Wonderful experience at Carson’s kitchen. Went twice during our stay. Highly recommend the chef’s table. Deviled eggs were amazing. GreenBeans and beet salad.

Amazing burger! Maybe the best I’ve ever eaten - well seasoned, juicy, crispy buttery bun - so good! Sangria was also delicious. Atmosphere is fun and energetic and service was great. Will be back!

We walked over from the Fremont Street experience and were able to get a seat at the bar by the kitchen. I’d recommend making a reservation. The food and service were wonderful. We had deviled eggs - so good that my husband had a second order for dessert, mushroom flatbread (yummy), grilled oysters (our least favorite dish - just ok), octopus, and the brownie with bacon ice cream (OMG). Being by the kitchen we saw lots of other really good looking dishes that we didn’t have enough appetite left to try. Is was a really wonderful dining experience.

Carson Kitchen is a must-visit in Downtown Las Vegas, blending urban charm with elevated comfort food in a cozy, industrial-chic setting. Founded in 2014 by the legendary "Rock 'n' Roll Chef" Kerry Simon, this spot delivers bold flavors in a laid-back atmosphere. The menu puts a creative twist on classic dishes—don’t miss the Devil’s Eggs with caviar, the tender Short Rib Steak with pepperoncini pesto, or the surprisingly delicious Hotdog Burnt Ends. My personal favorite? The Black Rice & Oxtail Risotto—it’s next-level! Pair it all with a craft cocktail from their stylish bar, and you’ve got a dining experience that’s as unforgettable as Vegas itself.

I found Carson’s on a list of bests in Vegas. It did not disappoint! Super urban decor, small local feel and not touristy! The Turkey burger was fabulous. It was served with tater tots that were delicious and I don’t like tots! The Mac n cheese is a must!

Kinda pricey for the food. Atmosphere is nice. Server was knowledgeable and answered questions about the menu.

Parking may be a hassle, but it is worth the effort and not expensive, so GO! Nasty downtown area, very small - had to sit at the bar, but enjoyed the interaction. Cooks are definitely chefs, ands take pride in their servings to the folk. Many of the menu offerings are a bit more adventurous than my weak soul, but the chicken skin, mac and cheese, and chicken thighs were all marvelous. Definitely a gotta go - great taste in your mouth!

True Story - My husband and I were sitting in our hotel room and as he's scanning his news feed he sees something from the Food Network about the best chicken places in each state. Carson Kitchen was listed for Nevada. Since we didn't have lunch plans we decided to check it out. What a great little find! We decided to share a few of the small plates or appetizers. He wanted to try the Fried Chicken Skins, I wanted to try the Pork Belly and our server suggested the Bacon Jam. All three were amazing! Well worth the Uber/cab ride to the Fremont Street area! We look forward to visiting again when we are in town.

I read the reviews. I visited the website. Nothing led me to believe that this was not the place to book my birthday dinner because nothing said that this place was more suited to groups than to couples and singles. Despite making a reservation for two, I did not feel welcomed or valued as a customer. I made my reservation 4 weeks in advance and was excited to tell friends about my Vegas plans. One of those friends took it to heart and sent me a gift card which is the only reason I stayed as there will be no second visit. You know the saying, "you only get one chance to make a first impression." We arrived around 6:05 for a 6:15 reservation and would told the table was not ready. A group of three with a 6:30 reservation arrived shortly afterwards as did a group of four. After seating both of those groups, while we we still standing, I asked the host person the reason. She said she was not going to use a table for four for two people. I questioned this as I had made a reservation, which I thought was taken in consideration when seating plans/assignments were done, and surely a table that seats four could seat two. She reiterated her position and after back and forth, asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I did. The manager apologized for the wait and confirmed that despite having a reservation, they would not seat us until the table for two cleared. He further stated that they had spoken to that couple and they were finishing their drinks and had been asked to speed up the process. The aforementioned gift card is the only thing that kept us there. The manager offered us some green beans to make up for the inconvenience. You can't buy back time. I should mention that there was a table set aside for eight that remained open. That group arrived and was seated while we were eventually dining. So they clearly understand the concept of reserving a table. When we were finally seated, it was at 90 degree angles of an L-shaped bar/dining surface. I actually did not see any deuce tops in the space. If you want to cater to groups, say so. No one wants to feel like their money/presence at an establishment is less valued because they don't travel with an entourage. Why take the reservation if you have no intention of planning for and honoring it?

While visiting the Fremont area, I found this hidden gem on TripAdvisor. I wanted something different and we wanted somewhere to sit down away from the downtown chaos. At lunchtime and Without a reservation, we were promptly erred. Cory was our server who made some recommendations that were spot on. We started with a couple of local brews and decided on some of the shared plates. We ordered the fried green beans that had a nice crisp tempura batter and was served with a cream cheese and pepper jelly “sauce” for dipping. Outstanding! We also got the gyro tacos. Not exactly what was on it…beef of some kind but a nice crema on top. Next up was the burnt ends hotdogs. Yep. Hotdogs. Not exactly sire what was on them but a sweet, honey bbq sauce and cooked to a nice char served with a few pickle slices and a ranch dressing . You would never know it was hotdogs. Amazing! We were given a complimentary salad (said the kitchen messed up and made an extra one but I think they did it because we were first timers) but regardless, it was delicious.! I’ll be leaving out something but I think it was kale, beets, mandarin, pistachio nuts, goat cheese and several other things that sounded odd but paired together was a truly delicious salad. I have NEVER eaten beets but I would order this again…even though I didn’t order it to begin with.

First off I love this place as a local I come here regularly. But this visit our order was messed up. Our Mack ad cheese was cold. The service was OK. Overall however I still think this is a good place to eat. One mediocre experience does not make a bad experience, after multiple good meals

As a vegas local, I always enjoy dining at Carson kitchen. I enjoy sitting outside in the back area when the weather allows. This particular day - the weather was more than perfect! I like to take my out of town friends here as well since it’s located downtown and gives a different vegas vibe. He shrimp for appetizers are super yummy, the smothered chicken thigh, the deviled eggs, and drinks are all super yummy! I think this menu has eclectic options that most food lovers can truly appreciate. I’ll be going back again soon!

Highlight: - HIGHLY recommend coming here if you're in Vegas. I will from now on. - You should call first to make reservations for lunch or dinner. - If you want your mind blown for $14 dollars, you absolutely!! have to order the Bacon Jam. One word that sums up our experience at Carson Kitchen is "WOW". The wifey and I were driving through Vegas (Covid-19 times) and was looking for the best restaurant around us. Naturally, we looked on Yelp and found this place with 4.5 stars 2k reviews. (That's like ALL-star status in the Yelp world) We called first and luckily they had one reservation spot open. So for future reference, definitely call ahead to make reservations. The restaurant itself followed all the social distancing procedures including paper menus and proper distance from the other tables. When you first look at the menu, it can seem real limiting at first, but you soon realize that you can't go wrong with any of the items that you order. We ended up ordering the Chili Cauliflower, Bacon Jam, Butter Burger. Everything definitely beat our expectations. - Chili Cauliflower was soft with a nice sourish flavor to it. (If you're not a fan of sourness, than skip that) - Butter Burger, nothing specially crazy about the flavor, but it's just an all around hearty burger with quality wholesome ingredients. You gotta appreciate that. - But the highlight of the day was absolutely the Bacon Jam. At first, we got sticker shock with the $14 price tag and was like GTFO.. but then we noticed everyone around us had already ordered it and the waiter mentioned it was what they are known for, so yea we splurged and OMG best decision ever. Bacon is already good on its own, but you never realize how much better bacon is when you add jam. The Bacon jam is baked with cheese on top and served hot with garlic bread. The Restaurant itself doesn't have any big signs, so you can easily miss it if you're not looking for it. But when you get inside, it's definitely going for the upscale rustic vibe. It's both chill enough to grab beers with some friends and but also sufficient enough for a date night spot. Having visited Vegas more than 30+ times in my life, this is definitely a go-to place now when I visit in the future. (This and Lotus of Siam).

The exterior is very underwhelming, a complete 180 from what you’ll find inside. Be sure to look for the name of the restaurant across the front window, otherwise you’ll miss it completely. Inside, the atmosphere is open, engaging and artistically functional. The staff works together almost as if they in a scripted play. It’s perfect and portrays a group of people who actually like what they do and do it very well. I sat at the bar which opens into the kitchen area and was very entertained by the precision and clockwork-like processes being shared so seamlessly by the staff. The food was fantastic. Period. Rather than two traditional entrees, we ordered small plate style though the portions were big enough that we struggled to eat everything. We just couldn’t decide on less - the menu has too many tempting items! We had the Wild Mushroom Flatbread which was deliciously sprinkled with with bleu cheese and roasted onion. We also enjoyed the Brussels Sprout Caesar, a fresh take on the traditional salad but accented with bacon. Gyro Mini Tacos, Pork Belly and Killer Shrimp were all bursting with flavor. We ended with Glazed Donut Bread Pudding (omg, the caramel sauce is the best I’ve ever had!) and Peach Upside Down Cake with Mascarpone. Both were wonderful. We did our best to try as many things as we could but everyone has a limit. We are only in the area once a year but have told all our friends that this is a place they HAVE to try. Your only regret will be that you don’t have enough tummy room to try it all. Prices were fair, service was prompt, professional and genuine. Small touches from the presentation of the food, the holder for your final check and the decor all add to the feeling that you could happily stay much longer than just dinner. It’s a small step out of the daily grind into something warm, delicious and inviting in every way.

Excellent food and service. Friday 6pm, small menu with a range of great option. (Did not have a reservation). Shared table but not crowded.

A hidden gem just off Fremont street. Small plates to enjoy family style. Great drinks and beer selection. We were there in March and could enjoy the outdoor patio.

Best food you can get in town, for a reasonable price and unique location. I truly advise you to go and try this modern food, slightly spicy, just enoughfat to make it delicious!!!

We were in Downtown Las Vegas for vacation recently and we always heard amazing things about Carson Kitchen and we decided to stop in for dinner during our recent trip. We made a reservation in advance- the restaurant is pretty small, so definitely try to make a reservation if you can. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and were seated promptly at a table near the front. Our server came by a few minutes later and offered to answer any questions we had on the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine to start, all at reasonable prices, they had a few options to pick from. We ordered the Pepp on Pepp flatbread to start ($18), and the Brussell Sprout Caesar Salad ($13) and two of the Pot Roast Dips ($19). All of the food was truly amazing and all very fresh and tasty! The service was also really good throughout the meal and efficient. We look forward to returning and highly recommend trying Carson Kitchen if you're in the Downtown Las Vegas area!

