Bravo to all at Charley s Steak House!

By Alex C |

My wife and I were just in Orlando a few weeks back visiting our time share. One of the people helping us was a lovely lady named Hope she asked if we were looking for a great place for dinner, sure, why not and she told us about a restaurant called Charley's Steak House, the Celebration location.` She made a reservation for us, and I will tell you this was one of the best recommendations we have ever received. When we walked in the front door, we met Jennifer Connell who I'm assuming she was a hostess but no, much more she was the manager or an Operating Partner as her card said. Maybe that's another way to say owner. I don't know about you, but nothing burns me up more when I go into a nice place only to be greeted by silly teenagers on their cell phone. This woman is Proud of her business and wants everyone to know what a great experience they are about to have. Bravo Jennifer. Then when we got our table, we were greeted by our waiter named Stacy and things just got better and better! I eat out often and this man was hands down the best waiter we have experienced. We had drinks that were perfect and ordered a bacon wrapped diver scallop, soooooo good. We wanted to have wine with our meal but also wanted to enjoy another drink and what you know the drinks came and a complimentary salad recommended by Stacy and the bottle of wine came just as we finished the last of our drinks and then a few minutes later a meal for a King arrived. I don't want you to miss the progression here, our waiter on purpose planned when that meal would come out and made sure we enjoyed everything we were having, and we were not rushed once. I mean this man is a Pro. The food, oh yes, we came to this place to eat, well eat we did. We both had the center cut filet mignon my wife had hers with some tasty mushrooms and I had mine with Bearnaise sauce which was the Best I have ever had ever! We split a baked potato which could have fed 4 and of course perfect. I don't like chives, so Stacy (best waiter ever) brought some on the side and my wife sprinkled them on the potato she selected. It's the little things I tell ya. Anyway, we had such a great meal, one for the ages. We of course had dessert and coffee which were also delicious but by this point I was a verry happy done! In ending I would say this was one of the best meals and more so the experience that we have every had and you can be guaranteed will come back anytime we visit the Orlando area. Bravo to all at Charley's Steak House!

Steakhouse Dinner !

By Tiffany |

Went to Charley's Steak House for the first time today, and I was taken back by the level of hospitality! My waiter, Ivan, was amazing and very knowledgeable of the history and plates. He made us laugh the entire night and even happened to get me a side sample to help me make my decision (definitely choose the asparagus and mashed potatoe) BEAUTIFUL experience. You wont regret it. Thank you Ivan for a 6star service

Consistent Performer with Service, Food and Ambiance

I've been to Charley's a few times. I was interested to see how Covid may have impacted their level of service and food quality. I am happy to report that they have appeared to maintain their high standards. We had another delicious meal and look forward to visiting again in July.

The greatest steakhouse ever!

This was recommended by the bartender at my hotel. An excellent dining experience with world-class service

Unexpected gem

If you aren’t familiar with Charley’s then you may pass this one by. You are missing out! Excellent food, superb service, and atmosphere can be casual or dressy! Save room for the butter cake!

Charley's is the worst, heartless business in Orlando

By Brett O |

I booked a dinner at Charley's for my parents 50th anniversary. The week of the dinner my mom became very ill and has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemo treatments. The restaurant decided to keep my deposit without offering anything even after telling me to take my time and that they would book it in the future. They have gone back on their promise to work with us. I'm out 1200 dollars and have a very sick mom. You should never eat at this business.

Disappointed

Steak and tuna was good. Unfortunately house salad was soggy and old. Had reservations but placed in POC seating. Disappointed

Absolutely Stunning 😍

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely love this restaurant for girl’s night out on the town and much more. You get the bang for your buck. Always clean & the staff are pleasant. Angel served our table & was absolutely stunning. The manager Chris came by our table to chat & make sure our food was good & if we needed any other service. Thank you again Angel & Manager Chris. You will see us again as it’s a spot we always come to at least once a month 😊

Amazing Dinner

Amazing date night spot

The entire experience from pulling in the parking lot to pulling out was amazing. Food was great! Their was a moisture of attire so dress code doesn’t seem to be strictly enforced.

Top Notch food and service

By Nancy K |

Amazing, attentive service, elegant decor and the food was scrumptious! This is a great place to celebrate special occasions. The seafood tower has the largest shrimp I’ve ever seen! The filet mignon was tender and the giant slices of strawberry cake will definitely make me come here again.

Overpriced, underwhelmed.

By Rob C |

Our waiter was excellent, however—- I ordered a $69 dry aged strip medium. (Total bill was 1200 for the table) After getting closer to the bone, it became clear the steak was nearly raw. I politely expressed my disappointment and the steak was thrown back on the grill. It was returned to me blackened on the outside and still raw in the middle. I then said no thanks and asked her to take it away as they ruined it. Annnnnnd it was still on the bill. Horrible!

POOR SERVICE , HORRIBLE FOOD !!!!

By ameeral |

Visited on 8/7/23. Reservation made for 7:30pm to celebrate my wife’s birthday . Seated in a booth which felt claustrophobic. Was easily relocated . Main server was very polite and went the extra mile to make our visit pleasant. Assistant server wearing name plate “KHAN’’ was rude and out of place . My appetizer plating after I was finished sat on the table for an extended period of time . Service was laboured . At 8:45 pm we all sat with drinks in hand only . I enquired about the bread . Mr Khan replied in a hostile fashion , it was going to be served with the salad . First for me ! To add insult to injury , when it did arrive I was advised he was in the process of bringing more to my table . At this point I had enough of him. The bread was sent back . After the long wait the main course finally arrived . My 8 oz filet mignon steak was over salted as was the asparagus. My wife ordered 6oz Wagyu steak medium temperature. It came rare , overdosed with thyme butter . We decided to skip dessert . Shared our concerns with the main server . My son then proceeded to remind me to stick with what me know and stop trying new Restaurants without a thorough check on reputable review fora . Charley’s is a pseudo wannabe steak house . I would definitely not be returning to any of their three locations !!!! Spoilt my wife’s BD dinner . Thank god she opted to have a Kheer at an Indian resturant a few blocks down on International Dr and that saved the night .

Very disorganized

Party of 10. Steaks were done right but 2 of us ordered stone crab and after 2 hours when everything else was done they told us sorry we only have 1 left. Bill was screwed up also. For the price charged it wasn't worth it

Mesmerizing

By Jesse S |

“This steakhouse is a must-visit! The drinks were top-notch, and the grill setup was absolutely incredible. The open flame adds a mesmerizing touch, and the custom-cut meats were cooked to perfection. The flavors were outstanding, making it an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend for any steak lover!”

We really needed something like this.

By Javier C |

After countless days at theme parks and fast food, we all needed something this good!!! Starting with the excellent location and preparation of the table - we were a large group... children included -, very friendly attention, speed of service and above all the great quality of the food; highlighting, of course, the steaks. We ordered 3 different cuts and they were all delicious and perfectly cooked. Personally, I did not know the brand but definitely widely recommend it.

Top notch service

By Oscar R |

I decided to treat my family to a wonderful dinner, so I chose Charley's. Amazing service with a menu to match. Everything from the bread to appetizers to the steaks were great. Truly recommend.

Just delicious.

As locals we sometimes forget that there are some excellent restaurants within the tourist corridor for a special evening. Last night we revisited Charleys on I Drive and my goodness it did not fail to impress. From the moment we arrived and Valet parked everything was top notch. We arrived a little early and headed to the bar, we were greeted and entertained by wonderful Luigi who took exceptional care of us both. His personality just jelled with ours and we had so much fun. At the table our server Faouzi impressed with his knowledge of the menu and came up with some wonderful suggestions. Food was excellent, I had the Filet and my husband had the Porterhouse, we chose Au gratin and Broccoli as sides and everything was delicious and cooked to our liking. Josh the Manager visited our table a few times to make sure everything was on point and it was. So if you are on I drive and want a special evening head over to Charleys You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic food selection, Impeccable service, fun!

5 Star. I was at a business dinner with 6 people. It was an amazing experience and culinary delight. We started with the crab cake appetizer (which isn't my favorite), but I have to say it was divine. Very tasty, and the flavors were tantalizing. Next, I had the bone-in ribeye for my entree. Aahhhh... so good. Yes, it was pricey ($75), but delicious. I ordered it cooked medium and the steak was perfect temperature. Interesting, my colleague ordered the price cut ($95), and it was more charred on the outside, but tasted the same to me. Personally, I wouldn't pay for the price cut. Maybe, my palate isn't sophisticated enough, but I can never taste the difference, and I've tried this a few times at a few difference steakhouses. Same steak - one prime, one not- and can't really taste a difference, so why spend the extra $$. Regardless, steak was really good. We ordered the lobster mash potatoes, cream corn, and the broccoli. All super delicious, but after that big steak, a few bites of that lobster mash and cream corn is enough - very heavy, rich and filling. We didn't order desert, although they looked grand. Our service was impeccable. The restaurant atmosphere is a little more casual (loud) rather than fine dining. We had folks who wore shorts with a collar shirt. If you want a great steak and service, I highly recommend Charley's Steak House, especially for a business dinner or with a group.

