Our drive to Company Café on Greenville was very enjoyable although parking was challenging as there is only off street parking. It's a restaurant that offers gluten free food. We enjoy the restaurant settings, not overly noisy so that we can share and chat. We didn't feel rush as the place wasn't crowded for lunch. The menu selection was quite good. We enjoyed the Deep Dish which was made of chopped beef and yam, mixed with egg with an avocado. It was quite tasty and the portion was good. It's family friendly. The waiter came back several times to refill our glasses. The setting was nice. We spent about 1.5 hours over lunch. The neighborhood has quite a few outdoor restaurants for people to select one. It's a nice neighborhood to explore the restaurants on Greenville. Definitely will go back and explore this part of time.

We ate here for lunch. They have a "day" menu and a different dinner menu. The day menu is too breakfast oriented for my taste - lots of eggs, pancakes, etc. I had a fried chicken sandy (sandwich) and some fries. Both were good but far from knocking your socks off. Every one liked their food and had no complaints. The prices are quite reasonable. The décor has a sort of used industrial feel about it. They are proud to be using as many local ingredients as possible but do not take themselves too seriously. The staff are helpful and patient, no complaints there. There is a large outdoor seating area where dogs are welcome. It is located next to the trail so you can walk off your lunch.

Ok. If you're on a gluten free diet you know you can survive nearly anywhere. But RARELY do you actually get to truly enjoy what you're eating. This is that place! I hate to say it because it's already crazy busy and doesn't need more business, but right when you think the food can't get better, they make it better! The stuffed French toast actually tops the French toast bites (which I would have bet was impossible). The fried chicken with the Johnny Rooster has the best batter I've ever tasted. Coffee is good. Service is good. Pancakes are good. I am wishing them a bigger location in the future. :). Thanks company cafe! I forgot how much fun eating out can be!

Stopped by recently for brunch with friends and had a great time. I got the chicken sandy and it was really good. My friends enjoyed their meals as well.

You can choose indoor or outdoor seating. The menu is simple and they are a great place to also have breakfast, served during the day as well. I chose the Cheeseburger with Blue Cheese.. I was cooked to my preference although the bun was a bit on the tough side. They have a full menu of vegetarian and gluten free dishes.

The restaurant was nicely decorated. Service was average. The cappuccino was my least favorite item. Need to work on that. The food was average, It isn't a large breakfast menu, but interesting combinations.

Visiting Dallas for a few days with my daughter. She’d been before and wanted me to try it. I got a delicious smoothie with strawberries, bananas, honey and almond milk and a gluten free biscuit and it was delicious as well. The biscuit came with butter and a citrusy tasting jam, very good. She had a “sammich” which is a gluten free biscuit topped with egg and bacon and a order of potatoes. Good experience and nice atmosphere.

I happened to see gluten free biscuits & gravy on the menu so I dragged everyone here for breakfast. No one was disappointed! The coffee bar was a hit as they could get their caffeine quick & hot. My tea selections were Harney & Sons which were accompanied by my own carafe of hot water for easy refills. The menu was so good that it might have taken us a cup or two to figure out what we all wanted & garner a promise to allow tastes for the rest of us. Even my picky niece was pleased with her pancakes. I cannot wait to be back in Dallas so a second visit...

Every time my hubby and I go to brunch I usually get gluten contaminated because I’m so sensitive being a full celiac. Every time we go here I not only can have almost everything on the menu but it’s all safe!! Can’t tell you the last time I had pancakes, eggs Benedict and fried chicken...heaven!! Come try this place, amazing food and gluten friendly for all those non-gluten eaters like me. Try the Hangover Fries...worth the calories and a great starter to a delicious brunch. Not to mention the bloody Mary’s are pretty yummy as well, a bit too cocktail saucy for me but still good.

We have heard tales of how good the gluten free food is here and we also enjoy knowing the food we eat is carefully made of really good ingredients. We were at the Katy Trail location on May 19, 2014, graduation weekend for at least SMU, if not other universities nearby. They appeared very short staffed. When we were seated, every seat inside was taken and not one table had their food yet. It took a long time for a waitress to ask if we had ordered yet, I think we were there an hour before we were ever served (we were seated right away). We didn't order coffee but it was apparently out at the self serve stations. Our overall impression was that they were very busy and understaffed. We ordered biscuits, eggs, gravy and hash browns. The biscuit was ok, but a bit sweet, even for gluten free type bread. Even the gravy was on the sweet side. The rosemary potatoes were delicious. We would give this restaurant another try at a different time of day and try some of their lunch or dinner offerings.

The turkey club, chicken pesto and hamburger were delicious! Very friendly with family. Had trouble finding parking.

We sat out on the patio for people watching. The service was fantastic and fun, she recomended great picks. We had a burger and chicken fried steak and split them up.

We walked to brunch at Company Cafe. Great little local spot focusing on a variety of food type (GF, vegan and traditional). The place is a 'get cozy with your neighbor' kind of place. Packed with a wait but well worth it. For brunch I had the Banana's Fosters Pancakes - good add to the menu. The GF pancakes are on par with regular pancakes. Loved the caramelized sauce but the ratio of sauce to pancake didn't do it for me. Ask for extra sauce when you order. My husband had the Paleo Bowl - two eggs (over medium but your choice), avocado, walnuts, Brussels Sprouts, beef, tomato and a side of salsa. I thought it was bland but he liked it. He also got a fabulously hot and spicy Bloody Mary - so good! Great local spot to try with lots of options for everyone to try!

Here's how it breaks down: 1 star for the self-serve coffee setup that works great. 2 stars for the outdoor seating 3 stars for the amazing honey jalapeno gravy on the chicken-fried steak. 4 stars for so many gluten-free versions of comfort foods. A great overall experience that offers gluten-free diners the same pleasures that traditional foodies can have any day, any place.

