We generally go to Celebration a couple of times per month for lunch on the patio. We also get to-go dinners or invite a small group and use one of their cozy private rooms.

Tones of bread- varieties of em too for free. The jalapeños muffin, dinner rolls and all sorts of bread for free. And then the lunch menu is amazing too. I ordered chicken fried chicken and you get 3 sides, 3 sides. The food made me happy and the prices is great too. It's a family friendly place and ample parking space. Definitely will go there again.

Being from out of town, we had always seen this place on Lovers Lane but had never had the chance to stop and see why it always seemed so busy. Great surprise with really fresh, outstanding food. Mostly old standard American dishes, but great seafood options, salads, etc. All tasted very fresh and homemade. Veggies served family style were also great. And a lot of bang for your buck - a bargain by Dallas standards.

Went here straight from the airport to get solid home style food!! I had the grilled trout which was seasoned perfectly! Our veggies can to the table in multiple bowls so everyone are as little or much as they wanted! The greens were very fresh and no complaints! The Mexican cornbread was fantastic! Superb service!! Was disappointed in the banana pudding—more of a “de-constructed “ version.. not what gramma would make, and the pudding tasted instant.. wish we had tried the cobbler instead! Otherwise a very enjoyable meal!!

Just landed at Dallas Love and instead of sitting in traffic, I decided to have dinner. Wow... great find! This adorable place is less than 10 mins from the airport. The service was excellent without being overbearing. The outdoor patio was an extra treat for a Northerner just bouncing into town for a quick business trip! I had the rosemary salmon with the roasted broccoli... DELICIOUS! I'd guess that most everything is pretty yummy here. I highly recommend Celebration!

Hippies from the 70's opened this small cafe cooking everything from scratch. It now takes over 3 houses and parking for 65. It is a Dallas institution, that offers a 3rd house across from the parking lot for catering..There is also a Market on Sat. They have fantastic home style salads ( don't miss the cucumber dressing) and a large assortment of entrees from meatloaf to fried chicken, chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, pork, fish, salmon, catfish, trout, pot roast. you name it and they have it.. with a few newer assorted american offerings...etc. They offer an assortment of daily vegetables, usually steamed, buttered, baked. You can get a vegetable plate and will be super happy with the dish. With their growth they have added a super nice covered patio and small outside patio next to the bar. Always a line or wait,to sit in the small rooms (bedrooms) tight fitting booths, noisy in the small rooms if full (usually full). There is a large dining room, that alas is not as tight as the small rooms.. but noisy most days. You can also sit at the bar, where the locals sit. I always request outside on the patio or on the 2nd patio by the bar entrance only 4 tables. Entirely different dining experience without all the waiters and customers and noise level..It will sometimes take longer for service, but once the food comes your set just order everything upfront and you won't need much else. Thurs. is 1/2 price wine, a Dallas secret dining savings and always packed. They offer seconds on any of the entrees and if you finish your selection you can try 2nds on another entree. No one leaves hungry, everyone will enjoy the food. Be selective where you choose to sit and you'll have a terrific time.

An older restaurant established in the 1970s. Has compartmental dining areas of different sizes. Food is fresh and locally farmed/raised, and served family style. Rainbow trout was dry; salmon was good but under seasoned and served with dry rosemary (a bit of a miss). Salad, homemade dressings and sides were very good. Servers were friendly, professional and efficient. Also has a bar. Willing to return if I'm in that part of town again.

First time here. Had Chicken Fried Steak, Fried Catfish and baked chicken. All were very good - not exceptional. Salad (family style) with separate dressings was excellent - crisp and fresh with excellent dressings. Sides (okra - very good, mac and cheese - good, squash was fair - too much tomato). Peach cobbler very good. Nice home style place. Service was excellent.

Had a chance to try-out one of the original farm to table restaurants. The meal was outstanding! Service staff were attentive and generous with their time. Great food and experience.

Reasonable prices, varied menu, delicious & adequate servings, plus seconds are offered on most items.

Loved this place! Trip Advisor comes through again! When we are out of town we Like to eat local so I read reviews like crazy. Celebration restaurant is celebrating their 50th year and you can see why when they set your food in front of you . We didn’t have a reservation but arrived when they opened for dinner at 5:30. Even though everyone else was arriving at the same time it didn’t keep our servers from being on the ball! We chose to sit outside because the weather was perfect. Hubby ordered the trout with almonds and said it was the best he had had in a long time. We each chose an entree and then you choose three sides that come out family style. Dinner begins with a bread basket with a couple regular dinner rolls, so good and soft. Also had a little blueberry muffin and a pumpkin muffin plus a jalapeño cornbread. Hard not to eat them all but thankfully the salad came out next. Farm to table really paid off here, salad seems just exceptionally fresh and good. I ordered chicken fried steak and it was so good and tender I could cut it with my fork! Cream gravy on top just made it even better. I loved it. We were too full for dessert. Our server was nice but never refilled hubby’s water. But that was minor, and wouldn’t keep us from returning next time we are in Dallas!

We visited Celebration as part of a group. We had the back room reserved. Service was awesome. Food was outstanding. I had the fried chicken. Husband had the pork and a second helping of meatloaf. Family style veggies included to die for fried okra. A bread basket was brought out was a variety of delicious breads!

We had a great time sitting outside and celebrating life with great food and service! John, our server, was excellent! Such a nice person too! We had the chicken special with okra, mashed potatoes, zucchini, and mushrooms, yum! The garden salad was excellent….You must get the house cucumber dressing! The yeast rolls were our favorite of all the unlimited breads we tried! The coconut cream pie was also awesome! Love this place! Thank you for the special night!

If you love the farm-to-table concept, you have to eat here! This is actually one of the first. Its been in Dallas since 1971. Went for lunch with my wife. It is amazing how reasonable the prices were. The chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes were absolutely out of this world. Definitely a new go-to place for us.

This is my favorite casual restaurant in Dallas - charming atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent home style food, etc. It is impossible to get a bad meal. Many recipes are from the owners mother and she was a GREAT cook. Restaurant can be very busy at times so plan your visit accordingly. Stop by the little store next door and take home some of their wonderful dips, sides and entrees. You will not be disappointed.

We always love to go to Celebration for family celebrations. Highly recommend the Jerk chicken if you like spicy food.. Walnut crusted chicken is very nice as well. If you get a salad, love the jalapeño ranch. Excellent food, even better service.

It's a different take on family style. They asked me if I wanted second servings of the soup, and the vegetables. And a second portion (of the entree) is included also. There are a couple of entree's excluded, but if you want a second portion of something else, the waiter will do it for you. I had the chicken fried steak, very good, and for my seconds, I had the meatloaf. My guest had the Salmon, and it was delish. It is priced reasonably enough that you can come on almost any occasion, which is why it sometimes is a wait to get seated. I just came before the rush. Of course I will be back, this was my 5th visit, in about 50 years. and it's ALWAYS good.

