It is a great place .Service was very good .Servers were very corteous .We had an outdoor seating which was very pleasant. We had fish which was very tasty .I recommend that place .

This was my first time to this restaurant, even though I've lived in the area for 15 years. We celebrated my wife's birthday, and enjoyed excellent service, good food, and fun entertainment. OK, the food was not the best Mexican in the area, but it certainly was good enough. The service was very friendly and efficient. What made the night special was the entertainment, which you can't find anywhere else on the West side. We will definitely return. Definitely make a reservation as the place was getting full as we left.

Main dining room seating on a Saturday night was fully reserved, but we got a seat in the empty "patio" - there were only 3 other tables of diners (and about 50 tables?). The patio is less desired, as you can only indirectly see the amazing show of 12 mariachis and several folklorico dancers....but you can hear them! Wow! Excellent! They can even knock out some rat pack songs. The main room appeared to be mostly folks with celebrations - birthdays, anniversaries, etc. The staff are excellent - the manager stopped by to say hello, and each of our servers could give personal recommendations, talk about the menu, were there when you needed them. When an entrée arrived with a cold enchilada, a server said he'd bring another hot one right away, and he did. We started with queso fundido - we're originally from Texas - we want cheese and refried beans with our Mexican food! It came with 3 flour tortillas, plus we had our chips, salsa and guacamole that come on the house -- all yummy. The menu has a large variety - some entrees with a Mexican influence, some more Italian seeming, some basic American. We chose what we thought would be more Mexican. A combo with crispy taco and chicken enchilada - excellent taco - average enchilada, even once it arrived hot. The other was chile poblano (stuffed with salmon pieces), which sounded Mexican, but was far more Italian and a bit bland until the waiter brought out some habanero sauce - yummy sauce brought dish to average/good. Should have asked for refried beans instead of taking the accompanying sautéed veggies which were bland, too, and a bit overcooked. The prices were disappointing - you're paying for the show. $19 for the combo, $19 for the salmon - the average entrée price is $20, mid to high $20s for meat (pork, lamb, steak). Free valet parking (only need to tip). Make reservations if it's a weekend. Really, it's a celebration place; we won't be going back for Mexican food.

My wife and I ate dinner at Casa Sanchez and it was delicioius. I had the chicken mole and it was fabulous like my grandmother use to make. We were seated right away when we arrived. Our waiter was very attentive, the manager and the owner both introduced themselves throughout the night and asked if their was any thing else they could get us. When we arrived we were given tortilla chips, guacamole, and two salsas for our chips. Our drink orders were taken immediately after sitting the margaritas are very good and they have a good selection. We had an appetizer -shrimp al pesto - it was tasty and I loved it they burn the tips of the shrimp as they cook it on the grill. We both really enjoyed our food and could not finish, as the portions were very large. It was a good value about $10-$20/ plate of food. We saw the dessert tray, but didn't try any b/ecause we were stuffed. During dinner, there was a marachis playing (friday 7-9pm). It was very nice and we liked having the live music. We would definitely return.

My husband and I just returned from dinner at Casa Sanchez and it was delicioius. I have no idea where that other person ate who stated the food was not great, but it was not here. We were seated right away when we arrived. We were given tortilla chips, guacamole, and two salsas for our chips. Our drink orders were taken immediately after sitting. Our waiter was very attentive, but spoke very quietly and was a little difficult to hear, but very nice and accomodating. I had an appetizer - queso fundido - it was very rich and I liked it but couldn't eat a lot; definitely something to share. I ordered the steak fajitas and my husband ordered a chicken dish that was on special. We both really enjoyed our food and could not finish, as the portions were very large. It was a good value about $10-$20/ plate of food. We saw the dessert tray, but didn't try any b/ecause we were stuffed. During dinner, there was a latin jazz band playing (Mon-Wed 7-9pm). It was very nice and we liked having the live music. We would definitely return.

The more intimate mariachi band that plays during the week is great for a romantic mid-week night out without the kids. Food and entertainment are good always.

Visited on a Friday evening. Seated immediately (we had a reservation) and had great service from our waiter. The margaritas were really good. We ordered fish tacos, enchilada and the shrimp Azteca salad. The food was excellent, good serving size, freshly made. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. At one stage the owner came over to say hello and welcome us to their restaurant!

The band is talented for sure. Very well rehearsed show and worth seeing. The food ?......not so great. The menu is thin and everything is over priced. " ya gotta pay the band ", right ?...... but $8.00 for a desert is a bit much. I have had better Mexican food for a lot less. Go see the band but don't go counting on the food being great or having good service.

Near LAX - a real taste of Mexico's ambiance, music and dining without going over the border - worth a visit!

Seating: Excellent (we were walk-ins). Hostess: Cordial. Owner/Manager: Stopped by table. Waiter/Wait staff: efficient and attentive. Entertainment by the Mariachi Voces de Mexico con Ballet Folklorico: Outstanding. A performer came to the table and sang to our son for his birthday. (I should have asked if they had a CD.) Though the meal was of a quality that stands on its own, when the excellence of the performance is considered, the price of the meal was most reasonable. There are photographs on the Casa Sanchez website. Jim D.

Loud, terrible service like they are snooty and doing you a favor to serve you overpriced, under spiced tacos. Much better places to eat without valet parking!

Ok. Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor as am leaving out of LAX in the morning. The food was fantastic. Had a seared ahi tuna with a mango sauce. The chips and salsa / pico de gayo was amazing. They even had a mariachi band. But that was the problem. The music was ear splitting loud and they never took a break. Couldn't even hear the waiter it was so loud. Bottom line - worth the food, but bring earplugs Thursday thru Sunday if the band is playing.

This is a great restaurant. The food and service are excellent. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. Try one of the steaks, truly outstanding. The live shows are really great. We love taking out of town guests here to get a bit of the great Mexican culture that is such a big part of LA.

The food was not good. The waiter know I did not like my dinner since I had only take two bits out of the pepper. Never asked if I like my food, just took the plate away. The had a private area in restaurants but they put a big party of 30 in the middle of the restaurant. Every one else that was eating around them could not have a conversation.

Divine and great atmosphere and service. Highly recommended. Everything is so delicious. Absolutely wonderful place and one of the best Mexican restaurants in LA.

