The food was amazing. The waiter was always busy and in a hurry. Lack courteous manners. Reason why I will probably come here again.

Enjoyed a nice dinner at Corner before a gig at ACL Live. Katana was excellent and provided service with a smile. Food and drinks were out quickly and everything tasted good. We had salmon, the Corner marg and the Pecan Praline Brownie.

Great location if you are staying at the JW Marriott. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and really cool vibe all around. Drinks were good but expansive.

Stopped by for lunch and it was good. Food was good and they had a decent selection of drinks and beer. Would gladly stop by again if i was in town.

Corner has great food and great drinks! Their prickly pear margarita is excellent. Our waiter Joe was great!! Highly recommend.

Beautiful restaurant with relaxing atmosphere. The service was great. Our server Ella's was very friendly and attentive. My seven layer salad was delish. The sliced brisket was fantastic and not very salty.

This is a great restaurant with wonderful food for everyone. Excellent IPA and cocktails. Everyone enjoyed their food and stayed for desert (which we almost never do). Don’t skip this on your stop to downtown Austin!

Chelsea was fabulous. Prickly Pear margaritas were something to write home about and the brisket nachos hit the spot. Highly recommended

We were there before the game and had a mediocre meal. Busy atmosphere but definitely not on the clean side. Our waitress was friendly but they need to clean up the place!

This was 5 out of 5 experience fir both good and service Matt the server was great and very personable The food was delicious and it came out quickly from the kitchen Queso is fantastic

We went here because it had pretty good reviews and I would say we found it to be average. The host said that of the hotel restaurants this one was like a “chilis” vs the steakhouse being like a “Ruth’s Chris”. That set the tone for us to expect average. Our waiter was very good and attentive. The restaurant has several different areas for seating and we were near the outdoor bar. I would not go back.

Forced to take a cup at the bar while 2 table where available back 15 min to get the free table asking us towait 7 min more Thoses guys are able to monitor the table at the second At the table waiting for 10 minutes to get the order., How we can have a very good experience Food was ok menu not really extraordinary

Looking for a late night dinner, and found this gem! Great wine and beer selection. Chicken sandwich and brisket dip were both solid choices. Service was excellent (even near closing time). Thank you.

We were staying in the JW Marriott attached to this restaurant and had two dinners and two breakfasts while we were staying there. Adam, our waiter, for dinner was funny and attentive. We really liked the service and the food was great. Spicy guacamole and the brisket tacos were also really good. The breakfast service was good food as well, but much slower service than we experienced in the evening.

Made it before happy hour ended and had an amazing prickly pear margarita. If you like draft beer, good selection available. Ordered the jalapeño honey mustard grouper which was delicious. Love Mac and cheese and presented with some of the best smoked Gouda Mac and cheese that I have ever had. Also had braised short ribs which were cooked to perfection. Tres leches cake was very good. Will come back when I visit Austin.

The Corner Restaurant, located at the JW Marriott in downtown Austin offers a tasty but pricey Brunch. We tried two of their featured entrees including the Smoked Salmon Toast ($20). Served on brioche, it included whipped caper cream cheese, cilantro, pickled red onion. The other dish was the Egg White Omelet ($18) with Feta, baby spinach, avocado, salsa roja, confit tomatoes, mushrooms and toast. A fantastic Bloody Mary paired perfectly with the meal. After all was said and done, we paid over $60 including a tip (great service). No complaints but too expensive. Note: Most hotel brunches are overpriced. Note 2: Great spot for people watching, open to the streets on either side, I recommend sitting at the bar to take it all in.

Best queso in town! Joe && Dustin excellent service, incredible atmosphere! Love love love being on the corner nestled in the heart of the city.

Good food and service. The burnt ends, salmon, 7-layer salad — all super good. And the service was attentive and good.

I visited Corners while in town for a conference. Had dinner in a private room the first night with a large group, then again the second night with a colleague. The atmosphere was comfortable, the food was AMAZING and the service was impeccable (side note: DO try the cornbread) Tony took care of our party on both occasions. He was so attentive, responsive and a sincere sweetheart. My next trip to Austin will definitely lead me to Corners.

Great burger with all the fixins. Joe, the bartender, stole the show. He made a great experience even better.

Kelly was amazing!! Best service and very helpful with places to go see in Austin! I would come again

This restaurant is right downtown. We sat in one of their big, plushy booths. So comfortable and large you could take a nap there. Our server was both friendly and efficient. Good service. The beer is cold and the food was good. Nothing not to like.

Chelsey was the server and she did a very good job recommending and servicing during dinner. Food is good as usual. Love the Shishito peppers.

We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at the outside bar. Joe took great care of us and pointed us in all the right directions when choosing our cocktails! Our old fashions were top notch because Joe took the time to find out our likes. He was genuine and helpful to every customer and fellow employee. It was a great experience!