While in Dallas volunteering in a shelter for Hurricane Harvey victims a group of us went to Celebration restaurant for dinner. We chose this restaurant because it offered choices for every taste - fish, meat, vegetarian. The side you choose are family style so again we each got to choose a favorite. You can also get a second helping if you desire ! Where else can you get seconds? The food was very good, the service was good and it was quiet so we could talk to each other. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I had lunch here. It was a Saturday and since it was nice out chose to go to the outdoor patio. I read the reviews before going in and they were pretty good. Our server was the best part of the experience, he was pleasant and attentive. I got the fried chicken with jalapeno gravy, garlic mash potato and lentil soup. And my husband wanted to try the chicken and dumplings. My chicken was okay and the jalapeno gravy was average. I did like the garlic mash potato. The lentil soup was very poor- it was lentils in hot water and some onions, sort of like boiled lentils- I expected the soup to have a better consistency, not just watery. The chicken and dumplings had a serious lack of chicken and my husband was very disappointed. I guess I expected tastier comfort food for the splurge on caloric intake.

A good friend came in town from Nebraska. So we came here. The food is absolutely amazing. There was enough space for large parties or individual couples. Selections are somewhat limited.... But there's something for everyone.

I have been a regular at this establishment for 9 years. The food is just the best. I typically eat the special because I've had every menu item many times. The freshness and quality of food is unmatched.

The ambience was great. Having rooms for each group gives a lot of privacy and sense of being in a home environment. Kind of like being in your own dining space. Great service as well. Food was good. Everyone in our group loved it. Desserts were great, we chose all the 6 offered.

We went to Celebration for dinner with family during a recent trip to the Big D… venerable old school place, around for decades. The place is cool in appearance, stone building, nice outside patio! The appeal is nostalgia… not good quality food IMHO. The table ordered soup, fried chicken, fried catfish, baked chicken, grilled salmon, and a handful of sides. The lentil soup was very good, but everything else was just OK! None of the food was particularly hot, and with fried food, it’s gotta be hot! The veggie sides were warm at best… seemed most of the food was cooked in advance, which allowed for speedy delivery, but quality suffered. Desserts were also just OK, even the kids didn’t finish them. Service was great! But, beyond that, our visit was disappointing. The place had received a lot of hype from family. We don’t need to go back.

Some of us had been here before, they were well satisfied with the salmon, the fresh bread items, and the service. I had a Guiness Beef Stew which was one of two dinner specials tonight. The beef and carrots were thoroughly cooked, but I couldn't identify Guiness flavorings in a broth I found to be somewhat watery. The peach cobbler a la mode was hot, flaky and the ice cream rich. This will stay on our list of places we like to eat near Love Field in Dallas.

Wonderful menu, and great spot for lunch. A bit noisy, so ask for a quiet table if you want to talk business.

This restaurant has been serving the same style food for decades. I was impressed with the progressive menu with locally sourced veggies and grass fed beef. But all the dishes were fairly bland. Tomato sauce had no seasoning. Brussel sprouts were dry and undercooked. I will try to go just about anywhere else next time. Cornbread is really tasty.

Celebration is a good spot for a solid family-style meal with friends (yes the sides are served family style). My grilled salmon (fried okra, mashed potatoes and vegetable medley) was delicious and our group of 6 was well cared for.

One of the best reasons about moving back to Dallas was being able to enjoy eating at Celebration. I like the choice of ten sides, many of them steamed veggies. The trout and rosemary salmon are my favorites. The servers are efficient and friendly. If you have six friends, you can reserve a private room. I travel quite a bit to NYC and get to eat at many expensive restaurants--but Celebration is my all-time favorite. Oh, and the cornbread is delicious. Prices are good. Salmon with three sides is $15. On your birthday, you get to eat free!

Celebration is a cozy and unique restaurant with history! The service was excellent, and food was delicious. You get fresh bread, a starter, 3 sides to share with the table, and an entree. The flavors and options were impressive.

How did I miss experiencing Celebration for the first 5 years of my Dallas tenure? Hard to understand why it took me so long to visit, but I'm very glad I did finally. Reservations on a Saturday night for 4 persons were easy and we were promptly seated. The booths for 4 are a bit tight, so we moved to a well-spaced table inside (too cold outside). Service was immediate and almost too energetic. We were there to dine and enjoy conversation. The server seemed more interested initially in turning the table. I ordered a glass of non-descript Pinot Noir. Not really even worth $9. Given the family style approach to dining, I ordered a grilled herb spiced breast of chicken, and shared mixed veggies, fried okra and butternut squash with my friends. All delicious! The chicken was especially good, cooked to perfection and very juicy. I loved it so much that I ordered seconds, but apparently the server forgot to put in the order, because it took more than 20 minutes to get it (in contrast to only 10 minutes for the first one). By then I was full, and no longer interested in eating the second portion on site. After some reluctance from the server, a doggie bag was provided to take it home with me. In all, this is a very high value place. Prices are reasonable and I like the fact that you can get seconds on many items. Salads are served ice cold with tasty dressings on the side. I will return again -- maybe sit at their small bar next time if I'm alone. This also seems like a great place to book a private room for 6+ persons.

Well, in our case, it was so loud I could not hear the person across the table. The menu was pretty pricey given the small protein portions. There are cheap sides intended to fill you up. I won't go into the odd food combinations, so take a look at their menu before you go to this old raggedy converted house.

Great place to meet for lunch with friends. Everything on the menu sounds good. We each selected something different and we were all impressed. Everything was tasty. The cornbread & tomato bisque were fantastic. When I’m back in Dallas this place is on the top of the list to return to. The service is friendly. Outside sitting is great ( weather permitting).

We brought our in-laws with us this time. We called a day before and were able to reserve a small room for the 6 of us. All of the salad dressings we tried were very good. My wife loved the creamy cucumber and my mother-in-law loved the 1000 island. I had the rosemary salmon which was good but I liked the chicken fried chicken that I had for seconds better. My sister-in-law loved the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. Our daughter loved the grilled pork chop. It was flavorful. My wife’s favorite dish is the walnut crusted chicken. Most of the table liked the zucchini side dish. We tried the coconut cream pie and the banana pudding for dessert. Both desserts were average. Service: Our server, Herbert, was great. He was attentive and friendly. Overall: It was great. We will be back.

Celebration restaurant has been around for years. I started eating at their long closed Ft Worth location in the early 90's. loved their food. Found the Dallas location a couple years ago tucked into a neighborhood NE of Love Field. Now I make excuses to be in that area around lunch. Never sat on the patio till Friday but it is a great place to sit out and eat.

What a gem!! Trip Advisor has changed the way we dine! We landed, looked at TA and here we are. Such a unique place that I would have never found on my own. The bread basket may the best I've ever tasted. Incredible experience! Raw honey, vegan options, all local produce. Come on!! Solid.

Visiting Dallas Love you can't miss this restaurant. Nice food great service. Thanks Gulfstream people.

had dinner here one wednesday evening. very popular, interesting building with nice ambience. farm-to-table. had a salmon special. entrees come with three sides served family style. we had swiss chard, sauteed squash and black-eyed peas. I found the entrees reasonably priced. portions were not too large; but, rather just right.

After sitting on delayed and rerouted flights all day we are ready to relax with some serious comfort food, and Celebrations fit the bill precisely. We were treated like family by the restaurant staff and fellow diners and had a great experience in addition to a great meal. I don't often eat chicken fried steak, meatloaf or pot roast with a side of mashed potatoes, fried okra or giant beans cooked with bacon, but when I do this is exactly what I want those dishes to deliver.

The best in the city. Love the salad, fried chicken great, meatloaf good too. Love the fresh veggies

This was my first time to go to this kind of restaurant but I liked it. You order the meat you want and then for family bowls of vegetables you choose as a group. They also have individual orders if you like but I use to hate carrots until I went here. Their carrots are delicious! I recommend their fried chicken, even though I am not suppose to eat this, and their banana pudding is take home quality.