Great place for live mariachi music! Take a date here if youre serious about her/him. very romantico

Hands down the BEST mexican restaurant in the area. The mariachi and ballet folklorico is amazing! I highly recommend this venue for special occassions!

Been coming here for over 3 years and its always the best food, service and entertainment. Great place for everyone. I grew up in the area and was pleasantly surprised such an elegant restaurant was established. Hope it stays forever...

Took two different groups of 10 persons each this past month. One from church, the other from business. Every single one was pleased with the event (not just dinner). The food, the service, the best mariachi. Consistency is paramount for Mr. Sanchez and his daughter Irma. The staff headed by Roberto makes you feel at home the minute you walk into the well-appointed building. Even the valet parking is great. On the premises, you get to see where your car is parked! No charge, voluntary tip! Being from Mexico City, I know a bit about the cuisine - it is very good, probably the best in LA. The not so Mexican items like the rib eye steak and pork ribs are super. I have been going there for 5 years and have never, never been disappointed. Besides the genuine food, the outfits worn by the mariachi and dancers are authentic not local imitations. Visit this restaurant if you want to hear, taste and feel a part of the culture.

Must try the tampiqueña !!! Fantastic margaritas great service, the live mariachi just a wonderful night !!!

Went with family to celebrate my sons 18th bday. We had fun the music was great. Loved the food, especially the starter. The mains were too big to finish off. We would love to go back if we ever we visit LA again.

We celebrated Father's Day with my wife's family -- thirteen in all. Casa Sanchez has several seatings through the night, each spaced fairly far apart to ensure that folks can eat and stick around after the entertainment is over, and not feel like the bum's rush before the next seating. We knew that it was bad when the valet parking was backed up. We eventually found street parking. This happens, of course, because as one seating was arriving, the other was trying to leave. The parking area is small, so park on the street and be done with it. The service was a little slow. Again, we assume, the seating simultaneously of the entire restaurant makes preparing and serving all entrees for the entire restaurant problematic. As it was, we had challenges getting chips (seriously, chips?!?). Despite other reviews, the guacamole was average -- kind of watery, to be honest. We finally forced our order in just before the lights dimmed at 7:30 and the mariachi's began playing. After countless requests for chips. to be fair, when wait staff talked to us, they were pleasant and cordial. it just wasn't very frequent. The entrees were good, not great, average tasting, and certainly not the best Mexican food we'd ever eaten. I had the carne asada, which was flavorful, but ultimately, too tough, and not necessarily worth the trip. My cheese enchilada was stuffed full of cheese. Maybe a bit too much cheese. The mole enchilada was okay, but not spectacular. The chile relleno was tasty, but overall, not impressed by the food. Service -- kind of slow and not attentive. Hard to get more chips, more water, take our order. the mariachis were great -- passionate about what they do. The dancers were terrific. The singers were excellent. The whole "call and response" did not work -- the audience was politely attentive, but not enough to repeat verses or scream and shout. In summary, the entertainment was good but the rest of the restaurant (food, service) was found lacking

Very nice place with wonderful food and entertainment. The 10 piece band was outstanding, and very talented. Each musician plays well and sings beautifully too. Overall a wonderful experience. can't wait to go back next trip and try other menu items, as everything was quite good. Like another reviewer, I wish I had dressed better than jeans and a T shirt with jacket, but next time I will know to match the understated elegance of this excellent restaurant...business casual would have made me completely comfortable. Outstanding experience not to be missed.

Casa Sanchez has a nice ambiance. But for the fact that I was there for my dear friend's retirement celebration, the Mexican food is mediocre and the drink prices are very expensive. Attendees in the banquet room were directed to go downstairs for Happy Hour drink prices. That is ridiculous and Casa Sanchez should accommodate everyone in our party with Happy Hour drink prices.

Visited for the second time from Philadelphia. Food and entertainment were excellent. Prices were very reasonable.

Amazing variation of cultural food native to Mexico. I almost felt as if I was back in Mexico with the incredible mariachi performance, food, dancing and incredible waiters. The valet parking was very professional and courteous. This is a great place to make reservations for birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

If you are visiting LA, or have never been to Casa Sanchez you are missing an amazing evening. A beautiful restaurant, with perfectly cooked classics, fresh fish, and top shelf cocktails and tequila. The service is as good. If you are in town near LAX it is close and an amazing option.

There is no cost for the show/ mariachi performance! Reservations are very important here! Request dining room seating if you want to see & hear the show. The patio seating area is beautiful & they will open the doors so you can hear really well. Now to the food ... Delicious! I had carne asada & an enchilada plate for $17. There are other items that are more. So it's very reasonable for the quality of the food, elegance of the decor, and the show. It is not designed to be a rushed dinner restaurant. Enjoy the chips, guacamole & salsas for free. Savor the food & the atmosphere here! Valet Parking is tip only which is unusual for LA. So come a few minutes early to allow time to have it parked because street parking is nearly impossible here. The valets work quickly & efficiently to take care of everyone.

Pros: beautiful old world dining room, some of the food, service, entertainment Cons: pricing vs online menu, some food items This is a very pretty place and the owner even comes to the table to introduce himself and to offer a warm welcome. Service is very good at all times. I had checked their website in advance to familiarize myself with menu items and prices (prices a bit high for Mexican, but they seem capable of offering upscale offerings). I noticed the Happy Hour was from 5-7PM and was looking forward to taking advantage of the cocktail prices at 6:30 on a Friday evening; however, when we were seated and I asked about that, the waiter simply said “no, there is no Happy Hour”. When I later checked again online, I found in very small print that the Happy Hour is in the “Bar/Patio” only – at least the waiter could have mentioned that. So on to the meal. There were 3 of us and we ordered Chile Poblano (their website price $25, actual price $28), Salmon al Tequila (pricing same online and on site) and Chamorro de Puerco (their website price $28, actual price $30). They need to keep on top of their online web site and to talk about the Happy Hour in larger font. The price differences were not much, but the impression created is one of negative truth in advertising. The Chile Poblano was fine, not outstanding. Same for the Salmon al Tequila (a bit dry). The Chamorro de Puerco will bring us back to the restaurant to try other items since the fig/walnut sauce was superb, indicating high kitchen potential; however, the pork shank was dry, as was the accompanying spinach. We shared a piece of Cranberry Peach Cake and it was not fresh. Toward the end of dinner there was a mariachi show with about 12 or so musicians, dancers. The ensemble was a cut above any mariachi group I’ve seen, and we really enjoyed their playing and dancing. All in all, an interesting place with good potential. We’ll return to try some of their other offerings in an effort to give a better rating.

