We hadn't eaten at a CPK in years and I wasn't that thrilled with my husbands choices. Then we went and were pleasantly surprised. The salmon was really great. Everyone in our party liked their food, even though it lacked an authentic local experience.

Nice place for a casual dinner. Went for dinner with my friend. Service was pretty good. Server Robert was very energetic and friendly. Pizzas were good, love that they have a wood-burning oven. The dough/crust is nice and light. I had the white pizza which was nice n cheesy. But by far the best part was dessert. I had the butterscotch pudding.... yummm! And my friend had the butter cake with ice cream which was almost as good.

Ordered food to go but they will also deliver for any travelers who are on their own. Food was good - not gourmet but better than a fast food option.

Great basic needs to fill up your stomach.. be in and out and on your way visiting the city. Great for meetings, kids and families.

I enjoyed a good dinner at the Cali Kitchen. The flat bread and pizza were very good. We had 2 wine flights. Good value!

The atmosphere in the place was nice, and so was the staff, but the star of the show, the pizza, had more ambitions than it could handle. Maybe it is just because my palate is more suited to the European cuisine, but I felt that the pizza was much, much too sweet and generally had to much spice and sauce, rather than focus on the ingredients. You could do worse, but you could also do a whole lot better.

Our daughter has celiac desease (allergic to gluten) and we found a hard time finding restaurants with glutenfree items, but luckily California Pizza Kitchen had glutenfree pizza. When we arrived in LA later on our road-trip, we visited KPK there as well.

We've eaten at CPK franchises before and enjoyed the experience. The menu selection is interesting and varied. The food is well-prepared, with local ingredients. We were gob-smacked to discover that our "luxury" hotel, Park Central, didn't have room service (a favorite indulgence for these two frequent business travelers). But right across the street was a CPK, so we dropped in about 6 PM. We got a fast, warm welcome. And as we ate, the manager came over to ask how we liked things. I'd ordered something new (they adjust the menu seasonally), a lemon-grass chicken dish. My wife had ordered the new spring salad with field greens and fruit. We got to talking. It turns out the Park Central wasn't the only neighborhood hotel that had dropped room service, which greatly benefited this CPK. About 40% of their sales are take-out orders. They have a full bar as well with cocktail specials.

We drove here today after a miserable service experience at CPK at Emeryville....(never go there)....this place restored our faith in CPK. The Tostada pizza was good as ever, the Spinach and Asparagus pasta excellent and the butter cake with Haagen Daz icecream out of this world.

My cousin gifted us CPK gift card so we went to CPK at third street San Francisco. We ordered the deal lunch - pizza and salad and fountain beverage (unlimited refill) Meal was good and filling We also ordered fried mac and cheese Our bill is about $37. The manager noticed I was wearing Red Sox shirt and for that reason we had free dessert of our choice. Lucky duck. Service was great waiter was very polite and very generous with refills. Definitely one of the best pizza place in SF.

We were so hungry that we didn't take pictures of the food. The food is very tasty, sufficient in quantity and at a good price. Excellent tomato soup, as well as lemonade. Before the order arrived, the kids received a coloring sheet and mini pencils to draw. Clean, comfortable and the staff very friendly.

With several places closed for Easter we chose CPK for our dinner location. Never visited before but overall a no-frills dinner experience with above average salad choices. The service was fine although the main meals took a while to be served. We were very happy with our salads - Quinoa & Arugula with Chicken and Thai peanut - although the servings were too large (even the small sizes). The BBQ chicken pizza did not have much to do with a European pizza but was tasty regardless. Was recommended an excellent full bodied red wine which I thoroughly enjoyed. The decor and interior of the place are not very inviting but the food was better than the place’s looks. Would like to try their cauliflower base pizza once!

Nice pizza, quickly and freshly made. Good choice of different toppings. The bases were a bit chewy.

Food was ok nothing to write home about, but our server was so rude and obnoxious, any time I asked for anything he spoke to the guy with me. When he did it once I thought fair enough easy mistake, but after the 5th time I had had enough. He also was roaring and kicking behind the bar, He seemed to be having problems with everyone that evening. All in all this place needs to get rid of this guy. If I spoke to customers the way he does I wouldn't still have a job. Really I wouldn't bother with this place.

Like it says in the title, after walking the streets of San Francisco on a Saturday afternoon and being put off by some of the more popular eateries with line-ups at the door, crowds of youths in disarray, and the loud music, California Pizza Kitchen was a welcome sight. I had the pepperoni & ham pizza and my wife has the mushroom and sausage pizza. They were both good choices. They were not the least bit greasy and the crusts were thin and crispy, not doughy and soggy. Our server was affable and chatty. The place was quiet enough that we could converse at a normal volume.

Popped in for a quick lunch at our old favorite. CPK is consistent and always delicious. My husband has been ordering the Thai Chicken pizza since the 1980’s. I am delighted to have the plant-based BBQ chicken option-do ask for the cauliflower pizza crust-it’s very good. Our server was enthusiastic and accommodating. Great lunch.

We've enjoyed eating at CPK for many years in many different locations..We like the food a lot. However the service here was subpar.. The waiter was not attentive and not all that friendly. We had to continuously ask for refills. After we finished our meal, we had to track him down to get our bill then he proceeded to talk to another server and laugh..so we tried getting his attention again to which he angrily replied he was getting it.. We will eat at CPK again but this location may need to re-train staff on attention to customers.

