Truly special

By Traveler32033244327 |

A dear friend and I have been going to dinner together for our one splurge at a conference we both attend for many years. This year the conference was in Orlando, and we tried Chatham's Place. The service was outstanding, and the food just as good. It's our tradition to order different things and share bites: we both got appetizers, entrees, and desserts, and all six were excellent... plus they threw in a few extras. Definitely going back if we're ever in town again.

Chatham’s, a truly great dinning experience for a 21st anniversary!

By andrew c |

My wife and I dined here for our first time last night! It was our 21st Anniversary. We sat next to the piano played by Bob Rose. He entertained with a mix of jazzy blues, Sinatra, a few show tunes and even a Water Music instrumental! I have to say, I’m not sure what we liked best, the food, the music, the friendly and accommodating staff, the wine themed decor and quaintness, or the fact that all these attributes came together to make a truly outstanding experience! Peter did a fantastic job as sommelier, his suggestion was right on the money! Sergio was great! Kevin did a fantastic job! Chef Tony Lopez even made an appearance. And there were several others that helped to pull things together! My wife and I have been to some very good restaurants in our time, including The French Laundry, Per Se, numerous other top restaurants in NY, and we have frequented Victoria and Alberts here in orlando. And although all of those are great restaurants, Chatham’s Place is able to pull it off with a special charm and character! Truly a winner!

Perfect!

By Clemson_Dad58 |

Came from South Carolina to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We had the duck and rack of lamb. Both were prepared perfectly. The service was outstanding. I very highly recommend this place. We came to Orlando to eat at Victoria and Albert’s. Their snobbish “we are full but will get back to you and let you know if we can accommodate you” was unacceptable. We are so happy they acted this way as we now have our favorite Orlando restaurant...Chathams Place. Thank you Chatham’Place for making this a truly memorable anniversary.

Outstanding food. Outstanding

Outstanding food. Outstanding service. If you are in Orlando do not miss Chatham’s Place. The white chocolate soufflé is not to be missed.

Over priced, no wine service

By drjoe597 |

I don’t like to write negative reviews, but $52 dollars for 4 oz of grouper or snapper was overly priced and a starch or vegetable was $12 extra. The pecan encrusted grouper was inedible due to using salted pecans and Worcestershire sauce. The snapper francaise was acceptable.

Great service, fine dining

By bjnomads |

A return trip and another great meal this time. We started with some rye from their extensive spirits collection. The starters were very well done. The seared ahi tuna with pico de gallo and a side of quattro formaggio pasta was an interesting combination. The oysters on the half shell were very fresh as well. The mains were also excellent- their classic dish of florida grouper with pecan butter and onions is always worth coming back for, and the sliced tomahawk steak special with greens and tomatoes was also an enjoyable dish. The wine list is exceptional with a lot of great bottles. The service is exceptional- attentive, informative, and pleasurable, from the moment you walk in until the end.

Date hotspot

Adorable date night when you want to do something a little different. Food had huge flavor profiles and left you with that too full but you don't wanna stop eating feeling

Perfection

By Jodigirl17 |

This place is amazing. Very intimate, upscale interior, with the warmest welcome from every single staff member. Sergio greeted us at the door and apologized that we were seated at a high top table, although we were grateful to have any table as we made the reservations earlier that day. It was a last minute choice, based solely on the Trip Advisor ranking, and it was a fabulous choice! Dinner was phenomenal-every course was impeccably served & distinctly flavored, cooked to perfection. The penne pesto (served table side) was the best pesto we’ve had in a long time. My husband enjoyed the grouper with crab, and I had the chicken a la Bruce. It was so tender my husband didn’t believe it was chicken! There were so many little touches (the amuse bouche, the heated plates, the limoncello at the end of our meal, the delightful piano player) that really made this an outstanding experience. Hugo, our server, was lovely and attentive. Peter the sommelier helped us select an outstanding bottle of wine, and the only negative I can say is that the restaurant he recommended for our dinner the next night (on property at the Ritz Carlton/JW Marriott) was nothing in comparison to our Chatham’s Place experience.

Don’t Judge A Book By It’s Cover

By Saronbell |

When we pulled up to the parking lot I was wondering if we made a mistake. We ventured inside to a hidden gem. It was cost and charming and we were greeted with warmth. The service was fabulous and the food was absolutely delicious. There was so much to choice, something for everyone. I would recommend their white chocolate flourless soufflé.. to die for. Would definite be revisiting next time in Orlando.

Overpriced

By Auntanne1 |

Will never be a Michelin star chef! Overpriced because they only have one seating per night.I would not recommend this restaurant when you can get Michelin rated dining in this area.

Great food, great service, spend the evening with friends

By aquas_aquas |

Chatham’s Place is a truly special gem and a unique experience in Orlando. The service is impeccable and they make you feel especially welcome from the moment you sit down and they notify you that this is your table for the night, “enjoy, take your time, we’re here to take care of you,” through to the time you leave. This is not a restaurant to go to if you’re in a hurry, it’s an escape from the hustle and bustle, a time to savor. The food is nothing less than excellent, very fresh and accommodating from prime cuts of beef, lamb, and fish, to pasta, salads, and sides. And if you have time, order the soufflé, it’s worth it! Be sure to bring a request or two for Bob Rose, the piano player, who will likely apply a unique rendition, for you, for the occasion, for the night.

Best ever

My wife and I dined atChatham’s Place tonight celebrating her 72 birthday. Everyone from Lisa making the reservation to Javier our waiter made it a special dinner. We both enjoy good food and Chef Lopez did not disappoint us. We have dined there before and experienced great food. Returning there is a treat. The cocktails are ample and the wine list has something for everyone. We had the appetizer specials ( beet salad and the eggplant) . They were as good as it gets. The Salmon special for my vegetarian wife was fantastic. I would have opted for the tomahawk steak but 39 ounces of aged beef was just too much so I ate healthy and had the Creole chicken was nothing short of scrumptious. Even their loaf of sourdough bread stuffed with feta cheese was ethereal. We were stuffed so no room for desert- maybe next time! When you not just above average but a great meal this is the place to go. I forgot to mention the ambience and Bob Rose on the piano. I should not have since it adds to the experience!

Came in from Atlanta to support

By Sarahlee40 |

Came in from Atlanta to support our favorite restaurant after they had closed for a couple months. Arrived for 6pm reservations. Warm greeting from Javier and of course Lorenzo and Chef Tony. Everyone expressed their genuine thanks for us coming in. Brought my husband’s parents. The food was as amazing as usual. I had the tuna and fresh made guacamole appetizer with passion fruit vinaigrette, then the snapper special with the cauliflower au gratin. And of course I always get the soufflé! Finally finished with a cappuccino, and then limoncello - best anywhere in the US. Service was fantastic from the whole team. We just love the whole experience here. Thank you so much and we’ll be back in October.

Amazing Restaurant and Ambiance

By Laura C |

One of my favorite restaurants in the country. Had not been to Orlando in the 7 years since we discovered Chathams. Walked in and it was exactly the same, including the piano player and waiter. The food and wine were superb. Very small so make your reservations early. Most of their clientele are regulars.

Best Restaurant in Orlando

By Neale S |

The whole experience was superb. The food? Outstanding. The sommelier? On the ball. The service? Flawless (thank you Lorenzo) I was hesitant to do a review because this needs to stay a hidden gem

Great experience

By Lloyd H |

Every course was carefully prepared and offered so much, haven't been to Chathams for 13 years, before they updated the restaurant. Really enjoyed it and must shout out to the staff there, all knew the menu and wine very well and were top servers which added to our enjoyment.

Fabulous 5 Star Dining Experience

By Garnett D |

We had dinner there last night. I have eaten in many fine dining restaurants especially in Europe but have NEVER had an experience as wonderful as this!! To say the ambience, service, and FOOD are exceptional is completely inadequate!! It was ALL FABULOUS!!! Every person treated us as their personal guest. It’s a romantic restaurant, the decor is dark and romantic, the service is way above 5 star and the food is sumptuous !! Plus, they have a wonderful pianist playing while you savor every bite!!! This is hands down THE BEST restaurant in Orlando or anyplace I have ever eaten!!! We will definitely be returning!!!

Special non-special occasion

By Randy46236 |

This place is special. Incredible full package dinner with service rarely experienced by a team of servers, chef and cook staff who truly are family. The joy of the experience greatly exceeded an excellent meal. If I was a local, we’d be weekly regulars. Beyond excellent. GO.

Top 5 Star all the way!

By worldtraveler428 |

Top 5 Star all the way! From the moment you enter the restaurant til you leave. This place rivals New York’s top restaurants in every way. This is my second time enjoying dinner and I hope I can return before the end of the year. On this occasion we sat outdoors and I decided to bring my own wine to celebrate my friends birthday. Everything our meal was perfect! Everything I’ve ever tried here is amazing! You cannot go wrong! Counting the days til I can return!

A flawless fantastic experience

By CruisingBarneys |

Food, ambiance, service. Everything about our dinner was completely on point. While the meal was expensive it was a rare occasion that I woke up the next day and didn't feel any receipt shock. My biggest issue with the "high end" chain steakhouses lately that rush you through a $50 piece of meat. Everyone in my party loved their dinners from the filet to grouper. It was all just perfect. Chef Lopez was on the floor overseeing the prep to presentation and took the time to ask us about our meals and thank us for our patronage. What a class act. Thanks to everyone ay Chatham's for making our evening very special. Next time we are in Orlando we will definitely be back.

Piano player sets the stage for a wonderful night.

By Woodwilly |

Off the busy streets of Orlando step into a respite for foodies. Piano player taking requests. Setting the mood First class service. Fine dining at its best. Highly recommend for a special occasion. Chef/owner visits every table. So many small touches making our night a very memorable experience. Even small stools for a ladies handbag so it would not be on the floor.

One of a kind! GREAT dining experience!?

By Hillview61 |

Dined here with friends recently! The food, service and ambiance is phenomenal ....truly defies description!! This is a very special occasion restaurant!! Kudos to Chathams!!!

Just May be the Very Best Restaurant in Orlando

By Larrymore S |

We have been impressed with this restaurant for many years and it just seems to get better year after year. There are so many things to recommend it. It is in a wonderful setting. The service could not be better anywhere in the world. Wonderful wine and cocktail selection. Great food. The Jazz Pianist, Bob Rose provides a wonderful ambiance. The Florida Black Grouper is delicious. The Rack of Lamb and the Filet Mignon wonderfully prepared. This I just a really class place to celebrate a special ocassion even if it’s just that the Sun came up this morning. You’ll love it.

Called ahead and made a reservation

By Sarahlee40 |

Called ahead and made a reservation for my husband’s birthday. Arrived just before our reservation to be greeted by Javier and were seated immediately. Chris was our server tonight and he was great. As always it was nice to have Lorenzo and Chef Tony’s presence around to ensure everything was perfect. Bob on the piano was a highlight. For starter I had the tuna tartare, my son the rigatoni bolognese, my husband the caprese - all were amazing. For entrees I had the grouper Mauricio (always missing Maurice when here), my son the Italian combo and my husband had the NY strip beef stew appetizer as an entree. Just wow - everything was perfection. For dessert of course we had soufflés but my husband had the limoncello. Truly the limoncello is the best here anywhere and we’ve have it in multiple places in Italy. It was funny because we were told last night the special was gnocchi. We just missed it by one night. When Chef Tony realized this, he made a special plate for us and brought it out as we were finishing our desserts. As you can imagine, we were stuffed; but, we made sure and devoured the gnocchi. For sure they were the best we’ve ever had. Chatham’s by far is the best restaurant in the world to us. The food, the atmosphere, the drinks, the music, the service, the feeling of family - there is just no comparison. To the nincompoop who said “It isn’t here” in a previous review, you are sorely mistaken. And to your definition of a superior restaurant asking if guests liked the taste of their food??? Chathams doesn’t have to ask... they know it is second to none and of course everything has tasted excellent. We will be back again and again and again. The drive from Atlanta is well worth it.

Best Restaurant in Orlando

By Sara V |

Once again Chatham's Place shows us why this is the best place in Orlando. The food is impeccable and the service is out of this world. Many places around come and go, but Chatham's always stays because is firm in its philosophy "Create an experience while dining treating the costumers as friends and family" Kudos to Chef Tony and his team and cheers for many more years at the top.

Nice piano music. Overpriced, stuffy, and plain.

By Achaunceyt2 |

Way overpriced and plain food. Nice live piano music. Go here if you have money to burn and don’t really care about interesting food. My black grouper (pictured) was good enough. It had some pecans on top but was otherwise a piece of sautéed fish. I guess its very high “market price” cost goes to help pay the piano player.

Best experience ever!

By Companion43165779799 |

Best dining experience ever!! Epitome of fine dining. Service was top notch, thank you Kevin and crew. The Sommelier, Peter, was outgoing and very knowledgeable. What a cohesive team! Wonderful food. A treat of an evening!

