Very friendly bar with a wide variety of visitors. I would recommend sitting at the bar and starting a conversation with the bar tenders. They can carry can engage to create a nice conversation. Crystal is a wonderful bar keep that can be a joy to be around. Business travel is an adventure!

We were spending the night before an international flight. Food was good and service was good. Drinks were expensive as was the food.

I ate there twice during my stay and the foo was great and the servers attentive and friendly. Pricey of course, since it's in a hotel.

This was my first visit at Champions. My first impression of the restaurant was that it was clean. I was curious about the place after viewing it on the internet. Our waitress was nice and attentive. It didn't take too long for our food to arrive. It was more food than I thought it would be. Our waitress validated our parking pass with no problem. The $19.00 parking fee is kinda steep. I would eat at this restaurant again.

We had lunch on a nice fall day outside on Thanksgiving Day after picking up my daughter at ATL. We had the Steak sandwich. Poached Pear salad with grilled salmon. Sweet Potato Fries also. Meal was excellent. Steven was excellent waiter. Great quiet location door being by airport.

If you're staying out here by the airport, there is really NO where else around. So, considering you have NO other options it's okay. Actually, another option would be to get back on the tram and go back to the airport - that might actually be better.....can't believe I just said that!

This is a decient restaurant but remember it is the only one in the hotel. Service was OK but very slow. Food is OK but nothing to right Home about. All in all this restaurant does a good job and meets your needs.

Breakfast was amazing! Nachos were very good. Cheesecake is to die for. Big enough for 3 people. Staff is the bomb! Shout out to Sheryl! Best server in the world.

A coworker and I went to the restaurant bar and no one waited on us for 30 minutes. We were wanting dinner and drinks but the wait staff did not care about us. No one checked on us and we ended up ordering pizza and having it delivered to the hotel. I recommend going here if you want to be ignored.

Though a little spicy, the chicken stack was delicious after a day of traveling. Two juicy filets topped a bed of green beans, fingerling potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and kalamata olives sauteed in lemon butter and parsley. It was late when we arrived, but service by Glossi was courteous.

Stayed at Marriott Gateway and needed a convienant dinner for ten 12 year old girls. We all had the buffet and I think everyone found something to their liking. I believe the price was $18 for adult and a discounted price for 12 and under. Salad bar was good and there was fish, bbq chicken, and salisbury steak. Vegetables and desert bar. Service was very good.

Everything and i mean everything is so delicious ! the cooks really and truly know what they are doing .. The servers could be more attentive but over all my experience was great.

I had a couple of drinks, an appetizer, and then took some food up to my room while staying at the Marriott. It's a fun restaurant since there are a lot of people coming and going because of the airport hotel location. It has a very modern feel, and the staff are friendly and fun. The menu has a good selection of healthy choices, bar food, and nicer entrees. I really enjoyed the humus plate I had along with a couple of drinks. I took a garden salad with steak up to my room for dinner and it was great. The steak was cooked perfectly, and had a great flavor. Give this place a try - it's a good place to eat.

We had a layover at ATL Hartsfield and caught the airport train to the convention center / Marriott Hotel. The Champions Restaurant has a great, really great Caesar Salmon Salad ($16) that was excellent! and if you know airport food it is very hard to find anything of quality for that price. I highly recommend that you take the skytrain and try it if you have a layover. I only wish that service was as attentive as the food was good.

For an airport hotel restaurant, this one is great. The quality of the food was surprisingly very good. The server was super friendly and attentive.

We ate here one night while traveling. Food and beer was good and it was close to our hotel. Outside seating was available.

Located within the airport Marriott - Champions offers a nice menu with a large variety. The cheeseburger is a top choice. Many more options including fine dinning. Friendly service with a decent value.

Late night quick dinner. Stopped in and had a bowl of soup and a beer. Service was quick at the bar. Food was good. This location is attached to the Marriott Gateway.

Very conveniently located. Fast great service. Food was substandard. Salty food and old garlic bread. We told th server that the food was salty and they took it off the bill. Will not return. Better order Uber eats.

I ate in the bar area and was pleased with my meal. My server was great and she even recommended a great local beer that I enjoyed. I ordered Nachos as my meal, and they were average. Nothing to complain about, but I have had better. Overall good experience.

Most airport hotels do not have a decent restaurant and bar. This was both. It was a bit loud, but the service was good and the drinks and food made for a nice evening.

Almost positively the worst meal I have had in 20 years. The wings tasted like they just dumped a bunch of Texas Pete on them before bringing them out after reheating them. The burger was hardly cooked and tasted like the top of the onion powder fell off during seasoning but they kept going anyways. Asked for silverware and the table next to us had to share an extra set they had because all the waitress brought us was cocktail napkins. Embarrassing to be a part of Atlanta. I don’t know that I have very just paid my bill and left without complaining because it was so bad I knew there was no point.

Nice place with good food options. Especially the onion soup was excellent. Unfortunately not all staff was friendly as expected for such a place. A Starbucks espresso as dessert is a nice bonus.

Ordered sweet potato fries, got regular instead and that was after a bit of an argument...not good. The fries were cold and seemed like made many hours ago. Pricey, but then expected better service that what I did in this class of hotel.

It was clearly a busy night so I was understanding about it taking a while to get seated and getting an order in, but the staff were extremely inattentive. The whole experience was chaotic and I was very disappointed. The person who seated me asked if I wanted a hightop which I agreed to and then started walking off to another table without saying anything to me because she wanted me to be seated at another. Said nothing after that and just walked away. Took awhile for another staff who was actually the bartender to come with a water. I asked her for my food order right away so I could get it in right away after yet another person brought it to my table. I went half an hour (most of which with an empty glass) waiting for a waitress to ask for a refill. Ended up having to go to the bar myself to ask. I had to flag down a different waitress to ask her for my tab and she returned a receipt without my card. At some point she gave my card to the bartender to run. The bartender was extremely sweet about the mix up, but i was so frustrated at this point I couldn’t even respond to her. I understand they may have had a crazy night, but again was very very disappointed.

