It was so bare bones and cluttered that it was cool really good beer. The employees were very nice. Clientele was a good mix of locals and tourists.

Nice, simple and very good beer. The people who attended were very attentive to explain their products and recommend according to their tastes. A place I'll come back to... highly recommended.

If you’re either a) a hipster or b) looking for a pretty good pint of beer (or both) come to this place. Funky names of beers written on paper denote your choices - I went for “happy little clouds” - a dry hopped Pils and it was actually refreshing brew. Post up amongst spartan furnishings and soak in the vibe

Bare bones and rustic warehouse chic, but excellent beer. Quality of product is very good, and the range of options is impressive. Taste and pricing very good. However most beers offered had little clarity (not really important unless you care) and individual challenges. Good for You Stout was good but had too much coffee flavor. Eeee IPA hop bill is a bit too complex (location simple, beer complex). Enjoyed the Guest Cider for its Marionberry flavor. Ultimately, simple atmosphere where they are trying to work complex beers - a credible effort, but it might be better to keep the recipes simple.

We were fortunate. We were visiting for only one day in Seattle pre-cruise and it was one of the rainiest days in Seattle that year; so we were told. People were out and about; but probably not as many as you would expect for peak-season time of year. We spent quite a bit of time eating our way through the market; and eventually wanted to grab a beer. Cloudburst was on our list as, hopefully we have this correctly, this is the former brewer from Elysian. We found the place after walking around - and realized they didn't open until 2pm. We walked around some more; and returned to a short line to enter at 2pm. Grabbed our beers and a table overlooking the street - super easy. Holy cow these are GREAT BEERS! My husband won't stop talking about them, and we are sad that we couldn't return post-cruise (but they don't open that early). We each enjoyed two different beers off of their list; and thoroughly enjoyed each one. We then overheard another visitor say that he has been trying to get into Cloudburst for three days - but the lines were so long and the place so full, that they gave up. He returned on the rainy day and was actually able to get in! We simply had no idea. We will definitely return when we are in Seattle! Highly recommended...

This is a great low-key brewery! They’ve got tasty beers with fun names for reasonable prices. Plus, it’s far enough from the Market to be mostly locals enjoying happy hour but close enough to feel as though you’ve discovered a little gem right in the heart of everything.

We went to over 15 breweries on a recent brewtrip to Seattle. This was, by far, the standout. I'm not talking the pared-down industrial garage with no windows-- we weren't there for the decor. I'm talking BEER. Every style I tried here was a credit and a revelation, from the nuanced SMSH to the bitter yet many-layered DIPA to the velvety stout. No, there's no food here. No, you can't bring kids (or anyone under 21) here. But it's a beer bar. You're here for one reason: to drink good beer. If you don't want to drink good beer, this is not the place for you. If you want to drink amazing beer, you can't miss this place. They DON'T do tasters or small beers, so either plan to visit a few times (we came back THREE TIMES IN TWO DAYS) or bring friends who will be willing to share so you can try them all. They DO allow outside food, so bring something in to keep you going (like a grilled cheese from Beechers, right down the street). They have about 8-10 beers on tap at a time, they do have growlers of some available, and they do take credit cards. If you like beer, you should check this place out. If you love beer, you can't miss this. If you don't like beer, why are you even reading this. Go have some milk.

We stopped in here and there wasn’t any tables so we ordered one beer and left. It was a neat place and employees were nice.

I tracked down the taproom after sampling a few options at better bars around Seattle and I wasn't disappointed. It's a no frills experience, which is perfect. I sat on a stool next to the tanks, watched a little baseball and sampled some damn fine IPAs. I didn't have enough time to try more than a few but everything I did try hit the spot.

A friend recommended this place and we decided to hit it up right when they opened when starting our own brewery tour day! Glad we were in line because we were one of the first tables in. Would I want in line again, probably not haha. The beers were fine. This is an industrial building so nothing fancy. If it were warmer and not freezing with door open, I might have enjoyed it more.

My goal this week was to have 100 new beers while visiting Seattle. I've been to as many breweries and bars to try everything I could find. Today, I found this best in Seattle. If you are an IPA fan this is the only place that serves an outstanding IPA. Everyone other IPA all tasted the same..these guys are different and in a good way.

