Kudos to Rapper Ludacris for his Great Food!

By Roblyn |

If you have time, stop and eat in Rapper Ludacris’ Chicken + Beer restaurant in Atlanta’s international airport, at gate D5. You would be impressed with the excellent food and service. You may have a little wait, but is worth it, if you have time. My husband and I shared our sides since we didn’t want so much heavy foods prior to flying.

Best Food I've ever had at an airport!

By Ryan C |

Can't believe how good this place is!!! All of the staff are friendly, attentive and professional. Our server Ariel was really great. The restaurant is clean, bright and well thought out. I had the chicken sandwich, which was delicious. My husband got the short rib mac and cheese and loved it! We also loved the deviled eggs appetizer. I wish I could go to this place all the time!!! A surprising find for an airport restaurant. If we are ever at the Atlanta airport again, we'll come back for sure!

Big portions and a big biscuit

By Sheritha J |

We visited on a layover from Nebraska on our way to Montego Bay, Jamaica. It was worth the trip to Concourse D and then back to B to catch our flight. Service was fast and the food was delicious. The three wings were hot, fresh and well-seasoned. Portions are large and had we known, we would have shared. The honey buttered biscuit is huge. It's the size of a baseball! It was light and flaky, but just too much. Drinks were on point and the bill was reasonable. We will stop there again when we visit Jamaica next year.

Worst staff and food

By Scottl G |

The prices here are very high for barely marginal food with sarcastic and rude staff would definitely keep on walking by. Too many options to waste my time and money here

Great food and service!

By Tina H |

Great chicken. Great beer. Took a few minutes to get seated but well worth it. If ever at ATL again -- would eat here for sure!

Food great! Service needs improvement….

By AOY |

Well… I went here as I had a decent layover and wanted a sit down restaurant. I read several reviews about how good the food is at this place. I arrived around 12:30pm and my flight was to board at 2:40pm. One thing to know is that the place wasn’t packed. I was sat in my space pretty quickly and told me server would be coming. The person let me know she was not the server and the server would be coming. After about a 15 minute wait, I asked the bartender (as she passed by) if anyone was coming to take my order. She took my order and let me know she was not my server but was helping me out. I was appreciative of her help! Of all the staff there, the bartender was excellent and was on top of things. Here is what I observed in my time waiting, staff was going in and out of the restaurant talking to a group of people in the walk way outside of the restaurant. Some people were being waited on diligently multiple times and I received zero service. A different person delivered my food and again said they weren’t my server. My actual server finally arrived to give me if I wanted another glass of wine and to give me the check. No apologies for her delay or lack of service. As for the food, the food was good! I got the catfish sandwich with the rosemary garlic tater tots. The service (outside of the bartender) was poor. I’m thankful that I had plenty of time as I would have left and ate somewhere else if my flight would have been sooner. While the food was good and the sparkling wine was good; I am unsure if I would do this experience again or give the place another shot as I don’t want to have to hunt down staff to place my order. Who knows how long I would’ve been there if I hadn’t flagged down the bartender.

Surprising airport gem

By Ben C |

Service was fast and friendly. The food was excellent. Perfectly cooked authentic southern fare. I had the fried chicken with collard greens and sweet potatoes. The biscuit was also excellent and tasted homemade. This is now a must stop at Jackson Hartsfield.

Awesome

Great food! Excellent service! I loved the ambience. Just dropped my daughter off at Tuskegee. I can now add Luda's spot to my list. I will be back!!

Best chicken & waffles in the A

By Carynn |

If you're flying in or out of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, you MUST stop by concourse D for food and drink at C+B aka Chicken and Beer! I love the chicken and waffles dish. The chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The waffles are delicious. The syrup is very yummy. Their drinks are unique and delish! Whenever I fly in or out of the ATL, I stop here!! Maybe on day, I'll see Ludacris himself in there, as this is his restaurant. ;)

Quick Service, Great Local Beer Selection

By robbiefitz |

I had a layover at the Atlanta airport on a recent business trip and I stopped in here to try some local beer, I grabbed a flight of beers so I was able to try a few. I did glance at the menu and everything sounded good, although I had just eaten so I didn't get a chance to try anything.. but the food coming out of the kitchen looked great!

Great food worth walking away from your gate for!

By Reed |

This is an airport restaurant?!?!? I was really excited to have a long enough layover to finally hit Chicken + Beer. I’ve tried on a few trips through ATL and just couldn’t make it work. I had the Chicken and Waffle. Amazing fried chicken with a good waffle underneath. Syrup and butter were both special and unique tasting. Only negative was that the menu made it seem like the waffle had pecans in it - no pecans in or on it. My dining companion had the fried chicken, also awesome with very flavorful tater tots and a great biscuit. Service was solid, friendly and fast. Restaurant itself leaves a little to be desired. It felt very dark even during the day. You have this awesome airport view and you don’t use it at all and you keep the shades down? Decor seemed uninspired with nothing mentioning Ludacris that I saw. We were also sat at a table that hadn’t been properly wiped down with chairs that had crumbs all over them. Those small issues aside, the food is good enough to travel to the end of a terminal you aren’t flying out of for!

Weigh good chicken against the worst service you’ve ever had

By megzillaa |

I have now determined it’s not a coincidence or a bad day: this place has unmatched terrible service. If you’re craving chicken and waffles in the airport: take a deep brief, center yourself, find your happy place, and really be determined to be cycled through individuals who do not want to provide you service, knowing that at the end of it there will be chicken and waffles.

Good spot for long layover

By Mrs_Ware229 |

We had a long layover and stopped in. The food is good. Make sure you get the Hotlanta sauce!!! Also we sat at the bar and got very good service from Derrick... omg that frozen ginger Moscow Mule is amazing (trust me it would have NOT been something I would not gotten... Im glad I did).

EXCELLENT!!

By Travelerrr |

I was so impressed by the food and service here. Everything was timely, piping hot, and delicious. Will definitely be back there on my next ATL layover.

Wonderful dining experience

By headinthecloudsot |

The food was absolutely delicious. This restaurant makes everything from scratch. The drinks were excellent as well.

Wow !!!!

By JetsettingSue |

We were blown away by the food. The fried chicken was outstanding. Great selection of craft beers. Many brewed locally. The homemade biscuit was wow ! The kaung pow chicken wing appetizer was delicious. Thank you Beverly for your on point suggestion. You are an asset to this company !!!! ❤️

Amazing Service, and terrific food!

By Lee A |

Ludacris has hit the jackpot with Chicken and Beer at Hartsfield airport in Atlanta. While traveling back home to Jacksonville a couple weeks ago, my son and I had a couple hour layover and ate dinner at this restaurant. I ate Shrimp and Grits and my son had a hot chicken sandwich, the food was delicious and the service was terrific. I left my son's windbreaker on an empty seat next to me and ran off to catch our airplane. Halfway home I realized my mistake, so I called the restaurant when we landed and Paula answered the phone. She was able to find the jacket and then offered to ship me the jacket the next day. So, she followed through the following day off (her day off) to deliver to Fed Ex and ship it to me. Service like that is unheard of, something very rare and extra special. Ludacris, I say you are doing something right. By being able to recruit a special person like Paula who went above and beyond the call of duty for someone she may never see again. Thanks again for a great meal and an awesome example of terrific service. I will be back.

Great value for excellent fare

By Eric D |

Stopped here connecting in terminal D Lots of food for $16 Could likely split with a fellow traveler there is so much Also provides a nice place to park with bags

Find it in Terminal D

By Michael A |

Well this was a pleasant surprise! I stopped at Sweetwater's(my usual stop) but They jacked up their prices so I left. Anyways I was greeted by Phillip, what a pleasant young man! He should be a manager some day. All that aside, for an airport bar, the prices and food are priced correctly and the beer selection was great! The bartenders are attentive, quick, and pleasant. So if you have the time, find this place and ENJOY!

Good southern food and quality beer

By Devildoc858 |

Enjoyed the southern fried chicken and a good crown and sprite while waiting on my flight. Was informed that they don’t sell any beer not bottled in Georgia. But they still had a great selection of ipas. Good fast meal

THE place to eat on Concourse D

By Tami A |

Great take on southern favorites. Collards are in my top 2 or 3 all time. Dirty rice very different from standard, but really good! Chicken was freshly cooked and moist. Zoi checked on us regularly and was super pleasant. Will visit again when we fly through ATL.

