Good vegetarian options outside of salad -- eggplant bacon! We sat outside, which is right next to the sidewalk Service was friendly

It is a very nice restaurant. Our waitress is one of the best we have had so far in Texas. Her name is Ana Maria. Even though they told us with 6 people, there is a 20% service charge built in to the bill, she was still very polite and professional. I think she deserves all the tips they asked for.

The food and service were fine. Selection is limited. The coffee is horrible! Both at the coffee bar and the restaurant the coffee is weak and bland!!!!

I ate here last night and it was so good I came back for lunch today! Austin is my server today and is wonderful.

Great service! My corn cake benedict was excellent; the eggs were cooked perfectly! I should have asked for salsa, because it needed a little kick, but I like everything spicy. My friend had huevos ranchers w/chicken sausage, which she also liked. Our coffee was also good. Good social distancing, we felt very safe. Also, we lingered after we finished, but weren't rushed. I'd definitely go back! 🍳🌽🍅🥑🌶

Be careful with this place. They check the gratuity and come to the table and obliges you give 20%. The food is not to extraordinary and the service was not 5 stars.

Came here for breakfast. Wide variety of food which was very good. The waitress was excellent. Had a light breakfast of fresh fruit and yogurt. Good lite breakfast. Had english tea which came in a novel tea pot.

So good! Aaron made great recommendations and we loved it! Yummy pancakes, mexican latte and huevos ranchers! Definitely try it out.

I had high hopes for this place because of the reviews but my experience was not good. First, our waitress was visibly disappointed when we declined to order alcohol and I feel her poor service after that was a direct result of her thinking the bill wouldn't be high enough to earn her attention. We were absolutely ignored to the point it became comical. I ordered their namesake salad which was fresh and a good size, but was so heavily dressed I could only eat a fraction of it. My friend ordered the roasted chicken sandwich with fries. She enjoyed the sandwich and said the chicken was nicely cooked but the fries were stone cold. Not even kidding! They were COLD when the plate was put down but we never saw the waitress again until I finally flagged her down for the bill. She eventually brought the check but didn't take the payment so we waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. Is this one of those places where you pay elsewhere (like First Watch)? I went to the hostess station and waited for someone to notice. Our waitress noticed! How lucky to finally have her attention. She asked if I wanted change... ah, yes, I want change, you're not getting a 30% tip for the third worst service I've ever had lol. There are soooo many fantastic restaurants in Austin with friendly, happy staff there's no need to deal with mediocre food and terrible service.

Good food with fast and friendly service from Aaron.

I had a great time at Caroline! The atmosphere and service was amazing. I would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Came here to re-live our first date in Austin. Of course this wasn't here, however it was close to our destination (The Elephant Lounge). The food was amazing!

Food was average to good but the management needs to council Lance who was our waiter. He was super short with us and when I asked him for an additional plate and he acted extremely annoyed. After picking up our plates, we were going to order some dessert and a cocktail but he just brought us our check, so the restaurant lost out on additional income due to this incompetent and I'll mannered employee. My suggestion to the management is better oversight and better onboarding training. This review may not accomplishment anything but as a business Owner I always welcome critics and reviews to provide the ultimate service to the public.

Reviews were spot on. They had delicious food and a great selection of breakfast items. Aaron was a fabulous servicer, very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back!

This restaurant is centrally located, right on the corner so easy to find. Parking might be an issue but we walked. The decor is very nice and clean looking with comfortable chairs. The menu is limited but we thoroughly enjoyed the items we chose. Wine is a little overpriced. The service was excellent and prompt.

Food was great and the service (Aaron) was exceptional. Will come back next time I am in the area. Great location in the city

We tried Caroline while traveling to Austin with friends. We had a great breakfast and the service was great. Aaron gave us great recommendations.

Aaron was my waiter, and he had great recommendations- try their twist on the eggs bene- kept the coffee hot and the food was quick, even on a busy morning.

Unbelievable service from top to bottom. Sit in Jordan's section. Food was amazing, Great drinks. Weird bathroom situation, not his fault.

We were greeted in a friendly matter, allowed us to change our party to another table. Had the huevos rancheros changed the eggs for poach and was amazed by the presentation seasoning and taste Everybody had an amazing plate of food Prices were $ to $$

The food was incredible. Service was really nice and had a great time even with a small menu. Definitely coming back for a second round.

