you could also get a Japanese Soup, where you chose what meats, vegetables, and noodles you wanted, and it was cooked up for you. We chose to pay a bit extra to get everyone to fill up, so we wouldn't have to stop for snacks right away.

had dinner here with business associates. Jet lagged coming in from the East coast. Waitress was friendly and efficient. My one friend ordered sliders no buns as she has allergies but when it arrived they had added calamari - nice thought but she is allergic to seafood. Unfortunately our meals came so she ended up eating alone as we had all finished by the time her replacement dinner arrived. Apart form that, food was good - I ordered the roast beef 10az medium, it came a little on the rare side but was a nice cut of meat. The waitress remembered I did not want ice in my water (so often they forget or don't pay attention) and all in all did a good job. We did not try the buffet but may on another night as it looks huge and has a fantastic selection.

The breakfast buffet was nice. The food was fresh and delicious. The omelet station was a nice touch.

we had dinner there twice during our stay, the staff were great and the meals were reasoanbly priced as were the drinks and a good selection of food from the menu

Ate a couple of breakfasts and one dinner here. Breakfast can be full buffet or continental. Plenty of food either way. Dinner had plenty of options including prime rib and fresh sea food. All top quality.

We had the breakfast buffet one of the mornings we were there. Fantastic! A little expensive, but I believe we ate our money's worth.

While staying at the Hilton Universal City we decided to have the buffet breakfast. The choice is very unusual yes the are fried eggs, omelettes etc. However fried potatoes with skins on don't work, and bread pudding surely not. The bacon and sausage was fine but let's throw in some pot stickers and breakfast pizza. All this for a price for three of us of $98. Just because you have lots of odd items and it's all you can eat doesn't always make it good.

Love it! Can't say enough great things about this place. The food is plentiful and so many choices. Chinese, Japanese and American cuisine. Hands down the best buffet in Los Angeles. I live in LA so I'm looking for valet...it's right in the front. This isn't the first time I've been here and every time I'm here, the place is packed. I was just there for Easter brunch and it was fabulous. They are doing renovations to the restaurant but it honestly didn't bother me or my party of 10. That included 3 picky children who don't like to eat anything. It's very similar to a Vegas buffet and probably better than a few that I've been to. They even have a great selection for kids. I would and have recommended this restaurant to friends and family. This place is also my go to restaurant when I have out of town guests stay over. It's a great place!

As a local LA resident, I had PREVIOUSLY found universal hilton's restaurant to be a consistently good buffet, but that was years ago, NOW that seems to have ALL changed. We went to Cafe Sierra on mother's day and it was one of the worst experiences ever for a mother's day brunch and a terrible buffet experience overall. First, the positives: we got a flower at the end of our meal. That's it. Now for the negatives, the customer service (or LACK of service): we waited about 10 minutes before any wait staff even approached our table. Finally, when our server (Santos, according to the check) finally arrived, he seemed to be too busy to smile or even greet us appropriately. I requested a high chair, and it wasn't until 10 minutes later when I had to ask AGAIN where the high chair was, and our server informed us that there was no high chairs available. I found that hard to believe for a top hotel/restaurant. When I left for the buffet, I found a completely unused high chair sitting against a wall and asked another server if I could use it, and he said sure. So I dragged the chair across the restaurant MYSELF. Our server never acknowledged anything even when he saw it. Secondly, throughout our whole meal, our server came to our table only 3 times (including the beginning and the check at the end). Meanwhile, the dirty plates that servers usually take away got so bad that we had to bus them ourselves. This is very rare in any buffet (even at hometown) that I've ever had to take away my own plates to clean! And I had to do it at least 4 times because no one ever came to take our plates. Frankly, that alone was unacceptable. But that's not all... Thirdly, the food at the buffet has not only gone downhill, but there's less selection, and far lower quality. The eggs benedict was burned, yes, the english muffin was a lite black color on one side and I didn't notice it until I bit into it. The sushi was old and drying up. The desserts were almost cheap little cakes that offered little to no variety. Fourth, this is one of the most expensive buffets in the area and it's even less value due to the poor food quality and service. At $60 per head, you can easily get a better buffet (with far better service) at half the price at a non-hotel restaurant or even look around at other hotel buffets for less. Fifth, the decor was nothing but white walls, table and chair. There was no white tablecloth, only cheap wooden tables. I was really in shock that the place looked so cheap since the last time we were here. Next, cleanliness: where we were seated, there was crumbs and old food under the table and chairs, it was pretty gross. I was shocked to see that kind of dirt in a restaurant I used to be so impressed with. Finally, parking charges. With validation, we had to pay $10 for each car! So a total of $30 to park our car for a couple hours. I can't believe they would charge so steeply WITH a validation and after paying so much for a crappy buffet. This hotel exemplifies the kind profit-OVER-customers strategies that disappointments me. Don't spend on any good food, don't change fresh food, hire less staff than you need, and overcharge for it and even sneak in parking fees on top of that. This place really is just a dump in disguise, totally lacking in any professional restaurant/hospitality management. I wish I could give this place a second chance, but it's the second bad experience in a row so my patience is wearing thin.

It is $23 for adults and $10 for kids for breakfast. Great large selection and very tasty!! They had lots of hot items and lots of muffins. I had a blueberry one and it was still warm!! Some people think it's pricey but you gotta check out their selection and quality...that's why it cost so much. It's worth it if you eat lots!!

We just spent this past Saturday evening (9/16/23) at the Hilton Universal. After a long day at Universal Studios, we decided to look into the Saturday evening buffet at Cafe Sierra. At first, there was a bit of sticker shock... $139/pp. I ran downstairs to check out the restaurant. It was PACKED. (Good sign.) I, then, checked out the buffet. I reported to my husband that it looked like an "embarrassment of riches". I mean, I couldn't believe the amount of seafood I saw available. (Another good sign.) People at their tables with mountains of crab legs of all kinds (snow, Dungeness, & King) as well as lobsters & oysters. Plus, there was prime rib & lamb. Based on the offerings and the amount of people at the restaurant, I figured it had to be good. Boy was I was wrong... The snow crab - SALTY. A watery inedible mess. The king crab - poorly cooked. The shells were so soft & rubbery, you couldn't even crack them to get to the meat inside. I had to use a fork to jimmy out the meat. Once I did, it was undercooked. The Dungeness crab was dry and overcooked - barely any meat in the shells. The meat in the lobster claws from the chilled seafood display were watery & rubbery. (I couldn't convince myself to try the oysters.) The hot lobster was overcooked & not cleaned out. I felt bad for what I took & didn't eat because it was so gross. I had to wash my hands multiple times just to get the stench of the seafood off of my hands. The prime rib had zero flavor. It tasted only like bloody meat and, what I did get, I had to trim off the gristle. There was no seasoning on the exterior of the roast. I love lamb but couldn't get myself to try it because you could smell the gaminess just by walking by it. The sides that were offered were terrible. I mean, who offers cold, soggy French fries as a potato side at a, supposedly, high-end seafood & prime rib buffet?! (Anyone heard of roasted potatoes? How about mashed potatoes? Both are fairly easy to make/maintain in a buffet.) The salad offerings were horrible. Both the Ceasar salad and the pear salad were horribly over-dressed and soggy. (Maybe restaurant management should consider letting their customers choose how much dressing they want on their salad by offering the dressing on the side opposed to offering huge bowls of salads that sit in their own dressing, allowing the greens to horribly wilt.) The broccoli side that was offered was overcooked & grey. I was so much wanting a vegetable, but nothing was edible. No bread offering whatsoever with the exception of crappy, stale dinner rolls at the lobster station. You couldn't even get pats of butter. They just had something that looked like melted garlic butter goo. What was I supposed to do with that... pour it on top of my dinner roll??? I will say my husband enjoyed the sushi offering. Worth $139 per person? I would say not. Lastly, I tried dessert. I mean - how can a place screw up creme brulee? (I had honestly reached the point where I was just looking for something to eat that couldn't be messed up.) Well, Cafe Sierra managed to do that. The custard tasted only like sweetened eggs - the custard wasn't smooth and there was no vanilla flavor to be found (usually one can count on seeing vanilla caviar). The sugar on top was still grainy and barely brulee'd. As far as ice cream offerings... what "high-end" buffet runs out of vanilla ice cream (there was only chocolate & strawberry)?! (Mind you, we were there at 7pm - certainly not the end of service.) The dessert area was terribly maintained - food on the floor and messes on the table - probably because they couldn't keep up with all the children running around making a mess of the area. Lastly, the dining room felt like a banquet hall. It was overly bright, overly populated, & their attempt at ambiance by having a guitarist fell very flat. We were happy we chose to eat in the bar, even though we had reservations in the main dining room. I can tell you, I was honestly embarrassed that I paid what I did for such a horrible dining experience. I don't mind spending money on good food. I do it often. Nothing, I mean NOTHING, could have made my $139/per person worth the experience that we had. Even my husband was trying to justify the cost/value to himself by saying we at least realized an $18/pp dining credit because we're Hilton Diamond members. He couldn't even say that to me with a straight face. There must be a market for this junk because the place was packed and there are people who are willing to pay for it. I'm not one of them. If I could have given this review zero circles, I would have.