Chelsea pulled out all the stops! Came in to celebrate a work promotion and she really made an event out of it. Rose with special glass service and everything! Thank you for a fab evening.

If you are staying at the downtown JW Marriott just go eat here. The old fashioned burger is cooked perfection. The food is good, the drinks hit the spot, and the service meets the needs of the customer. You can’t ask for much more.

This spot is great if you like upcharges. We ordered a Bloody Mary and the server said would we like it Spicy. We said yes. Bill comes and it’s a dollar charge. Crazy.

We visited twice during our 4 days in Austin because food and service so good. Great value and super attentive service. We enjoyed vegetarian enchiladas they weren't even advertised on menu but the lovely smiley helpful japanese waitress recommended them as we are veggies. The atmosphere is so relaxed and all the staff happy and helpful. Highly recommend!

Alex was amazing ! Recommend great spots to check out, and gave us the best service ! You definitely need to ask for him !

We had a lovely meal -delicious carnitas ..and Brussels .. service was perfect and the manager was so welcoming to us .. really appreciated that. We are Loyal Marriott people and stayed at this JW recently..people like tj is are why.

We ate here with our family after a brief stay at JW during Texas ice storm. The menu offers such variety. The staff is friendly and accommodating to. Delicious eggs Benedict. My personal favorite. Great choice!

REaly impressed by menu....lovely outdorr sitting area great for people watching. Layered salad a MUST try!

The vibe is really lovely in the restaurant, and it’s one of the busiest in Austin too. However we felt that the food was average at best - we had to send back both of our sides as they arrived before the entrees and were both cold! The service was also very slow, and food took ages to come. Nice vibe, but not worth it for the price and the wait.

we stopped here after a long day of walking and really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Had a couple of wonderful cocktails and fabulous zucchini cornbread, and enjoyed it greatly!

The spicy guacamole and unique tacos were SO GOOD! Perfect for a late lunch! And such a fun atmosphere. Definitely try it out!

Had a great time the service was excellent and our bartender was Michael every drink was perfect a very personable employee would highly recommend getting a drink from him you won't go wrong...

Great restaurant and even better service - Joe was an amazing waiter!! Love the Prickly Pear margarita!

Best shishito peppers anywhere! Perfect with a jalapeno margherita (or 3)! Service was awesome and Julia was the loveliest!

We’ve been here five times and each time, we get the chicken sandwich. Today Mellisa helped us and she was great.

Got a reservation within minutes of arrival ( it was 11:55am we wanted and were able to secure a noon reservation without issue). We sat at the bar, we were told 3 times we’d get water ( never arrived ). Had it not been for a manager who I flagged down, I’m certain I’d still be waiting to place an order. The spicy guacamole was top notch - do order this. The steak and eggs was good. The house salad was very good - do order this. Spicy Bloody Mary is very spice - do order this.

The 3 host at the front we rude at first glance. Seemed like we interrupted their conversation. We asked to be seated at two empty tables since we couldn’t find anything else available. Our kids were hungry and needed to rest. We had to be okay with 2 servers and wait 20 minutes so they could find someone to clean the tables that had already been cleared since before we walked in. The tables looked all set but now we had to wait for servers to be available. We asked to at least sit and wait there but that wasn’t an option. Once we finally got to sit down the servers had obviously been told we were being difficult since they were both rude. One server brought dinks then never came back around so we could order food. When we told him we never received a drink he told us the other server said she’d bring it. He crumpled up the receipt that he had slammed on our table previously walked away and got a new bill. We left hungry even though we paid over $200 and frustrated with the lack of kindness and communication. Very Disappointing in this nice spot.

I’ve never been to Corner before, but immediately felt welcome as we were shown to our table right away. Kitana was our server and she was the actual best. If you come here, you should probably definitely request her because she is amazing. We brought a cake and candles for a birthday, and Kitana offered to not only refrigerate the cake, but also put in and light the candles before she brought it out. She is easy to talk to and a fun ass time. If you can, you should come at the end of her shift and buy her shots, because she deserves it. Thanks, Kitana!!!!

Would have hoped for better tv’s for a sports bar in a Marriott. Food was good, portions very small. Convenience and proximity to hotel….. excellent.

Family outing on a beautiful Saturday evening & decided on a few cocktails. Hostess was extremely polite, attentive and accommodating. The dessert menu was impressive. Great tasting! Highly recommend the Blantons Single Barrel Cocktail!

I went on a Saturday at 12, only menu was brunch which was limited. Crispy mahi-mahi Tacos were tasty, jalapeño margarita was spicy!

Joe was great, very attentive and personable. He’s the reason I’ll be back for sure! Ask for him next time you’re in!

Food was awesome, I had the turkey club and it was one of my favorite sandwiches ever! Lisa was so nice and friendly. Food and ambience was great for a Thursday lunch. Would love to come back in the evening to check out the vibe!