Took my almost 18-yr old for her first CPK experience and it didn’t disappoint! Super clean and no wait -6:30pm on a Monday. Service was good and the Sangria “Flight” was delectable!

Has that chain feel but spacious, service was fast, friendly atmosphere, and decent pizza. Was right over from our hotel so was very much chosen as an easy option but not disappointed.

I haven't been to a CPK for well over a decade & wow has it changed. Last time I was there they sold pizzas. Last night I had Garlic Chicken & Vegetables & my wife had Potato Soup. Both were excellent, hot & very tasty & served by an efficient & friendly waiter in a great atmosphere. We'll be back.

Just arrived at our hotel and CPK located across the street. Very good salads and pizza. Quick and friendly service! Would recommend

The restaurant was right across the street from our hotel, and open until 11 pm. We snuck in just before closing, and the staff was courteous. Still: The food is quite corporate. It is, after all, a chain.

We went here with a big group. I myself had the barbecue pizza, which I would definitely not recommend. The serving was fine, and others did enjoy their meal. Whether it is good value for money depends on what you order, but I myself would not go back.

A simple place, not too many people in the night, very friendly staff and fantastic pasta with shrimps for a very reasonable price.

We ate at CPK several times with a large wedding group staying across the street at the Park Central Hotel and were very pleased with the spaciousness of the restaurant, the quality of the food served, and the outstanding waitstaff.

Amazing pizza Came here as nearby where I was staying - late in evening and just arrived in San Francisco. The take out guy was polite and helpful. Super quick to take the order. Was very helpful in giving me a big back to put it in to (without me needing to ask) as I had to walk it back to the hotel. All I can say is this is without doubt one of the BEST pizzas I have ever eaten. How do they get their bases so perfect and tasty?!! Toppings were hot and perfect too. I have eaten at MANY pizzerias over the world. This was soooo good. Wow. Wish I was here for longer. Go here if you want perfect pizza. Enough said.

Was so happy to get a super thin pizza and it was delicious! They made a margarita with chipotle pepper paste which was a pleasant surprise. Very friendly staff and great service.

We called in here on a Sunday evening as we were staying at the Hyatt across the road. We had had a long flight so just needed some food and drinks. We were met by a lively server, ( I unfortunately can’t remember the name of the guy) he showed us to a table and took our orders. We opted for a couple of pizzas and the child in our group ate from the kids menu. The pizza was hot and tasty and the server was attentive and regularly asked us if we needed our drinks topping up. It’s a shame we didn’t get his name but what a guy to meet on our arrival in America. Good food and service nothing really to complain about.

First time eating here and it was okay. The pizza was the highlight. Our Caesar salad was good but had a ton of dressing on it which made it hard to eat. The drinks were good but need to warn people when getting a Moscow mule that it comes with a bunch of chunks of ginger which kind of surprise me. Would try it again.

Very bland service, very bland food. Had to keep asking for refill drinks. All in all an expensive and very average meal. Won't be back.

As in other reviews, we visited this restaurant as it was opposite our hotel. Enjoyed the pizzas and there were quite a few vegetarian options, too.

As expected at CPK, the food was consistently good. We were surprised how quiet the restaurant was, so close to Union Square yet on a Thursday night and a Saturday lunchtime it was very quiet. The staff were the nicest we have experienced at a CPK and seemed to genuinely care that we had a good meal. Well done!

As we were in the area - we went along for a speedy meal . Ordered 1 chicken, 1 salmon. After a long wait 2 chicken arrived. As my husband is vegetarian the very disinterested waitress said she would ‘hurry his order along’. My chicken ok, but on a bed of stone cold vegetables. After 30 minutes with no sign of replacement meal (and no contact from waitress) we paid and left. Would not recommend this restaurant

Been here about 5 times now but never wrote a review and I should. They serve good food, the service is fine and given that I've been back so often - they deserve a mention. No fine dining but definitely the best pizza I had in San Francisco

We have been to this place a couple of times for lunch. CPK is there in India as well and they serve some amazing pizzas. Over here, they live up to the reputation (or perhaps the other way round). Food: We've tried California Veggie and Shaved Mushroom Spinach lunch duo along with Grilled Veggie half sandwich and Super Spinach Quinoa salad. The food was good overall. Especially, we loved the super spinach quinoa salad. Great in taste and well balanced in terms of sweetness of apples and acidity of champagne vinaigrette. Pizza were good but not so great compared to what we had in India. Ambiance: It is quite a spacious place and adequate lighting. Being a chain, they tend to maintain similar arrangement everywhere. It is one of the places where you can go for fine dine. Service: Service was quite good and quick. The staff was well behaved. Nothing exceptional but they were good. Overall, it's a nice place to be.

Unlike the other restaurants in the area, for some reason, this one ends up not having long lines for lunch near the convention center. This is a standard California Pizza Kitchen, and has all of the dishes you would expect.

