They do it well

By Jjs57 |

We ate here last week for a late dinner. We weren't seated for 30 minutes after our reservation, but i must say the bartenders and servers once we were seated were great. As this is one of the most popular places in Miami and it was a holiday week, it is understandable that we had to wait. The pasta is as good as any we have ever eaten, whether it is in the USA or Italy. Raphaela, our waitress was great and extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Outstanding restaurant!

By BeatrizG2 |

Cipriani Miami is an elegant restaurant with stunning views, great ambiance and outstanding service. The menu has wonderful selection of dishes and I particularly love their gnocchi and Bellinis!

Shocked that I used to recommend this spot.

By Ryan L |

Wow... I can’t believe I used to recommend this spot at one time. My last experience here was far below what I’d experienced before, I hoped it was a fluke but this time around was honestly worse. I can’t imagine showing up to any other high quality restaurant early for your reservations and not being seated until 35 minutes after your reservations as you stand around the lobby like a moron waiting to be seated. Disrespectful. The service was poor and I was charged for an item I hadn’t even ordered, we were also brought someone else’s food. Can’t see myself recommending this spot again without seeing a complete turnaround. Embarrassing.

So disappointing........

By Hotel-111 |

We decided for our final night to try Cipriani, simple, don’t bother, unless you are a known regular Miami guest. Large ridiculously light dining hall so the fantastic waterside view is ruined. We were placed in the middle of the room, very few tables taken, and really from then on ignored. People air kissed and greeted around us like long lost friends, we got sparkling water continually trying to be added to still water, no bread basket....an occasional glance and then eventually our order was taken. We asked why it was so bright.....told the owner likes everyone to be able to see what is going on, perhaps that needs translating to the staff!!. Our starter came the baked eggplant, not hot enough and quite frankly lacking in anything special...we were by now so annoyed that we asked to pay for that and decided to leave, we were presented with a bill which included SERVICE.....what service exactly?...when we asked to see a manager, whilst they apologized they couldn’t care less, my advice don’t waste either your time or money on this one, they couldn’t even fill the place on a Friday night! There are much better options with great food and service available and places that actually have both character and atmosphere , give this a miss!!

Classy and beautiful

By VanessaDV90 |

Finally we are traveling again after the last crazy year we had with the virus and decided to come back to one of our favorite spots!! Food and service were simply perfect, nothing to add. The location is beautiful as always with great view (for this they recommend us to try as well their sister restaurant Bellini and will try in the next days)…..

Well done food

By mclaraospina |

The place is luxurious. The locations beautiful, so is the decoration. The food is simple but well done. Classical. Expensive no doubt. Many people go to bee seen. Don’t go if you what creative cooking.

Disrespectful reception

By Eltontt |

I went to Cipriani on July 23rd, and my experience was ruined right from the reception. I was greeted by a host (I'm not sure if I should call him a maître), who scrutinized me from head to toe. After his "buona sera," he asked if I had a reservation. I replied in the affirmative, and in a display of extreme unfriendliness and arrogance, he once again looked me up and down and informed me that there was a dress code in the restaurant and that my shorts were not considered appropriate attire (I was wearing a collared shirt, shorts, and appropriate footwear. It was 35 degrees Celsius in Miami, and I was on vacation with my pregnant wife). Once again, in a haughty tone, he told us he would seat us at a table, as if he were doing us a favor. We were placed at the first table near the bar. As customers without reservations arrived, they were allowed to congregate around us. Men in T-shirts and ripped jeans and women in very short dresses (one of them with part of her buttocks showing) were all warmly welcomed by our "buona sera" host. Throughout my dinner, I had to share the table with people standing just inches away from us, and I even had difficulty conversing with my wife. The table service was impeccable, one of the best I've experienced in Miami. The pasta was just okay, but the dessert was incredible. In summary, it was not clear to me what level of refinement the restaurant is aiming for. What kind of experience does Cipriani intend to provide its customers? Why was I not prevented from entering the restaurant if my attire was an issue? It's difficult to understand the reason for the comment about my clothing since I was allowed to dine. Gratuitous humiliation? This host, who is nothing more than an employee dressed in a disheveled suit, singing "buona sera," should review his protocols and understand that a customer leaving their home, city, or country, willing to pay a $300 bill on their credit card, does not seek disrespect. The working environment of this man, surrounded by Miami's high society, seems to make him believe he is special when he is not. Cipriani, please review your reception protocol.

Food? nothing to write home about

By marcio K |

The atmosphere is lovely, very good and elegant service. With that said,I was expecting a both tasty and creative food and was disappointed. We were two couples who ordered the lamb chops and scallops, both were just adequate. As far as dessert ,the tiramisu was below par when I compare it to other Italian restaurants in Palm Beach county.Wine list is good but overpriced(and please give up serving good wine in a tumbler glass). T

Very good

Cipriani

By Guilherme C |

Very good food, but serving wine in a glass of juice was awful!!! We asked entry was good, dish kids very good and double dish great. But really serving the wine in a glass of juice was disappointing

Outstanding service - Average Food

By Stanley G |

Cipriani is an elegant restaurant with beautiful water views looking down the mouth of the Miami River. Upon entry; you are met and seated by a gracious maitre d. From here it is all down hill. The food is disappointing we started with bucatini amatricana . First time I have ever had it served in a white sauce. We would not order it again. My wife had the branzino, good but not special. I had the veal millenase . Beautiful presentation, but only fair. The bill, $300. I would much prefer to dine at Bazar Mar, La Petit Rouge, or Zuma for the same price and within 1 mile. Also don’t forget newcomer Novikov which is superb.

I go for the Vanilla Meringue Pie!

By Essextravellots |

Cipriani serve my most favourite dessert ever encountered to date and that’s a lot of desserts! The food is good but the Vanilla Meringue Pie is amazing ! Service is excellent too. We enjoyed our 10th wedding anniversary here this evening. If I could pick up dessert and go I’d probably visit daily !

Miami vibes

By AlanaMaria |

This is a chic waterfront restaurant with a warm welcome. The service was excellent with a gracious wait staff happy to dazzle. The branzino was amazing - perfectly cooked and served with care. I would enjoy another long leisurely lunch there tomorrow, if I could

Excellent restaurant with flawless service

By BB1938 |

It had been more than a year since we were last at Cipriani's so we went today for lunch, and I can say it is the same wonderful restaurant we had enjoyed last time. Food is good, service is very attentive, and ambiance is very nice as it is on the river waterfront.

Refined and luxurious

By Paul A |

The ambiance at Cipriani Miami is refined and luxurious, with a blend of modern and traditional Italian design elements. The interior features plush seating, marble floors, and an overall polished look that complements the high-end dining experience.

Poor

By Marc C |

very disappointed; for these prices I would expect a much better experience: as the last couple to seat of our group we were never given a wine list or asked if we would like a drink; the bread on the table was pre-sliced and brought in from Publix; the 8 Argentinian shrimp for $57 were very over cooked, a travesty; curry sauce to go with it was mediocre; dessert ice cream was good, soft serve comparable to dairy queen or Andy's in Chicago. I just think for these prices the experience and quality should be much better; won't be going back.

Mandatory visit

By paulor993 |

Cozy Mood, proper Service, tasty dishes, well crafted, attentive staff, and perfect dessert, as well as espresso in the right size, I recommend

Nice restaurant but overrated...

By Departure658578 |

My husband and I live in downtown Miami and decided to try Cipriani Downtown. First, the restaurant is lovely. It is well decorated and elegant near the river. Second, the service for the price paid was dismal at best. We sat, waited, called the waiter over. (I think his name was Alberto - not sure) The waiter looked like he did not want to serve and just wanted to stand there and look good... When I asked if he was our waiter the response was "oh yes this is family style we all wait on everyone." He walks away and does not return. Then, the head waiter Winno comes over and helps us. He was a gentleman and provided appropriate service. Finally, the food. Okay, we ordered salmon, rice, and bolognese. The salmon was fresh but tasteless, and the rice was crunchy. The bolognese was average not a great flavor. My husband's pasta dishes are by far better. The dessert a homemade gelato was fresh and delicious. Would I return? No. I may try Cipriani Beverly Hills next time I am in L.A. to compare. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Miami. I recommend other establishments for the price you will pay at Cipriani Downtown Miami.

Enjoyable

By sham k |

Excellent View, Great service, Good ambiance. But that was it for me. The food was good, nothing spectacular, The Dover sole was nice, but slightly over done, salads were ok and so was the pasta. Deserts are overpriced for what they were.

To be avoided

By Marco valenti |

Really bad place but very bad, the food is so-so, the incredible thing is that they serve the wine (even expensive) in glasses for water which is absurd. Not recommended

No wine glasses

By Flavio D |

The food, mainly the pasta , was excellent with the exemption of the cod appetizer which had no taste, but the worst was to drink an excellent wine in a cheap dollar tree glass. We asked the waiter why Cipriani did not have wine glass and he said that they do like Italy which is not true and that have no special glasses for wine or any other drink. Next time we will take our own wine glasses. It is ashamed for a good restaurant have no wine glasses.

Very good option

By leon c |

Very good option Good service Nice place Accept credit cards Have valet Need reservation . Price $$$$.