A gem, a hidden treasure. With elevated food and a supreme Merriachi show. The Lamb Cops and Stuffed Pork Cops with a wine reduction sauce were delicious. The staff was spot on. Always a great night out! Not to be missed.

My wife and I were born and raised in this part of LA but we were totally unaware of this restaurant. Probably because it's only been there six years and we have lived in Ventura Co. for 36 years. We were taken there by friends and we're glad we made the trip. The food was excellent but what really made the evening great was the entertainment. The mariachi group was the finest we have ever experienced. Their show lasted what seemed like an hour and a half. We were very impressed. The service was unrateable because it was so good. They have an army of waiters. We wanted or waited for nothing. They were right there all the time. Why the owner decided to build the restaurant in this part of LA escapes me. Closer to the Marina or Santa Monica seems fitting. Still, the restaurant was packed. Testament to it's food and entertainment. For travellers visiting LA, it is a very short drive from LAX. If you would like a taste of what we gringos sometimes imagine Mexico to be, in all it's gaiety and great food, I heartily recommend this restaurant. That's saying something because I don't especially like Los Angeles. My final recommendation would be to sit in the main room if you want to really experience the music. If not, the patio area was spacious and nicely appointed. Make reservations.

My wife and I dined here for our Mexican son-in-law's birthday. The place was packed, and there were several other birthdays that night. The Mariachis were the best I've seen anywhere -- they danced as well as sang. My lamb chops were delicious, with pink mashed potatoes. I was awarded a free margarita because service was a tad slow. Terimasu made a great dessert. My wife had breaded shrimp, a taste of which eventually gave me diarrhea. All in all, it was a very pleasant evening.

This place is the very best of the best. I don't consider Mexican to be in the gourmet category, but Casa Sanchez comes as close to gourmet as I have ever experienced. The food was fantastic for Mexican food/ Southwest cuisine. The entertainment was excellent and made the whole experience fantastic. They have a show that's just plain fun to watch. The Margaritas are really, really, good. The whole experience was just fabulous. We have returned several times and never disappointed. I very highly recommend Casa Sanchez, you'll love it!

my family went for a 6pm reservation on a Saturday night. the place was packed with people waiting for the 645pm mariachi band show. the service was prompt and incredibly friendly. the mango margarita tasted great but for $10 i would like to have a little more alcohol in it. the chips for the salsa were fresh but needed a bit more salt. the mole enchiladas were really tasty. the highlight was the mariachi band in those amazing outfits. they had great voices, stage presence and sound. it was a blast!

Fun Mexican restaurant with a mariachi show Thursday through Sunday evenings. Came here for a friend’s birthday on Saturday evening and the reservation was set for 5:30pm. There’s $3 valet parking available or you can try your luck with street parking. The restaurant seemed primarily geared towards big groups and there were plenty of long tables celebrating special events. Indoor and an outdoor smoking patio were available. Credit cards accepted. Gendered restrooms available at the front by the hostess stand. They give you complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered some guacamoles for the table as well. I got the shrimp Azteca salad, which came with 8 pieces of grilled shrimp. The salad was well-dressed and I had some leftover for lunch the next day. They do offer cake cutting. The mariachi show was really fun and lasted for about an hour and a half.

I've been here several times for different occasions, birthday, going away party, and just drinks and appetizers in the bar. Food has been great every time, love the Sangria, and service has been great ( of course if going on Fri / Sat nite, especially busy) but isn't it everywhere. Plan a visit when the Mariachis play, excellent!

The food is delicious, the music is great, I love the set up of the tables. They make a big deal about celebrations. Easy to get a table, quick valet parking. This place is fantastic.

The atmosphere and the food were an unexpected treat. We went for happy hour and the nibbles we ate were all delicious. I also ordered the chicken mole enchiladas from the regular menu, which were delightful. At around 7pm, the mariachi band came out to perform. They sang and played quite well. All in all, an enjoyable evening. I will definitely go back.

Came in based on reviews over multiple sites - because they were - for the most part - glowing - I was a concerned my expectations would be too high. Not to worry! Based on the recommendations of other reviews, I had Mole. I was not disappointed. servings were very generous -- and even though I was dining alone, they provided a full bowl of guacamole with the chips. On top of the great food, the staff was also outstanding. Several checked on me to ensure my dining experience was going well - without being obtrusive. This with my dining being late in the evening (8:45 PM) was a pleasant surprise being late dining can sometimes be accompanied by tired, annoyed, etc staff. One thing to be aware of - they have live music playing in the dining room. I really enjoyed it, but if you are looking for quiet - depending on when the band is playing - it might be bit loud for some. Once again: for me it added to the ambiance.

Whoa, number #5?? I don't think so..... Something is wrong with the rating system if this place is #5 in Los angeles, yikes! Loud and noisy, expensive for really mediocre Mexican food, snooty waiters, etc. Would never go back since there are so many less arrogant places with much better food and value. Sorry.

Selected Casa Sanchez based largely on TA reviews which were confirmed by our hotel front desk. Not disappointed. A margarita for every taste. Terrific Mole. And the mariachis are very good - great entertainment.

We had the most unbelievable time at Casa Sanchez! we knew that they had Mariachis on Thurs-Sunday nights so we made a reservation for a Friday night at 6:45. The restaurant is gorgeous! You can sit at a small table with your party of 2-4 or you can bring a crown and they will seat you all together at long tables. There is a stunning outdoor patio area too. Can't see the mariachi show from there but can hear the music. Started with the best margaritas and sangria we've tasted..... great caesar salad and then the entrees! Each one delicious! Then...... Voices de Mexico performed at 7:30. We did not expect a full hour on stage performance. Oh my goodness! They are unbelievably talented! We couldn't stop smiling the whole time cuz the music just puts you in the best mood! We looked at each other and said "this has been going on every weekend and we didn't know about it?" What a great party!

