wow, crowded but why?

By ALFRED N |

the place is open only for breakfast and lunch. we went in on a recommendation from our realtor to have breakfast. the place was very very busy but we did get a table without a big wait. i don't get it. $13 for 1 and 1/2 slices of thin french toast without a thing with it.. not a strawberry or orange slice or anything. yes, food was good and so was service, but what's the big appeal? for that kind of money, i'd go to thumbs up in decatur in a heartbeat. much more food, much less money. but, i guess i'm in the minority on this one given the pack of people there.

Unexpected

By beachloverxo |

We were looking for somewhere to have breakfast. It is a nice, casual restaurant with a great bakery. It took about 10 minutes for us to be seated. Crepes and avocado meals were good, but portions small especially in relation to the price. Dining room is a little loud and tables are close together. We would recommend this place as a good option for breakfast and plan to go back and try the bakery.

Great breakfast

By Dionne P |

This is a great little café. It is a very laid back environment where nothing feels rushed but you're not waiting long periods of time for your food. The omelet was cooked perfect! No brown, the veggies were crisp and fresh and the cheese was really good quality. The smoked salmon was fresh and so were all the toppings on the platter. I must say I really enjoyed the breakfast potatoes. When we were about done with breakfast the waitress got us a cup of coffee to go without even asking her to do so.

Do not come for Sunday brunch!

By JLS J |

Horrible wait time even with a reservation and then 30 more minutes for food to arrive. Place is an organizational disaster. Food is fine but not worth the hassle and noise level.

Not for busy people

By Sita N |

I came to Buckhead with my sister and Uncle for brunch after church. First impression was great. The person at the front was efficient in getting us a table in under 10 minutes with no reservations. However after we ordered our food the wait was quite long. It took 20-30 minutes to get our food. After finally getting our food the waitress forgot to bring us utensils and got our order wrong. Adding another 20-30 minutes to our wait to actually get food in our system. I don't recommend if you are in a rush or hate waiting because it gets very frustrating. Food was all that great either. P.S: im only in Atlanta for a visit. I actually live in Connecticut.

Very Good!

By golfingirl2 |

First time to visit and we will return. Nice offerings on the sandwich menu, but we both ordered a half sandwich plate...you can choose from ANY side, any sandwich, and any salad....full size servings with the exception of the half sandwich and it was large enough to be called full size. I had the tuna melt (delicious....almost chicken salad flavored) and my husband had the Cuban. It is a sister property with Buckhead Diner and other restaurants. Tried the Buckhead Diner the next day and we won't go back there.

Perfect Eggs BenedictI

By Randall O |

I've been going to this cafe for occasional breakfasts for nine years. It's had a few bumps in the road, but the last visit was top shelf. I had the traditional eggs benedict and they were darn near perfect. The taste and texture were excellent. The sauce could have used a bit of cayenne and more lemon, but it's as good as you can expect for commercial food service. I will definitely go back.

Ok place - nothing great

By boating2010 |

Since this location is in Buckhead, the prices are inflated, so be prepared. The food was average but the service was very good. It's a cafe so the atmosphere is fun. I won't return, but it was worth a try.

Filthy and rude

By matoddlemley |

I was very surprised and disappointed in this Buckhead Life restaurant. I was seated in an area that had at least 5 dirty tables in my sight. The entire time I was there they were never cleaned. the service was slow plus I had the pleasure of listening to the hostess complain about others in the restaurant. The most disappointing aspect is I did notify Niko Karatassos of my problems by email who promptly responded to ask for my phone number so we could discuss my experience. I did this on September 24th, It is now October 1st and I have not heard a peep. If management does not care why should the staff?

Breakfast

By CR1325 |

While in town for the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP we had breakfast at the Buckhead Bread Company. Prices were ok and the menu is a bit on the upscale side. I had bacon, eggs and a bagel and everything was a la cart. We were seated immediately but service was just ok. Give it a try if your in the area.

Good Brunch Location Ruined by Long Wait

By Dealmaker |

Weekends is not the time to try the Corner Cafe. We waited over 50 minutes once we placed our order until our food arrived. It was not the fault of the server, but it did not take a scientist to see the kitchen was the issue. The food is good, but not worth waiting as long as we did for the food to be served. Weekends is not the time to dine at tis restaurant. The manager did come over to apologize once we complained and they took care of our meals.

Caring Staff Made our Trip!

By TALLGIRL7 |

Today we had an excellent experience at the Corner Cafe in Buckhead. First, let’s review the food. The food was great. The fruit crepe was delicate and delicious. Hubby had the lamb sandwich. He raves all day about the tender lamb and the savory toppings. We also enjoyed the Nutella Waffle with pecans and marshmallows. It was a sweet breakfast! Even though the food is delicious, the thing that will be bringing us back is the super service and caring spirit of the management and the staff. We were visiting Atlanta and realized we didn’t Print our tickets for the Atlanta History Museum. I asked the barista where we could go and print the tickets. She suggested that perhaps the manager could help. A little while later, Stephanie came to our table and offered to help. She gave me her email, printed the tickets and brought them to me in a nice folder. She wouldn’t accept a tip, but I can’t let her kindness go unreported! Thank you Corner Bakery for making our visit to Atlanta a friendly and satisfying one. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely Fantastic!

My wife and I had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful breakfast at the Corner Cafe & Buckhead Bread Company on our way home from Buckhead, GA the other day. The atmosphere is bright and airy, with lots of sunlight streaming through - it just feels like a morning should feel. We were greeted quickly and warmly by the hostess, who seated us by a nice window. Our server, Roberto, was personable, professional, and friendly. He had a great vibe and some really cool looking glasses with green lenses. At one point another server named Jumani saw me looking around as if I needed something, and stopped by to see if he could help. He wasn't even our server - what great teamwork! When I asked him if I could have some butter, he asked me if I needed more than what was right in the caddy on my table. I should have felt embarrassed, but he did this is such a way that did not make me feel embarrassed at all, and we all got a good laugh out of it. He had a wonderful way about him that made us feel great. The wonderful service from these two young men only served to enhance the food experience, which was also amazing. I had the Corned Beef Hash, with two poached eggs, topped with perfectly prepared hollandaise sauce. The cheddar grits were nicely cooked and flavorful. A perfect compliment to the meal. The thin toast was pressed to give it extra texture. My wife had the egg sandwich with the most amazingly fresh, ripe tomato. She loved it, along with the breakfast potatoes. The coffee was good, and plentiful. At the end of the meal the Manager, Taylor Knox, stopped by our table to see how we enjoyed our meal. Talk about personable, he had the kindest personality. We talked for awhile and we found out that this was the first job he's had in 8 years. When I asked about that, he told us that he had been serving our country, overseas. He shared some stories, and we told him how much we appreciated his service. He told us that he had been planning to go back as an outside security contractor but that while he was tending bar at one of the Buckhead Life Group restaurants, the owners came upon him, and asked him to join the company. What a great find for the company, and for all the customers and employees that come into contact with this fine young man. As you can probably tell, I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. When you go, ask for Taylor Knox and say hello. He and the team will take good care of you.

Good

By Expattraveler100 |

Our server Freddy was excellent today - courteous, great service. The chef burned the grits today and we sent them back but for fresh fruit instead - nothing was too much trouble. Nice breakfast, easy parking - and buy bread or desserts to take home from the adjoining bakery afterwards!

Great lunch

By Thomas M |

Stumbled under in this place. Clean. The staff very attentive. Never let me run out of coffee and water. Shrimp and grits delicious. A little pricey but worth it

Hey..was that Sandra Bullock I just saw??

By FoodRateHer |

We had a craving for their fried green tomato BLT and wasn't disappointed. Large servings, so don't over do it. When we plopped down, we swore the lady sitting down the banquette way was none other than Sandra Bullock. Gorgeous of course and I almost took a selfie with her in the background, but alas, when she looked our way - it wasn't her. Darn, but hey, the potato leek soup was great as was the bread basket. Quality has gone down a bit, the banquettes are a little dirty (the upholstery needs to be cleaned), but otherwise a good place to catch a soup, sammy, salad combo and a nice cappuccino.

Great Place To Get Bread To Go

By hcohn31 |

After dining at Buckhead Diner across the street I always like to stop here for bread to go,,,sandwich sliced..pumpernickel is the best

good bakery, restaurant less than before

By dustmon |

We have a Buckhead Life dining card, so used it for lunch where the waiter (Ciprian) started off wrong by calling my wife and I guys (My wife hates being called a guy) and then argued with us after we pointed it out. My cuban panini was good, spicy and juicy with a small salad, but her vegetable soup tasted canned---the sage iced tea was very good. Stopped at the bakery for dessert and was impressed as always by the lady who always seems to be there---got a delicious blueberry danish and some brownies that are always good. As an afterthought, the menu did not have any breakfast items which we might have ordered, but saw the next to us lady get it---guess she knew better.