Great service! Hannah was amazing! She did an amazing job at providing anything we needed and was so nice! The atmosphere was exquisitely exquisite

Really cute place with a great atmosphere. We came here for brunch and everyone enjoyed their meal. We all got different things and no complaints from the group, service was good. Our waiter was kind and friendly. Good prices for fresh, good quality food.

Amazing Service by Sebastian! Thank you! Will comeback! The customer service was great. And the food was delicious. See you soon

Great food, great aesthetics, and friendly staff on top of it, all in downtown Austin ! Highly recommend !

very very tuff restaurant. def reccomend if u want to gain aura points. fresh food and healthy choices. i ate my entire bowl of yogurt, except some of the berries. half of the yogurt was just berries, not really yogurt. still good tho

Great spot for lunch, everything was delicious and service as good. They did bring us the wrong appetizer but we never said anything bc we wanted to try that one too 🤪

Food was great! Aaron, our server, was really nice and approachable! He makes sure that he accommodates us of what we need.

You know, a place in a hotel probably shouldn’t be this good. We had biscuits and gravy, bacon, side potatoes, and huevos rancheros. All were excellent and our server Aaron was fantastic.

I didn't speak out today because I was a lunch guest of a friend, but the experience was bad. The mahi on top of the Caroline salad was way overcooked, dry and not warm. Waitress spilled diet coke on my shirt and didn't do anything but apologize and bring me an extra dry napkin. This has been one of my go to spots for lunch downtown, but not any more.

Limited menu. Poor waitstaff service. Appetizer came after the entree (had to remind them of appetizer). Took long for refill request. Waitress not available most of the time even though we were next to kitchen. Chicken sausage no flavor. Would NOT recommend this place for breakfast. Overall breakfast average to below taste

We had lunch at the restaurant, which is located in the Aloft Element Hotel on Congress Avenue. Snacks, salads, sandwiches and full plates are on the menu. Good drinks including draft beer are available too. We enjoyed very good service and the food too was very good.

Breakfast was pretty bad. Coffee looked like tea. Very good watered down. Pancakes were soggy and the sausage is so big you need to put it in a bun and serve it with a beer. Eggs were runny and bacon was burned. All all not worth the $80

Caroline was a perfect Sunday brunch spot for friends family and all inbetween. Walk ins weren’t an issue for our 7 person group. We had Aaron serve us and he was great! The cinnamon rolls are delish as well as the rest of the meal

Quick overnight trip from Dallas on an elementary school field trip. Really enjoyed the state capital tour, Intercontinental Hotel and right across the street a fabulous, not-too-large breakfast. My mother had hard poached eggs Benedict on corn cakes and I enjoyed the crunchy huevos rancheros. Dark, bold coffee and orange juice. Nice, clean, busy, “upscale Austin” restaurant adjoining the ALoft Hotel. I will definitely go back.

Aaron was extremely helpful and polite in his responses to menu questions. Best breakfast service and taste was incredible

Food is great, cozy ambiance, don’t miss the marshmallow latte and if you are Mexican like me…ask for the jalapeños to spice it up!

Aaron was an excellent server and the food was very good. The breakfast sandwich is a great choice as well as the pancakes.

My wife and I were looking for a reasonably priced, vegetarian-fish eating restaurant and we found it at Caroline. We sat outside; inside was colder and noisier. The menu is limited by had 4 or 5 mains for dinner that worked and salads that could have added salmon or whatever. The quinoa chile was accompanied by a generous salad and was good and properly spicy. The Caroline salad with salmon was fine. The service was very good and cheerful. My chile was no longer hot when it got to the table, but it was warm enough. The alcohol selection is adequate although only two beers on tap and a bit pricey at $8.00 per beer. Overall, very satisfactory. I would return to try some other dishes.

The atmosphere and service of the restaurant was great. Food was eh. My Mahi was so over cooked to the point it was inedible and my husband's food had chicken bones in it.

The food and atmosphere was very good! It had an upscale vibe to the restaurant but was extremely reasonably priced. I got the enchiladas and they were really good!

We were seated quickly. Our server, Aaron, did an excellent job. He was so pleasant and attentive! Food came out quickly as well.

Stopped in to Caroline for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Staff was very welcoming and we had a table in a short time. Nice open design for the dining space, very comfortable. Service was attentive, and our meals came without much wait. My wife had the Caroline salad and loved it. Nice selection of greens, vegetables, and fruit with balsamac. I had the Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich. Basic sandwich idea, but the bacon, with the aged cheddar cheese sauce took this to another level.

