On the water in the venetian, a bit confusing to find, but worth the trip. Amazing food and drinks. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. The braised beef in the enchiladas was wonderful and I want a bucket of their red sauce. The queso fundido with homemade chorizo was great and filling

Food was average Tex-mex but omg the service was awful!! Server was 30 mins to get pretty simple margaritas & pina coladas! Accompanying straws thrown into the table as an afterthought. Shared plates served with nothing to eat off

Food was great! People forget they are on the strip and will get over charged for any thing anywhere. Will be back here next time!

Cañonita is what I would call basic Tex-Mex. The menu is a bit on the pricey side for what you get, but LV isn't the bargain it once was either. A bit surprising that chips and salsa are not free (as they are in almost every Tex-Mex place in the US), but if you want them, you can order them for an extra $11. The attraction of Cañonita is basically siding next to the fake Venetian canal, watching fake gondolas ferry tourists through the Grand Canal Shoppes. It's a bit on the noisy side, but it's also good for people-watching. The bottom-line is you'll probably find something here that you will like, just about 25% more expensive than you'd pay at home.

Amazing location beneath the faux sky in the Venetian. Perfect food and service. Tasty nachos and guacamole.

This place is odd-it feels like a fast food joint due to the wood chairs and overall casual atmosphere but the prices indicate finer dining. The food is mediocre at best. Chips and salsa cost $10. My husband ordered the carne asada cooked to medium. It came out mostly well done and is served with four sliced carrots and 1 brussel sprout cut in half. This runs $41. I got the chicken enchiladas which were good but not great. The service was very good. The margaritas are overly sweet. The best thing is the location being right along the canal. Unfortunately we won’t be back here. Just disappointing overall.

Great place on the canal of Venice..delicious and well priced cocktails, good food and good service.

No reservations but we were lucky and got a table by the canal. Dinner was very good and the Lotus margarita was delightful.

Had a business lunch meeting, on a very busy afternoon. Quickly seated and attended to. Ordered the guacamole, which was outstanding. The menu is broad and the food was better than average. The only consideration to address is that the meals took a while to be served. If not in a tight time frame for lunch, this is a good option in the Canal Shops.

I have eaten at this restaurant 2x before. Each time it was good, this time it was extraordinary. It was just 2 of us but I made reservations on Open Table not to take a chance. We sat on the canal side which is such a great view and ambiance. The server and busser were fantastic. We ordered shrimp tacos, shrimp burrito smothered with verde sauce, chips salsa and quacamole. The salsa was dark and roasted, not chunky and light. It had a strong flavor with a little heat. Quac was perfect and the rest of the food was to die for. Reccomend the margarita flight as well. Great atmosphere, great food, great service.

Great view with dinner - but service and food was just average. Missing an item from our order which needed to be removed from the bill at the end. Bit overpriced for what you are getting

We visited Canonita last week whilst on holiday in Las Vegas. We were spending the day at the Grand Canal Shoppes and wanted somewhere next to the canal where we could have some tasty food and watch the world go by. We weren’t disappointed, we were taken to our table right next to the canal and greeted by our friendly waitress who brought water with our menus. After a few minutes she came back to take our order. I had a sangria and my husband had a Corona, they were really quick to arrive. To eat we had nachos to share then I had the fajitas and hubby had a burrito. The food was hot, bursting with flavour and quick to arrive (but not so quick it was microwaved!!). I’d highly recommend Canonita for really tasty Mexican food with great views of the Venetian canal and singing gondolas!

Had dinner here and table for two sitting along side the canal. View of gondolas right in front of us. Restaurant serves wonderful Mexican fare. Had the nachos and chicken fajitas. Service was professional, friendly, fast. Food was hot, delicious. A great place inside Venetian.

We just happened to be at the the Venetian to "sight-see" and I wanted a drink. So I saw this Mexican venue. We sat at the bar and ordered some cocktails. We also got chips and salsa. Later we ordered the queso fundido and more drinks. The bartenders were so caring and treated us like royalty. Gracias a Ustedes dos, Martín y Richard! Thank you so much for all you did!

My wife and I went to Canonita recently while on vacation in Vegas. We stayed at the Venetian so primary reason we went to restaurant. The menu is very over priced. The service was best thing. Location not too bad. Very expensive for what you get - I know it is Vegas but really. The food was very average and not special. My wife got salad and most of it was lettuce. Be prepared for paying high prices for very average Mexican food.

I was excited by the description of the fajitas. Sadly, how disappointed I was. They make their own tortillas and should buy Mission tortillas at Sam's Club. They are tiny, tough, thick and basically inedible. The chips are made from the same tortillas sadly and also are inedible. The beans are basically just a can of black beans. There is no seasoning or flavor. What happened to the pinto beans of Mexico.

Wonderful food and staff at Canonita inside the Venetian in Las Vegas. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The flight of margaritas was sooooo good.

The food was excellent as well as the service. Carlos was our waiter. He was on point. We had a reservation. Portions were large and mojitos was delish. Nothing to complain about here. Don’t understand what all the gripe is about. I highly recommend it. Will definitely come back.

Had a really lovely meal at this restaurant, managed to get an outside table next to the canal and could watch the gondolas going by , Of course you are going to pay more due to location but I thought it was good value , Food was very nice , I had the beer braised short ribs and my wife had the Santa Rosa Barbacoa , both very nice with good size potions , nice drinks as well with friendly and attentive staff, would definitely go back

No reservation so we had drinks and dinner at the bar. Servers were very attentive and checked on us often but not too much. We had crab cakes and Mexican enchalidas that were fresh, hot and very tasty. Bit on the spicy side but not to much. Good place to bring the family or your best partner

We went in for lunch and had bottom mimosas, a margarita flight with a roasted rooster, jalapeño & lime and left with a Bloody Mary to go! Everything was fantastic and I would recommend hands down! Some people say that the gondola singers were annoying but you are in “Venice” and it was fine!

This restaraunt is involved in actively defrauding customers... which the manager confirmed. Good food, decent service but they will try and steal your money when the bill comes. Suggested tip percentage is wildly incorrect, eg: 18% of $46.60 is NOT $15.93. I can guarantee that if these bill discrepancies were costing them money, it would have been rectified long ago. I'll never go back.

Food was ok, not fantastic. We shared the chips and salsa to start and then Caesar salad, mahimahi and enchiladas. Mahi was good, big plates of enchiladas and plenty of chicken on the salad. However, the server wasn’t great - very slow and then disappeared for a while. The next table wanted their check and had to get up to ask for it and we wanted more drinks but by the time Alejandro came back it was too late. Disappointing

The most delicious Mexican food I have ever tasted. This was our third time here and the food has been great every time. The quesadillas, the enchiladas, fajitas...it’s all so good. And their cocktails are gorgeous too. (Go for the mojito trio!) Reasonably priced and lovely setting overlooking the canal inside.

