Genuine Food, Nice People, Nice Place

By AnN K |

We had appetizers one evening and returned for lunch the next day, while staying at a nearby hotel. Servers were noticeably friendly; the food is all entirely hand made in the restaurant, including the pasta, and delicious and well-priced. Good choice of wines by the glass. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the large covered patio.

GREAT HOMEMADE PASTA AND PIZZA AND OERFECT FOR A FAMILY GATHERING

By Peter L |

I had a brunch with family here and I was impressed. Granted, it was 11:00 on a Saturday morning and the place was just opening but we reserved and were greeted immediately and taken to a nice out of the way table. Cedro features wine and beer (with the addition of mimosas) as well soft drinks. The menu had good variety and something for everyone in my party of five. We ordered two pasta dishes (carbonara and lamb ragout) as well as a pizza, boneless chicken with mashed potatoes and an arugula salad. All were quite good and the pastas were prepared al dente. We also ordered several desserts which were all quite good as well ! The service was efficient and pleasant. I would give this an excellent rating as there were no real flaws anywhere to be found.

Disappointment

By macnmiles |

Unfortunately, this newer restaurant was a disappointment. Tried a few menu items..the old standby, spaghetti and meatballs is not recommended. The sauce was not the normal Italian marinara and tasted more like it was out of can. The carbonara also lacked a true Italian flavor. Atmosphere was average with small tables situated on concrete floor. Small bar and some outdoor seating.

VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE

By HARRY M |

Went here for dinner with family and it was a very good experience. We were seated promptly. The server will point out that everything is made fresh on the premises and was very informative about the selections. We had the Tagliatelle Bolognese, Orecchiette lamb and the salmon and everything was delicious. Nothing special atmosphere-wise, just good food. Decent wine & beer list. Service was very good.

Divine Pork Spaghetti Milanese

By Tracy N |

House-made pasta, a great curated wine list and friendly service — what more could you want? The pork Milanese was fantastic with a huge, tender and nicely flavored pork chop on a bed of fresh spaghetti noodles and below a healthy dollop of fresh buffalo mozzarella. Glad I stumbled unto this place!

Scratch Kitchen

By Teri S |

Homemade pasta, fresh ingredients, nice wine list! Small, casual place with a patio and great service. Will definitely come back again!

Valentine's Day

By rboykins71 |

This place was great for me and my lady friend on Valentine's Day. She is hard to please and they overwhelmed her. The food was perfect. It was prepared to our liking. This place had wonderful service.

Good Italian Spot

By William G |

Had the potato gnocchi, and it was very good. The restaurant was clean and modern. I'm not a huge fan of Italian Cuisine, but I would go back here.

Just what I needed

By GB_InTexas |

On a lazy Saturday Afternoon, I dropped by. I had business in the area, and decided to try a new place the Lakeline Mall area. Used Yelp (app) and found this place... I was not disappointed, and met James (the owner) and Arnulfo (server) who took care of me. They make their own pasta, and decided to go for the Tagliatelle Bolognese. Very nice. I highly recommend it if you like meat sauce and noodles. later I had the Pecan Tart, which it was not too sweet, and it was topped with a small scoop of ice cream. Made it all go down so well. Very nice touch. Both James and Arnulfo was attentive, they took care of their guests, and the atmosphere was casual... I appreciate them letting me sit, and update my presentations / email while passing some time... I will be back when I come by this neighborhood again.

A local breath of fresh air in northwest Austin!

