Fresh Sushi

This restaurant has very fresh sushi. The miso soup is very good as well. I would recommend this restaurant to any other sushi lovers. I haven't had a bad dish at this restaurant.

Best Sushi in Atlanta

By 1965Suisse |

Maybe not the swishiest decor, not even the sexiest menu, but boy oh boy, when I want the best sushi I have ever put in my mouth anywhere in the world, I go to Circle Sushi. Uh, every week, cuz I could eat there every night if my partner would let me. The fish here is flown in from the Tokyo fish market, if I am not mistaken, and the excellence is unmistakable. Part of the excellence is that it is served at the correct temperature. Just cold enough to be cold, but "warm" enough to be so flavorful, you could eat the whole fish. Everything I have ever tried here is superb; and as a consequence, I try something new almost every time now. All raw. For those who like their culinary delights cooked, my partner won't eat anything raw, so he is the one to ask about the cooked menu items...and his review? Shall we simply say he has never left without licking his plate... The teas here are superb. (I am not a beer or sake drinker) The wait staff is knowledgeable for those of us who aren't and very eager to share their info. Lest I wax on too long, I'll close with the very salient fact that the majority of the restaurant clientele is invariably Asian.

SO so good!

By ttimeatharrods |

Unbelievably impressive. I love that in Atlanta you can get a 5 star meal in a strip mall. Circle Sushi is not fancy but we visited on a Friday night with friends and were delighted with everything we ordered. Service was very friendly, informative and helpful. We ordered pretty much the entire menu and loved every single item. Everything was fresh & delicious. In comparison with Monkey 68 in Roswell, this is hands down far superior. Will definitely return!

Friendly staff, Fresh fish every time

I visit this resturant at least once a week, need I say more! Atmosphere very good, enjoyable meal. Have never been disappointed in any of their menu items. They even make me a dish that is no longer on the menu, how much beter can it get!

Spread out fun

We were celebrating a birthday ... and spread out from other diners. Huge menu ... so we'll hope for a return visit soon. Delicious food -- and you can tell it's an establishment with longevity and a regular loyal following. We'll b back :)

Best sushi in town

By 1965Suisse |

My partner and I love this place. We go literally every week. The fish is the most fresh I have had anywhere. The Miso soup, the best. No matter what I have ever had, from sashimi to Bento boxes to Tuna and Avocado salad, I am transported by the fabulous flavor of the ingredients, wonderfully combined and prepared with wonderful service.

High Quality Sushi

By holly_g_ATL |

My family has been going to Circle Sushi for years. The salmon for salmon nigiri and shashimi is really high quality and practically melts in your mouth. The avocado rolls are delicious. The ginger salad is creamy and addictive. We love the agedashi tofu, miso glazed salmon and grilled salmon. We also enjoy the hot green tea, and green tea icecream. About 3 years ago, the price for 2 pieces of salmon nigiri was $5 (the same as Enzo which is about a quarter mile from Circle). It was then raised to $5.50 and now $6.00 at the latest menu change. Not a big deal, but we noticed it and thought we should mention it since it seems to be a trend for them to raise prices every 6 months now. They also took away their old lunch menu and the new hot dinners only include a soup or salad instead of both as they had before. Also, the service is on the slower side so you will need to be patient (especially on a Friday/Saturday night). We will keep coming here because of the proximity, but not as frequently as we used to.

This is truly best quality sushi and authentic Japanese food in metro Atlanta Freshest and most reasonable but no reservations

Best Sushi in town !

By David T |

We have been going to Circle Sushi for over 10 years. Our grown kids when back in town always have to go there so that says a lot ! Great variety of sushi and very reasonable for the quality that you get. Best in Atlanta that we have found and we have tried a lot.

Best in Sushi in metro Atlanta

By Jim L |

Highest quality fresh sushi and attentive service. Nice inside ambiance despite being in sketchy strip mall.

Best Japanese restaurant in Atlanta

By ntai07 |

I am Asian and have been going to this restaurant for years. The owner is relatively young and have very good taste (you can tell from the decor and the setting). The fish is always fresh and presentation is flawless. Although they have the creative rolls that are so popular these days, they also have the traditional authentic daily Japanese specials. My favorite is their shrimp tempura (perfectly cooked) and chirashi rice lunch. The place is located in a very obscure strip mall but it's worth looking for it if you like good (mind you it's pricey) Japanese food. Stick with the raw stuff. Besides tempura, their cooked stuff is not as good as Umezono.