I sat at the bar at 5 minutes til 5, bartender tells me that I am too late for happy hour that ends at 5. Seriously? Lousy customer service!!!

After stepping off the plane and checking in to the hotel, we were very hungry. Canonita was the first appealing place we saw and we were so glad we stopped! Lovely margaritas on the rocks, wonderful lunch. The tuna crudo was so yummy, too! We told them that we were there for our anniversary and they treated us to churros for dessert! Ps. They have no idea how long I’ve been hunting for a wonderful churro and they hit the mark!!! Would recommend.

Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Our family all tried various brunch menu items, burrito and egg dishes were a hit! Great coffee and bottomless mimosas, what’s not to love!

It was okay, nothing great. With all the other potential places to go in Vegas, I’d go elsewhere. Food was okay, pricey, even by Vegas standards and the service was sub-par. Had to track down our waitress ourselves several times. It is in a nice spot in the Venetian, next to the indoor canal, that was probably the highlight.

EXCELLENT FOOD!!!! EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! EVERYTHING WAS SO FRESH. OUR SERVER KIM.S WAS AMAZING! NEXT TIME WE ARE IN VEGAS WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK HERE.

This was our first time at Canonita and we really enjoyed the cuisine, “Mexico city soul food”. We went with friends and shared a couple of items: ahi tuna crudo and crispy corn flautas. The flautas were fabulous and I was hesitant to try to the ahi tuna because I don’t normally eat raw fish, but it was excellent. My husband and I shared the mushroom enchiladas and they were very flavorful. We enjoyed everything we ordered and sitting by the canal where the gondolas go by was an added bonus.

Overlooking the canal, this is a great spot for some food food and drinks! Had the street taco sampler and the oven roasted mussels and shrimp. Cannot find one thing to complain about ... also their margarita and mojito flights are worth getting! Nice size of each too!

Had a fantastic meal here on Saturday 6th whilst stopping at the Palazzo hotel. We ate at 4pm as we were going to see a show in the evening so had the lunch menu. Brilliant choice and all so fresh and tasty. They also catered for one of the party who has an intolerance. Katherine the manager was also very friendly and wanted to know that we had enjoyed our meal. Thoroughly recommend and would return again if visiting Vegas.

Shrimp Fajitas, chicken enchiladas, QUESO FUNDIDO, skinny margaritas followed by churros. Have mercy. This meal was amazing. We would order all of it again.

We enjoyed our recent dinner experience at this restaurant located in the Grand Canal Shops in the Venetian Resort and Casino. Made our reservation on Open Table a few weeks before we came to Las Vegas. We had an early dinner time as we had a show be at by 7 PM. We arrived a little early and the only negative of the evening was we waited at the hostess stand for a long time before I finally walked into the dining room to find someone. Finally a hostess saw us and then told us to wait while she sanitized the table. She took us to our table and sat us next to the canal. Was fun watching the gondolas and singing gondoliers during our time. Our server came and introduced himself and inquired if we wanted drink orders. I ordered a 9 oz Italian Pinot Grigio ($15) and my wife ordered a Dos Equis Amber ($8). Alejandro suggested appetizers. After serving our drinks he took our food orders. I ordered the tuna crudo ($16) and the Short Ribs ($27), my wife ordered the chicken enchilada ($24). Food was served quickly. The Tuna Crudo was very good, fresh tuna sliced paper thin and served with a tasty cracker bread. Entrees came in a good fashion. My wife enjoyed her enchilada, nicely garnished and I loved my short rib. The short rib was a generous portion of beef, the sauce delicious yummy and the beef fork tender. Oh, so good! Alejandro was attentive and professional, he even took our picture. He suggested dessert after our main course but we passed. I enjoyed the exhibition kitchen and watching the chefs do their job. Overall a good experience and we recommend this restaurant for Vegas dining. Alejandro should be commended for his excellent professional service and hospitality.

Stopped in for breakfast before the last day we were in town. I had the chorizo breakfast tacos. 3 came in the order and I could only finish 2.5. They were good. The side potatoes were cubbed and covered in melted cheese which was great!!

We had a group of 11 with a reservation. The restaurant was not busy, but they could not seat us next to canal. The food took about an hour to arrive after ordering. There was a variety of things ordered with our group, but overall response was "dry". The salsa was good and helped make the food tastier. Tortilla soup tasted like chili. Surprised that they charge for chips and salsa- most Mexican restaurants include it, especially with the price of these entrees. Atmosphere with canals was nice.

We enjoyed a quick lunch here. The atmosphere is fun and lively. All the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. Food was good and drinks were tasty. Overall, we thought it was a nice little lunch spot.

We ate here for dinner, Tuesday night 8-30-21. Service was pleasant and no wait time. I ordered the chicken but it was so dry I could not eat it. I am not usually writing comments but this was disappointed. Service was good John had a drink I had a soda. On the plus side they removed the dinner from the bill. Hope others enjoy themselves. Craig

I ordered chips, a fish entree and 1 glass of wine....$74 later it was a good meal but not great....there are much better Mexican places off the strip and would probably not go back to Canonita.

Same taste as home! Mexico in Vegas, absolutely🙏🏼 We had the days deal and tried it with pork and beef (Tuesday) . Excellent margaritas like Cancun’s ones!!!

We were in the mood for Mexican on our first night of arrival in Las Vegas, and so, after checking-in and freshening up, we made our way down here on the recommendation of the hotel staff. Located smack in the center of the Canal Shoppes over-looking the Canals and the Gondolas, we did expect that the food would be pricey. We ordered the Spicy BeefFlautas to be shared with the two of us for our Appetizers along with their signature Margaritas with the spicy salt on the glass rim. For the Main Course, I got the Chicken Enchiladas with Rice and Beans, and my husband got the Steamed Fish in a bowl of spicy sauce. It was a little too much food, but all our dishes were very flavorful, and arrived – cooked fresh and steaming hot – just the way we like them. The service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere was casual. We would love to come here again on our next visit to Vegas.

Stopped here for lunch. Nice setting by canal. Enjoyed our meals. Staff nice but very rushed when we were ordering. But overall nice experience.

Bills. The suggested tip amounts are not based on your actual bill and are a rip off. Make sure you tally and calculate your percentages on your own.