Justin at Caroline’s in Austin was super sweet, easy to talk to, and really attentive without being over the top. He made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming and took great care of me at the bar. Great energy and great service definitely recommend sitting at the bar if he’s working. I’m possibly moving to Austin, and he was so helpful with info about the city!

Great place. Breakfast omelette ham and cheese with potatoes was very tasty and the coffee was great. Staff were very helpful and kind. Despite being very busy they found me a clean table and JT was an excellent server who got my food and coffee promptly. Well done to all the team and the staff in the kitchen. Will come again.

Wonderful food and service! Aaron was an attentive server and made sure we had an excellent experience dining here. The ricotta pancakes are probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Would absolutely come back.

Had a great lunch at Carolines. Delicious food. Our waiter was knowledgeable about he area and made great recommendation. Find the rest room was a maze. Not very convenient.

Best pancakes ever!!! Found Caroline’s on trip advisor and have really enjoyed the experience! Our server Aaron was very helpful and friendly- which is always appreciated! My hubby had eggs and bacon and that was cooked really well too! Nice buzzing atmosphere for a great breakfast!

Walter was an awesome server - made the experience fun. Champ is the chef - incredible - great recommends and special-requests. Will come back.

Food was good! Quick to come out. Wait time went by much faster than expected. Enjoyed the cocktails. A good experience for a group of friends

The marshmallow latte was good!! Has more of a coffee flavor. The smoothie was also good! The cinnamon roll however was delicious and waiter Aaron was excellent!!!

This was a fun little place. We were on foot and had our pup with us and this place had a patio and could get us right in. They had some fun twists on traditional food (like street corn dip and fish with a hot & crunchy quinoa crust). We got the Roasted Sweet Corn Dip, Brush Creek Wagyu Burger, and Crispy Halibut. The ingredients were quality and everything tasted good.

Hanna was incredible! She felt like an old friend and had incredible recs. We will absolutely be back. The burger and enchiladas were amazing.

I was visiting Austin for the Austin Film Festival and was so happy to get such a great salad. David, my server, was the kindest guy ever. The produce was so fresh. My chocolate cookie was delicious. And I could sit outdoors. From start to finish, everyone was so very kind. Compliments to chef and staff.

Great breakfast spot. The food was tasty! My server Aaron was super friendly and accommodating! Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely late dinner at Caroline after a show at the Paramount. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was good. We didn’t have an unusually remarkable experience, but it was nice and the location was perfectly proximal to the theater.

Was meeting some friends so picked Caroline. Terrific appetizers and cocktail menu. Highly recommend!

Looks nice from the outside, atmosphere is great, food is good, but the service is atrocious. Several tables around us received food before our table, even though we were seated and ordered before the rest of the tables round us, we were the only table in the waitress section before 4 more tables became occupied. Took a solid 20 minutes to receive some of the drinks ordered. When we finally received our food, the eggs were severely overcooked, toast was rock hard and I requested a refire on the eggs, took over 30 minutes for eggs over medium. Before I even received my new eggs the waitress was trying to rush us out of the restaurant.

Aaron was nice and friendly. Service and food was great. Would definitely recommend another visit. I will be coming back here next time we plan a trip to Austin Texas.

Outstanding service. The food was incredible. I would love to give it a 5 but sweet mother of Abraham Lincoln it is loud. Yes this is the downstairs area. You can literally hear people across the restaurant eating.

Excellent breakfast and drinks. Our server Aaron was fantastic! Great recommendations and very knowledgeable of the area.

The food was very good, but expensive. The meal portions were big with traditional type foods with a eclectic twist. The atmosphere was a little chaotic and very busy and offered a cafe feel.

I usually avoid hotel restaurants if at all possible, but Caroline was great. This was the best fried chicken and waffles I've ever had, as the chicken skin was extra crispy while the meat was moist. The waffle was fluffy and served with sides of both syrup and honey butter. I also had a tomatoes, olive oil and sea salt side that was on the pricey side, but well worth it.

Dropped in for a late night dinner after the theater. The starter plates were good. We were very disappointed in the mushroom bolognais. It did not have a mushroom flavor as we expected. The service and ambiance were very good.

We stopped in on a late Saturday morning on a weekend visit to Austin. They were full but we were seated immediately. The waiter was excellent and accommodating. The food was served very quickly and was excellent. We had a smoothie and an iced coffee drink which were quite refreshing after walking around in the early morning heat and humidity. We’ll definitely visit again.

