Good Food Poor Service

By Ruth K |

Taking the time to write this review about the poor service today for lunch. PLENTY of time for the wait staff to be chatting. I had to go find the waiter to order as well as get the bill.

Great atmosphere, food, service

By mariagloria |

We enjoyed lunch at Canaletto while visiting the Venetian. The atmosphere is great with "outdoor" seating in the replica of St. Mark's Square. Service was attentive and the food was very good. It was the best dining experience we had in Las Vegas!

Great Experience

By patriciochgo |

What a great experience. The atmosphere is wonderful in St. Mark's Square at the Venetian. The food was fantastic and delicious and a great value. The service is what really impressed me from the time of arrival with the host, the server and the management team. They truly made it the most memorable of experiences including Jose the Manager. He is a true hospitality professional who was kind, outgoing and just provided the best service ever received. Fantastic value, service and location make it worth visiting.

Very enjoyable!

By Viki C |

We were seated promptly and the service was attentive. I thought the food was excellent and atmosphere enjoyable.

3% inflation charge

By Jim |

3% inflation charge on the tab is ridiculous. If you need the 3%, then incorporate that into your menu pricing. Shameful

Great food, good if not a little touristy location

By Los T |

The pasta is excellent and we enjoyed our experience at the Canaletto. For anyone looking for food in the Venetian resort, this is an excellent choice. My wife enjoyed her pasta pomodoro and still talks about it :)

Disappointing

By Jen68 |

I dont know if we just caught them on a bad night but had a very disappointing visit. Food was OK but the staff were truly awful. The girl that greeted us was rude and dismissive, and our waiter looked like everything was too much trouble. Not a good experience at all. I get the feeling that they think they are a high end restaurant! Save your money, there are many better choices in Vegas.

So good!!

By D5734PEleslies |

Amazing place! Right in “St Marks Square” area in the Venetian. Has great people watching! Also performances happening! Just an incredible area! Had the Tagliatelle Alla Castellana Con Pollo. Wow! So good. My mom had Mushroom risotto and she loved it! Must do!

Mountain West Playoff in Las Vegas

By Nicole C |

Fun atmosphere in St Marks Square at Venetian. Pretty setting with authentic sophisticated Italian feel with table clothes an all. Extensive menu - ordered salmon which was overcooked and poached eggs on spinach with yummy sauce. House salad was fine but gelato was quite good with very nice biscotti. Strolling musicians added atmosphere but the large garage cart in front of our table for 10 minutes was not great.

Convenient

By Buzz1082 |

This was a good Italian place. The service was good. The food was very good. The non alcohol drink choices were very limited. We ended up just drinking water. Not my first choice for a pasta dinner. Would eat here again

Beautiful piece of Venice in Las Vegas

By Finerthings4US |

We had an Elvis wedding today 01/16/24 and had some photos taken at the Venetian and we stumbled across this restaurant. It was like being in Venice many years ago so we opted to have a meal wow they could not have been more welcoming Jose the manager and our server Alejandra who did a brilliant job and looked after us. The staff had a family feel about it. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding the meal was like the icing on the cake of our very special day. Thank you all at the restaurant as you are all a team. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Alan & Lynn

Just ok really

By Olive88 |

Walk in lunch on our last day in vegas. Good beers, pizza was nice although selection a little small and was really expensive to add a few olives to the margarita. Service wasn’t great, quite slow and not very attentive in comparison to some other places in vegas. Caesar Salad was good but the waitress didn’t come round with cheese and black pepper which was a bit disappointing. Quite expensive but expected for location and could quite happily sit there a few hours admiring the setting and people watching.

Nice meal. Good service

By Sunseeker0221 |

Pasta with seafood was great. Seafood cooked not a minute too long. Pasta was al dente. Caesar salad was very good. Server was professional, pleasant, and efficient. Really great meal. Some people’s reviews complain about noise but hey, if you want quiet, don’t go to the echo-ey St Mark’s Square part of the hotel. Of course it will be a little noisy. Good restaurant. Not the cheapest but definitely not on the high-price side of Vegas either.

Run - do not walk - run. The Happy Hour at the bar of Canaletto is a find. The half priced calamari and carpaccio were amazing dishes - friendly and welcoming staff - a good (not weak) Bombay Sapphire martini! My kind of spot.

Finally true Italy

By Gio G |

Encouraged by the reviews, we decided to book at Canaletto. We were greeted politely and served by Raffaele who made us feel at home. Unfortunately the dumplings were no longer available so my husband and I opted for carpaccio, tomato and olive bruschetta, paccheri with meat sauce and casoncelli. All excellent! Here everything speaks Italian! Recommended!!!

Great meal, great service, fabulous location

By Gail G |

We had wonderful service at this Italian within the Venetian. We turned up 15 minutes early and were told they could seat us inside but would need to come back at the allocated time if we wanted to sit outside. We did, so did.. The service was lovely, efficient without being over bearing. The food was excellent. Not the most expensive of meals either. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner in this magnificent surrounding. Thoroughly recommend

Just Okay

By knoxtntraveler_11 |

We had the tagliatelle, a glass of wine, and tiramisu for dessert. The food was pretty much average. Nothing spectacular. The service was okay. Our server did his job but really didn’t make you feel that welcome. Probably wouldn’t return.

Dinner in the square

By John C |

We had a lovely evening meal sitting outside in the square. The food was excellent and throughly enjoyable ambience under the St Marks skyline. The evening was slightly let down by the waiter whose service was so poor, we still had our starters on the table when the mains arrived, and our waiter kept disappearing (we think to watch basketball on the TV) leaving colleagues to assist us when needed. Luckily the food made up for him.

Food flavour

By cathychalack |

Caesar salad was brown lettuce no flavor Chicken was overcooked The waiter was friendly and good service the cherry gelato was amazing

Ok restaurant

By ALMD |

We had lunch here during our stay at the Venetian. Located on St. mark area, nice seating, the food was ok, the service was good, accommodating.

Quality deteriorated

By WhosShemp |

Huge downhill spiral. Firstly, the menu choices are not only obscure and few, but extremely overpriced. Next, it’s nervy to put stale bread on the menu as an item they charge for. Linguini was piping hot with room temperature shrimp beneath it. Clams and mussels were nearly cold. 25% of the mussels and clams had a garlic chunk in it instead of the shellfish, and there wasn’t much to begin with. I have previous reviews that rave about this place. I take it back. I’ve had $19 salads before, but there was way more to them than this. Oddly, our glasses were loaded with ice, yet the soda wasn’t getting cold. $115 lunch for three people, two sharing food. No booze.

Great service and good food

By LG4KL |

We came late without a reservation and the staff did some magic and found us a table. Food was very good and came fairly quickly. I’ll come back

Robbery

By Faker |

This restaurants avoids the 2/5 because of its environment, unbelievable reproduction of Venice really charming. Some happenings may occur during your meal such as concerts. Concerning the food, such a robbery, at least 20 dollars for a little entree where you have nothing to eat. The drinks’ price is unreal, the bread is charged, and I had to ask 3 times for a glass of water. So this restaurant abuses from its environment to increase its prices, but I guess it’s all part of the game, and that’s why you also pay for.

Great lunch

By WPLandry |

We grabbed a quick lunch here and were very pleased. Our meal was delicious. The wine menu had some great offerings. Service was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is fun as well. We enjoyed it for a little lunch bite.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

By 5BeansMom |

This place exceeded our expectations! Food was wonderful. We actually halved both plates and shared. Best food of our trip! Ambiance was great too!

