The less upscale brother of Cappys sits out in from of it on Broadway. Cappycinnos has good pizza and sandwiches plus beer and wine. mid cost.

Cheers on TV, everyone is welcome at Capycino's the old standard for the AH area.....from the nachos to the burger and all served with a friendly waitstaff

Guest of relatives in the San Antionia area, we had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. We would have like to eat outdoors, but it was fully occupied. We were surprised to see so many seafood dishes on the menu. My scallops were deicious. Another family member had the seafood assortment, another sturgeon, and one had steak. We had no complaints. The food was served promptly. For dessert I chose "sticky toffee pudding", a tradional English dessert I was surprised to see it on the menu. The pudding was good, but they drowned it in too much caramel sauce. I would go back again.

Just had the nicest long lunch catching up with a dear friend - with terrific salads and then sticky toffee pudding and crepes. Certainly the most elegant bistro in town!

We go here often and enjoy the service, food and atmosphere. They serve sandwiches, pizza, soups, salads and nightly specials. Service is normally good. Most of the dishes are good to quite good. The drinks are on the expensive side for a neighborhood bar, but the food prices are reasonable.

One of San Antonio's dining gems. But with no surprise, the local Lawton family have a sterling reputation for exceptional food and service (both Cappy's and La Fonda on Main are also top ten SA restaurant venues). Cappyccino's is a bar/bistro nestled within trendy Alamo Heights sharing a patio with the reknowned Cappy's. It is valued priced and the service and food are excellent. Menu offerings as the spicy posole mexican soup, and entrees as the fish tacos, and the shrimp & spinach quesadillas were $12 and all outstanding choices. The meal including dessert and drinks totalled ~$52. Arriving early (5:30pm) beats the crowds. Parking is behind the restaurants, but lunch crowds may require street parking. Whether visiting SA or looking for local dining, Cappyccino's is truly worth the experience...and ask for Trevor (owner/manager) to share yours.

I was absolutely dumbfounded by my brief visit to this location. We arrived, and told the server that we had five. She traded us off to a young gentleman at the back of the restaurant. He said sit wherever we would like and left. There was not one seat at all. It was absolutely 199 percent occupied in the whole restaurant. We waited a minute or two. We sure he would come back. We saw there was no one out on the patio area. Our family started walking in that direction. Another employee snapped that no one could go out there. My husband and I looked at each other in disbelief and left. Our family frequently eats out. It is an indulgence that we love! The point beling: we've eaten at many restaurants. I can honestly say I have never experienced or even heard of anything like this happening.

Visited San Antonio for a few days with friends and my goal was to eat as much Tex Mex as possible. This restaurant has a very diverse menu but the soup was fantastic and the nachos were pretty good. I think this is a good choice if not everyone in your group wants Hispanic food.

This is a great place to have a pizza. It's rare that you can have martinis and pizzas at the same restaurant. This one has a great bar and great food.

Great place for lunch or causal dinner/drinks. Great service. Delicious food. Bar area is fun. Bartenders know how to make some fantastic drinks. Highly recommend.

Great food and location. Good prices. Casual yet dressy enough for business. Great service, very friendly.

Four stars for classic cocktails (try the Moscow Mule, skip the Ramos Gin Fizz, and avoid the Sazerac), crepes to wet your pants over (figuratively) and decently priced entrees considering the ZIP code.

Amazing food interesting flavors! Great recommendations from the staff. Great atmosphere on the patio. We had the rib-eye and tenderloin. Perfection!!

It was great. My new favoritest resturant! The Mojito was incredible. The turkey cobb sandwich was most heavenly. Soup of day was very good. Burger in the Rye was a nice twist on the traditional rueben sandwich. All service was friendly and attentive, maybe a little slow. Great atmosphere. Only complaints are the hours aren't posted and a place call Cappyccino's SHOULD be open before 11am and should be open on Sundays! That's why it took us so long to catch this place open. We will go back ... regularly!

We were so happy to find this oasis in Alamo Heights after escaping the parade craziness downtown. Our server was warm and personable--his recommendations were spot on. They kindly hurried out the meals for our 2 worn out kids. We loved the 3 pigs pizza and poblano soup special. The atmosphere is comfortable--cozy, and not loud. If we lived in San Antonio, we would be regulars at Cappycino's!

Cappy's less stuffy younger brother, Cappyccino's has great food in a casual setting. We loved everything we ordered. Peter our waiter was fantastic. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Stopped in here for lunch. I had a pizza with artichokes and Brie cheese. Sounds a little odd, but this unusal rectangle shaped personal size pizza hit the spot! Nice small bistro atmosphere with a reasonable menu that won't take you all day to read . I'll be back.