OK, I'm from NY. I'll admit I'm spoiled with NY pizza... Qjuite frankly, the worst locally owned pizzeria in NY is better than California Pizza Kitchen. This place is like a high end Dominos that doesn't know how to make pizza. That's not to say their food isn't good... it just isn't pizza. Went their twice. First time, I wanted to order the mushroom pizza. I asked if it had tomato sauce on it and he said no. I said I was from NY and that's what I expected. He said, don't worry, I'll take care of you, I'll order you a "so and so" pizza with mushrooms added... you'll love it." Pizza arrived and it had cheese and mushrooms, just like i expected, but it had slice tomatoes on it, not tomato sauce. You gotta be kidding me, and it cost me more to boot. Next night there i ordered a salad, which was very good. If you go, and you're expecting traditional pizza, you will be sorely disappointed. Yuck1

I had every intention of trying to get a seat at Michael Mina's RN74, which makes this review a bit strange. My hotel, The Westin Park Central, was just too damn close to CPK. I stopped in juuust to look at the menu, as if I didn't know eeexactly what I wanted. Bar-B-Que chicken salad and a Margherita pizza (they have gluten-free, folks) Something about eating comfort food in my Heavenly bed made me laugh at those folks eating at RN74...that's right. For some reason or another, this salad, take-out, was the best I've ever had at a CPK. It was heavy on everything else but the lettuce, which made me feel like I was getting away with something. Extra avacado and I was really living on the edge... This place is a block from SFMOMA so I recommend getting your museum on and doing the same thing I did at CPK. You know you want to. You just have to find someone to go with that will ADMIT they want it too...

Good meal for the value. San Francisco can be an expensive place to eat - CPK was not. Good and prompt service. Enjoyed the food.

I was disappointed in the service. Had to wait for server but food was good. Had a pizza and took leftovers to go. Excellent food quality. Price was fair for what you get.

A friend and I went in with loads of time at 5:30 on a Friday. It wasn't at all busy. The server came and went, had great manners, remembered everything, reminded us this would still happen but it just seemed slow. The chicken Cesar salad and salmon Cesar salads were both very tasty and my hard mixed drink was a good pour, but slow arriving.

Sat at the bar for a quick dinner. Restaurant was not full nor was bar. Bartender seemed very busy, but I am unsure what he was handling. It took almost 10 minutes to take my order. Pizza took a long time and was not hot. There were no food runners, and since the bartender wasn't focusing on food coming out, I believe it sat for a while. I requested an item be left off the Tostado pizza, and he confirmed that when I ordered, but it was on the pizza when it arrived. In addition, I ordered the higher priced Chardonnay and one I have had often. The wine was terrible. It tasted like a cheaper table wine. May be a management issue, may be other issues, but definitely not recommended.

This place is surprisingly good. A vast array of food. Nice salads. Veggie options. Good wine options and a really nice pizza.

Very affordable, Warm Friendly staff & very quick service. A break from all the sandwiches & burgers

The restaurant wasn't crowded when we were seated, but it took us 50 minutes from the time we ordered to receive our meal-- and all we had was one pizza and one salad! Our waitress explained that the "pizza oven got backed up". I guess- but you're a pizza kitchen, right? The food was just okay. Not worth the price or the long wait.

We visited this outlet which was just opposite our hotel. They serve lovely breads with olive oils with herbs, soups & fantastic sea food pasta & spagetti. We visited it thrice in our short stay. Quite expensive.

Too bad service was bad, cause the pizza was good. If you don't mind waiting 25 min to get your drinks and 50 min to get your food, then may be you can consider this restaurant. We had booked with OpenTable but they didn't care. Also, I asked my server 3 times for my beer, he never brought but he still charged it to my bill.

The restaurant from outside, can fool you for a dennys like. It is not, it has many healthy options, every portion is very well served, very well prepared and for a very good price. I was surprised in a good way. Loved it!! Also my attendant was Mitchi (not sure how to spell), and he is super nice, super friendly and welcoming. Fun, fast, and helpful!

It's all in the title. Would recommend. The only oddity was the Jambalaya was made with spaghetti, not rice. I found this odd but the waiter claimed it was how they do it here. Not sure if he was just fobbing me off or this is actually a common San Franciscan variant.

Had a pizza here once and ate it in the hotel and had a pizza once in the restaurant. It was across from our hotel and it felt a bit like Italian-American food. It tasted great to us and the price was also normal. Nice and friendly staff

This was across from our hotel back in July. Good place to stop and grab a bite. Consistency and always a good go to.

I was staying at the Park Central Hotel and right across the street was this place. It was very convenient for us to get a bite to eat and their reputation is great food and they delivered.

Enjoyable meal/ good pizza, but the time from ordering to delivery of the food was longer than expected and it took us a while to find the waiter to pay for the meal.

I found this place by a chance and at that time, it was full of people so I decided to give it a try. Very good pizza and I like avocado rolls. Service is really good.

Had a great dinner. Gluten free dining is really difficult if you have an allergy and this restaurant manages it really well. Separate allergy menu and options highlighted on the main menu. Had wedge salad starter.. refreshing and tasty. Had cheese pizza GF and it was the best we’d had!! Lots of healthy options on the menu too and calories shown on menu. Can recommend mushroom pasta and salmon on cedar plank . Seen reviews mentioning poor service. Well we were looked after perfectly by John during our evening. The service was fast friendly and efficient. Would recommend for family dining too. Thank you ! We’ll be back soon.