We owe the team this review. Our family has been coming here for two years and have NEVER had a bad experience. We always sit outside at the bar lounge seating. It’s usually my five year old daughter and our dog. They treat both of them like they own the place. The servers outside could not be nicer, I think they are also bartenders, and are always smiling and being social. They take the time to make sure everyone is comfortable and the food is just right. It pains me to say I cannot remember their names but both girls have dark hair and work exclusively outside. My daughter loves them and loves going there. It’s a great location on south Congress for people watching and a great after work meet up spot. Thanks former team.

We had lunch here one day, and drinks at the bar one afternoon. The bartender was very helpful, allowing us to sample some of the many draft beers and helping us make our selections. The day we had lunch, our server was friendly and attentive. The appetizers she suggested – the Spicy Guacamole and the Chile Pimento Fritters – were unique, and our entrees were great, especially the Pork Carnitas. Nice selection of Margaritas, we tried several. Good value too.

Combo review of 2 visits, one Lunch and the other Dinner. Spicy guac was quite tasty. 7-layer adobo chicken salad as very good. The Baja Shrimp's tangy sauce was fantastic and the Texas Red Snapper also was super! Wait staff were informed and helpful. We'd much look forward to returning.

Fantastic dining experience with a large group! Lauren was wonderful, got drinks & food out amazingly fast. GET THE CORNBREAD SKILLET!!! It is life-changing. 😋

Ellie is amazing, so kind and quick with service. Will definitely be coming back for the breakfast tacos and bloody Maria’s!

We went here for drinks and apps before a show at The Mothership! My sister and brother in law split the shrimp and grits. My husband and I split the taquitos and burnt ends! Everything was plated beautifully, the servings were generous, and the taste was Devine! The prices were right on for what we experienced. I wish we would have had more time for more food sampling!

The drinks were good. The food was okay. They took care of our large group very nicely. The staff was excellent. I would go here again.

Had breakfast, dinner and few cocktails while staying at the JW Marriott. Great spot and really pleasant staff. Food is good and Texas sized portions so bring an appetite.

I had brunch there during a recent trip and stay at the JW Marriott. I had steak and eggs, the steak was ok not cooked quite enough for me despite my specification, eggs were a tad cold when they got to me tabelside. Server was nice enough, the food was ok, not great, still don't quite get the draw. Music was too loud for my taste. Especially for noon time.

Very good food and super friendly service. Conveniently located on the street level of the JW Marriott. .

Salad delicious and burger great but came out well done when asked for medium rare - reordered and came out juicy! Attentive service. Nice bar scene.

The restaurant is in the JW Marriot about a block away from the bat bridge. My wife and I shared a huge nachos appetizer and I had a few blood & honey drafts. Nachos were good but there there was too much meat and not enough cheese. First time that I have complained of too much meat! The waiter was very friendly and he had some good suggestion on where to stand to see the bats coming out under the bridge (south side on the grassy knoll). Absolutely great setting and location. I tried to get lodging at the JW Marriot (I am platinum) but they were booked for the 2 days we stayed-ended up at the Residence Inn 4 blocks away.

Amanda was amazing we are getting married. And she served amazing drinks. So many I lost count. She made me feel special.

My GF and I were in town for a long weekend and stumbled upon the Corner while walking down Congress. The happy hour prices were a good value; we especially enjoyed the zucchini cornbread. The service was also very good. Our server recommended things to do in Austin. The meal was good but not elite. Pretty solid establishment overall. We are :)

It was a cold night with temps in the 30’s, but they had the side walls rolled down and the fireplace going and it was very comfortable. I appreciated that their stools at the bar have backs on them. (One of my personal quirks). I ordered the 7 layer salad and thought it was delicious. However when I go back I would ask for dressing on the side as it was a bit heavy.

Service was great (Kitana) and food suggestions were as well. Had the carnitas tacos as well as the 7 layer salad.

The most personable and friendly service we had in a week in Austin. We did not plan on eating here but the rain came down and there were flood warnings so we ate in the hotel. Steve made our dinner wonderful! The pork tacos were so tasty!! Would do dinner all over again.

Chelsea was the best server!! We had the burnt ends and it was exceptional. Would recommend to anyone. Great music

Cesar was such a great waiter! He made my best friends birthday so special with a nice desert. 10/10

In Austin for a conference and went here for lunch as it’s next door to the JW Marriott. Great location on the corner do you can watch the world go by. It’s quite ‘trendy’ and lots of ‘bright young things’ lunching there. Food was good but getting served was a real problem. Tried to eat there 3 times and gave up twice and went elsewhere.

Ellie is great!! Such a pleasant experience- he was so kind and genuine! Loved my food so much will definitely be back!

Indoor and Outdoor seating...grat menu, staff, location great vibe...reasonable prices & plenty of menu options..professional staff

Great service, great location, and I could warm up outside since the JW Marriott was so cold! The staff was attentive and very nice. It's a great place to enjoy a drink while being outside and watching the world go by.