Looking for another Great ding]ning experience..

By thomaslf156 |

We have eaten there several times over the past 3-4 years..Most visits provided great service and good food, however our meal on 7 June 2018 was not what we were used to in many ways..We arrived on time and were promptly seated and recognized several of the waiters. Our waiter was new to us but seemed fine..when placing our wine order for a bottle of Sancerre he initially stated that they did not carry it..we told him that we had had it several times before..he left and checked and sure-enough he found it..no big deal..The menu is fairly standard but they have a long list they go over with specials with a somewhat "hard-sell"..Each of the 3 of us ordered different main courses, some pasta special, a bone in rib eye, and grouper with various sides..The steak was priced at $140.00 on our bill and tasted like it was left over, overdone and tough as a new shoe, the grouped was dry and lifeless, a real disappointment, the Pasta was "pasta"..nothing memorable..Truly disappointing..Having eaten at Ocean Prime the previous night we wished we had eaten there again..Our bill for 3 people with 3 drinks and the bottle of wine was just over $500.00 with tip..WAY OVER-RATED..The Steak was a JOKE and not on the menu..I will stick with Vines, Ocean Prime or Vito's for superior food..Never again at Chatham's..

New favorite restaurant in Orlando

By Victoria F |

Wow! What an experience. Very charming ambiance with live piano and intimate setting! The food was incredible and on top of their menu items they had so many great specials! We had the pasta as an appetizer special, the duck and lamb. Wow it was sooo good! Will absolutely be back! Hugo our server was also great and made our experience even more special.

As I saw from another reviewer - One of a kind!

By Sarahlee40 |

Chatham’s is like no other. My husband and I have been coming here for about 10 years whenever we’re in Orlando. Originally we stumbled upon the place and were wowed with what we found inside. Every visit is better than the last. Saturday night was no exception. After years of arranging reservations with Liza, I was happy to meet her. She was a lovely host when we arrived. Lorenzo had a wonderful table ready for us. It was 3 of us this time - my husband and I, plus a first time, local visitor to Chatham’s. My cosmo to start was perfect as usual, as were the wine recommendations. We had a penne pasta starter, followed by the special burrata, mushroom soup, tenderloins medallions, black grouper and THE Tomahawk (WOW), with of course the cauliflower side. Everything was amazing. Chocolate cake and cherries jubilee for dessert and homemade limoncello. Bob on the piano was as awesome as usual. Everything was just perfect and we can’t wait to come back.

The greatest restaurant

By Andres P |

I just want it to be known. I have been to 14 countries in Europe and was born and raised in Miami. This is not some Midwest review. I know good quality food. This was the greatest experience I have ever had; to the point where I physically cried because the experience was just that amazing. Lorenzo was the greatest server. This man made serving look like an art. Lisa offered my girlfriend a Shawl when she was cold. This is that extra touch that makes me upset it does t have a Michelin’s star. The only negative review is that it was not 5 stars. Like wtf is wrong with these people. Giving this amazing place less than 5vstars is a crime to humanity. If you choose anywhere in Orlando to eat it had to be this place nothing else. Just this place. Only place you need to eat from.

best culinary expereince in Orlando

By Patricio G |

Everything is superb. My favorite is the Peking Duck. While Orlando is infamous for its high priced culinary tourist traps, Chathams is where the locals find solace.

Top of the line, across the board

By DavidORear |

This is truly a fine dining experience. From the greeting at the door to the impeccable service (thank you, Kevin!), masterful presentations and subtle flavors to the special touches and live music, it is going to be a special night. I like my rack of lamb medium to medium-well, and it was perfect. My wife’s cajun style grouper could have been a disaster of overwhelming spices, but not in Chef Tony’s hands. The baked cauliflower had exactly the right (light) amount of cheese, and was cooked to perfection. You pay for what you get, gladly. $130 for 1-1/2 bottles of wine; $200 for food, and $100 for a very well deserved tip.

21st anniversary!!!

Impeccable staff and service! The food is simply delightful, a truly Michelin Guide restaurant and experience. Lovely experience!!!

Amazing Service and Food - Believe the Reviews

By DwillsyDeb |

From the moment we walked in the door, the place felt like we were "home" and had been there before. The hostess greeted us, showed us to our table and circled back around several times during our meal to see how things were going. It was a dear friends birthday so we wanted a special night and it was indeed. NOTE: June is NO corkage fee month at Chatham's!! We brought 2 special bottles of wine to enjoy. Peter, the sommelier, was familiar with both and he spent a great deal of time with us. If you want to chat, he is happy to share his knowledge with you. Very educational and personable gentleman. Our server, Javier, and his team were amazing. We never wanted for anything from having our water glasses refilled without asking to clearing plates to just about anything. They seemed to anticipate our needs. The food outstanding from the appetizers to main course to the Cauliflower au Gratin side dish (had to mention so yummy). There are lots of really good dining places in the Dr. Phillips area, but Chatam's has risen to the top of our list. Oh, be sure to make a reservation in advance!!!

If it's Chatham's Place, your in heaven.

By HonestFeedback16 |

We first visited in 2003. I don't think the decor has changed, and the food has been consistently delicious. Their wine selection is superb. Their wine pairing offering will give you the chance to experience how wine enhances all aspects of food. If you have a question about a wine or grape, Peter has the experience and knowledge. There is no hard sell on their specials. The menu is varied and descriptive, the specials are Chef's creations. We have not tried everything over the years, but We have always been please and impressed with Chef's creations. It is a small but extremely comfortable space. A romantic dining experience and quite than you would think when you are seated. The staff are patient and attentive. You are treated to 5 star service. Very few restaurants in Orlando area that give you excellent service, gourmet delights and vast wine selections. I was surprised that some reviewer's compared them with 3 star restaurants in the area.

A restaurant experience you will not forget!

By Bob G |

We have been going to Chatham's Place restaurant for special occasions during the past 6 years and we have never been disappointed. This is an intimate restaurant with exceptional personal attention by everyone in the restaurant. The menu is creative, the food is delicious, and the service is something you will never forget. Everyone treats you as a special guest and like family. They also have a piano player who is terrific and who takes requests.

What an experience!

By MC_Bowlin |

They’re a little hard to find. There. That’s the worst I can say about this place. I came to Orlando for a vacation and when I travel to cities like this I like to pas my first evening with a fine dinner. This place blew me away. First, get a reservation. They got full fast and as a solo diner I lucked out to get an 8:30pm reservation. The table I got was right across from the pianist (who was just so fantastic and funny!), and had. A perfect view of the kitchen and the dining floor. The food was sublime. Scratch that, make it divine. Lisa was extremely friendly and helpful in figuring out what to order. There was a little amuse bouche or palate cleanser between each section. To start with, the tomato bruschetta was so tasty that I ate it and I HATE tomatoes. The “bread” that came out was t just your little steakhouse loaf. This was a crispy miniature loaf that was hollowed out at the middle and filled with a feta and garlic herb cheese mix. The cream of portobello soup was a perfect balance of smooth creamy sweet, earthy, meaty mushroom, and warm black pepper. Then, a little ricotta cheese savory treat came out. After that was the appetizer I ordered, the smoked salmon carpaccio, which was just so satisfying that by the time I finished it (and all the other random goodies that came before it) I wasn’t sure I had room for my entree. But, the chef showed his knowledge of the digestive process and sent out a small spoon of homemade blackberry sorbet, which was perfect for cleansing the palate and convincing me I could tackle the rack of lamb. And MAN did it need some tackling. The lamb was perfectly medium rare plus - exactly how I ordered it. It was tender. So tender. I can’t describe it but I’ll always remember it as how lamb is supposed to be. And the portion was phenomenal! Added to that, the mashed potatoes were the perfect compliment to the rosemary au jus that came with the lamb. After such an amazing meal, it seemed a shame to not finish it up with a nice dessert... so I ordered the flourless soufflé. It took a little time (they said it’d take about 25 minutes but I honestly lost track of time because of how serene the experience was), which was perfect because it let me digest a little. When it came out, true to form, it was beyond what was advertised. The soufflé was delicious and beautifully done. It was accompanied by a chocolate cup of fresh berries, lightly dusted with powdered sugar. The espresso that I had along side it highlighted the different sweet flavors in the dish. Then, to top it all off, Lisa poured me a small shot of the chef’s home made lemoncello, made with Meyer lemons from his garden and 150 proof vodka. Talk about the perfect end. I couldn’t eat another bite but I wouldn’t have wanted to if I could! If you’re in Orlando and you want to spend an evening in heaven, check out Chatham’s Place. You will NOT regret it.

Best hidden gem in Orlando

By Deanna S |

Best Restaurant in Florida! From the outside you would not expect the caliber of service and food that is experienced here. Upon arrival, a lovely hostess greeted us with a smile also complimented me on my dress and shoes - it was my birthday and this just started the night off so sweet. We were seated at a corner table surrounded by walls of wine. The smells as you walk through the restaurant give you a sense of what you are about to experience. They brought out a little black stool for my purse, what a great touch. The lovely hostess came back and sprinkled confetti on the table for my birthday. It created a sparkling setting. As we enjoyed our first cocktail while listening to Bob Rose play the piano our server, one of many, told us the specials. We didn’t know what to order but our hostess said to always go with the specials - she was sure we would be back for the classics and she was right. We ordered caviar to start and it was served beautifully in a porcelain dish and homemade blini with chives already in them- they were lovely. We then had a pasta appetizer with lobster and shrimp and crab in a cream sauce this was to die for. Served in a little copper pan. Next we were served a scoop of sorbet intermezzo with tiny fruit caviar - genius ! My main dish was a salmon with fresh dill cream and spinach cooked to perfection we also had the rigatoni bolognese special and that was unlike anything I’ve ever had. We didn’t need dessert by this point we were full but we did order an after dinner martini and that was the best decision it had espresso in it and it gave us a bit of energy to sit back and enjoy the people watching and music. Everyone seems to be local here, and they seem to all know each other. The servers all have smiles on their faces and you can actually see them with the cool masks they wear. There was no rush to leave and the owner even came to say hi. I wish I could remember everyone’s name but to be honest they were all helpful and knowledgeable. It was a great birthday and we will be coming back again for sure!

A other great meal

By BAHuston3 |

Chatham’s is my go to place for a business dinner to impress clients. The service is 5 star and very friendly. They have a great wine selection. The food is always fantastic. I always get the lamb. Last night I had the cream of mushroom soup. The best I have ever had. My customers had the whole Dover Sole, and they raved about it. They deboned it table-side. The venue is charming old style, speak-easy. They have a piano player who has been there as long as I have gone to Chatham’s. He plays the piano, harmonica and sings. This makes for a wonderful atmosphere. Enjoy!!!

Just Perfect

By billmc33 |

Chathams Place has been our "go to" restaurant for special occasions for many years. There is a reason why. The food is just delicious and always a pleasant surprise, the atmosphere is romantic, the piano player is great and the staff and servers are first class professionals. Now for full disclosure this is not a "cheap" place to dine, but you get what you pay for. My wife and I recently dined here to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary. I made reservations and asked for a particular table, one we always sit at in a quiet corner. The reservation process was fast and they were happy to accommodate our request. Upon arriving we were greeted by the expert staff, shown to our special table and our server sprinkled some " happy anniversary" confetti on the table, a nice touch. Our server, Lorenzo, is the best and most professional I have encountered at any restaurant and we have dined at the best. He explained the menu, offered suggestions and did not try to up sell anything. As a matter of fact I ordered one of the least expensive entree's and it was just delicious. My wife ordered the twin fillets and raved about them all night. The sides we great and the chef sends little samples to your table throughout your meal. I probably did not know what I was eating but each one was a symphony on the tongue. Your meal at Chathams is an event and can take several hours, I was never rushed and we actually stayed 2 1/2 hours as we enjoyed listening to the very talented piano player. You are never rushed and you feel as if the table is yours for the night. If you are looking for a high class, intimate dinner that is the best in Central Florida and probably beyond look no further than Chathams. You will thank me !

Outstanding restaurant, reservation hard to get

By GordCummings |

We found this small high-end restaurant on Trip advisor. Thought we had made a reservation, but we had made a "request" which was not fulfilled. We showed up and they accommodated us on a small high table near the entrance. Did not matter we had a wonderful meal and evening. This is a small restaurant owned by the chef who has a farm where much of the inputs come from. About 15 tables, only serve about 300 meals a week. The service was truly outstanding, the service impeccable and the food a rare treat. There was a piano player. It was obvious that almost all the patrons, the place was full, were regulars. This is not a place that caters to visitors to Orlando! It is well worth calling well in advance and making a reservation. Do not try on-line. It si well work the visit. plan on a full evening, there is only one sitting.

Outstanding Dinning Experience!