Overpriced restaurant. Walk a stone's throw away to the City Walk by Universal's main gate and you will get a plethora of options

Very must happy that we decided to celebrate our dad's 70th birthday here. All 35 of us came home with happy tummies :) Seafood: definitely the highlight of cafe sierra. Lobsters were serve two ways, boiled or baked. King crab legs were a bit salty but still very good. Meat: the prime rib was tender and very tasty. They also have roast ribs which imho was better than the prime rib. Dessert : wide selection of cakes, fruits (choc covered strawberries) to finish the meal with hot tea on the side. They also have other good items at the buffet but focussed all my energy at the lobsters :) Service: quick and efficient.

The buffet was beyond belief, my list would be very short if I put what it didn't have - but let me tell you a few things it did have, Lobster Thermidor, King Crab, Snow Crab, Dungeness Crab, Lamb, Prime rib, Sushi, Sashimi, Miso Soup, and miles and miles more of awesome food. The staff was over the top - the manager actually sat with us for 15 minutes and shared stores - Again my favorite place to eat - period!

This is located in the same floor of the lobby of Hilton Universal City. The waiters/waitress are very attentive. Food is excellent. Lots of seafood including lobster termador.would love to come back.

Universal City Hilton totally renovated the Cafe Sierra buffet area with open seating area and surrounding food stations. The breakfast buffet can either be continental breakfast or upgrade to full buffet. If you like the full buffet, it includes ; bacon, sausage, omelets, pancakes, potatoes, and chinese porridge. The continental includes; bagels, toast, pastries, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cold cuts, and smoked salmon. The dinner buffet has a complete selection of seafood. Crab, lobster tail, oysters, shrimp, cioppino, sushi, grilled salmon and more. The service was excellent.

How absurd the cost of breakfast here 132.00 for 4 we just stayed at a Hilton property in Lancaster and the same breakfast was part of the stay FREE the value is not there. So re think a family of 4 breakfast at the Hilton universal.

We dined here one night. Nice change (quieter) from Citywalk restaurants and menu looked much more interesting than the restaurant at the Sheraton. My fish was well-prepared and fresh. Kids loved the kids meals.

One of the best, if not the best, buffet I've ever had. My mom and stayed at the Hilton in Universal City and decided to have dinner at the hotel. It tunred out they were doing the buffet that night. And WOW. The selections at the buffet were amazing. It actually made me feel a little guilty at how much food there was! And it was delicious.

I love Buffets! I have eaten at Indian Casinos, Vegas, and local places around town. I love to eat. Yes normally Buffets are expensive. Know that going in. And this one is too!! If you love seafood then this is the one. I was hoping for more Nationalities. A little more Mexican, Italian to be mixed in, but there wasnt. Very little American Prime rib, veggies and dessert cakes. I heard they have a donut bar did not see it tonight. Thought it was fun that they had popcorn and the ice cream was like a take off of Cold Stone Creamery with the with Ice Counter Top. Did love the Crepes. I will not go back for dinner since it is mostly seafood, if you like love seafood I think its worth a visit. If you are willing to pay. I would like to see what breakfast is like?

We went for the prime rib and seafood buffet. The word buffet is used loosely... The only selections of seafood were overcooked fish - no fresh shrimp or crap or anything else. There was no salad buffet, just 3 pre-made salads set out in a bowl. The prime rib was roast beef. Only 3-4 other dishes to choose from. Food was bland. The prices were so high, it was unbelievable.

We were given a free buffet due to room issues at the Hilton and if I had known how terrible this all would be I wouldn’t have bothered. It’s normally 30$ for the buffet and there was not one thing on it that was remotely good aside from the bagel and cream cheese. I would have passed had I known how gross it would be.

being too busy in this city but still i always take time out to visit this place. And it has never disappointed me ever. loved being here always. A place where your soul is feed

We ate here once as well as a couple of breakfasts and the staff were very engaging and pleasant. Cafe Sierra is a bit expensive particularly for breakfast but the food was good and the meal we had in the evening one night was delicious. It was nice also to be able to get a cup of tea there served in china cups and not in takeaway cardboard!!

We were having a great time at Cafe Sierra .. the food were perfect, looked delicious and tasted great. The staff were really great and so very friendly - can only recommend that you try this Cafe once or more when being in the area :)-

Wow! This place is delicious 😋. Love the service and quiet atmosphere. Whenever we visit LA, we will drop by for some pasta and shrimp. Also, the bread is slammin'

In my honest opinion, this place is not worth 70 dollars per person for this buffet. After tip, my bill ran out to be 100 dollars per person.... this is not including parking cost at the hotel which cost me another 23 dollars. I have been to many upscale international buffets in Vegas and pala casino, so I have an idea what an upscale buffet suppose to be. Upon walking to the food bar, I quickly notice how dirty the plates were. All of the plates are wet, so you can have an idea how much bacteria is on the plates. My wife and I utensils are extremely dirty. They even serviced us dirty used crab snappers utensils... very disappointing for an upscale buffet.. Many of the servers here lack English and an "upscale" server skills. The seafood offered here is mediocre. King crab and lobster seems to not be fresh. I am assuming they masked the freshness of the lobster by grilling, adding cheese and mushrooms... furthermore, when I grabbed sashimi the server at the bar was busy talking to another employee and did not notice my existence. I quickly assume that I had to grab the sashimi meat myself with chopsticks. When the server quickly notice this, "she"stopped me by using sign language and broken English. She made me feel very dumb... lol. Nonetheless, it is not worth the money to dine here! I understand covid has changed lots of things but the price to food ratio and the experience is not worth 70+ dollars.

Ate here for our last day at the Hilton Universal City. Easily the worst service and food of our week long stay in LA. The ceiling above the restaurant is glass and therefore it has pockets of intense sunlight in the morning. We asked to sit out of the sun once we were seated, they moved us to another location and of course more sun, classic LA bait and switch and don't complain about it either. Sat down and the waiter didn't seem to want to be bothered by getting us what we asked for, he just wanted to push us into the buffet so he could move on and not have to bring us anything. We did the buffet with our kids because they will charge you another $14 for cold cereal if you go back for another bowl, so $18 is a bargain. My wife and I ordered our meals separately off the menu as we did not feel the need to gorge ourselves on the buffet for what amounted to an additional $10 ($34/person). Water was refilled sparingly and without ice. The moment the food hit the table from another server our waiter immediately threw down the check before we had a chance to place a bite in our mouths, total turnoff. Suffice it to say there was a minimal tip for this person.