Good food - Awful service

By Stefania F |

I have been to several Cipriani locations around the world and have enjoyed every single one except the one in Miami. The waitress attempted to upsell us at every possible opportunity. We ordered 2 expensive bottle of wines (200$-300$ each), and when we asked for her opinion, she told us we should go for a 600$ bottle. Also, after ordering nearly half the menu, she tried to push more dishes from the truffle menu on us. Overall, I felt harassed and cheap, although a bill for 4 people came out to 1500$. Shameful.

First time and last time

By Lazaro Q |

My wife made reservations at Cipriani for 3 since it was her birthday. I took my 82 year old father in law with us. I did not do any research on the restaurant before we went so I had no idea what to expect, but I was hoping for a great meal. We had reservations at 7 pm, but arrived a bit late since the traffic to get into Brickell on a Friday is brutal. The restaurant is located in the massive building that houses the W Hotel. We valet parked, but please note it is not complimentary. We stayed at the restaurant for around 90 minutes and paid $20 for the valet. I went directly to the hostess to give my name, but she quickly pointed me to whom I believe was the Maitre D. I assume he was Italian because he said buona sera, but didn't say anything else or look me in the eye. He just waved his hand to follow him. I felt like he herded us quickly to our table. He had a look on his face like we were bothering him and I got a rude vibe from him. The entire dinner experience felt rushed. Our waiter was helpful, but was always hovering over us asking if we were ready to order. He seemed confused every time we ordered a drink or food. It almost seemed like he wanted us to order more food and drinks than what we were ordering. When we first got seated the restaurant was fairly empty and I believed that they were going to leave some tables empty for social distancing, but I was wrong. The restaurant quickly started filling up and they filled the tables around us. I felt bad for my 82 year old father in law because people in an adjacent table were sitting 18 inches away from him. The worst part about Cipriani was the food. I don't mind paying big money for food if it is superb, but that was not the case. I ordered a lobster risotto that had a single small piece of lobster and the risotto itself was under done. My risotto was $50, my wife ate a small eggplant parmigiana for around $30, and my father in law had a few bits of chicken with mash potatoes for around $30. We ordered an appetizer, a few drinks, and a couple of desserts. Our bill came out to $320. I felt sorry for my wife because she chose Cipriani and realized she had made a horrible choice for her birthday dinner. The worst part about the entire thing is that my wife and I had lunch earlier in the day at Aprile in Doral and we had a fabulous meal for $50 total. When one of the host realized we were done he quickly cleaned our table and brought us our bill. He got upset at our waiter when he didn't charge us and get rid of us quicker. We were definitely ready to go anyways because the restaurant was packed and we had already put our masks on. The place felt like a tourist trap with poor quality food and I will definitely not be going back.

Reservation why?

By Peter A |

I have been eating at the cipriani in NY and tried Miami. Terrible experience as our reservation was not respected and the manager ( kind of unpolite figure) was unrespetable and basically asked us to leave if we could not wait between 30 min to one hour, with no guarantee!!!! Please avoid the place as it does not respect people. Peter

horrible bar rip off be careful

By Brie I |

We have been to ALL of the Cipriani all over the world. From Venice to London NY and Miami. The bar tender is clueless. My husband asked for a glass of Amaroni, he replied he didnt have a glass of that particular wine. So, he suggested, "Price Blind" Super Tuscan he had behind the bar. My husand said yes, the waiter took our glass of wine to the table, still have NO idea how much the glass of wine was assuming under $40. He orders 2/3 more glasses of the same wine..we get the bill and the 6 OZ crappy pour was $90 dollars a glass!!!!! The bar tendar is a clueless piece of crap, who should have suggested a bottle of wine at the bar in lieu of a $90 half 6oz glass of wine. Be aware at this bar, the bar tender and managmenet are a bunch of clueless, unaware pigs. The manager on duty, Marco was kind enough to give us the credit for each $90 glass back on our Amex, we declined the offer. That isnt the piont. The point is the bar tender is bad bad representation of the front line of this restaraunt!

Such Class.. impeccable service..

By Angie M |

This is an incredibly special restaurant.. the service is unbeatable.. menu selection is great.. I still dream about the homemade ravioli in the butter sauce that melted in my mouth!

Excellent restaurant, prime location

By Jetro7 |

A wonderful evening at Cipriani Miami. Bellinis are exquisite and food is awesome. From beef carpaccio to Bucatini all'Amatriciana, everything was perfect. Very nice service.

FANTASTIC PRIX FIXE LUNCH

By Carolyn C |

We find the food at Cipriani as consistent as their trademark decor and reliably good across their growing list of locations - Miami was no exception. But, what was a welcome surprise to us was the prix fixe lunch on a Saturday which offers an appetizer, an entree and gelato dessert for $26. We had delicious beet and goat cheese salad and grilled salmon with coconut gelato. We enjoyed wines by the glass. Great service.

Wonderful place for a rehearsal dinner

By glm1022 |

We held my son's rehearsal dinner in April at Cipriani. Beatrice was an absolute delight to work with and she made sure everything was perfect. She had special menus printed with the Bride and groom's name and allowed me to bring in the flower arrangements and candles as well as pictures that I wanted at the venue. The view of Biscayne bay was beautiful and all of our out of state guests loved the location. The food was amazing and the service was very efficient. The restaurant supplied the microphone for the speeches. Everything was wonderful.

Overated

By Thomas A |

Below average food at a very high price. Very much over priced Not worth the trouble. They also add on sir-charges that are not disclosed, ridiculous. Add another 20 bucks just to park. Would never go back there again

First Class Dining at Super High Prices

By TennisBumMiami |

Cipriani competes with Il Gabbiano in the Miami super-lux Italian dining experience. Both offer the best in Italian specialties coupled with highly professional service. My wife and I selected the "Miami Spice" menu which featured carpaccio and salmon tartar appetizers, snapper and their signature TAGLIARDI WITH VEAL RAGU. All 4 selections were outstanding and plentiful. For dessert, we had a vanilla and a chocolate cake; again both exceptional. We had the suggested white and red wine pairing which added $40 to the bill. With the included tip and taxes, the total bill came to $178 which probably represented a $50 savings had "Miami Spice" not been available. So how does this compare with Il Gabbiano? Equal in food and service but I would give the edge to Il Gabbiano because of outside waterfront tables and slightly lower cost. Neither of these restaurants would I frequent regularly at my income level but for special occasions they should be strongly considered.

Great location!

By Mark E |

We loved the outdoor seating. Food was terrific, and service was very good..It is not an inexpensive restaurant, but worth it in my opinion.

Cipriani. Miami

By Maribel S |

Not as good as you would expect, just only as expensive as you could escpect. The pasta we ordered was not “al dente”. We had to send it back to the kitchen. Very good service. And nice atmosphere.

I love it

By Legna Disla |

Excelente me ha gustado fui por primera vez y es un lugar elegante, la comida muy rica y el personal super amable Excellent I liked it I went for the first time and it is an elegant place, the food is very tasty and the staff is super friendly

Good ambiance, undistinguished food

By BB1938 |

We went for lunch on a Sunday, as we had not returned in some time and wanted to see how it was going. There are lots of waiters, but they are not terribly attentive. The food is very average, nothing superlative. If it were not for its location or its well known name, it would be considered a regular Italian restaurant.

Overrated and

By Bel122 |

Where do I even start? This place seems to run on known regular guest and they want to remain like that. As soon as we walked in the manager insists on speaking italian to us regardless of not understanding him. We asked to be moved to another table and he did but wasn't very happy. Then once our waiter came and he realized we were not ordering alcohol everything went down the drain. I heard the waiter speaking Spanish and when I asked if he did he denied it...ok? It was the most awkward dinner ever. Customer service is non existent. We were treated as if we were occupating a table that could be making more money. Food was bad... nothing good to say about appetizer, entree or dessert. I have had italian food all over the world including Italy and this was truly an overpriced shame. But hey, it happens....what made it stand out was the vibe. WEIRDEST mos UNCOMFORTABLE VIBE EVER. They definitely discriminate and pick who they want to come in and who they want to come back. If they don't see in you the kind of guest they like they will do everything in their power for you not to come back. They just want you out as soon as possible and they make sure you notice you are not welcome. Tip is automatically included regardless of party size because otherwise they wouldn't get any. A waste of time, money and energy.

Waste of Money, Very Rushed Experience

By John S |

While the food was good, the experience was horrible. Extremely rushed, tables crowed and we were bumped into several times. I felt like I was in a busy bus station. Very expensive for a rushed experience and food that is equally as good or better anywhere else. I gave it a two because of the food, but otherwise would rate it a 1. Waste of time.

Great Italian with amazing ambiance

By Beachrider1965 |

Truly delightful service and outstanding food options, we shared a miami spice menu plus few a la carte dishes we where very satisfied and left extremely happy it was a very last second decision nothing to regret about. Thank you guys!

Very weak, price not in line with the quality of the dishes

By rita c |

Bad service, cold food, without much flavor. Poor price/quality ratio. It doesn't look like an Italian restaurant. It only has the name. The view and the location save it

Average food. Significatly overated

By Bogdan2005 |

We had dinner with some friends at this restaurant. The location of the restaurant is very nice, at the gtound floor of a glass building in Brickell. The atmosphere is also very nice with the waiters wearing (I assume) the original white jackets. Unfortunatelly, we were very dissapointed by the quality of food - average quality in the best case scenario. We had daily recomendations homar bisque, risotto and the duck and all were dissapointing, lack taste. The only good thing was the icecream which was faboulos. All in all, we felt the quality was far from the very expensive price we paid.

