Yum food and nice setting

By Chetna Y |

We visited the restaurant on Monday night,12 Sep. The restaurant had a nice setting. We ordered the Rogan Paneer and Dal Maharani with spice level 2 on a range of 1 to 5. The spice was extremely high. But once we told the waiter she promptly took the food back, and apologized for the little glitch. The food once with right spice level was scrumptious. The rotis were soft and huge and the chutneys were just delicious. We devoured it in minutes. I happened to visit the restaurant again the very next day for lunch. I ordered Vegetable Briyani (Spice level 2),again the spice level was way too high. I am sure the staff would have changed the spice levels, had I asked them to. I would definitely like to visit again given the delicious food on first visit and courteous staff.

Very tough lamb.

I had lamb. It was the toughest meat I ever tried to eat. I should have sent back, but I took it home for the cats. They wouldn’t eat it, but neighbor’s dog did.

Absolutely fantastic food

I love this restaurant. They have fresh, great food and unlimited chai. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are friendly and efficient. There's enough food for everyone to be satisfied.

Always a Favorite Stop

By LuViPortland |

There were the typical a.m. dozens and dozens of boxed lunches in preparation for some conference somewhere in Seattle. This restaurant shows clients that "Mediterranean" means more than cutting up feta cheese and calling it a meal. It's always busy, clean enough, very economical, and continues to try to improve the physical premises.

Delicious and delightful!

By Claudia K |

Loved the butter chicken dinner! I had basmati rice, veggies, and naan to compliment the main course. It was served piping hot from the kitchen and everything was cooked to perfection. This is bar none, the best restaurant in the area. Plenty of parking too. Service was very friendly and we were made to feel family. Absolutely will go back the next time we are in the area. For the vegetarians out there - you will find lots of good choices too.

Live cockroach on my table. What the??

By sivadyert |

I used to go out of my way to stop here and eat the Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan with Mint Chutney. In fact, I've been eating here since about 1997 or so after a friend introduced me to this place when we were both college students. I've never lived closer than 2 hours away, but I still found a way to come here a couple of times a year. So all in all, I must have eaten here 25 times or more. This was truly one of my favorite places. That was before I saw a cockroach crawl onto my table as I was nearly finished. I almost vomited. True, they're mostly harmless critters, but quite appalling, nonetheless. When I brought the waiter over to show him the freshly smashed roach--courtesy of the fast moves of one of my international dinner guests (how embarrassing)--I was given a brief, quiet apology with the words, "We're aware of the problem and we've tried twice now to kill them off." Other than offering to half my bill they really gave me no explanation and no manager came to speak with me, etc. It was late, and with guests I didn't want to make a scene. I just can't bring myself to ever come here again... sad. I should mention that I frequently dine out and I've never once seen a roach in a restaurant let alone on my table.

Not as Good as Previous Visits

By Takarehi |

Some years ago we were regulars here and enjoyed the food immensely. Since our last visit I don’t know if the place changed hands, cooking staff or what, but our food on this visit did not have the smooth quality we used to appreciate and brought us back repeatedly. It was okay but I doubt we will return.

Groupon miscommunication

By Mariko K |

I am disappointed. I gave a printout Groupon before ordering anything and explained to them the food menu on the coupon was what I wanted, but they kept asking me what I wanted to order. Worse, they incorrectly charged on my bill.

Authentic Indian food in a sea of hipster towers

By Wedge |

Best Indian food in city, for past 40 years or so. Great tender lamb dishes; nice tasty textured vegetarian dishes; with attentive professional service. The surrounding neighborhood - gone! Grocery, drug store, small commercial - gone gone gone! The kitchen at Cedars continues unfazed by the skyscrapers and new density. One ding against the food - The sweet sauces are a bit too sweet for this palette. Excellent authentic chai - in a white porcelain cup just like you get on the street corners in Mumbai!

The best Naan & delicious chutneys!

By TXMARTINS |

The Naan servings here are huge and so good! The spinach and garlic are the two best kinds and its definitely worth getting your own so you can take home the leftovers. Large portions that are great for sharing family style. The Tandoori chicken, the butter chicken, and the Chicken tikka were all great and the prices very reasonable. Tip: Parking is hard so take public transportation if you can!