You read the title of my review, but saw that I gave this restaurant 4/5, here is why. The stuffed french toast looks nothing like it does in the photos on their instagram and even here on this website. I was expecting french toast packed with vanilla mascarpone and drizzled with strawberry sauce, this was not the case. I got two small pieces of toast. With a little mascarpone spread in the middle and melted. Then one sliver of strawberry, for the price of $13. The price point of this dish does not match what you get. I would pay $8 maybe. The dish tasted great though. Everything tasted great. I would go back, I just wouldn't get the french toast. The paleo bowl was delicious. The loaded sweet potato fries were great. The mimosa cafe was done right. There are two more quirks I have to complain about then I am done. I was charged $5 for the venison sausage on top of my loaded fries even though their menu says $4. The waiter fixed it. However he didn't bring me my full change. I always pay with cash. My change was $4.28, the waitor only brings me $4. This is not a big deal, but is very annoying, and technically stealing. This seems like a bad review, but to tell the truth this restaurant is great and I would return, and highly recommend going here. Just don't expect the french toast you see in the pictures.

We went to the Company Cafe in search of good, organic, and healthy eating. Gluten free items were wonderful and not easy to tell they were gluten free (and anyone that eats gluten free knows what an accomplishment that is). Eating a GF Chicken Fried Steak was a real treat, but we should have asked or used caution when the plates were delivered with a cream gravy that included jalapenos (this ingredient was not listed on the menu). Everything else was very good and reasonably priced. The service was good and my water glass never stayed empty or low very long at all. It was a little difficult to hear conversation between two people as the noise level inside got a little too loud for comfort, also making this a not ideal romantic location. The lighting was a bit too dim for my pleasure and air movement seemed to be lacking in the area we were seated.

It is difficult to go out to eat when you are allergic to gluten. We drove here from McKinney just for breakfast and it was worth the drive. I had the Grandpa's breakfast which was a GF biscuit with gravy, eggs, and bacon. It was so good. Not a huge portion for $10 but still worth it. My husband and son both got a smoked pork sandwich with fries. This portion was much bigger and worth the $. I think it was $12. They loved it (they chose non GF bun as they aren't allergic). We had the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer and we all liked it. The chips were great but a little thick (this is per my son). The food was so good that we even ordered dessert. We had mystery cake and strawberry cake. This is the only thing we had that wasn't very good. The cakes both had slight freezer burn taste and were a little dry. They just weren't that great and I will not be ordering cake again in the future. Overall the food was good. The service was good. We will be back! It was worth the drive and we highly recommend even if you aren't allergic to gluten.

We went with a younger couple. It's "American Food" with a Gluten Free twist. Had a salad and Fish & Chips. Fish and Chips had too much batter on Fish. Had a GF Carrot cake for dessert. I love desserts but I guess I don't like Gluten Free. We were in a restaurant that didn't match our eating style.

I had Door Dash pick up my order. The food was still warm but it was terrible. I can't believe I paid money for this food. We ordered chicken fried steak, tacos and buffalo wings. I guess if you stick to their breakfast menu you might be okay, but don't eat off the regular menu!

Short Ribs, Coffee, and Sweet Potatoes, Very Good..Briskit Taco was Very Good, They have gluten free as an option on most of menu items.

Amazing gluten free food options. The chicken and waffles were delicious, and my girlfriend loved her gluten-free pancakes. Tons of options to keep you coming back. Friendly servers.

Great choices for gluten free if you need it. Healthy scrambles and good food for kids made with the same delicious ingredients. My kids both (6 and 11) ask to go there.

My horrible experience was at the Routh St/ Katy Trail location this morning. We were informed at seating by our server that he was just seated four tables in rapid succession. Having worked in the restaurant industry for many years, my husband and I are generally considerate and understanding of routine issues such as these. We were brought water, but never asked for a drink order, and had to flag down the server to get his attention to place our food order. Because this was a busy Saturday morning, we ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer in addition to our brunch orders - specifically letting the server know we wanted something to hold us over until our food arrived. After an hour of waiting for an update from our server, we again flagged him down to inquire about the status of our chips and salsa. He (in passing, clearly in a rush to make the interaction as brief as possible) stated "it's coming" before my husband could even ask about our order, when my husband tried to clarify our question, the server again (more forcefully) stated "it's coming" - at which time I attempted to explain if the chips and salsa were going to come out with the food, we didn't need them. Again, we were told "it's coming" with even more of an attitude - one that I don't think I have ever been addressed with by a service professional in my life - and I use the term "professional" loosely in this case. I attempted to inform him that we understand he is busy and that he was coming across with quite an attitude that wasn't necessary for him to listen to our question and answer it. This is the point where he nearly verbally assaulted me with his attitude and walked away. At this point we decided to leave - my husband had one of the bartenders locate the manager to let him know the circumstances under which we were leaving and the manager's response was "ok" - so we left and we will not be returning. Save your time and money for establishments with better customer service.

We have been gluten free for 5 years and it is so hard to find GF menus and it is even harder to find GF food that tastes good. Company Cafe has it all- good menu, good food, great atmosphere, good service, specials, Kombucha on tap! We love going here and have never had a bad experience! The menu is even good for those who are not GF!

When you go to Company for weekend brunch, be prepared for a wait that is, ultimately, well worth it. Yes, we waited for 40 minutes but thereafter, service was mostly good and the food served promptly, hot and delicious. I had the Deep Dish with venison sausage (extra $4) which was really worth it. The sausage really makes the dish. We waited too long for coffee but everything else was just super. Company Cafe suffers currently with a too small kitchen but that problem will be rectified, allowing the waiting to be minimized. It can't happen too soon. Meanwhile, go early, have a $3 Mimosa, sit back and telex. The food will be worth the wait.

Right across from the Katy Trail Ice House is Company Cafe located right off the Katy Trail. Parking isnt easy, so using valet is your best bet. It's free, just with a tip ($2 or $3 and worth it). The great food and awesome atmosphere help one forget about the below average service. I will continue to go back despite the little trouble.

I started with serve-your-own coffee, which is great so you don't have to wait. The coffee itself was nice, too. Unfortunately they ran out before we were done eating and I don't think it was ever refilled. I had the THE DEEP BOWL which has grass-fed beef and sweet potato hash with a huge avocado and two scrambled cage-free eggs. It was pretty good. I loved the huge avocado most. I only ate about half of the hash. It was super busy and there was one waiter trying to service all tables. My toast was not really toasted and it was just one piece. Usually when I order a side of toast I expect at least 2 pieces. I only got enough jam to put on half a slice and no butter. I'd like to go back later in the day or on another day to try some other dishes and hope there is more than one waiter.

