Great Schtick

By magicandbird |

This place was really cool. Love the schtick of the speakeasy and the hidden door. Only issue is the waiting area to get in was small and not air conditioned. Once inside, the restaurant is dimly lit to continue building on the brand. The had lounge singers going the whole time we were there. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. One word of note is that the food is served family style so either come extremely hungry or be prepared to share. The meatballs were fabulous and the cannoli's were some of the best I have ever had.

Disappointed guests...

By Candice P |

We have been going here for 10 years my husband brought me here for my birthday one year and we fell in love with the place. We have brought friends and family here over the years and we have never had any complaints....until tonight March 21 2022. We got seated and looked at the menu and noticed our favorite dish was missing. It was chefs sleeps with the fishes. It was awesome. The waiter said they redid the menu..me and my husband were so bummed. We looked at the menu and tried to find something else. We had 6 other people with us tonight. 3 had the veal marsala and veal something else. All 3 veal meals were tough and hard to eat. I and my brother-in-law had a spicy penne or fettuccine dish that wasn't spicy at all until we added red chili flakes to it. The waiter didn't seem to care to much he just said he was surprised as much as we were about the menu change. My husband went to talk to the manager.. I hope he had more influence work her.. unless they bring back the meal we like and change the way we were treated they won't be getting our business again. And I tell everyone I know and then some about the experience we both will not be back to the place we used to love.....

Everything excellent!

My best friend took me here for my 75th birthday. The lasagna was the best I’ve ever ever had!!!!!!!!!! Great service, great entertainment, we will go back.

Unique experience.

By Lindie G |

Good shrimp scampi. They could’ve given more pasta because there was a lot of juice. It is homemade pasta, which is very good. We had reservations And arrived first, but we went to the back of the building. The entrance is where the black door and the red c is painted on the door. But our Uber driver dropped us off at the back. We were knocking on the door when another couple arrived and a party of four when we all realize we had to go around the building it was unfortunate but they all hurry to the front door and didn’t allow us to go in first. the couple that cut us off actually got the full experience of knocking on the door and the guy answering through the little hole. We had a show that evening unfortunately they sat everybody else except us and asked if we could wait 15 minutes I then explained that we had a show so then the meter D told us he’d see us , I noticed that couple who cut us off was in the nice booth. I mentioned to him it was unfortunate that they cut us off because we would’ve gotten that booth instead of the table right near the kitchen. I’m not sure if he was playing the role but he mentioned $100 tip. We didn’t comment and he saw us at the table by the kitchen. We have front row seats for the singer who was really good playing Frank Sinatra Dean Martin type of music. It is a dark place, but we expected that. It’s very unique. we had their arugula salad as an appetizer. We’re glad we went to this restaurant. They were really busy. It was just unfortunate that we had to experience being seated last when we were first. I wonder if They really did tip them $100 or was he kidding. Our waiter had a nice personality and kept using the phrase. Forget about it whenever he came to our table. If you’re taking in a show, make sure you give yourself enough time and just stay on the servers so that they could get you your check and everything so you won’t be late. It is off the strip, but it’s not that far. We noticed some people were dressed as the roaring 20s And they told me they were just dressing up for fun and some of them we’re going to 20s style bar later as well

Not Customer Friendly

By ChopperBenny |

Everything great except they were more concerned with having a loud hockey game on tv and when we asked to move so we could hear the entertainment, they said no. That the bar people were regulars and wanted the game on. Will not return

A perrrfect meal!

By stitcher1951 |

Ambiance: dark and cozy Service: attentive, friendly and efficient Vocalist: beautiful voice Bread: amazing Meat balls: good and just a little bit spicy My son had lasagne and he loved loved it His fiancé had chicken lucchese and she said it was amazing. She raved about the mushroom risotto as well My husband had the chicken marsala also with the risotto. He said there was not one thing he would change and he too loved the risotto I had the lobster ravioli with a 7 oz lobster tail and it was so good We are so glad we went to this speakeasy EVERYTHING wa worth bragging about! We will definitely return.

Fantastic place!

By Arkansas_Family |

Amazing place! Environment is incredible, a true speakeasy feel with Sinatra songs love throughout the evening. Food is incredible, portions are enormous though and each person must order their own entree. I get the purpose but I hate wasting food and, being from out of town, a lot was left. I’d like some way to not waste so much. Several different appetizers and several different entrees were ordered at our table and everyone raved about each. Creme brûlée for dessert was amazing! My wife had pistachio gelato, also fantastic. Highly recommend this place….we’re we locals we would be here regularly.

Fun mob vibe restaurant

By mjl482017 |

My first time here. I have mixed reviews. The entire experience from the moment you walk in is fun! Loved the dark lighting, atmosphere, even the rude guy who let us in. The singer was very talented but I would've loved more songs from the rat pack era to go with the theme. There was a magician who came to our table who was great! I still cannot figure out how he did the card tricks that he did! Drinks were standard. Nothing special, they just gave them "themed" names on menu. I ordered the lasagna and was underwhelmed. I expected to wowed based on other reviews. The sauce was way too sweet. Probably my fault for ordering. I believe the sauce description was on the menu. Maybe I just have a different palate. We also had a photograher take some table photos (for a fee of course) The photos surprisingly were great! Yes, we bought them. Overall I would recommend a visit! Fun place and great atmosphere. I guess my parting words would be that maybe the host should lose the mob shtick as patrons leave. Getting slapped on the back and yelled at "not to come back" might not be good for return business.

Capo's Is Always a Great Las Vegas Event!!

By Tracey C |

We have been here many times and it never disappoints!! Chicago Tommy, Vinnie and the rest of the staff are awesome and play their parts very well!! The food is always exceptional and the entertainment is the perfect ambiance, as well!! Great job!!

Whats the password

By IrishRover |

When you arrive you will find the building in a normal strip mall with no visible windows. You walk into a shabby sparse lobby and that is when your dinner begins You are transported back in time to an old school Italian Speakeasy. The menu is great, service is excellent and the experince is fantastci. Start with the meatball appitizer. you cant go wrong with anything on the menu and enjoy

An amazing meal and experience!!!

By Sightsee476856 |

Some of the best Italian food I've ever had!! The atmosphere really makes you feel like you're in a speakeasy. The service was wonderful and the live music added to the experience. We'll be back!!

Excellent accross the board

By Charles T |

Have been here before thanks to a local friends suggestion. Great Atmosphere. Very Dark - menu's have little lights so you can read it. Gotta have a reservation. This was a Friday and the place was packed. Above average entertainment - a Frank Sinatra like crooner and then a young lady with some pipes. Drinks were strong. Both had the Spaghetti and Meatball. 100%. Sauce was perfect, the spaghetti was cooked perfectly, the meatball is very good - spicy and huge. waiter gave enough attentiveness without being overbearing. The place is not cheap but to me it has been worth it the two times we have been there. Will be in Vegas in 3 months and we'll be there.

Disappointed

By JudyKaye0610 |

Totally disappointed. Although we had reservations the restaurant wasn’t prepared for our party. We were put in what appeared to be a dark storage area. Dirty silverware. Place settings inadequate. No one loved the food. When I went to the restroom I heard the singer….. in the main room doing modern stuff which didn’t fit the speakeasy atmosphere. Won’t go back.

Called My Girlfriend a B**** – No Excuse

By Riley S |

This is the second time I've been here. First time they overcooked my shrimp scampi, but it was near the end of their shift, so I decided to give them another shot. My girlfriend arrived at the restaurant a bit before me and was seated at the bar while waiting. When I got there, the person in the hat who greeted me at the door referred to her using an extremely inappropriate and offensive term. I was so shocked, I asked him to repeat himself and unbelievably he said it again. The situation nearly escalated until he repeatedly apologized, but it had already ruined the night. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially when it forces a customer into a confrontational position. While I don't take issue with staff using casual language, using profane language when referring to a guest is completely unacceptable and must be addressed IMMEDIATELY. I won't stop sharing my experience and reaching out to this establishment until the situation is properly acknowledged and resolved. I will never return and never recommend this horrible, janky, fake mob, not far off from a Bojangle restaurant to anyone!! But I may just keep my opinion to myself if they MAN UP and contact me back. Look them up on Bar rescue and you'll see for yourself how the owners run this discussing dirty establishment. They haven't changed and trust what you see in the show, the lights are low to cover up their lack for cleaning.

Speakeasy Door Man - Rude towards women, dropping f-bombs to them, really?

By Jay R. |

Live entertainment was great, Service was good, Food was okay, Door Man sealed the deal to never go back again. As a "first time" group to this establishment, the Door Man / "Host" was unprofessional and demeaning. What gives anybody the right to use abusive language to women patrons who don't know the door "routine". As an Italian with NY and Chicago roots, it's all about respect.

Can't say enough about this place.

By New Mexican Texan |

Did I just walk into the set of Goodfellas?! Way cool environment. Low light, great live music and the food was delicioso! The meatballs can't be beat. A must for us on every Vegas trip.

Favorite Place In Vegas

By Ron J |

Great night out! Definitely go here if you want great food, live entertainment and awesome service. From the minute we walked in the Maitre D took care of everything. We sat at the bar for a drink and the bartenders were knowledgeable about the menu, shared recommendations and were super helpful. We got our seats right by the guy singing. He’s fantastic! Anything you want he can do and you feel like you’re back in the 30’s at an old club… it’s a great time! But the food is the main thing, it’s amazing! Open kitchen, so you can see them working and smell everything as it’s cooking. The service is top notch. They actually want to make your experience as good as possible. Capos is well worth a short drive off the strip, you will have a great time!

$40 fee to get a table

By Ben M |

Have been going to capos for the last ten years with nothin but amazing experiences. However this time I was charged $40 as a tip to get a table. Will never be going back to this place. Complete scam for $40. Worst part Is the manager ziggy was the one who charged the $40. No morals and completely unethical.

A "Must Go To Place"

By Richard K |

Go for the experience, but enjoy the great food. This is a gangster themed speakeasy bar and restaurant. From the secret entrance to the subdued lighting, crushed red velvet wall paper and red leather booths, this place oozes atmosphere. All of the food including the noodles appear to be homemade. The menu was extensive and filled with a wide variety of Italian dishes. The food came out fast. It was very very good and the portions were very large. The price is slightly higher than a "normal" italian food place, but well worth the money. We will be back next time we are in Vegas.