We use to come everytime we came to Orlando-never again

By Marsha B |

We always visited Charley's when we came to Orlando area. This will be our last visit. Waited 30 minutes for water service and finally when we complained got a server. She was nice but when our filet arrived it was burnt. I felt like I was eating charcoal. For a $300 dinner for two I'll go to Shulas.

Best dinner ever

By lorriche |

The food was fabulous but the waitress Dia was the best ever! Pleasant, friendly, attentive and professional! Can’t get better service

One of the best steakhouses I have ever visited!

By Nathan R |

Nice traditional steakhouse settings with excellent service. Truly one of the best steaks I have ever had, I went for the ribeye bone-in, and the sides were delicious too. Vast choice of drinks, soft drinks, beers, cocktails, wines, as you can imagine we had an amazing time. Also the buttercake is out of this world. Cannot to revisit one day.

Amazing steaks!

By Camper68308821332 |

Amazing first class steaks and entertaining service! Try the Wagu Ribey and the Porterhouse cut- some of the best steaks we had for years.Tasty salads , and Seafood as well, but the meat is the real deal …

Just amazing….and John is the star!

By Melanie P |

Second visit in two months and it was just as fantastic. The professionalism of all the staff is impeccable but the real star of the show is John, one of the managers. The first visit was just my husband and I and it was so good that when we knew we were coming back to Orlando to meet friends from Michigan and celebrate her birthday, I knew exactly where to go. Escargot, lobster bisque, crab cakes, waygu beef melts in your mouth , tomahawk bison, it was all just absolutely amazing. We can’t wait to visit again, and will only do so if we know John Is working. Kudos to this place for doing it right time and time again.

As locals, our favorite steakhouse

By quinella66 |

As a local to the Orlando area, Charley’s is one my favorites. We ordered the 1974 shrimp, which are the best fried shrimp anywhere, and the prime dry aged 28 Oz ribeye, which was perfect. Here, you can have both quantity and quality - portions are big. McLovin was our server and took great care of us.

First time

By Jim S |

Very elegant in every way. From valet parking, to the service of wait staff, atmosphere, cleanliness, and most importantly…the food.

40th Birthday

By Jennifer S |

I had my 40th birthday dinner here on 8/21/21 with family. There was 10 of us in my party. We were seated in a private room. And from the moment I booked the event, the staff with the event planning was always answering my questions no matter how big or small or how many changes I made . The servers for the evening were Nick and Kahn. They were very attentive and when I walked into my event. One of servers was there waiting for me with my signature drinks. Couldn't have asked for a better night. The food, and atmosphere were great and the 2 servers were top notch. My family and I had a great time and experience. Thank you for making my 40th Birthday one I will never forget.

Not up to par

By Robert M |

I was a bit concerned arriving at a nice steakhouse at the end of a retail strip center. The service was great and atmosphere pretty good but the food just wasn’t acceptable at this price point. The Calamari appetizers were great but the shrimp did not taste fresh. The crab cakes had no crunch to them at all. Salads weren’t bad and the bread was good and that was it. The New York Strips were huge but tough and honestly seemed like they were frozen. The filets were ok but none of the steaks arrived at an appropriate temperature. The best item received were the Chilean Sea Bass. The strawberry tall cake we received tasted and looked like it was from Costco. I doubt any locals eat here. I’d never return.

Charlie’s steak house is awesome!

Don was amazing! He made made experience so relaxing and very informative! We will definitely be back and request Don!

Great Service

By John M |

Service was great refilled drinks right away. Only had one issue with two of the same sides being brought out but manager came right to table and I just asked them to take it off bill which they did. My wife had lamb she said it was very good. My steak was very tender and had good char. Me personally i dont like the smoked flavor (they cook over open grill) as much as a pan seared steak but it was still really good. Kids shrimp meal was huge coming with three big shrimp. One thing I like all entrees come with a salad which is a big portion. Overall for 4 us with including 2 bar drinks, one side, and one app was 237 which is reasonable for this type of restaurant. Overall experience very good.

Not worth it !

By Rebecca |

Went for dinner , in Orlando , with family. Filet was dry , tough and not med-rare as ordered. Sides are very expensive , and served uncovered. You must choose whether to eat your steak or your sides, cold. Had to ask for plates to serve shareable sides. $60 for filet and $20 for lobster Mac and cheese. Total check , for 2, was $254 , without alcoholic beverages. Save your money and eat dinner 4 separate times , for the same money. I didn't complain or send my food back because I was there with my daughter , and this is her favorite restaurant. I didn't want her to feel bad , that I had a bad experience.

Absolutely Amazing

By David W |

We have just had the most amazing meal here at Charley’s . An amazing welcome, amazing knowledge of the superb food that was offered, the best smoked tequila cocktail I have had in a long time. Xavier our server was so kind and helpful. Rather than spend nearly 100 bucks on chicken strips and fries at the parks spend a little more and get some really good food here at Charley’s.

High Expectations, Low Results

By Gary W. |

I was so looking forward to finally having the opportunity to visit, but unfortunately left disappointed. The ambience was exactly what it should be for a steak restaurant of this caliber, and the service really was great. Of the six of us in our party, 4 complained about very tough and chewy steak, and from three different cuts. My $95 dry-aged bone in ribeye was cooked fine at mid-rare, but so chewy and tough. Two NY Strip and the regular bone-in ribeye were the same. We certainly expected better steaks from a restaurant with this reputation, and a $1500 dinner. I had my experience, and unfortunately won't be back.

Excellent

By Alex M |

As someone who is not from here I have never experienced such amazing service. Wally, our server, was very attentive and explained everything in detail and was such a great help when choosing what to get. He guided us through the menu and did not leave a detail out. Would definitely come back!

Steaks too undercooked. Had to send both back and then like leather for one. Ordered medium well came medium rare.

By Rick D |

Had to send steaks back. Ordered both medium well but came medium rare. One came back like shoe leather and the other barely medium.

Birthday dinner

By Daisey M |

I chose Charlie’s for my birthday because I used to go to the original Charlie’s on orange blossom trail in Orlando for 15 years because they gave a 20 dollar credit off of food as a birthday gift, but it had to be your exact day! and we always got the surf n turf (20oz lobster tail, 20 oz filet), at the original location it was an Australian lobster tail that melted in your mouth like butter. The Tampa location served Caribbean lobster that was tough and chewy, the filet was good. Service at the original location was impeccable with 3 serves at each table, a dirty dish never lingered, I was very disappointed with the Tampa location as our waitress had no help, restaurant was busy, dinner for two was 400 dollars and service was in the level of chili’s....I make better potato’s augratin, we ate at Berns steakhouse last year and had a better meal with impeccable service for 360. So they do have good steak, I’ll give them that was just so disappointed they were not like the original steakhouse, makes me mad they even carry the name. Maybe they will read this review and hire some help for the waiters so they can focus on their job and not worry about busing the tables and making water or refilling drinks. They brought our dinner 4 minutes after we got our bread and salad, so we were not near done with our salad and had to make room for dinner, they started vacuuming and cleaning restaurant before our meal was done. Just things you would never do at a 4-5 star restaurant. Cocktails were very good top quality.

Forget Disneyworld, forget Universal, go to Charley's

By James |

If you're in Orlando, and you love Steak, you must go to Charley's. This place is by far the best Steak house I have ever been. We made a few friends whilst on holiday in International Drive and they highly recommended Charley's to us for a top-quality meal and experience. We booked in advance and when we arrived our table was ready. As soon as you walk in you can see the grills firing the most decadent cuts of beef, and the smell of apple wood in the air filled us with awe and excitement. Our server took us to our seats and recommended their house special cocktails which we all gladly accepted. With refreshments in hand, we were then shown the incredible variety of cuts we could choose from. The server had an incredible knowledge of each cut, from where they were reared to the aging and maturing process. Trying to choose between them was not an easy decision to make but I chose the 18oz New York Strip, as did most others, except for one who went for the 50oz Porterhouse. We were served a starter of in-house breads but advised not to indulge too much as to spoil the experience of the main course. This turned out to be excellent advice. When our steaks were served, we were all simply blown away. Each one was perfectly caramelised and brushed with the most exquisite truffle oil which sent the aroma and flavour to a level none of us had experienced before. Every bite of the Steak was nothing short of pure pleasure. The meat melted in the mouth so smoothly that finishing the full 18ozs was no trouble at all. The side orders of bacon mashed potato, sautéed onions and mushrooms added to our joy and filled us to our hearts desire. I can't wait for our next visit. Forget Disneyworld, forget Universal Studios, go to Charley's. You won't regret it.

Exceptional service

By Geeky_Goddess |

Impeccable service. Our waiter Freias was so accommodating to our wish to be in a quiet area for my husband and I to celebrate my birthday. The food was great too, but they treat you like royalty. Special shout out to Oscar who made sure our every leftover was packed perfectly.