Good food and fabulous service from Althea (?). Carne asada tacos, chips, and guacamole were all delicious.

Good Mexican restaurant at the Venetian. We joined a party during CES and all was great, especially waiters were very kind and helpful.

Great spot, this was at least our 10th visit to this restaurant over the course of many years. The food is excellent and the menu has lots of items you don't find at most places. I'm reaaly glad to find this place still open. The staff did a good job with the Covid precautions.

We were staying in the Venetian and had a craving for Mexican food and found this restaurant among the Canal Shoppes. The brunch was great! I got the breakfast burrito without the meat and my daughter got the braised short rib chilaquiles. Both were excellent. We also got the chips and dip with guacamole. The serving was huge! The atmosphere along the canal was nice and the service was friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend.

Loved the atmosphere, good, drink and service! Our server Tia was lovely, always checking in to see if we needed anything. Flight of Margaritas was a nice touch.

We really enjoyed our experience here. We had drinks, apps and lunch. Vegetarian’s heads up - the Chile Relleno was by far the best I’ve ever had. It was crispy, spicy and delicious! I appreciate it being stuffed with more than just a pound of cheese and lathered in sauce. It felt like a substantial vegetarian meal! From the rest of the group raving reviews carne asada tacos. The chicken tinga was good but not the favorite. Chips, guacamole and salsa all around were good. The chips were substantial and could carry the weight of the chunky guac. Speciality drinks we also yummy, but pricy and to be expected on the strip. We’ll be back again!

Great atmosphere, attentive servers, and the best part is that you are able to enjoy the sound of the Gandoliers beautiful voices. Food is amazing, as well as their Traditional Mojitos.

visit their food truck! we just got served by the friendliest person. Her name was Alma and she was honestly the seller. She recommended all her favorite, she didn't care that we walked up five minutes before closing. the food and the margaritas are AMAZING!! the chicken Tinga was best (in my opinion)

Had to return margaritas for traditional beer as the classic and raspberry margaritas weren’t good. Their salad with chicken was good but there were few pieces of “marinated “ and not fresh strawberries. Server was pleasant and the atmosphere was great though as it’s right by where the gondolas pass by.

Nice surroundings within the Venetian resort, very good service, good cocktails and food. Resort prices but worth a visit

It is no secret that the Las Vegas strip has a wide array of bad restaurants, mediocre restaurants, and great restaurants. Canonita was one of the best we experienced during our stay here! We made a reservation for June 24th, on our first evening in Las Vegas. We were seated directly next to the canal, and had amazing views of the hotel. The service was extremely attentive, and was a mixture of wait staff service and concierge to make sure the meal was going smoothly. The food quality was top-notch. I took the waiter's recommendation to order the Canonito burrito, and my spouse had the enchiladas. Of course, while waiting for our food, we inspected every dish that passed by, and all looked incredible. Ours arrived to the table perfectly presented, and tasted as advertised. Online photos of the food don't seem to do it justice (it very appealing and appetizing in person). We finished the meal with the Dulce De Leche Churros, and I don't exaggerate when I say, these are probably the absolute best churros we have ever eaten! You can make a lot of bad choices, and do a lot of things that you'll with will stay in Vegas. The choice to eat here will not be one of them!

So first I want to say that I have been to alot of Mexican restaurants as well as travel to Mexico twice a year. This place was a disappointment, other then the view and a nice waiter. The salsa they provide is the most watered down salsa I have ever had, I might of been using Taco Bell hot sauce. The fajita plate was the smallest one I ever had and heck it did not even include rice and beans, the quality was fair. The margaritas are very over priced for the size you get, but it was good. They have not children's menu. I would not go here again, especially for the prices they charge for what you get.

Great atmosphere right along the “river” but sub par Mexican food. Margaritas were decent but the food was nothing special.

Eating Mexican in Venice, with the table on the bank of a canal, is quite alienating, then you remember that you are actually in Vegas and then it all adds up. However, the choice of classic Mexican dishes is quite wide, food prices are still acceptable but frankly I would avoid going on cocktails and settle for a beer, as personally $29 for a margarita seems excessive and after you will be forced to tell friends that it was exceptional.

The oxygen bar lady recommended this for lunch...yum! We both got enchiladas with green sauce and guacamole. Our table was next to the water so we could see the gondola rides. Service was great and we just loved the food.

A Mexican restaurant located in the Grand Canal shops make for a nice dining experience at Canonita... Canonita Ambiance & Servers: It's hard to distinguish that this is a Mexican restaurant as it's located by the Gondola canals in the Venetian, but that's just fine. You get an open air seating vibe with plenty of people watching available from the mall as well as the gondola passengers. I was seated and it was about 12 minutes before someone came by. I came in right when my server started her shift. Once she was here, everything was fantastic. Covid protocols were definitely in place and the social distancing was especially impressive. Canonita Lunch dishes... Chicken Tortilla soup: This soup definitely ate like a meal as it was loaded with shredded chicken and tortilla strips. The soup was savory and the bff got full from the soup alone. Chicken Quesadilla: Small in size but packed with flavor, I wanted a light lunch before our flight and this fit the bill. The quesadilla was tasty and was served with rice and beans that covered more than half the plate. The serving size is between an appetizer and a main dish with the rice and beans added. Overall, canonita is a nice place to dine in the grand canal shops. The location is fun and the dishes we sampled were flavorful. If you're feeling extra hungry during your visit, add an appetizer and all will be well Enjoy

My family took me to celebrate my birthday and everything was 100%, the attention, the place, the food. I ordered the salmon, salad cesar and it was surprisingly good along with the quinoa I loved it.

Food mediocre. Queso starter was excellent. Chicken mole was on a very poor cut of chicken.. Margaritas were way too acidic. I couldn’t taste anything in my drink because the lime juice was overpowering. Service was friendly and professional, but also very slow. Fortunately, we weren’t in a hurry. Fun, but loud, atmosphere watching the boats go by on the canal.

We stopped for drinks and snacks. This restaurant is a lovely location along the canal. We had Sangria de Rojo and Queso Fundido, both were terrific. Our server was engaging and welcoming. The only negative was that it was slow; it took a long time to get our drinks and food. The server brought them promptly when they were made. Would definitely eat and drink here again!

Beautiful spot by the canal. The food is authentic as are the staff. We enjoyed freshly made chips, complex mole, mounds of asada, perfect tomatillo sauce, agua frescas, and margaritas. Everything was perfect. You could share the plates, especially the burrito as the meat portion was generous. Amazing meal!

