I've been visiting Chicago for a week now and I have gone to the corner bakery for most mornings and sometimes for lunch as I run from one place to another. The service is always excellent and the food is delicious. Not to mention that their staff and friendly and attentive. I would strongly recommend visiting this cafe.

If you have never been to Chicago and find yourself walking up and down Michigan Avenue looking for a quick healthy lunch, this is the place. A bit like Panera but much nicer options. I had the lentil soup. The bowl is a large portion and was excellent. Great place for a solo traveler. All desserts are tasty as well.

We stopped here to warm up on a particularly cold day in May. The service was quite good and friendly. There was a large selection of pastries and sweets. The hot chocolate is quite good, made with whole or 2% milk and truffle chocolate. The atmosphere inside is nice as well.

We visited Chicago last week for 5 days . The Corner Bakery below our hotel was closed for refurbishment but we found this one around the corner on our first morning . Friendly service and food was enjoyable , we had pancakes and eggs and bacon . Popped in one afternoon for some coffee and again service was very good.

We like to grab a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast here or soup and a sandwich for lunch what you would expect from a chain- consistent and fast.

Enjoyed the panini with cheddar and bacon. Service was prompt and nice atmosphere. My associate enjoyed the steel cut oatmeal and the portion was ample. I would and will go back

Good variety of pastries, breakfast food, and cafe drinks. Very fresh food with good customer service.

I like almost every American restaurant, was terrible. The outside seating did not have a good view due to construction however the cafe is nice.

They have good coffee and great pastries that are good for a takeout breakfast, but they also have more full breakfasts with eggs and proteins that one can enjoy at the tables. I liked my scrambler, and I have enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches too.

I'm still going to give this Corner Bakery four stars because we actually come here pretty often and until today have gotten exactly what we order. There must have been some staffing issued on this holiday weekend because first of all they ran out of pretzel bread and we had to wait about 10 minutes for our sandwich. We were fine with that and they offered us water bottles while we waited which was really kind of them. We always do carry-out since we're often headed to the park or back to our apartment a few blocks away. Unfortunately, on this trip, they totally forgot the key ingredient in my chicken pesto sandwich making it just an okay chicken sandwich with no spark. So disappointing. We'll be back because we love Corner Bakery but you can be sure I'm going to double check my sandwich before we walk out the door next time. This Corner Bakery is tucked out of sight but has plenty of seating and the same menu as the others.

We almost always eat breakfast here when we visit Chicago. Their steel-cut oats are very good, as is their yogurt parfait. I also like their scramblers--and their coffee! Davion is always so welcoming and entertaining!

The staff were very busy with customers and each other but when addressed directly were responsive and helpful. I was hoping for more creative baked goods.

This place is fun especially if you're not in a rush. We had some of the breakfast wraps which were very good. It is a great place to people watch and there are free refills on the coffee!!

Excellant breakfast menu. Healthy choices, great coffee. Wait staff are helpful and the food delicious.

I really loved it: friendly staff, especially on the one at 444 North Michigan (just next to the Purple Pig); yummy food, bowl of fruits also. As a tourist, it was great beeing in a place that also Chicagoans frequent a lot. Everyone can find something to his liking!

CBC is like a better fast food restaurant and given it's downtown location it's convenient. The food is great (sandwiches & soup), service is quick and it's a value compared to other restaurants in the area. Seems to be a favorite w/the locals for lunch. I had the Uptown Turkey sandwich which was excellent. Highly recommend the cookies and brownies. It's a good choice for lunch if you want something good, fast & cheap.

Stopped in the Corner Bakery on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I love eating breakfast and was glad to see they serve breakfast all day! The food was tasty, the employees were very friendly, and it was a great place to get in from out of the cold and relax. The food was ready quickly and they had several types of coffee (with plenty to add to it). We accidentally uncovered a gem.

They have some excellent baked products although a small spectrum. Offer a wide range of other things for various meals. Somewhat expensive.

Wonderful place for lunch during a busy shopping day on Michigan Ave. The soups, sandwiches and salads were all great and the service was extremely friendly.

Everything item that’s sold in this place is nothing less than hood. Tried the Santa Fe Ranch Salad and it meets all my taste buds expectation. The location is very clean and welcoming. The staff is polite and the service is fast.

Chicago isn't an easy place to find a decent feed in the morning, but when we stumbled on the Corner Bakery with pancakes and vegetarian options, plus decent espresso coffee we were sold. Clean, friendly, and nice pancakes.