Just Average - I'll give it a B+

By Victoria S |

The wait staff was nice & professional, but the food was just - - Ummm - So-So! We had this pre-selected menu as a part of our wedding package with The Chapel of The Flowers - BTW, I would NOT have them do your wedding either ( They left me and my guests waiting in their parking lot b/c the limo vendor they paid (with OUR money) over-booked their events that day - Sooo embarrassing !) Back to the meal - it wasn't what we were hoping for, and I'm very glad I didn't have my Wedding Reception there ( another Chapel of the Flowers vendor) Ughhh !

A long wait and a big discount.

By RicherTrips |

We arrived late for lunch, coming from the airport, but the place was still full at 2:20pm. Since we were a large group of 9, we got out table 20 min later. They still offered the brunch fixed menu. A waiter came with the bread at 3:00pm and took the orders.. We got the first course at 3:30, and the main course 3:50 . A moment before, a member of our group got angry and asked for explanations. The last dish arrived at 15:58; each member of the group got the plate at a separate moment. When we finally finished at 4:25, we were surprised with a 50% discount

Wonderful location if you're staying at The Venetian!

By becarpenterjr |

We had a wonderful meal of breads, salads and pasta dishes that everyone enjoyed! We sat outside the main restaurant area and were entertained by magicians and singers performing in the courtyard type area near us. It was a very nice evening!

Horrible service and food

By Al S |

In the past, my family and I enjoyed eating at the Canaletto Restaurant in the Venetian Resort and Casino. I was always served good food. This last time, the quality of food and service was very horrible. I ordered the CANNELLONI DI POLLO, which came very cold and tasted terrible. The appetizer also was cold and very unappealing. After our order was taken by the waiter, he completely disappeared from the scene and was not to be found anywhere. The others in my family had the same experience was their order of food. I had to flag down the bus boy to just to get refills on water. No showing up of the waiter or management to discuss our experience. Different waiter took our card to run our card. I regretfully say that this is our last time to Canaletto Restaurant.

Tasty and delightfully relaxing and casual

By Greg P |

Grabbed dinner here during a visit to Vegas. For a restaurant in a huge casino we thought the food was excellent. Pizza tasted authentic like true Napoli pizza in Italy. Wife had the tagliatelle which was amazing. Creamy with a nice hint of bacon flavor. We would definitely eat here again.

Festive dining and special service!

By Amyandfamily2015 |

We did not have a reservation so while waiting for a table we sat at the bar. Jose, who I think is a manager, asked if he could help us. He then proceeded to make me an excellent lemon drop cocktail - he really listened to what I liked and made it perfectly. I could tell he truly wanted us to have a special time and encouraged us to come back. We did because of his gracious service - he went above and beyond for sure! Our food was excellent and the waiter attentive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our two experiences at Canaletto during our 4 days in Las Vegas!

This restaurant is mediocre to poor.

By Bonnie W |

I was expecting a delicious meal but I was disappointed. I had chicken, bacon and mushrooms and pasta with a brandy cream sauce. Sounds delicious but was pretty bland and the chicken was tough. My sister ordered the filet with blue cheese and it was gristlely with a yucky black charcoal coating. The spinach was very bitter and the polenta was hard and tasteless. I would never waste my money going back there again.

Excellent Service and accomodating pmanagers

By Patricia T |

Wanted to sit at bar, and manager actually watched out for spot and had told the bartender to put menus down as soon as a spot opened! He even allowed us to sit at a booth while we waited, and still use the Happy Hour menu! The food was delicious, the bartenders were very pleasant and attentive and we can't wait to go back!

Canaletto, Venetian Hotel

By Sandra P |

An absolutely wonderful place to have a meal right in the centre of the Venetian Hotel, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and lovely food.

Great Lunch experience, amazing food

By Wayne J |

Really great food and service during our first visit. Everything was so fresh. The pizza was as good as anything I have eaten in Italy. The Crepes salad had large fresh tomatoes and cheese.

Dinner

By Mike M |

Looking for Italian dining we decided to try the Canalleto restaurant. Very good service, nice ambient surroundings. The meals were excellent but kind of expensive.

Dining in St. Mark's Square while in U.S.

By Cheryl C |

I remembered this area from a visit years ago to Las Vegas. It took awhile to locate since I only recalled it was in The Venetian Hotel (go to the Shoppes area). I wanted to experience a quiet dinner with the backdrop of this beautifully copied famous location. The sky, too, with its clouds is very real and tranquil. Years ago I believe they had a way to make the clouds move so it felt even more like outdoors. I wasn't all that hungry so just ordered a small pizza to share. It was an interesting pepper combo, spicier than expected and tasted pretty good. The best part, however, was just having dinner in such a special setting. Literally, many of the tables are in a fenced area within the square and you feel like you are outdoors.

Not Like It Used to Be

By DesertRat99 |

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and we even had a family celebration here several years ago. Things were so different this time. The menu was quite limited in its choices, the food was fair, at best, and the room was so dimly lit that it was difficult to see what we were eating (Maybe the lighting is like that for a reason). We will not return to this restaurant.

Several great meals

By Didds84 |

We ate here on three different occasions, all having different meals. All of them were really gorgeous. What really topped it for me was that my husband had the special one night, a goulash which was really, really good. So good that I wished I'd had it. When we went back the next evening it was no longer on the specials or menu, but the waitress went to speak to the Chef and he did one specially for me. I think that deserves a big thank you!! The setting, in 'St Marks Square' is great for atmosphere and people watching. Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant.

Awful

By NyGambler |

Don’t waste your time..the service is awful..men running back and forth but doing nothing took forever for them to take our order..and to get butter for bread is a big problem and it’s so cold it won’t spread..when I asked a question they knew I wasn’t happy so they then brought oil and vinegar to dip the bread…will never stop there again..

Nice romantic place

By Moxieone |

Good food and ambiance at this indoor/outdoor Italian restaurant within the canal shopping area inside the Venetian resort. Service was good not great but considering how busy the restaurant was both times I dined there(lunch and dinner) it was well paced. The entrees were ok to good but not memorable. Very noisy venue due to the crowds even on a Monday. Would return just for the ambiance and wine!

A Great Experience

By LoveVegas |

Just an absolute fabulous location, great food and we were entertained table-side by an amazing magician from the convention we were attending. The food and service was great. So much fun... Definitely stop in when in Vegas.

Hats off to the Chef! Will be back when cousin’s arrive!

By Whitebear134 |

Wonderful meal had the pawns and husband steak! We met the chef and it made it even more enjoyable! Fantastic tiramisu to finish off the meal!

Noisy and overpriced

By SharonLDRN |

Stopped here with family members to celebrate an engagement. Our waitress stayed on one side of the table of 9 people making it difficult to hear what she said. Several ordered individual pizzas, the rest of us ordered different pasta dishes. I had the Coe Secoe e Amarone. It was delicious, though the presentation didn't look like anything you wanted to eat. It smelled wonderful, so tried it. ate it all. Tables were a little close. We were able to have individual checks without any additional charge. Probably will not go back though .

Superb Italian dining experience

By Dana Los Angeles |

Good food, and the location adds to the dimension of the dining experience. Feels almost like dining in Italy, with entertainment in a large square close to the restaurant. Exquisite dining rooms on the second floor overlooking the property.

A Lovely Setting Wasted With Average Food

By JCW703 |

Had some pizza and drinks sitting in the piazza. Because we were not sitting AT the bar (next too it) we were not entitled to the happy hour specials (boo). The pizza was soggy, bland, and overpriced.

Enjoy a relaxed meal while watching live music

By conimaru |

You can eat while watching live music and live shows. The food is pretty tasty. I sat at a table facing the street, and I could see the live show well, but sometimes suspicious pickpockets come next to me, so be careful where you put your luggage.

