Tortillas 2 Thumbs Up!

By LBandJ06 |

Their house made tortillas were the bomb! We absolutely love it, probably the best I ever had. Even thinking about the tortillas just now made me want to go back to have just that! Pricey but worth it.

Family friendly gem.

We came with our family and absolutely loved it! The food was fresh and flavorful, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and vibrant. It’s hard to find a place that both adults and kids enjoy, but Chichería nailed it. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Highly Recommend

Excellent meal. We liked the tacos, appetizers and mixed drinks. It has a great atmosphere for a fun dinner with clients. I will visit again.

Fabulous selection of dishes and great ambiance at Chiceria Sunday buffet!

By Shelley B |

My first time having the brilliant, delicious, new all you can eat brunch at Chichería Mexican kitchen, in West Midtown. Such a big selection of authentic Mexican dishes, I couldn't even taste them all! Absolutely delicious, and also a feast for the eyes. It was a delight talking to enthusiastic chef Joey Vazquez, who is so passionate about his food and the presentation. Eating out on the patio, the live jazz and phenomenal sunny weather were the toppings on the cake! So many delicious dishes, and also enjoyed the selection of Mexican desserts, including flan de elote and some delicious light pastry filled with fresh warm berries! Very friendly service, not only from the servers and hosts, but even the people dishing up the food at the buffet!

My new happy place

Such a cute space and the service and food are stellar. I needed to be in and out quickly, and Ceci understood the assignment. She highlighted the popular dishes, kept my water full, and the coconut tacos were delicious! They have a lunch special that I'll be back for to try all of the taco versions. Also impressive was the fact that the accompanying rice and black beans were flavorful, not an afterthought. The Works Margarita was tasty - not the same flavor profile as every other place in Atlanta (yay!), but easy drinking (also yay!). Next time I'll be back for the fajitas - someone else ordered them, and they came out sizzling! This is going to be a go-to spot.

Would return!

Great Mexican restaurant, but even better because it’s 100% gluten free. Everyone in the party can be happy (as in gluten eaters will have no idea its GF because it tastes to good!!) Our waitress was fabulous. The fajitas (with blue corn tortillas) were seasoned well and not greasy. Great little place!

A little piece of Baja in the A

By Laura R |

ChicheriaMX is a beautiful space with a very Baja vibe. The woven light fixtures and open tiles trimming the booths are really a vibe. We had a reservation and were seated promptly and warmly greeted. Our server Jada was fantastic. She came over right away and began to tell us about the unique blue corn tortillas that are house made daily. She also told us about all the margaritas and we ordered the house margarita and it was excellent. Our guacamole was very fresh with nice chunks of avo and herbs throughout. I ordered the Snapper Al Pastor taco and it was juicy and delicious. This is a gem of a place. The food is Baja styled … no Tex Mex here. You can certainly channel the Cabo vibe here !

Great bottomless mimosas

By Alex |

Recently had brunch here with a friend. The chicken waffles were so good. The waffles were soft and delicious. We also had the coconut shrimp tacos. I usually don’t like coconut but these tacos were pretty good. And they also offer bottomless mimosas on the weekend during brunch.

Not your average Mexican spot

Great all you can eat brunch! Authentic flavors, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. Must check this out. Located at The Works, there was plenty to do after dining.

A must try in Atlanta.

We were sat quickly. Server was attentive, and got us started right away. Tacos are the best I’ve had in a long time, cocktails were delicious and delivered quickly. We came back for brunch and the buffet was the best I’ve ever had.

Best Mexican Restaurant in town!

By Cliff T |

Had an awesome time here! The service was top-notch, the drinks were strong and affordable, and the menu was incredible. They make their tortillas fresh in-house (so good!), and the tacos were massive. The whole place has a fun, vibey atmosphere, plus it’s super easy to get to with plenty of free parking. Can’t wait to go back! 🌮🍹

It was excellent!

This was a surprise. Thought it would be good food but it was excellent! Wish I could go every week. One of the best margaritas I've ever had and some of the best tacos.