Located in the very centre, this pleasant restaurant offers affordable food and drinks in a nice and cosy atmosphere. I had pizza Margheritta, delicious, and a Bud Light for around 20 dollars, and that made a great lunch for me.

This is simple food nicely done. If you want a relaxed meal and share good company you cant really go wrong here There's a good variety of food and the waiters are helpful with a sense of humour. Give it a go - it's a Pizza Kitchen - you wont be disappointed

I stayed in the Park Central hotel opposite and decided to try this hotel as I didn't want to walk too far. The food was OK, nothing special. Go here if you are desperate and too tired to walk far.

We visited the restaurant which was located close to our hotel. The service was excellent from the time we arrived. Quick service and food quick to arrive, which was good with hungry children! The food was very well prepared and presented and we all really enjoyed it. When my wife was unsure what drink she wanted the server brought a tester to check it was ok for her; little extras that make a difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to revisit and it’s definitely worth going if you get chance.

The food was really good. We ordered pizza and 2 different kind of padta and we really enjoyed it. The service was nice. We didnt have to wait long for the food which was great. The prices are reasonable

The restaurant is centrally located and easily accessible. The service was great and the food was amazing as well. The staff is very efficient and approachable. You leave feeling content with the quality of the place for the money you've paid. Try the tortilla spring rolls for appetisers, they're really good :)

We had a gift card for this restaurant so we decided to spend our evening in SF. I would suggest taking public transportation because driving and parking would/is a nightmare and expensive. Besides that the restaurant is located in Union Square and it had plenty of seating room. We were seated at our table and the waitress was friendly and courteous; Checking on us often to see if we needed anything else or satisfied with our meal. We had three pizzas and one shrimp scampi. All four cooked to perfection. The only issue that we had was that the Margherita pizza, did not have enough condiments!! For a Margherita pizza you need lots of fresh basil, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and extra virgin olive oil. It did not have any tomatoes, it had very little cheese and maybe 22 strands of fresh basil!!! Kid you not!!! We all had cocktails and they were done to perfection!!! Ended up ordering second rounds. The prices were reasonable.

After a visit to SFMOMA, this seemed like a great choice, and it was. The Veggie pizza and Veggie soup was delicious. The waiter person was curious and very fast. The place was very clean and all plus a free WiFi

If you want a large salad with protein, a good choice. After eating heavy meals was nice to get a big salad with dressing on the side!

Great pizza's in a somewhat dated setting. Quick friendly service and conveniently located. We really enjoyed our dinner here!

Typical California Pizza Kitchen. We visited in the afternoon so the placed was not crowded at all. The pizza was good as always and had plenty of toppings. The service was ok. The waiter was not super attentive. Was a ok experience.

Stopped in for a quick late lunch upon arrival and on our way to our condo. We can always trust CPK to be reliable, quick and good food and this location did not disappoint. From the bread to snack on pre-meal to the great pizza, thumbs up all around. Our favorite is the Sicilian!

Went here for a quick bite night before we left SF. We are both sensitive to gluten so they produced a special menu which was fairly limited. The pizzas were over done, service was CRAP! I had to keep begging for a cola refill which is last thing you need when you are chewing on a salty pizza, which is what they were. We have a CPK in Orlando which I've never tried and after this won't be.

This is located just a few blocks down from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and next to the Hearst Parking Garage! So instead of eating at the expensive museum cafe, we walked back to here for lunch, before returning to finish off the remaining floors in the museum! We (family of four) split a pizza, spaghetti, Asian chicken salad, drinks, & dessert, all under $95.00. I might add that the food serving sizes are much better here than what you would find at the museum. (Just a note for budget minded people.)

Visited here for dinner recently. The service got off to a bad start and went downhill as the meal continued. Our drinks order took such a long time to arrive, our starters arrived and were finished before the drinks arrived. To remedy this the staff member did offer us complementary soft drinks which were delivered very quickly. My friend is vegetarian and received a pizza with bacon. After one of the waiters argued twice with my friend that it was not the wrong pizza the manager apologised and arranged for the correct pizza to be provided. No cutlery was provided and we had to request that too. Our original drinks order then arrived with the main courses. Desert was very good too and huge! The food here is of a very good quality. While the service wasn't great the remedial actions by the manager were very good and we really appreciated the number of items he removed from the bill as a way of service recovery. We didn't ask for any items to be provided free however this was a great gesture from the manager in acknowledgement for the shortfalls in service and restored our faith in the restaurant, We use CPK around the world on our travels due to their good food and were put off from using them again by some of the service aspects we encountered in San Fran, however solely due to the manager's recovery gestures we will continue to use the chain on our travels in future.

Nice restaurant, great pizza selection, friendly staff. Food is really tasty, no fastfood. Stylish interior.

I paid $28.50 just for having a garlic pizza with glass of blue moon beer. The lousy waitress served the drink with a slice of orange on the side. The pizza was void of garlic, dry and chicken pieces were scanty, hard to find on the thin pizza crust with heavy puffed up round. Not worth it!

You really can't go wrong with CPK for a meal. PS. The BBQ chicken salad is the original menu item and still *killllls* to this day. mmm. So Delicious. The bartender and wait staff were all very nice, greeting me on the way in and out, cordially and meaningfully. Thanks! This place is right in Downtown SF with lots of seating and a few outdoor seats. I went at 4PM weekday and there were only a few people there.