By Andi S |

Out in the northwest suburbs of Austin, we have mostly chain, not many local, restaurants. So I was excited to see this interesting looking new Italian place come on the scene. I just had lunch there with some friends and we all agree, we will be coming here a lot. We ordered several different pizzas which are flatbread style with no red sauce. Instead there is a blend of three cheeses. I had the chicken pesto with arugula which I shared with my 2-year-old granddaughter. We both loved it! Some of my dining companions tried the margarita and the meatball pizzas which they also said were excellent. We also had several salads at the table. The vegetables were fresh and the lemon vinaigrette dressing was light and flavorful. The soup of the day today is a creamy butternut squash that we all sampled - very tasty and flavorful! We weren't planning on dessert but caved in when we heard the choices. We ordered a chocolate gelato that was dark, rich, and creamy and a creme brûlée which was delicious. We took a peek at the dinner menu. It looks even better than the lunch menu. Can't wait to try the figs pizza with gorgonzola cream sauce, applewood bacon, and caramelized onions. It sounds heavenly. They also have Sunday brunch from 10 am to 3 PM. Happy Hour is daily from 4:30 to 6 and ALL DAY Mondays! The cafe is nicely decorated - very modern with clean lines. There is a nice outdoor seating area next to a grassy area that buffers it from the surrounding parking lot. The waitress was new but she did a great job taking care of us and James, the owner, stopped by to chat and tell us his story. Nice to have a new family restaurant in our neighborhood. Can't wait to go back!

Great Food and Atmosphere

By RK Athey |

Cedros is tucked into a shopping center and easy to miss. It has great food and a robust wine selection for a restaurant its size. There’s plenty of room for the kids to play off the porch and it’s near the Alamo Draft house if you’re in the mood for a movie.

Hidden Gem in Far NW Austin

By Counterweight |

I recently had lunch here with my wife and young children. We were in the area and looking for Italian food, and thankfully Tripadvisor's "nearby" option guided us here. The restaurant is not easy to find, it's tucked back in a bigger commercial space along with an H.E.B. and an Alamo Drafthouse. From the outside it looks nice, inside the decor is very simple and sparse. We had a late lunch, it wasn't crowded but they still had a decent number of tables filled. We were seated promptly, and our waitress did a good job looking after us and checking in on us. They have a nice wine selection, and several decent beers on tap as well. I had the fettuccine carbonara, the home-made pasta was perfectly cooked and delicious, and the poached egg and bacon made the whole dish taste better. I ate half there and took home the rest for dinner, and it tasted just as delicious re-heated. My wife and kids are vegetarian, the menu skews carnivorous but she was happy with the arancini risotto ball she had as a starter, and said her tomato panini sandwich was also pretty good. Our kids both had the cheese pizza, it was decent and they ate it all. We all snacked on the fries that came with their pizza, and all agreed that they were very good. Prices were reasonable, especially given the portion sizes and the quality of the dishes. Parking is also easy to find and plentiful. I'm sure we'll be back again soon, either as a family or for a date night out.

Great Food and Service

By RobertWorldWanderer |

To be perfectly honest, I loved their food. Handmade Pastas, were crafted to perfection. The ambience is a bit lacking, and seems of bit contrived but I recommend sitting outside, for more atmosphere. They seem to be catering to a more sophisticated crowd, however, the simple interior decor only gave a cursory nod to that. Not that I need to have be all fancified but the attempt was made on their part. Well, the main reason I go to a restaurant is to eat, not obsess over design being way to dark. The food here is fresh, the pastas are amazing, well seasoned, and everything we sampled was delicious I will be returning here often. Location of this restaurant is like what creates the only slightly higher prices. I recommend the chianti here, it was excellent.

Excellent food in pleasant surroundings

By runner409 |

Cedro's is a small restaurant with good service and excellent cuisine. We ate outside on their patio, which was very pleasant on a spring night, though overlooking the parking lot (inevitable in this area!). Inside, a bar and tables in a warm atmosphere. A variety of good-looking menu choices. We were very pleased with the gnocchi in a rich and creamy sauce, with branzino, and the mushroom soup. Vegetarian-friendly. Looking forward to another visit and trying more dishes.

Underwhelmed

By Glitter.nomad |

Came here for NYE and the only thing that was actually well done was the focaccia and white bean spread. I got the lamb and orecchiette (their take is large floppy shells with super basic tomato ragu tasting sauce) and my date got the NYE lamb shank special which was extremely gamey, over cooked, and had the most plastic tasting risotto, with under cooked veggies, that I’ve ever had the displeasure of eating. With the rating, locale, and prices, I had expected much better.

Wonderful, Hidden Gem!