Consistently Good Indian Food

By Rumples |

This is our "go-to" restaurant for Indian fare in Seattle. It is always well prepared and spiced -- mild, moderate or hot -- according to our request. On our latest visit, we enjoyed the garlic naan (perfectly made); tandoori chicken, bone-in, accompanied by lots of rice and sauteed fresh vegetables (eye-rolling good); and yummy Aloo gobi (a mixture of potatoes and cauliflower, wonderfully spiced). To drink, we enjoyed iced chai that seemed to have endless refills. The huge food portions meant that we went home with enough leftovers for at least another meal. Service was efficient and fast. Cedars is located on the second floor of an old building that truly shows its age. Everything is well worn in the dining room, including the furnishings. Tables are also available on a side porch that has seen better days. This is definitely not an upscale dining experience, but the authentic Indian food makes it a worthwhile stop. The menu also features Mediterranean items. Free parking is available across the street in the Safeway parking lot. Signs identify those spaces reserved for Cedars' patrons. There is also paid parking on the street.

A glitch but otherwise perfect

By Frank4014 |

I was starving and saw how popular and well rated this place was so went there. I walked in and the man didn't greet me too well. I speak a bit softly and he said I needed to speak up so I said I was there to eat. He could be a little more professional in asking me to repeat myself. Great naan. Great hummus. Great curry. I'd eat here again any time. Best hot chai I've had. Nice servers. Yum!

Excellent Food

By Sarah A |

Very friendly staff and peaceful environment, Cedars in the UDistrict is one of our favorite local restaurants. We like to try new things every time we go but we always agree that the garlic naan is a most! With a wide variety of options spanning Indian and Mediterranean cuisine, there is something for everyone. I am always pleased at the number of vegetarian options available as well. My personal favorite is the "channa masala" and the "tikka masala." Each dish is easily two meals and leftovers translate well the next day. We are also huge fans of the chai and highly recommend it. Always a pleasure eating at Cedars!

Excellent food - great service

By WesternTraveler60 |

Loved this place. Only complaint was that the excellent food came too fast...huge portions that overwhelmed the table. Lots to take home.

Unpretentious, busy, and good food

By hahnecho |

This is a popular Indian and Mid-East restaurant not far from University of Washington in what looks like an old large house. We were there on a Saturday night with a party of six and it was crowded and noisy with mostly young people but the atmosphere was great and so was the food. Apparently, it started as a Mid-Eastern deli 40+ years ago but they have more Indian items now. They have an amazing number of breads, naan and other. All of our foods -- I believe everyone ordered Indian dishes -- were excellent. I would definitely go back the next time I am in Seattle.

Great Indian and Mediterranean food

By Diana F |

This was my second visit. It was on Thanksgiving day. The naan was tasteful. I loved the vegetables and rice. The others food was great too: lamb kabob. They did not rush us and gave us a table with a great view.

Excellent Indian food

By indigomoonman |

Wow! I don't know much about Indian food but this place is a real treat. My family and I shared several different dishes: a curry chicken, a butter masala, and a tandoori salmon, accompanied by saffron infused rice. Everything was delicious. We had prompt and courteous service. Reasonable prices. Great place to eat if you are in the U district. Highly recommended.

Delivered by UberEATs

By LisaPageDesign |

I wanted to try something different. Cedars is on the new UberEATs selections and I thought, OK worth a try. Both dishes, Coconut Curry + Butter Chicken arrived hot & were totally YUMMY! The order of two dishes came with enough rice for four, seriously, plenty of rice that is fragrant and fluffy! Ordered Hummus w/naan too. Delish! (Only... I wish it came with more warm naan) Order came hot, within time stated & driver polite. Good scores for the food + delivery combo. Hubby & I have enough food leftover for another meal BTW. Great value considering quality, delivery, portion & price.

we LOVE the cedars. much has been said about the endless chai. I always end up getting a plate that has 2 or 3 each of grilled, marinated chicken, beef, and shrimp, perfectly seasoned. Great tamarind sauce, superb naan! I go every time i"m in seattle.

What a Shame

By Tiggerlives |

We are Brits f=recently moved to Seattle or a couple of years and we were looking for good Indian restaurant. The Cedars was recommended to us but I'm struggling to find one positive comment. My first impression was it was not clean in fact I'd have to say it was FILTHY and if in the UK would have been shut down. However we did persevere and ordered food. The Nan was good and the flavours of the two curries we ordered were good but the fish and chicken in the curries was of a very low quality. My husband ventured to the rest rooms but advised me against it. He said the restrooms at the trailheads on our hikes were better. It was such a shame as we would love to find a good Indian here in Seattle; we miss our curry house in the UK but this one is not for us.