Awesome

Awesome atmosphere, great music, delicious food, and Wayne the magician was awesome!! We come here every time visit Vegas

Fun Atmosphere and Delicious Food/Drinks

By Gina S |

What a fun experience from the moment we arrived! This hidden gem was one of the highlights of our Vegas Trip! We arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation. We were “greeted” through the peep hole door and husband gave an approving password, so we were seated within minutes of arriving. We had a great view of the talented and beautiful singer. Our drinks (lemon drop blueberry, Long Island and old fashions) and food (lasagne, steak, fettuccine, and Tiramisu) were absolutely amazing. Husband and I spent approximately 2 hours enjoying the food, drinks, entertainment, and atmosphere! Our total bill was approximately $175 for the two of us, but we went all out and had several drinks each and even had dessert (which we never do)…I highly recommend!!! (Make reservations)

Absolute best!

By Lori G |

Ring the bell, and they will let you in. Your eyes will need to adjust to the dark room. It's a great atmosphere and there was a lady singing on stage, which was a plus. The food and service is out of this world. This is a must go to place. It's off the strip, but well worth the short drive.

Amazing!!!

By ed s |

From the second we entered the secret door until we left, all service was top notch. Everyone's food arrived quickly and cooked perfectly.

Storage closet experience

By Adamryan2 |

Went there for my boys birthday- we were sat in a room that looked to be a storage room for extra chairs and tables. Only four squished tables in the room. Only one other table with people it was not a speak easy experience. Food great as always but it literally was a storage room - we had to walk thru where the servers go. I was completely taken back. We should’ve sat in the parking lot because there was no experience of a speak easy in that room.

Skip the Strip & Eat Here

By James M |

I don't get to Capo's often, but I always enjoy it when I do. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is what counts. The staff is on point, the food is delicious and the portions are ample. The ambiance and entertainment is great. We were in town for a convention and my boss wanted a team meal at another Italian place that couldn't get us in until 9:30PM. I called Capo's and they had a table for 15 ready for us at 5:30PM- simply awesome!

Old world flair - great experience

By Jason L |

First time to Capos and it was fantastic. We arrived around 9:00. The atmosphere is great. They had a lounge singer named Sage on stage. She's great. The restaurant is dimly lit. To me, this was an overall experience, not just a meal. The host set the tone as we entered and were taken to our table. The meal was delicious. We had sausage and peppers and cheese bread for appetizers. Both were amazing. Their sauce is extremely flavorful. We then split lasagna, chicken Parmesan and a pasta and seafood dish. Everything was cooked perfectly. I visit Las Vegas once a year and have always meant to go. Going forward, I will not go without a trip to Capos. I can't wait to go back.

Older place , off the beaten track with delicious food

By CarolinaDreamer1 |

This was off the beaten track , recommended by a friend. At first glance looks to be a bit of a hole in the wall , older place ..nothing fancy , but the food was delicious old world Italian .. definitely try the meatballs!! Cute mob theme with funny waiters who did magic tricks for us .. don’t forget dessert it was delicious too

Wonderful but sticker shock on the price of the martinis!!

By Adventure24954327374 |

Capos is such a fun place. I love the speakeasy vibe and the entertainment is really fun. The food is amazing!! The only thing I must say is that I feel the prices for the alcoholic drinks are out of line. My friend got a dirty martini and it was $24.00 . That is a lot money for just a martini. When I go back there I think I will pass on the drinks.

Disappointing

By Mark L |

Last visit 5 years ago, this place was amazing. Now, in 2022 it’s a complete disappointment. The ambiance and entertainment was good but server was condescending, didn’t listen and generally poor. The food 5 years ago was amazing, now it’s average at best. Such a disappointment for us as we were celebrating our anniversary. Won’t return again.

Great evening, good food and fun

By Andrea B |

Super cool ambience. Food was amazing, try the meatballs and add some Ricotta with them. Live music and a great side table magician Wayne.

One of the worst dining experiences I had in Vegas.

By fitopardo |

w at it, the first thing we kind of wanted a better table (they gave us the worst of the place because we did not had a reservation) I saw the nicest tables they were not used for the whole 2 hours we were on the restaurant, so that bs about having a reservation is a strange thing, we were unattended for at least 30 minutes, we were just about to leave, when a nice lady came out and asked us how we were doing but it passed a long time, after we order, the food came out at least 30 minutes after, I found the service super slow, but probably was because we got the worst table of the place because we did not had a reservation, this one is the worst way possible to treat new clients, I really felt like an outsider entering a capo’s place and the bad gut to note that I was a no body left me in the worst possible table, I am guessing is a way to threat clients as the worst way possible like a mafia guy will threat you if you don’t reserve, but for me it just make me not to want to get back in that place. This is my bad experience be advised.

Fantastic experience!

By Laura E |

My son almost insisted we try Capo’s. We were so glad we went even though it was a $20 Uber ride out there. It was worth every penny and more! It was truly an excellent evening from the fun, decor, entertainment😜, and oh my oh my, the food was so good! We shared the meatball and peppers with red sauce and Caesar salad. Nice and spicy on the pepper sauce which we both loved, the meatball was wonderful, and the best Caesar I’ve had at a restaurant in quite a while (I’m a salad snob because I make good salads)! Many times I rate a restaurant by their salads and Capo’s was over the top! The icing on the cake was the superb service! We were glad we got there for an early dinner at 5p -(make a reservation!!!) because the place was packed by the time we left! Thank you so much, CAPO’s!!!😊

Great food, bring ear plugs

By Navigator03967698262 |

Decided to try these guys out with some friends. Great food, fantastic atmosphere topped off with great staff. Id have given it a 5 star if I didn't have to ask my waiter to repeat himself a bunch. They had a live singer which was neat but they were SO FREAKING LOUD. There is so much effort put into the space it was really irritating that i had to yell the whole time just to be heard. Will give them a try again in a month or two. Hopefully they will have fixed their pa or fired that singer..

Try another restaurant!!

By 287annie |

Used to be a favorite but food quality has declined. Entertaining but felt like we were being hustled by the guy trying to seat us for a tip!! If ur going to try and charge for certain tables, please let your customers know on the reservation website!!

One of the Best ever

By Mark A |

My wife and 6 friends ate here. We are all 55 to 60 years old. Reservation at 7 o'clock. No waiting and seated promptly. Drink order done in 5 minutes. Meal order done in 10 minutes. Meals at table in 20 minutes. Portions are huge. Everyone had something different. Each meal was outstanding. This is an old school theme restaurant. Dim lights, table, booths. They had a stage singer who was an old school crooner. Amazing, simply amazing

Go to Capo’s When You’re in Vegas!

By Karen82655 |

Go off the strip one night and eat at Capo’s. It is an experience you won’t find in your hometown. Can’t say more, don’t want to spoil it for you. I will say that the food and service was excellent. And they have a singer while you are dining. Make reservations early so you don’t miss out on a great night!

Brace yourself for the entrance

By TorontoCarol |

Didn't know that the "schtick" at this place is that when you try to enter the restaurant, you first enter into a dark "vestibule". At some point, a man opens a little window and rudely says "what do you want? What is your name?" I gamely said I was there for a meal, and gave a couple of names for the booking; he just slammed the little door. At that point, I was frustrated because I'd had a tiring and frustrating day and here was more %$%#@!. Two other men then tried to get in; they were laughing and having a good time...I figured they enjoy being treated like that?, but realized in retrospect that they knew that being "challenged" at the "speakeasy" door was an attempt at something historic and authentic (and dare I say, fun for the employee dishing it out too?). When we were eventually allowed inside, we spotted our friends at the bar. We were to move to a table, so the same loud mouth pops up again and said very brusquely to them, "did you cash out?". That almost set me off! Why was he so rude to guests after they had been allowed in? Then my friend told me that she had had to go back to the car for something while waiting for us to arrive, and she was locked in the vestibule for awhile. The music was quite loud, it was quite dark, and when I saw the prices ($65US for cioppino) I decided that I would eat elsewhere. So, beware, you are going to be treated brusquely at the start, maybe even twice! And if you've had a bad day, brace yourself or practise being rude back and see if that works!

Do not miss out on this experience

By Christy S |

This is a must visit when in Vegas!! Great experience, music and food. We did a family style dinner and ordered 1 appetizer, a salad and three entrees. We were stuffed and skipped dessert. I cannot wait to go back.

Food and Experience was Fantastic!!! Will go on every single Vegas visit!

By MLMRocksTravel |

We go to Vegas a few times a year, and have tried so many different restaurants. This trip was a girls trip, and we had not been able to meet up since before the pandemic. We decided to do all new things this trip. Tried the Nomad...best hotel we have ever stayed at! Hitzville, one of the best shows very few people have seen! We had already had such great experiences (only negative, we should have passed on the Legends In Concert Diva show) but saved what seemed like the best restaurant/experience for our last night. I read the reviews and almost changed my mind. I recommend if this is your first visit, that you don't read any more reviews as they will spoil the element of surprises. Since I did the planning for the restaurants on this trip, none of the ladies knew what to expect and were delighted at every turn. The food was incredible. I had the best fettuccini alfredo ever, homemade pasta with perfect cream sauce. Others said the same about the lasagna, chicken luccine, and spaghetti. The meals came with homemade fresh warm bread and garlic butter. The portions were large, and there was live music. We took an Uber there and back, and it was still worth every single cent for the evening, reasonable by Vegas standards. The experience was what made this stand out as a restaurant we will always remember. Just know...when your Uber drops you off and you think "is this the right place?" It is....and you will have such a fantastic night. As their sign says, if you don't like real Italian food, there is an Olive Garden right down the road. And if you try to order any foo foo drink...don't as this "ain't no tiki hut". Go experience old Vegas! I will be back every single visit and cannot wait to go with new groups of people. Don't forget to make reservations.

