Loved this place!!! It’s amazing!!! They have the best service. Their Menu is outstanding!!! I had the best ever spaghetti with short rib that was absolutely delicious!!!! The mignon was cooked to perfection and their bread OMG!!! Also they have a very nice bar!!! Would go back any time!!!

Cardellino (Goldfinch in Italian) is the newest addition to the Trust Restaurant Group. Following the fast casual trend it offers dining from early morning to evening with a menu that includes fresh bakery options early on to full Italian meals later in the day. After ordering at the counter, your meal is delivered to tables either inside or outside the restaurant. Everything is made fresh, including all of the bakery and dessert items thanks to a large bakery that serves the entire Trust Group. There is a full bar and a substantial wine list. Pizzas are popular as are pasta dishes.. Brunch is served on weekends. Prices are reasonable, service is efficient and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Recommended.

Great food, but service can be uneven. We’ve been a few times. Pastas are sublime. Somehow Cardellino’s pastas are beyond everyone else’s. Maybe it’s the ingredients that are superbly combined or the ingredients themselves. Even though I’m not a meat eater, I love their meats. Somehow they just taste delicious and I’m a believer in meat. Again, the chefs know how to prepare and cook them.

I’m not a meat eater but Cardellino can make you a believer. At the table, we start with scrumptious meatballs, again not something I would order.But just taste them, and you’re converted. Others enjoy the lamb lollipops. Each couple shares a different cut of meat. Ours is the filet mignon and it’s perfect, moist, delicious. We also share a mushroom ravioli and it has to be the best I’ve ever tasted and we’ve eaten pasta in Italy too. It’s rich, smooth, flavourful and you can taste the chopped mushrooms in the pasta sacs. It’s a wonderful side to the meat. My least favourite is the carrot cake. It’s good but the icing is very slightly mushy. And when the rest is perfection, one expects the same excellence that surpasses all other cakes one has eaten. Maybe my standard was too high for the cake, but this meal, particularly for someone whose not a meat aficionado, was outstanding. Noise level is also intense.

Absolutely fabulous! The flavors, the textures, the service, the ambiance. Probably one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Seriously. We just popped in randomly for a “family style” meal - the meatballs were EXCELLENT, great bread and an amazing shrimp pasta. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but don’t hesitate.

My friend and I met for lunch at your restaurant yesterday. What a wonderful experience. The menu was well appointed, and the service was excellent. My friend had the delicious Chicken Avocado salad. It was abundant and fresh. I had the very best hamburger I’ve ever had, EVER! The beef was such good quality and the accompaniments just oozed onto that fabulous brioche bun and out from the burger, ……just as it should be. Delicious! The fries were crispy, herbed perfectly and delicious, as well. Geff, (with a G) our server was terrific. He was upbeat, helpful, and his timing was perfect. We even thanked him for actually returning to work. It was so nice to hear he was happy to be working and told us he’d even be there for the dinner service, and invited us back. We wanted ice tea but didn’t want black iced tea, which was your only choice. He recommended a French herbal tea, steeped it for us, brought us a glass of ice, and created our French herbal iced tea. Nice twist . He went the extra mile. Thank you for providing us with a perfect lunch experience. We have already passed along the word and will definitely be back. Best Regards, CR