Best thing I have eaten an a while. Pancakes with BACON and JALEPENO mixed in, topped with fried chicken and laced with syrup. OMG!! Perfect sweet, salty, crunchy, soft, spicy.. You have to embracce the quirky -and spotty service - reminds me of Cafe Brazil. Would definately come back!

We had the Johnny Rooster (Jalapeño bacon pancakes, fried chicken breasts) and Company Salmon (subbed veggies and potatoes). The food was delicious - best salmon I've tasted in dallas since we moved here 6 months ago. Pancakes were incredibly tasty and the fried chicken was the best I've had - EVER. Service was friendly and attentive. And not to be under-rated:it was warm inside rven though it was ~30 out. Would definitely go back.

First off, our serive was great! We had a party of eight and all enjoyed the food. The chicken fried steak was really good.....the jalepeno honey gravy was excellent. Try the tres leche cake with pineapple......it was amazing! If you are looking for healthy/clean menu, this is a must. We will be back.

Ordered gluten free grilled cheese. They brought regular bread. We didn't know until after we ate it. Server blamed me even though I ordered everything gluten free. He was very rude. Also, there was a giant roach on the wall. Disgusting.

I have eaten at both locations of this restaurant and it's amazing. We often eat with a gluten free friend and this place is perfect. Lots of gluten free options and the food is still great. The desserts are gluten free but taste great even to a gluten fan. Great service as well. The atmosphere was a little loud but besides that it's a great experience.

The atmosphere for our groups post wedding celebration was wonderful. The outside patio was perfect for an evening gathering. The bar staff as very attentive with several special cocktails highlighting their focus on fresh ingredients and infused favors. The food was tasty, plentiful, and showed the same attention to fresh flavors combined with a gluten free menu.

We tried this place as it was recommended by a family member who lives nearby. It has the look of a pub that serves food. The breakfast menu is limited but has interesting choices, including bowls with eggs, protein, and veggies, which is what I tried. My wife had eggs, bacon, and biscuit with gravy. We thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. Recommended.

All staff have visible tattoos and also pride in this trendy lunch and happy hour venue. The food is free range / kosher and prepared and served with pride. Menu selections vary but all healthy yet inexpensive. Great for casual but stylish lunch.

Nice place for a family breakfast, particularly since we had someone who has to eat gluten free. Only drawback to the Lower Greenville location is all the street construction.

We enjoyed dining inside but could see the walkers on the Katy Trail as we dined. Outside dining would also be nice. I brought my daughter who eats gluten free and we had good food that was healthy. Dessert was cheesecake....need I say more? We had gluten free chicken fried steak and also meatloaf. The choice of vegetables was nice...I always get the smashed cauliflower.

Great location and food! Most everything on the menu is gluten free or can be modified to be. They even have cake! I had a friend with me that doesn't normally eat GF and she loved it as well.

Went here for lunch yesterday it's family and this was my first visit . I have many food intolerances . I had the gluten free pancake with fried chicken .. this was delicious! The pancakes were fluffy and the chicken was tender and crispy . My family members do not have food intolerances like I do but they enjoyed their food very much. My husband had the paleo bowl with grass fed beef and he raved about it. The waitress also brought us a free generous sample of true gluten free French toast .. it was delicious ! I wish there was one of these in Fort Worth this place beats HG Supply hands down ! The prices are astonishingly reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get . I will definitely make the long trip up there again . It's worth it Highly recommend ... was told by the waitress that everything is gluten free and they have special fryers to prevent cross contamination . That was very reassuring to hear . !

The place is "hip", but the wait staff was not pretentious. They have SO MANY vegetarian and gluten free options, but also some great meat options. Eggs were all cooked perfectly. Would recommend for breakfast/brunch! (Lunch menu also looked fantastic).

I am a diagnosed Celiac and found this restaurant from a gluten-free group on Facebook. I saw that their Google listing is marked as a gluten-free restaurant. Perfect, let's go. The place was super busy and we put our name with the hostess. Because it's raining, nobody was seated outside. We sat at the bar so I could speak to the wait staff because despite advertising themselves as a gluten-free restaurant, I noticed their menu board said their food can be made gluten-free. Mmmm so is this a gluten-free restaurant or it is just a place who makes some dishes gluten-free? There were two bar backs and I asked the one with curly hair if the fries were cooked in a shared fryer and were they gluten-free. She said that all of their fried foods were cooked in a dedicated gluten-free fryer "because we know what we're doing." After placing an order for the loaded fries, I asked her if the chicken fried steak meal was gluten-free. She said it was. The other bar back took our food order and my husband said he wanted the gluten-free chicken fried steak, breakfast meal with eggs over hard. The waitress asked if he wanted regular or gluten-free toast. He said gluten-free. Our food came out. The loaded fries were really good whereas the sweet & spicy waffle with fried chicken ($14.75) was meh as was the chicken fried steak ($15.50.) my husband's eggs were over easy and he hates runny yolk. He gave me his toast after he asked the bar back who took our main dish order for a plate to share. She literally saw us share our food and said nothing as I ate the toast. Never got a refill on my water so I drank my husband's as he also got himself drip coffee. When the receipt came we noticed it had Celiac mentioned. Also the gravy mentioned gluten-free, my waffle mention gluten-free but the toast did not. I asked the bar back who took our main dish order and gave us the plate to share if it had been gluten-free toast or not. Ummmmmm she straight up said she thought only gluten-free was for me. My husband literally ordered his meal gluten-free and we asked her for a plate to share!!! She said sorry and that it was her "bad" that she gave us regular toast. I have a flight to catch today. My husband started a new job and my health insurance hasn't kicked in yet. People with Celiac have ended up in the hospital from being glutened. I had an entire piece of bread! The last time I was sick for 4 days from eating 1 slice of deep fried jalapenos that was accidently put on my gluten-free burger at Red Robin. We paid the bill in full, no discounts were even offered. If end up in the hospital thanks to being severely glutened, I'm sending my hospital bill to Company Cafe & Bar 100%. February 11, 2024

We had brunch here on Sunday. They are quite busy. The food was good. My cappuccino was OK. The service was good. I think most people like to eat there because it is very casual and you can bring your dogs. It is a bit pricey. I have been there twice. I go there because my sister likes to go there. I think I would pick somewhere else.