Very Bad Experience at this place

By Fatou G |

My friends and I got stolen by the waiter at this hotel. He tricked us with the food price. We paid $150 for something we suppose to pay $85. I did not recommend you to go there. Very bad customer service.

Well, darn...

By drpclarke |

I've always liked every restaurant in the Venetian. Well, except this one. I mean..it was GOOD, but not REMARKABLE. Usually the Vegas restaurants are REMARKABLE. Now, the bruschetta was freshly made, with glorious sweet tomatoes...and just YUMMY. But dinner? I ordered the seafood with pasta. It just wasn't tasty. My husband ordered some chicken thing with spinach and yukon potatoes. The spinach was pretty awful.. but really, the worst part was the service. Yes, the waiter was nice...when we saw him. He just never came by, and our drinks and water were never ever filled. I just expect better service than that as I could have gotten higher quality service at the Olive Garden, and I HATE That place...

Excellent Italian Food

By Kathy32955 |

We had gotten a coupon through Travelzoo. The food was excellent and for a nice romantic dinner, this is your place. Service was very good. I would highly recommend.

Busy place

By Lynn B |

The service was wonderful starting with the hostess. Everything from the atmosphere to the waiters to the menu selection was perfect.

Lovely Bunch

By Maree F |

The best salmon omelette I have ever had, great service and coffee here, highly recommend this Cafe for a meal.

Eat like in Italy!

By lynnita30 |

Ate at a great table outside under part of the Venetian Hotel Shoppes with a wonderful view of the painted ceiling looking like a perfect night in Rome. Listened to a live Italian singer and had a delicious dinner served by our waiter Mario.

Great Environment Under the Pretend Beautiful Sky at the Venetian, Food was just OK

By Gary F |

This restaurant is not one I will revisit. It is surrounded by numerous other restaurants in a beautiful environment, but the food was not very good and we had 4 different dishes. The people were all nice but this Italian restaurant did not satisfy my taste buds or anyone of us at the table. I love Italian food so this was a disappointment.

Worse than an Olive Garden.

By DBLJAM |

Food for the masses. 10 mins to even get a server to get me water. Another 5 for a drink order and then no ask of food until the drink came 10 mins later. I ordered simple risotto and it was runny, not creamy, with sage sausage in it. And it was tossed of the table as the server walked past. Poor imitation of Italian cooking. I got the check and left.

Canaletto- A Wonderful Experience

By Zoe |

Canaletto is an Italian restaurant located at the Canal Shoppes in the Venetian. Reservations are highly recommended. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we were seated in a comfortable booth. We went with a couple of friends so we first started with appetizers, the Calamaretti Fritti and Carpaccio Con Ruchetta which were all very good. Two of us had the Paccheri Allá Bolognese. We both agreed it was delicious. The meat ragú was plentiful and full of flavor and the pasta was piping hot which I enjoyed. One friend had the Pollo Ai Funghi which she liked very much. Another person in our party had the Linguine Allá Buranella. I was told the Linguine had too much sauce and there weren’t a lot of seafood in the dish and all the seafood were small in size. Perhaps skip this particular dish. For dessert we had the Tiramisu and Vulcano- chocolate cake. Both desserts were tasty. It’s extremely busy at Canaletto but the waitstaff were all very attentive throughout our meal. I would recommend this restaurant and I would definitely come back. It’s a convenient restaurant especially if you have a show to attend nearby.

Bad service

By Ed L |

Wendy the hostess was terrible. She wanted to seat us on a corner by the bathroom. We ask for a better table, the place was empty, she told my wife "that's all I have" and turned away. Obviously we went right across to Mercato dela Pescheria, what a difference. Great service, ambiance and great happy hour.

The staff undertakes you, nice Italian style, to stick you their food beurk!!!! at pigeons price .A Fuir.

By DANIEL O |

To escape. Tourist trap. Not as good as frozen food. Staff are trying to seduce guests into forgetting that they are going to serve them undignified food, at an exorbitant price Food not good, and in small quantity. Luckily, because she is really gross.. ABSOLUTELY TO BE AVOIDED

Average

By Jeff R |

This restaurant is centrally located in the Venetian Canal Shops plaza. The outdoor seating is loud when the singers are performing in the central outdoor area. We had drinks before dinner. The pours were small and pricey. The appetizers and dinners were only average. The service tended to be on the slow side. This is a convenient location if one is attending a convention at the Sands.

Disappointed

By mizzoucns |

We have eaten here for years every time we are in Vegas. Made a reservation for last night on Open Table months ago and indicated it was our Anniversary. Initial cocktails, appetizers and salads were good. My husbands main course was cold and the alio olio that came with my shrimp meal was inedible. Cold, lumpy, sticky, horrible. No follow up from our waiter after the main course was served. Voiced our dissatisfaction to the young man who cleared our half eaten plates. The young man said he would tell our waiter. After waiting a lengthy time with our waiter still MIA, we gave up. Ordered some coffee and away we went. This was the worst meal and service we have had in all the years we have been coming here. Not worth the $200+ that we spent. No acknowledgement was ever made of our special occasion. Had planned on eating here again a few more nights while we are here but we are going elsewhere. Two stars for the view and cocktails.

By lizzer_a |

We had dinner twice over two visits (Sep & Nov 2024) plus one stop just for a beverage and everything was just perfect each visit. We will visit again!

Terrible Quality Food/Poor Service

By Britt |

For the last 13 years while visiting Vegas I make a point to eat dinner here. I have raved about the authenticity and experience for years. This time it was atrocious. I took a client for dinner and after a long wait for a server, received no greeting, introduction, menu specials etc. the server to say the least was annoyed that he had been sat again and did not care to serve us. They were out of all bolognese dishes (this is an Italian place after all) and we were told we should have come earlier in a very rude way. The stale bread was $2.00 menu charge and did not come with the meal. It was cold and hard and when we asked for butter we were also told they were out. Out of butter?! The food came out cold on both our entrees. The street pizza we had the day before was of better quality. It was embarrassing for me to bring a client to this establishment after raving about it all these years. I will not be coming back to Canaletto ever again. There are far too many excellent restaurants to waste any time or money here.

Completely ignored by staff, take your business elsewhere

By AJ J |

Whilst staying at the Venetian resort we stopped here for some cocktails before going on to a show. We were met the entrance and shown through to the lounge where we were assured we would be served. After 20 minutes of being ignored, we walked. The restaurant was empty, lots of staff standing around chatting, the bar staff could see us but no one came over. Looking at other reviews, it seems that we are not unique. Give it a miss.

Fun setting and good food

By Skibum6969 |

What a fun place in the fake St Mark's Square. Food was above average Italian fare with great service. Live music in the square was slightly grating when the violins were in full flow.

Great before a show!!

By glenagrit |

Quick dinner before an early show. Open air restaurant in St Mark's Square. When there is entertainment in the square it can be a bit loud but the people watching is great. Waiter was great. My wife has celiac and they took it very seriously and did a great job at ensuring she had lots of gluten free choices. We told them before we ordered we had a time constraint and they did a great job at meeting our time requirements. Good wine list by the glass! Def recommend. Great for a larger group of people as well.

Hard to beat Ambiance and Service

By TM R |

Great experience with family from France. Lots of good food and wine choices. Live opera music. Wonderful ambiance. Great service. No casino crowds.

Wedding Meal - Amazing!

