Was rely bad service and they charged us for 40$ because they counted an infant as a table member and called us a party. There never served us plates and

In the three years we have lived in Atlanta - we thought we had a handle on where all of the "good" Mexican restaurants were - well - Saturday afternoon my wife and I were very hungry and we actually were lost in Buckhead and ran smack dab into this place trying to turn around trying to get back to Peachtree St - we sat outside in a rooftop atmosphere - and - when they brought out the chips & salsa - oh my ! - the salsa was the best salsa I've ever had...ever ! I ordered the chicken tacos and the chicken was tender and had a smoke flavor - out of this world great place !

Great service and delicious food choices. Margaritas really, really good! Within walking distance of Atlanta History Center before or after an event.

This was a recommendation from a friend and her review of the margaritas was spot on- clean tasting, strong and reasonably priced. For appetizers we had both guacamole and queso fundido. The guacamole was very tasty and the queso had good flavor but was difficult to scoop out with the chips. At the table many had the chicken tacos which were unremarkable to the point that my wife honestly told the waiter that she would not order again. I had the brisket tamales which were recommended by the waiter. While the brisket had decent flavor, it was dry and stringy. The tamale was dense and heavy. Disappointing at best. The service always attentive but strangely enough salsa was delivered well into the meal and our waiter stated that they ran out at one point. Pretty strange for a Mexican restaurant to run out of salsa. Atmosphere was lively and fun. May be best for a drink and appetizers.

You cannot go wrong with this neighborhood restaurant. Variety of options and not your typical Mexican fare. Great for late night drinks as well as it is within walking distance. Their is outdoor seating as well. Service mid-day can be a little slower, but that is to be expected.

Our first visit was on a beautiful Friday night where the weather was absolutely perfect to sit on one of the best decks in Atlanta. The service was perfect to match the incredible food full of incredible flavors. Their complimentary chips and salsa includes a thick smoky homemade salsa and order one of their homemade guacamole to go along with it. We had the Red Argentinian shrimp enchiladas that were covered in a red Chile cream sauce with a perfect amount of heat. On the opposite end of the flavor spectrum we had the mole chicken enchiladas covered in a deep rich mole sauce that was among the best I’d ever had. Their margaritas were nice and balanced perfectly. The large deck has booths, two large couch pit areas, some tables and a very large community table. With its large umbrellas, the deck is awesome for a sunny afternoon or a breezy starry night.

Had dinner with a few colleagues. The shrimp enchiladas are good. The salsa is very good. The drinks (margaritas & mojitos) are even better. Good, laidback atmosphere A great go-to place during the week.

We were referred - by two different people - and were quite pleased with our experience. Parking is plentiful and easy, which is a big deal in Buckhead, GA. The host was pleasant and greeted us with a smile and our service was great. My husband got the fish tacos with corn tortillas and loved them. Our 15 year old son got the brisket tamales, which satisfied his appetite, which is also a huge statement. I got the kale salad, no meat, and it was delicious. The chips with salsa are also great and much more like the chips you get in Mexico rather than the light and crispy chips we have in the states. I cannot skip over the guacamole. Ordinarily, I am a purest and only eat classic guacamole. However, my husband wanted to try the upgraded version, which included roasted corn and cojita cheese. We were not disappointed! OH! I had the house margaritas and they were delicious! It was a struggle to stop with two, because they were so lovely and refreshing that I drank them like water. Please try Chido & Padres.

I needed a quick bite. The outside of the restaurant is deceiving. Once in, the ambiance is cool. It was filled with after work folks on a Wednesday. Excellent spot to catch up with friends. I had the Pozole soup. It was very good. I gave it 4 stars only because I am a huge salsa bar fan, and they didn't have one. The service was excellent, and fast. I will.come back to try the tacos, which would be the true test for this spot.

