We came on a Sunday at 11am, we were told there was a wait despite there being many available tables nearby with no reservations noted. After a 25 min wait in the heat we were taken to one of these same available tables. Waiting staff were too busy, it was pretty chaotic. My order was incorrect, water brought out to wrong table etc etc. Food was mediocre. I couldn't find anyone to ask for the check so I went in to pay. Staff couldn't even figure out who my server was to allow me to pay! This is my first time in the US that I left no tip. I figure the diners who actually received the service from our waitress could pay it instead. Note: server was really nice, just too busy I think.

A friend and I stumbled upon the Coffee House Cafe after rock climbing at a gym nearby. As someone who has visited New Orleans multiple times over the years, I can personally vouch for the Cafe's beignets. DELICIOUS! Also delicious was the avocado dish with sweet potato tots.

Breakfast foods are good! Friendly service. Somewhat long wait for food. Coffee above average. Signature Latte is delish. No wait Ap helps for the very busy weekends. Dinners are fair. Nothing to rave about. Nice weather sit out in a covered patio.

The service was outstanding! The food was excellent also. The prices were very reasonable. Crab cake appetizer for me; French toast and sausage for my daughter. Our waiter "bent over backward" to give us everything we requested.

Our waitress was beyond excellent. She had excellent customer service skills and quickly met every request we made. Food was excellent. They had a lovely outdoor patio area. Loved this place!

Breakfast is breakfast unless it's something really outstanding. The Bloody Mary is very good. The food is okay. Service is good considering the amount of people waiting.

My friends and i have loved coffee house! Ive come here on several occasions, usually for their lunch special (brunch..special?), which you can pick a sandwich and a side. We usually go with the ham and cheese and although im not the biggest fan of ham, its fantastic! as our side, we get the "drumroll, the tomato basil, which is literally one of the best tomato basils ive ever had. So creamy and rich in flavor! definitely dip your sandwich in hurr and the service is decent. nothing fancy but they get things done. Dont ask about your kids, your school, your day, but they do what they have to do. overall, definitely recommend this place!

The four in our party ordered omelets & pancakes & finally after more than 30 min. our food arrived, and the resturant was only about 1/4 full. My pancakes were good but served warm at best. And the coffee was always warm never hot. Service was so so. Ihop or Denny's would have been better, cheaper & faster.

It's a bit on the pricey side but I'd rather go there once than go anywhere else twice (hope that makes sense). The coffees are great but I go there for the Challah French Toast Sandwich. Eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese and 2 eggs sandwiched between 2 pieces of french toast made from challah bread. Fantastic! I can't tell you if any of the other dishes are good. I'm always tempted by the breakfast burrito but still end up with the french toast sandwich.

For the first time ever, my husband and I can drink 3-4 cups of organic, shade-grown, fair trade coffee and not feel jittery or the chemical after-taste of most coffees. It's absolutely delicious! For those who complain that $3 is steep, then go to McDonald's because S*bucks is $4-5 for one non-organic cup! This place rocks and they refill it as many times as you want to! Great deal! The food is great, service has been perfect every time we have been. The only thing I would change is to train the waitstaff properly because at least 2 waiters had no idea what the difference between drip coffee or pour-over was, we had no idea and neither did the waitstaff. They also had no idea what shade-grown coffee was, we asked because the menu mentioned it and we wondered what it meant. However, they were honest about not knowing and were very nice about it. This place is worth trying out!

This a great local community coffee house that host a monthly networking meeting in their back dining room. They have a great welcoming friendly atmosphere. The staff is awesome. They have a great lunch menu. A must try is the chicken club. It comes with chicken, ham, bacon, swiss and cheddar cheese. It is fresh and yummy but the best part is the poblano pepper soup, I’m not a pepper eater but this soup is omg good, creamy with a bit of a kick. Love this place. I must come back for breakfast or brunch it is truly a gem.

I had the Roasted Poblano Soup, it was very good, it had the perfect spice and very creamy and filling. Prices are reasonable and service was good.

The food tasted good but it became a little sickening when I saw the greeter squeeze out a rag in a nasty bucket that sits on the floor under the tea shelf. He and others would wipe down tables and the handle the cloth napkins and silverware and food....without ever cleaning their hands. I would prefer that they wash their hands before they handle my food or napkins after rubbing their noses and wringing out dirty rags. But that's just me.

I almost never give a negative review, but the service at a recent Sunday brunch here was so bad, it still bothers me and I wouldn't want anyone else to ruin their Sunday. Not sure it was the wait staff's fault - sounded like the order process in the kitchen was disorganized. Part of our meal didn't arrive until an hour after we had ordered - by that time, everything was cold and we didn't want it. I politely asked to speak to the manager (who turns out to be one of the owners.) He agreed that the experience was in his words "unacceptable" and then proceeded to tell us that his solution was to yell at our server! No offer to pick up the tab for a truly frustrating and totally dismal meal experience. I have had other weekday lunches here in the past that were fine, but can't get myself to go back to try it again because the way the owner/manager handled it was so rude and completely clueless to customer satisfaction. I understand that things can go wrong from time to time, but how you handle those situations can leave customers feeling good and create loyalty OR it can turn them off for a long, long time. Sadly, this experience led to the latter.

Our band was spending all weekend in the recording studio just down the street, and around 2pm we needed to take a break. One of the guitar players suggested this place, if not for coffee, then for strong drinks. Our bass player opted for coffee (he's ALWAYS drinking coffee), but the rest of us stuck to the stronger stuff. I had a decent scotch and water, while the singer had a few Manhattans. We sat at the bar, which was being worked by two bartenders, even though this place was only 1/4 full on a Friday afternoon. Service was fast and polite, and the drinks were the refreshment we needed. From what I could tell, this coffee shop / cafe would probably be popular with the "hipsters", but there is nothing wrong with that if the service and food/drinks is worth it - and at this place, they certainly are. This was the perfect place for us to unwind and spin our little dreams of making it big, before heading back in to the recording studio.

Our group gathered for late morning brunch, with some getting the CHICKEN-APPLE SAUSAGE “HASH” and others getting the Farmhouse special. All were very good and served hot. Service was good; however, the coffee was what I would refer to as "Old Style Folgers" taste (like we had when I was growing up - maybe it was just a bad brew or something - definitely didn't meet my taste (I'm not a big Starbucks fan but do like a robust coffee). Like I said, maybe just a bad brew. Good food at a very reasonably price (at S/W corner of Frankford and Preston - very convenient). While we didn't have room for them, the pastries looked AMAZING! Beignets, muffins, and coffee cakes! We'll be back!

We were looking for a brunch place on a Sunday morning. Some little neighborhood place with ambiance (which means “good bloody Mary’s”). This place was awesome. When I read the menu to my husband, he immediately jumped on the Texas Omelette: split biscuit with sausage on top, covered with eggs and then gravy. Oh my! Then there was shrimp and grits, beignets, $2 mimosas. Wow. Totally impressed. And the lunch/dinner menu looks quite interesting too. We’ll be back!

