Food was excellent! Waitress was extremely nice and attentive. Was not happy about the tv installation that was going on during dinner. As a Cuban I normally don’t go out for Latin food. Since it was a special occasion I made an exception and was impressed. Vaca frita; shrimp; fish were excellent. Family style rice and beans. Dessert rice pudding; tres leches and home made ice cream. And the fresh pork grinds! One that I will go back to.

Miami spice lunch

By Gris0505 |

We went for a late lunch to this hotel? Getting in through the entrance wasn’t easy. After we were there, finally the valet man just Stares at you. We got out of the car and we waved To come over. He gets there and says, “Do you need valet?”....... No, we just called you to ask about the weather. Lol. I didn’t say that, just thought of It. We go inside the supposedly lobby area, leaves a lot to be desired. Behind the small desks were 2 ladies, which told us the restaurant was on the 2nd Level. The restaurant was cozy and had a real nice Decor. The food was very good, you can taste the Spanish flavors. We were actually the only ones having lunch, I guess cause of how late it was. Service was good, the waiter was very helpful and Knowledgeable of the menu. The view is very nice. To my opinion, this restaurant belongs in a different Hotel. Would I go again, not sure, probably not. 🤔

Amazing Dinner not happy about the fire alarm going off

By Carlos A |

My friend and I visited Caña last night. What an amazing restaurant probably the best Cuban food I have ever had in my life. We ordered the ceviche which has a wonderful combination of flavors and fresh fish. The octopus was perfectly cocked and tasted just fantastic. The chicken had so much flavor, it was tender and juicy I couldn’t believe that chicken breast could ever taste that good. Amazing cocktails, these guys at Caña are into true mixology, smoked rum old fashioned WOW!!!!! Service was excellent, they definitely know what the definition of hospitality is. Thumbs up to the bartender Jhonatan he puts on a great show making these wonderful cocktails. Manager Juan Galvis made us feel very comfortable, guided us trough out the menu and made excellent recommendations, Juan was constantly checking on us and made the dining experience just perfect. The reason why I don’t give this review 5 stars is because at the end of our dinner the fire alarm went of and it was very unpleasant to be there with all this noice, we couldn’t even have dessert because it became impossible to deal with this alarm. I will definitely be back, but I’ll wait until they sort out their issues with electricity and alarms going off. Thank you Hyatt and Caña Restaurant, you will do great at this new location!!!

Convenient but not the best...

By WhatBucketList |

If you are staying at the Centric, this restaurant is great for the convenience. They do need to step up their food game a little. Food - 3 This Cuban restaurant has the basic Cuban fare and nothing special to it. The flavors are on the authentic side but no flair to it. The food found here can be found in any Cuban cafe at half the price. Service - 3 May have to give it to the fact they are still new, the service is on the slow side. Maybe they are trying to give the total Latin feel by making service to match the relaxed feel. Atmosphere - 4 For a hotel restaurant the decor is not bad. Modern wood look with a touch of Latin flair. There is also a small cigar room. Will only come back if I stay at the Hyatt Centric and have no time to go anywhere else. Would not make a special trip here.

Tasty Food, Great House Wine

By MannyG2000 |

It’s too bad this restaurant is hidden inside the Hyatt Centric. I had their Miami Spice (a summer offering in which participating restaurants have a specially-priced multi-course menu) and found the components excellent, except for the dessert. Staff were amiable. The house wine, Canvas, is superb.

Great time at Brunch

By Emily Ann |

To start, this restaurant is located in the beautiful Hyatt Centric Brickell on the 2nd floor. For my first time I was extremely impressed. It is a great spot for brunch with the girls, overlooking the beautiful Brickell area. Has indoor and outdoor seating. As soon as we walked out of the elevator we were greeted by the biggest welcome and smile of whom we later found out was the restaurant manager, Gonzalo. He and his great staff truly made our first time here worth the try and definitely will have us coming back. The food was perfectly made and taste amazing. The food was so good and atmosphere so welcoming we stayed for about 2 hours just soaking in the laughter, the views, the drinks and taking our time to eat the delicious food. Overall, what really captured us was the great service and attention from Gonzalo and his team.

SoulEdge: Heart and Soul

Arrived during the week, front desk personnel were cool with letting me take pics of the lobby. Love the painting’s & lights on the ceiling. Felipe at Cana, helped me out with my order of Burger w/fries and Chocolate Mousse. Kudos to the staff, and awesome Terrazzo white tile table design too. This visit is dedicated to my then ex German American gf. Whom made a positive impact in my life. Cue songs that we danced together : Madonna - Don't Tell Me (Official Video) [HD], Faith Hill - "Breathe" & Seal - “Kiss from a Rose” 🇺🇸🇩🇪🎸✌️

The best Cuban Restaurant!!!!!