I eat here weekly

By JJS3 |

The title of the review probably is the best recommendation. Great staff, wonderful food (e.g. love the quality greens in the salad), staff knows the foods extremely well and provide create advice, and an overall great experience - but this is a hard place to find unless you know where it is. This has become our favorite

Circle Sushi Is A Hidden Gem In Roswell Road Strip Mall

By bluehorton |

I have to say that I have never had a bad meal at Circle Sushi. I like to sample sushi but am not too willing to go out a limb and try crazy things. The basic items such as tuna, soft shell crab, and all rolls are fantastic. I very much enjoy the Gyoza and Shumai as appetizers for the table. My wife and I will go just for the Nabeyaki Udon which is served in an earthen pot and has udon, stock, spinich, egg, tempura, fish cakes, etc. It is unreal but you wont finish the portion! Decor is nice and always good jazz playing on the speakers. Go there during the week for dinner, you wont be disapointed.

Best Sashimi ever

By XyRil |

The sashimis there are so great especially the white and medium fat tuna. The yellow tail fish is also very great. However I would not recommand the fat salmon sashimi.

Super sushi

By intlgranolagirl |

Always consistent & delicious sushi. Some items are more authentic than the typical American sushi place like baby octopus. Never had any bad sushi here in the many times I’ve gone over the years.

Great neighborhood sushi

By Traveling Coach |

Friends have been telling us about Circle Sushi in north Sandy Springs. We finally tried it and are so glad we did. It is a nondescript strip center surrounded by Publix and large chain restaurants. However, once you find it, you will be glad you did. Seating is not intimate and it is loud in the tin roofed facility. Noisy patrons can be a bit annoying as they were the night we were there. However, the food is terrific. We had a couple of high end sakes that were served in a bamboo glass. Interesting. The sushi is fresh and nicely presented. The wait staff is attentive and efficient. And, surprise, surprise in Atlanta, it is reasonably priced, a very nice surprise. If you want sushi and are in north Atlanta, do not miss this outstanding establishment.

Good Sushi spot if you're within the area.

By jliu01 |

Circle Sushi was, "ok" to me. There was nothing that was a huge WOW factor; However it was not bad. I had the Poke and lamb chop for appetizer. The Poke was decent, the sauce was ok. However the Pork Chop was awesome! It was nice and tender, not over cooked. For my entree I had the Sashimi and Rolls combo. The Sashimi was very good quality but not the best as well as the roll. I got the Real Rainbow Roll which had Toro, which I was very surprise that they would put that in a roll. Overall this is a place that I would go to if I'm around the area. The service was very good.

Very fresh

By asmallcountry |

So far this is my favorite sushi/sashimi place. I have been here several times with family and friends. The fish is always excellent. It's the first place where I've had chirashi with a surprise piece of unagi tucked into the rice. Delicious! Don't bother ordering the rolls though - they're very skimpy and just mediocre. Service has been hit and miss. Have been there in the past where we ordered combination dinners and didn't get our rice. When we asked for the rice, the server asked if we wanted rice with the dinner. It comes with the dinner! And when it came, the rice bowls were barely half full. Really? Also be aware that they charge for tea where most Japanese restaurants serve it for free. Again, really? But I keep going back for the fish and because it's close to me.

Fresh sushi flown in from Tokyo's Fish Market

By jpjpjpjpj |

This small restaurant found in a humble strip shopping center on Roswell Road is simply amazing! The fish is flown in daily from Tokyo's famous Fish Market. They have a small sushi bar and otherwise table service. In addition to sushi (long list), they have tempura, teriyaki, and other cooked foods - so it suits all palates. Everything that I've had and tasted at Circle Sushi is delicious. And the service is great. Additionally, for fun, they have a tv on the wall showing Japanese television shows. Circle Sushi serves sake, wine and Japanese (perhaps others) beer. Very authentic and enjoyable.

Well prepared fresh Japanese food in hip atmosphere

By jl34747 |

While our short stay in Norcross, we were invited to have dinner at this restaurant by our friends who are long time regular customers. The owner is Japanese and he was courteous and was keeping eyes on the floor. Menu is impressive with variety of sushi and cooked food. I ordered Chirashi sushi recommended by my friends. It was topped with all real very fresh sashimi of several kinds including sea urchin. They were tasty and tender! You get to choose two kinds of soy sauces. My daughter ordered the bento box with three choices of main dishes. Her choice was pork shumai, sashimi and grilled fish. They were well prepared and grilled fish melt in your mouth like a butter! The interior is very modern. Service was OK and can be improved for efficiency, but friendly. Many choices of Japanese restaurants in Atlanta, but this place will be on my top list.