I can’t say a bad thing about this place. It’s the most wonderful coffee house and breakfast place I could think of in North Dallas

Good menu, great coffee, breakfast is The best! Pancakes include lemon ricotta, blueberry, and hearty grain. Lots of nuts including pistachio. Dinner is quite good if you are looking for lighter fare. Reuben sandwich, crusted tilapia are our favorites. Oh and the sweet potato fries are flavorful and just the right crispness! Worth a visit.

We went to the Coffee House Cafe with friends to have an early dinner. The menu gave us many great choices and the chicken fried steak got raves. It is made fresh and you can tell by the taste. We were surprised to hear live music while we enjoyed our meal. We were not hurried, and we were able to enjoy the evening with our friends.

Used to love this place...our "go to" neighborhood hang-out, good food and friendly staff. But lately the quality of the food and the service has gone downhill. Last visit our server must have been new - could not describe several dishes and did not know anything about the wine. Finally a manager came over to help us with our selection. During our meal she disappeared altogether and we had to hail another server to bring condiments. Still love their burgers and seasoned fries and will come back often just for those!

I've been here several times with my family for brunch, and aside from the sometimes long wait it's just great. They have a full service coffee bar that whips up some delicious cappuccino's and just about anything you could ask for. I've tried everything from the burrito to the french toast sandwich, it's all amazing. The crab cake Benedict was a favorite for sure.

This is a fun place but every time I've come here my experience has been inconsistent. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes just ok, same with the service. It's so hit and miss I'm not interested in going back (even though I live across the street). The coffee was good every time so I will give them that. Also a few times I've gone they had live music which was fun but it was so l loud I couldn't carry on a conversation (and I was seated far far away from the music area) and it ruined the meal.

Their menu is a bit limited, but that's ok. Their coffee drinks are great! Service is good.

If you cut me, I bleed brown... OK, that's not the most appetizing way to begin a restaurant review, but the point is that I drink a lot of coffee -- I practically run on the stuff -- and I've hardly ever had a cup as good as the Signature Latte at Coffee House Cafe. It's rich, creamy, incredibly smooth, never too sweet, perfectly warm, and topped with a head of foam usually patterned into the shape of a leaf or heart. I usually get the large, which is almost like a cereal bowl with a handle (my size of coffee). I've heard other say it's not hot enough, and while it's true that it won't burn your tongue, I like a coffee I can drink straight away. As for the food, it's never disappointing. Everything I've ordered here is great, though I'd have to recommend the buckwheat pancakes, french toast sandwich, truffle fries, and migas most of all. The service is fast and friendly, and the best part is that they're willing to accommodate you on most a la carte orders. The atmosphere and ambiance suits the food perfectly. It's a bit of the Northwest-meets-Texas. Their house-drip coffee, which comes with unlimited refills is good too. I find it comparable to Nazca's house blend, though the quality may fluctuate a bit more. The latte alone is worth the visit, but you could close your eyes, point at the menu, and still find something delicious to accompany it.

The soup and sandwich option for under $9 is a great choice. I had the tomato basil soup ( which I found myself wiping the side with a corner bread piece of my sandwich...really good!! The pecan chicken salad sandwich was excellent. The meal is very filling. Cannot comment on the coffee since I am not a coffee drinker ( but a lot of people in there drinking it so it must be great ) but the iced tea was fresh. The real nice thing was someone was paying it forward and paid for my lunch anonymously. I have done it for other people in there before. So I guess it went full circle.

I come here for a lot of business lunches. Occasionally I'll come with the family for brunch on the weekends. Due to its popularity it can get extremely busy.

Nice atmosphere. Good breakfast. Omelette very good. Brisket eggs good. But we had to beg to get coffee. Our waitress made us feel like we were annoying her. Her service ruined it for us.

great coffee, great atmosphere, decently priced and great choices. Not you average Denny's/ IHOP knock off for breakfast. The menu has some surprises that do not disappoint

We used to eat here at least once a week, because it was the best breakfast place in town. We happened to be in town and couldn't wait to go back to our favorite place. I don't know if it's a change in management or a change in chef, but this place is not the same. When I ordered coffee, our waiter said, "I might have to warm it up for you." It was 8am. Why was there not a fresh pot!? The coffee used to be the best I ever had. This coffee tasted like microwaved store bought coffee. Then, we ordered food. We used to be obsessed with their chicken apple sausage! It used to be made in house and had an out of this world taste. NOW, it is bland and tasted store bought. My husband and I were most disappointed about that. My chicken apple hash benedict used to be my favorite thing. First of all, they put old, discolored cilantro on it. As someone who has taken tons of cooking classes, any good chef knows that old herbs make a dish taste bitter. The potatoes were also barely spiced. We are so sad that this restaurant is not the same. I'm really hoping we were just here on a bad day. The service, coffee, and food were not as good as it used to be. So sad!

the food was good, but in no way exceptional. They got my order rather confused, though, and ended up charging me a la carte prices for what was a lunch special. And everything delivered in bits, not all together. they got it confused. When i said, doesn't this come with soup, they would suddenly get soup. However, then they charged me for it separately, instead of as part of the combo. Music is also rather loud and hard to talk.

Food is bad. Expensive. And service is worse. I dont know what is the attraction. It could be much better though.

My husband and I had been wanting to try this place out. We went for lunch on a Wednesday. We got seated promptly but waited, and waited, and waited for someone to come take our drink orders. We were sitting there for over 10 mins and no one had acknowledged us. My husband got up to find someone and couldn't even locate anybody. So, we got up and left. Their prices were a little steep, also, for just a sandwich.

Went here for brunch with friends and the food was great. All of us had a wonderful time, the staff are attentive and the food was served quickly. The coffee which I asked for hot was hot. Very clean. Would definitely go back again.

Went here for brunch. I was impressed with the signature house latte! It was subtly sweet and delicious. The breakfast food was pretty good as well. Parking is awful though. We went on a Sunday. It's a busy place but we were in and out relatively quickly considering how busy it was.

We stopped in the Coffee House and found a great lunch menu. I had the tomato soup and shrimp tacos while my wife had the Cobb salad... all was great tasting. Looks like a local favorite. Enjoy!

Wow. Still sitting here and feel compelled to write a review about the fantastic service here! Charles, the GM, came over to tell us my French toast was ready but that he did not like the gravy on my boyfriends chicken fried steak. Not only did they remake it but he took the meal off the bill, which wasn't even necessary. The attention to the food prior to it leaving the kitchen is amazing! Our bartender / server is also very nice and came around the bar multiple times to check on us making me feel like we were the only ones here (we are not). I wish we had breakfast places like this back home! I feel so taken care of like a guest staying with family! And the food was delicious! I'd come back again and again if I lived here!

I keep going back to give it another chance but I just don't get it. Breakfast was basic, they wanted to charge another few $ to switch potatoes for Grits??? Service acts like they are doing me a favor (Sat at Bar). I wish it were were better

I was excepting better. Innovative menu but portions were small and the food was ok but not great. Service was good. Best thing about place was the atmosphere. Disappointed.

My husband and I went here for breakfast at the recommendation of our son. He had the farm breakfast and I had the lemon ricotta pancakes. They are delish! The service is friendly and fast. The coffee is hot, strong and rich. And they have $2 mimosas all day. The atmosphere is welcoming and they have patio dining and free wifi.