Came here due to good reviews on google. Waitress was super friendly and helpful with assisting me with the vegan options available. The kimchi tofu was delicious, would highly recommend this dish to any tofu lover! I also got the vegan version of the mushroom bbq flatbread (without cheese), it was nice but far too much bbq sauce for my liking. There was a harissa cashew butter cauliflower dish that I wish I had chosen instead.. Friends ordered the chicken and Turkey burgers and were very pleased with their food. Fairly expensive food, like most decent places in Vegas I’ve found.

We didn’t really want any to go. It was a taxi ride. We had a plethora of restaurants in our hotel. But we did go and my God was it phenomenal? Absolutely! Flavours to die for and service to match. We had crispy chicken skins with…wait for it….smoked honey. This dish blew our minds. Then came pork belly with blue cheese and buffalo sauce…teasing you with hot sour spice but softened with sweet blu cheese. To die for. We also had shrimp tacos (as an extra course) which were crispy but also fiery with heat! Chicken thighs and hot dog burnt ends completed our meal. Great friendly service and made this a meal to remember. So many different tastes and flavours! Please go here if in Vegas. A taxi ride but worth it.

The food and speciality cocktails were excellent. We enjoyed watching Riker prepare beautiful salads, appetizers and desserts because we were fortunate enough to sit at the counter that surrounds the open kitchen concept. We shared the espresso and cocoa rubbed NY Strip Steak, the best Mac n cheese I've ever had, gyro tacos and a donut pound cake for dessert that was out of the world. The service was excellent, too. The prices are reasonable for the quality and experience. I highly recommend Carson Kitchen

Absolutely loved Carson Kitchen. The food was 10/10. Jay was our server and he was excellent and really looked after us! Can’t wait to come back next time we are in Vegas

Can be on somewhat expensive side, but it is well worth it. Make reservations in advance. Great food and atmosphere

This is one of the highest-ranked restaurants in Las Vegas, so take my review with a grain of salt. But on a recent visit my son and I enjoyed very little of what we ate. The service was fine, enjoyable atmosphere, but we just didn't like the food. My son and I got four small plates, which I will describe below. Fried chicken skins: Somehow I envisioned the guilty pleasure one gets by ripping off a piece of Popeye's fried chicken skin. Instead, it was the chicken version of fried pork rinds. It was served with a nice honey sauce, and if split between six or eight would have been great. But it didn't work that well for two. Wild boar tacos: I didn't absolutely love mine but my son loved his. Good enough. Bacon Jam: This was cheese melted over something that didn't have that strong a bacon taste, to be spread on toast. I didn't dislike it, but can't imagine ordering it again. Short rib pizza: My son and I were stunned to find that this pizza was covered with brussels sprouts, with no warning on the menu. We both took one bite. Our waiter noticed how much we hated it and took it off our bill, which was very gracious. But my son did tell the waiter to pass on the fact that no dish should ever include Brussels sprouts without a warning on the menu. If we had been in a group of six or eight, with lots more little dishes, I can see how we might have found the right balance. But it just didn't work for the two of us, and the only reason I'm not leaving two stars is because so many other people like this place so much. It may be that I just wasn't sophisticated enough for it.

We were recommended Carson’s Kitchen in Downtown Vegas and were really pleased we went, in fact we went twice as we enjoyed it so much. It’s unlike usual restaurants it serves sharing plates that give you an opportunity to try different things. The portion sizes are good and the flavours and choices are amazing. Would highly recommended The Killer Shrimp, Pork Belly and Cocoa Expresso NY strip. They also serve great cocktails and the service was the best. Its a taxi ride from The Strip but well worth it, the flavours are amazing and the prices are lot less than eating on The Strip. You have to give this place a try.

I didn't know that this many restaurants could lead to one another with the same name and location and style, all because of overcrowding, overlapping schedules, and social distancing, but I think this is the best version of the bug diner that we found near Fremont? I don't know if this was a deja vous experience but the diner here yielded this experience: ◦ We show up mid-day, after being turned away from about a half a dozen other local diner/breakfast/brunch/fusion fusion joints all in the same area and in the same style for various reasons dealing to covid (shortened hours, social distancing capacity limits etc). The space has been redone since most of the photos you find online, and the furnace is turned the other way now. The staff gives you hateful looks the whole time while they cook behind this counter (where you will most likely end up eating unless you put up your reservation with a great deal of time in advance). Despite all this, the decor is pretty good. The "countertop" you see in the Greek/Mediterranean style online is only on some of the tables, and not at the actual counter. Get this, Dexter Holland from the Offspring is the host here. He is always ready to entertain guests as well as his coworkers with puns, including referring to others as "Brotato chip". Get it? HAHA! Dexter has always been a card, and his hair and attire are so on point, almost timeless. I'm glad I got to meet Dexter Holland here, definitely keeps this place in the 4 star range even though they misrepresent themselves. Remember, they also take in the spillover from the nearby failing establishments. The fare itself is decent. Definitely inflated price wise and buggy as heck, but it was still tasty and reasonably filling. The chefs definitely gave the food a good amount of care, which may be to cover up the saliva they release into it due to the fact that they clearly resent us even though our rich boy tourist bux keep them in business. Typical proles I guess! Either way, this was a great restaurant experience overall. Good food, decent decor and service, and we got to meet Dexter Holland. We did not stay for drinks, since it was pretty early and we had a day ahead of us. The pub area looked pretty cool, though.

Snarky staff. Really really slow. I would say try in an out burger before you stop here. Really poor attitudes here. Food was bad. And very slow service! Never ever go here unless you want to be frustrated for days!!!!

I hosted a group of 22 at Carson Kitchen in March 2020. We were supposed to be outside but it rained. Thanks to the staffs forward thinking they were able to accommodate us inside. With a small but intimate space it was great. Everyone had a wonderful time and the food was fantastic!! The staff was second to none and would for sure recommend Carson Kitchen to everyone.

This was a fantastic place for dinner- I recommend this whether you’re staying on Fremont St or on the strip. This is another gem that isn’t a casino restaurant. A group of 7 shared multiple plates and everything was excellent. I will return!

We just had an amazingly good luncheon. String bean appetizer, trout, and oxtail risotto. All shared between the two of us. Food was beautifully prepared. Service was relaxed. Prices were reasonable given the quality of the food. Location is odd.

After several meals in the casinos at restaurants by celebrity chefs who regularly star on Food Network shows, this was refreshingly simple and delicious. We'd read good things about this place and when we were on Fremont Street we made a point to get dinner here. We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen, which was great. We enjoyed friendly and interesting conversation with the chefs as they prepared the food and were able to select items that looked particularly tasty as they were sent out. Super friendly staff, absolutely delicious food and a casual dining atmosphere. Just go. I recommend the Devil's Eggs, NY Strip and make sure to leave room for the bread pudding. So good.

This place is the best place we have eaten all week. The crispy chicken skins and the deviled eggs are AMAZING! We enjoyed the beet dish as well! We came on a food tour and look forward to visiting again before we leave.

Food is stunning, both the tapas and downstairs restaurant. Love this place and will continue to visit. A small local restaurant with great service, food, and overall experience!

We had lunch on our first day in Vegas, it is a short walk from Fremont street and easy to find. We had several dishes but my absolute favorite was the Oxtail Risotto. When it comes to the table it is not the prettiest dish, but the flavors are amazing. It is cheesy rich creamy meaty deliciousness! Service was great and prices are very reasonable! Patio is adorable as well! Check it out for sure!

OH My Gosh!!!! I usually regret my sandwich choices but not this time! We went at 3 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon and ordered the tempura beans, a chicken sandwich, and a butter burger. The burgers come on a Brioche bun I think with a special sauce. The beans were very good but were swimming in grease. The chicken sandwich was THE BEST, BEST, BEST I have ever had. I don't know how they do it but the thick chicken breast had flavor ALL the way through. I cut off a bit to see if it was the sauce and NO, it was the chicken! My husband ate the whole burger. He couldn't put it down! I will be back!

We always strive to try different places on trips to Las Vegas. Carson Kitchen did not disappoint. Great food, great service, great beer- could not ask for more. Tried the fried chicken skins and burnt end hotdogs---YUMMY. Definitely will tell friends and go back on our next trip.

Very welcome and original burgers and very well cooked. An excellent surprise in Las Vegas. Remember to be your appreciation in the book at the end of the meal!

I attended a private party at this location while in Las Vegas. It is a nice size venue for about 50-60 people. The food was really good and the service was great. They did a small food station and had passed bites. There was an abundance of food and everything I ate was great. The staff was attentive and accommodating providing great service. In the second hour, they moved a few of the tables so people could dance. They allowed the people having the party to bring and manage the music.

My husband and I went in Nov last year. I went with friends in Feb 2023. My husband did not make the trip and was jealous that we were going. I had the crispy chicken skins with honey. Healthy? No. Good to me though. I also had pork meatloaf which is delicious. I asked my husband why we didn't make pork meatloaf since it was so good. My friends on this trip asked each other the same thing. Why haven't we made pork meatloaf? My friends had oxtail with black rice and enjoyed it. I got a bite and it was good to me too. They had the oysters and enjoyed it. We all shared the chocolate brownie with bacon ice cream. As before, no ice cream was left behind. The brownie is rich. My friends told me they enjoyed the restaurant and were certain that they had food they had never been offered before in their life and we'd all happily go again.

Ground-breaking since opening Carson Kitchen’s greatness has seemingly become so expected that many are prone to overlook it, but on Saturday night 124 South 6th Street was jammed-packed for a new menu that continues to exude creativity, quality and the sort of Food that challenges without compromise yet always seems delicious and familiar. Fortunate to have tasted every new plate at Carson Kitchen since summer of 2015, Chefs Harwell, Simon and team forever rethinking even longtime best-sellers, it was alongside all-new Mocktails that dining began shortly, the riffs on a Spritz, Whiskey Sour or Dark & Stormy all spot-on with assertive flavors well-suited to iconic Chicken Skins, bubbling Bacon Jam and Tempura Green Beans with Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese. Continuing with more Skins, equally enjoyable today as in 2014, Venison Tacos stand out thanks to Basil Cream juxtaposing lean Meat while Snap Peas with Pistachios and fried Polenta styled as Elotes are each brilliant plates built for warmer weather. Served “Fred’s Club” with a story, the blend of Pisco and Chambord crossing the Atlantic alongside Three Bean Salad and re-imagined “Broccoli Crunch” with shaved Crucifers, Harwell’s second stab at a Sloppy Joe finds inspiration from Korea while another revamp of the Butter Burger adds “Fancy Sauce.” Using Pesto and marinated Vegetables for this season’s Mushroom Flatbread it was with a blend of Vodka and Beer that plates grew heavier, Salmon well-executed beneath crisp Skin and Strawberry Pico de Gallo while “Gin Riggies” showcase Rabbit and Python Sausage amidst creamy Tomato Sauce. Doubling down on Coffee to finish, a warm mug and an Espresso Martini crowned in Horchatta Foam served side-by-side, Dessert remains a “two of each” affair featuring an all-new “Rose Parfait,” Las Vegas’ best Brownie and Donut Bread Pudding that somehow keeps getting better with time.