Awesome Sushi

By Anthony S |

By far one of the best sushi places in Georgia. Actually, it’s even better than what I had in NY City. Try the tuna toro!!! Ask for Negi Toro 👍🏻👍🏻 Very, very fresh!!!

Delicious!

By asmallcountry |

My son and I went for dinner on a Saturday a few weeks ago with no reservations. It was pretty crowded so we were seated at the sushi bar. I had the chirashi and my son had the omakase (chef's choice) bento box and box were excellent. The fish at Circle Sushi is always very fresh and high quality. Service over the years we've been coming here has been spotty but it was spot on this last time. We even got complimentary miso soup because our order was taking long! It was interesting sitting at the sushi bar too. Overall, an excellent dining experience here.

Small rolls..cheap price

By Shena |

Sushi here was just okay at best... The rolls were very tiny, which explains the low prices. Three of us ordered takeout and the bill was only $50. The host was very polite and friendly....just think there is definitely better sushi out there.

BYO sushi place steps from Steppenwolf

By Tigger1971 |

If you're looking for a great, reasonably priced meal before seeing a show at Steppenwolf and you like sushi or Thai, I recommend this place. My friend and I shared a couple sushi rolls and panang curry and really enjoyed it. They also served us some complimentary sushi pieces. It seemed they only had one server working in the small restaurant before a Wednesday night show, but service wasn't too bad. Considering the theater is right across the street and we got the bill as soon as we asked, we made it in a comfortable amount of time. As season-ticket holders, we plan to make this our go-to place for dinner before a show. I'll remember to bring a bottle of wine next time since it's also BYO.

Is this Atlanta or Tokyo?

By Pastor C |

I had gotten a tip on Circle Sushi from a local and could not wait to try it out - Totally worth the trip! The atmosphere is upscale and modern very reminiscent of the young and hip vibe you find in Tokyo these days. The sushi was some of the best I have had anywhere. Masterfully cut and dockside fresh. Now my understanding is that they get much of this flown into Atlanta from Japan every day. The reason this is important is the buyers there are just masters at picking the best fish. It was delightful. I also had some tempura soba - the tempura was light and like biting into a cloud. The broth had a nice meaty and well cooked flavor to it. The Soba noodles a very nice buckwheat taste and they retained their "bounce" My wife had a lovely teriyaki grilled salmon. This was a sushi grade piece of fish so lovingly prepared that it took it to a whole new level. This was master class preparation I would not only drive out of my way to go here I would walk barefooted on hot Atlanta pavement it was that good. Five stars with no hesitation.

What happened?

By Gloriane C |

They added more tables and made the speciality sushi rolls smaller. We have beed here several times before and was always impressed. We walked out hungry and a $70 bill.....not sure we'll be back. The service was excellent!!!

Fresh, tasty sushi

By MGastwirth |

Don't be put off by the tacky shopping center from trying the delicious and fresh sushi. The restaurant has a huge menu of traditional as well as creative hot dishes, interesting salads, and soups in addition to the numerous sushi rolls. Prices are reasonable.

Tasty sushi

By jimsandysprings |

Wide selection of lunch specials. The bento boxes, sushi, and tempura are all very good. Chefs are skilled.

Delicious Grilled Cod Fish

By PekoG |

It was hard to find this restaurant because there was no sign on the building. Chirashi Don was also delicious, which had a good selection and quality of sashimi.

Great sushi. A little pricey but worth it. Good service. The calamari is not greasy or rubbery, just perfect. Decor is acceptable not fancy.

Quick appetizers with wife

By Brook B |

We come to Circle Sushi once every couple of months. I was in the mood for sashimi so we went by. The servers are always very attentive and welcome you as you enter. WE sat at the sushi bar and were quickly waited upon. I ordered the sashimi sampler and my wife ordered the Gyoza. The sashimi was delivered with a nice presentation and teh sushi was dynamite. I like that their pieces are not so huge. You can enjoy the flavor and not feel like you have a huge chunk of fish in your mouth. My wife loved teh gyoza and it was super fresh. The owner came by and made sure we were happy. You can't go wrong with Circle Sushi!

