Good food!

By Grace L. |

We've been here a few years back when it was under a different management. We attended a Holloween party. This time, we came for dinner to celebrate my friend's birthday. The restaurant is huge. The ambiance is great. It gets noisy as it gets late. The service was quite slow, despite them having quite a number of staff standing around. However, the food was delicious. The parking is valet, which is advisable because it's quite difficult to find a parking spot. Overall, it was a good experience.

Great food but noisy indoor seating

By DeborahandAndy |

Beautiful setting with good service and great food. Noisy dining room difficult to have a conversation or hear the wait person. Will try the lovely patio seating next visit.

I loved the place when it was named Villa, but right now the food is not good enough for the price

Despite the very beautiful environment and the polite behavior of the restaurant staff, I have to give this restaurant a bad rating, because it does not follow the simplest rule of nutrition in food serving . Meals should include carbohydrates, proteins, and vegetables. The meal I ordered yesterday consisted of steak and fries without any vegetables. And when my mother ordered fish, there was only one piece of fish and a small amount of salad on the plate, no carbs. When I asked for bread, I was told that I would be charged three dollars for the bread. And the bread that was brought was three very thin slices and so dry that it could not be eaten.

Casalena is wonderful for any and every meal whether it’s a cozy brunch, elegant dinner, or celebratory gathering. This neighborhood gem is a warm and inviting culinary haven, offering delicious dishes, stylish ambiance, and attentive service that makes every visit feel special. When you enter the premise, you are welcomed and invited in such a warm manner.

Beautiful restaurant. Service incredibly slow.

By Angela W |

This is a visually beautiful restaurant with an interesting menu. The service, however, was very slow mainly because there was a major shortage of wait staff. The food was very tasty but the pasta dishes were barely warm when they were delivered to the table and both the french fries and chicken in the chicken sandwich option were cold. We should have sent them back for a replacement but we had waited so long that we didn't have time to do that.

10/10 for a night out with hofriends

This restaurant made me feel like I was transported to Europe. The food was so fresh and the ambiance was sexy , you could tell that good looking people go there. I’d go here again mostly for the fish and pasta dishes

Best in the Valley

This place is a dream! I don’t write reviews often, but we had an excellent experience here. The food was incredible, the ambience is *chefs kiss* and the service was also fantastic. Hands down, my new favorite place in the valley!!

Not the best dinner eperience

By Walter W |

Caselena is reported to be the property owner's reconstruction following COVID. It is bright, cheery, and has a modern bar. The problem is the noise level. The decibel level is quite extreme making it virtually impossible to converse at the table. The main room requires noise abatement baffles. Our visit was met with various issues. We requested main room seating but offered the outside area which had water remaining on the stairs from the recent rains. After partially drying our clothes we were moved inside. The meal was so-so and priced at we felt was a premium. We ordered two glasses of wine as their wine bottle pricing list was totally outrageous. With the noise level in particular we will not return.

Was not impressed at all

I got stomach ache when I got home and the worse thing was when we got our car from the valet, smelled like someone had smoked in it. Just terrible

Nice place, but noisy. Food: C+

By Oleg T |

Casalena was revommended to us as a trendy place. Apparently it is: it was packed on s Saturday night. Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. Casalena is a nice clean place but it is extremely noisy. I guess due to the design and abundance of hard surfaces that reflect noise. Service was very good, 4 stars here but the food was dissapointing. Neither appetizers or main dish were enjoyable. Apple tart was very good. Latte was on a level. I tried to order 2 non-alcoholic drinks: neither one of them were available.

Love this spot! Especially sitting in the garden. Food is fresh and delicious and ambiance is amazing. Get the corn agnolotti!

Perfect restaurant all around, specially for large parties.

Unbelievable food, service and atmosphere. We had tried other restaurant for reservation for 14 people. None of the restaurants could accommodate such a large party until we contacted Casalena restaurant. Not only they had space but they sat us on a round table so we all could talk to one another. An experience not be missed.

Good dining experience

By MelvinPusfinger |

Many of the reviews referred to this place as very noisy. There is some truth to this. Whatever the reason, acoustics are otherwise, voices carry in this particular establishment. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our time here. Our lunch consisted of the chicken Panino sandwich and the Casa poke bowl. Everything was tasty. Entrées will set you back approximately $25. The pita bread for three dollars is a pretty good appetizer option. Valet parking is available, but you can get free street parking within a block if you don’t mind a little walk. But watch the street signs because many of the streets nearby have restricted parking. Our waitress was courteous and attentive. The bathrooms are very clean. Overall, a positive dining experience. Good for business meetings if you do not mind a noisy background.