Recently witnessing a prominent local Chef heap praise on short-lived concepts opened amidst COVID-19 it became ever more obvious how frequently Las Vegans overlook Carson Kitchen, never mind the fact that Cory Harwell expanded into two additional states since the start of 2020 while also developing three of the Restaurant’s best seasonal menus to-date. Fortunate to have tasted every new plate at Carson Kitchen since summer of 2015, Chefs Harwell, Simon and team forever rethinking even longtime best-sellers, it was with greetings from General Manager Ethan Asch that five diners were seated at a familiar table, Nevada’s current 50% seating capacity seeing every seat taken within minutes of opening. Still DTLV’s best Restaurant since its inception, a team of talented servers providing faultless service with the utmost attention to guest safety, it was alongside paired Cocktails that dining began shortly, “Trusty Rusty” herbal and refreshing in a manner well suited for crispy Chicken Skins, spicy grilled Oysters and a retooled Beet “Salad” featuring all the flavors guests have come to love ground and spread across toasted Bread. Continuing with dueling Salads, “Street Corn Chop” delivering a refreshing summer spin on Elotes while “Hawaiian Mac” brightens its namesake with Pineapple alongside slices of Spam grilled to resemble Flatbread, diners in the know will also make certain not to pass Tempura Green Beans and Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese that never get old. Pouring a “Side Piece” for round two, think Pina Colada with a bit of acid finishing smooth, this season’s Mushroom Flatbread references American-Chinese Mu Shu with Tamago for texture while the equally-“fusion” Gyro Tacos make a triumphant return after their brief hiatus. Not forgetting Vegetarians with Broken Lasagna, while Carson Kitchen’s Shrimp Louie adds Pickled Green Beans to an otherwise familiar Bay Area classic, fans will be happy to celebrate “Jerk Turkey” Burger’s reappearance while those who favor Beef may instead opt for the “Butter Burger,” now with melted Cheeses. Taking a chance with “Peas and Thank You,” the complexity of Mezcal highlighting both Herbs and Citrus, Chicken Thighs with White Barbeque remain delicious as ever while a generous slice of buttery Barramundi holds its own atop vibrant Romesco. Undoubtedly one of Scott and Cory’s most thorough overhauls, Pork Tenderloin beneath Cherry Apricot Maple Chutney and fork-tender Short Ribs each on par with something one might find at a Strip Steakhouse for twice the price, Dessert comprised two day-one icons and one glorious homecoming, the Brownie and Bread Pudding each previously discussed at length while Banoffee “Pie” is even better than one recalls from December 2017. FIVE STARS: Innovative since opening, Carson Kitchen's excellence has seemingly become so expected that locals are prone to overlook it, but with the Spring/Summer 2021 menu arguably their best to-date Cory Harwell, Scott Simon and Ethan Asch continue to run Downtown Las Vegas’ most important Restaurant.

Waiter got our order wrong, then disappeared. Had to flag down a waitress just to get our check. Definitely not what we expected, we had heard good things about Carson Kitchen. Food was ok.

This place is an absolute must. We had dinner. Really buzzy. Great atmosphere, fantastic service and the food was excellent. We sat st the bar and had the chicken skins, lamb tortilla and prawns. WOW just WOW

Eclectic menu, good food with fresh ingredients, a bit pricey. Tried the fried chicken skins with hot honey, good eats but probably wouldn't reorder. Wife had the bacon burger...outstanding! I had the short rib flat bread...very good. Too much food and had to take some home. Beware...everything had some heat 🥵

Absolutely outstanding. Great service from Bianca. Outstanding hipster sharing style dishes. Nothing failed to deliver. I would 100%. Recommend this place.

This is the second time I have eaten here. The staff is wonderful and the food is fabulous! The Devils Eggs have a touch of pancetta and caviar that are delicious. The tempura green beans come with a pepper jelly cream cheese that I would have never thought pair together, but it works! The glazed donut bread pudding is perfect to cap off the dinner. I highly recommend leaving the strip to eat one of the best places in Vegas.

The menu was really interesting and tasted great! Everything is very fresh. We shared the veal meatballs, the special cauliflower dish and an amazing veggie flatbread with Italian sausage. We also had the dark chocolate brownie desert with a homemade vanilla ice cream made with bacon bits. While we do like bacon, would have preferred the ice cream with almonds or pecans. Even so, it was still good. The atmosphere is somewhat dark, but has a nice modern feel. Service was fun and casual.

I can see how Kerry Simon won on Iron Chef America with his burger. The Iron Chef Burger 2.0 would be able to lift Thor's hammer.

We were referred here by our tour guide to the Grand Canyon and what a hidden secret! Carson was one of the best places we ate at in Vegas. It’s definitely on our must visit places from now on. The food is delicious! We had the bacon jam, salmon, killer shrimp, steak, and Mac and cheese. All of it was outstanding! The ambiance is really cool and craft cocktails potent and great!

We had crispy chicken skin, pork belly, ny strip, black rice and oxtail risotto, and rainbow cauliflower, they are all so good! Beyond expectation! Literally the best meal we have ever had since we landed in usa! Plus nice environment and a outdoor fire. Staff are helpful and friendly as well!

All three items were outstanding--this was our favorite spot on our self-guided foodie tour! The deviled eggs were good old comfort food, dressed up, the veal meatballs were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and the fried chicken skins with smoked honey....OH MY GOSH. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

While many Las Vegas Restaurants pivoted to take-out during the earliest stages of Covid-19 Carson Kitchen felt a temporary closure was prudent, but with Phase Two of Nevada’s re-opening now ongoing Kerry Simon and Cory Harwell’s idea that helped resurrect Downtown is back doing what it does best. Recently celebrating six years serving Sin City, and doing so with ample safety features plus a customer-friendly Take Out program, it was just prior to Carson Kitchen’s noon opening that GM Matthew Harwell was found masked but cheerful, eight items ordered from the website ready to go in carefully sealed “contact free” packages. Reprising much of last year’s anniversary menu for now, a need for clever new items diminished when most guests currently seek little more than a semblance of “normalcy,” lunch was comprised entirely of items felt best-suited for travel, Cory’s infamous Chicken Skins starting things off after their Honey bath before proceeding to the Brussels Sprouts Caesar that somehow manages to make Kale desirable. Next up, Bacon Jam, every bite gone within ten minutes of a quick microwave re-heat, it was having rediscovered Oxtail Risotto last August that the dish again shined thanks to Rice with a bit of tooth mixed with Cream, the Mac & Cheese with “Shhh It’s a Secret” ingredients also rekindling memories of more predictable times that now feel distant. Continuing with some Vegetarian-friendly fare, Carson Kitchen’s menu always featuring one such Flatbread and currently recognizing Mushrooms with Bleu Cheese plus Caramelized Onions as an all-time great, fans of last year’s Broccoli Crunch should stop in soon for one last look at the Crucifer dressed in Green Goddess while omnivorous guests should never forgo a chance to indulge in Veal Meatballs topped in Foie Gras Cream fortified with Sherry. FIVE STARS: Poised for a celebratory year with expansion to Atlanta and Salt Lake City, SARS-CoV-2 had different plans for Cory, Matthew, Scott and Co., yet immediately upon reopening Carson Kitchen reminds guests of better times with Food, service and “spirit” that crosses cultures and helps to define a city unlike any other.

We’ve been huge fans of Carson Kitchen since it opened in Las Vegas. It’s the best restaurant in town and has excellent food, ambiance, and value. The staff is always incredible and it was a treat to be downtown this afternoon and find it open for lunch. A lot of places aren’t during the week anymore but they were! Our server, Alec, was fabulous. He was very nice, very educated on the menu, and a really happy, helpful person. We had the salmon, a seasonal item, and it was the best salmon I’ve had in Vegas. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. We added the bacon jam Brie, killer shrimp, beats, and ate like kings. Thanks again, Corey, Alec, and company for the incredible lunch!

Came here this week after a positive experience last year, to escape the Strip madness and find some good comforting American food. I had found memories of their meatloaf but it is no longer on the menu. Nevertheless, based on the staff advice, I went fort the cocoa-espresso NY strip. Was perfectly cooked (rare as I asked) and really good. And the dessert, the bread pudding, was definitely the thing I needed to end this perfect meal. All in all, good food, great caring staff, convenient location (close to Fremont and far from the Strip). Can’t wait to come back next year :)

I have been to Las Vegas several times and this is the first time I discovered Carson's with some friends. The food was amazing and because of the tapas style dishes we were able to try so many dishes! The deviled eggs were fantastic as were the other many dishes we enjoyed including the risotto and brussel sprouts. I will be in Vegas again in August and look forward to coming back!

Very cozy and clean place. People are very polite and friendly. no doubt, one of the best in Las Vegas.

This place has amazing food! We went for dinner as a party of 8 people. Each of us ordered something different off the menu for all of us to share family style. Every single item was delicious!

A charming modern spot to eat like the locals off the strip. Took a recommendation from another server at a coffee shop and we were delighted. The small plates are perfect to share. The deviled eggs had the perfect pop on top to elevate our palate. Highly recommend the killer shrimp - it was killer! Staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful.

We were in LV for lunch before a flight, and went through TA to find a spot. Carson Kitchen came highly rated, so we tried to get a reservation. They did not have anything available, but we took a shot and walked in with success. This is a sharable restaurant but they do have a few entries. We had the shrimp, mac and cheese, chicken thighs, and the tacos. All were excellent. They have a patio, and a separate bar, and seating to watch the food prep. All around excellent lunch that we are glad we had the opportunity to experience.

Not what I expected. Service was fine but food was not good!! My chicken was dry and had a bad taste. I tasted my daughter’s butter burger and it was nothing special. Tots suck!!!

The best dining experience hands down! Incredible ambience, eclectic menu, incredible food! The service is above and beyond! Just such a fun journey!

Friends had lunch here and couldn't stop raving about it, so we went for dinner, Waitress immediately recognised our friends on their return. Were seated and all staff were excellent and food was fantastic. Always good to see happy staff, open kitchen so could see all staff were enjoying what they do. Highly recommend.

This was our first stop on a downtown food tour, and the food we sampled was the best. We'll definitely be back for full courses! It as also walking distance to Fremont street and the container park, so there was lots to do in the area. A definite stop away from the strip!