I've been dining here for over 30 years, but I had never tried the fried chicken, so I did this time. It had a nice crust, but the seasoning was a bit powerful for my taste. As always, the Italian salad dressing was wonderful, as were the homemade croutons. I like the idea of the bread basket more than the actual bread. I would like to see more blueberries in the blueberry muffins. The side dishes were very good and of course, you can get refills on everything-- you can't beat that! I love the ambience of this restaurant and the family style service. Our server was very friendly and eager to please. I'll continue to dine here in the years to come.

Good food as always. Laurie is the best we have been eating here for ever. Always get Jalapeño gravy with food. The jalapeño ranch is the best dressing on planet. Joe Parsons

This restaurant never fails to delight. Service is high quality. Food is fresh and tasty. Love the charm of the place. I take all our visitors there and everyone, family, friends, etc love it and ask to go again!

This place is very good, from the moment you walk in and sit down. The staff acts like family and makes you feel welcome. Now let’s talk about the food. You get an entree, salad, 3 sides and bred for an affordable price. The catfish was fresh and crispy. The beets were cooked to perfection with the right amount of fresh thyme. Okra crispy and fresh. The brisket was tender as well. Highly recommend.

Mashed potatoes, chicken and dumplings, trout almandine, biscuits. This is like a diner with a personality. Started in 1971 and still going strong with the original owner. Don't mind the number of cars in the parking lot. There is plenty of seating inside.

An old fashioned family type of restaurant with a widely varied menu. Seems to be quite busy. Server was friendly and gave good information but disappeared for a long time. Everything I had was great.

I took my wife and daughter for lunch. The chicken seemed dry even though had a sun dried tomato sauce. The vegetables were overcooked. The meatloaf had a great flavor but my okra was hard. I enjoy this place but today was not their A game.

With a reservation for a private room, a family group of ten had delicious dinners. Each diner selected an entree and all agreed on several side dishes which were served family style. Service was prompt and friendly even on such a busy evening. Drinks were refilled as soon as the beverage level decreased. Children had a special menu and were at ease in the casual environment of the room. Steaks, chicken, salmon, pot roast, even vegan meals were among the menu items we enjoyed. Mixed drinks, wine, sodas--all were available. Ending the evening, we all choose specially created desserts. A great place for family gatherings.

Since 1971 or thereabouts, this restaurant has been a local favorite. Once a house, now turned restaurant, this place serves good ole' home-style plates to warm any heart and palate. The chicken and dumplings are outstanding, as are the chicken fried steaks, chicken fried chicken, tortilla soup, green beans with sun-dried tomatoes, mashed potatoes and more. Everything served here is outstanding. Complimentary baskets of rolls and cornbread (with honey if you want) are also outstanding. The staff here is very friendly and courteous. If you come for lunch, get here early, as it gets crowded quickly! They have a nearby market where you can purchase their plates to go, or chocolate covered pecans, local honey and so much more. Reasonably priced, you won't walk away hungry. Never disappointing!

Always great friendly service. The food is very tasty and fresh. I love their jalapeño ranch. It's a great place for lunch.

This is the BEST Farm to Table restrauant I've ever eaten at. Everything we ate was wonderful. The service was great, prices of food more than reasonable. Healthy food and serving size. You will NOT be sorry you went here to eat.

There are loads of restaurants out there that will attempt to wow you with elegance, fine dining menu options, and expensive cuisines. Celebration is more like a meal at grandmother's house. REAL. It's down home meals with a local flavor. Before the term was coined, this is what I would describe as Dallas' farm to table location with a distinctive local vibe. There are all kinds of restaurants that will wow your senses, but my favorite will always be Celebration.

Can't say enough about Celebration. Great atmosphere with little nooks and lots of intimate rooms plus outdoor patio simply a prelude to amazing menu. Locally sourced healthy food with changing specials and seconds available on most things! Choices of sides are served family style. Excellent service. Can't wait to go back.

I loved this restaurant. It was my first time here. We sat on the patio. The restaurant has been open since the 1970's. The wisteria growing over the patio is very old and beautiful. They served complimentary homemade rolls, cornbread and muffins. They feature locally grown food on their menu daily depending on what is fresh from farmers they buy from. The food was really good, and the ambiance was just as good. I will be back.

The down-home cooking here is very good. All items ordered were prepared well. The corn on the cob was a real treat. Can't wait to return!

I ate here regularly in the eighties and early nineties and loved it. Their chicken fried steak is my favorite, and I was really looking forward to returning. Prepared to be disappointed given how long it's been, I was very happily surprised. It's still terrific! There's a wait, as always, but oh so very worth it. The jalapeno cornbread is just the same and delicious, as are the rolls. The family style sides are hearty and yummy, especially the brocolli and mashed potatoes with skins. But the chicken fried steak is still the very best I've had anywhere and I thoroughly enjoyed it once again. My companions enjoyed the fried chicken, which I tasted and is divine, and the bbq short ribs, also a hit. Atmosphere is the same, small rooms with only a few tables. rustic, charming, and it's so nice to see that some good things stay the same. Highly recommend if you are in Dallas.

Came here with the family after a graduation. The servers were very polite and greeted everyone. The food was really good. And it came out in “family style” so you had to share and interact with the members of your party.

Celebration is a restaurant close to Love Field in Dallas If you want nice fast and delicious food please visit this restaurant.

This restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. From the copper tables to the great wait staff I expected the food to be wonderful. And it was! The entrees were plentiful and delicious. The sides (i.e. fried okra, fried green tomato, etc) were great and the homemade cornbread was fantastic. This was a great choice and you won't be disappointed!

I have been looking forward to eating here. And the meal was every bit as good as the anticipation. Everything was tasty and well prepared. I had trout. My friends had roast beef and meat loaf. What a treat for them to have seconds. So, for those with a bigger appetite, they get their fill, too. This is "must eat there again" place.

I read all the reviews and was skeptical that the food would be bland. The reviews were wrong! The food was perfectly seasoned! Usually restaurants over salt their food. This place did not! Chicken fried steak and chicken were fantastic! Walnut crusted chicken was delicious! Try the jalapeño gravy! Yum!! Family sides were served and you get refills on them as well. I love that they are Farm to table. We were too full to even try the desserts. This my only regret. The wait was not long and I love that you they have small rooms with about 3 to 5 tables in each room. They have a patio with outdoor seating and a bar inside. We will definitely be back!

We picked friends up at the airport and wanted to eat before we left town. Of course I went to trip advisor and there was a restaurant just down the street with great reviews. You wouldn't just drive by this place and say wow let's stop there. But it's really nice inside and out. The weather was nice so we ate on the patio. The meatloaf was really good with a mushroom sauce. The baked zucchini, sweet potatoes with cranberries, strawberry salad.... All was very good. Price was mainly $12 to $16 for lunch. Service was good too.

I have enjoyed my meals here. The portions are quite adequate and at a good value compared to other restaurants. I especially like their mashed potatoes and fruit cup. The strawberry shortcake I had in early August was the best I have ever eaten.

This was our 2nd time here as my 94 year old aunt loves it. We came to visit her and took her to her favorite place. Everything was homemade and delicious. I had the walnut crusted chicken and it came with 3 sides. My aunt loves the pot roast and banana pudding. The service was wonderful and so was the food. So many great choices. Nothing better!!!!