The Caroline restaurant checks all the boxes. We ended up coming here a couple times during our trip to Austin. Not only was it conveniently connected to our hotel, but it is very versatile. The first day we arrived it was too early to go to our hotel room so we ended up scootering around the city then sat outside for a late lunch. Later that night we ended up getting a few drinks and apps before exploring 6th street. Needless to say, we really enjoyed the Moscow mules and overall vibe 😎

This place has gone since I last visited Austin. Firstly, the hostess during the day is the rudest person. She tried to sit me outside at a table with a puddle. My pants were long and would have gotten wet. She didn't give me a menu and I know she was supposed to because the waiter came and asked if I was only having a drink since I didn't have a menu. I replied "Well, I do want to eat and I guess I could just make something up and maybe you could cook it." Well, I ordered the deviled eggs and a salad and the salad came first. The greens looked like something you'd throw in the compost. The deviled eggs were good but the jalapeno garnish had no taste whatsoever. What did they do to that poor jalapeno? Have you heard of. jalopeno without a taste. My server was a sweetie and didn't charge me for the salad nor the extra order of deviled eggs I ordered in lieu of the salad. This experience is unfortunate because Caroline is one of the few places where you can dine outside but buyer beware.

Excellent, our server Aaron, was very attentive and had great recommendations. Our water and coffee was alway full. The portions were generous and can be shared if you are not hungry. We had a 30 minute wait on a busy Sunday. The food was amazing, only downside was the espresso machine was broken and restroom is on the second floor.

Worst experience… super rude staff. I went to the place as Google recommended it, but the staff is tremendously rude since the moment you arrive.

We got 3 appetizers, burrata, wings and ahi tuna tacos. My blood orange margarita was perfection. Location is right in the middle of everything. Loved it

Aaron is as an excellent server! He gave us tips on parking and a bar option since we are visiting Austin for a concert at the Moody center. Food came out quick and was delicious!

I had a great time at Caroline. Drinks were great and the serving staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend coming here!

If you are staying at the Aloft hotel downtown or are nearby, there’s no need to search for breakfast with Caroline’s downstairs. There’s a good selection on the breakfast menu, including my favorite, the egg white, feta , onion, tomato, and spinach omelette.

We also had the egg white omelette and tomatoes. Recommend both for sure. Food came quickly and was very fresh. Restaurant was very clean which I appreciated.

Leeanne is the best! She is attentive and friendly. The food is great! We really enjoyed it and will return. We highly recommend coming here for great service, food and drinks!

Aaron was our server and from the beginning he was AMAZING! He gave us great recommendations, was attentive and very welcoming! Would recommend and would love to have Aaron again!

Good food, fun vibe. Aaron was great!

Very poor service, inattentive staff, the food was just ok, definitely not good enough to make up for the overall underwhelming experience. Waitress took our order, didn’t write anything down, came back 10mins later to ask again what we’d ordered as she’d forgotten. Drinks came out 10mins after, then food took another age to appear, well over 30mins. No one checked on us, had to ask the bartender to check on the food. He never came back to us. We won’t be going here again in a hurry.

Our server, Walter, took excellent care of us, going above and beyond to make sure I got some coffee after hours. The food was delicious. Location was excellent. Great experience!

Aaron was the best. We had awesome service and the food was great. The drinks were always amazing. Definitely coming back.

Food was delicious. Aaron was the best server! He helped us find the right drinks and was helped us find the perfect meal for each person

Caroline’s was delicious for breakfast! I almost never report 5 stars, but the breakfast we ordered, and the cinnamon roll pastry were perfection.

Brunch!!! Thanks Aaron, what a great server and loved the food and drinks. I tried to leave but it may or may not have loaded idk :) get the huevos, also had a coffee and it was good and strong. I didn’t try the pastries due to the epic fear of going to the dentist, but they looked amazing. I’ll be back soon, thanks team Caroline

Convenient location in downtown Austin. Great service. Fresh, delicious breakfast! Would have enjoyed the patio on a cooler morning.

Had a great experience while dining here! Our server Austin was nothing short of amazing! He gave us great recommendations for menu items, tremendous service and was a pleasure to chat with! Will definitely come again!

Service was good but the food was bad. Bolognese is supposed to have linguine or spaghetti in it and the pasta should not be overcooked. This had overcooked penne as the pasta. We dirtied our knife and fork with the appetizer (not very good) and never got replacements. So this place is over priced for the food and there are lots of other Austin restaurants to go to.