What a major disappointment. In all honesty the food we ended up with was good but not outstanding and definitely overpriced and overrated. Chicken skins and deviled eggs were good. Never got to eat main entree. Service was poor. Reservations for 8 and not ready. Ok. Sat at bar. 2 couples who arrived after us were served first and ate before us. They were out of olive juice for drink (ok no prob but who runs out of this). They never brought drink for spouse. Finally get seated. They are out of wines ordered. Ok. We grin. We order. My entree comes and sits while my wifes never comes. We enquire. It will come soon….all this while mine sits as I wait for hers. Half hour later we tell manager forget it as we never received it. In their ONLY defense they forgive DINNER payment. SAD. Just to reiterate if the food we had was outstanding I would at least give this kudos but alas average to good.

An authentic place with kitchen view. Real flavors with quality raw material. It is very pleasantly surprising since it is not the typical American cuisine, the level is higher. It allows you to delight in each flavor. We ordered the eggs, some spicy prawns, orange salad with feta cheese and beetroot figs and the rib.....each dish exceeded the previous one. From 10!! If you’re passing through Las Vegas stay away from the amusement park and get into this piece of restaurant

Revolutionary since opening Carson Kitchen’s greatness has seemingly become so expected that many are prone to overlook it, but on Sunday afternoon 124 South 6th Street again showed well with several new items debuted this season. Fortunate to have tasted every new plate at Carson Kitchen since summer of 2015, Chefs Harwell, Simon and team forever rethinking even longtime best-sellers, it was alongside drinks that dining began shortly, all well-suited to iconic Bacon Jam and Tempura Green Beans with Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese. Continuing with Devil’s Eggs, equally enjoyable today as in 2014, Young Beets stand out thanks in a new form while seasonal Salads are highlighted by Warm Spinach in Molasses best enjoyed adjacent grilled Oysters with Miso and a bit of heat. Forever exuding creativity, quality and the sort of Food that challenges without compromise Spanish-inspired Potatoes are the latest Vegan showcase and for pescatarians Striped Bass with crispy Skin shines atop Beans prepared to resemble Cassoulet. Going Mortadella and Pesto for this season’s flatbread, and continuing Pot Roast “Between Bread,” all-new Butternut Bolognese folds Squash into the traditional mix before wise guests finish with perfectly cooked Pork beneath Apple and Cranberry Chutney that tastes like the Holidays. Always wise to save room for Dessert, Carson’s “Buckle” more Sticky Bun than Grandma’s Fruitcake, Las Vegas’ best Brownie and Donut Bread Pudding remain mainstays and should be requisite to end a visit to DTLV’s best Restaurant.

The bartenders were so knowledgeable and lovely. I got the Duck 3 Ways and my mind was blown. Beautiful food! Great dining experience for a special occasion amongst friends or family. The ambiance and service were fantastic. Presentation was also very good.

3/5 Stars. Blonde female host didn't want to honor birthday reservation even though I had reserved a 5:15 table for only two people and reserved outside online through Open Table. Host stated "We had a private party buy out the tables and outdoor area because they originally had the rooftop but it is now too windy for them. So we're seating you at the bar counter." So, you sold my reserved table to a bigger group and now we have to sit at the crowded walk-in noisy bar? No thanks. They also said all of their indoor tables are booked so the bar is the only option. They eventually allowed us to sit at an extra/flimsy high-top table outside but said "you'll have to be done by 7:00" which is crazy considering we had the reservation first but whatever. Other than the bad host and not honoring reservations, the food was pricey (about $50-100 per person) but good and our male waiter was great and knowledgeable of the menu. They need to better manage their online reservations or at least honor them. Note you have to pay for parking - $5 first hour and $4 per hour beyond first with a couple of paid lots down the road and more limited paid street parking options with a meter maid walking around.

Get shorty drink was amazing. Food was epic we had the turkey burger, cauliflower and pepp on pepp flatbread

Food ranges from average (green beans) to excellent (black rice and oxtail cheesy goodness). They were understaffed and we hardly saw our server. There was a long wait to order and what should have been a one hour lunch turned into 1.5 hours.

We sat at the counter and enjoyed our experience. The food was delicious! Very innovative dishes. Substantial serving sizes.

Never content to rest on past success, locations in Salt Lake City and outside Atlanta opened amidst a global pandemic, Carson Kitchen Las Vegas launched Sunday Brunch on the final weekend of September – and damn is it delicious. Still DTLV’s best Restaurant after six years, a team of talented women and men currently led by Chef Scott Simon cooking for 50% capacity, it is donning masks that guests are welcomed beginning at 11:00am, the waning days of Matthew Harwell’s tenure as General Manager predictably featuring faultless service with the utmost attention to guest safety. The first time offering Brunch, something of a surprise as founder Kerry Simon once made his name with boozy midday services at Hard Rock and The Palms, it is from the mind of Cory Harwell that nine new items are offered in addition to all Carson Kitchen’s classics and seasonal innovations. Offering socially distanced seating in the shade outside, a six-top beneath two umbrellas still reaching 90ᵒF with the sun directly overhead, it was alongside Iced Tea and paired Cocktails that dining began shortly after arrival, “The Dude Abides” riffing Jeffrey Lebowski’s famous White Russian while “Bubbles Is My Dancin’ Name” is a Fruit-forward easy-sipper that pairs beautifully to texturally-complex Oatmeal and Mascarpone-stuffed Sopaipilla French Toast each balancing spice with Sugar. Filled to current-capacity by noon, a second round of Food and Beverage arriving after share plates were refreshed, two types of Bloody Mary see bartenders lean heavily on the kitchen for inspiration, Cory’s famous Bacon Jam turning up in a more classic version while Celery Salt lines the rim of “Beets By CK” featuring plenty of earthy notes bolstered by Gin. Never passing on Crispy Chicken Skins, as delicious today as they have been twenty-times prior, new plates focused on Eggs include ubiquitous Avocado Toast and a Goat Cheese Frittata for those seeking something light, though more indulgent guests will likely gravitate to Spam atop Fried Green Tomatoes with Poached Eggs and Hollandaise or Shrimp and Grits that take the Southern classic to new heights via Mint, Fish Sauce and Chiles. Happy to see Kerry’s iconic Edamame back on the menu, a large bowl circling once before settling in front of its biggest fan, both “Water Malone” and “Tangled Up In Blue” are precisely the sort of drink one might find themselves ordering seconds (or thirds) of before the alcohol adds up, which is pretty much the idea when sharing decadent Oxtail Hash or a Pork Belly Sandwich that eats less weighty than expected thanks to a soft Bun and herbaceous Spread. Certainly not forgetting “Chicken & Waffle,” Carson Kitchen’s “Secret Sunday” blend coating the Bird atop Waffles incorporating “shhhh, it’s a secret” Mac ‘n Cheese, there is nothing secret about this writer’s love of Cory’s Bourbon Fudge Brownie with Brown Butter Bacon Ice Cream, though the seasonal “Beery” Crumble with Chela Cream, Streusel and Lemon Zest is lighter and nearly as delectable.

There were a few street folks but they weren't scary or confrontational. Interior is industrial chic that is very well done. Ambience is comfortable even when a bit crowded. Food was amazing! We tried Devil's eggs, duck tacos and the Secret Sunday chicken sandwich. Shared everything. Prices were not that bad for the quality and the service.

I chose this restaurant based on the positive reviews. The food was absolutely delicious. We sat at the bar and I watched the chef and his assistant cooking the orders. The kitchen was very clean. It was pretty cool to watch as they moved about in the kitchen and they were so calm and nothing seemed to rattle them or disrupt their work flow. My husband and I shared the rainbow cauliflower and it was so good, we each had the black rice and oxtail risotto and it was so creamy and savory and delicious, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The dining room is rather small so they recommended making reservations. I didn’t realize this before we went but they still seated us promptly at the bar. I’d definitely eat here again.

Went with my family on vacation and had a great experience! I recommend ordering for the table family-style and enjoying together. Service could have been better with an appetizer taking forever due to staff miscommunication, but everything that hit the table was delicious. Some memorable items we all loved were the chicken thighs, mushroom flatbread, deviled eggs, and the short rib steak. Good people, lively atmosphere, and good food at reasonable off-strip prices, don't miss out.

We went there with my elderly parents. I think the noise level was too much for them but we all agreed the food was delicious. We ordered several tapas for the table and the chicken sandwich with the pickle aioli. It was all delicious. I would definitely return.

Local who loves this place. A rotating menu of American taps. This is perfect for people who love to share plates.

My party of four patronized this restaurant to celebrate a birthday at lunchtime. This restaurant is known for its signature cocktails/mocktails as well as seasonal fare. The deviled eggs for appetizers were to die for. I had the beet salad and mint julep mocktail and others had the chicken Caesar salad. The Caesars were so ample, we had to get a doggie bags. All were delish! Service was very good but we did not feel rushed. We have been here for lunch before and will be back again!

Cauliflower chilli amazing and shareable. Butternut squash flatbread melted in your mouth, nice combo of flavors. chicken riggies spicy but so tasty with gin tomato cream sauce, and Beer brat aioli sandwich was delectable. Lovely quiet quaint family style place. Ambiance Felt warm and staff was very friendly.

The variety of new and interesting dishes really made this place stand out. The bacon jam was a really great dish. The flavor of the jam mixed with the cheese created a wonderful dish. The green beans, eggs, and chicken skins were good

We had taken a taxi to Fremont Street and after feeling like there was nothing decent to eat in that area, we took a walk and happened upon Carson Kitchen . What a great gem away from the Fremont Street area. The inside vibe is very urban, industrial and we ate lunch on a great outdoor patio with a fire pit and umbrellas. They had a nice specialty cocktail menu and beer and a surprising menu. The Mexican street polenta and warm spinach salad were delicious. We also enjoyed the meatloaf sandwich and the secret Sunday chicken sandwich with spicy tater tots. The food was fresh and made to order. Service was friendly and attentive. I wouldn't return to Fremont street but I would take a taxi from the strip to dine here. Reservations accepted.

We were looking for a good restaurant in the Fremont St area downtown, and read some good reviews (on Trip Advisor, natch) on this spot and gave it a try. We loved it. Mostly smaller plates made for sharing it was perfect for our party of four. Excellent waitstaff, excellent food, reasonable cost. It's a small place, maybe 15 tables, then discovered they have an outdoor area and perhaps and upstairs as well. Inside can be a little noisy, but a number of tasty items on the menu. It's a place I would absolutely go again and take friends to. Tiny bar with some excellent cocktails.