Excellent

By Eduardo Rodriguez |

Went there on my birthday, the food was incredible and great service. The bolognese I had here was one of the best I've ever had in my life. The vanilla ice cream was incredibly good as well.

$28 lunch menu ridiculous !

By Christophemiami |

Another trap for tourist ! Menu at $28 offer pasta or chicken like on American Airlines ! If you add a glass of wine it s $20 ! Valet $19 for more than 1h30. Worse is the manager that smile at you if you say something... I guess he never pays the bill

Never Go wrong

By HelenBorda |

Harry’s Bar,Cipriani,Harry Cipriani all of them are same amazing Taste and nice ambiance. Anywhere you go trust me never go wrong here. I love their whole menu!! Here in Miami it has a fresh vibe. Love seating facing the water as you see boats coming in and out of the River. Bellinis are so good and Baked tagliolini Right on point!! Always come here when in Miami,as its right in my street.

Unparalleled Service with water views!

By Stay21427593976 |

If you're looking for a fine dining restaurant that delivers on both taste and ambiance, Cipriani is a must-visit. With its exceptional cuisine, elegant setting, and impeccable service, it's a destination that will leave a lasting impression. The service is unparallel. The floor to ceiling windows with Miami river views are amazing as well! We are looking forward to visiting locations world-wide!

A bit disappointing

By lmat4 |

We went to this restaurant for dinner upon a recommendation by the concierge at our hotel. While the restaurant is beautiful and the view is amazing, the food was very average. My husband ordered shrimp which was actually undercooked. It is fairly pricey, but not so much for the area. We were very underwhelmed by the quality, taste and service of the food.

Top Quality

By Elena S |

Gorgeous location, elegant ambiance and delicious food! Cocktail bellini , welcome drink is over the top , pacchetti alla sorrentina were fabulous, wine list is a wonderful selection of different varieties of wines from different places. Service is excellent!!! See you soon!!!

Delicious meal with great service

By DreamaG |

Cipriani is pricey but the food quality and service are phenomenal. We had the pomodoro starter, rigatoni and bolognese. All three dishes were fantastic. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. The restaurant is located on the waterway and offers great views as well.

Gran experiencia y excelente servicio.

By edme4068 |

It is embarrassing to say that living in Miami we had not visited Cipriani before, we finally decided to do it last night. We informed them that it was our first visit and they were delighted to make us have a great experience. The service was outstanding, elegant and professionally friendly. Elegantly dressed, many gentlemen in jackets and elegantly dressed ladies. The tables with tablecloth as it should be in an elegant and decent place. Dining at a well-served table is also part of the pleasure, not just the food. I do not share that new "modern" trend of tables without a tablecloth, I've seen it even in the Ritz Carlton ... terrible. The food could not be more authentically Italian, I studied in Italy for many years, so I know what I'm talking about. As an architect, I can say the place is beautiful, the tables and chairs extremely confortable, very European chic style. Then at the end they gave us the dessert as a courtesy gift. Great detail, very Italian way of doing business. We were very happy, we had a fantastic eve and we will be back very soon.

Miami

By vivian |

I was very disappointed. The ravioli was great but chicken was dry and tasted burnt. Husband enjoyed his beef tenderloin, potatoes were deep fried. Definitely not a 4 star restaurant.

Still a Cip off the old block

By Captain1002 |

Food delicious...service tops...great view of the waterway. Be careful gratuity, is included so don’t tip twice.

Nice place, but VERY EXPENSIVE.

By Josefina R |

Nice place, well located, correct food - not outstanding - in small portions, very expensive for what it is.

Poor attitude and quality

By Robert L |

Surprisingly ordinary and à maître d with a very poor attitude. Invited by a client, the perspective was exciting but because we were a tad late, the Maître d was almost rude. Service was poor, very poor and slow and in fact an order of fish and pasta was partially served as the fish never made it to the table. Only the vanilla ice-cream was good, in fact it was exceptional but everything else was ordinary. They should try harder.

Great Service

By KristinaSt00 |

Love the food and ambiance at the restaurant. The place is perfect for business meetings or celebrations or a simple night out for dinner. The staff is very attentive and provides excellent service.

Horrible service, food ok

By jeblanco350 |

Simply said, there are much better Italian restaurants in Miami, the service was bad, the food average, if so. No Comparison to the NYC restaurant.

Subpar

By Misstravelers |

Arrived to be seated near a birthday party going. While it wasn't the birthday party's fault, I think the party should have been held somewhere away from regular diners. They were loud and celebrating which was expected but again why have a party of 30 ppl in the center of a restaurant? After the party, the clean up consists of hitting the pillows loudly, moving furniture, and carrying long wooden tables over the heads of diners while we ate- (extremely dangerous) The food was subpar, (ordered the curry shrimp, salmon was the end of the fish with brown parts under, ravioli was like 12 pieces, the side (spicy yellow rice was hard). The food was not to Cipirani standards NYC or Dubai location. The view- obstructed by plastic wrapped windows and no seating in a the patio space. The restaurant was cramped, tiny tables, low back chairs. I think the restaurant could have so much potential. Go to Casa Tua in Brickell for better Italian food and bypass this Cipirani. This location should be closed.

Very uncomfortable experience

By JD10 |

We came for dinner. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a nice location looking over the water. Our waiter had a bit of an attitude from the start. He was not friendly and when asking a question walked away while still talking to us. At one point we saw him rolling his eyes when someone asked him a question. What was interesting was we asked for tap water and they kept bringing bottled still and sparkling even though we didn't want it and then charged us for it. The food was very good and our server who gave us bread was very nice to us. I've gone to many restaurants including Michelin star and 5 star restaurants never did I feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome in a restaurant. I was looking forward to finishing dinner and getting out of the restaurant hence the 3 star rating.

Saturday First Communion Lunch

By Teavelmia |

Beautiful view of the bay makes for an excellent special luncheon getaway. Imagine being transported to the Italian Riviera for a couple of hours and having a wonderful selection of great dishes. It’s on the pricy side, but worth the money. The seafood was fresh, and enjoyed a great selection of desserts. The only dessert I did not enjoy was the chocolate ice cream, which tasted like frozen Jello Instant Pudding...there’s such a thing as too creamy. The servers were friendly, and worked in coordination with one and other. My main dislike would be the extremely low tables, that I did not find comfortable. Other minor dislikes are the trendy wine glasses. Call me a traditionalist, but I enjoy my bottle of wine served in a traditional wine stem glass. But I would recommend this restaurant, as a place to go for a special occasion, as the prices are high.

Did not deliver to its hype

By Jesusss |

So Cipriani is a very popular restaurant here in Miami and has a lot of hype behind it but honestly the ambiance and the elegance is all it had I was very disappointed with our food both presentation and taste. The steak tartare is barely edible it looks like they served you a slab of raw ground beef and the taste was horrid just felt like you’re biting into raw ground beef, the veal chop was lackluster and was not enjoyable at all, the mushroom risotto was hard and uncooked and was very bland and even had some sort of sharp item inside it,after stating more than twice my girlfriend had tried the yogurt ice cream the server insisted it was vanilla.... Of course it also did not meet our expectation and was not what we wanted, the yogurt ice cream that we finally got and the Bellini is all that was good and the bartender is fantastic. Really lackluster food for the great ambience and high prices the food should deliver!! Not worth it at all!

Best Pasta ever

By Fijnproevertje |

This restaurant is housed in the “Dowtown” W Hotel, the restaurant is jampacked with all the local movers and shakers and visitors knowing it’s reputation. We started with a perfect delicate Bellini ( peach pulp with prosecco) and then went onbexploring the menu. We choose the vitello tonatto good but not outstanding, followed by the farfalla with veal ragout - this dish alone is worth the trip - i will remember it for years - soooo good it was and plentyfull. We ended our diner with fresh made icecream and sugarcoated almonds. We took a great Merlot to wash everything away. So far the good and now the less good...the chairs & tabels are unconfortably low. They poor the expensive wine in water glasses...mind you that the avarage wine sells around $120 and up. It’s an expensive restaurant and they have some funny shortcommings but they are largely compensated by the fantastic food. Go!

Not worthwhile

By JustAskMe_123 |

Seating arrangement with miniature furniture was strange. Sparse amount of guests dining at prime time was notable. Food seemed pre-prepared, greatly overpriced and not desirable. A few cool folks were hoping to be seen. (By whom?) We enjoy fine dining extensively at home and during travel. This, however, was definitely an expensive culinary failure for us.

Expensive good restaurant with unfriendly but efficient service.

By FJSJM |

The food was good, mainly the deserts. The set up too crowded. Te service efficient but unfriendly. Met be I was expecting too much because of the name. Expensive for that we got

Just another Cipriani

By Splendid C |

Downright rude service. Whole restaurant empty and we were told we were late. Waiters had no interest in providing any service. The tables are nice with an ok view. The Bellinis are good. The steak tartare was exceptional as was the tagliardi with veal sauce. The rest is all forgettable.