Good Mexican food sitting right on the canal at the Venetian. I tried the steak and shrimp fajitas. They were very good. They tasted like they make their own tortillas here but, if any complaints it would the iced tea could’ve used a lot more ice. The service was prompt when I needed anything and I would eat here again if in the area.

While the food was tasty and worth eating at, it does not rise to the top of restaurant choices on the strip. The green sauce is milder than the red sauce. The red has too much chili powder to the point that after a few bits the flavor disappears and only spicy hot remains which takes away from the enjoyment of taste. I would recommend the quesadilla and burrito over the enchiladas.

Food was ok. Nothing too amazing to talk about. Margarita was good but not worth almost $12 it was a small cup. Happy Hour is way cheaper but limited. Got a appetizer a quesadilla (do not get) kinda bland for price. Enchiladas were ok. Guacamole was good. Sat outside, view of Gondolas

Located in the beautiful Venetian Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The atmosphere to enjoy a lunch, dinner, or drink is fabulous...especially if you can get a table by the Grand Canal. You can enjoy the music of the musicians playing for the Gondola rides. The restaurant is taking all the COVID precautions: reservations only as required by NV law, staff wearing masks, socially distanced tables. Since it's Vegas....it is pricey. A late lunch for two people cost us $86 with tip. We enjoyed the guac & salsa appetizer combo ($15), caesar salad with chicken ($15), tortilla salad ($15), red sangria ($9), diet pepsi ($4.25). Yep....pricey but worth the enjoyment of the table we got, listening to the musicians and taking a break from so much walking around. The guac was fabulous...but the salads were just that....regular salads and nothing to brag about. If anything, give it a try....get an appetizer, a drink and enjoy the surrounding sounds.

We honestly chose this spot for the location-right on the canal where the gondolas ride through The Venetian. The spot and experience alone is reason enough to dine here! The food is more authentic than most Mexican fare in the states, so keep that in mind. The portions were very generous and the service was top notch.

We stopped in here just to get a quick bite. Friend really enjoyed the Tarascan Chicken Tortilla Soup. I just ordered chips and guacamole and salsa. The guacamole was delicious. Made just how I like it.

The food here was delicious. Carne asada was amazing and my husband loved the street tacos *carne asada tacos were his favorite. You have a lovely view of the indoor gondolas. The staff was so friendly too! We ate here twice! Definitely eat here and get a table near the water.

Walking around the shoppes ran across the taco truck tried the Carne asada tacos they were straight fire. The red salsa they give you I wish I had the recipe for.

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere along the "canal" and reasonably priced relative to LV. Service was a touch slow when we were there for unclear reasons (wasn't that crowded) but our waiter was nice and overall still had a nice time.

We had a great dinner. Rico took wonderful care of us. Even when the dinner party went from 2 people to 5 people! He was so helpful. The Mahi was superb. Loved the chips, quac, and salsa. Just perfect spicing.

This Mexican restaurant is good for margaritas and for its food. The cazuela was excellent with spicy taste and fresh fish and shellfish. Fruit empanadas to finish with a pineapple based margarita completed the meal.

The place is nice, due to its location, yesterday was my second time visiting it, and I didn't like the experience, to begin with they charged double for a beer when we had only ordered one, and I paid with my card in which they took the tips they wanted , without my authorization, until after checking my account I realized, so I do not recommend it, in addition to the treatment that for me yesterday was not good at all from the waitress

My husband is a VERY picky eater, so finding THE PERFECT meal in a sea of great restaurants on the strip shouldn’t be hard, right? NOPE, very difficult…add to that my intolerance for anything spicy- finding a restaurant is not fun. I have been to Canonita inside the Venetian many years ago for a girls trip, and it was delicious; but so much has happened in the world since then. We got a table right next to the canal, so nice and romantic. The service was A++. The guacamole was awesome and both me and the picky eater LOVED our meals. Me: Braised Short Rib, Him: Carne Asada tacos. The chips and salsa fantastic. I splurged and had a Virgin Pina Colada (my all time favorite beverage). Nothing against alcohol, I just think it tastes better without it.

We just wanted a simple quick meal of street tacos so we sat down and got a nice table by the "canal". It was nice watching for people watching as people toured the canal. What we did not realize was there are two menus. One for the inside restaurant and one for the food truck. We really wanted some of the tacos and other things on the food truck menu but we were already seated. They did have a four taco plate and it was really good and satisfied what we needed. The service was good too.

Great spot for tacos and margaritas with a view of the gondolas. Located in the Canal Shops area, was a little hard to find, but a fun spot once you get there. We sat outside and it was noisy, but that did not bother us. Service was good.

Went with my wife and were greeted warmly by the staff. The Venezuelan woman made the best tacos. My wife and I both enjoyed the food and will definitely go back.

Located in the Grande Canal Shoppes inside the Venetian, this proved to be a really nice little restaurant that looks out on the Gondola waterway. Prices weren’t sky high (a surprise) and our food was very very good. The chips, even at $11 with guacamole, were worth it! The burritos, in particular, were outstanding. They also have a food truck for fast eats, but we did not try it.

I tried the TARASCAN CHICKEN TORTILLA SOUP and the Smoked Chicken Quesadilla. I wasn't a big fan of the soup but the quesadilla was very good. The waitstaff were very attentive and watching the gondolas go by was interesting.

Lovely restaurant overlooking the indoor canal in the Venetian. Great guacamole, delicious tortilla salad with grilled chicken and very good chicken tacos. Service was wonderful and a really nice experience.

Comparison with Italy is not allowed, of course, but otherwise the pizza was quite ok. Service fast and friendly.

Fantastic service from Carlos. Meal was delicious, setting was lovely and we had a table overlooking the canal. My son isn’t quite on adult portions yet so I asked to share a main along with the table chips and salsa. Rather than just bringing an empty plate, it was split into two portions each presented beautifully. What superb customer service. Highly recommended.

