This is real Mexican Food. Don't be surprised when you pull up and you think you are at the wrong place. In the front is a real grocery store. Very simple great authentic menu.

We were there for Mexican food. While this is my favorite cuisine, I found that restaurant very pleasant. Mexican food at reasonable price. I tried fajitas there and it was good. All n all test was good. I had some problem with load music there. Staff was pretty good and service was nice.

Met two friends here for lunch. One been before and highly recommended it. It looks like a rough neighborhood bodega with bars on the windows/doors but don't let this scare you! Grocery store in the front, restaurant in the back as well as banquet/special occasion rooms. Good tortilla chips, four types of salsa/dips. Big menu. Husband and I shared a beef fajita burrito with rice and beans for $8.99. Plenty to eat and it was delicious! Very tasty and authentic. Have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant near ATL. Given how many employees from Delta and Porsche and local police departments were also eating lunch there, you know it's good. Five stars!

Try the molchahete (sp) or the street tacos. Also the shrimp cocktail is yummy. We eat here often and always have a great meal.

Awesome food authentic Mexican. The molcahete is so good! I would recommend to anyone!! Tacos and burrito Martin are good choices.

Very similar to places close to home. Excellent local, authentic Mexican food served in a family friendly setting in the back of a market. Expect Latin music videos interrupted by Latin music from a jukebox. Broad range of food and available at off times. Not feeling breakfast for your hotel lobby, come to Cantina for tacos at 10 am. Don't blink or you will drive right past. It would be your loss for missing Cantina.

First time here. Came in for lunch with a 5 man crew. Very busy restaurant in the rear of a market. Large dining area. Service is good and the girls are overwhelmed at times. Food is very good and authentic. Prices are reasonable.

Authentic tacos. Fresh corn tortillas. You get free bean soup and 3 kinds of dipping sauce (including guacamole sauce) with your chips. It's fast and cheap.

You walk through the Mexican grocery store to access the resturant towards the back, and the smell of fresh corn tortillas and sweet sauces waft through the building. The resturant is simple but you get the sense that they're more about the food than the asthetics. I got three tacos for $4.00 to-go: one chicken, bbq pulled pork, and beef. And they were prepped on the spot and so delicious with a medley of takeout sauces and garnishes packed with the tacos. I went after a long day of work, but I'd love to see this place at night - there's a jukebox machine that looks well-used.

It's in the back of grocery store. There is Mexican decor all over the place. The tacos are very authentic. Best street tacos I've had here in Atlanta. They even give complimentary bean soup and chips/salsa/guacamole dip

When the first language in the menu is Spanish and most of the other diners are Hispanic, you know you're in for some good Mexican food. Had the horchata to drink, excellent and refreshing! Ordered the chimichanga and was very pleased. The only problem was that there were actually two of them! If you can call that a problem... Maybe I ordered wrong... Muy delisioso!

I wish this place was around the corner from my house! Best Tacos in Atlanta at the best price! When all the clientele speaks Spanish and you are the only table of gringos you know you have hit the jackpot. A stand alone building by the railroad tracks that has a bodega in the front and food to DIE for in the back.. Tacos start at $1.50 each. Tacos al pastor were moth watering!

Someone has to tell you about this place because the grocery store front hides the gem of an eatery in back. If I was from south of the border this would be the place that makes food just like Madre did. I have eaten chorizo at many Mexican & Central American joints and by far Catalina has the best ever! Lunch can get crowed so plan accordingly. If your an airport traveler and have a few hours to kill take a Lyft over and try this one out.

First visit. Stumbled upon. While it's a grocery store front wise decision to venture to back restaurant. Was a lil leary at first because it's all 100% Mexican however was greeted by English speaking server. Placed nachos order to gosh it was healthy portions enough for 2!!! Wish I would have had time to sit down and eat there....so with that said...will be returning to dine in. All the customers seem to have been enjoying the service and all the meals served looked delicious. The drinks look good too.

This restaurant is disguised as a modest grocery store but in the back is a Mexican food lovers delight! I don't read Spanish, but the server helped explain the menu items. Food was seasoned well and very large portions. I could eat here daily!

We were in for a surprise when we stopped at the Catalina (behind the supermarket) while we had a bit of extra time before a flight out of Atlanta. We had read reviews stating that the restaurant catered to the local population. Well, we were the only ones who ordered in English. The food was very good; it was clearly a very popular place with the locals. There were two bands who played that Sunday evening. Even the televisions carried Spanish-speaking stations. It made for some fun and good, solid Mexican food.

From the tacos to the carne asada and to the tortas this place is by far one of my top spots as far as mexican food, don't let the grocery store in the front fool you. The place has always been consistent with their food and if you dont want to wait you can also call ahead to order, im not sure how good their english is(i speak spanish ;) nevertheless this place is superb! I always recommend it to my friends and family and now my trip advisor fam.

We found this restaurant quite by accident as we made an error coming off of I 75 onto Old Dixie Road. The place looks like a hole in the wall country bar but open the door and Wham, it is like stepping into the twilight zone. There is a small grocery store in front and a large restaurant in back, Hispanic music booming, Mexican decor ( nothing fancy). I think my husband and I were the only white people in there. You could have swore you were in a place in Mexico. The food was wonderful and very inexpensive. I had a quesadilla appetizer for my meal which came with rice, refried beans and a small bowl of bean soup. My husband had a larger meal that would have fed 2 or 3 people. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful with my husbands gluten free needs. The Catalina restaurant was a great find and I just hope we can come across it again next time we travel I 75. They also had all of your favourite Mexican beers.

Real Mexican food cooked by, served by and eaten by Mexicans. Large menu of Mexican food choices and extremely low prices. I think I was the only Gringo in the place for lunch. My server appeared to not speak English. The place was full of Latinos. The food was very good, large quantity, and unbelievably cheap. Now that I discovered this place, I will go back often for very good and cheap lunches of the Mexican style. You enter thru a little grocery store and go to the back. The place looks small from the front, but they have a large seating area. I was pleasantly surprised in the positive way!!
Very much Mexico
I love the place. This is the most real Mexico place to eat. Food is very good and inexpensive and you walk the grocery store to get into the restaurant. It truly feels like you are in Mexico. 2 tacos and a Mexican plate less than $10 with sodas. Hard to find a place to park when busy which seems most of the time. We ate there in a Sunday afternoon and they had live music.