Overrated

By Amy R |

The hostess I called said no tank tops and no ball caps. So we complied (even though it was 1,000 degrees out) and I noticed many people wearing tank tops. She clearly told us that if I showed up in one, we’d have to sit outside or at the bar. The atmosphere was very high end but the servers were preoccupied with taking our plates so we were frequently left without some. They kept placing a plate discard tray at the end of our table like it was meant for us and it was for other tables (very disruptive and uncomfortable). The filet was ‘meh’. Great crab cakes and good ahi appetizers. The meat wasn’t prepared as asked and 1 had to be sent back to cook further. Good bread and salad but I’d go to any other higher-end steakhouse before spending almost $1,000 on 4 adults and 4 kids.

Best of El Gouna

By Fred A |

Eaten 3 times this holiday. Best of El Gouna and highly recommended for everyone. Hotstone Camel definitely try. Service is also fine and to the point

Sublime

By nathalie469 |

Simply sublime in food & service!!! It was a memorable experience for sure! Since the first time we went more than 10 years ago and now it has not disappointed but this time especially since our hostess Hannah and husband Angel. They made the super delicious food even better. Hannah was like a steak sommelier and Angel a wine sommelier. They really knew their stuff. You can really taste the difference in the meat and appreciate the cows that are being grass fed and massaged and listen to classical music. Besides the most excellent steaks the lobster bisque is to die for with real lobster pieces in it and the lobster tail was one of the best I have ever had! If you are in Orlando it is a MUST!

Worth a third of what we paid.

By Angela C |

My daughter and I were in on a girls trip. We wanted a nice place to get a great filet and enjoy some fine dining. The service was great (except for when they left a tray directly next to my booth so I could not get out to use the restroom. I had to move it myself in order to stand up). The food. Meh. I don’t feel like it was worth the price in the slightest. I got the center cut filet and have had better for less than half the price. It wasn’t smooth. It wasn’t soft. It had very little flavor. The sides were generous in portion but honestly. The garlic mash should have been called mashed garlic. So much it was inedible. The lobster mac wasn’t any better than you can get at multiple other places for a fraction of the cost. Honestly. The best thing we ate was the Cesar salad. Multiple tables around us were returning food. We didn’t want to bother. Just paid our bill and left but would never return or recommend to anyone.

Solid and safe choice

By francesco c |

We have been a few times here. The place is at high level of service environment and food. Classic style. Lot of wood around. You won't be disappointed. I had fish : Chilean sea bass is remarkable . Fried calamari to recommend too. So conclusion: promoted again! No decline at sight...!

Out of this world

By Fiona C |

Once again Charley’s was excellent. The steak out of this world. The service is more than excellent.very attentive. I will be returning when I next visit Orlando.

All around outstanding!

By MaryLynn L |

Amazing service from the front door to the valet car return. Angel was our server and was professional and personable! All restaurants should send their servers to him for training! The food was beyond delicious. Kudos to the chefs!

Bad food

By Ramiro S |

A month ago we had an early dinner at this restaurant with our family. We requested that the table be changed, for which the waiters had to call the manager and then she called her assistant to change the table, finally after 19 minutes they gave us a new table. Excellent lobster cream and the meats as always delicious. Great service. A few days ago we returned again, to commemorate my son-in-law's birthday. We were eleven people in total. But this time something happened in this restaurant, but it was a disaster. The disastrous appetizers, the scallops overly decorated with pepper, the flavourless crab cakes and one of my children grew a hair, he complained to the waiter and told him that he was going to give him a dessert. They brought all the main dishes, but not my daughter's salad, the Caesar's salad arrived after we all finished and that's because I complained to the manager. We ordered the medium well meats and they came rare. We waited 9 minutes to see if a waiter would come to make the claim, but since no one came to ask how our food was, we opted to eat half of the meats. We asked for the bread but the waiter said he only brought it when the main dishes were served. The bread never came. Unfortunately our dinner was a disaster.WILL NEVER RETURN TO YOUR RESTAURANT.

Believe What You Hear!

By Donna L |

If you've heard Charley's was the Number 1 Steak House ---- believe it! If you've heard the staff is incredible --- believe it! If you've heard the decor and atmosphere are exemplary --- believe it! If you've heard this restaurant should be on everyone's Bucket List --- believe it! The Manager, Johnathon goes above and beyond, so, you should ask to meet him before leaving your table. Will you walk out filled up, satisfied and glad you dined there --- believe it!!!! One last thing, there is an EXTENSIVE menu, something for everyone --- believe it!

Awful

By William P |

If I could give it zero I would! As we arrived we we greeted by valet parking. Gents you were great. Walked in, escorted to a table, fine. That was where it ended! Tables all around us were busy. People who were sat after us were served water and drinks. We sat there for 20 minutes and not even offered water, spoken to or even acknowledged. So we walked out. Poor poor service. How can you justify award winning but you can't get the basics right! As we walked out, the manager just stood there with her mouth open. Not even an apology. Do not waste you time or money. Never again.

Deliscious!

By Danny L |

Ecxellent! Steaks! Seafood! Deserts! The TOWER OH MY! The service was very good and did an excellent job and they got our party seated and we were very happy very exceptional exceptional service

There was no wait

By Lourdes P |

But most of the restaurants down the street had a one hour wait....Now we know why. EXTREMELY expensive and honestly the food was not that remarkable. My husband's steak was tasteless. My lobster bisque was watery--not creamy. The rack of lamb was dry and tough, not soft and juicy. My son's lobster mac came out in pizza shaped wedges--like the mac had been baked--but it was burnt and the lobster was gummy. The deserts were excellent--I had the creme brulee. The service was good, although it took them a while to take our meal order. The waitress had come by a few times for drink orders, appetizer orders, and to give us a presentation on their steak options.

Birthday Visit

By Jasmine R |

This was the absolute best dining experience I’ve ever had. Management was awesome and our server Ivan’s customer service was impeccable. I would definitely return because the staff made my birthday absolutely amazing!!!

Dining at its finest.

By Paul R |

We where greeted and seated immediately. First impressions of the place, the cleanliness and the staff, we knew this was going to be amazing. We where looked after by Dylan (The Pilot) He was amazing and a true professional. His knowledge of the menu was incredible. After an amazing presentation of what the place had to offer, and Dylans recommendations, we had the best meal ever during our holiday. I cannot recommend this place and Dylan highly enough. Thank you to everyone there for a stunning evening of superb food.

Birthday dinner/ first time guests

By Amber H |

Came in for my birthday dinner with my husband and everything was amazing!! Ivan was our server and he made the entire experience! Very knowledgeable and made sure to check on us various times. The 28oz bone in ribeye was amazing and the colossal shrimp app is to die for! Definitely coming back soon!

Wood fired steaks !!

By dposlaiko |

You can smell the wood fires grill as you walk up and actually see it as you enter. Very distinct taste of the steaks. Also ordered some salmon, the aiola sauce on top was a bit too much otherwise would have given 5 stars

Ask for Ivan the server! Amazing dinner at Intl Blvd location.

By BriMcFly |

Ivan was fantastic as our server and presenter. You can taste the food and cocktails as soon as he described it! Steaks sauces and lobster were great! Butter cream cake dessert insanely good!

A Discreet Gem That Exceeded Every Expectation

By Mocreu |

It was, I daresay, an extraordinary experience. I found myself here by invitation, in the company of a rather amiable group. Out of the thousands of restaurant options one might bravely sift through in Orlando — many boasting impressively favourable ratings — I must confess that, left to my own devices, I would hardly have selected this establishment, tucked away as it is in a somewhat discreet corner of the city. Yet, what a splendid surprise it proved to be. The service was both gracious and swift, with attendants perpetually vigilant, as though anticipating one’s desires before they had fully formed. I sampled a sequence of delicacies from a pre-set menu prepared for our work meeting, and every dish delivered admirably: from the starters of shrimp and crab to the main course, a wonderfully flavourful cut of meat, handled on the grill with near-ceremonial precision, preserving the essence of a noble, natural steak. For the curious, I strongly recommend a visit — if not for the delightful dishes, then at least for the pleasure of discovering that, every now and then, one’s preconceived notions can be elegantly disproven by a well-executed meal in a charmingly discreet restaurant.

Fantastic steak....

By Scott H |

I've been to Charlie's Steakhouse many times, but the last visit was around 2016. The service was excellent, the food was superb, and you really can't say anything negative about the restaurant. We shared the bone-in ribeye that was aged, and it was seared on both sides medium rare done perfectly. The steak tartare was excellent. The drinks were good. Our friends had the widest State, at the wagyu ribeye with Lobster appetizers. The menu is extensive, I really can't say anything negative. The price of beef has gone up and unfortunately that's reflected in the price, but that's not Charlie's fault. Anytime I'm near the area it's a go to Steakhouse.

My son and I at Ripleys next door

By Nattedogg23 |

The service and food are excellent. My son loved the lobster bisque and the porterhouse was great and cooked beautifully.