Showed up early for a reservation on Valentine’s Day and they were very accommodating- great food, wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff.

Caroline is a good option for weekend brunch and if you do drop by be sure to try the Pecan and Praline French Toast. This is a very rich and sweet dish that is more akin to a bread pudding than traditional French toast. I struggled to eat the whole portion but did thoroughly enjoy it. I washed it down with one of the house made smoothies - the berry basil - which was also excellent. Service was good, the dining room comfortable and very bright (big picture windows on several sides) and the prices fair ($12.95 for the French toast).

I appreciate the atmosphere and quality of service and food was very good. Breakfast was excellent and appreciated the waiter. Took the front a while to swat me but that’s not on the team

As part of a tour of Texas we stopped for a comedy show at downtown, Austin. Took refuge at this restaurant having walked along 6th street late afternoon which was pretty unpleasant. Food and service was great . Visitors from Wales (Uk)

We were visiting the Austin Capitol, and we entered Carolina’s restaurant and asked for a table, the attitude of the receptionist and another person, was classist, racist, discriminatory; Being able to give us a table they didn't do it, they told us to wait, immediately afterwards an American couple arrived, and they quickly got a table. I approached them to ask "why did they do this?" and the answer was that they didn't know if we wanted a high table. His response was as stupid as their attitude. Too bad this place, where we will never recommend it because of its nefariousness. A few steps further on we found another cafeteria “The Hideout Coffee House” with very friendly, smiling employees who made us the best coffee. they saved our impression of Austin and its service to tourism.

Lance super bad service The good just average Prices are okay , no bad and good location But the lack of customer service doesn’t want to make you come back

The food was good not great and expensive and service was so slow, I went to my room and got a bottle of water they were so slow. Upstairs was twice as good and much nicer people. When we finally got food it was good, except I had to get more food since mine was cold. I would walk somewhere or anywhere else for food next time.

We were visiting Austin and had a lovely breakfast with friends. Our waitress Memory was friendly and efficient and all our dishes were great.

We stumbled into Caroline for breakfast and were very satisfied with the food and service. When we were looking for a place for dinner, we looked at their menu and decided to go back. We were not disappointed and highly recommend this restaurant.

Aaron as amazing! Friendly and great service! Eggs Benedict was delicious! Bathroom is a crazy hike though.

Had the huevos rancheros and the sweet corn cake Benedict dishes. Both were very good. The service was attentive and friendly.

Very warm atmosphere. Excellent service. Burrata was delicious. Miso salmon was very good. Convenient downtown location. Nice selection of entrees.

I think our problem was with our particular waitress who simply forgot about us after we ordered our drinks. We had to ask another waiter for our food and drinks. He was really efficient and polite, brought our drinks right away, but because our cappuccinos had been sitting in wait for a while, they arrived warm, not hot. The coffee was of very good quality, though. Our waitress showed up only whilst we were placing the order for our food, but she didn’t say anything, not even an apology for leaving us waiting. She went by us many times and wouldn’t look at us. She was the one who ended up removing our dishes and bringing our bill, but basically no effort for amending the situation. The food was very good, though the omelette was a bit blend, lacking seasoning. Potatoes were fantastic. The whole experience would have been great had we been pleasantly served. We won’t return.

Delicious. Perfect brunch spot. Corn cake benedicts were amazing. Plus! Great service. Aaron took excellent care of us.

Great food! Attentive staff. A patio. What more do you want? I ordered the spicy jalapeño deviled eggs and the green chile and chicken enchiladas. Both were amazing.

The Knife and Fork Cinnamon Roll is a must! Thanks to the recommendations of our server Ana Maria, we enjoyed two outstanding menu dishes (try their Sweet Corn Benedict). Great job Ana!

Aaron was helpful and hospitable. Highly recommended! Not your basic buffet breakfast since you order from menu with lots of choices.

The server was kind but the entrees were not good. We had the chicken schnitzel, which tasted like it was made the day before and reheated, and fish tacos. The Mahi was chewy, the tortilla was tough, and the charred grill marks on the fish were very bitter. The appetizer of deviled eggs were very good and the side of roasted corn dip was our favorite item. With the hassle of finding parking in a garage, and the underwhelming food, we will not be going back.