Best breakfast in a long time

By John F |

We were in Atlanta last weekend for a wedding and were looking for a breakfast place on Saturday morning. After reading the positive reviews, we decided to give Buckhead Bread Company & Corner Cafe a try. We loved teh large menu of creative dishes, and everything was wonderful. On top of that, the service was excellent. I had the Traditional Eggs Benedict with asparagus, and loved every bite of it. I highly recommend this place!

GREAT BREAD, SPECIAL BREAKFAST

By 500Fraser |

the Buckhead Life bread bakery, top, top quality, fair prices, great breakfast and brunch, have gone since opened, they did a great job for our Easter presentation, Tom and Tevie Fraser

Nice place....can't wait for my next visit.

By Kristy H |

We usually always go to Another Broken Egg when we are in Atlanta since they don't have a location when I live. However, we decided to try a new place this time around. I am glad that we did. I much rather eat here. This was my first time here. They put mini muffins out of the table for you as soon as you get there. The muffins are to die for. I had the "two pan fried eggs grilled cheese BLT with no T. The grits were amazing and cooked all the way. {most places don't cook grits long enough}. The menu has so many amazing looking items. I can't wait to go back to try a few more. One of the best parts was---no wait for a table. Usaully, we wait 45 minutes on a table at Another Broken Egg. The Buckhead Bread Company has more food options also. I just loved everything about it. It is a little pricey as someone had mentioned already....worth the money to me.

Perfect Sunday brunch

By harsh1302 |

Buckhead bread is a perfect brunch spot for Sunday morning. Love there veggie omelette. Excellent customer service throughout the experience.

Amazing Breakfast

By fsophia1313 |

Today we arrived at the Buckhead Bread Company and Corner Cafe. We arrived slightly after breakfast ended at 11am. Our server asked the kitchen could they make us breakfast. They did, and our pancakes, fresh berries and chicken sausage was really good. The food and service was really good, but you have to use a barcode to pay your bill. No one told us this. Otherwise, a good dining experience.

Yum!

By bkdj96 |

Great breakfast- everything we had was delicious . Pancakes I felt were overpriced- $10 for basic pancakes? They were good for sure, but I've had better. The almond croissant- wow!

Love this for breakfast!

By LanSluderBelize |

Three of us had breakfast here on a Saturday morning. The menu was a brunch menu with few regular breakfast items, but our friendly waitress said we could order a regular breakfast a la carte. I had two eggs over easy, the salt and pepper potatoes, sausage patties (I got three huge, delicious patties), wheat toast and coffee. Wow! This was great. My friends got similar meals, except with bacon and scrambled eggs. It was all perfectly prepared. The hostess and waitress were cheerful and friendly. The coffee, from Martinez, was extraordinary. All in all this is a great spot for a weekend breakfast. (I'm told it is more of Buckhead power breakfast place on weekdays.) It is a little more expensive than most (our three breakfasts came to about $48 before tip).

Made me sad

By Kim B |

I loved this place when it first opened--it was a fave spot for lunch with my mother--and admit it's been quite a while since I've been. But was in the neighborhood with two hungry kids and a Buckhead Life gift card burning a hole in my pocket... It looks a bit run down. Lackluster service. (In 5 minutes three dishes were broken and a couple had their drinks spilled on them. I know this could happen anywhere, but, remember when Buckhead Life was home to the best servers in the city?) Having said all that, food was pretty good (if not great and incredibly overpriced) and bread was wonderful, as always.

Quick service for lunch take-out

By Ljh |

Picked up a Salad/Sandwich combo to bring back to my nearby hotel. Very affordable and tasty options. Calorie counts are noted which can be helpful.

A mixed review

By FlaBama |

Had breakfast there on Sunday past. The food as usual was excellent. I had the white cheddar chorizo girts, with pan poached eggs, bacon and a bagel. All great. However the service was abysmal. I was seated after a brief wait and then the problems began. The table next to me and I both had to waive down waitstaff. Finally one waiter took our drink orders then another long wait. Another waiter took our meal orders but again we both had to ask for silverware and napkins neither of which we received. Food arrived by a third party and finally the manager brought my check. I informed him about the problems which he acknowledged and apologized for but seemed to have no resolution at hand. Not a happy visit, however I will try once again in the future.

Yummy!

Fruit juice punch delicious! Crispy potatoes and peppers wonderful! If I lived nearby I'd spend lots of money in this cafe!

TERRIBLE SERVICE and average food!!!!!

By Blacksheep101 |

What a horrible experience this was - we stopped here on a Sunday morning to eat before a 7 hour drive back to NC. What a MISTAKE! The restaurant was almost empty - which should have been our first hint that this place was awful - it took us 15 minutes to get coffee and our orders taken and another HOUR to get our food. After we complained to the waiter, the manager came over and was an absolute joke - she actually blamed the waiter for not putting the order in on time and said that she was sorry and promised we would have a better experience the next time we came back!!!! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK, so that won't matter. We paid almost $60 for a sub-par breakfast that we could've gotten quicker somewhere else. Don't waste your money!

unfair seating

By frank c |

I made a "preferred seating reservation" for 3 people for noon, arrived 10 minutes early with 5 names on the list. At 12:15 our party was at the top of the list only to watch a large party be seated ahead of us. The "list" was redone 4 times and when we were skipped again at 12:40. I said to my party lets leave and "I will burn them on Tripadvisor" a table became available. The manager came to my table and wanted to set me straight and I had to tell him the second time to leave. my food was good but the other two members food was overdone. In the past the food has been great and service was good most of the time, but this blatant discrimination in seating is a fatal flaw that I will not accept regardless of how good the food is. I will find a new restaurant to go to before the theater!

The best lunch!!

By David F |

The best place for lunch - Chicken and Tuna salad outstanding - also Portobello mushroom sandwich outstanding. service great - get some bread to/go -

Amazing Bread

By Jeremy C |

We stop here any time we are in the area to pick up a couple of loaves of bread. Amazingly rich and tasty and highly recommended!

Consistent Service

By Arnold |

The location and parking are good. The service can be spotty and slow, sometimes not very friendly. The food is consistent in quality and I come here regularly for the convenience. It is a good place for a breakfast or lunch meeting.

Lovely lunch

By MrsControlFreak |

Have been before for brunch, but this time it was lunch. Very nice, great bread and fantastic flavourful burger. Good service too.

Good find for breakfast

By Linda D |

Met friends here for breakfast while staying nearby. Convenient with easy parking with cheery atmosphere. Service was spotty considering it was not too busy but food was good. I would go back.

Acceptable

By bristolpj |

As part of the Buckhead Life group we expected more but it was accceptable. Good bakery items but we ate lunch, a Turkey and Brie Melt on a Brioche bun was good, tasty with a side of Sweet Potato fries, and the Sauteed Shrimp Tacos were good, if a little on the cold side. Coffee was OK although we had to ask for a refill. Service was a little slow. Not cheap but it is Buckhead.

Great food

By Phil A |

We had a lovely brunch here with great service! The mini muffins are great and I loved the eggs benedict! Definitely worth a visit.

Could have been better

By CRLsrating |

I can definitely understand all of the other reviews for this place, both positive and negative. We made reservations for priority seating, which really didn't matter because we still had to wait for a table and it seemed as if we were placed in line just like those without reaervations. Although our server was very attentive, the table across from us did have to flag someone down to get their order. The food was just okay. I ordered the egg BLT, but the "B" was basically missing. We ordered lemonade for the kids, which cost more than their actual meal. It came in a small kids cups for $3.25, and we were charged the same amount again for a refill! Would definitely go back just to try the bakery.

Lunch date

By Anthony D |

Great lunch atmosphere and service. Perfect location to go shopping after an nice lunch to burn off the calories...Lenox Mall is five minutes away

Went back after years and it has changed a lot , overprice and overrated.

By Gaby S |

Went with a friend, since we were late for breakfast we didn't have many choices but server was nice and got some stuff to eat. Got the best Bloody Mary in a long time. not impress with the food

Great breakfast resturant

By Jessica M |

We stopped at the resturant for breakfast on New Year's Eve. The staff was patient and managed the large waiting crowd with ease. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. Our waiter was very helpful and polite.

