I absolutely adored this place. We went back after the first time. The space is really cool and there are SO MANY WINES ON TAP. Service is also spectacular, we got some great recommendations from our waitress. I mostly just really liked how they had wine on tap. Also looked like a great venue for meetings and such. Didn't find it outrageously overpriced. Snacks were good too.

Attended a wedding here, best one I have ever been to, and I'm an old fart. The wedding and people was perfect, the venue very nice, the food was the BEST wedding food I have ever had. The beers and wine also high marks. If you are thinking of having an event here, stop thinking and do it. If you are thinking of eating here why haven't you. We had so much fun and the staff was good, most great, a couple good, most great, nice place. Did I mention I had a good time.

fun concept well executed generally fun. big open space quonset hut space more of a ' gen x' spot. The food got mixed reviews within our party: two of the three 35 minute whole chicken were very over brined & way salty and came without a side; the steaks were fine & served with shoe string-potatoes . The salads were great as was the 'fried brussels sprouts. The menu is a bit limited so do the 'menu' on-line before you go. I will not make a point of going back but if others wish to go we would join in.

This is a great place to try wine, hang out and eat good food. The food here is not your average pub food. It's a cut above. Plus, you can order 2 oz of wine, to try before you buy a glass, carafe or bottle. The concept of having all wine on tap, refilling bottles, reasonably prices is so "Portland" that I am surprised that it has not been duplicated. š

This warehouse type space is an urban winery sourcing grapes from across the state (and possibly beyond). They say they've got more wines on tap than anywhere else in the country. Wine prices are reasonable. There's a wide selection of their own and many other wines, and they offer wine flights. Menu offered a varied selection of medium priced food.

Came here to visit a friend and have a quick drink, ending up getting the C.A.B sandwich which was simple but delicious. Service was top notch and the place is unique as it's half restaurant/bar and half wine-making area which resulted in a different but fun atmosphere.

My husband and I were invited to a retirement party of a colleague who spent 40 years actively involved in leadership for one of his passions in life. What a person! What a party! OK, this event was a true blend of business and friendships. Lights were perfectly low, a band jamming, and energy high as most guests stood and mingled in the warm, friendly environment. Dressed in black professional servers carried white square plates with a tasty array of single choices on each plate: skewered filet, fried chicken, crisp crackers with divine vegan deliciousness, shrimp and more options than I can recall ! A table was smothered with some cheeses, oysters(reported by one happy guest as ātheā best)seafood delights. Our favorite finger food was the beef! Served in a delightful sauce, skewered for bite size enjoyment and truly melt in your mouth texture. Unforgettable quality! And the Coopers Hall red wine I sampled was smooth and yummy. My husband enjoyed a draft beer. Choices were impressive. Because the food itself was so exceptional, I asked one server the name of the catering service. He surprised me by explaining this was all Coopers Hall chef prepared! Wow! We plan to return on our own and find ourselves looking for a reason to party again at Coopers Hall!

We recently attended a friends birthday party at Coopers Hall. This was one of many events and gatherings being held at Coopers Hall that evening. The hostess was friendly and showed us to our group. This is a nice open space. I can see the potential for multiple set-ups within the space and adapting to various different venue needs. I found the environment to be a little on the noisy side and the overhead heaters were turned up a touch too high, but overall a very pleasant experience. Waitress came around regularly to take drink orders and kept the table stocked with water vessels. Decided to try their burger and fries which did not disappoint. Other entrees looked equally appealing.

Went here with a group of friends. All are wine and foodies people. This is not a place for a romantic evening as this is an old type of warehouse which was very noisy with picnic tables and some regular tables. The food was just so so. They need to work on the menu as it is limited. The wine selection was very good and they were poured direct from the barrel. To me this would be a place if you just wanted to drop in for a glass of wine or beer.

I absolutely loved this place! There were sooo many wines on tap, and the food complemented it very well! I wish we had one of these back home. I HIGHLY recommend you swing by and check this place out! You will not be disappointed!!!

Attended a fabulous wedding. Food was great. Salmon fresh and cooked perfectly. Venue was fun and upbeat. Loved it. Several wines on tap. Food truck with fresh donuts drove up.

I read about this new wine bar in recent issue of Sunset magazine. Wines on tap! Lots of choices and you can get 2 ounce poors and make your own wine flights. They have their own selection of wines as well as other wines from other wineries. Menu has some interesting description on menu about some of the wine choices. Service was excellent and great atmosphere. We will be back. We didn't have time to try some of the food selections. Wines we tried were good. Lighting at night would be great atmosphere.