Cloudburst brewing is a micro-brewery in the heart of Seattle with a small pub. I went there with some friends on a late saturday morning in May 2017 after exploring Pike Place Market. There were a lot of locals drinking a beer in a relaxed and nice atmosphere. The beer we ordered tasted great and the lady at the bar was very friendly and helpful. I can recommend going there having a nice craft beer!

The run-down, spartan, hole-in-the-wall taproom serves some of the best beer in Seattle. They have an amazing variety of top-quality beer featuring some fantastic hoppy treats. I wished I could have spent the entire day there.

The brewery has been open since January. A short walk from Pike Place away from the crowds. It open at 2:00PM. Got there a little before 2 and there were people already waiting. When you taste the beer you will understand why. Nothing fancy but all you need is a place to sit and good beer. Cosmic Lust IPA is the best.

Hey, it is what it is - a brewery. Roughly finished warehouse space with a few cheap chairs and tables at which to drink pints. The fermenters are right over there, and beer fermenters need to be kept cool so ... I really like the double IPA. Spruce and grapefruit notes. Great balance. The smoked Helles was interesting. Smelled very smokey. Tasted seductively sweet. Not me thing, but interesting.

I always get a sense of "day is done" feeling at Cloudburst. I enjoy it. Almost welcome it. To walk in no kids. No young families. Just working people taking a break before hitting the ground running again. Ah, the beer is great! I have a hard time downing IPAs but they amazing stouts, and sours. I love the creativeness, using the giant rolls of brown paper to write the daily options and tastings for the day. Since I've only ever been there for winter.. bring or wear layers. It's drafty and not too much heat drops down from the hanging heaters. I have to say they did a great job and I'm excited to go back this summer!

This brewery is set in a building by other different businesses. We stopped in for a couple of beers prior to our dinner reservations. It was pretty busy for a small place, definitely appeared to be a locals favorite. The beer was good. They only have two bathrooms and one small bar set up.

This is one of the crappiest breweries I have ever been to. The place stinks of floor cleaner and the bartender was rude and looked like a miserable human being. She made our experience here really awful. A smile and a nice tone go a long way and this lady looked like something smelled bad the whole time. Not even a good tip, which she in no way deserved, got a smile or a thank you out of her. We quickly finished our beers so we could get to another brewery with good vibes. The beer was just ok and no flights are available.

This was an unexpected find that ended up being one of our favorite spots during our Seattle trip. Casual atmosphere, and great beer. We were really impressed with the oatmeal stout.

Was recommended Cloudburst by a couple of locals I’d met. Didn’t disappoint, staff were friendly (some other good recommendations from Ryan) enjoyed the Aw Shucks Stout in this cold weather too. Will definitely be back next time in Seattle🍺👌

Stopped by this brewery last week while in Seattle, SO GLAD I DID! They had 5 different IPA's, 2 incredible stouts, a saison and a couple other brews. Met some really cool people who were definately passionate about micro-brews and the staff was great. You must try the Chicory Coffee Stout, it was amazing.

This brewery was a lot more industrial than I expected, but it was super cool! Small but lovely little place with tasty beers. I only wish I'd stayed longer and tried more stuff.

Small taproom so finding seating can be tough. Beer was okay, didn’t find anything that wet my palette enough. Really wish they did flights. Their hazy ipa isn’t bad, though.

We went to a few breweries while in Seattle and Cloudburst was our favorite. A bit of a whole in the Wall feel which we like and a fun evcironmebt with friendly staff.

Stopped here for the first time. Thought the beers were good. Had a good selection between IPA's and Stouts. This feels like you are in a warehouse type atmosphere but didnt bother us any. Should be able to find some sort of beers that you like. Service was good but was very busy when we came here in the afternoon.

We stopped in to Cloudburst Brewing for an afternoon beer. The place was great - lots of good beers on tap and really busy. Definitely a good place to go on a sunny afternoon. Great people watching. The Pilsner was really good.