We got a gift certificate to visit the Cafe Sierra/Hilton Universal City location. There were mistakes throughout the dinner and there was not even one apology. Instead there were only attitudes from the cashier, manager, to the waitress. Before we went there, we checked and knew that the buffet would cost $46.00/adults and $22.00/children on Saturday. We have three adults and one child, so with a $200.00 gift certificate, it is more than enough. However, the cashier, after entered numbers in her register, asked us to pay an additional of $75.00. We then realized that she thought it was only $100.00 gift certificate. With no expression, she went to her manager and the manager then had us stepped aside so that she could help the next person. The manager was supposed to take care of us. However, he was approached by his employees with questions so it took him a while to clear the mistake. He then led us to the table where he told us that we had $25.00 extra that he suggested we ordered two drinks because they did not return the difference. The waitress came, I told her that we could order two drinks and asked if we might have the drink menu. She told me that with $25.00, we could order 4 drinks, one for each person, so we did. A moment later, another waiter came and said it was not enough to cover 4 drinks so we canceled 2 drinks. A moment later, the waitress came back with 4 drinks saying that the 2 drinks are free of charge. The waiter came back with a bill for 2 additional drinks. I told him that the waitress said they were free. The waiter went to the waitress. The waitress came to us and said she never said it was free, she then took back the 2 drinks. The waiter also came and took back my drink which was one of the two that we paid for. I was so angry by this time and told him that you could take them all back and give me some water. I had already lost my appetite. I could not believe that with a $200.00, we would get this kind of attitudes. Even my 8 years old daughter said to me "how come they take back people's drink when people was not even finished, that was not nice at all". on my way getting the food. I overheard a comment made by a gentleman to a lady "don't worry, if it is something that you need to pay, they will come to you right way". On top of all, the food was ok. There was not anything really special. The seafood was not fresh. The sushi was old. The pasta line was long but the chef only use one pan and did one person at a time. I would rather go to Todai and pay $17.00 for my buffet. Finally, I don't know how to tell the person who gave me the gift certificate. However, I do want her to know so that she will not buy gift certificate from that place anymore. I will never come back to that restaurant and will advise anybody I know not to go there. Kim from Temple City

Wonderful buffet with so many tempting options you will definitely not need lunch. Some things you won't find at many buffets, a real treat

We came here after universal studios on a Friday for the seafood buffet. The spread they put on is 2nd to none. I have been to almost all buffets in Vegas and none offer king crab or lobster anymore. Cafe Sierra in the Hilton has both! They also have a wide selection of sushi, a sushi chef who can make rolls for you, an ice cream maker and tons of options for everyone. At 58 usd for adults and 28 for children, this is a world class buffet. Nothing we tried was disappointing. Will definitely come back one day!

We were lucky to have the opportunity to start our visit to Universal City with the seafood buffet served Friday, October 20th. The Restaurant Manager was gracious and attentive. The wait staff was attentive and professional. The entertainment helped make the meal a delight from first bite to last.

Never fails when you wanted the best brunch here at Cafe Sierra. Kung crab legs, shrimp, oysters, caviar station and prime ribs are so delicious. Best sushi, sashimi. Good breakfast selections as well. Desserts are outstanding! Don't forget to try make your own "wonton noodle soup".. the staffs are great. Best part? The trolley is waiting outside the hotel can drop you off to Universal City walk.

Lots of carrier variety from American, Japanese, Korean, and British. Very good food, excellent service and value.

after a long day of traveling and walking around the area it was nice to sit down at a quiet place and enjoy.

The continental breakfast was nice. The waiters are friendly and service is quick. Space is ample, so we did not have to wait at all to get a table.

This restaurant was recommended to my family for a rehearsal dinner. Manger Kevin Peng and his staff were helpful with our planning and very accommodating when our party grew to 40 plus. The seafood buffet was amazing! So many to choose from. Seafood included lobsters, crab legs, shrimps and salmon. The carving station offered prime ribs, leg of lamb, and roast beef. Other stations offered tacos, crepes, cotton candy, sushi, Chinese dishes and much, much more! My family and out of town guests were very pleased with the food and the service.

Quality of food is not even near the price you pay. you have two options, open buffet or a la cart. when you look at the menu a ala cart, you will definitely go to buffet, as any single plate will equal the amount of the buffet.

I've been to many brunch's in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and over seas. Of all the places, the Sunday brunch at Cafe Sierra tops them all. Besides a great selection of good tasting food, the staff encourages you to take you time when you dine. My family and I have gone Be there to celebrate birthdays, and just to enjoy the food. On a scale of 1 out of 5, 5 being the best, it.s a 5+++!

Celebrated Christmas brunch at Cafe Sierra in the Hilton Universal City today. It is the best brunch in Los Angeles. Each year 20 or more of my friends get together for holiday brunch. This year we tried Cafe Sierra. The choices of food you is endless. You can go from Japanese cuisine to Spanish just by walking from one station to another. If you are a seafood lover like me you will think you died and went to heaven festing on the crab, shrimp and mussels. The price is a little high but expected with bottomless champagne a long with great food. Service was great and everyone left content and full.

I had breakfast here on a recent trip. The server was extremely nice. The food itself was pretty standard breakfast food, nothing special.

We had their breakfast buffet included with our room. The breakfast was good, offering a lot of hot and cold options. The staff here was very friendly!

We went to Cafe Sierra on Monther's day. Everything was delicious and there was so much to choose from. You name it they have it! I loved the fresh oysters and crablegs. They also have a Chinese buffet, prime rib and lobster. There are also many desserts to die for! I came with my family and we had an amazing time, there is something for everybody and the staff is very friendly. We will be coming back!

Not a big, diversified menu but what food is available was top quality. Waitresses were very cordial and helpful. Did not have one bad meal there from several I did eat there

We came for the Sunday brunch and a good tip is to get there early. The food is nice and fresh. The crab, lobster & oysters were delicious The Korean kimchi short ribs were off the hook & so we’re the beef ribs!! The prime rib looked delicious! The sushi bar was fantastic & onolicious!! You can get homemade waffles, omelette & pancakes, we definitely had diversity of food at our table & it was all delish. Needless to say the best was the dessert area if you have a sweet tooth!! The ambience & our server Jovita was excellent. Constantly taking our plates and clearing the shell bins. Serving us free flowing drinks included in the price. As we enjoyed the live music. there was 15 birthdays and saying it 15 different ways. Super fun! Deedee the manager was super sweet to us & made sure we were happy with everything. Parking options include both valet and self parking which end up being $13 instead of 45. Thanks Hilton Café Sierra for making our Sunday so special! For the price, I think it is worth it $95 Sunday brunch plus gratuity. You don’t get endless lobster and crab & all the other goodie’s for that amount anywhere!

We went to the weekend prime rib and seafood buffet at Cafe Sierra in the Universal City Hilton and after reading the Yelp reviews we had lowered expectations. A universal complaint was the buffet is on both sides of a very busy walkway from the lobby to the function rooms. This is a terrible setup but soon to be rectified by the opening of a new room off the walkway specifically for the Cafe Sierra buffets. I would not go there until this new room is opened. That being said, the quantity, quality, variety and flavor of the dishes were really exemplary and beyond my expectations. I am very picky about buffet brunches and for a dinner buffet this ranked very high in comparison to all the high end buffets I've had. The value, at $54.00 per person, is terrific. The prime rib and roast lamb were truly outstanding. The sashimi was good quality considering the venue. The variety of meats and Asian dishes was astounding and the seafood selections by from lobster to king crab to oysters, mussels, clams and many different shrimp dishes. There's a taco bar and a sushi bar to make anything you like. Lastly, I have never been big on buffet desserts. They usually look nice but are bland and uninspired. The dessert choices were beyond the same old, same old and some of the best cakes I've had anywhere. I was truly impressed by the cakes, crime brûlée, panacotta, fresh fruit, and finger delights. It's topped off by delicious homemade donuts, a crepe bar and a chocolate fountain. I'm certainly coming back after the remodel is complete. There is no better value in LA!

Although the staff is very attentive and helpful, the food here is not great at all: effortless, bad quality food. Would not recommend.