By The World is My Oyster |

This was our first visit there in a few years, and the place is as amazing as we remembered it to be! Our hostess greeted us with a smile, and guided us to our table. The atmosphere is relaxed, soothing, and with dimmed lights to set the romantic mood. We were happy to see that Bobby, the piano player, was still going at it, with his signature hat, and glowing personality! He definitely sets the tone there, with some of the most amazing classics of all time. Our server Chris was super friendly, professional, and with great recommendations. He was very attentive throughout the entire evening. The chef treated us to a few free Amuses-Bouches, which was a nice gesture. The food there is absolutely fantastic, no matter what you go for. We started off with the awesome Lobster Bisque, and the fresh Caprese Salad, both great decisions, with fresh ingredients! My wife then went with the duck, which was delicious, and perfectly cooked. I opted to go with the 6oz filet, which you could practically cut with a fork! It was very tender, juicy, and a great pairing with the side of Sautee mushrooms. The chef even gave us a complimentary Crème Brulée, since it was my birthday. It was THE best Crème Brulée I've had in Orlando! The obvious thing here that jumps out, is that it is very expensive to eat there. Even with bringing our own wine bottle and paying the $25 cork fee, the total ended up being $250 for appetizers, two main dishes, 2 sides, cork fee, and one Old Fashion. That being said, between the great atmosphere, the amazing service, Bobby the piano player, and the phenomenal food, it is totally worth every penny! We can't wait to be back again!

Hosted a customer appreciation dinner for 40 people

By Vanessa L. |

My company hosted a customer appreciation event for 40 people at Chatham's Place. First and foremost, I will say that we received multiple requests to dine here again next year. The service was on point and very attentive. Even when standing up to use the facilities, the staff pushed in my chair and folded my napkin. The food was prepared perfectly, and presented beautifully. I enjoyed the lobster bisque, filet and sorbet for dessert. The piano player played fun, relevant songs and we even had a customer join in with the piano playing! Everyone had so much fun. Thanks to Chatham's for helping us provide a great experience for our customers and team. I'm sure we will be back next year.

Very Special Birthday

By mbmom9093 |

It was such a treat to have dinner at Chatham’s Place on my birthday. We love the excellent cuisine of course, but the staff’s attention to detail and personal service is beyond compare. Peter the sommelier was so helpful—he started our celebration with a lovely champagne for me and introduced my husband to a new scotch he especially enjoyed. The Chenin Blanc from South Africa we enjoyed with our meal was exceptional. It was a pleasure to meet Chef Tony Lopez and give him a hug because my birthday dinner had been fit for a queen!

Special 50th Birthday)

By Sarahlee40 |

We had the most wonderful dinner experience for my 50th birthday tonight. Lorenzo and team took amazing care of us. The food was spectacular - pesto rigatoni from the cheese wheel, hot antipasto with eggplant rolatini and cheese tortellini, beet salad, mushroom soup, filet diane, sea bass and the cauliflower and of course the grand marnier souffle. And all the special touches and drinks were amazing. This is the finest dinner experience in Florida and definitely in the top 10 of the US. It is magical. We’ll be back soon.

Perfect for special occassions!

I've previously reviewed this restaurant as it was our choice of joint birthday as well as anniversary dinners for two years.

Great find!

By Beachbenz63 |

Had company visiting from up north and met up at Chatham's for dinner. The food and service could not have been better. Our server Javier was outstanding. Attention to detail is wonderful here as is the presentation and preparation of their excellent food. A real find in an area known for theme parks and chains monopolizing the fine dining market.

The Very Best of Restaurant Row

By Larrymore S |

We have eaten here many times over the years to celebrate special occasion or entertain very special guests and have always been delighted by the food and the service. You will not find a more attentive wait staff, wherever. If you enjoy Piano Jazz, you will enjoy Bob Rose who will play you requests and set a delightful ambiance for your meal. There’s always Blackened Grouper on the menu and it is wonderful. Our daughter had the duck and our granddaughter had the lamb and enjoyed very much. There are wonderful deserts and the wine selection is extensive. If you live here in Orlando and have not dined here, you are missing something special. If you are visiting Orlando, this is a must do. You will enjoy.

Chathams Place best for fine dining

By Nancy C |

Always a fantastic experience. Chef Tony is the best! The snapper was absolutely delicious. It’s always our go to for fine dining. Nothing else even compares. Lorenzo and team are wonderful. Best piano player around Bob Rose.

Still the BEST in Orlando after 30 years !

By hastobegreat |

You can try every restaurant in Orlando and you will not find anything like Chatham's Place. You are greeted like family. Karen was super helpful and sweet in making our table festive with heart shaped confetti. One of our favorite things about dining here is that you never know what gifts the kitchen will be sending out. Before even ordering we are treated to plump and flavorful olives and the most delicious bruschetta. We always ask for more. The drinks are done so well. They are not stingy with the liquor that is for sure. You will have the best martinis of your life here. We also love their bourbon selection. If you get a chance to talk with their sommelier Peter - you will be in for a treat. He is so knowledgeable and can tell exactly what you would want in a wine within minutes of speaking to you. The servers have been there forever too and will remember everything you like. Chef Tony is a treasure. Watch him work the room, he remembers everyone. I love listening to his stories about how he comes up with his recipes and about his farm. A more creative chef you will not find. We go there when they can squeeze us in. It is difficult to get a table same day but when we are in town we absolutely make an effort to go there. This past visit we had the caviar to start. His presentation is perfect. We always think we know what we want to eat - as we think about the dishes all the time. My favorite is the Rack of Lamb but also the Sea Bass when it is on special. We also love the Brie and the Crab Cakes. This night, there was a pasta special in a cheese wheel that we kept seeing other tables get. We went for that and we were blown away. The creamiest most flavorful and perfectly cooked pasta. The portions were good for an appetizer to share or a full meal for one. We had a special spinach salad that had goat cheese. We ended up ordering a chicken on the menu with mozzarella and tomato and also the special salmon that night with stewed tomatoes. We were so full but we never leave without the white chocolate soufflé. We look forward to our next visit.

Big Boy says, “Old School Elegance”

By BigBoyDiningOut |

Chatham's Place - Dr. Phillips Boulevard, Orlando - 5 stars "Absence of plunder - This is the principle of justice, peace, order, stability, conciliation, and of good sense."- Bastiat True fine dining, as it originated in the 1940's, is completely a lost art these days. The 10-course meal from days of yore is gone. Tuxedos, Pince Nez, cigarette holders, Spatz, and house boys are a thing of the past. Heck, even the Big Boy wears Jordan slides to dinner no matter the occasion. However, if you want a throwback to an excellent dining experience, Chatham's Place is the Primus Inter Pares. Chef Tony Lopez is a culinary genius who combines complex flavors and layering to allow a palate-pleasing trip down sustenance lane. - As Bob Rose tickles the ivory as I ate, plate after plate of amazing dishes were placed in front of me served by white-tuxedoed men. I did not see a single female employee in the place. There is even a Maitre D' to seat you. This place exudes class. I started off with a Whistle Pig Old Fashioned to drink, masterfully blended by the bartender. The first course was Foie Gras in a Grand Mariner reduction. While the sauce was just a tad sweet for me, the Foie was cooked perfectly. Then they bring fresh-baked bread, which has a unique quality of having feta cheese baked in the center of the bread. This is so packed with fun flavors it's hard to move on to the other courses. The intermezzo is mango and fresh basil, which is so tart and fresh that your palate is cleansed for the main course. For the main course, I ordered the Tomahawk steak, a bone-in ribeye, with spinach and asparagus for my sides. The steak comes in a white truffle oil and porcini mushroom demi-glacé. What is really exciting is the steak looks ready to cut; however, the chef has hand cut your meat into bite-sized morsels of delectable ecstasy. The spinach was sautéed to perfection, rich and creamy, and the asparagus was grilled to the perfect crunch. Outstanding is all I can say - just outstanding all-around. My server, Louis, went out of his way to make this one of the best meals I have ever had. If you go here and try to tell me this is not great food or one of the best culinary experiences you have ever had, you will be hung at high noon in front of a Jersey Mike's. Chatham's Place is fantastic. Without reservation, the Big Boy strongly recommends this restaurant as the epitome of fine dining.

Outrageous Pricing!

By The World is My Oyster |

We've been here a dozen times over the past few years, and the ONLY reason im not rating this place below average, is the outstanding service and atmosphere. This used to be one of the "hidden gems" in Orlando, and after tonight, I would not recommend going there anymore. I totally understand that everything is more expensive because of covid, and inflation, but to have 80% of the menu set to MP (Market price) is completely ridiculous! I don't care how good your reputation is, but charging $62 for a 6oz filet, or $50 for a small portion of pasta bolognese is unacceptable! Service was once again impeccable, with our server Kevin truly going above and beyond the entire evening. We also loved that Bob was playing piano all night, and therefore, creating a relaxed and wonderful atmosphere. That being said, I was completely shocked to find out that their corkage fee is now over $40!!!! Are you kidding me? How does this have anything to do with inflation? There were 4 of us there tonight, and here was our order; Two bowls of soup, escargot, Burrata cheese, pasta bolognese, duck breast, a 5oz seabass, chicken breast, creme Brule, bananas fosters, and 3 glasses of wine. After taxes, and tips, our bill was over $550! As good as the food was, this was grossly overpriced. This "used to be" our favorite fine dining restaurant in Orlando, but we won't be going back there anytime soon...

Romantic Anniversary Dinner

By Rosie M |

My husband and I were here December 27th to celebrate our engagement anniversary. We had heard great things about this place so we decided to try it. Let me say that I am now spoiled forever as to how a restaurant should treat their customers. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere a delight, the food and wine quality was perfection. They catered to my allergies. Addressed us by name. The piano singer came to our table and sang by request the Christmas waltz and even added his own twist on it. Larry was our waiter and Sergio our host. No one rushed us through our meal. It is fine dining so not an every day dinner place but for sure worth coming for a special occasion. Now everytime I go out somewhere else I am spoiled because I say it's not Chatham standard. Thank you for making our dinner special. Hope to return one day soon.

Classy, good food, noisy

By Mr. D |

We got there at 5:30 for a 6 pm reservation. Beautiful intimate restaurant. Once it fills and it fills quick it’s noisy which was a major drawback for us. Rack of lamb tasty but not tender. Great potential here but meh could have been better.

European Dining

By Jack L |

I've only had food or service like this outside of the US. I felt like we were in Italy. Hugo was a wonderful host and took care of us like we were royalty. Everything we ate was spectacular and I've been telling anyone who will listen, that they must go to Chatham's Place when in Orlando.

Fantastic

My wife and I had dinner on Tuesday. We have been going to this restaurant for about 20 years, since we have been coming to Orlando when our children were young. The service is impeccable with the attention to detail and friendliness, The food is always prepared perfectly with wonderful presentation. The piano player has been there for quite some time and is always entertaining and willing to please. It is nice to have an alternative to the chain restaurants in the area. Keep up the good work

Wow!!!

Phenomenal from beginning to end. Food and service second to none. Highly recommend. Whether you have business or special occasion Chatham's Place rises above all the rest.

No place like Chatham‘s place

By Mike C |

Chatham’s Place was the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we walked in, Sergio, the maître d, made us feel incredibly welcome, setting the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable evening. Joe, our server, along with his team, was attentive and gracious, ensuring our glasses were always full and that every detail was just right. The experience began with a thoughtful touch from the chef—a tomato bruschetta that was absolutely bursting with flavor. Shortly after, they brought out bread that was stuffed with something amazing (I wish I could tell you exactly what it was!) and a coleslaw that was unlike any I’ve ever had—unique and delicious. We started our meal with a bowl of lobster bisque, which was rich, velvety, and perfectly seasoned. It was the kind of dish that wraps you in warmth with every spoonful. For the main course, I had the Spicy Chicken Louisiana Creole. The Cajun spices were perfectly balanced, and the extra ghost pepper they provided elevated the dish to another level. My wife had the Chicken a la Bruce, featuring farm-fresh herbs, homemade mozzarella, and a jumbo ricotta cheese ravioli. Both dishes showcased the restaurant’s dedication to freshness and flavor. Between courses, they served a mango sorbet to cleanse the palate—a delightful and refreshing touch. For dessert, I couldn’t resist the rich chocolate mousse, while my wife had the crème brûlée, its perfect caramelized top giving way to a creamy, decadent custard. All of this was accompanied by live piano music, which added an intimate and elegant ambiance to the night. Tony, the owner, has truly created something special with Chatham’s Place. Their farm-to-table philosophy shines through in every bite, with many ingredients coming directly from Tony’s own organic farm. If you’re looking for a dining experience that feels both refined and personal, Chatham’s Place is second to none. It’s more than just a meal—it’s an experience I’ll remember fondly for years to come.

Favorite restaurant

By Monica |

My husband and I ate at the best restaurant In the world in Copenhagen and it was fantastic, but this is out favorite restaurant ever. Everything about Chathams is incredible. My favorites are the Burrata and Bolognese.