Great place for a business breakfast!

Pano's wonderful breakfast location is usually uncrowded. Great breakfast selections and good coffee. Service is attentive and the quality of the food is consistently very good. Enjoy

Great Place for Brunch & Lunch

By Ahg2 |

Have been here twice recently. The lunch menu has excellent salads and sandwich options. The Tomato Bisque/Grilled Cheese is great option. Be aware that some of the salads are not available for weekend brunch

Great food and Maitri d' very helpful

By BJCtravelin |

We had a birthday celebration here- For a brunch in Buckhead it is not easy to make a reservation. Although not a formal reservation they have priority seating which worked well. The food was very good and management was awesome.- service was a bit erratic but the balance made up for it👍

Great breakfast!

By BeingGreen |

I love sitting at a table by the window in this great breakfast/brunch spot on a Saturday morning. I have never had a disappointing meal here and enjoy stopping by the bakery on the way out to grab something for later. On this visit I had the vegetable omelette with a side of bacon. I was asked crispy or soft for the bacon and wish I had said soft as the bacon was black in some places—so much so that I only ate half of two slices. So you may want to ask for crispy but not burnt. Other than that the coffee was excellent, the omelette superb and the creamy grits were delicious. They start you off with a plate of small muffins. My favorite is the banana one. The waitress was friendly and attentive keeping our coffee cups replenished and making sure we had everything needed. I wish the paper box selling the AJC was still at the back door as I miss reading the newspaper while I linger over breakfast—maybe its removal helps tables turn faster but I do miss it. This has been a dependable place for me and I have had many business lunches here. Parking is plentiful and it does get busy at times—earlier is usually better than later as far as walking right in and being seated in the mornings

Fast and Delicious

By JFSoccerCoach |

Sunday at 10am. No waiting. Fast service. Excellent food. Definitely on the loud side but they make up for that in the quality and the taste of the food.

Great food; great service!!!

By Robert D |

Recently, traveling from NC, my wife and I spent a three day weekend in Buckhead visiting our daughter. We stopped at this wonderful Cafe one morning and enjoyed a magnificent breakfast. Given Covid, the seating was spaced properly. We were seated in a very comfortable half booth, which was perfect. Anyway, our breakfast was exceptional. We particularly loved the Traditional Eggs Benedict and Avocado Egg Toast. Since I burned a lot of calories helping my daughter's new roommate move in (are your buying this?), I splurged on mouth watering Cherry Danish. Yummy!!! :) Now, throw in the piping hot fabulous coffee.......and it doesn't get much better!! Given our amazing server and the very warm and engaged maitre 'd at the Corner Cafe, we will definitely return. Can't wait!

Breakfast, Lunch and Baked Goods are Superb

By DoctorVincenzoVonCueBall |

If you can't go to Europe for baked goods but are stuck in Atlanta this place has fine pastry chef level baked goods. Whenever I am on 75 heading North I always stop for a bag of goodies as best in the south. Breakfast and lunch all quite tasty.

Expensive but very good

By Stephen L |

I have eaten here a number of times, mostly for business meetings. The food, coffee and service is very good. It does come at a price that is slightly on the more expensive side. With that said, I will be going back again.

Buckhead breakfast treat

By claoudycat |

My friend and I were able to share the excellent vegetarian omlette--the servings are huge! Ask for goat cheese instead of cheddar. Home fries very good...but could have been hotter. Fresh orange juice size was enormous--so we shared that too! Sound quality very good, and booths well spaced apart. All in all.without coffee, the bill came to $20 for 2 of us--cheaper than our hotel breakfast! Nice, bright atmosphere with intriguing bakery items.... I would go back!

Brunch

By Fabrice W |

Service was good but the food more than average. Weak coffee I did not think would still be served in 2016 and the French toast had some much cinnamon that my daughter did not finish her plate. $100 without tips... We will not come back

Great spot for breakfast snd brunch!

By MMM |

Excellent breakfast/brunch spot. Highly recommend their Nutella Belgian waffle, cheese grits, chicken & waffles, and their fabulous, perfect layered and laminated, flaky croissants!

Good food but.......

By Trion |

I have been to the Corner Cafe on Piedmont Road about 3 times in the last 6 weeks. They have an excellent breakfast and brunch and the lunch menu is solid with sandwiches and salads. The food is excellent. But the service has not been very good on at least two occasions. Once my entree came out before my appetizer. The waiter just shrugged and didn't apologize or anything. Today our waiter had to be reminded to bring us napkins and silverware and didnt bother to offer a bread basket. Also my son ordered pancakes and bacon and was told they were no longer serving pancakes. He then changed his order to chicken fingers. They brought the bacon along with chicken and fries?! My wife's order was wrong two different ways as well. They did take that off the bill which we appreciated. So the food is very good but they need to do a better job of managing their staff.

Pumpernickel rolls, corned beef hash, cinny buns, eggs benny, grits -- yes!

By Julian W |

We Open Tabled our reso because we read the lines were long. Not on a Sunday at 10 am. Seated right away on the patio. Amazing homemade corned beef hash -- which we ordered as a side. I also ordered pumpernickel rolls and a cinnamon bun as a side. Delicious. Made here. My honey had eggs benny with lump crap. Delicious. I had eggs benny with ham, asparagus and grits under them ( I think) and that was delicious. Ordered at $10 pot of Kenyan XX coffee cause we thought it would be strong, and rich and deep. Nope. Go with another choice if that's what you're looking for. Go to the pastry and bread counter and take in the beautiful stuff there. An excellent meal. THey also had soups, sandwiches, lunch items including chicken and lamb. We'll be back.

Delicious!

By klgilbert |

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and we received excellent service. Some of the best pancakes I have ever had, and I consider myself a pancake connoisseur!

Delightful place to meet

By Traveling Coach |

I met an old fraternity brother for breakfast to discuss some business opportunities. I had not been to the Corner Cafe in quite a while and was pleased to see that it still offered the neighborhood charm and warm hospitable service. The fresh baked goods add to the ambiance of the restaurant and made me hungry. The Cafe is quiet enough to have a private discussion and the service was excellent. The menu offers fresh breads and pastries, fresh fruits and more. On this date I had oatmeal with a toasted bagel and it was ideal for the business related conversation. Highly recommend this place to meet for breakfast or lunch. I will do so again soon.

Always a good bet while in Buckhead

By Shelley G |

This restaurant is a great place for a business lunch, an informal breakfast, and a delicious brunch. They don't serve dinner. Their omelettes are fluffy and jammed with ingredients - I thoroughly enjoyed my vegetarian one made with egg whites (upon request). Sandwiches and salads are yummy and also filled with ingredients - so you don't leave hungry or feeling like you got ripped-off. Desserts are worth the calories. The Chai Tea was delicious as was the Soy Latte. And, the bread selection is awesome. The bakery in the front of the restaurant has pastries galore and breads that appeal to all palettes. I bought some croissants and raisin/nut bread (my favorite!) to take home after my meal. This restaurant is usually full because the food is very good, the servers are attentive, and the ambience is upbeat, albeit sometimes a bit noisy. Ask for a booth in the bakery area if you want a more quiet location. You can also make a Priority Seating reservation on Open Table which can be helpful during busy times.

EXCELLENT, RELAXING BREAKFAST

By AllanL351 |

Was in the Buckhead area early for a meeting and was looking for a location for a good breakfast. Stumbled onto the Buckhead Bread Company and Corner Cafe. I had a VERY ENJOYABLE breakfast. The service was attentive but not annoying, the breakfast was OUTSTANDING from the coffee to the eggs, grits and bread. I would DEFINITELY go back to the Buckhead Bread Company and Corner Cafe the next time I am in the Atlanta area. I still think about the great breakfast i enjoyed there.

Good lunch, huge portions

By dustmon |

Took Ma to lunch, I got the sautéed grouper sandwich, really good not overcooked but definitely cooked enough, came with a little salad, Ma got the chicken breast salad club sandwich which could have fed 3 people, really. and included the little salad, too. Prices aren't cheap, but better than the other Buckhead spots nearby, also the bakery is there and you get 20% off after eating in the restaurant so get a fresh loaf to go,,,,recommend the raisin/pecan bread Service is over the top, which most of the time is OK.

The bakery is the best part of this eatery!

By AustinBobby |

We ate here during the weekend brunch hours. The breakfast selection included a variety of eggs Benedict choices. My wife chose the Traditional and was not excited by the way the muffin was flattened which made it tough and difficult to cut and chew. Otherwise the food was very good. I had the waffle of the day which was a blueberry waffle topped with fresh strawberries and a cream cheese sauce. We bought bakery items for take out and they were also very good. The selection at the bakery counter was extensive and difficult to make a choice. The service was not bad, but nothing exceptional to note.