By Zoe M |

We had our wedding meal in the Il Moro room at the beginning of February. We organised this from Ireland - I was in contact with Kelly for months. She was incredible. So responsive, helpful, accommodating and friendly. I wish I could have met her on the day to personally thank her. Our two servers were also amazing. The views from the room were gorgeous, overlooking "Venice". The menu was great and there was something for everyone. I ordered the filet mignon and it was perfect. Everyone in our party raved about the food. Cannot recommend this place enough

Fun ambiance at the Venetian

By Elizabeth S |

We made a reservation here for dinner before a show at the Sphere. We sat on the patio overlooking the venetian's replica of "St Mark's Square" and we loved the ambiance. We have been to the real thing in Venice and were impressed by how much of that vibe this restaurant got right. Our waiter, Flavio, was Italian and the menu was filled with authentic Italian fare. We enjoyed our meal very much!

Italy in Vegas

By bballwey |

This is coming from a couple that have been to Italy 5 times. We lucked out with a Travelzoo deal but would have gladly spent full price! My husband had the veal which we said was phenomenal and I enjoyed the stuffed pasta shells with chicken..so good. We started with a good old Cesar salad and ended with a homemade Spinoni! Oh yeah...great wine and awesome service! Sounds like the perfect date!

Tasty Pizza and Beautiful Surroundings!

By ryanh7681 |

Beautiful surroundings inside of the Venetian Saint Mark’s Square. Our group enjoyed great tasting pizzas. Make sure you take a look at the menu as they have lots of great options. We also visited it later during a networking event, and the food was also good at this event as well.

Excellent

By herdec2017 |

The setting is beautiful The service is impeccable and the waiter uses a few words in French The dishes are very good bills The reviews are confusing Dessert (canoli) is a “killing” I won't talk about limoncello at the end of the meal...☺️

Only during happy hour

By amsterdam05 |

We went here for dinner because the place looked very nice. It was still happy hour, which made the prices reasonable. Seating for happy hour is only at the bar on at high tables, which was ok for us. We ordered a pizza picante and the meatballs starter to share, which was no problem. The pizza and the meatballs were good, but if we had to pay the full price we would have been disappointed, for 50% happy hour discount it was fine. For drinks we had a draft bud light, which was flat, no foam, the taste was good, ok for $5 and a good pinot grigio for $7. The total bill during happy hour was $40, including tip, which was ok. Friendly service, nice ambiance.

Wonderful evening -

By Charles R |

This is a great restaurant - the staff is amazing helpful and the food delicious. I do recommend a reservation for the "patio". Very comfortable and great show (people watching) during dinner. The menu is full of wonderful sounding items - we shared the Burrata / Prosciutto as a starter - delicious! They have banzino prepared several ways and we selected the grilled with vegetables - great dish - the fish cooked perfect and the vegetable with capers, green olives and potatoes in a wine sauce - was a perfect addition to the fish. We high recommend Canaletto -

A great all around dining experience.

By montes3476 |

The Bruschetta Al Pomodoro and Carpaccio Con Ruchetta were outstanding. Our group ordered the Linguine Buranella, Coe Secoe E Amarone, Pizza and a steak. I only ate the risoto, which was fabulous, but everyone said their entree was perfectly prepared and delicious. The Affogato Al Caffe' was to die for! On the rare occasion my wife and I order desert, we share one. We will not be sharing this next time, she will have to get her own. This is a large restaurant which was very busy, yet the service was exceptional.

Pleasantly surprised

By denverista |

Selected this restaurant because we were tired of walking up the strip for dinner. The food was better than expected, and the atmosphere (fake Venice) was actually more pleasant than I thought it would be (I kind of dislike fake Disney-esque stuff). Our server was professional, considerate, and personable -- that made a big difference -- and I think because it was a Sunday night, it was relatively quiet.

Good food in a fun place

By Nienke7 |

Excellent location, good food. Friendly service. Try to get a table “outside” on the square. Great fun. We particularly liked the salads and the pizza. Prices are reasonable, particularly when looking at what is “normal” these days in Vegas.

Great atmosphere at Venetian

By Mark D |

This restaurant is in the St Marks Square section of the Venetian Casino in Las Vegas. I started with a shrimp cocktail which came deconstructed. My preference is the more traditional style but it was ok. I had the Bigoli which was a meaty pasta. My partner had Gnocchi Bolognese. I finished with Tirimisu which was exactly as I expected. Good food, great atmosphere with the entertainment from St Marks Square. About $75 USD per head including a bottle of wine. Not bad in this location.

I Finally Made It!

By HawaiiKaiGail |

I have wanted to go here for Years. During a recent stay at The Venetian, hubby and I hit their Happy Hour that starts at 4:00. It’s only at the bar and nearby high top tables. Inside restaurant is formal. Friendly service that wasn’t obtrusive. Almost every seat was taken. The food and drinks are discounted nicely. We tried the calamari which included a bite size polenta. It was so good. The pizza was also good but a little to wet and runny for us. Lovely atmosphere, sitting in St Mark’s Square...not quite the real thing but still very enjoyable. Proud to call Las Vegas HOME.

A Good Choice For Italian

By Patty B |

We had an enjoyable dinner here. I had a wonderful pumpkin martini, delicious and very different. We shared a Caesar Salad and it was good but had an ingredient I can't remember, maybe tomatoes. that was a tad odd. I had Tagliatelle which was very good, and my husband Gnocchi. Our server Alessandro was excellent, but the staff responsible for offering grated cheese fell down on the job. Alessandro was busy with other tables and we could see the helper not doing his job. So we did without the grated parmesan cheese. Food was good, we sat outside which was nice. This St. Marks is a big, confusing place. Easy to get lost finding any of these restaurants. Allow time so you don't miss your reservation

Great service

By Maggie |

Got the pasta at our waiters recommendations and it was so good! Stuffed mushrooms were also yummy. Def a great find for us. Recommend.

Shouldn't be called an italian restaurant. It's an insult to Italians.

By Alessia D |

Had dinner at this restaurant. I'm italian. I live in italy. The food here was the worst food i have ever eaten. We ordered 4 lobster with spaghetti . Absolutely terrible. Pasta was over cooked, and stuck together like playdough. The taste was so bad. Nothing about that dish was fresh. Lobster was cold aswell. Sauce tasted like store bought prego sauce. And they charged 65$ each or it. Pizza dough was hard. Only good thing was the bread. Waiter was nice but , none of our empty plates or glasses were ever taken off our table. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. Worst pasta I've ever had in my life. For what they charge i would of expected a 5 stare experience. Never going back and won't be recommending to friends.

I could eat the Gnocchi Pomodoro for every meal for the rest of my life

By Erin M |

I came here with a few friends, we got the bruschetta to start (which was delish). And because i’m a tomato girl, I got the gnocchi pomodoro. It was so great, i have no idea how they got the gnocchi so pillowy and soft, it was definitely the food highlight of the trip. My friends also got the same gnocchi or the tagliatelle which everyone loved. I got an espresso martini- really well made. We ended our meal with the tiramisu, which was so so good, we rated it a 9/10. The service was great as well. Overall, amazing experience, I will be back next time i’m in vegas.

Fourth time was not good

By FabiolaO |

We went for dinner twice before and it was exceptional. This time after 2 years we went back for dessert and coffee and it continues being a good service and good food. The day after we went back for desert and coffee around 4:30pm, the hostess told us that she couldn't seat as on a table and we need to be at the bar even there were no space but there were more than half of tables not used. We called the manager and basically they said that if we don't go for dinner we have to seat at the bar. I explained him that it was too early for dinner and we will use the table maybe for less than an hour but they preferred to loose the service.

