this place simply delivers every time. the service is personal and conducted by the owner. food always cooked to perfection. sincerely recommend for anyone in the area for top chinese.

Better than average for Asian food. We often have take out from Cin Cin. They have my order ready in 20 minutes. The few times that I have eaten at the restaurant the noise level was very high. It is crowded almost every night.

I can only judge from an afternoon quick bite, but I liked the tasteful setting, with table cloths and attentive service, well above the usual Chinese food standards. The food was pleasant and decently priced.

I've eaten in many Asian restaurants and this is, by far, the best I've ever had. Their General Tso's chicken is perfect and they have the best egg rolls! A must if you're visiting Chestnut Hill.

I have been to Cin Cin a couple of times and am never disappointed. The service is good. The food is tasty. You can find on street parking close to the restaurant. The last time I went was mid-week with no reservation. We were able to be seated immediately. Actually I'd rate it as "good" because it deserves a rating that is better than "average."

The decor is not Chinese and that is a plus, the seats are comfortable this restaurant is an absolute gem The crab shumai are delicious , the crab cakes are exceptional more French than Asian, a true original. I recommend because it is more refined than any Chinese place I know The prices are reasonable and service is very friendly

Superb and delicate dishes, and a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere keep this place busy and top-rated in Chestnut Hill. Make reservations, and say hi to Henry the proprietor!

We have eaten at CinCin in Chestnut Hill many times because it is our mother's favorite restaurant. Each time we try something different, and are never disappointed. The staff are especially nice and remember us each time we visit, bringing our mother her favorite drink without being asked. Very good food at a good price. An all-time favorite which we try to visit every time we are in Chestnut Hill.

CinCin is a lovely restaurant serving Mandarin French Fusion. It is located on the main street in Chestnut Hill, PA. Unlike most Chinese restaurants, it has a cozy warm interior. It looks like it will be much more expensive that it actually is. Our food was delicious...we had a wild mushroom and goat cheese strudel appetizer that was excellent. Our entrees were also delicious with the correct amount of spice. We finished off with Cappuccino and Mud Pie. The bill was more than reasonable and the service quick and attentive. We would definitely go again!

very good, crab cakes are delicious.

This is Exceptional Chinese cuisine in a charming restaurant in the heart of Chestnut Hill. The staff is attentive and very knowledgeable. They are generous with their portions, including the wine 🍷!

This place never lets you down. Everything is delicious. Quick and good service. I almost always get the Mongolian lamb with eggplant; it's that good. I tried the fried bananas for dessert. Excellent choice.

I've been here 2 times- once with my husband on a date and once with my in-laws, and I've yet to be disappointed with anything we've ordered. The food is excellent, as is the service, though it is a little pricey for the portion sizes. I love the coconut curried vegetables, and their specials are usually quite good as well. Would recommend for couples and adult groups (kids might not appreciate the french style combined with the chinese ingredients enough to make it worth the price of a meal for them). Great place.

3 friends had dinner here recently and we all were delighted with our meals. Attraction dining room, excellent waitstaff

Love the food and visit often. Love the Sake Wild Pepper Chicken! Great atmosphere and staff. Been a customer since the late 90's. Definitely worth the trip.

We visit Philadelphia several times a year and always work in one visit to CinCin. Service is excellent and food is very good. We normally share two appetizers and an order of their Moo-Shu Chicken with a couple extra pancakes. Always good

Cin Cin is fine Asian food served with a French Flair. Consistently good and well attended. Reservations are recommended if your party is more than 2. I've been here many times with friends, family and for Business Dinner Meetings. I also had my Mother's 80th Birthday Dinner in the Private back room.....Fantastic! Service always good and each dish a work of art with delicious flavors to entice your palate. Henry, Manager is usually available to make sure all is running smoothly. Parking is limited, but plenty parking nearby on the street. There is NO OUTDOOR SEATING. The bar is a small intimate area. I'm not a drinker so it doesn't matter to me .... I come for the food and never feel rushed.

Lunch is a better value, other than that I can not say enough great things about CinCin. I worked nearby for over a decade, and out of all the nearby restaurants in this area of Philly, this is the best. Family owned, the Staff are impeccable, the food is great. Try one of there seasonal plates. Great for gatherings, they have always treated me like family. I never appreciated it more, now that I am far away. If your ever in Chestnut Hill, eat the crab cake lunch with a side of the best hot and sour soup I have ever found for me!

Just arrived in the area and looking for a great lunch spot. We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and wow was it just what we needed. Great menu options with great pricepoints. I like spicy and the Sake Chicken was fabulous...taste still dancing on my tounge. Enjoy!

We hadn’t been to CinCin in a long awhile but we went on Christmas Day. It was incredibly busy — not an empty seat — yet the hostesses were so lovely and accommodating to try and seat us earlier than our reservation timed, and they did by 20 minutes. Again despite how busy it was the table service was courteous and prompt and food was well prepared and timely delivered. It was delicious and we all looked at one another and said “why don’t we come here more often?” Thank you for helping to make our Christmas dinner special. (Their parking lot is very small but you can find street parking.)

I've been to CinCin twice in the last two months. If you're in to Asian cuisine, this is the place to go. The is excellent , the best I've had. Highly recommend this restaurant. Cheers!

I have had a handful of experiences at CinCin since I have family close by and found their food good and reasonable in a nice setting. Three times we have made a reservation over the past few years and ALL of those times it has NOT been honored. I made yesterday's reservation a week ago for a corner booth or table at 1:30, explaining the need for some protection from other diners perfumes that negatively affects the pleasure of my meal and the remainder of the day. Upon arrival I found them seating a man at the booth explicitly requested, I was astonished and pressed the need for a corner table but the female at the desk (owner's wife?) got an irritated and implacable attitude. The same was mostly true with her husband who finally seated us in the back room but the mood was clearly ruined so I will never return to this restaurant again. There are many good restaurants in Chestnut Hill that do a great job of quality food and good hospitality and they will get our business in the future.