Way Too Expensive

By Tim B |

Went to Charley's in Tampa on 9/4/2021 for dinner. Last time we were there was pre-pandemic, probably 3+ years ago. This used to be my favorite steakhouse in Tampa; not anymore. First thing I noticed different from the last time we were here are the off-the-charts expensive steak prices. You can go to their website and check for yourself. This place has always been expensive, but current prices are ridiculous in my opinion. Cheapest steak is $49 - that was for an 8-oz filet mignon. I ended up paying $59 for a 21-day dry aged bone-in strip. For that you get the steak and a house salad. Any sides beyond that are ala-carte. I will admit, the salad was great and the steak beautifully charred and delicious, but geez. Wine is equally expensive. Contrary to what I see on the website, the cheapest by-the-glass red wine on the list we were offered was $19. I think the list included a white wine for $17 a glass, but (a) a good steak demands to be paired with red wine, and (b) even $17 per glass is ridiculously expensive. However the most disappointing thing of the evening for me was they have abandoned what used to be their signature gin martini garnish consisting of a blue-cheese stuffed olive, super tasty cocktail onion and equally tasty mini vegetable pepper. They used to shake it tableside, pour it into the martini glass at your table, and leave what's left in the shaker container on the table for you to finish. No more. They still mix it tableside, but have eliminated the signature garnish; only standard olives now. Why would you do that? And they don't leave the shaker after pouring. Service was top-notch. Waiter was attentive, and after overhearing my wife and I discussing it being our anniversary brought us a small complimentary dessert to share. Also very good. In summary, they still make one of the tastiest steaks in town and pamper you pretty good, but I would expect nothing less at these prices. Unfortunately they have priced themselves out of my league; I cannot justify going back there. There are other, equally-superior steakhouses in Tampa for less money. Giving a 1-star rating based on lack-of-value.

Shrimp from Target

By Bruce S |

Think they bought there shrimp from Targets frozen isle and forgot to season it at all so bland amd tasteless, the steak was ok but had better in a weathspoons in England! Service was fantastic though but so should when they ripped my eyeballs out with the price I paid for frozen food 🤦‍♂️

Great experience

By Dan R |

We had a business meal my clients had a wonderful dining experience. Deal done at the table .Our waiter faouzi was extremely knowledgeable and made our experience extraordinary. food delicious, the Service was top notch, and the atmosphere was exactly what should be. A great experience and we will be back the next time we are in the Orlando area.

Amazing

Charley's is AMAZING! The food and the staff are top notch. I would highly recommend Charley's Steakhouse! Friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

An excellent experience!

By RDCononver |

A great dining experience. Our server was fantastic. She started us with drinks and appetizers, including the calamari, which was fantastic and shrimp. The wine recommendation was excellent. The salads were outstanding the dressing delicious. The stakes are very large and so much intimidating. Therefore, I chose the fish which again was large, well prepared and enjoyable. For sides we had to cauliflower the corn and potatoes, all of which were very good all in an enjoyable business dinner.

The best steak I have eaten in 72 years!

By Betty B |

We were in Orlando to celebrate our anniversary and asked our concierge to help us pick a spot for great food and atmosphere. He gave us 3 choices and from those we selected Charley’s Steak House. Our waiter Frias gave us outstanding service; the steak was the best I’ve ever eaten; and the ambience was divine. We’ll be back and we will always ask for Frias!

Super expensive

By Lloyd B |

The food and service here are amazing. Top notch in every respect. The shrimp were enormous and the steak was perfect. Cheese bread and giant salad to start. Drinks were reasonably priced. The food was too expensive for me. 180 for the Meal for two.

GET the grilled cream corn ...!

By Jerome G |

Higher end steak house in which you get value for your money. Very professional service in a classy environment. All our food was delicious, well prepared and decent sized portions. "Must" have on the menu was their grilled cream corn - delicious, not too thick or cheesy, very unique flavor. I wish I could get my hands on their recipe to make it at home. Next visit I will order one portion just for myelf.

Overpriced

By Leonsmyboy |

Food was decent but $95 for a rib eye steak without any sides is in my eyes a rip off. Got a bottle of Spanish red which I can buy in the uk for £8 cost us $45. Bill for 2 mains 2 sides a wine and a martini with tip cost us $322. Also what is it with this tipping culture in America. It’s becoming a joke. I work in the tourism sector here in the uk and very rarely get tips off Americans. There wanting 25% over there. Think they need to set there sights lower. Don’t think I’ll be back to Orlando

Extremely Disappointed

By Martin J F |

Very expensive but thought we would get an out of this world experience. Cheapest steak is $49. I ended up paying $90 for the Bison Ribeye to split between my wife & me because of the high recommendation from our server. For that you get the steak, dinner rolls and a house salad. I will admit, the salad was great. They asked if we wanted ground pepper on our salad and we did. Any sides beyond that are ala carte. We ordered the $14 Au Gratin potatoes to share. I was asked if I wanted the truffle butter on our steak and I said yes thinking it was a choice (like the pepper on the salad) not an extra cost. They also asked if I wanted my mushrooms on the side and bacon on the potatoes. I again said yes thinking it was an option. Our bill ended up being $30 more because of the extras. Still not bad for an awesome meal but the meat had more fat than meat and very bland. No taste at all. My sister and brother-in-law got the Whole Snapper and Angus Ribeye ($54 & $75). Their “extras” cost them $30 as well. An extra $19 for (2) shrimp on the snapper!! Total bill was $390 with minimum tip!! All (3) meals were bland and tasteless. I’ve had better at Longhorn and that’s not saying much. The atmosphere was great. Our waiter was knowledgeable, entertaining and pleasant but did not let us know the extra charges. Don’t mind paying for good food. You get what you pay for. Not only wasn’t it great, it wasn’t even average.

Disappointing

By Elaine P |

Very disappointing have been here on 2 previous occasions and was lovely The salad starter was good but from there went downhill rapidly. The steaks were incorrectly cooked and chicken over cooked, dry and over seasoned. A lot of food was left but the server did not ask if everything was ok at the end or offer to box it up. Should have mentioned it at the time admittedly but fell far short of the previous high standards and excellent food.

Greek florida man gone wild in Tampa

By man e |

Food was good but an angry greek guy with a knife chased after me yelling zittebewegung at the top of his lungs

The appetizer was my favorite part of the meal, but everything was delicious

By pitt_twins |

One word-AMAZING! For full disclosure we were with a large group and we did not pay for the meal. In all honesty, I'm not sure I would pay $300.00 for a dinner for 2, The meal began with a Colossal Seafood Tower. For me, the meal could have ended here. We shared with another couple at the table. The Shrimp Cocktail, Red King Crab Legs, Stone Crab Claws and Blue Crab was the best seafood I have eaten. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. The next course was the Steakhouse Baby Wedge Salad and was a large serving on a chilled plate. The Halibut with a light sauce was flaky and it too, a very large portion. This was served with delicious potatoes on the side. For dessert and perfect ending to a wonderful meal, Salted Caramel Cheesecake. The potion was large and sadly I couldn't possibly eat the entire slice. As we dined our wine glasses were topped off and all service was outstanding.

Go elsewhere

By Jenny G |

I drive location…I will start with the positive..beautiful interior with intimate table for the six of us…conversation was easily had at the table even thought it was a busy night…kudos for that. Bartender was great and wine pours generous. We were sat promptly for our reserved time but did not receive salad or bread for a full hour after. Ok…we had great conversation and wine from the bar. My steak( porterhouse) was cold and so tough I couldn’t cut into it easily. Lobster Mac and cheese was underwhelming and hubby got steak with Oscar style crab on Kansas City cut steak. It was not tender for a prime steak and Oscar style was just a few pieces of crab meat on top. Outback is better honestly. The manager did take $90 off the bill which we were not looking for a discount. We would have rather had an enjoyable meal for the money. I think they cater to tourists that they won’t see again. Very disappointing meal for the price. We won’t be back. Bummer since we are locals.

Fantastic food and service

By smm72 |

We are regulars to Charley’s steakhouse when we visit Orlando, however this was our first visit to the international drive location. We loved it and will definitely make this our go to option for Charley’s in the future. From the host to the servers to everyone in between, we were welcomed into the restaurant and made to feel special. The steaks, sides, and drinks were amazing. Steaks cooked to perfection! Restaurant was absolutely spotless…so very reassuring…we watched a waiter set up a new table and the attention to detail was awesome…uv lights on the glasses checking for marks, torches under the tables checking for spillages…very impressed!

Best steak and creme brulee!

By Aoife |

Mouth watering! The food is so tasty that we are still talking about it. The service is very friendly and happy to take you through the different options available. Probably the best steak and creme brulee I've had in my life!

Worth every penny!

By 700jan |

Our first time here and it won’t be the last. Eerlene gave us great service. It is expensive but very worth it with the quality and quantity! Amazing! 1# potatoes - wow. Salmon was the best I have ever had and I eat a lot of salmon. Thank you!