My husband and I have been to the Lower Greenville location several times. While this isn’t a place we would have tried or frequented if not for my recently diagnosed gluten allergy, almost everything on their menu is gluten free and they’re in close proximity to our favorite GF bakery (Unrefined). I always have the GF chicken fried steak because it’s not something I can eat anywhere else, and their version is very good, with a slightly spicy jalapeno cream sauce. I personally don’t care for the too-garlicky green beans but the sweet potato mash is fine. My husband likes the chicken fried steak as well, and also likes their burger. We still haven’t tried their fried chicken or any of the GF baked goods on display, but will probably do so on our next visit. Reasons why this isn’t in the regular rotation: 1) The location is a bit far from our white-bread suburb way north of Dallas (not their fault). 2) The food is a bit heavy/greasy for me – while the CFS is good and that’s what I come for, I can’t eat that stuff too often. It would be great if there were some appealing, healthy options - but who am I kidding? With CFS and fried chicken on the menu, am I really going to waste a trip ordering something healthy? 3) The atmosphere and staff have a bit of “grunge” factor to them, like they just beamed down from deepest, darkest Portland – the tables are a bit sticky but serviceable and the people are perfectly nice but have lots of piercings, tattoos, etc. This is generally not the atmosphere we look for when thinking about getting lunch/dinner out. Still, it’s very casual and “go with the flow.” Anyone with a gluten allergy should give it a try. They also seem to have an extensive list of craft brews (no idea if they carry GF beer since I don't drink the stuff).

This is such a great place for delicious, healthy food that is also gluten free. The people are fun, caring, relaxed and professional. Wine is available and the desserts are not to be missed. OK, so it isn't 100% healthy but it is 100% good.

This is a wonderful oasis in a sea of gluten. The best burgers. I can even eat the fries - they are made in a dedicated fryer. Service is good.

After having to explain gluten free to servers all over Dallas, I was so excited to find the Company Cafe! They serve fresh foods with a "gluten free twist!" Some places grudgingly accommodate the gluten free set by serving food that is on their regular menu without sauces and spices...probably because they haven't educated the staff on easy, tasty substitutes to wheat products. This place was amazing and the food was wonderful. It was such a treat to be able to order with confidence that I wasn't going to be glutened and get sick after eating out. We ate outside even though it was hot in Dallas and stayed delightfully comfortable beneath the fans and misters. The place is dog friendly and several diners had their well-behaved pooches with them for the evening. The wait staff was solicitous and friendly and we were quite comfortable in the accommodations. It's the food though that will bring me back any time I'm in Dallas, however! Five huge stars for Company Cafe!

Love this place. Totally addicted to the gluten free chicken fried steak. Non gluten free friends love it too.

I'm still glowing from a few hours ago about what may be one of the best meals I've ever had. Fresh farm-to-table chicken fried and served on bacon and jalapeno stuffed waffles. Wow. Great Texas craft beers on draught and friendly service to go along with it was just what the doctor ordered for my short stop over in Dallas. I'm making it a point to get there again as soon as humanly possible.

I actually adored the Katy Trail location, but will have to get used to heading to Greenville now for my Company Cafe fix. They have the absolute best gluten free bicuits and gravy. Two words: jalapeno honey - that is the other type of gravy you can order aside from the traditional pepper gravy, and it is truly worth getting fat for! I have been to this restaurant (former Katy Trail location) a dozen or so times and never been disappointed. They have great breakfast, lunch and dinner options. I usually went for breakfast/lunch, but also tried the spicy nubs and chili chese sweet potato fries which were fabulous. I can also give two thumbs way up for the biscuits and gravy, deep bowl, chicken fried steak breakfast option, the sweet potato hash, french toast bites, breakfast tacos, petit filet, bacon/cheddar/mushroom omelet and the company migas. They also usually have a sambuca of the day, which I always loved too. The patio was great at Katy Trail, but I believe the Lower Greenville location has a patio as well and they were super pup-friendly which was always great.

I had a business lunch here with colleagues. Overall, the good was really good and they have a nice selection for people who eat gluten free. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food, the service was good, and the overall experience made me want to return.

Laid back with excellent, fresh from farm food. Inventive yet down home. Love it!

My husband and I love this location!! My son is gluten free from having Celiac so we love taking him here as well. But on our last trip here was just us. We love the staff..especially Hailey!! She's awesome!! She wasn't there this time but our other server was great as well. Always a good vibe here.

...Nice to find a restaurant that is dedicated to providing the best, cleanest ingredients. I got the morning glory bowl, he got the deep bowl. Both were great with terrific, fresh ingredients, and were cooked perfectly. We also shared a gluten-free brownie...not really impressed, very dry and almost chalky...somewhat unceremoniously plopped on the table, wrapped in plastic wrap. Maybe it would have eaten better if it had been slightly warmed.

I went with my 2 girls ( 10 & 14) and my husband. We each ordered different entrees, that were all very good. The service however was very bad. The waiter dropped the food and never returned. The 4 entrees and 4 ( non alcoholic) beverages were $84 before tip.... This was a VERY casual atmosphere...college type hang out- which could have been cool with good service and little better price.

Walking down the street looking for lunch and saw the Gluten Free sign. Popped in and instantly greeted with a smile. Prompt and friendly staff. Had the 'Company' salmon with roasted cauliflower and spinach. My taste buds were soooo happy! Sadly, no room for dessert and will save that for the next visit. We got there around 130pm and could have had breakfast if we wanted - nice option.

Casual place where you immediately feel at home. Also suitable for celiacs. You eat well and prices are in line with those in the United States. Recommended!

Went here for brunch and loved it! I’m gluten sensitive so knowing that everything was gluten free was awesome. Plus my friend was able to get something that was yummy for her. Will totally go back the next time I’m in Dallas.

We struggle when we travel to find places that are gluten free. This place is great! 95% of the menu is gluten free. The French toast bites and biscuits and gravy are a must.

Went for both breakfast and lunch during our visit. Lots of gluten-free choices on menu and service was excellent. Food was delicious - would definitely recommend (esp in coeliac).

I loved having these paleo friendly options. I wish it was closer to me I'm Carrollton! We were downtown Dallas today so for a treat we stopped in. Both kids had pancakes and gobbled them up. My husband had chicken fried steak with eggs and the honey jalapeño gravy, so good. I had the deep bowl which was a grass fed sweet potato hash, eggs, and avocado. It's was so good. Because I'm gluten and mostly grain free, I usually have to make so many subs at other restaurants. It was nice to just look at a menu and know that I had options without having to do the eliminations in my head before ordering. I'm ready for my errands to take me to this part of town again, there are more things on the menu I want to try!