Delicious

By bigbyrd61 |

On a layover and our food was fresh, delicious and the service was great! We get tired of surviving on burgers and pretzels although you will pay a little more it is worth it! the Cobb salad was perfect and LOVE the fried green tomatoes! Chicken Gumbo hit the spot as well. Husband enjoyed the craft beer. Thanks for a wonderful meal!

Upper Echelon of Airport Restaurants

By Cheketa D. |

My experience with airport restaurants is usually hit or miss. I can confirm that Chicken + Beer is a hit. I ordered the fried catfish, black-eyed peas, and dirty rice with cornbread puree. Special thank you to the amazing Charmain for assisting me with my order. I was skeptical about the cornbread puree and she immediately recognized the look of substitution on my face. She said, "I don't recommend you change anything about that dish." And oh how right she was. The food was so perfect, I refused her offer of salt, pepper and hot sauce. To add anything to that plate would've been disrespectful. The meal was life changing. Chicken + Beer is a must for anyone passing through Atlanta Airport!

Stand Up for Luda's ATL Airport Restaurant

By Veronica H |

My husband and I were excited to try this place, mainly because we love some throwback Ludacris songs and this is his restaurant. (partner with a restaurant company of some sort of course) So, I ordered a flight of beers for $8 (well worth the price) and we shared the fried chicken meal. Being from KY where my granny raised me on fried chicken I wasn't completely blown away by it, but it was good. The sides though, they were so good!!Delicious! The tater tots and grits were yummy and I've heard good things about the sweet potato mash too. Even the hot sauce was quite tasty! I may have to fly back to Atlanta just for this restaurant. The prices are a bit steep, but then again not too bad considering it's the airport. We were excited to take a picture with the cardboard cut out of Ludacris outside the entrance as well. Our server did a great job and everything was clean and fast. He asked if we were in a hurry first, which I felt was super smart considering the airport location. We weren't and got to savor and enjoy.

Stay away from fast food - come to Chicken + Beer!

By erinbeth_11 |

Step away from the fast food! Come to Chicken+Beer! Fantastic fried chicken with delicious sides, an expansive drink and craft beer menu, and some of the best wait staff you'll ever meet. We stop here every time we're in Atlanta for our connecting flights and have never had anything short of outstanding service from the staff, as well as great food. Yes, the prices are a bit higher - but welcome to airport restaurants in a nutshell - but truly worth the price. Grab a pint glass as a souvenir on your way out the door! Thanks to the team there and the great food. Luda puts up a hell of a restaurant and I can see why it's never dead when we stop by, no matter the time of night. Keep up the great work, team!

Chicken + beer doesn’t have great chicken!

By yessie3000 |

I stopped by this restaurant while I had a 3 hour layover in the ATL airport. As soon as I entered the staff was very welcoming and friendly. I chose to order take out and the process was easy enough. The prices were reasonable and the serving portions were very generous. I ordered the 2 piece fried chicken with the tater tots and collard greens as my sides. Being that the restaurant name is based on chicken I assumed that this would be there strongest dish but no I can’t say it was in my opinion. Honestly, the fried chicken was not good at all. However, I chose wisely when I picked my side dishes. The tater tots smelled like a garlic lovers dream and tasted even better! The collard greens were also great and tasted better the next day when I had the leftovers. The biscuit that came with my chicken was huge but tasted just ok. I am not a consumer of beer so I can speak about the bar. I would definitely return to try their other food options and because the staff was so hospitable.

Great Food

By flattiretim |

I had time and I wanted to try Chicken + Beer. DJ was my server and he was great. He pointed out popular items on the menu. I ordered the two piece chicken with tater tots and green beans. Sweet tea to drink. The tea was sweet and flavorful. The tater tots were awesome: crispy outside and tender inside. The rosemary and garlic flavor was spot on. The green beans tasted great and you could tell they were fresh. The chicken was fabulous. Crispy skin, juicy inside and flavorful. They provide hot sauce on the side. That put the tater tots and chicken over the top. Through a mixup I also received a side of grits. They were really good. The biscuit was yummy. I've walked past this restaurant several times over the past few months. I wished I had stopped earlier.

A quick and tasty Chicken Sandwich at Atlanta Airport.

By Roberts69 |

Whilst transiting through Atlanta Airport I dropped into "Chicken & Beer", loacted on the D Gate Concourse, for a quick dinner. I had the C+B Fried Chicken Sandwich 'Hotlanta' style which was sweet and tangy with a tasty crisp. It cost $14.99 + Tax and was served quickly and by a waiter who was friendly and polite (thanks Darien).

Hits the spot after a long flight

By tpham94 |

Admittedly I’m not a chicken and waffles connoisseur, but theirs tasted pretty good to me. Slightly sweet and buttery waffles, some good herbs on the chicken. I felt recharged after my long flight. Service was fast too.

Crummy Service

By fishbone95 |

Went in to have an adult beverage service was slow and crummy. The bar area was crowded and dirty. Had my $8 beverage and left.

Met my expectation for a restaurant in the airport

By 509patsys |

Chicken and waffles is one of my favs but has to be done well as there are only a few ingredients. However, the chicken was good but the waffle was cold with no flavor. There was a nice surprise, the sautéed spinach was excellent. I could have just had a full serving of that and been more satisfied. I will say, the waiters were attentive.

Great food at Concourse D

By R. Traveler |

Owned by Luda - I heard this place had good chicken and waffles. Their menu was limited due to covid but at least they were open (most restaurants in the airport were not). No chicken and waffles so I got the Hotlanta chicken sandwich. It was very good as were the tots. The service was phenomenal (Thanks Zoi!) I would come back again for sure next time in flying through Atlanta.

Fine dining at the airport

By richj65 |

Since I had a long layover so of I decided to leave the international terminal and go to D. I received fantastic service from the waiter Dee Jay. When he asked how much time before next flight I believe that it would be awhile, but within minutes my hot fresh meal arrived. Large portion size at a price you should expect at the airport. Good atmosphere.

Awful - go anywhere but here

By Allison S |

The absolute worst. The hostess was absolutely terrible, argumentative, and so inflexible in a restaurant that was probably 10% full. We watched her run runoff multiple people. We literally got premade sandwiches rather than eat there.

Great food and Atmosphere!!

By Sooner16 |

Was walking through the airport trying to find someplace good to eat after long day of flight delays and found this gem. The food was excellent!!!

Fantastic

By East-mt |

A hidden gem at the north end of terminal D! Great food (I had catfish), good drinks (nice selection of draft beers)and a fun atmosphere. In fact... even the staff seemed happy and fun (a rare experience at airport restaurants. Next time I’m at this end of ATL...I’m going to Chicken + Beer... you should too!

Try a flight.

Large beer flight glasses of 4 beers for $8. Great food. Love the chicken and waffles. Will come back.

Serving up Humanity along with that delicious Chicken, THANK YOU FOR THE KINDNESS!!!

By uclaramos |

Chicken + Beer ATL airport, you’ve always served up delicious food and now in addition to that you’ve served up a huge dose of humanity. THANK YOU! I am so grateful for you all. The people there did me right after flying in from the fires in Los Angeles. I wasn't looking all that great as I came in to get a meal at my favorite restaurant in the ATL airport. I dropped an IG message to Ludacris, really hope he sees this, there are great people who need to be mentioned. Mon 1.13.25 I was lucky enough to be in the presence of Telishia who first saw that I wasn't doing that well, Q the bartender who made a point of giving me a big hug cuz she could see I needed it, Marissa who brought me the first good meal I had eaten in a week and David, the manager who listened to me as I told him about seeing walls of fire in LA. I was made to feel like family. I did not realize the trauma I had from being on high alert for the last week watching my town burn down around me. When I finally got into Atlanta, could breathe air that wasn't clogged with smoke and ash and had the chance to take a deep breath, the weight of what had happened in the last week hit me. I wasn't expecting that at all. I feel so fortunate to have been at Chicken + Beer when my psyche took a massive dip. You all took care of me. I will never ever forget the kindness of strangers. I already loved your restaurant but now? Man, I will be singing the praises of the ATL location. I am humbled by that wonderful group of people I met at Chicken + Beer, Telishia, Q, Marissa & David.. Thank you so much. I'd say "happy new year" but so far, this year sucks. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Dinner at the airport

By Paul A |

Good was great, service good, Has a good beer selection of Atlanta breweries on tap. Looking forward to coming here again.