Really like Chido & Padres It's one of our favorite places to drive to in for lunch on the weekend. The food is fantastic. The brisket tacos are a must as are the chips , salsa and guacamole. The margaritas are perfect . Heather the manager and all the staff are fantastic . Brian the chef has the gift ! Highly recommended

We were greeted by the AGM I believe. He was so nice and welcoming. He even took our drink orders and asked why we were in town. We got queso con chorizo which was real cheese and chorizo that wasn't the super greasy kind. The drinks were really good strong margaritas, I just wish they were a little bigger. Hubby got the pork belly tacos which were super yummy and spicy. I got the brisket tamales which just like another reviewer said were very dense and smoky. My husbands tacos were better. But the AGM helped us find another place to eat while in town and made the whole experience amazing. Promote this man! This is a beautiful place for a get together. Great photos with lots of color and fun music! I'd definitely go back!

We came in for the first time. Sunday Birthday brunch. Our reservation was for 11:00 and we arrived at 10:54. Was told to wait because our reservations were for 11, not 10:54. Understand that the restaurant was 15% occupied. We sat outside and noticed dried bird poop that was on the table and seats. After all that, I Gladys can say that the table service was excellent and our food was very good.

WOW - what a huge treat to dine at Chido & Padre. A yummy, innovative menu... Freshest ingredients . The service from the bar area to the dining is fantastic. The servers are well versed about the menu and can direct you whether it is figuring out the best drink or food selections for your taste. The patio too is great. Easy, free large parking lot makes it hassle free. A MUST go to in Buckhead!!

Had a great experience last month. Had a terrible experience Sunday night. Arrived for our 7:15 reservation and stood at the host/hostess table for 10 minutes until someone showed up. No sorry fir the wait or thanks for waiting, just asked if we wanted a booth or table. He left to go “set up” our table and was gone for another 5 minutes. There were maybe 6 occupied tables at the time in the entire restaurant. We were seated and waited another 20 minutes and nobody ever came to our table. At that point, we got up and left. Very disappointed. Won’t be back.

Chido and Padre is a great meeting place for friends and family. Parking is a bit of a challenge, and I decided to use the lot for the building next door, when all of the shops were closed. Not sure if this is OK, but it was the only option. GUACAMOLE DE LA CASA with lime, onion, and cilantro. The guacamole was chunky but a little bland. There was a smidgen of onions (which I prefer) but it would have benefited from a little more lime. I give it a 6. The tortilla chips were great. CHICKEN with smoked chicken tinga, guajilla salsa, onion, cilantro. The chicken taco was overflowing with filling. The flavors were very good and one of the better options. I give it a 7 CHIDO BAJA FISH includes battered fresh fish of the day, topped with veracruz aioli, red cabbage escabeche. The taco had great balance with the creaminess of the aioli and the pickled cabbage. I give this a 9. PORK BELLY offers arbol chili glaze, cilantro, onion, queso fresco. The single slice had great texture and flavor and the onion added pungency plus a kick of heat from the arbol chili glaze. I give this an 8 SMOKED BEEF BRISKET brings rajas, avocado crema, and topped with crispy onion straws Much too many things going on, I liked the texture of the brisket, but was overwhelmed with sweetness, and all of a sudden, a piece of bark. I give the brisket taco a 5. Service was excellent. Our server was pleasant friendly and checked in often. Overall, it is a good taco place in Buckhead. Is it in the caliber of some on Buford Highway? Not many are, but for a great place to meet and enjoy some pretty good food, C&P does the trick.

This high end Mexican fusion restaurant is excellent- it won’t appeal to the Tex mex, cheap margs, and bottomless chips crowd. It is SO MUCH BETTER. The flavors are outstanding and every dish served is a work of art, for the eyes and the palate. The cocktails are outstanding, it has a robust tequila menu, and the side dishes practically steal the show. In fact, I ordered three vegetable sides as my meal last time. For newcomers, I highly recommend the Queso fundido to start, along with their House Authority Margarita. Then try the Carnitas, which is an actual pork shoulder, braised to tender and fall apart goodness, resting in a bowl of tomatillo salsa- and then you spoon it into tortillas to make your own tacos. DO NOT MISS THIS EXCELLENT EATERY.

The place is nice, the employees were welcoming and our waiter was very nice and helpful but the food offer and quality were unfortunately very poor.