I thought the food was good; however, not what I expected. I thought it would be more home cooking type food and it is not. I probably would not go again as it is not my type of food.

Just stopped by to grab a coffee for the road. Fairly quick service and a delicious Americano with a smile. Clean espresso shots, no bitterness, no over roasted beans!

First trip to coffee house cafe. A quaint establishment. I had the challah French toast sandwich which was very good. Service was friendly and prompt but not exceptional. Price was a bit high but guess trade off better ingredients?? So overall I will be back and soon.

We always look for patios at this time of year. We saw this one driving up Preston Road so decided to give it a try. First of all the patio is dog friendly and there were four big dogs there. But all well behaved and no distraction at all. We had breakfast flatbread which was really unique with lots of breakfast meat, egg, cheese and remoulade sauce. Then we had lemon ricotta pancakes. They were awesome. We are not coffee drinkers but we were told the coffee are great.

We have previously gone to this restaurant however that was for breakfast and we wanted to try dinner since dinner was recently added to their hours. We dined early at around 5:15PM and there were very few customers when we arrived. I ordered tea and the tea served was very weak and almost colorless. It was not a good glass of tea. We found the menu rather limited the night we were there. The entrees were five, which included beef tips, chicken Schnitzel, Scottish Salmon and Rotisserie Chicken. We both opted for the Pistachio Crusted Tilapia. It was served with sautéed vegetables. The piece of fish was large and fresh with a baked crust and topped with a light creamy sauce. It was delicious and in fact one of the best fishes we have eaten and that includes large seafood restaurants. Hard to believe we got that kind of fish at a coffee house. The vegetables were very crisp and they had been cooked in lemon/butter. The vegetables included squash, red and green bell peppers, Zucchini. The meal was outstanding. What would I add if I was the restaurant? I would include some type of small salad or perhaps a salad and dip dish. Does not have to be much. Also some type of bread should be served with the meals. The fish and vegetables just looked lonely on the nice rectangular plate. We found the prices to be reasonable with entrees around $12 to $15. By the time we left the restaurant had many more customers. This is a new location and the servers tried to please as we noticed similar service at other tables.

We had a coupon for a free coffee and order of beignets and then took a look at the website. Menu had some very interesting breakfasts so we decided to try the beignets and some breakfast. Beignets came out fresh and hot covered in powdered sugar, very good. Not quite as good as having them in New Orleans but hey it was a much shorter drive from Plano. Coffee was robust, we just ordered "coffee" and it had a great flavor. Wife went for the House Eggs Benedict; 2 poached eggs on challah bread with Italian Pancetta, hollandaise sauce and cilantro. House potatoes come with which are cubed potatoes with onion, garlic and rosemary. She loved it. I had the Migas; scrambled eggs, tortilla strips, onions, peppers and chipotle hallondaise again iwtht he house potatoes. I enjoyed it very much and really made for a great summer Sunday breakfast. Indoor dining is tight but other than it being a little loud it was a comfortable space. In the fall or spring the patio looked like it would be very nice. Overall we really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

While in the neighborhood we selected Coffee House based on recommendations and location, and we were very pleased. Lots of interesting breakfast choices and we opted to share the ham and cheese omelette. The breakfast potatoes were delicious with just the right amount of rosemary. They split the omelette for us and the coffee was superb - robust but not burnt. We will definitely come back and maybe try an adult beverage like the $2 mimosas.

Came here for breakfast with friends. The Beignets were great as was the coffee. For my main dish I had French toast that was perfect.

Another find by my son in Dallas! Very good service and nice selection-some very unique. Great Sunday morning spot!

I have been to Coffee House twice and both times were not positive. Coffee House is a hipster looking place that is split into three different looks. The far right is a covered patio with a fireplace, ceiling fans and wicker styled chairs. It's extremely attractive. It's subject to the elements, so it can be closed from time to time. The middle section is a coffee bar with stools and seating around the parameter. It's a great place to chat, drink and enjoy yourself. The host station and waiting area are here as well. The left side is the sit-down seating. If you get the nice section, it's booths, brick walls and black accents. If you get the side room, it's an empty room with just tables. Service here is my main issue. I ran into a very rude coffee server on my first visit. This last visit was no better with an eye-rolling host and poor time management. There were lots of people waiting for tables, but there were empty seats everywhere. My coffee cup sat empty the whole meal. The food is hit or miss. There are some great dishes and some not so great. The latte was prepared warm and not hot. The Huevos Rancheros were served with a runny chipotle salsa that made the potatoes and corn tortillas soggy. I did not finish the dish. The Challah French Toast was half good. The french toast is served with the bacon and egg in the middle kind of like a Monte Cristo and then cut into two halves. One half had no egg or bacon. The other half had all of it. The House Benedict came with no hollandiaise sauce that we could find. The poached egg was over cooked and hard in the middle. That created a dry benedict with no runny egg or sauce to balance the dry bread. I am not a fan of this place. The decor is wonderful, but the service is often rude or missing and the delivery of potentially good food is inconsistent.

Sunday morning may not be the best time to review a place, but when you specialize in breakfast it should be. We called ahead to put our name on the list, it still took 30 minutes to be seated. As the other reviews have said parking is inadequate. This is a coffee house, the coffee should be exceptional, McDonald's has better coffee. Husband ordered Crab Cake Benedict, there wasn't any Hollandaise sauce on the Benedict. He asked for some on the side, after waiting 20 minutes he was brought maybe a tablespoon of it. I ordered a Spinach, Mushroom Omelette, the toast was barely toast, not brown at all, it also was dry, no butter. I had to ask for butter, which by the time I got it, the bread/toast was so cold it would not spread. The ricotta lemon pancakes were so tough they had to be cut with a knife. We were really looking forward to eating here, the cost to benefit ratio is not there, to expensive for poor service and inadequate meals. This was a disappointing meal and service, we won't be going back.

The crabcake benedict is amazing! The beignets left something to be desired. The apple sausage hash dish was really good as well. One of the best brunch meals I've had in a while!

My wife and I had breakfast at the Coffee House this morning. We were in a hurry so we sat at the bar. I don’ know why we go there because it changes every time we go. Sometimes the food is good then the next time you can hardly eat it. The service is so inconsistent. This might have done it for us. We like being loyal to our neighborhood but you have to draw the line.

I love this place. They have great, unique food choices and a robust all-day breakfast menu. The food is good. The coffee is great. The outdoor patio seating is fantastic and so is the inside. I think the only thing they could do to better this place is to add some parking spaces. Aside from that, they couldn't really do any better.

We are on a 3 day trip to Dallas, after the first day she knew how my brother wanted his coffee! Excellent service Excellent Coffee! Trika was the bomb! It's trendy and local : )

Went here for breakfast, great selection of food on the menu, all food was of a high standard and tasted great. Ambience was excellent. Not too noisy so easy to have a conversation over breakfast. Really enjoyable experience.