Top Class and Genuine Italian Food and service

By wose26 |

Whilst staying at the W Hotel in Miami we ate in a number of places, but Cipriani was by far the best for food and ambience. We spent an excellent evening in this beautiful restaurant, decorated and furnished in true Italian chic style. Our waiter, Darko, ( from Serbia) was charming and helpful in guiding our menu choices and went so far as to offer my husband a butterflied chicken breast, not on the menu. The food was excellent and so delicious and plentiful that, regrettably, we had no room for dessert. Wine choices were reasonable considering the location and clientele. 'People watching' provided pleasant entertainment as the beautiful people of Downtown Miami flocked in later in the evening. Recommend you make a reservation.

Everything great

Restaurant with great location and decent view. Friendly and caring staff. Very good food and served impeccably. Top the risotto primavera. Correct price. The only flaw in the decor... very 80s.

Cipriani offers top quality everywhere

By TheGechisTrips |

Italy, New York or Bs. As, if you find a Cipriani, you’ll find top quality ingredients, same genuine Italian recipes and the kindest service. The menu in Cipriani Miami often changes, so whether you would like to try your favorite one, ask before booking if the dish is in the menu of the day. We ordered starters of salads, octopus and lobster and everything was excellent. Main courses were pastas, all of them were big portions cooked to perfection. GF choices were available too. The homemade vanilla ice cream is a must. Wonderful atmosphere, great service, clean, classy and the perfect lighting Valet parking for Cipriani customers was fast, a plus considering that it is surrounded by restaurants and bars.

Horrible Service At Cipriani Miami

By Ferrari458Spider0414 |

Visited the restaurant and thought it would be a good experience. It starts with the lady up front not acknowledging us. Not even a look!!! Hold on it gets worse.. The waiter was servicing two other tables around us. He gave much attention to a party of 4 ordering all kinds of appetizer and food... Waiter seemed annoyed when we choose no appetizers. Waiter spent all the time at the table for 4. Other than one time he never came back. He put eaten food plates from an adjoining table next to us with dirty eaten plates(How Terrible). I had to ask for the plates to be removed.. Waiter slammed us with a bottle of water we did not ask for and charged $9.00 dollars. Finally, the waiter never even brought us our check. I has to ask another server to bring it to me. He took good care of the party of 4 but he dismissed my wife and I.. Terrible service and I will never return. The New York location is far better and the service is top notch.... Good food though but terrible service.... Wont return

Great Italian sponsored by Harry's

By Bob M |

Loved the service and food; wait staff were fantastic! The food from the Italian bread dipped in extra virgin olive oil to the tiramisu was very good. Wonderful Rucola salad with cherry tomatoes and shaved Parmesan cheese; and Rigatoni alla Bolognese! Don't understand any of the negative reviews seen online. Would ignore those try it for yourself!

Always good but not outstanding

By HugoD33 |

I have been at Cipriani both on private and business lunches and dinners. This time I had reservations made but realized that the manager was giving priority to some friends that had no reservations and offering Bellinis as a courtesy while we were waiting. It was disappointing. Other than that their service is good and the quality of the food is also good not outstanding

Bad cost-benefit

By Ana Carolina |

Bad cost-benefit. Despite the beautiful atmosphere, the experience was far below what was expected for a restaurant considered a reference in Italian cuisine. I do not recommend.

Ok , Restaurant need to improve the service

By leon c |

A good Restaurant Nice place They need to improve more the service in general The food is ok The price is hi , $$$$$ Have parking Need to have reservation

Very good!

By Manuelle H |

Amazing food, wonderful view, excellent service! Restaurant that has value! We ordered buffalo mozzarella with tomato as a starter, as a dish we ordered the angel pasta with ham gratin and the veal with butter and lemon sauce! Dessert was the wonderful ice cream and pie. Everything excellent!

Great Risotto

By Manuel G |

Im fan of risotto and this in Cipriane is the best that you can eat, fine atmosphere. Great style . Magnificent view but Too expensive the salad ordered

BUONO!

By laradiva |

Very chic Italian restaurant with great service, delicious Italian food and the decor makes you feel you are inside a boat. Love this place! Bellini time!

Disaster

By Happiness390015 |

A lot of paper, small tables, you can't even put a glass, small portions, high prices, we waited an hour for the food, the ravioli looked like tracing paper, the burrata ridiculously scarce. I don't recommend it, it's a real disaster, the music at a level that you can't talk about. Total disappointment I do not recommend it, I will not return

Excellent food, efficient professional service, overpriced

By gkiriazakos |

Had delicious food, good service but the overall atmosphere did not justify the prices. Feels more like an upscale fast food restaurant. Noisy, overcrowded, and had a mistake in the check( charged twice by mistake), which hasn’t been rectified after 15days despite 3 e-mails. All things considered, Cipriani has succeeded in creating an International chain of restaurants with remarkably similar characteristics; the food is delicious, the service is efficient and professional and the flair is Italian.

A ruined birthday

By Antonina B |

We booked a table for two on January 30th to celebrate my birthday with my husband. We mentioned the occasion in the comments. When we were seated, the staff confirmed that we were celebrating. However, the restaurant didn’t even bring a piece of cake with a candle. It was disappointing and unexpected from a restaurant of this level.

I expected more than one Cipriani

By Abdemarco |

I expected a lot more from a Cipriani. I ordered an entry tartar steak that tasted nothing, then ordered a pasta with cuttlefish that was not tasty....

DO NOT GO HERE - Forced gratuity

By rexb0 |

I refuse to be given a compulsory gratuity amount AND have it hidden in the bill. I sat at the bar. 18% is outrageous under any circumstance at the bar. At $50/entrée, they can afford to pay staff and not require a compulsory gratuity that is buried in the bill with the express intent of swindling dinners into leaving even more!

CIPRIA IS ALWAYS CIPRIA

By TheItalianJob |

Nice location on the water by the canal. Cool. Classic elegant Cipriani style, baby blue white, Bellini to start. A must. Low tables. Comfy seats. My Italian choice. Never go wrong with this two. Vitello tonnato, fegato ala veneziana, gelato. Happy panda. Cool ppl around, lot of girls, vip’s. Classic. Super service. No complaints. Venice location in Italy it’s a completely different story. Cipriani Venezia is the fist the best.

Excellent Birthday dinner

By ChiefWolf |

Almost as good as its sister restaurant in NYC. Perhaps busier and louder. Very hard to hear everyone at the table (8 people). But food was very good and decent service. With a very loud table next to us, the Maitre came over twice to apologize for the noise, but it was also their birthday celebration. We’ll have to try it again with my wife to see if we can enjoy it more. Dessert was quite good.

Great gem in Miami

By Dennis S |

Ok so maybe its not the best Italian compared to other Italian great restaurants but this place has it all. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and great location. Spinach ravioli was excellent. Location is a little more challenging to find--behind W hotel, but worth the effort. No its not cheap.

Good, but far from excellent

By Azat B |

We had a lunch with my family and friends on Friday. We were given a nice table at the corner. The place isn’t big, but decorated nicely and in modern style. The appetizers were served real fast after ordering. The main dishes took longer. We ordered each a different meal, so I can judge a few choices of food here. Mozzarella was not so good. The tar tar was very bad. The main dishes were better. My veal chop was soft and good. The Rigatoni ordered by my son was nice, he ate it quickly and praised it. Gnocchi with tomato sauce which my daughter had was also praised. The wine list was fine, we ordered some excellent Californian red, I loved it. But the glass it was served in was more like a whisky glass than a wine glass, but that Cipriani’s special I suspect. Unneeded, but that’s what they do. Unconventional. Overall it is not a 5 star place and the food wasn’t to die for. We were hungry, but still were not impressed. Coffee was not bad, ice creams were nice. The valet parking is not validated by the restaurant, so you have to pay $20 for parking.

Cipriani, One of the best in Miami.

By Silver1881 |

Cipriani Miami has a good vibe as soon as you enter due to the Italian manager that knows how to great people etc. Bar is small but drinks are well done. Restaurant looks very nice and is spacious. Crowd is a mix of everything but works well. Food is very good and you will not be disappointed.

What a great experience!

By Kenneth Pages |

We went for lunch - actually not even lunch just drinks and snacks. It’s the common refrain we have at any Cipriani Restaurant. “We’ll go for a drink.” Somehow the afternoon gets obliterated. Is it the service or those delicious little frozen glasses of Gin, the craft cocktails, the snacks? Highly recommend this location. Also, a shout out to Julia - our wonderful bartender. The space is lovely and open and nautical. The food was yummy - four of us shared some Ravioli and also some gnocchi.

Terrible

By doronbroman |

Very disappointing. Fish was not fresh , tables where not comfortable.the menu was very simple considering the prices. Was here a few years back atmosphere and food where do much better

Classic Cipriani Elegance

By Conseiller99 |

We love Cipriani Miami. Beautiful location downtown on the water; great bar, service and terrific food. Loved the squash blossoms, thinly sliced mortadella, carbonara, and vitello tonnato. Italian elegance personified! Highly recommend!

real Italian gourmet

By Ricardo P |

Went for our 49 wedding anniversary, beautiful table next to the window. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We had prosciutto with melon , carpaccio of beef and real Bellinis to start our meal. We had the Branzino for two with roasted potatoes and a bottle of Pinot Grigio, delicious. But be prepare this restaurant is extremely expensive . My only complaint is that the chairs are so low that you feel like you're eating at a children's table, difficult to get up after eating .