Disappointed, too dark, and needs a good cleaning

By Calhoun131 |

We were attracted to capos because it sounded like a Nifty place, like an old mob hang out and we liked the cute references on the menu and password to get in , but the reality of the situation was different when we pulled up they had one of John Gotti's old cars there and it was more of a carnival atmosphere when they wanted to take your picture in front of it before you went in the door. They also didn't recognize the password we had been given and finally just asked us for our names. It was so dark inside it was beyond belief and I noticed my shoes were sticking to something on the carpet. There was a lounge singer who was not too bad, singing standards but had a very inferior sound system. One seated my wife just lost her appetite for the place but ordered a Caesar salad which was not good at all . ordered Aribiata, the spicy pasta and thought it was very well done They must have sensed that we didn't like the place because we asked for our check and were totally ignored for 20 minutes. The woman who had waited on us finally came over, very unfriendly and surly, and gave us the check Not a good experience and clearly we will never be back and I think they knew that. Plenty of other good Italian restaurants to eat at in Las Vegas. In fairness I must mention that the place was filled with people obviously a very popular neighborhood hangout.

Cold Food, poor service

By TAskew77 |

I love a great speakeasy, but Capos is not one! The waitress was not attentive, the food was cold - who wants to eat cold mash potatoes?? They brought me dessert to make up for the cold potatoes. The food in general was lackluster. They brought out hard bread and cold butter. The drinks were watered down. Disappointing experience for the first time in Las Vegas. Would not recommend.

Belongs more in Disney World than off-Strip Vegas

By Jon Jay R |

Firstly, we arrived with someone who has trouble walking. Having been tipped that the entrance is hidden, we ignored the doors clearly marked “exit” and went to two unmarked doors in the front. Knocked on doors there. No luck. Turns on entrance is on totally opposite side of building. So around to the opposite side of building we go. There is also a hookah lounge in the same shopping plaza and a LOUD fight was going on in front of it. No security or restaurant personnel was present outside to aid your entrance. Feeling unsafe, we finally made it inside the building. Once inside, we were stuck in a small, claustrophobic entryway with no air conditioning or visible means to enter the restaurant. Knowing that this is all part of the “atmosphere”, we waited and knocked on the door and expected to be asked the “password” to enter. After knocking for maybe 10 minutes, a small window opens on the opposite wall and asks us the appropriate questions. Finally we enter. When other reviewers say it is dark, they mean DARK. While being led to our table, I bumped into various chairs, tables, and even other seated patrons. I felt like an idiot. We get to our table and allowed our eyes to adjust to the low light. The walls are black, the upholstery looked black, the ceiling is black, the curtains are black, etc. There was mob memorabilia scattered throughout, but it was honestly too dark to appreciate the “decor”. The photos on website are far brighter than the reality. We were awaiting the arrival of the last member of our party, and after receiving numerous phone calls for help in getting in, I had to ask two wait staff to assist him. The “speakeasy” thing was a bit much by then. Once menus were received, we needed to use our phone flashlights to read them. Also, the prices were higher than the menu on the website by at least 5.00 item. I had two beers, two appetizers as my dinner and no dessert. My portion of the bill with tip and tax was 68.00. Separate checks are not allowed either, and with a party of eight, we spent more time doing math than eating dinner. Portions were extremely small for the prices and not very well presented or prepared. Service was adequate. The lounge singer was by far the best part of the evening. I left still feeling hungry. Not a good sign. As we left, another fight was brewing near the hookah lounge, this time much closer to us and our parked cars. No time for lingering goodbyes. If you want a touristy atmosphere, Strip prices, and sub-par food, this is your place. None of us will ever return, especially as long as the dangerous parking problem remains.

Wow and more wow

By Sammy S |

Wow, just wow! Our experience at Capo's Restaurant and Speakeasy was truly exceptional! The food was out of this world - the Tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection and the meatballs were the best we've ever had. But what really made our night special was the incredible service. Our party of 7 was treated like royalty, with attentive and friendly service that went above and beyond. If I could give the service alone 10 stars, I would! The atmosphere was also top-notch, with a swanky speakeasy vibe that added to the overall experience. Don't miss Capo's - it's a must-visit for any food lover!

Disgusted by the unprofessional and disrespectful manner I was treated by male host.

By Kai M |

The food at Capo’s was superb. The service was excellent when referring to our waiter and other staff. Unfortunately, when I came into the establishment, I entered through the exit door and had an interaction with the male host. My friend went into the restaurant and I was told to follow the host. He asked me where I was from and I told him. He then called me a “F…n A…hole.” I was shocked and appalled and quite frankly insulted. If this is how people are greeted on their first time at this establishment, I would rethink his approach. As a result, I felt very uncomfortable the entire meal and would never return.

Awesome place for dinner

By racinreggie |

First time here and it will not be the last. One of the best authentic Italian food that I have ever had. Love the speakeasy atmosphere and entertainment. I started out with the caprese and it was delicious, I just wished that instead of a few pieces of chopped prosciutto there were nice thin slices in each mozzarella. Hubby had the spicy sausage rigatoni and that was absolutely delicious. I had rigatoni trafficana and ian heaven. The fresh warm bread was perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I tried a meatball and it is the best that I've ever had, and I'm Italian. Our server was great.

Another Phenomenal Meal at Capo’s

By Cindy J |

We’ve made a habit of eating dinner at Capo’s when in Las Vegas. We love the speakeasy atmosphere and music. The food and service at this establishment are both exceptional and this trip was the best so far. The wait staff saw to everything and made excellent recommendations for both food and drink.

Worth it for the food and the experience

By KimmiAKB |

Visited Capo’s during our visit to Las Vegas after seeing it on a TV show. The idea of visiting a speakeasy themed restaurant intrigued us and we were not disappointed. We had a reservation for 2 people at 6pm and there were no issues with being seated after a rather fun entrance and interaction with the host! We were seated at a table directly in front of the live entertainment, a lady with a lovely voice, singing songs that made you think you were back in the 1950’s. Capo’s has a mob theme and the vibes there are very “Goodfellas” which we thoroughly enjoyed. Service was really good, our server attentive throughout our time there. The menu is extensive with something for everyone and dishes given mob themed names. The food; we opted to skip starters and we ordered “Santucci’s pasta” with a meatball and “Capone’s Carbonara”. The food was delicious, the portions huge and neither of us were able to finish our dish. The drinks were tasty with a lot of booze (I recommend the mango martini) and average Vegas prices. I would recommend anyone visiting Vegas go to Capo’s for the food and the experience.

Not easy on the stomach

By Karen P |

I dined at Cabos on a Sunday night with friends from out of town we both had the lasagna we both got diarrhea. I spoke with the kitchen manager and she assured me of all the fresh ingredients that they use daily. And that she would buy my dinner next time I came in. I was there last night with my sister for her birthday. We had the Caprice temptation. Reach out of the raspberry martini excellent. I had the bill parmesan she had the shrimp scampi I had cheesecake she had creme brulee. We both got diarrhea last night. And when I told the waiter that my mail was calm by the kitchen manager he sent out the manager. He approached me like it was an interrogation the only thing that was missing was a spotlight. He wanted to know when I spoke to the kitchen manager what was it about what was her reply. And then he asked is it for the whole meal and I said no just mine he turned abruptly around and left our table. I don't know if it's something in the food maybe they have a problem with their dishwasher or not rinsing off their plates properly but I'm sure my sister and I we're not the only ones who got diarrhea especially me .I ate there on a Sunday night the following Monday night 8 days later I get diarrhea again I will not be back to this restaurant

Hidden Gem

By Tammy A |

What a hidden gem. Getting in the place was in true fashion of a speakeasy and it had me sold from the start. Loved the entertainment and the atmosphere was top notch. I had lobster ravioli and they brought me an entire tail . Defiantly a must every time we come to Vegas now.

Awesome!!

By Evdallas |

Awesome place! Set up like old speakeasy ring bell to get in. Food as well as atmosphere were great. Nice piano music. Drinks were good. Best Italian in Vegas

Great food, better Magic!

By Stephanie C |

Went in expecting an incredible lasagna and cool atmosphere . It didn’t disappoint but what REALLY made the night was the magic Steven Himmel brought to our table! I’ve been to Vegas plenty of times and paid to see shows that were not NEARLY as amazing! I’ve never been so mind-blown! What a great night! Also, make sure to leave room for the cannolis because the food portions are excellent.

Not up to expectations

By steven w |

The atmosphere was interesting, but we did not enjoy the food, drinks or the long wait time for our dinners. Steaks didn't seem prime. Shrimp scampi was precooked and tough. Waited over an hour for food served after ordering. My Manhattan didn't taste like one. Could only taste bitters.

Great atmosphere and food

By Cathy T |

Very cool atmosphere. Food was delicious; prices online are NOT accurate… but worth the true cost. Couples - friends. Not really suitable for small kids. Really enjoyed entire experience

Best Dining Experience!

By Christin G |

This trip was mine and my friends second time to this restaurant and place we tell everyone about. We plan on making it one of our regular spots each trip. The entire staff is so friendly and catering to everything. Our server Big Al was one of the best servers I have ever had. The food is to die for. They have a lovely lady who was singing and added to the great atmosphere. If you have never been, I highly recommend giving them a shot! You won't be disappointed.

Great experience & food

By AddyLivinInTheOK |

We loved the entire experience! We had been a few years ago but the new renovation really stepped up their game. When Chicago Tommy greets you, you know it's going to be an exceptional experience. The plush booth seats with the velvet wall paper is gorgeous. The dim lighting and the live singers created the entire vibe. The food is fantastic, drinks are perfect and the service is great. Things I would change from a business stand point (not that my opinion matters but I'm going to give it), require a minimum dress code of no athletic wear. I understand several visitors will be tourist but everyone can plan ahead and at least wear business casual. Everyone "playing along" creates the vibe and keeps it elevated. Elevate the style of the menu to match the other decor. Also, including a small menu light will eliminate the blinding cell phone lights and keep that dimly lit ambience. Lastly, reduce the food portions. You can keep the prices the same while reducing the portions because it's experience dining. I'm going to guess a majority of guest do not take their leftovers with them, most hotels do not have microwaves and some don't have a mini fridge. Overall: Currently, I recommend ordering family style (it's a over abundance of food) It's very nice dining experience Enjoy the live music Order a cocktail, they're wonderful Book reservations

Italian cuisine with songstress from yesteryear

By lovetotravel |

Speakeasy fun night with a dark interior, songstress and Italian dishes like the home country. We like the lasagne, any of the cream sauces and their red sauce is extremely flavorable so order extra since you will take a portion of your dinner home with their large portions.