Funny little location, originally a house stable way back in its day. The brewer mister was from Elysian before that was bought out by Budweiser. The beer may be the best in Seattle. It’s only a short walk from the end of Pike Place Market. Astedics - forget it it !you sit in the brewery that is narrow and without view but the beer - wow !!!!!! This is the specialty micro brewery of Seattle. The Pike Place micro beer tour: start here, backtrack to stove pipe brewery - good beer with off the chart views (middle of Pikes market), last micro brewery is Pike Brewing company - nice beer in brewery with large pub astedics (after check out gum wall in post alley)

Small and funky venue for great beer. Especially good IPA. Temp inside is what's outside so dress warm in cold weather when we went but renovation in progress.

Cloudburst is located in an old, renovated garage. In decent weather, the door is open and the place has a fun and casual vibe. But the reason to visit is the beer, which is truly exceptional.

Good variety of crafted beers. All the brewing equipment is on site. Including the hops bags. Good service. Friendly atmosphere.

We stopped by the other night for a few drinks. The beer was good and the servers were friendly. They had a nice selection of IPAs, a pumpkin beer for those that want to be festive, and they also had wet IPAs which are lighter for those not that into the strong hoppy flavor. It was easy to find a place to sit and chat, but the place was full and had a nice energy. I will definitely return in the future.

This spot is where the locals go for craft beer in Belltown, techies and non-techies alike. Along Western Ave., off Lenora, it is crowded, noisy, raucous. No frills, very good craft, and some funny names among the choices, like Current Mood, described as an American Style stout, and Not My Favorite, High End Portfolio, an IPA(not to be confused with an IPO), Standard Operating Procedure, another IPA. Good stuff

Short walk from Pike Market on the way back to our room. We needed a refreshment and this was a great place to stop! Very comfortable, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Beer was great!

This is everything you want in a local Micro Brewery; fantastic beer, great location, great ambiance and great bar tender. We read the owners/brewers came from a well established high quality Micro Brew that was bought out by one of the big ones and it shows. The beer was one of the best we have had and all customers while we were there were very happy with what they were drinking. This reminds me a lot of Redhook when it was first established 30ish years ago and look at how they grew with great beer. A few helpful hints: no kids (21+), no food (we hear they have food trucks once in a while and there are several places nearby in Pike Place Market), no samplers (they are just too small right now to mess with the glasses.....but if you are interested in a certain beer you can get a taste first), and we heard Saturday there is a line up to get in (we were there Sunday and there was a steady flow of customers)

Fantastic beer spot in Seattle. Very inclusive atmosphere. beers were out of this world. a must stop for anyone who likes a great ipa

This place is a hidden gem just a block or so away from the craziness of Pike Place Market. Stopped in to escape the summer heat and was pleasantly surprised. Not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Great atmosphere. Nice place to reboot.

Tasty beers, good vibes, and a fun crew of people working here. I'm thankful that we swung by this place on our visit to Seattle!

True craft brewing. Quirky atmosphere, good beer plain and simple. Just the way it should be. Helpful staff. Comfortable seating. I hope to return. If you like unique beer this one has to be on your list.

Darn tasty craft IPAs and a delicious Porter at Cloudburst's new location in Ballard. With COVID-19, reservations on TOCK are a must at the new location. Also, a food truck embedded in the outdoor area serves decent small plates (rice bowls, etc.). I love the friendly vibe and quality beers! Cheers!

Ha wit an average rating mostly because the set up is tough. It’s small and oddly set up and there are limited places for seating. Probably our fault for going on a weekend day when the weather was awesome. Beers were good but we just didn’t want to stay long as there was nowhere to stand and put your beer.

Stopped by this brewery on our way to dinner. It's definitely an industrial setting, limited seating (7 in our party). But who cares, the beer is great. I had one of their IPA's (don't recall its name). It was delicious. Fun stop!

My husband and I are in Seattle on our honeymoon and were just refused service. We were asked for ID despite very clearly being overage (38 and 30, and unfortunately we look it). We provided ID but were told we couldn't be served without passports. Absolutely daft!

High Quality! Great staff who deliver a cool vibe. Try the Heaven is a Place in Earth IPA. All the beers are brewed here. Super mellow and tasty.

Great beer in a cool industrial spot. Very friendly and fast bartenders. It was crowded when we arrived (late Friday afternoon), but the crowd was laid back.