Covid Protocols: Masks required (all Nevada) menu via QR code at the corner of the table. (They did offer a paper menu when they could see that we were have difficulty reading the app. ) On the QR site the menu is very small. Hard to read and you don’t catch everything. The server ask if we wanted chips and salsa and we all said yes. Assuming he was asking because of Covid and so they just don’t automatically bring them. He was asking though because in that small print it says they are $15 and he was trying to up sell. They charged extra for everything. review: Service was great. The view is wonderful. We were seated right along the viaduct and the gondoliers bringing boats by the whole time, it was wonderful. Except the singing. There was an opera singer at the turn around. We didn’t understand what she was singing because she was singing in Italian and the way it echoes it just simple was weird and became almost annoying. The food 🥘 was great. I strongly recommend the barbacoa. Also cocktails 🍹 by the pitcher. BIRTHDAYS: I’m a believer that EVERY restaurant should celebrate birthdays with gusto! They ask about special occasion on the phone when we made the reservation. They surprised us with churros. Wonderful. 4 out 5 simply because the expense of the chips and salsa. review:

My overall conclusion from this trip to Vegas is that the restaurants, at least in the Venetian/Palazzo, are massively overpriced. The steak and fish houses within Palazzo are engaged in open price gauging. This fun Mexican place is not. If you enjoy the cheesy/faux Venice aesthetic of the Venetian, this will also be enjoyable. I had a seat right by the "canal," and found it fun. The food was much better than at the other places I tried, although certainly not spectacular. I had chicken with mole sauce, which was basically just a piece of chicken drenched in a huge amount of sauce. A dish like this should have the sauce and chicken integrated with one another. The guacamole was fun, and the salsa was excellent. Margarita well above average. Our waiter, Ricardo, was a friendly guy and quite fine waiter. Bottom line, if you want a more affordable option that is probably better than a lot of the more expensive places, I would say this place is an excellent option.

We stumbled upon this gem while walking through The Venetian. Great drinks, food, and happy hour menu. Will definitely go back.

We were looking forward to a nice meal and relaxing ambiance only to be greeted by a rude hostess with attitude. She asked what name in a stern voice I told her and held up my phone with the name enlarged for spelling she gave me a “look” and said NAME! I told her and she took me to a table in the corner next to the shops And walked away. I asked the waiter next to me can we sit by the waterside he said I will get the hostess she can move you. As she came back she ignored us and had a chat with two other guests next to us general conversation laughing with them just before she walked away I said excuse me can we have a seat next to the waterside as there were at least 4 tables for two empty (you dont reserve a particular table) she huffed at me gave me a snotty look and snarled you will have to wait back at the front. I had enough of the attitude by then and said fine whatever and went to the front desk. We were then shown to a waterside table by a different hostess. Needless to say the service was poor she had obviously had a word with the waiter as we had our starter and half way through our main meal dumped on the table with him walking off. The food was not all that either! Disgusted

Delicious food, pretty setting, and very friendly staff. We all enjoyed our meal and even got to see a couple get engaged on a gondola that passed by. :)

3.5*. Nice location overlooking the "canal". The service was very good - 5*. The food was good, but really nothing special, and extremely overpriced, bit I suppose that is to be expected, given the location.

We had chips, salsa, and guacamole, then chicken quesadillas. It was all so good, and so much food we could have shared. We sat at a nice table right by the canal. We had great service and it was very enjoyable. We will definitely eat here again.

Tried two different types of Street Tacos from the Cañonita Taco Truck, "parked" just outside the restaurant proper (near the Venetian Grand Canal). Carnitas tacos were good, but we preferred the carne asada. They were juicy and delicious, sprinkled with red onion and cilantro. A small dollop of guacamole enhanced the flavor. The server was quick and friendly. We will return for another quick lunch!

Stopped in a bit after 9pm for their second happy hour. $5 margaritas and ordered some appetizers. Sat at the bar and had a great time. Drinks were strong, food was good and rich, and service was fantastic!!

My first time here, it was a good service and good dessert. The waitress was very attentive and provided good recommendations . The dessert was very good as well as the coffee.

Service was great and almost no wait!! Staff was very attentive..so much for your money we had to take some back to the hotel!!

Most importantly the service was excellent from the pleasant hostess to our server Jered it was very friendly and the recommendations spot on! The Jalapeño margarita is awesome & infused in-house. The appetizer Patzcvaro Duck Relleno was phenomenal! The combination of flavors was endorphin releasing. I had the intriguing take on surf-n-turf Mar Y Tierra which again was a spectacular combination of flavors on my palette. My wife enjoyed the salmon on a bed of cuscus.

We recently got married in Las Vegas. And use this restaurant to eat afterwards, the staff were fab and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing, so tasty. Would highly recommend

The chips were flaky and warm to dip into the salsa. For an appetizer you have to try the fondue cheese dip with the mini flour tortillas. Spice it up with jalapenos if you want a little kick. I ordered the chicken flautas and they did not disappoint either. Their guacamole is homemade and has a little surprising, sweet flavor. Thank you, Laura, for the churros with ice-cream that was a treat at the end and so delicious. A must when you visit Vegas.

The food was authentic and pretty good. The tacos (except the mushroom) were very good. The muscles and shrimp were tasty but did not have enough shrimp. The chorizo queso was not very good. The restaurant is located on the canal. We made a reservation and were staying at the hotel but they still sat us in the middle of the room not "river side". Walk in shoppers got better seating than us. They had no cold beer at 6:00 pm. We sat for 10-15 minutes before out server came to our table. He took our drink and food order and we next saw him when he delivered the check. I rarely pan service but all the service at this restaurant was bad, unfriendly or disinterested.

Canonita Food was Amazing! Our Server Martin is Very Hospitable, including all the staff. The Ahi Tuna Crudo is soo Delicious, the taco sampler has 5 different flavors/meat. The Buburrito is huge and very filling. I Highly Recommend this Restaurant.

There wasn't one dish that was good here. The queso appetizer was like rubber and had no taste. The main course of Mexico City enchiladas had too much flavors involved and the mole lacked any punch. We also did not like the frozen sangria. But the views of the canal and songs from the boat people were a needed bonus.

Great service and food with a view of the canal. Watching the Gondolas float by was nice. The Chicken Tortilla salad was very good and very fresh.

Service was way off. Half of red wines not available. Food and drinks slow to come out. All the food was pretty good especially chips and salsa. ONE BIG plus it is right by indoor entrance to the Sphere. It is also on the Venetian canal.

Just arrived Vegas after 30 hours of travel and off to a great start with an unexpected breakfast. Ordered ‘Steak n Eggs’ for breakfast and it was delicious. Portion not that big and right size. Super delicious and highly recommended.

We stopped here for a quick bite. The chips and salsa were good. The margaritas were very good. I had the carne asada tacos which were good, but I would’ve preferred on hard shell. My friend ordered chicken quesadilla and there was no chicken. Waiter made the mistake and asked if she wanted something else but she had already eaten most of it. He should’ve taken it off the bill since it was his mistake. Overall, decent place.

Mexican restaurant tucked away at the back of the shoppes at the Venetian. Amazing. They really looked after us. Great food. And service.