Huge servings of Naan

By onewickedb |

We met up with family here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Parking around the restaurant sucks so be aware of that element. However, the restaurant itself is pleasant, well lit and has ample space for big parties. I'm not an Indian food fan but everyone in the group said their meals weren't bad. I got the falafel and although I've had much better, I've also had worse. The Naan bread was HUGE. We ordered two and between 4 of us we only ate about half of one. The service was mediocre but not horrible. Over all, I would say this place is a decent stop for Indian food in the U District.

Shish Taouk excellent

By John H |

I had a late lunch at Cedars. I liked the mixture of Indian and middle eastern foods. I had the shish taouk chicken shish kebab) and it was excellent. It came with five good size pieces of chicken breast, nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. There was a yogurt sauce to dip it in. In addition, there was wonderful mixture of vegetables including peppers, zuchini, carrots, and potatoes, also wonderfully seasoned, and a very nice white rice. It was plenty to eat. Service was very good and the surroundings are quite nice. Prices are about what you would expect given the quantity and quality of food. I recommend it.

Delicious Indian Cuisine at a Decent Price

By TheBuckhous |

Spending a weekend in Seattle and my brother in-law who lives there suggested we join him at Cedars. I absolutely love Indian food but I am hesitant to eat at Indian restaurants because they often don't meet general cleanliness standards of a first world country. I had the coconut curry with chicken and it was delicious!! I would suggest naan bread as well, I think we ordered a garlic one and a regular one. My wife had chicken tikka that was even better than my curry but I wasn't mad :) My brother in-law had the butter paneer masala and it looked amazing but I did not try it though he says it is his "go to" dish. Overall I definitely recommend this place and will be back for more when I'm in the area.

India food was good Mediterranean or desserts suck

By NoJunk69 |

We ordered Veg Kofta, Chicken TIkka Masala with Rice and Nan, all those were good. However Mediterranean vegetable plate was horrible. They provide a chicken instead of paneer. Rest of items were tasteless. We also wanted to order Kulfi, Mango Pista they were out. We had Baklava (not so good, very hard to chew or cut), the coconut ice cream had icicles.

Really Good Food.

By kennySanDiego |

I dropped into this place for lunch during a recent trip to Seattle. It was quite crowded, which isn't always a good sign. Nonetheless, I was very impressed by the food. I had a tandoori sampler, baba ganoush, and garlic naan. Everything was quite tasty, especially the naan. In fact, the naan they served was as big as a large pizza! I've never had such a large serving in any Indian restaurant. The service was good, too. I definitely recommend this place.

Great Nan, otherwise disappointing

By archipenko |

The Nan was easily the best I've had in the USA, although it was served about 15 minutes before the food, which was odd. The lamb karahi gohst was nicely spiced for hot, but the thick brown sauce was over thickened and the only trace of vegetables I could find was onion and every more onion. I know I'm spoilt having had the good fortune of living in London, Birmingham and Bradford in the UK where Indian food is very much a speciality, but sadly a great Indian meal is something I still struggle to find in our new home in the US.

Best Butter Chicken anywhere.

I continue to search for better Butter Chicken and have tried various places in several counties. This one still wins. Service is usually good since they have so many people working at a time.

Wonderful sandwiches to go

We bought take out sandwiches to eat on our Argosy boat ride. Our salmon and lamb sandwiches with tahini sauce were the envy of the others, who had sad burgers & fries from *****. Take extra napkins, and just try not to moan with pleasure. I can't wait to back for dinner, maybe on their outdoor patio.

By Lukas_PRG |

This is a great place - they serve excellent chai and they will make your food spicy as it should be if you ask for it (otherwise, you're getting the mild version). Authentic cuisine for a reasonable price. Do yourself a favour and get the garlic naan.

Reasonably good atmosphere. We had our lunch here, though I would suggest this place good for dinner. The munu has a choice of North Indian cuisine. Karnav was taking care of our table. He is too good in information suggest combination and portion. We ordered Naan, chicken Jalfreze, Rait. .and Mango Lussi. Yummy they were. Thumbs-up

Went to lunch here with family members and we were all happy with our choices. Although the specials board listed interesting sandwiches, we all went for more traditional foods like samosas, vegetarian platter, sampler platter. There was more food than we could eat, and it was excellent. The sauces were outstanding, tandoori dishes delicious...and the waitstaff funny and accomodating. The prices were very reasonable and I look forward to another meal here.