They just didn’t care enough to try. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well…. Maybe the food would have been good. We never found out. Arrived at 5:45 for a 6pm reservation. We were walked out to the dining area with about 3-4 2 top booths with dirty dishes on them and sat at a table against the wall between 2 families with 5 or so young kids/infants. I asked if we could get a booth since it was a date night. The hostess said she could put us on a wait list and that table was ask they had. 😐 After sitting in front of the menu for 10 minutes, I noticed a little block with a QR code on it to order. That would have been nice to know. 😐 In the mean time, a few other tables were sat and brought water and silverware. I thought we would try the Margarita flights but couldn’t find it on the online menu. We gave up and left. Too many good options in the food hall to deal with this mess.

Do not eat here

By Sherpa13376289318 |

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!! It. all began the moment we arrived, we were not greeted by anyone as we stood at the entrance for 12 minutes, strike 1. The hostess sat us on the patio. ( I thought to myself great the patio, nice weather etc. What could go wrong, keep reading). The table was a mess, and the ppl before us had a dog bowl filled with water. I was like ok strike 2. all along I am really trying to stay positive. The waitress finally comes to our table and greets us, we received our chips and dip, My husband ordered a beer and the rest us started with water and I asked for lemon or limes. That took forever to get the beer, all along I like where did she go to Mexico to get the beer and when she came back I said nicely can you please bring some limes and lemons and she actually said oh she forgot. mean while I'm sitting there SMH. When our lunch arrives, mine was half done , then my friend has ordered a hamburger and fries, he asked for ketchup and 20 minutes later still no ketchup. At this point I'm piss off, so I get go find the waitress and she standing talking her friends etc. I immediately find the manager and explain to her situation and tell her I'm not please with this service, etc. As the manager is trying to make things right with our table, my friend is walking towards the bathroom and he hears the waitress talking to her co workers about our table. This place is not professional and extremely rude with no class to talk about customers while we are ones paying. My suggestion is eat some place else. L. Wallace

Great place for baja mexican food!

We really enjoyed the entire experience at Chicheria! You enter a warm, welcoming restaurant with cool decorations all around, and the music is hispanic and pleasant. Ordering was quick and service very good. For appetizers we had the tres playas, which had an excellent salsa with blue corn tortilla chips (gluten free, as all of their dishes are; that was great for one of us gluten sensitive friends). We also had the incredible and different ceviche. I had the braised ribs and mole, which was quite possibly the best, tenderest, and largest platter of beef rib meat I've ever had! The sangria I ordered was different and great. All of us agreed that the meal was very far above average and will certainly go again!

House-made Tortillas and Fun Atmosphere

By SPeck |

We just moved to the area and were looking for a place for lunch. We stumbled across Chicheria MX and decided to give it a try. They have a nice dining room and outside patio, which is where we ate. The service was terrific, as was the food! Each of us tried a different taco plate: Baja Fish, Crunchy Coconut Shrimp, and Carnitas. We LOVED the house-made tortillas, and they didn't skimp on the filling!! For dessert we tried the Churros, which were amazing!!

Beyond Delicious!

Wow! What a find. I had the opportunity to try this restaurant out while visiting Atlanta recently. Don’t let the unassuming exterior mislead you about the jewels inside. It’s such a relaxing and cozy ambiance and the food is definitely worth writing home about. I have to say, coming from Arizona, I was a little afraid of the blue corn tortillas that they use for their tacos since that’s not what I’m used to but after trying the crunchy coconut shrimp and their carne asada tacos houses in these deliciously fresh blue rounds, I can honestly say I wish more of my local restaurants would use them. Also a must is the sweet corn esquires. It was so cheesy, we were supposed to share it but I have to admit, I couldn’t stop eating it and took way more than my share. Sorry/not sorry. lol! I wish I had actually taken some pictures, but I liked the food so much it was mostly gone before I even thought of it. I can’t wait to come back to Atlanta just so I can eat here again. I promise, I’ll get some pictures then 😍