It doesn’t get better than this…

By Sarahlee40 |

Another phenomenal meal with our Chathams family. Hugo was our server tonight. He and the team took such great care of us. The tuna tartare and grouper capellini specials were amazing as always. The rest of the family had meatballs and gnocchi, NY strip and fettuccini, caprese with goat cheese…. All so good. Must have soufflé was as great as always. Love the Lavazza coffee and espresso; and of course the best limoncello anywhere. But really the best was coming home to family… Chef Tony, Lorenzo, Javi, Chris, Bob, Gustavo - you all are so wonderful and we wish you all the best. Until we drive 7 hours from Atlanta again just for homemade gnocchi….. love to all.

My daughter and I had the privilege of dining at this spectacular restaurant during our visit to Orlando last month. It was PHENOMENMAL. We made reservations months ahead of time and it was worth the wait. It's a 5 **** culinary delight experience elevated by staff that make an effort to make each one of their patrons feel special. The pianist even serenaded her with a personalized shout out for the cheerleading competitions that we were there for to say good luck. Thanks so much for a wonderful meal in an unforgettable atmosphere! A must stop for any other trip we take to Orlando!

Love those five-star reviews

By Taylor B |

When researching hotels and restaurants and attractions for a forthcoming trip, it's always a good feeling to discover a property that earns only five-star reviews from its patrons. So it was with Chatham's Place in Orlando, Florida. Everybody seems to love the place...the menu, the ambiance, the pianist, the intimate and romantic setting, the service, the elegance, the entire experience, from soup to nuts. No negative reviews. That's rare. Located at 7575 Dr. Phillips Boulevard, near Spring Lake, in the Asset IQ Financial Auction Services Building, Chatham's Place offers a truly five-star fine dining experience. Since opening his chic restaurant in 1988, owner/chef Tony Lopez has beguiled diners with a menu that includes many herbs, vegetables and fruits gleaned from his own organic farm. Open from 6 to 9 Tuesday through Saturday, Chatham's Place wants you to return again and again to sample every item on the menu. For starters, my wife and I had bowls of cream of portobello mushroom soup and lobster bisque, escargot an Caesar salad. For an entree, my wife had Veal Diane with wild mushrooms flambeed with cognac, a touch of cream, dijon mustard and a touch of Worcestershire with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. I chose one of the house's premier offerings, a center-cut Angus beef tenderloin, or filet mignon, with Madeira demi glaze, potatoes au gratin and steamed asparagus. For dessert, we shared a large slice of Florida's signature sweet treat, key lime pie, and a house special, Bananas Fosters, a tableside fixture with bananas, sugar and ice cream. Dining at Chatham's Place is more like a special event rather than an ordinary dinner date.

Christmas Dinner. Great Service OK food

By Family E |

The staff here is amazing and well trained (one note would be the lack of female staff?). I gave this 4 stars because the atmosphere, staff and seating was lovely. The food however was not worth the high prices. Our group of 9 ordered a variety of items most very delicious. The brie appetizer was decent. Those who ordered escargot were pleased. The main course was varied. The chicken entree was mediocre while the tomahawk was devine. Duck was ordered by most at the table and there were varying degrees of delight and disappointment. Dessert was a let down. Macadamia pecan pie was bland and far too chewy. The chocolate mousse was chalky. The coffees were delicious. Overall this is a nice place to listen to piano and enjoy the variety of wines and dessert coffees. However, not worth the expense for dinner.

Fine dining at it’s best!!

By CDP |

This is a great place to eat a fine meal. The service and food is excellent. We had the black grouper and lamb, both were signature dishes. The lamb was probably the best we have ever had and the grouper was also very well prepared. Service was high caliber. Very special experience. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful

By Mel w |

Just back from a 6.30 sitting and we were not disappointed. I followed trip advisor reviews as I often do and made a booking 3 weeks ago, they emailed me around a week later as the restaurant was closed for July. We were greeted by a friendly lady who showed us to our table, our waiter was very attentive we never had to wait long for drinks. The meal was superb - we had the shared entree of lobster ravioli, pork ribs and gnocchi bolognese, OMG if that was a prelude to mains we couldn’t wait. I had the lamb rack and hubby had one of their specials for the night that was Mignon meat on pasta with a sauce we finished with chocolate cake. It was just Devine, yep it’s on the pricey side but well worth the treat.

Chatham's Place is our hidden gem in Orlando. Our go to place for special occasions. Our very favorite spot. Can't beat it for atmosphere, service or food and wine! Superb! Best Rack of Lamb EVER! Reservations a must and plan ahead. We had a wonderful Anniversary Dinner! Already looking forward to our next visit! We can't recommend this Restaurant enough. If we could give it 10 stars we would!

Unforgettable Meal

ChateauBriand for three with the pasta starter, Split Cesar salad, artichokes and scalloped potato’s followed by two different chocolate soufflés was our far this evening of the derby. We lost our race bet but enjoyed a wonderful meal. What a great Christmas gift.

Exquisite upscale dining experience, but the food wasn't a hit with all our palates

By theyoussefs |

Chatham's is an upscale experience with an old-world feel in a dimly lit but lively dining room, an excellent live piano player, fantastic / attentive / helpful service (at a relaxed pace), but given the price and the standard I hold top notch restaurants to, the food wasn't as uniformly excellent as we were hoping, hence the 4 stars. The lamb was particularly good as an entree, and there was an Italian entre (ravioli and lasagne bolognese) that was excellent. The various appetizers were impeccably prepared, there were complementary small tasting courses that we enjoyed, and the presentation on everything was terrific. I also asked about any signature drinks and had a caramel walnut Old Fashioned that was absolutely delicious. On the other hand, three of us ordered fish entrees: the grouper, a chilean sea bass special in an olive and caper-based sauce, and chliean sea bass in a meuniere sauce. The fish was good but wasn't as flavorful or as perfectly prepared as what we expected from a restaurant of this caliber, and the meuniere sauce was so buttery that it completely overwhelmed the fish. So the seafood was a bit disappointing. Bread is also an important aspect of a fine dining experience in our opinion, and the bread they brought out was small loaves with feta cheese based into the top of them. I LOVED that, but some in my family don't like feta cheese much, so I asked for a loaf of regular bread, and what we got was buttered and toasted slices of baguette... if they had provided the loaves that had the feta cheese without the feta, that would have been great. Finally, we ordered two desserts. The pecan and macadamia nut pie was very good, and the bananas foster was excellent... if you like the sauce to be on the more bitter end of the spectrum. I liked it but the rest of my family didn't. One side note, the dining room was very cool. You definitely want to be wearing something with long sleeves...

Phenomenal from the time you walk in till the time you leave. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food. Never rushed. Plan on three hours +. You are dining not eating. One of the three best restaurants in Central Florida. Period.

Keeps getting better and better!

By Charlotte |

We have been dining at Chatham's for over 15 years. It never disappoints. Our recent experience was so amazing - it motivated to write my first ever review ( although I don't want it to make it harder to get a reservation by telling everyone how wonderful it is). You have to make reservations. They are small, not like those big chain restaurants lining up Sand Lake. From start to finish it will be the best dining experience you will have in Florida. Everyone there greets you with a smile. Bob Rose thier pianist lights up when we walk in. He remembers us and plays my favorite "La Vie En Rose" everytime. The smells as you walk to your table are amazing. Let me just say, you can't be in a hurry here. They want you to relax. Which is one of the best things about this place. We have sat down at 6:30 and left nearly 11:00. Time flies when you are in this place. My favorite drink is their Walnut Toffee Old Fashioned, but they make a great classic gin and tonic too. Their menu is not long at all but they also have specials which is what we always go with. The specials are about as long as the menu sometimes. Before we even order though, we get this little plate of bruschetta and a plate of olives. We started off this night with Chef Tony's Tomato Soup. They serve it tableside - they bring out a bowl that has warm pieces of brie and delicious creme fraiche. My husband had a trio of seafood specials with a lobster dumpling, a crab cake and smoked salmon. We then had their mushroom pasta that is finished off in a huge cheese wheel. The whole night the kitchen sends gifts upon gifts of little tasters. Oh and the bread can be reviewed all on its own - it is delicious. This is by far our favorite place in Orlando, or in Florida. You have to go!

Exceptional Experience

By Lynn K |

This place reminds me of old New York. If you are looking for intimate, exquisite, fine dining that is second to none. This is the place! The drinks were also the finest crafted drinks I have ever had. No children allowed (so you know they are serious about the ambiance). Its pricey; dinner for two with drinks is going to run you about $300-$350 with tip. Make sure you ask the price of any specials, as you don't want to be sticker shocked when the bill arrives. You won't leave mad though, as the Chef is an amazing artist, and has delicious crafty taste points offered between meals to show off his talents. A must to visit.

One of the best in town

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. If you're going impress to someone , this is the place to do it. Romantic , cozy and classy place.

If you come to Orlando, you must go here.

By USCanadianhybrid |

An elegant dining experience. My fiance and I enjoyed every second of the meal, along with the wonderful service. Excellent ambiance, a wonderful live piano player (who will take requests - even silly ones - my fiance asked for "Linus and Lucy" from Charlie Brown - so fun!). The food is a real treat, and the extensive wine and liquor choices are wonderful. If we're ever in Orlando again, we will definitely return.

Amazing Anniversary Dinner!!

By Bill Cole |

My Wife and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary last week at Chatham's Place. It was one of the best overall dining experiences we've ever had. From the moment we walked through the door to the time we left, the staff at Chatham's Place was attentive and solely focussed on us having an amazing experience. In addition to the wonderful the atmosphere and staff, the food was exceptional. Highlights included a crab and corn chowder, duck breast in a blueberry sauce, and the best creme brûlée I have ever had!! In summary, nothing at Chatham's Place is an afterthought. Every item, movement, and guest interaction serves to make your evening one you will never forget.

excellent except the main entree

By alice f |

All service and food were excellent until I received my main entree, the roast duck. I could not eat the majority of it because it was so fatty, and evidently the skin is left on. Definitely not worth the $66.00

We have had the privilege of dining at Chatham’s a couple of times now and it is truly an amazing dining experience. If you’re looking for an excellent dining experience this is the place. Chatham’s Place never disappoints. The relaxed classy atmosphere provides a backdrop for ChefTony and his staff to provide perfect dining pleasures. The wait staff, especially Larry and the sommelier are fantastic. Make sure you try the gumbo !

Outstanding!!

By DevinK590 |

Every aspect of my experience from the food, atmosphere and service was amazing. The candle lite room will take your breath away as you walk past the pianist serenading the room. You are brought to your table and your chairs are pulled out to seat you. The entire staff was versed on food and wine pairings and was able to recommend wines that were more friendly to some in our group on the Keto diet. The servers flawlessly passed between each of us pouring glass after glass of wine without the hint of your knowing they were even there whilst we were all mid conversation. We were gifted their house made limoncello and Antipasti, which brought me back to my honeymoon in Italy. The food, I can not give enough praise to on how delicious each and every bit was. If your looking for an experience like no other with the feeling that your are the most important guests in the room, look no further.

Anniversary dinner

By Jon H |

Look, my wife and I eat our every Friday and Saturday night. We are very selective about restaurants that we add to our rotation. This was the first time here after hearing about it through a recommendation from a guy in New York. We went to celebrate our anniversary and man were we disappointed.....that we hadn’t been here before! This place is truly exceptional!! Quaint, service that is second to none, quality of food that that is top of class, and overall atmosphere that will have you coming back many times. So, while listening the pianist play various selections, I observed the owner of the restaurant right at the “serving area” where the food comes out from the kitchen. He paid attention to every detail and was instantly interacting with the various chefs until perfection was achieved. I had the Florida Black Group and my wife had the Italian Combo. They were both amazing and I would get this every time. I cannot say enough and I am not one to give high marks to many restaurants..... must visit!!! Enjoy!

The Very Best Restaurant on Restaurant Row

By Larrymore S |

This is the very best restaurant on Restaurant Row and one of the best if not the best restaurant in Orlando. If you have a client, business associate or special someone you’d like to impress, this is the place. The ambiance is superb. Soft lighting, elegant dark wood surroundings and jazz piano set the perfect mood. The food is delicious and the presentation artful. There’s an extensive wine list and a full bar so that you can enjoy your favorite before and or after dinner drink. Fabulous deserts to tempt you. The service at Chatham’s is extraordinary! Not one, not two but a team of servers to see to your every comfort. You will be impressed. In this special time of the COVID 19 Virus Chatham’s has taken every precaution to keep you and their team safe. Everyone is masked up and the tables are spaced for social distancing.