After spending three full days at GWCC for cheersport we arrived back at the hotel between 10 & 11 every night we were starving and exhausted! The first night we went down stairs to eat, the service was a little slow but the food was wonderful! The second night we called and ordered ahead, it took about 30 mins but to be able to eat in bed was worth every minute waiting! And the last night we ran down and placed an order and only waited a short time. Again the food was amazing! The hours of the restaurant are perfect for guest and the food is amazing! We will absolutely eat there the next time we stay

Had to eat a late dinner here do to a long layover. Was pleasantly surprised at both the service and the food. Both were great.

Grabbed late lunch here upon my arrival to hotel across street. Ate at bar and was greeted by very pleasant bartender. Attentive to my needs but not overbearing. Food was hot and quickly prepared. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Champion's -- a part of the Marriott Airport Gateway hotel -- is sports-themed with multiple flat screens showing various sporting events (I got to see the Patriots first pre-season game there which pleased me enormously for some reason -- probably because I was the only one interested in it). The food was pretty good as well; I started off with their she-crab soup which was hot and peppery, thick with crab meat, almost like a gumbo. For the main entree, I went for their fried chicken dinner which came with collard greens and corn bread. The chicken was piping hot with a thin crispy batter; I had a thigh and wings portion and while good, I wish the portions were a little larger. The collard greens were great, plenty of flavor with lots of bacon and ham bits. The corn bread was crumbly with a touch of sweetness. I enjoyed the meal -- especially since the Pats won!

Here on business. Hate not doing what I want but a great place nice staff great food ( I love. This kind of food ) all was well

Best breakfast buffet!! Made to order omelettes, applewood bacon, cheesy hash browns, etc. Lunch was great as well. Salad was fresh and perfectly portioned.

Has my late dinner there and was surprised that most food was still available. Plenty of TV there covering sports. Food was good and price was reasonable.

This Resturant was recommended by local hotel. It was extremely cold inside given the weather was in mid 70's and serve was slow given the place was not crowded for a Wednesday evening. I ordered a chicken sandwich which was recommended by the waitress, it was not seasoned well and dry, I could only eat half. Next time I'll try something else/ but I would visit again, nice atmosphere.

We ate at this restaurant due to Cheer competition. The menu is limited but we eateries was limited in the area. They need to provide more variety.

I considered going out to eat, but after an all day flight decided to eat at Champions located in the Atlanta Marriott Gateway Hotel where I had just checked in. I ordered the "House smoked BBQ ribs" and am glad I did. It was a healthy portion of meaty ribs with excellent flavor. The meat easily came off the bone. The slaw that came with it was tasty and well-seasoned. I substituted a fully-loaded baked potato for the fries and it was also very good. Based on the ribs, I would recommend this restaurant. They also have a local beer on tap, for those who like micro brews.

The staff was attentive and the food was very good. Good sized portions and very tasty. The beer selection was good and the overall vibe was very upbeat.

The title says it all. The food was good - no complaints there. The staff was surly and s-l-o-w. They were ill equipped to handle any special requests and became grumpy when we politely asked multiple times for things we'd already requested. The food was very slow to arrive, but again, the quality and taste were not a problem.

We were late coming in and this was one of the only things open near the hotel. Normally I would be wary but this one knocked it out of the park for us. They were prompt and courteous. Things were clean. Food was amazing. Service was spectacular!!! I’m so sorry I didn’t get our servers name as we were exhausted but she anticipated every need before we asked. Would definitely recommend and will go back!!

Due to flight delays I was forced to over night at a nearby Marriot. Champions was open late and serving food and drink, I had the steak sandwich with a couple of local drafts, the steak sandwich really hit the spot.

This establishment is typical of any restaurant located in a hotel. The food was OK, the service very good. No dish stood out, and the price was a bit high. The bacon cheeseburger was very good, but coupled with an iced tea and 20% gratuity was $23. Ouch !

It seemed like a good idea to stop in for something to eat and drink before our flight. Our hostess was very nice but our server was unresponsive and extremely slow. We were unable to finish our meal because flies kept landing on our food. We complained and were only offered a 10% discount. We will not be returning.

I am a professional photographer and I was shooting pre-wedding hair and makeup on the bride and family this past weekend. I ordered a take-out salad and hummus for myself and the hair and makeup person. It was average food, average waitstaff who helped me and way too expensive for what we received. I can't say the food was anything more than average, but the price was way above average.

Yummy turkey burger with sweet potato fries on the side. The lemonade was NOT freshly squeezed 😟 It was about 2215 when I was seated and they were still quite busy. The busman was very attentive and helpful, much more so than the waitress! All in all a nice late night place to grab a meal if you get in to ATL on a late flight.

Most places serve frozen turkey burger patties that lack taste. Champions turkey burger was very good, seasoned well and the additions made it all the better, including the steak fries!

I was by myself. The restaurant was about 2/3 full. I was met and seated relatively quickly. My waitress was prompt and took my drink order. I ordered a soup appetizer and ribeye steak, medium-well. My waitress returned to say the soup was sold out, so I changed it to a Jambalaya. The Jambalaya came in an acceptable amount of time; not quickly but not long. It was surprisingly good. The steak, on the other hand, took almost an hour and half. The waitress kept apologizing but there was no excuse, the place wasn't even full. To top it off, it was one of the worst steaks I've ever had. Not only was it a poor cut of meat, very tough, but it was cooked very well done to almost charcoal. The waitress, who knew I waited forever and was unsatisfied, didn't offer anything for the poor service except the check and a smile.I was tired and not in the mood to bring it up, so I paid my bill and left - very unhappy.

Not bad for an airport hotel location. Bar type of food and sometimes very noisy but better than driving around looking for food.

My husband and I always stay at the Springhill Suites and dine at Champions every time we fly somewhere. We never enjoy the food much but the convenience was nice... until we ordered to go. We were told 20 minutes before food was ready, and after waiting for 1 hour, asked to cancel our order. The waitress handed us the ticket and said she had not yet entered our order, but the hostess kept telling us it was almost done, even said she saw the burgers cooking!!! All the time they knew they had never entered the order.. Will never go back. They never even apologized.

We stopped in for a couple drinks before dinner and the staff was wonderful! And this bar really gets crazy busy...

Simple, tasty bar food. Good beer selection and excellent service. Pretty standard for hotel lobby. .