Indian on Autopilot

By denverdogwalker |

This restaurant was fairly highly rated so we anticipated a great meal. From the time we called to find out the closing time ("9:15," huh?) to the staff that didn't treat us like people, just checks, this was a very bland experience. Even the food was rather bland. The staff never greeted us, smiled or exchanged any pleasantries. The waitress who took our order, including a mango lassi, returned 5 minutes later and didn't remember which of the 2 of us ordered it.

Because the servers weren't tipped out and they all shared the tables, the service could be spotty, but seriously delicious murgh makini (butter chicken) and spinach naan. RIP Cedars.

Bad meat. Crazy service.

By Neil C |

Quality of ingredients - meat particularly, is way, way, way lower than Chutney's (Wallingford). After I was introduced to Chutney's years ago I never went back. Never liked how the waiters don't really provide service, but do make sure that they turn their tables over as fast as possible. The water service is nutty, I don't need my glass filled every two minutes, and I don't need you to interrupt my conversation that frequently to do so.

Excellent meal and great vibes

AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I ate up the food so fast and it made me feel nourished. I would bring my family here to impress them.

food at a decent price, and tasty

By Valerie S |

being on a low carb hi fat diet can be a problem - no rice for a start, and not much flour... So I ordered fish tikka = 8.95, and a Mediterranean salad = 6.95 which seemed to fit - and the salad was huge, I thought I would get 1 tikka, but I got 2 huge tikkas - WONDERFUL TASTE. my hubby ordered a Lamb boti kab, which had rice, and veg and a huge quantity of really tender Lamb ( which was very TASTY - I stole a bit ) we were completely full after this and the iced water - should have remembered it was America, not England.

Reasonable food, tepid service

By Robert B |

Food good quality, albeit less than average portions - biryani excepted - but service standoffish to the point of silent. Not offered drinks other than water, no contact with waitress between meals brought and subsequently cleared. Quite expensive for what it was.

Somebody please buy the chef some spices!

By chirp54 |

I ordered my favorite Indian dish, palak paneer and what I got was a few chunks of cheese with pureed spinach - SO bland. I ended up taking it home and adding the rest of the ingredients. The naan, however was perfect, and the service was pretty good.

Very good food!

By Cattledogs |

It was the very hot day in Seattle, and we decided to have an Indian dinner. We did not know that many restaurants in Seattle had no AC as they do not need it. So we had the Indian food in a hot restaurant - making it more authentic! We ordered Samosa, Pakoras, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Korma. They were all good. And we got one complimentary ice tea (thank you!) There was an Indian family eating next to us, so it must have been authentic. After the dinner, the air in the hot Seattle evening felt cooler. We go to many Indian restaurants in NY, and this was one of the best one.

Not great...not bad

By gec718 |

A friend suggested going to an Indian restaurant in this neighborhood, bithout naming one. I did some research and assumed we wee going to a different establishment. I was surprised how similar this menu was to the other I had seen on line. I was most surprised by the sped of the service. We ordered an appetized and nan, as well as entrees. The salad arrived followed in extremely quick order by the bread and each of the entrees. They need to pace the meal and give diners a bit of a chance to enjoy their first course before the rest of the meal arrives. We were suprised how mild the medium heat was. Overall the dishes were enjoyable, but not memorable. My friend, who had eaten there several times before said as we were leaving, :It's not as good as I remembered." I was glad since it judged it average. We had tandori chicken with bones and a lamb dish the name of which I don't remember, but it was better than the chick. The nan was the garlic version, and was also very mild..

GREAT SERVICE!

By William L |

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Our party of 4 arrived on New Year's Eve to find the main dining room full of groups of people at long tables having a great time, but also being quite noisy. Since we wanted to talk quietly, I asked our greeter to move us to a table by the door, but instead she opened the room on the West side of the restaurant where there were no other guests. She moved 2 tables together and during our meal we were attended by several different wait-persons. The food was very good as usual, but the service couldn't have been better. We live one block away and have been coming to this restaurant for years.

By RestlessFeet |

Randomly tried this restaurant while staying in the area. It was packed for dinner, mostly with tables full of students from the university. Atmosphere was busy and somewhat noisy, but in a good, energizing way. Not a place for a quiet romantic dinner. The portions were very large. I ended up sharing some of my naan and raita with the next table. Best raita ever. Tandoori chicken tikka was excellent. Would definitely go back, hopefully with a friend to share and to try more menu items.