Food OK, overpriced, poor service

By Ana A |

I am a local and feel we should support our neighborhood restaurants more than ever at this time. Cipriani's food was just ok and overpriced, Bellinis are $19 served in the smallest glass which only takes 3 sips to finish. I asked for regular water and was charged $9 for still water. Service/gratuity of 18% is automatically included on your bill. Take Uber, valet starts at $20. An amazing brand with very poor service. The staff lacks basic customer service skills. Disappointing!

Excellent

By Alan R |

One of the best restaurants in Miami. My wife and I each had the octopus salad for an appetizer - which we consider a must. I had the dover sole, which was excellent, while my wife, who has a gluten allergy, had gluten-free pasta with a meat sauce. Although meat sauce wasn't on the menu, the chef was very nice and made it especially for her. She said it was amazing and plans to order it again when we return.

An attempted rip off

By lorne g |

We visited the restaurant for a birthday celebration We expected to pay Upscale prices for upscale food beverages and service The food and service was good but what shocked us was the attempt to overcharge for the wine The wine was listed as 105 dollars on the menu We had two bottles When the bill came the waiter charged 175 dollars for each bottle ( the invoice was clear - they had charged for the correct wine but had changed the pricing ) We called over the waiter who said that he had charged the correct price but that the invoice system was “ out of date “ They eventually charged us the menu price but I suspect that this was not unintentional We notified the floor manager who said they would correct it This is truly disappointing We were never given a true explanation Question. Is this practice widespread in this restaurant ?..

Best food, service and atmosphere

By Rodner Figueroa |

It’s undeniable that Cipriani offers the best service and atmosphere for dinning experience in Miami. Not only is the staff courteous and friendly, but the food is superb and delicious. No matter the occasion, Cipriani continuous to be the perfect restaurant. It could be a date, a birthday celebration or just dinner with friends and the restaurant becomes part of the magic with its high ceilings, simple and understated elegant decor and the magnificent view of the Bay. Everything on the menus is fantastic, but when you go make sure to have the baked green tagliolini with Parma ham and the vanilla ice cream, and then everything in between.

Another Illusion - a disrepute for the Italian culinary culture

By Ricardo J |

An illusion of quality and perfection. Several and serious errors: 1) the bar, uncomfortable and poorly attended. Worse than that is not having in the wine list, Merlot by the glass, a strain that can not be absent, but they do not have it, only available by bottle. Worse still, having on the wine list by the glass, Malbec; guess good guesser; they do not have it either and when you insist that it is on the list, they tell you that it is a mistake. 2) Food, a disappointment in its quality, any other pasta restaurant is much better. A chilean sea bass accompanied by rice, which is oil-smelling; a paste in a squid sauce with a penetrating fish smell. 3) Prices inversely proportional to quality, said colloquially, Expensive and Bad. By the way, an 18% tip is self-defined in the account, without consulting the client. Onlythe place and the view is nice. Conclusion: a tourist trap.

Mediocre food, pricey and no social distancing

By Karen E |

The place is lovely but the food is mediocre and over priced. On top of that, the restaurant tends to be full and there's no social distancing so watch out. I hadn't been back here in probably 6 years because I didn't like it the last time and sure enough, it's still bad.

Shocking Experience

By Younes B |

An absolute horror. Extremely cocky manager named Marco who refused me for not wearing shoes fancy enough for him it’s a monday and I came in for lunch!!!!! I work in the industry I understand that there’s a dress code, but you cannot be rude like that! There’s a way to say things

Beyond Horrible!!!!

By Chris D |

Fine Italian dining....what a joke. This place is like eating in the lobby of the BofA building. High ceilings....tile floors....louder than a high school cafeteria. We were told”authentic Italian served here ».....clearly these people haven’t been to Italy....or at least nyc! Carlos was our waiter....don’t ask for him....He doesn’t like his job....he’s terrible at it...I think he hates people. « May I have a half order of pasta? ».....Carlos: no May I have veal parm? Carlos: no. I think he hated us when we ordered tap water....so he couldn’t get us to buy 39 dollar Evian?! Miami food scene is very lame....if you’ve been anywhere....but this place is below even Tampa....or OKC....Sardinia over on Purdy crushes cipriani. Don’t go.....waste of money...and Carlos is hateful. Ruined our night and our celebration. Cipriani...please just close....and give BofA their lobby back...it would be a better use of the space. Maybe Carlos can work security.

By Camillo R |

Outstanding food and exceptional service, management. They really make you feel like you are at your second home.

Mixed feelings

By Woodclif |

The location of the restaurant provides a good view of the bay regardless you are seated . However the round tables available look like a miniature with small size chairs ...not comfortable to accommodate 4 people to have meals around that table . Our first waiter was terrible ...Very rude since he approached the table , not willing to explain the choices available when we asked ...and he certainly does not fit to that role ... any server at a fast food chain would outperformer him . We were lucky that another server brought us the plates with the hot meals and he was very nice providing some hints of each of our orders . This second waiter was extremely attentive to our table and when we finished came immediately to offer us desert and coffee. It was funny that he was followed by the first waiter who finally decided to show up again and asked if we want to order deserts . When I said we did order already ....He looked at us with a big surprise .... and said ... What ? I repeated someonelse already took good care of us and he just walked away . The meals ( pastas , risotto and salmon ) just met the standards of any good Italian restaurant . Except for the view, it’s not a restaurant that inspire us to come back .

Best mushroom risotto in town!

By Tatyana R |

Great place for lunch, dinner and drinks. Beautiful view, outstanding service, spectacular food and selection of wine.

Superb Family Dinner

By James W |

Super meal. Superb Service. Mateo was our waiter and was outstanding! Recommend some delicious items on the menu. Plamen the General Manager was also a credit to the business. Keep up the great work everyone. We’ll definitely return. Thanks again for looking after us.

Spectacular from Start to Finish!

By HarryKHI |

Having been to Venezia 10 times and stayed as well as dined @ the Cipriani on Lido as well as Harry’s Bar and in their NYC Soho location - this was a must do! Came for dinner before seeing Van the Man Morrison performed an extraordinary show after. The waiter, support staff were all perfect and cared for every need. The wine list impressive and Bellini Bellisimo! Every item was beautifully presented and delicious! The dessert 🍮 was death by chocolate 🍫 and was spectacular. Spendy but worth it! Would return in a heartbeat!! Grazie Mille Ciao!!!

Fantastic

By Mariya M |

If you find yourself in business part of Miami visit this place! You will not regret it ,it’s true Italian experience, risotto and their key lime pie is must try

Good Italian

By RenatodiCaprio |

Good Italian food. Nice design/decor. The Dover Sole is fantastic, and understand that the pasta is okay. Nothing to write home about. The vanilla ice cream is special. Really. Look at the pics. Made as you order.

Classic

By Sergei PT |

We had to wait a bit because we had no reservation, but it was no problem at all, we waited at the bar having a drink. As always incredible service, I had the lunch menu which included burrata salad (small, $6 extra), lasagna and three little scoops of ice cream. The lasagna was a bit cold, but overall everything tasty. Pasta bolognese simple but incredible and the ravioli also really good.

Like all

By Daniel Fonseca |

This restaurants is amazing all around the world is the same service same food and it’s incredible the place of the creation of the Miami one is amazing with the high ceiling floor and the food is incredible

Good service. Nice ambiance.

By GGMM M |

The service is the best, very good. The ambiance is also very cool. But the food and many options have a lot to improve, the options are limited and basic, the flavor is not as good as the service and ambiance!

A Cipriani 'chain' Failure

By David K |

My first reaction to this Miami outpost of the famed Cipriani name was positive, since I liked the look of the room and the dress of the staff very much. It was downhill from there. The menu bore very little resemblance to what they print on their website. I was forced to begin with prosciutto e melone. The meat was in a huge blob on the plate, covering two small slices of honeydew, never seen in Italy. The ham was so bland I asked the waiter if it was 'di Parma'. He said yes, but maybe a bad leg. I still don't think it was the real thing. The 'ravioli con burro e salvia' was better, the 'svoglia' well executed. But the filling was barely there, and the grated cheese I also did not believe was Parmigiano Reggiano. Then what might have been branzino or might not. No whole fish, just some pieces of some fish on a plate. Braised fennel was bland. Then an enormous mountain of vanilla ice cream with a tiny bit of chocolate sauce on the side. I drank a bottle of Planeta Chardonnay. Bill $350. And when I left and asked them to call a cab I was told they don't come to the restaurant; I should walk a block and find one there. I walked four blocks, where the valets at the Westin helped me out. Altogether an unpleasant evening. Cipriani should have stayed in Venice.

Not impressed

By D P |

I am a Cipriani lover and this location has potentials. Although, it did not exceed or meet my expectations, fully, but I will give it a second chance next time I will be in town. Make the food more special and hire better staff. See you soon!

Distinguished Italian restaurant

By Albert J F |

Was invited to a business lunch there and I liked the place for the bright environment. I chose the daily menu consisting of speck with burrata, grilled liver with a side salad and three scoops of ice cream. My companion had the lentil soup and a lobster salad. Everything was delicious, the waiters friendly and efficient so that the entire experience was very pleasant. Loved every minute of it.