I went to a memorial service the only time I have been here, but the staff was nice, the food was good, wine selection was great. It was a sad experience and I'm not sure I'll go back again, just because it will make me think of a dear friend's death instead of all the fun we had together.

I came for the first time with three colleagues for a working dinner. We ordered drinks, including their house wines and two of the family dinners. Salad, greens, potatoes, an amazing roast chicken and a very nice brownie made for a great meal. Each of us had 1/2 a roast chicken which provided more than enough food! The cocktail list was good, the beers covered a nice range, and the wine list was extensive. Their main draw is using environmentally friendly keg wine service, eliminating most bottles. As a winery they are still getting their legs under them and their wines reflect that. I expect great things as they grow into themselves.

Attended a private party here. Beautiful spot, great drinks and great service. The vegetarian meal was, at best, mediocre, but otherwise a beautiful place! Excellent Moscow Mules!

I just visited on a management event so did not order from the menu. However, the food was fantastic and some of the best buffet style food I've had. Pasta with bacon, skirt steak that was wonderful and a great fish dish. The space is open and fun. Wines on tap, full bar and beers. I believe they are known for their wines and selection on tap. I would highly recommend it.

A wall of wines on tap---great appetizers and overall a wonderful atmosphere and great way to show how to reuse a buildingā¦the bartender gave us a great tip for dinner (and brunch)ā¦As is the case often in Portland, we walked to Coopers from the Ninesā¦a brisk walk in a reenergized area. Try it...

Family and friends celebrated my daughter's wedding at Coopers Hall and the wine and food offering were very impressive. I love the barrels as decor and the service was first rate. Even though parking is tough for large groups, we had a wonderful time. Sixty some people attended and most took an Uber.

Relax at Coopers Hall, an inviting open space with rows of wine barrels separating the bar from the table areas. But first, let's plan your strategy. No matter what else you order, you must have French fries. Diet for days before and after if you must, but these are hands down the best FF I've ever eaten. The word is out, too, as each party appeared to have at least one bowl of these salty, delicious gems. Happy Hour (4-6) prices are just a bit lower, and generally food is both a good value and delicious. They create some adequate and some even better wines, with the Sangiovese and Malbec being current stand outs. There's plenty of seating options for groups of any size and there was a family-friendly vibe while not being overrun with toddlers. Finally, the service was prompt, pleasant, and knowledgeable.

Attended a cocktail party here :) Beautiful venue!!! So many wines on tap!! I'm not sure if theyr'e vegan friendly or not. Because I was attending a cocktail party, I wasn't offered a menu. I assume if you have your own event you can request vegan food. I did hear they have amazing french fries ;) I would definitely re-visit for the amazing wine selection!

This was a pleasant surprise! Some colleagues invited me out for happy hour and I was super impressed! The place is gorgeous and typical Portland with the warehouse style, lots of windows and high ceilings. The barrels of wine add to the charm of the place and the upstairs looks pretty cool. I also liked the bar decor. The service was pretty good and our waitress was attentive. I had a burger and fries and everything was tasty and very fresh. I REALLY enjoyed the fries. I had a glass of Malbec that was descent. Next time I'll try the red wine flight. I will certainly go again! It may be one of my spots to take visitors.

We were planning on walking across the bridge after hitting Basecamp, but found Cooper's Hall and had to stop in. It almost looks like a Greenhouse with all the windows and the plants. It was about 5 pm on a Friday so wasn't too busy yet but there were a few people having drinks and the bar and eating. They have a ton of wine on tap, great ciders, beers, and a really good Happy Hour food menu. We didn't end up eating because we had just snacked but noticed the wide variety. We sat at the bar bar and super friendly fast service (sorry can't remember your name!). I ordered a cider and hubby had a IPA. The bartender was super friendly and gave us a ton of tips on Portland as well as just great to chat with. I can see this place being amazing for a private event, company dinner or Holiday Party. We only stayed for one, but Cooper's Hall left a lasting memory. Go check it out for dinner and drinks!