Breakfast at the Corner was very good but pricey, to be expected at a hotel restaurant. The restaurant itself is very spacious and comfortable, relatively quite even when crowded. Service was good but can be improved. For instance, the waitress brought us our coffee had to go back to get the sugar, and again had to go back for stirrers. When the food came out (the all american breakfast), no salt, pepper or hot sauce, so we had to ask for it. I think that the waitress should ask when serving, but it should not reflect on the restaurant. Perhaps the waitress was new. The food was perfectly cooked and tasty. Worth the visit.

We had a nice patio table, service was good and so was the food. Menu isn’t big, but it has a little bit of everything. This is in the JW Marriott and we were staying there so it was convenient.

I went for drinks and dinner with friends, and everything was delicious. We sat inside because it was cold out, but had a great view of the outdoor space which was beautiful. I would go again, everything tasted really good.

Ellie was so kind and attentive when we came for brunch! He had a positive and welcoming attitude. We loved him!!

This place is awesome, from ambiance to food to service this place is perfect!! Ask for my girl Remi who gives the BEST food recommendations!!

Great corn bread and entrees all around . But Chelsea made the meal fun, friendly—we loved her energy!! Thanks.

We celebrated our friend’s birthday here and the food, drinks, and service were all incredible! Our server Kitana went above and beyond :)

My son and I were visiting Austin and had just flown in from California. We were hungry and a bit tired. This place was EXACTLY what we needed. Slightly warm outside we both had beers to drink. They had a wide variety and I chose the Hefeweizen. Our server was very good, we forgot her name but she was originally from Montenegro. We split the burger and some tacos. Very tasty indeed. We were happy we stopped here and would return again. The one tiny criticism was the tap water tasted like it came from a garden hose. Oh well, it made the beer that much better.

Had a great meal with excellent mixed drinks by celebrity bartender Jess (Tina Fey). “Tina” made you feel very welcomed and was attentive to your needs even when the bar was packed.

We can't say enough good things about this bar and location. Very friendly staff and a nice wine and local beer selection. Cara was super nice and attentive. She's the reason for the five stars! Thank you for this nice place to relax. We will be back.

Despite a very unfriendly and uninterested staff member at the front desk showing us to our table ( we asked to be sat in the room that had other diners not alone in the room she wanted us to sit in!) this was a great dining experience. The waiter, a lovely lady from San Antonio, was super friendly. Portions were large and delicious - the Nachos were the freshest i have tasted ! -music and decor was just right - will return.

Our waitress Kitana was amazing and made my first visit at Corner a great one! She was so eager to help us and made sure we were having a great time! If you ever come here make sure to ask for her as your server, she won’t disappoint!

We stumbled on this restaurant by chance and we were not disappointed. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with lighting and comfortable seating. The waitress was very friendly and enthusiastic. The zuchini cornbread was fantastic. The peppers prepared 2 ways were also good. The carnitas was the best I’ve ever had. It was seasoned to perfection. The chicken sandwich and burgers were also very good. I would definitely come back.

Excellent place! Great food, welcoming treatment from the staff. Our waiter, Alex, was very kind. Would 100% recommended!!!

This restaurant is located in the JW Marriott hotel and it was a great experience. I took a stroll down Congress Ave from the Capitol building and ended my walk here starving for dinner. I ended up only getting a salad, but there were a lot of good southern options on the menu. There’s a great ambience to the place as well.

Came here to meet up with some of our girls, and have a bit of Christmas celebrating. We always love, both staying at the hotel, as well as eating at Corner! The food is consistently fabulous! Amanda was our server, she was on point! She took all of our orders (from memory) and did not miss a beat. She put up with all our silly laughter, and silly comments. Just an absolute delight! We will be asking for her again. The Richards family

I dropped in for a solo dinner and sat at the bar. Service was quick and excellent! I had the tacos as the bartender recommended. Combination fish, beef, pork Carnitas. All were absolutely outstanding and went very nicely with a local amber beer. Highly recommend!

The menu is limited, but everything we ordered was very good. I had the braised short rib with Brussel sprouts and it was delicious. My husband had the Cobb salad, which was also very good. My mom had the shrimp and grits and she said the dish was very tasty, shrimp were a nice size, but there wasn’t a whole lot of grits. The kids had chicken tenders and a cheeseburger and both were very good. We also had great service.

The restaurant was empty and they offered a bad table that is not stable and in the worst space, we had a reservation and they were mean after begging for other table they gave us another one in a way that like we don’t worth it. We stayed in jw at that time and during the reservation i walked early and asked for a nice table if they didn’t want to give us a table they should have just said fully booked and i would have gone anywhere else. Didn’t like the experience, food was okay , server was helpful just weird treatment from the host

Stopped here for a quick drink while exploring Austin. Highly recommend their strawberry mule signature cocktail (we had 3 of this) 😳

Dropped down for dinner at the Corner after a long day of travel. My server Chelsea was fantastic and put me onto some fabulous tacos. Quick service, friendly and helpful staff, great food.