I visited this restaurant several times. Compared to other sushi, this is super quality with good price. Best in town.

Excellent sushi

We love getting sushi on Friday night for me and my family. We went to Circle Sushi for the first time based on a recommendation of a friend. We were not disappointed. Excellent service and good food at a reasonable price. We highly recommend it.

For several years has held its own as Atlanta's premier sushi goto... Fresh succulent tasty creative... Have been going since it opened and never fails to satisfy... Keep up the good work

Our favorite restaurant in Sandy Springs!!

By ariana A |

I (and my friends and my family) cannot get enough of this place. Look for the sign on the door - there is no sign on the building. Delicious, amazing food - we love all the sushi, the udon kake soup, and the teriyaki salmon to name a few. Tempura is amazing as well (pumpkin, sweet potato, asparagus, shrimp) and they have a great ginger salad dressing. Service can be a tad slow, but everyone is super nice and the owner is always present. Beautiful presentation for excellent prices. Our go to!

Consistently Great Japanese Food

By newyorkdoll4 |

My family and I have been eating at this restaurant for years. Primarily for lunch but sometimes dinner. Sushi is always very fresh. My daughter likes the salmon teriyaki. I prefer the spider roll as well as the spicy salmon roll. My husband always has the nigiri. Staff is very friendly.

Phenomenal Sushi!

By Brook B |

I have been going to Taka for years. Taka's new restaurant is beautiful inside and his dishes are amazing. I always try the unique specials he offers. The sashimi melts in your mouth and the artistry is ever present. Dont miss this gem!

Best sushi in Atlanta...possibly anywhere!!

By TheRealGidge |

I eat here on very regular basis! And not just because it's close to my house! The food is like no other, so fresh & flavorful! The chefs are phenomenal at their craft! The wait staff is extremely attentive & friendly!! Could eat this everyday!! Totally spoiled for sushi forever!!

Yummy, Circle Sushi!

By brantleybunch |

Circle Sushi was delicious! This was our pre-Valentine's meal while were in town for the night. The sushi did not disappoint. We ordered a total of 6 rolls and ate every bite! Give it a try...you will not leave hungry!

Delicious & fresh

By AMarc C |

Circle Sushi: LIKES - Fresh sushi of very high quality; after 1-2 visits the servers remember your name and order (like tea, edamame, etc) when you sit down; the quality of the Sushi is EXCELLENT (big decision when eating sushi). DISLIKES: - no reservations (they don't take them);not that bad, but would be nice if they did.

Wholesome Japanese food

By NGriffith |

Not a large menu but the choices are good, old Japanese dishes. I love donburi and they offer it! The un-authentic Japanese restaurants don't even offer it, so I use the donburi as a gauge of authenticity. Sushi and sashimi are fresh. The sablefish/black cod and mackerel are perfect! A real Japanese restaurant gem that is somewhat of a secret. The location in the corner of a strip mall (near the Arby's) is innocuous. You have to have a discerning eye to find it. But once you do, you, too, will enjoy truly good Japanese food at very inexpensive prices.

Great Sushi in Sandy Springs

By Jennifer L |

I had a Monday night alone (no kids or boyfriend around) and wanted sushi. Since my boyfriend doesn't like sushi (even though he could order something else from their menu), I took advantage of the situation and ventured into Circle Sushi in Sandy Springs. My first impression was that the ambience was akin to a bistro in NYC - the décor is very contemporary but with a neighborhood feel. This was actually the first time I've ever eaten alone in a restaurant. I decided to hit the sushi bar - had my iPhone in hand so I knew I'd bury my head in my James Patterson iBook. The bar sits up high and the only thing I wish had been different is that my back wasn't to the entire restaurant. Guess that's fairly typical with bars though - haha. The server was very attentive to me - not just because I was alone - she was just as attentive to the young couple sitting next to me as well. I ordered a small Sake - and darn it, if they weren't out of the small carafes so I was given a large one! I did the best I could! :) Seriously though, the sushi was amazing (and I LOVE sushi). I ordered a couple of their rolls and some sashimi - rainbow roll, spider roll, and several pieces of salmon sashimi. The sushi was absolutely amazing - fresh and tasty! And, I didn't have to wait forever to get it, despite their full house. Could definitely see this as a great date night or just dinner with friends. Like I said, the ambience was contemporary yet cozy - the crowd was a mix of "girls night out," "father/daughter dinners," a table full of friends and couples on dates. I will definitely be back - this may become my fave "alone" dinner spot!! The prices were in line with most sushi places I've been to around Atlanta - absolutely worth the money!

