I enjoyed a late lunch here. The chicken Waldort salad was fresh and tasty and the half portion was more than enough. The salted caramel pudding was a delicious dessert choice. Service was friendly. I ate on the patio and it was quiet and enjoyable.

This was my first time visiting this location in Philly. We arrived and sat outside. We were seated right away. The waitress asked if it was our first. I said no but it was for my partner. The manager heard that and came back and gave him a free dinner plate on his next visit and she thanked me for bringing him in with a free drink. Will definitely continue to cone back. Love the California Club sandwich. Oh and they have a big parking garage and it's free!

I've honestly never been to one of these before moving to Philly not too far away from this location. The guacamole appetizer with corn is very flavorful. I've also had the baked potato soup, which is one of the best sales of the soup I've had anywhere. Both times I've been here I've gotten hand tossed pizza. The crust is very good with good texture and chewiness. I've tried the chi plot chicken pizza, which definitely had a bite, and the BBQ chicken pizza, which had a great taste thanks to the red onion. They also have a gluten free menu, which includes various pizza options! Service has always been good, and the location offers outside dining as well. I highly recommend it here if you want to deviate from the standard pizza options.

Good food, reasonable pricing and great trio of sangria. Nice staff we sat at the bar 2 evenings. Our hotel was less than 10 minutes walk, it is a strange area and finding a nice friendly spot was most welcomed.

The restaurant is located in a shopping area within walking distance of the Courtyard Marriott. They offer a lot more than just pizza. My husband and I started off with the “Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower” It is buttermilk battered, fried and then tossed in the sriracha sauce and served with celery, cilantro, scallions and gorgonzola. It was delicious! Our entrees were the Halibut and the Ribeye. The Ribeye was tender and prepared to perfection and came with fingerling potatoes and an arugula salad. The halibut came with asparagus and butternut squash. There is a fairly decent wine list and you can order a 6 oz, 9 oz glass or a bottle. Our server was friendly and efficient. Menus are available online.

I walked in was greated I went alone so I sat at the bar I had a good waiter but the food that I got wasn’t how I expected I ordered a 5 cheese thin crust pizza it was very hard not your average pizza but service was good just wasn’t a fan of the food done think I will be back.

Service very good. Menu same as all CPK. Salad not the crispest lettuce, otherwise, food good. If you have never been to a CPK, the pizza is thin-crust. They now have gluten free, and it's pretty good. You can get lunch combos.

I have never been to a California Pizza and have to say it was excellent. Had Drinks and spinach dip and veggie pizza and our waitress was wonderful!!

Nice visit here. Everyone enjoyed their pizza's and appetizers. Really nice argula and asparagus salad as special that evening that was outstanding.

Good food in this place of west Philly. We enjoyed a lot this place also if it is closing at 9,00 pm. Is near to Target in a small corner food.

Just go back from lunch at their City Line place. I have very good things to say about it. The decor is pleasant and not over decorated. We were seated in a booth. We had soup and a large salad. The salad was big enough to satisfy two people, so we could share it. . One important positive issue is that it was quiet so t\hat we could talk and hear each other. I can recommend it without hesitation

Stopped to eat there last night after sightseeing in Philly,,, and was glad I did. As with my first time there, staff was VERY nice,,, helpful, and eager to tweak menu items for my vegan lifestyle,,, delicious,,, Thanks to Nicole, our server,,, and all the employees,,,, Doing a wonderful job,,, I'll be back next time I go to Philly

I was staying at a near by hotel and needed a healthy meal that was fresh yet easy on the budget. This place was perfect. I called in my order and walked over to pick it up (they have delivery too). Yum!

I think this restaurant is getting away on corporate control and going down the rabbit hole. Not to bad when it's off-peak hours however when they get busy or on peak Thursday through Saturday evenings don't expect good service, timely food delivery to your table or satisfying portions. Disorganized staff and kitchen, literally turning to a mess. At one time this was the place to go but competition is eating their bottom line. They need to get their act together or close the doors. The staff should be properly trained or replaced and the restaurant needs a facelift. Don't think I'll be going back.