We went here for my 60th Birthday Party Celebration! WOW! From the minute we walked into the restaurant to our heart felt exit all the details were impeccable. As we entered the entire staff greeted me and wished me a Happy Birthday.Service was fantastic.Great wine list and bar service.Had some hard to find liquors and made great cocktails. The food was fantastic! BEST DISH EVER was said by many in our party.Filet Mignon,Veal Parma.,I had the Black Grouper with Cajun Pecan Sauce. It was absolutely fabulous. The ambiance is elegant old school. The piano player added to the great atmosphere and even took the time to stop by our table to give me a birthday greeting.I had picked Chatham's Place because it was NOT affiliated with any of the big resorts and I was not disappointed. We will be back. The outside is very unassuming so DON'T let that deter you.I can't say enough positives!

Culinary Elegance

By Larrymore S |

This is our favorite place to celebrate in Orlando. In fact there are only one or two other places that we have eaten in our travels that compare. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The service is superior. There’s not just one server but a team of servers to see to your every need. The ambiance is wonderful. The jazz pianist, Bob Rose, is a delight. When you visit Orlando don’t miss the opportunity to dine here.

Great night, definitely worth a visit

The service was impeccable, the food was delicious. Do try the white chocolate soufflé dessert - awesome. We went on a Monday and it was packed so make a reservation. Bob on the piano was very entertaining.

We won’t return

By Daniel C |

This has been our go-to dining destination for over 15 years. Another outstanding dining experience. Impeccable service and lovely ambiance. Exceptional presentation of well-prepared food. That said, $97 for 1/2 rack of lamb and $85 for a 3 oz. filet served with peppers and sausage as well as $25 for caprese salad has priced us out. No matter how good, those items are simply unreasonably priced. Sadly, we will not return.

Anniversary Dinner

By Sarahlee40 |

It was a special occasion - my parent's 48th anniversary, so of course our first thought was Chatham's for dinner. I contacted Liza ahead of time to make a reservation for 6 people for Saturday night. She was extremely responsive as usual and seemed genuinely happy we were coming for dinner. We arrive on time and our table was ready. We got warm greetings from Lorenzo and team, as well as Bob. We were seated near the kitchen and loved the wonderful aromas wafting our way. Chef Tony was there making sure everything was perfect. We all enjoyed cocktails and then a fabulous dinner. The fresh made bread is so delicious. I had the smoked salmon starter and grouper with cauliflower for dinner. That cauliflower is the best around. Chef Tony was kind to give us a plate of his fresh from the garden carrots which were the best ever. We had such a special night and my parents were so happy. This truly is our favorite restaurant anywhere. We will continue to come down from Atlanta whenever we need a fine dining experience! I must say - we do miss Maurice. He was such a fixture. But Liza does a great job as host.

Business dinner

By Simon G |

Me and my colleagues were taken to Chatham’s Place restaurant for dinner. It is located in the Doc Phillips area, the restaurant is sort of in small mixed use building, office and retail so the drive up experience was nothing special. The door and entrance to the restaurant had a speakeasy vibe as if you have to knock and give the password to enter, but we didn’t have to. Just kinda of the vibe you get. The place is very small and dark but alas we weren’t seated in the main dining area. We were led out the back door to a separate and unattached room that could accommodate a larger group. While this room was good for discussion and conversation we still were detached from the restaurant ambiance. The restrooms were located in the main dining room so if one had to go, one had to walk outside, turn the corner and go back inside the main dining room to the restrooms, kinda of awkward but no big deal. The only thing that I felt was weird was all our food and drinks had to be transferred or transported over from the main dining room where the kitchen is located. The waiters would load up a large tray and carry it out the back doorway, stage it outside then open the double doors to our room and serve the different stages of the meal and drink refills. So January at night in Orlando is cool about 60 degrees and every time the door was opened we felt the draft. Finally the food, the menu is small in comparison to other restaurants in the $$$$ price range, but what they do, they do it well. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The only mention after dinner was some felt the portions were small in comparison to the price. As for me it was plenty and my favorite of the night was the Escargot. I didn’t have dessert but most others in my group did. Now visually the desserts were in small portions. They were good everyone said but tiny was the word I most heard. Our lead waiter was professional and attentive and he ran his support wait staff with effort and efficiency. Overall I would give Chatham’s Place a try if you are a foodie type. If you’re after a heavy meat & potato’s type meal or seafood tower then you won’t find that at this restaurant. Bon appetite!

I have been visiting Orlando for over 10 years as I owned a property there, so I drive is the big tourist area but 2 miles off I drive is an area called Dr Philips which the regulars use more so than I drive there are several top end restaurants here, Eddy Vs (seafood) Ruth’s Chris (steak) Morton’s (steak) Dragonfly (sushi) and the best of them all Chathams Place ( European mix ) now you have to have deep pockets to go here as a 12 oz fillet migion is $88 + Sides ie veg and stuff, but believe me when I say that you will not get better food anywhere than here it’s just the best!!! No ifs or buts and the White chocolate Soufle is a must it’s very popular, if you want to impress this is the place

Hidden Gem!

By Bob V |

We were invited to dinner at Chatham's Place by a dear friend. Needless to say, this is one of Orlandos hidden gems. Service impeccable but not overbearing. Food quality second to none. And the ambience is upscale but quant. Great place to take your loved one for a remarkable dining experience. Make your reservations well in advance as we were informed by our host that it can be weeks to get a reservation.

A hidden GEM!!!

By Sally W |

Chatham's Place just continues to get better. Having been a customer for some time, I am blown away by this unique and extra special dining experience near Disney. Chef Tony has created a menu that is like fine wine and just gets better! Liza has cared for us like we are part of the family, always making our visits enjoyable. Larry and the rest of the serving team are without a shadow of doubt some of the best servers I have come across. Special occasion, weekly dinner, party....Chatham's Place is the PLACE to go!! I can't wait to go back!

Perfect for a birthday celebration !

By Sundrop |

Finally tried it after driving past for years. Service is impeccable and the offerings are perfectly prepared. We had lamb and duck. The white chocolate soufflé was loci. Highly recommend ,

mirror mirror on the wall…

By TalkGeorge |

Lovely food and ambience as always, but…how about a little transparency when you ask the server if he recommends the filet on the menu or the chateaubriand special that he just told you about. “Hey you two, I know you are sharing the snapper and a meat dish, I recommend the chateaubriand but the serving is as big as a cow and we charge $320.”Crickets,nothing…we will not return!

Utter perfection

By Michelle L |

Such a breath of fresh air. From the moment you are greeted by the charming maitre d' and escorted to your table to the time you walk out the door at the end of the evening, you feel like a valued guest. There is no rush at Chatams. The service is perfect and unobtrusive (thank you, Hugo). It's elegant dining in a society that has largely forgotten the art. The food is outstanding. The chef does some of the best Italian food in town, but there is nothing on the menu that isn't exceptional. The escargot weren't my favorite, but they were the only glitch in an otherwise perfect meal. Do pre order the souffle. It's delicious.

MUST GO

By peteleite |

First I would like to wish a safe and healthy time to all my readers, also thank all 3.5 million people that have read all my reviews and make me the nbr 1 reviewer in NYC and florida. Chathams place is a gem, from the moment you walk in the door, it brings you back to somewhere in Mediterranean europe. The service was impeccable, and the food to die for. We started with the chefs appetizer special, 5 different bite sizes pieces of heaven that should be on iron chef, and a caprese salad so fresh we could eat forever the main course was steak, ny and fillet mignon, cooked to perfection , desert a white chocolate soufflé, no words for it. so all my readers, this is a must go place. Chef and Owner Tony is a superstar, if you can make to orlando please go to Chathams, stay safe peter

Amazing service & food!

We went while celebrating our honeymoon and they made us feel so special. Everyone congratulated us. The chef even came over to our table to congratulate us. Everyone was so friendly and genuine. The food was outstanding as well!! We had such an amazing experience, we will definitely be back!

Hidden Gem!

By Barbara C |

Chatham's is one of a kind on what now is referred to as restaurant row. The food is excellent; the service is excellent. It's tucked away in an office building, out of the mad rush of the main restaurant row. You are welcomed as an old friend and valued patron, even when it's your first visit. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The menu has some old favorites and imaginative specials - always excellent.

Old school impeccable service & food

By 715AK715 |

Our very favorite, we visit every time we come to Orlando. Superb food, perfectly prepared. Be sure to order the soufflé when you place your dinner order, takes 30 min, & it’s amazing. Impeccable, old world service, never rushed. A dining experience!

We return to Chatham’s Place

By mbmomAL |

We return to Chatham’s Place every time we’re in Orlando for a special occasion. It ALWAYS surpasses our expectations for quality of service and cuisine. Chef Tony Lopez and his staff are second to none—they are deserving of a James Beard Award, hands down! We celebrated my 61st birthday at Chatham’s Place and were so delighted— the pianist dedicated songs to me, Chef Tony came to our table TWICE, the Sommelier recommended an ideal white wine, and my husband and I were both completely overwhelmed with the quality of service and cuisine once again. It seems unlikely that a small restaurant could continue to satisfy customers for over thirty years, but that is exactly what Chatham’s Place has done! We traveled from Birmingham, Alabama, to dine at Chef Tony’s Chatham’s Place, and we can assure you that Chef Frank Stitt has nothing on Chef Tony Lopez. Get a reservation at Chatham’s Place as fast as you can.

Wedding ceremony/ dinner

By Nancy C |

My husband and I were married in the courtyard of Chatham’s place on December 22. It was a very small second marriage for both of us. Every detail from start to finish was handled with excellence. Suggestions from the management staff were greatly welcomed and appreciated. The dinner itself was by far the best I’ve ever experienced, and the service impeccable. The piano player was wonderful and it just adds to the ambiance. From the conversations we’ve had from our guests we know they will also be returning to Chatham’s Place. As for my husband and I, we will definitely be regulars!

Truly outstanding

By BSOfan |

This restaurant is a hidden (indeed, hard to find even with GPS) gem. The antipasto was innovative and delicious, the grouper amazing and the rack of lamb outstanding. Even the key lime pie, usually an overly sweet cliche, was unusually good. Service was deliberate but attentive, and we loved the iconoclastic choices and dry wit of the sommelier. A pianist provided quiet atmosphere even though no virtuoso.

Almost Perfect

By John P |

Don't know about you, but I have mixed feelings about trying the top rated restaurants on Trip Advisor. On one hand, when I have limited time in a city, I want the best possible restaurant experience. Then again, when I reserve a table at one of the highest ranked establishments, my expectations are so high that I'm primed for disappointment. Chatham's Place was just such a restaurant. With only a few exceptions, reviewers raved about this place. Trip Advisor reviewers----thank you, you were so right. Know up-front that Chatham's Place is expensive. When we visit an expensive, fine dining establishment, we take high quality food and preparation as a given but also expect a complete dining experience. Chatham's Place delivers on that expectation. The small (approximately fifteen tables) space is charming and romantic with a coffered dark wood ceiling, walls lined with racks of wine bottles, a plant filled atrium visible from all tables, and an open kitchen. The well spaced, while linen covered tables each have their own lighting which, together with the piano, and subdued room lighting, add to the room's romantic feeling. Given the small size of the room, we were somewhat apprehensive when we realized there would be live piano music but the acoustics are such that the music (as well as the general noise level) was subdued and never interfered with conversation. Our food was, in a word, wonderful. From the sweetest tomatoes we've ever enjoyed in a salad, to the pristinely fresh, well seasoned grouper, to the incredible bananas foster and cherries jubilee our meal was superb. (The inclusion of a portabella mushroom base in the escargot appetizer was, to our taste, a mistake and the failure to flambe the bananas foster and cherries jubilee table-side a minor disappointment.) As important as the food was the stellar service. From the most gracious owner/maitre d' Maurice, who checked-up on us through the meal, to our waiter who never hovered but was always available with a nod (and who kept us from over-ordering in terms of the sizable side dishes), to the busboys who ensured our water glasses never were less than half full, service was impeccable. Chatham's Place not only provided us a wonderful dinner, but created a very special experience. We have had the good fortune to enjoy excellent restaurants throughout the world. Chatham's Place ranks among the best.

Not Their Best Effort

By Michael E |

Let me start by saying that we have been here once before and it was awesome. However, on our most recent visit, I was very disappointed -- so much that I will likely never return. There were four of us and we each ordered a different entree. I ordered the NY Steak special -- medium rare. When I ordered I told the server that my preference was to have it less done than more done. Err on the side of caution and under cook it. When the steak came, it was medium+. Why did they serve this, given my instructions? They took it back and made a new one. The new steak came out in about 15 minutes (my friends were nearly done with their meal). The replacement steak was cooked correctly, but there was so much gristle that I could hardly cut it much less eat it. I sent it back and they did not charge me. The real problem here is that a chef should be able to see the gristle in the steak before cooking it -- it was so prevalent that it could not be missed. Again, why did they even serve this steak?

Disappointed

By porter6631 |

For the price, my vote is that many other restaurants in the Orlando area, e.g., Hillstone, Bulla Gastrobar, Luma on Park, Dexter’s New Standard, The Strand, Taproom at Dubsbread (and the list goes on) serve better food and offer a better value.