Very good, but not as good as the reviews.

By Randy and Rusti S |

Good service. Nice employees. Edamame was limp and lukewarm. Sushi had excellent flavor. Roll size was smaller than normal, but the flavor compensated for the smaller size. The salad and the soup were both good, but marginal compared to the competition. Overall, very good, but based on the ratings, we expected outstanding!

Quality Sushi restaurant in Atlanta

By AncientMan |

They do not have street sign, but always crowded. Needless to say, people who knows about Sushi are going this place. We are local here. When we want to have sushi, we visit here. Sushi was great but we have had experience to have uncooked Donkatsu. It had pink in the middle of meat and it was pork. -1 point.

might be the best N of the Perimeter

By GeeWhy2015 |

Circle's sushi is the most authentic in terms of preparation, presentation, portions, and style that I've experienced in nearly 4 years living here. Moved from NYC, so Atlanta is a step down in terms of number of great sushi places. Circle is comparable to many in NYC. Have not had one item that's less than extremely good or great. Portions are classic Japanese, not American-sized, so expect that going in. Preparations tend to be simpler, less range of funky rolls and so on, but the quality, flavor and freshness is top notch. Each piece of fish I've had has been beautiful and fresh to the max. There are some nice options to traditional ngiri, rolls, and sashimi too.

Wonderful Sushi and Japanese 'Hideout' in Sandy Springs/Atlanta

By Mike_Adventure |

Your "not so typical" austere Japanese sushi "hide out" in Sandy Springs has delightful servers and great "clean" tempura accompanying "outstanding" noodle bowls and salads. Coupled with "supple", fresh blue fin appetizers and "spirited" uni and quail egg for the officianados, you have some flavorful sushi from which to choose. The spicy tuna and spicy yellow tail hand rolls are outstanding--especially sashimi style. Enjoy these delicacies and some of their special house rolls and you're "living the good life" with delightful servers, friendly atmosphere and excellent fresh sushi in Atlanta.

A delightful experience

By ColumbiaMDPercolate |

I wasn't that familiar with sushi, so was delighted to be accompanied by a friend who had lived in Japan for many years. Thanks to his encouragement, I tried a bowl of chirashi. The various flavors of salmon roe, salmon, tuna, octopus, and egg were exquisite. The restaurant is small, service was efficient but unhurried.

Our Favorite Place to Eat

By SpaceKittyCow |

Circle Sushi may seem unremarkable on the outside, but the food, especially the Sushi is bar none the best in Atlanta. The best Sushi dish for your money is the Chirashi bowl, which gives you a large variety of sushi for a great price comparatively if you had bought it each piece of nigiri separately. Also, there are also dishes not on the American menu but you can get sometimes when you get an omakazi dish (it's like the chef choice food). It is truly my favorite place to eat and I've been going the last three years.

Cool urban chic atmosphere but overpriced.

By jc111atlanta |

Sushi portions small and taste was average compared to other sushi restaurants I have esten at in Atlanta. Service was good.

Fabulous sushi

By Traveling Coach |

I recently celebrated my birthday and my sweetheart took me to Circle Sushi. So glad she did. It was outstanding. This inconspicuous establishment is located in a strip shopping center and the sign in front says only, "Sushi." This understated place is well worth the effort to find it and dine there. It is a wine and beer only bar but they have an excellent selection of sake, which we enjoyed with our meal. We started with tuna carpaccio and it was outstanding. We followed that with a couple of rolls including a Super Crazy Spicy Tuna Roll (clever name) and a Spider Roll. Both were out of this world. We followed the starters with sushi and sashimi and it was outstanding. Service was terrific and fast (not always the case in sushi restaurants). We topped off the meal with uni (sea urchin) which was quite fresh and tasty. The secret to good sushi starts with fresh fish and every piece we tasted was fresh and, well, perfect. And it is affordable. Sushi in Atlanta has gotten so expensive but not here. Very modest pricing and great value for the money. Do not miss this lovely place. No wait on a Saturday night and plenty of Oriental patrons (always a good sign). We will return and look forward to our next visit.

Fresh fish and great service, what's not to like?