Good drinks, food really not

By Jasmina K |

Being from a country that borders with Italy and that prides in the great Mediterranean cuisine itself, we taught this might be a good choice for a nice pasta and an appetizer. The coctails were good, the appetizers not so good but tje main almost inedible (reccomendation from the waiter as one of their best pastas). Raw pasta (not al dente, raw) with an unfinished tomato sauce and two pieces of melted mozarella. I have asked for half a cup of hot water to make milk for my baby and they billed hot tea! This was removed after mentioned. Ended up paying a lot for a meal far away from satisfactory. The service was ok. Would not come back.

Highly recomended

By Camilo Salazar |

The place Is so beautiful and very well located. We had baked tagliolini, octopus salad and vanilla ice cream. Everything was excellent.

Following the tradition

By Jack Tar |

I have been to Cipriani in NY and in Mexico City Of course it follows the same style, in my opinion is to expensive for what they offer There are much better places like brio that have igual wyslity with better service and prices It is to snobbish for me

Why do people continue to eat at Cipriani?

By jokome |

I have eaten at Cipriani in Venice (once) and in New York City (several times). My only relatively good experience at Cipriani was many, many years ago in New York City, when Cipriani was managed and run well. In 2019 we ate at Cipriani in Venice and were highly disappointed. Even the Bellini was terrible! So why have I eaten several times at Cipriani? Usually because my friends with mediocre food taste like to meet to eat there. My most recent experience was several days ago at this Cipriani location in Miami. The Tuna Tartare was the blandest Tuna Tartare I have ever had! The pasta was horrible! The service was so revolting and bad it was comedic. At one point durning our lunch one of our severs (both who were distracted, inexperienced, and improperly trained young "kids") removed a half-way-full plate from one of my friends who had not finished eating. He took it away so quickly that by the time my friend said, "I was not done with my plate" the server had already placed it over other dirty dishes he had on a tray nearby. The server reacted very quickly to her complaint by removing the now dirty plate from the dirty dishes tray and giving it back to my friend placing it in front of her so that she could continue eating from it!!! Unbelievable. The only thing worth going to Cipriani is for their Meringue Cake. But then again, one would't go to this type of restaurant to only enjoy a slice of cake.

Incredible Views of Canal, Class Act

By Jerry B |

This is a class act in terms of location, staff, decor, ambiance, valet, and food. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the W building, a high-rise of personal residences. We had the Monday special. She had scallops with a sea bass appetizer. I had the veal pasta with a thinly sliced ham appetizer. We both had lemon meringue cake for desert. The Meal (NO Substitutions) is $25 each plus $6 for scallops, $76 total including tip. It's about the place, not the food. We thought is was a reasonable value considering we were in bucks up neighborhood. Great place to have a celebration. Just beautiful.

Too expensive for food and service

By Teavelmia |

The decor and bay views are great, but the food is not very good for the exorbitant prices. The chairs and tables are super uncomfortable, since they are so close to the floor. The low tables may look appealing, but my legs were killing me and I’m 5’11”, so I can’t imagine what it would be like for someone taller. The service is just good.

good as always

By tobyb1 |

One of my favorite up-scale restaurant chains and this one is no exception - I go for the liver and onions and it didn't disappoint - Service good and the waiter didn't, like so many do in the US, keep coming up and asking if everything is OK when you have a mouthful of food or deep in conversation which I find so annoying Cant wait to return

The atmosphere is very nice, the food was pretty good, vanilla Ice cream is amazing

By Marcos Lyra |

I went to Cipriani with family and a friend. Party of 4. I can say we had a very good moment at Cipriani. The reastaurant is beautiful, the place is packed with beautiful people and the food was quite good. I ate a nice pasta with gratin cheese. My mother-in-law asked for a pasta with scallops but it came too raw at first, the waiter promptly took it back to the kitchen and served a new one as quickly as possible, and properly cooked. Unfortunately, because the other servings were quite small, when the new plate came to her, everyone else was already finished. The highlights of the restaurant are the beautiful view of the canals and sidewalks and, definitely the best part of the dinner was the vanilla Ice cream, it is the dessert you have to try.

Fifth Avenue with a water view

By steveslater |

True to it’s Venitian roots, this peach Belini pouring oasis is a blend of Miami, Venice and Manhattan. The menu is difficult to navigate because there are so many mouth watering offerings. Do not miss the baked Tagliolini. It’s the right sized portion of pure heaven. Great wine offerings that are well thought out. Valet parking make it easy to visit in busy Brickell. Also, open for lunch on Sunday. Hard to find in this area.

Very average especially considering prices they have

By jupitersun888 |

We been to several Cipriani restaurants around the world. I personally think that the one in Dubai is also of a very low quality. So we came as a group of 8 people, 5 adults and 3 kids. We all ordered different dishes and appetizers. Burrato wasn't even a good mozzarella, leave alone it being a real burrato, especially when u come to Miami after 10 days in Italy with its fantastic fresh burrato. Tartar had no taste, it was just raw meat and that's it. Our friends ordered soups and the waiter said it would b like minestrone. It turned out to be like a spinach cream soup and they didn't eat it coz they don't like creamy soups. Kids ordered gnocchi and rigatoni. Rigatoni was very good and I have to complement it. Gnocchi was so-so. I ordered risotto with peas and shrimp and it tasted as if it was rather peas with rice not the opposite. We ordered a bottle of red wine, which was very good. Overall, considering that this is a fine dining and a very expensive place I would expect better quality food. Ps. Ice cream was good.

Pet

By ileana t |

The food was excellent the only negative comment I have is that the management allowed pets inside of restaurant where there are people allergic to dogs. They allowed the animals to sit at the same place where persons sit. The dogs were on the couches and staff were petting the animals.

Over priced

By Stephanie W |

Old fashioned and completely over priced. The most expensive meal whilst eating put in the downtown Brickell area. This is compared to eating at the four seasons, mandarin hotel and LPM. Rude staff with the exception of one female waitress.

Great view

By Luckydog17 |

Beautiful view of Miami river. Really a lovely setting in W hotel building. The staff up front were great but our waiter was not. No really connection and no discussion of the menu or specials for Easter . Do not order a martini - you will get vodka in a shot glass and they do not have martini glasses. The pasta we ordered as an app Rigatoni was good , he had Dover sole very nice not great and I had veal Milanese. The salad was not on veal but in a small bowl which is strange as salad does flavor the meat. The restaurant is expensive but that view is great . Maybe another waiter would have helped

Always dependable, always excellent

By mrbrkn |

My favorite by far in Miami be it lunch or dinner. Great food, good winelist and very attentive service. Best time of the year now, hurry, they are serving white truffles.

Okay. Not more!

By RenatodiCaprio |

Cipriani is really just okay if you look what your options are in Miami. The Cuban waiters already irritate me when I walk in with their “buona sera”. I know I went to an Italian; don’t expect everyone to say buona sera when you are from NY, Cleveland, or Cuba. The food is okay. The branzino is okay, but 10 times better at La Petit Maison (10 times better). The meat was also okay, but for that Fleming’s and Prime 112 are ten times better. Skip this place.

Fabulous place and one of the best meals i've had in Miami

By AllParkCityRentals |

SO glad I didn't pay much attention to the negative reviews on this site and researched and found all the positive reviews on other sites. This place was phenomenal! Everything about it was great, except for the scale the next morning.... We had the prosciutto and tuna tartare for apps and both were outstanding. The branzino fish and pasta Bolognese were excellent but the desert was even better. Homemade gelato that melted in your mouth combined with angel food cake can't be missed. My only advise is to not get on the scale in the am. Great atmosphere and service combined with a beautiful view of the harbor and ocean make this place on the top of my list for any visit to Miami.

Disappointed

By jorgedguzman |

I had great expectations about this place. Nothing espectacular. It has a good atmosphere. Its expensive. Average food. Price vrs. quality 👎🏻

International Institution

By Mlydakis |

Simplicity that evolves into perfection. With a long history behind the name this institution does not disappoint. The ambience is based upon a relatively petite dining room, but that's the allure. The clientle is sophisticated with the addition of the finance crowd. The bar made a perfect vodka martini with Russian beluga, and that complimented the best octupus I have ever had. I explained to the gracious manager how the simplicity of the dish made it so divine. It was followed by the tempura langostine shrimp. I completed this light and delicate meal with once again the best Tiramusu ever. My dining experience was short as I dined alone in the corner feeling like a International arms dealer. By the end of my dining experience I noticed the eight o'clock reservations entering with many of them being what seemed to be escorted by models. Always a sign of class and sophistication. I gave the manager my high praise as he welcomed me to a good conversation about the style of cuisine. Five Stars

“The Place “

By Margibijou |

Cipriani holds itself to the highest standard in the hospitality business. We spent the summer at the Hotel in Venice —we never want to travel anywhere but there .The staff —-the service —the food —-the ambiance —-it’s an experience . Coming to this restaurant has all the same elements from when you arrive .They treat you like their oldest friend. And the food ——spectacular . The Dover sole and branzino rival the dishes of Europe. And who can beat that cake !!!!

Stay away.