Great food..

By RaeDubb |

I was there for training. Had I the chicken and waffle which was delicious. And the pork sliders was great too.

Good Food, Good Beer

By Brian F |

Was in Atlanta for a longer layover and wanted to try something new. Was not disappointed! The food was good, had a quick fried chicken sandwich (Hotlanta style FTW) and a tasty Kolsch. The restaurant was a little noisy but it's an airport so I kind of expected that. The waiter was awesome. He made sure to check in with me right away (like as soon as I sat down) to let me know he'd be right over to get my order and he was. Super friendly, very attentive, not always how airport experiences go. Will definitely be back, worth the walk over to D gates.

Layover Feast

By Anthony H |

We had a 2 hour layover and decided to give this restaurant a try. I had low expectations mainly because it was airport food but we were blown away by the quality of the food and great service. The team helped us to order and they were very timely bringing the food. We will definitely be back!

Good food, bad service.

By delaceiba |

I visited the restaurant dueint a long layover in ATL. The bar tender was disinterested and detached. I had to catch her attention but it was not an easy task. Food was decent.

Unique Place and Treatment

By Cornelis M |

Located in Concourse D, between D5 and 7....Great joint...our waiter DJ first question...are you in a time frame for your next flight? Wow...is that service oriented or what. Then the chicken soup was out of this world...where sometimes the chicken has walked through the broth, this one is filled with it, veggies, noodles etc. Great beer choices on draft (crafts), combined with excellent service and atmosphere, reasonable priced for an airport, a must visit when time permits.

Place to eat in terminal D

By wilkinsc79 |

Walked by and friendly staff invited me in. Glad I did! Hotlanta Chicken sandwich with tots was a great choice and highly recommend it. Fast service as well.

Very good meal

By lucycan |

We stopped in on a layover last night. Four of us tried the chicken n waffles, chicken plate, and the chicken sandwich. All were very good. The sandwich was the best. Fries were good. Service was good for Atlanta.

I ordered the Hotlanta wings.

By Chichi Marie |

I ordered the Hotlanta wings. They were sweet and spicy. Full of flavor and super juicy. We also had great service as well. Definitely recommend if you have a layover in Atlanta airport.

Expected better...

By Preston Robinson III |

I expected more of an experience and better tasting food. Everything had a twang taste to it. The collard greens are what took it over the top. They were completely edible. The yams were okay but not enough to recommend. Perhaps other dishes such as burgers or shrimp and grits would be better but your stable dishes can’t be this unbearable. Just take a picture and hashtag it.

Airport pleasant surprise

By Marc N |

Short wait to get in- pricing in line with airport ($12 beer, $19 burger). Service was decent for a packed house. Burger was better than average.

Worth trying

By Dick L |

The advertising for Chicken and Beer around the terminal at Atlanta says "why would you go anywhere else"? Well...the menu wasn't original, the beers weren't original, and the space around the tables was tight. But apart from that, with four hours to kill at the airport, why not? I ordered a pint of draught beer and promptly knocked it over....but within minutes our server had replaced it free of charge...good service there. My friend ordered a paddle of four different types of beer to taste, which was nice. Food was OK. I had a friend chicken sandwich and the flavours were coming through strong. Others were happy with their meals and, overall, it wasn't a bad choice in the end. Mind you, sit-in restaurants are few and far between in the terminal we waited in, so maybe the answer to their own advertising question is - because there is not a great choice elsewhere.

Great food, quick service!

By HawkeyeAlum |

Airport food has moved up several notches! The blackened catfish at this location was very good… close your eyes and you’re in New Orleans with a white tablecloth in front of you!

Last Stop

By Bladimir B |

Last stop before we return back to Florida we’re having a great time enjoying a nice cold beer before we board the plane, We had a lot fun in Knoxville,Tennessee And Atlanta, Georgia.

Our new favorite restaurant!

By ginamarie92 |

WOW! I don’t normally like food at celerity owned restaurants yet alone a celebrity owned restaurant in an airport. But this place was way beyond our expectations! The chicken and waffles were amazing, the Mac & cheese was to die for! And the loaded garlic and Rosemary tots were delicious! But to make it an even better experience, Desiree, our server was on point! She was friendly and knowledgeable. Wish we didn’t have to wait for our next trip to Atlanta airport to eat here!

4 beer flight for $8, good deal

By Don S |

Fried chicken and green beans are delicious, beer flight of local craft beers is a good value. In D concourse near D6.

Great food, limited drink menu

By Femi S |

The food, music and general atmoshpere are all great here! Great place to eat before catching your flight. The drink offerings are pretty limited when considering liquors and beers that are to be "expected" when going out, but I survived with Jack Daniels & pineapple juice. One other cool thing to note is that there are charging ports at the bar, 2 underneath each seat. That was super helpful because I could not find an unused plug in the boarding area; very convenient! Definately worth the stop!

Terrible service

By bigmankiko |

We went to this restaurant to support Ludacris being that we’re huge fans and happen to spot one at the Atlanta airport. From the moment we walked in the vibe was off. The employees looked bothered to do their jobs. We were a party of four and they wanted to separate us. A table opened up and it seemed like no one wanted to clean it up or attend to us. We decided to sit by the bar where there were three chairs available and I went and grabbed one from another table and the bartender rudely told me that I couldn’t be moving his furniture around and that he couldn’t serve us. We spoke to management who was not of help and stated that his employee was right. I decided to leave and as I was leaving I mentioned that they didn’t want our business so we should go to the Atlanta Braves restaurant next door and again the bartender made a rude comment. So as you can see, this restaurant is ran by terrible staff, starting with the manager who allowed this behavior. It’s a shame because all we were trying to do is support an Atlanta business and the owner who we happen to respect. Avoid this kind of service or should I say lack of, at all cost.

Best food in hartsfield Jackson

By atl2tn21 |

I came here while waiting for my gate to open up and the chicken and waffles was so amazing I don’t even know how to describe it. I got it with dark meat and so it was a Belgian waffle with that amazing maple pecan butter and two crispy delicious and juicy chicken thighs. It comes with texas Pete and syrup and you hardly need them as the flavors are so sensational you can hardly add anything to it. It wasn’t even that expensive for being in an airport and with how crazy inflation has been. I would serve this at my wedding, child’s birth, and funeral. It was honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had while eating in the airport. The staff was incredibly nice and service was great

Great spot. Bartender Quanisha is fantastic

By Sherman C |

Stopped in to enjoy some food solo and sat at the bar. Quanisha took great care of me from suggestions for food to a well crafted cocktail. Her knowledge of the menu and hotel was impeccable, her positive attitude was a nice break during my long travel day. I noticed that she was great with other guests too so I had to give her an extra shoutout. The salad and fried chicken was well seasoned and fresh. The collard greens on point. The Luda-fashioned cocktail was delicious. Highly recommended. Thank you Quanisha.

Amazing restaurant in the Airport

By sainere |

Who expects to eat at a fantastic restaurant in the airport? I know I never do. My husband and I stopped at Chicken and Beer during a long layover in Atlanta. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was so friendly and funny, and he seemed to really care about the work he did. I was torn between the chicken and waffles, and the short rib mac and cheese. Our waiter highly recommended the mac'n'cheese. He said, "I tried it today, and I can tell the chef really put all her heart and soul into it." He was right, it was the best mac'n'cheese I have ever had. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Platinum-Level Taste From A Platinum-Level Hip-Hop Star

By SUBZEROSKIDD10 |

Places to eat inside Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are near endless. If you find yourself on Concourse D you must make time stop at Ludacris’ Chicken And Beer. I went for breakfast and ordered the loaded rosemary tots, which were tater tots smothered in Tillamook cheddar cheese, caramelized onion, pieces of bacon, a fried egg, and drizzled with black truffle ketchup, plus I added a diced, fried chicken thigh. This was hands-down the best airport meal I have ever had: the tots were still crispy underneath the generous portion of melted cheese, the bacon was crunchy, the chicken was perfectly fried and juicy, and the black truffle ketchup pulled it all together with sprinkled green onions on top. Every single bite was a taste pallet explosion and I did not want to reach the bottom of the bowl. The only odd thing about the experience was my waiter asked if I would pay right after ordering so that they could leave (apparently some emergency at home they needed to attend to), which felt a little sketchy but it all turned out alright. I liked that they had Ludacris’s record plaques on the wall, pretty cool to look at. Do not let the low-brow name of Chicken And Beer fool you: Ludacris is a platinum level recording artist and this is platinum-level taste. I will, without a doubt, be coming back the next time my travels take me through ATL airport.