I came to coffee House cafe expressly for the gluten free pancakes I have had in the past. My waitress was sweet but was either just terrible or very new and not good at managing her time. I ordered coffee with cream and the pancakes I was salivating for. My coffee arrived maybe ten minutes later with milk instead of cream. Another fifteen minutes and my waitress came back to tell me they were out of the gluten free pancakes. It should not have taken that long to figure that out and let me know. I asked a question about an item on the menu which my waitress needed to ask the manager. She left for several minutes before returning to say she had not found the manager but did her best to find out from the kitchen staff the answers. Where was the manager hiding, i wondered? There really weren't many other options for gf other than eggs, but I took a chance on a GF breakfast sandwich with egg ,bacon and cheddar cheese. I asked for more coffee also. A few minutes later I got my sandwich and coffee but no cream which I had asked for. The bun was still partially frozen and the cheese was cold making the sandwich very unappealing. After another fifteen minutes when I still has not seen my waitress, I asked another server if he could bring me some cream for my coffee. By the time I got the cream my coffee was cold. Several more minutes passed before I saw my waitress again to tell her how awful my sandwich was. She apologized and had it taken off my bill. In the end I left with no breakfast, bad coffee and most important- a bad taste in my mouth regarding this restaurant. They really could have done a much better job at taking care of me. If they want to have return customers after poor experiences they need to go out of their way to express that they value you as a customer and want to do everything in their power to make it right. I left feeling like they were just happy to get rid of me. I would not recommend this restaurant based on the service. Especially not to anyone with dietary restrictions.

My niece & I (and her twin infants) went here for brunch, on our way to drop me off at the airport. We didn't have a lot of time, but the service was excellent so we had no difficulty getting out in time. I had their house benedict, which is poached eggs on chala bread with fried prosciutto and the usual hollandaise sauce. It was good but I think the Canadian bacon would have been better. It came with a type of hash browns which were tasty. My niece had a collection of side dishes which looked good and which she enjoyed. This is a cafe in the traditional sense of the word--nothing too fancy, but they seemed to put a twist on many of the standards you expect for breakfast or brunch.

It's been two years since I last visited the Coffee House. I did not have good experiences and told myself I would not come back. My daughter wanted to come here, so I made a return visit. I made a bad decision. The host experience was the same. They are unfriendly, do no smile and make the initial impression unpleasant. It was the same experience two years ago. After a reasonable 30 minute wait, we were seated at 11:25 AM. It took 15 minutes for our drinks and coffee to arrive. The tea never did get delivered. Our questions on availability of certain pastries were never answered. We ordered our food around 11:45. 45 minutes later both the appetizer and food arrived. During that long wait for the food I was not asked if I would like more coffee or something else to pass the time. The food was very disappointing. The country potatoes with herbs had no seasoning that I could see or taste (see pic). The ham was thin deli slices with no seasoning. It's was a bland basic diner plate. The challah french toast sandwich came out cold. The sweetness of the french toast was the only flavor. The eggs were bland and the bacon did not have any flavoring that cut through the sweet french toast.

Dinner , for 5 and the service must have been one of those days as it was inconsistent . Food was average and mediocre at best and presentation less than impressive as salads and main meal were brought out together and not salads first . Main entrees were average at best Need immediate improvement for the dinner in their whole scheme of things , First time to try for dinner.

We stopped in the have coffee and an appetizer and found ourselves delighted with the size and taste of our order. The coffee is organic and brewed to perfection. The menu is varied. We found out that much of the food is prepared in-house rather that prepackaged and warmed or nuked per order. This is must go to place when we are in Dallas.

We love coming here on the weekends for a yummy breakfast. The building is hip and the coffee bar is amazing. My son and I always get the Apple Sausage Hash with eggs and my daughter opts for the Frozen Hot Chocolate and the Pancakes. Both really good. I don't drink coffee anymore, but when I did, theirs was great.

This is the perfect place for gourmet breakfast all day (they do serve outstanding lunch and dinner items however). The atmosphere is comfortable, charming but cool - a modern hangout. Great music in background. Large leather booths. We love the cage-free eggs, fresh muffins, orange juice, french toast and hash, house potatoes... You will want to come every week and sit, eat, read or get on the free wifi... Live music on Friday and Saturday nights.

I tried this place a while back and the service at the bar for breakfast or lunch was always very bad. Just don't get it. This time I tried again, raelly bad. The food is overpriced for not being that good. @ eggs, bacon, potato, toast $11.00 and the bacon was not cooked and they charged an extra $1.00 to substitute for grits. Not going back, $16.00 for breakfast is rediculous for basic food. Will co back to Mamas Daughters Diner for better breakfast and half the cost.

The long and short of it is, you really can't go wrong if you need a casual, high-quality spot close to home. My wife and I have been 3 or 4 times, and it is quickly becoming our "usual" spot when we feel like going out foe breakfast or dinner. Breakfast is very good (try the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes), and dinner as well (success with the burger and scallops/pasta so far). Last night a guy was playing an acoustic set, and the outdoor patio is awesome (when it's not 100 degrees out). Overall this is a great, relaxing "default" place for a good meal close to home. Plus they have coffee and wifi if you need a place to study.

Heard good things and we decided to put them to the ultimate stress test --- Mother's Day! Pulling in a good 30 min before we were to meet Grandma/mom there - we noted that no wonder the Sonic next door went out of business -- the parking lots and the sonic drive in slots were all taken up by cars! Friendly/bustling entry into a cavernous holding tank of a room with a huge coffee bar and tables for two lining a space reminiscent of an airport waiting area. 30-45 minutes wait held true - though they have a call ahead option where you can call an hour ahead and get a name on the list. Coffee seemed to be a main feature to what, by Dallas standards, is a fairly limited menu. Seated in one of several interconnected rooms - we were surrounded by other equally frantic and hungry diners. I was looking forward to this all week. Breakfast is a good meal no matter when. Sampling their much touted lemon ricotta pancakes, their chicken sausage hash, their plain pancakes and challah french toast - along with coffee, tea, and latte - gave us a good cross section of "what brings em in." Sound/acoustics made the room near impossible to talk in/be heard, service, while attentive and refilling - seemed basic. Food came fairly quickly accompanied by coffee that was a bit on the bitter side. Maybe a bad batch of drip roasted too long? Ricotta pancakes definitely require butter and syrup as they are on the dry side. Tiny chicken sausage and non crispy potatoes and poached eggs (overdone) would likely have been better/same at denny's and $5-7 less. Didn't see service problems as alluded to - even on their "busiest day of the year" but the food was no great shakes and not enough to bring this diner back for breakfast. They also serve lunch and dinner but the quest for a consistently great breakfast north of George Bush continues.

My husband and I used to really like this place and it was at one point so busy from many other people who loved it that it was hard to find parking. Don’t be fooled by the packed parking lot, it’s for the place next door that truly has amazing food! We were disappointed a few months back with the lack of service but we decided to try one more time this weekend because I enjoy their lattes. And while the latte this time was ok, and my breakfast flatbread good my husbands challah French toast sandwich disappointed yet again. The kitchen manager came out and asked us not to give up on them and he would take care of us next time. He offered to make him another but we didn’t have time to wait and I had split the flatbread instead. So we paid for the awful sandwich and soggy nasty fries that weren’t eaten and decided that there won’t be a next time. This place had a good thing going but its lack of good management and good customer service will ruin any place.

Breakfast on a weekday and the place was almost full. Our server had an attitude. Shrimp & grits on the menu was excellent. Poached eggs on a bed of Chicken Apple Sausage Hash was not up to the mark. Pancakes & maple syrup with mixed berries ( extra) on the side was good too. Service a little slow. Parking was a little difficult to find.