A really good sunday morning breakfast

By Bialy30041 |

We met a cousin on Sunday morning and 5 of us went to the Corner Cafe for brunch. After a brief wait (while we got to look at all the amazing pastries at the bakery side) we were lucky enough to be seated close to the bakery and away from the main dining room. It was a lot quieter on the bakery side so we were able to do lots of family discussions. The food was really good, everyone did omelets (Except me) which were overflowing with the appropriate filling. I am a big fan of good corned beef hash and this was GOOD CORNED BEEF HASH. Not canned, not overflowing with potatoes or other fillers, just lots of fresh cooked corned beef. Service was amazing and at no time did our coffee cups go below 1/2 full. And the bread!! Remember this is the Buckhead Bread Company. My wife had a pretzel roll that was just amazing. Definately a place to go back to.

What a great breakfast!!!

By Metokno |

If you love breakfast, this is the place for you. The menu features gourmet offerings that are unbelievably tasty. My favorite is the breakfast burrito, but everything looks and tastes so incredibly good. The only downside for me is that grits are offered as a side on many of the items, but you can replace the grits with a substitute. My recommendation is the potatoes. This place is loved by many, so if you can get here early, do so. Also, check out the wide selection of pastries and breads before you leave. They also provide complimentary mini-muffins to munch on while you are waiting for your order. The service is very high level, but they can be stretched when really crowded. Overall, one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere in the country although a bit on the expensive side. (They also serve lunch.) Don't miss it!

Still way above average

By TiMiCo |

Not quite as good as it one was, but still excellent. Food and service still way above average. Don't hesitate to eat here!

Poor Management & Undeserved Reputation

By Randall O |

After eating here for the 10th time, I fail to understand why this restaurant is so highly rated. The service is totally disorganized and very slow. The food is very expensive for what it is and the flavor is lackluster. This Sunday there were at least 8-10 servers and food runners working in what is a really small restaurant. This is in addition to 2 managers, 2 hostesses and 2 people at the coffee bar. There appeared to be no management, no training and no organization. The workers were literally falling over each other. When we finally got our order, they had forgotten the toasted croissant that my colleague always orders. Five minutes later, a very rude food runner shows up and plunks a pancake down on the table. When I said it wasn't ours, he just grabbed it and walked away. He never asked what we ordered or offered to get our server. The corned beef hash that I ordered was not hash. It was a pile of shredded beef with a few sauteed onions scattered in it. There was no flavor other than the overpowering beef taste (that stayed with me all day.) They have the same problem with the Hollandaise sauce for the Eggs Benedict that I had the last time -- no flavor at all. Apparently, their prices aren't high enough to cover the cost of spices or a cookbook. All of this is a clear indication of bad management that has shown no signs of improvement over the last 3 years. So, if you want slow service, bad food and high prices this is the place. Otherwise, there are far better choices in Atlanta.

Solid choice for a decent breakfast

By Libby in Cincinnati |

We were in the Buckhead area and decided to have breakfast at the Corner Cafe one morning. The food is fine. It isn’t anything exceptional, but it is a solid choice for a decent breakfast. They have traditional breakfast items including omelets, Belgian Waffles, Pancakes, Eggs Benedict and Corned Beef Hash with Poached Eggs. Most items range in price from $10 to $16. The food was hot. Service was a little slow. This is a good choice if you have some time for a big breakfast and aren’t in a hurry. The bakery items were very large portions and looked really good. The bakery would be a better option if you are in a hurry.

Cafe experience or quick take out, awesome pastries and unique breads

By arockefellerview |

Great place to lunch or brunch. Best FRESH Chicken Salad. Awesome pretzel breads, incredible jalapeno cheddar or country choices. Decadent, rich chocolates of an Opera cake to juicy fruit tarts, always please. Purchase your Buckhead Life gift cards for a 10-20% additional bonus.

Nasty bathroom and it kinda went downhill after that

By Bhamtravelerbirmingh |

Sunday morning and we were promised a 15 minute wait time for 5 folks. 35 minutes I went to check in with hostess (who probably was not a logistics major in college) and she said it would be soon. She kept seating people in spacious 4 tops that came in after us so I thought she was waiting for one of the larger tables for us. No. She put us In a small booth and left one of our party standing for 5 minutes before a waiter assumed responsibility to find us a chair. The bathroom was filthy. Like a gas station without the charm. That's when I noticed just how dirty the tables were and the floor. This place needs a good cleaning. Not to mention a hostess with a clue. Definitely not worth of a repeat.

Wonderful the first time!

By jacksprat21 |

I was visiting family, and my brother-in-law took me here. I had the most wonderful Eggs Benedict/Corned Beef Hash! It was so yummy, we squeezed another visit in on the way to the airport. I should have just stopped after the first one, because the second trip was not near as good. I'm assuming different cook. I know that things can happen, and certainly in the food industry there will be mistakes, however, after finding an entire 1/2 egg shell under one of my very overcooked eggs, my appetite was gone. An overcooked egg in Eggs Benedict is kind of an oxymoron, that coupled with a not so nice crunchy surprise led me to believe the cook was lazy, too busy, or just didn't care. So, this rating is really on my first visit.

Very nice lunch spot in the business district. Thought it was a bit pricey, but after all this is Buckhead.

Best Bread in Atlanta

By Jeremy C |

This is absolutely the best bread in Atlanta - we'll make a special trip from North of Atlanta just to pick up a few loaves!

Breakfast

By ksbev |

Went here for breakfast with a friend. It was very loud, and better suited for a power breakfast. Service was terrible. The meal took a very long time to arrive and that was the last time we saw the waiter. I had to flag him down to ask for a coffee refill. Food was good, but nothing special, especially for the price.

Great food

By LaineyB10 |

Love this place for breakfast, coffee, brunch or lunch. Fresh delicious food but can get rather noisy. Great staff.

Amazing pastries, cookies. Service is so-so. Would definitely go back!

By nicolettes858 |

My husband and I stopped in for a quick breakfast and this place was right next to our hotel. We did not sit down in the cafe section, just got pastries and coffee to go. The multi-grain croissants were DELICIOUS and the Coconut macaroons AMAZING! We ended up going back the next day and ordered the exact same things for breakfast again :) The service is a bit slow; both days we had to wait at the coffee bar and it didn't seem like they were well staffed or trained on that area (we only ordered hot tea and an iced coffee, nothing too complicated) but they were nice enough. Next time we are in Buckhead I'm saving all my carbs for this place!

Make reservations!

By Lynnclaire |

A friend booked our reservation for Sunday brunch at the Corner Café and it was great! The food and the service was outstanding and well worth the drive from my hotel near the airport! Better still it's close to my favourite store, Nordstroms!

Great Lunch Spot with Artisan Breads

By Wayne R |

The Corner Café bill itself as a European Style café. I don't know about that, never having seen anything like it in Europe. But don't let that deter you from dropping in for lunch. The menu is well thought out and creative and it has enough variety to suit even widely varying tastes. Included are things like a combo of a starter such as soup or salad with a half sandwich, including a choice of sides. This is a perfect lunch-sized choice. There are of course many sandwiches, salads and luncheon entrees. The restaurant is a little noisy with its hard surfaces, but it was not overwhelming. Service is fast and friendly. I'll come back here again if I'm in the area.

Overrated

By Rick S |

Had Saturday brunch at 9:00 AM. Prices seemed high, but service was slow so the per hour cost was reasonable I suppose. I never was served the orange juice I ordered but that seems to happen frequently at all establishments. Our food arrived before the coffee even showed up. Had to wait for silverware. Coffee refill was slow in coming. There honestly was nothing special about it. If the food and service had been as good as their website hype it would have been okay. Really regret wasting our time there. If had to do it over would go someplace else.

This place was packed! After eating, I can see why!

By moochelle1 |

Got a pot of coffee in a French press. Our waiter helped pick out my coffee AND recommended my breakfast. He steered this girl to the right dish and coffee!! The crab eggs Benedict was divine. We all gobbled our food up so fast that we didn't get a picture! Everyone ordered different items: the breakfast sandwich, French toast, and blueberry pancakes. Not one bad word to say about the food...since our mouths were full!!!