Average food...Great service!

By TravelNurse123 |

My family and I had a three hour layover. We decided to stop here for a bite to eat....The food was not bad. It wasn't great either, just average. The atmosphere was nice and the service was FANTASTIC! You should give this place a try at least once..and when you do, ask for Mark! He provided excellent service with a smile.

Worth a Trip to D Concourse

By Gina B |

My husband and I were traveling out of the country for the holidays in the busy Atlanta airport, but decide to build in extra time to visit Chicken + Beer, it was worth the extra time! The food is delicious, my husbsnd had a beer but I had a drink and I wasn't disappointed in how it was made at all and to top it off the executive chef came out to great us....This is a must stop if you are traveling out of the Atlanta airport.

Better than I expected

By B L |

I had forgotten all about Luda's restaurant. One of my co-workers saw it when his flight landed so naturally, it was my choice when we arrived for the return flight. The chicken and waffles were amazing. (whisky infused syrup is GENIUS!) The drinks were good. Not chicken strips either but skillfully deboned and seasoned whole chicken parts. Kudos to the chef and the bartender! My co-worker ordered the chicken sandwich and was also impressed. His was also pleased with his recommended beer. I need to fly in more often!

Finally good airport food

By Nancy L |

Had twenty minutes and I got the best appetizer of deviled egg and chicken skin. Spicy and creamy delicious. Hope I am always on D gate departing in the future. I will definitely go back! Yummy food and friendly fast service.

Good food and beer but loud as heck!!

By man_of_amy |

Great selection of beer. I took advantage of their beer flights, reasonably priced at four tastes for $9. I just had the calamari appetizer which was really good but very small portions. Four ladies were drinking and talking/yelling loud throughout my time there. The restaurant obviously has no control of the atmosphere.

It was okay...

By Airwolf8475 |

Before flying out, my family and I decided to try out this restaurant since it was near our gate. Our waiting for seat didn't take long, but as we sat down, we were informed that they were out of wings, which was no big deal. However, my father-in-law and I were very disappointed that they did not have our drinks of choice available, he wanted Ciroc and I wanted the Terrapin Hopsecutioner. Our server, Sasha, did make me a recommendation which I did follow, and my drink was pretty decent. As far as the food, my father-in-law ordered the shrimp and grits. I could tell that he wasn't overly impressed, but he did finish it all. My wife and I had the 2-piece chicken meal. To be quite honest, I was impressed on the quality of the chicken. It wasn't too spicy or greasy. The skin was crispy and was moist on the inside. My wife had the cheese grits and I had the rosemary tater tots. Being brutally honest, the food is not overwhelming......it's the airport and the name of a celebrity on it that adds to the allure. I would patronize this restaurant again but it wouldn't be on the "must do" list.

Local Georgia beers

By maryellensteves |

Great way to pass the time over fried chicken and Georgia craft brews including some favorite microbreweries. Chicken and waffles and wings were good. Next time I fly out I'll get to the airport earlier so I can try other items on the menu.

Not a beer drinker, but stopped in for the chicken. It was this or Popeyes. Love Popeyes, but thought I would give the chicken a try. Great choice. Some of the best fried chicken I have eaten. Now, two of my favorite restaurants are in airports.

Fun, fast, friendly and delicious.

By targator |

Awesome service. My fun, cheerful and attentive waiter Damien made this experience even better. I got the 2 piece Southern fried chicken which came out quickly and was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Came with 2 sides and I loved the Mac n Cheese best. Beer list was awesome too. Great fast service and I loved how they asked how much time you have as you sit down. Prices very reasonable for airport. Best airport food experience in a long time. I’ll look forward to flying more through Atlanta just to go back!

Greasy chicken

By Gabriele F |

The fried chicken is good. The staff is courteous. Huge portions, as often in the USA one dish is enough for two people. But everything is really too greasy. There doesn't seem to be much better in the Atlanta airport, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it anywhere else.

A must stop for a meal at ATL!

By vtxriders |

Wow! I had the blackened catfish and it is easily the best meal I’ve eaten out in a long time (and I eat out a lot). Our waiter, DJ, provided the most amazing service. I hope he’s making a lot in tips because he has it going on and could serve in the finest dining establishments! The only negative was when standing at the “Please wait to be seated” sign, the hostess stood there looking at a tv for a bit before asking if there was something she could help us with. “Yes! The sign says to wait to be seated and we are waiting to be seated.”

No go!

By Wil. T |

Nice people, Terrible food! Three of us got different items. burger, fried chicken, and a salad. Unfortunately, none were good.

Surprisingly good

By sunnysusie55 |

My sister and I were traveling home from Atlanta thought we might catch small lunch and a drink or 2. We were immediately met by DJ who turned out to be our waiter. He immediately Introduced himself, gave us water and menus and asked when our flight left. With had information he recommended items on the menu. We went with 2 of his suggestions and split Crawfish and corn fritters and 2 piece fried chicken with rosemary garlic tater tots and collard greens. There was way too much food for just 2 people and we ate as much as we could and took the rest with us. Next time I come I think I'm just gonna order the crawfish corn fritters. They are crispy without being oily they taste of crayfish and corn And the batter is absolutely delicious. I'm told they are handmade. They used the tale of the crayfish. It is served with a spicy sauce on the side which is also delicious. The fried chicken was crisp delicious and not oily. Collard greens were yum. The tater tots were the best I've had anywhere. They were really crispy, non greasy and had a great flavor to them, garlic and rosemary. You have a great selection of beer and also of hard alcohol and wines should you so choose. They could get you in-and-out in a short period of time.

Best Food at ATL

By Robert M |

By far the best food I’ve ever had at ATL airport. Bartenders were great too. Very friendly. Great view of the Tarmac at Terminal D and seeing all the planes taking off. If I have another layover here I’m stopping by every time.

Delicious food with a good vibe

By LDCJack |

Stopped in this quaint location on concourse D to see what the hype was all about. It's absolutely worth the hype! The ambience is chill, the tables also serve as charging centers for your electronic devices, there is a bar and delicious food. The fried chicken sandwich (hot) was not too hot, but just the right spices. The chicken and waffles were savory. This is place is worth trying.

Absolutely amazing!!

By Trblek |

This was my best meal my whole trip. My server suggested the two piece chicken. I got sweet potato mash and green beans. It was amazing. Not something you would expect in an airport but I was so thankful it was there!!!

A lovely find in the Atlanta Airport

By TravelingFool88005 |

This was a very pleasant stop during our long layover in Houston. I liked the fact that the beers were local and they were really good. The fried chicken and sides were delicious. The collard greens were the best that I have ever had.

Atlanta airport special

By Ron E |

This place is nice. I like the atmosphere and the food. The 3 wing meal is my "go to", but I like the soup also. Good for an airport meal.

Ludacris can fry chicken

By Jimmy C |

We were traveling for the weekend and had about an hour before our flight in D concourse. My wife was hungry and Chicken+Beer was just across from our gate. They have a great craft beer list and several craft cocktails. I ordered the deviled egg snack plate. It has 3 deviled eggs, pickles, celery, and deep friend chicken skin. Yes, deep friend chicken skin. They should serve them as popcorn chicken skins. They were very good! The deviled eggs were ok. I would order them again, but with a little more creativity folks would line up for these alone. My wife ordered fried chicken and shared a wing with me. It was large and delicious. Ludacris knows good fried chicken! He should open a brick and mortar at The Battery imho. And add fried chicken livers.

Lay over

By justinp460 |

So I'm from the South originally and all I have to say is y'all need to try this place. Flavors are on point. I got the chicken with greens and sweet potatoes. Wife got shrimp and grits. I'd order mine again. Great meal. Never thought I'd get this kind of food in an airport.