A Rush Job

By walthorticulture |

Our family group of four wanted to sup before heading to a nearby jazz concert. We had booked a reservation early enough so that we could enjoy our meal over appetizers, drinks and a main. Waiter one took our drink order; two of our choices were out of stock even though their menu wasn't crossed out like some items. Three of ours came from a different person; It took a half an hour for my wife to get her drink from a third waitperson. Our appetizer plate came (barely enough for four even though it should have been sufficient) and then the naan and then the main dishes started piling in as we just were starting. No time to finish appetizers and now no room for everything else. I asked that the rest of the order just wait until we were finished with the appetizers. Then, the cold shoulder with no one out of four waitpersons stopping to see how we were doing. Finally, we got the attention of a fifth person to resume the meal. We had not been to the Cedars for awhile and we won't be back. It used to be owned and run by someone well versed in the business but now, the windows are dirty, the staff hurried and harried without coordination - a mess!

Tandoori lamb was excellennt

By John H |

I had the tandoori lamb which came with rice pilaf and vegetables. It was really really good. Nicely spicy and tender. The pilaf and vegetables went perfectly with it. They had decent wine at reasonable prices. Great service. They have a nice variety of middle Eastern a Indian dishes. Seating was available inside or outside. All in all a delightful dinner. I highly recommend Cedars on Brooklyn.

Tasty and fast

By Lena R |

We had garlic naan , beef samosas and shish cabob, Large portion, was more than enough for 2 and Very tasty! We also took a hummus plate, it was ok, but liked this not as much

Pretty Good

By worstinshow |

The food here is pretty good for Americanized Indian food. The naan is huge and good. Portions of food are large here so it makes for leftovers. I would suggest to order appetizers and then tell the waiter you are "still deciding" and not order entrees until the appetizers arrive. As others have mentioned, this restaurant prioritizes table turnover over a leisurely meal, so our appetizers were served at the same time as the entrees. I tried to explain to the server the difference between appetizer and entree, but she didn't care. Next time we won't order all at once.

Rude waitstaff- don't make this your first experience with Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food.

By GretaJ853 |

While staying in the University District we passed by this restaurant more than once. Each time we encountered wonderful aromas coming from it. Finally we had the opportunity to try it for dinner. Having never tried a Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food, once we were seated we asked for recommendations of what to try. We were given only marginal information, with no detail about the differences or nuances of each type. When we indicated again to the waiter that we were unfamiliar and were looking for guidance, we were essentially dismissed. I felt that it was very rude and the waiter never returned to the table. There were other waitresses (hostesses?) that delivered our food. The food we did receive was good, but I'm betting that if we had received some sort of suggestions or guidance in order to get the best experience, it would have helped tremendously. While dining, we noticed several other diners that had ordered Nan bread and were using it similar to how you would use tortillas when having Mexican food. That was the type of information we were after so we could enjoy the total dining experience. Sadly, I now have a biased opinion of this restaurant, I was really disgusted at the way we were treated by the waitstaff and won't make a point of going there again when staying in the University District.

Worth the price

Always good value. Don't expect high end service, do expect good food. Love the naan, and they pay attenrion to the degree of heat. I'm the wimp. My wife likes it hot.

If you love Indian food....

By John K |

We were visiting my son in Seattle and he suggested Cedars so we could get our Indian food fix. It was really excellent and very reasonably priced. The various sauces served with the Naan bread had the right balance of heat and flavor. The main dishes were prepared according to one's heat tolerance. My lamb Vindaloo was one of the best I have eaten outside of India and I tried everyone else's - curry, signature dishes - all delicious. They have a good collection of beers including Kingfisher and the wines are reasonably priced. Service was efficient and attentive. This goes on the list for our next trip.

Go there when hungry. Pretty good and authentic Lebanese/Indian food. Some items are overpriced in my opinion but it's a good place to go and have a dinner. Broad selection of beers. Good selection of desserts. We got a free baklava when we were leaving, which was nice.

Food and service were both perfect! I am no easily impressed by a restaurant. My husband and I had basically eaten and met 2 friends and my son and daughter in law to be before we hit up a movie at the Sundance Theater. Because we weren't going to order, the waiter immediately brought us complimentary chai tea. It was delicious. The other 4 ordered food and I nipped off of their plates. I was amazed at how intense all of the food was. The Naan bread was huge and just made and perfect for slopping up everyone's left overs. I was so sorry that I didn't get a day to go back during my trip because I really wanted to eat a complete meal there. Highly recommen

Food is actually pretty good, but the circus style of table waiting drives me crazy, oh and they have tried to kick me and my 3 friends out for loitering before while we were waiting for our meal after finishing the appetizer.