We went here at the recommendation of an Uber driver who is also a chef and foodie - and it did not disappoint. Casual and bustling vibe but not so loud to interfere with simple conversation. The menu is creative comfort food and executed perfectly. The yrecommend shared plates, so for the two of us we ordered three dishes. The beet tartare was lusciously tender with hints of sweetness and accents like crushed pistachios. The pork meatloaf came as two inch-thick slices that were griddled on the sides and dressed in a molasses glaze, and was delicious. The three bean salad had a pesto-like green dressing that was subtle and herbaceous (not typical basil and garlic), and came with strips of ham and crispy pork rinds mixed in, making it a heartier dish than just a bean salad. We were seated at a counter overlooking the open kitchen, so we saw all the other dishes coming out. Even though we were more than full from our dinner, we longed to try the deviled eggs, mac & cheese, and secret chicken sandwich. A great find in downtown Las Vegas.

This place rates well on all the reviews sites and so it should. The menu is fairly basic but what's on the menu is just delightful and perfectly done. The staff could not be nicer. I had the NY strip. Best steak I've had in the US (well in Las Vegas anyway) cooked perfectly, great flavour.

We checked it out after my husband had seen great reviews and wow it was delish!! Kendal was our waitress and she was awesome!!!! We ate at quite a few places during our trip and by far Kendal was the best waitress we had! The food came out fast and was amazing!! We definitely will be back next time we come to Vegas!!

This restaurant has a good take on some dishes. It is located off the Las Vegas strip and the area around is being developed. I parked on the street and you pay for parking. There was a pretty decent crowd and I was seated at the bar being solo. I ordered fried chicken strips with a honey dip. The strips were crunchy and tasty with the honey dip. I also had Gyro tacos that had ground lamb with Feta cheese. I liked the fusion dishes and the experience. Service was attentive and quick. Prices are reasonable.

Pleasantly surprised. All of our food choices were delicious, and service was amazing. I believe our waitress was Brooke. We each had a plate off of a different part of the menu, from seafood to chicken sandwhich. It was all scrumptious! We will definitely be back!

Fortunate to have tasted every new plate at Carson Kitchen since summer of 2015, Chefs Harwell, Simon and team forever rethinking even longtime best-sellers, it was to cap a weekend full of All-Stars that three guests sat down Saturday evening to enjoy a meal of long-time favorites and newcomers. Still DTLV’s best Restaurant since its inception, a team of talented servers providing faultless service with the utmost attention to guest safety, it was under the watchful eye of GM Ethan Asch that twelve plates arrived in rounds, indelible Chicken Skins always the first thing ordered and equally enjoyable today as in 2014. Continuing with hearty Clam Chowder that Scott Simon describes as “Chicago-style,” Hot Sausage bridging Manhattan and New England, Tempura Green Beans remain crave-worthy thanks to crisp coating ready to support Pepper Jelly Spread while “Devil’s” Eggs use Pork and Caviar to elevate each bite. Smart to add the Beets, currently masquerading as Tartare brightened by Lemon and Goat Cheese, Foie Butter & Jelly sees Harwell once again make an exotic ingredient accessible to all while Pork Meatloaf arrives bargain-priced for the portion with is expected decadence countered by Molasses. Always happy to split a Flatbread, mainstay Pepp on Pepp pairing Cup n’ Char to Pepperoncini atop a darkened Crust, Secret Sunday continues to deliver what Chick-fil-A never has alongside a complimentary cup of Tots. Never less than “one of each” at Dessert, Las Vegas’ best Brownie and Donut Bread Pudding previously discussed at length, Pineapple Upside Down Buckle delivers the goods without flexing for the #gram and shows that real Restaurants care much more about taste and texture than how many “likes” an influencer gets. FIVE STARS: Innovative since opening, Carson Kitchen’s excellence has seemingly become so expected that locals are prone to overlook it, but with the current menu as good as ever Cory Harwell, Scott Simon, David English, Rachel Tate and Ethan Asch continue to run Downtown Las Vegas’ most important Restaurant.

Had heard great things about this place and called in on the spur of the moment to see if they could fit us in - thankfully they could. It’s a small place and was consistently busy which gives it a nice buzz. After discussing the options with our servers we opted for: - Killer shrimp to share as a starter. This was easily one of the nicest shrimp dishes I have ever eaten. - Blackened Catfish and NY Strip Steak as main courses. Both cooked as requested, very tasty, and well presented. - Mac & Cheese as a side dish. Again this was very tasty and deliciously creamy. It’s worth pointing out that they work on the basis that the food comes out as soon as it’s cooked, so you could find random dishes appearing on your table at different times. Seemed a bit strange at first, but got used to the idea and it didn’t affect the meal, so not a problem for us. Have to give a big THANK YOU to our servers (Rochelle & Chris) as they were both very attentive without being overbearing. They are a real credit to the restaurant. One slight downside was the young lady / maitre de type person who seated us. She was quite sullen and stomped around the place like a moody teenager. She also had a habit of pulling her hair across her mouth/nose and sniffing it. I found it a little off-putting, especially when she did it while walking past our table. That said, it wouldn’t stop me from going again, so it could just be that I’m being over picky. All in all, it’s a great restaurant with an interesting menu and well worth a visit.

If you have not tried this place you are missing out! Don’t walk run. The food was amazing. We tried several of the appetizers all amazing. Shared a couple of the main entrees the Mac and cheese best ever hands down. And the doughnuts bread pudding Yum! This is a must try when in town. Love the atmosphere, great place!

We had the deviled eggs and killer shrimp which our server recommended and they were fantastic. The Get Shorty drink was delicious. They also had PBR in bottles which pleased my husband😊

Ground-breaking since opening Carson Kitchen’s greatness has seemingly become so expected that many are prone to overlook it, but on Sunday Afternoon 124 South 6th Street was jammed-packed for a 10th Anniversary menu that continues to exude creativity, quality and the sort of Food that challenges without compromise yet always seems delicious and familiar. Fortunate to have tasted every new plate at Carson Kitchen since summer of 2015, Chefs Harwell, Simon and team forever rethinking even longtime best-sellers, it was alongside Beer that dining began shortly, locally-brewed Mexican Lager well-suited to iconic Chicken Skins, bubbling Bacon Jam and Tempura Green Beans with Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese. Continuing with more Skins, equally enjoyable today as in 2014, Grilled Oysters stand out thanks to Bloody Mary “Butter” while seasonal Salads are highlighted by Broccoli Crunch and the ever-reinventing “Young Beet Wedge” Again rethinking Gyros as Tacos, this time with Feta Crema, chilled Asparagus proves perfect for 100+F temperatures or as an enjoyable side to seasonal Flatbreads including Hot Honey Mushrooms or Italian Sausage. Herbaceous across both “Girl From Ipanema” and “Shorts & Blazers,” though “Bitter Yenta” takes its name a bit too seriously, Rainbow Cauliflower and Veal Meatballs have both made a triumphant return while Cory’s “Country Cuban” remains one of Carson’s all-time best Sandwiches. Not forgetting skin-on Barramundi brightened by Red Pepper Romesco, nor Brunch’s Chicken & Waffle that makes good use of two Carson Kitchen classics, “two of each” Dessert proved just enough when talking about Las Vegas’ best Brownie and Donut Bread Pudding but maybe still too little for Banoffee “Pie” spiked with Bailey’s.

Dropped into here and wow it’s a gem. The staff were fab and really helpful with menu choices. The portions were plentiful and extremely tasty. Only negative was the low stools weren’t very comfy but this is definitely a must visit :)

Came here with colleagues to have a relaxed dinner. Other than the noisy place (when full), we enjoyed it very much! The pumpkin soup is nice and a bit spicy. The beetroot with goat cheese was yummy! We also shared a new york steak and short ribs dish which were both a delight. But, the winner of them all was the salmon- it was an absolute pleasure. Well pan fried, but not over-cooked and seasoned to perfection. The cauliflower was the only dish that disappointed us - perhaps we missed, or perhaps they didn't mention, but it was heavily seasoned and over-spiced, in my perspective. As a desert we shared the brownie - definitely a pleasant ending to a perfect evening 🍷 Along with 2 × 9oz of wine (malbec and Portuguese blend which was great) it was roughly $60 each, and $300 in total. Enjoy!

Where do I even begin?! We had our wedding meal here last night and hired the roof terrace. From start to finish it was PERFECT! The food is delicious, the cocktails are amazing and the staff are exceptional. Thank you for making our wedding even more special, we’ll be back next time we are in the states for sure!

The starters were awesome. We had the tempura green beans which were tasty and the bacon Jam The entrees were good. The Mac and cheese was good and the pepperoni pepperchini flatbread was awesome. The meatloaf wasn’t great., with a daisy that was too sweet for our taste. The chicken sandwich was huge! Sad the Diet Coke was served in a warm can with a glass of use that didn’t help much. The ambiance was noisy and the moving of furniture upstairs constantly and loudly drew our attention to the ceiling. Overall it was a good experience.

Second visit to this restaurant and it was as good as the first time. The food is amazing and you will not be disappointed. The sharing starters were all excellent however the best was the brie and jam. Will definitely visit again.

A great little spot a little off the grid but close enough to Freemont! The food looks and tastes amazing! Great and personable staff who pay just the right amount of attention to their customers! Thanks Alec! Make sure you reserve but we did show up without a reservation and were seated quickly! Go with friends and share your plates!

My friend brought us here for a dinner our first night in Vegas as this is one of her favorite restaurants. We tried the gyro tacos, the deviled eggs, the steak, and the bacon jam. The bacon jam and brie was so delicious and was definitely my favorite bite of food. This place is a small plates type restaurant so it's nice to get a lot of plates to share with whomever you're with. I would recommend!

If you are looking for a restaurant outside the strip with good food this is the place to go. The staff is very kind and friendly (except the receptionist who was little bit rude) large choice on the menu. Most of the plates are for sharing… The eggs devil & the Mc & Cheese was my favorite…

Definitely the best food we had in Vegas by far! Fresh ingredients, great combinations, lovely flavours. A proper dining experience. And the service was excellent too.

They say "tapas style" so I expected small portions but I was wrong. We ordered the tempura green beans and bacon jelly for starters and ordered our entrees at the same time. The starters came out and they were huge! We could have easily ordered one more starter for the three of us. We also had the gyro tacos, mac & cheese and chicken sandwich with spicy tots. All we delicious and we had enough leftovers to have dinner that night.

I had no clue what to expect when I heard American Tapas but they lived up to the hype! Great atmosphere, beautiful waitresses, and delicious food. Parking was $3-5 which was a bummer but everything else was great. I highly recommend the bacon jam and spicy shrimp! So good and reasonably priced!

We discovered this address by reading the other comments... This restaurant is definitely worth a visit: the setting is top, the team very friendly and of course the dishes are delicious and hearty! In short, don’t miss this great intimate restaurant! Prices are reasonable compared to what can be found elsewhere in Vegas. We enjoyed it!