Stopped in while staying at the Venetian, had chips, salsa and guacamole. I had a classic margarita, my husband got the margarita flight, very good! Then we got the taco sampler. Which was also good, the chips were warm and everything was as very good and fresh.

Our appetizers and chicken enchiladas were all great! The server was efficient and friendly. The view is great as the gondolas go by. Make sure you enjoy their chips and cheese dips. Enjoyable evening.

The atmosphere is great, especially if you're lucky enough to sit where you can see the canal inside The Venetian. We ordered salads and both were pretty good. The drinks were good as well and service good.

Phenomenal authentic Mexican cuisine in the Venetian for a reasonable price! The chef is able to deliver elevated flavors inspired by his time in Mexico City. My family ate here on vacation and enjoyed everything we had, but some notable items included the braised short rib dish and the enchiladas which were a delight. Our server was very friendly and food was delivered with plenty of time for us to make it to our concert after. If you are in the Venetian, Canonita is a very wise choice.

I’ve been here twice in two months aince they opened up after Covid shut down. They really have good food and drinks. Staff are always friendly and attentive. I always get the tacos sampler and margaritas. While we enjoy the scrumptous food and savor the drinks, we also enjoy the gondolas passing by. Highly recommended when you’re strolling through the Venetian shops

My husband and I sat at the bar for an early dinner, as we had flown in from the east coast earlier and wanted an early night. We had a pitcher of margaritas that were delicious. Sitting at the bar allowed us to see the staff extracting juice from hundreds of limes with a special machine - they must go through thousands of limes per day! We talked to the staff about it, and it was clear that they all took pride in the fresh ingredients that go into every dish. The guacamole was fantastic, and we split a five-taco sampler that we really enjoyed. Service at the bar was great. Giving it five stars because the whole experience was so pleasant. Would definitely recommend for a casual lunch or dinner by the canal at the Venetian.

Worst experience of the week waited over 30 minutes for drinks. Othe tables received service before us and sat after us.Never got the food we ordered and not busy at all. Definitely not a repeat visit

Our waiter was great but the food was not good. A couple people got sick from the food or drinks. I would pick another spot.

Very high quality Mexican food. I had the house margarita which was good and the chicken "Mexican Enchiladas" which were falvorful and appealing. The black beans were good and a much better side than the usual refried beans you get at Tex-Mex restaurants. Surprisingly good was the rice which was green and flavored with cilantro. Very good. I sat at the bar and despite a large workload on the bartender, I received good service. The restaurant also provides a nice view of the Grand Canal

WE were looking for a spot for breakfast. This is upstairs from the main casino floor, right off the canal. It was quiet, calm, clean and the food was delicious. WE got breakfast tacos. They were good but the star of the meal was the roast potatoes with cheese on them. The best part?? I left my credit card and they found it, held it and got it back to me. I'm in their debt!!!

Great restaurant with good vegetarian options in the Venetian Canal Shops overlooking the turnaround spot for the gondolas. The gondolas usually will sing nearby making this a wonderful spot to eat. It's always crowded which is a good sign that the food is really good. If you want good spot, you may need to reserve. We couldn't get our preferred seat, but still enjoyed. Great service.

Excellent food!!! Excellent Service. My wife and I dinedd here for lunch after visiting the Canyon Ranch Spa in the Venetian. We had a delicious meal. The hard part is not loading up on the chips and salsa before you entrees arrive. They serve the best and most unigue chips I have ever had. Our server Juliette was friendly, helpful, and prompt. We sat outside with a view of the gondolas. I know it is not really outside, but it sure feels like it. Finding a good meal in Vegas without doind a bunch of research is a gamble. We have been to Canonita twice over two years and were very happy on both visits. Well Done Canonita!!!

Cool ambiance Food was excellent, even what they made for the kids A bit pricey for chips and guacamole Our service was awesome in the beginning, but our table got neglected in the middle with zero refills for the kids' drinks (which were pricey), and dirty dishes not taken away until we had to ask for the bill.... All in all, we went for the food and atmosphere and we would go back

Didn’t enjoyed the food at all As well as the alcohol For a chef restaurant in such a location Not worth it! Search for another Mexican restaurant

Have visited this restaurant for 10+ years. The short ribs used to be delicious. Disappointed this last time because the short ribs were nothing more than a shoulder roast - tough stringy and dry. No doubt about it. Kinda irks me that restaurants think they can get away with fraudulent food. I spoke with the manager who honestly doesn’t know the difference in meat cuts. The waitress came back later and said the meat looked different than what they normally serve, so she was suspicious too. This is not the first restaurant this has happened. I’m not usually picky m, but when the obvious jumps off the plate at you......

Great service, setting, ambience. 3 stars is only because of the very average food. Ceviche was really bland, very chunky and tasteless. The quesadilla was ok and the taco sampler was decent. The best probably was the Enchiladas. But overall our whole group was a bit disappointed with the quality of food and were expecting more.

We had a Monday night supper here. After having buffet for breakfast and sitting by the pool all day, we wanted something relatively simple for dinner. I craved Mexican food so I booked a table on OpenTable. We walked through the Shoppes and arrived at the restaurant. After being seated we looked at the menu. The server came over to take our order but did not really make any suggestions about what dishes might be a "go-to" for us that night. For appies we had Queso Fundido and the Crab & Shrimp cakes. Both were good serving sizes and quite tasty. We had also ordered the chips with guac. The guac was good but $11. Seems a little steep for a fast casual type restaurant. For mains, the ladies had the burritos while my friend had the enchiladas. I went with the Cabo Ahi Tuna. They were good sized plated dishes and quite delicious. I had the Nieves for dessert while everyone else passed. All-in-all, Canonita was a quick and satisfying meal. If you're looking for some quality Mexican in the Venetian, hit this place up. Dinner for 4 with tip but no alcohol - $225

We had a wonderful dinner tonight at Canonita. I had the flautas and my husband had the mole poblano. Both were so good! Our server, Rico, was fabulous! So personable and efficient! Hope we come back soon!

Canonita has delicious drinks for just $5 at happy hour. These were creative and with nice ingredients, not your normal watered down hh choices. It's on the "canal" in the Grand Canal, so nice view. We ordered a wonderful appetizer - Pátzcuaro Duck Relleno. It was complex and tasty. Very impressive Mexican food. We didn't have a chance to make it back for a full meal, but hope to on another visit.

Wow, not only does this restaurant have an outstanding view of the canal, their food is fantastic!! I had the flautas and an order of crab cakes. I could've gotten by with just ordering the crab cakes but the flautas were calling my name! Great atmosphere and even better food! The service was outstanding!

