We visited this restaurant as a search of Chinese food restaurants near us now. Glad this place was first on the list because we were not at all disappointed! The service was excellent, the food was delicious & the portions were way more than enough for two meals! Our waitress was very nice and brought our food out quickly after we ordered. I cannot express how pleased we are with this new find! We will definitely be back and would most certainly recommend this establishment to friends and family.

So we were looking for a quick meal and my Son suggested Chinese. Unfortunately we are not fans of the Chinese restaurants we’ve tried so far that are near to us. But one place we hadn’t tried yet was China Stix. It was about 30 minutes before they were closing for the evening when we walked in to order our take out. The girl at the register was super nice, first impressions are very important. She took our order and in less than 15 minutes from the time we walked in we were walking out with our order (Lemon Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Beef & Broccoli). In short, everyone enjoyed their meal. So the next time I’m in the mood for a quick Chinese food meal, China Stix will be a first option....

Great service, quick and hot food. They are closed on Tuesday which is kind of strange but open the other six days. Entrée can be split so if you order take out, just order one entrée for every two people and then add servings of rice and sauce.

My husband was craving Chinese food, and we decided to try China Stix, since it was only a mile from our home. It's a small restaurant at the end of a little strip of shops. When we walked inside, there was only one table filled, and I thought that was a little strange, since it was a Friday night. We got seated right away, and were given our drinks promptly. We couldn't decide on meal, so we ordered a TON of appetizers: The appetizer sampler, an order of steak kabobs (which I was happy to realize were what normally is called teriyaki steak on a stick where I'm from), fried dumplings, cheese rangoons, an order of chicken fried rice, and beef lo mein. My husband is extremely picky and HATES vegetables. We ordered everything without vegetables. We ate a little bit of everything, and it all tasted great! The dumplings were cooked perfectly, the rangoons were quite tasty, the kabobs were cooked just the way they should be cooked: charred on the edges and cooked through, with teriyaki sauce on them, and the lo mein and rice were both tasty as well, and loaded with meat! The waitress was attentive without hovering. By the time all of our food had come out, the restaurant was full of people. We had enough leftovers for 2-3 more meals, and the bill only came out to $40! On the way out I grabbed a menu. They also offer take out and delivery! We may be ordering in next time :)

This place is one of my favorites! I try to get there at least once or twice a month. The food is super! The portions are huge! Highly recommended if you're in the mood for some great Asian food!

Food was hot, fresh and delicious! I loved the egg drop soup, and enjoyed the sweet & sour chicken - loved that there was no shortage of sauce served with my chicken! The menu overall was very inexpensive, especially the lunch specials. Also had a good variety of options. I went just past 11am when they open, staff was friendly and fast. I got my food without hardly a wait at all and there was 3 other tables be served. I would recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone in the neighborhood looking for such. On the inside, it's like a small cafe - don't be off put just because it's at the end of a strip mall. Enjoy!

I would definitely go there again! The staff was kind and the food was delicious! We arrived with 9 of us in tow and they were able to help all of us and make recommendations to suit special dietary needs.

We always love going to China Stix. It's our favorite local Chinese Restaurant. My wife loves the War Mein soup. And we all have our favorite dishes. Servers are always friendly and attentive.

I've eaten here for years so finally decided to leave a review. I have never had to wait for a table at this place, which is great! The service is great, the food delicious, portions generous, everything is reasonably priced and the staff is attentive. It's a small little place in a strip center so this is not where you go for atmosphere but it's clean and you won't be disappointed.

Great for take out or dining in. This is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Relatively healthy Chinese food and tasty. Would be nice if they served a brown rice option.

We order our Chinese food from China Stix, we love their won ton soup and their General Tso's Chicken. Very clean inside, food is cooked very fast, not a lot of wait time.

This establishment has the best Chinese food in the stone oak/TPC area. They make deliveries and are always prompt. It is inexpensive and their lemon chicken and sesame chicken are delicious! Beef and veggies with bean sauce is good too!

Entree were excellent, not the Egg Roll, Spring Chicken Rolls and the Cream cheese Wontons were terrible, over cooked, smelled of grease, First time ever. Order #69 on Sunday, 03/02/2025.