Went to Easter Brunch at Cafe Sierra. So Disapointing. The Fried shrimp only came out once. Could not get a medium rare piece of Prime rib the entire time i was there from 11am-1pm. Usually go for Easter and Mothers Day. Waiter kept saying he couldnt wait to retire. Spent $75.00 for alot of let down.

Fifty four dollars is a lot of money for a meal. Succulent prime rib, lobster, fresh sashimi, Alaskan crab legs, to name a few, would definitely be worth more that $54. This is by far the best buffet money can buy in the LA area. Can't even compare to the 65+ dollars buffet at Caesar's Palace. So if you have an appetite or would like to impress your out of town guests, this is the place to be.

We Got A discusting dirty glass, strawberries in the breakfast buffet was too old. Shrimp cocktail for dinner was so boring. Really bad experience. Choose One of the restaurants at the universal City walk instead.

You ever spend $60 and just say, "It was okay." Well, YOU WON'T SAY THAT HERE!!! King Crab, that's right, all you can eat KING Crab; of course they have snow crab also but can you believe they have King Crab. How about this, Lobster Claws, that's right, Maine Lobster Claws - again all you can eat. Then a literal mountain of shrimp! Forget the omelette station, although they have a good one, just dive in to the Prime Rib station (that's right) Prime Rib sliced to order. The mashed potatoes, ribs, veggies, croissants, etc. they even have cotton candy. I wanted so badly to pull up a chair at their chocolate fountain and dip the strawberries, marshmallows, and sliced pineapple in it all afternoon. All this combined with sushi, orange juice, champagne, and chilled water was simply overwhelming. Thank God they had a wheelbarrow to wheel me out to the car afterward because I was truly a glutton who was satisfied beyond measure. Vegas may have buffets with more choices but none compare to the Cafe Sierra's taste. $60 per person was actually a steal. This was their Mother's Day Brunch - I hope they have a Father's Day Brunch also.

This was the best hotel breakfast for us in Los Angeles. Excellent selection, quality food and great service.

We reserved for Thanksgiving Day and this was one of the best buffets I have experienced. Huge amount of diners, but service was excellent and plates removed promptly. The seafood (shellfish especially) offerings were over the top fresh and there was so much to choose, that it was stupefying. They even had slushy machines which we noticed late in the game, and it proved to be the perfect palate cleanser (OK, so intermezzo sounds more elegant). The carving selections were delicious and we loved the sushi appetizers. Desserts, especially the crepes-to-order , were superb. Honestly, there was nothing to criticize. This may be the start of a Thanksgiving tradition.

We always have low expectations for hotel restaurants. Hilton restaurants on the east coast tend to have pretty lack luster food. We decided to give this restaurant and try and loved it. The servers were so friendly and the food was wonderful. Loved the asian options and fresh salads. We went back and had several meals at the hotel! Last night I had a salad with an orange flower dressing and it was a treat.

The Los Angeles Universal City Cafe Sierra has the best Saturday dinner buffets I've been to. It's comparable to Caesars Palace Las Vegas. It includes a total seafood selection including; lobster tail, assortment of crab legs, shrimp, specially prepared assortment of salmon and Mahi Mahi, made to order tacos, fresh crepes, and full sushi area. Other items include prime rib, soups, salads, and a large selection of desserts and fresh fruit. Pianist/Singer Jennifer Wood performed during dinner. Jennifer has a soothing voice that enhances the buffet experience. Thanks to manager Thomas Cook for his selection of music. Buffets are Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Sunday brunch includes champagne.

Saturday Brunch: Let me start off by clarifying, the info on their website states that the brunch begins at 10am, that is incorrect, it begins at 11am, but what is even worse, the price stated on website is $32, it is actually $40. $40 is absolutely not worth it. If you want a custom made omelette, ok, they can do a decent job of that, all else is pretty mediocre at best and not worth the price. The setting is very casual, low end hotel cafeteria feel. Service was fine, but then all they had to do is refill our OJ & coffee. Would not go here ever again.

The best buffet I've ever been too. Baked lobster, carving stations, sushi, oysters, king snow crabl legs, gourmet chinese, traditional American Holiday food, pasta bar, and a fabulous desert spread. I must of eaten about 3000 calories. And for $40 bucks, this is a bargain. Just don't forget the maalox and tums. :)

We met Mr. Francisco Giron when we at dinner at Cafe Sierra...he was very accommodating and friendly...he would check on us several times to make sure we were having a good time and that the food was prepared to our liking...he always had a smile on his face and kind words to say...thanks again, Rod and Elsa

Had the buffet on a Friday night. No vegetables, salads, bread or cheese which was very odd for a $49 buffet. Children may struggle for choice. Food was ok, best part was desserts. Caters mainly to the Chinese with wide awlection of fish and chinese dishea. Very oddly, the guests from a wedding being held on-site, descended upon the buffet for their meal and made it all very crowded.

This $69 US all you can eat buffet ,is one of the real hidden gems in L A, I just had a lot of seafood in New Orleans the last few days , when my friend told me we are going to have dinner at Cafe Sierra ,I did read and hear a lot good reviews about this restaurant , It is so tough to say NO ! I love seafood and steak !!! over +45 years in the hospitality industry, I am too fussy , I can call myself a food commissioner ,the restaurant is very big and the decor is very relax, lovely higher ceiling , Wow , all the food station well stock up and clean ,there is so much food to choose , I just do not know where to start !! special the seafood station ,I am drooling !!! the cold seafood station have lovely ,prawns ,King Crab legs ,Oysters !the King Crab Legs not Mickey Mouse , it is so big and have a lot of meat inside ,very sweet (That meas good quality ! ) simply stunning with the price ! only $69 US , ( buffet like this is well over $100 ,In Hong Kong ,this years ,I paid almost $150 $ ) save room for the Hot seafood station ,,just fabulous , very unique , the steamed lobster not dry at all , delicious ,,very fresh quality ,and the sushi is okay ,the prime rib just melting in my mouth ,M.R , ,the Chinese food is well balance of flavours ,I am too full to try the Noodle and desert ! over all ,well exceeded my expectations , service is amazing ,our wine glass never empty , not a single dirty dishes on the tablet ,very professional service ,,so ,if you are in LA , must try this restaurant out ! I truly recommended it ! if you do not like seafood ,there is a lot to choose from ! This for sure is my top ten Seafood Buffet in the World !

Yes, your on vacation, but no need to get railed by a hotel into paying what they want you to pay. The $20 buffet basically get you bread and coffee and for $30 you get everything which includes unusual Asian dishes that only asians would eat. We went ala carte and got a rubbery $15 waffle and an $18 omelette. The food quality did not meet even these price points and if we weren't going to the park that day, we would have just gone down the street to the "normal folks" waffle house.

Cafe Sierra, you guys rocks!! Service were awesome, food selections on Sunday were fantastic. Come on people, Try and tell me what you guys think.

Went there for Xmas Buffet 2022. Was $139 per person before tip and tax. No champagne included. Food was presented well at large buffet but taste was so-so. Table service was just OK.

Three types of crab, snow crab, king crab served on Ice and Dungeness served warm with drawn butter. Prime Rib and sides were excellent along with Asian dishes. DESSERTS WOW!!! Not the normal defrosted low quality desserts found at most brunches. Quality danishes and breads along with Caviar, Oysters and baked salmon that were also excellent !!! The service our waiter Santos provided was superb !! A must venue to celebrate a birthday with their roaming musician's singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!

I have not tried the buffet, but the menu options are way too expensive for the value, and the food is not that good. And guacamole didn't seem fresh either.. Def not worth to try- you can find better options at city walk..

The food was excellent! It’s really worth the price. There was live music too. Our server, Jovita, and hostess, Deedee, went above and beyond to make our experience awesome. Deedee was so welcoming and cheerful. Jovita was the sweetest, not just to us but to everyone she served, and she anticipated all our needs throughout the evening. She is hands down the best server we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is a true gem to the establishment! Thank you!

We ate at Cafe Sierra several times during our stay and the food was outstanding. We highly recommend giving it a try!