Get the bacon ham! I've had it before but not like this. Clearly one of the best things I've put in my mouth. Wife loved her pork tenderloin. My chicken sandwich with the aioli was perfect. We shared the glazed donut bread pudding and the Banoffee Pie and couldn't decide which one was better. They were awesome. Our server Eugenia and the hostess who I didn't catch her name made it feel like family coming home and genuinely seemed enthusiastic with their recommendations and service. Outstanding!

Waiter advised us to order 2-3 dishes per person and share. Better advice is 2-3 dishes per couple. Over-hyped bacon jam but sliced NY strip was tasty. Food service was poorly coordinated; two veggie dishes we ordered came as the last course. Paid $80 per person.

I discovered this gem of a place during my Fremont walking tour experience and circled back after it had made a good first impression on me. I believe my server Chloe recommended the beet salad after telling her I was looking for a dish that was light and refreshing. I probably side eyed her a bit because who in their right mind highlights this type of dish when you have yummier sounding options like gyro tacos or baked mac n cheese? Plus, I am normally NOT a huge fan of this vegetable but she convinced me otherwise. Basically a trust me girl…I won’t steer you wrong type moment. And boy, was she ever right. I think this was one of the best salads I have ever eaten in my life. So kudos to you Chloe for voicing up and heavily advocating on behalf of this dish. It would’ve been a huge mistake on my part to have overlooked it on the menu. And great job chef. If you are a local, and have not frequented this restaurant yet, please do so immediately because this place delivers big time on food quality, flavors and overall ambience.

As with every new season for the past five years, Autumn 2019 delivers a multitude of new ideas from the crew at Carson Kitchen, planned openings of locations in Salt Lake City and Atlanta soon bringing the Restaurant that launched Las Vegas’ off-Strip revolution to new people in new places while Sin City continues to benefit from Kerry Simon and Cory Harwell’s willingness to take a chance on downtown. Nothing less than iconic at 124 South 6th Street, Suite 100 of the John E. Carson Building continuously busy both day and night, it was shortly after doors opened at 11:30am that four guests found themselves seated at room’s center, a young woman named Angel pouring Beverages while tunes from The Strokes and Modest Mouse played overhead at low-volume. Never content to rest on past success, even after unadulterated praise for a recent “greatest hits” menu that returned several favorites to the spotlight during Las Vegas’ scorching summer, it is from a team of talented women and men currently led by Chef Scott Simon that new ideas take shape, General Manager Matthew Harwell predictably overseeing service and a Cocktail program that has recently given longtime staff an unprecedented degree of creative control. Only quiet for the first fifteen minutes of this Saturday, every seat except for those at the bar accounted for by 12:30, it was with a focus on new plates that lunch took place across five courses, the first starring frenched-Frog Legs that eat like Garlic Parmesan Wings and spicy grilled Oysters, plus stacked Turkey Breast on a Pretzel Roll that makes a delicious seasonal pairing to the Cider-like sipper titled “How Bout Dem Apples” from bartender Felicia Taylor. Always attentive to guest feedback, even from the mouths of a constant complainers, it was in transition to the second course that diners were served Bacon Jam 2.0 with Havarti in place of Brie, its mixability improved and each bite bit smoother, while Chelsea Barto’s “See the World Find an Old Fashioned Girl” took an herbaceous route leading guests from Spinach Salad through Gyro Tacos and Harwell’s ever-present Vegetarian Flatbread that this time features Mushrooms, Gruyere Cheese and Pickled Onions. Continuing with two new Entrees, each Eastern European in influence and $20 or less, it is safe to say that 90% of the Schnitzel tasted in Germany fell short of Carson Kitchen’s crispy version served with pickled Potatoes, while sour Plum Sauce worked wonders for skin-on Trout gently sweetened by Molasses. Suggested a Dark and Stormy-inspired beverage from Geronimo Robles next, its viscosity and sweetness standing up well to three of the menu’s spicier selections, those assuming “Hatch Chile Philly Flatbread” too hot will be pleasantly surprised that sweating and smoking the Peppers yields balance, while Chicken “Riggies” dressed in Gin Sauce, instead of Vodka, brings the fire. Turning hearty for three more, soft Spuds in Beer Cheese precisely what a Midwesterner might expect at a wake, fans of American-style Chinese Food will find plenty to love about Carson’s current Chicken Thighs while Cory’s “Butter Burger” is as texturally pleasing as ever, and even better with the “menu hack” addition of Bacon Jam. Skipping Coffee in favor of “Baxter Bark Twice,” its backbone of Scotch subdued by Amaro and Citrus, it is thanks to notes of Anise and Sage that this drink pairs well to both Carson Kitchen’s thick Chocolate Brownie and an intensely seasonal sweet called Beeramisu made with Stout, Pumpkin Cream and boozy Cranberries. FIVE STARS: Fresh off a greatest hits menu attesting to quality and innovation since opening, Carson Kitchen's Autumn 2019 menu sees the Restaurant more seasonal than ever with bold flavors that are hearty but not heavy and new Cocktails that are herbaceous yet Spirit focused.

Had a lovely business colleague dinner here at this off Fremont gem. We ended up ordering a bunch of stuff off the menu to share across five of us along with some cocktails. I started with a pricey bourbon/bacon craft cocktail that was absolutely delicious and worth the extra $. Everything we ordered in terms of food was very good. Deviled Eggs, Chicken Skins, Bacon Jam (SO good), Killer Shrimp, Wonton Crunch, Mexican Street Polenta (superb), Three Bean Salad, Minted Snap Peas and a Short Rib Flatbread. We had to try dessert of course so got the Fudge Brownie and Donut Bread Pudding... wonderful! The service was friendly, good and we all enjoyed our dinner experience here!

Very unique and fresh ingredients used on all selections. Small plates so we could try different menu items. The service was great with helpful tips on how to navigate the menu. We will definitely be back in the near future.

We are staying on the strip, but wanted to go explore downtown. It was close to lunchtime so I researched possibilities and this came up. I am so glad we went! Our waitresses name was Kendall. She was amazing! We had lots of questions that she patiently answered and gave great suggestions when we asked. I am vegetarian and my husband needs gluten free and yet we found several options for us.The food was AMAZING! Highly recommend!

This place was meant to be a gastropub, whatever this word means and not a full-blown restaurant. Appetizers were very well received, including the pumpkin soup and pork belly along with the eggplant schnitzel. Then came the main course of Short Rib steak and Pork meatloaf. The steak was served with a sauce that was way too salty and the meatloaf was covered with yet again salty gravy. Manageable, but noticeable. Tres Leches was a fiasco. And top it all off was the hostess with an attitude who made a face when I asked to be seated away from the constantly opening door into the garden. At 5.30 seating the place wasn't crowded, so there were no logistical issues. Just a hostess named Mo with an attitude.

This was a very pleasant surprise! The atmosphere was hip and cool, perfect for date night. Not too loud, staff was friendly and attentive. Food was absolutely phenomenal. Deviled eggs with caviar, broccoli salad, trout, chicken sandwich, everything was wonderful!

Ideal for an original and delicious meal in Las Vegas. Very delicious dishes. The Steak that is meatless, with beet and tangerine is fantastic and the Mac and Cheese is very good.

Inventive and delicious food, served in sharable formats. Service was capable and friendly. Food comes out when it's ready, so the order in which you get things can be a bit random. But overall, this was a reasonably priced option for Las Vegas and quite good in quality.

The first bite of the Carson Kitchen sandwich is a revelation. The tender chicken, crispy bacon, and creamy avocado melt in your mouth, creating a symphony of flavors that dance on your tongue. The blue cheese adds a tangy kick that balances the sweetness of the honey mustard.

Continually pushing forward, locations in Salt Lake City and outside Atlanta opened amidst a global pandemic, Carson Kitchen Las Vegas launched Sunday Brunch on the final weekend of September 2020 and recently added a few tweaks to compliment an already-stunning Spring/Summer menu. Still DTLV’s best Restaurant since its inception, a team of talented servers providing faultless service with the utmost attention to guest safety, it was with General Manager Ethan Asch leading the way that an Independence Day celebration got started with “Fat Elvis,” the King’s favorite Sandwich served like Carson Kitchen’s delectable Beet Tartare Toast but upgraded further by Toffee Sauce. Filled to capacity by noon, waves of Food and Beverage arriving as share plates were refreshed frequently, additional new plates from Chefs Harwell and Simon include spicy Breakfast Tacos plus “Garbage Hash” built from Short Rib and Pork Belly dressed-up in fine-dining quality Demi-glace. Never passing on Crispy Chicken Skins or Bacon Jam, each as delicious today as they have been twenty-times prior, bonus Breakfast plates include “Chicken & Waffle” featuring Carson Kitchen’s “Secret Sunday” Bird atop Waffles incorporating “shhhh, it’s a secret” Mac ‘n Cheese, plus a reformatted Spam Benny with Cornbread and Shrimp and Grits that take the Southern classic to new heights via Mint, Fish Sauce and Chiles. Continuing with Salad, “Hawaiian Mac” brightening its namesake with Pineapple alongside slices of Spam grilled to resemble Flatbread, diners in the know will make certain not to pass Tempura Green Beans and Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese or Black Rice & Oxtail Risotto that never get old. Next veering fusion with American-Chinese Mu Shu Mushroom Flatbread including Tamago, before snapping back to America via the retooled Butter Burger and Steakhouse quality Pork Tenderloin, Dessert comprised two day-one icons and one glorious homecoming, the Brownie and Bread Pudding each previously discussed at length while Banoffee “Pie” is even better…though the all-new deep fried French Toast Sticks from Brunch are also quite formidable.

The salad was tasty, Packaging was good. I wouldn't go seek it out to eat here. Definitely plenty of food, The sauce bar is kinda a bit of a mess though but I do like that it is open and available for you to grab what you like and how much you want..

The food is fabulous and the concept of smaller tasting dishes to share is marvelous. There were five of us and we ordered ten different courses to share--a little more than was rational, but clearly worth it as we thoroughly enjoyed every morsel. Everyone had their preferences---for me, my favorites were the Grilled Oysters, the Lollipop Frog Legs, the Devil's Eggs, the Mushroom Pizza and the Glazed Donut Bread Pudding. We enjoyed discussing each of the food choices---superb tastes and lively conversation will always equate to a fun experience. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu which was greatly appreciated. Check out my photos for more details.

