I have never stayed in a truck stop hotel The Portlander Inn has it all. I don't even have a CDL just a field service Eng on a repair . From gas to craft beer this place has it all Marilyn the breakfast waitress at the Cascade grill was the best , The biggest breakfast cooked to order real eggs not the powered ones in the Comfort inn

We had the chance to check out the so called Classiest Truck Stop in Oregon. It was a nice place but nothing like we were expecting. We ordered to go and the food was freshly prepared and hot when we got it. The person that took the order was friendly and provided great customer service. We ordered the fried green beans as a side dish and the portion that was given was great compared to some other places. This was our first time here, we were curious after seeing a billboard labeling it.

Since renovations to the entire truck stop this place has gone downhill fast. New staff crappy attitude prices increased way too much. Almost 30% if not more. Truckers are not very welcomed here. But they cater to the junkie low lives and half witted tourist. Been sitting here over 20/minutes and have yet to be acknowledged. Save your time and money and go somewhere else who appreciates you and your service. These people sure as hell don’t. I’ve been coming here for years and am totally disgusted with the changes.

I've eaten here a few times in the last 20-30 years. There are few options for truckers in this area. The food is nothing special, and a little over-priced. Service on a recent stop was slow.

This restaurant is located in the upscale truckstop, Jubitz. My DH has wanted to bring me here ever since his first visit a few years ago, so we both went in with high expectations of a nice evening of great food. The restaurant itself is quite nice with its cabin theme, illuminated pictures of mountain vistas, and stone fireplace. Being salad lovers we first checked out the salad bar. Ugh, the spinach was badly wilted and some of the dressings and other mayonaisy salad items were in sore need of clean up. We ordered the fish and the salmon. Both were cooked well, but lacked seasoning, and the portion size for the salmon was downright tiny for the price we paid. We've ordered salmon all over this country so we know what to expect, both in taste and price. The sides were not up to par with the fish, let along the price paid. Our coffee was so old and stale that I felt embarrassed for the server who served it to us, being that this restaurant is located in a TRUCKSTOP, and the one thing that truckers are guaranteed to know is what FRESH coffee tastes like. I'm not sure if (like my DH believes) this place is just a shadow of it's former, glorious self, or it's attempting to attract a more expensive clientele, but regardless, it an attitude and/or a pricing adjustment. It's a shame, for truckers really, really need a place like this to call their own.

I DEBATED on the Prime Rib( I love Prime Rib, especially CASADE Grill's), but i am trying to lose someone weight. Sooo, I decide to try there new Cilantro Lime Rockfish, with veggies, & rice pilaf. I really enjoyed it, because I don't eat fish unless I catch it. I know that I will be having it again next time I do not want to eat heavy. Their Prime Rib is AWESOME!!! It was a hard decision to have the fish, but a good one . 393 calories . So come in & enjoy!!!!

Food was okay, service was okay, prices were NOT okay. Nothing to write home about, but acceptable. Salad bar was well stocked, sausage gravy was taste less..

This is a restaurant at the Jubitz truck stop. Second time we have been there. The service was pleasant and very fast. Comfortable seating, open and airy room, clean facilities. Breakfast was tasty, fabulous bacon. I'm not a trucker, but certainly appreciate the eating experience this restaurant offers.

In the lounge last nite and had the meatloaf. Large portion and tasty. Server was the bartender and she was very good. This morning had brekkie in the Grill. Had the chopped sirlion n eggs. Cooked perfect with bottomless coffee. Be back again.

Took my class here today for lunch based off their recommendation. All of us ordered a variety of different dishes. I ordered the hamburger and found it good. The fries were okay, but nothing great. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well, so this is a solid comfort food place that is not overly expensive.

We had the Chicken Pot Pie and the Spaghetti and Meatballs. They were good meals with plenty to eat. The service was good as well.

Come into the Ponderosa Lounge, next to the Cascade Grill.. Plenty on the tv's, & line dance class today also.. FOOD IS AWESOME!!! Stop in & ENJOY!!!