A complete waste of time at a place that has no interest in customer service. We were left waiting for a regular (not tall seat) table with plenty available in a section they closed for their convenience - and note that to get food to tables involved servers to walk right through that closed section Having waited far too long, we just left A win for the staff who don’t care

Really, really good smoked ribs, a very nice surprise. The She crab soup is excellent also. Decent environment, loud but not terrible. Wait staff was super nice and accommodating.

This is one of the restaurants near the Gateway hotels by the airport. It is walking distance to all three Marriott hotels. This is a sports bar with good food and a good selection of beers. The local craft beer on the menu is Sweetwater. They were out of many of the drafts that we wanted to sample. We already had most of these in Charleston so we chose the 23 ounce Sam Adams seasonal beer. The entire place has televisions all around with various games on at the same time. There was golf, football and baseball on where we were seated. The seating is very comfortable. There are couch style areas with large pillows as well as regular table seating. There is also an area where a larger group can eat. Our server was Rhonda and she did a great job. She was friendly and answered our questions about the menu items. I ordered the Smokey Joe's Pork BBQ sandwich which came with slaw on the side and I added fries. The description says to ask for extra napkins. My husband ordered the Philly Cheesesteak which comes on an amoroso bun. He got onion rings with his sandwich. The food came out in a timely fashion considering the crowd in the restaurant. The Pork BBQ sandwich was delicious. It was piled high with pork and the BBQ sauce was sweeter, not spicy, just as Rhonda had described it. The fries were hot and crispy. The slaw was also very good. I was glad that they didn't slop it on top of the sandwich. The Philly Cheesesteak was also delicious. It's one of my husband's favorites and he enjoyed this one. The onion rings were hot and very large. He also enjoyed those. The place has is well staffed and gets a lot of traffic since it's one of the only restaurants in walking distance to these three hotels. Overall, this was a very good meal and we enjoyed watching the baseball game while we were there.

When staying at the Atlanta Gateway Marriott hotel we ate dinner at Champions. Well worth every penny. The New York Strip Steak & Crab Soup is OFF THE CHARTS>

I ate at Champions a few nights during my stay. The bar service was pretty good, with a few minor lapses. The Club Sandwich is a very good traditional club sandwich, one of the best I have had in a long time. The onion rings tasted great but were a bit greasy. The grilled chicken sandwich was also good but almost impossible to eat as a sandwich. It was just too much stuff on one bun. I had it with French fries, which were nice and crispy.

We eat here at least a few times a year as we pass through going to the Caribbean. We stay at the Marriott so it's convenient if we don't want to rent a car to venture into the city. Since our stay in July 2015 we have noticed some great improvements in not only the food but the service. Good job Champions! We actually ate here twice this month while passing through and had the same sampler tray both times and both times it was really darn good. Service was great as well.

Good food, great service! Keith was kind and very attentive. He always delivered a fresh glass of tea to the table in absolute perfect timing.

Two drinks each, $144. Not high end spirits. Two glasses of Chardonnay. Two double Johnny Walker Blacks. That was it. I have drank in the most expensive restaurants in the world and never - literally never - charged that much for house Chardonnay and Johnnie Walker Black. Why? Simple. Anti-White Racism. The staff chose to target us because we are White. There is literally no other explanation.

The restraint was totally in the weeds and 9PM. 60 minute wait and NO takeout available. Semi rude hostess. We ate in the Marriott lobby with a friendly staff and decent service.

The She-crab soup. All I can say is it is the best I have EVER had. I am going to ask for the recipe. I will crave it from now until the end of my time on this earth. I rarely come to Atlanta but will try to come more often just for this soup!

Be sure to order the grilled wings instead of the fried. I had the med buffalo sauce with them. You get a dozen for just 12.00 and bet on this filling you up so don't get anything else like a side salad unless you are really hungry. Service wise this place is good and attentive.

Good food and good service. My wife and I ate there after we checked into the hotel. We both had sandwiches that were very good.

Didn't feel like getting out so tried this hotel restaurant. She-crab soup was pretty good, as were the sweet potato fries. After I bit into the sandwich I ordered, I realized it was fish, not the chicken I'd ordered. The waitress offered to replace it, but since my friends were almost finished, I declined. I like fish, but it was not very good so I didn't eat more than a bite. Still got charged. One companion said his ribeye was one of the worst he'd ever eaten, although my other companion liked the ribs. You could probably have a better meal elsewhere.

We visited this restaurant based off the high recommendations. Everything we had from their Home run Sampler & Lemon pepper wings, turkey burger, & salmon ceasar salad...was good! It's all your sports bar eats, if you're in the mood for it & want good food! My boys loved the sampler platter. They bring it out to you in a tower form...my boys had to disassemble it to get to it! LOL

The steak and Ribs were like full of fat. Considering the very prices I would expect better cuts of meats.

The food here is awful. It seemed as if everything was prepared by a toaster oven. The buffalo wings were slathered with some hot sauce. Nothing special. The spring rolls were tasteless. The flatbread was just melted cheese on a crust. The service was as bad as the food.

Karla was a gem, she's a keeper, if you must have a hostess, they can all learn from her. I am coming back for another hug from her. Quintin the server was great, friendly and personable. We had the buffet there each morning and the staff was great, my only complaint is, I couldn't keep eating more.

I landed into Atlanta at 11:30 PM. My plane had been delayed flying into ATL. No airport food vendors were open. By the time I got to my airport hotel it was midnight. I went across the street to Champion restaurant to get some food. I hadn’t eaten for hours. Their grill closed at midnight. But Shewit Tesfay, server asked her manager Stephen Sumter what to do as I was tired and desperate . Stephen was so generous and helpful! He asked the cooks and they made me some great food. I am so grateful for Shewit and Stephen’s kindness!!! I ordered the chicken wings and a chocolate milkshake. They were very good. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area.

I had a turkey club sandwich for lunch. It was great. Next morning had breakfast buffet and it was incredible. Fresh omelet and egg station with fresh made Belgian waffles, huge fruit selection and wide variety of breakfast items.

Just stopped into Champions due to ease (hotel restaurant), and was outrageously surprised at the service and food I was given! Ordered a blackened salmon over Caesar Salad. The blackened seasoning was one of the Best, if not the Best, I have ever tasted. Hats off to the Chef who has mastered the delicious combination of just the right spice to go with a crisp, cool Caesar. So very pleasantly surprised! Service was outstanding as well. My waitress was superb and no less than two additional Managers/Wait Staff stopped by to make sure everything was OK. Extremely impressed and will recommend to anyone passing thru ATL! Thank you, Champions, for a wonderful meal and experience!