A themed location you shouldn’t pass up

By James M |

A themed restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Service, food, decor and ambiance were excellent. Value for the food was also spot on. Planning on taking friends and relatives whenever they visit.

Good food, good fun, but surprised at the final cost.

By Bret R |

This was a fun change of pace from more formal restaurants. It was dark and moody, but the live music was excellent and the strolling close-up magician was a lot of fun to interact with. The food was very good, the wine we selected was satisfying and well priced. One important caveat for you: we always visit restaurants online before visiting in person; we review their menus and prices. CAPO's looked good and well priced. BUT when we reviewed our bill when we got home, we were shocked to find the prices were NOT what we saw online, they were much higher. And side dishes that were described as included with the entre were priced a la carte instead. We did some digging and discovered that there were different sources of info for the restaurant online, like Yelp versus the restaurant's own website. Not saying the menu at the restaurant was inaccurate and we were undoubtedly charged what the menu showed. But our reason for going there was partially expecting a more reasonable cost. So be sure you are looking at the right, most current online information and look closely at the menu before ordering. I sent an email describing this issue to the restaurant management but they never responded.

My Favorite Vegas Spot

By Billy D |

It’s my new go-to spot in Vegas. Unreal flavor, service, and entertainment. Ask for the meatballs in the spaghetti!!!!

Delicious Food!

By Jennifer S |

Capo's is always a treat. Try to sit near the stage when the jazz singer is there, she is incredible! (I recommend you request Toxic if you can... its my favorite!) The food here is delicious (try the meatballs- they are to die for)! The drinks are amazing! I love the atmosphere, you truly feel like you are in an authentic speakeasy.

Felt like i was in a Mafia movie

cool entrance very dark live music and great food. It swas great the service was alil chaotic but overall great experince good food.

Best Place in Vegas

By roberti481 |

Staff is always fantasic and outgoing. They cater to every need and make you feel welcome. Meatballs to start with their red sauce is a can't miss. Love the Luchesi Chicken and the mushroom risotto. After 6 they have a lounge singer that adds to the atmosphere. Love this place!

Very Disappointed

By Bikergrams |

The veal marsala was very sweet and the linguine and clams was over powered with lemon. The ceaser salad was just OK. The lettuce was wilted as if it was made ahead of time and sat. The dressing is a bit flavorless. The mushroom risotto was also OK. A bit watery. On a good note the red sangria is very good. In addition, the service and live entertainment was great.

Reservations Required

By Becca M |

We got into town at 7pm Father's Day. My daughter wanted to take he Dad there for Father's Day. They were booked solid, but they had one opening at 9:15 pm Monday June 21st, and nothing else until July. She took it. We drove out there, which it is off strip, was granted access at the entrance, and seated 15 minutes early. Dress code is casual, or you can dress the part. The host was awesome, the waitress was phenomenal, and the kitchen staff and waitstaff were definitely hopping. The ambiance is that of a Speak Easy, so the lighting is low making the seating cozy. The drinks are strong, but delicious. The portions of food are large and so freaking good!!! The pasta is handmade and you can taste the difference. I had Chicken Picatta with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. It comes with choice of soup or salad. The picture below is HALF the Chicken Picatta and ALL the potatoes. It was so delicious, and the flavors were so balanced. We will definitely come back the next time we're in town, I'll just make sure to call ahead for a reservation.

Dinner at Capo’s - Las Vegas

By COJOWisconsin |

The best thing about this place was the entertainment. The first guy did excellent Sinatra songs and the second guy did great with Tony Bennett songs. Food- We read reviews about the meatballs being spicy. Our server, Big Al, insisted they weren’t…..listen to me THEY ARE SPICY. It’s not really peppers it’s more of a spicy gardiniera mixed in the sauce. The bolognese was nothing more than basic tomato sauce not true bolognese. Very disappointing. Thank goodness the chicken parm was decent so we shared that. The waiter never questioned why my pasta was uneaten but just cleared the plate. Drinks- Our mixed drinks were decent but priced high for off strip. My hubby ordered an espresso martini but the waiter misinterpreted what was said and 2 came. I decided to be a good sport, even though I’m not a fan of these martinis, and drink the 2nd one. I tried but ended up not finishing it. When the bill came we were shocked to see they each cost $25 🤨 That’s strip pricing honestly. There’s waaaay better Italian on and off strip for what we paid here and we won’t be back.

Fuhgeddaboudit! Do yourself a favor and skip the strip! Go see Bobby and his Staff!

By PDXTim |

Capo's was a real treat. From the nondescript plain looking building in a strip mall to the speakeasy feel getting in, to the amazing Maitre'D Bobby, to the fantastic live singing from David, to the best and sweetest bartender Gyrie (?), to the amazing old school Italian food. This place was the highlight of our trip and will now and forever be a regular stop when we're back in Vegas. Bobby the Maitre'D is one of the coolest, most interesting guys I've met in the restaurant industry. He's busy running around checking people in, seating them, talking with everyone and ensuring all their meals are to their liking and having a nice time. David the entertainment for the evening was fantastic. He sang songs from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin (Rat Pack era) and transformed the atmosphere back to the 1940's. Some of the songs sounded spot on with "Ol Blue Eyes"... I could spend every weekend listening to him. And last but not least is Gyrie the bartender. She was the nicest, most friendly bartender I've ever run into in Vegas and despite that, she would rate up there with one of the best bartenders anywhere I've been. She also makes a fantastic Negroni! Now, I haven't even mentioned the food yet, but this is old school Italian like you might find in Little Italy in Manhatten or Chicago or what an Italian grandmother might make for a Sunday supper. The spicy meatball is one "spicy meatball" and is so filling. The marinara sauce it comes with is thick and plentiful and make sure to use that warm garlic bread to mop up the rest of it. The lasagna is massive! Full of meat, thick baked cheese and again, a heavy portion of marinara sauce. And the chicken marsala was a tender pounded chicken breast with deep and flavorful marsala and perfectly sauteed mushrooms. Capo's was just an unbelievable experience that far exceeded any of our expectations. And it is now one of our favorite restaurants anywhere. We will not only be back to see Bobby, David, and Gyrie but will be telling all of our friends about it and our experience there. Get off the strip, save some money, and treat yourself to one of the best kept experiences Las Vegas has to offer!

Nice!

It was a great evening!! Good food with relaxing entertainment. Be prepared for the rude person at entrance, darkness, and the overall gangster act. Part of the experience.

We absolutely loved our dinner at Capo’s! Crazy fun entrance! It is dinner and a fun experience. We have been to Las Vegas many times and this is our first time going to Capo’s. We saw the restaurant on the show Bar Rescue and really wanted to go. We highly recommend it!

Food and magic show

Disappointed Birthday Dinner

By Judy T |

We went to Capo’s for my husband’s birthday. First, we had no idea they were still doing their New Years Eve Menu on New Years Day. And that was not on the website when I made the reservations. It stated New Years Eve Special, not New Years Day. The special was a four course meal. We each had to order an appetizer, soup or salad, entree and a desert, from a set menu of choices at $70 each. We had been looking forward to the night so we decided to go ahead and have dinner. Well we wish we hadn’t. The food was mediocre, the stuffed mushrooms we way over salted, the fried raviolis were mushy and the sauce cold. One of our guests are diabetic and asked for a dry salad, but the salad with the raviolis was dressed. The salads had way too much dressing and were soggy. The entrees were not impressive either. The sauce on my pasta was watery and lacked flavor. My husbands lasagne lacked sauce and didn’t have the creamy texture you expect from lasagna, due to the lack of cheese. It took forever to get our desert. My cannoli was tiny, especially compared to to cheesecake my husband got. We probably could have fit three or four into his cheesecake. The tiramisu my daughter ordered was ok, nothing to write home about. When we got the bill, we realized that there was a gratuity of 20% already included. We were only a table of 4 and the service was not that great. Our drinks were left empty, hot plates were handed to us from across the table, with no warning they were hot and we had to wait a long time for dessert. No one ever ever checked on us to ask how the food was or how we were doing. Our bill was almost $400 (only 1 alcoholic drink). My husband compared our experience as to being robbed without a gun. We will not be returning or recommending this establishment which is too bad, as we had high hopes and had really been looking foreword to celebrating my husbands birthday at Capos.

YES PLEASE!!! This was our first time here and it was a great experience! Met by Bobby the Fixer working the door. Great atmosphere and staff. This is a hidden gem… and the food was wonderful!

Favorite restaurant in Vegas hands down!

By indysinger88 |

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! The atmosphere is perfect, live music was stellar, service was above and beyond what is expected. Every employee is so happy to work here and it shows! The food and drinks are superb!! A “must do” when in Vegas!

Fun experience, good food

By KKJACKS |

Go for the ambiance, live singer and good food, and also to escape the chaos around the strip. The lasagna and carbonara are both solid entrée choices. We also enjoyed the toasted ravioli appetizer. Watch out for the bartender. Sometimes they’ll make up little shooter specialty drinks and roam around acting like they’d like you to sample it. It is not a sample, you are charged for the full drink. Lesson learned! The magician that goes around to tables is pretty entertaining and worthy of a small tip if you appreciate that sort of thing. There is also someone taking pictures, which I found a little bizarre and reminded me too much of an amusement park or Branson. Maybe some people like that sort of thing, but it wasn’t for me.

Not very good Italian food

By 8cats |

This was an interesting and fun experience. Staff was very friendly. The food we had was not very good. Maybe I am comparing it to New York Italian food, that's what everyone keeps telling me. My husband's shrimp scampi was very spicy, but scampi is not supposed to be spicy; It is garlicky. My chicken dish was edible, but really had no taste. The risotto was so rich that I couldn't eat it.

Loved it!