Lunch at CinCin turned out to be a delightful experience. The chicken dishes, the lamb and the shrimp were all very tasty and the service was friendly and excellent. They have a small wine list with some moderately priced wines on it (but we did not partake). CinCin is reasonably priced and worth a visit. I look forward to a return trip this restaurant when I'm back in Philadelphia.

Have been there 3 times and found the food to be ho-hum at best, and very disappointing another time. Yet it's always crowded and I don't understand why. I have my other favorite Asian (Thai, Chinese) places on the Hill and nearby, and this one ain't it! Also the food is overpriced relative to other places.

High quality of food and reasonable prices (about $13 per entree). Two of our dishes fell short, though. The Basil Chicken (a special) had little of the Thai flavor featured in the menu, and the Angel Hair Shrimp could have used more ginger, garlic and sesame in its sauce. The Four Flavor Beef and Sub Gum Lo Mein (pork, chicken and veggies) were winners. We recommend one entree per really hungry adult. Service was excellent.

We had reservations tonight at 730, the place was mobbed. After waiting over 30 minutes we started to realize that the owner was taking people he knew before those of us who were waiting our turn. When I asked the host he basically confirmed our suspicions but couldn't do anything about it. To his credit he came by a few minutes later and offered us a drink. Once we were seated the meal and service were excellent.

Got to revisit this great restaurant after many years. We ate here over 20 years ago before me bing away. It’s still wonderful. Good food and service.

It is a Jewish tradition to go to a movie and chinese for dinner on Christmas eve. We were very excited about our dinner at CinCin and happy to get a 6:30 reservation for our group of 7. Unfortunately, this well reviewed restaurant does not know how to properly plan their reservations for a busy evening. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and the restaurant was in total bedlam. At 6:50 there were still 4 groups of six or more ahead of us that all had reservations as well. Our group included 3 grandparents who could not sit around till who knows when. When I asked why I was given a 6:30 reservation when it was obvious that they could not even come close to honoring it, all I received was under his breath mumbles. We left and had dinner somewhere else. Friends of ours who also showed up for a 6:30 reservation (group of 4) texted us when they were seated at 7:48. Truly a disgrace.

The food was excellent. Appetizers very good (spare ribs and lamb). We opted for an early dinner (5:00 PM) since we had children in the party. Still, it was quite busy and our table felt cramped. There was another party directly next to us with very little room to move between tables!

This food is probably unlike what you are expecting. My favorite is the Saki wild peppered chicken, but my friend swears by the duck. I have never heard anyone say a bad thing about any of the food.

Group of eight went Saturday night. Service was good, but a bit rushed. Didn't feel the restaurant was overly noisy like the other reviewers. The restaurant is very pretty, with large windows. The menu is an average neighborhood Chinese food menu, with a few upscale items added, and higher prices then your neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Food was good, but not special enough to travel to Chestnut Hill for.

Decor and presentation is first class from the welcome to the table setting. Summer time specials included striped bass and soft shell crabs which were attractively presented and perfectly prepared.

This restaurant has a very pleasant ambiance and the service is great. I had read many glowing reviews of the food but it just wasn't the case when we went. My hot and sour soup was thick with corn starch but sorely lacking in flavor. Same with the more exotic dishes we ordered, like Mongolian Duck. The item we enjoyed the most was the homemade creme brulee which did not disappoint. If you want a pleasant meal it's fine, but if you crave authentic Chinese food that is prepared with lots of flavor and panache it doesn't seem to be here. Cin Cin may be catering to their customers' palates, who seem to love it. Superb and friendly waiter.

CinCin is one of the high-end, white tablecloth restaurants in Philadelphia's tony Chestnut Hill. Asian and fusion menu, it is very popular and may have a line. We judge Asian places by the quality of the dumplings: they are superb here - as are all good items. Service is excellent. They are also popular fir their take-out service.

CinCin is an outstanding Asian-Fusion restaurant - we use both eat-in and take-outs. Always excellent food. We judge Asian restaurants by quality of dumplings - these are superb!

I went for a small team lunch for work and I had the Pad Thai with Shrimp, Pork Dumplings and Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. The service was great, the restaurant looked clean and the food was delicious. I’m not very local so I have been trying to find restaurants near me that are equally as delicious but have been unsuccessful. Just this week I went searching for cheesesteak egg rolls and pad thai and I’m so disappointed that I just want CinCin even more. I will be going back soon and I can’t wait to take my partner to experience the food.

Never disappointed in the quality of food. Often get delivery although this is a high end establishment for dining in.

This is my favorite restaurant in Chestnut Hill. Greeted by Henry with that familiar smile was the first sign the night would be good. The menu offers so many really enticing choices that it can be difficult to decide what to order sometimes. However, the hot and sour soup made its way to three of us. Then there were four different dinners which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. I had the special striped bass which was wonderful. Dessert was a potpourri of an excellent cheese cake, whipped cheese pudding and strawberries- devoured quickly. The Tennessee mudslide augmented the above for one of us who needed more. Service was excellent- friendly and efficient. Consistently good at very reasonable prices.

I've traveled extensively to China. I don't go to "Chinese" restaurants in the US because they are too awful to even describe. CinCin was highly recommended by a local at a conference I was attending. I had the whole steamed fish. It was perfect. And the dumplings and soft steam stuffed rolls: great appetizers to start with.