On a recent stay at the hotel I had dinner and breakfast at this restaurant. The food was just OK at dinner I had nachos and chicken fingers and the cost was over $35 plus the tip. They were just so so and in my opinion way overpriced for what we got. Breakfast was $20 per person for the buffet. Now the buffet had a great selection but should have been priced more like $12 a head. This hotel is more set up for the business traveler with a nice big expense account than a normal traveler.

Looking at the menu, you can tell this restaurant is a steak house, but it has a lot of options. The staff is very friendly, and the restaurantant is beautiful. However, the food is nothing spectacular. Neither my wife nor daughter eat red meat (so a steak house was probably not the best option), but they saw many other things on the menu that looked like they would be good. My daughter had the lobster bisque, and she said it was nothing special, but not horrible. But my wife got something off the seafood side of the menu which was recommended to her. It was grilled shrimp with asparagus speared through it, and comes sitting on top of toast. Weird combination right? It had absolutely zero flavor. The other bad part was that my wife ordered a simple house white wine. Looking for something cheap, but the “average” wine was way above (cost wise) what she was thinking. My wife did complain about her meal and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I’m not sure how the steak is, but if you do not eat red meat you should probably not go here as they are probably known for steak and not for seafood.

When recently staying at the Gateway Marriott, we opted to dine in house as there aren't a lot of choices close by the hotel as well as it was on the later side. A restaurant/bar combo located just off the lobby was the perfect ending to a long travel day. The hostess gave us the choice of sitting on either side, so we opted for the bar, which had multiple tables, TV screens and looked to be a little more lively than the restaurant a that time. The service was great, the food very good and even though the y have a captive audience with the hotel guests, it would be worth it to dine there when not staying there.

The breakfast buffet was a great deal. The service was great. There was sooo many options to choose from to start you day off right!

You can always count on Champions to be there when you go to a Marriott! Actually I have no clue if that’s true for every Marriott but in this case it was! We were stranded in Atlanta after a long day of travel from Cancun and we visited Champions after we checked into the hotel for a beer. I actually got a cider $9 (canned but it’s fine!) they have some draft beers too! I tried the She Crab soup $14 which was very tasty but it does get salty after a while but there was a decent amount of crab in there! Our server was very sweet and personable. Everyone seemed very pleasant including the hostess.

We had a meeting nearby and stopped in for a bite. You can park yourself or have a valet park your car. There is a parking cost. The restaurant is attached to the Marriott. The lobby and restaurant have modern decor and are well maintained. The restaurant was not packed at this time (11am-12am) we walked in and were seated right away. Friendly staff. My husband ordered the salad w spinach and customized a few things w no problems. The chicken was real grilled chicken instead of frozen and had great flavor. I got the buffalo salad...it was well mixed with dressing and was perfect. We enjoyed our meals very much.

Met with family for lunch and was very pleased with the service and food. My burger was one of the best i've had in a while and was charcoal broiled which was a pleasant surprise. I definitely will be back.

So I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised to find this place after a long day of travel. Super convenient to the airport, excellent service, and flavorful American cuisine (and vegan options), you can't go wrong! Well done

Our waitress was amazing to start. Portions are huge but it’s a bit pricey. Nice ambiance and their Mac n cheese was yum yum!

Been coming to the ATL for years and always made arrangements to stay at the Marriott or close by just to check out Champions....food is ALWAYS on point and service just as good. Drinks are decent though lil up in price depending on what you order but hey. Will keep returning till I see no reason not to.

I wish more hotels had restaurants like this. It's just a good laid back place to get good food that's bad for you. Onion rings. Sliders. Steak. Wings. Cheesecake. Everything is good, completely un-pretentious and reasonably priced.

Nice ambiance. Friendly service. My wife ordered a specific wine. The server neglected to inform her that they had substituted her order for another wine. A tad disingenuous. The food was good. Chicken, salads, sliders ... all excellent. Their $7.00 22 oz draft beers were a sweet deal. Would go back in a flash.

Great selection to choose from as you experience the sights ands sounds of the sporting events that surround your dining area.

This was our second time having dinner here and the food and service was excellent. The atmosphere is very casual. It's not a huge menu, but everything we've tried so far was very, very good. If you're staying at the Marriott or Springhill Suites, it's a short walk to Champions.

This Champions location is adjacent to the Georgia International Convention Center. You would THINK they would be accustomed to groups of people arriving for a dinner break during the week. When our group of three arrived to be seated, even though we could see many empty tables, we were told there would be a wait. The hostess first said 10 minutes, then changed her mind and said 20 minutes. The reason given was that they had very few servers and a lot of tickets in the kitchen. We waited for a good bit before a server arrived at our table. We ordered food at the same time we ordered drinks. 20+ minutes later we asked if we could have our drinks -- about 10 minutes later our server brought them. After about 45 minutes we asked if our food would be out soon. He said he would check. 15 minutes later, he had not returned -- so we left hungry. Now, what made this even worse was that another group of three two tables over sat down well after we did. They were waited on (by another server) right away. They had drinks while we still waited. And they had their food and were done and had their check before we left. Ridiculous and extremely poor service. This restaurant is part of a Marriott Hotel that is at the convention center. I would avoid at all costs!

Food is good, the seafood bisque is good. The service is super slow. Hey management “THE MONEY IS IN THE DRINKS”. Get it while they are there. Took an average time of 8 minutes to get my beers. Ordered twice. Once 7 and one 8 minutes. A person in our party ordered an old fashion............... 11minutes 12 sec. I count 7 open tables and 2 bar stools.

We recently ate at Champions on our layovers (to/from travels) and liked it both times. Food and service were good. Lots of TV's with all the sports you want to watch. Decent bar. If you want a quieter scene, there are tables on the back side of the bar that are really nice. They also had outdoor seating that was pleasant in the evening.

You are kind of captive as this is the only restaurant for the Marriott. Good thing the food is pretty good. The personnel were attentive and pleasant. Fairly decent options for a hotel restaurant also. Prices are reasonable for a hotel restaurant.