By Ricardo M |

Finally a restaurant with authentic Cuban food with quality ingredients, great value and good atmosphere. In Miami you really Get the cantinas such as La Carreta who compromise on quality ingredients and atmosphere for low prices or you have the high end Cuban restaurants that does not really serve authentic food. Cana hit the mark serving authentic Cuban food with quality ingredients in a nice environment. Bravo!

Amazing! Will revisit every tome when visiting Miami!

By Chasidy |

George was amazing! He took care of my kids husband and I with great professionalism my kids are super picky he even went above and beyond by offering them ice cream and m&m’s if they ate all of their food! Jp our server was quick professional and super nice answered every single question we had. We had an amazing experience and will revisit every single time we go back. Breakfast lunch and dinner all amazing and we had never even had Cuban food the chicken was so tender the eggs Benedict my husbands favorite was the best he had ever had. Can’t wait to go back!

Hip late night dinner

By Max P |

We got into Miami late and needed a place for dinner. We found Cana inside the Hyatt hotel. I was a little skeptical, but the place met my expectations. The cocktails were excellent, service great, and music thumping on a Saturday night. Dining is family style and the waiter did a good job explaining the menu and the best way to order. We ordered 2 entrees and 2 apps for 5 and all walked away full after dessert. Not traditional Cuban, but solid Latin fusion edging towards traditional. Don’t let the location be a turnoff. It didn’t feel like a hotel restaurant to us.

Churrasco steak is the way to go

By rossdmd |

One night at the hotel, so we used their restaurant. The Churrasco steak was very good. Rice and beans may be standard fair, but seem pretty generic. The piano player while good, was distractingly loud. Really took away instead of adding to the ambiance. Service was good and drinks were good. It's a hotel, so don't expect bargain drink prices.

Wonderful spot!

By triton60 |

Excellent! Wanted to order Lechon Asado but the waitress suggested Piernita de Cerdo Asada. OMG it was a huge bone in pork shank that fell off the bone. It was seared on the outside to create a crunchy crust with sea salt. We had maduros (sweet bananas) in addition to the rice and black beans that came with the pork. We are starting a 2 week vacation and this meal is going to be hard to beat.

Delicious and friendly

By Lostana |

We only arrived a few minutes before they closed kitchen. So they herpes us a lot to identify the right dishes. We ate baked fish, pulled beef and park. All very delicious. Super firendly water, thanks a lot

Great service and food!

By Majesticzelle |

The Cana Restaurant service team was helpful, friendly and the food was great! We are a gluten free and soy free food family. We had no problems eating at Cana Restaurant and Lounge. The staff was very attentive and took care of our needs with a smile. The view from the restaurant was beautiful and relaxing. We watched the sun come up over the water while eating breakfast. We had a fantastic experience!

Best Cuban food

By rhubarb1941 |

Cana Restaurant is located in the Hyatt Centric in downtown Miami. Since we were staying at the Hyatt Centric, we decided the eat at the Cana Restaurant because we had never eaten Cuban food before. I ate something with pork in it, but don't remember the Cuban name for it. The black bean side dish was to die for! Don't look any further for a good restaurant to eat at in Miami. It's right here in the Hyatt Centric.

I have visited this restaurant a few times and its food is amazing . They mix original Cuban food flavors with enhanced components that makes you want to try all items in the menu. Service is outstanding . The restaurant has a great location and atmosphere , located inside the Hyatt hotel in brickell , second floor . Nicely decorated , beautiful murals . Nice view from balcony .

excellent Cuban food

By ladyfish574 |

After having a disaster Cuban sandwich at a high end hotel restaurant we continued our hunt in MIami of all places for good cuban food. Well we sure were not disappointed. The service was outstanding. Our waitress did not even have to write down our orders--four of us. From mixed drinks to appetizers and entree's it was a pleasure. Definitely make this restaurant a stop if you are in MIami.

Great Cuban restaurant

A very pleasant surprise, maybe the best hotel restaurant I have ever encountered. Great Cuban dishes, friendly personnel highly recommended.