This is basically the burger and a beer version of the Cappy's restaurant next door. While Cappy's (same owners last I checked) has good food and we highly recommend that place as well, we actually preferred Cappyccino's for a few reasons. 1 - The food was good as well, but the prices were lower in general. 2 - The ambiance is more low key and relaxed. 3 - Bar tenders and servers there are great. I absoloutely love their veggie burger which I usually hate at a restaurant. They make fantastic crepes (nutella ones are the best!) and have an extensive drink menu.

Very inviting casual atmosphere with wonder use of old pine and natural lighting. Long bar with wonderful selection of liquors and some locally brewed beers. A place where the locals go. The place is not very large and offers a half dozen small booth for two and about the same in tables. The food is always good and the servers are wonderful. A favorite place of mine to have a meal and say howdy to friends. Also features a rotating show of local artist works.

This is our definite go to place for family, friends and date night. The service is always friendly, the food is consistently good and the ambiance is nice. It’s not too loud so you can actually enjoy a pleasant conversation.

Cappyccino's is a place you will see someone you know. I went today for lunch and all the tables were taken. Food is consistently good, service is friendly and the energy is great.

Sat at the bar. Ordered two drinks. Ate some of the loaded 'potato chips' which were very good. Their menu looked good, but we had reservations elsewhere so we didn't eat here. They were busy, so it must be good.

I'm loving these coffeeshop/awesome restaurants/bars that San Antonio has. While Candlelight may win on night-time atmosphere, Cappyccino's has a more extensive menu and the food is just excellent. It sports a full lineup of coffee drinks and also has a full bar -- but has an open airy atmosphere that's fine for family's as well. It is close to the McNay art museum and zoo, so if you are in the area, this is the perfect place to stop for lunch or dinner.

The food was certainly not bad, but wasn't quite good. I had a grilled cheese (they give it a fancier name, I forget). In any case, the bread was too buttery. They called the chips "hand cut chips" and all that means is that they cut the potatoes before deep frying them and then they cover the plate in them to make you feel you are getting a great value when in fact you are just getting a plate of greasy chips with a greasy sandwich and a ton of calories for $8.95. I only had tea, but I noticed every other diner had a bottle of wine, so I think that the food is really just an after thought, even to the customers. I overheard a woman at the next table order "the veggie burger, oh, but without the bun."

Cappyccino's consistently has great service, delicious food, and a casual atmosphere perfect for visiting with friends or family. I've never had a disappointing meal and some of the specials are amazing!

Great drinks and gourmet bar/food. I can't get enough Of the homemade potato chips with blue cheese!

Always consistent flavor. You know what you are going to get. Trendy spot that's been around for a long time. Delicious drinks- good food, generous portions, friends and laughter- a true gathering spot!

Had a great business meeting here, well staffed, friendly servers, and flavorful eats. I would strongly recommend this place to friends and coworkers. The menu selection is just right, not too many items, and the items they do have, they do them very well. Worth the trip.

Great food - quite unique and creative! Antelope Burger was yummy - others had turkey cobb and the sandwich du jour - soup too - all plentiful and very well done! We will return!

we had dessert and coffee here after eating at Cappy's next door. i had the Warm Chocolate Cake and Custard. it was the BEST! the cake was massive and had huge pecans on top. tasted like it just came out of the oven. they serve the ice cream on the side which is even better so it doesn't mess your cake up. i also had a vanilla latte that would put Starbucks out of business AND slap ya momma at the same time! it was great. the bartender is the cook is the barista is the cashier. he did it all and it was so great. i wish we would have been able to eat a whole meal there. they had a stone fire oven and everyone else in the place looked really happy eating. =) my husband had a frozen expresso and it was pretty yummy too!

Great meeting spot in the heart of Alamo Heights on Broadway. Service is attentive and the decor is bright and happy inside. Table set up allows for people to converse without being on top of someone else.

It's hard to pick a favorite here, as all the food is SO GOOD!!! A quaint, quiet atmosphere with wonderful food, including salads, sandwiches, desserts, coffee & wine! Dine "al fresco" on the patio with a nice glass of wine! Ahhh - I'm in heaven!

Good local haunt. Ftriendly service, excellent bartender. Great food available from Cappy's next door.