I tried the trio. I chose the quinoa pico, tomato basil soup, and the chicken salad. The quinoa pico was OK, the soup and the salad were HORRIBLE. The chicken salad had almost no chicken, too much mayonnaise and it was too sweet. The tomato soup was the worst tomato soup I've tried in my life. Somehow they managed to make it too salty and too sweet at the same time. It was like eating a hot canned Ragu from the supermarket with too many spices, sugar and salt. And even the canned one tastes so much better.

Good to have a CB so close to everything at the river . Great for a cold or hot drink and a lunch or snack.

During trade shows in Chicago we use this location of CB for our daily breakfasts as the hotel restaurant breakfast is expensive and the hotel lobby quick mart is lousy. At Corner Bakery, they take your order at the counter and deliver the food to your table. Everything we've had here is good. I usually get pancakes, the bacon and cheddar panini, or oatmeal (which is awesome). They even have an online club from which you get discounts, coupons, and free food for your birthday. Other than brownies and cakes, I haven't had anything here other than breakfast.

First time eating at a Corner Bakery. Great alternative to Starbucks and Panera bread. The serve made to order eggs dishes and breakfast sandwiches, with table service. Our server was so enthusiastic and friendly. Food was very good.

I have been to Corner Bakeries in 3 different states, and it is one place I always look forward to enjoying wherever they are located. I normally do not write reviews of larger chain restaurants, but this casual restaurant is very special; this location in Chicago is my favorite, and I make sure I stay in the hotel near here in order to have convenient access. Really you cannot go wrong here. I am absolutely addicted to their black currant tea. The hot oatmeal and cold muesli are both fabulous for breakfast. I've enjoyed the chili both here and in a NY location this fall and winter. The sandwiches are also a good choice--especially on pretzel bread. The pumpkin whoopie pies are hallucinogenic. What can I say, this place leaves me almost speechless--it's all about the little things! I can't imagine visiting Chicago and not enjoying a wonderful meal at a great value while watching the city scenes on the street below. Corner Bakery is the best restaurant for the money wherever you find one!

A great place to have lunch. Variety of soups and salads and sandwiches, coffees, teas, desserts, all at reasonable prices. There is lots of room to sit and we were not feeling crowded. When we walked by around lunch hours-it was very busy there so I think it is very popular. Food was good. I had the macaroni and cheese-delish!

We went here three out of four mornings for breakfast. Many selections and good coffee. this is just one of many location in Chicago. there are as prevalent as Starbuck but with better choices.

My friend and I ate here because we stayed at a hotel just feet away - the service was fast and pleasant, the food was tasty, and the place was clean. Everyone we came into contact with seemed excited to help with anything you could possibly need. Great experience!

Great experience for Our Family coming from a small city in Europe. Even though it was Our first visit it was easy to find Our way how to order Food. The system was logical and the Food was delivered to the table short time after order. We went there both days of Our stay in Chicago, because the kids end we loved it.

We aren't from Chicago but quickly gathered that this local chain is pretty similar to other chains that we do have at home. We went to the counter to order and the first meal ordered, a panini, went fine, but when trying to order a scrambler the cashier insisted they were out of the breakfast potato side... yet when the food came out, there were breakfast potatoes on the plate? I have no idea what happened with that, but our food was very good.

We first visited this outlet five years ago when meeting friends from the UK also in the City. On the way to the Navy Pier this morning, we called in again for coffee and a snack. Disappointingly, they had already sold out of steel cut oats at 10.00am, so I guess popular with office workers. However, the coffee was good and the staff welcoming.

Stopped here for soup and salad on my way back to my hotel. I may have gotten there right before they were closing. The wait was long even though there were only two other people in the place. The Chicken tortilla soup and caesar salad were usual CB fare and good. The crackers for the soup were very stale. I pitched them after getting back to my hotel.

This is in a great location on Michigan Avenue. We stopped for breakfast and both of us ordered an egg dish. As I was getting coffee, a gentleman was just digging into his pancakes. I have to say that they looked wonderful and on a whim, I ordered the buttermilk pancakes. Okay.....without a doubt...they were the best pancakes I have ever had. The fluffiest, lightest, most heavenly pancakes ever. Bacon was crisp and very tasty. The dining room was clean and the employees were delightful! And coffee was great. I had eaten at the Corner Bakery in Atlanta and would not hesitate to search one out in whatever city I was visiting.