Memory our sever was very attentive & very friendly.. she immediately introduced herself and was always refilling our coffee. Really appreciated the manager John stopping by our table.. It felt like they have a great team as it was very noticeable

Because of an early morning appointment in Downtown Austin, we elected to have breakfast at Caroline on Congress Avenue. This restaurant is clean, well maintained, and attractively appointed. The service, while friendly, was slow and the food was average.

Great place for lunch. Stopped in after visiting the Capital. I had the arugula Caesar salad with salmon and my husband had the crispy halibut sandwich. Both were very good. Also had the sweet corn dip as an appetizer and that was so good. The Congress Ave Greyhound cocktail was so refreshing. Overall great place!

We came here for a nightcap with girlfriends. Super fun bar, great drinks and really great service from the bartender Justin!

Food was great! I had a cocktail and it was delicious. Luanne and Justin were so nice and helped us out with anything we needed, great service :)

Sebastian was awesome. Cold brew fantastic. Sandwiches were huge. Loved the breakfast potatoes the best. Honestly would come back for them

This is a bright cheery restaurant on Congress. I visited for breakfast. The breakfast was good with high quality ingredients. The bacon did not taste like the cheap institutional quality bacon you often find. Service was efficient and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was also a bake shop area for people who did not want a sit down meal. All was very convenient.

We heart Aaron because he is the best waiter NA. The burrito was exquisite and couldn’t have caused a better guttural reaction.

I visited Caroline for a business lunch and have now found a favorite spot for any return trips. The breakfast menu was interesting, diverse, and delicious, the cappuccino was on the spot. While it was cold outside, and we were seated near the kitchen, the noise and heat were both manageable. The staff was attentive, making the business meeting efficient and valuable. Carolines is within the ALOFT hotel's thumbprint, so valet parking is available, though I preferred to park elsewhere (to my folly - parking in Austin is always a headache). 10 out of 10, will visit again.

Aaron is the epitome of customer service - courteous, informative, responsive, thoroughly professional. The spinach omelette and oatmeal were delicious.

I had a very healthy salad, husband had a fish sandwich. We both had local draft beer. The fish was very burnt but they exchanged it for a fresh one. Nice interior decor, good service, fresh food.

We came in expecting average, and we found excellent. The outside area is small but not cramped. We chose to sit inside next to the window. There were no complaints that we were only two at a four person table. Our server (Lauren) was really nice. I tend to order stuff I don't recognize to try different things. I ordered a mocha coffee. As soon as it appeared and I noticed it was green, I was not expecting green coffee. I don't recommend it. I mentioned to Lauren I was less than impressed with it. She brought me a regular capachino at no extra charge. To the important stuff. The food was very good. I had the "eggs your way" poached, with fried potatoes and chicken sausage.. was expecting regular fried chicken (like chicken and waffles). I mentioned that to the lovely food deliverer, and she brought me a couple of chicken straps just because. My partner had the "sweet corn cake benedict." She loved it, it was unlike anything she had before for breakfast. She would come back just for that. Great place I recommend it.

Was great recommendations were on point from our server Aaron. The atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy. Did not see anyone unhappy with their food and was honestly jealous of every plate passing by. We would not give any food item we received below a 9/10

Great food service and atmosphere! Aaron was excellent! Great location right on Congress as well. Would absolutely go again and recommend to others!

Great atmosphere and even better food! Try The Marshmallow Latte and the Whipped Riccota Pancakes! Aaron was Amazing!!!

We were in Austin for 4 days and found Caroline out first night…by walking across the street from our hotel. Excellent food, warm and efficient service. So good, we came back for a breakfast and another dinner during our stay. We def found other places too but this was one of the highlights. Hubby had a mushroom bolognese and I had the green chicken enchiladas (always a great way to judge what’s go’in on here). Mine was great! His was …spectacular! Another visit after overindulging, I had the quinoa bowl and it was also amazing. I’ve cooked quinoa and making it a tasty nosh is no small feat. He had the bolognese again. What does that tell you? It was like it had meat and we aren’t vegetarians. Excellent food all around.

Caroline’s is a very laid back comfortable restaurant & coffee shop. The service from Aaron was outstanding! The food & coffee is all delicious. We visited three different times during our week long trip for lunch, drinks, & brunch.

Caroline is excellent! We came for breakfast and everything was delicious and made with high quality ingredients. The two of us had coffee, huevos rancheros, a spinach omelette, a latte, and a cinnamon roll. Everything was great! Our server Aaron was the best, personable and friendly, but not overbearing, and had great recommendations. Highly recommend Caroline!