Delicious! We were staying at the Hilton and saw the advertisement in the elevator for the dinner buffet. We asked if we could take a look at what they had to offer. We decided to splurge and take the whole family. Everything we tried was delicious! Even my very picky son was in heaven eating the crab legs. The atmosphere was great. They have a lot of tables packed in, but we didn’t have any problems with hearing other conversations around us. The staff was really friendly. My only regret is that I was stuffed and wasn’t able to try every item they offered.

Seafood and Prime Rib Buffet!! An unforgettable meal, stuffed myself so much I couldn't even breathe right afterwards LOL. Cannot wait to go back to Cafe Sierra. Such an amazing environment and I had the best time eating there and I can't wait to come back. The oyters and all of the seafood tasted so fresh and delicious, I am a seafood fanatic so I had to try every single thing there was there. Prime ribs were good too. There was a large section for deserts which I loved!! The staff were so nice and helpful, kept checking up on us, refills were done every so often.

Best hotel buffet I have ever had with several choices of price levels. There is good for any eating plan.

Excellent selection of fish and seafood, especially in the Asian food section. Roast beef, sliced to order, excellent, the desserts are awesome, especially the creme brûlée.

No kidding, $7 for a cup of tea. Never seen anything like that at any level of hotel anywhere. Super bad!

The breakfast buffet was very good but much overpriced. I can somewhat understand $28 for adults with unlimited juices and fruits, made to order omelets and such, but a 4 year old for $18 just didn’t seem reasonable. For the little kids I would recommend ordering from the menu. Our server however was beyond awesome in working with my family to make the cost more reasonable.

I was staying next door at the Sheraton for business, and decided to walk over to Universal CityWalk for dinner. As I walked past the Hilton, I noticed the sign for the seafood buffet at the Cafe Sierra. Sounded good and probably better than the Hard Rock or other chains at CityWalk. I was seated right away and sampled most of the offerings at the buffet. I was very pleased at the quality of the seafood, the interesting range of seasonings from the Asian side and the variety. The service was excellent. the entire experience was an unexpected pleasure.

Was debating between 2 and 3 stars. I have dined here before and remember a generally positive experience, otherwise would of not ventured back. Probably should not of ventured back. They sent me an email regarding their Lobster bash in the month of July and I thought it would be a good time to get some seafood, so we ventured forth. The check-in was easier than I remember, their podium being in the middle of the lobby now. Luckily made reservations, and we were seated rather quickly. Judging by the amount of people congregated in the lobby, this was as popular as I remember. We sat in the main dining area, right near the piano. As we sat down, the host said our waitress would be right with us. Sat around for a bit, but no one approached, so we decided to take the hosts' suggestion of starting the rounds, then coming back and waiting. The food in these stations was good. Had a nice selection of chinese food. Well we finished the first round and still no service. Odd Went off to try and find this lobster. talk about unorganized chaos. If you have never been to this buffet before, over half the stations are in the hallway and the lobby area. There were 3 different lines to get to the lobster and no one controlling. after 10 minutes of just standing there, I gave up and went to find the crab instead. Selection was good. fun fact - People were just grabbing plates of shrimp and crab and carrying them off to the lobby and to their rooms to enjoy. (why did I have to pay?) Came back, and still no server/waitress. Finally flagged someone down and they were surprised no one took care of us, and grabbed drinks for us. I think during this meal, my glass was either non existent or empty more than full. Roasted meat was gristly and tough. Desserts were a huge dissapointment. had a whole stack of churros that looked so good, but tasted horrible. the cakes and pastries were very meh. Ice Cream machine was broken. Cappuccino machine was too. Frozen Granita had no flavor. I have had better experiences at places like Hokkaido Buffet for half the price.

We were staying at the Hilton and thought on our first night we would eat in the hotel. Wow it was amazing. It was a buffet style. all sea food you could think of. as well as meat dishes cooked to your specification. The staff were always on hand to help out I would recommend booking as its a very popular venue for special birthdays and family get together. You just get another plates when you want to try something new and your old plate is removed very quickly Sea food, meat dishes, pasta dishes, curry dishes as well as the deserts which were vast. You need to try it i'm sure you will love it

You've got to experience Cafe Sierra and Efren's Professional Staff. I felt like a VIP the way they cater to your every whim. Make sure to say Hi to Efren you'll be delighted and try to get Jose as your waiter if you're Lucky. We had the Best time dining there for 6 meals !

Excellent breakfast buffet every morning. Prime rib and seafood buffet on Friday and Saturday nights is phenomenal! Excellent service!

This restaurant is located inside the hilton universal, next to the universal studios. Great food, though can be a bit pricey for dinner. Staff very friendly and attentive.

We were on our way to Los Olivos so we could not hesitate to stop at Café Sierra for their fabulous Sunday Champagne Brunch along the way. We decided this time we would park somewhere near the metro station that had no prohibitions and walk up the hill to the Hilton (the exercise was good going up and down). The Brunch was fabulous as always with the different types of caviar, lobster, oysters crab and shrimp. Even with the little tastes of my favorite things it is so easy to get full quickly. The sushi was excellent too! We were seated near the two musicians which made our visit even more special (we asked ahead for this seating and the hostess remembered us). It is important to go slowing in order to try more delicious options! This is my husband's favorite brunch.

October 21, 2023 Satuday! Excellent Waitress! The King Crab is the best dish and very tasty and melts in your mouth. The Sushi is very high quality...the Toro and Ahi Tuna...is so delicious. As of today, the price is $139 per person, well that was what they charged us today, but I have to say it was worth it. The Prime Rib and Lobster was great too! Definitely will go back!

The staff at Cafe Sierra are all so very nice, helpful & greet you with a smile! We had breakfast here twice (we were staying in the hotel) and went to their Seafood & Prime Rib Buffet on Friday night. Breakfast was great! The first morning I didn't want to eat too much so ordered the avocado toast. It was delicious - egg cooked perfectly, a good portion of avocado on whole grain toast. It was exactly what I needed before hitting Universal Studios. The 2nd morning we did the breakfast buffet. I rolled out soooooooo full but it was great! Omelets made to order, waffles & pancakes made to order as well. Along with everything else under the sun: chow mein, fried rice, fruit, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, doughnut bar, oatmeal...pretty much you name it, they had it! If you are ready for a hearty breakfast, it was well worth the price ($30). Now unfortunately that is not how I felt about the seafood buffet. It wasn't bad per se, but I don't feel it was worth the money and I wouldn't go a second time. The crab was super salty, the lobster was tough, you could practically see through the slice of prime rib and so on. For $69 plus tip, it wasn't worth the money. But I do have to say, the staff are all wonderful so we tipped on their service, not the food quality.

Let me start by saying that my family has a tradition of going to upscale buffets, and so I've seen my share from around the country, and this one by far had the biggest spread, and some of the best food. The have a sushi bar with bowls and bowls of different kinds of roe, they have a taco station, a hand-roll station, a crepe station, amazing and rare fresh fruit items like dragonfruit, They have numerous desserts, but of course the highlight was the chocolate fountain, which was very high quality (not all chocolate fountains can say that). They also had lots of great, fun items for kids. Their industrial-grade orange juicer not only produces great juice, but is quite entertaining to watch. It is $40 per person, but considering how much value you get, I'd say it is well worth it

Staff and food was really amazing. The Buffet was spectacular both for breakfast and dinner. Restaurant food also served in the bar, where the bartender was knowledgeable and friendly.

Great value, great selection on the buffet, and awesome value.. worth a visit for breakfast or dinner.

cafe sierra is the most outstanding buffet dinner we ever had,”seafood and prime rib buffet” lots of seafood selection, dessert, different kinds of meat, over all experience is spectacular.worth the price and staff is very attentive.

While staying at the Hilton we did have breakfast at Cafe Sierra each day, I did not choose the buffett as it was over $32.00 per person, but I did order ala carte, the two egg platter had pretty small portions for the price. The breakfast fajita was really good and tasty, but in my opinion it was very expensive. Coffee is great though!

