We ate breakfast all 3 mornings in Casis (in the Grand Hyatt Buckhead) and all 3 mornings, everything was superb! Service was among the finest we have had anywhere and the food (we both did the buffet) was excellent. Special shout out to Larry, our server all 3 mornings for taking such great care of us; even setting up for our whole family (12+) on Sunday morning without us having a reservation. Also, thanks to Marco for always checking in to make sure everything was fine!

This restaurant inside the Grand Hyatt is actually named "Cassis", not Cassi's, but let me go on with my review! My family and I have had Easter Brunch here several times, the last time being today. I am glad to report the quality of food, service, and atmosphere has not changed one bit, all are excellent. From the Host to the servers and buffet staff, everyone is in a positive mood. There are food choices that suited all of the picky eaters in my family, including my vegetarian daughter, and my husband, who is on a special diet. The food is served buffet-style, and this year included top round of beef, lamb, fresh water Bass, smoked salmon, baked chicken, fresh Sushi, salad, fruit, various vegetable options, rissoto, and omelette and waffle/french toast stations. The desserts are also wonderful, and the coffee is strong & a nice blend. There is a special kid's buffet with chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, dyed eggs, etc. The "Easter Bunny Helper" is a wonderful person who does an egg-hunt for the children and also face paints and hands out treats (all included in the price) including hand-made white chocolate bunnys and little treat boxes. Outside, there is an Oriental-style garden, perfect for photo-ops. I highly recommend the Hyatt for a very stress-less and wonderful family treat for the holidays! Price: Adults 62.00, Seniors, 52.00, children under 12, 32.00. The next special brunch will be on Mothers' Day. Make your reservations early!

I loved it the food larry, angela the omlet maker everything is great ! I was even able to order chicken sausge the view is beautiful and the atmosphere is wonderful

The Easter brunch here is superb. The selections are excellent, including great quality items from local food farmers. Additionally, this is a wonderful place to bring children. There is an Easter bunny egg hunt as well as several treats for kids to take home.

This Hyatt knows how to train its staff! The service was impeccable with friendly wait staff who were knowledgeable and attentive. The chef prepared a delectable breakfast for us and we were amazed at the flavours and variety. I would most definitely eat here again and look forward to a return visit.

Cassis is excellent in every way. In fact, it was so good that we went twice in one weekend, once for lunch and then back the next day for dinner. The service is exceptional and the setting is gorgeous. It looks out over a beautiful Japanese garden which is stunningly illuminated at night. There is a respectable wine list with a dedicated sommelier. If the weather permits, you can dine outside on the terrace in the Japanese garden (we did both times). Everything we ate was very, very good. If you are an ice cream fan, they have a special dessert menu featuring premium ice creams in a variety of traditional and nontraditional desserts. My husband's butterscotch sundae was the best! This restaurant is a real gem and one we will return to,

A little pricey but no complaints. Service was good and food was never disappointing. Had salads and entrees a few times and never a problem.

Stayed four days with family over Thanksgiving and had full breakfast buffet each day --- ample variety and choices all very tasty.

The basic eggs benedict in not available in this restaurant. The buffet is $22, an a-la-carte order of eggs any style is $15. So it you order a-la-carte you should probably just take the buffet with the over cooked scrambled eggs!

WE had breakfast there 2 mornings and was treated like Royality by the staff. I wish I could remember their names but all were friendly and extremely helpful. Great Food.

The food was very good but I was there just as breakfast was ending and my waiter was anxious to leave. The buffet looked above average, but was closing.

I've had I guess, the pleasure of dining at Cassis many times in my past travels to Atlanta, GA. This restaurant is located inside of the Grand Hyatt Buckhead, featuring a bar and lounge setting on the 2nd floor and a formal dining room setting on the 1st. My reasoning behind the 3 star rating is based off of the inconsistent experiences I've had on both the food and customer service aspect. I don't like the fact that for the breakfast buffet they seem to stop making any more fresh food almost an hour before closing. The buffet itself is mediocre at best and that even on a "good day" that you wake up early enough to get the food that they consider to be fresh. I've requested take out orders as well as dined here and both have been just okay. My Hyatt membership allows for breakfast options so i usually choose to have my food made fresh to order right off the menu instead of eating from the picked over food from the buffet. Oh and skip the Shrimp and Grits.. they were awful on two separate occasions here. Lunch is a tad bit better than the breakfast experience. On the occasions that I've called down and ordered lunch, they seem to move a lot quicker whereas the breakfast orders almost always seem to never be done within the quoted amounted of time it's supposed to be done but moving on.. The best items so far for lunch have to be the salmon and I will take it a step further and end this review by saying that the best part of dining for breakfast downstairs would be the overall ambiance. Taking in the views of the lovely garden outback with the waterfall is soothing... other than that I can’t say that I’d eat here if I had to spend my own money :-D