Great experience at Charley’s

By Colleen B |

Charley's Steakhouse in Orlando, FL is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who loves steak and fine dining. The menu at Charley's Steakhouse is full of delicious options that are sure to please even the most discerning palate. The steaks, in particular, are truly outstanding. They are perfectly cooked to order and seasoned to perfection, making every bite a true delight. But what really sets Charley's Steakhouse apart is the exceptional service. Our server, Don, was simply outstanding. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. He made excellent recommendations, was always available when we needed him, and even took the time to answer all of our questions about the menu and the restaurant. Overall, our experience at Charley's Steakhouse in Orlando, FL was truly exceptional. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect, and the service was outstanding. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, and we would especially recommend requesting Don as your server for an even more enjoyable experience.

Great food, unless you're an elistest, don't bother.

By tmetz66213 |

They have a dress code, which I respect. Apparently, if it's raining in FL, they don't want you wearing a hat. Food was fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly. Compliments to the cook, especially when its $61.00 for a steak. The bartender needs a reality check. Two out of the three bartenders were great. One was enough to never step foot inside the restaurant again.

Amazing

By fernandaf546 |

Amazing. Sophisticated atmosphere, incredible experience. Presentation of cuts of meat and wine. Everything impeccable. We ordered the menu which comes with beef and lobster. It's a lot of food for a couple, everything is in excess. We made a mistake with the order in this sense, there was a lot of food left over.

Great place for dinner

By Supercoolone1 |

Charley's came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. The owner. manager and team members were friendly from the moment we stepped out the vehicle. The food was superb. The best ribeye steak every tasted and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had two hugh pork chops. The sharable sizes were more than enough. I cannot say enough about the salted carmel cheese cake. OMG. Pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Our visit was well worth it and if we could give more than 5 stars, they would be well deserved. Thanks to the owners and team members. Michael was magnificent!

Great time for Family Dinner

By TugTerry |

Our Daughter’s Father in law treated all of us to dinner at Charlie’s. It was a special occasion for us all. We loved the service and the food. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Delicious steaks and appetizers. Drinks were enjoyed by some of us. I would recommend the 8 Oz fillet. And the mushroom side dish. Thank you Bob!

First Class Steaks - 50th Anniversary

By Donald P |

The place went all out for our meal. Enjoyed the service. The steak presentation about each steak was very helpful. The Cream Brulee was large enough for us to share.

Overpriced!

By DeeAnn P |

Extremely overpriced for what you get. Had to send our porterhouse steak back because it came out pretty much raw when we had asked for medium. Took a very long time to get our meal. Waitstaff was excellent.

One Visit is Good Enough

By HeyYall |

First for the positive highlights: (1) complimentary valet parking is provided; (2) a vinaigrette small house salad comes with every entree as well as cheese and herb rolls; (3) the restaurant employs covid protocols and (4) the butter cake dessert - tasted like a delicious warm fallen buttery cream cheese pound cake. We ate very mindfully and drinking tap ice water with our meal we still spent $100 per person. Was it worth it? No. The waiter kept trying to give us the most expensive cuts of meat - buyer beware. The shrimp cocktail is only 3 shrimp and $23. While expressing a geniune desire to please, our wait staff still did not have water to us in a timely fashion for refills or clear plates - we expect more when we are paying $300 for a meal for 3 (including 20% gratuity). The food was fairly salty for some reason. Everything is a la carte and you get what you literally get. The truffle butter is even a $7 upcharge - we were afraid to ask for anything because everything had an additional charge. Last, the manager came to each table to see how your meal was which should have been a nice thing, but was not - she was quite arrogant and unfriendly. We overheard another couple complaining about how "gamey" their meat was. Was it worth it? Nope. We all agreed that nothing (the meal, the service, the meats, nor the atmosphere) justified a second visit for us. Next time we are going to try some local steakhouses instead of this chain.

Awesome

By Kevin O’Leary |

Everything about this place was amazing. The service, the drinks and the food were all top notch. I got the bison tomahawk and it was amazing. Our waiter was great in offering suggestions for pairings with the meals. 10/10 would recommend

Fantastic Steak Dinner

By LX97 |

As soon as you walk in, the service is great. This experience continued to the food. I had a steak which was delicious. We shared the lobster macaroni and cheese which was vey decadent. I can’t wait to go back.

Worst dining ever

By Steve B |

Way too expensive, looks like swayzes Road house from outside, bought $160 cash thinking 4 3 of us would be enough bill 450 bucks, steak worse than the golden corral and that's saying something total crooks, I've got money, but i hate being robbed if your a affluent British vacationist, stay clear hope the business never lasts..🤨👎👎

Not as good as it thinks it is!

By Pete V |

Not as good as it thinks it is. Look after the bigger tables who are paying the service charge.Steaks came with lots of butter - we declined the 'truffle butter' but were told 'all our steaks come with butter'. May be an idea to tell people that rather thank bring it. Would not recommend.

Disappointed

By Toni A |

Visiting from Texas, we were searching for a good restaurant for a great dinner. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Let me say, the staff was amazing, they couldn’t have been more attentive. My salad was swimming in dressing, I should have ordered it on the side. I ordered the halibut, no flavor. My husband ordered the bone-in ribeye, contained gristle and tough to cut.

Celebración Rethink

By Robert T |

We were a group of 4 , my son invited me for the "Lamb Chops " when they came the lamb became mutton, the waiter remarked or you want the lollipop s, previously my son had received what I would understand was spring lamb, the menu price for this dish is $69.00 as they did not have lamb one dish was returned, the remaining loin cutlets obviously tasted more of beef than mutton, due probable in part that all meat mostly steaks are all together, the house salad was limp and warm, bread wine lobster bisque all good, I'm sure Walt would be disappointed his town Celebration ( well worth the visit) had become a tourist trap over time and gourmet industry needs to rethink, Our bill was $512.00

Normally a good restaurant but tonight it was awful.

By Hospitality Expert |

The first dirty martini had no dirt. No olive juice at all. The server went to a different bartender for the second and it was perfect. My 8 oz filet was tasteless. Zero. I order a peppercorn sauce on the side and it was atrocious. Don’t order it. It was so thick it was like oatmeal. My fork could almost stand up and the taste was awful. I’ve eaten here many times and it was always good. Last night it was not. Could be new kitchen staff. But very disappointing especially for the price.

Best Steak House!!!

By Bruna D |

We had a great experience. Our waiter Shannon was so knowledgeable and helpful. Her steak presentation made me wanted to order every steak she presented. The ambience is so inviting and the food was amazing. Super recommend.

unprofessional

By Nikki J |

my husband and I wanted to enjoy a nice dinner and from the look of it, Charley's was great. everyone was nice while walking to the table. we were sitting for a few moments 'when one of the employees sings loudly " Because I'm an Island Boy" because my husband has dreads. and all the other employees started laughing!! so we finished and left. the food wasn't even anything to brag about.

Great Night

By Kahumpton |

We had a group of 20. I can’t speak for everyone but my experience was great. The appetizers were amazing what ever they were😂 they ordered a platter that had seared tuna, fried lobster in a lobster tail, calamari, and bacon wrapped scallops. All fantastic. I ordered the 8/9 wagu ribeye which was huge and delicious. The salad and bread that were served before the mains were really good. The stake was definitely top 3 I’ve ever had. The lobster mac and cheese was ok the asparagus was good. I was stuffed and of course we were served deserts. Not sure of the name of the cake I chose but it was amazing. The staff was amazing and the explanation of the steaks was really informative. We will definitely be back.

Great experience

By Muri29 |

This was one of the best experiences I ever had. The staff was great, polite, friendly. Our waiter, sorry forgot his name, was exceptional. The food was great, the atmosphere. It is pricey, but definitely worth it.

Meh

By Natalie |

Went because it was highly recommended by a friend. Service was okay. Food was meh. Definitely not worth what we paid for the meal. Sides were good. Left just feeling nauseous. Wouldn’t recommend.

Always looking forward to Charlies Steak House

By SteveR066 |

My wife and I visit charley's at least once per year for a anniversary dinner. Unfortunately since Covid we had to skip a couple years but we did make it back. The Menu is a little different but the quality and service is still top notch.

Way to make a non-satisfied customer happy!

By Bridget O |

Great service…. We had a little issue with a getting a different bottle of wine than ordered, but “Operating Partner”, Nico Caneva did go out of his way to reach out and make it right. We appreciate his professionalism and customer suervice.

CSH is over the top #1 steak house

By Shane F |

Over the top #1 steak house I am in loyal steak lover. I have been to probably 50 steakhouses Peter Lugar’s, The Palm, Keens, Sparks Del Frisco, Gibsons Al Biernat, Papa Brothers etc . I have to put CSH up there at the top of the list. Their wood grilled Char is phenomenal and salad and sides are equally as good. Did I forget to mention their cheese bread? Well forget Universal and Disney, I will come back to Orlando to eat at Charlie’s!

Great Dining Experience

By BaronB1955 |

Great experience as always, great beef, service and high energy atmosphere. No doubt among the top three steakhouses in Tampa, you will not be disappointed.