Great bar drinks, good beer and wine lists, wood burning pizza oven, classic crepe maker, burgers, soups, salads, sandwiches- that's what this place is all about. Most of the tables here are for 2 people, there is a long bar, and then some tables for parties of 4 to 6 people in the back. Service was a bit slow and our food came out at different times, but everything we had was tasty. The pizzas are huarache styled, my Mediterranean grilled cheese was delicious, the crepes and chocolate cake were just so so good! This is also the kind of place that you can go to alone, read a paper, have an excellent coffee and hang out. I wish they were open on Sunday!

After 3 years, I'm returning to San Antonio and looking forward to the re-opening of Cappyccino's. It was a favorite when we were here before. The crepes are amazing.

We were optimistic when we had a hard time finding a place to park, but it was well worth driving around to the back. We had a delicious meal of fish tacos and a burger, followed by scrumptious dessert crepes. We were actually disappointed that we wouldn't be able to return for another meal. Outdoor seating is available, too.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! The atmosphere is modern and inviting. The staff is friendly, warm, and extremely caring. The food...where do I begin! You can order from here and cappy's which is right next door. Lots of choices and large plates. The food was so tasty! I highly recommend this restaurant :)

My husband grew up in Alamo Heights & we always stop here when we're in town. Love the food & the ambience! We usually go in the afternoon after the lunch rush when we can relax at one of the tables by the front window. Have liked everything we've ever ordered here! We love Cappyccino's!

A delightful evening at a most welcoming restaurant! You often see the advertisements for restaurants that show people having a convivial time, but seldom do you actually find such a place. We did! From the time we entered Cappycino’s until we left, we were impressed with what a fun and friendly restaurant this was. Families, couples, friends, everyone was interacting with each other and the vibe welcoming. We came to dinner after seeing the “Illumination” at the San Antonio Garden Center. Wile the restaurant was packed, the staff immediately cleared a table for us. We had a very nice Oregon pinot noir along with their delicious mushroom burger and a good reuben sandwich, finishing with the sticky pudding. What really set the evening apart for us was the manager, Luigi, who was friendly, genuine, and truly engaging throughout our time at Cappycino’s. He was absolutely charming! I’ve always been a fan of Cappy’s from my time living in San Antonio through many visits over the years, but I’ve never had such a good time - both my meal and the ambience. If I lived in the Alamo Heights area, this restaurant would become my “local” spot.

I love this little gem of a restaurant, next door to its parent restaurant, Cappy's. Delicious and unique sandwiches, salads, snacks and beverages. Their soups are always good!

The only thing I can really say about this place is that I don't remember anything significant about it. Most places will leave you some kind of indelible impression, and Cappycino's didn't do that for me. While the portion sizes are good, there seems to be a sense of staleness in the air. The only hint of real personality came from other patrons, and who wants to have to strain to hear what's going on at another table, not that it's THAT hard. The tables are literally 2 and 3 feet away from each other. The two pluses were that the Tea was good and they had a great selection of breads for their sandwiches, however, a few sugar free dessert options wouldn't kill them. Then maybe they could charge less for a glass of tea and refills.

Nice area, located by Cappy's, the larger, full menu restaurant. We just wanted a quick lunch so we chose Cappyccino's and it was great. Definitely try the "white nachos"!

Food was good, location was nice, but the service was simply amazing! Our waitress, Heather, was sweet, kind, generous! Really appreciated her. We were out to dinner with our newborn and she made sure everything was just perfect! Thanks Heather for helping a tired mama feel great!

I like going here whenever I'm in San Antonio. It's next to Cappy's and is it's "downmarket" sibling. The atmosphere is more casual and it has salads, pizzas and sandwiches. Oh, and a great bar. I'm here either for lunch or around 9:30 or 10pm for a late night dinner and drinks. You might find a some Alamo Heights hipsters (what few there are) here.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. The tables are small and intimate and it is a great place to meet with friends.

I decided to try Cappyccino's because the Thai place next door wasn't open. Their loss is Cappyccino's gain. The poblano and chicken quesadilla is a good choice, however I would argue that there were any poblano peppers inside. The side salad was also top notch. None of that iceberg lettuce crap.

Wonderful service and a really great menu. Food was well presented and very tasty. Highly recommend!