Canonita used to be a different name but fortunately the same head chef runs the place . First off the location is perfect . The prices are moderate but compared to Mesa grill , a steal , and the food is authentic Mexico City food , not Tex mex or southwest mex style . The mussels with shrimp and chorizo was absolute killer , and the Chile relleno stuffed with duck confit simply out of this world . Margaritas were top notch ,especially the jalapeño margi . Our server Rico was the best , very attentive , my hats offf to this place , still one of my must go to places , especially without breaking the bank, in Vegas

We wanted a special dinner and started walking through the venetian with no direction. We came into this beautiful area where the ceiling was like the sky and the river and gondolas ran through. There was a three piece string playing in the court. We saw the Canonita with sidewalk like dining. We didn’t have reservations but it was Thursday evening and we were easily seated. The menu was a bit pricey but its Vegas and the Venetian so not surprised. I had a fillet that melted in my mouth and perfect portion. My bf had lobster stuffed ravioli that was delicious. We had some bread with dinner that was soft and airy. The service was great. Friendly servers and explained and answered questions. It wasn’t quick service but was as expected for a beautiful place and we were not in a hurry. We really enjoyed eating here and could pretend we were in Venice.

While staying @ Venetian we had lunch @ Canonita. We ordered tacos to share & they were yummy. Chips/Salad were just as yummy. Food was expense. Do recommend the yummy tacos.

I went to this place, located in the Venetian hotel, on the recommendation of my Lyft driver. Dining is a tricky prospect in Vegas: food is expensive and generally not great quality, because pretty much everything on the Strip is owned by MGM and they tend to make everything as bland as possible so as to offend the smallest number of people. Trouble is, I find bland offensive! Canonita isn't bad, it's just mediocre. And expensive. Cocktails are thrown together from big vats of pre-mixed ingredients, and nothing really elevates the cooking. I had mushroom enchiladas, for the astonishing sum of $22, approximately twice what you'd pay in a decent local restaurant in your home town.

We had reservations; even though there were empty tables and no walk-ins waiting, there was some confusion and delay seating us. Things go markedly better after we were seated, as the service was very good andwe enjoyed our food. I enjoyed the margarita flight. We would go back to this restaurant if in the area.

How Reviews Work 5 Stars - Best ever on all experiences. 4 Stars - Best In the area. 3 Stars - Above Average. 2 Stars - Average or maybe a little lower. 1 Star - Below Average. 0 Stars - Terrible to even gross. What a great spot to people watch. We stopped here for lunch. We had reservations and were seated right away. Service 3.5 Stars - Our server was kind and tentative. Food - 3 Stars. I had fajitas. The chicken was dry and the beef was fatty and chewy. The chips and salsa were just OK. The chips tasted stale. The portions were large. Atmosphere - 4 stars - Great place to people watch. With an average score of 3.5 we will definitely visit again!

This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. The food is really good and reasonably priced. This is the kind of place I continue to come back to just because it’s so good.

My first time dining at Canonita in Las Vegas, and it was incredible. The food was outstanding, the service impeccable, and the ambience chic yet welcoming. Family-friendly vibe, perfect for relaxing — whether with loved ones or on a date. I’ll definitely be back!

When they say authentic they mean authentic Mexican food. Just hands down really great Mexican food. The waitress we had was awesome. Great view and experience next to the gondola River.

This was a fun place. We had a seat right on the raining watching the boats go through the canal. My husband and I each ordered a margarita flight which included a classic, a pineapple and a jalapeño margarita. Surprisingly we both liked the jalapeño one best! Chips and salsa were good, but they do charge for them. I had a bbq pork meal with cilantro rice. It was good, but the cilantro was a little overpowering. My husband had the mahi-mahi which was actually served in a broth. He wasn’t a big fan of it. We did like the atmosphere and margaritas, but the food was just ok for us,

Cañonita, Mexican restaurant inside the Venice casino and hotel. Seated next to the “grand canal” hearing the gondola people singing their songs while cruising their customers. This Mexican city soul food restaurant is bringing tasteful food. We had crab cakes and they were amazing tasteful. We were not able to make a photo of the cakes because we ate them fast. The lunch meal was burritos chicken and one with shrimp. Both tasted well and it fills like crazy. Combined with the beans and rice it was a wonderful lunch. Thanks to our beautiful waitress it became a total nice experience. We would recommend this place if you are craving for some nice Mexican food.

We went here before an Eagles concert at the Sphere. Geographically very desirable to that venue and an option that isnt over the top pricey by Vegas standards. The service was great - really friendly waiter. Sat overlooking the canal. The food… disappointing. Lacked any real Mexican flavor and spices. It wasnt bad but it wasnt good either. Not sure we would go again unless for a pre concert dinner.

If you come ask for Rico he is the best have a margarita and rest the food is amazing thanks Rico for a great time

Stopped by as a solo diner for lunch…on a Monday. My take: 1. Seated quickly and promptly met by my server. Pleasant gentleman who assisted with my order and made recommendations for a margarita. 2. The food was good, but nothing special. It’s what I would expect from any mid-tier Mexican restaurant. 3. Where things fell down was in service. Once my food was delivered I did not see my server again until I flagged him down for the check. No ask if my Food was okay. No ask if I wanted another $20 margarita. Nothing. I get I’m a single diner, but that does not mean I should receive no service. Very disappointing.

29 minute wait for any greet is not acceptable ANYWHERE... Would have been 1 star if not for the view.. food was acceptable but not above average by any means

We went for four people for breakfast the food was quite average. Entrees were about $15 each, not that bed for a Venetian restaurant.

We had a wonderful meal here! Food was was amazing... over the top service .. must stop when Vegas. Tacos was amazing

Beautiful setting on the Grand Canal inside the Venetian, we stopped in for a late dinner. We tried the ahi tuna crudo, the ahi tuna ceviche (we were in an ahi mood), and the five taco sampler with steak, chicken, and pork on their homemade corn tortillas. Both tuna dishes were great, lots of flavor and very fresh fish. I wish they had served these with tortilla chips instead of the relatively bland crackers. The tacos were all very good, flavorful and juicy. It's hard to choose where to eat in a Vegas hotel because of so many options, but this one's setting and good food makes it worthwhile.

Lovely location on the canal - staff are very friendly and Arminian good. We sat and listened to the violist every time a gondola pulled up. We had happy hour drinks at 3pm and got free chips and dip. I didn’t like the soup - too bean thick like a tamale but they took it off the bill so fair enough, I probably just ordered the wrong thing. The staff couldn’t be friendlier.