Yummy

By seanmcdermott22 |

Supreme food and service be Esmerelda. Steaks cooked perfectly. Has to be the best steakhouse in Orlando. Always a good evening.

Skylar made our experience perfect!

By Lilja L |

Wow! What an experience at Charley’s steak house. We had a reservation this evening at 18:45 for a group of 10 and were seated in the private room, everyone agreed on that Skylar was the best. Skylar took such good care of us! she was really professional, explained the menu really well and was more than happy to answer any questions we had. Food was amazing, I had the ceaser salad - a huge portion. The rest of the group tried out different steakes which the all loved. For desert we shared the triple chocolate cake, absolutely AMAZING! A huge thank you to Skylar!

Excellent

By CLANCYHAM |

Service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Our table had the filet & shrimp special and the pork chops. The chops were huge! The filet was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the bread, salad, and mashed potatoes. The butter cake is a must!

My favorite steakhouse

By NorthStar254935 |

I was solo, so I ate at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. The martini hit the spot. I ordered my go-to.. the Heritage bone in ribeye medium rare with lobster mac and cheese. I've had several different steaks at Charlie's, but that's my favorite. My steak was cooked to perfection. There is something about that hot grill and citrus wood. I can't wait until the next time!

Awesome Steak House

By TheRobinsons57 |

This was a Birthday Dinner for my wife. Atmosphere was great food was very tasty. The waitress (Alexis) was horrible at her job very unprofessional. She talk with the couple at the table next to us all while we we there. She had other tables as well, her last stop to talk was 25mins and I actually took a picture of her while she did it. For a bill of $160 we should have had much better service.

Best steak ever

By Laura |

This place has the best steak ever! We love steak and have ate at numerous places but one thing we find is if you ask for a larger steak to be cooked rare, it comes cold due to being difficult to keep hot in the middle. We ordered the 50 oz porterhouse and decided to go for medium but after hearing our discussion, Dan, our server recommended we get the steak how we like it and it came PERFECTLY COOKED. Absolutely amazing steak, bread, salad and wine. We couldn't have desert as we were too full! It's not cheap but would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

Amazing date

By Taze |

We went on Friday date with my husband( first time there), first the valet was great, we had no reservation however we’re cheerfully Received. We sat down ordered drinks and the meat display came! We ordered a Wagu beef just fabulous, sides with lobster, corn, garlic mashed all a delight. Price for quality just great and service beyond, the manager super service oriented. Now we think meat and that’s our favorite new spot.

Fancy, Expensive, and Unremarkable.

By John C |

When you charge $60 and up for a steak it better be damn good. It wasn't. With our table of 4, one was outstanding, 2 were good and one was just a gristly, chewy rib no better than many places at half the price. Outstanding service doesn't make up for a lousy steak. But if you like being ripped off on vacation this is a good place to dump 100's of dollars.

AFTER 35 YEARS IT’S LOST IT MAGIC

By Melanie A |

I’m from and live in England in the uk and been visiting Orlando and Charley’s steakhouse for over 35 years. It first started when I was about 7 years old with my younger sister with my parents who would take us there to the orange blossom trail location in which sadly has gone when we would visit Orlando twice a year once in the summer and again over Christmas for 2-3 weeks vacation each time and we would go to Charley’s at least 5 times on each vacation so about 10 times per year and this would happen each year for many many years while I was a child. Fast forward 35 years I’m now 42 years old with my own family. My beautiful wife and my two gorgeous children in which as a family of my own we also made Charley’s steakhouse international drive our tradition of going there at least 3-4 times each time we visite Orlando. Sadly we don’t visit Orlando each year but as my own family this is our 4 visit. We even got married in Orlando and had our wedding meal at Charley’s steakhouse international drive on 24th August 2015 which was amazing for me, my wife and two young children. Then on the 24th August 2022 on our wedding anniversary on our 2 week vacation with our 2 children we visit Charley’s steakhouse international drive and we are all so excited as this has been a long time waiting with everything that has been going on in the world. Everyone is excited with all the stories I’ve told my children about this place and them at the age for there first time to have there own steak. We turn up and get seated and straight away it just doesn’t feel right. I normally associate Charley’s with this aroma which hits you when your outside the restaurant which drags you into the restaurant but that has gone. They did give use a couple of of nice little touches with a anniversary card and complementary meatballs and ice cream. We make our order of 1 x porterhouse , 1 x Angus rib eye , 1 x fillet mignon and 1 x Kansas City and then we ordered 2 x desserts to take home. Sadly our experience was not great it wasn’t horrible just not great and as a family we where made to feel out of place and was very rushed as they couldn’t wait for us to go and also the standards of the food in my opinion has been lost. Please don’t get me wrong it’s not bad it’s still very very good but sadly for me and after having over 30 years of experience at eating at Charley’s steakhouse it has definitely lost it charm and soul and also the prices have gone through the roof. Again this doesn’t bother me if the food and standards was still the same. But sadly as said in my opinion Charley’s steakhouse is not the same it’s lost its aroma it’s lost its taste and now sadly it’s lost my family custom. Which is ashame as we planned to visit you at least 3 more time on our vacation in which ends on 3rd September 2022. So finally Charley’s I would like to say thank you for the memories for over 35 years but sadly this will be our last visit to you as sadly it’s lost its magic and it’s just not the same and I can’t justify paying them prices for a average steak meal. Thank you.

Great dinner

Shannon and Tara were excellent! We will definitely return! Great service and food. The experience was perfect. Thank you

Great dinner and amazing service!

By Laura A |

Our server Steve was amazing!!! The food and drinks were great! If you like steak, this is definitely your place. I prefer chicken and I loved my chicken dish! Highly recommended!

Very poor

By Harold W |

Good food rotten atmosphere. The steak had a little tough skin around part of the edge. Was not trimmed correctly. Attitude. Staff needs to have a real problem. Not a happy place. Never going back.

Charleys Makes Birthday Memorable

By ShirleyK |

We visited this evening to celebrate my birthday and we definitely wasn't disappointed. After a slight wait for our table, we was shown to the outside area where our table was decorated with edible orchids and a handwritten Birthday card. Ivan greeted us and gave us a very detailed description of all the available cuts. We then gave our order to Maria and Naoimi and Adrian brought us our food. I ordered the watermelon cocktail... yum!The steak and lamb was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We chose a couple of sides and that was plenty for a family of four. The Charleys salad and cheese bread was really tasty too. Finally I was presented with birthday ice cream topped with a candle. The staff were very friendly and attentive and greeted me with a happy birthday. Highly recommend Charleys and will definitely visit again next time we're in Florida. Thank you so much for making my birthday so special.

Not worth the hype and definitely not on par with the pricing.

By HOBY_1986 |

Our party of 5 were collectively disappointed with dinner. Server was pleasant but slow to address empty water glasses. Our group of 5 there for relaxing business dinner expected steaks on par with Flemings or Ruth Chris but unfortunately while good steaks were served they were only that good. Tomahawk prime ribeyes MR, M, Filets 12 oz MR, wagyu filet 6oz and the 50oz porterhouse. The best overall item served were the mushroom side. Compliments to the bar for two of the cocktails sampled: Mai tai and blueberry mojito. Service was much better in the bar (pre dinner drinks.) we ordered au gratin potatoes x3 servings based on server rec and no one at our table enjoyed and in fact two servings were untouched. Scallop appetizers were overcooked. $1000 dinner bill for 5 and a pre dinner bar bill of $200. Underwhelmed. Do not recommend when there are numerous nearby better fine dining steakhouse options.

Mmmmmm....The 50 oz Porterhouse for a group of 4 was DELICIOUS!

By lm4125 |

Try the 50 oz Porterhouse for a group of 3-4 people for a tender and delicious steak! We started out with the Cedar Planked Cauliflower for an appetizer, moved on to house salads, then ordered au gratin potatoes, lobster mac & cheese, and sauteed mushrooms for sides. It was a huge meal & everyone had a great time!

You Will Not Be Disappointed!

By Carl R |

Let me get to the point....INCREDABLE FOOD, friendly and wonderful service, beautiful establishment and a wonderful night! My wife had the Filet Mignon and it was perfectly cooked; I had the friend scrimp...hand breaded...both were wonderful! We ordered the Carliflower on the side...also just perfect! Salad comes with dinner and was exceptional...this is a great establishment!

Great place to eat

By Jfz |

This restaurant can be summed up in a few words. Great food, great prices, great service and great atmosphere. A top notch restaurant. After a horror meal the day before at Del Frisco’s where they brought a raw steak then recooked it to leather and refused to compensate a 468.00 check. Only saying next time will be better. Charley’s was such a nice experience. Their staff knows their steaks and how to cook each cut. Plus always asking if it’s ok. Del Frisco’s only see staff for order and check. Only things that matter.

Great food and service

By Hannah |

Great service, great food, Chad had great knowledge of food available. Thank you for a great evening!

Great food great service!