This morning my family and I stopped by before heading to the the museums. The staff was so friendly and attentive it was a breakfast conversation topic. Being from the South, we often mistakenly think we have a corner on the politeness market-not true! Thank you guys for modeling perfect customer service.

Visiting from Dallas and stopped in here twice so far. Breakfast is really good. I had the crunchy honey banana oatmeal and it was fantastic. Only 380 calories and around 5 bucks. The man who brought our Order to the table was very colorful and friendly. Will eat here again before we go home!

We are addicted to this Corner Bakery. Every week we meet for lunch and everyone's first choice is always Corner Bakery. The food is awesome, The staff is friendly.

Was visiting Chicago for the weekend and went to the Corner Bakery Cafe for breakfast twice and once for lunch and was happy all three times. The food was reasonably-priced, tasty and prepared as ordered. Like the fact that there a many healthy meal options from which to choose.

I get to Chicago often and try and grab breakfast or lunch at Corner Bakery each time. Fast service and reasonable prices. I love to start my day with a 300 calorie Power panini thin- so tasty. Can't go wrong with any of the salads. Or try the salad/sandwich combo. Love ham on a pretzel bun. Then there are desserts and pastries- yum!

Had the Farmer's scramble and it was really good. Having the gluten free option was great and the bread was good. I was not a huge fan of the coffee, but would give it another chance. I will definately be back for the food.

I wish we had a Corner Bakery where I live. They have a great menu with good variety, the service is good and the food is well prepared and tasty. It's fresh. The coffee is also very good and 'my go' to when I'm in Chicago. This particular place on Michigan lives up to the high standards of the chain. I visited every day of the 5 that I was in Chicago this time. It provided me with the consistent high quality for coffee and quick meals that I like. Highly recommended.

Easy and really good fast food. Order at the counter and they deliver to your table within the time it takes to make your cup of coffee. Usually 3 types of coffee to choose from plus a decaf. They also have 3 types of cream/ milks. Seems to always be busy yet there is always a table available. The food was surprisingly good and half of the price our hotel across the street would have charged, plus it had great windows!

We went here for breakfast and it was great. It has a good selection to choose from and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is a chain restaurant, so not too much character, but if you are just looking for a typical breakfast, this place is great.

Had breakfast every morning for a week. Good place for a light meal. Menu changes later in the day. Interesting. The coffee, like almost every American restaurant, was terrible, but that is the standard in the States. I longed for a good double espresso...

The Michigan Ave location is inside an office building, and once you've found it, you may make more than one visit. Food is varied, tasty, and reasonably priced. Service was prompt, bringing our hot food to the table. We lingered a bit, since it wasn't crowded. Perhaps lunch and dinner are problematic, but our late morning service was just fine!

We visited on a Sunday morning - along with the rest of Downtown Chicago! It wasn't clear if there was table service or not, the tables were not being cleared quickly enough and they were obviously understaffed. However, once we get through the crowds, got served and given our food, we found a table and it was ok, the bustling people hanging around you waiting for you to finish your food put me off a bit but this wasn't the fault of the bakery, we just picked the wrong time!

Waiting for a train at Union Station, I stopped in here for breakfast because it was close. I should have spent a few more minutes finding another place. The staff were friendly enough, greeting me with a smile. They took my order (coffee and a 'Commuter Croissant'. I went over to the coffee urns, but two of them were completely empty. One had about half a cup's worth of coffee, leaving just decaf. I went ahead and filled my cup the rest of the way. When I sat down, I found out that the coffee was lukewarm, at best. When they brought me my food, I wanted to mention the coffee, but the clerk just hurried away. When I bit into the sandwich, the eggs were cold. By this time they were getting busy, so I just left. I definitely won't be stopping in here again. I'm not saying everyone will have a bad experience as I did, but it does seem like you gamble a bit when coming here.

My husband and I popped into the Michigan Avenue location to grab coffee and warm up. Very good spot for a quick snack.

YUMMY Food (Fresh Salads, Sandwiches, & Soups) as well as fresh HOT coffee & homemade pastries! ALWAYS Clean Café & restrooms. Efficient friendly service.

We have often used this chain of cafes/restaurants for lunch as they have some great salads. We shared the Harvest Salad and it was excellent. Fresh, tasty and a good size portion.