Happy Hour visit

By Stacy B |

We were here in the afternoon and decided to stop because of the happy hour special. Great deal $9 glass of wine. Great wine! Dinner was a little disappointing. I know everything in Las Vegas is expensive and I’m not complaining about that. But for a $27 plate of prosciutto, 5 thin breadsticks, and 3 tiny tiny pickles? Then for $32 a plate of Gnocci. Good portion for the price but my impression of the first bite…Chef Boyardee ravioli in a can. That’s what the sauce tasted like! I was really expecting a good Italian sauce. Would go again for the wine, but definitely not the pasta!

Multiple Dishes Cold and Undercooked.

By Jon R |

Multiple Dishes Cold and Undercooked. Ordered four dishes. Both pasta dishes were fine. Both steak and egg dinners were cold. Steaks were almost raw, ordered medium to medium rare. Asparagus was a lot colder than room temperature and hard. Dip for bread was plain vinegar and oil. My meal was so cold and undercooked I had to send it back. By the time it arrived the other three persons were finished. I had to basically eat alone. My brother in law just left his steak dinner on the plate and later bought a sandwich. No apologies from the cook. Maybe I’ll get one now?

Not Cheap But It Was Good

By Patty B |

We were astounded by the high prices for pizza at the Venetian. We walked around, and places that did not look that good had expensive pizzas. We settled on Canaletto because at least it looked like a nice place. You feel like you are at Disney World when you are near the canal shops. You are inside but it feels like you are outside at night the way they designed the ceiling etc. Too bad much of it isn't that appealing. Service was OK, host was not that friendly and server was pretty much the same. I got the feeling they were not happy that all we ordered was pizza. That said we thought the sauce was good and the pizza tasty.

Total lack of service

By goldfingerCt |

Was looking for a good meal as i had been there before, I was seated while the restaurant was no more than 1/4 full. I waited 15 minutes and nobody even brought me water, They lost a customer as i usually eat there 2 or three times while i am in town. Went instead to my go to place Lobster Me.

Just say no.

By Lermis |

Hubby and I showed up in time for happy hour before our show and landed a half price pizza. At 10 bucks it was OK but very greasy! I used about eight to ten cocktail napkins and made it edible but if it had been 20 bucks I might have revolted. The house salad off the menu was even worse! It was so brown and rusty looking that I asked for a do over. The salad that came ten minutes later was dripping with dressing and I had requested it ON THE SIDE. The third salad was fair at best and was comped by the waitress so I did not complain any further. Needless to say this was our first day at the Venetian and we will not be back at this restaurant!

Excellent.

By j9999 |

yes it is fake Italy but the food here is seriously delicious. They have a fake outdoor patio but it is actually a nice experience with ambiance. Service was excellent. You would think it is a tourist trap but the food was great

Anniversary Dinner

By bstumpo |

Great location, food above average, service good. I was expecting it to be a little better but quaility was good. Very crowded.

Great find for nice food

By MPRBoston |

This is a restaurant I frequent while in Vegas and here's why. First, they have a great wine list and good happy hour. Secondly, every item I have eaten there has been superb. Third and most importantly, the bar staff are great. Price point is Vegas ok...

Fantastic Italian food and service

By JHeskin |

Great food. Beautiful atmosphere in the Venetian hotel. Great service. Perfect service. The risotto was great.

A Nice Selection of Wines

By The_Loup_Garou |

A Nice Selection of Wines In June, we were staying at The Venetian, for a series of business meetings for my wife, and while exploring the Grand Canal Shoppes, I came across Canaletto Ristorante, next to St Mark’s Square. I looked at the wine list, and decided that as soon as they opened, I needed to explore that wine list, in depth. It was just before Canaletto opened, so I busied myself looking over the restaurant. It’s not accurate to call the main dining areas “al fresco,” as it is under the roof of the Grand Canal Shoppes, but as the ceiling has a projected sky on it, the feeling is that one is dining outdoors, and near St Mark’s Square. There was also dining areas inside the building’s facade, but I did not explore those spaces. The bar had opened, so I took a seat, to the far right. The bar is divided up into sections, by the columns of the facade, so it felt a bit disjointed. The bartender was still setting up for the morning, but I had my wine list in had, and quickly made some decisions - remember, I had read the wine list, before they opened. The Bucci Verdiccio was where I started - nice, crisp wine, though the “restaurant-grade” wine glass did not really help the wine that much, plus it was too cold. I had time, so just let it warm up a bit. Next, I moved on to the Bin 5757 Unoaked Sonoma Chardonnay. This wine was also nice an crisp - just what I needed after my breakfast. Service was a bit spotty, but the bar had just opened, and was still in the process of being set up, and I do not think that the design, with fragmented seating areas, helped - friendly, but with pauses, when the bartender seemed to disappear. Next time, I will get a 2-top, out in front, rather than at the bar. Still, fun wine list, in a lovely setting.

Light dining selections were fine

By JimGunther |

As we're early and light diners, Canaletto filled the bill. Carpaccio and Pizza were satisfying and the wine and beer at half-price kept the bill reasonable.

Warning

By Lisa D |

Be aware if you choose this restaurant based on their online menu it is not the same when you get there. We were told because of covid they have not updated their menu although the have been open for months. Lazy. If they can't take care of a simple task like an online menu i can imagine how the rest of the place is run.

Server “Vito” will exceed your expectations!!!

By William Smiles Wilson III |

Birthday trip to see “Bryan Adams” @ the Wynn, wanted some Italian cuisine close to venue, so made reservations at “Canaletto” In Venetian. Our meals were outstanding, however what made our Birthday 🥳 visit memorable, was our waiter “Vito”. Ask for him, if you happen to feel like Italian, as he will exceed your expectations!!!

Disappointed

By Neil T |

We had been looking forward to eating at Canelletto at the Venetian in Las Vegas. So, you check out the menu online and make your choices. When you get to the Venetian you find that the menu online had long since been discontinued. So the three page menu online has become a two page hard copy. The staff are superb but even they were very apologetic and dismayed that the online menu has not even updated. Can the management not get their act together and sort out the online menu? It is totally unacceptable and very disappointing to arrive at the restaurant, full of enthusiasm and find that the menu you then look at is not the same as the menu you have studied online? Obvious error and surprising that an upmarket restaurant can make such a basic mistake. There you go, could do better.

Amazing setting and great food

By Ben D |

Set in St Mark’s square, the setting for this restaurant is amazing. Food was great, I had the speciality pasta and it tasted very fresh. Wine a little bit expensive but good selection. Would definitely recommend.

Eat inside

By Michael C |

Although it is nice to eat outside in the square: the inside part of the restaurant is a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy the great italian food. Our dinner was truly Italian - wonderful. The service and wine were excellent! This is ra=eally a great place for Italian food at the Venetian.

Absolutely Fabulous!

By Janice C |

The food and ambiance were wonderful and the service was excellent! Our waiter (whom we nicknamed Nick) was very entertaining and had the patience of a saint dealing with 4 women who had difficulty deciding on what to eat. We dined in St. Mark's Square and listened to lovely music played by a trio of musicians in the middle of the Square. The dinner was superb and will be a wonderful memory for us all!

Worst meal we have ever had in Vegas!

By mb2 |

We went here for a late evening meal. We ordered their Lobster special. What we received was a shell with little to no meat other than some tiny pieces in the claws. There was little to no meat in the tail at all, almost the shell only. We should have sent it back. It was $100 for basically spaghetti which wasn’t that great either. One of the worst meals we have had in Vegas in all of our trips.

Inflation surcharge??

By Jim |

We visit Vegas three or four times each year from Florida. We were in town last week for six days and stayed at Palazzo. This is one of our ‘go to’ restaurants so we had dinner on our first night. As usual the meal was great, the setting was terrific and the service was perfect. Until I got the bill to find a 3% inflation surcharge added. What?? Five other dinners at five other restaurants with no such charge. I’m terribly disappointed in this Canaletto scam. Shame on you.

