Went to this location on 5th May around 7pm,stood bt the hostess station and waited for someone to direct me to a table which after several minutes had to ask if it was free sitting which another customer that was picking up a to go order told me yes. While walking to a section, encountered a waitress and once again I asked if I ould sit anywhere and she said yes. After sitting, several wait staff passed by my table and none of them acknowledge my presence there,it took more that 15 minutes for someone to come to my table and ask for a drink order(However,I heard them discuss who had that man). The drinks came, salad and pizza,I had to wait for utensils as well...only once did the wait staff asked me if things were satisfactory...there were 8 tables inside and three outside. In the meantime the "Manager" could be heard/seeing joking and chatting with several staff by the open kitchen, since its an open space the whole situation could be heard throughout. Not once this manager came or walked around and checked on the clientele, and believe me there were a few things that were not satisfactory with the costumers present. Then after my pizza,I felt that perhaps I wanted to have some dessert.Well,No.Due to the fact that another waiter, not my waitress came abruptly and before I could open my mouth said:" Here is your check, your waitress is busy overthere, whenever you are ready let me know..."This pissed me off and just got my CC and paid...then the waitress came to ask me if I wanted some dessert(!!!)Got off and procceded to leave, the gathering of waitstaff along with the so-called maanager still carrying on...once again, not a single thank you for coming!I could have ordered Domino's and could have had a smiling delivery person instead! Not worth it!

One of the better pizza chain restaurants nationally. They also have a very good variety of light and healthy options as well.

We stopped in for lunch. We were greeted at the door and seated quickly. Alejandra was awesome with service. Drinks we never empty and she checked on us each time she walked by. I had the pizza and salad lunch special and will be back by again. Make sure you have a little time to kill as this was made to order and not sitting under the lamp.

Pizza was good, fish tacos just like I had them in Cali. Salad was fresh. Bit on the pricey side, but worth the one-time trip. Want Pizza with a flare, get there.

I like their cesar salads, and their pizzas, I do not know if I have tried the pasta I probably have when I go with my family, and have in the past, or my friend/s, but I've only gone when I go to Fiesta 16 movie theater with family or friend/s to see a movie

We visited CPK at Huebner Oaks for an extended family gathering. We had a large party and received outstanding service from our server, Michael. He was extremely attentive and very friendly. The pizza was top-notch and everyone in our party enjoyed their meal! Definitely recommend this terrific restaurant!! :-)

We ordered pizza and a salad. It was all really good, fast service and no wait. It was a great place to take our kids after a long day at Sea World.

This was the 4th restaurant we hit this evening—-wait every where was just nuts! Sat quickly, service was fabulous! Food was delish!!!! Tried dessert first time and oh my it did not disappoint! Sweetest waitress ——excellent server! 2 pizzas and soup and we are still on wait list at another place!

I had the roasted veggie salad. It was a plate of various nice greens topped with very few veggies. I expected to see a greater proportion of veggies to greens. Kinda disappointing. But the service is fantastic.

Soups, salads, pizza, sandwiches. It is all good. Very varied menu, something for everyone. Excellent service. Consistently good!

I have recently cut back on carbs and was pleasantly surprised at how good the caulfilower crust on the pizza was. Very crisp and tasty.

Arrived for dinner Saturday evening and was greeted by servers sitting around and looking at us like...:Please don't let that be my table". Too bad...we tip 25%! After being sat, we were not greeted for just over 5 minutes. Our server, Megan, was friendly and got it all right. The California club salad was fresh, bountiful and and delicious! As was the Wild mushroom pizza! Price was decent. Atmosphere is bland and boring, and the staff obviously don't want to be there, but the food was absolutely worth it!

Never had this type of pizza before. It was great!!! Staff was super nice. Will eat there again! Can't wait to visit !!

They should've stayed in California.

This member of the CPK chain offers solid service and good service. The menu is common to others in the chain. The pizzas are all tasty. If you haven't had the planked salmon, you should try it. One unique offering at the San Antonio CPK is a local craft beer from Branchline Brewing Company.

And friend recommended this restaurant and it was a very good experience. The service was fast, the food was good. The prices are a bit high, but it is worth the money if you are looking for something different than the usual pizza joint.

I was able to walk to this restaurant from my hotel. My meal was excellent, the service was outstanding.

Love the pizza here!! I had the California Club Pizza - I really love the salad and avocados they put on top of the pizza! Family also had mac-n-cheese, Hawaiian pizza and The Meat Cravers! Love that we can all get exactly the pizza we want! The only thing was that the service was a bit slow (not the food, we got that very quickly), it took a good 7+ minutes for someone to greet us at our table and take drink orders and I hate having to ask for lemons three times. But... The food was GREAT!!

We were in a hurry and very hungry. Our waiter was excellent and we were able to enjoy some good food, good drinks and make it to our evening event on time.