I would highly recommend this restaurant!! Amanda’s service was amazing, she went to great detail to explain every aspect of the menu and was extremely helpful and informative. The braised short rib was phenomenal and would order it again!

One of few guests in servers section and still couldn’t get good or even decent service. Bloody Mary was lame. Food below average and cold. Waited to get check and couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Great atmosphere. Our server had fantastic recommendations and provided great service. Food was tasty and the craft beer selection was a highlight.

Amazing food. Grilled chicken sandwich was amazing and I must say the bartender MJ was so accommodating. She had such a great attitude and took very good care of us.

The staff at Corner Restaurant did an exceptional job making the surprise engagement party I hosted on October 19, 2019 a complete success. The food was terrific (tostadas!, yum), bartenders, along with the wait staff, were attentive and made sure no one waited on drinks or cocktails too long, and the East Bar area we occupied was kept immaculately clean the entire time. Furthermore, the process beforehand of understanding our options for the event in terms of venues within the JW, food and drink selections, and what we were allowed to bring/place in terms of decorations was clear and seamless. The Private Dining Staff was super responsive and excited to make the day as easy as possible. Thank you so much!

The Burger was delicious, and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. Would definitely come back because of the food and the service from our waiter Nick.

I was staying at the JW Marriott and decided to go stay close doe to the virus. It was early (about 5pm) so I decided to get a drink or 2 and then decide what to do about dinner. The waiter informed me that if I didn't order food I could not order a drink. I left and went to another (and much better) restaurant a short walk away and had a a few drinks AND a nice dinner afterward. I asked the desk manager at the JW Marriott if he was aware of the no eat-no drink rule at Corner, and he was not. He also was not happy about it and said he would definitely investigate the rule. BTW, the Corner waiter was also very rude. My recommendation is for you to skip this place and walk down 2nd Street about 800 feet to a nice bar and restaurant.

Lively atmosphere, offering bar & food. The menu isn’t very large, and is expensive. Our waitress was great - chatty, friendly and very good at upselling dishes (sides and extra’s). We enjoyed our meal though.

The corner is a great spot to have a drink, it has a great atmosphere while sitting in the sun BUT firstly, make sure you check your bill as they include their tip and bank you not reading and added a second tip. Secondly, stay away from the frozen alcohol as it might taste nice while drinking but what ever cheap alcohol they use will get you later.

Kitana was amazing. Never been to Corner bar before. Definitely coming back!!! Maybe just to see her.

Jess is the friendliest bartender I have enjoyed in quite some time. Attentive, and engaging. Had a great time at the corner bar.

Needs major work. Had dinner and drinks here and let's start with the food. The salad came with so much dressing we could not see the salad so the server kindly replaced it with another dish. Grouper was very good. Cornbread undercooked. We then moved to the bar for the next round and for desert we were suggested and ordered the apple cobbler and when it arrived it was a cherry cobbler and the single worst cobbler I have ever tasted in my life. The cherry's taste like they came out of cherry pie can and crumble tasted like crumbled brown sugar and it wasn't even warm, absolutely awful. We ordered a bottle of Malbec from the amazing bartender who ended up allowing the other bartenders to pour our wine to other guests so we were just charged for our two glasses. Odd, I know. Staff here is so nice but the food needs a new chef.

Atmosphere was fine, we sat outside which was nice for a change. Our server was very attentive, thank you Nestor. I ordered the beef tacos, which were delicious. My bf ordered the american breaksfast which were ok, a bit uninspired and quite a dry meal as the eggs were scrambled. Personally if you want a traditional breakfast this isn't the place to go.

We stopped in for a late lunch after checking into the Marriott. Our server was pleasant and our drinks were good. Off to a good start! The 3 Dips and Chips “starter” came out and was okay but nothing special. Basically what you get at any chain Mexican restaurant at no charge, plus a tablespoon of guacamole and a tablespoon of what appeared to be canned cheese dip . And then the catastrophe of sandwiches arrived. The Crispy Chicken sandwich that was recommended by our waiter was a sad combination of stale hard bun, chicken so overcooked and dry that it was hard to even chew enough to swallow it, and accompanying bits of unripe tomato, avocado, etc that did not improve the experience and actually did nothing other than make the sandwich difficult to eat. I simply gave up. To add insult to injury, the fries that were on the plate were barely warm and very very old. Clearly they had seen a lot of time after the fryer under some warming lamp. Our other sandwich was a Smoked Brisket au jus Dip. The brisket was so fatty as to be nearly inedible (we pulled as much of the fat off as we could), a hard stale roll, and the same nearly room temperature fries. Bad experience that I’ll just chalk up to a learning experience. Don’t eat at hotel restaurants.