Upon walking in, staff was extremely friendly, place is clean, menu not huge but something for everyone. We received a free sample of the tomato bisque and man is it good. Shrimp po boy and brisket grilled cheese were good. Drinks good. Good choice not driving to a chain restaurant.

The food is disgusting. I have ordered Salmon for dinner and it was spoiled and cooked on a dirty grill. At breakfast fruits have hair sticking. I don't recommend it for any body. Will not come back.

Needed a quick bite before flight. Had Chicken and Shrimp Fettucine. It was average and service was "ok"

Really enjoyed the beers available on draft. Not to many local beers but a nice selection of familiars. Food: had a wonderful pear salad with lots of blue cheese chunks and sweet candied pecans, great vinaigrette. Nice surprise considering the location/options near these 2 Atlanta airport hotels.

Better than bar food. Nice appearance. Service was outstanding! Nice selection of food, I had a good salad, husband had wings and burger which were very good too. Our server found a random can of coke zero (not on menu) for us!

Granted I only got an appetizer and a side so I really can't review a real menu item. But what I did get was good. the server was excellent and quick so no complaints there.

Just a short walk from our hotel. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Numerous TV's carrying various sporting events (nb Champions). Upon entry you have a choice for seating - bar area or dining room. Dining room is much quieter. Okay menu. Good beer selection. Orders of Wings, Caesar salad, and Onion rings. If you like Onion rings, these are a must. Caesar salad was excellent. Service was great until he had another table. Apparently, that table involved our server in lengthy conversations to the point of impacting our service. Hopefully, as he becomes more experienced, he'll blend his personality with his performance.

Great restaurant on site. Crab soup is stellar!! Ate here for 4 days, I wish the place was around the corner from my house! Star Server: Lynette

Staying at the hotel across the street, this restaurant was convenient for a quick dinner. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. The choice of menu items is really limited, but the food is good. For a "beer garden and patio" the choice of the beer available is rather poor. Most of the beers on the list have not been available. However, as we did not know them and did not know what to order, our server just offered us to try some, which was great (and earned her a generous tip).

Second time eating in the restaurant.... Very pleasant seating areas.... screens around the room and bar area for those following sports or news... Food excellent.... serving staff courteous and friendly.... Would highly recommend

We stayed at the Marriott for a few days and tried Champions, there really isn't anything else in the area. The service was spotty, the food was alright although not always served promptly, so it wasn't as hot as I would have liked. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't rush to go back.

Stayed at the Renaissance Hotel across the street the night prior to flying out of Hartsfield. Just wanted something for dinner that was simple, casual, with good service and at a reasonable cost. Champions checked off all of these boxes. First off our server Brittany was friendly, efficient and on her game. My wife and I both ordered French Onion soup, a Caesar salad and a glass of wine. I added chicken to my salad. The meals were brought out efficiently and both were very good. The Caesar had more chicken then I had ever received before on a salad.. Total bill before gratuity was $46. Great value!!

I had no other options because this is a gateway center choice located inside the Marriott. I was surprised that the food was tasty, so I wasn't disappointed. I ordered from my room and the young lady who answered had a strong, so it was really hard to understand what she was saying, but other than that everything else was u to my standard. By the way, I had the seafood pasta and it was great.

Service catastrophic, food OK, atmosphere sterile, prices steep. I won't go here anymore, it's not enjoyable!!

Clean, open dining area with TVs strategically placed. Good pub food and extremely friendly waitstaff made this a very good experience.

I had my daughter's birthday gathering here and the staff was absolutely superb with helping me make this occasion enjoyable. The food that I ordered was place on the table at the precise time that I requested and the waiter, Quentin Outlaw, went above and beyond providing additional decorations along with what I had. Everything was on point and it was such a great event. I ordered several items that included assorted wings, chicken fingers, two large salad bowls, celery and carrots, and in lieu of French fries, they prepared a nice bowl of fruit. I could not have asked for a better waiter as he was the best. He did everything to make this birthday special. If you ever get a chance to visit this restaurant, ask for Quintin, and you will be more than pleased. What a great and enthusiastic waiter!

Ate breakfast here while staying at the Marriott for the Expo next door. The breakfast buffet had a very large offering of breakfast foods and a omelet bar was also included with the buffet. My waitress was Taffy and she is awesome! I looked forward to seeing her ever morning.

We arrived at Champions for dinner on Monday evening after a long flight. The hostess set us down and we waited, and waited, and waited. It took about 30 minutes to get anyone to come to our table. Funny thing was, many servers were standing around having conversations with each other and there weren't many people in the restaurant. I wonder what it would have been like had it been busy? After taking our drink orders it took about 5 minutes for them to be delivered. We placed our food order, received it in about the normal time for a restaurant of this type and one of our sauces was incorrect. We had to get up and go to the service area to get someone to get the right sauce. After eating about one half of our meal I ran out of sauce and my drink, but no one came along to ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything. Finally one of the waitresses came past and I had asked her for another sauce. She passed again after about 5 minutes and said it was on its way. Some of our other friends came by and we were in conversation for quite some time and I still hadn't received my sauce. I'd say it was about 15 minutes at which time out of frustration I got up, went to the hostess and asked her for a sauce and another refill on my soda. I don't know if they feel because they are the only game in the area they can settle on this type of service or what, but if I have a choice there place would be the last place I'd go to.

Being forced to stay the night in Atlanta, I stayed at the hotel across the street and since they have no food service except breakfast, I walked over to this restaurant. I chose to sit at the bar at a table for two. It was full of people but was waited on in a timely fashion. The wait staff was excellent. The Arugola salad was fantastic and paired with a glass of red wine, I was in heaven. Ended up being quite an entertaining night as there was a big convention going on so I was not seated very long by myself before being invited to join another table so I didn't have to eat alone.

Dinner over two nights was very satisfying. The menu has options from burgers to steak which satisfy most. The wait staff was very polite, but clearly a bit overwhelmed.

This is billed as a sports bar restaurant and while there is a side to the restaurant that has a bunch of TV screens, we sat off to the side in an area that was actually rather quiet. The food was great. I had a Cajun chicken shrimp fettuccine and my wife had a tuna steak. Wine selection by the glass was decent and not overly priced, average around $10-11 a glass. Our service was very good, not exceptional but very good. Our waitress could have been a bit more attentive to when we were ready for our second glass of wine but this was minor when considering the overall experience. Total bill including 4 glasses of wine for 2 people plus tax was just over $100. Would definitely eat here again.