California Pizza Kitchen is a great meeting place, because everyone knows where it is, it is extremely easy to get to, and parking cannot be better. For this reason this CPK is the meeting place for me and some of my old friends that I have not seen for years. The menu is outstanding with old favorites and new items to try. I love the combos of soups and salads. It's not easy to choose, because I do have my favorite CPK dishes, but I do also like to try some of their newer additions.

My family ate here twice while staying at the Crowne Plaza next door during the US Open. Great adultery with "small bites" and great kids menu too!

stopped in California Pizza Kitchen as it is very close to where I was staying. Had been there back in December. Saw Tamika, one of the servers. She had served me in December. She came over, we hugged and she remembered my name and that I was from Oregon. Wow! Food is pretty good. I will return if for no other reason than to see Tamika.

Our first time at a California pizza kitchen- we had a great experience. Loved the variety of choices on the menu and appreciated that there were gluten free options, including pizza. Sat outside and it was very pleasant. Server was fabulous- friendly and attentive. Food was served quickly and was delicious.

In order to find the chicken on my salad you needed a magnifying glass. The salad was delicious but there was minimal chicken. For 10.00 it was definitely not worth the price. First time and last time for me.

This is the 3rd time I have visited this restaurant in Philadelphia with my family. They have a wonderful selection of chopped salads with various types of seasonings and different varieties of food mixed in. The service is slow, and we had a long wait! However, the quality of the food makes up for the long wait. This is an excellent place to eat before or after shopping at the Plymouth meeting mall. I would highly recommend this for families.

Location convenient, parking garage adjacent. Restaurant was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Food as expected, was good and served quickly. Conversation was easy. Not rushed.

Extremely good and friendly place, pizza was amazing!!! Huge choice of salads, they are also open for brunch and have nice outdoor sitting area, free huge garage steps away. Great place for families with small kids. I wish they had more locations in New York

I love their avocado club egg roles. The smashed pea soup is tasty. I recommend their salads and sandwiches. Parking is convenient and service here is great.

Ate dinner there on Saturday and it was amazing... From the minute we walked in the door we were treated like family. The hostess, the manager, the servers,,, Everybody was very pleasant and they went over the top to accommodate my vegan lifestyle... The food was delicious !!!! Thanks for the sunshine you gave us on a rainy day !!!

Food and service were both very good. My Margarita was really good. Pizza very good. My wife had the salad with steak which she enjoyed. The experience - much to my surprise - exceeded expectations. We would return.

Food that I had was just ok. But the dessert is crazy delicious. The butter cake with ice cream is soooooo good. I've gone there just for the dessert on multiple occasions. It's a lil under $10 but worth it and kinda big I always share.

Sometimes a 4, sometimes a 3, but the price is always the same....haha I work within walking distance of this California Pizza Kitchen so I frequent it often but, it's a roll of the dice. When it's lunch decision time at the office & CPK is suggested we joke, "are you feeling lucky?" When it's good, it's freaking awesome!!! When it's "off," it's OK. A great menu all round; not just amazingly good pizzas but delicious artisan salads (and I'm not a salad guy), sandwiches, etc. It's "pricy" for lunch but worth the buck...on a good day. If it's a bad day, it's still ok just over priced. Earlier this week I had a Cobb salad (I'm not a salad guy) that was so good I went back today for the same. Earlier it was loaded with the "good stuff." Today was on off day. And the amount of the "good stuff" (chicken, bacon, avocado, blue cheese) in the salad was scarce but, there where plenty of greens. A good place sometimes but, it lacks consistency! The service.... A roll of the dice to both extremes. But that's half the fun (grin).

I went there by myself and sat at the bar. I sat there for probably 10 minutes before anybody acknowledged my existence and actually got me a drink and a menu. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and it was really good. There wasn’t that many people in the dining room and there seemed to be enough employees there but it really looked like a lot of them were just standing around and doing nothing. The bar tender (Justin) waited on me and I felt bad for him because it seemed like he was the only one doing anything. He was moving non-stop, tending to customers at the bar as well as customers at the regular seats. Justin was really nice and helpful, and again he was doing everything he could, but he just needs some help in there. Aside from the slow service, the pizza was really good.