Cuban Cuisine at its best

By DW F&B |

We were lucky enough to eat here several times during our stay. The Chef at this restaurant is very talented and his passion for great food is evident. Everything was amazing. Great flavors and beautifully presented plates and cocktails. Staff was outstanding. Susmary, Juan, Jorge and Olivia were so attentive and non intrusive it was fantastic. We had great service and never had to ask for anything. They were there to deliver.

Off the beaten path to goodness

By Ynlvr |

When in Miami, you must have at least one Cuban meal. This "hotel restaurant" was a delight. The Cuban rice and beans were the star of the meal! The service was amazing. My dining companion said the chicken which was the "best chicken ever" in her opinion. The portions are huge, thus I'd recommend sharing an entree as we did after individual appetizers. My amazing "entree" was the sides of rice and black beans!!! The service is what made this experience most memorable. I felt as if we were the only guests in a 75% full restaurant.

Our first time eating at a Cuban Restaurant but DEFINITELY not the last!

By Juli K |

The Cuban Restaurant, the Cana, Is located inside the Hyatt Centric Brickell Hotel & everything my husband & I had to eat was delicious. There is inside & outside seating & we chose to eat outside. The service was excellent. Dinner was so exquisite we went back for breakfast the next morning & the food & service was just as good as the night before & their Cuban bread was delicious!

Staff issues

By Lolly’s Look |

We stayed at The Hyatt Centric Brickell Miami and e a light breakfast to carry back to our room. The amount it time it took to make 2 pieces of toast and tea were unreal. Then when transporting the order to our room the top of the tea came off and spilled. That was bad service and not a great outcome.

Excellent service

By brian c |

Happened by the Hyatt Centric Brickell totally by accident, but it turned into a great night. Our flight was cancelled due mechanical problems and the airline put us up at the Hyatt Centric. From check in the people were amazing, they knew we coming got us rooms right away. Very nice hotel with excellent staff. The best part of the hotel though was a particular server who worked in the Cana Restaurant, her name was Ubii. She was the best, she made our stay at the hotel memorable.

Amazing food and service

By Mksmile |

It’s on the second floor of the Hyatt. The food was so good. We had grilled shrimp as an appetizer. And then spilt the beef and pork between 3 of us. It’s family style with most meals coming with rice and beans. The menu is small, but everything sounded so good we had difficulty choosing. We had coconut mojitos also that were also delicious. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others.

Breakfast Portions Were Very Large!

By Tina S |

Since we were staying at the Hyatt Centric Hotel, we thought that it would be extremely convenient to simply walk downstairs for breakfast. So glad that we did. Everyone was extremely friendly and the portions were quite large. We all had food to take home. Our favorite was the French toast with the fruit and guava sauce poured on top. Although it was pricy ($80 for 3 people), we still had a wonderful meal, left stuffed and had extremely positive interactions with all staff members. We will definitely return for dinner. We can't wait to try their supper entrees since we had such a great experience at breakfast.

Dinner

By SteveU |

Popped in for dinner as we were staying in the Hyatt hotel. It was fairly quiet for a Friday evening, we arrived at 7:30 and caught the end of the happy hour which has a few house cocktails, wines and beers on the menu. There were a few guests at the bar watching sports on tv. Service was prompt, we were a little surprised how quickly the food arrived at our table but then again, it wasn’t busy as I said. The restaurants decor is contemporary casual and the guests were dressed the same. We had the Camarones al Ajillo (prawns) and the Pescado a la Plancha (fish) and some sides of sweet plantain and cassava chips . All dishes were tasty but the many could do with one or two salads.

Great dinner!

By Donovanchristineann |

Rarely do I eat in the hotel on business trips. Even more rarely do I go back for the same thing the second night. The camarones rebosados were actually fantastic enough to warrant doing just that. Great drinks (I skipped the usual red wine and splurged on the delicious pisco punch). Fantastic service without being overbearing (Felipe last night, Gerson tonight). A most pleasant surprise all around!!

Great Cuban restaurant

By Joefern |

People of Miami and all who visit, listen up! One of the best Cuban restaurants in Miami is at the Hyatt Centric Brickell. There is a Cuban theme throughout the hotel. The artwork in the lobby alone is amazing. The restaurant is located on the second floor; it’s airy and beautifully decorated. The bar is simple and beautiful. We were a party of 7 and went for lunch. We ordered vaca frita, palomilla steak, lomo salteado, Cuban sandwich and pork sandwich. Any one of those is excellent. I went with a seafood special, jalea mixta (not Cuban but...). I have to add that the black beans were good but they tasted a little flat. They could use some tanginess. Juan, our server, was wonderful and worked his butt off to take care of us.