Great hot or cold breakfast buffet, as well as menu ordering. Beautiful eggs benedict. Great service from our waiter Larry.

This restaurant serves also breakfast in the morning. It has a la carte & buffet. I took the buffet and that was very complete and of great quality

Nicely set in the basement of the Grand Hyatt, Cassis is very convenient for breakfast to get off to a good start for a busy day of a conference. Choose either ala carte or a buffet for a tasty meal. Eggs over easy with bacon and hash browns on one side of the table and a "make your own" omelet on the other side were just right for this morning. Good coffee (although a bit pricey) and orange juice rounded out our meal. Attentive and professional wait staff serving in a room with a quiet ambience. Choose a table by the windows to enjoy the water fall.

I have chance to have a business breakfast and lunch with my business partners in this restaurant, which is at the lower lobby level of the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. For the breakfast, one can choose either buffet breakfast (including cook-to-order omelette) or la carte menu. My business partner and I preferred the menu, which has an extensive choice. Coffee, tea, and juices are available. I choose the fried chicken, which from my point of view is of surprisingly large quantity but it is also tasty. Though the restaurant is quite big, it can be busy in the rush morning hour. For the lunch, I feel more relaxed maybe because there are only 3 or 4 table of diners including my business partners and myself. The lunch menu is not as extensive as the breakfast but there are still quite a number of choices, including appetizers, salad, entrees and desserts. My choice of tuna salad is nice but it is actually a-bit spicy because of the sauce. The environment of the restaurant is nice, especially it feels peaceful and relaxed in the lunch time. Also, one can see the high waterfall coming from he Japanese Zen Garden at the 3/F of the hotel.

Attending a business meeting the restaurant at the Grand Hyatt is comfortable with a typical menu. The buffet breakfast is a challenge nobody should have to deal with. The chafing dishes have no hinges and no place to put them as you wander down the line. Very cumbersome with one hand full with your plate. Then you get to the toaster. The bread is 3 inches bigger than the opening in the toaster. According to wait staff these problems have existed for months. I don't believe breakfast is important to the hotel GM.

What a surprise. Only restaurant opened during the renovations of the property and we were blown away by the quality and service.

I only had breakfast there but the quality and presentation of the food was excellent. Recommend it for business travelers staying at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead.

A group of us ate at Cassis in the basement of the Grand Hyatt on Peachtree Street in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. The salad was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly.

I really enjoyed eating here. The servers were very accommodating and the food was delicious. There is a nice view of the hotel waterfall to give it a nice feel. Definitely recommend.

The breakfast buffet for 2 is ~$48. It includes cereal, hot foods, fruit, breads, and an omlette station. All of this sounds pretty standard. This would be true if it werent for the grits and waffle that were AMAZING! I love grits in every form, so I tend to be fairly critical. These looked pretty standard, but were much better than they looked! The same is true of the waffle! We didnt have any other meal here, but I can say breakfast is great. However, if I didnt have a voucher for the meal, I never would have paid that price!

Very poor service during breakfast. The waiter was nowhere to be seen during most of the meal. Spent an hour with business associates and we got one refill of coffee, which was lukewarm at that. As soon as the bill was paid, it was obvious that the waiter had no interest in attending to us, refilling coffee, etc. The $22 buffet was mediocre, typical institutional hotel food with no one attending it. I came away feeling as if I had been ripped-off.