I typically loathe hotel restaurants especially the Champions brand in high end Marriotts but necessity had me seated there for dinner. The menu was extensive - something for everyone. draft beer selection wasn't bad. Service was very good on a very busy night.

I was tired from a long day at a conference so I opted to place a to go order. The cheeseburger sliders were good, but no condiments are included unless you specifically asked for them. The nachos were also good, but I paid extra to have grilled chicken added to mine and they left it off. Because of the condiments and the chicken being left off, I advise people to check their to go order before leaving the restaurant.

We ate both dinner and breakfast at Champions. Both meals were very good and the service was excellent.

That's right, take your time to get to your flight at the worlds most busiest airport. Breakfast is always good here.

Been here many times. Sometimes good service, sometimes bad. Tonight was bad. I sat down in the bar area, by-passing the receptionist, as I have been instructed in the past. My waitress didn’t like that. Then she asked to run my credit card before ordering - never happened to me before! Not a good start. Notwithstanding that, the food, as almost always, was good. I had shecrab soup and a baked potato. Cheap - $11 total. Since the bar itself is good and the food was good and the service, other than the insults, was adequate, I actually tipped her my usual 20% and felt good about it. Why be mad?

We were on a one night layover in ATL, staying at the Marriott Renaissance. Stopped in here for a quick dinner. It was like 7:45 pm and the place was slightly more than half full but they reported a 30 minute wait. Not 5 minutes later, we were seated, which we thought was great - until we experienced the slowest service we’ve had in a really long time. Our waitress would forget something (like lemon for the tea, plates for the app, refills for our drinks, salt and pepper, mayo for the burger). Every return trip took at least 5-10 minutes. Too bad because the food was pretty decent and priced reasonably!! Cannot recommend this place.

Good place for dinner after your work day. Full menu with standard foods for a sports bar. Lots of TVs and staff are nice and attentive. Highly recommend if staying in the area.

Lunch at a hotel restaurant can sometimes be bland, but not here! I ordered a "safe" steak sandwich and was rewarded with a very tasty meal. The sauteed onions and peppers made the steak flavor stand out. Well done!

I am staying at the hotel and stopped in for an early dinner. The hostess and server were delightful, and my salmon salad was exceptionally good. The restaurant is a bit noisy. People's conversations seemed to echo.

Was staying at the Marriott and decided to go to Champions for dinner. Had the fried wings. They were very good and tasty. Although I got the hottest available, they were not that bad. Excellent service as well.

Last night we spent a nice meal at 9:30 pm. We were surprised at how everything was perfectly prepared. Dramika was so attentive to our requests and needs. My husband and daughter ordered the fish of the day, I ordered the arugula caprese salad. The halibut was cooked to perfection and my caprese was fresh and flavorful.

Food and service was good, relaxing dinner didn't have to fight traffic on a Friday evening and wait for a table.

First, there are two reasons for the 4 rating vs. 5. There was a couple of large groups at the hotel during my stay. During dinner, they were so loud I could not hear my server. They were literally yelling across the restaurant at each other, and from the bar into the restaurant. It was clear that they were happy to see each other, but they were quite obnoxious and rude and negatively impacted mine and others dining experience. Second reason is that my favorite and always anticipated "she crab soup" was lukewarm. Now, The evening hostess is great. Although I had to wait the first night, she kept me updated on what was going on. The second night, it was so loud once again that she helped me with ordering my food to go. Unfortunately I cannot recall her name and I believe my server was Avis. My apologies to them if this is not correct but I was so distracted by the noise I failed to write their names down. Meal 1 in restaurant - she crab soup, grilled fish sandwich and cocktail. Kudos to the chef, server, and bar. Even with the crowd, food arrived quickly and fresh (except soup) Meal 2 in restaurant - breakfast buffet. Always a winner and great servers. Meal 3 - ordered to go: chicken sliders and chicken wings. Food was hot and fresh even when we got to our room and got settled. Champions is not a bad choice when staying at the hotel. Menu has quite the variety.

We came in to have dinner and watch some hockey playoffs. The ambience was good. Our servers were adequate. There was supposed to be validated parking but that did not work properly as we drove out and we had to go back in to work it out. The food was OK, and drinks were very overpriced.

Darn, I wish I had taken a picture of this remarkable rib-eye stake! We ordered in much anticipation and man, were we disappointed! One third was pure unadulterated fat, one third bone, and the rest meat nicely woven with gristle - an all-inclusive rib-eye! We told our waitress know and her answer was, "oh really? Can I get you anything else - tea, coffee?" A few minutes later the restaurant manager came by asking how everything was completely uninformed and totally unaware of what he was walking into. Well, we let him know too and his response was just as customer-friendly as the last one. And we promptly received our bill for which I left $0 tips with zero guilt. Well, what would one expect from an airport hotel? But wait! This is a Marriott hotel not just any hotel and there used to be an implied guarantee and reliable quality. What's happening?

Had a wonderful dinner, the food was well prepared and delicious. The morning breakfast buffet with a great omelet bar is outstanding. Will certainly eat here again.

Stayed across the street but thought we would get a good burger and a beer on tap Here's what we got: Taps broken, then I order a beer on the menu only to be brought a completely different one. When I asked I was told they have none closest he could get, charged me anyway!!! Missing big screen Tv ceiling lights out of order Food was not great and way over priced. Expected a lot more!!!!

Inside the new Marriott hotel. Had Chicken Flatbread & BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich w/ onion rings & cole slaw. The bread was good, substituted BBQ for the spicier sauce. The pork was also very good w/ many thick onion rings. Large full bar, plenty of seating.

We recently enjoyed both dinner and then breakfast the next morning at Champions at the Marriott Gateway Hotel. The dinner menu provides a variety of great foods to satisfy most any craving that you may have. Also if you want to keep up with any sports activities there are plenty of TVs to go around. They do offer a breakfast buffet which is what we all took advantage of and the guys ate until they were stuffed like a turkey at Thanksgiving. They have an omelet station where you can have eggs prepared to your liking. The buffet offers bacon, sausage, taters, pancakes, waffles, biscuits, sausage gravy, selection of bread for toasting, and muffins to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Nothing fancy the food was ok. if you have no options this restaurant will do. Having a pretty decent side salad at 4 dollars was a good deal to me.