Portions were too small. $12 for a burger and fries that was small enough for a child. Service was just ok. Probably won't go back.

Company cafe is a fun brunch spot. The food and drinks were great and reasonable prices for Dallas. Would go back.

Staying at the Fairmont Hotel, Dallas for a conference we were looking for somewhere local that had tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere and catered for both vegetarian and meat eaters. The hotel recommended this and it was excellent. Stuffed mushrooms, sweet potato chips and a pretty exciting meatloaf, followed by a selection of delicious cakes and Texan tea. Great recommendation - excellent food, cool bar environment and great, friendly service. Oh and the beer - that was well worth the visit, alone! Definitely recommend.

No, no no. Why are you SO far away from where I live. Not fair. Not fair at all. I want to try everything on the menu. And I CAN, even gluten-free and dairy-free, which is amazing. I got chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy (not DF). I've NEVER, EVER had that option before. And the biscuits taste like...biscuits! (If you're GF you'll understand this better.) So yummy. I bought a package to bring home with me. 1500 miles away. I need to work my way through the menu because there were so many options. Do you deliver?

If you're a celiac or need to eat gluten-free for medical/autoimmune/allergy reasons, don't come here as you will get sick! My wife is a celiac, and we were told the chicken fried steak was gluten-free along with app fried dishes here because they didn't have a shared fryer. Great! We ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast w/ gluten-free toast along with a few other gluten-free dishes. However, when we received our bill, the chicken fried steak just said "toast" below it and didn't say gluten-free toast despite the other items on our bill listing gluten-free next to or below them. We asked the server if this meant the toast wasn't gluten-free because we obviously already ate it, and she said yes, it was a regular order, and it was her mistake like it was no big deal. A mistake?! Getting people extremely sick is not just a simple mistake! This place needs to stop advertising as gluten-free as their staff don't see to care or know what they're doing. I do not recommend this place and definitely not coming back!!

Call it’s a breakfast bowl if you like, I call it a bowl of ground beef with tiny cubes of carrots and squash mixed through. The eggs were cooked really well but the rest was pretty bland; I couldn’t really taste the squash or kale amongst the beef grease. For $13 I can think of better cafe meals. Cappuccino was good. My partner though the farmers scramble was okay, but once again a bit bland.

Been here several times. Neat food choices, some healthy choices too. But for such a great location plus close to my office I REALLY wish it was much better! Perfection: -Location on the Katy Trail Leaves Much to be Desired: -Sweet potato fries are ok but are rather skimpy--skinny and in little pieces. Did I get the bottom of the batch? If so, make a new one--I deserve good fries! :) -Tea: AWFUL. And you can't have that in Texas. Way too strong. Would I eat here again? Sure, but I wouldn't be excited about it, and it would only be if I were on the trail and starving or if someone else wanted to meet there.

Stopped here from breakfast after a one night stay in Dallas and wasn't disappointed. Eating gluten free can be a challenge when travelling, so this place was a gem. Ordered the coffee cake to share and the "hangover cure" for my breakfast. Bring your appetite, that's definitely a meal for two. Coffee was self serve, but they had a good range of drinks available for order. Cool vibe and staff was friendly. It was a little pricey, but for a small business that provides a vast GF menu, it was worth the cost. If I ever make it back to Dallas, this is on the list of restaurants to visit.

I ate lunch at Company Café the day after Thanksgiving. The staffing was a little light so we had a short wait at the bar while a table was prepared. The food was great and the staff were friendly and engaged. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable with both inside and outside seating. There is a great selection of beer and drinks, and an eclectic collection of well prepared food items. Our food was great and I would certainly return.

Our multi-generational visit was to have been a brunch but so popular was The Company that by the time we were given a table it was more like luncheon. The excellent Bloody Marys made the wait painless ; the oder of chips with a spinach and artichoke dip and silver dollar pancakes arrived almost immediately. The dip was great but I hadn't expected to enjoy a sweet starter. Actually the chocolate chip pancake and maple syrup was very light and made a surprisingly good background for considering an entree. We all went different ways, there were eight of us but perhaps the stand out choice was fish and chips with tartare sauce, which came with sweet and ordinary potato chips.

I went here for breakfast and had the "Wake and Bake" meal it was delicious! Our server informed us that everything is gluten free except the flour tortillas and hamburger buns. Other people in my party had chocolate chip pancakes and French toast bites. Everyone was pleased with their meal. I would recommend it, especially if you have an allergy to gluten or if you have cut gluten out of your diet.

We loved this place. The atmosphere is laid back and homey, and the food is great! My daughter was diagnosed with celiac a couple of years ago and had not had fried fish since then... She was thrilled to get to order the fried fish with sweet potato and regular French fries! It was delicious and their tartar sauce is yummy and unique with a nice onion bite. My boys had the stuffed French toast and GF pancakes and devoured them. The pancakes were huge and fluffy!! This place is a wonderful gluten free (whether you have to eat GF or not) option!

My boyfriend and I stopped in for breakfast.....had the Jalapeno Pancakes with Fried Chicken which was super delicious and the scramble with bacon, mushrooms and cheese. Our $25 breakfast was better than the $125 dinner we had the night before. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. Atmosphere was inviting. I would definitely return. My only recommendation would be ....please upgrade from j Roget!

We are frequent diners at Company Cafe. We met some friends there in the evening and the food was good, but not great as usual. The service was awesome. One of our friends is Vegan and the waitress worked with her until she was satisfied with what she ordered. The chips were a little too hard or soggy with the appetizer. My husband's bowl was a little dry and my gluten free bread was different than I had before. I got two pieces on same meal before and only one piece this time. So I would say it was inconsistent. We will go back, just may drink a pitcher of Pomosas first and then it all tastes great!

One of my favorite places. They offer gluten-free if you need that vegetarian also for lots of options. Excellent choices for breakfast lunch or dinner. They are extremely well-known for breakfast which is served anytime of the day. New menu items from their smokehouse pulled pork sandwiches brisket and sausage to go along with their sister restaurant Backhome barbecue. Willing to adjust menu items are usually ask for the fish tacos as a salad one of my favorites.