Attending a conference at JW Marriott and this was the closest place to hang out and catch up with friends. Ambiance is great and servers are friendly. Our server was Teressa who was awesome. I tried the bisque and the chicken 7 layer salad, both awesome. Fully recommend this place.

We ate here almost a year ago, had great service, food was wonderful, and we couldn’t wait to go back. Since we live in Round Rock, we don’t get downtown very often. We had an opportunity to return this past weekend for our friend’s Birthday and I remarked on the reservation that it was Cathy’s Birthday. This time, I was a little disappointed and not in a hurry to go back. Our first waitress was Elora and she was wonderful but we heard she no longer worked there. We had Brendan instead and he was not very attentive. It took forever to get drinks, which may not have been Brendan’s fault but I do feel that he could have communicated with us a bit better about the situation. Cathy (BDay girl) ordered a glass of wine but what she ordered was not in stock. She was not informed of this until all of our other drinks came out. She ordered an alternate glass and we were all finished our drinks and ready to order a second and had eaten our appetizer before her glass arrived. The short ribs were the main reason I wanted to go back. They were delicious the first time, but this time they were dry and disappointing. Cathy also never received ANY kind of Happy Birthday wish from the staff. Not even just a little comment from anyone. Overall disappointing. Even though I’m not opposed to going back to Corner, there are a lot of other restaurants in this area and I think we will try those out instead of returning to Corner

Such a great dinner! Nicole was very helpful at pointing us in the right direction for our dinner choices (appetizer, entrees, dessert and drinks!) Will definitely be back for more.

The server was clearly over-worked, but we had an outdoor table and the slow service didn't bother us. We had a great meal.

Operated as part of the JW Marriott hotel, Corner is a restaurant bar at ground level of the hotel. The restaurant is strategically located just 1 block north of the Congress Avenue bridge, and the location combined with the great food and beverages is a hit! It's a little pricey, so if you find yourself in Austin Monday-Thursday, make sure to drop by for Happy Hour, which is brief, but offers great deals--with $5 drinks and appetizers..

Awesome restaurant with cool scenery. For our first time dining, our server Patrick gave amazing recommendations and answered all of our newbie questions. Food was spectacular and scenery was amazing!

The restaurant is very nice and very pretty inside. The food is good. The service is really what makes the restaurant stand out. The prices were a little better than some of the really expensive options. It was really nice.

Came with my friends for a night out in austin, they were covid compliant and andy was the best server ever!

We went to stay at Barton Creek Resort and we stop there to have lunch when we arrived. I was there last year to have dinner. Different situation of course with COVID this year. Lonely, few persons only but with all CDC precautions. Liked the the food . We stay outdoor was not hot. The service all like it very much. Will go again in another visit to Austin.

Very busy place with no tables available. We sat at the bar and ordered a brisket sandwich and a "old-fashioned" hamburger. Both were excellent, and the accompanying French fries were outstanding. Margarita was just okay.

This is a large and first rate restaurant in the heart of downtown. My food was excellent-I had the Chipotle Honey Salmon and a side salad, and my cocktail was good and strong. Service was friendly and quick. One note: I sat outside in decent weather and it was very nice.

The food was great. After being all set with BBQ for the week I settled on some fish and it was delicious

Great food and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend! Our server Nick was great, we got our food quickly, and all of it was delicious!

Joe & Alex we’re so awesome! We visited the city for a work conference and these two really took care of us. As visitors they made us feel like family and the drinks were delicious.

Great burgers! Chelsea is an astounding waitress. The ambiance and music set the tone for a lovely evening.

We order the “poblano queso” it was horrible, it was the cheese dip that you got at the movies when you were a teenager. We also ordered a burger which at Wendy’s or BK would have been better. The seven layer salad was fine, I asked for it with the dressing on the side and it came with it anyway.

Had drinks and apps two days in a row at this place! Excellent service both days by the bartender Blake and our server Cesar was amazing . Food was awesome and the cocktails were even better!

#greatplace. Delish food. Corner restaurant - Amanda was attentive. Pool area has amazing views. Great for sunset watching. Nice decors. Bar area is so amazing!

Came to Corner with some of the guys from work to enjoy a couple beers and watch the game. The food came out fast, beers ice cold, the waiter Tyler was constantly checking our table, and we won the game! highly recommended spot PS Burnt ends are a must!

We came specifically for the shishito peppers, and we were not disappointed. We got 2 salads and margs. Everything was incredible. We sat at the socially distanced bar top tables. The bartender had a great personality and accent. 10/10 would recommend Corner if in Austin.

Chelsea is great... I’m visiting from Los Angeles and let me tell you, delicious food, great service and such reasonable prices. I will definitely be back!!! Thank You Corner you did not disappoint

I ordered the 7 layer salad to go. It had a great flavor, but there was not nearly enough food for the $17 tag! Unfortunately, I didn't have time to seek an alternative venue to eat due to time constraints and it being Christmas Eve (limited options). Prior to this, I was planning on eating here again tomorrow (since they're scheduled to be open on Christmas and I'm working away from home), but the food quantity was so inadequate that I'll likely try to find somewhere else.