A long time favorite of ours, Cappyccino's is an Alamo Heights bistro with a very well stocked bar and great food, plus outstanding ambiance. Long and narrow, with a bar on one side and booths along the other, and tables at each end, it features photographic art from local photographers, which changes every month or so. The Shrimp and Spinach Quesadilla appetizer is fantastic--it is enough for a main course if you are eating light. Always ask to sample the soup of the day -- these are always creative and interesting sounding combinations, such as celery root and tomatoes, and usually make a gastronomically satisfying complement to a burger or sandwich selection. The Mediterranean Ham & Cheese is another favorite. So are the gourmet pizzas. These and various other selections are cooked in a wood fired oven, which adds a great flavor. Accompany the food with a Cranberry Lemonade if you are the designated driver, otherwise there are enough wine, beer and mixed drank selections to find almost anything you like and several you might want to explore. If you are inclined toward more formal dining, you can go right next door to Cappy's and select from patio seating or a moderately upscale inside dining area on two levels. The food is equally good.

Oh-Nine is the local term applied to this upscale area of San Antonio (zip code is 09xxx). Cappyccino's is a favorite spot of ours for a light meal and great service and ambiance. Especially late at night when other than fast food places are usually closed. It has a well stocked bar and a wood fired oven for pizzas, burgers and more. Shrimp and Spinach Quesadillas are, among other dishes, especially delicious. The ambiance is enhanced by a knowledgeable and friendly waitstaff, natural wood furnishings, an excellent range of "good food fast" choices (apologies to EZs for lifting their motto), and an interesting original photographic art display of\\by local talent. Also try the specialty pizzas, wierd-sounding but delicious burgers (including veggie) and crepes. Also try Cappy's next door for patio and upscale dining.

had been too Cappy's many times but never its little brother. Neat ambience with great food and good waitstaff.

Menu is good, service is good, atmosphere is good. Place is just good. Highly recommend! Parking is limited in front, so save yourself some trouble and park in back.

I just had an excellent ham and cheese sandwich at Cappyccinos, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the gulf shrimp pizza - there was plenty of food for three, and we also enjoyed the apple crisp for desert. The atmosphere is modern, light, and airy, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The bar is well stocked, and there is a very pleasant patio outside. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

After several hours of shopping for my DIL to be wedding dress with her and her bridesmaids we went to lunch at Cappyccinos. The girls were mostly from out of state and I wanted a special place to celebrate her saying "yes to the dress"! The service was great, the food was awesome. The waiter overheard our toasting the bride to be, and threw in a wonderful dessert for everyone! Most of us had the soup and entree lunch which was plentiful. I recommend the fish tacos and the roasted red pepper soup.

Delicious food in a fun, upbeat environment. Everything on the menu is delicious! We love their fish tacos and their veggie burger the best, but their hamburgers are out of this world, too!

Fun menu with everything freshly prepared to order. Lindsey, our Server, was professional and personable. We had two different pizzas, a Reuben and chicken sandwiches...all were excellent. The house soup was very very good. And for desert we split a Salted carmel toffee cake/tart that had us all exclaiming it's divine goodness ! ! ! We hope you like it as much as we did !

Excellent menu of sandwiches and great service. I had the Shrimp Quesadilla and my friend had the Chicken salad sandwich. Definitely not your ordinary sandwich place, food was prepared perfectly with care and ingredients that really stood out. Definitely will return.

Had a little party here after a reception. The staff was inviting, we had a great time. I would definitely invite small (around 8-10 people). I love the food and the atmosphere. Great sandwiches and snacks. The desert crepes are my favorite!

We live within walking distance of Cappyccino's. It's a nice place to go for a good, lighter meal. Soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and wood fired pizzas are the on the menu, along with a full bar if you care for a libation. I have had the Margherita pizza which was very good and makes a nice appetizer for two. I especially like their Reuben sandwich, which features red kraut instead of the traditional sauerkraut, and this makes for a nice twist on the classic reuben. I always ask for extra Russian dressing which is not a problem. You have your choice of chips, potato salad or house salad with the sandwiches or burgers. I recommend the potato or house salad. Hubby had the "fun guy burger," which consists of a burger with grilled mushrooms, poblano and onions, and fontina cheese. Quite tasty. We like Cappyccinos. It's relaxing, and the food and service are very good.

I have been going here since they first opened, which has been, what? 20 years?? Oh, Lord! The food has always been good, the atmosphere pleasant, the drinks excellent. They even serve Moscow Mules in real copper cups. I doubt that your average tourist would or could find it, but if you're from here, take the time. You'll be glad you did.