Best pizza I've ever had My rating 10 + a lot and I would like to meet her 415-726-0047 I live on 740 Broadway come visit call me

A solid choice, if you look for a good pizza. We had tortilla spring rolls and sesame dumplings as starters, which were nice. The pear Gorgonzola pizza was my favourite.

Ordered two pizzas. They spend nearly 45 minutes making the pizzas, and the waiter had to come and excuse the slow pace. He blamed that the chef was new. When the pizzas arrived, one of the pizzas was the wrong pizza the other was missing one of the additions we did. At this point we did not want to wait any longer, so we did not complain. Pizzas were ok, and the price there are as you would expect. Will probably try to find another place for pizza next time.

I last visited California Pizza Kitchen some four or five years ago. Little seems to have changed. For diners who enjoy eating the same consistently good dishes each time, CPK is a good choice. Personally, I would prefer more new items on the menu.

Had a great lunch here with pizza and a side of salad and what turned out to be a massive iced tea (totally unexpected on the drink side). Was an absolute treat for the price and I'll be heading there again for more pizza.

Food: the BBQ chicken pizza is why I visited. It was delicious as usual. Their crust is wonderful. Server: Our drinks were not refilled until after we finished eating. The server even asked did we want a refill. He seemed bothered by us, not friendly at all. You don't have to be friendly if you are at least providing great customer service.

Since we were in the neighborhood, we stopped by for a quick lunch. We each selected our lunches from the weekday lunch special. I had the roasted squash soup. It didn't have a very unique or interseting flavor but contained a decent amount of vegetables. I had the veggie pizza and it was mediocre. Although no more than 4 tables were occupied, our waitress rushed us. She insisted she wasn't rushing us out but kept on glancing nervously at our table every 45 seconds or so. It's fine for a quick bite. The restaurant was well lit, cheery and comfortable.

It's been 11 years since my last visit to California and I really wanted to taste once again the fine food from CPK. Tonight we had a nice dinner sharing a salad and a pizza, very good food at a reasonable price in a nice atmosphere. I'll miss CPK!!!

I have been here some years ago, but it has gone downhill; such a long wait. My hummus took 20 minutes to arrive - and I've had it in 3-4 min. last time I was here. I asked the waiter and he told me the kitchen was busy. Busy with what? The place was 1/4 full. "They are busy with all the takeout orders" he told me. What? So, basically whoever is seated get low priority... Hello? The food is good, but avoid the wait and do takeout. All the folks I was sitting next to had to wait forever too, the priorities are just wrong. Too bad since the food is good, and fairly priced. I felt sorry for the families entering the restaurant when I was there; if only they knew what a wait they were getting themselves into ...

This was my third visit to a CPK. First in Monterey and the last two at this location. My experience this been fairy mixed. For example they serve you some bread and herbed oils after you order and before your starter or main course arrives. Well that appears to be the theory. In Monterey we received the bread about 30 seconds before the the starter arrived. On our first visit in SF it arrived in good time to eat it before the starter arrived. Today nothing. The main course arrived - the bread never seen. On our first two visits we chose pizza and they were very good on this last visit we chose the rib eye steak to be cooked rare. What we got was something that was cooked medium at best. In addition the blue cheese infused garlic butter had virtually no taste of blue cheese. Very disappointing. So if you are looking for a good tasting pizza then this restaraunt is a good choice. If it is a good steak you want then I would suggest you look elsewhere.

I came in and asked specifically for a Merlot, Coppola, nine oz while I decided on my food order. The waitress said, was that a Cabernet from Santa Rosa? I repeated my order and she said she had not read the menu so didn’t recognize what I ordered. I have been served by this person three different times in the last few months, so I know she is not new. I had already had a difficult day and I did not see that there was a problem with me knowing what I wanted as I asked twice. I am sure she was trying to be friendly, but she came to my table so often to see if I was “all right” that I was completely annoyed when I left. I had already told her I did not want to discuss my day as she asked if I had had a bad one.

Pizza was good and service was great. Only ordered take-out but proximity to my hotel was a major factor in selection.

Its a very good joint wherein they serve excellent delicacies. The soups & pizzas were amazing. The service is excellent.

Was convenience in front of the hotel, I have white 4 cheese pizza, the strawberry margarita its great.

Our server knew the menu, and advised us well, including about allergies. I've eaten here on previous trips to SF as well, and liked it then, too.

I did a dinner with just a California Cobb salad and a little bread. I ordered their 'ultimate bloody Mary' and I was underwhelmed, it was just OK. The bread came with some oil and spice for dipping, very good. The half California Cobb was enough for meal without overeating, it was OK.

This CPK has friendly servers and the food was as expected, tasty and well prepared. There is something for everyone including those who are gluten free!

We had a lovely lunch at CPK. The server got our order wrong and took it off the bill. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The decor was mediocre. It is opposite the Hyatt Regency on 3rd Street.

We went for dinner here as it was located just opposite our hotel. Service was friendly but pizza wasn't that grea

Full bar and much more of a varied menu that I expected. Our waiter, John, was absolutely AWESOME! Lively atmosphere, and was within walking distance of our hotel.