A new brewery (Jan 2016) in downtown Seattle. Near the Public Market. Good beer in a quaint location. Another plus for the small Brewers of Washington. Keep up the good work!

Great little hole-in-the-wall place just off the busy areas of the Market. The beer is really good and they are constantly rotating.

Got to sample their Citra IPA, Double IPA, and Market Fresh (berry infused saison). All were excellent & the place was hopping. They also had no problem with us bringing in food from another place to eat there. Would definitely come again!

Simple and easy Great beer selection $6 a pint. Busy busy busy so prepare to queue to be served Not a big place so seating is limited but defo recommend a visit

Stopped here after dinner, as it was on my list of must do’s in Seattle. Was not disappointed. No frills, no a/c, open air with some tables, the big steel brewing vats right there. Loved my Happy Little Clouds dry hopped pils, while my family slipped on the Czech Pilsner Pozor and Life’s Finer Moments coffee porter. An enjoyable place, dog friendly.

This review is the easiest I have ever made. Seattle arguably makes the best craft brews in the US, and the best craft brews in Seattle are coming from Cloudburst. I live in Seattle, have tried almost all the excellent brew pubs in Seattle; but my go-to place that I keep coming back to is Cloudburst. It is really unique. Since the selections constantly rotate, it is easy to find that you haven't had a single selection on any given day. Last week, I stopped by and had a citrus infused beer called Menehune, and wow, what a shock of flavor. Just an excellent beer. So, for anyone visiting Seattle and looking for a unique beer experience, there are many choices for sure, but Cloudburst tops them all.

We stopped during our stay in Seattle pre cruise. Traveling with three children in their twenties we decided checking out brew pubs would be interesting on this trip. Liked this one so much we stopped again at the end of the cruise when we stayed one more night before flying home. Loved how they made us feel right at home with their take on blueberry ale compared to our blueberry ale at home--this was one of our favorites--not many seats but everyone friendly and willing to share counter/table space. Good spot!

On our Seattle visit we had Cloudburst on our 'must visit' brewery list, and it was so well worth it. Unpretentious. Comfortable. Friendly. AND an excellent selection of delicious beer. We really loved this spot A LOT, and if I was a local this would be one of my regular hangouts. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Basically, a wearhouse or like a garage, but great selection of beer and a lively atmosphere. Order at the bar and grabs seat.

This is a fun place that has a very simple yet clean space. the space reminds me of a long garage with high ceilings that someone threw some small tables and chairs in, them built a bar in the back. Oh yea, it's also attached to a brewery. I'm not a big IPA fan, which at times makes it hard to drink beer in Seattle. Land of the HOP heads. I had a stout, which I liked, but it was a little bitter for my taste. If I go back I'll get something else. My wife had a "Belgian" style beer, which we both agreed it tasted more "German". I had a lot of banana flavor, but lacked that "flower" flavor that so many Belgian beers have. It was good beer and we both liked it.

We tried many beers while in Washington and while most were good, none of them stood out or dazzled us until we got here! The IPA's are nicely hopped and smooth and juicy, the stout we had was also excellent. The brewery/taproom is very small and gets quite crowded on a Friday afternoon/evening but people come and go so we got a place to sit shortly after ordering. They don't do flights but they have 10 oz pours and will let you taste something if you're not sure. There is no food so bring your own if you want a snack (I'd recommend stopping by Piroshky Piroshky on the way and grabbing a savory stuffed pastry...or two).

Not the largest selection. Only about 10 beers on tap at any one time. Just one or two to choose from in each category (several IPAs, a stout, some fruities, some pales). If you don’t find one you want, you’re out of luck. As the title indicates, the atmosphere will appeal to some but not others. Some like that warehouse feel.