They've always done a superb job at hosting my events.

We decided to stop in while on vacation after reading good reviews about it. They do a seafood buffet on Friday and Saturday nights, which is amazing. You will pay a little bit more for this buffet, but it is huge, there is a great selection and the food is incredible. When you first get there, they seat you at a table that has a tablecloth and a candle, and there is a musician in the restaurant playing music. The sushi was very very good, as was the lobster and the lamb. My husband liked the clam chowder and the ribs the best. They have a crepe station too that looked amazing but we didn't get to try because we were too full. This is the best buffet I have ever been to.

I have never seen such an incredible brunch buffet! Cost was around $40 - but well worth it. They had everything - King Crab Legs, Russian Crab Legs, Mussels/Oysters (One of the two, not sure I don't eat them), Shrimp, Sushi, Sushi Station, Delicious Crepes filled with fresh berries, Taco Station (not that great-guy at that station isn't pleasant or helpful either), Carved Meat (I don't eat), Eggs Benedict, and numerous delicious side dishes, salads, fresh fruit, desserts (couldn't eat any-stuffed), etc. There was alot of food, and many unique items. There were so many things to try and delicious items, just wish I could have fit more in. I loved that they provide handwipes at your table - they were much needed and appreciated. The service was outstanding, our waiter was very attentive and there with anything we needed, juice, champagne (included), coffee, more handwipes, etc.. All the staff was great. Immediately afterwards I was overstuffed, sorry I ate so much, and regretting that I went - but funny thing I would absolutely go again in a heartbeat! I would probably travel to the area just to go there again. The good part is they are right next to Universal Studios (they provide free shuttle bus service there). So we were able to waddle off part of what we ate at the outside Boardwalk.

Really great selection ,very well prepared food and an excellent chef doing both omelettes and waffles and pancakes .Was so good we ended up here each of the 3 mornings we were here .Also a shout out to the lovely little gut who used to clear the tables, such a nice guy

The seafood buffet at the Hilton Universal is packed with so many selections that your head will spin. They offer King crab legs, Salmon, Shrimp ten different ways, a huge sushi bar where they will make you custom rolls and hand rolls. They also have the greatest desert bar that you will need to visit even though you are full. Fun for the kids as they make fresh crepes, chcolate fountain and so many more items I cant fit into this review. People come in from the surrounding areas just to eat here so it gets crowded. Make a reservation in advance

ENTRÉE: Lobster Thermador; King Crab Legs and Claws; giant, boiled, you-peel, shrimp; Cioppino (California Seafood Stew) [3], Ginger Dungeness Crab; Pacific Halibut [4]; Atlantic Salmon; Atlantic Salmon in Teriaki Sauce, Ahi (Yellowfin or Bigeye Tuna) (all excellent), Shellfish Ceviche [5]; Peking Duck (tasted gamey); prime rib (slicing Station), roast pork, pork ribs, lamb (without mint jelly). At least 3 kinds of lobsters, King Crab, Dungeness Crab, and Opilio Crab pieces in various dishes. SIDES: Seafood Paella, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, several rice dishes, pasta dishes, fried rice CONDIMENTS: Salt and pepper shakers on the table, the shrimp sauce was pleasantly spicy but needed more horse radish, lemon and lime wedges, wasabi, shoyu (soy sauce), white pickled ginger, no jalapeno pepper (in California?), no mint jelly, no hot sauce, no melted butter SILVERWARE: Adequate. Good cracker for the crab and some interesting picking-out tools. SERVING TIME: NA, but dishes were quickly refilled. DESERT: Fabulous and intricate. Chocolate fountain and Cotton Candy. BATHROOM: Did not examine, but I am certain they were fine. COST COMPARISON: Seemed a bit expensive ($47), but the food was so great, who could complain? BILL: Handled well. SECURITY: Inside the hotel. Sort of open-air to the lobby. Not certain how they keep up with who is paying or not. PROBLEMS: (A) Many diverse food bars and manned food stations are well spread out, which is good for serving time. The only problem is that finding everything can be confusing. Some things are hidden around corners. (B) The line at the Crape Station was always long. (C) The grumpy Taco Station man. (D) They no longer have their Sharkfin Soup [6], no abalone, Jellyfish, Snow Crab Legs, Shrimp Cocktail, Pâté Platter, Calimari (Squid), Octopus, Clams, Clam Chowder, Quail, Haagen Dazs icecream, Scallops, Cheese Baked Lobster, Escargot, Walnut Prawns, Coconut Shrimp SUMMATION: Best seafood buffet that I have ever seen. Footnotes [1] Fish Tacos is a famous California product, which I wanted to try. I closely examined the bloody, chunks of uncooked fish. It was shark. May have been Common Thresher (Shark), Alopias vulpinus, which I also wanted to try. An excellent tasting fish and California has one of the few, may be the only, legal and sustainable fisheries for this animal. [3] This stew is another famous California product, which I wanted to try. It had the traditional black mussels, ribbed clams, shrimp, white fish, and crab legs. However, it also had pieces of lobster, which it not in the traditional recipe. It should have had scallops, but I could not find any. [4] Hippoglossus stenolepis, I would have preferred to try the California Halibut, Paralichtys californicus. [5] Ceviche is fresh, raw fish marinated in citrus juices. Lemon or lime juice denatures the proteins and make the fish appear “cooked.” Unfortunately, most dangerous parasites are unharmed by citrus juices. They incorrectly call all kinds of cooked things in California “ceviches.” Jim Williams used to take Queen Conch right out of the water after a dive, out on the reefs, thinly slice the raw meat, marinade it in a lime sauce for a few minutes, and serve it in the boat. It was wonderful. [6] I would have liked to have tried it. There is nothing illegal or unethical about making “Sharkfin Soup” as-long-as the entire fish is harvested and utilized. I suppose it could encourage the deplorable practice of “Finning.” They stopped serving this June 2013 and it is now banned in California.

The cafe is a place with excellent service and food. We had many family parties and company banquets at the cafe. It is a place not to be missed. Great for family members of all ages.

Lots of food to choose from! Asian selection too. I think a Ramen bar, dim sum and other Asian food. Plenty of sweet stuff. The boys loved their donut display. They added nutella on top of their donut. It was a sugar fest! They burned it off at the pool!

Full buffet is more worth it than continental. The continental is $16 and only cold items and minimal. Toaster to warm bread was not working would've liked to warm up the other breads(croissants etc) but it wouldn't fit the toaster. Full breakfast had 2 breakfast meats, corned beef hash, breakfast potatoes, oatmeal, made to order omelets, soup, lunch dishes etc

I had free Hilton coupons for continental breakfast. Pastry items were dry and did not taste good. They had pre packaged yogurts, milk and cereal that was nice for the kids. The full breakfast buffet had large assortment but the cost is high.

Hands down best buffet, seafood or otherwise! We went to the Seafood/Prime Rib weekend buffet. Great quality, variety and service. A bit pricey, but worth it. Most buffets are quantity not quality, this has it all.