Fantastic gluten free brunch outside in the patio. The whole menu can be made gluten free, including pancakes, waffles, chicken fried steak, macaroni and fried chicken. I had the company migas; fantastic. Definitely check this place out, even if you're not gluten free.

Brunch menu was stocked with plenty of great options. The food was excellent. Sat at the bar and service was perfect. Enjoyed walking around Greenville after our meal. Can't wait to go back.

Walking the Katy Trail? Stop at Company Cafe for a Snack or Lunch. Nice outside eating if you don't mind community tables and dogs. We enjoyed talking to our neighbors and brunch was good.

The Risotto Cakes were less (3) and smaller than the other location. The red pepper coulis seemed more like a dressing because it was so thin. I have to say the Mystery Cake was quite delicious. The frosting was the best! I definitely prefer the taste, location and ambiance of the Company Cafe on Routh.

My wife and I visited the Company Cafe for brunch on a Sunday morning in mid-July. She had a biscuit and gravy with eggs and bacon, I had buttermilk blueberry pancakes and coffee. The total was about $24, including tip. We chose the Company Cafe because we had eaten there for lunch a while back and been impressed. In this case, the food was OK, but unexceptional. In a town with a number of outstanding options for brunch (some of which are on the same street as the Company Cafe), the food doesn't stand out. As far as service goes, our server was friendly, but could have been more attentive. My pancakes arrived without butter and it took nearly five minutes for that to arrive. Paying out was a little slow as well. Overall, we thought this was just a so-so brunch. We might go back to the Company Cafe at some point, but it won't be for brunch.

Great Location for brunch. I loved the patio area. The food was delicious. They seemed a bit more proud of it than they should be, but the location is worth the price.

The place is big and has a cool look but the breakfast was alright. Maybe a good place for just an espresso or latte and a pastry. Although the french toast bites were a hit for everyone. The drip coffee was pretty weak. Maybe we didn't chose the best dishes - or maybe dinner is better. Wouldn't not recommend it solely on a breakfast experience.

Company Café is a wonderful farm-to-table restaurant in Dallas. If you are a Dallas local or visiting for the weekend this is one place you don’t want to miss. I personally love Company Café because they serve organic, fresh, and locally sourced food. They also have many gluten free items, if you have dietary restrictions. Company Café serves comfort food with a healthy spin—which is great for those of us who want to get that “Texas experience” but also want to eat healthy at the same time! You can get to Company Café by driving but another fun way to access the restaurant is from the Katy Trail. The trail is well-maintained and very popular for running, walking, and biking. Company Café is really casual, so you will always feel comfortable grabbing breakfast, lunch, or dinner in your workout clothes. If you sit on the patio you can even have your dog join! Not only is the ambiance incredible but the food is also delicious! Company Café is best known for their Saturday and Sunday brunch. Luckily if you can’t make it during that time they also serve breakfast food on their regular menu, along with their other lunch and dinner items. We decided to come for dinner on a nice warm evening. We started out with their spinach and artichoke dip, which is a personal favorite of mine. It is not the healthiest thing to order, but it is incredible! We then decided to get something healthy and went with the summer salad, topped with fresh strawberries, nuts, and feta cheese. For our entrees I went with the chicken pesto risotto and Mr. decided to take the breakfast route and went with the Jonny Rooster, which consists of fried chicken, pancakes, bacon & jalapeno marmalade, and syrup—a very southern dish. Although we didn’t save any room for dessert we still decided to try the “cookie monster,” which is pretty much a big cookie & brownie with frosting. We both agreed that this was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. It is nice to be back in Dallas where you can get some amazing comfort food!

Great food! I love the fact that their vegan friendly options are flavorful. They also had gluten free chicken tenders for the kiddos! Great Brunch place to accommodate the entire bunch! The music also takes you back to the late 90's!!! Loved the playlist.

Was recommended by a friend at work. Wonderful gluten-free items on the menu. Wife had g-f chicken-fried steak and it was wonderful! Great burgers and deserts too! Will return!

Had brunch at Company Café this morning on a recommendation from a friend. I was more than pleased. We started out with an "appetizer" of the pancakes with bacon marmalade and maple syrup. Pancakes were good but the bacon marmalade was crazy good. It was sweet, hot and salty--a trifecta! They ought to bottle the stuff. I followed the pancakes with the Company Migas. The waiter asked if I wanted jalapenos and the answer was yes! When they arrived I was pleased to see that they were fresh jalapenos not pickled. The tortilla strips were cooked just enough to hold up to the smoky sauce they were cooked in. The black beans and feta cheese were a nice twist. Oh and I can't leave out the freshly squeezed orange juice. I would have given this place a 5 but they ran out of coffee twice while we were there. Bottom line...I will be back!

We enjoyed a good lunch here. It was quite busy but we were seated easily. This is a casual restaurant and the staff was very good. We enjoyed our lunch of Cobb salad which was as fresh as one can get. All of the ingredients very tasty. We also had the trio of tacos. One chicken beef and pork. The flavor of the the smoked meats were delicious.

Came here with a gluten free friend and loved it. Great atmosphere for a weekend afternoon. We enjoyed a cocktail as we waited to be seated. Great pet friendly environment! The meatloaf sandwhich was delicious, including the fries! I eat lots of gluten... But enjoyed every bit of this gluten free zone! Good stuff!

I have been about 3 times and each time I order the wrong thing. I need to understand the concept and figure out what to order.. I am a big salad person and I find the salad to be just okay. My friend had an egg white omelet which she was raving about.. I like unflavored Iced tea and that was not available..I went for breakfast once and couldn't get a bowl of oatmeal that I had hoped for.. I will try again and see if the problem is me???

We waited 45 min. to get in which we spent on the patio at the bar. Two of our friends got pitchers of alcoholic beverages to go with their Sunday brunch, the two of us opted for coffee. The carafes of coffee were both empty. When they finally refilled them, they forgot to check the milk and cream so those were both empty. I opted for a cappuccino which came 20 min. later. Once finally seated on the other side of the patio from where the outside bar is located, our service was extremely slow. We waited a long time to order, to get drinks, to get food, etc. The food was good but my soft corn tortillas were slightly hard in areas like the tacos had been sitting under the warmer for awhile before being served. Overall, the place is overrated. Over priced and definitely NOT worth the wait. We spent about 2 hrs here. We never spent that much time even at a cafe in EUROPE, unless it was dinner. Poor, poor, poor! Find somewhere else. There is good food all across Dallas.