Ok, I have been thinking this place was like a coffee house with limited food. Someone told me to try it, that the food is fabulous. It is not just coffee. Great place! They have a huge patio with a fireplace, a wonderful bar area and two separate eating areas. They have an excellent HH with drinks and appetizers $4 from 4-7 every day. I got a white sangria and we got some fried portabella mushrooms with ranch to dip. They were really good. They seated us in a great booth in a quiet section in the room next to the bar. We like quiet. They have a wide selection of breakfast items that are served all day. Sandwiches, Burgers, Salads, Tacos and Entrees. This is not your ordinary fare. I had Challah French Toast Sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese. It came with rosemary potatoes. I never had anything like the sandwich and it was wonderful. My husband had the burger which was 1/2 pound and he said it was very good. It came with shoestring fries. With the wonderful smell of coffee when you walk in, my husband also had a latte. It was so pretty, I had to take a sip. It was so good!! Service was excellent. At 7:00, they had a guitar player in the bar. We could hear him and he played really nice soothing music. Very relaxing. I love this place. And it is right down the street from where we live!

Coffee House Café Restaurant is just what name suggests - a Breakfast/Coffee Joint. We had to wait awhile, and were asked if we wanted to eat outside (day already heating up so we elected to eat inside, which took a little longer. Our server, Ryan P was very helpful and brought our drink orders right away. He didn't hover, but was there when we needed refills and were ready to order. We began with a starter of Beignets - smaller than those served at Café du Monde in New Orleans, but a good size for a starter - 6 small pieces served with traditional powdered sugar. Yum! My husband decided on the Spinach Mushroom Omelet, my son the Challah French Toast, my daughter-in-law had the lemon ricotta Pancakes and I decided on the Farmhouse (2 eggs, choice of meat - turkey bacon for me, hash browns, and multi grain toast). Perfect. the portions were good sized (not over-the-top huge like Hash House) and my son must've been hungry because he finished his in record time. I gave him 1/2 of my bacon and a few bites of scrambled eggs to fill up his obviously hollow leg. I tasted his Challah French toast - yummy and the Lemon ricotta Pancakes, so it's going to be a hard choice as to what I'm going to choose next time! The service was very good - Ryan took good care of us - but didn't hover or rush us!

I ordered the fruit bowl and oatmeal while my husband ordered the two egg breakfast. Both servings were generous, cooked beautifully and, if you're a tea lover, they have Harney & Sons!

If you have a distain for Starbucks, this is the place to come too. Aside from being a very popular place, here in North Dallas... you will find this place has been very, very comfortable. The coffee is awesome, and refills are abundant. Breakfast is awesome here as well. You cannot go wrong here.

My wife and I tried this restaurant yesterday morning and the pancakes were amazing as well as the coffee and Juevos Rancheros. We wish we discovered this restaurant sooner. The service, quality of food and cost is excellent. Great Job!

This place is a little odd but the food is quite good. Try the breakfast offerings - you won't be disappointed.

First in the restaurant at 7 AM for fresh coffee and breakfast. The waiter kept my coffee topped off, and the pancakes were delicious.

They have the best ricotta cheese pancakes!!!and the ambience is just great for lazying around with good food and good service. Been here 4x only because I live 30mi away otherwise I'd be make it a weekend ritual

Best breakfast place- if you're looking for a LOCAL joint. So good I got 12 burritos to go for the team!! Skeechy service but the food is worth it. and you can bring yer dawg and sit on the outdoor patio. It was a great experience.

Went and had breakfast here this morning. Had the infamous French Toast sandwich and wasn't very impressed. It was extremely soggy and too sweet for my taste. We also had the chicken apple hash and it was extremely greasy and didn't have much of a taste. The eggs were bland and covered with a little cheese. On the positive side, the ice coffee and our waiter were terrific.

We went to Coffe House for brunch Mother's Day. We waited over an hour for a table and were then seated on their patio. When we questioned sitting there because the rain was coming through we were curtly advised by the lady at the greeter desk that "we don't control the weather" Their attitude to our having waited over an hour for a table in the railways unapologetic. We will never frequent that establishment again

Great calming atmosphere. Went for an early Saturday dinner with a friend. Scallop over pasta was great. White Sangria needed some fruit, but was very tasty. Can't wait to try it for breakfast.

I like this spot. Cool environment with $2 mimosas. And not just your normal mimosas but a variety of juices. Complements their very good house breakfast potatoes. Always enjoy my meal here. Service is average.

I have been going to Coffee House for breakfast and brunch for a few years now. The food is consistently good. I have tried most of the omelettes and my current favorite thing to order are the Migas. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and the coffee selection is excellent. The patio is also nicely shaded and very dog friendly. I noticed last time they even have special hooks along the walls were you can secure your dog's leash. All in all I am happy to live close to this great place. My only complaint with Coffee House is the service. It's either really good or really not. There's definitely a training opportunity here.

This was a very nice place for breakfast. Dallas mornings are sometimes hot and their iced coffee was good. The signature iced coffee was what I had. Another unique menu item was their challah French toast sandwich. This was different. It is a sandwich of egg cheese and bacon between two slices of French toast. Came with a side of potatoes. Excellent. The bread was the right thickness and the level of sweetness just right. Overall great Breakfast spot.

Very interesting place. The menu is sophisticated and surprising. The venue is comfortable and intelligent...and the coffee, well it's great! Ambiance - Close to perfect..if you like nice comfortable places Presentation - Appealing and traditional Quality/Serving Size - The food was prepared perfectly and the portions were outstanding. Having said that is on the more pricey side. Service - It was casual, warm and had just the right attention level without being annoyingly friendly. Secret Sauce - The Steak and Eggs is amazing [deep fried filet Mignon], great any time of day! Well done, we'll be back.

Everything about this place is really, really good! Whether you dine indoors or on the enclosed patio with fireplace you'll enjoy the atmosphere. I recommend the challah and pancake menu items in particular! The coffees and latte drinks are excellent. The service is always good.

I've been eating here about once per month since early summer 2012 to meet with business contacts. If I was choosing the location, I wouldn't have returned after the third round of mediocre service. Today I dined alone for a late lunch after church and got a very poor excuse for a waiter. It was in the low 30s outside and I ordered normal drip coffee and water with my ham and cheese omelette. The first cup was cold with the addition of about a teaspoon of creamer. That is a clue that it was not hot or fresh when poured. What waiter delivers old, nearly cold coffee in a coffee house? I almost spit it out in surprise because of the undrinkable temperature and taste. When my waiter came past several minutes later, not to check on me but for another table, I told him it was cold on arrival. He said he would "make" me a "fresh cup." To me that means brew a fresh pot since the other pot was old and cold. Several minutes later, he brought a new cup that was not freshly brewed but at least warm enough to quickly drink. If I had added the cold cream I wanted, it would have been just as cool and undrinkable as the first cup. When I got 3 sips down, I could see about a teaspoon of grounds in the cup. By the time my "waiter" passed by so I could tell him I had another cold cup, this time with grounds, my meal was half eaten. Oh joy. Ice water really didn't put me in a good mood in the chilly room after coming in from 34 degree windy weather outside. The "black forest ham" and cheese omelette was mostly oily melted cheddar with no more than one very thin slice of lunch meat style ham chopped into it. The plate was the hottest thing in my meal with the eggs acceptably warm, the chopped potatoes barely "heat lamp" warm and ditto on the toast. I've had much better quality food and service at IHOP and other local diners for less money. The waiter decided on his own to just remove the coffee from my bill and inform me of it instead of ditching the laziness and making sure a fresh pot of coffee got brewed and delivered after the second bad cup. Honestly, if a coffee house can't afford to brew a fresh pot of their plain old drip coffee to ensure quality when the place is full on a Sunday, then they need to get a single serve brewer and make one cup at a time or get out of the business. Ten bucks for a mediocre meal with worse service. Next time I have a meeting at this location I guess I'll join those who nurse an iced tea for the duration and eat a good meal before I arrive. The service has only been decent about every third visit. The lunch items were definitely better than the breakfast items I've sampled.