I love love love this place. Delicious food and family style vegetables served with entrees but the best part is that they serve you "seconds." The chicken fried chicken with the jalapeño gravy is amazing as well as the walnut crusted chicken. Locally grown vegetables and wonderful quality of meat served as well. Great service. This is my new favorite spot!

I've been coming here for over ten years and I've never had a bad meal. It's always consistent with Texas home-style cooking.

This is not a chain restaurant and the parking lot is always full for a reason! It's consistently good food and there are healthy choices (or not). Your meal starts with a salad that is fresh, the plate is cold and the dressing is homemade. Their is a decent variety of entrees including southern fried chicken, chicken-fried steak, meatloaf, and pot roast. Usually a couple of seafood choices plus daily specials. The daily menu tells you which vegetable choices are local and they are served family style. The location is an old house with added rooms. There is some outdoor seating with misters or heaters depending on the season. It's a nice option for a casual and good meal in a unique setting.

We enjoyed our dinner at Celebration. Food was good and no complaints but not such that we'd go out of our way to come back. Service was friendly and attentive although the set up of the restaurant is very unusual and can make it difficult to catch a servers attention if you want them for something. .

Celebration Restaurant in Dallas offers a friendly, casual atmosphere to all diners with delicious food and a variety of "atmospheres" [private dining, large room group, or small intimate couple]. ALL their salad dressings are homemade, and the cucumber dressing is to die for! Chicken St. Caroline is 2nd to none! Their selection of complimentary breads and muffins is yummy, too! ENJOY!

We were invited to Celebration for a Nephew's rehearsal dinner. The menu had been preselected and the sides as well The room set aside for the dinner was nice but somewhat chopped up, so mingling was difficult. The meals and drink service were good but rushed. We would give the restaurant another try for regular dinner service.

The food was excellent, from the bread before the meal (variety of several types of rolls) to the family-style sides, entrees, and desserts. The serving sizes were generous without being too big. Service was attentive and accurate. There were good options for vegetarians (the vegetable lasagna, especially). It is an easy place to take a family with members who have different tastes - there is something for everyone. We would definitely go back.

Underwhelming meal all around. Service was good. Saving grace is 6.75 weller 12yr. Rice should be served on top of or under gumbo. You don’t mix it in. That said the flavor of the “soup” was good. The cornbread is pretty good as were the other baked goods. The fried chicken was nice and crispy. It wasn’t golden brown but rather, blond. But it had no flavor. The breading and meat were both lacking seasoning. I was disappointed by this. Babes and Streets are much better options. I basically came here because I heard the fried chicken was good. My mistake. The meatloaf was also average. The mushrooms sauce was weak and the tomato sauce was ok. Will stick to making it at home. Needed some seasoning. The mashed potatoes needed butter and salt. They were mediocre. At least they were made of real potatoes. The fried okra was good. No complaints there. The carrots were good as well. I enjoyed those. Had such high hopes, but this place lacked seasoning in every dish. Being able to get seconds doesn’t mean much if it isn’t flavorful enough to want seconds. Apologies for the harsh words.

Love the fresh food options and everything I've tried has been delicious. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Home cooking at its best. Loved their veggies today. We had grilled chicken breast and grilled salmon, love the bread assortment they bring to the table. We always have great service. Kale, butter beans and Mediterranean squash. Yum

Went to lunch with a group of 7. Everyone was very pleased with their meals. I had one of the lunch specials of shrimp and grits and it was wonderful. The patio was delightful and our server was wonderful. Don't miss the sides of fried okra and roasted cauliflower.

They are obviously popular - as they have had at least 2 growth extensions since first opening - and are getting ready to celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2021. The food and service tell you why. Lots of farm-to-table fresh food selections - examples include chicken fried steak, grilled catfish, broiled salmon, roast turkey, pot roast, jerk chicken. Freshly made salad dressings and sides. Their structure - due in part to their growth - also allows for naturally sectioning off areas for guests. For example, we were a party of five and had an entire small room to ourselves. Perfect for this pandemic time of social distancing. Also delicious soups and desserts as well. Great service. Plenty of parking.

I was rsearching some local restaurants to take some clients to lunch and red the reveiws on Celebration. The restaurant is a classic 70's home style restaurant that serves up some great fresh food. The chicken Fried steak was excellent as was the special of the day Shepards Pie. Main ands 3 sides was wonderful. This was whjat I would call a real find.

I was looking for a great restaurant in Dallas with a private room for our small group. The Celebration restaurant was the perfect place for our group to have its annual “celebration “! The food is amazing and is kind of “homestyle hipster!” My husband had the beef ribs and would recommend that as a must have meal! Our server was attentive to every need even with me handing out awards my team had earned from the year! I can’t wait to go back!!

In the mid-seventies, we lived in a small, country town north of Dallas. There were not a lot of nice eating places that we could afford. On several special occasions, we would drive the 35 miles to the Celebration in Dallas (in 1974 my wife and I celebrated our anniversary here). The food was great as were the prices. Over the years the number of restaurants in the northern Dallas suburbs proliferated and we stopped making the journey to the Celebration. Recently my grandson and I were in the area and stopped by to see if the place was as good as I remembered. I am glad to report it is all that I remembered. The building has changed a little. The old leather shop was remodeled to accommodate more seating. The service was just as friendly as I remembered. Our server, Jordan, was gracious to indulge an old man on this trip down memory lane.

Absolutely delicious food. Great value for the money. I love the 3 family-style vegetables everyone gets to share. And you can get more if you want at no charge. Service was exceptional. I love the small rooms that are carpeted so you can hear better. For us over 50 people, that’s super important. Love that it’s healthy free-range chicken and grass fed beef. Farm to table. Can’t wait to go back.

What a welcome atmosphere and healthy food for two weary travelers. Excellent service. Wonderful menu.

We had party of 10 for evening dinner around 8 pm. The place was a lot bigger than I thought from what it looked like on outside. If you have time call ahead for reservations. We didn't have one and only had to wait about 20 minutes. I was pleased with service even though server was sat back to back. He was not given opportunity to get much more then our order and a few other things. He did have tons of server assistance to help through out service. It was family style with bottomless and endless food. We had a variety of items so you can not go wrong ordering one item. You have option of ordering any other protein of lesser or equal price from one you start with. The biscuits and rolls were great. It was a Thursday evening and also offered half price bottles of wine! You must try this place well worth it and food is excellent!

Generous helpings, wide variety, scratch cooking, locally owned, just minutes from LOVE FIELD, DAL. Had the grilled Cajun catfish with spicy brown rice, fried okra, fresh green beans with sun dried tomatoes. Another had lemon chicken, pear and mixed greens with feta and walnuts, pinto beans and spaghetti squash. Great bread basket with jalapeno cornbread, yeast biscuits, berry muffins.

I have gone to Celebration since it originally opened. I grew up eating here. Whenever I go back to Dallas, I make a point of going to Celebration. They have wonderful vegetables that are served family style. I can’t recommend Celebration enough. It is wonderful! I have never had a bad meal there.

Excellent place for home cooked meals, I have meatloaf, mashed potatoes, with a fruit cup, and everything was truly excellent. The service was attentive and fast, the atmosphere was upscale. I will deginately come again!!

We traveled out of our way to stop by for lunch and were extremely pleased with our meal. We had the walnut crusted chicken salad and the waiter suggested that we substitute the jalapeno ranch for the regular dressing. This was one of my favorite salads ever. What impressed me the most was walking in the front door and seeing the pictures of employees who had been there more than five years, it really showed me they cared about their employees and the service reflected that. We sat on the patio and even on an extremely hot day it was very pleasant. Overall I would highly recommend.