Upscale breakfast place

By Leah O |

The breakfast was very tasty. It was different but just enough to be a nice surprise. We ordered two orders of the Avocado Egg Toast and an order of Shrimp Friatta. My daughter and I ordered a Baby Farm Salad to split. We didn't need to order a salad, the Avocado Egg Toast was served with a salad but our server didn't mention that. We ordered two iced teas and a coffee. It's a little pricey for a breakfast place, we spent $65 without counting the tip. They do serve you little complimentary muffins.

Best brunch in Atlanta

By annaf f |

The food quality here is consistent and very high. Eggs Benedict are the best. Great oatmeal. Nice coffee selection. Great service.

Great service and tasty food.

By Vida y Viajes |

Stopped in for breakfast early and were seated right away; no real crowd and lots of available parking. I ordered black coffee and eggs Benedict. The coffee was hot and tasted fresh. The eggs Benedict were delicious. The portion was sufficient for one and definitely could have been shared. We had complementary mini-muffins which were a nice touch. The service was great, attentive but not too much. Overall great experience.

Five star food, brunch is fab

By MamaMia77777 |

Try the corned beef hash- I took the waiters advice and wow-just wow! I had a a few bites if blueberry pancakes that were amazing, cooked inside batter as requested AND the kids breakfast burrito had me wishing I was kid!!! Yummy supreme!! Side fruit is good too- service is friendly-the waiters were extremely busy but managed to stay on point. Oh and the hot chocolate and coffees are great as well too, rather large and impressive!

We Left After Getting Water and Menu

By Matthew O |

The Buckhead Bread Company seemed a good choice for us on our visit to Atlanta. We needed a good meal in short order to get on with our daily tourist visit to Atlanta. We did something we very rarely do. We were seated, got water delivered with menus, looked at the menus and then left. Why? Very limited menu and way too expensive for what you would receive. We went down the street to a Waffle House, had a substandard breakfast, and were still glad that we did not remain at the Buckhead Bread Company. This restaurant seems to be frequented by the local trade that wants coffee and a starch item. Professionals with a price point above our comfort. They could be good, but seemingly chose not to do so?

Great Service!

We were here on business and decided to eat here. The service was great! The food was very good. I really likes the atmosphere.

Great Brunch Choices

By Pete P |

Family of 5 met Sunday for brunch at 10:45. Did call ahead & were seated in 10 minutes. Very busy! Very attentive service & quick to table after ordering. Excellent lean corn beef hash, waffles, love the berry bowl. Good choice if you don't mind the noise & crowd.

Great bread...

By foodgirl13 |

We had breakfast here this morning this morning on our way out of Atlanta. Food and service is good, but expensive for what is just a little better than Waffle House or ihop. Nice atmosphere, bakery goods smelled and looked great. Bread that came with the meal was the best part.

Thank you Arturo

By missa |

Wanted to visit one of our faves in Buckhead & was not disappointed. My husband and I come to the cafe not only for their wonderful breads but for the poached eggs & corned beef. Thank you, Arturo, for going above and beyond to take care of us. There was a small snafu & he did not miss a beat to correct it. Oh yes, and when you go, treat yourself to a Mochachino, Starbucks can't hold a stick to it!

Saturday brunch

By WAREAGLE93 |

The portions were large and food was prepared quickly. The serviced was very accommodating and attentive. He helped me create a menu item that was sold out. It was very busy as it was a Saturday at brunch. We were able to be seated (party of 2) in 30 minutes. Plenty of parking although it is very tight.

You won't regret beginning your day here

By travchef |

The espresso is superb, the fruit is fresh and the yogurt is yummy. While waiting for your order the wonderful aromas from the bakery waft over to you begging for your perusal. The bakery display is lovely and the baked goods are fresh and tasty. It's a bright sunny atmosphere, locals and visitors alike fill the cafe.

Went down hill

By Alisson B |

Way down hill! I remember that place years ago it had great food, outstanding customer service. It's all in the past! There are so many choices in area that are so much better!

Just plain yummy!!!

By CEGDESIGN |

It's a breakfast and lunch place, so nothing fancy, but in all the years we've been going here (5) we have never had a bad meal. We go for breakfast, not lunch. The coffee is really good and my FAV is the corned beef hash. It's really to die for!!! I suppose if you are on a diet, could be hard to find something here because everything is just YUMMY. My husband had flank steak and fried greed tomato Benedict. Like a heart attack on a plate, right? Ha! So yummy.

Lovely, fresh food and wonderful service!

By Debbie W |

My first experience at the Buckhead Bakery Company and Corner Cafe' was a very positive one. The food was fresh and homemade. I had a well-flavored tomato-basil soup and a lush little salad full of pecans, cheese, and mixed greens. I loved being able to purchase fresh cinnamon raisin bread after my meal to take home. The prices range from $8.00-$14.00 for lunch, an easy swallow for the neighborhood. My server was well-versed in menu choices, showed up at the right times, and was efficient without being intrusive. My coffee cup and water glass remained full before, during, and after the meal. A nice bonus are the muffin and bread samples served before the meal.

Nice place.

By Mojeer Y |

Nice food and reasonable prices.I recommend this place to everyone.Have a good meal and enjoy it.Buckhead is good serene and well known area in Atlanta to consider visiting.

Must attend for a wonderful breakfast or lunch!

By JLA72 |

I work down the street from this restaurant. It is a more expensive lunch but well worth it---$18 average lunch dish, but this is Buckhead. Very busy/popular place. The pastries section has some inexpensive pre made deli sandwiches---i grab for a quick lunch. The staff is always wonderful---seems everyone always works as a team.

The best

I visited Atlanta for a few days and this was the best breakfast I had whilst I was visiting. In fact I think this might be the best breakfast I have ever had!

Brunch...not great

By mlesser1 |

We went for brunch, which was really just average....but the waitress was not very knowledgeable, as well...I asked if I could see a dinner menu, as I am new to Atlanta and would want to come for dinner sometime soon. I was told that on the weekends, the brunch menu is served all day long...Now, this may be true, but if it is, I do not understand it....I haven't been back as I am not certain what the menu would be...

Great brunch

I took my boyfriend's mother for brunch at Atlanta bread company We loved it there. The Resturant is nice and clean. The Service was very fast and great. It is in a prime location.

Excellent Breakfast and Lunch

By Steve698 |

The Corner Cafe at the Buckhead Bread Company serves excellent breakfast, sandwiches, and soup. It is open until 3:30 pm, so you can get a late lunch. One of my favorites for lunch is the sauteed shrimp tacos. You can purchase many varieties or pastries and bread.

Good breakfast place

11.4.17 Wonderful breakfast meeting on a Saturday catching up on lots of things ongoing in the world as we are both in business, media, sports, and music. Corned Beef Hash with 2 poached Eggs was 5/5 Fresh Fruit was 5/5 Mini muffins 5/5 What I did notice is the food takes a long time to arrive as it appears they need more cooks on the line. A sure 5 became a 4 as the food was great it simply took too long. If you have the time to wait the food is scrumptious. the Doctor hit me with some LOVE ❤️ and a Helpful Vote!

Great Atlanta Breakfast

By trojans |

Having stayed with our son and daughter-n-law in order to visit our grandbaby, our son wanted to take us out for breakfast before we headed back home. The first place, Buttermilk Kitchen, which I have enjoyed before, has zero parking. So plan B was to head a bit further south to Buckhead and the Buckhead Bread Co. It was just our son, my husband, myself and our 7-month-old grandbaby. We parked easily as their parking right off of busy Piedmont Rd was ample. We walked in and I immediately got a European cafe vibe. The host asked if we would like a table or booth since we had the baby in the car seat and we opted for a booth. Our waiter came to get our drink orders...coffees and a cappuccino for me. Once he returned we ordered our food...blueberry pancakes for my husband, regular pancakes for our son with a side of ham and sausage, and I had a belgian waffle with fresh berries and a side of bacon. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The bacon choice is crispy or soft---I opted for something in the middle and it was perfect. The sausage had an odd flavor...different then what I'm accustomed to for breakfast sausage but the flavor grew on me. It was a delightful morning... There is a case at the doorway filled full of delectables that can be ordered to go. And there is a full bar. I'm more than ready to go back!

Good for coffee and rolls

By wallpa |

Not the place I would bring a client for lunch, but a good sandwich and salad kind of place. Service is good and the bakery has a good selection to accompany your coffee. Across the street from Buckhead diner.