We found this place late on a Saturday night. We were hungry and they recommend it. The food was divine. The best Mexican food I ever tried. The drinks were estrog but full of flavor and the food, again, was amazing. They had a mariachi band of 10 playing for the guest and it was marvelous. This is place is a must go if you are looking for the real Mexican food and ambiance.

We checked tripadvisor for restaurants close to our accomodation and went to casa sanchez. the staff is nice and caring, the restaurant manager comes to greet you and even the owner stopped by to ask if we liked everything. food and cocktails are delicious and the prices are moderate. moreover you get some entertainment thanks to a mexican folklore band. it is defenetly worth a visit.

This was a hit on our second attempt to have dinner there. Food choices wide, quality good....The guacamole is terrific! Had salmon and shrimp with tequila sauce, rice and veggies. Steak fajitas choice of other dinner- grand! The Mariachi band was amazing as they played tunes from Frank Sinatra to lively current songs. They made a special attempt to personalize diner's birthdays, etc. Band members serenaded and took photos with guests.

I have celebrated a couple of my birthdays here as well as birthdays of other family members. The mariachi is fantastic and the food is even better. My favorite dish is the Pollo Tapatio and my favorite drink is of course La Guapa. Both of these are highly recommended. It can seem a little pricey, but well worth it. Always make a reservation before coming, and be sure to invite people who won't cancel last minute because they do charge a "no show" fee. Absolutely my favorite restaurant.

Casa Sanchez is a great place to have some fun if you like mariachis..... Great ambiance, although the food is not the best Mexican food around.. The manager or host is very nice and will accommodate your needs. We had a lot of fun listening to mariachi music..

This place feels like home for me, I love the setting, the food, the drinks and the music. I have had a lovely time at Casa Sanchez with friends and family, my Daughter's 30th Birthday in 2011 and now we will celebrating my Son wedding in January of 2013. Love the place and the people at Casa Sanchez.

Great Happy Hour.......Mariachis........lovely Patio setting.........pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, service & quality of the happy hour food. (5:00 - 7:00) The tacos were great!!! Complementary chips & salsa. Music @ 7:30. And check out the artwork thru out the restaurant & on the ceiling of the entrance by a local artist.

Great atmosphere, great food, great margaritas, great service, great mariachi! A little off the beaten track, but definitely quite a gem in this town full of mediocre mexican restaurants. The chicken mole was great, but a little heavy on the mole. The shrimp starter was amazing.

Food mediocre, noise level outrageous, valet parking for really no reason except to make you feel like an important restaurant snob, service is like they are doing you a favor, prices rather high for what you get, etc. At one time this was place was rated #5 in Los Angeles! OMG. Yikes, unbelievable to everyone I know who has ever eaten there, especially when at a party event. IMHO, someone must have been paid-off to be rated like that. Much much better Mexican restaurants on the west side. I live close by but am sorry to not be able to rate this place higher than 2 stars.

Coming into LA the night before an early flight, I made a random stop at Casa Sanchez. I sit in the bar area. The Salsa with chips had a little Smokey flavor with bits of garlic- delicious. The standard Mexican fare seemed to stop there. They had a wide variety of fish and meat options in styles I was not expecting. I ordered a pork dish but for some reason they did not have it that night. So based on the waiters suggestion I tried the ribeye. It was very good- not the best steak ever but tasty and tender. However, the chipotle potatoes were uninspiring though. The mariachi band started at 7:30 and were incredible. A 9 piece ensemble with great talent and some dancing. Hands down the best mariachi I have ever seen. Very enjoyable. Entrees could be pricey at ~$30. I will go back and try more

This was the first Mexican resturant I had been too and It exceeded all my expectations. I could not fact fault any dish we had it was Devine. Beautiful cocktails and the best service. The resturant is beautiful inside and very clean. I would recommend this resturant to everyone.

Beautiful decor and ambiance! The mariachi band was amazing and so much fun! They are really great musicians. Yummy food and the nicest staff ever!! You won't be disappointed.

We are regular visitors to LA during the summertime. While staying in the Marina del Rey area, we visited the Casa Sanchez on suggestion from neighbours. We really loved the place, excellent food, fantastic Margeritas ( try the Pomgranade) and very good entertainment by the "House Quartett" Mariachi Band. A real pleasant and entertaining evening which the whole family enjoyed! We will surely visit again!

i had chicken mole which was like my grand mother in veracruz ,it coundnt get any better sorry i didnt take one to go.every thing was very tasty we share a little with everyone at the table ,i still can tast it .

Every time I've been here they've had live mariachi music from the stage in the dining area which adds the feel of old mexico. However, its usually so loud that you can't have a conversation with someone at your table except during pauses in the music, or if you feel like shouting the whole time. Food is very good and have enjoyed everything I've ordered.

I visited Casa Sanchez with three friends on the recommendation of a relative who lives locally. When we arrived the Mariachi band was playing and it was very loud. However, they stopped after about 10 minutes and we enjoyed our dinner and when they returned 45 minutes later we were ready to listen to the show. We each ordered different entrees and there were no complaints. I had the stuffed filet of sole, an odd choice at a Mexican restaurant, and it was excellent! Just the right amount of seasoning and a very fluffy cut of fish. We each had a Margarita, either frozen or on the rocks, and the drinks were perfect. The service was friendly and prompt which added to the homey atmosphere. There seemed to be a lot of locals at the restaurant which shows it is not a tourist trap. This is a great place for families or to socialize with friends.

We came here for dinner as big group of dancers on a special night out. What a fantastic restaurant with a great atmosphere, think Mexican style fine dining. The food was good & the service was good too. My favourite part was the entertainment that I believe is on here a couple of nights per week, a mariachi band & Mexican dancers...Just brilliant!

Recommended by a good friend, I decided to take my wife and test out this Mexican Restaurant. Having lived in Los Angeles since the age of two (more than 65 years), I have had many restaurants recommended as having the "best" Mexican Food. I will return to this restaurant again for the excellent food, the family atmosphere and the entertainment. My favorite Mexican Restaurant (El Cholo) is still my favorite, but this one is probably No. 2, a few more visits will let me know. Casa Sanchez is the first Mexican Restaurant I've dined at in Los Angeles during the last 40+ years that I would consider as being No. 2 after El Cholo. Because the atmospheres of the two restaurants are different, I will probably dine at both restaurants.