This chain of restaurants specializes in sandwiches and soup and you will not be disappointed in either. It began as a bakery supplying local restaurants with bread and then expanded to first selling bread and then to its current restaurant status for lunch and also breakfast. The food is healthy and the service quite good. While you order at a counter, the food is brought to your table and then bused away when you're finished, quite unique from most other restaurants of this type. We had a caprese sandwich, a ham & swiss sandwich and a half sandwich of chicken salad with a bread bowl of chicken tortilla soup. All were very good and quite reasonably priced. The manager stopped by and chatted with us, providing the backround on the restaurant.

Better prices and choices than our hotel next door, but we'll try to find something better. My wife's Anaheim Scrambler (6.99) seemed cold, possibly due to the avacado added on top. My Garden Scranbler (6.79) seemed sort of bland and I'm not sure if the advertised chicken sausage was supposed to be in it or beside it, but I didn't see it. My son's All American Scrambler (6.59) was probably the best appreciated, due to the included side of bacon. All came with toast and fried potatoes that were acceptable. They also had some breakfast sandwiches that were lower priced and maybe a better deal. It's a nice enough cafe, pretty large, inside and outside seating. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest the place to anyone, and I may end up there again, but I'm not eagerly anticipating it.

So I realize that this is a chain but if you have no experience with this eatery be prepared to not have a great experience. Although the staff was friendly they weren't very helpful and we ended up getting our drinks and coffee towards the end of our meal. A bit pricey but the food was good. I recommend you go local and at least put some money in some local's pockets rather than a corporation.

wasnt expecting a lot. had a breakfast panini sanwich which had a great cheddar on it. The roasted potatoes had a lot of onions in them, which i wasnt expecting, it may be how things are done in chicago, i just didnt know, i would have gotten the oatmeal if i had known, it looked really good.

We usually avoid chain restaurants while on vacation but since we don't have these at home we gave it a try. The breakfast sandwiches are so good we had them twice. The coffee and hot chocolate were very good as well. We ate in once and took our second breakfast to go. The service was fast and friendly both times.

Before go to the Skydeck in the morning, we went to Corner Bakery Cafe across Willis Tower. Bakery were very fresh and delicious.

I stopped here a couple times a week when available They now have pancakes which are pretty darn good. Paninis are also really good. Fresh muffins are really good too Great location and a great spot for a quick and easy breakfast

Soup and sandwich combo was very good. The chicken tortilla soup was just spicy enough to be interesting. The blueberry pie was very good.

Delicious menu and very friendly staff! We go there for all breakfast while in Chicago. Prices are not bad!

cinnamon cream coffee cake a must! Breakfast sandwiches also quite tasty. A regular stop for us and we always purchase an entire coffee cake to go.

Their cereals are delicious and fresh. Lovely panini and salad for lunch. We found it a handy spot with quick service.

To be honest, I always go for breakfast to a Corner Bakery Café, if there is one around in town. This one was new to me, the food as good as expected. Location was great to us, just between our hotel and Magnificent Mile. There were not many guest in the morning, so we got our breakfast items pretty fast. Restroom was very clean.

Prior to our trip to Chicago I'd never heard of the Corner Bakery Cafe...now I'm wishing we had this in California! What an awesome place for a quick, delicious start to the day. As the Corner Bakery was right across the street from our hotel we literally went there every day for breakfast. The prices are very reasonable, the food fresh and tasty and the staff really nice. Breakfast each day was approximately $10. - $12. for two. Unheard of in other large cities! Great sandwiches, too. Hope this chain bakery moves West!

They have great baked goods of course, but also a variety of breakfast dishes. Good coffee and convenient location.

Food was hot and tasty. The service was fast and the staffs at the michigan ave location was friendly and helpful. Good quick breakfast on a rainy sunday morning.

We wound up eating breakfast here 2 days in a row. It was the perfect balance of speed, variety and quality. It's a walk-up order/pay counter where they give you a number and then bring your meal out to you. We had a panini, a scramble and pancakes and were all happy with our dishes. Smoothies were good as was the coffee. Lots of breakfast choices including bakery items, which we didn't try, but looked good.

Had 1/2 panini & a cup of soup on a cold day in Chicago. As always, it hit the spot. For a big city, it's reasonably priced.

Great prices and good food for catering breakfast and lunch for larger parties. We had a light breakfast and sandwiches for lunch for meat eaters AND Vegans and it was all tasty.