Disappointing Sunday Brunch Experience, Again

By Jim J |

This was a disappointing experience, and it was a 2nd similar experience in a row. We did not have a reservation this time, but only waited ~ 5 minutes. The reception staff was friendly. Our server was Lucy. She was friendly but service was not good. We ordered the Traditional Eggs Benedict, and we specified we wanted the eggs soft and runny. It took over 20 minutes to get our order. A "runner" delivered our order. The presentation was very nice. The eggs were a disappointing 90% solid. It took awhile to get our servers attention. When asked if that was as soft/runny as they could prepare the eggs, she said she wrote soft on the order and they pre-cook the eggs and then steam them. I asked if they did not prepare eggs to order. She said she could order more eggs on the side, but did not offer to take our plates. At that point we declined and asked to see a manager. The server never came back until we requested a check. Our water was never refilled. The manager was Stephanie and was extremely sensitive to the situation and apologized. She said when someone specifies they want soft/runny eggs the chef is supposed to prepare them accordingly. This was different from what the server's explanation was. She also "comped" our meal, gave us her name, and asked we notify her on our next visit.

Wonderful Lunch w Friends!

By katork |

Had a very nice lunch before the business crowd arrived. Service was very good, sandwiches & sides were great. Plenty of parking, breakfast menu stops at 11AM, lunch menu starts. Plenty of choices:Really liked the Portobello Mushroom Sandwich and the Reuben. Cauliflower Tabbouleh side was very good. Their bread is delicious! A little pricey, but expected in Buckhead. Could walk to from several hotels in the area. Part of the Buckhead Life Restaurants Group and the Cafe has been around a long time. Has a small dining patio.

Attentive service coupled with very good lunch!

By SherilynAD |

Had lunch here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised that it was a sit-down restaurant with a wait staff. I thought that this had a set-up like Panera Bread. Anyway, my 1/2 tuna melt and 1/2 Harvest salad along with a side of sweet potato fries cost $12.95 which I thought was a little pricey. The tuna melt wasn't oily at all which the bread can sometimes be and the salad was awesome with apples, pecans, Gorgonzola, and lime vinegarrete. I did'nt care for the sweet potato fries because it was soggy and just warm when I received it. Our server was attentive and refilled our drinks promptly. After our meal, we passed by the bakery section and bought a few pastries to take with us. Overall, it was a good lunch but a little pricey.

Great service

By D K |

Huge portions. Best bread in the world. Great variety. prices are up there, but worth it. Walking distance from our hotel.

Pricey & Disappointing

By Juliette W |

Corner Cafe is a cute restaurant centrally located in the Buckhead area, which explains the over priced menu. That being said, I do not mind paying top dollar for great food. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The soup/sandwich combo was a generous portion and the soup was tasty, but the chicken, mozzarella and basil sandwich was just not good. There were no condiments on the bread and the chicken was very dry and unappetizing. The mozzarella was not properly melted and just sat atop the chicken, making it taste even drier. Since it was a business meeting with a client, I was a little embarrassed at having selected the venue as my client did not enjoy her food either. On the upside, they did remove one of our entrees from the bill, which was appreciated. The bakery area held a dessert case that was filled with delicious pastries and treats, but we did not indulge. If we give this place another try, we will opt for satisfying a sweet tooth rather than ordering a menu entree.

Decent brunch

By khknbk |

The host staff was not friendly but the servers were good. I got the steak and eggs Benedict with potatoes. I had never had eggs benedict before and I liked it. The steak was better than some of the steaks I had at steak houses in Buckhead. The potatoes were pretty good as well. My wife had pancakes, eggs and bacon and liked it but it was nothing special. There is a bread company and a coffee bar located in the restaurant but we did not try either one. There is not a lot of parking available on site so you may have to drive around looking for a spot. It is recommened to have reservations and that is a good idea. We waited about 5 min once se got there for our reservation. I have realized that most of the restaurants in Buckhead charge you the high prices b/c of the location and not the food. There has only been two restaurants worth the price you pay. One is a sister restaurant of this one and is across the street. It is Buckhead diner and the other restaurant is Prime at Lenox Square mall.

Best Breakfast & Bakery in Atlanta

By ddmullis |

One of my favorite spots across the entire USA is a Buckhead bread company. They offer an amazing breakfast along with a bakery that is first class. The service is absolutely top-notch. Every time I visit I highly recommend cheese grits, bacon, and croissant. The Panos blend coffee is extremely flavorful. Taylor Knox and his entire team do an awesome job in serving their customers.

Corned beef and mochaccino all the way

By soldieroflite |

I was craving corned beef and hash. And this the the first place I think of to go. Ned took good care of us. They had gluten free bread but I didnt get it. And we got the macchacino coffee which is great. And the corned beef and hash did not disappoint. My wife enjoyed the yummy muffins as well and the mango colada smoothie.

Sunday Brunch plus!

By tsw50 |

Its really busy and a bit loud for me... But, what a great experience! Lots of amazing options from delicate crepes, fried chicken and waffles, 1/2 dozen eggs Benedict options, corned beef hash that 95% corned beef, plus plus +. Great staff, and OMG don't miss the bakery!

A very enjoyable brunch!

By RobertoMurphy |

This is a traditional eatery in Atlanta, very good and enjoyable. The food is great, and the service is very good. The menu lists a los of typical Southern dishes, which makes it somewhat difficult to decide, but you must know that any one you choose is probably going to hit your fancy!

Very Good Sunday Brunch but so-so Reservation Process

By Jim J |

We made a reservation for Sunday Brunch for 1:00PM. This does not guarantee a 1:00 seating; it indicates your wait time will be 1/2 of the wait time vs. walk-ins. We arrived at 1:00PM and were told it would be 10 minutes. It was 30 minutes until we were seated. Our server was Corey and he was excellent, and attention to detail on our eggs benedict was spot on. We did discover the english muffins were not toasted and became a little "mushy" over time. Historically this restaurant is warm to uncomfortable during the warmer/hot months, and it was warm. The AC is not strong enough to match the outside temps of 80/+.

Fresh Bread!

By thom44149 |

We did not intend to visit Bulkhead Bread Company, we passed by it and decided to give it a try. We are glad we did. The food is beyond excellent, and the service was very good, even though we received the entree before the appetizer, but overall, it is a place that we definitely recommend.

Fabulous breakfast

By ebknott |

We had a wonderful breakfast here - food great, service attentive. We recommend the cheese omelet and the corned beef hash.

A Buckhead mainstay for ATL residents or visitors

By rob b |

Fresh food, tasty pastries, attentive service mark this upscale version of a neighborhood coffee shop. Customers range from early morning and luncheon business crowd to the ladies who lunch, as well as families on the weekends. Sandwiches are freshly made, breads are baked that day and the food is many cuts above a diner. You can stay on your healthy diet or enjoy a better sandwich. The service befits the clientele -- kindly, genteel but full of expectations. Never disappointing. The Saturday brunch menu is not to be missed. In and out in an hour or linger over second cup of coffee that betters the usual Starbucks brew. .

Great corned beef hash, raisin bread

By DoctorVincenzoVonCueBall |

Still a great breakfast place top of the line food prepared the old fashioned way from scratch. You will not be sorry but arrive early.

Popular Place for Sunday Brunch

By Powisallgood919 |

When you walk in, the bakery is on the right. It's fairly small compared to the restaurant, but you can go there just to pick up the baked goods you want. They do also do lunch as well as breakfast. It was packed when we were there. They have a coffee bar so you can sit there or order something to drink while you are waiting for your table. Lots of fresh fruit and the food is prepared very well. Had the omelet special and it was very tasty.

A great place for a nice lunch

By Jim K |

We often meet here for a business lunch, but choose this for family lunches as well. Service is always good, and the selection of lunch plates is excellent. Parking is easy and it is well located in Buckhead.

Not bad, but service was slow

By aggieband |

Came here for Sunday brunch... food was great, but server was new and not very aware of the menu. He never offered to refill my coffee, had to be almost begged to refill my date's tea. One thing he did promptly was bring the check. The food was very good; I had the lump crabcake eggs benedict which was fabulous. The English muffin was sliced very thin so it did not dominate the plate. The crabcake was spicy, yet not overwhelming, the eggs cooked perfectly. I tried the grits 'du jour' which was a corn and green chile mix with monterrey jack cheese... they were very tasty, but not exactly a breakfast dish; more like a vegetable side order. My date had the beef eggs benedict which featured extremely tender steak with eggs on the same very thin muffin. Very well prepared dish. Overall, the food was excellent, the setting and service average and the prices very high, as is typical of the Buckhead area.