The service left much to be desired. We had quite a wait to be seated when plenty of tables were unoccupied. They also ran out of plates on the buffet. The waiter greatly embarrassed my father-in-law when he questioned the discount we had been given for being a part of the wedding block. An email had been sent to both of us telling about a 15% off discount at the restaurant. The waiter stated loudly, "I'll give you this discount even through I can't find it in the system." We both showed him the email and he failed to apologize. I do hope this was an isolated incident because my father-in-law loves this hotel and their staff. The food however was good and there were many options on the buffet.

I ate here because I was staying at the Hyatt. As with all hotels, eating in the hotel restaurant is kinda pricey. That said, I was very happy with my pancakes here. The fact that I could book with OpenTable from my bed and roll down 45 minutes later was a nice touch on my getaway.

I've eaten breakfast here on each of my visits to the Grand Hyatt and could not be more complimentary. Both the breakfast buffet, as well as orders from the menu, are always tasty and prepared to my specifications. Can't think of a time when I haven't been satisfied with a selection or dish that I've ordered. Plus, the wait staff is extremely pleasant and attentive. Highly recommend.

So important for a restaurant in a hotel to be able to prepare special food for those on medically prescribed diets. Both for breakfast and lunch, especially as the hotel hosts various conferences on the premises, Cassis meets the needs of a variety of guest preferences. Did not partake of the buffet options at breakfast though many others did. Not open for dinner, but the quality of fresh ingredients and the professional demeanor of the staff made the other two meals of the day experiences to anticipate. Conversation at quiet tables was possible as well.

Attractive setting with the gardens behind and outside. Unfortunately, the food choices were very limited and not presented in an attractive way. Service was good

Had breakfast here. Awesome service. Good food. A little pricey, but worth it supreme service.

This restaurant serves locally grown foods. I don't go for buffet breakfasts. To me there is a reason that they have menus and chefs. I ordered the Sweet Potato and Yukon Skillet. It was delicious. There were sweet and Yukon potatoes, crumbled turkey sausage, spinach, roasted peppers, onion, and an egg made to order (I had over-easy) on top. Everything just blended so well. It was seasoned perfectly and just when you get used to the savory side those sweet potatoes round out the flavor. My coworker ordered two eggs scrambled and ham. It came with a side of mixed grain toast, of which she shared. That was some really good bread. I would have ordered more if I could have eaten more. Our server was Larry and bless him for being so patient while my coworker ran about 15 minutes late to the table. He was so friendly. The restaurant had a very relaxed feel. It overlooked a Japanese styled garden and a waterfall. I found it well priced for a hotel restaurant. I really enjoyed the meal and service so it was a good value.

I had breakfast here twice during my stay. I did not have the buffet, but ordered off the menu. The service was friendly and very professional. I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Nice big room that can get loud but the delicious drinks and comfy seating make up for it. Nice to watch the Olympics during the afternoon.

breakfast buffet was very disappointing. Nothing you would expect at an upscale hotel. Holiday inn does a better job

Absolutely gorgeous spread of foods. Pasta station, omlette station, carving station. Seafood station was loaded with crab claws, oysters on a half shell, jumbo shrimp cocktail, sushi, and shrimp and grits. The dessert station had a nice display but options were limited and all the desserts looked and tasted like they were not made in house. Sams club treats on nice plates. Althoguh it sounds amazing the food had little to no flavor or pizazz. It was disappointing. On a brighter note the service was excellent.

I only ate here for breakfast, and tried table service one morning and the breakfast buffet the next morning. I found the prices a little high, and the staff inattentive at times.

Everything was delicious. Price was fair and service was great. Our server was very attentive. They have a chef that will prepare omelets and the juice was very good.

Being celiac eating out can be a nightmare for me. I was very impressed that they did have decent gluten free offerings. My server was extremely attentive and very helpful. He made sure that he communicated with the chef and explained my gluten sensitivity.

The lunch salad bar is such a good deal, and it is amazingly fresh. There was a chicken and steak option (or both!). The veggies were plentiful and obviously very fresh. There was soup and bread, and they even brought me gluten free bread when I asked. It also came with a soda. I also ordered room service once (burger) and ate in the cafe once (kale salad). Highly recommend.

Main courses were ok and the desserts were great. My wife and I went here for our 1st wedding anniversary while staying a night at the Hyatt Grand which is where the restaurant is located. The best thing it had going was the romantic atmosphere.