By Kim |

We traveled to Vegas at least 3 times a year for a vacation, prior to Covid, and drove by Capo's every time. After recently watching an episode of Bar Rescue, where Jon Taffer updated the restaurant, we decided to visit. All four of us enjoyed the experience. After reading a few of the recent reviews, we were skeptical; however, it lived up to our expectation of being an "old style" Vegas restaurant experience with tasty food and good service. It is actually a lot of fun to visit. We enjoyed the secret window where the host invited us in after waiting in the entry. The Rat Pack style music and dark lighting created ambience that we enjoyed. We will definitely return.

My favorite restaurant!!!!!!

By LasVegaslocal |

One visit to a restaurant on the strip is enough for me, but I've been going here at least once a week for over 10 years. The food is good, there's live music, and I've been able to spot celebrities many times, although it's too dark to see them well.

Funny but...

By 149audreyj |

It is a nice experience for entering the restaurant with the password, the atmosphere and the singer. The food is expensive and not very good (overcooked prawns among others) and the waiter who always tries to add extras and sell more, it's really deplorable.

Corporate Evening

By FarAway47865710442 |

Just this past weekend we took our employees to Capos for a stress free, fun evening. The food and drinks were excellent and the service and entertainment was even better! We have memories for a lifetime and we really appreciate the experience!

Perfect off the strip place

By paulg-Phoenix |

Had a group of 6 and had to wait a bit, not much room to do that as bar isn't very big and is part of the open kitchen at the end. Food was very good, prices even better. Everyone has their own opinion on the sauce and what it should taste like, no complaints from anyone in our group. This place is worth the trip, it isn't real big and it's very busy so know that going in.

Dine in the Dark with a Diva and the Rat Pack…

By Julie C |

You pull into a strip mall parking lot and there is a dark building with Capo’s written on it. Seems like it’s shut down. There is a red steel door on one end. Open it and you’re in a small interior room. A little cubby opens up. “You have a reservation?” Answer yes and the door opens to a dimly lit, bar and restaurant. It’s packed with a small stage at the front. From that point on, it’s great! Customer service oriented staff, great authentic Italian food, and a beautiful singer, dressed in sequins belting out favorite songs from the Sinatra/Martin/Davis era. Sage Waters is a great performer and engages with the audience. What a fun night in a secret place!

What you would expect if you have watched Mobster movies

By DLP |

This place was great and we enjoyed it immensely. It is not on the Vegas strip and requires reservations. If you do not make reservations then do not expect to get in through the secret entrance. Once inside, the place is dimly lit, with live singing…definitely a speakeasy vibe. All meals are named after famous mobsters and the mobster salad would be highly recommended. Cheapest meal is $29 but the food is fabulous, the portions generous and it well worth the cost. The service was phenomenal and the ambiance was great. The exit made us giggle, so from start to finish this was a wonderful and fun dining experience

Good but.....

By Northcarolinapuppy |

The good: The appetizer meatballs and mushrooms were both pretty good. The ambiance was great. Low light and red leather booths. The front door was cool. The singer and the magician were awesome! The not so good: The rules. No plate sharing. Then give us a option of a smaller portion. One of our friends wanted the fried raviolis which was on the appetizer menu for her entee. They said she couldn't order that. After we left and started talking about it, what if she had declined to eat all together, would they have kicked her out? We all felt because of the stupid rules we won't be back because it did have some really nice things about it.

Another fine dining experience at Capo

By Jim M |

Not your typical restaurant by any measure. It was dark and a bit noisy. Excellent Italian food. Live entertainment. Great service. Not kid friendly.

Best Part of Our Vacation

By reesa76 |

We were at the end of a two week vacation when we visited. My family consists of 2 parents, 2 teens, and a 20 year old. We all enjoyed every minute and all agreed it was the best part of our trip. The food, the atmosphere, the singers, and the magician were all fantastic. The kids all said it was the best Italian food they ever had. I was slightly insulted, but couldn't disagree. The food tasted like my deceased Italian ancestors used to make. The red sauce was soooo good, and the meatballs were amazing. The pasta is made fresh and so heavy that I had leftovers that lasted a few days. If we ever come back to Vegas, this would be our first stop. It was pricey, but well worth it in my opinion because it was like dinner and a show.

I can recommend the place is very nice the atmosphere the music. I can't wait to go back again and enjoy the food

The food was wonderful and the ambiance was superb! Food portions were generous. Only one problem the prices were a little higher than the online menu but overall it was so worth it!

Not what it used to be, and having to pay to be seated, despite having reservations

By galileocan |

This used to be a great restaurant. Now the food has gone downhill, and I had a horrible extortion-like experience with the host. I arrived with a confirmed reservation made online. When we arrived, the host indicated it was a crazy night, and would be a problem seating us. After a 15 minute wait, the host called me aside and said that if I wanted to be seated, I'd need to tip him. Confused, I said ..."tip you to be seated for a confirmed reservation I already have for right now??." He said "yes...give me 30 bucks and I'll get you seated". I wanted to leave, but felt terrible to strand my family who were starving. I didn't know where to go and the area doesn't have other restaurants close by and we had come by taxi. Begrudgingly, I gave the man the 30 dollars he demanded. I felt horrible and ripped off as if I'd been robbed. The meal was rushed because they were busy, food was not even near what it was a few years ago, and the host practically forcing a guest to pay up despite having a confirmed and valid reservation was shameful. I will never come here ever again.

Best Vegetarian dishes!!!!

By Peacelover |

We live in L.A. and often come here for the Golden Knights games. We are Asian vegetarian, so we usually eat in Chinatown, but after a while we get tired of it and want to try western food. It is hard to find good vegetarian food in Vegas, but a friend of ours who lives here brought us to this restaurant. I ordered the Caesar Salad, Pasta Primavera and Eggplant Parmesan. and we’re surprised at how delicious they were. I was thrilled to find such a delicious vegetarian menu in such an unexpected place. The interior of the restaurant is also very cool, in the style of an Italian gangster. We all love love love this place! Can’t wait to going back there.

Don’t miss the best Italian food in Vegas!

By Ellen W |

Hands down the best restaurant in Vegas! Such a cool speakeasy with just fantastic food and live entertainment. Great service!

WOWZA- What a Fabulous meal/ experience!

By Cheryl C |

Capo's had it all- fun from the moment Chicago Tommy checked us out through the little window in the door till we exited after my guy wrote "best night ever" on our check. We were lucky to sit at the bar before our table was ready because we were able to experience the atmosphere there, too. At only 6 PM the kitchen (visible from the bar) was in full fiery mode. Our friendly gal bartender gave us a taste of her recommended Merlot which was fine and led to a bottle. Much as we enjoyed the bar, things only got better when Tommy escorted us through a very dark speakeasy atmosphere to our table - very near their crooner who entertained the diners from his stage. His songs were so appropriate to the setting and his interactions with the diners was fun and appreciated. Our waiter, Jeremy, guided us through a yummy meatball appetizer, entrees and a tiramisu dessert finale with a perfect mix of professionalism and friendly attitude. Tommy and others stopped by our table and many adjacent tables interacted, too. Everything we ate was delicious and arrived at a good pace, perfectly prepared, Atmosphere, experience, food- all A plus. We were referred to Capo's by a local who played golf with us earlier in the day and so thankful. Our well planned 5 day Las Vegas stay includes some fabulous experiences but this was our unexpected adventure that we'll toast for years to come.

Everything Good about Las Vegas

By JuneandChris |

2nd time to Capos Fantastic meal and great Swing nusic singer Bobby. Our waiter Ed was the best he couldnt do enough for us all night and when we couldnt get s taxi back to the strip he drove us to our hotel himself. What a lovely guy and a credit to Capos.

Great food and ambiance!

By wilsonsbythelake |

My husband and I had a great time! Loved the gangster dress of the restaurant staff and overall mob theme - so fun to have a password to get in the door! Ziggy was a wonderful maître d'. And Sal did a great job as our waiter. The singer was phenomenal too. The martinis we had were very well done and the wine list was very good too. My husband had lasagna and I had the classic spaghetti with Mama's meatballs. Both dishes were delicious.

Food was good, service was rushed but the experience itself was cool

By MLMRocksTravel |

Reservations are a must, and you will think you are in the wrong place when you arrive. Don't read any other reviews or they may spoil all the fun if it is your first time. What you need to know is that the food is good in huge portions. I have taken several first-timers there and it has always been five star, except this time. My pasta was delicious, but I prefer penne and one of the cream sauces. He order the diablo and it was so acid tasting, that is was inedible. The waiter did not care, and simply told him to order something not so spicy next time. The entertainment in a Rat Pack Vegas speakeasy was delightful, which helped make it a four star....because with the food/service issue it could have been lowered to two stars.

EXCELLENT DINING EXPERIENCE.

By Thriftyboy1974 |

We dined at Capo’s for my birthday while in Las Vegas. It came highly recommended online and I love Italian- so why not ? The restaurant was situated off strip, but thats what I actually wanted. Expect an UBER or taxi ride, as the location is away from the Monorail Line. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew we were in for a different kind of adventure! We were seated in an excellent corner with a great view of the live singer. (We happened to catch two). My wife and I shared the meatballs as an appetizer (excellent). Dinner for myself - lasagna. The best I ever tasted. Wait staff were great and very attentive to our needs as the restaurant was basically full. We will definitely be back here and hopefully soon. Come hungry !!!

Horrible.

By Alyssa g |

How on earth this place has 4.5 stars is beyond me. 0 , 0 and another 0. Had a reservation at 7, was not sat until 7:43. It took an ADDITIONAL 30 minutes for them to even bring drinks. Then an ADDITIONAL 45 minutes to get the food. I should not be in a restaurant on a wednesday night at 7 getting the worst service ever and waiting 3 hours. Will never be back and will never recommend.

What’s the password?

Great Old School Italian Restaurant - Reasonable prices

By paulg-Phoenix |

The food, the lounge singer, Godfather playing on the bar TV's. This is what an Italian restaurant is! Make the trip, so it's not on the strip, you will be more than happy you did.

Great Food

By Kimberly W |

This was a great spot for a nice dinner while out in Vegas. The food was amazing and was worth the trip off the strip for dinner.