By Erica E |

A disappointment beyond belief. My boyfriend and I snagged a last minute Friday night 6:30pm reservation, and we were told it was the last one available. One would expect the restaurant to be full--but no. We walk in to see one other table. After sitting there for 20 minutes, someone finally comes over. This is our first server of the night, she seemed lovely. We ordered our drinks, no problem, then put in our food. The appetizers came out almost instantly -- as if they were sitting in a fridge ready to be pulled out. Before we even finish those, our main courses are on the table. We got whiplash from the pivot in service. The most unfortunate part comes next. We had eaten our food, had some leftovers and were drinking and chatting. When waiter #3 came by, we asked for our leftovers to be boxed, and for the desert menu. What do they do? Stack our plates on top of each other, smushing our food, then sprinkling trash on top. Yum. Guess we won't be getting that. Cherry on top? They took away my boyfriend's half full drink. I had to say "can he get that back, it's not even empty." Response? An eye roll, and the drink back. Not a new one, but the same from the throwaway tray. The food was good, but steer clear of here unless you want some truly horrible service, far beyond Miami standards.

Beautiful location

By Yami P |

This restaurant the ambience was really nice and the food was very good located in the heart of brickle downtown Miami right by the bay over looking the water . I didn’t like that when we got there and asked to sit in the booth that looked like a sofa there was no one sitting at the booths but the the gentleman that sat us down said they were reserved . We sat right across for two hours and no one sat there and the chairs that you do sit they reach your waist so you can’t really sit back and relax In fact what you do get is back pain . The service to me was ok but not outstanding the waiter took off and never brought my drink back until I saw another waiter and had to ask him for it . The price is pretty expensive but for being that pricey you don’t get amazing service. I have been to other restaurants with way better service .

One of Miami’s best

By David S |

We had a large group turn up and had not reserved a large enough table, but the staff fly into action rearranging the tables to accommodate us all onto one enlarged table without affecting other guests. The service from then onwards was equally impressive and professional. Food and wine were excellent. Recommend the squid ink risotto in particular. Decor is as per Cipriani global branding style.

Expensive/not very flexible/allowed barking dogs into restaurant (non service dogs)

By mss F |

Wife and I wanted to try Cirpiani as we heard it had good food. It was just average overall--wanted a slight change to a dish, the waiter told us no changes. For the prices we were paying they should have some flexibility (I just cant imagine they would not put red gravy on a dish-never had that experience in ANY restaurant that they would not modify it). Wait service is spotty-our waiter just pointed to the menu and said that is what we have. The waiter at the table next to us described in detail the menu items. Getting a glass of water refilled was spotty as well Prices are really high ==dinner for 2 will be over $200 with appetizers, drinks, main course and dessert. The thing that was most disappointing was that someone brought in a barking dog-this was NOT a service dog--1. Was not wearing service dog vest but most important 2. Service dogs NEVER bark unless its to alert the owner of an issue==there was no medical or other issue the owner was having--the owner was shushing the dog--the restaurant just let a dog in-I would assume that is against health codes in Miami to allow non services dogs in. When you are paying a lot of money--this is suppose to be fine dining-- for a meal you should not have to experience a barking dog inside the restaurant. There are better Italian restaurants than this.

Good food, nothing innovative or sophisticated, good service, expensive

By MaurizioGallivanting |

The place and the setting are beautiful. The menu is that of an standard Italian trattoria (among other things I'm Italian, so I know what I'm talking about). There's nothing sophisticated in the menu. Standard and traditional dishes from Italy. Nothing wrong with it, but know what to expect. Not even a gourmet sauce in a pasta or anything like that. The food is top quality. The presentation is boring and uneventful. So in the end you will be paying a lot of money for an elegant and a bit stuffy setting, very good food but nothing fancy. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable.

Rude Discrimination Experience

By Ettore Tedeschi |

CIPRIANI DOWNTOWN MIAMI EXPERIENCE - I have had one of the worst experiences at this restaurant. As a frequent client of world class fine restaurants, I have never came by such a rude and arrogant staff, who wouldn’t allow me in for lunch, in a distinctly discriminating attitude, because I was wearing shorts (Armani) with a polo shirt (Prada) and regular tennis shoes. My wife was wearing jeans and tennis shoes. Then comes this “arrogant” Maitre D’hotel, who stopped us right at the bar, informing us all tables were reserved and that we could not be seated there. To our great surprise and bewilderment, the restaurant was only at 40% full. We walked out frustrated, because every trip we take to lovely Miami, we enjoyed going out for dinner with family at Cipriani’s downtown. As it was already 2:30 pm, we had no choice but to go to a nearby restaurant called - La Cantina - which was an excellent choice, serving prime Mexican food with a very friendly service. In order to satisfy our curiosity and confirm we had just been discriminated, we randomly called for reservations at Cipriani downtown, and were informed there were tables available for immediate seating. That confirmed the obnoxious attitude that targeted us in sheer discrimination due to our sporty, but still elegant attire. Taking into account it was lunch time and temperatures exceeding 90F, that is why I was wearing shorts, one wouldn’t expect such unfriendly and rude reception. After finishing our -top notch - lunch at La Cantina we went for our car, still parked with valet located in front of Cipriani Downtown. To our surprise a couple was leaving the restaurant also wearing shorts after having their meal. I couldn’t control myself, entered the restaurant and called the manager. After detailing the entire story and naming some of my close friends who were “habitues clients” at their restaurant, the manager was all apologetic and tried to buy us free drinks to make it up for the rude experience of our trip. We obviously did not accept anything, but were satisfied by making our complaint and leaving our note here for this despicable restaurant staff. We left Cipriani downtown to never come back again!

Nice snob and expensive

By FannyGus |

Even with reservation you have to wait too long, crowded and noisy , one table very close to another, service is good , and the food is ok, just the pasta is amazing. Very expensive.

Horribly snobby

By clinicmgrMN |

We had an evening reservation after a casual business conference. When we arrive, the host informed my husband that long pants were required. He responded that it was fine and we'd leave. The host declined, stating "let me see what I can do, sir." He proceeded to leave us standing and waiting while he talked with our patrons. Meanwhile, a family who had finished dining got up to leave, and we noticed the adult Male wearing white gauze shorts. Apparently, that was acceptable, but my husband's khaki dress shorts were not. After being ignored for more than 10 minutes, we walked out. This was very badly mishandled, and embarrassing.

Great restaurant!!

I took my gf to eat last week and we enjoyed it a lot. All the servers look very professional. Paolo took care of us, he answered all of our questions and concerns. We ate grill scampi, because Paolo recommended it, and it was the best.

All the things

By Kenneth Pages |

This is our third or fourth visit over the years and Cipriani never disappoints. It is amongts my favorite restaruants (even if counting other Cipriani locations). The room itself is so expansive and with all the windows and light that is let in. Food and service are really excllent. There were four of us on this occasion and though I expressed a cocnern about the small size of the table and the amount of food and drinks we’d be ordering the server reassured me (and not in a condescending way) that he would course our meal and that everything would fit; and it did, comfortablly! We started with a round of various apps including lobster with avocado, beef tartare and octopus. All superb! I had the liver and polenta which was yummy - in fact the other guests in my party had various pasta dishes yet coveted my liver dish. we ended with pistacchio ice cream and the strawberry Millefoglie. The drink and wine menu are also impressively spledid.

for the money go to Gabbiano around the corner

By mlippman |

this is one of the most overpriced and under-performing restaurants in Miami. there seems to be a culture of simply wanting to be showy, pricey and glitzy with no real attention to fine food. the service is fine but the menu is both pricey and relatively unimaginative. the signature drink - the bellini - was tiny, mostly syrup. this is your classic place for people who want to impress someone who is impressionable. Gabbiano, around the corner is just as pricey but with a better view and vastly better Italian food

Not the best

By baba_asm |

I’ve recently been to Cipriani in Miami, and can tell you that the food is pretty good at least you don’t find hair or ants in the plate like in Quattro Restaurant, Miami. The food taste can vary, the pasta is usually delicious! The fish is pretty good and I have nothing to say on the food. Although, I have to admit that the restaurant is usually full of people, and this causes the place to get extremely loud.Definitely not the best restaurant in Miami, but still a good one!

A Little Disappointing

By citizen0103 |

It seems Cipriani’s is one of those high end restaurants where it is in part, at least about who you are. First, I didn’t enjoy our reception. We arrived early for a birthday dinner and said the name of the person on the reservation, and they could not find the reservation, so we sat at the bar and waited until our friends came because we knew they were coming. They walked through the door and they recognize The Dr. with same name we gave and they suddenly found the reservation. The service is very Good, and the ambiance is nice, but although the quality of the food is Good, the taste are not extraordinary.

Excellent and elegant Italian restaurant, but can do better!

By Roberto A |

Excellent and elegant Italian restaurant in a splendid location. We tried the Genoese pasta - extraordinary, the gnocchi - excellent and the tomato pasta which was mediocre and perhaps more inspired by Italian-American cuisine. The atmosphere is exceptional, even if there is a certain snobbery that has now been abandoned in high-level European restaurants for a more informal approach. Professional waiters, but perhaps a little colder than what you expect from a restaurant in the States (and also in Italy). All in all an elegant and interesting place, but given the price and initial claims, it still has points on which it can improve.