This place has a good selection of food and very well cooked! Come hungry because if you finish your main course you can have a 2nd main course for FREE!! The rolls are excellent and sides are served family style. Good home cooking at reasonable prices!! We will for sure be back again when we are in town!!

I had not been to Celebration for many years and I remember it being very good food and reasonably priced. Had a table where people behind us in the room were talking so loud, the echo was bad. When our waiter came by he was like, you want a menu? Gave us like 2 minutes after bring water, do you know what you want? Excuse me..he acted like he was very impatient and did not care a bit about people. The bread was all cold along with the sides but chicken was greasy hot! Now the food: The quality of the green beans and carrots looked like they were out of a can and dont get me started on the lame mashed potatoes, no life in at all, who knows what they did to them in the kitchen. The fried chicken was small portions, tough/bruised and greasy! I thought that all of this meal was a mess and was not even worth the visit. Big downer!

We had two meals at Celebration during our recent Dallas visit; our host and hostess treated. One was in a private room which was very enjoyable; second was in a main dining room which was far less enjoyable as we had a noisy group of people behind us. Hard to hear conversation at our table, but that's not the restaurant's fault. Prices are very reasonable, and the food was good. Service for our private room meal was lacking. Were told when we first arrived the rolls were in over and would soon arrive; they never did. We forgot about them, and had to ask for them at the end of our meal! Two of us had the trout in brown butter sauce; the sauce had a kick to it which we didn't expect and would have preferred not to have. Salad was good but dressing a little bland as were the mashed potatoes. The friend okra and summer squash had better flavor. The second visit I had the pot roast which was very good except it would have been nice to have more than once small carrot chunk. Beef had great flavor, but the rest of the "pot" ingredients were not served with it. Mixed drink was great the first visit; second visit, had to send drink back as they used the wrong liquor. So a rather mixed experience, but, if you combine both experiences, I'd have to say good food.

Good reviews drew us here for a home styled lunch upon our arrival from airport in Dallas. We were extremely disappointed in our lunch. We arrived shortly before the lunch closing time and perhaps that is why our lunch was so poor. The bread basket was delivered with the butter packets melted. The chicken and dumplings was like eating a bowl of paste and a few pieces of chicken. We should have stopped there, but we asked our waiter about the peach cobbler and upon his recommendation we purchased two to go. More disappointment. My husband had fish and chips that were totally dried out.

Great menu with numerous choices. Always fresh food, and I appreciate that you know exactly which farms supplied the food. Portions aren't huge (read: wasteful). Service is quick and friendly. We arrived on a weekday at 12:30 and expected a big wait but it was only about 10 minutes. The place was packed but didn't ever feel like it. Would definitely recommend.

Celebration had it's usual fresh food and excellent service. The chicken tortilla soup was very filling. If you go on a Sunday as we did, try to get there right at 11:00 so there is no wait. Keep in mind you can do a call ahead to get your name on the list.

Delicious, perfectly cooked salmon, rainbow trout and catfish! Fresh vegetables that taste like they are straight out of the garden fresh! Homemade bread basket full of different types of mouth watering yummy breads, a salad fresh with crispy lettuce and vegetables (the homemade dressing is Yum!) and to top it all, desserts (wonderful) like the strawberry short cake! We are from Florida and I wish we could travel to Texas each week to eat here! When we are back in town, we will definitely be eating at Celebration! Thank you for such a wonderful meal!

Sunday lunch. Celebration remains very popular, but for us, the food just was not very good overall. We thought we'd give the place another chance, but there was no difference from a visit two years ago. Opening rolls and muffins were good. My meatloaf was good but salty, and my wife's salmon (one of the day's specials) was quite dry and quite small for $11. Our sides were mixed, with the mediterranean squash being way overcooked and the good lentils with carrots better served as a soup than a side. My dessert was good. Service was attentive. For home cooking, we'll stick with Norma's.

We visited Celebration for the first time on a Sunday evening. We were hesitant to decide on patio seating because the day had been quite warm. It turned out to be quite pleasant and comfortable on the shaded patio. Our server, Frank, was helpful and friendly. The restaurant has an interesting concept. The main entrees come with sides and seconds can be had and you can change to other choices along the way. Family style other than entrees. All four of us ordered different things --catfish, pork chops, pot roast, walnut chicken salad. We all had the same review -- OK food but not great.

Laurie is the best and food is always fresh and favorable. Had pot roast today and it's always great. Soups are very good and Salmon is great. Joe Parsons

The atmosphere at this restaurant is cozy and family style dining. Food is very tasty. Size of servings are very reasonable. Not large, not small, just the right size. Service is good. I will definitely go back!

The food was ok, just average. It was chopped up and busy... This is definitely not my atmosphere! Don't really recommend..

The best home made salad dressing in town. Great fried chicken. All their food is fresh and always good

We got there at 6:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Once we left there was a wait. Our server Frank took our order right away. I started with the pork chop. My wife started with the Chicken Caroline. The pork chop was flavorful. We ordered mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, and roasted butternut squash as our three sides served family style. My wife liked the butternut squash the best of the sides. Since they will bring seconds and thirds of an entree for you, I had the chicken fried steak which was best with the regular gravy. The chicken fried chicken was the best of the 3 entrees that I sampled. My wife liked the walnut coated chicken with honey the most. It had a great flavor. Our server, Frank, was friendly and attentive. We would definitely go back.

Great food! I had the trout, which melted in my mouth. From bread basket to dessert, this restaurant knows how to serve it up!

We have never gotten anything there that we did not just love. They offer seconds on many of their dishes for free, family style sides and salad with a bowl of crotons for you to garnish with as many as you want. :-)

This is one those explicitly "comfort-food" restaurants in the USA, the infallible indicator being that they serve meatloaf! The restaurant itself is laid out in a quirky way, with a large-ish dining room and then a lot of little rooms set up for a few parties - or even one party. It would be a good business lunch place, I would think. The jerk chicken was good - hot! Salad was nice too. Ingredients all very fresh, and the sides were very down-home. The cobbler left a bit to be desired, though; I suggest changing the recipe for something they serve further out in the Texas hinterlands. The service was pretty good, considering that the place was packed. Reservations a good idea.

I had not eaten at this long time Dallas fixture in many years. The food was good but not excellent as I remembered. I have a few suggestions for the chef and staff. First, we had to wait for a table but a booth was available quickly. The server wasn't sure if they had a "full bar" even though we had walked past it. She was sweet and maybe a bit new. She made up for it in service. We were seated in apparently the only table available since we had to wait. But, other tables were empty on our way to the corner of the back room. A very large party was right next to us and got very loud and allowed small children to run amok. We were told the party had already been there for 3 hours and we're still there when we left. It would have been better not to have seated us next to them or if a manager had asked that they keep their noise level down. Now, for the food. I would not recommend the fried okra, it's just frozen from a bag identical to any average restaurant anywhere. Below Celebrations standard! All of the other sides were excellent. I ordered the Walnut Crusted Chicken cutlet. It was supposed to have an Apricot Glaze. It came with a very stingy drizzle of glaze and with the heavy walnut crust was dry and fairly tasteless. I requested some of the jalapeño gravy and it improved my entree. My dining companions loved their entrees, the Chicken Fried Chicken with jalapeño gravy, and the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Wine prices are a bit high compared to menu food prices. I will return hoping my visit was not the norm. Celebration, up your game to the standards I remember or the next visit will be my last.