Classic Italian Food

We heard to go to this place from a Monday Night Football game, so we waited till we got to town this month. The place has such a great atmosphere and great, classic Italian Food. The Bartender was very friendly, and we'll definitely be back on our next trip.

An absolute MUST Stop in Vegas

By Troy L |

If you come to Vegas and don't plan on visiting Capos, there really is no reason to come to Vegas!, from the absolute BEST Sea Bass and Risoto I have ever had to the impeccable wait staff, ( Jenny Especially) it was an absolute pleasure dining here. I travel extensively and look for the off the beaten path type places in search of the most excellent food and service. Capos is all of that and more.

Great atmosphere, service and drinks

By Teri W |

I wanted this to be everything I was told. It just wasn't. This was by far, the worst food of our week in Vegas. Neither of us ate our food and no one asked if there was a problem. I had the chicken madera and my friend had spaghetti and meatballs. The service however, was top notch and the cocktails were very tasty. It has a really cool atmosphere and the live music was great. I am happy for the experience.

Absolutely AMAZING! Fantastic food, excellent atmosphere!

By Beachidler |

I was visiting my niece and her husband in Las Vegas over Labor Day weekend 2022, Capos was on our list of must-do's, it did not disappoint! My niece did a study abroad in Italy for a year in college and she told me this was the best Italian food she's had this side of the water. Somewhere in the planning for the weekend we decided to also get dressed up in roaring 20's costume and have a night to remember. I can't believe how much fun we had right from the moment the gentleman opened the little slider window in the door! Apparently the restaurant was recently remodeled and we weren't sure what to expect, my niece hadn't been there since the remodel. It's still amazing! People comment on the dark. Folks, it's supposed to be! It's a speakeasy, look them up. The entire place is really nicely done in 20's theme. I guess some people miss the old red booths with the curtains. I can appreciate that, but the place really looks good. I wish I had taken more pictures, but we were having so much fun I totally got caught up in the moment! I guess that's a good thing as these days I think we are all about the photos given the camera on our phones. The food was top notch. I don't know what people are talking about or what happened who did not have good food. I love eggplant parmesean and this is so easy to destroy, make it so very slimy. It was amazing! Not the least bit slimy! The pasta was cooked perfectly and their red sauce is the best I've ever had, hands down! My niece had the shrimp scampi and she said it was delicious. I can't recall the name of her husband's dish, but he loved it equally as much as we loved ours. We all shared a tiramisu and it was better than any I've had, I'm not sure I can eat it anywhere else again, I think this is how it's supposed to be. Next time, I'm getting my own! The food portions are huge! Yes, the menu states each person has to order their own entree, I don't know why. Just do it. Take it home, don't finish, whatever. Honestly, the prices were not as high as I was expecting. My egg plant parmesean was about $23. Considering the atmosphere and the portion sizes, and being in Vegas I was pretty happily surprised. We ordered drinks in 20's style and they were all very good. I ordered a Mary Pickford, I had found it online as a true old speakeasy drink and wanted to try it. The waiter hadn't heard of it, but was more than happy to ask the bartender. It came out delicious! They had live music that night and the singer was a woman with a beautiful voice. She can sing strong without being so loud as to make conversation at the table impossible. It was perfect! Again, we dressed up in roaring 20's and made our best attempts at speaking properly. The staff absolutely played along and made the evening so much fun! I laughed until my cheeks hurt. I have put Capos on my list for the next time I go back to visit my niece!

Good people, good food and fun times.

By Will H |

The food is good, the ambiance is “dark” and the staff is great! Live music by a very personable singer. We will be back the next time we are in LasVegas.

Entertainment was great, service was good, food was just ok.

We went to Capo’s prior to catching a show at the Venetian. It’s about a 10 minute drive off the strip. We walked into the waiting room and rang the bell, an Italian opened a little window and hollered at us. We hollered back and had a little fun with him. It was a great touch. We were seated and greeted by a nice woman who told us about their specialities and took our order. We started with the sausage and peppers followed by a chicken Caesar for my wife and the chicken parm for myself. Food came out pretty quick. The sausage and pepper appetizer was great though it was a $20 small appetizer that should have been twice the size for the price. My wife said the Caesar was “ok” for a $30 salad I would have expected her to say it was amazing! My chicken parm was also just ok and like the Caesar, was $30. I felt the chicken parm was priced as expected but the salad and the appetizer I think was a bit steep for what it was. The ambience in this place was great! It was real dark and had more of a date night vibe versus a family vibe…since it was my wife and I on a date night, it suited what we were looking for. I did see some families in there however I wouldn’t take my kids here personally as it doesn’t have a family restaurant vibe. They had an Italian singer doing live music who was fantastic! He told a few jokes between songs and was real entertaining. I don’t think we would go here for dinner again but may stop in for a cocktail and listen to the entertainment.

Highly recommended restaurant

By Kaori |

I went there because a local friend of mine praised it highly. From the outside, it looks like a shack. First, when you press the doorbell, a funny doorman comes out and lets you in. There was a live singer singing, and I realized I was in Las Vegas! It seemed like we were the only Asians there, so I wondered for a moment if it was okay. My friend told me that the lasagna was excellent, but I don't like cheese very much, so I asked the waiter to add shrimp to the penne pasta called "arrabbiata." To my surprise, it was the first delicious pasta I'd had in a long time in America. My son had penne with sausage and red peppers in a black sauce, which was sweet and spicy and very delicious. For appetizers, we ordered calamari and arugula salad, which was also delicious. It suits Japanese tastes. My husband had steak, which he said was delicious. Then, while we were eating, a cute woman came over and suddenly showed us a magic trick. I was surprised again, but he showed us magic tricks that were better than most magicians. My husband and children were very impressed! We live in LA, but if our friends from Japan come to visit, we will definitely take them here. I am so grateful to the acquaintance who told me about it!

Vegas from the ages!

By KirstenAK |

The whole experience is phenomenal! From making the reservation, to instructions on how to get in (which I failed at miserably) to the ambiance and food. The entertainment was just enough. Loved the singing, servers and the bouncer!!

If you’re on the strip make this trip!!!

By Guy324 |

We were looking for dinner spot off the strip, came across Capo’s on a google search and made a reservation. 15 min Uber ride from New York New York ($15), this place was fun and food was phenomenal, you walk in and ring the bell for a secret door thats disguised with an old fashion pay phone, OK… the first thing you notice is how dark it is, for me a little too dark (my only issue with the place) I guess that’s going with the speakeasy vibe so I rolled with it. Walked past the bar, complete with tv playing Goodfellas with no sound, to our table in the back, a singer singing old rat pack style songs as background music that worked perfectly for the vibe, the service was excellent and the food was top notch, I’m from NYC and the food here is right up there with my favorite Italian restaurants. Large portions, My entree was the lasagna, easily could have shared with my wife and still had leftovers, the rest of my party had Chicken parmigiana, sausage and peppers (spicy, nice kick) and Caesar salad with a meatball (server said they are known for their meatballs) I did try the sausage and peppers and the chicken parm, my brother devoured the meatball like Pac-Man before I could try it (but my lasagna was stuffed with sausage and meatballs so I know how good it was) everything was really good, then dessert, homemade tiramisu and Cannolis to die for, and in the end the price was very reasonable, dinner for 4 with tip cost us $300, waited 7 mins for an Uber back to strip….when ever I go back to Vegas this is a must…loved it

Go hang with the Goodfellas

By Julie H |

Ok, so my 5/5 review is not saying this is a 5 star joint. This is based on our experience as a whole while visiting Vegas. We wanted something fun/unique, and they delivered. It is an OLD mobster speakeasy that delivers from the front door to the exit. Think Jessica Rabbit/Betty Boop. It’s dark, dated, we had two different rat pack style singers that were great, our food was good not great, and our server “The Sandman” was great at his part! This is an EXPERIENCE, and one tat couples should try, if they are looking for a fun evening. We just got back from the Grand Canyon and walked in so we didn’t fit the scene-go wearing something from the era, make it that much more unique.

Worst meatballs anywhere. This is not an authentic Italian restaurant by any stretch.

By Promhd |

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The food was absolutely horrible mush. I ordered a pasta dish. Pasta was mush and the sauce horrible. I would have sent it back after two bites but was afraid it would simply end up on someone else’s plate.

Frightening

By N1ng N1ng |

I loved it here with the live singer, the ambience and the great food. The portions are massive so it was glad I didn’t go for a starter and couldn’t even go for dessert either as the tasty main dish was so filling The title of this review is ‘frightening’ and when you visit you should see why and don’t forget to get some photos, especially on the way out with the props

Sticker SHOCK

By Paul A |

Capo's has always been one of our favorites. However, we noticed a few slight changes that took away from our usual fantastic experience. Quality of food was slightly off. Sauce didn't taste the same and hoping just an anomaly. Wife was very disappointed they no longer offered their homemade gluten free ravioli's. This set them apart from other restaurants. Lastly, PRICE! We had sticker price over the cost of their side meatball and drinks. $24 for an old fashioned? We didn't even ask for an bourbon upgrade. We could eat on the strip for this price. It's always been a nice LOCAL place with LOCAL prices.. so hoping they're not getting too big for their britches. Not giving up yet, but hoping they take this feedback and make adjustments.

Truly the BEST ...Exceptional Food Service and Entertainment

Step back in time to the days of the speakeasy. Dark lighting, lounge singers and roaming magician. Food and drinks were excellent. We had a great time.

Most Delicious Italian Dinner Ever!

By patopti |

Friends from Las Vegas took us to this Speakeasy for a delicious dinner. Get the pink sauce. It’s the best ever! I had the Ricotta Cheese Ravioli. Pretty sure this the the real homemade stuff. Probably an old family recipe. Dimly lit for ambiance and prompt attentive service. The Cannolis are to die for.

The perfect anniversary dinner date night!

By Robin T |

Wow! Very much a speakeasy vibe, romantic setting complete with a beautiful woman singing. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Service was exceptional as well. So glad we chose this place to celebrate our 2nd anniversary.

Best Overall Experience in Vegas!