By Trish in Georgetown |

Love this Italian restaurant, with such great chef-inspired menu items. Their gnocchi is crazy good and their bolognese is the best I've ever had in a restaurant. My hubby always has to get the Braised Lamb Orecchiette because it is divine. So, I'm usually the one that tries other dishes, takes some nibbles from his dish and he from whatever dish I order. NEVER disappointed. AND the staff are wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. You NEED to go.

Luscious Brunch!

By Wendy S |

We went for brunch and were very happy we did. Hubby had pasta bolognese, which had a creaminess to it that he enjoyed. I had eggs Benedict, and the eggs were perfectly cooked so the yolk was runny but the white was solidified. Their mimosa & lemonade were both good. We loved the uncrowded patio space!

It's just good food and friendly service period!

By Dave H |

So we are staying at a hotel nearby and decided the fresh made Italian pasta sounded good. We don't eat much pasta but when we do we want really top notch stuff. You can find it in this Resturant. I had a pasta dish and my wife had the flat/bread pizza. It's definitely at the top of our favs list now. We had a late night work kind of a day the next day and decided to just do Cedro again, while they close at 10:00 pm we slid in at 9:59 and they graciously let come in and order. This time we had the salmon salad and the wild mushroom flat bread/pizza. And again it was awesome. Everyone both nights on the staff treated us like royalty! Thumbs up here for sure!!

Better than expected, Thanks!

By mikel68 |

It's not often I go somewhere and it exceeds my expectations. This day I was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I were out doing a little shopping without our kids and decided to go to the Alamo Drafthouse for a show, but the food at the Alamo's has gone downhill over the last 5 years in my opinion. So we popped into Cedro. The atmosphere is kinda plain, which is okay. I started of with a draft beer, ordered a grilled Margherita pizza and a house salad. Salad was fresh and crisp. The pizza exceeded everything I thought it was going to be. The menu is not overstuffed with a bunch of filler. However don't expect NYC pizza, this is a tad different...in a good way. Fresh mozzarella, fresh basil and skinned tomatoes with the crust not overly crisp but not soggy and floppy. Spectacular. Prices are really reasonable. We'll be back, as I kinda spied on what others were eating around the restaurant. Service was actually perfect, not a lot of small talk, not pushy but informative and pleasant. Thanks for the change from the same old, same old.

Top Notch

By Mona M |

My husband and I consider ourselves food and wine snobs and this is one of our most favorite places. It's not your normal Italian restuarant. Very unique dishes and interesting flavors. The wine menu is amazing. The food is fresh, you can tell it's made from scratch. Service is always the best and prices very reasonable for this type of food. Highly recommend. We love the patio.

The Arancini is perfection. Drop by for lunch or Happy Hour!

By glockgirl511 |

I've been coming here for years and today enjoyed lunch on the covered patio. The service is always above board and the quality of the ingredients are fresh. The Arancini Risotto had the perfect balance of creamy inside and crispy outside. I also added the Fig Pizza. These two items could feed two for lunch and at a very reasonable price if you catch it at Happy Hour. If you're staying in the area at one of the new hotels, drop by here for lunch.

Modern Italian in Cedar Park

By slowhand57 |

It had that cold Euro minimalist look which is nice and clean but ends up being noisy with nothing to soften the room. Nice patio although the view is the parking lot. We had lunch and while the service was very friendly it was what appeared to be the owner and one waiter for the whole place. I had the Pasta Salad which was good. Very fresh and a nice dressing. My friend had the meatball sub but it was dry and the meat so-so flavor wise. A small bar area too but not a big place. We might try it again for dinner. But just not traditional enough for my partner who likes old school Italian

Very Good Italian , Nice Setting

By LK R |

Food was very good, and a nice change... pasta looked and tasted home-made. Great sauces. Service is very friendly, and it's good place to take kids since it has an outdoor play area. A little higher than some, but still moderately priced for NW Austin.

Delicious gnocchi, few vegetarian options.