I've been here twice. It's a tad expensive to frequent, but both times was very enjoyable. Service was great, atmosphere is nice too. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Their orange beef is very good, so is the won ton soup. There are more adventurous items on the menu for those with eclectic palates that are more in line with their "Chinese-French fusion". What I had was standard Chinese done well (Americanized?). Great for a date, special occasion or friends night out. I've also had take out from their tent several times at the Fall for the arts/Garden festivals in Chestnut Hill and they always had good food and the best value on the strip. The smells will lure you in.

This is a nice local spot, asian fusion. nice bar and wine list. Food is so so. Good but not great. Service was good but a bit overboard. Dining room noise was on the loud side, would not recommend for romantic date.

Great restaurant however, reservations are poorly managed and no control of organization. Hence, if the place gets busy, be prepared to have food cold or not prepared well. Its a great if you are lucky to have your request filled with some attention. The food is generally good and depending on server , service is anywhere from excellent to downright pathetic.

The only negative about this restaurant is the parking. The lot has enough room for about 4 cars. Other than that, the food is wonderful. The wonton soup, the dumplings, the seafood in the basket - fabulous!! We are actually going back again this coming Saturday. Also, we requested the waitress Ping, who was very good.

First time to Chestnut Hill area since childhood. Sweet town and loaded with resturants. Had lunch so it wasn't a dinning experience. Pad-Thai was a bit oily. Have had much better. Will try again.

My wife lived in Mt. Airy for years and was a frequent customer of CinCin. Being newly married she moved over to Jersey to my home, but constantly talked about this restaurant. I decided to surprise her one Saturday evening and take her back to this restaurant that she talks about non-stop! Now, I am a believer! This has got to be some of the best Chinese / Asian style food I have had! The Egg Drop Soup was wonderful. Well seasoned and not too thick. The General Tso's Chicken was spicy, tangy and amazing. The fried rice was some of the best I've had. It was everything I was told it was a possibly a little more. Interestingly, I did not want to like it when I arrived. I was all ready to say the food was not that good and that it was better in Jersey. If for no other reason that because I was sick of hearing how great the food was. But, she won me over and now I, too, agree with her. Unfortunately, I am a creature of habit, so when I took her back two short weeks later, I got the same thing again! And again, it was wonderful! I definitely recommend them. Great ambiance. The parking is not ideal, but if you can figure that out, it is worth it!

OK, good news first? Some of the best mu shu chicken I have ever had. My wife and I split it, and I could have eaten the whole thing because it was so good. The fortune cookies were dipped in chocolate, so I guess that's the French flare? The wait staff was friendly, courteous, and spot-on; my water glass never fell below half-full. Not-so-good news? Appetizer servings are small; got the egg rolls and they were surprisingly small. And, the price: on the high-side for the quality of food and atmosphere. Overall, would go back when in Philly and have a craving for mu shu! And the staff made the visit very enjoyable.

Let me start by saying that I don't care for Chinese food, overall it's just not my favorite cuisine. Recently my boyfriend took me to CinCin against all my objections and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. In one week I asked him to take me 3 times. Each time was a different experience but each experience was great. Twice we had takeout which was delicious, the portions were great, their use of seasoning was perfect, and the customer service was wonderful. These experiences prompted me to go back on my birthday for a sit-in lunch date with my boyfriend and father. Just when I thought they could not top the takeout food and service they did that and more. The staff was more than attentive, never allowing our water glasses to go below the halfway mark, prompt fulfilling our request, explaining each dipping sauce etc... I absolutely love this restaurant and I am sure anyone who visits CinCin will have the same feeling! I encourage anyone even if you don't like Chinese to try CinCin so they can change your opinion.

I frequently go to Cin Cin, partly because I'm close and because for a little more money than other Chinese I can get a more upscale dining experience. Their seasonal specialties are always good and their Chinese New Year's Banquet is terriffic.

Nice decor and very pleasant and efficient service. This restaurant has a bar and a decent wine list. The menu options include standard Chinese food, but also food with a difference. The wild mushroom and goat cheese appetizer was outstanding, as was the Peking duck. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

My cousin brought me here about 8 years ago. I remember it well (such a cute place) so I took my 86 yr old Grandmother today for lunch. We had a great time. She enjoyed her food. I had the hot & sour soup, she had the wonton, both delicious. We ordered the crab & shrimp fried rice, yummy! Restaurant was not overly crowded, service was very good. They're very polite. They have a bar so there is a wine list. Food was very fresh. Can't wait to go back.

Three of visited Chi Chi and were looking for authentic Chinese fare. The service and ambiance were fine, but the food was a disappointment! in addition the prices were not reasonable as we had three main dishes and waters and the bill came to 65.00 USD. the food was bland, the Peking Duck was served in large pieces, which I have never seen served that way in any Chinese restaurant anywhere in the world! Not much taste either and was dry which was a big disappointment! We also tried a chicken and Shrimp dish which were bland and boring. Sorry to not be able to give a better review, and maybe they just had a bad day........

I was looking for roast crispy duck. I didn't want to go to Chinatown because its gotten rundown, yucky traffic, expensive parking and horrible SEPTA. I decided to stay in my neighborhood so I could walk. I worried about it being expensive. Chestnut Hill is high end and the restaurant looked pricey. What a WONDERFUL SURPRISE! I was a solo table but still treated like a queen with lots of servers checking in, giving water and smiling. The roast duck in black bean sauce on the cast iron plate was SCRUMPTIOUS. It comes with a healthy side of white rice and delicate, flavorful bok choi. The skin was crispy yet NOT oily or greasy. The CHUNKS of tender duck meat were excellent. The sauce was thick, savory and yummy. FOODGASM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The portion was so healthy that I was able to take a container home for lunch the next day. Then I ordered the Mudslide ice cream pie for dessert. PERFECTION. Dense, creamy, sweet but not cloying with nut accents, fresh strawberries and cream as garnish. Cool treat on a humid Summer night. When the bill came, I was shocked that it was less than $40. I did not order a cocktail because I wanted to concentrate on the food. I gave them a big tip and said I am absolutely returning. I am also addicted to their spring rolls too. Two perfect crunchy flaky rolls filled with a balanced combination of shrimp, cheese, and cabbage that you can dip in duck sauce or mustard or just enjoy plain.