By Tad L |

My wife and I ventured north to Roswell to see first-hand what all the fuss is about. Bottom line: we were not disappointed. We had heard that Circle Sushi was on the pricey side, so were pleasantly surprised to see fairly reasonable menu prices. We ordered a sashimi assortment to get started, and it was delicious. My wife is Japanese and can be a bit snooty about sashimi, but we both thought everything on the platter was exceptionally fresh and delicious. Chef Yuki and his crew did a particularly nice job on the Aji no Takaki, one of our favorites and a good measuring stick for a sushi restaurant. We followed up with some nigiri, an eel roll, some tempura, and a couple other dishes, and nothing disappointed. We also received excellent service from Daisy, who always seemed to be right at our table when we needed something, without being intrusive. To cap it all off, the check was less than we were expecting. Overall a great value and worth the 30 minute drive from the city. We'll definitely be back.

Always delicious, good variety, well priced. Not too filling. Baby Octopus appetizer is wonderful!

Always Awesome without ITP prices

By Mike L |

This is one of our two go to Sushi places (the cooked food is also awesome). Friends inside the perimeter drive up because they can't believe how great it is especially considering the pricing.

Excellent

By Mary M |

We use to go there to dinner. The place is a little cold but the dishes are delicious, very tasty. The servers polite and kindly. Good quality-price

Neighborhood Gem

By Jonathan Ehrlich |

Located in a non descript Publix shopping center just south of where Roswell Rd. crosses the Chattahochee, it's difficult to find since the only sign is on the glass door not on the shopping center building. My advice. Make the effort. Circle Sushi is one of the finest Japanese restaurants in Atlanta. Specializing in Fish generally and Sushi specifically, it has a large Japanese and repeating neighborhood clientele, evidence that they know what they are doing. The Donburi (bowl of rice covered with eel or fresh sushi) is my favorite while my wife favors the Blackened Cod which is always moist and tender. The sushi and rolls are excellent.

Hidden Gem

By jaime w |

I must have been in this shopping center so many times without knowing it's there, because there's no sign. They had great quality fish and some yummy sushi rolls, definitely worth the trip!

Can't Go Wrong Here

By vegamax |

Beautiful presentation of traditional Japanese food. Wonderfully fresh Sashimi, Nigiri, and rolls. The hot dishes are wonderful too. Bento Boxes come in 3 or 5 item choices along with soup and salad. You can't beat this place in the Sandy Springs area!

Favorite Sushi Place in Atlanta

By kim m |

There was a bit of a wait to be seated as we came in at a busy time, should remember to go for dinner earlier here to beat the rush! We ordered the large mixed tempura, chirashi don and double crunchy roll. We were happy to have been served the hot entrée first with miso soup as our tummies needed the heat. Unfortunately, it took a much longer time for the rest of the order to arrive. But it was truly worth the wait. Chirashi is my staple order to gauge the freshness of the restaurant's fish and theirs blew me away. There was not one bad fish! Everything was good, especially the toro. Their Japanese rice and green tea truly tasted authentic. And then I found that they order their fish from Tsukiji Market itself which is why is tasted that good! The roll was fantastic too! After we finished our meal, while raving to our server about the meal, she did apologize again about the wait earlier and offered us dessert. I already had my eye set on coffee jelly and my husband had green tea ice cream and thoroughly enjoyed it! We took home sashimi as it was THAT GOOD. Definitely the best fish available in Atlanta! If you take Japanese food seriously, you have to come here!

Tasty

By R-dizzle41 |

The food here is terrific. The atmosphere is about average, and it is a little bit pricy, but for sushi this delicious, it is defiantly worth it.

1st class, quality ingredients sushi

By connie m |

someone recommended I go here, because of the quality, and freshness. went with family, they all had a variety of raw sushi. I was impressed by the top quality of the seafood. I had miso soup and mackeral (cooked) which was excellent. portions are small, and the food is light, tasty, and of very good quality. -so you definitely feel great afterward, the best sushi in Atlanta I would say.

wilted lettuce, warm raw fish, and slammed salad bowl

By bobbie f |

lettuce in the salad was wilted, bruised, and had no moisture on it as if they were the outer layer of a lettuce head and had not been washed. When pointed it out to the waitress she told it back but slammed it on her tray with an angry look and not a word. the rice come with the bento box was just a quarter filled. the chicken teriyaki was dry and bland as if it were boil in water and have sauce put on top. tempura with vegetable had two small shrimps and get this: one skinny string of green bean and one about one inch long very thin strain of asparagus or some green looking thing. The $18 "B" lunch chirasi had warm rice and the fish were room temperature warm--not a good sign for raw fish. the sushi rice was tasted like plain rice. The other waitress, who was much nicer then the one who slammed the salad bowl, was sneezing the whole time. I saw the third waitress who used her hand to touch her noise right before serving us our sushi. what do you do? do you not eat the sushi? we didn't want to be rude. then we were curious what the health score was and could not find it posted anywhere. check on line--after we ate--it was a 82. the previous two score were also in the 80's. now we know why.