Went there for the first time. I live in Europe so I thought I would try the thin crust margherita pizza. Doesn't compare to European ones. Crust was thin and hard. Not flaky. Could taste the pizza sauce. Didn't notice any mozzarella cheese. Would not recommend the thin crust margherita. My fiends salads looked good. When I asked for a local beer on tap, waiter offered larger known brands vs local. It was my first time and I was not impressed.

I called in my take-out order and after I received it, it was not correct. I requested the wheat crust, but I received the thin regular crust. I also asked for basil, but there wasn't any on the pizza. Unfortunately, I didn't notice these problems until after I left the restaurant and arrived home. It was too much trouble to return to the restaurant. I also ordered a beverage without ice. When I arrived, I told the worker that I had asked for a to go drink without ice along with the pizza. When she gave me the pizza, she forgot the drink. I reminded her and she came back with it full of ice. I kindly reminded her that it was supposed to have no ice. She did apologize, took it and replaced it. She also mentioned that there were utensils in my bag, but there weren't. I asked her for utensils and she said, "they're in the bag." I looked in the bag AGAIN and confirmed that they weren't in there. She got annoyed and grabbed some. I may have given a higher rating in spite of the problems I encountered, but the worker's attitude is what negatively impacted my experience the most.

Nice to see Gluten Free options on the menu. Service was ok. They forgot my wife's pizza and instead of apologizing they just made her wait while we ate our food and then brought out her pizza. Besides that the food was very good and tasty. Nice selection of pizzas with great toppings and spices. I would try this location again.

Ordered takeout. The service was quick and the food was good. Easy to walk to location when staying at the crown plaza.

My co-worker and I went for dinner on a weeknight. I had fond memories of CPK at other locations. I ordered the egg rolls for an appetizer which were excellent. My co-worker had a salad and the Thai chicken pizza. The salad was fine, but the pizza had almost no chicken. She inquired of the waitress about the chicken and was referred to the manager. He sat at the table and pointed out all the quarter inch pieces of chicken... very patronizing! There were about 15 tiny pieces of chicken on the whole pizza! I had a delicious salad for my entre` which was supposed to have chicken but came without chicken. When I asked the waitress, she said she was sorry, but they forgot to put it on the salad. I suggested to remove it from my bill, but she brought a bowl with about 8 bites of chicken. Our bill was not addressed in any way... we paid regular price! We will not be back! It will be a long time before I try a CPK again. Poor customer service.

I should have walked away when I waited patiently to be seated by no hostess to greet me, but I waited and the person to be my server finally came around. This was around 4:30 pm and the place wasn't busy. When the jambalaya pasta arrived all of the shrimp had shell mostly covering all of the meat, which was annoying the cook didn't bother to remove. The server was poor at filling my drink and when I asked to see the manager, no one arrived. I will never go back to this place again.

We are a party of 6 and we ordered 5 pizzas and salad and they were absolutely fantastic and yum! We had the California club and that was great especially with bacon and avocados. The artichokes and spinach was my favourite and there were garlic too. Hawaiian pizza was good as well. Oh the quinoa and rocket salad was yummy too. Highly recommended

I went with my daughter, we ordered pulled chicken sandwich and chicken Alfredo. Both dishes were amazingly delicious. Service was very good as well. This was my first time and for sure will go again.

CPK never disappoints. Always delicious. Love their crust. Free parking in the parking garage. Great friendly service.

CPK has numerous locations. The menu continues to expand; now offering a large variety of good pizza, quite a few salads, main courses, appetizers and deserts. Many have full bars. It seems that they attempt to keep the restaurants clean and up-to-date.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and passed this restaurant on the way to check in. After a 500 mile drive we were both too tired to go out and I googled this restaurant and looked at the menu. We had eaten frozen California Kitchen pizzas at home before, but never at a restaurant. I called and the gentleman was friendly and I decided to pick it up rather than have them deliver it (you had to download an app. and go through a third party for delivery, and it was only around the corner anyway). I ordered "The Works" on a hand tossed crust instead of the thin crust frozen pizzas that we had eaten before. Good choice! The pizza was ready when I arrived and I took it back to the room. It really "hit the spot" (especially when accompanied by a bottle of Chianti that we had brought along). We both agreed that it was one of the tastiest pizza that we have enjoyed.