Had a "breakfast flat" sandwich for late breakfast, my teenage son had a scrambled egg plate. Both were quite tasty and service was very fast. So good that we went to another location of the same branch a few days later for another reliably good lunch

Not familiar with the area, we decided to get to the location of our Wendella boat ride early. Right across the street we found the Corner Bakery. We loved it! The self-serve coffee counter had several blends to choose from and the breakfast was very nice in their outdoor area. There was a beautiful breeze off the water on what turned into a 104 degree day. My husband had bacon and eggs and I found the blueberry muffin too much for one meal. Counting calories and fat content is what a priority on vacation but I couldn't get

We stopped by for some desserts and beverages. They had a lot to choose from and the prices were very good. The prices were lower than those at Starbucks or Panera.

The entrance to this place is shared with apartments which is under construction and we could not tell if it was open. It was not until someone came outside and said they were open. So you walk through this long corridor and there is a reception desk with a receptionist looking at several computer screens. Once you walk past it, you will see the entrance to the restaurant. It feels like you are walking into a Panera, the menu on the wall showing all the calories etc. is the same. I ordered the Avocado & Spinach Power Panini Thin. They give you a number and then bring it to your table once it is ready. The portions are very small. You are given a cup and help yourself to the beverages. I chose the smooth coffee but it was strong and not very good. That said, it is clean, warm and cosy on a cold April morning.

Nice fruit salad. Clean restrooms, which ate not always easy to find. Nice omlette. Nothing outrageous or out of the ordinary. Basic, and acceptable. Lots of space on a Sunday, late morning. Very affordable.17 dollars for 2

There are a lot of these restaurants around the city. I chose a breakfast Panini sandwich and it was good. Fast and not that expensive.

It's Memorial Day weekend, which should be a weekend for record sales if you're a chain with an excellent reputation. I live in Dallas where the food and service are typically exceptional. But this location is an embarrassment to the franchise name. It took 34 minutes to get a sandwich and salad . The salad didn't come out as ordered. There are at least 15 uncleared tables. The cooks in the back are goofing off. There weren't any lids for medium drinks. There weren't any condiments for ice tea. Bad bad experience.

I've been here a few times for breakfast on different family trips and it is consistently good. They have a lot of menu options so that is nice for a group. The service could be a little better (it was slow this time, and we had to ask for some items we ordered that weren't brought initially) but overall I recommend it for a solid breakfast where you're not looking for a special meal.

Had breakfast with family of 5 last week. Wife and I had egg white scramble. Kids had other stuff. Was decent value. Very good location. Also the coffee here was very good. Got a free one the day before with our Big Bus tickets!

Easy breakfast order at the counter and they bring the food to the table. We had a break panini and a blueberry muffin with coffee and juice. Please update the address location is now across the river on Wacker not in Michigan avenue

Easy to get in and out during rushed lunch breaks. Everything fresh, clean, good location, and reasonable prices.

Nothing out of the ordinary for a coffee shop, but no problems either. Coffee was good and nice pastries. Several locations in Chicago.

Went for breakfast. Nice selections, order at the counter, take a number and stick in the holder at an open table. I had a bacon and cheese breakfast panini. Was simple and modest and priced appropriately under $5. I added a nice little fruit cup for another $1. Looks like a good selection of cafe food for any meal. I'd go back. This is located inside the 444 N Michigan Ave building, easy to find. Don't look for the red neon sign on Tripadvisor, didn't see it anywhere.

If you want someplace to have a nutritious and different lunch, you should try this café. There is a limited menu, but each offering is a new spin on an old favorite. You are likely not to be disappointed. The atmosphere is very busy, much hustle and bustle, but you can find a relatively quiet corner. The emphasis is on doing things quickly in this place, so if you want speedy service and a fast response, this could be your place.

Ordered a ciabata club, got a white toast with melted cheese an chicken;. No discussion possible; this was a slice of ciabata

We are here twice on our trip to Chicago. Both times we were looking for a quick bite with our kids. Great menu with lots of kid friendly meals. Breakfast was easy and delicious. Great salads for lunch and kids loved the macaroni and cheese and cookies. Great prices for servings.

We had a party of 6 and an hour to eat during a work conference and we stopped here. We got our food quickly and there was a great option of soup, salad, cold and hot sandwiches. I had the club panini and it was a little greasy but still good!

Loved the smoothies. Really needed a pick me up after a night out in Chi town. It was busy, but the line moved quickly.

We stopped for a quick breakfast and were treated to a decent menu with foods well prepared and tasty, served promptly. This was our most reasonably-priced breakfast of our trip, and it surpassed a considerably more expensive one from a highly-rated breakfast eatery in the area. We'd definitely come back here.