By Kim M |

I first found this gem by searching for best Italian restaurants in Vegas. After looking at the website and reviews I knew this was the place for Dad and I. It is an old school mobster Italian Speakeasy. The moment we entered through the door I was hooked! Tommy opened the peep hole and asked us what we were doing there. I tried throwing him some mobster jargon to get us in the place… Fugidaboutit! Tommy was our host and host he was! Very Italian and a gentleman! Every single staff member was smiling and knowledgeable. Our server was on top of our every need and answered all questions we had. The meatballs, fried raviolis and fettuccine we’re truly amazing, believe me I tried them all! Cannoli’s for dessert. The whole experience was topped off with live music that was absolutely perfect for the place. If your looking for a whole experience, this is the place! A big Thank You to Tommy and his staff! We will definitely be back!

Like a walk back in time

By Celia48d |

The experience starts when you enter through the door, ring the bell and wait for a face in the window to ask the password. The restaurant is dark upon entering until your eyes adjust. Lots of intimate carved booths which are red. There was a gentleman playing saxophone who was very entertaining. The food was very good, homemade pastas, meatballs, sausage. Good wine and drinks too! The waitstaff were efficient and polite. We also had an appetizer of fried ravioli which was good too. We will definitely come back again.

Wonderful time

By tracynmot |

Best Italian food I’ve ever had. We loved the whole experience. The food, the service and the ambiance were all on point. We will definitely make this a stop on all of our future Vegas trips

Uniquely Incredible

By Destiny D |

After eating at Capo’s in 2018 during a convention, I loved it so I decided to come back in 2024. Happy to say the ambiance is still incredible and unique and so is the food! This is now a staple on my LV list of places to go, they really try to please you. Can’t ask for more! TY Capo’s!

Fun experience!

By TannisRob |

We had read reviews of this place and were really intrigued to see what the fuss was all about. We were not disappointed! From the entryway to the seating to the food - everything was great. Portions are on the large side and well prepared. The service was fun as the waiter played well with us. The singer was fun- he played mostly old tunes you would expect, and took requests as well. The whole place is dark and full of ambience. Will definitely come back on another visit.

Old Time Vegas atmosphere

By davidhI5493AD |

Very cool place to go. Food was very good, service was great. The place strives for the ambience of old mob Vegas and makes it enjoyable. Live entertainment that sings the songs you would imagine were sung at places like this back in the day. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere!!

By IamZChef |

Had a really good experience here!! The inside of this restsurant is very old school and dark, which I loved. The food is good, only problem was they topped my gf dinner with the wrong sauce, then it came right back out and the ravioli were very soft/mushy. Besides that hiccup we all enjoy the entertainment and experience of Capos. Definitely an experience that I would recommend and definitely go back for.

Wonderful Food & Atmosphere!

By OutdoorsAlways |

The food and the atmosphere were great! Loved the staff and band, they made the experience!!! I would absolutely go back.

Beware online menu

By CaptJamesTKirk |

The atmosphere and food were very good - as was live singer (Abigail?), however the online menu listed prices that were about 40% cheaper than on the menu handed to me when we got there. This did dampen my spirits a bit (especially as we had the steaks) and felt a bit underhanded. Which come to think of it is in keeping with the theme I suppose....

Fun, Cozy, Yummy

By d22randy |

Capo's is a great place to go for something a little different. Finding the entrance sets the whole evening up! Just a word though, this restaurant is NOT near the strip - we took an UBER and it was definitely a ways away from our hotel. The ambiance is dark and mysterious...as it should be! There were two different singers there while we were there and both were great! There was also a table to table entertainer which was a surprise and fun. The food was pretty classic Italian. Very garlicky, large plates and tasty. The service was super friendly, prompt and helpful. I would definitely visit again and recommend to others.

If I could give it a 10 stars I would!

By jdix123 |

It was awesome! The best Italian food in Vegas! It’s a little place in Vegas. It looked vacant and you as you may think that. As you walk in to a secret entrance. The food was beyond amazing! Stand up service! Live entertainment was impeccable!

An Experience You Must Have

By rivnme |

Ok, so these were the comments of the people in the car. I don't think we're going the right way, this can't be right, we're in a residential neighborhood, is this place in the basement of the church, are we there? As a stand alone Bldg in a parking lot with store fronts you pull up to an unassuming bldg. But it's speakeasy so it should be unassuming right! You enter at what feels like the side/end of the Bldg and your experience begins. I won't give anything else away, as you must experience it first hand but if you're going for dinner make a reservation. We went on a Monday because Mondays appetizers are 50% off and we had just arrived in Vegas. The appetizers were outstanding, especially the mushroom caps! We sat at the bar, no reservations necessary but it's not a huge area so you might want to go early. From the naturally in character gentleman who let us in and seated us to our bartender/waiter we were enthralled with the whole atmosphere. We had a blast and I think you would too. Check it out!

Badaboom Badabing! Hey fugettaboutit!

By Rhonda S |

My husband and I spent five days in Vegas in August 2024 and each of us planned a date night. The night I planned consisted of an Elvis impersonator who was amazing and dinner at Capo's. I had researched before I made the reservation and I wanted to experience something unique and not a restaurant on the Strip. My husband had no clue where we were going and the uber ride was about 15ish minutes from the Strip. The building is very nondiscript and looks plain with no windows. We entered the building and then entered a room no bigger than a closet that had no windows, was very dark once you shut the door. Inside that small dark closet was another door with a buzzer to ring. We rang the buzzer and after a few seconds a small window slid open on the door. Think Wizard of Oz! Remember when Dorothy tried to enter Oz? ANYWAY, the voice on the other side said, "What's the password?" I replied, "Badaboom" to which he replied, "Badabing, come on in" and the little window closed. He opened the main door and we walked into Capo's. SIDENOTE: You need a password to get in. Make it up but whatever you do, don't be like, 'Ohhhh ummmm, I don't know?" because they'll shut the little window on you and you'll have to try again. I just said the first thing that came to my mind. So inside, it was like walking back in time! So cool!!!! Dimly lit with candles, dark paneling, red and black decor...our mobster-wannabe host escorted us to our table which was a large half circle booth right next to the stage where a Tony Bennett-like singer was crooning Rat Pack songs. We almost expected to see Sammie Davis and Frank Sinatra in one of the booths!!! The Godfather is playing on a loop on tvs in the bar area even. We each had a couple of cocktails, an appetizer of fried calamari and dinner. I had the chicken with capers and my husband had fettucini alfredo. The portions are HUGE. We should have split our meals because we were stuffed but the food was excellent. We did not have dessert but we enjoyed the music, the ambience, and our meals. What we did not enjoy was our server. All of the servers are men; no problem with that at all. They all dress alike. That's cool. The problem was our server was SO UNATTENTIVE to us and so UNINTERESTED in serving us, that we felt like forgotten red headed step-children. Such a fun experience was sadly diminished by our server. When we finally paid the bill, we waited and waited and waited for our server to return and he didn't. We had to ask for him repeatedly and then when he finally came to us, he asked us if there was something else we needed? Ummmm, yeah, our credit card! We were so disapponted in the service when we saw how the rest of the wait staff served their tables with enthusiasm and attentiveness. This is why I gave Capo's 3 stars instead of 5. If you're looking for something cool and unique, give Capo's a try and hopefully you won't get our waiter!

A delicious trip back in time!

By Phil G |

The excitement starts when you walk through the benign entrance and knock at the door. Call ahead for the password, or you may get accused of being a copper! The food was outstanding, the service and entertainment were great, and the atmosphere was like going back in time to prohibition. A wonderful and unique experience well worth the trip off the strip!

A Night to Remember at Capo's in Vegas!

By MCE B |

This was the most amazing place I have ever been with the added benefit of delicious food. I said to my wife that I think this restaurant is my spirit restaurant — the entire atmosphere, the doorbell to enter, the crooner up on the stage… I felt like I stepped back into the 50s in the best possible way. I half expected Lucky Luciano to walk in or see Capone. I can’t wait to go back. Don’t hesitate: go!!! (Also, added benefit: no kids allowed!!!!!)

Great vibe

By karenmazz729 |

Food was amazing, and being Italian and eating/cooking mostly from scratch.... this was by far one of the best restaurants I've been to. I NEVER order meatballs or gravy out, ever, however we heard about Capo's and had to try it.... the meatball was insane and I even enjoyed the gravy. Definitely would go back again, if I ever return to Vegas. I loved the vibe, and the service was very good.

Wonderful

Absolute fun and great experience. Awesome food. Highlight of our trip to Vegas!!! Super atmosphere. We lost bed the singer and the service.

Off the Strip Gem!

By Mindy O |

Highly recommend! What a great experience off the strip with live entertainment. The service was exceptional, food was amazing with large portions! Definitely try the fried ravioli and lasagna!

Best spot in Vegas the food and the service is extraordinary.

By Ronan |

I just visited this restaurant with my friends and if we weren’t going back to Ireland tomorrow we’d be going straight back. We shared the meatballs to start that our exceptional waiter Francisco recommended and he was spot on they were by far the best meatballs I have ever tried. For main course I got the chicken parm which Francisco also recommended and he was 2 for 2. The portion was massive and it was phenomenal. We finished with the cannolis for dessert and same again the best cannolis I’ve ever tried. The prices might be a little high but it is absolutely worth every bit of it. There was live music too and the singer was really talented she sang lots of really good songs and sang them very well, it really tied the whole experience together. The customer service was definitely the best we had in Vegas everyone was so nice and caring, they truly want you to have a good time in there. We’d like to thank Fransisco again his recommendations were spot on, he did his job extremely well and was good fun too. If I’m in Vegas again I will definitely be coming back.

BEST FOOD, AND SERVICE. #1 ALL THE WAY ! love this place..great atmosphere, friendly staff and food like mother used to make

Capos on NY Eve was delicious

By Shelly S |

The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The only strange thing was my daughter was full but was told she had a choice of three items for a birthday dessert and then we were charged for the dessert. Others in attendance thought they did a lot of uninformed upselling.

Great experience in an amazing atmosphere.