Good airport stop

By Matt S |

The Atlanta airport no doubt has upped it's food game in the past several years. There are several great options to try throughout the different terminals. We went to Chicken+beer due to a long layover, and the promise of trying some good craft / microbrews. Overall, the beer selection was excellent, with some very good local options. The food was also good; my chicken tender salad was very large, and tasty; I enjoyed it. The service was a bit slow, but we were there during peak dinner time, so that had in impact. Finally, for an airport specialty restaurant, the prices were reasonable. Overall, this isn't a bad airport food stop!

Where is the waiter. Where is he?

By smalltowngirl |

Whenever I have a layover in Atlanta Airport I stop here. This was my third time. I sat at the bar that had a vent above it. The air was hitting the top of my head. I placed my order for the chicken sandwich and tater tots. I asked to move because I was getting cold. The hostess was able to accommodate me. This put me in another person area. He brought the food out and I never saw him again. I had to flag the hostess down because I needed to pay. I mentioned this to the hostess that I NEVER saw the waiter. I left the money and tip on the table and walked away. He came from around the corner and scooped up the money. I'll still come back but the service was not as good as the first 2 times.

Glad flight was delayed!

By orange-u-tall |

After a fun filled last day in the ATL, I was somewhat flustered that my flight was delayed. But I then remembered reading about this spot in a craft beer magazine. So I used my extra time to hustle down to the D terminal for the quality of airport food and beer that is hard to find despite the markedly improved offerings at most terminals. Although it is very busy, I will definitely return next time I am here.

Just ghetto

By Krystal Thomas |

Well I never really got a chance to taste the good because they opened up an hour late. I was there 20 before 10 and the restaurant was suppose to open at 10 so I waited. 10 came and the bald headed manager was still by the entrance on his phone talking . People were asking what time y’all going to open and be kept say in 5 minutes . Finally after 15 minutes of being questioned about opening he got up and went in the back and never said anything to the group of people who was waiting. At 1030 I left walked back down to 5 guys got my food sat down and ate and when I passed back by at 11 am yo board my plane it was still closed. Poor management skills they lost money and customers by opening up late. By the poor service when I do return I’m already good on going there.

SLOW SERVICE

By BlueHeronInnAI |

I walked into this place at 1 o’clock in the afternoon I still had not received my food or any attention whatsoever By 1:20 at 1:35 and my order was placed and I received it 1:44 PM this the slowest service I’ve ever received in the restaurant.

Great stop if ever in ATL

Great stop if ever in ATL airpote! I got the Hotlanta chicken biscuit and it lived up to the name. Quick and reasonable prices. Thanks Luda! Sincerely GA Native

Best airport meal ever!

By UTZ |

We had a couple hour layover at the Atlana Airport and stopped for dinner and a few drinks. Holy smokes! The food was amazing, best airport meal I've ever had! The beer selection is great and service was first class. Don't go to the same old chain you have at home, give Chicken and Beer a try, you won't be disappointed!

Best chicken sandwhich

By Vangeli |

Chicken was big, delicious and juicy. Mac and cheese and tots were amazing. 5 stars definitely come try it out if you get a chance.

Amazing beer selection

By colinwehrle |

Possibly the best restaurant in the airport. Our waitress was extremely friendly and kind. The beer list is amazing for being in an airport is super amazing. I was honestly shocked at the tap list. Also flights are only 8 bucks which is nice. The food was amazing and I highly suggest the rosemary tater tots for an amazing side!!!!!

Great beer selection and Southern Comfort Food

By gs24x7 |

Although Ludacris, was not at the restaurant in person. Our server sounded and acting like him just a few years younger. I don’t usually say this about airport restaurants, but this place is worth just a flight to ATL and back home. The service, although very laidback was great. The server new the menu very well and was able to recommend different dishes and the beers that paired well with them. Now for the beers on tap and bottle. The selection of beer offerings at Chicken+Beer was amazing, one of the most diverse selection of local and micro-Breweries I have seen in a long time. If there was one thing that I can say negative that would be that the beer flight was ONLY four beers and I would have loved to have tried all of them ;). If you like American IPAs Three Taverns Craft Beer, has a wonderful one called “A Night on Ponce”, that is on tap at Chicken+Beer Now, with “Chicken” being part of your name you would expect the chicken wings to be amazing, and you would be correct in your assumption. The “Three Whole Wings” and the “Fried Calamari” is amazing and should be ordered. The “Fried Catfish” was also really great, although fish had a little too much breading for me, the flavors were spot on. However, if you are not a big fan of Fried Catfish sideline the catfish and try the amazing Black Eyed Peas and Dirty Rice. Looking forward for another layover at ATL

Excellent service. Food was good too.

By lisav871 |

Priority club was full so we were looking for somewhere to eat lunch and ended up at Chicken and Beer. Our gate was D4 so not much else down that way. So happy we ended up there. I love when you have one or two kind people but we had 4!! Yep, truly we had 4! The hospitality was over the top. Terrance the manager greeted us in the hallway when we were discussing where to eat. He was super friendly and we had no idea he was the manager or worked there. We got in line and immediately we were greeted by hostess Savannah. She said she'd clean a table and be right with us. We were seated shortly after. Our server was Areille. She was exceptional and attentive. She confirmed my choice of chicken tacos to be a winner. She checked on us several times. Finally, Shar stopped by the table to see how our experience was. I think she was a manager also. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. I'd go there again in a heartbeat. I only know their names because I asked. They were worth the good review!!

Great food and service

By Dev |

The staff was very professional and polite. The food was very great with a few twists. The menu has a lot to choose from besides chicken and beer.

Great for an airport

By isumike |

They have a great beer selection and offer flights. We tried all 8 and enjoyed most of them. Good comfort food, sandwiches, etc. Definitely my favorite in ATL airport now.

Unexpected!

By travelgirl315 |

If you would have told me I was going to find the best burger I've had in a long time at the Atlanta airport, I would never have believed it! Walk away from the crowded hub and head down towards Chicken & Beer. It was completely uncrowded with good service and fantastic food! It's Ludacris!

Hunt this place down!

By TravelingFool88005 |

This is the second time that I have been here during a layover. We seek this place out and are excited when we have more than an hour in Atlanta. The food, service and drinks are spectacular. This is not your typical airport food.

Loved it

By Paul B |

Can't believe this is in an airport. Really good food, beer and drinks. Sandwiches, chicken and salads were all really good. Nice staff and moderate (low end airport) prices. Wort a trip wherever you are at in the airport!

Best place to eat at ATL

By spvincent033 |

Owned by Ludicrous. One of only two restaurants at the Atlanta airport that has made from scratch food ! You will not be disappointed by your choice. The fried chicken and waffles is amazing ! Moist fresh fried chicken over a soft fluffy waffle. Full service bar available. Angie is a wonderful bartender and will help navigate the menu with you.

Better than average airport meal

By Brian C |

Choose Chicken & Beer based on reviews during my 2 hour layover in Atlanta. Sat at the bar. I had the 3 taverns IPA to drink and the patty melt with tater tots as a side. The patty melt contains chicken, cheese , cans collard greens. Both were good. Bar service was efficient and attentive. The food took longer than I expected. Make sure you have at least 60 minutes.

Bizarre

By ar118 |

Very unpleasant staff. Would not let us seat down even when we said that we don’t mind having a drink first. At least two tables available. When they finally decided to “do us a favour” they wouldn’t wipe the table! Unreal experience.

Never again

By Cory M |

I have been here over 20 times....food is always great and service is typically decent. Was there today, it was busy, I waited in line and advised the host that I was meeting somebody but her flight was delayed...she sat me anyways. Ordered food and was about done when the waiter came up to me and said I will need to leave. I asked why, he said the host denied seating me there implying I didn't wait in line and that I was by myself and people were waiting. Absolutely baffled, I made my peace with the server who didn't seem to care.... ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE...and the food this time sucked. When I was leaving, they had 3 people in line....🤷 Will never go back!

Not impressed

By 340cruiser |

Had a layover and the place sounded interesting. I ordered the double cheeseburger - their menu is very limited and they don't offer a single. The waiter was very nice but not the most attentive. He didn't ask me how I wanted the burger cooked and I didn't think to ask. It came out medium rare and unfortunately so did the fries. Burger was pretty bland despite having cheese and bacon. Also includes fried onions on the burger but they were almost non existent and had the tough outer skin included. This meal was really expensive for what I received and had it been priced a little lower I would have given it three stars.