By Erin W |

Staying at the Aloft hotel nearby, and one of the front desk staff recommended Cedro. Had the gnocchi, which was pillowy and in a delicious tomato-based sauce. Portion size was just enough. A little pricey, but delicious. Before the main was served, I received a square of focaccia with some white bean and garlic spread. It was good too. There were surprisingly few vegetarian items on the menu. I guess this is Texas though. I ate early (before 5pm) and the service was good, food came quickly.

Cute place disappointed with food

By Martha1118 |

Place is cute, the service was slow but every one was super friendly. Decent wine selection with reasonable bottle pricing. The food was just ok, nothing great. The pasta sauce lacked flavor and it was slightly over cooked. Food is a little over priced for the quality of the food.

Amazing Homemade Itallian with Class

By Bill B |

Open minimalist environment compliments outstanding cuisine! The pasta is homemade, the selection of wines is unusual and fine, the selections wide and cater to almost any taste. I visited with my son, daughter-in-law and grandchild (4 weeks). We had dinner and were satisfied and I was amazed at the quality of the pasta. Servings are well proportioned and very satisfying. Our service was inept but eager, others seemed very well served by other servers. Nothing detracted from the experience.

Average Food, Good wine

By Shanker B |

a party of 5 went over for dinner. The place is a small cozy restaurant. They had a good wine list and we enjoyed some good wine. they have a good collection of vegetarian stuff as well. We had calamari and grilled cauliflower for appetizers - the food is just okay. The tomato basil soup was okay and the mozzarella pasta salad was also okay. Food was underwhelming.

Hair in my food

By JasonTuggle |

Ordered the calamari and picked up a piece that was attached to another piece by a piece of hair. The manager came and apologized and didn't charge for the calamari, but it's still gross. I know stuff happens but probably won't be back.

Vacation

By JanD482014 |

We ate at Cedros when the front desk staff at aloft hotel made the recommendation. The food was outstanding. Kirsten our server was friendly and accommodating. We were able to relax and enjoy our dinner with no pressure to leave. We highly recommend eating here.

Fantastic Italian cuisine!!!

By Joshua B |

Wow!!! What a fantastic meal!!! I was anticipating a standard Italian restaurant with the regular Italian food!!! I must admit....the place surprised me with FANTASTIC food!!! I had the minestrone soup as a starter, it was one of the best soups I ever had before!!! For my main dish I ordered assorted mushrooms pizza and asked the server for some onions on it. The pizza was Delicious and the Chef added caramelized onions...the pizza was fantastic and tasty!!! All the dishes that we were served were perfectly made and beautifully plated. The service was outstanding!!! Great place to enjoy a beautiful and delicious meal.

Much more than a pizzeria

By David W |

Went to Cedro's on a recent evening with my wife - one of various satisfying visits over the last year. The prices are very reasonable and all menu items we've had have been great value for money. The food as ever was very light, delicious and well presented and the staff very friendly and helpful. The decor is modern and pleasant, with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. We had two excellent flatbread pizzas (one margarita; one pork and cheese) and shared orders of very tasty beets and goat's cheese - and roasted cauliflower. The house wine was very good and reasonably priced. A strong "thumbs-up" and recommendation for those looking for a pleasant meal in the Lake Line/NW Austin area.

fine dining

By H0ward73 |

If you are looking for a newer Italian restaurant, Cedro's is the one. Their pizza (bacon and spinach) is beyond great/fabulous. It is done without the annoying sauce, and is actually better than other restaurants pizza with sauce. The bolognese also is out of sight--yes it is that good! The salads are huge and also great--as is their soups. The service is great too and the cost is not that high. Once you try this restaurant you'll be back--often.

Best Italian Food

By tomi424 |

This was my first time at Cedro's and I am thoroughly impressed. Food was awesome, you can tell the pasta was home made. I will be returning...

Food was good and Server was very friendly

By Sonal G |

We went to Cedro yesterday night for dinner. Food in general is good. I am not impressed with the bread they offer. We ordered pasta and it was ok. Fries was little bit burnt. Restraurant ambience is very pleasing. Our server was very nice. Overall a good outing.