This place is really cool. Great food, good service and amazing entertainment....love the Mariachi band! I would definitely recommend this place.

Went here on a Sunday night with my husbands family to celebrate his mothers birthday. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with an elegant Mexican charm that pays homage to the past. The service was excellent throughout our time here from the valet to the host and especially our waiter. The mariachis have their own stage and sang wonderfully. The menu offered some traditional and modern selections. My husband had the arrachera that was served with Mexican rice and beans with Michelada and I had the filet minon that was served with spinach and chipotle mashed potatoes and both dishes were excellent. Would definitely recommend for date night or special occasion.

The restaurant has a lively atmosphere with good if stereotypical music. The service is excellent and the staff members are friendly and helpful. But the food is mediocre and overpriced. I am unlikely to return.

What a great experience! Casa Sanchez was so much fun. The food was pretty good but not the best I've had, but the mariachi music was very entertaining.

You come for the show, not the food so it's important to get a reservation on a day and time right before the type of show you want starts. We went for the Saturday show which had both the full band and dancing. Food is ok but really enjoyed the show! Tip- the food comes out very quickly and all at once so okan your order with that in mind.

Had a great dinner her with LA family. There was fabulous entertainment: a 10 piece Mariachi orchestra and a singer. We had fried calamari for appetizer. For entrees we had lamb, sole, salmon, and stuffed chicken. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed sangria and white wine. We had 2 children with us who had a great time too. We definitely will return. Reservations are a must!

I have no idea what this phenomenon on Trip Advisor of rating restaurants to these top position when they are just average is, but I sincerely hope it ends... This restaurant, while good, was really just average. If you like singing mariachis and overpriced mexican food head right over. Though I will say the staff was very kind, the restaurant was nice and clean, and the food was solid, altho overpriced, it just wasn't amazing, and definitely not amazing enough to be one of even the top 50 restaurants on TripAdvisor. Please TripAdvisor step it up.

We've had dinner at Casa Sanchez since the time it opened and have enjoyed all of our meals. We went last night on a whim and had another enjoyable evening. The food is outstanding. What I would call upscale Mexican so no tacos, enchiladas or burritos. I was hankering for some sort of carnitas but that's not on the menu either. I had, instead, conchinita pibil which fit the bill. My wife that a vegetarian stuffed portobello mushroom (perhaps, not specifically Mexican but it had the character of Mexican cuisine). All well prepared and presented and very tasty. Our highlight of the evening was the mariachi players. There's entertainment every evening and Wednesday features a four member band. They performed well and near the end of their program, the lead singer went into the audience to ask for requests. The only thing I could think of was Beseme mucho which they played and sang. There was a table of Latinos celebrating a birthday nearby the stage. After the mariachis finished my song, they conversed with the band and one of the seated patrons sang lead on a song. She had a beautiful voice and her friends accompanied her on every chorus. The band accompanied magnificently but stayed in the background. It was such a wonderful sound and made our evening special. Service is about the friendly. The manager always greets every customer. The waiters are experienced and well informed. They have a nice parking lot but it fills up quickly fills on the weekends.

the food and service are awesome! servers are fast & always have a great smile on their face. they make you feel so welcome...

A group from my church voted to have our annual feast at your great establishment! It was my first time (and it won't be my last!). I was impressed with the table settings, flowers and paintings. There was a stage and an outdoor eating area. Great!! Then came the food--oh my goodness! Delightful! Lamb chops, mashed potatos(seasoned well) and vegetables. Dessert consisted of flan-Yes!! After dinner the Mariachis sang to a very receptive audience. That will NOT be my last experience at your fine restaurant. Thanks for the experience! The service was excellet. Alejandro anticipated our needs and was at our beck and call in a flash.

The combination of a fine eight piece Mariachi Band, along with very good food, excellent service, nice decor and reasonable prices, made this restaurant a truly Great find! Next time me and my wife are in LA again, we will definitely return!

Maybe this wasn’t the place I enjoyed from the perspective of a ‘peaceful and quiet dinner’ outing, but that’s okay, because at the end of the day I was satisfied. The reason was not only the free chips and guac that were to die for and the finger licking good cheese dip, or the valet parking, or even the well-dressed waiters, but simply the apple pie order of the mood that was intended to be set! The place had a super fancy interior and a very eye-catching mariachi show! Though I found it to be a little pricy and not my type, the kind of service and perfection that I received compensated for all that!

We came to Casa Sanchez all the way from Seattle, WA. My daughters & I were on vacation for spring break. We loved the Mariachi, the food was great! And the restaurant was decorated super nice. Had a wonderful girls night out! I would love to visit Casa Sanchez again, maybe this time with my husband :)

Fantastic value with an authentic experience. You won't be disappointed with the food, service or entertainment. A great night for us locals celebrating a special event or for out of town folks. We will be back!

Stopped by for coffee and dessert ! Had live mariachi music ! Waiter was inattentive ! Very pushy ! End up ordering two taco meal ! Very pricey $25 meal ! I guess that's how they pay for the live music ! Might go back ? But had an enjoyable time ! They also have valet parking !

I went here on a Saturday night with a group of about 20. The ambiance was nice. The service was great and the food was fantastic. They had mariachi playing for one hour. Great band! Fun and energetic! We stayed longer and got to see the mariachi for the second time. The restaurant is open till midnight. They have free valet parking which is very convenient.

Wonderful and talented 10 piece mariachi band performs here! I was visiting from San Antonio and my friends wanted to take me to a real mexiacn restaurant, so they brought me here. Beautiful restaurant, nothing I was honestly expecting. I was even under dressed having come from Venice beach, but the hostess was really sweet and said it was ok! Lol Margaritas were delish, chips and guacamole were refilled all night for free!! As for the food omg, amazing! The Chamorro was amazing!!!! The meat just fell off the bone! Amazing mariachi band, delicious food, and great atmosphere!! I loved this place! I can't wait to come back on my next visit.