We went to celebrate a going away. We could not hear each other speaking, which was very difficult for someone hard of hearing. The lamb was very salty! Other heart healthy dishes in the menu were lower in salt, ordered by some guests.

I live in the neighborhood and Cin Cinn has the best value for the mony. Great food, creative menu, attentive service, and resonable prices. The best!

For years I have been hearing that CinCin is the best Chinese Restaurant in Philadelphia, and possibly the East Coast. I finally had dinner there, and was somewhat disappointed. To be fair I had very high expectations. I ordered the sesame chicken which I was expecting to be full of flavor and spice. It came out very bland and had very little spice. I have definitely had worse, but have also had better. Another member of my group had the General Tsos chicken this also came out somewhat bland. My party came at an odd time, and the restaurant was completely empty. The hostess sat us in a corner booth towards the back of the restaurant. We asked if we could switch to table instead of a booth which appeared to irritate the hostess. We were then moved to another corner table in a backroom. When we arrived at the restaurant there were no customers in there and when we left a group was just walking in. I don't understand why we had to sit in the corner. Anyway, the food was fine, and I would go back if somebody said they wanted to go there. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

I know, I've said it in earlier reviews that their dumplings as the best we've ever eaten and they continue to be great! When we visit our son and we are getting take-out, CC is at the top of the list and the dumplings are always ordered, one order per person because, I don't want to share my dumplings with anyone!! Of course we order other items but it's to support the dumplings. NOW GO GET SUM!!

Cin Cin is a gem of a restaurant in the Chestnut Hill area of Philadelphia. I have eaten there several times over the years and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend the Peking duck. Although, you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose.

Extremely disappointed. Went last night with friends and ordered, among other dishes, spring roll, dan dan noodles, orange beef, brandy-infused szechuan beef and General Tso's chicken. Spring roll was boring. Dan dan noodles were huge disappointment, after having had same dish many times at Han Dynasty (where it was delicious); Cin Cin's version was absolutely bland, with absolutely no heat detectable. Brandy infused beef was decent, but not especially spicy. Other main dishes were completely bland, without any spiciness -- which was especially surprising because not only did the menu note that they were supposedly spicy, but also the waiter mentioned that when he took our orders. If you want to taste an excellent version of orange beef, you need only go about two blocks away on Germantown Avenue and order them at Yu Hsiang. To give credit where credit is due: service was very attentive and cannot be faulted.

Excellent food and service. Make sure you have reservations, and don’t plan on quiet conversation. This place is very loud and busy, but the meal was so exquisite, we barely noticed.

I reluctantly returned to this place on a Saturday night because friends wanted to meet there and while the food was delicious, there were two things that occurred that would make me think twice about a return visit. The first was that we were all interested in the "chef's surprise". When we asked the waiter, he said "don't get it--I wouldn't eat it myself." One of our friends said this was the strangest thing he ever heard a waiter say. We had a discussion and decided not to get it. After we ordered we all reported our dishes were delicious. That being so, how could the chef's surprise be bad? It would have been a much better bargain in the long run since we paid as much for an appetizer and main dish and the chef's surprise included soup, appetizer, main and dessert. Was that the reason he discouraged it? That's my assessment. In the middle of the meal a group of a dozen young people were seated at the table behind us (we were a group of 6). The decibel level of the room rose to an unbearable level within seconds and we were driven out because we couldn't stand it. In my opinion a restaurant should not accept reservations for large parties unless they can seat them in separate areas of the restaurant. This is only greed.

Not ordinary Chinese food. Delicious food, great service. Asian with a French flair. Reasonable prices.

We came early, taken there by a dear friend and long time Philadelphia resident, as one of her favorites. We weren't disappointed. The service was attentive. The food was well prepared and in the new cuisine manner, in large dishes. The only problem was that one of us ordered brown rice, which wasn't available with the rest of our meal because the food is fresh and made from scratch. It was ready shortly thereafter, and taken home instead. Two of us had the crab cakes, prepared tastefully in an oriental style. My wife had the mango shrimp, prepared with large succulent pieces. Our dessert was a delicious, shared mud pie. Down-sides are parking and the high prices.

Parking is tight but once you get in the place is nicely decorated, with linen napkins. The food was outstanding as well as the service. The waiters come back to the table numerous times. We had a mix of appetizers; spring rolls, steamed dumplings and ribs. Everything was exceptional. Two of us had the rack of lamb and two had the grilled fish. Both were very good. It was a whole fish that covered the plate and can be fileted at the table however we wanted the bones to remain. The overall experience was first class. The prices are moderate. We shall return.

I enjoy patronizing restaurants that value their customers and understand we have many, many options where we can spend an evening and our money. When I make a reservation, it doesn't seem unreasonable to beleve that you will be seated sometime around the agreed time and offered a reasonable explanation if your table is not available at the agreed time. Our reservation time had long passed the agreed time of 7:30 PM (by approximately 1 hour) and we were only offered an explanation of "there are several tables who look like they are ready to order dessert and should be leaving soon." That explanation was offered 3 times during our wait all the while there "regulars" who were walk-ins with no reservation who thanked the hostess for"taking care of them " and seating them as soon as they walked in. We were only one of several groups who also had reservations but also waited in excess of 1 hour for seating. The issue of taking a reservation and not knowing how to hold a reservation is comical on Seinfeld but not when you visit what you perceive as a professional restaurant. None of the staff even offered an apology for the extreme delay until approximately 11PM when we were leaving the restaurant. The manger thanked us for being "so patient" and dealing with the overbooking they had that night. Their complete disregard for the inconvenience they created is unacceptable and aggravated by their disregard for dealing with the overbooking and extreme delay while it vas happening, not after they accepted payment for the dinner that we had. There are too many restaurant options for us to consider and chose, restaurants who understand the value of their customers. Cin Cin is not one of those restaurants. No, I will not return to Cin Cin.