Excellent dining experience

By Luckytraveler10 |

Had reservations for adult daughter ‘s birthday . Was exceptional experience. Waiters all wished her a happy birthday- nice touch. Food was superb. Having just moved back from living in Paris- the food, service, ambiance was far superior at Chatham’s Place than anything we experienced there! Highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely return.

Even better than the French Laundry!

By Margaret D |

Just like my title explains, we have had the pleasure of eating at some of the best restaurants in the world and we are seldom surprised with something unique and special. Chatham’s did just that; a magical experience, amazing food, some of the best service in the world all while being creative and allowing us time and space for a romantic dinner. When you book they may require a credit card to hold your reservation. Please keep in mind that your table is YOURS for the evening so you never feel rushed. But that can create a hardship for the restaurant if someone no-shows leaving the space empty. They will also ping you many times to confirm you are in fact coming and also remind you when your table is ready for seating. The exterior is quaint with twinkling lights surrounding it; the interior is cozy, candle lit, romantic and inviting. Bottles of expensive wine are from floor to ceiling with a piano right near the entrance. The live music is just loud enough to hear but not so loud that you have to speak over it; which we find that balance difficult to come by in most places. So much so, we tend to avoid places that host live music because we know we will be shouting at one another to be heard. You can bring your own wine for a modest $35 corkage fee although we selected wine off the menu. They host a full bar and they also have an expansive wine list with some of the most knowledgeable waitstaff you will ever encounter. They move like a single, fluid team, each one making your evening special. For starters we had the caviar; served with quail eggs, cream and small bellinis. It was excellent and delicious! Next we tried the escargot; this was the only miss of the night. The escargots are served in a wonton type shell; the snails are much too delicate for this shell and the shell was also not cooked properly; undercooked in many places and served on a mushroom doused in balsamic. The dish would be so transformed if they used a more delicate puff pastry. The bread was next and it was extraordinary along with a palette cleanser of what tasted of raspberries and lemon; I could have eaten a bowl of this. My husband got the duck and it was cooked beautifully and I got an appetizer for dinner; the eggplant. For me personally, I can only eat so much and I wanted room for desert. The eggplant was good, rolled with ricotta cheese but looking back I would have been more adventurous. To finish the meal we had a souffle that was to die for. The meal was special from start to finish and we were local we would go all the time. Bravo to the kitchen and the staff and thank you for a special night.

Great place!!

By Steve H |

We had the caprese salad, the black grouper, and the white chocolate souffle. Everything was delicious and it was well worth the drive from Brevard county. The sommelier was excellent too.

Amazing Dinner!!

By Davanrn |

We dined here with friends. Awesome from start to finish. Great food. Great service. Tomahawk ribeye is killer! Live piano. Fine food well served. Great wine list. This place is low key and is easily missed. Highly recommended.

Orlando’s Best

By Edwelsh |

If you are looking for outstanding ambiance and service, combined with amazing food, this is your place. We sat on the outside patio on a beautiful night. Our server Javier helped make the evening special. All of the food was prepared perfectly and just wonderful. We tried the Warm Spinach Salad, a Cup of Mushroom Soup, the Rack of Lamb, Florida Grouper, Cauliflower Gratin, Mashed Potatoes and finished with Key Lime Pie. An amazing dining experience.

Time for Upgrade

By Rubicon |

Arugula and beet salad, as well as the sorbet dessert, were quite extraordinary, but duck entree and Key Lime pie were mostly disappointing, especially given the pricing. Upsell for champagne, drinks, and nightly specials was annoying since prices are never mentioned. Atmosphere is a bit stodgy, and staff was sometimes interruptingly imposing instead of innocuously timely. And no free dessert for our anniversary!

Anniversary Dinner

By volgirl12013 |

We had dinner at Chathams Place for our anniversary. The meal was perfection from start to finish. Every staff member we encountered wished us Happy Anniversary. The food and service was superlative. The piano player added to the wonderful ambience.

Best meal of my life through the food, atmosphere, music and service

By Richard H |

I have eaten all over the world in 5 star restaurants like le gavrochè in london yet this by far exceeded every expectation! From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted and treated like family. Not just the service or the food which might i add was the best i have tasted or recieved but the highlight to me was the live piano player who has played there for 16 years and is every bit important to the over all ambiance of Chatham's place! I love visiting america but to find somewhere that made me feel like i was in a slice of newyork/italian/jazz restaurant in the middle of orlando was something that to me money cannot buy. Not the cheapest but for a treat was worth every single cent and more! I will be returning upon every visit to orlando and telling anyone i know to visit, knowing fullwell that they wont be disappointed one bit. If the staff see this i would like to say a big thank you for the best meal of my life. And look forward to seeing you all again!

Incredible Meal

By Cheryl C |

We had a fantastic meal at Chatham’s. Christopher and the staff were very attentive. The food was delicious! Would highly recommend for a very special evening! The tomato soup and soufflé were my favorites, but, everything was perfect!

Looking for a fancy dining place, look no further

By Countri12 |

Was in town for a few days and my wife selected this place for a fancy "treat" dinner, wasn't disappointed. Everything was great, awesome service to go with it. It's not a cheap place to be sure, but you get what you pay for. Recommended for a fancy night out if you can afford it!

The best 5 star experience in Florida

By SMiller |

Best restaurant in Orlando by far!!! Lorenzo and Javi provided amazing service and the food could not have been more perfect. Peter was one of the best soms I have ever met and knew nearly everything about California wine... it was impressive! When you want to dine at a real restaurant with 5 star food and service in Orlando this is the place. My wife and I can’t wait to be be back often

Outstanding Florida Restaurant

By Florida Traveler |

This is one of Florida's finest restaurants. All of the food here is well prepared. For an appetizer the lobster bisque is excellent. For entrees the Florida black grouper 🐟 or veal Diane are superb. For desert the peacan macadamia pie or key lime pie are delicious. Service is professional. Upscale refined ambiance. Go out of your way to come here.

Perfect for a special occasion.

By PJK081 |

Its about the whole experience. Yes the food is out of this world. But the attention to detail by the wait staff and Maitre d is first class. I have had an anniversary dinner here each year for 10 years in a row! Likely the best spot for a special night out in Orlando.

Great food and great environment

By Amy A |

The food, the ambiance, the staff were all amazing! This was our first time visiting and will definitely be back, we even made reservations for our next visit. If your looking for fine dining with a fine experience I highly recommend visiting Chatham's Place. I hade the Italian combo, the lasagna was the best I’ve ever had! My husband had the filet mignon that was so tender and juicy he made sure to finish every piece, both dishes were incredible. Huge shoutout to the chef, you can tell by the quality and taste of the food that he makes sure it’s done right ! Lisa and Lorenzo were great, made you feel at home! Oh and the music by Bob was great, I really enjoyed myself. Loved it!

This is where I bring people who are foodies but from cities where they know high quality restaurants

By 4evrA |

The best high-end quality restaurant in Orlando. Not cheap, small, and grows much of their own food in their private gardens. Very romantic.

Still the best in o town

By Large c |

I have not been there in a few years. Yet I always remembered it as the best restaurant in Orlando. I went for my birthday in January. It did not disappoint the environment was intimate and wonderful. The service impeccable the food extraordinary. In some ways I am glad it’s not on everyone’s radar as I would love to go more often .. and will. I still believe it is the best restaurant in Orlando and I have tried some of the more trendy Orlando Michelin rated restaurants, Chatham’s is still the best.

Simply amazing!

By Stretch279 |

My wife visited this restaurant to celebrate our 17th Wedding anniversary on 27th Sept. It turned out to be a great decision based on reviews read on TripAdvisor. Don’t be fooled by the somewhat underwhelming appearance of the building within which the restaurant sits as when you step through the large black door it feels like you are in an exclusive dining club! We were greeted by front of house who offered congratulations on our anniversary and led us to a table in the corner of the restaurant which was great. The food was exceptional - my wife had lobster ravioli and I had the Escargot special as appetisers. Both were outstanding and unusually for the US the portion sizes were sensible. For mains my wife had the Chicken cooked in Cajun Spices coated in creole mustard which she said was ‘to die for’ and I had the rack of Lamb which was without doubt one of the best I have ever eaten. Whilst we didn’t really need a dessert we did share the speciality white chocolate soufflé as there was a 20 minute prep for it. It too was delicious. Wine and drinks choices were excellent and the service throughout was of the highest order! Special mention to the pianist who plays some great background tunes and just adds that extra bit of quality to the whole experience. Overall for us a gem of a restaurant which you should experience if in the area!

Always coming home to family…

By Sarahlee40 |

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the world and definitely the one that makes us feel most like coming home to family. Liza helped us with getting a table - we always drive down from Atlanta for dinner here. We were warmly greeted by Sergio. We appreciated how thankful he was that we came for dinner. It was great to see Peter, Hugo, Gustavo, Chef Tony, Bob and especially Lorenzo. We always remember Maurice and his hospitality. The food tonight was as amazing as ever. I had a tuna duo and salmon special with the amazing cauliflower. Of course I had the souffle and espresso. We love coming here and always look forward to coming back. Thank you all.

Special Dinner at Chathams

By jpena |

If I was every a seabass and captured I would hope that Chef Tony was cooking me! Pure Magic from start to finish Manager Lisa guided us to a perfect table! Larry was the Captain of our culinary voyage and he was fantastic explaining all the choices! Of course Lisa kept us going telling us which item were better than the last on the menu! Laso the incredible was impeccable setting each table meticulously with perfection. He was thoughtful keeping our water chilled and our tea hot! But the soul of this beautiful place was Bobby Rose playing piano. He made the ambiance come full circle. This is the place you first come for the amazing food but you stay because the Team geniunely cares about the customer enjoying themselves and working together. I havent had such a wonderful evening in ages. Thank you to the Good Doctor for making our night go over the top you know who you are!! My husband and I will be back again!!Salute!!

Top notch! Delicious food, professional and well timed ( not rushed) service. Our reservation was ready on time and nice recommendations for a white( half bottle- which is appropriate for 2 people) and with entrees a delicious Hoopes Cab.

What a great place! From start to finish, the dining was exquisite, the service superb by Christopher and the others, and the entertainment by Bob, unforgettable! We’ll be back for sure.

TOP NOTCH restaurant in the Orlando.

By Joe R |

We were there for a birthday celebration. Excellent service from the minute you walk in the door. Beautiful atmosphere and noise level. The table service was phenomenal from the first course through desert. The food was excellent (Italian combo) (Rack of Lamb) ( The grouper plate). The desert (White chocolate soufflé ) was truly amazing. The piano player kept the dinning room entertained with wonderful selections. Thank You Chatham’s Place for a wonderful and memorable evening. We will be back!

Fine dining excellence!

It Isn’t Here

By B12751 |

IMO, Chattem’s Place is a haute cuisine destination but of 20+ years ago. Getting there a little tough for a first time diner as their sign is on the side of the building. There is intimacy with a smaller dining room, albeit dimly lit. You’ll need your cell phone to read the menu. The menu has an assortment of aristocratic foods: escargot, lobster, rack of lamb, duck, etc.. These were rarities in restaurants years ago. But today commonplace in grocery stores. We have enjoyed these entrees in Michelin starred restaurants, and know what ‘can be’. It isn’t here. I want to make readers aware of their entree pricing ( $26 - MP [Market Price] ). Half of the entrees are MP ( i.e. Rack of Lamb is $59 ). Keep in mind this is an ala carte entree price - no vegetable or starch. They are also available ala carte. Pre-ordered the white chocolate soufflé, and waited 15-20 minutes after the entrees were finished. It was served with imitation whip cream and was bland. The service was attentive, but never once did our waiter ask if we enjoyed the food. Superior restaurants always ask the question. The value of the experience was at best - Average.

Rare fine dining experience, comfortable and classic!

By luv2tripalot |

I chose Chatham's Place based on reviews, to celebrate my husband's birthday while we were vacationing. This unassuming building houses what I think may be the best dining experience in Orlando for a date night or celebration. The service was outstanding, and the chef offers complementary small plates before your meal. We had the walnut old fashioned cocktails, which were perfectly prepared. Our server was 5* all the way, very knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and professional. The art of service has been lost in most restaurants, but it is alive and well here, and the standards for every aspect of dining are elevated. The atmosphere is dark yet inviting, and it does feel like you stepped back in time preserving all the wonderful things you remember about fine dining experiences. We live about 6 hours from Orlando, and decided to go back for a second time the next month. It was as good as we remembered the first time. The piano player is great too, and every staff member seemed to appreciate the business. They have earned a reservation every time we return to Orlando in the future!

We loved it! Both my husband and I had the lobster ravioli as appetizers. Rack of lamb for both of us and it was cooked to perfection! Servers were exceptional :) We will be back!