I've been coming here for a while now and today I ordered the veggie omelette I was surprised how lazy the cook is he made the eggs then put all cold raw veggies on it and shredded cheese on top. I was not impressed. Sent it back lost my appetite. Cook the veggies let flavours flow through the eggs and blend together as one make it enjoyable not like a frozen job from subway where a driver has to take to his truck and microwave it. I've had 3 bad meals here. 2 where due to the same waitress and this one cause of a lazy cook. Oh yes was only 3 people in restaurant not like it was busy.

the service was good . the food was verry average but with a good salade bar . the locatiion looksnew but isn,t verry cosy

I have to wait over the weekend for service on my truck here at Jubitz so I stopped in & had a Rueben & split pea soup. It’s the first time I have had restaurant corned beef come out just as tender as my wife makes at home. It was very good & they weren’t shy with the sauerkraut or dressing either. The split pea soup was good also, a different taste than I’m used to but still good non the less. I’ll be having dinner there today too.

The food is pretty decent with friendly service, kids friendly menu they have crayons and paper for the kiddos, price is pretty reasonable they have salad and soup bar, make sure to have a driver license with you if you decide order a bloody mary they will ask for ID, hot wings, hamburgers and salmon are my favorites. This place is not only for truckers.

Ordered a cascade burger. Expected a good burger, not what I got. Some sort of goopy, not Good mouthfeel patty-shaped thing is what i got. I didnt send it back cause i was hungry and didnt want spit on it. One of the wo rst burgers ever had!

Been eating at Jubitz for a decade now. Always good consistent comfort food. The chef salad and French dip are of note!

All this built up hype about jubitz this and jubitz that didn't pan out .the chopped steak breakfast was average nothing special.the coffee is below average

Great food and atmosphere and service in the lounge. The Ponderosa Burger was great, the music and line dancing was great

OoMmGgooodness!!! What s PARTY AT THE CASCADE GRILL.,& the ponderosa lounge at JUBITZ TRAVEL PLAZA!!!. This place was & Still is ROCKEN. THR Prime Rib, Jubitz's Nachos, Wings,BEEF STEW!! Steaks, Eggs, Chicken, HUNGRY? Stop by check them out. ENJOY!!!. DRIVE SAFELY!!!

My husband and I came in here on 10-28-14. We both ordered the 12 ounce rib eye steaks with potatoes and veggies for $18.00 each. The steaks were very good, it was before 11 am so the baked potatoes were actually boiled (ok but not great) the steamed broccoli was really good. The soft drinks are $2.50 each. We also ordered the NY style cheesecake with a marionberry topping for $5.50. The cheesecake was good but the marionberry was NOT. It taste like it had a bunch of cinnamon in it. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. They had amazing breakfast plates coming out of the kitchen. We would recommend this place and we will be back for breakfast soon.

AWESOME!!! MAC & Cheese!!!! The Cascade Grill cooks for the Ponderosa Lounge, either place you go you will be able to get MOE'S MAC & Cheese!!!. Personally I ENJOY EATING & HAVING FUN AT THE PONDEROSA (POND). STOP BY & ENJOY!!!! SAFE Travels ALWAYS!!!!

Denise was a pushy waitress. I understand turning tables for tips, but to ask if you are done with something and take it away before you have a chance to answer, then your tip just went away. Rebecca is a very "slow to return" waitress. We have sat for a long time waiting for our order to be taken, then to have our check brought to is later. Not to mention, she forgot a couple of food items on our order followed by, "oops, I'm sorry." That was it. The food was good, the service attentiveness needs some work. TIPS is an old accronym, To Insure Proper Service. I have always stood proud on my customer service and the tips I would take home. So should these waitresses to improve the overall guest exerience.

We stopped for a late dinner on a Sunday night. The fireside was inviting and the waitress greeted and seated us immediately. We ordered the Jubitz Dip Sandwhich with fries and a chicken Caesar salad. Both were excellent, service was outstanding, and the restaurant was clean and quiet. Our meal, including drinks, was under $30. Very nice for a quick stop!

Our family ate dinner here on our first night of vacation. We had nachos, fried chicken dinner, a burger and mac-n-cheese. Everything was very greasy (except for mac-n-cheese) and we thought is was expensive for what you got - average bar food. Our sever was awesome though. Salad bar is currently closed due to Covid protocols, which is a good thing but nice to know ahead of time.

The Grill is awesome! The price for the food is rather pricey, but overall, it is best to try the food. Please come in to experience the awesome taste!