Great service

By Nicole S |

I had a delicious meal here. We had great service and the waiter recommended the calamari the crepe brûlée. But the gnocchi was my Favorite. The ambiance was a little strange and the menu is a bit pricey, but the service was worth it and we will be back.

Light Dinner

By Omar R |

We came into this shopping center intending to go to La Madeleine, but after seeing this restaurant next door we decide to give Cedro Scratch a try. The service was about average. We ordered the Margarita Pizza, Cesar Salad & Arugula Salad. The salads were good but the pizza lacked flavor. The dough didn't appear to be made from "scratch" and didn't have pizza sauce. The Margarita pizza was basically a rectangular piece of bread with cheese on it and few sprinkles of basil... that's about it. I might try them again but I will order pasta.

Classy and Casual

By Mark T |

Love this place- a modern twist on classic Italian. Modern decor and great food. We had lunch recently and very tasty. Meatball sandwich and Grilled Chicken Pizza. Sandwich was excellent - not soggy. Sauce is a little zing but great. Pizza had a crisp crust. Light. Pizza can be ordered as a half and half with soup or salad at lunch. There is also a covered patio for open air dining or just a beverage after work. Price for lunch was very acceptable. Reservations accepted for evenings. Also, they have a nice Sunday brunch.

Way Too Noisy

By Glynis M |

A new place in town that looked fun on the advertisement. We went in the 6:00pm range. The restaurant is beautiful and somewhat industrial in the decor. We were seated immediately and a pleasant waitress joined us but she had such a strong accent we had trouble understanding her and she had to do a lot of repeating. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious - really good but by this time the restaurant was full and extremely noisy. So noisy we ate quickly and cut our dinner short. We could not even hear the person next to us. Unfortunate because the food was excellent. We'll try it again but maybe mid day away from the dinner rush.

Outstanding

By Karen D |

We didn't find Cedro's until it had been open for 5 months, what a shame. It's five months of great food. The pizzas are yummy combinations of some traditional, and some not so traditional pizza toppings. This is not your Pizza Hut pizza! My favorite I'd the bacon and fig pizza. However, what I really love is all the pasta. Most are made fresh every morning and that is something you don't get everywhere. All the sauces are extra yummy and I couldnt possibly pick one over the others as " the best" I've tried them all, and still can't decide which is my favorite. The salmon, is my favorite entre though. This is just the place NW Austin needs...not another chain, or sports bar/grill! The only down side is the volumn, the place just seams loud to me, when we first walk in.

Simply very good👍🏻

By Baba1311 |

Small Italian restaurant, nice atmosphere, friendly service. And very good food!!! Home made pasta. Highly recommended.

Excellent Italian In NW Austin - Go for the Food & Service!

By David W |

We've been to Cedro two times this month and are looking forward to coming back in the New Year. We've eaten at this modern and excellent value Italian multiple times (dinner and lunch) since it opened and have never been disappointed or had anything to complain about. Their flat bread pizza is delicious. My wife's favorite is the margherita and mine the cheese with thin sliced pork and herbs - the best pizza I've had in a long time. The appetizers are excellent too. Two of our favorites are the beets with cheese and the calamari. We always order the vegetable side of roasted cauliflower with herbs - out of this world! Earlier in the month we took out of town friends to Cedro's. They had pasta with the seafood and the salmon which they were very pleased with. The staff are very helpful and are prepared to make their different types of pasta as well as gnocchi and risotto with any of their their various toppings and sauces. For example, on my last visit I asked our very friendly and helpful waitress Paola whether instead of having the shredded braised leg of lamb sauce with regular pasta I could have it with gnocchi, and she was very happy to comply. I was not disappointed with my choice - delicious meat sauce and the gnocchi "al dente". Our son's friend, visiting from Fort Hood, who's a big fan of Italian, loved his flat bread pizza and vegetable sides. They have a good wine list - quite a few are available by the glass. The owner and manager are friendly and helpful - discreetly checking with us that we are enjoying our dining experience. The waitresses and waiters are always very pleasant, efficient and well informed, including Michelina on our visit earlier this month.