For starters, I’m Mexican and the food should be better than what I can make at home. We got there early and while some people parked their own car, I was not allowed to do that. Ugh. Oh well. It’s crowded, as they try to pack as many people as possible. It’s a relatively small main venue. The is also an out door area but you can’t see the performance from there. The seats are very comfortable. We got a nice place to see the mariachi from. They played a lot of American music. I’m here to see Mexican mariachi not to hear them play that stuff. They are good! The dancers did a great job dancing in such a tiny area. The food seem expensive but I figured that entertainment is included so that’s ok. Towards the end of the show I get sick and had to run to the restroom, which was an absolute pig pen. Heavens people get real! That’s not the restaurants issue but they need to get in there and clean up more often. Turns out most in my party got sick ☹️. The decor is nice. It took a while to get our cars back so prepare to wait. I won’t return.

It was my first Mexican resturant I attended in America and it exceeded all my expertations. The food come out fast and i could not fault one of the dishes. The service was expectional. The resturant was beautiful inside and easy close parking.

I was looking for a place to go for appetizers before a concert at the Forum. Casa Sanchez was recommended to me by a friend. I decided to give it a try. I turned out to be great! We had appetizers in the lounge area . The taquitos and queso fundido were excellent along with chips, salsa, and guacamole! Our waiter was great. we were never rushed and food came out very quickly! next time would like to sit in the patio area! I will be back!

The restaurant is easily accessible. The place is very spacious and you can't go wrong with the excellent music performances. The Mariachis are the best you can find. The food, although a bit pricey, is delicious and authentic (Mexican). Make sure you get a tasty Margarita, they are to die for.

What a amazing night! Had a huge group of 20 for a bday party, mixed crowd of young and old and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Food was good (I had chicken taco and cheese enchilada) and Cadillac margarita was great. Service is amazing and attentive. Filled water and drinks quickly, plate removed when done etc. The entertainment steals the show!! I was certainly impressed. Not too long so kids didn't get bored and not so loud that you don't hear yourself talk. Beautiful art work on the walls, really had a Mexican/old Hollywood feel. Super fun night!! Will come back w grandma 👍🏼

I planned a small surprise dinner for my boyfriend. One of my guest brought the cake before we got there and I told the staff please dont let him know other ppl would be there. So when we walked up to the table and he was surprised. This was my 2nd time at Casa Sanchez. the music was good but could be better and staff was great after we had to ask for someone to come serve us. I spend about $220 for 4 adults and 1 child, which is not bad but I think the food needs to be a lot better if am going to pay $25 a plate! But on the up side parking is free. Its a great place to take a special date, it's a lot more romantic than I remembered. But try at lease once!

Great service!! Great food!! Will be going back soon!! I live 6 blocks from this restaurant and wish I had visited sooner. Great place to take out of town guest if you want to show them good time.

We had dinner here and loved it. The perfect Mexican restaurant. Great food--love the salsa!!! The service was awesome. Order margaritas with Patron--they actually added a good amount to the drink! There was even music! The feature a live Mariachi Band! Great experience. Parking is valet, but we were able to park on the street.

I do not live far from Casa Sanchez and visit the restaurant about once every month or so. I love to celebrate my birthday there to hear the Mexican Birthday song, Las Mananitas. The place is very elegant. A first class Mexican restaurant. Although it may not have the best Mexican food in town it comes very close. I usually have the Chile Relleno (stuffed pepper) dish stuffed with a fish and some very delicious sauce. This dish is the best dish on the menu in my opinion and it out of this world. The entertainment was not all that great when I first started going to the restaurant years ago but now it has evolved into a world class Mariachi group. They have other entertainment during the week which is also excellent. What makes this restaurant so good is the entertainment, the ambiance, and the food in that order. They have valet parking at no charge but please tip the gentlemen. It is a great place to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries.

The food is overpriced and just typical. The Mariachi band is fun though. And if you want a free dessert make sure you call out when they ask if it's your birthday or anniversary. Oh but if you say it's your anniversary they'll want you to beso (kiss) and beso again. Cute.

If you like a vibrant place full of energy and joy, then this is the perfect place! For me, I love such locations and prefer them over other places to dine! I came here with on my mother’s birthday and to my surprise didn’t find much rush and was quickly guided to our table. The food, to start off with, was delicious! The serving size was remarkably filling and the taste was beyond amazing! The service, like the staff, was efficient, convenient and very helpful. Last, but not the least, the music that filtered through the air like heavenly breeze set the mood just to the perfect mode and made the experience more and more enjoyable!

My daughter and I were recently in LA and by chance decided on this restaurant for dinner due to its proximity to our hotel. We were very pleased with dinner, the service and entertainment. It's a beautiful setting and the patio was especially nice. Both of us highly recommend Casa Sanchez for a wonderful night out.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Casa Sanchez. Great Mariachi band that can sing in 4 languages (Spanish, English, French and Italian). Beautiful, warm, and inviting atmosphere. The cocktails are awesome and will quench your thirst or leave you wanting more - especially the Millionaire Margarita. The food is absolutely divine and plentiful. Try the Camarones Costa Azul, the Chamorro De Puerco and the Codorniz Marsala, all recommended by our wonderful server, Guadalupe, who not only met my expectations, but exceeded them with his fantastic service and attention to detail. He anticipated my every want and need with ease and grace all while having a smile on his face. The manager, Roberto, walks around the restaurant checking on all of his guests and making sure that they are having a wonderful time. The owner, Mr. Sanchez also greets his guests and makes sure that they have a wonderful time and experience. You will not be disappointed at all.

Honestly, I was not envsioning a great restaurant when I first arrived at the restaurant. But once one enters the doors, you are transported to another place! Dark furniture and typically Mexican decor abounds. There is an outdoor patio which we did not venture out as it was a bit chilly that evening. The food is plentiful and very good. That evening we were entertained by the Voces De Mexico Mariachis which is a show to enjoy. The stage area is a bit small, but their singing and enthusiasm brought the crowd down-and how loud it was! Service is attentive.

We went to have a mexican mariachi show experience. We got that and more. The place is popular with local families celebrating birthdays etc as well as local groups of friends and couples who come to enjoy the food probably more than the show. We found it interesting how many didn't even worry about the show but came ate and then left! We loved the food, it was fresh and good size meals. The show was good too for an introduction to the rich quality of mexican mariachi music. Roberto the manager is personable and friendly. If you want a neighbourhood quality mexican experience which I think is a must in LA then visit Casa Sanchez for a great night out.