We use these from time to time and the food is good and the service usually OK for an order at the counter joint. This one has a pretty good view. Their prices are always high for what they offer, but then so are most of their chain competitors. We certainly like these better than Panera Bread. This one wasn't very clean which is surprising in that it is in a high security building.

We got a box of muffins to go for a business breakfast and the cinnamon muffin was absolutely amazing in my book. I would go there again just to get that muffin~

The apple cranberry pancakes were awesome. The scrambled eggs could have been cooked a bit more, but overall - very good. The space was clean and lots of sitting area for what I'm sure is a hefty crowd during the week. I look forward to visiting another Corner Cafe in another location.

Had a great meal, and more important, excellent service by the manager. I wanted to change my order after it was placed. It came out while I was talking to the manager and even though it was ready, he graciously changed it for me.

We were two couples looking for a late lunch around 1:30 on a Monday. The place was not busy and the food was great. It is a little pricey though, but I am not from a big city. Our lunch was $25.00 for 2 soup & sandwich plates with fountain drinks. The other couple had just sandwiches and drinks and their bill was $19.00.

We were in Chicago for a trade show and this is our meet-up place for breakfast each morning. Everyone loves it. My favourite thing to have was breakfast flat with steel cut oatmeal. The oatmeal is done just right. You go to the counter to be served, they give you your coffee right away, but you take a number to put on your table, and they will come to you with the food when it is ready. There are lots of tables inside and tables outside for when it is nice. I hope I got the location correct, we were staying at the Hard Rock Hotel and it was an easy walk from there.

We had breakfast here twice and the food was great both times. Service is friendly and efficient and if you want a high carbohydrate, high protein start to the day, look no further than the Farmer's Scrambler- scrambled eggs, peppers, mushrooms, onion & cheddar, served with fried potatoes. Top it off with an orange juice and a coffee and you're set up for the day.

with everything - this place is for you. It was disjointed in ordering and getting coffee in a corner -- to me the set up was odd. Every breakfast sandwich had scrambled eggs and it was a limited menu. We only went once.

We enjoyed our pastries and cookies and tt was in an ideal location. The outside seating did not have a good view due to construction however the cafe is nice.

This outlet tended to be quieter than other we had visited as it is tucked away but it's still on the Magnificent Mile. The food was delicious, very reasonably priced and an extensive menu to choose from. Staff were great and even remembered us from a couple of days before.

Had lunch with the family. Sandwiches were great and staff was helpful. The gentleman who brought our sandwiches came back after noticing we forgot to get napkins. He brought them to us without asking. Overall, food came out quick, it was tasty and not expensive. Nice spot for lunch.

I was visiting from Honolulu, Hawaii and complete lost when it came to place to order lunch for my high end travel agency. I always worry about ordering sandwich for the fear of being cheap. However, Corner Bakery was top notch. Delicious, affordable and on time delivery with a great presentation of food/desserts. Many location to pick from, so delivery was easy.

Great cafes with good fresh food and great service. Always busy and popular. Several locations peppered throughout the city. Shout out to Lola and Ondre at this location. We arrived hoping for breakfast but we're a little late . No problem---Ondre(?)ust switched the menus around so that we could choose from breakfast items and did so with a smile. Talk about rolling out the red carpet! Very cute interior, clean, reasonable.

We stopped for a light breakfast and coffee. Charming place with friendly customer service and a nice view on Michigan Avenue.

Very convenient to our hotel. Delicious food., clean environment. Always pleasant personnel. Food is well-priced.

When I'm in Chicago, CBs are my go to when I want a fast breakfast. This store wasn't busy on a Tuesday at 7am, so my flat bread with chicken sausage came out quick. $5.56 with coffee.

Nice place for a quick breakfast before a windy open top bus tour. Try the smoked bacon panini and the honey and oatmeal breakfast. A place we will use again.

We found this convenient location at the Michigan and E. Wacker Dr. intersection. Ordered a ham/cheese sandwich. Service is slow. The sandwich was mediocre. This looks like more of a fast food type of business. I would not recommend.

Was looking for a departure from the standard hotel breakfast fare, & Corner Bakery fit the bill. Nice variety of convenient breakfast offerings. I highly recommend the eggs and French toast.

Even though this is a chain, we ate there because we don't have it at home. I wish we did have one because the cinnamon coffee cake looked fabulous!

We have been there several times for breakfast and were always absolutely satisfied with it. The food (for example pancakes with eggs and bacon, the chilled swiss oats or the farmers scrambler with potatos and toast) were super delicious and the servings were really suffiicent.