We have been enjoying the pizza and hospitality of CPK for over 30 years and have been to more than 49 different locations. They are consistent and use only the freshest ingredients. Today’s visit was no different. My husband is a Thai Chicken Pizza fan-the thin crust is crispy and the sauce perfectly spiced. I love the lightly dressed chopped salad. The wine list is okay and the beers featured local brew on tap. They do have a non-alcoholic option. A new product is the Take and Bake-currently priced at just $5 it’s a real bargain for a chance to take CPK home! Be sure to download the app and join the club-the points add up fast.

I would avoid this restaurant. Server was not very friendly. Certainly not service with a smile. Pasta with sauce tasted like something you serve from a shop-bought sachet by adding boiling water to it. I suspect it was pre-cooked pasta. It tasted very odd. How hard can it be to cook pasta in an Italian chain restaurant? The Keylime pie was the best part of the meal. Definitely below average restaurant. I would never go back,

Service was good, I had dumplings to start (that were OK) and a spicyish pizza for a main. The pizza was great but I had to send it back to heat it up a bit.

Average restaurant. For Welcoming it will depend on who you come across, some waiters are nice and pro, others make the head ... Level food the dishes are rather plentiful but not very qualitative On the price side it is rather cheap (especially compared to the price in San Francisco) and consistent with the quality of the food served.

I can't imagine better pizza for the price. We had smoking good pizza. It was absolutely delicious A little hole in the wall place without pretentiousness. I actually tried the wine, it was satisfying and the pizza was near perfect. Crispy crust, loaded with toppings. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend, especially if you are staying near fisherman's wharf.

Came in without checking the reviews ,the food was okay but felt overpriced and the staff where not what we have come to expect in San Francisco.Came away disappointed and won't be returning .

The pizza was nice enough but took ages to arrive. Fine for a casual bite - not much ambience etc but to be expected I guess.

Was hungry after not being able for the entire day. I came in very late and asked for a pizza to go. Everything was just fine. Super friendly service.

My three daughters and I ate here on one of our first nights in San Francisco. We were not disappointed! The pizza was delicious! The service was wonderful, the prices were reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. We all took to-go boxes!

The Spinach Artichoke dip stands out was awesome. The vegetarian pizza we had was good as well. Overall value for money.

food was good quality but over priced for the value. Restaurant was a little dirty (dusty) and just seemed a little sloppy in appearance and service for this chain. We ate here after landing in SF and walking around all day as many places in the area are closed on Sunday (business area).

Nice layout -TVs, music etc. Good service. I ordered the standard paperony which was good. Nice atmosphere.

After a long round in San Francisco, I was a bit confused to choose between a pizza place or a grill. After 2 minutes I made up my mind and decided to go for pizza, I ordered California Veggie pizza, it was tasty and yet light. I also ordered grilled shrimp Caesar salad. The place is cozy and the staff are very friendly and professional.

Restaurant was located right across from our restaurant so made a convenient place to eat. Decor was modern, service was good and the pizza was excellent. My wife and I also shared one of their deserts, which was so tasty, but so big

My family and I had 3 meals there, the location is very convenient and we were in a hotel just in front of it. The pizza is delicious (thin dough) and there are many other options in the menu. Convenient location, fair price, great staff, varied menu, good options on the kids menu as well.

Great food and awesome service! I had the bar-b-que chicken pizza with pineapples. It was sooooo good.

I surprisingly visited this place THREE times during my stay. There is variety and they do it well. Our waiter was excellent each time and suggested the butter cake for dessert. I had to keep coming back for more! The only bad experience was a tweaker in the bathroom who left blood all over the place and I had to go get a manager. The manager attended to it RIGHT away though

Stop by for a late lunch, and can always count on California Pizza Kitchen, food quality is always good. Had the works pizza, couple of Coke's, and the food was great as always.

The pizza was average. Thick crust that you had to gnaw through. The salad was a bag tossed on to a plate. Service was fine but there are better pizza places than this

Pizza was very delicious. I should've asked about the size. Its more like a personal sized pizza. Was sharing between 3 people and it wasn't quite enough. Recommend ordering a salad or starter in addition to pizza. Fast service and great servers.

My friend and I shared two pizzas here, both of them were really good sized and good value for money, not to mention delicious! Our server Mitch was really good and recommended some good cocktails! Would eat here again if we were ever in the area again.

Great pizza. Never wet or excessively oily. Tossed salad with tossed in blue cheese dressing is the best. Service at this CPK was top of the line.

Nothing to excel but nothing to be bad. It is just your regular day to day American food joint at every corner. The arugula and asparagus salad was good though...

Solo diner after I arrived late to SF. I ordered and enjoyed Zuchini Scampi entree, so yummy and light! Service was good. The restaurant is convenient to Park Central Hotel on 3rd. I returned one day for a quick lunch, split pea soup was amazing!

We enjoyed this place enough to go back. They had wonderful dinner salads--crisp, fresh greens, excellent dressings. At lunch we tried a pizza--good as well, though the salads were the star for us.

The food was delicious and the service of the staff was excellent. Our waiter was on top of his game and even other waiters who were passing our table would inquire if we needed anything if we were looking in their direction. The staff worked as a team and made the eating experience outstanding. Their recommendations for food was very good. Keep up the excellent work and kudos to the chef.

Average not so cosy restaurant. The menu was ok and also friendly staff. The pizzas were not so great. Overall an average experience.