Trying a new place

By WaSunlover |

We always go to Jewel of India around the corner but today was a special day. We were celebrating a college graduate and his choice was Cedars. They are known for their gigantic naan bread. I thoroughly enjoyed my mango curry even though my order was last or forgotten, and others received their meals and had to wait for me, err. Others in our party who ordered butter chicken and another similar dish got their orders all mixed up regarding the spice level or felt their dish was not what they ordered. Unfortunately, they are regulars here. The waitress did procrastinate taking our orders for drinks and our meal order, and no follow up; she may have been the manager. But I guess when it gets busy that's what happens. Well, at least half of our party enjoyed their dishes.

Great Food

Excellent Madras. They get the spice right!! Most places under spice. Naan choices are great. Shish Kabob is enough for 2. Beer selection is great if they actually have it. Yogurt was outstanding. Service is a little abrupt but not a big deal. The food is just that good!

Indian Food Worth Many Return Visits

I have been making the trek up to the University District in Seattle to eat at Cedars on Brooklyn for many years and am never disappointed. The only problem -- everything is so good I always order too much! If you love naan you must go here. Their spinach and paneer naan is as big as a pizza and almost a meal in itself. The garlic naan is also delicious, but I would suggest ordering no more than one naan unless you have several hungry people in your group. I also love the cilantro and mango chutney that come with the naan at no extra charge. The tandoori chicken tikka is tender and spicy and comes with jasmine rice and a mix of flavorful vegetables. We got some yogurt with mint as a side dish to spoon over the chicken. My husband is partial to the classic curry with lamb. I was so full of chicken tikka I didn't get to try it. Also did not save room for dessert although the mango and pistachio ice cream sounded intriguing. Mainly I would like to say that with all the changes coming to Seattle I am grateful that Cedars is still there on Brooklyn and is as good as ever.

I was blown away at the prices for their lunch sandwich menu. The sandwiches were a good size. I had the falafil and it was really good.

If you want reuse sauce, I guess it's worth going maybe

By Shelby R |

First off we come in and they have no menus. We have to scan it in the server won't help you with anything because she doesn't know anything. You have to put in that you want to talk to the server on the online menu. They take forever to come if you need help. But the food came out in the timely manner. The reason I gave it two stars is because the garlic naan, some tangy sauce and the mango chutney were delicious. This pickle dish that we got was the most disgusting thing ever. I've never had pickles that were so incredibly hard. And I love pickles so it's weird when they're like rock hard. So this is where it gets disgusting. We're checking out. First off they took forever to come and check us out. Our server gives us stuff to take the bread home. Well we wanted to take the sauces home because they were basically full and well over 8 oz of each left. She comes back with a 1 oz container of each. I said I don't want to waste these. That's a waste of money and to throw them away. Stupid. She said oh no they won't get thrown away. I said wait. You reuse these. She nervously laughs and said sometimes we reuse them but not always. I must have looked horrified because I was. She quickly ran away and then came back with two more one ounce things of each. So we left with just maybe 2 oz each of each of the sauces. Hopefully they don't reuse the disgusting pickles which I'm sure they would because how would you know that somebody was reusing pickles or sauce. I would never go back there. I mean we double dipped on one of the sauces. My kids are always sick. One of you might be getting sick because I might be sick secretly. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, the water was literally placed in a window facing the front area. So like a foot away from us. I could be talking and spitting and eating and spinning my food. Sneezing and coughing into all of your guys's water that goes to your tables. Which is disgusting. It should never be that close to somebody eating. FYI yes we took the sauce home. Don't ask why...😅

Lots to choose from

I'm not a big fan of Indian cuisine, but I always find something I like here. There's something for everyone's taste and budget. Be aware that even the mild seasoning may be spicy for some.

I didn't like Indian food until I came here.

Yummy Food!

This is one the best places to eat Indian/Pakistani food in Seattle. Overall the food is pretty yummy and economical. The masala tea, Ras Malai (dessert) and Baklava are must have.

So far the best Indian restaurant I knew I knew in the U-district

Curry and rice pudding are good! Rice budding comes in larger size than any other Indian or Thai curry place. Many different choices of nam. Garlic nam is highly recommended.