Very similar to Panera's, it's easy to pick up a quick and inexpensive meal here. Was comforted by access to berry/granola/yogurt and cinnamon raisin bagels. Went more than once as it was within walking distance of our hotel and was dependable from one day to the next.

Try the bacon and egg panini ! Really tasty and great value for money! We loved rating there in the morning

I stayed at a hotel across the street for a while so I used this location often during my stay and I was never disappointed with the food or the service!

I went here for my lunch/dinner as I was too late for lunch and too early for dinner. I had a very busy day this day, and it was only when I looked at my watch, I realised that I hadn't eaten. I read the reviews prior to travel and saw where it was on my first day. The food was great and service was really good too!

Look these guys are all over the place, but, for a chain, they are doing some nice things. The place is consistently clean. The service team are great at what they do, And I particularly loved my orange and pineapple smoothie so much I had a second one later in the day,

We were so glad to spot the Corner Bakery while eating at the Purple Pig the night before we went to there. We were glad to know that in this high end neighborhood we could have an option for a breakfast or lunch that was reliable and wouldn't break our bank account. We had a lunch and it was as delicious as always!

We were told that this is the east coast's answer to Panera's. I actually think it had better offerings for breakfast than Panera's does. We both had an omelet and coffee. It's a nice roomy spot, unlimited GOOD coffee, and the food was better than I had expected it to be!!

We had an cinnamon role and and a blueberry muffin, coffee and milk. Very good, fast service, polite. seem to be all over the loop area. Recommend

Had a Bagel and cream cheese, ordered at counter and delivered to table; servers were pleasant; line moved quickly.

Great place to grab a quick bite, frappe or coffee to go while you sight see along Michigan avenue. I grabbed a breakfast panni and caramel frappe before hitting the streets, it was reasonably priced and hit the spot. The also have lots of healthy choice options as well.

excellent for breakfast. clean place, good menu with a lot of options. it is a little tricky to find it the first time

The food service quite slow and we barely got a table for breakfast. I have never been asked if I had a reservation for breakfast before! Anyway we got a table, and the interior is quite nice. The waiter was friendly and efficient and kept the coffee refills coming, which I really appreciated. My colleague got the burger for breakfast and loved it. I got the oatmeal, which was quite satisfying. All in all, a great place.

The food was tasty, I had the spinach crispy salad and a tomato basil soup. I felt that the soup was a bit sweet, as if it had sugar. The salad was great and just the right size for lunch. The service was quick and efficient, and very friendly. The seating was nice, I sat near the window with plenty of lighting. The seats look a bit shabby with holes in them. While there were plates left on some of the tables, when my meal arrived the waiter took them away.

We ate breakfast at the Corner Bakery twice during our visit. The first time was a bit of a learning curve as you have to learn the flow of the service, where to pick up specialty drinks, and the details of the menu - all while moving along in the line. On our second visit we knew how to order stronger coffee (ask for 2 shots in a large cup to which you will pour your own brewed coffee), and what food items were their best choices (pannini breakfast sandwiches, egg dishes with wheat toast). The line moves fairly quickly, however, the placement of the service line is awkward and puts you in an obstructing position if you need time to figure out the menu. There are Corner Bakeries all over Chicago which is a nice convenience, however, if this was located next door to a Panera Bread I'd have to choose Panera Bread for its slightly more flavorful selections.

Stop by while I was in downtown. I had the Chicken Pomodori and the ?????? Tea..... It was called mamborliam lime or something like that. SORRY cant remember.......but it was definitely some of the best blends I've had. And I heard they are all pretty intriguing flavors. The panini was very good, just wish I had a little more chicken. It was like it was a slice of a chicken breast rather than an actual whole one.

the food was excellent and the paninis were worth it. Our server was great and very informative, the soup was excellent and the salads were also superb.

I had the chopped salad and a hours later, I got the runs. Stomach was bad for two days. Guy cooking in the back was hacking and open-air sneezing. Maybe this was just one time, but I won't go back.

Love this place! Breakfast is fast, full of excellent choices and good coffee! Don't forget the Caramel Cream Cake - actually a streusel-type coffeecake that is so yummy, you might wind up taking whom a whole cake (which is a steal for what they charge!). Excellent pick-two lunches as well. Great soup/salad/1/2 sandwich combos. Definitely a lower-priced option in Downtown Chicago!