The atmosphere and location are wonderful; food was great. Our server, Aaron, made it an amazing experience and I highly recommend you stop by!

Aaron provided great service! Highly recommend spinach omelette! The yogurt was full of fresh fruit! Loved it! Very good coffee and they even gave a to go cup

Server Aron was great at providing tasty recommendations and friendly service. Loved the sweet corn benedict and marshmallow latte (with coconut milk and sf vanilla). Will come back soon!

Great buzz in the dining room for breakfast and also the lunch, the service on both visits was excellent throughout. Very friendly and perfectly paced. We visited for breakfast and throughly enjoyed the omelettes with delicious breakfast potatoes. These dishes were so good, they made up for an average at best flat white but accepting it’s hard to find a good one in the states anywhere to an Australian / UK standard so happy to let it go as the food and service were both so good. We then stopped in again for a light lunch snack and both had a salad with a side of chicken. Again the service was excellent and the main dish was ok, nothing wrong just very simple and fresh. But the side of chicken was a little surprising, I expected a grilled piece of chicken not cubed cold chicken. Overall a good experience and would absolutely go back and recommend.

Leeanne was so sweet! We had a great time!

Delicious breakfast burrito! Since I can’t eat eggs, my server (Aaron), recommended that I swap for black beans. Excellent suggestion! And it was so much food. Great value. Great service.

My friend brought me to Carline’s during my visit to Austin and I really enjoyed the experience. Great food and pleasant atmosphere. Our server, Hanna, is efficient, polite, neat appearance and knows the food and drinks to recommend. FYI the chicken & cheese enchilada are delicious!

The dining area was modern with nice subdued lighting..service was very good..not many choices of entrees and very limited if you are gluten free..I enjoyed tuna taco appetizers

Austin is pretty shutdown but I'm so happy I found this place open on a Saturday morning. Breakfast was fantastic! Service was perfect. I say outside and the menu is scanned from your phone. They're very careful about safety. Hey the bacon. Seriously, there's something about the bacon! The breakfast was better than expected. Don't miss this place!

Very good. Eggs cook over medium as asked. Tried the chicken sausage wasn't a fan but wasn't anything other than personal taste. They have gluten free toast upon request. Stayed full until dinner ❤️

Excellent choice for breakfast in Austin. Very friendly staff and rich and fast breakfast. Clean bathroom and large breakfast menu.

This place did the job for a quick lunch after an early morning of traveling. The food was fine, but was not anything spectacular. The service was excellent.

Aaron was amazing on suggestions to eat. We loved the food and atmosphere. I come to Austin frequently and I will come back here again. Aaron was super friendly.

Stayed at Aloft and had the pleasure of eating at Caroline twice. Both times the food was amazing. Aaron was an outstanding server, even giving us tips and suggestions of places to check out. Try the Everything Sandwich and the Sweet Corn Cake Benedict. Both are fantastic.

Great experience from the moment you walk into the door. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Great brunch recommendations by the waiter Aaron! Overall excellent service and food!

Great fresh tasty breakfast options. Superb service by Aaron: attentive and precise in just the right way. There’s a nice busy vibe. Food was creative and regional.

The bakery items were really yummy.. too many to choose from to get a selection and share! Coffee & drinks were very nicely done as well. Not a lot of seating for coffeeshop only area as most are reserved for people having meals.... bar is upstairs.. hotel as well.

We enjoyed this spot so much we returned twice on our trip to Austin. We came for breakfast and ate outside both days which was great. The latte and the cinnamon roll were both great. The cinnamon roll was gooey and delicious with the perfect amount of frosting. Friendly staff and fair priced

Justin was a great server. Came at the right times and made sure we had everything we needed. Not too much, not too little. Perfect!

First off the food is great, the stake was delicious! Second, Aaron made sure my group was taken care of. Thank you Aaron!!

Aaron was very welcoming and warm. He was also very helpful in choosing a dish to have!! Great experience from service alone!

Ambiance is excellent - we sat on the patio and watched the downtown traffic. Food was really good - the server offered suggestions which we followed. Server was also very friendly and talkative.

Wonderful breakfast and looked after really well by Aaron. Food lovely, service excellent. Would highly recommend for breakfast/brunch.

Leanne was a great server. The food was excellent. - Barbara 11 years old. 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

Probably had my best meal in Austin while I was here - the short rib. I loved everything on the plate. My wife and daughter had the Wagyu burger and thought it was great. Peanut butter pie was awesome. Staff was great. Great experience all around.