Celebrating an Anniversary

By Daniela D |

Although this was not my first time at Chathams tonight was a special night. My boyfriend and I where celebrating an anniversary. I absolutely love Chathams. The atmosphere reminds me of a 1920's restaurant, almost speak easy type. They have a small number of tables and I think that's awesome. Makes for a quaint environment. Chef Tony's food is amazing. Everything is fresh and all has incredible flavors. The Matradee Lorenzo was great, knowledgable, and gave us great recommendations. This is a great restaurant with amazing food and service and I highly recommend it.

Best Restaurant in Orlando

By olemsreb |

It's by far the best restaurant in Orlando. Special occasions you cannot beat it! If you need a venue for a special dinner, this is the place. The owners are so nice. Staff is so attentive. Bob the piano player sets the mood. Cannot beat this place in Orlando. It's our favorite go to place for ALL special occasions. You have to order the white chocolate soufflé. It's unbelievable!!

Like coming home to family....

By Sarahlee40 |

It was our 10th anniversary with Chatham’s tonight. 10 years ago we stumbled on this special place - Maurice greeted us and the last decade has just flown by. Lorenzo and the team have expanded on what Maurice instilled in them. Amazing service, inviting atmosphere.... they truly do treat all like we’re just coming home to meet for dinner and reconnect. Liza is so much a part of the family now. Thank you so much for what you do to make us feel welcome and there’s always a table for us. Tonight we had the specials - tomato soup, cold anti pasta, Sea bass and New York strip - all was absolute perfection. And of course the coffee, limoncello and soufflé are the best anywhere. Thankful to always come home to you all. We’ll be back again, all the way from Atlanta, soon.

Amazing fine dining off the beaten path

By Aaayron |

Old School ambiance and a memorable dining experience is waiting for you at Chatham's Place. The Chef/owner has his own local organic farm for fruits, vegetables and herbs used to create some real world class Cuisine that will put a smile on the most critical foodie. First, the smell of roasting herbs and garlic emanating from the kitchen will charge your appetite. We tried the rack of lamb and the duck breast. Duck Breast was a generous 10-12 oz portion, sliced thin with crispy skin intact on every slice. The fat was rendered nicely and the melt in your mouth tenderness went beautifully with the Port and blueberry reduction. Rack of lamb was perfectly cooked to melt in your mouth tenderness with a hearty garlic and rosemary au jus that stood up to the lamb nicely. Finished with their special Vanilla souffle. Perfect melt in your mouth. So delicate. Don't bother with the big chain restaurants that are all over this area of Orlando. This will be your new "go to" fine dining spot in Orlando.

What a hidden gem!

By OrlandoJB |

My husband and I dine out a lot in Winter Park and downtown Orlando. He wanted to change it up a little. The inside reminds me of the old dining room at what was formerly Del Frisco’s on Lee Road. There was a piano played, a good bartender, and excellent & attentive service. We enjoy an antipasto that included lobster ravioli, Cajun crab cakes and eggplant parm. The portion was perfect for sharing and it was a nice mix of tastes and texture. We also enjoyed our entrees. There dessert list had lots of variety. I was pleased to have many options but choose a rich banana pudding. I look forward to coming back.

An evening to remember

By George S |

What are great spot. Maurice (owner) was so gracious as we celebrated our 37th. Lorenzo and entire wait staff were off the chart. Peter (sommelier) knew everything about our wine choice and Bobby played our favorite piano tunes. Oh, the food, 12 on a 10 scale. Rack of lamb cooked to perfection, grouper was so fresh and delicious, cherries jubilee topped off the evening. A MUST! You won’t be disappointed.

The True Art of Fine Dining

By boslondub |

In a generation, in a culture, in a tourist town ... where the true art of dining is often overlooked, Chatham's Place maintains the graceful, time-honored tradition of "fine dining." I've been searching for a restaurant like Chatham's during the past three years we've lived in Orlando; my only regret is that I did not find it sooner! We were warmly welcomed by Karen who was the hostess for the evening. She kindly asked if I would like a stool for my clutch. (Oh, la-la!!! Details like this go a long way with me!) Our server, Gabriel, took his time and allowed us to get settled in before he even handed us the menus or went through the specials. We were given an amuse bouche, then offered Champagne and Cocktails. I chose a Sidecar and my husband had a pear and ginger cocktail. Both were tasty, strong and served in generous sized glasses. We selected a lovely Gevrey-Chambertin and then listened to the specials. The staff are well trained and knowledgeable, as well as passionate, about the food on the menu. We ordered the chef’s special charcuterie, the duck, fruitti di mare, and artichokes. We decided to skip dessert and chose the Port cart instead. What a treat to have this rolled around to your table and personally select the bottle of your choice. We also had a taste of Chef Tony’s homemade limoncello. Divine! The food in itself was delicious, beautifully presented, the flavor profiles well thought-out without being fussy or over the top. Chef Tony doesn’t “try too hard” he just gets it right! For me personally, the food was heightened by the ambiance! Chatham’s exudes old-school charm. It’s cozy and candlelit, romantic and classy. It’s hard to miss the friendly banter between regular patrons and the welcoming staff. The table was beautifully laid. Applause for paying attention to detail and upholding proper dining etiquette without being stuffy or snobbish! I think that is the reason I liked Chatham’s Place best… the family-like atmosphere and relaxed ambiance that still upholds high culinary standards and proper attention to service. Bob the Piano guy is thoroughly entertaining, as well as a real ladies' man! (wink, wink to Bob from the Lady in Red) Thank you all for the best dining experience I have had in Orlando and can’t wait to return soon! – Amy

Awesomeness! Best Restaurant in FL and Beyond!

By Skeeter5639 |

If you are looking for a great place for fine dining in the Orlando area I want to recommend Chatham’s Place in the Sand Lake area of town. It is our favorite “Worldwide” restaurant!!!! And I mean that, when we travel we always find great restaurants, but we always say none of them beats Chatham’s. My wife and I have been coming here since 2012! They only have one seating per night so you are not rushed out after two hours (we are usually there 3-4 hours). Chef Tony not only is the head Chef he is also the owner and goes every morning to his farm to pick fresh herbs for the night’s offerings. He is always developing new things for specials for each night. We went last week to celebrate my birthday!!! They have an awesome person, Bob, playing the piano nightly. I did miss the “Happy Birthday” song when the dessert was delivered with a candle. Hope that comes back….. Check them out! All of the staff are great and pleasant from the time you walk in until you leave! We love Lorenzo taking care of us, especially how he presents the Specials for the night!!!!!

Dinner

By AF716 |

If you are in Orlando and love Italian, don’t miss this place! Authentic, well prepared and presented. It’s a smaller, cozy spot with a piano player and full bar. We enjoyed Veal Piccata and Lasagna with Sirloin along with Chathams Special Salad and for dessert a White Chocolate Soufflé. Usually we skip the customary bread to start, let’s just say, don’t skip this one! They also have a fabulous selection of wines. The service was excellent and attentive without being intrusive. We’re so glad we found it and will go back next time we visit the Orlando area.

Special occasion dinner

By 15bubbles |

This was a very special occasion for my birthday and family get together. They did not disappoint. My brother and his friend both got the duick breast and I go the rack of lamb. The lamb was cooked to perfection and melt In your mouth tender. I also got the special appetizer were I got a small taste of variety of the different appetizers offered. A great way to start the meal . Desert was also wonderful. The atmosphere was nice , with piano player who sang as well .The staff was very attentive . Pretty pricey but since I didn't pay I didn't care and it was a special occasion so I didn't make a mental note of pricing when ordering . For a special occasion or anytime you want an excellent meal I would not hesitate recommending this restaurant

A Place with Charm and Ambiance!