Hubby and I stopped here for lunch - ordered soup and salad. Every item tasted good and since the restaurant was empty, we enjoyed our meal in solitude. I also recommend the baked goods, the bread crisps are my favorite!

Coffee was great but got order wrong and the attitude was not very nice. As if we were putting them out of their way for their mistake. Can reccomend Lemon Pound cake and Cinnamon Crumble cake. Massive portions

We enjoyed our light breakfast at Corner Bakery. We had the Morning Rush - which is coffee and a muffin (or bagel). Other times we have had their eggs - which are a smaller order - but good for us. I always like that Corner Bakeries have pics of the neighborhood they are in. This one has Chicago wallpaper. Very large dining room too with free self-service refills of coffee.

went twice for breakfast, food fresh and hot, service really good, friendly and nice start to the day

Don['t know how many of these cafes there are in Chicago, but there is one inside the building at 444 Michigan Avenue and it serves excellent breakfasts at about half the cost of those at nearby hotels. You won't be disappointed.

The breakfast menu options are amazing and very affordable. My go to after a night out. For lunch, love the panini.

I visited this shop with my niece to take a breather and recharge over some pastries and (for me) coffee. It was nice to find a cafe that was a bit more regional than Starbucks. We were not disappointed! The cafe was large and relaxed, and we really enjoyed the fare. I got a little bundt cake with lemon and blueberries, which paired really nicely with my coffee (which is self-serve.)

We were staying at The Gwen and so glad we found this cafe. We thought the service was excellent and the food good. It's not gourmet but not trying to be either! Just simple but tasty and quick. We had a coffee each plus a breakfast bap and fruit for under $14... much cheaper than our hotel!

We stopped at the Corner Bakery Cafe with friends for breakfast. Busy and bustling there were a great deal of choices to pick from. You order at the counter, pay and are given a number. A server than brings you your food. Our food was very good, fresh and hot. Unfortunately, both couples orders were incorrect (one a the counter ordering and one at the table) and had to be brought to the managers attention. Fortunately, she was very pleasant and quick about fixing the issues. We would definitely go back and be careful we get what we ordered. There are quite a few of these restaurants around Chicago. We went to the one on Wacker.

All of the Corner Bakeries are very good. Fresh, tasty, and unique offerings. I've never had bad service at any of these places so well worth stopping by for lunch.

We visited here last Monday am and it was a very bad experience. Having placed our order, I wanted decaf coffee. It is self serve, and there was no decaf to be found. I asked them about it and they said they would get a new urn in a few minutes. Meanwhile, the urn of coffee my husband wanted was empty. It took 20 minutes before they addressed it. We were with my son and partner and we ordered 2 panini and 2 scramblers. After a 30 minute wait, they finally appeared with 2 panini and 1 scrambler. We told them we needed one more scrambler. Another 25 minutes went by and no breakfast. By this time we had all finished eating, except for the one person without food! My husband's scrambler was also cold when he got it so he was not a happy camper. After a couple of attempts to get the missing meal, it finally appeared with an apology, some potatoes on the side as "compensation" and some coupons. Potentially, this is a great chain, we have been to other excellent ones, but this one needs to seriously get organized. There seemed to be lots of personnel but not working effectively. Would never go back to this particular cafe......it was a disaster.

It was a cold 23 degrees outside so we tucked into this eatery that are located all over Chicago in the most unexpected areas for just the right price for our standards. Good food and able to sit down in a warm place. We had the french toast with apple wood bacon nice pieces of french toast that was baked in egg more like a loaf (hearty) and delicious. I had the eggs with those potatoes and the serving was hearty & eggs scrambled nicely. Nice place to get a hearty good breakfast with the overpriced for these items.

My partner and I visited this Corner Brakery Cafe on our recent trip for a lighter breakfast. It was the perfect balance of speed, variety and quality. It's a walk-up order/pay counter where they give you a number and then bring your meal out to you. I had the parfait - yoghurt, fruit and granola. It was delicious and made a change from the eggs, full cooked breakfast option. I would recommend this as a place to do for breakfast / coffee.

Good soups & sandwiches. Somewhat like Panera. Fast, convenient and reasonably priced. Kid friendly too. Right across from the Intercontinental Hotel on Michigan Ave., which is convenient for a quick lunch or breakfast.
Good value, menu options, service
We had breakfast here all four days we were in Chicago. They have delicious steel-cut oatmeal with craisins, almonds, and other goodies. The Anaheim panini is also an excellent choice. The staff at this location is great. Davion is one-of-a-kind, but Antonia also does a very good job!