Amazing place tasty food good atmosphere, the drinks are cheap and really tasty , tacos are great and you’ll get a nice view of the canal if you sit outside

We were looking for a place to sit down for breakfast and the restaurants on the casino level were too loud and smokey. Customer service recommended the Canonita and were enjoyed a relaxing breakfast along the canal. The pancakes, cheese potatoes and breakfast burrito were very good. We left full and ready to explore Vegas.

Our waiter Rico was great. I started with a margarita and my husband ordered the margarita flight. The jalapeno margarita was my favourite. We tried the Pork posole soup and it was very tasty. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and my husband had the tacos. All was very good and we ended our meal with the churros which were so delicious.

We stopped at the Cañonita while on our recent trip to Vegas. Although I'm not a big Mexican food person, my wife and I decided to try the Cañonita due to all if the positive reviews we had read about the place. Bartender Dan suggested the Oven Roasted Mussels and Shrimp along with the Cañonita margarita. My wife ordered the Churros con cajeta. WOW!! The Mussels and Shrimp was honestly one the the best shareables I have EVER had...PERIOD!! The smokey taste was so flavorful and unexpected. I savored every last bite. The margarita was the freshest and best I have ever had! The Churros were crisp and fresh. Dare I say my wife had to hold her ground from me trying to share her treasure. Dan hit it out of the park with his suggestions and professionalism. Great guy...he is a star in the Vegas bartender scene!!! We can't wait to go back!

We arrived in Vegas late in the evening and I wanted to have their food again. It was one of the last dining experiences that I had on my last visit and the food was so good that I said I had to return on my next visit. We were traveling during the week which was great and reduced crowds. I believe the manager was also our host and his recommendations for the flautist did not disappoint. My daughter and her friend received a night cap. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. Will definitely return again. I wish there was one in my neck of the woods. Until next time.

Had dinner before a concert at the hotel. Menu was varied and had a mix of traditional and unique items. Food was fresh, well prepared, and served in a reasonable amount of time. Would go back!

I went there with my family two times when we were in las veg , in first time we didn’t have reservation but it’s manager “a nice woman” prepare a table for us in a good place , our server was a girl she was nice too but she forgot some of our orders but another server “ a gentleman “ came and did everything for us , we really had a good night so we decided to go there another night for my cousin birthday, we had a reservation they were so nice our table was in a good place the foods were perfect the prices were reasonable , everything was perfect but at that night our servers made us unhappy 🙁 she forgot everything, our appetizer was bring for us after main course without any knife fork and napkin , and this was while she was in the back and is speaking with her friends. But in total we had a good night , and she brought a churros with candle for my cousin’s birthday and we were so thankful

It oversees the canal so its pretty. The food was nothing super special, but the agua de horchata was great and the service too.

One of my go to’s in Vegas. A favorite birthday celebration spot or just in general for great and authentic Mexican food, nice atmosphere and very good service.

Stop here on every visit. Food is amazing and the service is first class all the way!! Annaliza was absolutely amazing, some of the most impressive service we have ever received, highly recommend!!

Restaurant looked good as we walked past. Decided to go in for dinner. Took ages to take our drinks order and even longer for them to arrive. Eventually managed to place a food order. Unfortunately the appetiser and main course entree were delivered to our table at the same time. Placed another drink order which never arrived. By the time we finished the appetiser, the entrees were cold and inedible. The entrees were removed from the check when we complained.

I go here for lunch, I had no idea they did breakfast! I stayed at the Venetian for a night & saw this place opened at 8am, so my mother & I had gone for breakfast. It was quiet but had diners in the morning. Pretty good breakfast although I loved their potatoes. Yum! Really good and the waiter was very attentive.

One of our favorite spots in Vegas, particularly for the mussels, chorizo, tequila appetizer. Spectacular service by Alex.

By far one of the best Mexican restaurants in Las Vegas. By that, I mean real Mexican food not Tex Mex or Cal Mex. The ambient and location are worth the visit. The food was high quality with originality and presentation.

As a reward to myself for walking 12,500++ steps, we stopped at this cute & colorful restaurant for a cocktail. We got seated in the patio with a canal-front view of the gondolas coming and going under the faux blue skies of the Venetian/ Palazzo Grand Canal Shoppes. There was a violinist playing and a gondolier singing while maneuvering a tight U. My “drink” plan quickly turned to a meal with horchata. Beer-Braised Short Rib ($27) Very tender plop of meat atop a filling and tasty mushroom hominy (grits-ish). Crispy shoestring onions completed the “look”. It’s okkkkk, nothing outstanding to really rave about.... Beef Enchilada ($26) Hubs enjoyed his meal and welcomed the cilantro rice versus the usual yellow rice + black beans combo. So-so .... Canonita isn’t great yet it isn’t bad either. This is not your typical taqueria that serve comp chips and salsa. It is rather pricey but hey a) you’re in Vegas and b) just think you’re paying a cover charge for the gondola and violin show. I’m filing this under “ambience is better than the food” category. We went to the beautiful restaurant in the Venetian during our trip to Las Vegas. You are right on the canal and the atmosphere is amazing. The food is tasty with very big servings. The overall value for all items is very good.

Like everything else in Vegas, my lunch was over-priced but given the quality of the food & the portions, it wasn't as bitter a pill to swallow as some of the other restaurants. Would eat here again. Good drinks too.

Very sweet and airy Mexican tiled ambiance right on the indoor “canal” at The Venetian. The menu is not your typical long list of Mexican dishes, but rather a good number of carefully chosen items that all look delicious. We had the five taco appetizer- wow! Each one was wonderful. From the sample, the beef, pork, chicken, fish and vegetable were fabulous. Each would make a great entree. If you like tuna, the tuna entree was fantastic. Not a usual item at a Mexican restaurant. We also loved the margaritas. Try the the Margarita “flight”- you get to choose three! Service was excellent. Friendly, helpful and efficient without being overbearing. And again, save room for those churros! Yum!

In addition to the restaurant being beautiful and making you feel like you are in Venice, the food is wonderful. It's Mexican with different foods - we ordered a grilled shrimp and mussels starter which was unforgettable, with a spicy sauce. For my dish, I got an incredible seafood cazuela too!! The buriti was good, but then it loses its edge. It was really worth the visit, I felt like I was in Venice eating Mexican/Thai food
It was a waste of my time the food was fire but the service was poor expected more
The servers what’s the worst we’ve had in Vegas had a reservation but couldn’t get our table was told to wait and no one ever calls finally went back and they had an open table and Sadis the food was OK Rihanna five the service was a one out of five ordered water three times and never got it I would not recommend this place