Sure, it's cheap at $12.95. So why should I expect that they would have a variety of things to choose from, that the bread would be fresh, or there would be any desert items--even so much as Jello? Honestly, the selection was so limited that it was hard to find things to put on my plate.

Food's been really good and they have a decent collection of wines . Service and atmosphere been very good. I had a fish and it is awesome.

Ok, I don't know who makes those fluffy, delicious, melt in your mouth, pancakes with pecans, but he or she deserves a huge raise. Who expects delicious, fluffy, light as air pancakes in a hotel? Not only were they delicious, but the presentation was wonderful also with powdered sugar sprinkled just so and the perfect amount of pecans gracing the plate. The chicken apple sausage was delicious, the fresh orange juice was delicious and the fingerling potatoes were a delight as well! The staff members were so friendly - as are all of the staff members at this hotel. I ate here each morning. I only expected to eat there once but it was so delicious and the service was so wonderful, I came back each day. Can't wait to get back!!

Any time I stay at the Grand Hyatt I enjoy the great breakfast at this restaurant. You cannot go wrong with this choice. They offer a variety of foods which is well worth it! I highly recommend.

Staying at the Hyatt this is a great breakfast buffet. The staff is great here and very attentive. Always fresh and good.

Usually you use a hotel for convenience, but go to this one for the food and the staff. This was southern hospitality at it's finest. Wonderful people and unusual food combinations. The flat breads, especially the pear/chicken with balsamic vinegar, were delicious. They had a butternut squash and chestnut soup that was heaven in a bowl. Prices are reasonable as well. Cloth table clothes and napkins, friendly waiters, and cheaper than a deli we ate at down the street one day. They have a nice breakfast buffet that changes items daily. Our waiter Larry was charming as was Sterling and the hostess was friendly and helpful as well. Don't pass this by just because it's in the Grand Hyatt, a spectacular find.

Cassis was wonderful! My business colleague and I ate there after completing a site tour for an upcoming investor meeting we're planning. They've recently hired a new chef after the previous one was promoted, and he has revamped the menu to a fresh, southern, and savory cuisine. What I appreciate is that there is something for everyone. Whether the dish is light or substantial or vegetarian or for your carnivores... you can't go wrong! I recommend the ahi tuna salad, shrimp and grits, and crab cakes. Thank you to Terrence Frederick for the invite and to our server Larry. Ill certainly be back!

My husband and I had a wonderful breakfast at the Hyatt, Cassis Restaurant this past weekend. The restaurant overlooks a beautiful garden with a large waterfall. The view is spectacular and you can choose to eat outside by the garden (al fresco) or inside with a view of the garden. The restaurant has a reasonable priced ($22) breakfast buffet which has many options including, omlettes (made to order), fresh fruit, sausage, pastry, cereal, eggs, bacon and Starbucks coffee. There are also healthy options, including chicken sausage, egg white omlettes, dried fruit, juice etc. There is always pancakes, waffles, or french toast on the breakfast bar. I had the pancakes and they were some of the best I have had recently. The service was first rate. Sterling, Joseph and Zack all refilled my coffee and juice and were extremely attentive. Breakfast is served until 11:30. The breakfast was delicious, the ambiance and view was amazing and the service was first rate. We will definately be back.

The service is quick and attentive, and they also don't rush you, so our party lingered for nearly two hours without any problems (and still got drink refills over time). Menu had lots of interesting choices, and I tried the pimento cheese hamburger which was delightful. Salads were big enough for two people to share.

The buffet was overpriced, a lot of carbs, grits awesome, scrambled eggs bland. For $22 I was expecting made to order omelettes.
Overpriced food, missing service
As a hotel guest, I received half-off the breakfast buffet, and it still cost too much. The hosts seemed more interested in their conversation. Once seated, I had to wait for over ten minutes before a server came over, got the drink orders, and let us know how the buffer worked. He got the drinks wrong and generally ignored us in favor of the table behind us. The buffet was on par with what one would get *for free* at a much lower-end hotel. If I were a Hyatt Platinum, I would be pissed. The omelette station was a bright spot, but the guy there was backed-up for the entire time that I was there. If you're paying for breakfast, definitely skip this place.