We were given a voucher for free breakfast, otherwise we wouldn't have eaten there. They have an omelet bar, along with a lot of breakfast choices.

The Strauss burger was good, the sweet potato fries were tasty. Because it is steps from the Airport Marriott Gateway Hotel is probably why it is a little pricey.

Had both breakfast and dinner here and food was good and service was exceptional. All employees were just amazing and helpful. Only downside was I noticed the drinks at the bar were rather weak.

The wings were very meaty and the bbq sauce plenty and mouth watering. The local beer was extremely tasty! The chicken tenders were just ok. Service started out slow but we had a waiter change midway through and it got much better. Seats comfy. We would eat here again if given the opportunity.

My wife and I were in the area for a conference and staying at the Spring Hills Suites across the street. After the conference we visited Champions. They have a great beer selection and a varied menu. We chose the Minor League Sampler. Wings, sliders, cheese fries, and onion rings. While not the best option for the waistline, it was very good and we could not finish it. The staff was very cordial and management was very visable and made a couple of visits to our table. They have plenty of televisions to view and the facility was very clean. A little pricier than other options in the area but well worth the price.

This is the only restaurant at the hotel. The ribs I had were small compared to most other places I have been to. There was a lot of fat and grissel. They were burned, with very dry, leathery meat. Minimal about of sauce. Thankfully I had a salad, so I had something to eat. Avoid at all cost.

It's an airport hotel restaurant. I think that's says it all. The reason for my 4 star rating - the staff are all super friendly. The food, well . . . It's a great gastropub menu that fails in the execution. However, if you find yourself stuck in the Atlanta airport and need a hotel that has a place to eat on the premises- there are far worse places you could choose. My selections stayed on the plant side - with a Ceasar salad - sans the protein. It was good, but just not memorable. The French fries - a person needs at least three servings of French fries per week (it's medically proven ;-) - they're the big steak fries. Good, but a bit too potatoey (if that's a word). The best part of the experience? The employees. Honestly, the staff are just so sweet and helpful.

Our food was delicious!! I was actually shocked at the portions because most places are being skimpy with their servings. My friend said the shrimp tacos were great (they were stuffed with shrimp), the salmon salmon salad was really good as well. The size of the salmon wasn’t big but it was thick and it more than made up for the size. The Asian wings were really good too, we didn’t use one drop of the ranch dressing because the wings tasted so good. We even had the nerve to order the soft pretzel! It was still warm and it came with cheese sauce and mustard. Everything we ate was a hit! This was her 2nd time here and my 1st, I would definitely return here. Thomas was our server; he was polite, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive.

After close to 24hrs of airport transit, my intention was to find a nice Sports bar in ATL where I can relax with my brother, have a meal and watch with most anticipation, the World Cup finals. When contacted, the seemingly more popular spots were either booked or already at capacity. However, we realized Champions Sports Bar was just two miles away. As such, at approximately 9:30am, we chanced the drive. Firstly, it was quite odd that a Sports bar would open at 11am on Sunday 18th Dec 2022; when the 'World Cup Final' aired live at at 10am. We were not aware however until we arrived. Notwithstanding such, the lovely staff at the Marriott Hotel lobby, which was adjacent to the Champions Sports bar, understanding our predicament, switched the station at the hotel's lobby bar television to facilitate viewing of the game, even though said bar was closed at the time. Considering that one entry of the Champion Sports Bar was adjacently joining the Marriott Hotel lobby, my brother and I proceeded to the Sports bar at half time. However, the Champions Sports bar didn't appear to be open at exactly 11am, and also, to our surprise, not one of the television screens in the Sports Bar was airing the World Cup finals. The staff further didn't seem to be aware that the game was live. We kindly enquired if it was possible to switch the station to the World Cup Finals, and the waiter attending to my brother and I tried to assist by communicating to what appeared to be a 'Supervisor' or 'Manager'. It was evident rather early however that the Supervisor was not pleased with our request. The body language observed was not one of a person attempting to be helpful or facilitating. Additionally, there was no communication from this Supervisor as to the progress being made, and my brother constantly left his seat to enquire with her. She did not appear to be pleased with him enquiring. The Supervisor claimed that she could not find the station showing the match initially, and when she eventually found it, she advised that there was a problem with the audio. She appeared quite complacent and content listening to music through the audio instead. Needless to say, we missed part of the second half of what has now been deemed the greatest World Cup ever. At that point, whilst we were baffled that a Sports Bar couldn't facilitate such a request, which by virtue of the service provided is fundamental; we were careful not to cast aspersions against her; rather kept our thoughts about observation of the service to ourselves. By that time, we had already ordered and received food and drinks. Considering such, we opted to remain, whilst watching the match without audio. Ironically, at one point the audio in the Sports bar which had remained playing music, we assume inadvertently switched off; and the audio of the match from the prior mentioned adjacent Hotel lobby bar was then heard significantly clearly within the Sports bar. We were at last able to connect sound with the match. The Supervisor however reverted to the music within a few minutes instead of simply allowing us to listen via the Hotel lobby. It was at that point, we were absolutely sure that we were correct about her attitude. We ate the tasteless food halfway, paid and proceed back to the Marriott Hotel Lobby bar where quite a few persons gathered to watch the 'World Cup Finals' even though there was Champions Sports Bar next door. This had to be one of the worst food bar industry services experienced by myself.

Stoped in for a quick bite of supper, We were seated quickly and or server was well informed, knew the menu and offered suggestions. The food was very good not what you would expect from a airport bar. worth a try when you are near

Attached to the Marriott right off the airport train. There is a bar side and restaurant side. Expect to pay airport prices. Most everything was 15-40 dollars. Go for the chicken BBQ flat bread. Best bang for the buck. Good size and good flavor. No military discount.

The food is OK at best, as we needed food after an early start in UK and then a 9 hour flight. It served its purpose. This was near to our hotel. Service was friendly, but we wouldn’t eat here again if we staying any longer.