Been traveling across this country for more than 27 yrs, and can’t tell you the last time I had a memorable meal at a truck stop. It seems like every other place has gone to subways and fast food: and the ones that still have a sit down restaurant, aren’t worth sitting down at: Until today.... There seem to be 2 eateries in one here: There’s the restaurant out front(Cascade Grill), and the bar area in the rear, known as Ponderosa Lounge and Grill. The menus are near identical, and from what I understand, they share the same kitchen as well. So, of course, on to the bar area for us. Oh, there’s also a deli located inside the main building of the truck stop. The bar, which has a cool layout, has been completely remodeled; from the bar area, all the way to the bathrooms. The style is rustic, but clean and maybe sort of modern. There’s even a vip section, with private reservable booths. And, there’s a huge big screen for all your sporting events. So the decor gets a 5..... Ordered the Prime Rib sandwich with onion rings on top; with a side of fries. Without a doubt, one of the tastiest sandwiches I’ve had from just about anywhere. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the fries were tasty, and piping hot. My brother had the soft pretzel and cheese dip; and an order of the fish n chips. He raved about how fresh it was as well. Crazy thing was, how fast all the food was served: Probably 15 mins at the most. Service at the bar was spot on. Our server met all our needs; and all with a smile. She was prompt and courteous, and never missed a step. We liked her from the start. Service gets a 5 as well... Overall: I’m not sure there’s a weak spot here: Great food, great service, served in a cool setting. And though the restaurants are sort of next door; and may not be considered an actual part of the truck stop, it’s location still serves the trucking clientele. Patrons are so Lucky to have a place this good, available this close. As stated, gone are the days of the historic mom n pop roadside eateries. But here, there’s a flashback of days gone by. If you get through Portland anytime soon, and want a good meal, put this place on your “want to try soon” list...

The Special of the day was stir fry (chicken teriyaki), I had all day to think about it, for I was staying for another night, because my truck was in the shop getting work done., must keep'er running sweetly. Anyway, I started to walk the 8 tents of a mile to get some exercise & go to the Thai food place near by. Walked 1/2 way & it was really warm so I walked back & said the heck with it, I'll give the Stir Fry a chance. I WAS REALLY SURPRISED!!!. Chicken was just right, veggies (bells, onion, shrooms), yep with rice, I was Surprised for sure. So STOP BY & ENJOY!! SAFE TRAVELS!!!!!

Stayed overnight here and figured why not ! It was close anyway. Our waitress Denise was super...the food was ok..atmosphere was nice and clean for a trucks top anyway ? Safe bet ! Nothing more..nothing less !

I had breakfast here and the staff treat you as family. The ham and cheese omlett was very good but the high octane coffee was better. I will be back in the future.

Food satisfactory but cold, watched it sit under the heat lamp for a full 5 min while my wife's plate was being prepared. Place was 1/2 full of customers. Dirty table. Waitress was not attentive, borderline rude. Manager was weird, which we've come to expect from him. This place had good food for a year or so but has gone back down hill.

So when you are a truck driver and have a weekend to wait in Portland it has been tradition to go to Jubitz. No longer! The first rule of truckstops is a restraunt. Jubitz has the Cascade grill. The food is mediocre at best and the service is the worst. Now if you think I am exaggerating I will elaborate. Last night we had dinner and neither the wife or I got a refill on our beverages. The dirty soup bowl and salad plate were left on our table the entire meal and the guacamole that was ordered on the side was all over the plate. We wound up paying cash because the waitress evaporated and we were thirsty and tired of waiting. Now I am someone who gives second chances. So we went back for breakfast. Mistake! We got coffee immediately but because we are not speedreaders we wanted more than 30 seconds to look at the menu, that she dropped on the table, she left and never returned. After waiting for over 25 minutes (while watching others get coffee, water and even juice refills) we left our empty coffee cups on the table and walked out. I am leaving Jubitz to spend the rest of my weekend at a truck stop where I hope to get better service. Or at least breakfast.