Great place to hang out over a late breakfast and catch up with a friend, good nightspot for a cup of coffee and a treat past dinner time, there is a full bar that I have never yet made use of, and I love the look of the well-enclosed patio with fireplace. I've always ended up here when wanting a relaxed cup of coffee and something else to munch when a visitor is in town. The eating area feels rather private, and is small enough that they can keep a pretty good eye on you, even when they are busy. Be careful of the step down out of the booths if you are enjoying a coffee with "extras" from the bar, though! Always happy with the food and service here, and the available hours can't be beat.

My family and I visited coffee house café this morning for the first time. They were busy, so the service started poorly. But Susan came to our table and saved the day. She provided excellent service and the food was spectacular. I highly recommend coffee house café

We really loved this place. I'm so glad I made reservations for the brunch because it was completely full on this Sunday morning. My husband had the ham and cheese omelette with the hash brown casserole. He said he would definitely have it again. I had the French toast sandwich with the hash brown casserole and loved it all. We also had the Robmosa Bar and really enjoyed that we had the option for different juices. Our waitress was wonderful and provided excellent & very friendly service throughout the meal. We loved the interior too. Nice bar area and the patio also looked great. This place was a distance from our house, but we were going to an event at Fair Park and this was along the way so it worked out perfect. I will definitely plan for us to eat here again when we have weekend afternoon events.

I had the Challah French Toast Sandwich :Bacon, over-easy egg and cheddar cheese. The food was mediocre at best and the potatoes were burnt. When I brought this to the manager's attention she brushed it off as no big deal. I was disappointed because the coffee is great and the place has great ambience.

Two couples were here for brunch. We were looking forward to a new place. the other couple had been here before. Called ahead so we were seated promptly. Our waiter was there promptly and took our drink orders: water all around, 3 coffees, and one small coffee drink. We were ready so we also put in our food order. I don't remember the other three but mine was a family breakfast, just a standard eggs, bacon, home fries, and a pancake substituted for toast. I had no idea it was going to be such a challenge. This was brunch and all were waiting for our coffee. After about 15 minutes with no explanation why we did not have it my son went and asked could we get or coffee. Oh, so sorry, we are brewing a fresh pot. Really? No coffee ready at brunch? It was finally delivered in about 5 more minutes, about the time to brew a pot. The kitchen was slow but the food finally arrived. Three meals and my pancake were delivered. There was some comment that the other meal was on the way. I expected the main part of my meals was just delayed as the waiter could not carry it all at the same time. It finally arrived in about 10 minutes, about the time it would take to cook it. No explanation. No "sorry for the delay". Ok, I just wanted to eat breakfast. Not so fast. The eggs were not over medium but over light. I don't like them that way but I was way behind the other three and hungry. The waiter made the "mistake" of stopping by and asking, "how is everything?" I told him about the eggs and he did offer to have the redone. I turned the offer down as it was too late. I was read to eat 20 minutes ago. Again, no acknowledgement of a problem or and apology. Except to bring the check we did not see our waiter after that. Full prices for a meal that was unsatisfactory. I owe the money and paid the bill. On the way out my son stopped to find and talk to the manager. I chose to just leave as I did not expect any accommodations. I expected the discussion to be the old "very sorry" but no acceptance that the cafe did not deliver what was paid for. I did not want to waste my time. When my son came to the car I found I made the correct decision. I guess I could have skipped the details and just said, "poor service, poorly cooked basic food, and no accountability." I will not be back.

Nice cafe for lunch. I had blackened shrimp tacos and my hubby had the blackened chicken tacos both were delicious.

I LOVE this place! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting plus the lattés are so yummy. Add some wonderful friends and it's easy to linger long after the food is gone. I don't like pancakes in general, but their lemon ricotta pancakes are fabulous and don't even need syrup.

Two of us have been here before but one was a Newby. We enjoyed the crab cakes, burrito, and migas. The cinnamon tea was fabulous! Definitely coming here again!

The hostess looked completely fed up when we walked in. She sat is down and after several minutes without a server we decided to sit at the bar. The service there was also very slow, despite there being lots of staff standing, or sitting around. We have been here before, and never had any issues. Unfortunately, this time was very different. We will not be going back any time soon.

We've been visiting the Coffee House Cafe since they first opened. Don't let the generic name fool you. This place is something special. I can't think of another coffee house that makes its own hummus and fried portobello mushrooms. Whatever you do, don't miss the challah French toast sandwich, the house reuben, and the roasted poblano soup. And be sure to try the cold-brewed coffee on a hot day. I'm told this is only one of three places in the U.S. to get it

One of my friends wanted to go here for her birthday lunch, so a group of us went. Just about everyone wanted the chicken salad. First of all, let me say that the guy that waited on us was not a very good waiter. We had to ask him for everything, even to take our order. Several times we asked him for things and had to ask him a second time on most everything. The sandwiches were dry and did not seem fresh. We told the hostess it was my friend's birthday when we come in. She said to tell our server. Well we told him and nothing........... This place used to be a good place to eat............. oh well.

Greatly enjoyed CHC for a business meeting. Great classic American breakfast. Decent coffee. Ambiance was perfect for the meeting. A bit pricey running us $30 for two people (tax and tip) with just American bfast and coffee. Overall, great place.

This cafe has only been opened a short time so we dropped by for breakfast. The building has previously housed various restaurants. The inside has been completely renovated and looks very nice. There is a large coffee and drink bar as you enter with the dining being to the left for inside and to the right for outside. We chose the inside area as it was just a little cool. There is a breakfast and luncheon menu that contains several egg and pancake dishes along with soups and sandwiches. We opted for breakfast and had the eggs, bacon and potatoes and the pancakes. The eggs were just eggs and the bacon needed to be cooked a few seconds longer. The potatoes are heavy in garlic, so much so that i could not eat and I noticed the dishes of other customers contained uneaten potatoes. The pancakes were good but not special as they were rather thick and heavy. The syrup served was some type of house brand and appeared to be just syrup off the shelves--- there definitely was no maple favor which we desire. The service was excellent. Prices are high, $3 for a cup of coffee with a refill and the cups are small. Breakfast will run almost $10 for many of the meals. We were intrigued through by the nice renovations inside. The place is new so perhaps some of the issues will be addressed with time. Parking all the way round the building. The outside has been renovated and great landscaping.