Great menu with choices for everybody. Pleasant atmosphere that has a nice buzz without being too loud. Convenient location. And great service from Nick.

Excellent food, big portions, not a big choice in dishes but freshness guaranteed and great service by Nick!

Brussel sprouts are delicious and they have good food. I especially loved the service by Markita. I would come back mainly for apps and a drink.

Good food! We got a burger and some appetizers to share. Good prices compared to what you pay in other American cities. Recommended.

Jessica is hands down the best bartender at the J -dub! Everyone loves her and she's always positive! Seriously, Conference or not she goes the extra mile! She’s a true rockstar that goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. As a Diamond member with Delta, she is at the top of her game, she’s an amazing sever!!!!

Dave and Joe were awesome. Great Bloody Mary and service. Loved the chicken sandwich too. They were great bartenders and waiters.

We had breakfast here. The food wasn’t anything great and the service was indifferent at best. My chilaquiles were overwhelmingly just chips and the eggs, which I had ordered over medium were barely cooked. We had to ask more than once for sugar for the coffee (it wasn’t on the table nor were salt or pepper) and then finally got a refill of coffee. We got the check but no one came to pick it up so after waiting more than 15 minutes finally got up and took it to the cashier ourselves. The place was empty so I am not sure why our server disappeared. It was expensive for what it was and has a very limited menu so I would go someplace else if you have a choice.

Corner restaurant has a great atmosphere, great food and friendly service. I had the pleasure of eating here for breakfast and dinners during my 4 day stay! Never disappoint. If you are visiting Austin, give this restaurant a try

Nice ambiance and great service... thanks Nick. Stopped in for a drink and desserts. All delicious. A convenient location for hotel guests to grab a relaxing meal.

Friday night is a busy night, crowded and without reservations seemed impossible to get a meal. The Corner seemed deceivingly packed with a lively crowd, but when we went inside, the place expanded to infinity. We secured a very comfortable booth, and Melissa took great care of us with friendly and attentive service. The tomato bisque was rich and satisfying, the chicken and white bean chili perfectly seasoned and the turkey club was generous and fresh. The beer and wine selection was wide and diverse....something for every pallet. A great stop!

I stopped in here for dinner while I was in town for a seminar. The chef was kind enough to make me a special plate with 1 pork, 1 beef, and 1 fish taco...its a combination of the 3 different kinds of tacos on the menu. The beef and pork were outstanding, and the fish was pretty good, especially for a guy who usually doesn't like fish tacos. I also had the burnt ends. These don't taste burnt by the way. They're the outside part of a barbecue brisket where all the seasonings are ribbed in, and they were very tender. My server, Julia, was attentive and very positive. I think she really enjoys her work. I'd definitely recommend the Corner at the JW Marriott anytime you're in downtown Austin. They serve breakfast, too.

We went here twice during our stay. The food and service is excellent. We don’t usually go to the hotel restaurants but this one was great Nicole was a great server and the service is very fast and friendly. Highly recommend! Amazing cornbread, tacos, apple cobbler, white chili, 3 dips and appetizer chip

We had a good experience having drinks and appetizers on a weeknight evening. We sat outside on the couches and enjoyed the weather. Our server was attentive. The margarita was great, and so was the burnt bbq tips (a little spicy!).

The breakfast egg white omelet was the best I have ever had in my life!!!! Soooo gooood taste. It's a must!!! Excellent brisket sandwich!!!! The salmon and chicken had an excellent taste. Sherry did a great job attending us!! Sherry

The service was great, the staff was very friendly, the food was pretty good, and they had more of a beer selection than most of the other places that we went to in Austin. I’m definitely glad we stopped here. The only knock I can really find is that it was a little on the pricier side. But it’s definitely a good place.

Me and some friends came to visit from Minnesota, our waitress Jade was phenomenal. Hands down the BEST waitressing I've ever experienced; very kind, friendly and personable. If you ever visit the corner, request for a table with jade.

Wonderful experience, welcoming staff, warm atmosphere. Highly recommended to go and enjoy your meal.

Loved the open kitchen to this restaurant. Had a variety of items on the menu and our server was attentive to our needs. Would recommend to other travelers.

We’re staying in the JW Marriott and went down on a Friday night for a drink and late night snack. We walked in from the hotel entrance and nobody greeted us. We were I guess standing there like tourists. Walked to the host stand by the exterior door and the guy said to seat ourselves so we did. We sat at a table for literally 10 minutes and nobody came to greet us there either or even bring us a menu or water. Nothing. Felt totally unseen. Do not recommend. 0 stars. Only go here on a Friday night if you want to be ignored by the staff.