My wife, her best girlfriend and I had a magnificent dinner at CinCin! All I can say is WOW! Outstanding food, outstanding service, and outstanding ambience! For an appetizer, we all shared an order of Steamed Dumplings (filled with pork scallions and napa cabbage). For our entrees, my wife and I shared a Peking Duck and her friend had the Shrimp and Scallops in Lemongrass Sauce (with broccoli, snow peas and water chestnuts). The food could not have been improved upon. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. We lingered to visit, but were not rushed. The ambience was great, white table cloth and - even though the restaurant was pretty full - the noise level was comfortable. This restaurant is a wonderful blend of Chinese and French. You simply cannot go wrong here!

Had a very nice lunch, seated quickly and service was good. Prices were average and parking is limited in the lot. We stated with the steamed pork dumplings and delicious. For my entree Pad Thai with Jumbo Shrimp (Spicy) With basil, vegetables and crushed peanuts in a spicy squid sauce for 8.95. Good portion, it was spicy, tasty and the slight crunch was nice. My guest had Angel Hair and Shrimp Fresh pasta seasoned with fresh basil, garlic and sesame sauce for 9.50 He claimed it was his go to meal and his favorite on the menu. Nice tables, good service and we were given time to talk but not left unattended.

This restaurant has been around forever and always prepares delicious Chinese food. I have enjoyed every dish I tried at Cin Cin.

Monday night has been designated for Asian food in our home: if we're feeling lazy, we have mediocre Chinese food delivered. When we want perfect food, albeit more expensive but not outrageous, we head to Chestnut Hill and go to CinCin. Sometimes it's just soup and dumplings; other times it's Peking duck or, recently, exquisite soft shell crabs. The wine pours are generous and the service is always spot on.

My title says it all. I prefer to dine where the management's attitude indicates that it appreciates my patronage. The waiter was finely proficient and was tipped appropriately. Enough said.

A crowd was waiting as we entered, which we expected when we reserved our table several days ago ("we're fully booked from 5:30 on"), and which is the norm here on New Year's Eve. We settled in at the bar, and were eventually seated. Henry, the manager, was actively making tables available in different configurations for various size groups; he and his staff all seemed excited to see and serve the many regular, as well as new, customers. It was worth the wait! My teenage son devoured his favorite (for a dozen years or so) Steamed Dumplings and Szechuan Style Green Beans in short order, and two of us swooned over the day's special Chilean Sea Bass with Mango Sauce. I had a not too spicy lamb dish, and others had delicious char-grilled lamb chops and General Tso's Chicken. We shared some chocolate ice cream cake for dessert; only two of us wanted doggy bags. Noisemakers and party headgear completed the picture, but we had to bring them home for the celebration.

The food here is very good. They make best hot and sour soup I've ever had. The owner and cashier can be snobby and unwelcoming. I have been going there for many years and they still treat me like strangers. I prefer going for take-out because I don't feel like they appreciate my business and my recent inside dining experience with a group of friends was unremarkable.

Have not been to Cin Cin for a few years so decided to drop in Parking lot has only 8 spots so need to find street parking in a fairly busy area Greeted at table by a not so friendly waitress who didn't smile and was not happy we didn't order a cocktail Where were the traditional crispy noodles?Only came when asked for and not good Hot & sour soup was good & hearty Lo mein was fairly tasty but not hot Tira misu -Portion size small but over priced Not on my list for a return visit

When I called for the reservation in the morning, the lady answered the phone was very rude. She sounded like she did not care if we come in at all. Maybe that should signal me not to go to this restaurant. But since 6 of us have already decided to go there, we just went. I am from China and I dine out a lot in China and US. So I know good Chinese food. The food was not that good and the price was too high compares to the quality of the food. We will never go back to this restaurant again.

Hard to converse over the racket of dishes and other people. Food quite good and they can spice it up if you want.

Interesting flavors and great service added to a fun evening with friends. I would recommend this restaurant and plan to visit next time I'm in town.

My husband and friends were at this restaurant on Saturday 3/23/19. The waiter was an absolute nightmare!!!!!!!!! It was like putting our dinner in FAST FORWARD !!!!!!!! Not kidding. Food was great [we have been there in the past several times] but never experienced anything like this evening. It's like we were not even done with our food and he KEPT asking if we were done.I told him I was still using this plate, and 2 minutes later, he took it off the table. We were all literally getting indigestion. We had reservations, and this restaurant is not cheap. We should have been able to talk with our friends and not rush through our dinner!!!!!! So unfair as to what he did and KEPT DOING !!!!!! To make matters even WORSE, we all asked to see the dessert menu. Before we knew it he gives us this 1 piece of cake for the table and said "It's On The House". OMG!!!!!!!!!!! Now do you see the point of him rushing us?????? We could not believe this. Just regret not getting his name so that I could warn people not to get this horrible waiter. He literally RUINED our night that we were so looking forward to.

Greeted by the owner our group of 20 folks had a room with at least three servers. We were well cared for by everyone. The food as usual was top notch. It's easy to share entrees because the portions are huge. I had a crab asparagus salad along with the shrimp angel pasta. Flavors are difficult to capture in words. Everything was tasty. Beverages stayed full without asking. Chocolate dipped fortune cookies at the end! What a truly fabulous experience. Thanks to everyone who made it all happen.