...the vittles coming, despite a M-day mob. Interesting family-style approach to vegetable sides, replenished on request. A cozy room and a round table worked very well for our group of 6 to converse and pass those veggies. Entrees were pretty good. After stuffing ourselves, we stopped at their next-door market for a beef stroganoff to-go. The cream sauce was good, but the beef was not very tender ;(

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant I live down the street and eat here often I’m always amazed at the range of food options and the organic and locally grown food and beef. lots of locally used items from farms and ranches and gardens I love the original farm to table idea! Everything is fresh and tasty and they have such a vast menu of many different options from burgers to salads to chicken salad to fruit so many dishes and wonderfully prepared . The Only complaint I have is the service is not very good... it is rarely attentive but I still enjoy going back..the Fresh basket of breads they bring with fresh butter are wonderful!! I will keep coming back here even though the service could use a little sprucing up I highly recommend this place for couples families business meetings it’s just a quaint tidy wonderful place to dine!

We were tired and did not feel like cooking but wanted a home cooked meal. We went to Celebration and had such a meal. It was great and everyone got exactly what they wanted. Front old fashion pot roast to fish. It saved us time and effort and it was delicious! Very friendly and excellent service!

Terrible! Service was bad and food was average to poor. Two men ordered pot roast. One got a large portion and the other got about a third of that portion. The vegetables tasted like frozen veggies--not fresh. The desserts were not tasty and even though we were asked if we wanted ice cream with our cobbler, we were charged an additional $2.50. Overall, poor experience with average to bad food, por service, and definitely way overpriced!

Celebrate with home cooking and daily fresh veggies. Entrees include just-like-Mom's pot roast, fried chicken & pork chops as well as seafood & chicken, salads and veggie plate. Home-style serving for dinner and lunch on Sunday is an ideal way for everyone in your party to have a say-so in what to order and then share. Vegetables are fresh from the Farmer's Market each day and are wonderful flavor. Dine outdoors or indoors-I'd recommend the larger dining area with tables, but the smaller rooms with booths are fine too. You'll enjoy your meal! And visit the Celebration Market just across the parking lot from the restaurant. Its showcase has much of what you can order in the restaurant plus homemade salsa & guacamole-better than any Mexican restaurant. Great way to take a meal or two home!

We celebrated our aunt's 104th birthday there over the weekend. We had chicken fried chicken and vegetable lasagna. Very tasty. The sides are served family style. Best squash I have ever eaten. Wonderful green beans. Fresh and crisp salad. Their peach cobbler is outstanding. This was our first time there. But we will definitely be back!!!

Meals were excellent and love the homestyle way of sharing the sides. Ate so many fried green tomatoes I should be green! Yum yum!

I've been going to celebration since I was a child. It's an institution in Dallas and for good reason. Simple wholesome southern meals can be had or if you want to treat yourself to something naughty they have that too. I rarely eat chicken fried steak... but occasionally why not. When I was pregnant I couldn't get enough of the beef stew.

Excellent food and service. Not the easiest place to find, and it's crowded for lunch. Still, in total, it was a pleasant experience.

I took my mom to this restaurant for her birthday with family. I reserved a room for a party of 12 and they told me ahead of time there would be a 20% gratuity added. Our waiter (I think his name was Ramiro) was very attentive to our needs and he was very kind to us. We had a choice of 3 vegetables and they were served family style. The main dish was individual. My mom got the chicken fried chicken and she said that it tasted like Cracker Barrel (she likes Cracker Barrel). I got the salmon and it was cooked just right. Someone ordered a meat dish and complained that it was not seasoned well enough. One of the kids ordered spaghetti and she had 2 helpings (some if not all of the main dishes have free seconds). Most of our party seemed to enjoy the food, but I agree that the zucchini, too, could have used more spice.

Great food, great service. Lots of variety of fresh made foods. Very good, lots of very good sides. Good sized salad for side and good large salads.

Very good food. Always perfect as is the best waitress (Laurie)!!!! We always eat the specials, Salmon is great. Try the chicken gumbo.

Pumpkin roll are the Best. I have been dining here for about 5 years. Great food and service. The owner sometimes visit the tables.

This was my third visit to the Celebration Restaurant over a period of 3 years. Food is great. I had the fried angus steak which they call, Chicken Fried Steak", which had a great flavor but was not as tender as I would have liked. Service was timely and our server was knowledgeable and pleasant. The restaurant is unique in that we sat at a table in a small room with three other tables....it was nice. There are other larger areas to dine if one desires. I have had their meatloaf in the past and remember it as being great. It's just a nice restaurant.

Took friends to Celebration last night for dinner. The chicken fried chicken is excellent as always. The pot roast is not what it used to be, even the carrots are cut differently. The chicken st Caroline is consistently delicious. The bread basket is good, however the butter was liquid. The air condition was poor in the restaurant so we were sweating while eating. Overall, it's good home cooking but the ownership needs to make some upgrades, they are clearly making money hand over fist.

Celebration has been in business for 46 years! I stumbled across this Lovers Lane gem looking for a restaurant convenient to Love Field. And I love the underlying principles of Celebration – local farm-to-table ingredients served up Southern style in dishes your Grandma might have made. Casual, comfortable environment just like Grandma’s too. We selected beef stew and meatloaf from the daily specials menu. Keep in mind that quality ingredients aren’t cheap. Our tab for the 3 of us (including round of drinks, desserts, and tip) was $90. We enjoyed our dinner and would come again if we are in this part of town.

That should tell you something. Always enjoy it when I go. Had lunch there today. I had the chicken special and my wife had the chicken and dumplings. Both were very good. Waitress was friendly and kept our glasses full. It's what I would describe as comfort food and the atmosphere is casual.

I've been to Celebration several times now and I just don't get the appeal - the food is mediocre at best - I've tried something different every time in the hopes of finding something good and clearly I'm picking the wrong items because so far, I can't seem to find anything that I would recommend - I find the food to be bland and just not that good - on my last visit, I thought that I had picked a safe option - a sandwich - but when the sandwich is made with a heel - yes, you read that correct, one half of the sandwich was the heel of the bread - it was so tough, I had trouble cutting it much less chewing it so I just left it and ate the sandwich without the bread - I'm just not sure that it's worth going back

This was a great restaurant! The food was delicious and our service was great. I had the special - meatballs over spaghetti squash with marinara sauce and my husband had the salmon. We chose mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and red beans and rice as our vegetables and enjoyed them all. Their homemade salad dressing and bread offerings were outstanding and our waiter gave us some extra muffins to take to our hotel for breakfast. We couldn't believe that you could also ask for seconds of your main course - as if you could possibly eat more! It is also impressive that they use a lot of locally sourced products. We were in Dallas for work and recommended this restaurant to our friends who have lived there over a year as a place they need to go to eat!

The restaurant opens at 11:30 AM. We were there when it opened an were seated promptly. The place filled up almost immediately and there was a waiting line. The service was first class. The restaurant was broken up into what were a lot of almost private rooms. The atmosphere was very nice. This would be a five except that it is a little noisy. My brisket was excellent and my wife's catfish was also delicious. The sides that they offer with each entree are extensive and excellent. As I indicated abov

I have been enjoying dinners at Celebration for 30+ years. Since they have a new set of veggies each day, I call ahead and ask the daily selection. I just make sure most of the selections are ones my family likes. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. Even their first course salad is worthy of seconds. At dinner, salad and veggies are served family style. If you need more, they bring you more. Their basket of muffins, cornbread and dinner rolls are great too. I can’t pick a favorite entree as we love them all. We drive over from Fort Worth (45 min drive) to celebrate at Celebration. It’s just so, so good.