Delicious cuisine, great service, and miniature tables and chairs

By Miamitraveler2014 |

Had a wonderful dinner at Cipriani. Our table of four enjoyed our meal experience which started with great fireworks from the bay. We had the pasta Bolognese, frito misto and beet/asparagus salad. All was delicious and quite large. Entrees were good and included a wow scampi Langostino, sea bass with tomatoes was a stunner, branzino and filet. Each dish cane with a very large side of the menu vegetables to share. Desserts were great including the delicious homemade ice cream. Our server Danielo was quite wonderful too as was his team. We sat in the back room which is a little quieter but perhaps not as “hip” as the front room, pending your personal taste! We appreciated the fact we could bring our own Cakebread wine, but a $65 corkage was taking advantage of the consumer. Truly our biggest concern about dining at Cipriani is comfort. The miniature tables and low small chairs are just not comfortable unless you are lounging along the Grand Canal in Venice... not in Miami for a fine dinner experience. We had a great nite, in spite of the small chairs and very tiny Cosmopolitan’s! Tasty but Tiny! A fine Miami destination if you are petite and looking for a very good dining destination.

WORST EVER! Check your bill pls!

By Straveer |

This is a TERRIBLE place! I am guessing most of the people that goes to this place don’t look at their check, therefore they take BIG advantage of you, specially if you have a party of more than just 6 people. We selected this place for a celebration thinking that because of the view, ambiance and “high quality” menu, we will all have a good time but this was a nightmare!!! When the waitress started taking the orders, we told her it was separate checks and she seemed ok with it. We started getting the food and some of the dishes were wrong or had something we asked to exclude. in addition to that, the food was completely bland (I don’t think they know what condiments means). We still eat and drank and tried to have a good time even though the waitress seemed quite grumpy (too bad we had to pay for whatever she was going through) Then THE check arrived and we asked what happened with the request of “separate checks” to which she said she couldn’t do that but she could split the check just tell her how much to put on each card...here is when we noticed a couple of weird things: There was a couple of things we didn’t order, there is a service charge of 20% which is ok but we didn’t know we were paying taxes on it, ugh? and add a 8% tax...they removed what we never order and still the check was questionable. I mean, we don’t mind spending money on A GOOD RESTAURANT, with GOOD service but this was THE WORST!!! 30 minutes later and very aggravated customers, we end up paying the check! 😡 Oh and once we walked out, there was this strong smell... well, right by the door, quite a few people smoking on a NON SMOKING ZONE! Seriously??

Great views and great location!

Elegant dining room and surroundings with great views of the water in Brickell. Food is very good but not outstanding…

Homemade ice cream

By Antonio M |

The risotto is one of the best I ever tried .but the strawberry ice cream is the hero in this restaurant. Expensive but I think is for the location: high elegance.

excellent food and service

By BB1938 |

We went last Sunday for lunch, and we had sole and veal, both excellent. We could have shared, as they were ample size, so we did not have dessert. The only thing we did not truly like was the mango margarita, wish we would have ordered something else.

Excellent food and Italian manners

By 95saa95 |

I was solo and did reserve. Despite that guy at the counter was able to find me a table in a pretty crowded restaurant. I have had very generous and delightful RIgatoni Bolognese (2 dishes), a big delicious Dover sole with broccoli and large mineral water for US$ 109.60 (all incl.). Considering that it is one of the hottest spot of Miami I still feel that compared to peer pricing was at good level. Staff despite under a lot of pressure was very friendly and active. I will return and recommend it.

Pretentious, expensive and not good.

By Myrouck |

The only good thing about this restaurant was the service. Very courteous and attentive. We found the food presentation, drink glasses and utensils below expectation. Pricing doesn't bother me if and when I receive quality. One steak for $75 was certainly not expected to be served like it was (see attractive photo) with only a small saucer of oily vegetables. We will not be returning.

Beautiful restaurant, good food…. Beware of 18% tip included in check!!

By LovetoTravel |

Weird martini— served in a shot glass. Had the carrot soup which was delicious. Had the sea-bass spaghetti which was very good although would not order again. The service was great in the beginning then we had to ask for the check. BEWARE: they charge 18% gratuity on the check!!!!

A real Cipriani in Miami

By Thomas K |

After hearing bad critics we wanted to find out ourselves. This restaurant is a must! Comparable to NYC, Monaco, and London. The most charming welcome, the traditional Cipriani dishes, well prepared and even better served, beautiful decoration outstanding in every respect. So good we went three times in one week! My new Miami favorite.

Classy Upscale Italian Downtown

By Conseiller99 |

We really like Cipriani and visit every time we come to Miami. True to the brand with the portholes and top notch Italian cuisine. Swanky bar; Venetian chandelier dominating the room; great water views; excellent service. Tasty Roman artichokes and a real nice cacio pepe.

Good, not great

By bosoxberg |

Ate here the other night. Overall, the meal was good, but far from outstanding for the prices. The beetroot salad was fresh and tasted good, but $20 really? For entrees we had the bolognese $27 which was excellent and the veal chop $57 which was perfectly cooked, but over salted (and I like salt). Dessert we had tiramisu which was good and they gave us complimentary gelato which was nice. Service was good without being overbearing. The space is very small and tucked way in a corner in the same complex as the W hotel. The Uber driver actually let us off at the wrong restaurant, just ask someone where it is to avoid the wandering around. As I said overall the meal was good, but for a bill (with tip for 2 people) that was close to $300, I expect more.

Catastrophique

By natale c |

Disappointing Experience at Cipriani Miami Downtown Unfortunately, my experience at Cipriani Miami Downtown was highly disappointing. Before arriving, I received six messages confirming my reservation, yet my two emails regarding a birthday celebration for my partner’s 46th anniversary went unanswered. Upon arrival at 9:35 PM, we waited 15 minutes for our table—not a big issue. We were greeted in Italian, which was pleasant, and asked to wait, which was fine. However, from the moment we were seated, everything went downhill. • No Italian-speaking servers after seating. • Dishes were placed on the table without any presentation or assistance in serving. • We had to pour our own wine and serve ourselves throughout the meal. • The table was left dirty, with a cart full of dirty dishes just inches from us. • We received the check without even asking for it. • The birthday celebration I had planned was completely ignored. • By 10:45 PM, they were already setting up large wooden tables for the next day, creating a disruptive atmosphere. The entire experience felt rushed, and we left within one hour without even a proper goodbye. Compared to the high standards of Cipriani in Monaco or Monte Carlo, this was a disaster. A truly disappointing evening that did not match Cipriani’s usual reputation.

Expensive pasta!!

By Jose KN |

Great for people watching - not on a Monday evening, however. Small menu, expensive dishes, but the food is good. Very good service. The funghi risotto was among the best I ever had. The veal milanese is also great. And the vanilla ice cream is fantastic. all in all, an expensive evening but worth it once in a while.

Perfection! Excellence! Unforgettable!

By Jhan B |

Extraordinary in every way and then some! From the concierge style greeting, to being treated to a corner table with both the most spectacular views of the Miami River and the entire exquisitely appointed dining room, to monogrammed tea towel napkins, to a gift of a frothy pink Bellini cocktail (said was chosen to match my rose pink dress!), to servers actually from Italy - Luigi was from Naples and came complete with authentic Italian style, charm and the perfecto accent, to the most delicious seafood risotto I have ever eaten and portions that easily accommodated my evening meal and lunch the next day, every single touch was curated and considered and thoughtful to create a beautifully unforgettable experience. Thank you for making my experience so special

Wonderful night overlooking Biscayne Bay

Fantastic meal overlooking the water. We had the special Harry’s bar hotel cocktail. The pasta portions are large enough to feed two - the specials were great. We did have a problem ordering dessert but it saved us a few calories. Happy to recommemd

Dinner with family

By Paul S |

In Miami - leaving the following day - went for a stroll with parents - decided to stop by Cipriani for dinner - popped in without a reservation Plamen the GM was very accommodating to my family and I and said he would make sure we were seated - within 5 mins he made a table available. Resturant packed with several large bookings coming in. Plamen was hospitable and went out of his way for my family and I - had a long chat abt all subjects. And then... he sent over desert with his compliments! My mother was full after her meal But managed to eat most of the cake and ice cream! We frequent Cipriani all over the world, NY/ Monaco/ Dubai and live next door to the london branch - it felt like home away from home! And the pasta was amazing! Thank you guys - see you all soon.

Ok plain OK

By Pepe B |

The location and sevice is perfect. But was a little dissapointed on food quality, I am a tomato lover and asked for a tomato salad...lierally the opened the container from the market and put it onto a plate. Not good.. Main course was just ok too. fun for people watching, tons of plastic surgery, good and bad. LOL.

Valet Parking Changed Twice

By Alejandro P |

Food and ambiance excellent. However, the Valet parking charged me twice $24 x 2. I told them to credit one of the charges and they refused. They are stealing customers. Cipriani should do something about it.

Simple, The Best

If you are looking something special to eat, you have to go to Cipriani. It is amzing. After eating there, you will have a dream: "I need to come back!"

Outstanding service

By Francesca L |

Love the vibe and the service' level the Cipriani team provides. We take customers there all the time before, after or even during business meetings and people are just amazed by the treat. Marco and his management team are among the best and most experienced. Food is excellent, desserts are superior. What to eat: artichokes salad, Carpaccio, Tagliolini gratinati and (bonus) Uovo Raviolo with truffle if available.. What to drink: Bellini Bellini Bellini... and a good bottle of vine.