We ordered take-out, as we were staying in a hotel nearby and wanted to eat in the comfort of our room. After we placed our order, they called back because we mentioned a food allergy. Called a second time from the kitchen to explain the possibility of cross-contamination and asked our comfort level. We wound up having to change our order a couple of times, and they never seemed frustrated or impatient. It was ready exactly when they said it would be. Then, as we were pulling out of the parking lot, the hostess came running out and said that they didn't put all the toppings on that we had requested. Gave us free salads, free drinks and re-did the order, even though we weren't upset - nor did we request any special compensation for our "trouble." The final order was ready in less than 10 minutes. We were really impressed that even though this is a chain restaurant, we were treated as if we were spending 10x more than the actual bill.

My family and I ordered take-out to bring back to the hotel. We told them we would pick it up at 5:15 PM and that is what time we picked it up. However, the food was already cold! I had the barbecue pizza, which was very average, and my wife ordered the garlic chicken pizza, and she thought it was very average as well. The same can be said for the pesto pasta and the key lime pie we ordered (the key lime pie was not worth the price). Not that great of an experience for take-out.

We love CPK but the menu had changed and quality has down graded with prices increasing. Last time butter cake was awful. Today salad or but pizza was not good! Service was good! Pretty sure last time at CpK!

Delicious food, fun environment. The service was great, also fun. The location is perfect, easy access.

My husband and I had never been to a California Pizza Kitchen. I've been craving pizza, but I'm trying to eat a bit healthier. I choose California Pizza Kitchen because they offered a whole wheat crust or a cauliflower crust for their pizzas. We arrived here close to 2pm on a Saturday. It was fairly busy. Brooke was our waitress. She was nice enough, but it was hard to understand her because she mumbled when she spoke. She was nice and attentive though. I ordered a water to drink, and my husband had a Dr. Pepper. Our drinks were brought out quick enough, but we were never given or offered any straws which was strange. We didn't bother asking for straws though. I'm sure we would have gotten them if we had asked so no big deal. I ordered the margherita pizza on a cauliflower base. My husband had the barbecue chicken pizza on a regular base. We were offered bread when we ordered, but I said no. We waited around 10 minutes or so for our pizzas which is probably about a normal time to wait. Our pizzas were delicious! I had never had a cauliflower pizza base before. It tasted like Parmesan (that's an ingredient in a cauliflower base) and was really good. My whole pizza was really good. My husband said his pizza was really good. We will definitely visit California Pizza Kitchen whenever we are around one. The food is really good!

My husband, son, and I had just arrived in San Antonio and were driving our rental car to our lodging when I saw the California Pizza Kitchen and knew that would be a great place for dinner! While the others ordered delicious pizzas, I enjoyed the signature salad with the candied pecans that I had had years ago in a California Pizza Kitchen in Virginia Beach. It was just as wonderful as I remembered!

While it's part of a chain, the service and food are great! I had the Thai Chicken Pizza, which I had previously in other restaurants by this chain.......it was great, and the service was wonderful! If you are looking for good food and good service from a chain you are familiar with, this is it!

Great food great service great waiters , Little expensive but well worth the cost the staff are awsome

As someone with celiac disease, I occasionally crave pizza. I am on a constant quest to find someplace that serves a good facsimile of the real thing and isn't cross contaminated. This place did not make me sick, but the pizza was only OK. Service was fine. It was very loud in the dining room at lunch.

Service is brilliant at CPK. They're all up in arms to be the first to smile and come to your rescue be it with your menu, drinks, recommendations, help the kids and bring us tissues. We loved the thin crust pizzas and love the ambience. Sad we didn't take any photos. Wold love to have uploaded it on Trip Advisor. Anyway, we're going to back again.

As a group we tried several different things, of those items the group favorite was the avocado chicken egg rolls everyone liked these and the other hit was the cauliflower pizza crust every those that did not think they would like it enjoyed it.

My wife and I had our very first date here some 18 years ago. And the quality of the food, service, and overall experience has always been extraordinary!!

Food and service was excellent I had the torsata pizza and loved it strawberry lemonade was also very good. Just a little pricey

The waiter was not great! He seemed new and young. We never got bread. Drinks were slow but the butter cake was as always wonderful

I took my mom to a California Pizza Kitchen in Hawaii over 20 years ago and she loved it. After her Dr appt yesterday I wanted to take her to lunch so I chose the California Pizza Kitchen. She is elderly and uses a walker and the staff made her feel so welcomed to their restaurant. Aaron held the door opened for her while I was parking the car. When I arrived, he seated us and handed us menus. Miguel was our waiter. Very, very good at his job, customer service skills are excellent. My mother always orders coffee and mentions that she wants it HOT! Miguel kept my mother happy. He kept her coffee refilled and it was always hot. He even put on a fresh pot for her. We ordered the Meat Cravers thin crust and had Miguel remove the last two meats from our order. (the Meat Cravers has 5 meats on it!) The pizza was fantastic and there was a lot of meat on it!!! The crust was almost paper thin and my mom raved about it the whole time. We were eyeballing the ginger crusted pumpkin cheesecake drizzled with praline sauce for dessert but were too full so I had Miguel box up the last 2 slices for my mom to take home with her. As we left, Aaron was there to open the door and wish us a good afternoon. Great staff, great service and great food is the perfect trio that I look for in a restaurant and California Pizza Kitchen gets a perfect score.