Great place to have healthy meal either before or after a walk on the Katy Trail in Dallas. The BEST PART is that they are DOG FRIENDLY. You can sit outside and have your meal with your dogs!

Gluten Free chicken fried steak!! Need I say more? But there is more! Agave sweet tea, delicious sodas, amazing stuffed french toast, GF biscuits... absolutely delicious.

Our family of 9 headed to Company Cafe on Sunday, 11/9, for brunch. As we were visiting family in TX, this place came highly recommended our family who live in the Dallas area. Although I do not have to eat GF, it was nice that this place offers this option, which was good for 2 of those in our group. We chose to eat outside as it was a nice day. Our service was attentive and not over the top. We ordered a variety of different choices from breakfast bowls to fried chicken sandwiches. The food was delivered hot and it was very tasty, nicely seasoned and plenty of it. The outdoor area is nice, as it gives you a great view and some fresh air.

Finding a celiac friend restaurant anywhere has been a challenge but this place is superb!! Instead of telling me the limited menu I could have they just told me the three things that weren't gluten free...so nice! We had the Hangover Cure fries and the eggs Benedict with gf fried chicken! So so good!! We will be back!

This has been one of my go to places for the simple fact that I have celiac and they have gluten free items that most places do not. The food has always been mediocre at best and I can say even less for their customer service. Every time I've been to the new Greenville location, our server has been rude, but because of my last experience this past Tuesday upon receiving not only bad service, but RUDE service, I will no longer be going back. They use to stay open til midnight which is why we came. It was close to 10 and the waitress with black hair who had a half semi shaved head basically said we could order but we'd be kicked out right at 10. I asked if she would take our food and chairs away right at ten and she gave me a dirty look and said, "WE CLOSE AT 10!!!" Needless to say I won't be dragging myself or my friends along with me anymore. Go to kozy, h&g supply, or even the truck yard across the street that offer gf options.

A good place for the environmental and runner type people also good for pet owners to bring pets and keep an eye on while you meet up with friends

This is a nice unpretentious restaurant with excellent food and service. Our group of four enjoyed the chicken fried steak, chicken pesto risotto, chicken waffles (actually it was pancakes), and the company burger. All were tasty and we-prepared. We also share a bottle of organic pinot noir, which was reasonably priced. The restaurant is located on the Katy Trail. Parking was easy and convenient on a Monday night; however, it might be a different situation on weekends. We'll be back!

Amazing food for everyone in the family ...vegan, vegetarian, everyone was very happy! It’s a great place.

While in Dallas this Sunday for the Cowboys-Colts game and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, took my son and his friends to brunch. They picked the Company Cafe @ 2104 Greenville just across from Trader Joe's. This is in the re-development portion of Greenville Avenue and offers plenty of parking for Sunday brunch. A pitcher of mimosas, some french press coffee and bottomless coffee got our six-some started. We ordered the french toast bites and silver dollar pancakes for sharing while catching up. The french toast bites were dense with plenty of cinnamon sugar flavor while the silver dollar pancakes batter was just average and not much flavor. Then we ordered breakfast. There is a nice variety of breakfast plate options, sandwiches and salads for brunch! While we ordered, our server Ruth helped us personalize each plate or sandwich to be sure we had a terrific brunch experience. That is the service you hope for especially if you caught an early flight as I did. I ordered the Morning Glory brunch plate with eggs over easy on top of sliced venison sausage on a bed of spinach and veggies topped with a mild salsa and guacamole. My son's "Samich" was a nice GF biscuit with egg, bacon, cheddar and side of fruit. Others ordered migas and a chicken sandwich as well. We were not rushed and accommodated as our group slowly grew from 4-6 guests so we took care of Ruth who was a delightful server and offered us all their options on each item. A fun start to a memorable father-son visit!

I always get the Deep Bowl - it is so good! I also get the venison sausage for a side - and I'm not even a huge fan of sausage. It's so good!

We go to the cafe for its gluten free options, we are never disappointed. The food was excellent the prices are good but the service could be improved. We went on a midweek afternoon, the restaurant was not particularly busy but service was haphazard and slow.

This is my favorite restaurant in Dallas. The wait staff are a little hipsterish but the food is great. My favorite is the chicken fried steak with honey jalapeño gravy. I would not recommend for anyone hoping to have a conversation with friends, since it's very loud in there. My last visit a table of women were making such a racket I couldn't hear my friend sitting next to me. This seems pretty typical, since it's been loud on every visit, but who needs to talk when you're busy eating?

I picked Company Cafe and Bar because it was close to where I happened to be. I believe Fortune was shining on me. There were far too many tasty things on the menu and everything was gluten free. On the list of traditionally gluten filled items - now gluten free - were staffed french toast, french toast bites, and banana foster's pancakes. There were also traditional breakfast items, but what my friend and I ended up getting were two breakfast bowls. I had a bowl with ground beef, an egg, an avocado, and diced sweet potato. My friend had the migas bowl. I will most assuredly make a return trip to get even more scrumptious breakfast items.

We were in Dallas for the weekend and were looking for places to eat that had a gluten free menu. After looking at the menu we decided to try it. We LOVED everything we tried. My kids were excited they were able to get pancakes. My husband loved his biscuit but what we enjoyed the most was the Johnny Rooster plate. We all loved the chicken fried chicken and the bacon jalapeño marmalade it came with. We will definitely be back to the Company Cafe next time we are in town.

Popular place for brunch with many creative menu choices. The atmosphere is lively and you feel right at home. An added bonus on a hot day is the popsicle place across the street - save room.

I found the food a bit pricey - not that such was a big surprise since it was a "health food" type of trendy restaurant. If that's what you are looking for this is a decent place. Nothing was bad. The service was not particularly snappy but it was gracious. For a person like me just looking for a good meal rather than a cultural/social statement I found it a tiny bit pretentious. But hey - it may be your bag.

Went to this restaurant as a consideration for a member of our dining party with Celiac's disease. Was not looking forward to gluten free dining but was PLEASANTLY surprised. The appetizers were fantastic (stuffed portobello & loaded sweet potato fries) and several of our main courses were very good (chicken fried steak & Chicken Risotto were tasty...fish & chips were OK). Dessert was great as was the service. Our waiter took the time to help us create a dish for our daughter that was a variation of something on the menu. We will definitely go back.