Great Place to go with Family and Friends! You Share Vegetables at your Table 3 different and get as much as you can eat! Also you choose a Meat and seconds on that choic no charge! Very cool place! Also a Market next door part of there services! Only open ofr Dinner and Lunch

This place is a must if you are in Dallas! I recommend it to a lot of folks based on my time there! Top notch homemade meals and a unique atmosphere! They let you try pretty much anything you want to try and every single thing was good to me! Staff was extremely pleasant and we had a great time with a group of 8. We had to wait for just a bit but there is a reason it is so busy...because its great!! Can't wait to go back soon!!

This is a restaurant you want to keep in mind. It is able to accommodate almost any need within reason. Large to small groups and individuals will find Celebration an inviting and comfortable place. We have been here more than once for rehearsal dinners and for lunch or dinner for two. The food and the service is always good and the price is reasonable. Good selection of craft beer and wine.

It seems everyone is jumping on the farm-to-market bandwagon so we figured we would try one of the originals. The outside of the restaurant is interesting, inviting and clean. The inside looks like it has been updated from a 60’s era house and has smaller rooms so we expected a quiet dining experience but sound seems to just echo so it actually gets loud. The menu is interesting and has a eat-until-you’re-full concept which is great if you’re hungry or want to try a couple entrees. The sides are served family-style so you pick 3 to share. The service was a bit abrupt but I’m not going to fault the entire restaurant over 1 server. However, of the 3 sides we tried, only 1 was particularly good. Of the bread selection served, the cornbread was some of the worst I’ve ever eaten. I didn’t know you could mess up cornbread like that. The 4 entrees we tried were under seasoned and over cooked. It may have just been a bad night but typically something stands out as the quality that you would expect from a highly rated restaurant, but nothing really did. I wonder if maybe they’re resting on their laurels at this point.

This hidden jewel is to die for. Mr. Jack himself seated us and made wonderful conversation with my granddaughter. The food is locally produced, and you can tell. The flavors of these dishes are phenomenal! Casual dress and family make this a great place to go!!

Really enjoyed the restaurant...great gluten free fare and others...great side dishes,. Tasted like home...good fish.. wonderful corn bread. U won't be disappointed!

I have been coming to Celebration for as long as I can remember. My parents & grandparents have been taking me since I was little and the food hasn't disappointed once. The food is so fresh and delicious. I am a fan of the chicken fried chicken and rarely get anything else. The salads are amazing - and their dressings are so good, all homemade.. ranch and cucumber are my favorites! The sides are served family style and you can get as many refills as you want. You can also get seconds on your main entree. All of this for about $14 a plate is great in my opinion. Just visit, you won't be disappointed :)

everything here is fresh and home made. they use many local suppliers and offer a variety of fresh vegetables on the menu as well as fresh made desserts!

Delicious food and decent prices with friendly wait staff. Nice atmosphere for family and friends. Will definitely be back.

After reading the reviews we wanted to come here and were surprised to see all the cars in the lot. We thought there would be a long wait but the restaurant is large and we got seated in about two minutes. Our server was friendly and explained the menu to us when we had questions. We loved the family style vegetable options and the fact that you could get refills on many of the food items. The serving sizes were great for us, not too much food. And you could get more if you wanted but there was no food wasted this way. I had the meatloaf which was delicious. My husband had the tenderloin and we both really enjoyed our meals. The peach cobbler was warm and delicious for dessert. We plan to come here again when we are in the Dallas area. It's close to Love Field if you fly in or out there.

Made my third visit to Celebration this year as part of a monthly get-together of friends. Celebration has been a Dallas institution for over 40 years and has always been an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Fresh, home-made, healthy "comfort" food like meat loaf, pot roast, and their salads are also excellent. Probably my favorite restaurant in Dallas. Friendly service from the minute you walk in the door, lots of seating for all types of groups. Started out in old residence and has grown over the years to a rambling building made up from 3 old homes? Highly recommended.

I've had the fried fish at lunch and the meatloaf at dinner. I love their mimosas! Veggies at dinner served family style.

Everything ordered at our table was delicious! Jamaican jerk chicken, pecan crusted chicken, almond rainbow trout, and pecan crusted chicken salad. Sides were wonderful and hot and you get seconds on most entrees and all sides. We had mashed potatoes, fried okra and squash medley-all delicious. Sorry I can’t review desserts; we were stuffed!

last-minute choice for lunch. I had a turkey club, no cheese no sprouts. Oddly it was served with tortilla chips and salsa. The sandwich was actually quite good and I enjoyed it. Hubby had the grilled pork chop with mashed potatoes and roasted beets. They were also.

The food is fresh, the selections change daily according to what is local and in-season, and the atmosphere is calm. I love the fresh taste and the fact I can hear my companions speak. It tastes like food Homemade with love.

I enjoyed my meal here. Chicken fried chicken with jalapeño gravy was delicious. The portions were fair and at a good value compared to other restaurants. I especially like their mashed potatoes and street corn. I'd choose Celebration again.

This place is the best!! Great food, service& atmosphere. Quality local products! A must in the area. Down home goodness.

This is basically an "all you can eat" restaurant with excellent food and good table service. I chose the pork tenderloin and it was very flavorful with a raspberry sauce. All the guests agree on three delicious side dishes, which are served (and prepared) family-style and refilled as needed. My wife thought she was ordering chicken salad; it was actually a large salad with sliced chicken breast on top, which she said was delicious. Another in our group ordered meat loaf which looked wonderful. The waiter brought him a second helping. The atmosphere was very homey, like a neighborhood cafe and the waitstaff were professional and helpful. There is nothing not to like about Celebration!

Food and servers excellent. We were seated quickly. We chose our food and we were served in a normal time. We were both pleased with the taste of our food. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Dallas.

We took a chance just by trusting the reviews. We will come back every time we are in town!!!! You will not be disappointed.

We waited in the bar for table. The beer comes with in a frozen glass. The crown and Diet Coke is a better deal. We had chicken fried steak and a grilled pork chop. The grilled pork chop was flavorful. I asked for an additional serving of chicken fried steak. I had a serving of Henry’s Ice Cream for dessert.

Celebration just celebrated its 50th anniversary. I first ate here in 1973, and it is amazing how they still deliver. They were farm-to-table before that term was invented. Everything is fresh, well prepared and plentiful. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity.

Perfect spot for a New Year's Day dinner. If you're looking for black-eyed peas and cabbage, this is a great spot. This was our first time to Celebration, and we came specifically for the sides, but our dinner was really good. Peach cobbler dessert a la mode was also a treat. We'll be back.

Saturday night. Celebration is a super place to take a large family group for a meal. They have multiple large rooms that separate you from other groups. The family-style food service is also great. Our server was very attentive at just the right times. Other than the free rolls and muffins, the food just isn't that good. My rainbow trout was very salty and swimming in butter. Other entrees were average. Sides were average also. If you need to take a party of 10 somewhere for dinner, definitely consider Celebration.