Food here is very good and the service is just perfect. Its a rather large restaurant inside, but that is to accommodate a big stage with a live mariachi band. Being inside feels very authentic. Family friendly and a great place for large groups. Can't go wrong... head here for a great night out.

It is typical Los Angeles type and slightly over priced. We saw reviews from many websites and found this one for our breakfast and dinner. We were not disappointed, but it was truly rewarding to eat out there. The delivery time was so quick and almost all cuisines were available on request. The hotel staff was polite and courteous to my kids and me. The cheese dip was nice. The parking was a problem, but I managed to get there with all my strength. I would certainly come back again to this restaurant. Not to mention, the ambience was also neat.

We arrived on time to have a drink and an appetizer for happy hour and margaritas were perfect! We followed the evening moving to the main dining area where the mariachi was playing and had a few more drinks and food. Our dinner was delicious. I love their chips and salsa! To add to the celebration our waiter brought out dessert (on the house) for the happy couple!!!

We ate here on a Sunday night and all four of us loved it! The mariachi band was great, the food was excellent and the service was some of the best I’ve ever had. We will absolutely be coming back next time we’re in LA.

They have fun mariachi music shows most nights which are very entertaining and include folkloric dancers. The decor is very stylish and culturally rich with beautiful oil paintings of Mexican heroes. This is a great place for a special occasion like a birthday because they announce the birthday guest, serenade you and give you a dessert with a candle to blow out. The food is good with generous portions. My favorite is the chicken mole (spicy chocolate sauce). The fish is good too. I take all of my out of town guests here and they love it too. You can book a reservation on open table.

Very attentive staff, great live mariachi band, good selection of mexican beers and tequilas. Clean and nice decor. The food does not live up to the quality of their overall service, needs some pizazz added to it...

Casa Sanchez offers truly excellent Mexican food. We have eaten here a couple of times, most recently at dinner where the 4 in our party enjoyed superb enchiladas and chicken with mole poblano and grilled salmon with shrimp - all deliciously prepared. Service is very attentive, friendly and professional. Casa Sanchez has a large, elegantly decorated dining room, as well as a lovely patio. There is live traditional Mexican music on weeknights and a complete show on weekends. It can be quite loud when the dining room Is crowded and with the show, but between the great food and entertainment, it makes for a memorable occasion. We attended the show once and very much enjoyed it. This time, we had dinner on a Tuesday, and there were not a lot of patrons, so it was quite pleasant, and we enjoyed the live music after dinner. Prices are pretty high, with entrees running $20-30 on average, plus the cost of drinks, etc., but well worth the splurge. We spent $150 (not including tip) for 4 people, including a couple of alcoholic drinks and two desserts. The bottom line: be sure to eat here at least once in your life, or more... Choose a weekday Mon-Wed if you want a quieter atmosphere and some very nice music starting at 7 pm. Choose Thu-Sun if you do not mind a crowd and want to see a complete show. Be sure to reserve ahead of time for show nights.

I read good things about this place. We had planned to visit a different Mexican restaurant that I visit often near Casa Sanchez. However, the line for a table at the other restaurant was too long (because their food is excellent). Instead of waiting in the long line, we decided to try this place. What a shock. What a disappointment. The prices for similar NAMED food dishes were more than twice the price of the restaurant where I had planned to go and visit often. The quality of the food was very low. Even the salsa contained far too much hot sauce for it to be enjoyable. I doubt that I will return. I certainly will not recommend this place to anyone except an enemy. Fortunately, I don't have any enemies, therefore, this place will never be recommended by me.

This would make the perfect place to take out-of-town guests to experience a wonderful 10-piece mariachi band plus dancers, except for one minor detail: the food is absolutely abysmal. Some of the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. What a shame!

Huge place, well decorated. Caters well for large groups. The staff were lovely. Didnt rush us but were available all the time. Senior staff checked with us a couple of times, ready to sort out any problems. Wait staff were always available and the pace of service was excellent. I love it when the crew working a place all sound as if they want to be there and are happy to do a good job - and dont have to fake it. The food was excellent. I loved how they used a heated metal frame for the tacos to make sure they stayed hot. Mole was very good. No doubt this is a dinner club type atmosphere with live music being a focus. The band we heard was very good. The stage is well lit and clearly visible from most of the tables in the main room. The website says Mariachi music but you have to think about that term in the broadest sense. The music was at times subtle and melodic and always felt fitting. They dont do lunch or late nights.

We dined at this great restaurant to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The decor was elegant and the mariachi band REALLY good. The service was efficent and very polite. And oh the variety of Margaritas. I had a Kiwi margarita...quite good and others had a cucumber margarita and millionaire margarita..yum! The birthday singing was very lively and personal. Great place.

I picked this restaurant based upon reviews I read and I was very pleased, Because I was dining solo I chose to sit at a hightop at the bar overlooking the dining room. The dining room is a big, warmly decorated room with a beamed ceiling and a stage at one end for the mariachi band. A not-annoying mariachi band at that! I started with the salad with mixed greens, jicama, tomatoes, beets and a wonderful vinagarette. My entree was the Mole Poblano which was a chicken breast (falling off the bone) topped with a mole sauce served with rice and refried beans (VERY bland and a little cold - maybe go with the black beans). It also came with homemade flour tortillas. As noted in other reviews, you are served chips, salsa and a delicious guacamole upon sitting down. The service was prompt (it got a little slower as the restaurant filled up) and valet parking is complimentary.

Casa Sanchez is a one of a kind experience. The food, entertainment and service is top notch. The Mariachi Band learned Hava Nagila on their break! Be sure to order the guacamole, chicken and steak fajitas, and the Sanchez Platter to share. Oh yes...Skinny Margaritas!

I've been to Casa Sanchez several times. Each time they deliver beyond expectations. Service is great and you'll not be disappointed with the food. Great Mexican food. The Mariachi show is the icing on the cake. If you're thinking about dinner here, then make sure you catch the live show. Its really worthwhile. Lunch is good also. Much quieter. The garden area out the back is one of the best I've seen in LA. Its fantastic. Thinking Mexican? Go the Casa Sanchez. Now.