Very, very good

Great, as usual

Added fees and Inability to Use Upside

By Meducate |

We asked for an itemized and detailed receipt including credit card information but the server (who was great) said this wasn’t possible because we paid by QR code. I was able to get a simple receipt in the restaurant and then used the payment app to get a detailed receipt. Lo and behold, the receipt handed me in the restaurant didn’t match the online receipt, which has an added $1.49 Sunday Service fee because the QR platform was used. This was never disclosed. Additionally, the restaurant participates in the Upside rewards program which requires the detailed receipt including credit card information. By not providing me with all of this information, I was unable to use the Upside app and receive cash back. Two separate actions by the restaurant that benefit them and hurt the customer.

Power Breakfast Spot

By KalymnosSummer |

This is a convenient spot for business breakfasts. Love to come here, too, when I'm hosting a dinner party with their broad bread selection. Breakfast menu is rather standard fare...eggs, omelettes, bagels, waffles, etc. Nothing really stood out for us but it was all very good.

Traditional Buckhead Breakfast

By R H |

Buckhead Bread Company and Corner Cafe is the epitome of what breakfast should be while in Buckhead. The restaurant has a thorough breakfast menu with reasonable, not exuberant, portions. There is a healthy price tag on everything but you the meal shouldn't leave you disappointed. Great place to eat for breakfast if you are staying at a nearby hotel around East Paces or Piedmont and Peachtree. A fancier, less greasy, alternative than the Waffle House down the street (though I do love me some Waffle House).

Tasty food in a convenient location in Buckhead

By BethLD |

I enjoy this as a convenient place to meet friends in an environment where you can have a conversation, when so many restaurants these days keep their music too loud and have poor ambience. The food is fine, I especially enjoy the breakfast food, and the homemade breads are delicious.

Consistently Good Food

By Sandra R |

I took a group of women in my Lunchbunch here two weeks ago and every dish brought out was in the excellent category. This restaurant is part of the Buckhead Life Group and I knew ahead of time that we would not be disappointed. I have included photos of some of the food, which was delicious tasting as well as appetizing looking. Go and enjoy yourself without worrying about whether the food will be good or not. It's ALWAYS good.

Superior Service (Thanks Victor), Great Food, Great Ambiance!

By Bobby B |

Víctor is the best server anyone could ask for! Victor made the experience with superior customer service, being attentive and personable for our first visit here! The food was excellent as well - hats off to the chefs for the landlord omelettes! The ambiance was very relaxing as well.

DISAPPOINTING

By frg0125 |

I would never have thought that I'd say anything nut praises about a Buckhead Life Group restaurant. But this experience on a Sunday brunch was simply unpleasant. Here's the point: Don't bring me a cup of coffee with half the coffee in the cup and the other half on the saucer. Don't put the creamer on the table with the drippings from the tray where a concoction of liquids has accumulated. I want my coffee in the cup, not dripping on my clothes. And when the waiter comes back and pours the coffee, he should not reach across to the other table and put his elbow in my face: he should WALK around the other table and reach out of anybody's face. What we have is poor hiring practices or poor training. As this annoyance started, I started to focus on the many stains on the fabric of the bench. Then on the guy cleaning (sort of) the table to make room for the next patron: a cloth of dubious source , cleaning one side of the table, then putting the aforementioned tray on the "cleaned' side to wipe the other. Anyway, on and on and on. Food arrived, it was good. I should give the credit for that, and I would give it another try. The place is busy and vibrant. It is noisy, but the tolerable kind of noisy, because it is a fun place to be, it is well lit and overall attractive. I really would have enjoyed the brunch with family, had it been for the really bad service. There's an easy fix: train people, or hire better waiting staff. Better yet, observe and implement changes.

Great coffee and patisserie

By AlberVisitingPlaces |

Great service, excellent for coffee and croissants. If you are in a rush service can be slow at times, but overall I can't complain.

Kinda Boring

Went here for breakfast on a Saturday. Seated quickly and ordered coffee. Watered down coffee but it was hot. Eggs Benedict were very pedestrian. The meat and bread were hard to cut. The sauce was good and the egg cooked nicely. Chicken and waffles was ok. Service was attentive but food from the kitchen slow. Overall not someplace I'll hurry to go back to.

Great place

By George Y |

Yummy food great bakery excellent selection of breakfast items. Nice location friendly staff. Overall one of my preferred breakfast places in the buck head area

Happy to see this on the corner! Delicious bread!

By Merrill M |

We wanted a quick breakfast before visiting the Atlanta History Museum, and after driving through Buckhead spotted this on the corner. Attractive dining area, although stay away from the windows if the sun is shining in... very warm! Afterward, we used our 20% receipt coupon to buy breads at the counter. The raisin-nut bread was chewy and filling for next day. $2.75 Great coffee, smooth and rich, prompt refills without having to ask $7.50 Two eggs and sub'd whole grain bread. Tasty and nutty. $13.95 Three egg veggie omelette, sub'd fresh berries ($1). Large serving

Nice brunch

By Rob from Atlanta |

Food was excellent and the service was good. My wife and I both had a version of Eggs Benedict with beverages. $40 plus tip which we thought was very reasonable. We went on a Saturday and parking was not an issue. We did make a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. It is not a quiet place but you can have a private conversation at your table. We saw only satisfied customers. They have some very nice coffee drinks and different varieties of coffee if you like that. We will definitely be going back.

Average breakfast

By William T |

Corner Café, part of the Buckhead Life empire, is an enjoyable, but expensive, breakfast spot for the moneyed Buckhead crowd. The food is hit or miss. My three egg omelet was tasty and a generous portion, too big to finish. It came with Turnpike Mill grits which were some of the best I’ve had and the most enjoyable part of my breakfast. Plates are accompanied by toast from the Buckhead Bread Company, but my thin sliced country Italian bread and a friend’s thicker sliced walnut raisin bread were toasted or grilled until they were hard as a rock, making what should have been a special treat less enjoyable. Service was a high point with helpful staff that cheerfully accommodated special requests. But the food is average, a victim of corporate bigness. Save your money and head to Waffle House or grab a memorable breakfast at any number of independent breakfast spots like Thumbs Up Diner, Java Jive or Radial Café.

Loud - Wonderful Meal

By CherLvr |

The place is loud when busy, but the brunch was delicious! They need to cut back on the variations of Eggs Benedict. The original is excellent and they could use more brunch options. Coffee is great, and the staff is efficient.

Very good service, ok breakfast, a little pricey

By NoCleverCreation |

I got the three egg cheese omelette. It came with bread and cheddar grits. My bill with a soda was $15.61 before tip. Not a lot of food esp considering the price. Nothing really wowed me. However, it seems to be a hot spot for local professionals on weekday mornings. Service was great.

Lunchtime Stalwart

By 1073BB |

This long-time Buckhead staple is a terrific place for lunch and probably a welcome alternative to Waffle House (albeit pricier) for an early breakfast. That’s all it serves, opening 6:30 a.m. and closing promptly at 3:30 p.m. (Breakfast until 11 a.m., lunch beginning at 11 a.m.; Sat-Sun brunch 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) In an age that is getting sloppier and sloppier, I especially like the fact that the clientele is always nicely dressed, in a casual, preppy sort of way, even the younger folks. Could be because the café is located in Atlanta’s most affluent neighborhood. The selection for both meals is wide-ranging, covering all bases, although I have never eaten the early meal there. But considering that the eatery is only steps away from its own bakery, complete with a glass wall for process-watching, I’d bet the morning pastries—Danish, croissants, scones, muffins, bagels—are delish. The 20 lunch sandwiches ($11.75 to $15.95) are creative and huge—ingredients are piled a good two inches high. So I usually pick the option of any half sandwich, a starter (the choice is among three soups and three salads), and one side (these include sweet potato fries, regular fries, salt&pepper potatoes, cucumber onion salad, creamy cole slaw, steamed vegetables) for $13.95. Today I chose a sandwich I’ve never tried, the Southwestern Turkey Reuben with hot sliced turkey (yep, there was plenty of it), Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on grilled jalapeno cheddar bread. Mouth watering, especially the bread; there was a perfect balance in the amount, and the taste, of the ingredients. My “green” was the Summer Salad with baby lettuces, avocado, fresh mango, sliced almonds, and blue cheese (the “smoothest” I’ve ever eaten) with Key lime vinaigrette. The side was my old standby of White Balsamic Pasta Salad. Another sandwich I really like is the Roasted Rosemary Lamb with arugula and basil aioli on grilled tomato and onion focaccia. But you cannot go wrong with any of them—although my husband did pronouce his egg salad sandwich only “bland.” The coffee also is first-class, with a blend roasted especially for Corner Cafe. Service is about average—our waiter came to check on us quite a few times but when the lunch crowd began flocking in he got busy and we could not always spot him when we needed something in particular. He showed great skill when refilling my iced tea glass—from the far side of the table (well, we WERE against the wall) and from a height of about nine inches. I held my breath…but he did not splash a drop! And he brought a plate of four lemons for the tea when I first ordered. When we were about finished eating, he did something that has happened to us here before--he brought us the completed bill without asking if we wanted dessert or anything else. That helps with my diet but isn't it a bit preemptive? The only drawback to the restaurant—a high, bright space with a WPA-like mural on one wall but an overall Midcentury Modern vibe (dig those huge huge huge round globes hanging from the ceiling), is that with even a half-full house the noise level can be distracting and make conversation difficult. After the meal, I dare you to leave without stopping in the bakery to scan its four long shelves full of freshly baked, preservative-free loaves including French baguettes and ficelles, and the cases of gorgeous tarts, Granny Smith apple pies, cheesecakes, strawberry short cakes, and even bread pudding cakes. I double-dare you to leave without one of them.