Scratch is Pasta

By Forrest L |

Dinner with 6 on Friday night and although extremely busy and a bit short handed for staff it is all about the Pasta. Obviously made from scratch in their house and worth the trip. Yes it is noisy and probably crowded most nights but the food is distinctly Italian and the best pasta one could ask for. Other dishes on the menu are also well prepared and creative. Good wine list and beer selection but no liquor to drink. If in the Austin/Cedar Park area I recommend trying Cedro.

Go to for a casual dinner with friends

By 2fridad |

For the past few visits to Austin, I end up having dinner with friends at Cedro. The food is delicious, very good quality and the service staff are warm, friendly and attentive. I've had several items from the menu and everything is good. My friends that live in Austin actually eat there routinely since it's just good food at a reasonable price with friendly service.

Tasty

By pascal F |

Good restaurant with well-seasoned pasta and good meat The arancini were also good. Good choice of beers and wines Very good service with attentive waiter

Tasty

By Rochtoga |

I selected a pasta dish with meat sauce that contained pork, chicken, and beef. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very tasty. The portion was huge and I could not finish it all which is very unusual for me. The service was excellent and professional. They also were playing some piped in great jazz music while I ate which created a nice atmosphere. The decor was nothing special, but it was ok. I would go. Ack again.

Great Italian Food! Do visit!!

By Nakstrani |

We had been eyeing Cedro for awhile and finally went there for dinner. It loved up to our expectations! Surprisingly enough it was not crowded. I put that to people not knowing about it yet. We were seated promptly and actually had choice of tables. The venue is family friendly and they do have a separate kids menu. We started off with the Malbec, Stash IPA accompanied by Oven Roasted Cauliflower Florets. For the main course we went with Potato Gnocchi & Braised Lamb Orecchiette. All their pasta is made in-house & it shows. Potato Gnocchi were probably the best I've ever had and the braised lamb was cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth good. The portion size is big so one entree can easily be shared by two adults, very comfortably. They don't have a separate dessert menu, but your server will tell you what they have for desserts. They serve all the classics. We chose to round off the evening with Tiramisu and it did not disappoint. They seem to have a good brunch menu & plenty of pizzas. We will be going back to try those out. I sincerely hope they keep up with service & the good food so it can become our 'regular' Italian restaurant.

Independent restaurant with a soul.

By Ashild |

Cedar Park, no. Austin is flooded with chain restaurants, so to find an independently owned restaurant is not easy. Cedro is one bright light in this darkness ---- the owner is there overseeing it all, the pasta and breads are all made in house in the mornings, as well as the desserts. And it shows - or should I say "tastes"! I have been at Cedro for dinner and lunch, all I have to check out is their Sunday Brunch from 10AM -3PM - the menu items for this looks wonderful, can't wait to try it out. Don't miss the fabulous Creme Brulee, made in house and with vanilla beans which made my lunch partner declare it was the best Creme Brulee she had ever had! The decor is very modern which is such a welcome relief from all the overstuffed restaurants around, the service is perfect, so go often and check out all the great food - our butternut squash soup yesterday was heavenly. Located next to the Alamo Theater and in the same building as La Madelene - but go to Cedros. You won't be sorry.

Good food, good service, very family friendly!!!!!!!

By Chepe P |

Our family ate at Cedro's last night. We needed to come up to Austin for the night for some kid sports and ACL. We stayed at a Hilton Home2Suites and they recommended Cedro's. My family visited on a Saturday night around 7 PM. Let me be brief and to the point. We had excellent service. The waiter Zie was great. The food was very good. My wife and I shared a pesto chicken pizza. Large enough for both of us to get filled up. Quite good. Wine selection was good. And we didn't know it when we ordered, but kids entrees (from kids' menu) are free with adult entree orders. That was a great surprise. I'll certainly come back to this restaurant next time we have stuff to do in north Austin. I highly recommend it based on our experience last night.