We hadn't been to CinCin for a few years and decided to try it out again. We were not disappointed. The sweet and sour soup was spicy and tasty and not too hot. As a celiac, I was told I could have many things on the menu , they would just make it Gluten free. I had the Pad Thai and it was delicious. The service is excellent and friendly and the ambiance is elegant. My husband and I decided the food was better then ay other Chinese food in the area and decided to use it for take out as well.

Hard to be disappointed, unless your taste runs closer to completely authentic Chinese food of the sort you'd seek out in Chinatown or a similar venue. But they have nothing to apologize for here; the offerings should satisfy most American palates, and are well prepared if not terribly adventurous. A safe choice -- and that is not meant as a criticism; you can feel comfortable eating there with first timers and be confident they will find several dishes that will please them.

Everyone was happy with their food choice, and the wait staff made great suggestions. We ordered appetizers (steamed wontons, chicken satay), wonton and sweet/sour soup, duck special, and no complaints. Decent portions. Only thing lacking was the wine list.

The food is always consistent with a variety of specials. The wine list offers some very good selections

Following the restaurant's offerings billed as Chinese with a French flair, Cin Cin is clean and light with crisp lines, Asian decor, and white linen tablecloths. Their dishes seem familiar but with a twist. We started with a tasty appetizer Steamed Crab Meat Saumai. For entrees, his Spicy Rice Vermicelli Singapore Style was delicious. My Chicken & Vegetable Saute (snow peas, water chestnuts, carrots and broccoli in a white wine sauce, per the menu) unexpectedly had mushrooms, which I had to pick out (sorry, mushroom lovers!), but I expect when ingredients are listed that they mention all of them. Beyond that, the resulting dish was quite good. Friendly attentive service. We had an enjoyable experience.

The food is middle of the road, the decor is Ok, the service is provided with a frown and is not attentive. The value does not suffice. Parking is very limited

Wanted to have a nice mother's day treat for my wife and family and despite making a reservation several days in advance, when we arrived they had so overbooked thier reservation system, they were far from ready to accomodate us. To make matters worse, there is a tiny waiting area with about 5 seats at a bar. After waiting about 25 minutes past our reservation time, we were told there were still 2 other parties of 4 ahead of us!! Ruined our plans as I was not about to continue waiting some undetermined about of time for a table where were crammed in like sardines with all of the others waiting (many of whom were also well past their reservation time). When asking the hostess how much longer our wait would be, she was curt and un-apologetic. Terrible customer service from our single experience here.

Great food, better service and a "monster" menu. We wouldn't miss going to CinCin whenever we're in the Philadelphia area. We meet friend there every year-- either Thanksgiving or Christmas. There's a very good reason for the place to be always mobbed-- it's terrific!

I was visiting the area with colleagues and we stumbled on Cin Cin at the recommendation of a local colleague. The service was amazing. Not overbearing, fast, and very reminiscent of my time in China. The food was delicious and plenty to share with each other. Plates were passed and it wasn’t out of place to do so here. The dumplings and Pad Thai were amazing, but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Also, get the Creme Brûlée and the fresh Lychee for dessert!

Food was good . Little noisy. Tables close together . The steamed whole fish was excellent, also liked the Hunan duck

I hadn't been back to this restaurant in along time as i do not live close by, but the food was as good as I had remembered it. The rack of lamb was wonderful, and my sister had the duck which was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive and very helpful. We were seated immediately as we had reservations; which I recommend as it was crowded when we left.Overall a great experience

My wife and I were taking a class in Chestnut Hill and wanted to grab a bit to eat in the area. CinCin came us on the TripAdvisor listing so I thought we would give it a try. I'm glad we did... we tried a number of different dishes, each one freshly prepared and wonderfully flavorful. From the simplicity of the pan fried pork dumplings to a more complex main entree, we loved the food and were greatly impressed with the service, which was exceptional. It's a bit pricey, but you truly get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Not sure why this is so highly praised by many others. Excellent service, but food seemed rather somewhat bland and average (though otherwise competently prepared and well presented). My shrimp with honey walnuts was a good example. For my taste, would just as soon go to nearby Yu Hsiang; not as fancy, but at least as good, as well as less expensive.

My family and I have eaten at CinCin three times. The first time was approximately two years ago (maybe longer) and we thought the food was wonderful. The second time not so good. My wife and I decided to give it one more try and went there for dinner on 12/2. My wife had a chicken dish that was supposed to be spicy and I had the honey walnut shrimp. Both dishes were bland. The shrimp weren't over cooked but the honey walnut sauce was flavorless. I don't think we'll be returning to CinCin nor would I recommend it. The table decor was nice.

We recommend Cin Cin as in dining experience or for take out or delivery food. The cuisine is creative Chinese and pan-Asian recipes with French influences. When we dine there, the staff is incredible and manager Henry is a total pro. It is a real gem!

This outstanding Chinese restaurant is located in the Cherry Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia on busy Germantown Avenue. Parking can be found on side streets in case the parking lot is filled. The menu is rather large but all of the dishes that I have had here have been outstanding; this opinion is based on my visits to Philadelphia for the past 20 years. 5/5 Service is friendly, courteous and prompt. 5/5 Ambience: Beautiful, quiet despite the crowd. Rating: 5/5. Value: 5/5 $$-$$$ Would I return? Absolutely, and I have for 20 years! (I wish we had this restaurant in Georgia!)

had lived in Chestnut Hill many years before moving to Midwest but seem to have somehow missed dining here. This time we were invited to a birthday lunch. Despite the name it is Chinese Service to a large group was excellent. Everything served to the group was excellent. Sorry we had never gone in the past but will in the future.