I had not eaten at a California Pizza Kitchen in several years, since a business trip to Los Angeles. We met friends at the location in San Antonio's Quarry Market and found my positive memories of other visits -- all in California -- were true. The service was prompt for the most part, the menu interesting and the surroundings clean and pleasant. The one negative the restaurant turned into a positive: Our desserts were very long in arriving at our table so the waitress just charged us half price for them.

I had family in town, so I thought it would be fun to eat here, we were so glad we did! Super tasty pizza! We tried the mupesa, which I enjoyed, and the fried Mac n cheese, which I didn't like so much... Too greasy for my taste. But aside from that, we had a great time and good food, great service! Just a little pricey for me.

The service was not good although they were pleasant enough. The food came out but not the quality of normal pizza kitchen. The pizza one of us ordered was burned and had to be sent back. My food was tasty and I would try it again. But if the service does not improve the second time, I wont be back.

Our family of four gets our own specialized pizza, which we love. We also get enough to take leftovers home for the next day's lunch. Service is always great and quick. They're always on top of refilling our drinks before we have an empty glass. Great job! My youngest son, who is a very picky eater, LOVES their mac-n-cheese. Now I'm not a huge mac fan, but here it's quite tasty. The sauce is more creamy than cheesy, and it doesn't drown out the noodles. Good job! My daughter had the Hawaiian Pizza sans scallions, I had the same all the way, and my hubby tried (and LOVED) the Pear & Gorgonzola (Bacon added) Thin Pizza...which was topped with chilled field greens in housemade Gorgonzola ranch dressing. First of all, I LOVE their pizzas that are topped with salad. What a great idea and oh so yummy. And I tried this and I must say, it has the perfect choice of gorgonzola (some cheeses are too stinky for me but this one was pretty mild). We'll be back soon...

PERMANENTLY CLOSED as of Summer 2024. There is a new Krean barbecue joint in that location that isn't bad, but there is no California Pizza Kitchen in the San Antonio area anymore.

Great place to take someone on their birthday for dinner with a gratis dessert sans singing. I had the Carmelized Peach Salad w Chicken- it was absolutely Divine!! I'm not easily impressed, but this salad was perfection: grilled chicken, greens, pecans, cranberries, gorgonzola cheese & amazing peach.

Food was okay, but not to impressive. The main problem was the service. Took along time for the waitress to come and take our order.

Our table started with artichoke spinach dip with chips. Was very good. I then had the Thai salad which is available in half or full. I really enjoyed the mixed flavors and the peanut dressing was great too. The rest of the table ordered shrimp scampi with zucchini ribbons in a garlic cream sauce. One diner felt there was too much zucchini but the other two really liked the dish. They server was kind enough to cut back on the garlic for one diner. I like that they offer different sized glasses of wine too. Good service and relaxing atmosphere. Entrees and full salads range from about $11.00 to $17.00 for a salmon dish. It can add up for a lunch, but it is good.

I've been in several restaurants of this chain and found this one to be a very generic version, visually. Service was fine. Prices are ok. We tried the white pizza which was good until it cooled off a little and became chewy. Still, good flavors. The cobb salad was fresh and bountiful. We liked it, but there's a much better one in the Quarry area.

As always the pizza was light but full of flavor. The service was excellent and timely. We had the traditional Pepperoni and the White Pizza split between three of us plus we all three split a half house salad. Plenty of food for all. Pepperoni was perfect! The white pizza is different but flavorful and while not my favorite it was tasty.

I <3 CPK and can't stay away from their Moroccan chicken salad, but for some reason, this location is really bad about serving food at a temperature above lukewarm. Pot stickers, pizza, soup, everything. I've always let them know and it keeps happening. Sticking to salads and bread.
The restaurant smells like dirty wash cloth's.They should call it.California Smelly Kitchen.
I am a CPK fan. This restaurant smells the salads are not fresh and they nickel and dime you on everything. The raspberry ice tea was all syrup and no tea. The salad that we ordered did not have half of the vegetables on it. I am surprised that someone in management doesn't notice what is going on. Someone doesn't care or get it. I will never go back to this location.