Good Food and Service in Rather Stark Setting

By docwhiteaustin |

First visit to Cedro around 6 pm on a Thursday. Seated promptly. Bit disappointed that they offer no cocktails - only wines and a few beers. Had calamari as appetizer. Very tasty and well prepared. Shared a fig, bleu cheese and carmelized onion pizza and seafood risotto. We're glad they offered a gluten free pizza crust, but it needed some work. Very cardboardy texture detracted from the delicious combination of flavors in the topping. Know gluten free crusts can be tricky, but can and should be much better than this one. Risotto was near perfect. Very creamy texture with lots of squid, salmon and some shrimp. A bit too oily, but way better than most risotto I've had around Texas. Pretty good service. Will probably try again. Location very handy to Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Lakeline area. Good Happy Hour appetizer specials; just wish they served drinks other than wine & beer. Liked the Garlic & white bean spread that came with the bread, but the bread itself was disappointing.

Homemade Pasta!!!

By Wander Woman |

Homemade Gnocchi was plump and soft and absorbed the sauce perfectly! speaking of the sauce, I could’ve just drank that the basil and plum tomatoes were outstanding. Homemade Bolognese was yummy but a little on the sweet side. Good service!

Excellent food - nice Sunday brunch

By PocketKitten |

We've been to Cedro several times for dinner and recently also tried the Sunday brunch. The food is excellent -- consistently well-prepared, fresh, and tasty. The pasta dishes are homemade - I especially like the orrecchiette. The appetizers are good also, especially when they have some marked down for happy hour. Try the dates -- surprisingly delicious! The side dishes are also very good. I'm not a fan of the bread they serve, since it is usually cool or room temperature instead of warm, but the white bean "butter" makes it all better. The service is usually very good as well. My only complaint is that the atmosphere is a bit cold -- the chairs and decor are stark, the table tops are literally cold -- so it doesn't feel welcoming. There's a section of the restaurant right by the west facing windows that really aren't suitable for dinner seating when the sun glares in. But if you have good company, the food may be worth overlooking the lack of ambiance.

Disappointed

By Robin B |

I knew this place had been in business for a while, and maybe they have a good happy hour or something, but my lunch visit was disappointing. I ordered chicken Marsala and the chicken was like a piece of rubber. Must have been microwaved. We paid extra for bread and received 2 burnt pieces of bread. I had a glass of wine which was overpriced but good, but I knew what I was getting when I ordered. I won’t go back.

great casual Italian fare

By Deb |

Always consistent casual Italian food. Bright, clean atmosphere, inside and out. Love their flat bread pizzas, calamari, great happy hour. An inviting place to enjoy good food. Been coming since it first opened 10 years ago.,

Must Go!

By Melissa W |

I was on a business trip with my male co-workers, who I was always trying to impress with my "excellent restaurant choices" So I came across this restaurant and through it out there. They were hesitant because of the location, and sort of cheesy wall sign. However, once we sat down, a great selection of wines, and our hard to impress beer connoisseur. Started with the bacon wrapped dates, and they were delicious! Next I tried the Seafood risotto and seriously one of the best dishes I've ever had. Amazing flavor, huge portion. We were all very impressed with our meals. Then we had to try desert, the Chocolate Mouse was out of this world good! And my co worker had the tiramisu. Really great place! Please check it out!m

And I Don't Like Italian All That Much

By Chad N |

My son recommended Cedro, and I'm extremely glad he did. I didn't look forward to eating there, because I don't like Italian restaurants all that much, especially when they have Pizzeria in their name. Cedro's taught.me not to judge by the name. I ordered salmon, which you are encouraged to have cooked to order. It was absolutely perfect--perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, perfectly moist, perfectly tender. It was my best yet in Austin. I ordered mine medium rare, by the way. Appetizers are incredible. We have had bacon-wrapped dates in restaurants from Chicago to Puerto Vallarta, and we always loved them, but Cedro's bacon-wrapped dates set a new standard of wonderful. Everyone in our group of five thought every part of their meals was great. An added benefit for us was an excellent quality wine at half price. You don't have to like pizza and traditional Italian food to like Cedro's, but I bet that they are excellent here too.