My wife and I were in Dallas for the NRA convention and were looking for a place that was quiet, relaxing, reasonably priced, and had good food. We found all this at Celebration. No TV's or raucous music. We had fabulous gumbo for an appetizer and excellent brisket for our entree. The sides were delicious (loved having choices) , and we were pleasantly surprised when our server offered us "seconds" on the sides! The wine was very good and fairly priced. We barely had room for dessert but did manage to finish a delicious banana pudding. Celebration is proof that you can have a very pleasurable dining experience without having to take out a second mortgage. Kudos to the whole crew at Celebration.

This restaurant is one of my absolute favorite places to eat. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Their creamy cucumber dressing is so yummy. They purchase the vegetables each day at the local farmer's market and you get to choose 3 of the selections for your table. There are free refills on the vegetables too. The entree selections are great and this place offers a great value for your money. The bread basket has some great offerings including 2 kinds of mini muffins, unbelievable cornbread and rolls. If you are still hungry after all of that on most entrees they offer free seconds if the same entree or a lesser priced entree.

Food always good. Love the fried chicken, Salman great. Homemade salad dressings . Service very good. Love the mashed potatoes . Will go back.

Good comfort good done well for the Mercedes Benz crowd. The sides are fantastic; our group had the roasted beets, steamed broccoli, sweet potatoes, and black-eyed peas, all spiced and seasoned to perfection. The chicken fried steak was excellent as was the walnut-crusted chicken. The fried chicken and chicken and dumplings were good, but quite frankly, you'll find better around town. The atmosphere is homey, with many rooms and several outdoor patios to make this busy restaurant seem cozy and quaint in spite of the large number of patrons. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Dinner, not lunch, is served family style, with community sides and second helpings for most items (no doggie bags, of course, except on firsts).

This is a great spot for a locally sourced, delicious meal with lots of menu options in Dallas. It’s worth a stop if you’re visiting from out of town and looking for a family friendly, reasonably priced, unique dining experience. Celebration has been a local favorite for years, and we love trying the specials as well as eating from their standard menu. Their salads are always fresh, the tea is strong and fresh brewed, and there is a good selection of entrees providing choices for everyone. The restaurant itself is quaint with photos on the walls depicting various stages of their history. There a little mini dining rooms with several booths and tables as they have had several space add-ons over the years. Definitely recommend stopping here if you haven’t already!

We went for Valentines Day and my wife and daughter had the special ribeye steak that they both loved. It was flavorful and cooked just the way they ordered it. The salad was crisp. My wife likes the cucumber ranch dressing. For sides, we liked the mash potatoes, broccoli, and Brussels sprout. I had the fried catfish first. I tried chicken fried chicken and the fried chicken. I liked the catfish the best of the three. It had the most flavor. Our server, Veronica, was great. She was friendly and helpful.

The food was very good. We had a starter, main corse dessert and a glass of wine for 2 people and it was only $65. Service was also quick and attentive. Wait for inside was 30 minutes, but we sat right down outside.

Celebration is a great place with a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy an excellent meal. A colleague introduced me to this establishment ... And I'm glad he did. The restaurant is laid out like a house with varying sized rooms containing one to many tables for its customers. My preference is to sit and enjoy dinner at the bar while enjoying a game on the big screen. John the bartender is very welcoming and provides amazing service. Each night there are two special entrees to complement the balance of the menu that caters to all tastes. Along with each entry you can choose one starter and two sides all for an amazing modest price. To add to this, seconds are free. If you have any room left ... They have a pastry chef that makes amazing desserts. Try the peach cobbler or chocolate mousse ... You won't be disappointed !!!

Hubby & I had supper on a Fri. night with another couple. This is a great Texas spot to take family & friends! Got there about 6 with no wait. We did have a bit of a wait with service but once we were tended to, was better. Food was outstanding! Salad, as always was fresh & beautiful. Blue cheese dressing is our favorite but friends were big fans of the honey mustard (with a kick). Pumpkin muffins were delicious but try & not overindulge as you will want to save room for main course. Fried catfish & fried chicken were perfectly fried & moist/juicy! Friends very much enjoyed roast beef & chicken Caroline. Squash & mashed potatoes were yummy. Some veggies are often a bit undercooked (collards, cabbage, broccoli) for my taste but always fresh & tasty. They have been the original farm to table concept since the 70's. My husband & I have been coming here since our first date over 40 yrs ago & this establishment has held a lot of wonderful memories for our family. A heartfelt thanks to Ed & his team for their dedication to maintaining excellent quality & keeping it real!

I dined with friends for dinner on Sunday 11/13. We arrived at 6:30 and were seated immediately. Unfortunately, we were seated in the same large upper room, all the way in the back. Same location as my last visit which was terrible as far as atmosphere. The lighting is too bright and the room sounds cavernous. On this visit, it was a bit warm even with the fans on and a cool evening outdoors. I wish we had requested an outdoor table. The table location was just as irritatingly loud as the last visit a couple of months before. The service and food were both good. I chose the Jamaican Jerk Chicken. It was spicy but had a great flavor and cooked just right. My companions chose Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken Fried Chicken and said both were very good. The Mexican cornbread was excellent! Our sides were broccoli-great! Garlic Mashed Potatoes, good taste but a bit dry and the Fried Okra which was tasty but average. Sometimes I wonder if restaurants want the atmosphere to be a bit irritating so diners don't linger too long, freeing up tables faster. I will return but request to be seated outside or in a small room.

The food at this restaurant is always excellent. You need to go hungry. You get a salad or soup, a meat and vegetables. Most of the meats you can ask for seconds. The pot roast and meatloaf are great. Tonight I had a special-blackened salmon with a mango and avocado sauce. It was wonderful. Bread is served before the meal and is a variety. The peach cobbler is so good. The staff are all friendly.

Went there for the first time. It was ok, more of an all you can eat blackeyed pea. Since we don't eat a lot, it was kind of a waste of money. The service and prices were fair for what was offered. Food was ok. Just not our type of place, but unique enough I'm glad we tried it. If your looking for that all you can eat "down home cookin" it's certainly worth a try.

One of my favorite Dallas restaurants, this place has it all! Their small room feel dining areas makes it the perfect place to meet people and talk. They feature local, hormone free proteins and healthy sides! You will never go away hungry and their prices are reasonable. This was our favorite Dallas restaurant 30 years ago when we lived here and it is still great today! Come!!

Near place. Friendly atmosphere. I had the salmon with veggies. Very tasty. I liked the basket of breads -- a nice touch. Reasonably priced. Excellent service. I walked out after dining with a full stomach and a big smile.

Been there like 3 times recently. Service and food great. Quiet cozy tables all over restaurant to enjoy great home cooked meals. Enjoy the brisket and chicken dishes. Also meat loaf. All great with many wonderful sides to choose from. All food 12 stars.
Just fantastic. This is my definition of wonderful American food.
So this was my 2nd visit to Celebration, and again, I was blown away. I travel quite a bit for my job, and I eat a ton of different places around the country. Both of my visits to Celebration have resulted in absolutely fantastic dinners -- some of the best I've had ANYWHERE. The food is basic, but so well executed that I can find no faults. This time around I had chopped steak, fried okra, squash, and a salad. On paper, it sounds boring. But the preparation of each piece is wonderful, that it ends up being absolutely great. And to top it all off, they'll bring you seconds of many of the entrees. My meal was under $30. I can't say enough good things. If you're in Dallas, you need to give this a try.