A lovely evening with my wife. Black rice and oxtail risotto, veal meatballs, short ribs steak, and barramundi. A most excellent meal accompanied by two very tasty cocktails. And reasonably priced...especially for Vegas. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Recommend this 100%

Very unassuming from outside, Lyft taxi wasnt sure where it was on road but we found it. Very good service from start to finish. Food is small plates & little different to most places but very very good. We shared crispy chicken skins, tempura green beans with dip, bacon jam/goats cheese with bread and pork belly bites, all yummy. We then had to have the donut bread pudding with caramel sauce after seeing fellow diners eat in (we were on shared high table which was fun seeing other dishes), wow it was delicious. Great selection of craft lager/beer/ales as well

The food and service were very good, and, unlike some other Las Vegas restaurants, very clean. The problem is that, unless you can one of the few seats at the bar (like I did), you will be sitting on a metal stool with no back support, an impossibility for me. We had the beet salad, gyro tacos, and peach cobbler. All were very good, and our waitress was charming and efficient.

We were looking for somewhere to eat near Fremont Street with good food that wasn’t a fancy place where we had to be dressed up. I saw a few recommendations online that included Carson’s Kitchen on their list. I’m so happy we decided to try it out! The food was excellent! We tried the Killer Shrimp and Duck Taco appetizers, two of the burgers and chicken sandwich, the oxtail risotto, and the glazed donut bread pudding. All of it was amazing. Highly recommend! It was noisy inside but I think that’s pretty much everywhere in Vegas.

Our first visit we both enjoyed our meals . We recommend Carson. The service was superb as well. Glad we stopped. Very friendly staff

The food at this place rivals the best restaurants on the strip or anywhere for that matter. We were in Vegas for 4 days and went here twice. Had a good mix of items on the menu and they were all sensational!! Had the chicken thighs which were juicy, tender and a bit spicy. Most people won’t consider it too spicy but given the not spicy Norwegian style palate we have in MN we found some heat in there. Mac and cheese was creamy and had a good flavor. Had the chicken skins which had much more of a crunch than we expected but loved the play of the sweet and salty with the honey. Now for the REALLY good stuff. The bacon jam. My god. Comes to the table bubbling away with a strip of golden brown cheese melted in the middle. Great flavor from the bacon. Played on the sweet, salty and savory notes. Biting in to it immediately will make you suffer from molten hot dip. So I would spread, nibble on other stuff then come back to it. The dip almost sticks to your teeth like candy. But it is absolutely delicious. Got this both times. The glazed donut bread pudding. Another all star dish. I’m not positive but I’d imagine they get the donuts from the donut bar next door. Warm, sweet, spongy beautifully custardized bread pudding with the two sauces. One of my favorite desserts I’ve ever had. I will have dreams about it. But the real deal #1 item, honestly the greatest thing I have ever eaten is their pork belly. I don’t know how they do it but the fat in the pork is just absolutely liquified and the pork just falls apart. They get a nice crisp on the top and bottom. The plate had a small pool of fat after eating a piece of the pork. Liquified. And then my 3 new favorite words ever. Buffalo. Beurre. Blanc. A rich buttery French sauce with a tiny bit of heat with the Buffalo sauce. I would bathe in this stuff, wish I had it coursing through my veins, wish it was a cologne scent…legit the greatest thing on the planet!! The atmosphere and ambiance are top notch too. Dim lighting. Hole in the wall feel. Great music playlist. Open kitchen full of people who you can tell truly believe in and care about what they are doing. Service was great too especially our first visit. The young lady that waited on us seemed genuinely happy with how much we loved everything. Gave us great recommendations for places to visit that put similar care and attention in do what they do as themselves. She was great. The second time we went in we were kind of ignored (for lack of a better term) they had servers on but they were quite busy so we didn’t feel frustrated at all. Totally understand. But we wound up being taken care of by our man Ethan. Who after talking to him found out he was the GM. I don’t know what they pay this guy but it isn’t enough. He was running the expo line, hosting, bussing dishes and stuff inside and outside, running food to tables and even serving table in our case. The dude was all over the place, extremely attentive, didn’t sacrifice quality AT ALL and still took the time to talk to us for a few minutes. This place is perfect in every way. Loved every moment of both of our visits and will demand that friends visit there and we will stop in every single time we are in town. In my wife’s words “they opened my eyes to what food can really be” and this was after eating at some really great places around the world. Keep it up! Can’t wait to go back!!

We finally made it to the Carson kitchen. A cute little gastropub near Fremont street. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful and willing to give suggestions. We split a couple of appetizers... the fried green beans were delicious and had a tomato jam cream cheese accompaniment. We also had the killer shrimp.. it had a little kick to it and was good, but not amazing. We went with sandwiches. My husband had the hamburger and I had the chicken sandwich. Both were excellent, but the chicken edges out the hamburger just a little bit. Our friends shared the halibut and the oxtail risotto, they cleaned their plates so they both must have been good. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the specialty drinks or the desserts, but there is always next time. A great place to nosh with friends, have a good conversation and share a meal.

Deviled eggs and Risotto were standouts Angel attended to us well Great Old Fashioned cocktail Stopped in around 230 for late lunch with my son Unassuming place with haute cuisine Don’t miss this one!

Nice off-the-strip experience. Some dishes surprised to the upside, like the frog legs and sesame chicken. Most were too saucy or too fried. Pretty sparse inside. Worth going to once or twice but there are many other restaurants to try as well.

I lucked into finding this on a walk down Carson to get off the hectic pace of Fremont street. Lucky it was Thursday night and they had an opening. I started with a Manhatten that was strong and delicious! The Hawaiian pasta with fried Spam was a nice treat, I didn't expect it to be cold, but that worked well as everything else was cooked, so having a variety was a happy mistake. The Gyro tacos were great, then I had the Veal meatballs with such a creamy Sherry Foie Gras sauce, then the Chicken Thighs with a blast of flavor, do you want to know what an Alabama white sauce is? Delish, is what I have to say and the staff was helpful but real. They won't sugar coat it for you, I like that direct approach. In the end, I was saving one bite of everything for a grand finale. Shoot out the confetti, I will have another drink!

It was a bit hard to reach due to construction closing off the street but well worth it. Server was very helpful both with the food and the cocktails and the quality of my first drinks tempted me to hand over the keys and keep drinking. The food is meant to be shared and comes as ready. The deviled eggs were indeed good and were flying off the kitchen to other tables but the veal meatballs were our favorite appetizer. Overall the flavors were well balanced, not one overpowering the other, and the jerk turkey burger was the best burger I ever ate.

The devil eggs where out of this world. The atmosphere was excellent for a restaurant that is not on the Vegas strip. A hidden gem near Fremont Street. My mom loved the shrimp scampi and I loved the soft shell crab. Jordan our server was very friendly and excellent in her job.

We met friends early for dinner on Friday night thinking the time would be a plus; Wrong. Our appetizers, killer shrimp and oysters, came out in a timely manner and that was the only plus I can give them. Flatbreads and sandwiches were ordered and one sandwich never made the table in time to eat. I would suggest finding somewhere else to eat.

Must get the Gyro Tacos!!!!! Server suggested sharing 3-4 things. We did and got plenty of food for a lunch. I wish there had been more than 3 tacos, they were great. We were placed at counter over looking kitchen. Wonderful spot to watch the preparing of food. Very pretty presentation on plates. Would definitely recommend.

We decided to hold our wedding party at Carson’s kitchen. It was fantastic from start to finish. communication was brilliant from the start. Menus sent, well priced, very responsive. When we arrived everything was ready and waiting. Rachael was warm and welcoming. The food was unreal, the servers were attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. They kept our party well fed and watered. It is def the best food I have had in Vegas. My party of 18 absolutely raved about it. Thank you so much. You made our wedding party fantastic. Please try this place and it’s perfect for a wedding party.

Headed to downtown Las Vegas and was searching Google maps foe something g to eat, headed here, when we arrived we almost didn't go in as it seemed a but fancy but we went with our gut and mu lord it was the best meal we had. We sat at the bar as we didn't book. Steve, the bartender was amazing and explained that the dishes were good for sharing so we chose 4 items and this was plenty, the chicken skins and belly pork were INSANELY good. We then had glazed doughnuts bread pudding and the was amazing. Definitely a must visit. cocktails looked brilliant too

A.MA.ZING! Awesome staff and food. Shared the Jerk Turkey burger and Bacon Jam. Crazy good food - this place is a hidden gem

Carson Kitchen does not disappoint. The service was excellent. The drinks were top notch. I had the Bees Knees...so bloody good. My boss...had their SIMONSAYS SANGRIA...he said it was excellent. We then had the Deviled Eggs...okay...I do not eat meat so, I removed the crispy pancetta and kept the caviar...very very good. Dan had the Pork Meatloaf and I had the Pecan Halibut. We enjoyed both of our dishes. Now, this is important...dessert. We shared...split down the middle...the Glazed Donut Bread Pudding...to die for. Wicked. When you are in Vegas...you need to go to Carson Kitchen.

We went on a Wednesday evening around 6-7pm. Easy to find, right off Fremont Street (about a block away). The inside dining seats about 45 and was dark and cool which was a relief from the oppressive 110° outside. The food is served tapas style with about 3-4 tapas feeding two people. We ordered the watermelon and feta salad, killer shrimp (spicy!), short rib steak (best dish I’ve had in ages!!), and the glazed donut bread pudding. Every single one of these dishes was outstanding! Our server Bianca was super friendly and always close by to refill water and serve our tapas as they were ready. Highly recommend this place

I was super excited to have my sweetheart’s birthday brunch here while visiting Vegas. The restaurant is cool and the food and drinks were delicious. Get the donut french toast and the oysters. Our waitress Angel was super friendly and attentive be sure to ask for her. I was disappointed that the manager NEVER came over to our table to see how everything was going especially after I mentioned the reason for our visit as she was preparing to seat us. She was very attentive to a party of two that were on a foodie tour (guess some guest are more important than others). Customer service to me is as important as the quality of food and Carson’s Kitchen fell short. I might be back....give them a try - maybe your experience will be 5 star.

I loved the simple decor. Very clean. Staff helpful, prompt, and informative. Went to lunch with a friend. We chose 4 small plates to sample between us. Pork belly was the best. Bacon jam on toast was to die for. "Devil's" eggs, nummy. Spicy shrimp was fresh. Prices good. Left satisfied. A memorable meal and a place to return to again and again.

We visited Freemont Street on the last evening of our time in Las Vegas. Checked trip advisor for a good close restaurant and this popped up. We stayed in Vegas for seven days and this was the best meal we had. We even ate at Hell’s Kitchen ( which was good) but this place outdid it. Small plates, but so good. We wondered in and they were booked but had a place at the chef’s bar. We watched them cook and send out dishes like pros. Had pork, steak, green beans, and Mac and cheese. I still dream about those green beans and that sauce...wish we lived closer. A great restaurant that wasn’t pretentious and just served up great food. Only complaint...our server was almost non existent, but everyone on staff kept filling up our water and the guy checking the food going out kept checking on us. Do yourself a favor and visit!