Amazing buffet- tons of sea food and amazing dishes. Service: 2 stand out gems here: Michael our server and Pabel at prime rib carving station. The BEST! Music was lovely as well. Great vibe

The breakfast was delicious but very expensive. We took the buffet for 2. 65$ including tip.....CAN do that very morning lol!

off the lobby a delightful watering hole with full menu service. staff - attentive and accomplished. I nice way to escape the hustle and bustle of the tour groups cycling thru.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars (5 stars for food, 0 stars for communication and transparency) Dining out should be about the whole experience—food, service, and atmosphere. At Café Sierra, my party of four found one of the most dramatic examples of incredible food paired with terrible communication. The Good: The buffet itself is spectacular, easily rivaling the best in Las Vegas. Over 50 feet of seafood, hot and cold crab legs, lobster served two ways, filet mignon, and prime rib carved to order. Add in a dessert bar loaded with pastries, mousses, cakes, and a made-to-order ice cream station with Thai tea and boba, and it feels like a foodie’s paradise. At $89, this would have been worth every penny as a comparison Bacchanal Buffet in Vegas is $91 It is by far the Best buffet in Vegas. The Bad: The real cost was nowhere near that. Two of us called ahead and were told $39 per person. When we arrived, the hostess (Anna) seemed to say $89. Disappointed ( after driving 130 miles to the Hilton) willing, we agreed—only to get hit with a nearly $800 bill for four people. The true cost was closer to $175 per person, plus drinks i believed were included and a mysterious “facility use” fee. Four Coke Zeros included, nothing extravagant. Why It Matters: The food is good, but no buffet—no matter how lavish—should leave customers blindsided. Prices weren’t posted, staff communication was unclear, and the phone quote was completely wrong. It felt less like fine dining and more like a bait-and-switch. Final Verdict: Café Sierra delivers a buffet worthy of Vegas, but without transparency, the shock of the bill ruins the experience. Go only if you confirm the price upfront—otherwise, you risk leaving with more regret than satisfaction.

They have a prime rib and lobster buffet dinner for about $60++ which is really not worth it. Yes, there were a lot of other items such as Chinese cuisine, Japanese sushi, Korean, Pasta, other shrimp, King Crab legs, etc. Everything looked plentiful and good, but it wasn't really a wow experience. My husband says it's like eating at a Golden Corral. The layout was strange as it it across the lobby and walkways, it was just not a nice hygienic feeling about it. And if there's an event, the wait times to get your food is a little crazy because everyone from different ballrooms including staying guests are lining up for food. You'll find ladies in evening gowns and guys in jeans or sweats all in a queue for the same meal. So strange, but that's that. I suppose if you were staying here, you would eat out of convenience, but with the Citywalk a short walk away, I would rather take that walk. If you are here for an event or if you're planning to have an event, I think the hotel should consider re-organizing their layout because it feels tacky and just ruins the experience. By the way, our waitress was this little lady and she was most likely not trained. She was throwing plastic wrapped cold towels on the tables instead of placing it down. She was just tossing it left and right like a ring bottle game. Also, she was spilling the pitcher drinks, she wasn't even pouring for you. If perfect service was meant to be either invisible or added value with recommendations and seeking feedback, this lady was a show. We were definitely taken aback by her service and and this reflects poorly on the hotel.

I was staying with my daughter for two nights at L.A before leaving to Osaka for my meeting , had a exceptional Sunday brunch at the Cafe Sierra located inside the Hilton Hotel Universal city , had a reservation for 7 , place not too busy at all , huge place with music on the background , but little surprised to say the lay out of the dinning room just like Hotel Ballroom Banquet set up , not a upscale or romantic place but impressed to say it is spacious sizeable well set up buffet stations , it is very good Seafood Brunch not spectacular little pricy , drinks was included and nice to see all the cold and hot food stations well stocked and clean , all the chefs and staffs very friendly , variety of foods you could dreams off from Salad to Chocolate Fountains and Sushi to Seafood also Meat to Soup , truly to say Eat till you Drop ! service not to your face friendly and the busy person so good and fast , soon as we got up for more food , right away he took our dirty plates and clean our tablet , well done ! over all my personal opinion the Buffet is overrated , good quality variety food selection but I do not like the atmosphere and the set up in the dinning room , you know what people say different stroke for different folks , nothing bad just Okay Sunday brunch the quality and the price do not match , but every one do enjoyed the meal and never feel been rush any time !

Imagine our delight to stay at the pet-friendly Hilton Universal City and be able to dine onsite at the redesigned Cafe Sierra. The very expansive restaurant allows for large groups as well as intimate seating. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, we were in town just one night and had a late dinner. I was surprised at such an eclectic menu with choices ranging from pizza to veal. My salmon was cooked to perfection and my husband enjoyed the tasty ribs. Ask about vegetarian options. Service was great and we hope to return next year!

Great food. Didn't see food running out. The lobster was over cooked, but I'm hoping this was an exception rather than the rule. Everything else was cooked and warm, like it should be. I will be back here. Our server left a lot to be desired, but it's a buffet so I was able to get by without him.

We didn't have dinner at Cafe Sierra but each day we did have breakfast. There are two levels of buffets as well as the menu. I chose from the menu ordering a spinach, Pepper Jack Cheese and bacon omelet which was fabulous. Cooked perfectly. Better than we make at home. It came with toast and I chose fresh fruit over potatoes. I ordered the same omelet for three mornings - and I'm not ashamed to say it because it was so good. Coffee nice and strong, too. One of the managers was really nice even while keeping an eye on the wait staff.

I went here for breakfast very early in the morning. I had the executive breakfast because it was included with my Diamond member benefits. I had the option to upgrade to the full breakfast for $10, but I didn't want a large breakfast. I was really impressed with offerings. They had good fruit, donuts, pastries, cereal, cold cuts, and sushi. I haven't seen such a large spread for a continental/executive breakfast. It was very good and definitely had enough to eat.

This place used to be a good place to go and have a nice seafood buffet but not any more. I have been a customer for 20 years, and the last two years has not been very good. The crab legs are no longer cracked for you and the cracker they gave you to use is a joke. With all the spikes on the legs it is really difficult to crack the legs without getting hurt. Most of the seafood is not very fresh. You can smelled and tasted the fishiness of the sushi. The lobster meat tasted mushy. The prime rib is over cooked. With the price Friday & Saturday at $47 per Adult and $20 per Child. Sunday at $43 per Adult and $20 per Child. I do believe the chief need to do a much better job or they will continue to loose their old establish customers.

What a wealth of food, Sashimi was delicous as was the bread pudding and the Bananas Foster. Over-cooked and too salty lobster, raw oysters with bits of shell, tough ribs, bad -rice sushi, tough prime rib, un-appealing salads. I realize that I came towards the end of the meal time but things looked "worked over". I guess my $52 isn't as important as the earlier eaters. The staff clears the dishes with their armpits in your face, reaching over you but they always have a smile. I needed change when I paid the bill but the waiter took it all and never came back. I had to ask for my change and then it took forever.

We have visited this place several times & have our annual Christmas party at the Universal Hilton, Cafe Sierra. They have a tremendous amount of variety from American to Italian to all types of Asian (Japanese, Korean, Chinese). It's highlight for us was the seafood selection from sushi to different types of shrimp, crab legs, REAL lobster tail & oysters to name a few. You may have to come visit a few times to be able to try everything b/c it's just too much to take in the first time. The service was great & Kevin the manager is the best. Only cons are it's a little on the pricey side (depends on day/evening range from about $40-50/pp), however is worth the price & wait (if you don't make reservations, especially if in big group). DEFINITELY the best buffet we've ever experienced.

My wife and I have been frequenting Cafe Sierra for many years now so there's a reason we're always coming back. Each time we've dined here we always make a reservation. It's possible to simply do a walk-in, but there may be a wait. Food: $69 per person for Saturday night dinner. For people who love crab legs and lobster, these items alone are worth the steep price. I solely focus on these shellfish over anything else. King crab legs are plentiful, meaty, fresh, and served cold. At the lobster station patrons are served a whole, steamed lobster that's conveniently cut in half. There's also butter by the crab legs. Other food items available are salad, made-to-order tacos, Chinese food, sushi, prime rib and roast beef, and various fish selections. As for desserts there's 2 stations dedicated to your sweet tooth which include ice cream, crepes, cookies, chocolate fountain, cakes, fruits, etc. Food selection isn't plentiful when you compare this buffet with other high quality buffets in Las Vegas, especially with the price. Even with its limited selection, the quality of the food is top notch. However, if you don't like/are allergic to shellfish, your food selection is limited especially with the lobster/crab legs being the best food in the buffet. Service: On this particular visit our server was awesome and constantly checking up on us and refilling our drinks. However, my overall experiences in the past have been average. Just know that this place can get very busy so servers are constantly on the move. Flagging down a server for their attention may be needed. Parking: The Hilton offers both valet and self parking. If you self-park and dine at Cafe Sierra, you can ask for validation, which is good for 3 hours. Ambiance: Great for groups, parties, or just-because. Patrons' attire can range anywhere to business-casual to shorts, polos, or just casual. There's a good mix of tourists paired with locals dining here so it's no wonder the attire can be mixed. Miscellaneous: The Hilton is only about a 10 minute walk from Universal Citywalk so its definitely doable to go to Citywalk after eating. We decided to take the free shuttle, which stops by every 5-10 minutes. Overall The price can be a turn off especially at $69. Fortunately, I enjoy lobster and the crab legs so we get our money's worth each time we visit. The great quality food makes up for the limited food selection (quality over quantity). The service has definitely improved over the years. Can't wait to come back.