Don't do it! Expensive, slow, order wrong...wow...i Don't ordinarily write these reviews, but I am next door ordering a salad. Sad part is, we had to beg for everything! EVEN THE BILL! sadly... we paid it.... Don't fall into the trap i did, they take customers for granted here.

Food is great. However the service was not. Waited 30 min after I was seated to get my drink order. Got a steak and it was extremely nice. I will eat here again. Just may have to get used to slower service.

With limited alternative options this hotel restaurant is ok. Restaurant was busy and service was slow. We were in around 7:00 for a late dinner. Food was average. Location is the win, being attached to the hotel it was convenient and an easy dinner option.

Great spot for drinks and cheesecake while staying in the area airport hotels. Lots of tvs going with sports, yet quiet enough for good conversation.

This is attached to the Marriott Gateway so it's handy if you're staying there. I recommend the onion rings--very tasty with a creme horse radish sauce.

I popped in here for a nightcap after dinner at another nearby restaurant, and I was bown away by the bartender, Crystal. She was friendly, efficient and multi-tasked well. I observed her interactions with other customers, and she listened and made recommendations. The food I observed being served to customers around me looked wonderful, and the feedback was similar.

That chicken dinner was really good. To be honest I was not expecting there food to be good. Well, needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. Rhonda my server was really nice with a nice smile. The host as well Karla was nice. The only thing I didn't like was the way the meal is served the wax paper is to thin. I don't want to eat the wax paper. Lol. But that was it. Change the paper or find another way to serve it and it will be really nice.

What more to say? Great food, great service, enter from outside or through the hotel Outdoor patio area looks like it would be pleasant in good weather too.

Casual atmosphere, good service and extensive menu available throughout the day. Ideal for travellers wanting late lunches, early breakfasts and dinners.

After a very, very long drive, going out anywhere from the hotel for dinner was not something I wanted to consider because there was nothing else in the immediate area. The only restaurant at this hotel is a sports bar. Fortunately the hostess was able to find a somewhat quiet corner in the place for me. Lots of choices on the menu, and selected the pulled pork sandwich with slaw and fries and Key Lime Pie for dessert. Prices were to be expected for the location, but the food was very good. Service was a little slow, but it could have been due to staffing levels. Don't go looking for quiet meal, but there are places in the restaurant where you can carry on a conversation at the table without having to yell at each other.

The menu needs a refresh. While it's a standard pub/bar menu, which is fine for the bar part of Champions, they should offer a little more variety, quality in the sit down section of the restaurant. Would we go back? Probably, because if you're staying there with no car there are no other options.

I half expected to pay an arm and leg for dinner, but the prices for food and cocktails were within the lines of any other restaurant in ATL. I enjoyed a bone-in ribeye and baked potato. I didn't like the potato as it was overcooked and dried out, but the steak was delicious and cooked to order. The bartenders were responsive and prompt.

Service was excellent, food was just passable. Although I understand concessions must be made during a pandemic, it was frustrating to me that their website didn’t note that they were only offering a limited menu. I looked at their website and menu prior to going - and did NOT intend to order wings, flatbread, a sandwich or Caesar salad. However, that is all they are currently offering. Make your concessions, but advertise those concessions on your site.

If you happen to be staying near the Atlanta airport, you will find there are few choices for dining in the area. Champions is a nice looking restaurant inside the Marriott Gateway Convention Center near the airport. The food is just average and the service is slow. We ordered hummus and it was gritty and just from the fridge with cold pita slices. We sent it back. My husband ordered sweet tea brined chicken that sounded delicious, however, it was very undercooked and red juice flowed from it. He sent it back and ordered a chicken quesadilla hoping to get a decent meal. I ordered the poached pear salad with chicken which turned out to be pretty good. The restaurant was busy but not full, so we wondered why the service was sooooo slooooooowwwww. We entered the restaurant at 7:50 and left at about 11 pm. Again, there are few decent dining choices in the area so it is a decent option.

The drinks were made perfectly and the food was great! The ribs were tender with the perfect seasoning. I wish I was hear longer to enjoy more!

Had dinner here out of necessity the night before an early flight. It was super packed with folks who probably had the same idea. I liked the atmosphere, but it didn't blow me away. Food was just okay, I believe I had the "Philly" Cheesesteak, which is always risky if it's not the real deal. If I found myself in the same circumstances, I wouldn't hesitate to go back, but would try a different item.

I do the wings for 3 days in a row. WAOOOOO super excellent quality and price. Nice size of wings and cooked exactly at the point need to be. Server very professional and excellent service

We were looking for a solution close to airport to eat and drink not junk food. Part of the Marriot hotel, Champions offer a good mix of elegance, sportive and good food. Nice surprise!

We came here because it was located across the street from our hotel. We were thrilled with how late they were open and a good variety on the menu. We found that there was a great option for everyone. The service was not good. Our server was slow and never smiled or seemed to care at all. The food however was very good!

Wonderful dinner! Delicious she crab soup and Caesar salad. Loved the Georgia trout. The peach cobbler was one of the best desserts we’ve ever eaten.

Having arrived at about 7pm local time ( midnight in my head ) from UK you need a drink and some food to get yourself onto local time behaviour. What could be better than a beer and a burger which Champions does to perfection. Good choice of draft beers to pick from and some nice ( but pricey) wines. Burger was spot on but don't worry there are more healthy options on offer. A beer, glass of wine, 2 burgers and a bottle of red came in at 95 USD inc tip.

We got there late afternoon, and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent! This was the first time EVER, that I ordered nachos, and was pleasantly surprised to find that they had MELTED cheese on them! I was in Heaven!! Breakfast the next morning, was JUST AS GOOD! Although there are items on the buffet..the chef prepares all of the egg items, as well as the waffles--FRESH!! I'm so glad that this is the restaurant that was part of our hotel!! We will be back!

Located inside the Marriott restaurant. Good variety, great place for business meetings especially for business travelers. Many options even for vegetarians. Pricey however.

We only had breakfast in the hotel, but this was absolutely brilliant and the server was very professional and friendly - we enjoyed the experience and will definitely take the opportunity again when in the hotel!!
Nice quick dinner
Service was quick and friendly. The food choices are limited but my wife and I enjoyed the quesadilla and flatbread. We found the food to be tasty and the beer to be cold. It worked for us for our one night airport layover.