My first visit to Cin Cin was a good one. I was there on a Friday night - I started with an egg roll - and had their triple sizzling platter (beef, chicken and shrimp with vegetables). It was very nicely prepared. They describe themselves as Chinese food with a French flair. Next time, I will try their duck. I saw a few go to other tables and it looked wonderful.

This Chestnut Hill standard proves why it’s been a top-rated restaurant for more than 20 years – because the restaurant is comfortable, the food is great, and the service accommodating and professional. We were there for lunch and can’t wait to return for more. (We agree with BCM1225): The Pan Fried Dumplings were terrific – great skins, excellent filling, perfectly prepared. The Crab and Asparagus Salad, an unusual offering in a Chinese restaurant, had just the right blend of vegetables (although maybe a little heavy on the onion) and crab in a nice balsamic vinaigrette. The Hot and Sour Soup was about the best we’ve ever had. All in all, a wonderful experience.

Four women revisited Cin Cin after many years. It hasn't changed much, still wonderful Chinese food in a lovely setting, no red vinyl booths here. We were greeted immediately and drink orders were taken. When we got our wine, our waiter asked for our order-that hasn't changed either! So, if you want a relaxing meal, just take your time and don't allow yourself to be rushed. We shared two appetizers- the egg rolls and dumplings were delicious. We all ordered different meals, I had the crab cake which was very very good, I would recommend it. Same brown rice, but the veggies were fresh and crisp. Along with fortune cookies, we shared a yummy decadent chocolate dessert. Pricier than I remember, the bill with 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, dessert, coffee, 5 glasses of wine and tip was $375

Yes, CinCin is good, and has tasty soup and entrees, but watch who serves you, meaning I have had very good experiences with their wait personnel and very bad. Some of these experiences are based on the last few years of dining there, but diners need to be forewarned. If you get a rude or brusque server, immediately tell the manager.

I have been wanted to check out Cin Cin and finally got a chance to check out the place. We had a pricking duck and yeh yang shrimp along with steam dumplings. The duck was very well done and the shrimp dish was good but nothing special. The steamed dumplings were fantastic. Dining tables were set up so close to others and noise level was rather high. It was difficult talking to my wife at the dinner table. The restaurant has its own parking lot but space is very limited. It appears a lot of regulars come in to dine out.

Go any other time except during Restaurant Week. The service then is rushed and less attentive. The food was good.

After not having been to CinCin for quite some time, we visited there recently and were happy to note that much is the same regarding quality of food and service.

We moved from the suburbs six years ago and still have not found a Chinese Restaurant as great as this one. Not to be missed is the Peking Duck. It's always crowded for a reason. The cooking is really good here and Henry is a great host. elegant atmosphere.

We went there on a special occasion and found very helpful and friendly waiters who made us laugh while they explained the menu and brought the dishes.

We arrived a little before 6:30 PM on a Saturday evening and were promptly seated. Our server was attentive, though he seemed very concerned as to whether or not we were ordering drinks (my husband wanted to wait till he decided on his entree to decide what drink to order). Our food from beginning to end arrived amazingly fast and was very, very hot. We particularly enjoyed our soups- I had the hot and sour and my husband the won ton. Our main entrees were from the specials of the day. Mine was tasty mango chicken dish. I think my husband was slightly disappointed that his spicy beef was not that spicy. Water glasses were filled continuously thorough out the meal. Prices were extremely reasonable, especially for a restaurant with cloth table cloths and napkins and live flowers, etc. We were able to find on street parking close by and enjoyed a stroll in the area after our meal.

Cin Cin is one of our neighborhood restaurants that's good for take-out (we have two other Chinese restaurants, a Thai place, and an Indian place, in addition to numerous pizza places.) For years, it has been our go-to restaurant on nights that we don't have time to cook. The food is fairly consistent, although we sometimes see a drop in quality in the eggplant with garlic sauce. The Saki Wild Pepper chicken is excellent. It's fairly spicy, but you can ask to have a version prepared with no hot spice. We never order the expensive specials, but rather from their standard menu. Their take-out service is excellent: they have everything ready within 15 minutes and stay open late (for the neighborhood.) You can ask to substitute brown rice for white rice. The menu is online.

I recently visited Cin-Cin again. My memory was again renewed. It is not adventurous and maybe not Chinese. The food does not resemble food found in other Chinese restaurants. But it is good and probably a fusion of Asian and European tastes. I went there with my friends because I heard they now had a Chef's Surprise Menu. This sounded appealing to me and my friends thought it would be worth a try if we could ask some questions of the waiter. The waiter immediately cautioned us against this option. I was going to go for it anyway but my friends were scared off. Too Bad! Why offer a Chef's Surprise, if the wait staff is not in favor of this "surprise" ? Maybe I will visit again if I am in the neighborhood and order the Chef's Surprise.

We arrived w/o a reservation, our mistake! They had a full house but the host let us know that some tables would open up soon. Within 15 mins, we were given a table for the 6 of us. Very gracious waitress, arrived promptly to take our drink orders. By the time our drinks arrived we decided our appetizers. The shrimp and pork steamed dumplings were absolutely delicious. Main dinner selections...shrimp and scallops in lemongrass sauce...wonderful, the special fish dish, excellent. I now have to find a Chinese restaurant in the Raleigh area that has this quality of food. It's gonna be difficult.

Had reservations at 7 for a table of four on a rainy but still warm Saturday night. I arrived 15 minutes early while my husband was trying to find parking as Chestnut Hill was very busy and the restaurant was packed. Henry, the host, got things under control sitting a few twos until our table was ready. Although I was alone, he seated me and the server quickly appeared and took my drink order. My husband arrived soon after and immediately the server took his drink order. And so the service went the entire evening. She was wonderful and so was the meal. We enjoyed 2 orders of delicious pan seared dumplings at $6.99, won ton soup at $2.99 and noodles with shredded cucumbers and carrots at $5.99 as appetizers. We don't usually eat up starting with appetizers but the enticing menu pulled us in. My entree as well as my friend's was roasted duck breast served with bok choi in a thick teriyaki inspired sauce around $21. Yum Yum! My husband enjoyed his tofu with roasted vegetables lickings the plate clean. The bar prices are fair and the food prices, reasonable. Enjoyed the ambience and the diverse mix of diners. Although we no longer live locally, we visit family and friends often and CinCin will definitely be on our "go to" list.