My company's holiday party was at Corner Restaurant. We searched a lot of places for a restaurant that could accommodate our size group (15-20) during the holidays, and also work with a tight time frame. The private dining sales manager, Jaleesa was so helpful and made everything happen. Her suggestion for having appetizers and wine ready for when everyone arrived was exactly what was needed, and the amount was just right. The food was excellent – everyone in attendance had compliments on the food and the wine, all recommended by Jaleesa. The night of our reservation we were running late due to traffic – I called Jaleesa to let her know, she didn’t miss a beat, and rearranged around it. They were ready and waiting when we arrived. Our server Nick was fantastic! He greeted us at the door, asked about the timeline since we were late, and made sure the courses were served at just the right time so that we could make it to our show at Esther's Follies without feeling rushed. It was a wonderful experience! I have already booked another event for family this time - can't wait to eat there again!

Joe and Alex at the outside bar were fantastic!! What a great place and great food. I love this bar and being outside.

Cool place in the JW Marriott but wouldn’t let that bother you. Very attentive staff, lovely choice of drinks and wine list, and had a bar snack which was lovely. Impressed and vibe was chilled.

Melissa was the best!! She accommodated my substitutions and had great recommendations. Also - order the prickly pear margarita.

I’m in town for only a couple days and corner bar looked like a nice spot to try out! Tried a the prickly pear margarita and it was amazing! My server Chelsea was super welcoming and had some great recommendations about must visit places around town. Thank you!

Me and my gf had dinner on March 5th 2021. We had reservations and were seated right away. Drinks were very good. I had the old fashioned and it was perfect. For entree I had the wagyu beer and she had the salmon. Both were exquisite and very tasty. We also ordered a side of the brussel sprouts to share and they were the best we’ve ever had. The highlight of the visit was our waiter. I unfortunately cannot remember his name, but he was excellent. He gave very good suggestions and was very professional and gave perfect service. I will definitely be visiting again!

For a hotel lunch this spot isn't that bad. It was a bit loud and the ambience was okay, though we were sitting in the bar area with lots of staff walking towards the kitchen. The food is of fair quality. Fish was a bit dry and the salad not a lot out-of-the-ordinary in terms of sight and what's in it. So price quality in general barely a pass. Staff was genuinely welcoming and friendly, so that upgraded the experience. For a Marriott, you would expect a little better

Best brownie I've ever eaten, served up by the equally sumptuous Katana! I'll be back for 15 more. Restaurant had a great vibe! Good lighting, great music, excellent service, and a top notch dessert. 10/10

Excellent hearty meal. Started with homemade guacamole and chips which were fresh and great start while having a cocktail. Dinners were short rib and grits which were tender and creamy as well as the pollo dish which was slightly spicy but flavorful.

Corner Restaurant really hit it out of the park this morning for our Valentine’s Brunch! Ellie’s service was attentive and thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from the delicious food to the elevated experience!

My wife and I were celebrating our 9th anniversary and had a horrible experience at another restaurant we had mad reservations at in Austin. Nicole at Corner was perfect in righting our not so great night. Even though the restaurant was busy, she was super attentive and made sure we always had enough water and drinks with out meal! I can't suggest this place enough, especially if you're visiting town! The food was great, and the drinks were just the right mix!

Excellent food and very good service. The wagyu steak is very delicious, as are the beef ribs, the salmon is excellent, the tuna toast is also delicious, the only thing we don't recommend is the fish ceviche. The service is good. We just didn't like that they charged us 20% for service and they wanted more gratification. In general highly recommended. Note: I don't know English and the reception staff (I think the restaurant manager) was very attentive and spoke to us in Spanish and asked us for a waitress who knew Spanish and that made our dinner easier for us. Thank you all.

Had a nice spot sitting at the bar with my wife, late lunch as we had been out walking the river trails, hot, thirsty & hungry. My wife had the Barbacoa tacos which she really enjoyed, a squeezable lime and maybe some salsa would have been perfect, I had the burger, it was great as is, the shoe string fries were a great shareable nibble, maybe a tad salty for me. Prices kinda high, maybe this is typical for Austin.

The server Melissa selected a perfect recommendation for me. The restaurant has a nice eclectic feel to it. Wish my girlfriend was with me to enjoy the atmosphere. The food was awesome. Great start for a work week. You will like this place with a date for sure.

Thanks Braxton for looking after us. We popped in after watching bats on bridge, and had a fab 7 layer salad, and my husband had the burger.. left enough room for desert cocktail which was delicious.

Fun drinks, good food and service, a bit dark and noisy. We wished we could have been outside, but think that may have just been for bar patrons.

Very nice interior, great lighting and off course service was great, especially our server Chelsea. All should come here !

Amazing food and service. Ask for Jade to be your server she’s the best! Margs and nachos are great too.
great but limited
had both my dinners here. The burger was really good and so where the fries. The 2nd night, tried the pork tacos, Excellent! Rusty nail was done really well. The mgr staff were very accommodating and pleasant. there dinner menu is much more limited than I would have thought but maybe that is by design.