When I visit San Francisco, a visit to California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) is always on the list. Friendly people, and they have some good pizzas: not too big, too much...just good and a delicious taste. They have a nice open kitchen, and the restaurant is quite spacious.

We visited the restaurant for lunch and dinner during our stay. The menu is extensive and caters well for children. There are also good healthier options, the Santa Fe Super Bowl salad was particularly good.

This is another CPK. Same menu as other CPK's of course. Service is very good. Food is prepared well and within normal time frames. One advantage of this CPK location is it's not very crowded, which means you can get a table without waiting.

Famous for individual size pizza, the original is the barbecue chicken pizza and all the pizzas are great, th pasta is excellent and so are the soups and salads..

I ate here with my family and the food was excellent, the service was outstanding and the price was very reasonable for San Francisco area, definitely recommended.

Part of heading to have a meal at a chain is to know what to expect... This is no different... This chain always delivers a great verity of pizzas including make your own We love it

This was right across from our hotel so it was an easy choice for our first night in San Fran. It was not busy at all, whereas many places around it was. My husband and I ordered the Hawaiian pizza and the tequila pasta. The pizza was very thin yet hard to cut with a knife and fork. The toppings were mediocre (Pineapple was flavourful but sauce, cheese and ham were almost non existent). The pasta flavour was overwhelming with lime so all the ingredients tasted the same (even the chicken). The service and the price were decent. Overall the experience was fine.

Kudos to Daniel and Niko at CPK for great service! We stopped in for a Barbecue Chicken Pizza, Caesar Salad, and King Pao Shrimp Spaghetti. Everything was good, but the Key Lime Pie was to die for.

After a few days of just burgers we found this restaurant right in front of our hotel and decided to try the pizza. Overall, the pizza was sufficient and the service was fast and professional.

Food was fine, but there was not even a single vriendly smile from the waiters. Rude and very grumpy! Never again.

We came across CPK in San Francisco by chance when wandering around the neighbourhood near our hotel one afternoon (we were looking for something familiar and easy) We dined twice for lunch and were very happy on both occasions. The food was great and we were really pleased with the attentive service – would recommend based on our experience.

This was my second visit to the KPC and experience was as great as the first one. Unlike other restaurants in the area the place is quite and clean. It sounds as if it just sells Pizzas; but you will be surprised at the variety of foods they serve, salads, Soups, Pasta all looked good and portion is also decent and top it all the prices are reasonable for the area like downtown SFO. I really liked Pesto Cream Penne. Bon Appetite.

Last night in San Francisco before we travel north, decided to try California pizza as read good reviews on trip advisor, we would like to add to the excellent reviews. We were one very happy family, great service with tasty food.

If you get a chance, try the Jamaican jerk chicken pizza, it is awesome. With the Sangria flight and key lime pie, you will have a great meal. Enjoy!

I visit CPK frequently. Service and quality is what I have come to expect. All the standard dishes are great.

Really good pizza. Single person style like in Itay. The waiter was nice...but a bit wooden. But the food was really good and the place clean and fun.

My daughter wanted to eat there. The place was very crowdy and loud. The waiter was friendly and funny. Food was quite ok but average.

During the late evening I have noticed this restaurant accross the street. I have never tried American pizza. It was very tasty and smelt super amazing. I have even asked to take out half of the pizza as well. The place looks old but comfortable and nice.

We walked here from our hotel for dinner and this location did not disappoint. They weren't very busy and our server was extremely attentive. Our food came out right away, only thing is that this location is not surprisingly more expensive than some others.

We were staying at the Park Central hotel and this was across the road so nice and handy. Big restaurant with booth seating and a pizza oven. Server was pleasant but a little over the top. We ordered some starters that were tasty and a good size. We also shared a meat lovers type pizza that was tasty as well. Red wine pour was generous. Wine was OK. Bill at the end was a little on the high side for this standard of restaurant. If you want a middle of the road restaurant serving pizza and some standard American fare then this place is good.

we went twice. We had Margherita pizzas and Mojitos. Great value and top quality for both food and drink. Its a 5 minute walk from Union Sq. Very friendly staff, plenty of seats. Highly recomended

Very relaxing lunch here after a morning at SFMOMA (1 block away). We each had different salads - both were excellent. Portion sizes were large. Restaurant was very quiet; great place for conversations & privacy.

Was staying across the street for 4 days so are here twice. First day I ordered take out. They must do a lot of take out business as they have a special desk set up just for carry out. I ordered the mushroom meat pizza. Was very good. Large enough for two people or one very hungry person. The second night I decided to dine in at the bar. Since I am traveling for business by myself I usually eat at the bar (I look less pathetic that way). And since I am on a perdium I live in happy hour specials. Was disappointed to learn they didn't have any happy hour. I had the four cheese ravioli with mushrooms. Was good.

Our server Racquel went out of her way to make sure we got just what we wanted for a very late lunch — resulting in what my Mum (who is incredibly fussy) suggested was the best salad she’s had since arriving in the USA. I am a long-time CPK fan but this was Mum’s first visit, and she’s genuinely not a fan of contemporary cuisine — I’m glad cpk proved her wrong. Mum had a very refreshing cucumber and gin based cocktail, which we paired with a Sonoma chicken flatbread and our own customised version of the traditional BBQ chicken chopped salad. Both were excellent and more than sufficient for the two of us (we actually took leftovers back for the rest of our group). CPK excels at hot, fresh, tasty food in interesting combinations and superb service. I hope we get the chance to visit again soon.