Good service , got our food quickly and it was delicious. Price was fair. Portions were generous. Win-win

Wonderful staff, great food and presented well. Honestly, my only complaint is the water and ice - they need a good filter.

CLOSED TUESDAY! Drove across town to eat at China Stix. It was Tuesday. Got there and a sheet of paper on the inside of the tinted glass door says : "We are now closed on Tuesdays". I cannot comment on the food or service. I rated them with 3 dots to try and be neutral.

Definitely our go to Chinese restaurant in the area. Never had anything we did not like. Our favorite local for take out. l

We are new to San Antonio and found this place tucked away in a strip mall. The food is so good! The portions are large enough to share or to have leftovers for the next day. The staff is always pleasant. Eat in, delivery or take out, this is definitely our new go-to for Chinese food.

We go to China Stix often. The service is good, the portions are generous and the food is tasty. The chicken with snow peas is good and so is the chicken with broccoli. I recommend this Chinese food. Very good.

Great food and service! Went in and ordered three meals. Took only 15 minutes. Good was fresh and tasted great. The service was also great. Will definitely be going back!

We had avoided China Stix because we couldn't see inside. The windows are blacked out and we were a little afraid. We asked around at the local businesses and they told us it was very good and we should try it out. Dishes were very great and tasty. Very large portions. Delicious flavors. We will be back!

I love this place. Nothing fancy, but the wait staff couldn't be better and the food is wonderful. I drive a long way out of the way when I am in SA to go there. The mushu pork is to die for. The egg rolls crisp and hot, the dumplings perfect. And the prices cannot be beat.

Took grandchildren out for lunch. Female waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. Remembered grandson from previous visits and was extremely sweet to him. Service was prompt and food was good. Large portions! Only criticism would be the lack of spice was told very spice but was not spicy at all. Great lunch place.

This is my go to restaurant for delicious Chinese restaurant. Great service, and the kitchen is quick too. They also have a carryout menu as well. Love it!

This is my most favorite Asian restaurant. I usually get the General Tso Chicken. The portions are huge and tasty. The veggies and rice are perfect. I like to start with a cup of Hot & Sour Soup. Simply wonderful stuff...!

We have eaten at China Stix several times, both in restaurant and take out dining. Last evening we had absolutely the worst experience. The quality of the food was terrible. The sweet and sour chicken was dry and lacked anything other than over cooked and dry chicken. Awful! And the teriyaki chicken, a "specialty dish", was chicken with barbeque sauce. Again terrible. The meals were in a bag that was tied when I picked them up. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I sent a message to the restaurant expressing our displeasure but have not received a response.

My wife and I order takeout from here frequently. It is our "go to" option if we are tired and don't feel like cooking. The portions are generous enough that we can order one meal and split it for a quick, filling, and good tasting dinner. Staff is friendly and the place is efficiently run.

Everyone in my family loves the food. We order from there regularly. The Hot and sour soup is some of the best I've had. Can't go wrong with the sesame chicken or lo mein either

Stopped by for takeout and loved the staff. We swapped stories and the food was ready to go before I realized it. Definitely worth another trip

Restaurant is not good. The potstickers are made in house, but way too much dough. The seafood delight dish was overcooked and very rubbery, the Kung Pao chicken was just ok. They give you plenty of food, but that doesn't say much if it's not good. Recommended a pass. There are other Chinese restaurants in the area for less dough.

Never disappointed - always good food. Reasonably priced. One dinner is enough for two to share. We have never had anything we did not enjoy.

We just got back from lunch here and the food was excellent and the staff attentive. The lunch prices included ALOT of food and was reasonable. We will go back.

Lunch specials are excellent - good value and lots of food. The Mongolian Beef is a great choice. Easy to find a seat, good service.

This neighborhood Chinese restaurant is convenient to us having a house nearby and they are open later for those late night cravings. They are closed on thanksgiving and Christmas which is unusual. My husband usually get the orange chicken and I get egg foo young. They do a great job with delicious dishes and great customer service.

Nearby and open late, this restaurant is always available for a late night dinner. They have short wait time and great customer service experience. I had the shrimp noodles, my son had orange chicken and my husband General tsu chicken. We have never been disappointed.