I got myself turned around in Portland and ended up stepping inside the very cool Coopers Hall rather than my intended destination. I was there just after opening so there was plenty of room to sit down, relax, chat with the staff and enjoy a beverage or two while I reset the plan for the rest of the trip. The environment is open, spacious and classy without feeling pretentious. The staff were friendly, easy going and more than willing to talk about things to do in Portland. I had the Chicories with chicken with a glass of Gamay Noir. One of the cool things about Coopers Hall is they have wine on tap...all part of a really innovative way to provide more selection to the customer while not producing a mountain of recycling through empty bottles. This is a place to check out.

Went here for a rehearsal dinner, had a delicious dinner and it was a fun location. Love how Portland uses their older buildings and "re homes" them for use today. Dinner was served family style and had three choices on the menu and we were able to eat all three choices! Great food.

This was a fun place to visit. Although we have only stopped by for beverages, the selection for those was quite large and good! The dishes looked amazing, and we look forward to going back to try some.

I know the wine should be the star. But the food was surprisingly good. The smoked Caeser Salad was outstanding. The atmosphere was great and very relaxed. It's a huge, open building that used to house an auto maintenance company. I thought my red wine flight was average. But others enjoyed their wines. Definitely would return.

Our party of 5 ate here on a Saturday evening. We started with fried Brussels sprouts and a cheese plate for shared appetizers. Three of us had steak and frittes, which were accompanied by a great sauce and delicious heirloom tomatoes. Another person had a lamb burger and another the shrimp salad. Seats are hard wood chairs... not comfortable.

32 wines on tap, 8 beers on tap and delicious rotisserie meats, plenty of tapas plates or individual selections. A full bar with delightful cocktails, great service. We were a group of six during the first week this new restaurant opened. Service was spot on and so was were the food and drinks. Great selection of wines on tap. Great concept. You don't have to buy a full bottle; 2 oz pour, 8 ounce pour, or carafe of some truly wonderful selections. Same with the micro brews.Very nice choice of well blended cocktails, too. On the menu were succulent, juicy meats, creative salads, a chicken, avocado and slab bacon sandwich that was to die for. A chicken pot pie with wonderfully fluffy light crust. An oyster appetizer was a hit at our table. The chocolate cake and lemon tart for dessert were scrumptious. We'll be back many times. Oh, and the decor was modern and very well done.

A great range of local wines. Coopers offers various "flight" options to taste a selection of wines, with guidance from knowledgable staff. As a couple we chose two different flights and enjoyed tasting 10 different wines. It's a restaurant too!

Uniquely attractive, lively interior space. Well priced, delicious food. Great service! This combination lent to a very special evening with dear friends and family.

My 2 daughters and I went to join my nephew and his family in Portland. We started ordering starters paring with a Rose. Yummy, we just kept going with the food and wine. We were not disappointed with any of it. We did consider the amount of wine served in a very thick bottomed bottle was as over priced, but none the less, very good. We will return on our next visit to the Portland area.

Attended a wedding at Coopers Hall last night. Food & service & variety of wine and beer outstanding. Food is from scratch using local and nearby more organic produce or product. Appetizers exceptional in taste & variety; Fish and meat dishes mouth watering and tender, cooked to perfection. Highly recommend visiting during their normal business hours. You won't be disappointed. Good spots throughout for personal or individual photos.

We had a lovely visit to Coopers. The wine selection was excellently explained and the wine itself delicious. The veggie burgers were a tasty option (watch out for the v salty fries) and the service from Jane really friendly and welcoming. We actually walked to Coopers from downtown Portland. About 25/30 minutes each way. It wasnāt the most scenic walk but was really interesting, out over Burnside bridge and back over Morrison bridge.

They serve all their wines on draught, keeping their wines fresh all the way through and reducing waste with no need for glass bottles. They offer 2oz tasters at a minimal price so you can mix and match your own flights. Had their Malbec and Garnacha, both great choices grown in southern Oregon! Paired them up with some great marinated olives & almonds! Is place has a great selection of wines and a must stop if you love a good glass of wine!! All at very reasonable prices at that!
Wine flight
A friend showed us this spot in Portland one evening. Great drinks list, I opted for a wine flight, which was beautifully presented. 3 out of 4 of the wines were something I'd come back to have a glass of. We just had a small appetizer to share around, but I'd be happy to come back and really try this place out. Very modern, clean and pretty restaurant- they also rent the space out for events which I could see working really well for it. Easy street parking outside, the place was pretty busy when we were there, but we visited in a weekday- I'm sure it's busier on the weekends. Server was nice and informative. I'd come back to this place with a group of friends and to try out some drinks from their cocktail list which looked fun!