It’s a nice place, it prepares a delicious pizza with a lot of variety of options, great hamburgers and waiters and waitresses are really kind. The price is good.

I had WILD MUSHROOM STROZZAPRETI oh was it delicious!! the pasta was cooked just right and mushrooms were bursting with flavor. CARNE ASADA PIZZA another good dish.

The pizza lived up to my expectation but the service did not!!!!! Granted, I came and ordered my meal 20 minutes before closing, but that was no excuse for the poor service. We went all but ignored while we were there. If they were unwilling to show me the high level of customer service I have grown accustomed to, I would have preferred they just not have served us that evening versus the poor service we received. VERY poor service but I was still kind enough to leave a tip, even though the service wasn't deserving!!!!

We visited California Pizza Kitchen at SFO. My lunch at CPK was good, but a little more variety in the menu, specifically in bread choice for sandwiches, would be helpful. Still my chicken/avocado sandwich with a leafy side salad was tasty and filling, and the server was friendly and fast.

Dined here during our recent trip to San Francisco, and thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ chicken pizza - one of the best I've tasted - felt bad I couldn't finish it as the portion was simply huge! Excellent service as well, waiter was constantly filling up our soft drinks, asking all about our trip to SF and giving us advice about the local area. Would return!

Very nice restaurant in downtown San Francisco. Food was very good and reasonably priced for SF. Our server Karen was very attentive and helpful.

CPK does have really good food. Lots of variety. Great pizzas, no question. A lot of healthy options as well.

Pizza was delicious!!! Service is quick, the staffs are friendly and professional, atmosvera is pleasant, prices are affordable, If you love good Pizza this is the right place for you!

CPK has something for everyone. There is a good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, and a long list of pizzas, pastas, and salads. It's a chain, so don't have any high expectations, but there is always plenty of available seating and service is really fast.

My husband and I visited here and we're not happy with the pizza so called the waiter over! He took the pizza away and three people started analyzing it ! The chef then came over and picked it apart in front of us being confrontational! Yet at the end wanted to know if we wanted something else lol We said thank you but no ! Server gave us the bill and the pizza we returned was on it! We paid it to the penny and left ! Staff was very confrontational and this was handled poorly from a business perspective !

I went to this location because I was staying across the street at the Park Central Hotel. Everyone was pleasant and demonstrating safety procedures due to COVID 19. I would definitely visit this location again.

We ate here late afternoon and it was not busy at all. The pizza was very, very good and the service was great!!! They had salads, sandwiches, and pasta as well. It all looked good!! We would definitely eat there again!!

Directly opposite park central hotel. Arrived at 9pm after checking we went for supper. Most convenient cheap place to eat.maunly a pizza place. Pizza good variety and tasted good. Restaurant serves alcohol as well.

To start I'm giving it a 3/5. Food was fine, the server was fine, drinks terrible and the hostess, I assume she'd had a loooong day, or really hates her job. We were not too hungry so decided to have a shared starter and main. When it arrived we had to find our own side plates and ask for cutlery and napkins, same with the main meals. We also ordered mojitos which came unmuddled, sugar less and basically undrinkable (think fizzy water with fresh mint leaves) Our server was lovely and I wouldn't want to complain as he was doing his job admirably. All In all very average and not what id expect from my American experience thus far.

Do yourself a favor and order the Rib Eye at a California Kitchen. The steak I had this evening was absolutely outstanding. Service was great. Value good.

On our 3 week trip troughout California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona we had the best meal here! Great value for money.

My husband and I dine out quite often and the majority of the time the servers do an adequate job. Nikki has an infectious smile, great personality, and was always on top of things. Yes, our pizza and Caesar salad was good but Nikko made our dining experience great. I would highly recommend asking to be in his section. He is a rarity in the server profession!!!!

I am usually a fan of CPK but for some reason their take out pizza isn't very good here at this location. I'll stick to dine-in from now on after two bad take-out trips here.

We ordered a bbq classic pizza which came out a little bit burned on the crust, so they made us another pizza without us even saying anything about it! Such amazing service :) the pizza is super good and the crust is really crispy. The strawberry lemonade is delicious!!!

We went here one evening to take out some pizza and we really liked it. The wait was short, the pizza tasted very good. The restaurant is quite big, lots of seats available, but I understand it can be pretty crowded. We had to experience this on July 4th, when we went there a second time, this time to sit down and enjoy eating at their place. The wait for a table was supposed to be 15 minutes, and indeed after that amount of time we were seated at one of their tables. When the waitress came, big surprise: due to some problems, preparation of any food would take at least an hour or so. She wanted to let us know right at the beginning, so we could choose to leave. Since we had our 11 months old daughter with us we were very thankful for this honest information. We decided to leave, so we were unable to try their food, this particular behavior of the staff however was well worth to be mentioned as we really appreciated her honesty.
Good food, sloooooow service
Having lunch at this restaurant during conference lunch break was not a good idea. It took a good 20 minutes before a very friendly waiter came to tell us he wouldn’t tend to us for a while. Then it took another sweet bit of time to get 3 pizzas and a bunch of drinks.