I recently took my sons ages 7 and 2 to Company Cafe for breakfast. It was a beautiful morning so we walked/rode our bikes and sat on the patio. We were welcomed by the staff and played with the two puppy dogs out there. Then we had silver dollar pancakes and the farmers scrambler. Both dishes were wonderful and filling. The only down side was the price. It's slightly expensive, but not obnoxiously expensive. The taste and service was what made up for this and I was very pleased and will be back very soon.

Walked here with friends when we visited in March 2012. Yummy food and cake. Look forward to going again next time we are in town!

This review is of the lower Greenville Avenue location. It's classic American bar far. Wonderful breakfast, served late on the weekends, and delicious hearty food; burgers (even buffalo) fish tacos, salads, and more. It's all a notch above normal, however, and deliciously prepared. About have the space is a dog-friendly covered patio, the other half indoors.

I ate brunch here. I had the egg burrtio with their homade salsa. They have fresh squeezed apple juice that was out of this world. We walked the Katy Trail and decided to stop here and have breakfast/brunch. Very nice patio with a bar outside and big fans that have water mister.

I was so impressed with this place that we actually ate there 2x and also scheduled a small group business meeting there with about 30 people in about 24 hours. Great food Great Gluten Free Great Service! 5 Stars!!

We wondered around lower Greenville and found this restaurant. The service was okay (not great) and the food interesting (but also not great). If asked, I cannot say I’d be excited to go back.

I was not sure how I would like this place, but after eating lunch there today I know I will be going back again!! Everything on the menu sounded so good. I would recommend it to anyone. The server was nice too.

Some unique combinations for paleo eaters, great service, and reasonable price! The decor was also very unique. Would have liked kombusha without extra sugar, though; they need a different brand to choose from.

Go here - it will be worth your while. All dishes are great. Breakfast all day long. Don't go if you're in a hurry.

The skinny: The food was average, the coffee was from a self-serve container and they are dog friendly. Not recommending but its not bad. The meaty: My wife and I stopped at Company Cafe out of convenience and hunger (it was on our way to our morning meeting). We were greeted at the door by semi-warm hostess and we were offered inside or outside seating. We opted for outside. Coffee is a big part of my morning routine and when I dine out especially for breakfast coffee is a major part of my review. The coffee was from a self serve container, "regular" and "decaf"; if you are a coffee snob then you can image my displeasure. Moving on... The menu looked to have a variety of offering both large and small. I chose the coffee cake and fried chicken with buttermilk pancakes. The coffe cake, delicious!, redeemed them for the self serve coffee. The cake was moist and fresh with just enough cinnamon and brown sugar. The chicken was also fresh, still smoking from the oil and skin as crispy. The pancakes were light and fluffy with the compliment of maple syrup. The meal all in was fair with the highligh being the coffee cake. I can't say I highly recommend for breakfast but if you stop by you might find some level of satisfaction. Cheers,

This place is awesome. It has both the great food and fantastic ambiance. We sat down outside and were able to enjoy the laid back hang out and the beautiful weather. I tasted the venison tacos which were delicious. The venison is cut in chucks similar to a sausage. I also tried the Deep Bowl with sweet potato hash, beef and avocado. AMAZING! and last but definitely not least the Fried Chicken with Pancakes which comes with a bacon marmalade that is out of this world. The combo of flavors in that dish make it memorable. All in all a great place.

My wife and I went to Company Cafe for a nice casual breakfast. It was wonderful. We got the Paleo Bowl and split it and it was just right for us. Would definitely recommend this for anyone in the area.

I chose Company Café (CC) for my birthday breakfast because of their wonderful GF menu and proximity to Northpark Mall, for a birthday shopping day. The server was apathetic and seemed surprised when I ordered a GF full stack with turkey sausage. The pancakes had 2 servings of light-colored syrup. I asked if it was corn syrup and he said ‘Yes’. I requested maple syrup because I’m allergic to corn, and then he returned with only 1 serving of 'maple' syrup. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and tasty, but the turkey sausage was cooked dry and not worthy of the pancakes. Just after completing the meal my face started to itch followed by coughing and sneezing. I asked the server if the pancakes were GF and he replied ‘Yes’. I left, then drove to Northpark Mall with slowly worsening symptoms. My nose was runny, I was nauseous, itchy, and short of breath. In the mall parking lot, I dosed nasal spray, asthma inhaler spray, and antihistamine, then sat in the car 30 minutes while symptoms subsided. What a birthday! An hour later, at Macy’s, I experienced sudden nausea followed by a very loose stool and fatigue. Thank goodness for the Macy’s restroom lounge! Was it caused by the food at CC? Probably. I have never experienced such a wide range of allergic symptoms from food ingestion. I wish I could attribute it to a specific food or ingredient, but who knows? Needless to say, I will never set foot in CC again!

Thursday lunch. Company Cafe's turkey club is unlike any I've had. For one, the turkey is cooked and sliced extremely thin. Most clubs seem to have fresh deli turkey. The ciabatta bun was also a nice touch. Only $8. Sides are average. Service was very slow for a place that wasn't at all busy. Worth a second visit.
Gluten-Free Heaven!
My husband found Company Cafe (CC) about three months ago and we have gone about 10 times already. We love this place! Everything we have ever ordered has been good. The chicken fried chicken (which is not on the menu) is delicious, as are the mashed sweet potatoes and jalapeno cream crazy that comes with it. The burger? Mouth-watering. But we love the desserts the most - blondie and carrot cake - YUM! And - they serve BRUNCH! G-free pancakes and french toast. And... nothing 'tastes' g-free. The chef knows what she/he is doing. The service is great and the atmosphere is fun. It feels like Austin. I wish it had a full bar, but the wine and beer selection is pretty good. I would recommend anyone visiting Dallas to check this place out, not just gluten-avoiders. So far, the prices have been a huge draw. Though CC is not cheap, it is cheaper than other g-free places in Dallas - especially compared to Kozy Kitchen (way too expensive). Unfortunately though, CC has added $2-4 to many of the menu items, just in the past two months. So... what's up with that?? As long as the prices stay relatively low, this will remain the top of the list as the most delicious, affordable, full-menu-g-free place in town.