By parksideRovers |

We were there to celebrate my birthday and our friends 40th wedding anniversary and it didnt disapoint. Great singers and the food was good and plentiful Loved the quirky elements and friendly staff. Will be back everytime we come to vegas. Thank you guys

A true winner

By Blondwine |

After spending a couple of minutes trying to find a way into the place...which we did....we entered through the exit. Once inside the atmosphere is amazing. The booth near the stage was perfect. Our waiters (yes, more than one) were spot on. The singer was fantastic...great singing voice and he was funny too. The drinks were delicious. But the food...the food is outstanding. I stated with their Caesar Salad....lovely. For my entrée I had the eggplant...which comes with a side a pasta. The eggplant was excellent, but it could have easily served four people. Not kidding. My dinner partner had their Italian egg drop soup and for dinner he had the salmon. He said both were excellent. I wish our hotel, The Encore had a real mini fridge (not filled with junk food,) so that I could have taken my leftovers back with me. Now, the service is also outstanding; just about everyone working in Capo's came over to see if everything was good. Nope...it was all excellent.

Underwhelmed this time around :(

By quebec-kitten-21 |

Came here 5 years ago and had an awesome experience. This time around, not so much. We made reservations for our 25th wedding anniversary and had requested a red leather booth but did not get one. Bummer. No mention of “happy anniversary”, rather we got a “happy 4th of July” on July 3 on our way out (lol). Ambience was very good. Service was good but with an asterisk. *was asked if we wanted more bread when we had not yet gotten any to begin with. Minced garlic offer to go with bread was good when we did get bread. *my veal Marsala came with mushroom risotto. hubby’s dish of veal scaloppine piccata was supposed to come with garlic mashed potatoes but instead he got mushroom risotto. When we flagged this to the waiter, he said he chose that for him cause it was soooo much better than garlic mashed. Huh? Not cool. Hubby doesn’t like mushrooms. We let it slide. *dessert came 15-20 minutes after we got our espressos. Food/prices… green house mixed salad had wilted greens. Caesar salad entree was good though. Pitcher of sangria on menu showed $45 but were charged $50. It was not super tasty. Tasted like slightly fruity water. The recommended limoncello dessert was pretty good. Whipped meringue on side was tangy, cake was moist. All in all we were underwhelmed this time around.

A different experience

By McWett |

It is crowded, can be a bit noisy and reservations are a must. Once you’re ready to go text them for the pass word. You will know you’re not in a normal restaurant as soon as you enter. The frenetic pace seems disjointed but it is well orchestrated. Sitting at your table you expect to mobsters at every table, though you just might. Music on weekends enhance the experience. The food is good, the waiters friendly and once you are finished you can’t wait to bring some unsuspecting friends here as we do often. If you want an off the strip experience this is the place.

Pick somewhere else

By Havarosa |

Other than the unique entry, there is no reason to come all the way here. The food and timing of service were lacking in all respects. We were offered cocktails and they arrived half way through the meal. None of us wanted the cocktails at that point and I left half of mine, which was not a good cocktail to begin with. Server apologized twice but drinks should have been taken off the bill or food held back. The food (main course) arrived within minutes after ordering, which is never a good thing. The server tried to upsell everything, particularly the meatballs, which I agreed to add to my pasta but they were nothing to encourage people to have. They were dry and tasteless. The pasta was embarrassing for an Italian restaurant. Soggy, drenched in sauce, and we could have sworn the carbonara was pasta Alfredo but they said it was carbonara when it arrived. Really overpriced for the quality. Server did ask about unfinished meals and we probably should have told him why, but couldn’t be bothered at that point. Would not return. Really surprised at all the positive reviews.

So full... And so happy!

By Christopher G |

The food was spectacular! The live music was lovely. The magician (Wayne) was the perfect icing on the cake. All around, an amazing Thursday in Las Vegas!

MUST VISIT

By lionscop |

This was my second time visiting Capo’s and it did not disappoint. The ambience is absolutely amazing. The food is as good if not better than the atmosphere. The lasagna is an absolute must have. Take my advice and leave the strip to go to Capo’s.

Fun and delicious

By mamanole |

We were a little hesitant about going off the strip for dinner, but based on incredible recommendations from family members we did. Restaurant isca speakeasy with secret entry and live entertainment. Food from appetizers to salads and main dishes were fabulous. We wete too full for dessert. Highly recommend. Advanced reservations are a must!

Entertaining

By kylestates |

Love the atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door you feel emerged in the theme. Food was fantastic good portions. Service was great. But the singer Larry really made it stand out he matched the vibe perfectly. Definitely recommended.

Gone way downhill

By Gerry |

This used to be a wonderful restaurant. Now, they just dont care. Service was horribly slow and indifferent. The sides were cold and the steaks were like shoe leather, way over cooked. So many good steakhouses in Las Vegas. This is one to avoid.

Highly Recommended

By KSO1960 |

If you are in Vegas and want to eat well away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip, Capo's Restaurant!!! We found the restaurant via a platform. It looks rather inconspicuous from the outside, typically American. But inside it is a bit dark but very cozy. The entry procedure alone :-), but you'll be surprised. The food is typically American-Italian. Great value for money. You must try the meat balls. But be careful, the special sauce is something special. We'll be back.

Not as expected

By Robert H |

The food was enjoyable, and the service was adequate, but the Speakeasy atmosphere was underwhelming. The "ambiance" was nothing more than standard dim lighting—be sure to have your phone's flashlight handy just to read the menu. Cocktails were outrageously overpriced. A Manhattan on the rocks? $24—plus an extra $1 for the ice. Yes, you read that right. They charge an additional dollar for ice. Service left much to be desired. When a busboy was clearing dishes, one of our group accidentally spilled his wife's coffee. No one offered to assist or replace the drink—something we would expect from a fine dining establishment. The worst part? They presented a single check for our group of three couples, expecting us to sort out the bill among ourselves. While this may be common for large parties, for three couples, it was unacceptable—especially since they never informed us in advance. While these may seem like minor inconveniences to some, they highlight the difference between a truly fine dining experience and an average restaurant. We’ve crossed Capo’s Speakeasy off our list and won’t be returning—or recommending it to others.

A Place With A Difference.

By Mick0072013 |

Worth the drive to visit this amazing venue, furnished like an original prohibition Speakeasy. From having to announce yourself at the front door, being escorted to your seat and entertained by staff and musicians, this has it all. Options for Food and Beverages aplenty. Many thanks to all the staff.

Doesn't help that I'm married to a executive chef

By AandApark |

Capos seems like a fun place but the lighting is just too much! I couldn't even see what I was eating. I got piccata, which wasn't called that, with risotto. The chicken was great but the risotto was bland and almost dry. My husband had something to say about everything, but mostly he didn't like that they didn't call things by their right name. The biggest disappointment was the drinks. If you order anything, do wine or beer. I ordered a basil hayden's on the rocks and it came as 4 ice cubes dipped in bourbon with water in it. All in all the food was good and the waiter being a little rude in a gangster kind of way was fun. The singer was awesome and added so much to experience.

Wonderful but they should not charge extra for bread. That's just wrong!!

By Adventure24954327374 |

I love the atmosphere here and the food is excellent. I love that they have live entertainment too. I have to say that I was really not happy that they actually charged extra for the bread that is usually complimentary in most restaurants. I mean come on an Italian restaurant always serves bread with the meal and never heard of being charged for the bread. The cocktails are a bit pricey but they are very good.

This Restaurant is a Vegas Must!!

By Tracey C |

I hadn't been to Vegas in 6 years and wanted to have my hubby experience the old Vegas Rat-Pack/Mob feel. Love this restaurant and it still has great food, great service, great entertainment and the same great personality and atmosphere!! Great job as always!!

So much fun!

By Mary Z |

This place was so much fun! The greeting from the sliding window in the door started our night off with lots of laughter. Our waiter was fantastic, we could tell he enjoyed his job immensely. The food and drinks were fabulous. We had a magician stop by our table who had us all tricked. Great fun! Great food!

Classic Vegas Dining

By sam280_ |

Last minute reservation. Arrived about 5:15 to a near empty parking lot, not realizing the entrance was not in the normal spot. Once inside with the password, we were sat and crooned by a Sinatra style singer, who sang the classics and also Christmas tunes. Service provided by ‘the Sandman’ and we had meals of cheese bread, lasagna, and the carbonara pasta. All winners. Drinks were fast and plentiful. Bus staff clears and makes room on each visit. Solid place to dine, large bar, and live entertainment makes this a candidate for a future visit. Glad we stopped.

After 10 years of all amazing experiences. It’s over.

By Bingitt |

We have been to Capo’s at a minimum of 25 times over the past decade. I brought my uncle, my friends from Europe, from Seattle, California, Colorado, we had birthdays, celebrations, business meetings, family get togethers, danced to the live music . Without skipping a beat this was our Vegas restaurant. Today we walked into a changed menu, out of ribeye, only 3-4 types of pasta available, no more angel hair, our favorite things are off the menu, the entree does not come with soup or salad anymore (totally fine and understandable) we would have added it, but they are out of the pasta faggiole (never happened before). The silverware we had to ask for was used!!!! And at that point, we just asked for the bill. And left. I cannot in good conscience bring anyone here anymore. They did not care. Heart broken. Goodbye Capo’s. It’s been amazing! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Two thumbs way up

By dibeals |

The ambiance is so fun, the music is great and the food is unbelievably good. Fresh hot bread, and fresh hot pasta. Highly recommend

Phenomenal Meatballs!

By Brad S |

Ate a Christmas Eve dinner here with the wife in 2021. From the outside the building looks like a closed business. Very cool how you enter the establishment and great ambiance. Very dark inside w/ live music which added to the experience. Must try the homemade meatballs - the chicken parmigiana was unreal! We sat at the bar which didn't take away from any part of the evening and our waiter Brandon was great! Dinner for two with one alcoholic drink and a water was 75 without a tip. Cannot split meals and the portions were huge!

People upset that the guy in the front is rude are laughable. They don't realize they do that on purpose to make it authentic. It's funny that they give a bad review bc of it lol it's great. The food is as well and the drinks plus entertainment , sure it's loud but it's fun.

Glad to be off strip in Vegas it was getting old fast. A friend recommended this spot to me so we took a chance. Fun entrance first off. They has a wonderful male vocalist the night we went. Food was great, service was fast and friendly. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere of old Vegas..