By acasasnovasg |

Chatham’s Place A Place with Charm and Ambiance! No words can describe this great classic place No words can describe it's fantastic AMBIANCE No words can describe it's Charm No words can describe how hard, but flawlessly they work to please you No words can describe it's great kitchen works ....in other words: We love you dear ”Chatham's Place”! For us, in our impenitent foodie’s heart, as mentioned many times; dining is an Art, and -as an Art- it needs to communicate, to provoke and to offer emotions, either good or bad ones. The worst that can happen, can be, that it let you indifferent or emotionless and ”Chatham’s” is not certain, the kind of those places, where you would receive a sense of emotionless...It's many virtues, like its setting, it's cozy ambiance, its great classic food, and well-prepared recipes, from their opened kitchen, its fantastic friendly service, and it's charm, are among, one of those, that wouldn't let you go filling emotionless when visiting their place That's why I’m of those -deeply believers- that when you go out, looking for a nice gastronomic evening, that evening, regardless its many Michelin Stars, regardless its great-trendy-newer recipes and greater wines list, regardless an impeccable service, regardless it's nice-fine setting or interiors, regardless having a comfy sitting... REGARDLESS of ALL PREVIOUS MENTIONED QUALITIES: IF THAT GASTRONOMIC PLACE doesn't OFFER A NICE AMBIANCE... IT WOULD NOT PLEASE THE SENSES OF REAL GASTRONOMES AT HEART! This one is a long time due Visit and Review to ”Chatham’s Place”, a Place that is highly rated and located among FAVORITES IN GREATER ORLANDO Areas This is a place -as well- located among our longtime favorites. A place that can be enjoyed by us, when we are in our dear second home, in North Orlando areas. A place -as well- that we do visit many times in the past, but for many different reasons we hadn't enjoyed for a very long time. We felt kind of a sense of ”guilty conscience” for overlooking Chatham's Place -lately- as one highly located in the orchestra of fine dining-preferred restaurants in our wish list here. A place that is -highly- among our selected gastronomic places, like; ”Luma”, ”Hillstone”, together with ”Ravenous Pig”, ”Prato”, ”Luke’s” and ”Enzo’s by the Lake”, topping -as well- that list. Not to forget, of course, places like ”Victoria & Albert”, a place that holds a soft spot in our Foodie’s heart. Plus “Bull & Bear” and ”Le Coq Au Vin”, as our old time french favorite place in whole Florida. Most of them are southern, far located, from our home, in Greater Orlando areas. On that top list we need to include -farther as well- but northern Orlando’s Mount Dora’s ”1921 by Norman Van Aken” with chef Camilo Velasco in that kitchen. On our never-ending quest for -newer and better- Gastroplaces we just returned from a cherished, long and longtime planned Gatrotour on (almost) all Spain and Portugal. After those experiences, all our actual expectations were revised and actualized within a context, learned and derived from those great Haut Cuisines places and their countless Michelin stars. That gastronomic adventure began in Barcelona at places like; “ABaC”, “Moments”, “Caelis”, “Xerta”, ”Enigma” and ”Tickets”, the cases 2 from same guys that created the world-famous ”El Bulli”. From Catalunya we went to enjoy ”La Rioja”, its wines and its famous ”Marques de Riscal” restaurant, designed by none other than Frank Gehry. After La Rioja, via Pamplona, we had the most fantastic -possible foodie experiences, in Basque Country with its highly rated gastronomic places - all of them already reviewed and published on TA: ”Arzak”, ”Akelarre”, ”Mugaritz” and ”Berasategui”...ending there at none other than ”Azurmendi”. From there we went to ”Ribera del Duero”, where we had great moments at ”El Refectorio” and ”Taller Arzuaga”. In Galicia, we discovered their new kitchen trends at ”Culler de Pau” and ”Yayo Daporta”. After crossing Miño River, we landed in Portugal’s old beautiful Porto city. There we went to ”Yeatman”, ”Antiqvvm” and ”Barao de Fladgate”. Our route drove us down to Caceres, where we visited ”Atrio’s” grand chef Toño Perez. We ended, our fantastic gastronomic journey, in majestic Madrid at ”Coque”, ”Ramon Freixa”, ”Etimo” and our dearest ”Zalacain”...the place that introduced us, together with ”L’Auberge de L’ill” and ”La Tour d’Argent”, back in mid 80s, to the gastronomic pleasures of ”Fine Cuisine”...cuisine as an ART! That kind of routing info was described, each one and thoroughly, on my previous TA reviews. They can be of interests to our readers, as many questions have raised from many of them. Precisely, from that wider scope of experiences received, love to narratively frame our notes for our greater Orlando experiences, like this one...on Chatham’s Place This notes would be seeking to renovate our love votes -as well- on this place and its graceful style offered on its even better AMBIANCE So...regrettably, with NO- reasonable excuses we hadn't been in ”Chatham's Place” lately, but last Friday, we did remedy that -inner- faultless sensation, when we decided to go there....once more time. Of course; we do know that in each region and places they are limitations on ingredients and lack of interests in mastering those ”newer” cooking techniques...which -in Spain- seemed formidable and prodigal, but here, in Central Florida areas, they are of no interest to our segment of costumers That's why each and every place needs to be judged within its context and its circumstances. That's why - as a professional involved in Restaurants and Resort business- I felt obliged to include so many important details, in my narrative and descriptions, but avoiding or compromise -always- my own inner truth, as an encouragement to my own inner strengths. Let's see, step by step, my notes on this great Place: > LOCATION- Its location has been the same, since they first opened, in the nice Dr Phillips Boulevard areas and nearby on what is today is commonly know and called ”the restaurant Row”, in Sand Lake Road. There, this place, is shining highly among an orchestra of many different restaurant offerings >AMBIANCE- As is located in a kind of a Courtyard area -of the building- it looks, at first, like a hidden -hard to find- place, but easy to find our ways to it. There is with ample parking areas, regardless Valet Parking services As you enter it, you realized that you found: - A heavenly classic foodies Place with Charm - As you enter the Place, is evident ”its warm and postal like image” and appearance from its real, original, classic charm. That kind of charm -as we love- is evident....just at first glance: Perfect table setting -in an L shape- around an opened kitchen (one of the very firsts of its kind in Orlando), live music -nicely played in a piano- by Bob (good olde ones), attractive original deco (not an artsy fartsy one), nice softened lights design, plus a classic table sitting arrangement and its table dressed by nice tablecloth (important issue to us), china, silverware and properly set glasses to better enjoyment of their extensive wines list. ”all is charm all is right”...using parodies, as that old Christmas song goes! All involved in a fantastic, rather an unpretentious ambiance style, but without any kind of informalities that could spoil that ambiance > OWNERSHIP and STAFF: Tony Lopez, as owner and executive chef says that he settles for nothing less than excellence from his brilliant menu which includes many herbs, vegetables, and fruits from his own organic farm. He, proudly states that his seasonally driven dishes are ”impeccable” created, prepared and served to impress his costumers. His passion for cuisine has helped him become not only a Chef, but an artist working his recipes as a work of art...as we like and mentioned before. As head sommelier, they had one of the bests around in Peter Freeman, as I - as self-proclaimed wines connoisseur reconfirmed in our conversations that evening. He is a great gentleman, deeply in love and acknowledgeable of wines and takes good care of that extensive and nice wine list at Chatham's Place. Besides that; he also oversees all those many details needed in the dining room's service team. I clearly remember him, on our firsts visits to Chatham’s, on the early-90s. On the floor, we had an excellent service from Hugo and he was, together with many others, an example of the wide origins of their nice, well trained staff > KITCHEN RECIPES AND WINES To properly start or evening, after consulting Peter, we selected a nice ”Drappier” NV Champagne. A perfect and delicious one with its blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, had excellent depth within a well structured core base on it red fruits and a very nice creamy textures on palate As most of the times, knowing that we were there, we bring over, resting for years in our Orlando Cellar, a ”Gevrey Chambertin, 1er Cru Les Champonnets”, from Phillipe Leclerc (which visited 3 years back St his Gevrey Cellars) on his 2010 fantastic vintage. A perfect wine to be paring our main courses. It was a handsome wine on its profound ruby colors and amber tones on our glass ring On the nose it revealed some minerals, cherries and spices. It was an invigorating, but perfumed on palate wine, framed by that spicy structure, which offered us a long aftertaste within a kind of a ”Masculine roundness”, rather than usual feminine Bourgogne elegance! Our selected recipes, after hearing their newest offerings perfectly describe by Hugo, who took excellent care of us through the evening, were kind of a tasting of their classic and newer ones, let's see: After a nice, artistry presented on the table and better tasting on palates, ”Amuse Bouches”, courtesy of the House, we began with our ”Appetizers”: Two (2) different seafood soups recipes; ”Lobster Bisque” for my dear wife and ”Crab Corn Chowder” for myself, both were greatly prepared at the kitchen, but mine was superb with its balances and great pieces of none deconstructed Crab offering the needed contrasts...a great dish served tableside. After that, as impenitent foodies, we shared their new recipe of ”Cold Antipasto”...greatly looking on the table and perfect on its variety of products, like cheese and terrine, eggs topped with caviar, toasted crusts, seafood and fish treats, all of them with their nice kitchen touches and artistry served on table to be shared by both of us After that we received a nice creation seafood treat from kitchen...as a personalize welcome back present, from Chatham’s chefs, ”paisanos” from our DR country of origins, hard working in that kitchen, since they first opened After that, as my wife is a truly ”Oysters lover”, we had 1 1/2 Service of their own ”version” from the classic Rockefeller recipe. As main courses we had their ”classics”...the kind of meaty dish recipes, oldies but truly goodies, which are among those highly preferred by us: ”Rack of Lamb”, good looking on plate and perfectly cooked -oldie style as said, but a superb fantastically goodie classic recipe, preserving as cooked, its meaty flavors and its meat juices and served in a whole Rack style For myself...if there is Duck on any many I’m not to overlook it but to try as many times as possible those Ducks, a fowl meat that I love. This one was a roasted breast of Duck, properly cooked ”a point”, which is to say; not too rare, not too overcooked...preserving its juice meat as it should be to be properly enjoyed...paired with that Phillipe Leclerc’s Gevrey was a match in heavens! Desserts? Knowing that they had another classic that we love, we ordered ahead of time it...we are talking -of course- about one of the greatest classic desserts recipes of all times; the ”Souflé Grand Marnier” ! Between recipe and the recipe and glasses of wines we - especially my dear wife- were enjoying the nice piano, live and soul, interpreted as an entertainer by Bob...the true-classic-kind of music, hard to find, anywhere else not only in Greater Orlando, but in most of our today’s gastronomic -pretended- high-end Places...lacking Soul and Charm, as we re-encountered and found -again- in our dearest ”Chatham’s Place” ! In other words: Not just a simple dinner... A dinner in a classic Place with Charm and Ambiance!

Chatham's is a Must!

By Floridian Traveler |

Chatham's Place is the place to go to for your fine dining experience! Host Sergio, Bob the Pianist, and Chef Tony will have you coming back time and time again. The food here will have you in awe. 10/10 recommend any dish but the Soufflé is to die for! The ambiance is simply so elegant and romantic. You will be treated like family and fed like royalty. This is hands down now my favorite restaurant.

This was the second time we dined in Chatham Place on visits to Orlando. The service is superb being very attentive. The ambiance is wonderful -- an intimate small restaurant, low lights, and background music. The food is outstanding. We have tried several dishes and have never been disappointed. The prices are not cheap but are in line with other fine restaurants in Orlando or New York, Denver, Atlanta, or Los Angeles. This is a perfect place for special occasions. We look forward to our next visit to Orlando and you can be sure, the Chatham Place Restaurant will be on our agenda!

Excellent Food; Very Attentive Service

My sister, wife and I went for dinner one night--sick of food in Disney Springs. Fine dining especially if you are a carnivore. Couldn't have been more impressed. Well worth the approximately 30 minute drive.

Awesome

Visited with friends recently what a great experience the service was top class nothing is left to chance. From the moment we arrived we were treated like as if there was nobody else there even though the restaurant Was very busy. The highlight for me was when my friend asked me would I like to share The Tomahawk steak it Was absolutely delicious will definitely be back.

Be aware of the outrageously priced "specials".

By Richard L |

We went because the review put it #3 in Orlando. The first surprise was the price we saw in the Internet is significantly lower than the price on the actual menu. We ordered duck and daily special "Snapper with Hawaii Orchid". Duck was delicious but with a couple of pieces uneatable. Snapper on the other hand was not worth the surprised price tag of $49! Escargot was good and souffle was at par. The restaurant needs to be honest with its advised prices. 3 stars at best in my opinion. One more thing, when I reserved I mentioned it was for my wife's birthday. But they totally forgot about it.

Best restaurant in town

Great place for fine dining!

Excellent food, service, and ambiance! We came here for date nite on our vacation and were not disappointed. Definitely need to make reservations well in advance. Bob the piano guy was amazing and the food was exceptional! Worth planning ahead to eat here which we will do the next time we are in Orlando.

None Better

By dontneeddrama |

In the back of an office building so unremarkable, you could drive past it for 20 years and not be able to recall a single architectural detail, exists a restaurant so remarkable as to be amazing. Chathams Place delivers an exquisite meal, gracious staff and wonderful live piano music that creates a memorable evening. Located behind Restaurant row on Sand Lake Road populated by the well known expensive national chains(you know who I'm talking about), Chathams puts all them to shame. The food is sublime, our appetizers, beef carpaccio and the shrimp gumbo set the stage. The provided intermezzo of fruit sorbet was an unexpected treat. Our main course, the night's special of veal piccata and crab chunks was excellent, along the light and airy gnocchi. Creme brulee and bananas foster providede a delightful end to an outstanding dining delight. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. How often do you eat out and the water glass is refilled when it is only half full. Incredible. Clean plate club members, this is your restaurant. You can eat out and spend more. You can definitely eat out and spend less. But you will not find a finer restaurant in Central Florida.

One of the Very Best!

We make it a point to dine at Chatham's whenever we're in Orlando. The food, service and ambiance is outstanding!

Witness to Perfection

By dontneeddrama |

Perhaps in your life you have been a witness to perfection. Mickey Mantle coming to the plate in the bottom of the 9th, putting the ball in the right field bleachers. Or watching JAckie Stewart, cock of the North, taking the checkered flag at one of his Formula 1 wins. Or there for Pavarotti singing Italian opera at the Met. No? Never? Peccato, signori e signore. No mind, you can witness gastronomic perfection at Chathams. Every night, all year, you can experience a meal sublime, an amazing appetizer, a even more wonderful entree, and delightful desserts. The appetizers, rigatoni, with bolognese sauce, caviar, and sliced salmon over penne pasta, a feast of tastes and aromas that amaze. The entree, a filet with crab meat, so tender a knife goes through it as smoothly as Excalibur lifted from the stone by King Arthur. Chilean sea bass, like no other. The ambience is created by their master Pianoman, Bob Rose, an amazing talent. And the staff. Professional, courteous and ever helpful without intrusiveness. The Ritz Carlton should send their staff here to learn from the best. And when the bill comes you think "Is that all for such an amazing meal?" We are all blessed that Chathams has survived the pandemic, excellent as always. Why eat anywhere else?

Sublime

By Nord20 |

We visited Chatham’s Place last Saturday to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Having read the reviews our expectations were very high. We were not disappointed. This is a true fine dining establishment. From the moment we entered, every staff member we interacted with was charming, very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the service they offer. The wait staff were on point throughout the evening, never intrusive but always appearing at exactly the right moment. The pianist really is a first class entertainer, expertly making his contribution to the atmosphere personal and intimate. The Sommelier manages to balance sharing his detailed knowledge without making the guests feel like novices, helping us choose a wine that perfectly complimented our meal. And the food....there are simply not enough superlatives in the English language to adequately describe how exceptional the food at Chatham’s Place really is. Each morsel we ate was perfectly devised, executed and plated. Beautiful, perfectly cooked and sublimely delicious. Every mouthful was bursting with fresh, layered flavours. Having had the great privilege of eating in some of the best restaurants across the globe, I struggle to recall a meal I have enjoyed as much as this one. This is an exceptional venue in every respect and I offer heartfelt congratulations and thanks to every member of the team for providing us with an evening we will never forget.

Always a WOW!

By Thunder D |

Chatham's knows how to do it right. The building is non-descript and it has zero curb appeal, but the food is absolutely amazing. The chefs specials are always amazing and the sommelier understands how to pair your wine selection with your food. Also, the piano player is just fun! It will test your wallet, however you will leave saying - "it was worth it!"

An important Birthday

By Bob L |

My wife and I were celebrating an important birthday and a friend recommended Chatham's Place as the perfect venue. The restaurant and bar are small and intimate but the overall experience was surprisingly vibrant. There was a pianist playing and singing old standards...subdued and an energy in conversations among the patrons. Chatham's staff is as polished and knowledgeable as you'll find anywhere. The Somme' was as personable and helpful as you could possibly hope for and served us a wonderful Red that met our expectations and price! My wife had lamb and I had petite filet both of which were fork tender and the sides were beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. Chatham's Place is unique for Orlando and a comfortable welcoming place for a special experience.

Top Notch.

By Britney B |

We had the pleasure of having dinner at Chatham’s Place this past weekend. From start to finish everything was phenomenal. The service was some of the best we have ever experienced. We had a variety of dishes including the Tomahawk special, lamb, and grouper. Each one cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. We had a great time requesting songs from the charming and talented piano player. What a fantastic evening! We will be back!

Wonderful surprise

By Jayne W |

I found this restaurant by asking for recommendations on where to take children for dinner in Orlando. It was convenient to Universal and clearly fine dining. The three of us where one adult with two five-year-old children. We were accommodated with juice, complimentary amuse-bouche, sample of tortellini, help with dividing salad and entree-- we felt special throughout. Everything was exceptional. When the piano player arrived, he interacted with us and also made the children feel special. Portion sizes were small; but four items filled us up. The chocolate cake with ice cream dessert was a wow! So happy to find this gem. We will be back next time we are in Orlando.