By Sam O |

I had dinner with my family last week while visiting Orlando. We were craving steak and our hotel recommended Charley’s. It did not disappoint! From the beginning to end, we had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our server Erleen was the best server we have ever had! She was knowledgeable, accommodating and especially entertaining! She made us feel like family! Ask for her if you ever dine there! The food was hot and delicious. A bit on the higher priced end but so worth it. Make sure to get the sweet butter cake to end your meal; you won’t regret it!

An amazing Birthday experience!

By Leslie K |

Wow! An incredible dining experience with top notch service from the entire staff from the young lady/Hostess who greeted us at the front desk and remembered me from their sister restaurant, to the server Steven and the manager Tic Khouvongsvan everything was great. We split the salad which is quite ample and I love that it has diced olives in it, the rolls were warm out of the oven and topped with melted cheese and so good. My husband had the single pork chop which he could not finish and was big and I had the stone crab since the season had just started and they were fresh, sweet and tasted like they had just come out of the ocean. The crab was served cold with a delicious mustard sauce and there were a lots of crab legs provided. We also had the cauliflower which is coated and baked in a guryere cheese, mayo and onion toping and I had lots to take home as it is an entire caulflower and I hope to try and make it at home some day as it is so good and tasty. I had a dessert ice cream with strawberries which the restaurant was kind enough to provide gratis as it was my Birthday. Service by Steven was very good-all drinks replenished, checked on the food temp and if it was to our liking and was nice and responded quickly to all of my food needs. The Manager Tic also checked to ensure that all food was satisfactory and we had a nice chat on the restaurant business. She was very kind and so easy to talk to and not stuffy or made me feel rushed in any way at the table. When we left everyone-the grill folks, the front desk staff and the manager said good bye and wished me a happy birthday. It does not get any better than this!

Excellent steak house -be prepared 20% gratuity and high end costs although my opinion worth every penny

By Anna |

Exceptional restaurant. Driver parks car on arrival giving a nice touch . Service amazing -with full details on steak at table . Everything cooked to perfection

More than a dinner.

By Desiree Howell |

Firstly, I would like to say that the atmosphere at Charley's Steakhouse was amazing. Angel and Shannon were professional and knowledgeable about the cuisine. Having dinner at Charley's is more than eating; it's an experience. Angel and Shannon handled our party of 14 without skipping a beat. My steak was cooked to perfection, and the sharable sides were unique and flavorful. I highly recommend it, and be sure to ask for Angel and Shannon.

You get what you pay for

By daddiojiggy |

Fortunately , that's a good thing. While it is not cheap, service and taste were fantastic. That's all i have to say but character count is low.

Excellent wait staff and food

By wendy a |

Our waiter was very nice and friendly, he was from Italy and had some great stories. We started out with bacon wrapped scallops which were very good, then we got some cheddar bread and salads. I got the Caesar and my husband the wedge. The wedge salad was excellent! It had what we thought was pork belly on it, super tasty. We then got a strip, a filet, cauliflower, au gratin potatoes, and three sauces to try on the steaks. The bernaise was my fav. The cauliflower was an absolute must try! All around this restaurant was very good, expect to pay a hefty price, but it was well worth it.

Good ambience, service. Substandard steak

By friar92 |

Classic steak house ambience and decor. Service was very good. Ordered $69 NY strip. Ordered Medium Rare and came out as ordered. But meat was flavorless and tough, difficult to chew. I would assume Prime at those prices but I should have asked.

Good, but not Great

By jim2424 |

I went to Charley's with a group of people. I had never been before but it was touted as being the best in the area. The service was very good. They were attentive, but at the end, we couldn't find a waiter for another drink. It was strange. The food. The appetizers were tasty - we had the shrimp and the crab. The crab wasn't as tasty as the shrimp. It lacked something. The dinner. I had the filet. It was tender and very rich. But it wasn't the best I've ever had. It had a strange smokey flavor to it that wasn't all that pleasing. Not sure if that's their thing, but it didn't taste good to me. I ended up leaving a bit. Lastly, I had the chocolate cake. That was delicious. A huge slice that can definitely be shared. I've been to every high-end steakhouse you can name and I don't think this place matches up. I really wanted to like this place. However, I wouldn't go back again. There are better options.

One of the best steaks

By Alex4orlando |

This is your classic steakhouse. You taste the difference between this and most other steak houses. Perfect cook, perfect sear and full of flavor.

Excellent!

By Leslie K |

We had a talk of the town certificate so we decided to give Charley's steak house a try as we were frequest Vito's visitors. We had a wonderful meal of a grilled pork chop, I had double chicken breasts, salads which were included with the meal and baked cauliflower which was a big standout. Everything was very tasty, cooked to perfection and the service by Blake was exceptional. The manager Emily came by and we had a very nice chat about NYC which I enjoyed. We never felt rushed and all items were piping hot when they came out. We will be back again!

Won’t find better food anywhere!

By buddyringo |

From the minute you step in the door, til the minute you leave, the entire staff treats you like royalty. I had the double chicken breast and it was hugs and my wife went with a pork chop that was big enough for about three meals. The Au gratin potatoes were absolutely delicious. The server Dan was completely professional . He never let our glasses get empty and was answered our questions completely. The food was prepared pretty quick and was made perfectly. The flavors are amazing and we would recommend this place to anyone that can afford to go. It is pricy but the service and food are 5 star.

Great experience , great food!!

By pdenisehoward |

We loved the food, variety of options, atmosphere and the service with Erleen was great!!! She was very attentive to what we needed before we knew it and was very personable!! LOVE this place!

Over priced, food quality poor

By John C |

Steak was to salted, everything else ovepriced, two wine choices not in stock, was recommended this restaurant by some very trusted people, unfortunately I will recommend stay away, £250.00 bill, you could eat for 3 nights in nice Orlando restaurants for that

Pricey but worth it

By Suzy C |

A bit pricey but worth it. We got two different cuts of steak, chicken and a pork chop. They were all amazing. We also got drinks, an appetizer of crab cakes and the wedge salad. Honestly some of the best food we've ever had. The service was also excellent. Definitely recommend!!

Charley’s Steakhoise Orlando

By Cedric L |

By far, the best restaurant in the US!!! I have been to many steakhouses across the country. When you eat at Charley’s, you get the best land and sea place in the US!

Anniversary celebration!!!!!

By agp1021 |

We celebrated our 28th anniversary at Charley’s Steakhouse. Charley’s did an outstanding job of recognizing our Anniversary. Our server was named Nico very friendly and knowledgeable of steaks. The presentation of steaks was a great touch. I ordered the Wagyu Tomahawk ribeye ($150.00) cooked perfect. My wife got the colossal Seafood tower ($199.99) for her dinner. Charley’s was a great place to celebrate our Anniversary.

Valentines Day

By regan and matt |

My husband and I went for Valentine‘s day dinner and ordered fillet and ribeye. The server did not have a great attitude but she did try her best. It was packed. The food was not hot but somewhat warm. I feel like we could have cooked the same steak at home for half the price. The ambience was great but overall just an average experience.

Nice

By Imogen |

Didn’t realise the restaurant was quite so fancy when we turned up - our server was in a tux! Don - our waiter - was very friendly and knowledgable. The cuts of steak are bought to the table so you know what size and cut you are ordering. You get salad and hot bread complimentary before your food. Although it’s really lovely don’t eat too much of it or you will be full before your course! We had the fillet mignon, New York strip and a double chicken breast, augratin potatoes and bacon and cheddar mash. The steaks and chicken were amazing, but the augratin potatoes were dry and not what was expected. The asparagus was greasy. Everyone seems to take home a ‘doggy bag’ of the food not eaten (probably because it is very expensive) which we also did. The food and experience was great but I’m not sure I would go back because of the price. For two glasses Of wine, one cocktail and three main courses plus three sides, we spent over $250 and for similar steak houses in the UK it would be half that. However the steak is cooked on a special grill with wood chip which you can definitely taste and the waiters dressed up gives it a nice touch.

Great steakhouse

By Jukka R |

Excellent dry age porterhouse accompanied with perfect Napa Cabernet Sauvignion. Great service and warm atmospheres

Charley's Steak House Orlando

By Panos H |

Nothing is better (at least for me) than the look and the feel of a good steakhouse. If the decor and other aspects of the interiors of the steakhouse are the 80s with a faint smell of cigarettes and alcohol, this is the place. Of course all these with the combination of good steak which is cooked in exactly the way you love to eat it.

Not what I was expecting.

By TideX18 |

Was a warm humid night and they sat is outside on the patio. They had fans but that only made it tolerable. The food was good not great as the prices suggested should be. Service was good, but not anything special. I may return but will request a seat inside next time.