Oh where to begin. Location? Offerings? Drinks? Atmosphere? So many choices here. Nestled in Alamo Heights on Broadway sits a "store-front" bar/restaurant called Cappyccino's. Walk-in, grab a seat, here comes the excellent service. Servers are tentative and polite. Their menu in the evening offers a good selection. Soups, salads, pizza, crepes, its all there. Nutella Crepes are the secret. Delicious! Pricing is average. $20 for two (depends on drinks). Their bar is stocked very well. They have just about everything. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I recommend 100%.

Cappyccino's is a nice place for a light dinner and/or drinks in Alamo Heights. It's a quiet but not dull place with a variety of customers. Staff is friendly and attentive!

I very often take clients here for coffee, lunch, or beer...depending on the client and the situation. Full bar + decent selection of beer and wine but ask your serve what's fresh (not every beer qualifies). Expensive: my cheeseburger (+ small side) was $13+... but it was delicious -- perhaps my favorite burger in SA. Several good sandwiches on the regular menu + specials. I would skip the pizza here. Overall, good service and good atmosphere. Superior cappuccino.

We have visited Cappyccinos many times. A small place on Broadway in Alamo Heights, the bar is great, with wine, mixed drinks, beer on tap, and many liqueurs. The best thing is the menu. There are staples, but once in a while new things are added. I love the white nachos, and my wife likes the veggie burger. Anyone would feel welcome here, and the service is great. I highly recommend it

Staff very friendly, Asian salad very good and light. Toffee pudding was outstanding! Definitely will be going back!

Menu was good but limited. Small restaurant, very busy at lunch, great servers, timely service from order to table. Hard to find though! Use your GPS and don't count on seeing their sign. In a very safe and upscale part of town. Good place for a business lunch.

Have been coming here for years, stopped in for lunch while in town overnight! Still the same wonderful food & stellar service! Love it!

If you're in the mood for soup and sandwich in a casual setting, and don't want to splurge on Cappy's (the family's restaurant next door), then Cappyccino's is the place. Good food, decent prices.

Had lunch at this locals restaurant and was impressed with the service and food. The atmosphere is a bit quirky. The host and wait staff were the friendliest group I have ever experienced. When I asked how the tortilla soup was prepared they brought me a sample, which I loved and ordered. Sandwiches were excellent. When the waiter asked if we were visiting I told them we were moving to San Antonio and he brought us a hot brownie and ice cream dessert. Nice!!!

Reliably good soups, sandwiches, and pizzas. You will definitely enjoy your meal. Pleasant wait staff. Casual. Has a Nice bar, good coffee and teas

We have made more than one visit to this cool, little Alamo Heights cafe and have enjoyed it every time. The service is quick and friendly and the waiters are extremely helpful. Although the menu is small, everything we have tried has been outstanding. The specialty pizzas are great, especially the "Poblano shrimp, The Three Little Pigs and the Margherita. The burgers are also quite good. I recommend the Fun Guy Burger and the Broken Arrow Antelope Burger. The Mediterranean Ham and Cheese grill is another good choice. Their specialty drinks are pretty good as well although the Pesco Sour could use a little work. Cappycino's is a great place for a really nice meal in a quiet, comfortable setting. It has become one of our San Antonio favorites.

Cute, light, open decor. Very comfortable . Food was very good. Wife and I enjoyed quesadillas and a veggie burger. Both excellent, with a side salad versus chips. Chips looked great and home made but the lemon vinegarette dressing was definitely a winner.

We were looking for Cappyccino's and wandered into Cappy's Restaurant next door unknowingly. Once we realized where we were (we had already been seated) we asked and the maitre d' very kindly directed us across the patio to Cappyccino's. The food was awesome, the people were the friendliest and somehow word had gotten passed that this was our first time here -- free dessert was offered. All in all it was a most pleasant experience.
That's a tasty burger
I like burgers, and the "Fun Guy Burger" is a very tasty burger (although maybe not as tasty as a "Big Kahuna Burger," which I have to admit I've never tried). Maybe it's all the grilled 'shrooms, maybe it's the fontina cheese, maybe it's the grilled poblano and onions, whatever, it's tasty...even the side of chips was good. And my partner enjoyed a very good soup (pozole verde) and salad. The pozole verde, in fact, was outstandingly good. Shouldn't have, but we also splurged for two desserts, the chocolate cake (which came with vanilla bean ice cream) and the sticky toffee pudding, which came with butterscotch brandy sauce. I think we may have licked the plates... Cappyccino's is right next door to Cappy's, with the same owners. Haven't been to Cappy's yet, but will go sometime for dinner...or else back to Cappyccino's if it's lunchtime. Certainly worth repeated visits!