Cloudburst's tap room is fairly minimally built out -- even in comparison to the other small warehouse-based breweries I have seen around town. An article I read mentioned it was "It’s free of frills like food (or heat)". But I think they did a pretty nice job with the old warehouse space and loading dock. The tap room has a small bar with the beer menu creatively listed on spooled brown butcher paper. There is a smattering of tables with vases of flowers, nice red metal chairs and barstools and some exposed filament single bulb pendent lighting. The old brick and block is largely covered with painted wood panel and wallboard. They left the thick ceiling and wall beams unpainted (or with old peeled paint) I guess to keep a bit of the old warehouse character. I love the old warehouse spaces. They seem emblematic of a beer-loving city that still has world class brewers with creativity and drive who don't need tricked out spaces as much as functional spaces in which to produce. The beer is the draw. And Steve Luke fits the bill. He was formerly the head experimental brewer at Elysian. Cloudburst has ... well ... burst onto the scene with beautifully brewed offerings that are impressing the beer-geeks in a city where there is an abundance of great beer. It was very crowded when I was there in part because Luke has been getting press like "most promising new head brewer." But being just beyond the northern edge of Pike Place Market certainly must help. Expect gridlock crowds in the tasting room by this Summer. Cloudburst is heavily featuring big time pales and IPAs, but they always seem to have a great stout on tap plus a saison. Some of the current offerings are their House Guest IPA -- a Pacific NW style with Chinook, Amarillo, Simcoe, and Centennial hops; the Darkenfloxx -- an imperial stout with coffee and hazelnut; and their Punch Drunk Love - a strong pale with sweet cherry puree and pineapple juice. I had a couple drafts: their always changing Market Fresh Saison and Happy Little Clouds - a dry-hopped pilsner. A couple things. Good staff. Personable and patient despite the crowds. Little seating. Prices are competitive with the market. The space is on the East side of the street just across from the triangle with the umbrella sculpture where one way east and west bound sides of Western diverge.

A quick trip to Seattle seeking out hoppie golden nuggets. For east coast IPA fans, this was a home run. Informal tap room & packed with many locals. Hazy Daze at CloudBurst! Well done to the Brew Master!

We walked 30 minutes to get here to find they wouldnt accept our full UK EU based drivers licenses as ID. Avoid if you're international and not carrying your passport.

We visited, late (after 9) on a Saturday. The other patrons were very friendly and the staff was very helpful. This was our favorite brewery - beer wise - that we visited in Seattle (we went to 5).

Maybe I just hit the timing wrong, but really enjoyed the industrial vibe, but the noise from all the construction next door really was loud when I was there. But on a positive note, the flag guy with the construction crew pointed me in the right direction. All that being said, its a small place, and seating is limited. You gaze out onto the brew tanks, it is fine with me, but it isn't a place for views or to watch the world go by. The IPA was definitely better than the stout; I tried all three IPAs and each had distinct character. I'm a huge lover of stout, but this was just didn't have any character to help it stand up. Definitely worth the visit and I'm proud to support the local breweries, that's the beauty, next time I may find the best beer ever. Support your local breweries folks, you have some good ones in Seattle.

Have visited breweries around the country, this was the first one we've encountered that wouldn't allow children at all no matter the time of day. Sign inside clearly says no babies. Obviously, can't say how the beer tastes.

New taproom featuring star brews from Steve Luke, late of Elisian. Quality all the way. Fun atmosphere, awesome old building, good service. This is going to be the coolest place in Seattle to chill with a fabulous brew.

Walked by this place on the way to Pike Place Market. Found a table and checked out the beer list. Saw a Porter that looked interesting. BOOM Roasted ...cold brewed coffee infused Porter. EXCELLENT. Coffee does not overwhelm but smooths everything out to a very balanced, robust but not heavy porter. Try it out. Sits in the shadow of a tall building at Elliot and West ern. Don't be off put by the look of the place. It's a work in progress, but the beer and atmosphere are worth the visit.

We spotted this little brewery on our way to breakfast and knew we had to come back at the end of our day. The No Babies, No Kids sign sold me! Lots of seating, good reading in the bathrooms, and great beer. I had the Happy Little Clouds Pils and my companion had the Sweater Wetter. We were both pleased and wished we weren't so full from our previous events that we could have tried another round. This place is on my list of places to return next tiem.I make it out to Seattle.

We stopped in for a quick one. Great beers and great environment. Glad we stopped. We'll be back for another visit.