I've been to Coffee House a few times and am never disappointed. The service is friendly and food is tasty. It's the kind of place where the servers know your name. The shrimp and grits are my favorite! Delicious grilled shrimp with cheese grits and a spicy chipotle sauce. The grits are creamy with just enough cheese and the chipotle has just enough kick.

We went to Coffee House Cafe on a Thursday at 1 pm and it was packed! I asked if there was a special event, and they said no. So I am not the only one who thinks this place is very good. They are open for Breakfast-Dinner. I had the soup and sandwich, which was the Poblano Pepper soup ( very good!) and a pecan chicken salad sandwich ( also good ). My business associate had a hamburger, which he liked. We splurged and each had some pie ( coconut cream and Boston cream ) and really liked this as well. With drinks the bill was $30 which is about norm for a lunch, beverage with pie. Yes, we will return.

The food was SO delicious and the staff is AMAZING! I recommend the beef burger. SOOO YUMMY! Go eat!

I've only been to Coffee House Cafe twice - both times for a business breakfast. On neither occasion (granted both were early in the week) did we have to wait for a table. Both food and coffee/tea were very good each time. I had egg dishes both times and the ingredients were fresh and the dishes were well-prepared. Both times the wait staff was very friendly and struck the right balance of helpfulness. Later in the day and on weekends it's probably much more crowded, but I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

This is a great place for a Sunday breakfast but be prepared to wait..everyone thinks it is the place to go to. It is worth the wait although not sure I would do so with young children. I have been there weekdays and for lunch ..and enjoyed that as well...

I tried the Coffee House for a cup of coffee thinking that the name probably meant that they really go all out to have terrific coffee. They had guys with signs out on the street announcing they had a drive-thru for coffee. I thought, 'anyone seeming to want to compete with Starbucks must be really good,' right? Not so in my one experience. At the drive-thru I was the only customer during morning rush hour, so the service was quick. But the server was noticeably unfriendly. Not rude, just indifferent and unfriendly. But the real disappointment was the coffee; it was not very hot, was bitter yet sort of weak or watery, rather than rich. I didn't think much about it at the time, but after tasting the coffee I recalled that they were using a brown plastic canister to serve the coffee at the drive-thru. The coffee had probably set there for some time since they didn't seem to have any drive-thru business. I threw the coffee out and went to Starbucks and waited through their line. All unfortunate, since the place is right on my morning commute and I thought it would be nice to give some business to a local establishment rather than a global chain. Too bad.

Had business dinner, small group. Waiter was excellent. Food was very good. Breakfast available all day, which means you can get shrimp & grits anytime! Very reasonably priced. And the coffee is just as good in the evening as in the morning. Good value. Parking lot is relatively small.

I really love this place. I've loved it since they opened several years back. Every time I've been I've enjoyed good food, good service, every time I've been I've enjoyed good food, good service, and Dan ambiance that is different from the other cookie cutter coffee joints around Dallas. Also, they now have a drive-thru window so you can get your coffee fix on the way to work! This morning I had their signature breakfast tacos and they were wonderful. Also had several cups of their delicious coffee. This restaurant features a couple of different meeting rooms so it would be a good place for a business function or large family gathering

I had the shrimp and grits which were a nice serving with excellent taste. My daughter had the large lemon pancake which was good also.

I eat here with family or friends at least once a week. They have also recently added a drive thru----way better than Starbucks for my morning fix. The food is always good an I appreciate cage free eggs and other high quality ingredients like what I would use at home. It is like a pub in that they remember you and you'll see your neighbors there but the food is fresh with healthy options (not pub food). I love the live music in the evenings. Last week it was wonderful Spanish guitar music. They have free wifi and I've spent afternoons on 'work at home' days set up at the bar with friends enjoying endless coffee refills. In addition to the good food and friendly service, I like patronizing a place that is owned by someone in the neighborhood as opposed to just another franchise. The patio is also nice and one of the few places where you can bring your (well behaved) dog with you to dinner.

Coffee Drink was served cold. Breakfast was average with above average grease. Service was very poor. We won't be returning.

Nothing really stands out from its name to its appearance and it is on the dark side inside. ...but the staff are very friendly and accomodating and the food is pleasantly DELICIOUS, on the healthy side to a good degree, with many organic ingredients. All of the food we ordered was Great Quality and ...Delicious! I had the blackened tilapia which was one of the best I ever had. It came with a yummy sauce on the side (so there was plenty) and tasty grilled vegetables. The burgers were thick, juicy patties and made to order with a large serving of frites alongside. From the scallops served on angel hair pasty with plenty of sauce to the salad... All 5/5!! Even the chef came by our table to ensure our satisfaction. That wasn't hard. Also the prices are half of what I typically see from food of this calibre. My tilapia was around $13. Our waiter was friendly and accomodating. It was a great experience. We went on a Tuesday and there was also live music which was impressively talented though a little loud. I would DEFFINATELY come back!!

Stopped in real quick before closing on a Sunday afternoon. Pour over was good and bread pudding with whiskey sauce was very good!!

Did a DoorDash delivery and it was excellent! We had the traditional tacos for two and they were delicious. The tacos were filled with eggs, bacon, avocado and sauces. The potatoes are nicely seasoned with rosemary (I think!). The delivery went smoothly and the food was packed well. Will definitely order from them again!

We love this place because of the atmosphere, food and staff is all cool and my kids love the pancakes.

Brunchtime in Dallas, so my family and I chose Coffee House Cafe. Attentive service, good breakfast choices, tasty food. I wish I had asked to be seated in the booth area however, as the atmosphere was better. We were seated in a front room with tables, which seemed more like a Denny's (nothing wrong with Denny's but this is pricier!). Next time I will know better.

I like their coffees and lemon ricotta pancakes very much. The service is good. They get the food out to you fairly quickly. They have a wide menu for lunch and breakfast. Nice setting and good location.

Our group of 4 met for breakfast on a Friday morning. The parking lot was crowded and it was difficult to find a parking place. The cafe was crowded but we were able to find a seat after a very short wait. 2 in the group ordered a specialty coffee drink. It arrive warm and the coffee had to send it back. The Shrimp & Grits were excellent, Additionally, pancakes with berries were ordered. The pancakes were partially cooked so they had to be sent back. The bowl of berries consisted of 3 berries. When the new pancakes arrived it was the same story, so we called the manager and he sent them back. The 3rd try was no better, but we ate around the uncooked portion. It did not appear that the place had sufficient staff to handle the crowd.