Not Bad, Not Great.

By palletsu |

The restaurant is cozy, but only one bathroom stall worked. I ordered Omakase sashimi, and was disappointed with the kinds of fish served..., I usually get the best and rare fish with Omakase but Circle Sushi' Omakase had the usual Sake, hamachi, snapper; they did have some beautiful o-toro which melted in my mouth. I have a great love affair with Uni which was included in my Omakase, but it was not fresh at all.., even the color was brown/back, and when I inquired about it, the owner tried to tell me that is because this particular uni was from Hokkeido...,really?? I frequently eat Uni from Hokkeido and they are beautiful in color and their nutty taste in unmatchable by Californian Uni. I hated the owner gave me such lame and a pathetic excuse for giving me basically rotten Uni..., I had high hopes for this place because some of the most highly regarded Japanese Sushi Chefs frequent this place, but I guess unless you are a Japanese, one will not get the top notch treatment. O-toro saved their day for me, so I may just give it one more chance before I give up!

Yo!

By DCJetsetter2011 |

This was sushi with an edge. We had the bacon fried rice, and it really made me remember why bacon is so awesome. Then I had a bacon sushi roll that was amazing. Really good experience.

Average

By GOP2016 |

Not very busy being the Friday before the 4Th of July but took forever to get a salads delivered. Cucumber salad was watery and tasteless. However the salad was not the only products that was on the tasteless side as our sushi all tasted the same. Portions were probably in line with prices. Wasabi not brought to the table due to wait person thinking this white guy in his sixties would not want.

Always Consistent

By Kifisiotis |

I visit Circle Sushi at least twice per week. The food is always consistent and their Sushi selection is a real treat. I do order a variety of items and I must say that their Tuna Carpaccio appetizer is one item I order almost every time I have dinner. Shrimp Sumai is another personal favorite. The rolls are equally tasty with a beautiful presentation. Their Chirashi bowl is delicious however they do have two different ones. I believe the rice and the fish quality on the more expensive Chirashi bowl is far superior from their basic one even though I do like both of them. On the winter time one of my favorite dishes is the Tempura Udon bowl.

THE place for sushi in Atlanta

I will be honest, after travelling to Japan in 2009, ever since, I've been very picky about my sushi. With that said, as soon as I heard about this place from my Mom and she said this was the place most Japanese residence went to get their sushi fix, I figured the place was legit. It's a pretty small set up, larger than most of my fav sushi places in the US, but by no means huge like most chain restaurants. The service is great and the sushi is top notch. I don't even go to any other sushi places anymore in Atlanta, I just come here any time I'm in town. It's convenient now that it's up the street from my family's new house! A typical meal for me is Jasmine Tea, a selection of three rolls, miso soup, and edamame. Every time I come here, that is just enough for me to be satisfied but not stuffed. All there selections, even the cooked portion of the menu is very well done, you can't find a better place in my opinion.

Great Japanese food in a calm and pleasant environment

Such beautiful sushi and a wide variety! They also have other favorites like teriyaki and tempura for those who don’t enjoy sushi. The atmosphere is very pleasant and staff are friendly.

Supeb Chirashi Donburi!

By Sonnymao |

This small unassuming Japanese restaurant, tucked away in an ordinary strip mall along Roswell Road; has attracted a loyal following through the years, myself included. So when I had a rare chance to visit Atlanta eight years after moving back to L.A., I couldn't pass up the chance of eating at Circle Sushi. Everything that comes out of the kitchen and the sushi counter is insanely delicious! But the one dish that I always come for, is the Chirashi Donburi. Layers of fresh sashimi, tamago, salmon roe, finely cut daikon radish and a dollop of fresh ginger are piled on top of a bowl of exquisitely vinegared rice. There is a treat waiting as you go through the bowl - towards the bottom of the rice bowl is a slice of fatty unagi with a teriyaki glaze! This is one dish I can never get enough of! Overall, Circle Sushi is one of the best Japanese restaurants that I have ever been to!