We stopped in, appropriately enough, to get out of a rainstorm. I am not much of a beer drinker, but they had a varied selection that included some lighter fruit beers that were excellent. The seating area is literally just some stools and chairs set up in their warehouse--no frills, but that's what made spending an hour hanging out here so much fun.

My husband and I stopped by here after journeying through Pike Place market. Cool little micro brewery - great IPAs and very reasonably priced!! Definitely a simple, no frills place. Seems like a popular spot for the locals for good reason. So glad we found this spot. The only negative thing I would say that there was only one person working at the bar and the wait was fairly long - but worth the wait.

Another hipster joint, but I like that it is so close to Pike Market without being touristy in the slight bit. Good beer, but most of the seating is relatively dark in the back of a warehouse feeling space. I scored one of the few spots in the sunny area up front.

Annoyed at fancy brew pubs not being authentic enough? Come here and enjoy some cold ones. The sign outside says it all: 21+; Beer; Beer; Beer

I don't get the love being heaped on this place. We did a bit of Google searching while in Seattle, hoping to find some stellar local breweries to hole up in for the weekend. Cloudburst was high on the list. We stopped in late on our first night. The joint was packed, with nary a table to sit your weary bones. We got in line, placed our order (Ghost of the Great Owl for me, Good For You for the hubs), closed out our tab (they were only open for another 30 minutes at that point) and headed towards the front in the hopes we could find somewhere to post up while we drank our beer. I need to start tempering my expectations for pumpkin-flavored beers. Or, for beers claiming to be pumpkin-flavored. This one had all the scents down - the spices of clove and nutmeg and allspice, which instantly conjure up an image of pumpkin pie - but the flavor was lacking. Not to say that the flavor was terrible - it definitely was not the worst beer I sampled in Seattle that weekend - but it didn't hit the notes I wanted it to. Meanwhile, my husband wasn't loving his Irish Stout. It took him a lot longer to finish the beer than it should have, and I think he was silently convincing himself not to leave an unfinished beer on the counter. The vibe of the place was fun - lots of friends hanging out and chatting. I liked that a lot, and the feel of the old building itself, but couldn't get past the lackluster beer. If we had more time, we would've tried another brew, but they closed up shop early that night, so we didn't have time.

I just checked this local brewery out and was very impressed. Everything you would expect in a tap room. Simple decor, clean bathroom and GREAT selection of beer! Definitely a fan of the SNOOZEFEST IPA and the POP A SHOT EXTRA PALE ALE!

Neat brewery close to DT. Had the chance to visit a couple times and enjoy the beers available in the small, eccentric tap room. My understanding is the brew master is from Elysian Brewing. The beers are good; a lot of floral, citrus and related flavors in the IPAs. The porter was good too. Worth a visit if you’re in Seattle DT. Enjoy.

Met some friends here and was glad I did.. this little hole in the wall down the road from Pike Place can easily be missed... its really worth the season range and sometimes the lines can be long but the beer is great.

Decided to stop on my walk back to the hotel and so glad I did! The beer names were hilarious. I’m glad Cloudburst doesn’t take themselves too seriously; though the beer is seriously good! Worth a stop if you enjoy craft beer.

You want good craft beer in Seattle? Just beer, no food, but you can bring in your own food. Brewery and I hole in the wall try place. Definitely worth a stop if you like good brew.

So I didn't visit this establishment, BUT I MUST REVIEW! I had the Rasberry Saison at Serious Pie and it is now my favorite beer EVER. I spent 8 weeks in Germany and two years living in Europe, so that is a compliment! The Saison is very wheat like with just a hint of berry. There is no sweetness at all, just delicious yumminess. THANK YOU, CLOUDBURST!

I stopped here on a whim while walking from the Space Needle to the Market. I had read on a few websites that this new brewery was not one to miss. The head brewer here used to be a brewer (perhaps the head brewer?) at Elysian and he recently started this. I had three beers here, a mango/habañero saison, and two IPAs (Vibes and Stuff as well as House Guest). All three were great beers, they are really killing it. I loved the atmosphere, the bartenders were great and I had a great time. Thanks!
Great brewery
Great little brewery in an cool old building. No windows. It’s kind of secret location. I had a guest cider that was fantastic. The guys had the IPA.