We've lived in LA for over 18 years and just discovered this Mexican Gem! As far as Mexican ambiance goes, nothing else compares. The dining room is tastefully decorated and clean. The service---from the Host to every person attending our table---which included a nice chat with the Manager is outstanding. The food---starting with FREE chips, guacamole & salsa is great. And the entertainment, we were there for the Mariachi Band and it was truly top notch entertainment and completely enjoyable. Truly a diamond! We can't wait to return!

My boyfriend and i saw this restaurant and decided to check it out expecting just a normal Mexican restaurant. (It was my birthday) we went in and got lucky to get a table! The food was amazing! He had the steak and said it was the best steak he's ever had! Our waiter was very attentive! We had no idea there was a show! The waiter over heard my boyfriend saying happy birthday to me and went ahead and put me on a list. They brought me put a flan and had the mariachi sing happy birthday! We went in expecting just a quick regular bday dinner but left with an amazing expieriance! Something ill remember for a long time!

We were surprised with the quality of vegetarian food offered. Usually it is a struggle but they were accommodating and everything served was tasty. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The live music although fun was very loud so we had to shift the tables to save our ear drums. Also parking is valet only which we felt was unnecessary.

We happened into Casa Sanchez on our first night in CA. What a beautiful, exceptionally clean restaurant! We mentioned to our waiter that we were from the East Coast, he was extremely attentive and very friendly, but not at all intrusive. The food was delicious, salmon dish and chicken dish. Upscale Mexican, not your typical burrito and taco selection. The pomegranate margarita was delicious! We were even given a complimentary dessert! We enjoyed it so much we returned 2 days later for happy hour - wonderful chips and salsa with guacamole, $4 margaritas, appetizer specials. We had a lovely chat with the manager, unfortunately our friendly waiter Augustin was off for the evening. We were made to feel like family and royalty all at the same time. Definitely worth trying, again and again!!!!

I've grown to love trip advisor - BUT - there is NO WAY this restaurant could be top rated.. It is an old, hokey place with Mariachi singers - you could make believe you're in Acapulco - well, not really, since there's no view and no cliff divers diving off those cliffs (in Acapulco). Nonetheless, if you want hokey and Mariachis, then this is the place for you. The food is SOOoooo mediocre and not exactly Mexican. I mean you can get a big, old steak and it's not too expensive but WHY, why, why? There are so many better places to go in LA if you just want good Mexican food.

This place is great. Authentic Mexican with the added treat of a live band. The placebos good for couples or business. The drinks are real good as well. We had the sampler for appetizing, fajitas, and mole chicken. All were amazing

If you have people coming in from out of town, or need a place to go on first date that will really impress this is the place. This place is above average mexican food but you're not there for the food. You're there for 15 piece band singing classics while you eat. It is a raucous and so much fun. Make reservations, and make sure you arrive before the show starts. They do at least 2 a night but you don't want to arrive at the end of the show and get caught in a lull. The food is above average Mexican, great drinks. It is a bit expensive but you're also paying for a show and it's worth every penny. The more crowded it is, the more fun it is. Great Margs. This is not a quiet romantic place. Come ready to party, or sing along to some classics.

When have been on a search to replace (TiaJuana's) for the past couple of years. We found it and more! Let me be clear tho - Casa Sanchez is not a fab dive (I mean that lovingly) Casa Sanchez is a very nice, restaurant with high quality food, interesting menu, great drink selection. Try the pomegranate marguerita - I'm not a flavored marg fan but this was delicious. The homemade guacamole, salsa etc is really terrific. Our entrees were all delicious as well. There is entertainment all week but the weekend performers are outstanding. By the way, the prices are very reasonable. All around - our new favorite place to go.

Very Frendly Restaurant,Great Food & Service & Terrific Entertainment..

Music was okay. Not worth the price. You are not treated as a guest. Rushed and could not have a conversation with my party because of the constant need to sell drinks and rush you through dinner. I swear they would take your plate if they could mid bite. Only one friendly face who had to be. The waitstaff overbearing and just want to get you in and out. Not reflective of true Mexican culture. Valet was a joke. took car to move 10 feet and them we had to get it. So they are charging you a mandatory valet to keep your keys. Food was wayyyyyy overpriced and drinks watered down. No flavor . Just an assembly line and tourist trap.

I didn't expect such an experience. I went there during a trip in the US and I followed the recommendations of TripAdvisor and what a surprise it was! Don't get there if you want to have a quiet dinner but go there for the show, the mariachi were incredible a des the whole atmosphere is great. The food was also very good and the service was super nice. Very fun evening.

I turned 25 today!!! Yay!!!! And guess what ? This evening at Casa Sanchez me and my husband will never forget. Music was amazing! And they sang a birthday song naming everyone who was there and was having their birthday! I will definitely recommend this place for a pleasant evening or special event <3

We came here to celebrate my mothers birthday. So you are aware doors open at 450ish and parking is only valet. Park your own car if the attendant is eating and leave him the keys. Tips optional. You can park alongside the busy street at your own risk, but arrive super early as those few parking sites get taken quickly. As for the setting of the restaurant. Its ok, not great. You place your order and its by reservations for the show, they already know how many people will be coming to the dine. With that being said, it caught my attention that everyones food came out at the same time. Like if your at Medieval Times. The meats were tough, dry and cold. The enchiladas were like from a can as the beans. The prices are ridiculous expensive for the food. I guess it makes up to pay for the fantastic mariachi. The food was really poor as it appears that the kitchen pre cooks everything and just heats it up prior to serving. I would never go back nor would reccomend this location as a place to eat. Not worth the $$$. If your looking for authentic mexican food, this is not the place.

Running way late after a move out, eight of us showed up a bit anxious about a wait staff and kitchen crew that might want to head home soon...not a problem. Friendly, attentive staff, excellent prepared and presented food and drinks, lots of joking and laughs with the staff, and left a big thank you gratuity for the excellent meal and service. Thanks, Casa Sanchez. Food was excellent on all plates; staff is outstanding. We'll be back next trip to LA.
Good Mexican food, and great entertainment
The food is good and the service is very good but the real reason to come here is for the great entertainment. The mariachi music is the best I have heard in Los Angeles. Good for out of town guests who would enjoy hearing part off our culture which is often unavailable or only available in mediocre form.