Amazing once again but one thing

By Brian B |

I have stopped in at Chicken & Beer multiple times...ok..honestly every time I fly in and out of ATL. The food and service is always top notch! Folks everything is good, but do yourself a favor and have their chicken and waffles...it’s amazing. So I have been to other places that serve chicken and waffles but the fried chicken here is fantastic. I usually sit at the bar and enjoy an adult beverage. They have on tap some of Georgia’s own craft beers but a good selection of other drinks as well. The bartenders there will not steer your wrong. This day Cuauhtem (I think i got it right) was on point..he has great energy and was super informative and kept all the customers needs maintained. So even if your in a rush the staff there will take care of you to make sure you are feed before your flight. Well worth the stop folks, only think is I wish they would open earlier than 10am. There where at least 6 people that walked up while I was waiting and had left because it wasn’t open. Please open a little earlier!

Amazing food

By DonnaLH74 |

This is the best airport food I have ever had. Had chicken sandwich and it rocked. We all loved our food.

Authentic quality

By Sandra M |

I can only vouch for the fried chicken (dark meat) which was crisply breaded, seasoned just right, and really succulent, the magnificently tender and large biscuit, and the local beer on tap (the place IS called chicken + beer after all). The portions were generous, the service was prompt and considerate (I was there for a late lunch about 1:30 pm). For me it sure beat a chain offering.

Great food ask for DJ (best server of all time)

By beachvaca12345 |

Stopped at ATL for our trip in November. Popped and chicken and beer for meal then realized it was owned by Ludacris. Probably the best airport food I’ve ever had in my life along with incredible service. The music was fantastic food came fast and the people are awesome. As for DJ young hard-working server who went above and beyond.

Really good hot sauce

By Jacqui H |

Travelling to Dallas and heard about Ludacris's restaurant and it was right near our gate. So despite our flight being half an hour to the gate close off, I somehow convinced that we should try it out. So I thought of the quickest thing I could order, the three whole wings. It took a little while but I scoffed it down as quick as I could, even though my fingers were burning. The hot sauce was soooo good, seriously. Would like to go back and eat peacefully next time lol.

My Go-to Restaurant At ATL

By MarthaFromAlabama |

I have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. One of my favorites is the Pesto Chicken Patty Melt with Rosemary Tater Tots. Good beer selection. And I just discovered that although they don’t have a breakfast menu they will cook it for you!

Lay over

By Roger C |

Great waffles and chicken. Bourbon maple syrup was good. I like a little more bourbon but the chicken was tender and very tasty. I never realized it was even on D concourse. Good selection of beers too!!

Incredible

By CapemaySailor |

Not only the best Airport Food that I've ever eaten, it might be the best Chicken Sandwich that I've ever had.. I had the Hotlanta Chicken Sandwich, my wife had the Fried Chicken and we both agreed that they were flat out awesome. Our friend had the Cheeseburger and also said that it was incredible. Service was extremely good, and very pleasant.

Great Beef Burger

By Jane L |

I can’t believe this is an airport restaurant

By Andy939064 |

This is the best airport restaurant I have ever eaten in. Service was fast and friendly. Donald was our waiter and was very nice, knowledgeable, and quick. The food was unbelievable. We had fried catfish sandwich, chicken sandwich, and chicken and waffles. The fried catfish had a perfect cornmeal breading and was steaming hot but not overdone. The rosemary tots were some of the best I ever had. Several good beers on tap. The manager came by to make sure everything was great. Really friendly people and man could they cook. I will definitely be coming by here the next time I go through the Atlanta airport.

Perfect layover stop!

By Daniel |

Such a great layover stop with a great menu selection with variety. Definitely recommend taking advantage of the beer flight options. The staff offered great service and recommendations!

Cold Food and HORRIBLE Service

By Living my Best Life!! |

I just left the restaurant and I will NEVER eat here again. I came in around 8:45. The waitress didn’t acknowledge me until about 15 minutes after that. She brought water and glasses. I asked for ice and it took another 15 mins for that. There were some gentleman sitting across from me who just got fed up and left. She spent the next 15 mins chasing them through the airport only to come back to the customers she left unattended. I am also very very disappointed with the level of professionalism displayed once I revived my meal. There were still four customers dining in while listening to all employees yell, scream, and bet on an NBA game as if no one was there but them. It was like they were having a party and we were invisible. I also withnessed the hostess dancing, singing, and cursing as if there was no work to be done or no customers present. What an experience? HORRIBLE is being nice.

Nope

By Staci |

I was excited to try this place, good was not good. Chicken was underwhelming, mac n cheese and short ribs for $20 portion size was really tiny, taste was average. Wouldn't visit again.

Airport Gold!

By Shayda47 |

Who thought of this idea? Ludacris' restaurant in one of the busiest airports? Hats off to you! As an avid hip hop fan, once I saw the sign for Chicken & Beer, I knew I had to make the trek from my terminal taking into account the time and boy was it worth it. I love Ludacris and wanted to experience what we don't have access to in Canada. We were there during lunch and service was quick and very hospitable. The servers/host really made for a great experience. What we had - well we went to a Chicken & Beer place and didn't have chicken!! We had the burger that $13 and came with a side. I chose mash potatoes and I can honestly say it was so filling and flavourful. We matched this up with a flight of beer that was to die for. We were in and out in no time and I recommend that if you are at ATL airport-eat here! You won't be disappointed!

Finally chicken and waffles

By James C |

My last hours on vacation and I finally got my chicken and waffles. It was delicious. The chicken breast was juicy and crispy. Waffles were tasty to with the maple syrup and pecans. My wife had the fried chicken same thing tender and crispy. The green bean were fresh to. I am very now I got my chicken and waffles.

I would fly through ATL just to eat and drink here

By Acemajorphi |

I just happened to fly out next to Chicken + Beer. It was not as crowded as most of the places, so more quiet. I sat at bar and could see TVs and out to watch planes. I felt like I was in a real restaurant. I have never reviewed a place in an airport, but this was great. Lot of GA beer. I did a beer flight for $8! Abe the Chicken Patty melt was incredible. The tater were great too.

SERVERS ARE TRIFLING!!! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

By Sonja S |

7/29 I frequent this place often when I travel because it's the only restaurant/bar at the end of Gate 4. I walked in and sat down at the first available table I saw. I sat and waited for about 15 minutes, while I observed 3 female servers talking to each other. I watched them glance over at me but no one came. A few minutes later a bald, dark skinned guy whose name I later found out was Cornelius or something like that walked past me to the table across and service the people directly across from me. I spoke and tried to get his attention but he acted like he didn't hear me. He cut his eyes at me so I thought he heard me but he turned and began to walk away so I raised my voice a bit more and said EXCUSE ME! AGAIN. He kept walking and totally ignored me. A few moments later the hostest greeted me and asked me if I needed a menu. I told her what happened and she apologized left and got me a menu. I told her at that point I didn't want any of the servers to serve me and could she find me a seat at the bar. 5 minutes later I was seated at the bar and asked to speak with a manager. She stopped by and I told her what my experience was. She listened, was empathetic to my experience and apologized for it. If it were not for her and the hostess and the bartenders I would not return.

Food!!!

Really good food, great music and wonderful staff. My hubby and I will definitely visit again while at Atlanta airport. Ty was a wonderful server.

Chicken + Beer - Yessir!

Stopped in for some eats while waiting on connect to FL, and wow what a surprise! Down-home serious food in the airport? Yea, trust me, it was like dat! Everything we ordered was good, and in good size portions! Please put one up in the DC area, and I garontee they will be waiting in line to get some of this!

AAA+ choice

By Sirena1234 |

While in Atlanta Airport we missed our flight and decided to go for lunch. Based on positive TripAdvisor reviews we decided on Chicken & Beer. Upon arrival, we were seated at the bar. Donald, our bartender was phenomenal. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and made a number of recommendations for food and drink. They have numerous choices of local beer and cider that were very good. There were 2 in our party and we thoroughly enjoyed the Souther Fried chicken with delicious butter honey biscuit with 2 sides (collard greens and tater tots) and hamburger that was way above average of any airport we've been in recently. If you're in Atlanta Airport and looking for a reasonably priced, nice place to eat, look no further than Chicken & Beer. Highly recommended.

I had an hour to kill waiting on my flight. So I decided to have something to eat. This was the closest place to my gate. So Chicken + Beer it was. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was great. I ordered the BBQ chicken Tacos. Service was ok. Very cool restaurant.