Fun atmosphere. Food decent. Good value for money. Get there early it gets very busy. Good service. Enough said.

Wanted a light snack: lemonade - was good, guacamole and chips was big and had more corn than avocado and the chicken sandwich was good Slow service - especially when we wanted to pay??

New to working in this area, my co-workers took me for lunch here. I had heard a lot about this place and was excited to try it. The pluses, we were seated right away, our server was pleasant and asked if we were pressed for time which we were. Our drink order was served quickly and our food order placed and then served quickly. The Baked Potato Soup was also a plus. I was extremely disappointed that I was not able to get the Spicy Chicken Tinga Quesadilla without the roasted red peppers (I'm allergic); sounds like this stuff is pre-made/frozen and then "cooked". So, instead I ordered what was supposed to be their specialty "signature dish" the "Original BBQ Chicken" pizza in the 7" size with a side of the baked potato soup ( I would have preferred a garden salad, but they don't have those either). The pizza was nothing to write home about; the crust was tasty but tough, the chicken could have been cut up smaller so it didn't weigh down the slice and fall off and the pizza had a funny taste that lasted the entire afternoon. I don't know if it was the "fresh" herbs that I had to pick off, the sauce or what but it was quite off-putting. As I mentioned, the soup was one of the pluses and would have been great without so many chopped scallions and if it had been served with a teaspoon instead of a tablespoon. Even having cooled way down it was still very tasty. Would I come back to this restaurant? I'm not sure. Maybe if all I was in the mood for was Baked Potato Soup, because there wasn't much on their menu that I could or would eat and at $10.95 for a 7" pizza and a cup of soup, I'm not sure that I would.

I stopped thru the CPK after a long day and had the most enjoyable time. The waitress made me laugh and the manager on duty was cool. The food was goods too. If you are in teh mood for different pizza CPK is always a must.

We needed somewhere to catch a bite to eat before grocery shopping so we wouldn't buy out the store. Having lived in San Francisco we were familiar and had many visits to California pizza kitchen. The Decour, the feel and the vibe so to speak weren't as nice as other CPKs. It was clean though. I enjoyed my Caesar salad, I ordered the half-size and it was very generous in portion. My daughter's salad was a chicken with barbecue sauce on the side and looked tasty. I also ordered a flatbread with roasted poblano peppers and sausage and I believe fennel. It was very good and the perfect size with a half salad. It was not overly salted or Seasoned either it was just right. It went great with my dogfish IPA. But the service was amazing! We were Greeted by a very pleasant young woman. Her smile made us feel welcome and not care that it didn't look like the CPKs We were used too. But what I'd like to rave about the most is our food server. She said her name was Tamra. aka on the receipt Tamara. Tamara was maybe the most personable food server I have ever met in my life. She was cheerful professional polite confident. Everything that you want when you go to a restaurant. Not to mention her smile was a knock out and you felt a connection immediately. If I was a casting company I would cast her for a TV show or a movie. She is just that type of person and has that face. When visiting my daughter I would not be afraid to return to CPK. Of course I would request one of her tables. The prices are good and you can't go wrong.

Had early dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. Food was average. Service was friendly, but rather slow.

Near our hotel we used this awesome Pizza restaurant, the staff were superb, very helpful and quick to serve, fabulous menu choices, plentiful portions and a good range of alcohol, well worth a visit.

As usual in CPK - great food, nice staff. My only complaint - they close early so make sure you check the hours before you go.

The pizza was good but the music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. Honestly, the loudest music in a restaurant I've ever been in.
Yummy for the money
The appetizers are great. If u are into nutrition and calorie counting I recommend this place. Some of the cheapest things on the menu are the tastiest.