Breakfast Fine

Extensive breakfast menu, three in our party (two foodies) all happy: good coffee, reliable service, reasonably quick (10 am Saturday, not crowded, busy take-out counter).

Best Bread in Town

By Jeremy C |

Anytime we are in the area we stop by and pick up some bread for lunch or snacking - really delicious and not expensive!

Adequate but Lacking Polish

By philadelphiastory |

Visiting the Corner Cafe sort of made me feel nostalgic for the 80s, namely because that seems to be when this restaurant was last redecorated. The interior is scruffy at best, and the overall vibe made me think this location is resting comfortably on past glory. If you're asking $14 for a plate of eggs, your patrons will expect prompt, friendly, smooth service to go with them. It wasn't horrible (others must love it -- it was packed at 7:15 am) but it was not a meal I will choose to repeat soon. Corner Cafe, you could really do better.

Takeaway

By Expattraveler100 |

On a Sunday - it was packed - so it's a popular place clearly. I went for take away. The egg salad sandwich was wonderful as was the ham and cheese - this is great bread! So if you're in the area and do not have time to sit and eat - get a takeaway!

Really disappointing experience - usually so good, but this time a total miss

By Emma H |

The famous "grits of the day" were watery and tasteless. Usually they never miss. This time, tomato and goat cheese were lost in the soupy pink mess. Soft Shell Crab benedict was tasty, but the hollandaise sauce was rubbery and solid. The corned beef hash was dry and tasteless - how, when usually it is so very good? Maybe Chef was on vacation, or having a bad day, but this experience was nothing like the Corner Cafe brunch we usually love and recommend. Unlikely to return now, since this was so disappointing. The server didn't stop long enough for us to tell him how bad it was, and dropped the check off 2 mins after the entrees arrived, never to return. Maybe he know something was wrong in the kitchen that day.

Buckhead Winner

My wife and I had lunch last weekend at Corner Cafe and the food is absolutely delightful. Great breakfast spot, brunch and lunch and breads are outstanding. Also, cookies and pastries are great.

First time in.

By sanvanoak |

We were in the area and saw this so decided to give it a try. Our waiter was really helpful and friendly. The basket of bread was nice, however, the butter was hard as a rock cold. I suggest whipped or softened butter! We all did the 1/2 sandwich and soup or salad combo. I had the French ham and cheese with the pasta salad and also had the potato soup drizzled with basil oil, oh was it good. My daughter had the grilled lamb and rosemary sandwhich, which was excellent. I would get that next time I go! Husband had the pastrami with sweet potato fries. His was very good too! Nice break from the every day. Would definitely recommend and return to as well.

Yummy lunch with the girlfriends!

By Bhamsnowy |

I met four girlfriends here just past noon and only waited 20 minutes on a table in a bustling restaurant. I had the shrimp and grits and it was suburb! Service lacked a little, but overall a great meal.

A great go to place for a breakfast meeting or burnch

By walker s |

Usually go for the booths away from the main dinning room as they are a little quieter. Great food, a little pricy but so worth it as the food is consistently good. Veggie omelet is a wonderful meal. substitute fruit if you do not want he bread but their bread is made fresh there in the bakery attached to the dinning room.

Excellent freshly prepared lunches

By TDOC9698 |

We are frequent diners at this fabulous restaurant and enjoy the fine choice of breakfast style options, excellent coffee and phenomenal service! On special occasions a mimosa is also enjoyed! We highly recommend a visit!

Wonderful. Loud, but wonderful.

By John |

Don't bring your hard-of-hearing grandmother here... but do give it a try. The Corner Café has a great weekend brunch. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. There's a lot of variety on the menu, including traditional breakfast foods, fab sandwiches and Southern classics like shrimp and grits. Excellent, prompt service too.

Dissappointing lunch experience

By Susan K |

Our lunch dining experience was very disappointing. My husband ordered the steak and eggs, and we were shocked by the small portions, given the cost of $24. It did not even include toast. My salad entree was also disappointing because the chicken and tuna salads were watery, and the "salad" included few greens. And to top it off, the waiter was dismissive and arrogant! Given the high quality of the other Buckhead Life Group restaurants, we were astonished. We will not return.

Hearty breakfasts, great service, fun atmosphere

By LopingianTravels |

Having arrived in Buckhead for the weekend, we were searching for a eatery serving brunch and came across the Corner Cafe which, indeed, is on the corner of Piedmont and East Paces Ferry Road. We were immediately struck by the high activity and energy of the clientele in the late morning, and figured that if the locals are here, then there's something to be said about the kitchen. And, yes, the kitchen met our expectations. Two eggs with grits were perfect; the traditional eggs Benedict was delicious; and the corned beef hash with poached eggs good. We found a variance in the poached egg preparations, though, with two eggs perfectly cooked, one egg over cooked, and one egg under-cooked. Was this a deal breaker? Not really. If the eggs had all arrived with the same consistency, our rating would have been higher.

Go for the bread and the chocolate cookies

By pspoker |

We didn't eat in the Corner Café, but we did eat in the Bread side of the restaurant. When you walk in, to the right is the breads and desserts. If you want to get that to go, that is where you go. To the left is the sit-down restaurant side. We went to the bread and dessert side several times as it was an easy walk from our hotel. Tip: they have at the end of the counter, some selections of pre-made sandwiches, wraps and salads. We did get one sandwich, the jalapeno bread with chicken salad. The bread was really good, the chicken salad should have been named "onions with a little bit of chicken salad in them". So not good. But the bread was good, we also had the bread pudding. It was just ok, the carrot cake was really good if you remove the top and side icing. Seems odd to say but the cream between the slices was soft and creamy and the icing stuff was hard. I literally moved it with my fork on one end and it came off like a book cover. Weird. The cream they put between slices should go on the outside as well. If it is the same, then that means that the cream between the slices gets soft and creamy from being cooked. The double chocolate chip cookies were moist and yummy. The regular chocolate chip cookies were dried out. And those I got 2 different days. They need to cook the chocolate chip cookies less, and they need to not change anything with the double chocolate cookies. Oh and again, the bread is great. The Pain au Levain (probably misspelled) was super good.

Best Brunch in town!

Our family ordered chicken & waffles, steak & eggs, and eggs benedict and we were all thrilled with our selections. Best brunch in town, affordable, and ambiance is perfect for casual Sunday morning dining.

Double Yums

By Kim T |

We happened upon this restaurant/bakery while in the Buckhead area of Atlanta and decided to stop in for lunch. The menu is varied and can satisfy tastes for breakfast/brunch or lunch. My husband ordered the egg blt and I ordered the chicken breast salad sandwich club with avocado. Double yums from us! The multi grained bread was so good we went to the bakery side of the restaurant after our meal to try to buy some to take home. Alas, they were out. After researching, I found that there are several locations of Atlanta Bread co. and even in the Atlanta airport. Good to know for travelers through and to Atlanta.

So many breakfast choices, so much food, all so good.

By soleiloc |

My husband and I were searching for a breakfast site near our hotel. We discovered this place, liked the look outside and went in. The bakery was the first attraction, then we moved to the cafe' for breakfast. We got two specials, the first being eggs, ham, cheese grits, home fries, biscuits, cinnamon apples and sausage gravy. The second being red velvet belgian waffles with a lemon cream cheese drizzle. We split the meals and it was still too much! The waffles were so sweet but the lemon cream cheese cut the sweetness a bit. Coffee was wonderful and so was our server. Very pleased with this restaurant!