Good Eats but Not Great

By Tht_Queen_B |

I recently ate here beginning of November. I had the Fried Catfish and Tater Tots. Let me start with the catfish, it was fried perfectly a bit on the small side. I must say the batter and flavor was so good you didn’t even need hot sauce. The tater tots has garlic on them and the were ok. I think the tots itself were cooked too crispy. I would choose another side. I enjoyed the table side water kraft and the restaurant had a good ambiance. The prices were typical airport food prices. The waiter provided great service, GO Dwayne R!

Chicken and fried green tomatoes

Best airport. Meal I’ve had. Got frien green tomatoes and chicken sandwich. Both quite good. Service very good by airport standards.

Who says airport food is bad?!? This place is awesome! The fried chicken and catfish are superb, and the collard greens was just speechless👍

Best Restaurant in Airport

By Taylor |

This is my favorite place to visit at the airport if I am flying and have time! Highly recommend! Also owned by rapper “Ludacris”. I got the shrimp n grits!

Good Service, OK Food

By HBR2000 |

I know it's odd to say, but the size of the chicken pieces were very small. The chicken was mostly breading. I suspect this is a cost saving measure. On a positive note, the sides were good, as was the service.

Great food, good local beers

By eightonesix |

I had a long layover and after opting to pass up BW3s, Friday's, and a long list of chains and ATL staples, I found this near my gate. Man was it good! The food was outstanding, fresh and delicious. The sides were incredible, especially the succotash. The local beers were great, and the bartender was able to tell me all about the local brewery. He said the beer I was drinking on a Sunday had been brewed on Friday. Will visit over and over!

Owned by Ludacris, nothing disappoints

By Chase V |

Fair airport prices on craft beer $6-7 choices of a flight to try the local craft out of 8 beers. We ordered the classic chicken sandwich and it was probably the best chicken sandwich we have had and living in Oklahoma we have a ton of fried options. Stop here if you have time to spare it’s in terminal D near gate 5, a bit of a walk from the central entryway of terminals.

Something to click about!

By jmccoylee |

We stopped at Chicken + Beer as we waited for our flight to leave. Our waiter was very kind and made great suggestions based on our time constraints. The chicken was delicious. I also loved the Mac and cheese. My cocktail had a double shot which made for a restful flight. lol

Irritating

By Sheilavehla |

Annoying… no pricing in the menu not by the QR code. Understaffed and staff with an attitude. Long line to get in and it was mismanaged too. Do something right? Clean bar, I guess.

The restaurant name is well named

By Steve Gibson |

Unfortunately, we lacked the time to stop here on both layovers at the ATL airport. Chicken + Beer is located in Terminal D near gate 5. This airport is insanely massive. Don't plan for this place unless you have a nearby gate and >30 minutes before boarding starts. The restaurant is not large but we were seated immediately. The aesthetic is typical airport restaurant. Ludacris's influence is primarily felt through the music videos playing on a screen. Content may not be great for kids given genre however we couldn't see and barely heard it. Service was at just about the speed needed for people in airports with a time crunch. We ordered to go and everything came appropriately packaged with necessary utensils & condiments. The beer section was quality as the name implies. The chicken & waffles were excellent. Got the white meat version, with 2 sizable breasts given the right amount of crunchy & spicy breading. Waffles were thick and warm. The ribs and burgers that my family got were good not great. Will definitely try to get food here (just the C&W specifically) whenever passing through Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. However, it must be stressed that navigating ATL is no joke and that you're always better finding your gate here sooner rather than later.

Best chicken and waffles. Period

By rusty_fwg |

Yeah, I said it. I've eaten 'em all over the country. I thought I'd found the king once in Seattle... But Luda's spot takes the cake. Or waffle in this case. The beers are all local and awesome. They have a Thai wheat right now, if it's there when you come, it's pretty awesome. I had all the lighter ones on a tasting flight. Service was great from the lovely greeter to the bartenders and my server, Fatima. The manager was around and interacted with the customers about food, sports and beer. Kept the feel lively. Very classy joint and played great music from the ATL and beyond. The light rail in the airport is very fast so if you have at least an hour, come here! I have never seen so many fried chicken spots in one central location as in this airport!! They're everywhere!!! I've been a fan of Luda's music for a long time, and want to give him some props for this joint!!

Poor Service

By Linda R |

At Atlanta Airport, just wanted a drink while we waited at the gate. We stood by the bar to order a drink as there were no bar seats available. The bartender ignored us & then a "manager?" came & said we cannot order from the bar & need to be seated at a table. We said we didn't want to order food, just a drink. After a bit, we were seated. We waited 15 minutes before someone finally took our order; then waited almost 10 minutes to be served a beer & an overpriced glass of wine. We were patient & yes they were busy, but I would not go back or recommend this establishment. I've been in similar settings with much better service!

Best Chicken at The Airport

By Carl Eats Here |

This title may not sound like an Accolade but trust me. Everytime I am going or coming from Atlanta. How did this place end up here? It must be because the original nearby qais good. Chicken is perfect and they are spot on with all the sides making it hard to choose. Carl eats here when on the fly. Ya'll come back now, ya hear!

A Nice Surprise!

We stopped in on our way through the ATL airport thanks to reviews on TripAdvisor. We were NOT disappointed, either! While I would not give it a 5 outside of an airport (where standards are generally low) we were very happy with our experience. I tried the fried catfish sandwich which was lightly fried in cornmeal and still moist and tender. I had collards as a side and they were nicely cooked. A good lager and iced tea capped off a very good meal. My wife had the 2-piece fried chicken which was served hot and fresh from the fryer. Boneless dark meat which was tasty and moist. She enjoyed her tater tots as well. We very much appreciated the cloth napkins and real tableware compared to so much disposable plastic in almost every other place. Prices are, well, airport level. We pass through ATL from time to time and will be back!

Best Chicken and Waffle I ever had

By uncvcutraveller |

I had a local GA beer called Creature Comforts Tropicatia Beer-IPA with a citrus flavor; it was bitter when I first tasted it but had a very smooth finish. Had the Luda Waffles and Chicken-best chicken and waffle I ever had (sorry Roanoke, VA); I think it is because there was an Indian spice (chutney) in this dish that helped make it tasty; customer service was really good and one of the best I have ever seen at a restaurant. Even if the food was terrible, I would give the place a 5 becuase the service was awesome. If my layover is over 2 hours (from the time I come out of the plane to the time I board my next flight), I would eat here and try the same dish or something else. They do tailor if one is in a rush to get on the next flight but I do not think the food would be that great if the staff “feels rushed”. I hope this place stays in ATL airport for a long time. Highly recommend it.

Way to go Sean

The service and food at the ATL airport location was fabulous. Sean was our server and very attentive and polite. It was the fastest service we have ever had in an airport restaurant. Thanks Sean and the Staff.

HORRIBLE SERVICE 07/15/2022

By Diana R |

While waiting for our flight, we made a mistake to pick this place where we were treated like we were begging. The waitress technically threw my ONE YEAR OLD daughter water on the table. She was upset since we walked in and ask are you guys drinking and eating too? WE PAID AND TIP YOU GIRL! the customer service is HORRIBLE. We felt uncomfortable, she was staring at me like trying to say something. RUDE girl, she is african American, short hair (Bald Cut) Black hair because there was another one there, but blonde hair. I am HISPANIC, and must likely Atlanta customer service treats our people like crap. COME ON NOW!!! I know my rights, and I am paying just like everyone else. I hope she enjoyed my entire meal that i didnt even eat of how uncomfortable and disgusted we were about that woman. She is definitely a monster.

Great place to eat before your flight

Chicken and Waffles FTW

By Joel O |

Chicken tacos appetizer were excellent. The short rib in the Mac and cheese was perfectly cooked. The chicken and Waffles were the best I've had.

Decent

Service was pretty bad to start, waited over 10 minutes setting at the bar on a particularly non-busy day to even get recognition, let alone place me order. I think they were in the midst of a shift change. However, once we got rolling the service, food, and drink selection was good. Will likely return.

Stopped for a beer, stayed for the Chicken

Great food and good beer. I was in between flight here at the airport and decided that I had time for a beer. While drinking it I figured dinner was in order. The staff was all friendly and quick with the orders as required in an airport.