Chido & Padre’s On a recent visit to Chido & Padre’s with a friend for lunch we were really pleased with the food, service and pleasant environment. Initially it was the hospitality that impressed me. The hostess was welcoming and Rikki, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable about the Baja Mexicana menu. In fact the whole team that attended to us was hospitable. Although not an extensive menu I thought this was a plus – because I’d rather choose from a few special items than from a long list of typical Mexican combinations. The Queso appetizer was really good and even the chips and salsa were tastier than most. One item that was definitely not typical was the Tres Quesos Smoked Brisket Quesadilla. The three cheeses were a good blend and the brisket was cooked to perfect, not over-spiced so that the flavor was not overwhelmed by “heat” and was exceptionally tasty. The thin seared cheese crust of the tortilla gave the quesadilla a new taste dimension. Speaking of dimension – the large Frida Kahlo reproduction in the main room is a nice touch. For me a good Mexican lager or amber is always in my sweet-spot – but a Margarita is also the perfect compliment to Baja California flavors and Chido & Padre’s offered a range that I’ll have to go back and systematically try. My selection – the El Diablo, with tanteo habanero, fresh lime, cucumber-mint purée, agave nectar and tajin rim was a refreshing drink with a tangy rim. There’s a casual yet subtle upscale quality to C&P’s and with a nice space, sidewalk deck, ample parking, growing high density infill condo development across the street and with toney West Paces/Buckhead neighborhoods around the corner this place should do well. It’s only been open for 3 weeks and still a well-kept secret … for now. Robin Review

Just 2 blocks from The Atlanta History Center. We popped in for lunch on Sunday and had a fantastic meal. We both had items from their brunch menu which were fresh, crisp and delicious. A great surprise! Theo tortilla chips and salsa were homemade and fresh.

My wife and I came to the restaurant after 8PM on a Thursday night. We were greeted by two friendly servers. We ordered cocktails and freshly made ; both very good. We then ordered entrees. I noticed that the restaurant was not busy at that hour. It took at least 20 minutes until we were served the entrees. While waiting, I saw one of the servers busy cleaning tables. I believe she forgot about us. My “gourmet “ chicken enchiladas came out cold and were tasteless lumps of chicken wrapped in a cold tortilla covered in red sauce. My wife ordered “beef cheeks” that were barely warm and were forgettable. This experience is typical of Georgia cuisine. I would never come back.

Chido & Padre's is an amazing restaurant tucked slghtly off the beaten path on East Andrews Drive in Buckhead with great food and margaritas plus fast and friendly service. There is always a warm welcome from wait staff and management on every visit. A totally awesome place! Overall Chido & Padre's never fails to disappoint.

You cannot beat the $5 margs and wings at their happy hour. Everyday from 3-7pm. The patio is also awesome in the Fall. They get packed for happy hour Thursday-Saturday’s so plan accordingly. Make sure to get the chili tinga salt rim on your margarita! Sooo good! Keep up the good work team!

What a great place1 Atmosphere clean, warm, inviting. Wait staff cordial informative helpful. GREAT food, and they respected our time constraints as we had tickets to an event nearby. Definitely will go there again.

On our way to a restaurant we thought was opened, but was not opened, we passed Chido & Padre’s and deceided to try the restaurant knowing nothing about it. We had a friendly greeting and found the service to be very good. The Tacos were high end and very good even though the protion size of the 2 tacos was small for the price. We started with the white queso and chips which were very good.

Great food, cool ambience, attentive servers. This is a great spot to grab a drink , app or dinner. There is something for everyone.

Such a fun Taco Tuesday place in Buckhead!! Great outdoor seating, with super cute decor. DJ and free tequila tastings on Tuesday which was a win as well. The drinks were superb, we tried 6 of them and all were absolutely delicious! The tacos of course were the star of the show, super yum. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

This place is new, and replaced Smokebelly BBQ. The service and food here are mediocre at best, nothing special. I've ate here twice now, and had problems both times. My friends have had nothing but problems, too. This past time, we called over a week in advance to reserve an outside table. When we arrived, they didn't have our table. I miss the Smokebelly food and atmosphere!