Great spot

By Odyssey670116 |

A unplanned dinner turned into a good experience at the bar. Needing a bite to eat but not too hungry, Canaletto was great. At the bar, we split bruschetta and pasta bolognese. Our bartender/ server did a good job. Only negative-Mild pour on my husband’s woodford reserve pour.

Pretending Italian

By Simone |

Pretending to be Italian in decor, food and service But far away from the original one! Food is below average Atmosphere is not elegant

Disappointed

By Brian E |

My wife and I came her for the first time nearly 20 years ago, and have come back throughout the years. It’s been a few since and we were very surprised recently when we brought our kids. The food no longer tastes authentic, and it’s apparent they’ve gone to mediocrity, yet still charge for the old taste. The four dishes we ordered lacked flavor, needed major salt, and had the quality of Olive Garden at best. Service was great, but that’s not what kept us coming back.

Good Happy Hour choices

By nkdp |

Canaletto is in the Grand Canal, so good location. They have one of the larger happy hour menus in Vegas with quite a few nice food choices. The carpaccio was good, and a nice portion at hh prices. 3 choices of red hh wine and quite a few cocktails (but weirdly, a column listed on the hh menu aren't included). Service is spotty, but they're always busy, and since we didn't eat a meal, I can't comment on how that service would be.

Delicious with great service

By Darren T |

My wife and I found a Travelzoo coupon for this restaurant and were eager to give it a try. We each enjoyed an appetizer, main course and shared a dessert. Items we ordered: -INSALATA DI PERE -POLPETTINE DUETTO -GAMBERONI ALLA BUSARA -GRIGLIATA DI PESCE CON POLENTA -SOFFIATO AL CIOCCOLATO All of the food came out exactly as expected and tasty very good. Service: Our server James was a joy. He elevated our experience and did not treat us any different although we had a prepaid Travelzoo coupon. If you are in the mood for Italian food, I would suggest giving Canaletto a try. You can enjoy your meal at their indoor, but outdoor patio inside of the Venetian.

A nice quiet place

By Belen A |

After a few days with so much craziness of lights, noise, and people, we find this really cute place. Food was very tasting and prices were right for the venue. Just to clarify we got there before the live music start at the plaza but even with that it was a very nice.

Always a good "go to"

By Sergio1954 |

We have been here many times over the years. Every time is nice, but this time the food was outstanding even though there was a "special" menu for the F1. I had the 1/2 Main lobster with pasta. A nice size lobster with great sized claws. The pasta alongside was absolutely delicious. You don't think that pasta would be anything special, but this was amazing -- I couldn't stop eating... $72 is not a bad price for that size of lobster. My husband had the lamb chops which were a special. He said they were some of the best lambchops he has had. There was a certain glaze which made them very flavorful. Our server MITCH was great -- there when you needed him and answered any questions. We will be going back -- always a great choice.

Fancy Fresh Pasta

By Brad H |

This was a good choice. Everyone should be ordering the chicken with brandy cream sauce and homemade fettuccine. It was delicious. We also had fresh bread and Peroni was a good beer choice. The other meat and pasta dish was great too. Service a bit off, but everyone was wearing masks.

Delicious

By Stefanie H |

I was travelling solo and booked dinner on the patio to watch people in the square. My server, Kurt was such a pleasure. Made me feel right at home, had wonderful recommendations and provided impeccable service. The food was delicious. I had the Burrata, Canneloni and a light dessert. Would definitely recommend it!

Expensive but good service and food

By stevebintley |

Given it’s location in the courtyard I was expecting this restaurant to be a bit of an overpriced tourist trap, but fortunately left happy and satisfied. The service throughout the stay was top notch and the member of staff was knowledgeable with the menu and happy to make recommendations. There’s a good range of items available without it being overbearing and there is a huge selection of wine too. Service time with the food was quick and the portion size just right. The atmosphere was lovely given the setting and while far from a cheap meal, it didn’t feel outrageous for the level of service. If you’re wanting a proper meal in the area then it’s worth considering.

Always a good "go to"

By Sergio1954 |

We have been here multiple times and it is always a good experience. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Service was timely and our server explained the specials well. My husband had the spaghetti with shrimp, which he said was very good. I had the tagliatelle (sp?) with chicken, mushrooms and bacon. It was very good, but VERY heavy on the butter. So if you don't want something super rich - this is not what to order. They have a nice selection of fish and pasta's. Some interesting appetizers. We will go again as we enjoy people watching from the patio and the energy level is very good.

NOT UP TO EXPECTATIONS

By Edy C |

Not up to the Venetian Resort standards. A couple of years before the current owners, we came here, the food was excellent and the services good. This time around, the food was terrible nothing compared to the previou time, I ordered a barolo classic, it was like drinking battery acid, of course I sent it back, for being an Italian restaurant the wine list is atrocious, the appetizer and dinner was served at the same time, on top of everything food didn't taste good. Shame when restaurants changed ownership and they changed the recipes. Won't come back and not recommend it anymore.

Superb food and location

By Favouriteword |

Within the Venetian complex with a fantastic setting you feel like you are outside on a balmy evening. The service was professional an friendly and the food delicious, as was the wine. The opera singer was an added bonus. A definite if you like fine food and wine.

Great food and service and a fund atmosphere/location

By 749David |

Yes, I know it's not the 'real' St. Mark's square, and Yes, I get that it's a bit cheesy, but it's a lot of fun. You really feel like you're in an Italian piazza, and the music every 30 minutes is real and entertaining. You're in the Casino, but it feels like you're outside. The Pasta is perfect, and large portions, the service is immaculate and the wine list offers a broad and very reasonably priced selection. This is priced reasonably and I'd recommend it to anyone staying at or visiting the Venetian.

Very nice Italian meal!

By Charles1019 |

First visit to this restaurant. We were there at dinner time and they were busy but we were seated right away. The server took a while to get to use for drinks and the service throughout the meal was good , not excellent. We started out with Calamaretti Fritti which is baby squid which were tasty and tender. I also had their soup of the day, Potato Leak. Creamy and tasty. My main course was Spaghetti Bolognese with meatballs. Tasty as well. We will be back here again and hope the service is a, little better next time.

Very good atmosphere and food

By usmboyzzz |

I was here for a business event. the service was very good. The food was very tasty. I would say it's over-the-top great. But we really enjoyed the experience and it's in a great location.

Virtual Italy

By GoldenBernese |

A Venetian specialty: a virtual experience that makes you feel like you're in Venice indoors. We had lunch at a restaurant in the virtual San Marcos Square. Most "Italian" food in America is "Italian-style American food," but this restaurant is relatively Italian and quite delicious. We were also able to enjoy live music from the square on the terrace.

Excellent pasta and salads…great location

By LBHouston11 |

Went with another couple for lunch. Salad with coucous, pasta and othhernsalads were great. Service is good and location at the Venetian is wonderful. Sit outside to enjoy the view….except entertainment nearby makes it noisy.

Excellent

By Durwood N |

First let me say that Raffaele Was a superb server. It was very attentive informative and prompt. The food was excellent. We decided to share an omelette and the bruschetta. Both of which were excellent, but I just now realized I’m not a particularly big fan of polenta. Nonetheless the food was very good and I recommend it highly. The prices are great for the serving size.

Great food and atmosphere

By mrsapet |

Enjoyed our meals, pricey but worth it. Among group of 4 we ordered seafood, steak and items, all pleased. Depending on time there is a wait and you may have to check back, so make a reservation.