Great interesting food, every dish has something different and interesting . Very good and courteous service. Highly recommend if in the Phili area

I was hopeful about going to this restaurant. It has a good reputation. My family came in at the time of our reservation, and were sitting there for maybe 15 minutes, sipping the water we were provided, until the waiter came to take our appetizer orders. Then he went off to take other orders. Quite a few people who had arrived well after we did recieved their food. Finally, about 30 minutes later, we lost patience. The hostess tried to persuade us to stay, explaining that they were understaffed at the time, but 45 minutes waiting to be served an Appetizer isn't exusable in any case. Cin-Cin clearly did not value us as customers, so we took our money (and empty stomachs) to a different restaraunt.

My second visit did not disappoint. CinCin touts their cuisine to be Chinese with a touch of French. Okay. The four of us very much enjoyed our dinners. The no-wait Peking duck, served tableside in little roll-ups, was amazing; chinese pancake, plum sauce and heavenly duck. Wow. Even better than the duck, for me, were the summer rolls - shrimp, veggies, lots of interesting things, dipped in a hoisin sauce (perhaps). Double wow. Service was ... efficient. Parking is probably on the street since their tiny lot holds only a handful of autos. Recommend.

this has been a great place for a long time, but has lost its shine. the last 2 meals we had there were actually poor and the take-out was worse. seemed the food was not as fresh and it was a bit more "goopy" than normal. we really like the owners, but wish it would be better.

The food is neither good nor bad. I've heard good reviews about the food from friends but it still lacked the x factor a lot of other chinese restaurants give. Service was so-so. We chose the Chef's gourmet surprise and the waitress didn't even know what the surprise was all about! Would still go back but with less expectations.

we went there 3 times because my husband is a lover of chinese cuisine. staff were very business like though and we have rated it poor because 2 staff members behaved appaulingly towards us on the 3rd visit.

Dined at Cin Cin with a party of 8 and enjoyed a variety of selections. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and quickly served. Our only problem was that upon arrival, the greeter didn't seem able to understand that we had a reservation. He did quickly find us a table, however, so all was well.

Girls day out marvelous lunch at CinCin Lovely menus service was implacable mandarin and Pan Asian dishes. Price was a little. high though. Won't deter me going back located in the heart of quante Chestnut Hill cobble stoned roads.

We've ordered a number of items for take-out over the years our son has lived in this area of PA. However, every order has steamed Dumplings on it! They are easily the best we have ever eaten. It is clear that whoever makes these knows what they are doing. The dumpling wrappers are so light and the filling is so tasty. So no matter what else you order, get the DUMPLINGS!!

Delicious take on Asian Food. Dine In and Take Out. A little pricey but worth it.

CinCin is a fusion of Chinese and French. Regretfully neither come off as great. the food was good and we will go back. WE had two entrees - sweet and sour pork, very good; and Peking duck - mundane.

I unfortunately only dine here for lunch about twice annually and always am impressed with their creations and execution. The wonton soup is delicate, flavorful with shredded pork and cabbage that is unique and tasty! My main course was Shrimp and black bean sauce. The shrimp were perfectly cooked along with the vegetables with a delicious spicy black bean sauced which lined the dish. The portions are adequate and the slightly higher prices than other Chinese restaurants are justified due to the higher quality. Highly recommended!

Outstanding eatery that provides great fresh food and superb service. The staff is super. They are well versed on the menu and eager to make your visit as pleasant as possible. I enjoy dinning there as well as working with them every Saturday.

Lovely atmosphere, good service and a delicious and varied menu. Right on Germantown Ave., where many fine restaurants and shops invite travelers and locals to enjoy a stroll

When Asian cuisine is done right, you can taste each ingredient with every bite. Welcome to Cin Cin. Have heard great things about it for years. We went early Saturday night ....actually we were able to park in the 8 car lot. Henry greets everyone with a welcoming smile. The soups were fabulous and able to enjoy peking duck without a pre-order. And a fortune cookie dipped in decadent chocolate! By the time we left, there were easly 50 + people waiting to be seated. Did not disappoint.

Finding a good restaurant in Chestnut Hill with its own parking lot is tough, but CinCin has it. We met friends there and enjoyed our dining experience. CinCin serves Asian food with a french flare. Our appetizers, Pan-Fried Dumplings and Barbecued Spare Ribs were very good. I then enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass and my husband enjoyed Mongolian Lamb (Spicy.) Our friends savored their entrees too. Having no room to order dessert, we did find space for a dark chocolate dipped fortune cookie.

We were visiting a young friend who is a student at nearby Arcadia University and had to pick a restaurant to take him for the one night we were there, so we looked on the internet hoping to find a good one. We’ll, we hit the jackpot with this one! It more than lived up to the reviews we read about it and I only wish that we had something like Cin Cin where we live! The Chinese dishes were superb and the ones with the “French Flair” were equally as good. In fact, the escallop of veal might have been our overall favorite, but I wouldn’t want to have to pick one, everything was so wonderful! In addition, the ambiance and the service were both very good! All in all, a fabulous choice!
Cin Cin for Chinese dining if you are in the northwest part of Phila.
Henry, one of the owners, does a superb job keeping this Chinese restaurant one of the best, if Not the best, in Philadelphia, for cuisine, service and atmosphere. Peking duck is a must!.