Cool and fun atmosphere—definitely a younger crowd. Good for birthdays and large parties. Was not a fan of the Mango Rico margarita. The chips were very salty, but the guacamole was good. The skirt steak dish was good. The brisket tamale had decent flavor. Food was decent, but a little overpriced.

Great place to celebrate birthdays! Good margs, tacos, and quac! Desserts are not great. But you come here for the margaritas and sitting on the deck!

Had a good dinner here. Started with the hibiscus margarita & The Blush for drinks. For food, we started with the guac & chips and salsa for appetizers. Both were good, but that tomatillo& roja salsa is excellent! For entrees, I had the lamb birria tacos, which were really good and tender. My wife had the wagyu steak tacos, which she also really enjoyed & said were incredibly tender. I tried them a bit, and they were flavored very well. Service was really nice & prompt, but we did come in the last hour of the place being open. Coming back to try that branzino on the menu! The menu is a bit short, but everything is executed well and with quality, which was more important to me. Fair prices also. Free parking in the lot right outside the restaurant.

We showed up without reservations and took a chance on a Friday night. They said we could wait for a bar area table. After 30 minutes the hostess came over and said she had prepared a table for us. Another hostess came by several times to chat and give us suggestions on the menu. There was just a real genuine caring attitude from the staff. We had the beef quesadilla and smoked chicken tacos. It's not authentic Mexican but really good food. The desert was a type of Mexican donut that was delicious. Great decor as well.

Surprisingly excellent and refreshingly different. We were very happy with everything we ordered. ALL four of us ranted and raved about the food we ordered and even shared bites around the table. Our service was fantastic and our server CAMRON S. Even did some magic card tricks for us. The manager BRANDON was friendly and checked on us twice. Restaurant was clean and well decorated. We will definitely be back.

The odd service started before even sitting down. The hostess walked away not telling us to follow or wait. We did know if she was taking us to a table or looking for one, so we followed her around the restaurant to finally sit near the front of the restaurant? The waitress came after a few minutes, we ordered Steak and Chicken Fajitas, Ceviche and a beer. She brought us chips and salsa. Good so far, but then we did not see her again for about 15 minutes. We had a flag down another server for silverware and napkins who brought us plastic ware for to go orders which we rejected. The Fajitas (from a runner, no waitress) arrived which looked good, but no way to eat them: No tortillas, no rice and beans, no fajita side dish? Then another waitress (ours is stilll MIA) brought us a plate with knife, fork and small napkins?. Other tables had setups (cloth napkin with knife and fork). They then brought us those white tri-fold napkins from a bathroom dispenser (see photo)? And our Ceviche (the starter) and beer still had not arrived. The waitress finally showed up. We ask for all the missing items: Ceviche, Cloth napkin, beer, rice and beans, tortillas, more salsa, fajitas sides which began arriving. The Ceviche was less than average although the ingredients looked fresh, just not good flavor. The Fajitas were very good, but had become cold. The atmosphere was lively, so I can see why people may like this restaurant, but this was the worst service that I have had in over a decade. I do not know a strong reason to return.

I honestly thought my “steak fajita” was a practical joke until I saw the other $26 “steak fajitas” served at our table. It was a pepper and onion sizzling plate with 3 to 4 small (bite size bits) of steak (view photos). It was dishonest at best, unless it was a vegetarian dish. I don’t know if that was as bad as the service we got sitting in the bar. Our water glasses were empty from the time the food was served until literally 40 minutes after we were done eating. Never saw our waitress until I stopped her and asked for more water. None of our plates were cleared until a few of them at the very end (View photos). We had to go up and find someone to request our check to pay. Outrageous. If they were busy I could understand- restaurant was 80% empty. Was never offered dessert (this was a birthday dinner for 5). 🙄🤦🏻♂️ Note to management- consider a new line of work.
Loud
Chido & padre’s on a Friday night at 9 was loud and happening. The food came out quickly. the complimentary salsa is delicious. I enjoyed my shrimp kabobs. I returned the queso fundido because it was not ‘fundido’ /melted. The Caesar salad was fantastic. The wine pours are tiny.