I live around the corner from the Coffee House Cafe and it always has a crowd. The first time I went caused me to wonder why, but I have to confess my disappointment was partly my own fault. Hubby and I couldn't decide on a dish to share. He wanted breakfast and I wanted lunch, so we shared a Rueben and beignets, neither of which we thought were great. This time we were both in the breakfast mode and shared their eggs with crabcakes, sort of an eggs oscar, but with crabcakes instead of crab meat. It was good. My husband rated it as very good, but then he'd won the toss for the eggs and they were over easy, too runny for me. The hash browns were excellent though. Hot all the way through and crunchy on the outside. While we endured the 20 minute wait, he had a Cafe au Lait and I had Hot Chocolate - those were both excellent. If I were to guess why this restaurant is so popular, I'd say, location, location, location. We're restaurant heavy in the area, but breakfast food is hard to find. Even the Denny's and IHOP are very busy. Corner Cafe - forget about it. So, Coffee House fills a niche. The service is not great. I've had worse, for sure, but it's like they just don't care. The best part is a patio where your dog can hang with you. The weather's never been right for us to try this, but this may explain a lot of the traffic, too. We always see a lot of dog lovers and their pooches out there. They have a fireplace, but it still feels a little breezy for me. Precious will have to wait until the weather is better. I'm sure we'll be going back. It's too close to the house not to.

The hot tea was not hot, the food was cold and the order incorrect. Not a good day for this normally excellent little neighborhood place that I love to hang with friends. I will go again but they better get their act together soon.

Great place for breakfast. Enjoyed a Holiday breakfast get together with the ladies from the office. Service was good, food good and the setting was nice. Well done!

We had always loved this as a breakfast treat but recently tried lunch and we were very pleased. My wife got the Reuben and I got the fish tacos. Both were excellent and the sides were not just sides, they added greatly to the meal. Love the ambience and the service. Always busy and that is for a good reason.

Crab cakes were good but not outstanding but Grilled Brie with spinach and mushrooms were better than those I recently had in France.

Great room to host your next meeting. Excellent food choices, and great Coffee. Ryan P. was our sever, he was awesome! He atteneded to our every need, great Customer service. Thanks Ryan P.

I just had coffee here with a colleague. The Latte was amazing. I told the server to surprise me with a flavour and she did not disappoint. We only had coffee but I am planning to go back for a meal soon, everything that passed our table looked delicious. The parking lot was full but the noise level not bad and service very quick and friendly.

A cool little place with some pretty good food. Happy hour house until 7pm with appetizers (the hummus is amazing) discounted as well. The lattes are pretty awesome and it seems lately there's always some live music in the evenings. If you're looking for some good food and a cool atmosphere check it out.

With the appearance of a traditional coffee house and a solid selection of caffeinated drinks and cocktails, this is nice breakfast or brunch destination that won't hurt your bank account. Variety of dishes should satisfy even picky eaters.

My daughter and I ate brunch here. They have very good gf pancakes, they were a pleasure. My daughter's French toast was also very tasty. Service was good, but for breakfast it was pricy. 30 bucks for 2 of us!

This coffee shop is its own building... and looks nothing like the typical and bland Starbucks. The servers and baristas here are always very chill and easy going. The coffee is outstanding; not sure where they get it from. The food is really good, everything from the salads to the sandwiches. Free wi-fi.

Had lunch here with 3 of my coworkers. The place was packed. 3 of us had lunch and 1 breakfast. The 3 lunches were grilled salmon with lemon and capers, blackened tilapia, and blackened shrimp tacos. Every bite was eaten and simply delicious. The breakfast was the lemon ricotta pancakes. Was stated that those were the best pancakes he had ever had. Service was superb and food was expedited quickly. Highly recommended.

Fiance and I visited this coffee house near lunch time and although busy, attention to detail was not overlooked. Great atmosphere and cozy decorum. Mocha came out with an artistic flair and beignets were delectable. Would definitely recommend for coffee date or hang out spot.

always judge a place first by the amount of traffic and cars in the parking lot. This place is packed! They have great coffee combinations i.e.Cappucino's. Again, it's always packed and for a good reason.

The crowds on a daily basis speak for themselves--this a great find with fast service and superb coffee and food! Bigger on the inside than you would expect and everyone is very professional and friendly! Try the Reuben!

The food here was very good. It was a memorable meal because we were meeting someone in person for the first time. She selected this restaurant. Parking was challenging - it was a Sunday for brunch - and the waiting list was very long. But when she arrived, we visited and, while loud /busy all around, it was a nice place. She was surprised at the numbers of people but we had a wonderful meal and great service once we were seated.

My fiancé and I went there on Wednesday for a lunch. It was very quiet and calming, just what I needed after a crazy morning. I asked for coffee as my drink. I got three refill and every time it served cold (disappointing) ! As my entree , I ordered their kale tuna salad. It was really delicious but I think it was overpriced. My fiancé ordered beef burger. He said it was no better than Fast food burgers. Fries were super dry too. Overall, it was an average. I was expecting more when I choice to go there. So I won't go back probably.

My husband and I have come here pretty often in the past for brunch. Lately we've sat at the bar which is open seating. Today we had such horrible service from the 2 girls behind the bar that I'm seriously questioning if I will ever return. I know what busy days as a barista are from many years working at a coffee bar myself but when the customer is not rude to you there is no reason for an eye roll when you ask nicely for a refill on your drink. We had to wave her down on several occasions and just plain felt like her waiting on us was a waste of her time. Perhaps it could be that her significant other was there and was more important that he was tended to than the paying (and polite) customer. Food is good but good service is even more important.

Went for a Sunday brunch and wanted to sit on the dog friendly patio. Had to go inside to find someone to come out and wipe the tables off from the rain. Unfortunately this took some time to get someone. However after we finally got a waiter the service was friendly and gave us good service. I had the standard breakfast of eggs and bacon. Eggs were not cooked like I asked, I wanted medium but they were hardly cooked and only got 1 1/2 slices of bacon. Toast was stale. My brother got the Crab Benedict. Crab was thin and mostly filling little crab. My spouse got the breakfast tacos which were tasty and very good. Atmosphere is pleasant and very casual. Plenty of free parking.

I was having a emotional day. One of my best friends mom had died of Covid and I was weepy & sad. I am a frequent customer of the Coffee House and I was coming to get my lemon ricotta pancake 😋.I learned about it when I came here on my Birthday back in August. Tanya the owner went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my visit even though she was short handed on staff. I appreciate her acknowledging me and making me feel important. Sometimes thats all you need to keep you from going over the edge. She even told me she looks forward to seeing me again. Another friend called as I was eating and became upset that I had'nt invited her. She said "You know I Love the Coffee House!!". It was a bit chilly outside in the outside seating area but they have a cozy fireplace and above head heaters that made it cozy. I cant say enough about this place. I will be back and I will continue to refer my friends to this place. Thanks Tanya you really made my day better!!

These are the best panckakes I've had in a long time! So light, so fluffy! Coffee is great to boot! Thanks CHC!

I love the breakfast here and I love the coffee, it is always so decorative. Everything is always so yummie. The ONLY downfall is the service. The wait staff is sooo slow, everytime. Not sure why but they take forever to bring out your food.
Not bad, but not that great either
The food was just ok, had Texas Egg Benedict, which were covered in far to much gravy, the meat patty was tasteless and not fully warmed up and the potatoes too soft. The service was below average, our waitress was overwhelmed with the two tables she had on the patio, she couldn't remember if we had coffee or not, then didn't remember if we had ordered decaf or regular coffee and I never got my orange juice. The patio is nice, but it is getting very loud and the door from the patio to the inside of the restaurant needs to get fixed. The squeaky noise, every few seconds when someone gets in and out, is very annoying and can easily be taken care of with WD-40! Overall, no reasons to go back.