The food is good but our experience was quite different from other reviews. Our waiter was nice but really busy. Our drinks took more than 20 minutes to arrive from the bartender. Our appetizer was not served at all. Then suddenly less than 5 minutes after the cocktails arrived our entrees appeared. The table for 7 next to us was served appetizers, refills on drinks, and entrees while we waited. The manager did make some adjustments to our bill but since we were supposed to have 15% off as theater ticket holders it really wasn't an adjustment at all. I wasn't impressed that he said we would not be charged for the appetizer that wasn't served to us. I thought that would go without saying. If you go the chicken enchiladas are really good

Gentlemen upstairs gave me some of the greatest customer service I could ask for. Thanks to Adrian I was able to find a couple different social clubs. First time around town and a must needed location to stop by at. Great atmospheric vibes and location to hang around for a few hours.

Our party of four enjoyed an early dinner before a show at this restaurant. The service was good. The food was very good, but somewhat slow in arriving. The atmosphere was very good to excellent. I had the salmon fillet over cauliflower rice pilaf. I enjoyed the taste of the plate, but it was not extraordinary. Two others in our party had the chicken enchiladas. They were a little too heavy on certain ingredients, but still tasty. The last of our party had the steak medium rare with which he was satisfied.

Aaron was a great waiter. Friendly and fast service. Very good food. We had lattes, eggs Benedict and yogurt with fruit. Even our dog enjoyed the service.

Aaron offered us exceptional service. Pleasant as can be and his suggestions were spot on. Definitely would come back. Food very fresh and tasty.

This was our second time back in the space of a couple of days for breakfast as the food was amazing! Aaron was super friendly and made the experience even better. Hopefully we’ll have time to come back before we leave!

We were seated immediately and Ana Maria took our order promptly. Our drinks were perfect and food was delicious. Thank you for the great experience.

Great ambiance and superb food. The Goddess Salad was fantastic and the quinoa fried halibut was delicious and moist. Excellent service and value.

The restaurant was half empty but we had to wait 20 minutes for a table as they were short staffed Food. What’s with the salt! The amount of salt on my plate from the burger to the fries. The over saltiness of the food detracted from the taste. Overall Meh!

Caroline was delicious for Sunday brunch! Aaron was our server and he was super attentive and friendly. Great experience.

The day the Crispy Chicken & Waffles plate was placed in front of me it was like love at first sight. This was my first experience at Caroline and still remember the delicious brunch I enjoyed a few months ago. Today I had the opportunity to bring my wife to have her experience the same joy. Sidewalk seating added to the romantic nature of being in the outdoors while people walk by on South Congress Ave. After browsing the menu and sipping from my glass of crisp water I ordered the Biscuits & Gravy. I just needed a lite snack to start the day off, but I was in for a surprise. This restaurant is located within the Aloft/Element Austin Downtown hotel and there is even an upstairs part to cater to the Gen Zs with an outside patio, bar, games and a DJ. I went upstairs after brunch and felt old, but enjoyed it. When my food arrived I spotted two sunny side eggs on top of my biscuits & gravy. It looked marvelous and there goes eating a lite meal. I took one bit and it was mouthwatering. The eggs tasted farm fresh, the biscuits even though buried in egg and gravy was still soft and crunchy, and the gravy had a wonderful flavor to it. I enjoyed all of it and my wife who did order the Crispy Chicken & Waffles very much enjoyed it too. Cudos the nice professional staff too. It was another great experience.

Aaron was great! Breakfast burrito was delicious. Chicken and waffles were tasty too. He was friendly, attentive, and prompt to our requests.

Great street side view with amazing coffee and eggs. I’d go again. Sebastian was our server and extremely helpful. Thank you!

We went for Breakfast on a weekday. Great service and solid Menu selection stood out. Aaron was outstanding as our waiter.

The Mahi pastor was delicious—the dish was not overcooked and the sauce was flavorful. Leanne was welcoming & friendly.

Hi, we went in for a Christmas dinner, we’re from Houston so we just went by a reference from our daughter who lives here. Everything is as lovely and if we come back to Austin I’ll be returning

Limited non-spicy options; expensive - a plain burger dinner [$43] is too much of per diem. Very noisy & busy. Friendly wait staff, extremely good burger.
Caroline was great!
5/5—Food was excellent, had the short rib which was perfect, and Hanna did an amazing job at Caroline in Austin. Highly recommend!