Someplace New!

The ambiance was superb, I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic! We all enjoyed our choices for the evening, I for one especially enjoyed the coconut crusted salmon.

Great New Valley spot!

By David K |

Gorgeous new restaurant on the site of the old Piachere. The rennovations are incredible. We sat inside which was great but the sound level is quite high. Next time it's the patio for me. The fool is great. We loved the branzino and the salmon entrees and we split a delicious chopped salad. Also the cocktail menu is extensive and creative. Will be back to explore more of the menu options soon.b

“Casalena Ventura Blvd – world-class food & cocktails, flawless service. Special thanks to Tyler Dow!”

By Holger Broeer |

I split my life between the US and Europe, and I’ve seen some of the best restaurants on both sides of the Atlantic. Casalena in Woodland Hills stands right up there with the very best. From the moment I stepped out of the car, I knew I was in the right place. Valet was smooth, the greeting warm, and within seconds I felt genuinely welcome. In my experience, that first impression sets the tone for the entire evening – and Casalena gets it exactly right. The atmosphere is stunning yet relaxed. Inside, the bar is vibrant and full of energy. Outside, the garden and patio are a beautiful escape, the kind of place where you lose track of time. Casalena manages to be elegant without ever feeling stiff or pretentious. The cocktails? Simply outstanding. Balanced, creative, and memorable – the kind of drinks that make you stop after the first sip and smile. The food? Even better. Every dish was fresh, thoughtful, and full of flavor. You don’t just eat here, you experience food at its finest. But the real secret of Casalena isn’t just the food or the design. It’s the people. The service was attentive, professional, and truly heartfelt. I never once felt rushed or overlooked – every detail was handled with care. One person deserves special recognition: Executive Restaurant Manager Tyler Dow. I had the chance to speak with him, and it was more than small talk. Tyler’s deep background in hospitality shows in every part of this restaurant. His passion, professionalism, and presence make all the difference. Casalena doesn’t just run well – it thrives because of leadership like his. Even the restrooms reflect this level of detail: stylish, spotless, and designed with care. That may sound small, but it proves that here, nothing is left to chance. For me, Casalena is not just a restaurant – it’s an experience. On Ventura Boulevard, in the heart of Los Angeles, you find a place that rivals the very best I know in Europe. I will return, and not just once.

Lovely ambiance with fantastic food and attentive service!!

Am all-around great restaurant for friends, family or a romantic meal! Lot's of seating choices both indoors and on the large covered patio with ample heaters available to keep the chill away! Food was fantastic and the service was also excellent. We had the Burrata and the Waygu meatballs as an appetizer and the New York Strip....what a great meal!

Food, Vibe, Service! This place has it all!!

This is one of the most incredible restaurants in LA!! There is so much attention to detail from the food, to the interior, outdoor seating, and service. The chicken parm was to die for. The steak was cooked perfectly and the au poivre sauce that accompanied it was the perfect accompaniment. We ordered a couple of pizzas and each one was so different but incredible in their own way. And we keep talking about how incredible the fried squash blossoms and penne alla vodka were! On top of the incredible food, there is not a bad table in the entire place. Both the indoor and outdoor dining experiences are incredible. In my opinion, its one of the most beautiful restaurants in LA! We could not speak more highly of the service, too. We really felt like we were being taken care of by the end of the meal and left so satisfied. We'll definitely be back. AND SOON!!

One of L. A. Best overall restaurants.

Incredible atmosphere and design, friendly staff and great food. Perfect for large parties 👍🎉. I will be having my next part there in their outdoor area.

Excellent dining experience

By Wanderluster90 |

Casalena is a true gem of the Valley. From the moment you step into the restaurant, the staff are warm and welcoming, the ambience is vibrant and inviting, and the decor is stylish and sophisticated. It was our first time dining here, we sat in the beautiful garden setting and our server Ashley couldn’t have been more wonderful in helping us choose the best dishes and accommodate all our dietary requirements. The drinks were excellent, the Mediterranean margarita was undoubtedly the stand out, and the food arrived promptly afterwards. Every single dish was exquisite, we were blown away. The spicy vodka pasta, sweet corn agnolotti, hamachi crudo, and the Chilean seabass were all cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour, while the desserts were the perfect ending to an excellent dining experience. If you’re looking for a buzzing spot and an elevated dining experience, Casalena will exceed your expectations and make you feel like family.