We had our Girls Golf Team end of the season banquet in the Hiro Room, adjacent to the prime rib and seafood buffet. The set up, service, and hospitality were terrific. Efran and Shawna were there every step of the way to make this event memorable for our families, coaches, and administrators. Many parents complimented the wide assortment of food and our kids definitely enjoyed the desserts. A total Win-Win! Score! There is a sushi bar which serves hand rolls and cut slices of sushi, tuna, etc. There are two ice cream areas. A dispenser for sundaes and the other area is similar to Coldstone Creamery where the kids go wild.

Had dinner at the Cafe for my birthday. Yummy, creamy Lobster Mac n Cheese and a glass of red wine hit the spot after a travel day and walk around City Walk! Will be back for work soon! Hope they still have it on the menu!

The restaurant setting is very nice, the food quality is lousy. The prime rib has no flavor, the lobsters, the oysters are not as fresh as its should be I come home unhappy and hungry

This was the best Seafood Buffet I ever had. Fit for a King , Lots of Variety - Lobster Themidores , Alaskan Crab Legs , Shrimp , Meat Carvings , Desserts , the works. Check their website for days when they serving the Seafood Buffet , usually Fri/Sat/Sun. Book early as the restaurant can get full.

Went the Cafe Sierra this Sunday as we were desperately looking for a nice Champagne Brunch. As there arent that many good ones left, we decided to go back. Glad we did. There is live music, a hugh selection of foods, and lots and lots of champagne. Did I mention champage??? First round, we always start off light with salads. You have to be sure to get in your veggies. Well I passed so many good looking dishes, my plate was just about full by the time I got around to the lettuce. I had the spicy seafood, a couple potstickers, brussel sprouts with sausage (yum), shrimp ceviche and a little green salad. Round two: small samples of the Prime Rib, cornbeef, the clam chowder was delicious, but a little on the thick side, and king crab legs. They had a new station they just added which was a slider station. ground beef, fried chicken and short rib sliders. I was too full for those, but they looked good. They also have a fresh sushi station, made to order, an omlete and waffle station, a nice selection of desserts and lots of seafood. The seafood and the champagne were the draw for me. I will try going on a Sunday night for the seafood buffet which includes lobster. Price $43 for adults. I think it was worth the money. I can drink $43 worth of champagne alone! LOL!! If you find something better or similar to this for $43, ping me. I'm in!! PS... I wanted to compliment to musician. A solo guy playing the guitar, with a nice smooth, jazzy voice. He was great! I've seen him there before, so he must be a regular. If you're not where you can see him, you would think you were listening to a smooth jazz station. You'll love him. Be sure to give him a tip. He's a really nice guy, and he takes requests!

had dinner here after arriving early evening from Toronto. Service was prompt and efficient. Menus offer a reasonable selection and the server informed us of specials, one of which as prime rib with garlic mash which I chose. They have a reasonable selection of draft beers. My business associate has numerous allergies and they were courteous and careful to provide for her needs. Food came reasonable quickly although if asked they serve freshly made bread which is great. The prime rib was cooked correctly and was very succulent although way too filling (they only had 10 and 12 ounce so I ordered the 10) All in all a pleasant experience

We ate here several times during our stay at the Hilton... both sit down service and the buffet. The food was very good, the service was excellent. We had a variety of entrees, from steaks and burgers, to seafood and sushi.... the food was fresh and flavorful. This restaurant is a very good option if staying at the Hilton.

I dine alone last Aug 2022 for curiosity ! The service is really great..from the floor manager (I guess) who oriented first timer like me and through my very friendly server. All the foods are great, except for the prime rib! it was good though, except for how the guy cut and serve! He sliced it to as thin as he can! so non traditional cut for a prime rib! I guess he can at least asked first if the patron wants a regular size than just slicing it like as thin as a paper sheet That thin!!!!!! also, how I wish when they validate your parking tickets is 100% validated! l paid around $23.00 All in all, the Ambiant is great and clean. The foods are great. Quite spent $115.00 for a dinner, not including parking...but hey, I've enjoyed my lobster craving (but not the prime rib!) and the salad bar! Still recommending the place!

I was here for a conference and my husband joined me. In addition to conference food and lunches for me, he ate breakfast and lunches here for two days. He really enjoyed both. In fact, he ordered room service with the hand tossed cobb, the day I had the same at lunch with a collegue. We both thought the salad was good. We also ate here the day we arrived rather than go out. Dinner was really good. I ordered the seafood pappadelli and he had the ribeye steak. We started with the shrimp cocktail which was a unique presentation with fresh potatoe chips. On Friday, we decided to try the buffet. I'm not usually a fan of buffets; but the variety was wonderful, and we didn't go overboard with portions. We feasted on shrimp, crab, dim sum, sushi, prime rib and other dishes. I must say the desserts were tempting...made our selves choose three and there was not a bad bite among them. Special on wine that evening was a bonus. Wish I'd had room for the fresh donuts and ice cream. Overall our meals here were very good and service excellent.

This cafe is inside the Hilton Universal Studios hotel. The location and ambience is good. Breakfast for the hotel residents was also in this cafe and while it was good, the options for vegetarians were limited to mostly continental breakfast. Would have been nice to have more options in the hot dishes also.

I normally do not write bad reviews but on my last visit for Easter Dinner Buffet, the food was very disappointing - clam chowder was too salty whereas the Chinese soup was too blend; the prime rib quality was not good; the seafood was okay but not really fresh......and the list goes on......I have been to this place at least half a dozen times and find that the food deteriorated a lot compared to my last visit......for an Easter Sunday dinner, I'd expect the place to be full (perhaps in the past) but there was only 30% full this time around......also overhead a lady complaining to a manager on the food quality as well......really not worth the $55 price tag. The only good thing is that the staffs were attentive as always.

Cafe Sierra is a great place to to eat breakfast lunch or dinner. The buffet is one of the best out there. Jose was exceptionally great. Thanks to all.

Our server Javier was always attentive and friendly. Both the food and service is amazing. Can't wait to go back again.

First time visit, Very expensive for what you get. Food just average & breakfast was terrible. Service was good. $14.00 for a well drink cocktail WOW!! Had just a standard breakfast & the bill was $55.00 Another WOW!! Must be tourist prices Do not think I will be returning
Fine for breakfast but lousy for dinner
Evidently because they were understaffed while having an unexpectedly large crowd show up on a Thursday night, we had a terrible dinner experience. We were told the service would be slow, but not to anywhere near the extent that occurred. My basic salmon-over-kale-salad entree took an hour (not an exaggeration) to arrive after I had ordered it and the waiter did not come by during that time to tell us anything or offer to do anything (even to let me order a glass of wine). By the time that entree was about to finally arrive, we wanted to go back to our room and I requested the entree become a to-go order. The waiter then put it in a container without any salad dressing, which I didn't realize until I got back to the room. I ended up eating the salad and tossing the dry veggies. I need to add, however, that we also had two breakfasts here and those were both fine, with good service and tasty items, including some really good fresh fruit, which is why I upgraded this from a one to a two rating. So as long as it's not crowded, this restaurant could be satisfactory. The facility is nothing special; just a giant room with a high ceiling.