I have been a customer for almost 50 years now . Don't let the this place fool you because it's a truck stop your a equal no matter whom you are !! Come look at a classic truck that changes on occasion on loan from Brooks Power Land Museum parked inside of the building . You can even see a movie hear wonderful place keep up the great work

Great Veggie Omelet,Big-O mushrooms, Broccoli, Tomatoes, Onions,Bell Peppers ,With melted cheese.AWESOME!!! Wash down with a Beer if you want, or many different types of Beverages. Come in & ENJOY!!!!!

Very good food and the Rueben was good too. Salad bar was large and filled. One thing i found was they charged me for cherry syrup for my pepsi!

The food was tasty . But the portions were something from a seniors menu . Definitely not a truck stop any more . A 15 dollar meal without bread or veggies . What a joke . Pork lion dinner would cost you 20 dollars with bread and veggies . I can see why driver all have coolers and microwaves in their trucks now a days . We use to see the signs out in Wyoming Jubitz Truckstop 1250 miles ahead and couldn't wait to get to Portland . But now I would rather stop by McDonald's or Burger King for half the price . Sorry Cascade Grill you lost my business .

Loved this rustic place. The furniture is unlike any other. Very rustic restaurant setting with a big fireplace. Nice ambiance. The service is good and the food was delicious. The views are beautiful. We enjoyed the paté and the provo letta. The steak was perfectly cooked and the side vegetable were very good. The crime brûlée was a great finish to a beautiful dinner.

Eating in this restaurant was like having breakfast in a mountain lodge. The heavy timber beams and wood planking walls are amazing, however the way they display the mountains makes it appear you're right next to Mount Hood. The food was good, portions were huge, and the service was as good as it gets.

So we were in between soccer games and found this place on this site. All four of us ate on $26 because kids meals are free with paid adult. My daughter loved the meatball on her spaghetti. Heather was great to us as a server.

Enjoyed stopping in to eat here. Lovely ambience. And good food. Had the Cascade burger & the Hamburger Steak Salad. Very yummy fries! Would come back.

Not a wow, but good. Had French dip type sandwiches. A bit over priced but hot and good. And the fries were burn your hands hot.

Located at the Jubitz Center, the Grill has good, old fashioned foods. Their coleslaw was a 9; slightly tangy and not soupy and their Garlic Bread rated a 7 and was not overly strong. The Pot Roast is tender and moist but lacks seasoning, as did the Chicken Parmesan. The spaghetti was horribly overcooked and the Potato Skins had a good topping but were extremely dry. Suggested the chef score them and melt butter in them before topping them to solve that problem. Food has lost quality in the last few years, but is still reasonably priced and decent food.

This is one of those places we stumbled onto, but it was good enough that we made a special trip back. The salmon hash is amazing, probably because I didn't see it coming. Living in a land-locked state (Oklahoma), we don't have much in the way of sea food; it certainly hasn't infiltrated breakfast yet. Service is friendly and breakfast is always a hit.

truck stop food has come a long way, its not fine dinning but good options and seem to be well prepared.

Enjoyed stopping in to eat here. Lovely ambience. And good food. Had the Cascade burger & the Hamburger Steak Salad. Very yummy fries! Would come back.

Stopped at the Jubilee truck stop in Portland Oregon and found this restaurant next door. The burgers were tasty and of good size. The desert was great. It was quiet for a Friday night but they also have a lounge next door so perhaps that's where most were. The have bands on Friday and Saturday nights. It is a little pricy that's why they got only 4 stars.

This place is surprisingly good. I are on the bar side, and the service and food were excellent. They’ve done an outstanding job with the remodel. Awesome decor in the bar. Highly recommend a trip through here

Cascade Grill is a small part of the Jubitz Travel Center. Quite an impressive layout. I had thought maybe it was a chain and it's not. Cascade Grill is very nice and laid out well. Large pictures of the Cascade Mountains on the walls make a nice touch. The menu is what you would expect from a truck stop or diner. We went the healthy route and went with the all you can eat salad bar and it was quite good. After dinner, make sure you go to the exhibits near the front door. It has a nice history of how Jubitz Travel Center became to be. It also gives you a trip down history to the year it started. (1952) Those exhibits tell you what was going on in the country back then. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but it made for a nice dinner out.
Hyoed
Mediocre. The ribs were hard and dry. The split pea soup was lukewarm. The nachos were good. The waitress was accommodating but sometimes hard to find though there were very few customers.