Fun Italian restaurant at the Venetian!

By Beth43323 |

Great meal and service! We enjoyed our pasta and gnocchi meals and the setting, including the serenades of the tenor opera singer.

Commercial

By Johnny B |

Apps were good pizza to soft. Need to bring back the attractions that went on in the past. Should of never blocked the square with ice cream stand

Always a good choice

By Sergio1954 |

This is one of our go to places when we are at the Venetian. I always make a reservation because you never know which conferences etc are in town. We were seated promptly for our reservation. It was quite busy since it was before and Eagles concert at the sphere. Our server James was very helpful explaining any specials and suggested a nice dry pinot grigio. We had tried a few of their appetizers and they were good, but normally we just order an entree and dessert since the food is very filling. My husband had the gnocchi with bolognese - gnocchi were very light and fluffy. I had the pasta with bolognese which was very good as well. Fresh grated parmesan finished the dish. We had a lemon gelato for dessert. Service is always good and the atmosphere (we always sit on the patio) if fun -especially watching people go by. We will come here again and would recommend.

Second time eating here over

By Scoop70 |

Second time eating here over the years. The restaurant was very busy with the Tech conference having reserved the “outside” area by the square. We had a later reservation but we were able to get in earlier which was nice. The food is still very good here. We dined on the veal and caprese salad. Our waiter was excellent. Price point is on par. Not over priced for the location.

Delicious dinner

By Maverick1971PR |

The bread, the risotto and the ravioli were delicious. The spaghettini with the "whole" lobster was a dissapointment as the carapace was almost empty... so little meat for such an expensive dish. The service was great. The place is romantic and beautiful.

Wonderful atmosphere - but food really poor

By 2fortravelSanJose_Ca |

We try and make this a regular when we come to Vegas but this time the food was really bad. My fish was very salty and so many bones. My wife had the gnocchi and it was mushy like it had been microwaved and the sauce was flat. Very disappointed!

Italian done very well!!

By Wyotraveller307 |

I will be honest, when my wife booked this I thought it was going to be commercially cheesy. However, I was very impressed. Both of us had excellent main coarses, the aperitif was excellent. We did not have room for desert!! They had an excellent wine selection with numerous bottles of Italian wines, which happen to be our favorite. Service was excellent but not over-bearing. I will definitely return for another great Italian meal the next time I am in Vegas.

Good Italian food with excellent view of Plaza in Venetian

By David S |

The setting is great for people watching. It's like you're eating in San Marco Square in Venice. The food was very classic Italian with good choices of pasta, fish and meat. Wine list was good and had reasonably priced options. The service was great - the waitress was very friendly and made excellent suggestions. A lot of appetizers are good for sharing.

Wonderful dinner with the hubby

By SheilaH19 |

We arrived for an early dinner without a reservation and easily got in prior to a large party that was happening that evening. Our waiter was attentive and the food was excellent. Started with the bruschetta and for entrees we had gnocchi bolognese and shrimp scampi. We ate everything it was so tasty! We were definitely thrown by the inflation surcharge being added to our bill. Only had it at this restaurant in the Venetian as we ate across the square the next day without paying it. Come on owners, let's stop this nickel and diming thing of your patrons and just be happy you've got us coming back after the pandemic!

A must for Italian lovers!

By David M |

I had the best seafood linguine I ve ever tasted. Big enough to share too! We also had lobster spaghetti which was a special and gorgeous too! We would definitely recommend and return!

Overall Good Experience, However Be Cognizant

By Michael P |

Atmosphere very eloquent and soft. Service excellent. Location a little challenging but ok. Food a little pricey for pasta. Overall a good experience. However the 3% surcharge for employee health/training in my opinion is not acceptable. There is no proof where that 3% of everyone’s Bill is going to that the restaurant is charging. While Nevada state law doesn't explicitly ban surcharges, the State Attorney General has advised that merchants cannot bury these types of fees on a consumer's bill without notification. If a fee is placed in fine print at the bottom of a menu where it is not easily seen, it violates the requirement for clear and conspicuous disclosure. It’s time for patrons to stand up and not pay or just leave the establishment and not dine there. It’s nickel and diming at its best. It’s everywhere when it comes to Resort fees or even paying for parking! And then you wonder why tourism is down in Las Vegas. Greed is having an effect on Las Vegas.

Wonderful Food with Distinct Flavors

By Dale W |

We had a wonderful meal here; in fact, it was one of the best meals I've every had. Everything was delicious, from appetizers through dessert. We had the calamari and the caprese for appetizers and they were both excellent. I had the homemade pasta with chicken, bacon, and shitake mushrooms and it was filled with interesting flavors. I had their tiramisu for dessert and it was one of the best I've ever had; light and airy yet rich with complex flavors. Our server knew her stuff and did a good job of staying on top of the the dishes.

Can't even say it's OK

By nytraveler17 |

This was our worst meal in Vegas on our most recent trip. The good first, service and management were very accommodating when my wife had to send her meal back due to the poor quality of the dish and they quickly replaced it with something more edible but still mediocre. Ambiance was also very nice. On to the food. My pasta Bolognese was average at best. Lacking flavor and the pasta was nothing to write home about. As previously mentioned my wife's chicken dish featured rubbery chicken which was pretty much inedible. Her replacement pizza was just ok. Our salads were also meh. Believe it or not I think we would have gotten better food at an Olive Garden. Didn't even attempt dessert, just wanted to pay and go. Oh well, live and learn. We won't be back that's for sure.

Better than the real Venice

By Lapyang |

The restaurant is located indoor, with a fake outdoor, by the canal setting. We like the food here better then in real Venice. We also like the fake ambiance than the real sun. No UV, no wrinkle. There were “street performers”, so the wait time for food was entertaining. We both ordered seafood dishes and we were happy with our orders.

Charming place to eat!!

By CiaoBella0215 |

Prices are a bit high .. however you get what you pay for!! Service was good and the location sitting outside on the inside terrace was quite nice. This restaurant has a great location, if you want cheaper prices go out to dinner in Henderson!!

Fresh dishes instead of fast food

By Rick S |

Outside on the terrace, but still inside on St. Mark's Square. Excellent menu with average prices. Especially considering the price/quality ratio. Highly recommended if you like fresh pasta or other (not pizza) Italian dishes. We had lunch there and are considering having dinner there as well.

Super Service, Great Food!

By WaterfallsLover |

Was here for a business dinner during a Gaming Conference. Table of 7 and it was a little hard to hear since it was busy but that is my only complaint t, which the restaurant has no control over. Service was amazing! We had the best waitress (wish I remembered her name). So friendly and had fun laughing with us. Food was also top notch! Great setting. This was the third time I’ve been here. I’ll be back!

Lovely setting, but food a little overpriced to me. 4.3.

By MPP2703 |

Lovely setting helps this restaurant. My gripe is that I felt it a little overpriced, but gone seems to be the day of cheap meals in LV. So three of us started with pepsi's $4.50 each, but refillable. My Queen had her usual vino $14.00. So the food, all good, but in my mind pricey. Ceasar salad for my Queen, $18.95. My son and his girlfriend had Paccheri Ragu and pizza margherita, $27.95 and $19.95 respectively. I had Pizza Funghi for $23.95. Service was good. Pricey, but recommended.

Need to do better

By Alan S |

Underwhelming experience. Food was hit or miss. Gamberoni alla Busara came to the table cold after a 1 hour wait. The side of “homemade “ spaghetti was clumped together and couldn’t be separated with a fork. It was over cooked and tasted like mush. Linguine Buranella was acceptable as an offering but again nothing that was note worthy. Bread is an extra that needs to be ordered This is a first for us. Deserts were good as was the cappuccino. The service was nonexistent. When the food was served there was no follow up with cheese or for that matter with silverware. It was a lot of money for a marginally pitiful experience. Life is short. There are other choices that provide a much better value. A note about the hour that it took the food to come out ……. The chef was talking to people in a table behind ours for that period of time. I guess that the expectation is that the kitchen will run itself.