Disappointed

By Fluffy1Sue2 |

Disappointed Lovely food.....assured of a last drink at the bar went to the bar refused a last drink outlined we were assured of a last drink & how much we spent on our dinner shrugged shoulders & made to feel like peasants despite a $500 Bill for dinner for two.....spend your hard earned money elsewhere....they may appreciate it more....have been to this restaurant a couple of times.saddly disappointed on this occasion

Not terrible but not great

By 535np |

Very nice restaurant in terms of the visual aspect. Waiters very good and they know their stuff. However the main part of any restaurant visit is the food. Starter, salad and bread all very nice. Steak for the price was below the mark. Medium rare steak arrived and was more just under well done. A lot of the outside of the steak was so burnt it further ruined the steak. Lacked taste that you would expect. Mashed potatoes well they were just awful. Mac and cheese was very nice. Sides were massive so one between two is more than enough. Overall steak was a 6/10. Worse part of the meal in the “suggested” tip. Machine goes to 25% straight away high end tip is suggested at 30%. If you are delivering an overcooked steak I don’t think suggesting those tips are appropriate

An Expensive and Dreadful experience.

By Carolyn H |

My husband and I went to Charley's Steak House on the evening of April 24, 2022. My husband asked about the dress code and was told it is "smart casual " ...when we arrived others who were also entering were dressed in anything but "smart casual." Needless to say, this was the first of many issues with the evening. The food was horrible...the appetizer, escargot, was tasteless, the salads were drowning in salad dressing, and the steaks were overcooked and tasteless...the shrimp that was on top of the steaks were overcooked and tough. The only positive was our server who was delightful. We will never return to this poor excuse of fine dining.

Disappointing! Over cooked Filet Mignon; a la carte pricing. Brilliant service along with a delicious baked potato😳

By Stephanie E |

Over cooked a la carte Filet. Service is excellent! A la carte baked potato was delicious. I do not send my food back, I just do not return! Probably safe to say, we should have eaten at Volcano Bay! Do Better!

Exceptional dining experience

By Gary |

Don S was our waiter and he provided exceptional service. First class all the way. The food was first class and fabulous. We had a great dining experience.

Sad they ruined evening by pushing a charity, makes you feel like you have to contribute Food was good but overpriced

By Y6383MVMary |

The food was excellent but I thought for as much as you spend they hit you up for a charity. I have never heard of a high end restaurant pushing a charity as they stand there and expect you to contribute. Absolutely will never go back.

Best Steak house on International Drive Orlando

By Neil H |

I wholeheartedly recommend dining at the spot on International drive. The service was exceptional with the server explaining in detail the different steaks and what wine and sides to pair with the steak of your choice. Additonally, if you are unfamiliar to the temperature it should be cooked at, your server is well equipped. The crab cakes are to die for, real, plentiful crab cakes served on a plank. Don't just get two, double the order, you wouldn't be disappointed. As for the steak, the T-Bone cured with the garlic butter melting on the top, to die for. Highly recommended.

New Year’s Eve Dinner was excellent!

By NJOYNC2CA |

Charley’s has everything five stars! Food, service, atmosphere all top notch. We had the Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye, Creamed Corn and Lobster Mac and Cheese. Salad included with a literal scoop of blue cheese. The steak was above perfect. So tasty with no need for any extras but you could get them if you want. Service was outstanding. All our needs were met. Highly recommend. Enjoy!

5th year anniversary

By Amanda D |

Alexis B. Was absolutely amazing! I have had dinner at the Charlie’s n Tampa multiple times and the service had always been subpar. She is an absolute delight. She makes me want to come back to the Orlando location.

Great experience will return

By dickaWestonSuperMare |

Had a drink at the bar before our table was ready, bar staff were great, very attentive. Ensured drinks were right. Waitress was great salad was amazing, as was the baked potato, my steak was cooked just right, a little too much salt for my liking but I don't have salt on my food normally, my wife's steak was just a little under cooked. Overall a great experience will definitely return next time we are in Florida

Service was great, food was not

By Sean |

I have been here before several years ago and had a great experience. However my girlfriend and I recently went to this location on I-drive for a date night. We ordered dry-aged steaks and I just wasn't impressed with the steak. The sides were average in my opinion. The steak seemed very burnt on the outside and more rare in the middle. Normally I like a little char on my steak but this was too much. It effected the entire flavor and I was simply disappointed. There are many more options for a quality steak in Orlando and I would recommend you try some place other than Charlies.

Big Disappointment

By PhilO1985 |

I was expecting great things from this restaurant, the oysters and calamari were really good, but the we got a big surf and turf Fillet Mignon, it looked great, but what a huge disappointment, we got it rare, which was spot on, but there was no flavour to it at all, same with the lobster, I’m not even sure it was fresh, but the steak was the biggest let down, I actually had a better steak, the night before in the cheesecake factory, so that said it all, I’m used to fine dining in England, and this is far from it, poor quality unfortunately, hoping it was a one off, but at least season my steak, was just bland and tasteless. Very disappointing and a huge bill for no quality :(

First Time Visit

By John D |

I will start off by establishing this is not my first visit to a high-end steakhouse. I've come to know what to expect when visiting this type of establishment. My list of "PROS" would be your typical... - Servers were exceptionally good. Friendly, attentive, knowledgable. - Atmosphere was pleasant, room temperature was comfortable. - Facility was clean, from bathroom to dining room, to host area, to kitchen area visible. - Dessert (chocolate cake), and side dishes (mashed potatoes, asparagus) were very good. but the reason you come to a "Charley's Steakhouse" came up short. I was asked "How would I like my 8oz. filet, and I replied "Medium well", and the server and I said at the same time, "A little pink". It came back very well done - no pink. I advised the gentleman that came to our table, and he offered to take it and bring me a new one cooked exactly as requested, but I'm not big on returning food to the kitchen, or throwing out an 8oz. filet. There seemed to be little...concern, for the overcooked steak. Perhaps it was because we were there attending a fundraiser. Perhaps because they feel they're well-established, and the fact my steak was not cooked to order would not harm their reputation. Don't know. But, if you read my many, many other restaurant reviews, you know what this means for my future patronage possibilities of Charley's Steakhouse.

Incredible food, people care here

By Tripking07 |

We had an incredible experience at Charley's. It was our anniversary and they made it special. The Filet we both had was amazing. Service was really good and our server was really helpful. From start to finish, this was a home run.

Outanding!!!

By Julia D |

Everything was excellent. The Porterhouse, salads, bread, mushrooms & broccoli ... yummie. Perhaps John/Waiter, the best with recommendations! John, we look forward to return on next year vacations! Highly recommended!

Absolutely dreadful, service standards and quality is absolutely appalling.

By Stephen12341234 |

Absolutely appalling, the service levels are absolutely dreadful. The staff either have no idea or don’t care about the quality of food coming out. The kitchen is absolutely shocking. Staff will put an empty plate down in front of you and don’t seem to even question why. I had to ask 4 times for my Gin & Tonic. My $125 steak came out, it was cold, It was the wrong steak, It was delivered to the wrong table yet. The staff seem to blunder on getting everything wrong and given the absolutely sky high prices it is Shocking.

Best steak house experience ever

By Jorge p |

I had one of the best dinners of my life here with my family. We all enjoyed it. The service was so detailed, and he explain everything so perder honestly top-tier. I will definitely be back and I will definitely ask for Angel again such of great experience I will rate it 10 stars if I could Thank you Angel cintron ….

Train waiter to be polite.

By kenny m |

Pitiful service. Had a drink and got up and left. Waiter should be a jail warden on death row. Cut you off before you even said what you wanted, not once but 3 times. I m like this guy is a real not social person who belongs on an island alone.

An amazing dining experience

By Penny H |

Amazing! We wandered upon Charley’s by accident. Five stars all the way! Service was amazing to say the least. We passed on appetizers which was a good choice. I had the house salad with bacon and my husband has the Caesar. Both were exceptional. We were also served bread. Seriously amazing but don’t fill up. I ordered the 8oz center cut filet mignonette and my husband ordered the 12 oz. cooked to perfection Medium. We ordered the bacon cheddar mash potatoes. Amazing and way too much. Enough for four people. I can’t say enough about the outstanding experience. The steaks were perfection! Now a word to warn..... this is not Sizzler. This is a five star gourmet restaurant. Be prepared to spend accordingly!!! Fine dining at its best!,,

Where do I begin about this restaurant from the valet and on the staff and service is A1. Our server Ivan was absolutely phenomenal he was very attentive to our needs and made our 1st time experience a memorable one. The food was so good and I would highly recommend eating here if you’re in Orlando.

Just the best!

By ukinmiami |

This was a top 10 meal of all time! Just amazing! From the greeting, to the server to the i creditable steak, the decor of the restaurant. Everything was perfect and definitely will be back!

Absolutely Fantastic

By Virginia S |

We booked in advance as we had a birthday to celebrate . The food was amazing ! The steaks are cooked on oak fired grills and were perfectly cooked to our liking. The starter of cheesy bread was like something I’ve never tasted before . As the staff were told in advance of my partners birthday they had a birthday card and a dessert plate with happy birthday written on it. The cocktails were delicious too. Highly recommended ! Truly Michelin star !!

Best steakhouse in Orlando!

By Mary-LuciaB |

Loved this steakhouse! The atmosphere and service paired perfectly with the delicious tomahawk steak served table side as well as the Caesar salad! The cocktails were on point too and our teenagers loved their meals. We will definitely be back next time we are in Orlando!