Great Dinner During Long Layover at ATL

By nankc67 |

We had a 4.5 hour layover at ATL, and I decided to see what all of our food options were at the airport. I found a website that listed the top eateries and Chicken + Beer was in our terminal. It is away from the other restaurants, but we are so glad we found it! They have a good selection of craft beers and wines, as well as a full bar. The food is good Southern cooking with some modern twists. My husband and I got the pork belly sliders to start. The meat was tender, and the BBQ sauce and slaw were the perfect balance. The chips that accompanied them were very good. I got the fried chicken with cheese grits and collards. The chicken was moist and flavorful with a crispy crust. The grits were creamy with shredded cheddar melted on top. The collards were tender with shredded pork mixed in. The molasses biscuit was light and fluffy with a hint of sweetness. My husband got the chicken sandwich, which he declared amazing. The service was good (our server actually bore a resemblance to Ludacris), and the portions were large. I was sorry that I had another flight before I got home, so I could not take my leftovers with me to have later. Chicken + Beer was much better than your standard airport fare. It is worth checking out if you have the time.

Just ok.

First off, my server was great. They were pretty busy but Jared took good care of me. My issue was the beer selection and the food. I’m not a “beer nerd”, maybe I should have been more critical of the menu before going in, but when you are at the airport, waiting for a flight, it’s not like you have many options. I tend to like a popular lager or wheat beer. Their lager seemed dark to me and I didn’t care for it. I didn’t try any of the other “designer” beers. This is the kind of place I’d expect to find young guys, trying different beers and discussing their flavors, hoppiness, and that sort of thing. I ordered the chicken sandwich with potato wedges. Worst piece of chicken I’ve ever had in my life. Stringy and chewy. I’ve eaten in military chow halls that had better chicken, and it was boiled. Not sure what crowd this place is trying to appeal to, but it’s not for me.

Good Concept, Poor Execution

By 172pamelar |

I was excited to try this place during my layover. Sweet tea was excellent, server was polite even though he was busy and the crawl dad/corn fritters were tasty. Unfortunately, that was the end of anything good. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with the rosemary tater tots. The piece of chicken wasn't just fried. He had been on death row for about 40 years and then executed a FEW times. I couldn't even bite into it. It also came out with fries instead of the tots I had ordered. The server did ask if I wanted something else, but at that point I didn't. He did not charge me. All I wanted was a relaxing dinner after my flight. It would've been nice if the server, cook or SOMEONE would've noticed that the chicken was the color of meatloaf before they served it.

Awesome

I normally don’t care for fried chicken other than my own but I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken n waffels were perfect. My sweet potato waffels we fresh and sweet. Not to mention the bourbon syrup was yummy. The chicken was well done but juicy and had a great flavor. I travel frequently so I am always at this airport. This will now be the place I eat! My husband had the black bean hummus with a fried green tomatoe. That was yummy as well. Our server Tay was vibrant and pleasant!

Good food and drinks in Terminal D

Had the Chicken Sandwich and a great beer while waiting on a flight. Very clean place and the waiter was very nice and atentive to our time. One of my favorite places to grab food and drink in the Atlanta airport.

Great sit down restaraunt in Concourse D Atlanta airport

A great place to pass some time between flights… I had the Southern chicken dinner: crispy fried chicken, a honey biscuit (worth every calorie!!) sweet potatoes and collard greens…. All rate 5*!!!

Less than basic

By Akelia J |

Saw this place and decided I had to try it before leaving Georgia. I ordered the hot and spicy chicken sandwich with potatoes wedges ( I was given tater tots instead) but ok. Tater tots were basic. Taste just like the ones from the freezer isle in the grocery store. The chicken patty was so disappointing. The bun kept falling apart piece by piece. It could be because so much damn cold slaw was plastered onto the bottom bun. I eventually gave up and ate just the chicken and threw out the bun. The chicken which a dark piece of meat was used tasted of black pepper and buffalo sauce which I did not understand because the color of the chicken looked as if bbq sauce was on it. Bottom line I would never try chicken and beer again when coming to Georgia. It’s just another celebrity over hyped and over priced restaurant. No good flavor and taste profile just a name. I could have went to Popeyes where basic is expected at a cheaper price. If there is anything that should have be beyond expectations it would be the chicken it is called Chicken and Beer. The service was excellent I must say. The two men that helped me were very sweet and helpful. Even though the service is 5 start I can’t give 5 stars because it’s s restaurant based on food and the food was 0 stars.

My Go To Spot While Waiting For My Flight

By nic_leon2005 |

Chicken + Beer is a hidden gem at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. Tucked away in the corner of Concourse D, it is very easy to miss. If you have the time while waiting for your flight, go out of your way to visit this restaurant. The food is delicious! I had the C+B Fried Chicken Sandwich, Hotlanta style. The chicken was perfectly tender and juicy with a perfectly crispy breading dunked in a flavorful spicy buffalo sauce. The spicy mayo and crispy pickled slaw were a nice complimenting touch. The restaurant would be great just for the food alone but it also features a great tap list of local craft beers (and more than just the Sweetwater and Terrapin options you see at every bar in Georgia). Chicken + Beer is now my go to spot to eat and drink while waiting for my flight.

Without a doubt my favorite but....

Without a doubt my favorite place to eat in the ATL airport. Unfortunately they closed at 8:00 pm despite what the website had said. If the restaurant and the airport truly want people to return to flying please ensure the “good stuff” is open and welcoming Just disappointed that while the other restaurants were still open you where not

The only place worth eating in ATL

By Andy939064 |

Second time to eat here and I still loved it. Had the dark meat chicken and waffles and it was delicious. The dark meat was boneless and cooked to perfection with a not too thick crispy skin and tender and juicy on the inside. The waffle would rival your favorite breakfast place and was lightly dusted with pecans and a nice slab of honey butter. It’s a good thing I can only get this when I go through Atlanta because it’s addictive. Also, the wait staff was friendly and efficient. I went 3 terminals out of my way to eat here and I will do it again.

The perfect location for a quick bite before your flight!

By Atinna S |

I really like the set-up, decor and atmosphere here! I was also impressed by the variety of the items on the menu and reasonable prices (for an airport location). I also liked the fact that there were plenty of outlets to plug in your phone/laptop if you were low on batteries and needed to shoot out a few emails before your flight. I had the Chicken Patty Melt and Braised Green Beans, which was delicious. I'll definitely return and try another entree the next time I depart from Terminal D!

Exceeded expectations!

By TropicalThompsons |

Not your average airport food or service! Excellent on both counts. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles (OMG!), the kung pao chicken wings, and the cheesy grits. Service was friendly, fast, and had that southern hospitality vibe. Loved this place!

One of the best Southern restaurants in an Airport

By dorotxy |

Coming through the Atlanta airport this week I happened upon C&B....Chicken and Beer near gate 5 in terminal D. They have a great selection of locally sourced beer and a nice selection of southern fare. I ordered the chicken sandwich. Traditional. One could have gotten it in a hot version but I "chickened" out. The sandwich was served on a bun. Deep fried chicken thigh with cabbage salad and spicy sauce and chopped pickle. Lunch with beer and tip came to $25. I tipped a bit over 20% because the waitress was right on with her beer suggestion.

Amazing Chicken

By Alexander |

Had a layover in the Atlanta airport and stopped by here and WOW!!! The service was great and the chicken was even better. I had the gumbo for an appetizer and I can honestly say it was the best that I have EVER had! Had the chicken and waffles for my entree and that was great as well. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

Concourse D’s best

By jswea |

We ate here while waiting for a flight to Baltimore. Airport food is usually never the best but in this situation it is. I had the IPA burger which was very good. Wash that down with a Sweetwater 420 and you have an excellent meal. With tip it was $22.13. A little on the high side but the food was great.

Average airport restaurant

I came here for a quick bite before boarding the plane. I ordered the grilled catfish. It had a funny taste to it. The wedge potatoes were good, but the sandwich was just ok. It was also expensive. I do not recommend it.

Best fried chicken in atl airport period on my best of Atlanta fried chicken searched

By ave0329 |

In my review of 6 fried chicken spots in Atlanta I would rate them number 1 in Atlanta period. The only thing is they are at the airport concourse D gate 5. The chicken is simple wonderful. The service is outstanding and the sides are outstanding as well. The staff and manager Ramsey Kashlan and severs Dwayne and Dominic are on their game at must. I love this place I came back on my back home.