Great service

By Grognard |

Excellent food and reasonably priced for Las Vegas. We had a shared salad, bottle of mineral water, 2 glasses of wine two entrees and a shared desert. With a generous tip $200

Pleasant ambiance, good food

By lubger |

Really enjoyed this place sitting at a "square" within the massive Venetian complex. They have both "indoor" and "outdoor" sitting (well, obviously, it's ALL indoor, technically speaking", but the illusion is there). Great food, very polite and attentive service - we liked it all.

Excellent service and Food

By iamkira0002 |

This is so far one of my Fav. Italian restaurant. The service was excellent, servers are knowledgeable and informative. They know exactly what to suggest for first-timers. It was perfect because the location is just next to the Venetian canal with a live performance. There were like Disney Italian singers that perform on the stage, so close to where we sat down, and a performer on the balcony, serenading the people in that area. It was overall a great experience. btw, the food was excellent!!! fresh and delicious.

Disrespectful, inhuman and condescending host

By Laurène S |

We have picked this restaurant because it seemed good and it close late (10 pm) as we arrived very late at vegas. We get lost in the Venetian and when we arrived at the restaurant the hostess tried to help us and then a guy, probably the hostess' chief, ask me what i wanted with a odd glance. I told him that we get lost, that i call them before To be sure for the closing time and that i have a 2 years old kid To feed. He answered me that they were closed. I told him that they say that they close at 10 pm. He look at me straight in the eyes, totally disrespectfully, and told me "yes but it is 10pm01". I asked him if he were serious, and as he did not answer we left with a bad bad impression. I recommande the italian restaurant juste in front of this disrespectful one: Mercato Della Pescheria. They accept us without any trouble and it was very good !!

Excellent choice if you want healthy and spectacular Italian food

By Tatiana L |

The food was spectacular. Super cute atmosphere and very good service. I highly recommend it. I ordered salmon and it was so good. I also want to stress that the food is healthy and the portion adequate.

Live music

We went for dinner and sat in the St. Marks Square area which gives the feel of being outside without the heat, pigeons, bugs... They have the smoothest Limonchello we’ve tried. The service was very attentive and the food very good.

Expensive Italian

By Julie T |

This is in a great location but our personal experience was not good. We arrived for our 8.30 booking and was shown to a nice table in the square and ordered a drink. Our starters arrived quite quickly and were very nice but before we had finished our starters the main meal was bought to the table, the server took away our starters to make way for our mains, in hind sight we should have asked them to take them back until we were ready. The bill was shocking £240 for 2 starters, one pasta dish, one salmon dish and 2 drinks, would we return there - no, would I recommend it - no

A very disappointing experience

We visited with friends who had eaten here 4 years ago and wanted to repeat the excellent experience. Unfortunately, that was not to be. The staff were very friendly but the food was disappointing. The linguini was overcooked, and neither the mussels nor the clams were of the standard we are used to in Europe. When one of us said the "meal was disappointing," they immediately removed it from the bill - without even asking what was wrong with it! Certainly a sign that they knew the food was not up to standard. Overall a very disappointing meal, not a good reflection on the Venetian, and we certainly would not return.

Great Italian Food

My must visit when in Vegas. Great food, relaxing ambience, and occasional live music from the recreation of St Mark's Square.

Excellent stellar dinner!

We had dinner at this splendid restaurant in "Piazza San Marco" inside The Venetian in Las Vegas. Very beautiful, luxurious restaurant, high prices but excellent service and above all delicious dishes of unique goodness. It's expensive but it's worth it!

Stopped at this restaurant

Stopped at this restaurant for a lunch. I’ve ordered a salad with arugula leaves, avocado, tomatoes and couscous. My husband had a half of roast chicken with green beans, spring carrots and mash potatoes. Chicken dish was nicely cooked, unfortunately can’t say same about my salad... I would not recommend it it to anyone.... left most of it. Couscous was lumpy , undercooked and flavourless. I had to feed up on bread and veggies from my husband lunch. The restaurant wasn’t busy, when we visited it and yet service was really slow . I would not come back there, although setting and surroundings are very nice and pleasant.

Worst Italian food ever

Came for dinner with a party of 9 friends traveling from Italian for dinner. I don’t even know where to start with this review. Everything is extremely over pierced! Well, for what was served at least. Past was over cooked, cold and didnt taste fresh at all!!! Pasta stuck together as if there was glue in it. It was disgusting. Lobster wasn’t fresh as well and everything was cold. Wouldn’t recommend, and never going back. Such a rip off.

Great Atmosphere and Food

Whenever in Vegas, I go to The Venetian and have dinner at Canaletto. I’ve been enjoying the atmosphere, food and drinks there for years. You can’t go wrong starting out with the Calamaretti Fritti. Some of my favorite mains are the Linguine Buranella , Pesto Gnocchi and the Pomodoro with added shrimp. I highly recommend checking out Canaletto next time you’re in Vegas

Good food, great ambience.

My branzino with roasted potatoes was amazing. Unfortunately my son's pasta was stuck together. But overall food was delicious. Our server Vincenzo was very efficient and friendly making our dinner more special. We were seated "outside" in the San Marco square. Very pretty. Great ambience! I would go back.

Delicious food, servers attitude could be better.

My wife & I had a very nice dining experience at this restaurant when we went for our dinner on a Sunday night. The vibe & atmosphere is very venice-like and we enjoyed it. Food was good too, we loved the desserts- Chocolate sponge cake & vanilla ice cream. 1 thing which they could improve - is the servers behaviour, our servers were not the most welcoming or warm. But overall, it was a good experience.

Taste, quality, and atmosphere

Lovely setting in the Venetian hotel. I enjoyed a filet with Gorgonzola sauce. One of my favorite meals of the week, and I feel the price was more reasonable than the other steak restaurants in the hotel.

Average set but good food

The venue location was really nice. The service was ok, I got the feeling our server wasn’t very happy, either with us or in general. The bathroom was up a couple flights of stairs which was really inconvenient. Menu pricing was reasonable and the food came pretty quickly considering how busy they were. We shared a calzone and our friends had a pizza, pasta, and Caesar salad.

Cappuccino and Desserts!!

A pleasant and much needed reprise for a cup of cappuccino and dessert. Staff was professional and friendly and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for!

Stunning food in a stunning location.

We stumbled across this restaurant in the replica of St Marks square in the Venetian hotel. They were able to accommodate us without waiting and it was so wonderful to eat our meal as if we were in Venice. The surroundings are breathtaking and the food was delicious too. Definitely worth a visit if in Las Vegas.

Excellent Italian food in Saint Mark Square in the Venetian.

Three of us died here on a Friday. Service was good, but not great. I had the Bolognese, my wife had risotto and my friend had gnocchi. All were very good. The only drawback were Red was not included, and I felt the menu could’ve been a little more expensive. I still would recommend.

Beautiful location!

This place is beautiful and is located in the center of action. I ordered a calzone and it was big and perfect to share. I personally would have like some bread to start, but it wasn’t offered. It was still good. I highly recommend this place if you want a quick bite.

Wedding reception

Amazing, could not have been more happy. We used the upstairs area, 40 people but holds up to 150. The service was 5 star, the food was even better. Go eat, drink and be merry, life is to short!!! This is the restaurant to do it at.