A little off the beaten path but worth it. Food, drinks, and service were excellent! Reservations available. Worth a visit!

We drove off the Strip and downtown for lunch. They don’t accept reservations. We arrived at 11:30 and were seated promptly. The food here is delicious! We ended up ordering more to go so we had a ready made dinner in the evening. Servers are friendly and efficient. There is parking scythe street.

Carson Kitchen is a great little spot near the historical downtown Las Vegas! Great craft cocktails, good service and yummy food! The menu is small but the food is delish. Great spot to swing into of/when you are exploring the Fremont Street district.

Don’t let its sketchy downtown location fool you, the very busy Carson Kitchen is a flavor winner. You enter past a nondescript storefront exterior to an oasis of cool vibes and a busy dining room. They have a back patio and an upstairs dining area as well. The menu is basic. There are small plates to share and a few sandwich options. Plus an interesting collection of sides and a solid drink selection. I had the burger and my dining partner had the meatballs. Both were delicious. We will return to Carson Kitchen at the very first opportunity.

I came with a friend for dinner and all the staff we met were so friendly and helpful. The portion sizes are really good and the food quality was awesome. Particular shout out to the shrimp tacos that I’m still dreaming about!

Seated immediately even though we were early for our reservation. Hostess was fabulous and very informative. We dined outside in their unique garden area. They even had a place for smokers away from everyone to enjoy while waiting on food. Food is serviced family style which I am not a fan of, but it worked well with their menu. Spicy tots and burger were good. Loved the mac n cheese. It is beyond rich and very filling. I was full 24 hours later from just the mac n cheese. Service was good but it is not fast and more of a slow and relaxed meal atmosphere. Would return happily.

Great options for the last spot on the food tour- fish and chips, gnocchi, and salad. Drinks were very good as well. I was excited to go there because they win all sorts or awards- I can see why! Great service and delicious food. I would DEFINITELY plan ahead and make reservations. We just walked in with the tour but I saw them turn away many walk up people because they were so booked.

Chicken skins are amazing but the drinks that both the young bartenders made were amazing. We were on a Food Tour and the four of use got a round of drinks. 2 Perfect Manhattans, a dirty martini and house speciality. All were made as good we’ve ever had. The drinks impressed my wife enough that we brought some other friends down the next day and had 3 of their speciality drinks and another dirty. Martini. Again impressive! Highly recommend for the designer cocktails and comfort foods they offer.

Let me start this review by saying the staff at the restaurant was nice and professional. We went for brunch and were excited to try ot after so many great reviews. We ordered bacon jam, this was first bite good but acidic and greasy after the second. I didnt care for it personally, but some may like it, tasted like bbq. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was pretty but the pork belly was undercooked and pure fat so I couldnt eat it and sent it back. Chicken and Waffles were different and good. They were on mac n cheese waffle which was unique and spicy. Coffee was good however, when I finished my cream the inside of quirky shaped cream container was thick and yellow build up. I brought to the staffs attention and they credited the coffee and sandwich no problem. I was experiencing upset stomach within minutes.

We made the mistake of just going by their rating and was little shocked to see that the menu was very eclectic to say the least. It's as though the chef picked the ingredients for each meal at random. The flat bread with blue cheese on it was very very potent (read: ridiculously over powering). The mac and cheese was good and is about the only normal item on the menu. If you are a foodie and love random food combinations then this place is for you, otherwise choose carefully.

This is an exceptional restaurant, we met the owner, had some delicious food and generally had a grand time. It is the place to go if your in old downtown Vegas around Fremont Street!

We're from Omaha and took our friends from Australia out for a nice light dinner (staying at the Vdara, rented a car for the week). We didn't need anything too heavy, so a tapas type of restaurant totally fit the bill. We had great service and the gyro taco's and green beans were the best tasting items we tried. No domestic light beers but the Las Vegas beer we had tasted great. Give this place a try if you venture to Fremont Street away from the glitz of the strip.

I had a great time! I love the food and their service. Really appreciate how kind they are. The place is not crowded too.

We arrived and were seated straight away, although a Friday night they had space at a high table for us. The waitress was really knowledgeable about the dishes and we went for the mac and cheese, shrimp and tso chicken. The food all arrived at different times which was fine, however, it took a long time to even order a drink. The food atmosphere and prices were fine only slight let down was they were so busy and so service was not the best!

Carson Kitchen is a wonderful find in a nondescript location in Las Vegas. All menu items are locally sourced small plates. We shared their Caesar salad, seasoned and fried edamame, Mac and cheese and a NY strip. All were unique and delicious. Be sure to order their glazed donut bread pudding for dessert. It is to die for!

The good news is the food is very good. The bad news is they have this absurd idea that’s it’s a family style restaurant and all the dishes should be shared. Yet they have multiple Sandwiches on the menu and you have to cut them up yourself a d try to portion out. Ridiculous. It’s a shame too because if I just to eat my sad which I would have been very happy. But I was trying to do what they suggested.so instead I was just annoyed.

AH-MAZINGGGG!!!! Loved the ox tail risotto and bacon jam! So much so we came and ate twice in 4 days!!! The manager Rachel, is top shelf!

What a marvelous find! We booked this for an evening we were visiting Fremont Street and were not disappointed. We sat at the bar that overlooks the kitchen. The chef talked to us throughout the evening which was fun. We had wine, their take on an espresso martini, the bok choy wedge (outstanding flavour), chicken thighs and mediterranean cauliflower. Everything was perfection.

Did not disappoint! Love, love, loved the vibe and the food was so fresh and the flavors were over the top! We arrived around 5:00 on a Thursday, without reservations, and were seated in the bar but honestly could not have been happier. We had personal, attentive service from Kendahl, the bartender. The music selection was on point. One of the managers personally came over to tell us they were remaking our veal meatballs as the first ones were not up to par. We had the broccoli crunch,Gyro tacos, and veal meatballs and honestly, it was probably one of the most flavorful meals we’ve ever had. Kudos to the chef 🤌🏻 We will be here a few more days and honestly considering going back!

We’ve just celebrated our wedding on the patio with 25 family and friends. The service we were provided was way beyond our expectations. Amongst us, we had friends who were chefs, fine diners and also people that steer away from what you’d describe as ‘posh’ food in the UK. Carson Kitchen miraculously catered to every single type of diner. They manage to combine quality, style, and taste with informality so everyone felt at home. The bartender Steven was absolutely fantastic and delivered the highest quality of cocktails. The food was a brilliant mixture that blew everyone away. As one of our friends who is a head chef quoted “This is exceptional food”. The bacon jam and incidentally, bacon ice cream will have a lasting effect, but all dishes were 10/10. We couldn’t have asked for a better reception so thank you to all involved. On top of the service, we got lucky with the weather but the sun disappears behind the wall after 6pm so it’s a comfortable temperature (even in a wedding dress). Thank you Carson Kitchen, we recommend you to all. In fact, we’ve already posted on Reddit and can see one couple has booked with you! X

Probably THE BEST American food I had during my stays in US for work and holidays. Authentic but not simple and boring. Refined. Freakishly good! Everything was a treat - from a greeting of a hostess, till ambience, design, food, service and music they played on Pandora radio:) LOVE the place❤️ A must when in Vegas!

A very enjoyable evening spent with friends from far away. Food is prepared for 'sharing'. From the fried chicken skins, brussel sprouts, veal meatballs to the rainbow trout and turkey jerky burger can be summed up in one word. YUMMY! That was the best turkey burger I've ever had. They also have a full bar and special drinks menu. Price-wise, very affordable when compared to Strip Hotel and as tasty if not even better! Definitely a great place to unwind and enjoy the evening. The place was packed and service a little slow out of the kitchen but our server kept us informed throughout. Still everyone did not want for anything.

We arrived and could not find the place. There is a parking lot across the street and it is right next to the Donut Bar. (Just helping you to find it!) We love this place - the food is amazing and all fresh made. We had the bacon jam and deviled eggs appetizers. Both were excellent. For main courses, our party ordered the Chicken thighs with white BBQ, the chicken sandwich, a regular burger, turkey burgers, and the Mac and Cheese. No complaints because every dish was a generous portion and absolutely delicious. As a bonus, our server was amazing! I do suggest you make reservations as the interior dining is small and in colder weather the outdoor dining is typically not open.
Food was great; service is the worst and wackiest restaurant experience maybe ever
We were seated and immediately forgotten. Many servers eyed us but no one greeted us at all - 15 minutes passed & my husband approached the man who had seated us to ask about a server. Waitress came over apologized said no one assigned us having a rough day etc. it happens, no biggie we said - placed order. Food didn’t come for quite some time and then a man appears with my daughter’s Mac n cheese. Places it down disappears and we wait- 5 mins passes and I tell my daughter please eat it’s getting cold (she was waiting for us all to be served before digging in.) Then about 5 mins later our assigned waitress is back with my son’s burger. In response to our bewildered faces she says, “we serve as it’s prepared.” Okay. Still doesn’t make clear why the appetizers hadn’t made it to our table but okay. Time passes - and my husbands short rib arrives and then son’s gf gets her chicken sandwich. Another five mins and one of our appetizer’s come. Well at least I get to eat an oyster 35 mins after my daughter’s Mac and cheese had arrived. Then, hallelujah I get my trout! A few minutes later our other appetizer arrives (super yummy but burned bacon jam and half burned baguettes - seriously could have been epic if not for the burned taste. Still fully enjoyed it to be honest.) So weird. By this point there’s only one other indoor customer besides us and the guy clearing and setting tables is slamming dishes around like crazy. Just like slamming them plates down. He comes by to set the table behind us and instead of reaching opposite, he scoots inbetween the empty table and ours and his booty keeps knocking into my kids heads while he’s doing this - and I gotta tell you I’m dying trying not to laugh out loud at the comedy of the whole thing. THEN the man that seated us brings our bill and says they’ve taken the appetizers off our bill for all the trouble. Nice, right? Well we’re trying to figure out the math on the tip ( c’mon you don’t stiff a server no matter how bad it is! Bad waiters are still working their tails off for crummy wages and it’s a hard job! Plus, I’m not sure she was the one driving the clown car.) so we notice THE APPETIZERS ARE STILL ON THE BILL. Beleaguered waitress apologizes again. Finally we pay and get the heck out of there. So anyway the food is good, decor is cool (except for the TV - it’s not a sports bar, the tv is just weird) nice vibe, great music, but I don’t think we will ever go back. I wish them much luck though because the food (esp the mac&cheese & bacon jam) is really great.
